(원문) Looking for somewhere different to go we visited here on a Friday night. I did a bit of research first and it's actually the #2 restaurant in Stourport so it can't be bad? Strange how the #3 restaurant sits above it on TripAdvisor though. The room looks a bit tired and rough around the edges but it's clean and tidy and we were pleased they are following all the Covid prevention guidelines. The room was a bit on the cool side but at least we had a warm welcome from a very polite and friendly waitress, the service was relaxed but attentive. Our experience was great, from poppadoms through to the bill. The chicken Ceylon was superb, I haven't had this dish for a long time and thoroughly enjoyed it. The wife was also highly impressed with her very flavoursome korai. The sides were good but I prefer chips to fries and a more "traditional" pilau rice. Unfortunately they didn't have any Kulfi dessert for the wife. The drinks are reasonably priced, not that I can have much being the driver. We will try the others in Stourport and hope that the food and service is as good as here.

There are not many fish restaurants in the midlands and certainly none that I can name where they source their fish direct from the fishermen in Cornwall. The restaurant opens from Wednesday to Saturday and when they run out they run out. No diving into the freezer or calling the local cash and carry for more stock. Other customers followed which were a table for 3 adults and one for 1 adult and a toddler, so they were not very busy! We still managed to order before the other diners, however strangely our food arrived not until after theirs and was very late because we didn't get them until after 2.00pm! We received no apology for the obvious delay of our meals! 3 out of 5 of the meals were ok, but one meal had a 'swimming pool' plate of too much gravy and another one had too much slimy garlic butter sauce that drowned the food on both plates, yuck! My husband who will usually always leave a tip, didn't bother this time, so it must have been bad! We don't live locally and neither do the family members we met, but I had booked the table as part of a family day out as a halfway meeting point for our time together. I'm sad to say that our experience at 'The Dog at Dunley' was disappointingly poor overall. The only thing that influenced me not to give one star was the waitress was in the main kindly polite and that 3 of the meals were overall okay! Looking at the other reviews on this place they're mainly pretty good, which only added to my disappointment and did leave me wondering why we had such a negative experience! Maybe the staff were having an off-day or because we weren't regular locals, but the other diners served before us were. The staff were exceptional, happy and always there for advice. The food at spice fusion is another level above anything else locally, four of us dining all had starters, mains with rich and naan breads.
