Gorgeous Bali-style brekkie/brunch/lunch spot in the heart of Lagos old town, with a clean, modern interior, high ceilings, and some relaxed outdoor seating on the street. It’s super popular in the summer months, so expect a queue—sometimes up to 20 minutes or more. But it’s worth the wait. The breakfast and lunch menu is fresh, vibrant, and consistently good. I love the avocado toast with poached eggs for breakfast, and the Buddha bowl is a favourite at lunchtime. Their pastries are also amazing—especially the almond croissants and cinnamon buns. If you’re short on time, pop next door to their takeaway coffee shop, which serves the same great pastries and coffee with almost no wait. Staff are usually very friendly, though things can feel a bit rushed during peak tourist season (understandably so when it’s packed). Personally, I love visiting in the winter—it’s quieter, more local, and the service feels especially warm and attentive. One of the best spots in Lagos for brunch or a quality coffee break.

Awesome café with a great vibe and delicious breakfast. Exactly my kind of place – from the design and service to the artisanal pastries. Probably the best cinnamon bun I’ve ever had. Totally worth the trip from Lisbon. If I came to Lagos for a week, this would be the place I’d go to every day. 10/10

Very cool/ hipster place in Lagos for brunch/ coffee. We tried different dishes and they were all good. We enjoyed the fact that both Portuguese and international people worked here, and were all polite and with good vibes. Would visit again!

Great overnight oat and yoghurt bowls. Very hearty and healthy. Combine it with a latte and you’re good until mid-day or the beach. This place has a line to sit down so we went to the takeaway counter next door and took our breakfast to the Old Town square and sat down to enjoy by the green house

This was our go to breakfast for the 3 days we stayed in Lagos. Our first experience was in the restaurant section. Our server was a super nice (wish I grabbed his name but he had curly blonde hair). We ordered the yogurt bowl, a full order of pancakes and two lids portions of pancakes (one with bacon and one with the strawberries. Food was delicious! The next two days we visited the to go section and both times the coffee was perfect and the pastries were great! This place is a must at least once on your visit to Lagos!

Delicious food for all. Vegan options available. A little pricier but most places in Lagos are. Great cappuccino. The juices were so fresh and yummy. Will say the music was bit choice, was 8 am and they were blasting green day lol maybe a little slower chill Portuguese or lo fi would have felt nicer but hey that’s just preference. Good service and vibes. For sure recommend.

Great place for breakfast/brunch with really good coffee. Every time I've been there's been a queue outside for a table but it usually doesn't take too long. Nice and cool inside and the staff are friendly. I love the breakfast burrito and bap. Vegetarian friendly. They also have a second location a couple of doors down which just do takeaway coffees and pastries which is very handy if you're on the go or don't want to wait in the queue but still want a good coffee

A place in the middle of Lagos. It is somewhat remote from the main street where all the tourist stores are. So you have to pay attention. I will again cover my standard points. Staff: Very friendly and good English. Food: We had coffee and something sweet here. The flat white could have been a little stronger from me. The lemon cake was delicious very fluffy. The interior is somewhat minimalist but nice pictures on the wall. We mostly sat outside on the small patio. Music: This was not present on the terrace. You did hear the fanatical club music from a place next door unfortunately. If you are in the area definitely a good one to grab a cup of coffee.

Charming, friendly and high quality drinks. Esspresso, cold brew and bubble tea were all delicious. Tea, various cold drinks and cakes and sweets also offered.

I’ve came here a while ago and was a lovely surprise, great coffee and food! Back today and they changed a bit, but still, amazing coffee and soooo tasty food, perfect to have in (doesn’t take long) or more perfect to take to the beach! Wraps / Toastes / Quiches! Just go for it!

Five star coffee given its location: This is a 4 star in any hipster area of a big city, but the best relative to others within a one hour drive. Wonderfully located near the sheltered parking for Lagos Old Town we made a beeline here after arriving, and were pleasantly surprised. They use the mahlkonig grinder for anyone who cares.

A lovely little café and coffee roaster. The blends are great. Plenty of coffee brewing tools to purchase as well: Aeropress, V60 etc. Well worth a stop if you're big into coffee!

We were looking for a brunch and stumbled upon this beatiful spot. Plenty of space, lovely interior with chilled music. Food was top notch. We had avocado sourdough with extra tasty mushrooms and egg, burrito and proper fresh fruit and vegetables juices as a bonus. Clean green with celery kiwi and apple was delicious. I'll be back.

