We were happy to find a place that accommodates vegetarians. Loved the eclectic music and cozy inside dining atmosphere. They were having jazz on the patio with an $8 cover on the Friday we were there. The food was fresh and tasty. The servers were friendly but they seem to be short staffed. The Troy restaurant and Grill was very conveniently located to our hotel so we decided to check it out. We had pita bread with dip for our appetizer and that was excellent. Then we had a variety of dishes for our main course. The vegan mixed grill was good but fairly spicy. The roasted beet salad and spinach borek were both outstanding. The moussaka was very good but more heavy on the meat with very little eggplant. Our falafel was perfectly done and came with a nice tzatziki sauce to dip it in.
Although we did not go to dinner until 7:15, the restaurant was still quite busy and service was a bit slow.

We had to wait for a hour for our food to arrive, but a bus tour with 60 diners sat down before us. But, that considered, they did well to get us served when they did. I ordered fish and chips...a Maritime favorite...with a glass of Illuminate Pale Ale. I am an old woman, rarely drink beer, but it was a HOT Nova Scotia day, so I indulged. The beer was delightful, light, with a hint of mango.
Thi chips were grand, light and crisp, perfect for ketchup dipping. The battered fish...interesting...I enjoy light, flaky battered fish. This wasn't it. The batter was okay...nice and crisp...but the fish was heavy and chewy...not my taste at all...but I'm sure that MANY other patrons enjoying it, just like that. After a couple of bites, I left it. My young server was great, and attentive. I did mention my concern to him, and he reduced my fish and chips by 50%, GOOD business practice.
Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY. Great service, and ready to try some new pub food.

I rarely write reviews, even after bad experiences—but this place deserves one.
When my family and I had lunch here two weeks ago, the chicken in the Tostadas was completely burnt, the rice in the salmon bowl was undercooked, and the restaurant was full of flies. We had to keep waving them away while eating.
I spoke to the manager before paying, but instead of addressing the problems, he shrugged them off. His exact words were: “Which restaurant doesn’t have a few flies? I’m the restaurant manager, not the fly manager.”

Come for the wine, but stay for the food! My wife and I have had a blast with their wine and tours, but we’ve never tried their food. We heard about their mouthwatering fried chicken on the Friday menu, so we decided to give it a shot. Once you get past the gorgeous atmosphere and the amazing wine choices, you realize the food is absolutely incredible! I’d say it’s the best fried chicken we’ve ever had. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about their wines and food menu. We didn’t feel rushed, and the food came at a nice pace. The prices were reasonable for the quality of their wines and food.

I have no complaints what-so-ever. Food was delicious!! And the waitress did a fantastic job being the only one for lunch time on a Wednesday. I ordered the blueberry ale, spinach and artichoke dip and the bison burger.
I prefer this location over the Kentville location - I had about 3 experiences with rude staff at the Kentville resto.

Had an amazing time with my two friends tonight!! We went to the Wolfville location and had Lisa as our waitress who was unbelievably phenomenal!! It was our friends birthday and they'd had a bad day, she made sure to take care of us and was super sweet all night. I have never been happier at a restaraunt, none of us have. On top of our wonderful experience with our waitress, the food was above excellent! we had the butter chicken special and devoured it as soon as it hit the table. We got brunch there. I got a traditional brunch, and it was ok... the bread was too dry and hard, the fries was pretty soft, but I do like their sausage! my friends love their Benedict as well. The price was super decent, that was a big plus for me. Our server was pretty patient and friendly too. Our server Jessica was absolutely wonderful! She was so warm and attentive and really went the extra mile to make our meal special. My husband mentioned he couldn’t have vinegar dressing so she thoughtfully brought out a poppy seed dressing instead and made sure his salad had no vinegar. This USED to be one of my favorite places to eat! Loved their steaks. However the last 3 times there, we found out meals disgusting and to the point we actually told our waitress to inform the cook that our foods were terribly over cooked, dried out, tough like hardwood! The salad had more bacon bits then it had spinach! To some it up, after our visit this past week will be our LAST. I came in with my fiance for dinner at 5pm on a Saturday. It is a seat yourself restaraunt, which we found a table and sat. We sat for about 10 minutes before given menus, which understandable if it's busy, things happen. We continue to sit for another 20 minutes, 30 minutes total. No server came over, no "hey we're busy, we will be with you in a minute." No communication from any server or busser despite stopping at the table next to ours twice, so we decide to get up and leave cause who knows how much longer we will have to wait. Another table of two came in after us and was being served their food as we left, yet we hadn't even been given water and no communication with our server. I'm very understanding when restaraunts are busy and don't mind waiting, but waiting 30 minutes for a server to come and give you water or greet you is not normal. Will not be back.

