4명이서 여러개 주문함. 메뉴는 해산물들로만 메뉴가 구성되있고 스테이크,파스타는 추가 주문으로만 추가가능. 서비스는 굉장히 친절합니다. 다만 메인 요리들은 다소 생선 스테이크같은 위주라 식상함. 드레스코드가 한여름이래도 엄격한 이유가 에어컨을 엄청 틀어서 추움.. 찜통 더위라고해도 겉옷까지 입고가는게 좋음.

미슐랭3스타는 정말 다르구나를 느끼고 온 곳입니다. 뉴욕 여행에서 제일 기대했던 식당인데 너무너무 만족하고 왔습니다. 코스 시작부터 끝까지, 디저트까지 모두 맛있었어요. 해산물 평소에도 좋아하는데, 이렇게 예쁘고 맛있을 수 있는지 이번에 알았네요. 점심 코스로 먹었는데 다음에는 8코스 짜리로 먹어보고 싶어요. 양도 적지 않고 배부르게 먹었습니다. 운 좋게 저희 담당 서버분인 Heather님이 한국 분이셨고 덕분에 메뉴 설명과 추천을 한국 말로 들을 수 있어서 좋었습니다! 우리는 뉴욕을 방문한 아시안 커플입니다. 음식은 매우 좋았으나, 최근 여러 레스토랑에서 불거지는 문제인 인종차별 좌석배치가 해당 식당에도 존재한다는 생각을 피할 수가 없습니다. 이 날 식사예약을 한 달전에 하고 입장 순서는 2번째로 입장하였으나, 웨이터들이 왔다가는 제일 구석에 배치하더군요. 이상하다고 느꼈지만 시간이 지날수록 우리 둘은 더 이상하다고 느꼈습니다. 방문순서와 무관하게 제일 벽 구석에는 모두 아시안만 존재하고 소위 메인 자리라고 느낄 수 있는 좌석들은 백인 위주로 채워짐을 느꼈습니다. 과연 아니라고 할 수 있을까요? 부디 착각이였길 바라며, 미슐랭 3스타 식당의 품격을 지키기 바랍니다.

전체적으로 해산물이 신선합니다. 재료 자체의 맛을 내려고 하는 접근이 좋았습니다. Crab cake, Robster salad, 굴, 관자요리 등을 먹었고 모두 좋았습니다. 양이 많은 느낌은 아니지만 저에겐 부족하지 않았네요. 직원분들도 친절합니다.

(원문) We went to have a nice enjoyable dinner at The Seafire grill . The name itself was already very inviting especially if you like a seafood. It was a Holliday evening and we expected to have a great time with the delicious food. We met a relaxing atmosphere, classic interior with white tablecloth, candles and nice tableware, welcoming space with the dimmed lights. The menu printing was hard to read but staff was very welcoming and gave us some guidelines. I highly appreciate that the music was not loud and we could have a pleasant conversation. The basket of warm bread with butter, olive oil and spread was served as complement from the beginning. The order included two appetisers: Jumbo Lamp crab cake and Spanish octopus. Spanish octopus was the star dish, very well seasoned and balanced with vegetables and the most tender and juicy meat. We enjoyed it very much. I cannot say l like a crab cake. It was very dense, hard with few sauces which were plain and didn’t complement the dish in any way. The pillow of sliced celery root under cake was dry and tough to chew. Not really enjoyable combination. For a main course we chose a classic: a piece of fish and a piece of beef, and it was a disappointment. The piece of beef that we got cannot be served as bone in ribeye for $90. It felt as several times defrosted meat with the texture of paper. Just look at the picture. The side you should order separately. And we did. Fries. No words. The other entree was fish of the day: fresh catches: filet of Striped bass served on sauced Brussels sprouts. Taste of cabbage was extensive sour, overwhelming with balsamic vinegar and the fish was dry, unflavoured and the it had a greyish color. I know my review sounds harsh. Maybe it was that restaurant’s bad day, not great products delivery, anything? But over $300 check for two with such quality is unacceptable. The restaurant was almost empty with just few tables occupied. I give 3 stars for just a such a nice place, great location, carrying personal and future positive perspectives.

백종원님의 프로그램에 소개되서 가봤습니다. 혹시 몰라서 opentable로 미리 평일 오후 12시쯤 예약했는데, 굳이 할 필요는 없었습니다. 자리 엄청 많았음. 들어가면 왼쪽이 테이블이고 오른쪽이 bar 였는데, 간단히 드실거라면 오른쪽인 bar 로 가시는걸 추천한다고 합니다. 갔더니 서버분께서 오이스터 과자랑 물을 주셨어요. 주문은 맨하탄 글램차우더, 블루포인트 2ps를 포함한 총 8피스의 굴 (나머지 6ps는 쉐프 추천), 그리고 칵테일을 주문했습니다. 굴은 신기한게 진짜 한국 굴이랑 좀 다르게 비리지가 않았어요. 물론 바다맛이 강한 메뉴가 있긴하지만, 확실히 다르긴 달랐습니다. 글램차우더는 그냥 토마토 스프같은 느낌이었어요. 그리고 칵테일은 굴이랑 아주 잘 어울려서 같이 주문하는거 추천드립니다. 계산은 해달라고하면 카드나 현금 드리면 서버분께서 계산하시고 와주십니다. 팁은 %를 선택할 수 있는데, 16,18,20% 이렇게였던걸로 기억합니다. 뉴욕에 왔다면 한 번 쯤 먹어볼만한 메뉴라고 생각합니다 !

방송에도 많이 나오고 굴요리라고 해서 찾아간 곳입니다. 센트럴역 내부에 있어서 접근성은 좋았습니다. 예약을 안하고 갔더니 어떻게 얘약을 안하고 올수 있냐고 농담하시면서 자리 마련햐주셨습니다. 굴 플레이트하고 오징어 샐러드, 랍스터빵을 주문햐서 먹었는데요. 굴이 원래 이렇게 신선하지 않은 느낌인게 정상인가요? 참 애매했던… 오징어 샐러드에 같이 나온 아보가토는 이렇게 변해있는게 맞는건지… 굳이 추천해드리고 싶지 않은…

각 산지별 생굴을 고를 수 있는데, 사실 맛의 차이를 명확하게 인지하기는 어렵습니다. 그래도 신선하고 맛이 좋았습니다. Arctic char라는 숭어와 연어 사촌격 물고기의 경우 잘 구워져서 맛있습니다. 디저트의 경우 치즈케이크와 라임파이가 맛있었지만, 홈메이드 같아 보일지는 약간 의문이긴 했습니다.