My partner and I visited Abigail’s several times on our trip to Lagos. We ate breakfast burritos on our first visit. On our second visit I had pancakes and he had a burrito bowl. All the food was delicious and portion sizes were incredible. We also got takeaway coffee on a third occasion which - although delicious - were on the smaller size. Nonetheless, would highly recommend!

Lookong for an English breakfast? The Oasis is a decent restaurant located in the marina of Lagos. The breakfast had some tasty bacon and a nice crispy hashbrown and the eggs were properly cooked. The fruit and vegetables offered were fresh. Nice view of the marina and staff were accommodating. We also ordered two Americanos, although the coffee seemed slightly burnt (may have been the machine).

Opens early - perfect if you are taking an early boat tour. Service was fast and meals a good value. We had breakfast but the dinner menu looked good - Napoli food….Nice marina views also…

We came in today, after a boat trip for a little lunch. Burgers and Sangria. Burgers were great. Apologies for the late burger photo as it had already been cut. It showed up looking nice. The sangria was nicely made with the right amount of alcohol. Waiter was friendly and helpful. Was nice to sit in the shade near the water. Nice touches also included ketchup, mayo, salt and pepper. Will come again if we are still here. Maybe tomorrow. :)

Overpriced and rude staff. Food was fine. The prices shown online do not match the prices at the restaurant. When asked staff about it, they became defensive and dismissive. They then tried to give me far less change than I was owed. Ended up paying €30 for breakfast for two.

I went there at 10am to have a coffee, we were 3 people and we were said we couldn't sit if the other 2 didn't order. The other people o was with do not drink coffee and i literally just wanted to have a coffee and go. He said the place is very busy and that was the reason that we couldn't stay, we looked around and there were 4 people there. Bad service with a rude employee. I bet they only look at profit disregarding anyone that doesn't want to have a full meal. This is the type of greed that has a Portuguese in my own country I'm not used to. Everyone can go to a regular coffee and just have one. Shameful to the owner.

Being hungry, I was attracted by the sign announcing the specialties. The restaurant was well placed in the marina. I tried to order the butter chicken that was on the sign, but they told me that it wasn’t available at this time nor the pastas. Only sandwiches were available. All other things would be available at lunch at 12… it was 11:40 and « nothing could be done ». Maybe don’t advertise things before 12 then and/or use common sens for the 20 minutes 🙄 Had to stay since my wife had already ordered and that we had ordered our drinks. Ohhh yeah and the waiter brought the wrong drink, there was no sauce in my wife’s salad and they didn’t think about offering condiments.

Had a great time at The Oasis! They had a singer performing multiple classics so we sat down for a quick pint. We ended up grabbing some food and another few drinks because the crowd was so enjoyable.

We had such an amazing time at Aqui Há Gato! Service was phenomenal, the lady was so nice to us. The food was beyond our expectations. I got to taste the garlic shrimps served with salad and fries. We loved everything!

I’ve come multiple times during my stay in Lagos, for breakfast and dinner. This is by far the best value for money experience in Lagos. Breakfast - their pastel de nata is good, so is their coffee. Toasties are also a great shout. Do expect to pay with cash though as it’s below €5 altogether Dinner - this is a place with the full package. Firstly, their bifanas definitely hit the spot, but their garlic prawns are an absolute standout! Their garlicky sauce for the prawns is incredible, you can mop it up with anything (salad, fries, bread) On top of that, the staff are super friendly and happy to recommend anything. The atmosphere’s also really great especially when the football’s on, good mix of locals and others (particularly when a Portuguese or English side is playing). You do get the impression that this is a neighborhood hangout spot, with plenty of regulars both Portuguese and English speaking. In conclusions this place is a solid 5 all round Average spend: -breakfast: below €5 -dinner: €10-15 including a beer

Authentic Portuguese café with reasonable prices. We absolutely enjoyed both service and food on their terrace.

We love the bifana here! We had the one with cheese and egg in it and it was the best we had in Lagos. Portion was big and the price was very reasonable.

The place is in a quiet neighbourhood, so you can feel as any of the locals. I had very nice meals here - portuguese "bifana" sandwich and also "arroz do pato" (duck rice). Very generous portions of very tasty and well seasoned food. And the bonus - extremely nice and welcoming service by Iliana. She made my dish even better with her attitude and smiling face. Thank you for that! In addition, they provide meals also for take away if you need so. Recommend!

