(원문) We travelled here to try this place based on google reviews. I was extremely underwhelmed. The food came out far too quickly and mostly tasted reheated. Very bland, under seasoned and 0 salt. The chicken in my Madras was chewy. Came out boiling hot but tasted like it had been zapped in the microwave and was cold in 2 minutes. The onion bhajis were reheated and tasted like they had been delivered and didn’t travel well. The potatoes were cooked to perfection but just tasted like boiled potatoes even though they were cooked with a sauce. The chicken tikka was smothered in tamarind sauce. So even though the chicken was atleast tender, all I could taste is a savoury soy taste. The madras somehow managed to have heat without flavour. Everything was very average. The waiters constantly cleared plates from your table whilst you were still eating. As soon as they see what they perceived as finished, they would come to your table and lean over to collect the bowls. The owner takes the bill and was very friendly offering us a free drink at the end. I thought that was a nice touch.We did decline and he gave us free water to take. Nothing was particularly bad. Upon arriving promptly at the time of our booking, we were told our table was getting ready so to wait in the upstairs bar. The wait was 25 minutes and I suspect was a ploy to order drinks while waiting, because why on earth would it take that long to get the table ready, especially when where we were seated was visibly empty when we arrived. We all ordered mocktails, tasted so basic and priced the same as cocktails which is a steal. Ordered a couple starters, the creamy mushrooms were tasty along with the shrimp. Very small portion size so that was disappointing. Then for the main we ordered the mix sheesh and lamb which came with salad only so we ordered the sunset rice and truffle chips as a side. The ratio of meat to salad was appalling, more salad than meat which tastes like any other Turkish place. Overall, a very disappointing experience, I get that it’s an upscale restaurant but it is clear they are established as a premium without offering any substance because of the types of people who frequent the place. We were also seated in the conservatory, which due to the outside weather being chilly was also cold indoors. The lighting was also very dark so having an equally dark menu was difficult to decipher as it needed the light to be brighter. The food here was very well presented and the seemed fresh in every way but the flavours just were not there for me. The chips were hard and so were the potatoes. We asked for another potion of chips and the second batch also come out undercook we left it all.
