Absolutely fantastic place for authentic Japanese fare. The folks who own the place were all super cool, and the food was top notch. My personal favorite was the onigiri, out of this world with how good it tasted. Prices are great for the amount of food you get, especially with the lunch combinations. I'll definitely be stopping by should I visit the area again, and you should do the same.

My new favorite sushi place in the city , a little hidden view from the street you come down some stairs and just order everything at the counter and sit after ( aka the servers wont take your order at the table but they do deliver the food at your table ) you pay upfront , it’s practical unless you have free room for desert.
We sat and the ambiance is like manga style with a lot a books in Japanese around us , dont get fooled by the decoration because the food is AMAZING trust me I have been to many fancy Japanese restaurants and this one is just as delicious ! We ordered a little bit of everything my personal opinion on the hot sushis ( smoke salmon ) not my cup of tea but my date loved it . And the seaweed salad very tasty, we almost got back again to the restaurant 2 days later because we loved it so much .
So guys if you are looking for a delicious sushi this is the place ! ( i am not even sponsoring this lol ) out of true enjoyment of a lovely night out

The food is fantastic. I had ramen bowl and several rolls. The rolls were excellent but the ramen is one of the best I have ever had. So flavourful and the pork melts in your mouth. Worth coming for ramen alone.
Atmosphere is very cozy and could have a quiet conversation. A must if you are a sushi and ramen lover.

This restaurant is a gem. Our sushi was delicious, the seafood was super fresh, and the pieces were big enough you could actually taste them, unlike in so many other sushi restaurants. The owner and staff were welcoming and attentive. This is a cozy, quirky place, spacious yet intimate, and the soft jazzy music in the background added to the ambience. We will come back, and also try the other great looking japanese dishes on the menu.

Got takeout here and our broth container broke so they offered us a new one. They repackaged our entire meal and gave us a pot of green tea while we waited. The tonkatsu ramen was delicious, highly recommend. And having books in the restaurant is really cute

Shrimp pad see ew wasnt even close to anything i know about all the others I've tried. The "vegetables " were wrong for the dishes and slimy. The sauce was almost an sweet and sour egg cream sauce. I couldn't eat it. My daughter who loves sushi spit out the salmon immediately.. my dad had the chicken udon stir fry, his go to.. a 2. The name doesn't mean what it used to. Wow.

I live in rural Cape Breton 🤩 and sushi is a real treat for me. I’ve tried other places when I do come to Halifax, This sushi restaurant is by far the best I’ve had. Fresh, made on time for takeout, and courteous servers. I’ll be back.

Was my first time ordered their sushi and was super tasty and delicious! Love their rolls and nigiri sushi, especially their seafood tempura! The salad (came with the combo) was big and tasty, their salad dressing was surprisingly good. Had a pretty good experience with the food, it was a little bit pricey but definitely worth it! Their Caesar cocktail had a tempura shrimp on it, which my friend loved. We each had a bento box (their variety is unmatched in Halifax) and shared some appys.
Overall, service was fast, friendly & the food was some of the best sushi I’ve had in the last year. Highly recommend!

Went here for supper. Was greeted and sweaty quickly. We had our order taken quickly and water was offered right away. Server was quick and helpful.
I ordered the spicy tuna roll, avocado roll and spring roll (note:there were two additional pieces to the spring roll from what’s shown in the picture but I couldn’t help but try it right away) . The food came out quick once we had ordered. Presentation was there and looked appetizing. I enjoyed all part of my meal (honestly wish I had gotten another spicy tuna roll because I enjoyed it that much).
I would go here again and highly recommend if you’re looking for your fix of sushi!

Hands down five stars. It has been quite awhile since we came here and I forgot how fantastic the food is. Love the new renovations as well. The new style is much brighter welcoming. Superb tasting, fresh, healthy food prepared to perfection. I have ordered many different dishes here over the years and every one of them is really good. My favourites are the Thai food dishes, but also many of the sushi rolls are exquisite. The soups and noodle bowls are also worth coming for. Today, I had a Vegetable Thai Red Curry noodle bowl and it was much better than I expected. My husband had the Beef Masaman Curry and thought it was one of the best meals he has had in a long time. We would eat here all the time if we could. Great restaurant for the neighborhood.