Forget about the restaurants, this Cafe was our favourite in the south of portugal. The service was outstanding, the fish and chips was delicious. The fish was super crispy and the fish was seasoned to perfection including their version of tarte sauce. And we ordered the prawns, you could taste the garlic which were amazing. I dont have photos because it smelled delicious and we were to eager to get into it. Great place and its always busy, every time we walked past the Cafe tables were full, which could only mean that the food was exceptional. Our only regret was we went on our last night. Lastly, do not miss out on their Apple crumble, best Apple crumble I have ever had.

Great vegan breakfast! The vegan salmon bagel with cream cheese was extremely delicious and my personal favorite. We also had a pancake, coffee, and smoothies. Everything was so tasty!

Had stopped by in here for some brunch without realising all the food on the menu was vegan which was a pleasant surprise! I ordered their take on a “salmon” bagel and tried out the pancakes. The pancakes were on the slightly drier side but overall good food and lovely service from the staff.

What a nice little find in the heart of the old town. The staff were lovely, and just the nice people you'd expect to find in a mindful place like this. Everything is vegan with some gluten free options, including quiche, falafel salad, all toasts can be made with gluten free bread (toasted separately), and a selection of cakes, including cheesecake and brownies. This was my second visit this week so I can totally recommend the Buddha bowl with felafels and the mini cheesecake. I also tried the toast lox and the gf bread was really nice. I would have preferred thinner slices and more che*se, as the pickled salm*n overpowered the delicate flavour of the che*se. I also had a decaf latte with soy. My only gripe is the pastries are not separated, so cross contamination in theory could occur (warning for coeliacs). Lastly, they could do with more sitting space. Sitting outside I could see many people tempted to go in but leaving, I assume due to the lack of free tables. I would totally be a regular if I lived here! Goldig Café is an absolute gem! Everything we tried was incredibly tasty and beautifully presented – you can really tell it’s made with love and care. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the attention to detail makes the whole experience special. A highlight for me was the cold brew coffee – it was incredibly tasty. Can’t wait to come back!

The food was delicious! I had a bagel with vegan smoked salmon, spinach, cucumber and avocado; it tasted very fresh and the fillings were generous. My pastel de nata was very tasty too, particularly due to its subtle lemon flavour. I’d highly recommend.

We went there 3 times, because the coffee was so hood, the staff cheerful; crepes and veggie meals. The best sangria in town. Being the defo breaks a day. Loved it very much.

Waste of time and money. There’s much better food in Lago’s please do not come here if you can avoid it. Our food took 45 minutes to come and we ordered simple dishes. A crepe took 50 minutes to come out. We ordered a burger that came out wrong- when we asked them to take it back they very obviously just took off the ingredients we didn’t want and threw on a piece of cold cheese. Didn’t even melt it. On top of that all the dishes we ordered with fries were so overcooked they were basically potato chips at that point. Also we ordered wings and they also came out overcooked.

I was reluctant to try this place for breakfast as the prices were higher than other restaurants in this area. I really wanted an English breakfast and their price was quite a bit higher, but when you break it down, it was a pretty good deal. The normal English breakfast only comes with one egg and one sausage, but this one comes with two eggs and two sausages along with yogurt, orange juice, and coffee. My only complaint is that the kitchen is slow. It took over 30 minutes to get our food and we were the only ones there. Food tasted great though!

crazy bad. Ordered a margarita and got bizarre tasting tiny martini? To be honest nobody was there during popular cocktail hour and we just needed a bathroom. Avoid!!! Does this look like a margarita??? Omg. We would like to add an edit that we were happy to pay for a nice margarita and use the restroom but after waiting an ungodly amount of time for our drinks to arrive we decided to leave and returned only to be served the drink pictured which was lacking both lime and tequila. Please read the other one star reviews.

Great place to be. Amazing hospitality. Fun, welcoming and will definitely be returning. We had 5 children with us and we felt so welcomed. Drinks are amazing, fresh smoothies and the most delicious cocktails!

The service here was great, the people were lovely and the food arrived very quickly. The food was very filling and tasted amazing, the atmosphere is nice and quiet too.

I got a make your own bagel, lovely seeded bagel with ham, cream cheese, Mozzarella and boiled egg, was very nice, the only thing I would critique would be to have maybe another meat option as the only meat options are ham or tuna. My girlfriend is celiac and she got some gluten free chocolate pancakes which looked lovely, we also went again and they do gluten free bagels, looks home backed with is nice, small place but is cute inside.

Excellent service and wonderful Vegan food right here in Lagos! Such a pleasant surprise, especially on a Sunday morning when seemingly everything elae was closed. (Tough enough eating vegan in various places and so much is closed on Sundays!) The chocolate + banana vegan pancakes are a must!! They also have super yummy vegan pastel de natas-- (luckily) got some fresh out of the oven this morning! Wish we were staying an extra day just so we could go there again for breakfast.