We recently ordered five seafood chowders, and unfortunately, they were all very salty and had an overwhelming amount of pepper. Everyone at the table agreed it wasn’t enjoyable. Our first time visiting Le Caveau restaurant. We were greeted and warmly welcomed by one of the owner’s Beatrice Stutz. It was a truly wonderful experience. Our waitress Leah made sure we had everything we needed and more! She was super sweet and friendly. We had the Pandesal Filipino Sweet Rolls as an appetizer and they were amazing! For my main I had the Pan Roasted Arctic Char with Thai black rice risotto, salmon roe velouté, leek pavé & frisée and my partner had the Brant Lake Wagyu Hanger Steak with Pomme Duchesse, charred cabbage, carrot miso purée, bordelaise sauce followed by The Zeppole for dessert which was Tossed in nutmeg sugar, with almond ice cream & sour cherry compote. It was absolutely delicious! You can tell there is a lot of passion, hard work and time that Chef Jason Lynch and his team at Le Caveau put into their amazing dishes along with the presentation. The staff were super friendly, very welcoming and knowledgeable.
We also had lunch the next day. I highly recommend the Double Duck Fat Fries which is served with the Harissa and lime aioli, Old Growler gouda and green onion. It was superb! For lunch I had the Le Caveau Reuben which was on a House-cured beef brisket with cider mustard, sauerkraut and Gruyere on house-made molasses bun and my partner had the Grilled Coppa Steak with Frites and Madagascar sauce. It was so delish!
The restaurant itself is beautiful and it also has the pergola which is gorgeous for sitting outside.
We also stayed at the Inn at Grand Pre winery. It is stunning. We stayed in the room on lower level called the Courtyard. It’s a gorgeous spacious room and immaculate. The bed was super comfy and the room had lots of windows with great lighting which gave us a nice view of the pergola. We also had access to the sitting room which is a nice place to read, have breakfast or to unwind. Courtney and Payton were so welcoming, sweet, and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. They really made you feel at home and were very helpful. I highly recommend this place to stay in Grand Pre.
The wine is spectacular!!! My favourite is definitely the Marquette (red) and Riesling (white). Also the wine shop is lovely. Manda and Flynn were so knowledgeable and happy to assist me in whatever I needed. Super friendly and very helpful.
We had such a wonderful and relaxing vacation. We definitely are coming back. Our favourite place to stay and favourite restaurant so far!!!

Celebrating my fiances 35th birthday, I reached out proactively to the restaurant to make some special requests, not only did they honor the requests but also suggested other options to make the night special with additional recommendations. On top of that, the food is phenomenal! The Confit Duck Paparelle & Brant Lake Wagyu Steak were both so unbelievably delicious and the Zeppoli is out of this world. We reserved for lunch, we were surprised to not have the option to dine inside. The outside is lovely to look at, but sitting on a bench at a picnic table is not our idea of fine dining. Not everyone is comfortable sitting on a bench with no back, for any length of time.
I ordered the grilled coppa steak, frites, hunter sauce, wilted local greens. The coppa steak was nicely cooked, but there was no hunter sauce on that plate. Also, the frites were barely warm. What does it take to serve a hot meal? I found the entire meal to be uninspiring and underwhelming.
My friend was also unhappy with her meal.
The service was excellent. Our server was friendly and accommodating.
I will not rush back. There are much better dining options in the Valley.

Here is where it went sideways. We ordered extra cheese and extra sour cream. The portions were ridiculously small... Which is fine. The cheese was on the top 30% of the chips. Where to even start 🤔
Well for one, best potato skins I’ve ever had in my life. Every bite had me “OMG’ing”. I feel like I’ve never actually had potato skins before because these were amazing. Also I got the main course I had ordered (hot turkey sandwich) and figured no way could it be as good as the potato skins. It was also amazing. So so good. The portions are also really big. I’m pretty sure I had more than half to take home. The waitress was checking on us frequently and was incredibly nice. And it’s such a cute little spot.
But in all honesty their food there makes me never want to eat anywhere else ever again, because it will only disappoint in comparison. One of the best restaurants and one of the best meals I’ve had in a very very long time.
Also forgot to mention their menu is huge. 4 pages front and back, so so many options. Can not wait till I can go back.

Joe’s Food Emporium really impressed me. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was welcoming, and our server was incredibly attentive and genuinely kind—one of those people who makes you feel right at home without even trying.
But let me be real: the reason you have to come here is for the SCOTCHOS. I don’t even think words can do them justice. They’re flavorful, hearty, and exactly the kind of dish that makes you want to come back again (and again). It’s one of those “where have you been all my life” food moments.

