A few days ago I went to Orito's (Hartamas) for breakfast. Small but nice local place. The pastry selection was a bit restricted, so we had 2 doughnuts. They were good, soft and not at all greasy. Better custard than pistachio. I would like to try the TTDI store hoping to find a wider selection of pastries.

It was a spontaneous dining as we so happen to drive through the area. Loved their pastries but forgotten to take pictures of it. We also had their tomato soup which was pretty decent and punchy in flavours. The burgers was slightly sloppy, so be prepared to have messy hands after having it. Great coffee and also friendly staffs.
Be prepared to wait for a seat too, especially during brunch time.

Came here for the doughnuts but was pleasantly surprised by the brunch and coffee as well. Croissant with prawns and avocado was a light but tasty treat, and coffee is legit too. They were out of most doughnut flavours when we arrived so we tried the earl grey which was a tad bit too sweet.

I like the food and coffee a lot, in the past week, came here for brunch everyday same coffee and food. Their staff even remembered me and my preference for food. That’s very impressive.

Came here for breakfast which is located just in front of our hotel and I loved the earl grey bombolini; very fragrant and delectable. The avocado shrimp croissant which was their best seller was amazing. Not a croissant person but I really enjoyed the crispy layers of the croissant here and the presentation looked like a piece of art with the beetroot puree splatter on the plate. Drinks are normal here, nothing to shout about but the pastries are awesome at this cafe.Oh the sticker on their takeaway packaging is adorable too!

I recently visited Sugar and I and was absolutely blown away! I tried four of their doughnuts: the Bueno, Nutella, Tiramisu, and the White Chocolate Custard—and each one was pure perfection. The flavors were rich, indulgent, and incredibly satisfying.
To top it all off, the flat white I had was expertly made and paired perfectly with the doughnuts. The balance of sweetness and coffee was spot on. The service was fantastic, and the whole experience felt warm and inviting.

The food is nice, though there's nothing particularly unique or special about it. The bomboloni was slightly smaller compared to those from other shops.
However, the hard selling by the staff was quite annoying—they kept pressuring customers to buy more than they wanted to.
The shop at LaLaport is small and cute, but I wouldn’t want to buy from there again, mainly to avoid the aggressive sales tactics.

Upon buying my first taste of Bomboloni, I received a free box set which includes peculiar yet unique Slime Lime & Dracula Kiss flavours for Halloween special menu. Craving for bomboloni, and after googled it, found this place. It was located in the middle of in between building walkaway, not too far from the main door of shopping mall. We arrived around 8.30pm, not much sellection of bombolonis left, only few flavors available such us custard, rapsberry, tiramisu, durian, oreo, matcha & nutella.
The tasty one for me was custard, nutella & blueberry. The rest not up to my expectation. The shop space very compact, if you sit inside. However, few tables available outside the shop that you can hang out while enjoying your meals.
They serve many kinds of desserts, and i only orderer bomboloni. Size quite small, quite pricy even for the drinks.
It is muslim ownered, so you dont have to worry about that. They open daily, closed at 10pm. I love the decoration at main entrance of the shop, however the display items at the counter, not really interesting. Maybe owner can improve on that.
I hope owner pay attention to the plate that serves bomboloni, difficult to eat and cut due to plate was moving around, not suitable to use, for knife as well as it was really difficult to cut the bomboloni. Please change to other type of knife.

I am always a fans of cinnamon rolls from Sugar and i Cafe and today i decided to try bomboloni, cream puffs and tiramisu cake.
The bomboloni was soft, sweet and irresistable. I loved the pistachio and nutella flavour. There are other flavours that you can choose.
The tiramisu cake was awesome, soft and delicious.
One bite was not enough and melted your stress away.
Sitting there and watching people walking by at the walkway with the view of other cafes and drinking the delicious latte brought a happy feeling.
Eventhough it was around noon, the cafe was cosy and seating under the umbrella shade, you can feel the wind was blowing gently.
I would come again and recommend to have your cakes, bomboloni, cinnamon rolls, cream puffs and drink at Sugar and i Cafe after your lunch at one of the restaurants at Lalaport.
Then you can go shopping at the shops or bring your family to The Lab ( a beautiful exhibition hall with interactive digital art gallery which brings you to a journey beyond imagination) which is just near the Cafe.

