Referred to this restaurant by good friends and it did not disappoint. The decor is typical Thai but an elevated version. It very neat and clean too which is important. TBH I didn’t give it much attention or credit since being in a strip Plaza. In fact, the first time my husband wanted to take me here, I adamantly refused since I was dressed up and ready for a night out. Queue the glitz and glamor girl in me 🤣
This time I gave it a chance and so glad I did. Pam and the rest of the staff were extremely attentive, they were consistently making sure we were happy and getting the best of care! And not ‘constantly’ which could make some diners annoyed by too many interruptions. That is a delicate balance which they executed perfectly!!!
Onto the food: hubby got two sushi rolls, both were on point (apologies I didn’t get the types but I tried both and approved 😊). I had the special lobster Pan gong. So good!!! Cooked perfectly and came out with a steamy show! Every one was asking what our table got. Always nice to be “that table”. Then we ordered the seasonal mango and sweet sticky rice dessert, which was *absolutely* delicious. Obvi you need to love mango and rice to truly appreciate this dish. 😉
Because of the service and overall atmosphere/culture of the restaurant, my husband and I felt like family leaving the restaurant. Pam even referred to our first names as we were leaving. That’s unusual but fun! We will be back sooner than later!! Thanks Pam and staff for a wonderful night out.

It has been over five years since I have had the opportunity to order takeout from this restaurant since I no longer live in Florida. I was in town attending a funeral for a former Nielsen colleague. On 6/28/2024, it was 8:45 PM, and the sign on the door showed the restaurant closes at 9 PM. As I reached for the door, it was locked. An older lady opened the door and asked if I was picking up. I said “No”, I wanted to place an order. She informed me the kitchen closed at 8:45 PM, then closed the door and locked it. Having worked in the restaurant industry, if the sign on door says you are open until 9 PM, you don’t close the restaurant until 9 PM, and that includes the kitchen. There was another person who approached the door wanting to order food and was turned away. You can see him in the picture I took of the front of the restaurant. Their food is really good, which is why I came back again on Saturday. They need to update their time on the door and the online website to reflect the time they close the kitchen and avoid upset customers. To be honest, I don’t think they care. I noticed in their reviews that M Ann Gardella reported three months ago the same type issue. If you want to dine in or take out, I suggest you do it before 8 PM regardless of what time is on their door.

In the Boot Ranch area for doctor visits, my wife and I stopped by Amarit for lunch. Seated right away I took a few minutes to look around at the decor. All the appointments certainly put me in a Far East mood.
Looking over the menu my wife chose the luncheon Fried Rice with Chicken. I decided on the luncheon Shrimp Sauté with mixed vegetables. We discussed the spiciness with the waitress and assured her d bwe did want the Thai Hot spice, well acquainted with the heat level. She also picked the Veggie soup while I chose the Chicken soup, to go along with our salads.
We discussed our day and schedules. We gave thanks for the food, for good health and the gorgeous Florida weather. Shortly our soup and salads came. Salad was fresh, crisp, cold and nice. Soup was warm, not really hot, but tasty.
A bit later our meals came. Initial tastes confirmed that the chef had indeed listened to our request. Wonderfully spicy! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her usual - Fried Rice. My shrimp was spiced perfectly and the mix of veggies was crisp and yummy.
Even without any appetizers, the luncheon dishes were large and half came home with us for later. Good food, good service, great atmosphere, we will definitely be back to try other items. At least I will, the wife will undoubtedly get the Fried Rice!

Thoroughly surprised by all the four and five star reviews. Their prices are outrageous compared to other local Thai restaurants, and their food is subpar. I’ve been to nearly every Thai restaurant in the surrounding areas, and this place is at the bottom of the list. We did not have any sushi but we did have quite a few of their Thai dishes. The food wasn’t horrible, but the dishes lacked flavor, and some were watery as in the pad thai. The pad thai was watery, no bean sprouts, no lime, just noodles in a soupy watery sauce with a sprinkle of peanuts. Definitely not the pad thai I’m used to. It just seemed cheaply made. The food quality definitely doesn’t match the price you pay.

Tofu and veggie pad Thai tasted mostly like baby corn, and the tofu was extremely soft with a weird breading that didn’t work for me. Tofu was flavorless. Chicken Panang curry was ok. We did ask for mild spice on both which at most Thai places still has flavor but not as much spice. Here I guess it means mild flavor because both were bland. The fried spring rolls were these weird massive rolls of solid pork with a weird tempura breading. They were probably twice the diameter of a typical fried spring roll. Overall not the worst Thai I’ve ever had but definitely wasn’t great. Hopefully it was just an off night.

