We came here to eat with our extended family on a Thursday. The place was quite busy and unfortunately, we ended up having to wait for our food for a very long time (about an hour). The staff were friendly and attentive, but the service wasn’t good. After the long wait, some of our side dishes were missing when we finally got served. Also our calamari starter didn’t arrive and we were told we already had it. Well, we didn’t have it, didn’t eat anything for the first hour. By the time we got served, the restaurant was almost empty, with just us in it and a couple of other guests. Anyway, the waiter apologised and served us everything in the end. He was very patient and nice and so were we. Fortunately, the food was good, everyone finished their meal and enjoyed it. The calamari was tasty.

Great service, food was standard, not the best breakfast, but sausage quality was good and a nice bit of streaky bacon. The interiors were nice and rustic and had a good atmosphere for a morning brunch.

The gluten free menu has great options for a brunch ✅️ I would definitely recommend it

Food was great. Wasn't overly busy. Food arrived way before our hot drinks came. Seemed to be an error but was rectified satisfactory and definitely will come back here. Wasn't overly busy but was picking up. Clearly a well known breakfast spot for the first meal of the day.

Came here with my mum last night, we were served by Denise who gave us great service and was super kind. The food was lovely and came out fairly quickly. I’ve been to a few different Bill’s before but this one is definitely the best! Would definitely come back here for food and drinks again!

We had a lovely Girly catch up Brunch today! We enjoyed our yummy choices, the Pancakes with Bananas, Biscoff crumb & Maple Syrup, could maybe had a bit more Banana, was the only suggestion put forward!! The young lady Chloe who was having a morning's trial, did well as did her Mentor Alice, who let us sit, gossiping, as we do, for quite sometime. Thank you

Very average Food a little expensive for what it is service was not friendly, slow and the tables were dirty. We had to clean our own table. Very cold inside with no heaters to be seen. I had the full breakfast and it was just average. Soup of the day was good but it got served way after our main food was served.

Visited here recently for breakfast for my boyfriend’s birthday. Nice, open space and seating, don’t feel cramped in which is nice as it does get quite busy. However, the food, service and atmosphere was not very pleasant. The food was okay, the sausages were not what I expected, very thin and dry, the sourdough toast was so hard and cold. The breakfast was not worth £14 unfortunately. The mushrooms were really nice which made it better but it was just lacking. The coffee was quite nice, unlike the service. Upon entering, I smiled at the girl behind the desk and got nothing in response. Everyone seemed to be given water and glasses with their coffee but we didn’t, which isn’t expected but I didn’t understand why others had it and not us. Nobody really spoke to us, made an effort to welcome us, or make any effort really. Everyone seemed to have better service or contact with the workers than us. The bakery section looked lovely but didn’t bother getting anything as the service had been cold and the food was not the best, so didn’t feel inclined to try. Overall, I didn’t have a very positive experience and would choose to visit another cafe/breakfast spot next time around, which is a shame as we were really looking forward to having my boyfriends birthday breakfast here.

Great coffee, and looked like tatsy sausage and veggie rolls on offer. They do a veggie breakfast. My egg, halloumi and hash browns were somewhat overcooked/charred on the day we were in there. This might be an isolated incident. The staff were friendly, with plenty of customers.

My partner and I had our first date here over two and a half years ago and we have been coming back almost every week. The staff are absolutely lovely and we can't sing their praises enough. The iced lattes are our favourite but we make sure to work our way through sampling their amazing cakes and pastries! We love that the café is dog friendly too! It's always so nice to come in and regularly see other people's doggo's hanging out with their owners by their table. Just an overall great place!

We had a delicious breakfast here this week on our cycle tour. The food, service and vibe of the cafe were all good, but the cutlery was poor. My fork looked like it was cut from a flat sheet of metal and my husband said his knife didn't cut. Would come here again but would bring our own cutlery!