Hidden gem!! Located at the basement of Seventeen Mall. Specialises in sourdough bakes. The lemon donut was fried to a crisp with a thin layer of sugar coating. You can see honeycombs holes inside. It's chewy but tender almost like a croissant. Donut was oozing with lemon filling which was tart and cheesy. Honestly, there wasn’t an apparent difference between their sourdough donut and a regular donut; the donuts were chewier, nor did they carry a sour taste;

I have been wanting to get me some of those goodies ever since they popped up on my Insta. Got there around 11am and got myself a Vanilla Crème Brûlée doughnut and a sourdough cookie. The atmosphere was kinda a killjoy and the staff looked really unhappy to be working there, but I digress. Okay the doughnut dough itself was quite nice, torched nicely and had a good tang and chew. The pastry cream was plentiful but had quite an off taste, sort of like when you leave dairy at room temp for quite some time. The biggest disappointment for me was the cookie which was going for I think 7.50 per piece. It was so hard to bite on and there is no such thing as chewiness. I hope they will improve on the texture and the flavour was okay. Hope to go there and try more flavours:)

Discovered this hidden gem through Instagram.
Tucked away in the basement parking of Seventeen Mall. This place served the best donuts in the Klang Valley. Their doughnuts are not just ordinary doughnuts but sourdough. The fillings were very generous. The doughnuts were overload with the fillings. When you tear them or bite into them, the fillings all just explode out.
10/10 would come here again even though the price is about RM10 per doughnut, its really worth it. Really recommend their hojicha doughnut. It's seriously very good.
Do come early as they close early at 3 or even sold out most other flavours at around 2.

We planned the sequence of how we’d eat our donuts so that the flavours gradually intensified. We did Pandan Crème, Vanilla Bean, Yuzu Crème Brûlée & finally Kota Marudu Dark Chocolate.
What can I say but Pandan Creme was divine. I pulled out a tiny quarter & from over a feet away, i could smell fragrant pandan. I mentioned it to the proprietor & he told me that all care is taken to extract the finest essence!
Also, Kota Marudu Dark Choc Donut was excellent.
I chose to describe these 2 using local produce.

Fresh and lovely assortment of donuts that change flavours seasonally! The owner was very accomodating with me and helped arrange the donuts into a tower for a mini birthday celebration. Service was great as they also assisted in cutting the donuts for us to make sharing easier (there were 4 of us).
And of course, the donuts were tasty and with a great fluffy texture. Would come back again!

Hmmm, had mixed feelings when I bite into their doughnut. We ordered 2 doughnuts, maple beef bacon donut and yuzu creme brulee donut.
The bacon beef donut was ok, the bacon was crispy but we felt that the icing sugar was a bit too sweet for us.
We were very confused with the yuzu donut as we felt that the yuzu overpowered the creme brulee. Both doughnut were not as fluffy as expected.
This was our personal view, do visit their shop and give them a try😊

The service was excellent as I was struggling to pour my chili sauce out of a new bottle, without requesting, the waiter offered to pour it for me. That was surprisingly pleasant.

Jaslyn Cakes is one of the OG bakeries in KL. I come here knowing that it’s foolproof when you are craving to eat a good slice of cake.
My favourites are their salted caramel chocolate ganache (rich choc & not sweet at all), lemon drizzle butter loaf & most recently, the pistachio cake
Only downside for their Bangsar outlet is the limited seating & how cramped it is as the store is only half a store. Best for grab & go

Recently ordered the red velvet cake for a birthday. Easy online ordering. They even offered the option of laminating a small message to put on the cake.
Decoration of cake is very minimalist. So I felt I had to jazz up the cake myself.
Flavour and texture wise, the cake was spot on.
Service: when I went to collect the cake, the staff were attentive . They asked when I will be eating the cake and even offered to cling wrap the box after finding out it will be 24 hours before the party.
Cons: parking here is difficult. Hardly any parking which causes a headache.

I did the ordering online and it was easy. Collected the cake, and the staff were attentive and even offered to cling wrap my cake box to prevent drying out when they found out that I will only be eating it 24 hours later.

I've visited Jaslyn’s many times whenever I’m in KL, but this time was quite a disappointment. I bought two cakes — the Lemon Drizzle and the Chocolate Salted Caramel. The lemon cake was decent, but the chocolate one was a letdown. At RM25 per slice, I expected much more. The cake was dry, the caramel was bitter, and most of all, I had hoped for a rich couverture chocolate ganache. Instead, it tasted like low-quality chocolate.
I really hope they improve the quality of their bakes — I’ve always loved visiting and would be happy to return in the future 🙏🏽

If you are a bread and pastry lover and want some good German food here in the Klang valley this bakery cum coffee shop serves a variety of daily fresh baked goods and offers some of the classical German dishes like the meatloaf, bratwurst as well as sandwiches.
We had their beef rendang ciabatta sandwich - the crust was slightly crunchy, while the inside was airy and chewy. The filling was tasty too 👍🏼 loved it!
The sunny meatloaf consisted of a leberkäse which is a finely ground, baked meatloaf from southern Germany served together with a sunny side up egg and fresh bread + a side of coleslaw and sauces.
Loved the warm milk served with chocolate bits aka make-your-own hot chocolate- yum! it really warms the soul ❤️
Heard that their apple strudel is good too…
Overall a cosy place to have a a good meal and just chill.