I could tell, visiting the other most top-choice places with sushi in HRM, that these sushi rolls is one of the most delicious! The set I big enough - 8 pieces. We ordered 3 sets of sushi rolls and it was just great!
If you want to try all other except sushi rolls - go with "all you can eat".

I came to the restaurant with my family recently, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much the food quality has improved since our last visit. Everything tasted fresher and more balanced.

Absolutely wonderful. The sushi was SO good (carried out and dining in) and the staff were so kind. I went here three times while in Halifax for a week. They were beyond accommodating of dietary restrictions and preferences, too - when I dined in and we ordered one miso soup vegan, the staff checked in on a vegetarian-but-not-vegan roll we ordered to make sure we knew there was mayo in it, and would we like it left off? When I ordered one miso soup without green onions, the staff let us know that one of the sushis ordered had green onions, and would we like them omitted?
Really spectacular sushi and so many vegetarian and vegan options that weren't just some combo of cucumber/carrot/avocado.

I used to be a Dharma Sushi regular from when it opened in the late 90s. I know it has changed hands a couple times, so I will review what I know currently.
First off, this is hands-down THE BEST Japanese restaurant in HRM (besides Sushi Shige in Halifax's north end). The food is excellent..it is good quality, very fresh and presented nicely. And very delicious! I recommend the Agedashi Tofu!
The service was excellent and very friendly.
However, the ambiance is unsettling and a bit sad. Please, please clean up the counter area in front of the sushi chef! Please put your boxes and cleaning supplies in a closet or behind a screen somewhere! It is very messy and makes the customer feel that the owners don't care about how their establishment looks. It even made me worry that the food would not be good quality. (Thankfully it was good) or that the kitchen is unsanitary. I want you to do well and improve your business.
Also, it would be really nice to add a decoration ontop of the tables, like little lamps and little vases of fresh flowers (u can buy mini carnations for cheap at Sobeys).

The environment is very nice. I like sitting in booth here. Soft music as background and quite place to find.
The food is more like western style, not tranditional Japanese taste. But it's still satisfy me and my friend. We ordered Queen's Roll, that one is truly tasty and is my favorite among all those dishes as well. The seafood tempura is just so so, it is crispy outside and soft inside. But it makes me feel like I ordered a plate of deep fried fish. The chef must use the general flour instead the traditional tempura powder. Miso soup is fresh made I can tell.
Service is nice and friendly. The waitress is very gentle and politely.
The environment and the service definitely worth 5 stars. The food is general good, not perfect, but still tasty. ;）Both of us are willing to come again.

A very forgettable sushi place with everything being very average. Service was decent and decor was very orange. We ordered the soft-shell crab roll, the Nigiri dinner and some extra rolls that we thought were unique. The food was fresh and the taste was good but nothing special. I recommend this place for some decent Japanese food but they are like all the other sushi places in Halifax.

This is my favorite japanese restaurant in Halifax! The food is really good (just order what looks good to you, I never had a bad dish!) and always friendly staff. I love the traditional room they have when I can get it, and they have a couple of private booths. It is a nice romantic place to have a date if you reserve the private booth!

Honestly my favorite sushi place in town. Food is hands down the best, staff are great, cozy atmosphere. I love it!
Prices aren't crazy, pretty standard for the area, but it's definitely not a place for cheap eats.
They don't have a huge beer selection, but they do have a few good ones, so nothing to complain about. You don't come here to drink anyway.

I'm giving this place a 5, not because it's perfect but so far, this is the best sushi place I've found in Halifax and it's by no means a slouch.
The sushi is fresh and well made. Rolls are nice and mouth sized compared to some of the gigantic rolls you get in some other restaurants where it's nearly impossible to eat a piece in 1 bite. I appreciate it when for the dragon rolls (or anything with a cooked meat in the centre), the tempura itself is still hot while the rice is around room temperature. Just let's you know it's a freshly made sushi.
The rice dishes have so far been ok. Nothing to write home about but good enough.
A bit pricey but can't expect good sushi to come cheap, at least around here.
This will be my standard go to place for sushi for now. Dora-Q was also respectable but I've only tried it once so far. I hear it was started by the same person though, which makes sense.