It was Christmas, 1941. Barnes Wallis had left a meeting with military leaders charged with shortening the war in Europe. He was sat in Hetty's Place on Gloucester Quays pondering his, and the country's, future. He ordered himself a delicious mug of hot chocolate and requested all the trimmings, including mini marshmallows. In frustration he hurled one of the marshmallows from the edge of the table into the cup, which was centrally placed on the table in front of him. It only skimmed the surface of the beverage and ended up on the floor, some four feet from his mug. This gave Barnes an idea 💡. What if..........? he thought. His mind went into overdrive and within minutes he formulated the concept of the bouncing bomb 💣. Hetty's Place had provided him with the inspiration which would lead to the demolition of German dams during Operation Chastise, the Dam Busters raid. Wonderful coffee, with swirlies created by a true swirly master, the sort of swirly you look at for quite a while before getting stuck into the remarkable beverage. Truly delicious 😋 homemade cakes to accompany your drink. If you require something more substantial the chef will cook you something which tastes as good as it looks, and please note it looks fantastic! Great atmosphere created by the marvelous people t'other side of the counter, working in tandem to satisfy your culinary needs. To cap it all they also offer a nice view over the Quays. Spoil yourself next time you're in Gloucester and pop into Hetty's for a treat!

The atmosphere is lovely, it is in a lovely location with a beautiful view of the docks. The staff were nice and friendly. However we were both disappointed in the food. I had the breakfast rosti stack with a side of garlic miso mushrooms and my partner had a breakfast toastie. My food was very salty and covered in a very strong tasting (to me at least ) ketchup, I had assumed that would come on the side for dipping but instead it was heavily drizzled on top of and around the food. The mushrooms also tasted like nothing sadly, which is strange considering both garlic and miso are punchy flavours. It was definitely not worth the extra £2.75 for them. The poached egg had a slight runnyness but was perhaps a bit over done, as was the bottom of the rosti as well. My partners toastie was okay. He said the egg was cooked well but expected more cheese and there was an unexpected but not necessarily unpleasant spiciness. I enjoyed the hot chocolate. I opted for the 55% cocoa version. It would be nice if there was a milk chocolate option as well as the white and dark. I had also added toasted marshmallow fluff to my drink which whilst delicious was not at all toasted. To summarise, it is a beautiful location, with 'Instagram worthy' plating, but the actual food left us disappointed. Definitely felt like style over substance. It was also very expensive for what it was. In my opinion, perhaps a place more for coffee and cake than cooked brunches.

visited for the first time today, seated really quickly, food came out fast and was really nice dis not disappoint. i went for the breakfast rosti stack which was amazing and my friend had the butterscotch banana pancake stack. only criticism is the menu on the website was not the same as the menu i was given when i arrived so would hope this could be more frequently updated. male server was slightly abrupt and i didn't get to order another item before he had walked off but i can appreciate it was a bank holiday Friday so he was probably rushing around. will be back soon!!

The food and service were lovely, but the coffee was terrible. Unfortunately none of the baristas, although very friendly, were appropriately trained. I felt awful having to sent the coffee back twice, but the barista simply had no idea what she was doing wrong. The espresso in the flat white was over-extracted (tasted super bitter and burnt) which is clear that the grinder is not calibrated appropriately and the ‘cappuccino’ was very watery and lava hot (which obviously makes the milk seperate and taste awful, and which she then had to keep slamming on the countertop to get rid of the bubbles). Also the barista couldn’t answer any of my questions about the coffee origins or roast level. Management, please do better!

Negatives Three members of staff on and not busy but i had to wait 30 minutes for the food Chef had a dirty tea towel over his shoulder Staff on mobile phones Came out smelling of food ( not sure why there isn’t ventilation) And quite expensive for what you get . What a lovely place overlooking the docks. Attentive staff, nice background music and I should not have taken extra bacon on my sandwich and two cakes! A must visit place for Gloucester Docks.

Excellent food here, we were initially excited that it had a vegan menu, which is quite extensive! We had the fried courgettes, and quinoa with sorbet (surprisingly good combination) as starters, and the aubergine bake, and vegan gyros as mains. All phenomenal. If I had to critique any part of it I would say that the fries were a little under-seasoned, but that's really splitting hairs. My vegan 'meat' in the gyro was incredible, not like anything I'd had before, and I suspect, made in-house. The mayo was really nice too, not too greasy at all. It was very busy when we were there, but they were still very quick with our food/bill, etc. and so friendly and personable. We took our dessert to go as we were stuffed, but still wanted to try it. We had three courses each, which cost around £30 each (minus tips), which I think is pretty reasonable for how good the food and service was.