I went to this restaurant last month, the food was nice here. The bread is very ‘packed’ like no air inside of it and the bread is made fresh daily. There are also whole bread to be bought at the spot. The orange juice is a bit sour but I like it. Overall, the food tastes normal for an Asian like me. Bread - 8/10 (Nice breads, taste good could have been better if roasted properly)
My breakfast consisted of meat loaf which was pure artificial sausage. Could be proper meatloaf
Hence I score( 3/10) … it was bland and no taste at all.
There was also a sunny side up. Also the coleslaw was really nice (8/10)
Coffee - 9/10 - very nice!
We also ordered chicken pesto sandwich- 6.5/10 again tastes quite bland. Could really have some flavour.
Utter disappointment is the meat loaf! Portions are big but as a person who has been to Germany food can be improved a lot.

We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday and found the place virtually empty. Quite strange. The pastry and baked goods options were somewhat limited too, not like before.
We ordered three different sandwiches, three different drinks and two different desserts. Quite palatable, even tasty and well put together but seemed to lack verve. The coffees on the other hand weren’t the best and were average at most.
With so many new and exciting cafes emerging into the market, TBS seems to have lost its allure. Maybe it’s time for a rebranding and a menu update.

This is an awesome high end, upmarket "kedai roti", aka bread shop. The bread and pastries are fresh and tasty, it prepared by their chef in the shop.The restaurant is small and cozy. They have good coffee and simple menu for quick meal such as sandwiches etc.
A good place to hangout in between meetings and quite discussion. Service is fast and friendly. The place is clean including the toilets.

I’ve been to this café a few times after my Pilates class because the front area looks really nice and cozy. Unfortunately, I was really put off during my last visit. I had to use the toilet and was shocked to see the state of the kitchen as I passed through.. eggs left on the sink, staff on their phones, and the place looked unhygienic. The toilet wasn’t clean either, and it’s literally facing the kitchen, which makes it even more uncomfortable. I lived in Malaysia for 5 years and out of all the donut shops I've been to, this one was the friendliest and the coffee n donut was really good. I think I'll keep buying coffee here when I go shopping in Mid Valley.

My favourite donuts! Been loving Big Apple for ages but never had any stores close enough to be a regular patron. Unlike Krispy Kreme, Big Apple has an innovative menu and tries out new donut flavours every now and then. I’d put them on or with Dunkin Donuts.

Tried Sugar and I's festive Bomboloni flavors. The Pistachio series was rich and nutty, especially the Kunafa Pistachio is crispy and satisfying.
However, the Niko Neko Matcha lacked flavor, the Tiramisu tasted like Roti Boy, and the Kunafa Pistachio Brownies were too sweet. For the price, we expected better quality.

Super delicious cakes and cupcakes. Lemon poppyseed & hummingbird cupcakes were the best I've ever had! Vanilla raspberry cake was moist with a slight tang. The deco were very beautiful, and I was excited to leave a review. However about the taste, I’m not sure about how the cake was supposed to taste. Since this our first time trying it, is it normal for the icing/top cream to have a very “sugary”, “grainy, “sand” texture when eating it? Almost like the sugar hasnt fully dissolved. Every bite, you would feel the “texture”. Never eaten any icing or cream that obviously feel so “sand-y” in every bite unless you bought cake from cheap cake shop. Or could it be that the icing wasn’t beaten properly? Im not sure. The berry jam inside was nice, cake also acceptable, but the icing was very dissappointing since the cake bought for birthday celebration. We ended up with only eating the cake without those icing/cream.

They also do gifting options ( my deepavali gifting was taken care of because of them) and its so convienent to order online. They are very responsive and also the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I ordered 6 assorted premium cupcakes via Grab. The packaging is really nice. Each cupcake has a holder. We ate the Belgian chocolate cupcake and Lemon Poppyseed cupcake. Both are delicious. There is lemon curd inside the Lemon Poppyseed cupcake.The curd was sour for my husband's liking but for me it's perfect. It was sour but it compliments the creamy icing. The chocolate cupcake is chocolatey. The cupcakes are also moist.
Took me a while to choose which store to buy from cause I was worried about the packaging. I chose this store because I saw in the image that the container holds each cupcake separately. And when it arrived, the cupcakes are packaged nicely and it arrived safely. The cupcakes also looks the same as in the picture.