I'll be prompt and let my couple of photos do the talking. This was probably my best restaurant experience I've ever had in this city. The restaurant was quiet and provided a great atmosphere, service from the staff was absolutely flawless. Our server had suggested a couple of off-menu items they could make for us to try. We loved it. I was in the mood for some cozy Japanese food tonight. I'd ordered agedashi tofu which was brought promptly, fresh and hot. It was served a bit different to what I'm used to, but it definitely wasn't disappointing. Sprinkled with a little nori and bonito, and a little blob of sriracha all while sitting in a little bath of dashi based sauce. Second (not pictured, because it was delicious and I got distracted by how great it was) a 6 piece beef teriyaki maki roll which was lovely. Nicely cooked beef with a sweet and tangy made-in-house teriyaki sauce drizzled over top. Following that was a 4 piece maguro sashimi (initially I'd asked about the white tuna, but seeing as it was towards the end of the day, some of the fish had been sold through) but it was wonderful. The sashimi was fresh, and melted like butter upon eating it. I wanted to get more but knew I had to save room for the main course! A traditional bowl of oyakodon, simple as that. There's not much more I can say about it. It was cooked to perfection and came to the table piping hot topped with a spoonful of corn and some sesame seed. I finished with a small greens salad, with their house-made ginger dressing which is probably the best I've ever had (and pro-tip, they'll sell you the fresh dressing for about $6 a bottle)
It'd been a while since I'd been to Momoya but I can see myself going back a lot sooner. Thanks for your wonderful service and amazing food!

Went here on Sunday craving for some sashimi and don buri. Definetly was not disappointed with the food and the service. The server was fantastic! Very attentive and asked how every part of our meal was. Even though there was a few other people in the restaurant the service was very quick. Even held the door for us on the way out. I live near Toronto and was just visiting Halifax but this was the best service I've gotten anywhere! My friend agreed with me as well.

The food and the service amazed me at this small sushi restaurant. The fish was very fresh and well proportioned with the rice. We tried several of their standard rolls and avoided the commercialised/westernised rolls like California and such and preferred to stick to the classic sushi such as the butterfish sushi, the fatty tuna sushi, and a maki assortment platter. It was so good that we decided to explore further with some special ordered soft shell crab sushi and unagi (eel) sushi to see if they were up to the challenge. Indeed they were and served us up some of the tastiest sushi we have ever had in Halifax. The owner Michael even came out to ask if we were Japanese seeing our order was very traditional and simple. We finished the meal with a decent red bean ice cream which came with a nice mochi filled with ice cream. Delicious food at a very good price. We shall be back again. High praises all around including cleanliness.

Momoya has been serving great sushi since before 90% of the terrible sushi places in Halifax even existed. The service is always prompt if not super talkative, but they do go out of their way to employ a lot of non-native english speakers so you've gotta take that with a grain of salt. I've been there a few times in the evening when the manager has been in and he's given our parties free sushi, offered us free desserts when we've been way too stuffed to eat them, and always shakes my hand when I go to leave. Fantastic. Also, the chicken teriyaki is out of this world.

I booked a reservation several weeks ago for a patio fire table for 2 for 7pm on a Wednesday. We were surprised and disappointed to learn when we arrived that the reservation is for inside only, the patio is actually first come, first served, so we had to wait in a line with others who did not have reservations. We waited over 30 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was lovely but service was slow. Cocktails were delicious and came fairly quickly, our appetizer sushi roll was tasty but came at 8:30pm (we were there for 1.5 hours at this point). Our mains were also delicious, apart from the corn that was overcooked, tough and stuck to our teeth, and the veggies, while seasoned nicely, were hard and one step away from raw, particularly the brocollini. The steak was delicious and perfectly cooked, and the seafood was tasty. By the time we flagged down our waitress for our bill, we had been there for 2.5 hours, with much waiting in between. Thankfully our seat was right along the waterfront so we could people watch as we waited, even though it got chilly once the sun went down - we didn't expect to be there so long and didn't bring jackets.