Feta cheese wrapped in filo pastry, smothered in honey with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Bake until perfect, and serve. You'll be forgiven if you think you've died and gone to Greek heaven. This truly is Ambrosia, the food of the Gods. My dining companions were equally as impressed. The spinachy mushrooms in the cheesey deliciousness can only be described as remarkable. We've already established that this northern geezer doesn't do bunny food, so my main course was served with a 'northern salad', chips in a feta sauce. Carbs with carbs. It's a good job I had plenty of insulin with me. The mixed grill, I was led to believe, was a delightful array of assorted meats and the Souvlaki Thalassinon was exceptional. The swordfish stood out, the rice was even better. There was no room for pudding. Our host (with the most), Sakis, turned out to be the star of the show. A marvellous geezer with a great sense of humour. If you're ever hungry in Gloucester you can do no better than to scurry along to Greek on the Docks.

Wonderful restaurant. Been here twice now; once for a family meal and second date night. Both times has been great. Such a great big menu of lots of different dishes, I look forward to going again and trying another dish. Definitely recommend giving this restaurant a go. Staff are very attentive and you’re not left waiting.

This is a Greek restaurant in the docks area of Gloucester. Service was excellent and food delicious. I didn't book ahead but got seated almost straight away. Our server was professional but friendly and efficient. There was a bit of a wait before being served but it was very busy, and I wasn't in any rush to go anywhere. Great choices on the menu and although it wasn't cheap, I don't mind paying for food which was well prepared, presented and full of flavour. I had the Kleftiko which was as good as I've had in Greece. The Galatoboureko for dessert was not too sweet and it went down a treat. I have already recommended this restaurant to friends and I will be back to visit again. Thank you so much. Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ!

The location and atmosphere were great in this restaurant. We enjoyed a couple of starters at our visit, and they were very tasty and could have stayed to sample more from the menu. Cocktails were also very good. The cold fish salad was plate licking good and the calamari some of the best I've tasted.

Absolutely Amazing Experience at Greek on the Docks I had the pleasure of dining at Greek on the Docks recently, and it was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. This was my second visit, and once again, I was absolutely delighted by the experience. The food is authentic and full of flavor, with every dish offering the perfect balance of traditional Greek taste and fresh ingredients. I opted to sit outside, and it was bright, fresh, and uplifting, with lovely views of the docks. Greek on the Docks has quickly become one of my favorite places to visit in Gloucester. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed a taste sensation at this italian restaurant in Gloucester. Service was very attentive, however a little slow, but I appreciate it was a busy Friday evening. Location fantastic with alfresco dinning. We indulged in a pizza and pasta combo, which did not disappoint 10/10 on flavours and would definitely return to sample more from the menu.

Perfect Anniversary Dinner at Gloucester Docks We visited Trattoria Settebello for our first wedding anniversary and it couldn’t have been more perfect. On arrival, the team warmly acknowledged our special occasion, which was such a thoughtful touch and set the tone for the evening. The decor is absolutely beautiful and we chose to sit indoors, with lovely views of the docks. Even on a Sunday evening, there was a lively buzz without being overwhelming. Our server, Josh, was excellent throughout – professional, polite, and attentive, which really enhanced the experience. The food was outstanding. We started with calamari, and I can honestly say it was the best I’ve ever had – perfectly cooked, delicious flavour, and a generous portion. For mains, we shared the carbonara and a margherita classica pizza. Both were amazing: authentic, full of flavour, and served in hearty portions. The food was so good that we sadly had no room left for dessert, but that just gives us a reason to return! We also enjoyed a refreshing strawberry mocktail and finished the evening with a lovely coffee, which rounded everything off perfectly. Overall, it was an amazing experience from start to finish – a fantastic atmosphere, outstanding food, and wonderful service. Highly recommended for a special occasion or simply a great night out. We’ll definitely be back.

Unplanned visit turned into great culinary experience! Generous portions and reasonably priced too. The taste oh so yum!! I had the mussels a pizza, my partner had the mussels too and the rigatoni. All excellent! I could not even finish the pizza so took it home and ate it for dinner- the taste was still amazing!

I had a lovely birthday meal here. The food was great and the service exceptional. A shout out to the chefs as it was the best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Josh our server could not have been more helpful. I thoroughly recommend.

Excellent Italian in the docks. We really enjoyed the polenta chips (more like.hash browns) and pizza. And the nutella and mascapone calzone and tiramisu for dessert.