This place has the potential to be the BEST Thai restaurant in town. The flavors are excellent, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the staff is always kind. Unfortunately, the portions of CHICKEN are consistently LACKING. My recent dish had barely a quarter of a chicken breast.
American diners expect adequate PROTEIN! And I believe this is why the restaurant is often not at full capacity whenever I eat there. More chicken / protein could EASILY make this spot a local favorite. (I hope the owner is listening.***)

This was truly the worst Thai food I have ever eaten. I finished it because I was starving. Ordered on DoorDash, was really craving some good Thai hot Pad Kee Mao. There was maybe three small pieces of chicken in it. Maybe one piece of basil. Almost no egg. Lots of bell peppers though, whoa… and it was mild as could be. No spice. No flavor. It was so bad, I had to actually add salt. Just to taste something. I would give zero stars if I could, I was so disappointed and disgusted. I would have been happier eating microwaved pasta in a bag from the dollar store that I have in my hotel room…

So, this was a very cute little place and the service was good. Bathrooms were clean, so was the rest of the place, however the food was not at all to my liking. I got the Amazing Chicken, the sauce was delicious but the chicken tasted very undercooked. My husband and son split the Pad Se Ew and it was absolutely horrible. It had a very “off” taste to it. We both said it reminded us of a wet dog and I can’t explain it. After we left, my stomach got upset and I did end up throwing up. I will say that the crab Rangoon were decent but for $9 you only get 6 and they were also much smaller than your typical crab Rangoon. I didn’t get a photo of them but they were presented well, very cute and wrapped like little purses. We won’t be back though, there’s just no way I could get past how sick I got and the chicken in both of our dishes not being cooked fully.

Ordered sushi but when I got there was told that they couldn’t do sushi. That was fine. Took my Mee Krob and Tom Kai to go. No lettuce with Mee Krob… Just crispy noodles on top of duck sauce with two shrimp and pieces or what are supposed to be chicken I think? Came in here for lunch one day while in the area. The chef is Malaysian and I have been here many many years prior, so I ordered the National dish- Laksa.
It comes with a side salad with Japanese ginger carrot dressing. Very nice touch, and I prefer my laksa to be more flavorful, so I asked for soy sauce and chili sauce.

Went here for lunch today. They are tucked in the shopping plaza just as you turn onto Ridgemoor Drive from East Lake Rd. The Thai Milk Tea was great. Service for lunch was excellent. The food was very tasty, we all had something different. Started with a Spider Roll (yum!) I had the Steak and Broccoli for lunch and everyone was very pleased. The sushi here is very tasty. It's a step up above most places. Small restaurant, cozy seating options. We had several rolls including the 2in1 and some others including a spicy tuna hand roll and shumai appetizer. The shumai was small and not really worth the amount that you pay, but the rolls made up for it. We had a few tempura rolls and they were good too. See photos above. Cozy atmosphere, tastier than most places, but more expensive too.

The name Mike's sushi doesn't scream authentic but you know what they say about assumptions. Came in around 30 mins to close for my online order. Restaurant was small but cozy. A box on the left was filled to the brim with fortune cookies and a variety of sauces below it free for the taking which is nice so we can grab as much as wanted (I only grabbed two for my wife and I cause I didn't wanna be greedy with it lol!). The food was ready only 10 mins after ordering and I'm writing this as we eat! It is genuinely delicious. The rice and chicken is perfectly flavorful and cooked and my wife's beef and broccoli satisfied all cravings! The pot stickers were incredible and the sweet and sour chicken is just what you want when thinking about it, the orange sauce isn't watery and is delicious. They also added a free side of steamed rice and two egg rolls without us even asking! We will DEFINITELY be back soon!

Before I even get to reviewing my food, I just wanted to take a minute and rate the experience about the dining room portion. I felt like I stepped back a year or two into the height of the covid pandemic. And I'm talking not even the height of the pandemic in florida, but rather someplace like San Francisco or New York City. I have to slide my credit card through a small hard plastic window and was given my receipt to sign back and forth. My food was placed in a similar contraption. I'm not making a judgment one way or another, but just pointing it out.
Back to the food. Not much to write. It's basic NYC Chinese food. I got chicken with broccoli with pork fried rice (no veggies). They use brown (as opposed to white sauce). Nothing to write home about. I've had better, but I've had worse.

I didn’t even know this place existed even though I live right down the street. I’m kicking myself for not finding Faceless Samurai earlier.
I went in for a quick lunch and was greeted by the owner Duke (not sure if that’s how you spell his name). There is nothing I appreciate more than warm hospitality and that’s exactly what I got from the second I walked in.
I ordered my favorite sushi, Salmon Skin Rolls. I can tell you that I haven’t had anything that I would even consider decent in any other sushi restaurant in the USA, including Nobu.
This was without hesitation the absolute best salmon skin roll I have had.
The spicy tuna roll I had was also delicious. This isn’t your regular sushi restaurant. It’s incredible. The prices are extremely decent and you’ll love he atmosphere. Don’t let the shopping plaza exterior deceive you. It’s beautiful inside.
I can’t wait to go back for more. That’s how you know it’s a great place, I’m already planning the next visit before I even left!