Have been to Joe’s a number of times and respectfully asked if they could put the Colts/Chiefs game on: Bartender refused - told us to pick a different game. He was pretty rude and one of the servers said he was having “big feelings” that day. He was not only a bully to us but to the staff which made us very uncomfortable. Went with a group this evening and I ordered the Spinach & artichoke dip with parm bread sticks it said. A very thin layer of dip mixture with a thicker layer of cheese arrived with what looked like ripped apart nann bread. The bread was very stale and tasteless so when the waitress returned I asked for chips instead as the bread was gross. A few more bites into the dip and I couldn't eat anymore it was extremely tasteless, even the cheese had a terrible flavor to it. When the server returned I expressed how terrible it was and I didn't want anymore.
She returned with a bill of $23.xx, with $5 fries for my daughter she had given a "discount" of $1.70 off the bill..... she said without the owner there and apparently my first complaint didn't count so next time I could ask her to make me something else but the $1.70 discount was all she could do to rectify my terrible food. I paid the bill but most certainly will not be returning, food quality is not at all what I remember it being. Nobody's food was exciting or really good, no one in our group of 7 will be returning.

We had another fabulous stay at the Blomidon. They were able to accommodate a last minute addition to our party. The gazebo was perfect for a picnic for 6. We enjoyed the continental breakfasts and dinner in the dining room. The weather was great for pre dinner drinks on the patio.

my fiancé took me to stay here for my birthday, and it was such an incredible surprise! both the outside and inside of the building are both beautiful, the property and gardens were lovely to walk by, and it was super quiet all the time which made the atmosphere even more perfect for a relaxing time away from the city. the staff were amazing and kind, and everything was just so nice that i couldn't stop walking around the building as much as i could to see everything in it. after a sudden change in our schedule after we had checked out in the morning and ended up having to come back, we were even given a discounted stay in the executive suite which was just lovely as well. i would love to stay here again!

We have traveled all over the world and eaten in many wonderful places Blomidon is our Favourite. If we didn't live so close, we would love to stay there as well. It is a class act in all respects. We have had family and friends stay at the Inn and they all loved it. While the rooms weren't perfect, they had plenty of charm and amenities that a traveler will always look for, and then some. The only thing lacking was a coffee option in the room. Quuen beds only, but very clean and comfortable. Definitely a repeat stay place.

A beautiful heritage hotel in the gorgeous community of Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Prior to check in we got some great recommendations for wineries and restaurants in the area. All were spot on! Upon check in the young man who greeted us was doing it all including carrying our bags, mixing up refreshments and telling us more about the area and delivering all the things to our room to make our visit more comfortable. The building and grounds were beautifully kept and we enjoyed a relaxing evening prior to our flight home. Don’t skip a trip to wine country and a stay at this hotel - it’s well worth it!

Limited hours so the times I have been in the area haven’t always lined up. The pasta is so delicious! The portion size of the tagliatelle is bigger than the ravioli. My husband got the sweet potato quinoa bowl with chicken. I also got pasta noodles and sauce from their fridge to take home. The Chocolate chip cookie is also delicious. I can't believe I have never written a review for the fabulous Noodle Guy. This is one of my go-to places when I'm in and around the Wolfville/Canning area. I love most things on the menu, so what deliciousness to indulge in is always considered carefully. The Noodle Guy stir fry made the cut today. The dish arrived hot and brimming with bright, fresh veggies in a slightly sweet sauce. I opted out of adding a protein. I enjoyed every bite and will be back for me. Our server was amazing, too!

The best for last in my view. It's like two restaurants in one with dual focus on italian and East Indian which was great for our large group. Our friend chose this place as he is moving and we wanted to treat him to some wood fired pizza. His favorite!
It was noon on a Friday, and with the exception of three others on the patio we had the place to ourselves. One other couple arrived while we were there to dine in.
To start I was given a menu that had someone's dirty food finger prints all over it. A cringe moment that I am still gagging over. I pointed this out to our server who did not seem fazed or apologetic about it.
I had an Indian fried chicken sandwich that should have been delicious, but sadly it had a flavour like it was fried in oil past its prime.
The others had pizza that were both lacking in flavor, and had an odd texture to the crusts.
This is an Indian/Italian fusion restaurant. I want to be punched in the mouth with bold flavours folks!!!
The waiter was attentive with keeping our water topped up, but did not ask us if we wanted coffee or dessert afterwards.
The music was too loud for a decent conversation, and more appropriate for a lounge, not this type of restaurant.
Like I said in the intro, I hope this was just a fumble on a bad day.
I don't think I will be back for a second kick at the can, but hope this feedback is received as constructive and we'll intentioned.