We visited for dinner. Brilliant service and atmosphere. The starter of calamari and scotch egg from the specials menu were outstanding. I love seafood, but the mezzi paccheri al gamberi was so fishy and inedible, not quite right. The staff kindly swapped the dish for Caparrico pizza which was nice. The spicy calbrese pizza was fantastic. We would visit again.

A moderate pub with locals at the heart of service. One of my personal pet hates in a pub is not being welcomed or seeing a friendly face. Here it was straight to what do you want....not too busy but if you have people waiting at the bar and the "manager" is sitting directly to the side on a high table facing the bar and doesn't help then you know they are not pub friendly. As a publican, everyone has a priority of welcoming and servicing customers as priority. The traditional pub has almost gone and replaced by staff that really dont see its true essence of historical theatrical pub values. Recommendation Too many pubs around so skip this one unless you just want......🤐🤐

Nice enough. Beautifully organised. Old fashioned feel. We visited for lunch on a week day in term time so there were plenty of spare tables. The clientele was almost entirely elderly which I suspect is the target market. Hence the general decor looked like a 1970’s living room and there were no vegetarian items on the menu. Food was OK: portion sizes were good enough for the price and arrived hot (just). Unfortunately, the onion rings were undercooked and the chicken, rubbery mushroom and tomato were slightly all overcooked. However, the chips and fish were both excellent. So, all in all, variable quality. Drinks were priced reasonably. The Guinness was from a can as the pub was trialling the alcohol free version but the glass was chilled, as it should be. Service and staff were speedy and efficient. Very well laid out interior with clear signage. Definitely one of the cleanest, neatest and tidiest pubs in which I’ve ever eaten. Plenty of room between the inside tables allowed for a more relaxed eating experience. The outside seating is next to the main road and the ‘view’ is of the local housing but it was all clean and, again, well spaced. The car park is small and cramped and there’s limited parking in the local (suburban) area nearby. Either visit off peak / early or be prepared for few minutes walk from car to pub. I would visit again but go for the one of the fish options next time.

I cannot actually rate on food as I haven’t been served any food. Went in Teddy this lunch while on walk with my dogs, just to have some lunch and do some work. Sat down and I started to order online but because I am allergic I had to go to the bar. No acknowledgment just “wait a min”. Hello?? How are you? I asked to order some food, again wait a min and the girl ( supervisor) called someone else. Dark hair, lovely girl, polite asking me if I had any allergies and I said yes. Very annoyed from my answer the supervisor rolled her eyes, the dark hair girl couldn’t put my allergy order in. Talking to the other girl like was her fault and continuing doing faces, I thought wasn’t worth it for me to order anymore. When I said “is fine I’ll have just a coffee as definitely this is a problem” she said well I can actually put your allergy on. I didn’t wanted to be a burden to her and she made sure I was since the moment she saw me.I didn’t think that my fish allergy would be so problematic. Is the second time in two months that the same person is being rude and like is doing me a favour to give me a coffee that I have paid for. I cannot fault the other girls but I will not return. I have been polite enough and not creating any problems. Shame as is near where I live.

Sam the bartender was so lovely and patient with our huge party of over 20 people. The food was delicious and hot, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The gentleman who served our food couldn’t be any more helpful, thank you all!

I almost walked on by, as if I'd just approached Dionne Warwick bawling her eyes out. I'm glad I didn't, the coffee was delicious. Met by a delightful young man, ably assisted by all the other peeps on the business side of the counter. This establishment is cost effective in the extreme. Well worth a visit next time you're in Gloucester. ☕️👍😊

We stopped in here to have a bite to eat after a long day of driving. The food and service were exceptional. The two young staff members were attentive, friendly and extremely welcoming. Service was fast and product knowledge was brilliant. Once the food arrived it was really great too. Freshly made and full of flavour. The menu was extensive and lots of options for us. The whole meal was excellent value for money and I would highly recommend this little tea room to anyone passing by.

I stumbled on this place and liked the look of it. Had a nice scone and tea. Lovely, attentive staff, relaxed atmosphere, much better quality and prices than at the chains you find nearby.

two friends and I went for cream tea here today and I must say it was very pleasant, the tea was beautiful, and the scones were lush. We had a very enjoyable time and can not wait to try all your other delicious looking menu items!! very good for the price

Wonderful independant tea/coffee/breakfast/lunch place in the very center of Gloucester Went there two times in less than 24hr ! My scone with clotted cream & jam was delicious. My porridge was super tasty. Tea was perfect. Friendly vibes, lovely staff, great music... It feels warm and confy to see all the regular customers come and go here... I highly recommend !