Went with my girlfriend for lunch the other day and was blown away with the quality and service. I got the chicken katsu don (portion size was very nice and the flavour was great) and the tamago which was also tasty, while my girlfriend got a few different varieties of sushi which she enjoyed. We were very happily surprised when the server bought us some complimentary sushi to the table, which I tried and was very impressed with.

I had a great experience.
They have great selection of food. So many different rolls to choose from. I liked that they had kimchi and dessert cakes on the AYCE menu. Most other places just give you ice cream at the end.
One constructive criticism that I wish they would heed (and also for others to be aware when ordering):
The rolls are humongous. See pic. Each piece is almost the size of a palm of a male adult. With such big pieces, I was unable to try many of their menu. Some come with 6 pieces per order, which is enough in its own to be a meal for some.
Since the point of AYCE is to try variety of menu, I recommend you significantly reduce the size of your rolls. Or at least offer half serving sizes for table with small groups. You offer like 20 different variety of rolls, but I can only eat 3 due to their sizes.
But overall, I like this restaurant, and will return to try ones I couldn't on the last visit.

Only 4 stars but a lot of good things to say about Mizu. First. We came around supper time. The place is packed. But we only waited in line for no more than 15 minutes tops. We went with the all you can eat.
Ordering through the tablet was very convenient. They didn't screw around like other sushi places and try to not bring out an item or two. Service was 5 Stars! Kudos
Now the food. Personally I'm not really an appetizers person. I tried a couple and it's just not my thing. The rolls though! Dont miss the Philadelphia and moon roll. The volcano roll was RIDICULOUS! Deep fried California, was ok.
Price. Compared to other sushi places. This is a couple of bucks more expensive. $26 per person I think. I'd pay that difference for the excellent service. Food comes to your table so fast you'd think you're in the ring with Mike Tyson trying to dodge hits.

I went here with my daughter tonight. I only got one roll as I was killing time before an appointment. I got a dynamite roll which is pretty basic, I wasn't expecting anything mind blowing, but the roll I received, and the messy presentation was terrible. The roll was dry, small and cold. I was actually insulted by how bad it was.
My daughter had a rainbow roll that presentation wise was pretty, but the taste was just ok.

Went for dinner on a Thursday night, plenty of tables available. No background music, quiet atmosphere. The prices of the all-you-can-eat were higher in person than they are on their website, so that was an unfortunate surprise for us.
Ordered a beer to start, only $5 for a Coors Light, not bad! Dinner was $27.99 plus 10% fee for one adult.
The service was good, however we got the wrong food items a few times in a row. (Ie ordered Red Dragon sushi roll but received Tuna sushi roll instead). The food itself tasted good and hit the spot.
The very last sushi roll we ordered tasted definitely off, almost like the avocado in it was bad or chemically, but that was a one off.

Amazing good food! Prices have recently been updated as well, so here is the most up to date menu as of June 2023. I’m from the west coast and the first spot I dined in here on the east coast was Minato sushi! The old school pink classic building just stood out from the rest of the surrounding buildings. It’s well worth it! And it’s only run by husband and wife, super kind and generous vibes from them. Recommend trying it if you are looking for some good Japanese food.

Stopped by for lunch. They weren't open on time but it didn't take too long for service to start. The broth was good although I feel like the toppings were lacking in variety and quantity in comparison to what I would expect based on how much I paid.
In any case, food came quickly, staff were friendly, and restaurant felt quite cozy. It was a good experience.

A great expensive experience I had here. BBQ eel nigiri is awesome, sake is perfect, tuna belly sashimi is highly recommended and the salmon sushi roles are super delicious because of the Korean sushi rice. Will come again soon.

