I ordered a 16 oz ribeye and a baked potato with butter and sour cream. The potato arrived with nothing on it. The steak had an odd, unpleasant taste and it took 35 minutes to arrive. I've never tasted a steak with a flavor like that. The bar only has a beer and wine license. It used to serve spirits but I was told ownership changed, that's why they can only serve beer and wine, and they hope to get a full liquor license.

Place is very outdated. Kind of more cafeteria looking. Food was pretty expensive for what you got. The prime rib was tough and could have been seasoned more. The plate was basic with no garnishes. There were only one red and one white wine or a bud light to drink if you wanted alcohol. This is changing from what I have heard. Service was okay. Our waitress said she was supposed to leave but should stay to help us. She was nice.

My wife and I ate dinner here the other night when we were staying the night in the motel next-door.
We both had the prime rib which was $36 which came with a choice of soup and either mashed or a baked potato.
The meal was good but I think they were kind of cheap with the bread basket cause they only gave us two pieces of bread and the butter was room temperature.
And I was informed that they have literally just started serving alcohol there the previous week, which was not a problem, the beer was only six bucks. Pretty good for a blue moon.
In the menu was a little bit limited only two pages tops but it’s a small steak house so I can’t really complain.
Will eat there Next time we’re up there.

We ate here a few years ago and it was good, but nothing spectacular. Heard it changed ownership so we came in on Friday night for dinner. They were very busy but we got a table right away. The person that got us menus and water did such a great job of taking care of us I was kind of shocked to find she was not a waitress but just a host. She really started things out on the right foot here and it just got better when we got our food... I tried a bite of the prime rib, which was excellent!! I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly. This will be my first choice for dinner on my next visit to Burney!

Worst meal we have had all year. We used to come here all the time when we were in the area for work and always looked forward to it. We hadn't been in a while, and my how things sure have changed.
Let me be clear to begin with that the service was great. No complaints there
Other than that, the best part of the meal was the bread and my salad. My wife and I both ordered the cream of broccoli soup which was nothing more than warm milk and steamed broccoli. A total disappointment.
My wife ordered a New York steak medium rare at a premium price. What she got was a steak that was well done and burnt on one side and barely seared on the other. Not to mention that I think he cell phone was thicker than what they were trying to pass off as a New York. Also. there was absolutely no flavor other than the burnt parts.
I ordered the Steak Fettuccine medium rare. Again, I've held pieces of paper thicker then their steaks. but that would have been fine if their pays hadn't been under cooked and their Alfredo sauce actually had any flavor.
This used to be one of our favorite spots but I don't see us going back anytime soon.

I would like to thank the folks of Burney for making my trip with my girlfriend special. We have both been through some extreme times (as many of you may have also had) over this past two years or so. I personally never get to do anything fun and don’t always get professional treatment. I would like to thank our server who was not only inviting and thorough, but also warm and caring. I noticed a couple of restaurants that had closed for good here and I would hate to see that. This is such a charming and nice town. What if the owners of this venue were able to bring in some live music once in a while. Maybe host some events. Maybe they could rent it for private parties on occasion? The casino should surely bring in some seasonal business right? I can’t imagine how hard it is to run a spot. I think covid just took away so many aspects of our lives. It will eventually come back. i just wanted to offer a little something from my heart, as the beauty of this place humbled me in a way. Also the food was excellent. I had the minestrone, which was the best I’ve ever had. The burger we shared was light & buttery. I will come back sometime. This is where you want to take your wife for a quality experience. Trust me.

We were one of the last customers of the evening and the chef came out and talked to us. Very nice guy. I wish this was a local place for us. Good old fashion customer service.

Excellent service and delicious - had lemon chicken with wild rice and farm fresh steamed veggies and one son had a rib eye and the other had ravioli and both loved their meals. The food and service were fantastic. We loved the pepperoni pizza and bread stick twists, and that made Gepetto's was a great place to stop after a full day of hiking. It seemed that everyone else dining in got the salad bar, but we did not so I can't comment on that option though it was extremely popular.

This restaurant was the only one open late after our Cinder Cone hike in Lassen Volcanic National park. We went here hungry but we were a bit disappointed with the food. We started with Hot and Sour soup ( helped reduce the cold) and egg rolls (we could smell something was wrong with the oil used to fry it). For the main course we had a dinner combo platter ( which comes with a cup of soup of the day - egg flower, chow mein, fried rice, one egg roll and one curry of the day - cashew shrimp) and a Hong Kong style vegetarian chow mein. The portion size of the dishes are pretty big and serves more than one per dish.

I came here as a kid years ago, back when they had the big fish and the large spinning table, so there’s definitely some nostalgia tied to Dragon Palace for me. The restaurant still has that same old-school Burney charm — a little rustic and worn down, but you get used to it after a while.
The service was absolutely amazing. Our server was friendly, attentive, and handled everything on her own like a pro. The tea was really good, and there were plenty of drink and beer options to choose from.
The food could be a bit better — my shrimp with lobster sauce mostly tasted like egg drop soup over shrimp, and the wontons were a little bland and rubbery. My friend ordered the fried chicken rice, which was about what you’d expect for a small-town restaurant like this — decent, straightforward, and filling.
Still, the great service and nostalgic atmosphere make it worth visiting again. I’ll probably try the General Chicken next time and hopefully be able to update this to five stars.

The food was great. We ordered lots of appetizers - fried prawns, crab and cream cheese wontons, egg rolls, and hot and sour soup. We tried the orange chicken, Hong Kong style pork chow mein, pork fried rice, sweet & sour pork, bbq pork egg fu young, and almond chicken. We visted for breakfast, which did not dissapoint. I ordered the denvor omelet which was good. Everything was fresh including the coffee. The portions is large enough where you can share it. The service was friendly and welcoming. If you are like me a tourist who was in the area for burney falls this should also be a place for you to stop at, you wont be dissapointed.

The meal was okay the sauce was spicy and with flavor that is not for me. Rice was not fresh or was overcooked. Beans were okay. Their menu has a great variety of dishes and baked goods. I ordered doughnuts and a turkey sandwich. They were both delicious. The doughnuts were crispy on the outside and soft and yummy on the inside. The turkey sandwich was fresh and delicious. Generous portions and made to order. The prices are very reasonable for the area. The inside is a little older, but clean and neat. They are also open on Sundays which I hope helps them have lots of repeat customers. I will be coming here often and I highly recommend everyone do the same!

Very bad restaurant in this little casino. You'll have to pick a table as no one is ready to greet you. You have a 1 hr wait for dry or undercooked Sysco food. I ordered the ribeye and was served it's soup 30 minutes after ordering, while steak took the next 30 minutes. This is despite there being 2 other tables with people. I ordered medium rare but was served very rare, nearly blue which is amazing after an hour of it in the kitchen. I'd have sent it back but I didn't want to wait another hour, and my party refused to leave. The mashed potatoes are dry and it's gravy showing signs of sitting long enough to cool. Another's well done sirloin was quite charred. There are probably a few decent restaurants around but River Rock is at the bottom of all restaurants.

Crispy fries, meaty chili, and while I normally don't like macaroni salad it was amazing. it is like the best parts of potato salad and macaroni salad together.