I have always got the burnt cheese cake n the ever popular Macadamia cheese cake from their branch in TT DI in Kuala Lumpur. Here in BSC there is sure a wide range of pastries , cakes n cookies. It’s so difficult to choose cos everything looks so yummy n delicious. Today, my niece requested to get the lemon cheese cake n the salted caramel cheese cake which are unavailable in the TTDI branch. The sales personnel was very pleasant n courteous n so was the lady cashier. What a pleasant experience for me to shop there. I’m sure my niece will love n enjoy eating the 2 types of cheese cakes as she loves cheese. She says Kenny Hills Bakers use premium cheese for making their cheese cakes unlike other bakeries . Complete scam. This outlet advertises closing at 10:00 PM but refused my order when I called at 9:15 PM.
Staff gave shifting, false excuses (first saying they were closed, then blaming the mall hours). My friend had the exact same experience. They are clearly practicing deceptive conduct.
This is a potential violation of the Consumer Protection Act 1999 (CPA) regarding false/misleading representation (Sec. 10) and possibly the Trade Descriptions Act 2011. Their license is under DBKL, so arbitrarily changing hours may also violate their local licensing terms.
I was declined a manager call back too.
Really disappointed cause i am a regular customer to this outlet.

My first time trying out any of Kenny Hills pastries. Finally got to taste their famous peach strudel. We went here for dessert. We already ate our lunch.
There were tons of choices. Tarts, cheesecakes, cakes and of course strudels. I of course ordered their peach strudel. Also bought one to bring home. We also tried the salted caramel apple cheesecake. We wanted to try out others but we were incredibly full.
Both were scrumptious and delicious. Taste was spot on. I'm now a fan 🥰

I've had some key lime pies in the past with a solid base but this biscuit base eroded at the touch of a knife. No complaints, it was finished in less than 2 minutes and wishing there was more. Had a wonderful time at Arest Cafe! We tried the Truffle Pizza and Tomato Bolognese Pizza, and Truffle Fries, all were absolutely delicious.
For dessert, we had the Matcha Ice Cream and Hojicha Ice Ceam which was smooth and not too sweet—just how we like it. But the highlight was definitely their Strawberry Cake! It's a must-try if you're visiting! (Just a heads-up: it's dine-in only and can't be taken away.)

Delicious food, efficient service and really great atmosphere. We ordered the smoked duck hawaiian pizza, seafood aglio olio and truffle fries. Pizza was amazing, smoky and rich, 10/10, though the crust is very thin so keep that in mind if that's not your preference. Aglio olio was also delicious. The fries were standard frozen fries I think, but the sauce ti came with was delicious.
For dessert we had the castle cheesecake which was also tasty, and thai tea ice cream which was AMAZING, will be coming back just for that. Overall had a wonderful experience, staff were also very helpful and attentive. Would recommend!

Simple bakery and cafe in Setapak. . They do have some delicious choice of sandwiches and donuts as well as pretty good coffee.
I had the nasi lemak sandwich which was lovely and the doughnuts were nice too, with my favorite being the Pandan Gula Melaka. My friend liked their buttercream doughnuts while enjoying his Chicken Toast Sandwich.
I also had a piece of Pandan Gula Melaka Croffles while my friend had the dark chocolate with nuts.
Drinkwise I had the Sakit Hati (honey lime) while he enjoyed his Kopi Patah Hati.
Good thing about this shop is that they have taken the initiative to treat their indoor air with SANAir, which is the one of the best product innovated from Australia in 2020. I feel safer dining in knowing this.

Verdict is I really love their pastas. Their creamy chili crab pasta was awesome! Very nice and creamy taste and actually quite spicy if kept on eating it. But very satisfying. The smoke duck pesto pasta was delicious as well. Both pastas are highly recommended. Their pastries were yummy too. Nice butter croissant, spicy rendang beef puff was good too.
Overall, I would come here again to try some other food they have. The only bummer is that they close by 5pm. So can't have dinner there. But try it out, it's a nice cafe 👍

Ordered their abalone rice. It was nicely presented but portion was rather very small. Taste wise is so so. Doesnt quite blend well with their expensive price. Ice cream durian donut was good though but again if you are a 1st timer it was ok. The ice cream tends to be on the sweet side and the durian cream sauce was not very genuine.