The service was really good, super friendly and super quick. Four of us went in with high expectations and were sadly disappointed. We were seated at a high table and "The chairs remind me of chairs at a fast food restaurant- get you in get you out." The restaurant was also really loud (not a big complaint, it's a fault of the layout that can't be overcome). But most importantly the food wasn't what we expected. Every dish fell short. If we had stopped with the aps, which were good, but I wouldn't say delicious, maybe this review would be a 4/5, but the pizzas brought the experience down significantly. Tree hugger, 'Til we meat again and the pepperoni pizza all felt as of something was missing. Maybe it was the cheese quality/type, the crust which felt a little too thick or the sauce which was nothing to write home about. This spot was our favourite meal in Wolfville on a recent trip! My partner and I ordered pizzas which were to-die-for delicious. Wines were expensive, but the food was affordable and cheap for the quality we got. The back patio is a lovely atmosphere, and the service was wonderful! Stopped here last night. We didn't have reservations so we grabber a seat outside. They have a lovely little patio.
The server was fantastic. Friendly and informative. We got the fried chicken sandwich and the gnocchi. Both were excellent.
It was the best fried chicken I have ever had outside of Korean fried chicken. Crispy on the outside. Moist on the inside.
The gnocchi appeared to be home made and again was perfectly flavored.
Highly recommend.

What a little local gem. Tucked in,quietly out of the hustle and bustle of the main drag. Comfortable and clean. When we arrived, we had time to take advantage of the happy hour apps and drinks.. that was lovely! The oysters were ultra fresh, the accompaniments were well done. Juniper Food and Wine is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcome thanks to the friendly and attentive service. The highlight of our evening was without doubt the perfectly cooked scallops – fresh, tender, and full of flavour. It was a limited offer steak and we got the last one. Honestly, I’m mad…because I know I’ll never be able to cook something this good.
Every dish was seasoned perfectly - the mushrooms and gem salad were like a punch in the face of flavour. The beignet potatoes…wow… so so so good, light, crispy. The steak (40$ for a 12oz) was a limited offer and was locally sourced and my goodness, I’ve never had wagyu, but I imagine that’s what it it’s like. Literally just melts in your mouth. Paired with a chimichurri and a dark jus, this hit on every level. Scallops were also delish.

We have been to Juniper many times whether as a couple, with family or with friends. We’ve celebrated birthdays and new year eves here. The food is always top notch, the service friendly and the open-plan kitchen atmosphere cosy. The menu is fresh and refined, using seasonal high quality ingredients. Highly recommend!

Showed up for an early dinner (5pm) at Juniper. I did not have a reservation but they were able to accommodate me in a small nook counter table. I had oysters (delish), the steak (ok), a dessert with 2 glasses of wine. The dessert, a sweetcorn crème brulée was a stand out for me. It was excellently delicious! My bill quickly appeared as I was done with dessert, I am going to assume they needed my table. Overall the food was good, the ambience was ok as I did not feel particular warmth from the overall experience.

I stayed in wolfville for few days and i tried this local restaurant,i have to say that it was Absolutely incredible! The garlic fingers were perfectly crispy on the edges, soft in the center, and loaded with just the right amount of garlic, cheese, and herbs. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. Paired with the dipping sauce, it was nothing short of perfection. These are hands down the best garlic fingers I've ever had – highly recommend!

Please do not waste your money here. They put absolutely nothing on there pizzas, I ordered 2 times as we just moved up here. First pizzas were horrible with no sauce, no cheese. There were spots all over the pizza that had no cheese or toppings..just doe....assuming maybe they just messed up I ordered again a few days later hoping it would be a real pizza this time, also asked for extra cheese and sauce but yet again, a guy in a white Ford truck shows up with a unpleasant attitude and my pizzas have absolutely nothing on them for over 80$. We bought a pizza and one of my friends had to use the bathroom, the owner made a huge deal of how rude and disrespectful she was for using it (its a public washroom) and said he was sick of people making a mess of his washroom and then leaving and not buying something. Not to mention the place was ABSOLUTELY FILTHY. The table I sat at literally had bugs crawling around the table. The service was excellent. My wife had a chai latte (I tried it - it was delicious). I had drip coffee. She had a macaroon. I had a chocolate dipped oatcake. One of the better outcakes I've had.
There is a fair amount of seating inside and a few chairs/tables outside.
Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Stopped by here for a coffee fix and ended up sitting down for a bit. Got a latte it was delicious. They had a number of pastry type items to purchase. They had 2 gluten free products a chocolate chip cookie and a brownie. I got both. They were excellent. Next time I’m travelling through the area I will definitely stop by and try their other locations too. The cafe was a little loud inside from I assume the bean grinders and coffee/espresso machines