We were honestly disappointed. We stopped by O Ninho because they had gluten-free cake — our little one has allergies, so we were happy to find that option. The café itself looks nice inside, kind of cozy and family-friendly with some toys for kids, which we appreciated. The staff was polite, but everything took ages. There were three people behind the counter and still it took far too long just to get two pieces of cake to go. We got a brownie and an apple cake. Both were dry, tasted old, and the brownie even had a burnt flavor. Our kid said he could make it better himself — and he probably could. We know gluten-free and vegan baking isn’t always easy, but there are so many great recipes out there now. This was just poor quality. And lets not talk about the 10EUR we paid for 2 small pieces of cake. We also ordered an Americano. It cost €2.40, which is way too much for Portugal, especially when it tastes that weak and watery. And it was off season. Friendly service, nice idea, but overpriced, slow, and honestly not good food or coffee.

Perfect for a couple with kids. The food was fantastic, I am not a huge fan of yogurt bowls but this one of the best combinations I’ve tasted. I also had the pancakes which were delicious. Service was excellent and there was plenty to keep the 2 and 5 year old occupied. This is a fantastic concept, great place for young families.

Nice place to have a simple lunch with fresh ingredients. The service is friendly. It is well situated close to the Central bus station and to the marina of Lagos.

Bought a bus ticket online night before without realising it needed to be printed. With a bus at 9am everything was closed except for this shop to print super handy. However a customer was giving me uncomfortable looks and calling me rude things in Portuguese and the guy working had a laugh as well, didn't acknowledge me for ages and then acted like I was annoying him when I asked for help. Disappointed as I saw the reviews and was expecting friendly helpful service. As a young female solo traveller I wouldn't come again. 2 stars just for pure convenience of printing.

A cool spot with a chill vibe where you can get a quick coffee. Walked by a few times and got a chance to go back to get a coffee one morning. The staff were friendly, the coffee was good and the place is dog friendly bc another customer had a couple of dogs with her inside. The cafe also had a nice patio outside.

Food: Presentation was nice but the taste was just okay. The omelette was bland, the cinnamon chai latte was overly spiced, and my sister’s smoothie was warm and unappealing. Wouldn’t go back for the food. Service: Service was fine — polite but unremarkable. Atmosphere: The rooftop felt cramped with too many tables and not much of a view. Overall: Average all around. I wouldn’t recommend this spot to a friend.

Great vibes with even better cocktails! My husband and I came here for a quick drink after an early dinner and ended up staying for hours! Great service with friendly staff! Our second round of drinks took a bit longer to come out as they were busy but the staff politely set clear expectations when we ordered that there would be a wait. We were more then happy to wait for the delicious drinks. Would definitely recommend!

We came here for dessert and coffee after dinner, based on how nice the place looked on Google Maps. In reality, the interior is a bit worn down – the furniture could use an update. There wasn’t much dessert choice, just one coconut cake, which was tasty and seemed freshly made. Coffee was okay, though the milk was quite cold. The highlight was the friendly service from the sweet young lady at the counter.

I LOVE this adorable little place!! Everyone is very friendly and warm. Staff and customers all make us feel at home here. Had almost all the seafood on the menu and it all came within 5-10 minutes. Expected it to be crap but it was amazing quality and taste. Very good customer service with good drink refill attentiveness. Quiet place so good place to go to in order to avoid busy noise.

We paid for a coffee and then my partner asked to use the bathroom ( in a nice way, just so the owner doesn’t try to counter the review with us not being nice to them). She used it while another person from our three person group just went to wash their hands. What followed is that we started getting berated by a server lady in her 50’s about a coffee not being enough for the privilege of using the bathroom( amazing privilege in a place that looks like a cheap pub ), another server also started tagging along with her and was saying that we are taking the heat due to the other tourists also wanting to use the bathroom due to its close location to the bus station?? In all my years in Lagos never had this level of service. Take notice that we aren’t the only people with similar complaints about service! Should’ve asked for the complaint book but was honestly astonished and just left…

Went here to try a bifana sandwich and was so disappointed. Other than a nice soft roll, they had so little pork on the bread. I am sure there are much better places to get one.