This place is very cozy and nice place to have Japanese food. The owner, chef James and his wife were very kind and friendly. We had chef's special sushi and roll plater and an extra roll on the side plus tempura for two people. It was too much food for us two but we killed it!!!!! Minato is one of the best places in Halifax for delicious sushi with it's own unique taste. There are tons of sushi places in Halifax, but Minato has a great combination of traditional sushi and then with it's own local flare! I've been here many times and have never had an issue with my order, and the price is great too! Can't wait to come back :)

Got in late at the Hampton, this spot is right across the street. On a Wednesday night in an hour we saw almost a dozen Skip the dishes food delivery pickups - this is clearly a condo dweller favourite.
The sushi is a little overpriced - but it’s clear they take meticulous pride in their food. See other reviews, quality is their superpower.
Salad dressing was complex and surprisingly citrus.
Beef sashimi had a spicy bite and deep umami flavour.
I had a sushi/sashimi combo and LOOK at my pictures the cut of Salmon is thick and divine.
Rolls were good and creative - I hear from the Hampton staff people get the party trays for pickup daily.
Actually the actual restaurant is very open and decorated thoughtfully. Brought a little peace into our hectic day with small kids.

This is not even to close to authentic Japanese. The food is very Americanized, the sauce, taste, it's missing the taste of fish, taste of the ingredients.
At the end, they didn't advertise themselves as a Japanese restaurant, and it was me who walked in. I was just "confused" from the menu, the style, and had false expectations.

This roll was good but the ramen was really bad. You can taste that they used instant noodle powder to add to the base soup, and the noodles were not hot. Their katsu din was so so, the meat is not crispy enough. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for traditional japanese food.

This place serves one of the best sushi I have ever eaten in my life. I loved the mango and cheese sushi. It was quite unique in taste. The salmon and avacado sushi was so soft it just melted in my mouth. It felt very fresh. The waitress was very warm and had a pleasant personality. Went to wait for dining in at 11 am but spent 20 minutes at the door since restaurant was not open on time. There were staffs in side but no communication. So, i left with bad feeling.
I had pork bone soup and spicy soup which is good combination on our dining table. Almost meats were frozen but those are kept in good quality and also good taste. The highlight is the variety of dipping sauce that rarely found from another hot pot restaurant like Happy Veal that they will charge you few dollars. But here is all-you-can-eat. Good job!!!

This restaurant is great! We came from the valley to try hotpot and we weren’t disappointed. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful, and kept us from spending more than we had to (we didn’t order enough meat to make getting the premium option worth it). The spicy butter broth is so good if you can handle the heat and the ice jelly has been a favorite of mine and my girlfriend's. Definately can be a little overwhelming when you first eat here since it can be different from what a lot of local food is like but once you know what your doing it's super relaxing. Legit Japanese joint. From the menu to the staff and the way they treat you to the food itself, this place deserves its excellent reputation. Our servers were so pleasant and friendly at all times, the drinks were good (especially for the price) and the food was exceptional. We ordered the agedashi tofu and karaage chicken as appetizers and I think the karaage was in the top 5 I’ve ever had, including in Japan and among the many Japanese restaurants in the SF Bay Area. Seriously, it’s worth going for that alone. We also ordered some botan ebi with the fried heads, a pretty rare treat, and they were delicious. The heads were fried perfectly and were soooo good. For the main event, my companion got a roll with eel in it (meh, not my thing, but he loved it) and I got the large omakase sashimi. The selection of fish was seriously excellent and on par with what you would expect to find at higher end Japanese restaurants. It was an excellent value for the money considering the cuts of fish. The fatty tuna was absolutely amazing. I’m going back to this place ASAP.

I had the Una Don (eel and rice dish) and it was very satisfying. Others at our table had various sushi and sashimi option which all looked good and were (I was told)!
It's a small place so consider planning ahead with reservations (we were there on a weekday evening and it wasn't crowded but can be at times)

Feels like a low end sushi shop when I walk in but the food was amazing. I had omakaze for takeout and it was fresh and good. My kids had udon and salmon terriyaki, both were very good. They use traditional ways to make the broth and your taste the fish in the soup. The only not so good feedback was the tempura roll that came with the omakaze has too much mayo and rice.