Dessert options and coffee options were great, loved the treats however the lady that helped us was incredibly rude which was very disappointing. We asked her about a dessert and she said “maybe you should read the label, does that look like a danish to you?” And then when she was ringing us in she rang in the wrong thing and seemed as though it was the wrong price so when I mentioned that she rudely said, “yeah, I’m aware”. I can totally understand someone having a bad day but to treat people rudely and ruin someone else’s day too just isn’t cool. I saw a review from a few weeks ago mentioning someone rude as well, so I’m guessing it was more than just a bad day and is actually just someone who is perpetually rude. If you aren’t phased by someone being rude to you, however, then the coffee and treats are recommended. We were planning on heading back there for breakfast tomorrow but not anymore, would prefer to start our day with someone pleasant :)

While on vacation, I decided to skip my usual Starbucks run and try this adorable coffee shop instead- and what a wonderful decision that was! After being greeted with a warm welcome, the barista asked me a few simple questions to recommend something for me to try. (I always feel very lost when going to a new coffee shop!) I went with their recommendation, and it was the hands down the best latte I ever had! The adorable heart on top made it extra special. I went every morning until we had to catch our flights home and enjoyed it every time.
Friendly staff, reasonable prices, delicious coffee with a cute, cozy and welcoming atmosphere. What's not to love!?

My wife and I love this hotel so much that we have practically made 3 or 4 trips this past summer. Each time we stayed for 3-4 days and each trip we found Wanda and her housekeeping team to be friendly, welcoming and incredibly professional. The front desk staff is personable, professional and courteous and attentive. The restaurant has amazing views of the orchards and the beautiful landscape of the valley. The restaurant staff are all friendly and professional and efficient. The food served is among the best in the valley regardless of the time of day you stop in. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant just happens to be our favorite. While the season is quickly approaching the time when the weather changes for the worse, we are already thinking of our next trip to Wolfville for the fun and sun and comfort of the Old Orchard Inn.

Easy to navigate, and loved the indoor hallway connecting the drive up rooms.

While the beds were comfortable and the water pressure was good, the lack of amenities compared to the website is disappointing when paying this much. The bathtub doesn’t drain- I was standing in 4 inches of water while taking a quick 5 minute shower. Likely the drains haven’t been snaked in quite a while. There was 1 server on breakfast on Wednesday morning- some people waited 15minutes and then walked away because they were not seated. I ordered toast to go to avoid the wait- I was charged $3.42 for a single piece of dry toast. I was informed the next day that I should have received 2 pieces. The hot tub wasn’t working the first night. At breakfast I order pancakes as described on the menu with “fresh berries”. The pancakes that arrived had no berries in sight, after asking the server what happened to the berries she informed me that the chef had put apples in my pancakes. Would be nice if when you order something it arrives as described without confusion. Spending this much per night without breakfast included and then ordering an available item being changed because the chef felt like it is not acceptable.

We had our wedding this past August at Old Orchard Inn and we don’t have one complaint. Cheryl is the ABSOLUTE Best!! We were married in the sun deck with reception in the ballroom photos onsite. We had a very large wedding party and close to 200 in attendance. Food was great service was great. Rooms and cabin accommodations also fantastic. Honestly not one complaint would recommend Cheryl and the rest of her team and all the staff. Price was reasonable as well.

Went there because this restaurant was highly recommended by many Chinese people on Chinese social media. It didn’t let us down, sweet n sour fish was great. My friend and I ordered the crispy sweet and sour pork (锅包肉) with high expectations especially after browsing through the Google reviews and posts on social media. What we got instead was undercooked, soggy pork with barely any coating, completely inauthentic. To our dismay, we noticed the Chinese customers at other tables were served a much better version of the same dish. Another table of non Chinese diners got the same substandard version like we did. This kind of double standard is unacceptable. While the taste of the dishes was passable, I would personally avoid this place at all cost.

I don't know how many times I've walked by over the years. I finally ate here with a friend in the fall of 2022. We both loved the food. Recently, I dined there solo and once again was so happy with the experience.
I had ginger-fried beef and vegetable-fried rice. Both dishes were excellent. I even asked the owner to add some extra ginger, and he was happy to oblige.
This is definitely my favourite Chinese restaurant in the Annapolis Valley, and maybe in all of Nova Scotia.