The people seem very nice and pleasant. The place is small and homey. We liked the pork goyza and the potato curry puffs. The large pot of Thai udon soup was really good and large enough for 4 people to eat. That came also with tempura, really delicious. The sushi rolls were just average and in the dry side especially the volcano. But the worst part was that we had this large party, family of 7 right next to us. This was my second visit and i am beyond disgusted. The server I had was very inattentive. There was a spill that my nephew spilled on the table in which staff simply handed us a few napkins whilst a pool of water sat at our feet our entire meal. We continued to ask the waiter did he put our drink order in several times and were told they wore working on it for twenty minutes.

Without a doubt the WORST Chinese Food I've ever eaten. I ordered #92 Beef with Chinese Vegetables.
The container was more than half rice. There was Very Little Beef but I'm NOT Sure It Was Beef From A Cow. The meat did not taste like any cow beef I've ever eaten. It was very hard to chew and just did not taste right that's why I Question if it was Truly Beef from a Cow or Some Other Animal?
I was afraid to eat it so I gave it to my dog who will eat anything.
I will definitely not be returning to this restaurant but fortunately there's many other Chinese restaurants in the area.

The owners are SO cheap and cut corners wherever they can! The miso soup, teriyaki sauce, ginger salad dressing and soy sauce were ALL watered down and had little to no flavor. Terrible! I have to say that the spicy tuna & Mexican roll were good however the rolls were miniature size (the size of a quarter). I ordered the Super Crunchy roll. And it was a big disappointment. It was supposed to come with Fried Shrimp , mayo, avocado and topped with Salmon. It did not have avocados nor mayo just super dry and not really tasty at all. I’ve had good experience at this place, but this is not my first time I’ve noticed items missing from the roll. The combo i got was honey chicken and shrimp fried rice, the honey chicken was not fully covered in honey sauce and dry luckily i had sauce from the rangoon i was able t use, the shrimp fired rice that i spent an exttra $3 for not even a full container just half of my container and other half chicken had 2 teeny tiny shrimp in it and no flavor what so ever they literally just gave me regular fried rice and threw 2 little shrimp on top and thought they could charge me an extra $3, yeah i was big mad about that, we also got the pepper and steak with the pork fried rice that actually had pork fried intothe rice the steak and peppers were a little soggy but not too bad. with that being said i will not be ordering from this overpriced place again.

This wasn't our first time getting our take out from here. Me and my son have tried many dishes here and have never been disappointed. Food always tastes great. My favorite chef specialty is Happy Family. It's slightly different than one I used to get living in Ohio but still excellent. On this visit I had the large chicken with mix vegetables. As an extra we had the steam dumplings. My son had Panang chicken curry. All we're excellent. This became our go to oriental take out after we found it. A few of us in the office decided on takeout for lunch. We chose Asian Kitchen. I ordered the hibachi chicken and vegetables with white rice, an egg roll and fried wontons. I’ve never eaten at any Chinese restaurant in my life that would serve you par boiled rice. That is what the weird taste is. Non authentic Asian cuisine ! That rice is probably the most disgusting thing I’ve ever tasted. The general tso chicken was soggy and had no flavor. The boneless spare ribs was previously frozen. My concern is first impressions, admittedly the food is great BUT when you walk up to the front door and see Christmas decorations STILL up and its the end of May that tells me that the management does not pay attention to details, big red flag when you are eating raw seafood. My wife and I decided to grab haircuts at FS but close to lunch and busy with a 35-40 minute wait. So found Great Wall in the next block. Called to make sure they had inside dining, they said they did, so headed down.
Well the inside dining is same as most Chinese carry out places. A couple small tables and chairs designed more to wait for pick up orders. No one there so we ordered our food and had a seat. My wife only wanted a bowl of Wonton soup, I chose the Moo Goo Gai Pan.
The Wonton soup came immediately. My wife said it was not as good as she was used to and that the crisps were stale. Shortly my meal came and was ok, I just wished there were veggies.
The best thing about the entire experience was the most adorable little 4 year old girl (owner’s daughter?) that came right over and talked with us for the whole meal! So cute and so many giggles! Wish I could have caught her on a video, but I thought better than that.

Spent a lot of time in Japan. Spent more time trying to find a restaurant that has the passion to serve sushi with the same enthusiasm as I have found overseas. What I can say without a doubt we have found here. The music (big thing for us) is not too loud and accents the experience. The food is amazing. After 3 years of going to Mikes we have found a place that outshines them. We took a chance and we are so glad we did. This is a restaurant you must come to. I promise you will not be disappointed.