We were told our take out order would take 30-35 minutes, the someone corrected them and said 20-25 minutes, so we decided to stop by another store and come right back while we were waiting. Normally I am the last person to complain but tonight this sushi was the worst we’ve had. For context we’ve eaten at many sushi restaurants.
First and foremost my Philadelphia Roll inside the roll was mainly cucumber and a small amount of cream cheese and a small sliver of salmon on top. But aside from all of that the fish looked and smelled bad (see photos) I ended up not eating the roll.
The spicy tuna and salmon rolls that I ordered had no spicy mayo on it.
My wife’s rolls were bland and very small and the sweet potato roll was under cooked (although I will admit the dynamite roll was a free roll through Skip the dishes)
Finally half the rolls were loosely wrapped and fell apart before we had chance to eat them.
I’m sure a busy Saturday night may be to blame but just unfortunate as we were looking forward to a nice meal.

Right from the get go, the server was rude in terms of how she was clearing our table and then when the sushi came, it was on the dry side and had a musty flavour. This was actually my first time having Ramen that didn't come out of a package from the supermarket and it was amazing. The pork was so tender and a little sweet. The broth was incredible. We had the crispy chicken to start and I loved the pickled daikon so much they let me buy a container of it. Our waitress (I am sure I'm not spelling her name right but I think it was Shengshen) was so kind, cheerful and pleasant. I cannot wait to go back.

I’ve been coming to this awesome restaurant for years and it’s one of my favourites in Halifax. I’ve always ordered the Crispy Chicken Ramen (which I Love), but recently I started getting the Spicy Pork Chasu Abura Soba. It’s amazing. The pickle plate goes great with it and I usually get a marble pop too! Love the atmosphere they have now versus their old location with their custom made tables and chairs and a much bigger dining room. I look forward to my next Truly Tasty meal. ❤️

OMG! This is the first place I was soooooo satisfied with ramen! I wish the owner comes to Edmonton to open another restaurant! You will get full of meat ramen for 13$ and the soup was real. Seriouly thick and deep. This is how I enjoy the ramen. First, taste of your ramen soup only and eat each toppings. And then have some meat with soysauce. When you've done almost 2/3, put few drops of hotpepper oil and do it again all process. Finally when you have only few bites, mixed pepper powder with lest of ramen. And just drink all the soup. Cool spot, we got there around 5:30pm and it was empty but filled up pretty soon after we got seated. They have 3 local beer taps, a selection of local beer in cans and bottles, and a decent cocktail menu. Service was great. The dumplings and chicharrones were very tasty, as was the ramen. I found the shoyu to be a bit more salty than I expected it to (because of the soy sauce based broth) but it was still very flavourful. I loved the spicy pork ramen - lots of heat and flavour in that dish.

This is a nice little place to get some great noodle dishes. Their menu is pretty comprehensive, so they will be able to satisfy anyone. The noodle dishes are a good size so you won't leave hungry. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. They have a cute little patio setup in the back of the restaurant, giving it a very intimate feeling compared to a lot of other patios in the city. Definitely worth checking out if you're hungry for some noodles!

Oh definitely high recommendations for their nagasaki champon (seafood ramen). Went to eat on a weekday evening, not too many people. I think especially that day was a bit chilly and raining, having the bowl of seafood broth ramen was such an amazing experience!
It gets busy during lunch and dinner period, so if you want a dine-in, it might best to consider going in earlier than busy period.

Awesome spot, very cozy and cool atmosphere inside, drinks were very exciting and interest. I had the earl gray and scotch cocktail, as well as mushroom gyoza split between our group and then the grilled eel dish with pork belly added. Great food, very attentive and helpful server; when one of our drinks was a bit too strong tasting they added in a bit of simple syrup to even it out. House-made ramen bowls came next: Tonkasu and Yusu Miso. The guys had full bowls and my wife had a half-bowl which hit the spot.
Warm Sake to sip rounded off the meal! Next time I go, I think I'd try the Sake flight, and perhaps a special cocktail which look extremely well-prepared and tasty.