I am a pregnant woman, I was on my way to leave the Lagos. I was passing near to this restaurant, I felt unwell, I asked politely to the manager, at his late 30s or 40s if I could use their toilet as I was unwell, he refused he said for customer only. Then I even asked if I could give something as we usually go in any places such as London, Paris or Newyork, he refused and was totally rude to me. Therefore, I asked to pay something he also refused. Please do not go there. Even one customers felt sorry for me. Customers outside told me it was an unacceptable from him.This is the most disgusting experience I have in Lagos. Totally insane. Fortunately, I found another restaurant where the waiter accepted, he even refused for me to pay. Thanks there is still good people in this earth. Please do not go there, they are soooo rude.

Professional and friendly staff. Very clean in a good location with a pleasing outlook and an appealing array of cakes, pastries and all-inclusive snack and lunch menus. Regulars are mainly local professionals and retirees and there is easily accessible wifi.

This is a little gem, the food is lovely, big portions, and the staff are really warm and friendly. We both really enjoyed our food and juices, and the prices were excellent. It was under €10 for a toastie, fries and milkshake. Nice atmosphere, will visit again when next in Lagos.

Fantastique. It is hard to find a backery in lagos. This place is gorgeous. It is small, has no wifi or stuff like this. And it doesn't need it. It has a huge selection of cakes, cookies and pasty. Hottest Cappuccino i ever got. very good. And it has very good prices. I will come here again.

The breakfast options are varied. I took a sandwich with bacon, egg and veggie’s (salad). It was delicious. The staff is friendly and the serving is fast. They have good prices and they open early for early birds like me. With the sandwich I also took coffee, a fresh squeezed orange juice and a desert and I paid around 10€ for all.

It's a nice Café, clean, very friendly service and they make the best burgers around! The meat is tasty, the other dishes are also very good. I go here since years. 100% recommendation 👌

This is the perfect place to have a quick tasty lunch or snack. Excellent sandwiches and home made desserts. Quick, friendly service, very reasonable prices, and clean restrooms.

The pasteis de nata are crazy expensive (more than Lisbon), so i didn't dare to try them. I did however try a cappucino, and being an amateur at coffee, I found it very okay. The cafe is spacious and clean with good service. This cafe was only a place for us to wait for our bus, so I don't recommend due to the pricing for drinks and pastries. Some items on the menu have a good price but many are a couple of euros more expensive than other places.

Nice flaky filled croissants. We had an egg cream (custard) and an almond paste one. We also had a mixed toast (ham, cheese and tomato) and that was very crispy. The coffee with milk was also very good - not too strong.

This is a nice and easy little restaurant— great for a simple breakfast. Nothing too fancy- gets the job done. Many pastries. The croissant was delicious and filling. Each time we have visited, it has been busy. The service is great and everyone is very kind and attentive. Highly recommended. If you sit inside, it can get pretty loud because of the person washing dishes. Don’t know if it’s still like that now but that’s how it was when we were there.

Very nice place with delicious croissants. They open early so it is a great option for breakfast. The staff is efficient and friendly. There are several tables outside so one can chill in the shade while enjoying the food.

Free wifi, good coffee, good service, outdoor dining, good prices, did not eat here so can’t comment, cold beer ( sagres) easy walk from CBD, local prices.

Highly recommended! We kept coming here for breakfast. Fluffy and perfectly toasted bread, fresh pastry (pastéis de nata ❤️), and the staff is very kind. Lots of locals visit this place too, that's always a good sign!

Hannah does the absolute best vegan chilli in the Algarve. All of her dishes are homemade with the freshest of ingredients and she caters for all dietary requirements. Her chocolate brownie is also to die for. Super friendly staff, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hannah’s Place!

We started chatting to the charming Hannah as we parked round the corner from her lovely cafe. It was our first stop after leaving Faro Airport and what a find. We sat in the delightful garden relaxing and enjoying the February sun and her conversation, before enjoying two delicious galãos. Didn't try the food - too soon after breakfast on the plane - but if it's as nice as Hannah it'll be excellent. Worth taking a detour for

Just went in for a quick bit and was pleasantly surprised when my Croissant arrived with Grated Cheddar on it, literally overflowing! Great menu as well and really pleasant service. Looks like it might be busy around lunch so maybe better to book?

We rented a blow up kayak and it was great!! Nuno was so helpful and told us everything we needed to know to have the perfect afternoon! Would recommend especially for a more relaxed and private experience compared to the larger kayak tours.

We used their service to visit the bengali caves by speedboat. Everything was explained very nicely and made understandable. The trip itself was really nice and the "days of adventure" provider was by far the best out of all the other ones we could see.

love this spot so so much! we came here every morning for coffee before the beach and every day for pina coladas after the beach! the staff was so kind! this became our favorite place to hang out in lagos :)
