I arrived at the restaurant and placed my order, I double checked with the waiter on a number of occasions to ensure my order will be gluten free, she said yes, the chef even came round to go through the menu with me and pointed out the gluten free options. I ate the pakoras and I could instantly tell that the batter contained gluten, the same again with my chicken parmesan. I asked the chef what the chicken is coated with he told me it’s "gluten free Texas rub", I had to ask him again to confirm whether the packaging states there is no gluten, he said it says its gluten free, I asked him to bring the packet so I can check for myself.