Decided to check this place out when we couldn't get in somewhere else and we were so happy with our decision. The service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. Our server was very helpful we asked for suggestions and help selecting a dish. We shared a salad and the short rib to start and both were amazing. I paired this with the house saké served warm and it was lovely. For mains, we both had the Black Tonkotsu ramen and were both exceptionally happy with our choice.
I look forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

Accessible restaurant with live jazz music the night that we went (Thursday). Really crowded with different groups sitting next to each other at the same table.
The food was mediocre with most of the table ordering ramen and not really enjoying the taste of the blandness of the broth. Food presentation was wonderful, but overall experience was bad with long wait times and one member of our table being served 15 minutes after everyone else due to rice not being available. The unagi don was $23 for a small portion of unagi and was not worth it.
Cocktails were good and it was great to see many mocktail options. The live music, although nice, was too loud and made it necessary to sometimes yell across the table in order to hear each other.
The restaurant is close to bus stops and tourist attractions and there is also a patio facing the street and Grand Parade in the summer.

I just passed by on my way to another restaurant and decided to make a stop here and boy! Im so glad I did. One of the best sushi I have ever had in all of Canada! Was looking for a place for dinner while exploring downtown Halifax, and decided to try this place because the prices looked reasonable and it was highly rated. Small restaurant, looks cute. Portion size is great. Sushi and sashimi was delicious and fresh. I was pleasantly surprised the beef udon came with marinated beef which was really good. Server was very attentive. As someone visiting from Calgary, it was great value considering the portion sizes. I definitely recommend eating here!

The food was good and and it came out fast. They just have couple of tables outside and do mostly take outs. I liked Agedashi tofu and dragon roll but not so much the teriyaki tofu. It had no vegetables and was just white rice and deep fried tofu with sauce.

My experience at Tokyo Roll was disappointing and resulted in food poisoning. I ordered a poke bowl with tuna, salmon, butterfish, avocado, and rice for about $18. The portion was very small. I developed severe stomach pain, gas, and acidity, and shortly after I had diarrhea and even vomited up some of the fish. The service was also very poor. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the staff showed little care for customers. There were no tables inside in the fall weather, and no bathroom. I will not be returning and do not recommend to anyone.

Big portion size. You can get 18 rolls for $15. Rice was proper sushi rice, sweet potato was soft, warm, and delicious. They didn't skimp on the smoked salmon either. Very attentive and kind. Highly recommend to stop for a quick lunch or snack.

I pulled in the driveway. Parker and did a quick review. With more than agreeable reviews. I decided to end my hiatus from Sushi.
From the moment I entered. A very warm welcome. The place is clean and cozy.
The FOOD was, and i don’t use this word lightly. FLAWLESS. I ordered more than I can consume in hopes of saving some for my lunch the following day. I will be making sandwiches. I ate every piece with barely a breath in between !!!

I’ve been coming to Cove Sushi for years and it used to be one of my absolute favorites. Sadly, the quality just isn’t the same since the new ownership took over. The rolls have gotten noticeably smaller and are mostly filled with tempura as a filler rather than fresh fish. The seaweed salad also comes in a very tiny container—definitely not worth the price. It’s disappointing to see such a great spot lose the attention to detail and quality that used to set it apart. Not awful, just not the same.

I just recently found out about this spot and it is actually SO good! I ordered takeout twice. It’s a small cute spot, so not much space for dine in. It was quick service and the lady who served me was very kind and friendly. They are accommodating to dietary needs and use very fresh ingredients! This place is actually very nice! Sushi was fresh. Highly recommend the butter fish sashimi!! Salmon and tuna sashimi were also very good and fresh. Nice green tea 🍵. Pretty decent value for what you get if you come for the lunch special. Ordered the lunch special for two. Service was mediocre, we ordered the beef tataki, but never got it so maybe the server didn’t hear 👂. Anyways this place is a good spot for sushi. Ended up paying about $47 including a tip for two of us. They also accommodate shellfish allergies which is nice.