Such pleasant and wonderful hosts! The pricing is very nominal and the breakfast was tasty. Very generous portions and perfectly toasted brown bread. The chicken soup was thick and good, but I enjoyed the vegetarian breakfast. The food was cooked to order and was piping hot when we got it. Thanks, would certainly return back.

Great food. The cafe has had a slight improvement with the design and the menus, I would ask to bring back the 'trojan special' - as a weekly special on a separate wall. As 'trojan special' was iconic for the customers who has stayed loyal to this place.

This is a lovely friendly cafe on Bristol Road in Gloucester, has plenty of seating inside, we only had the breakfast but was lovely and hot and plenty to eat, various meal options on the menu this cafe is welcoming, really reasonably priced and definitely good value for money, will go again and recommend

The food was really tasty , we had english breakfast and the mushrooms and the hashbrowns were yum. I would suggest all to try this restaurant atleast once. It's really good if you like english breakfast.

Had the breakfast £6:50 and a tea £1:70. The breakfast is average came with 2 slices of bead which was buttered but I can not eat butter so asked for it to be changed. Finished my breakfast, but still no sign of the bread. This is not a large cafe, so limited seating. Service was good. I would not sit at the front window on the left if it is raining because the rain comes in, and you will get wet.

We had a family Sunday lunch today. Absolutely excellent. Staff were outstanding Lady behind the bar was professional - friendly and helpful.

Mandy, Chris and the team are fantastic. I stayed with mum and two sisters for a night and the service was fantastic. Friendly welcome on arrival, clean room, excellent hospitality and breakfast was delicious. Would highly recommend!

Lovely clean accomodation. Breakfast is awesome! It is on a major road so expect a bit of road noise, but didn't impact my sleep.

Terrible experience very impatient owner(Chris)we previously got a drink but met up with friends on entry we got stopped by people talking to us, a couple of us got drinks n was having a smoke before we could enter n get more drinks we was approached by drunk owner who told some of us to “piss off” even though we was silent and waiting for our friends to finish their cigarettes to go inside very rude. Terrible owner. Do better.

Ive been staying here 2 nights and Chris and the staff are absolutely fantastic Chris has gone beyond what I’d expect. The people giving it negative reviews must have been doing something seriously wrong

We thought we'd try somewhere different. It's not the most fancy cafe or in the best area, but you get what you pay for. We had a fry up, which was huge and tasty, apart from the sausages. They felt cheap.

Was staying nearby for the Cheltenham festival and needed a nice breakfast after a heavy night drinking and this place was recommended to us by a local and it was outstanding and cooked really well not rushed like most places the bacon was cooked perfectly and everything else was delicious on the full English I couldn't finish it and went back again the next day and was defeated again but really enjoyed it both times will hopefully visit again sometime. Owners where really nice too.

Really worth a visit best breakfast in Gloucester. We had the special set breakfast £5.50 each, it was hot and freshly prepared (egg, sauage, 2 bacon, beans, black pudding, bubble and squeak and 2 rounds of toast) The premises were really clean. The staff were welcoming and friendly.

A delicious Lunch I at Gloucester Docks earlier today, with an excellent view "Bonus" and a Bottle of Cider on the side of course, definitely worth visiting! 😋 🍜 🍺

Lift not working and difficult to find. Main sign for the lift is on the inner wall of the small alleyway. Anyone who doesn't know where it is will have to check around the whole building just to find it. Once we found it, it wasn't working anyway. Makes it unattractive to check the restaurants upstairs.

We are at Chuck Burger last night. It was a great experience. Burger was delicious and I had the chicken strips which were so tasty. House wine was very good. Couldn’t fault it. We will def be back. Took my granddaughter to Wholly Gelato; we've visited their farm in the past. Beautiful icecream and nice tasting coffee. We also bought some flavoured milk to take home. You can pursue a milk bottle or take your own clean container.

Brilliant restoration and repurposing of an historic building and home my new favourite burger joint, “Chuck”. Definitely coming back (from Cheltenham) soon.

Nathan was a great host. Very chatty and friendly. Excellent going through the allergen menu and helpful. Food was great! Very crispy roastys. Good meat and veg. Vegetarian gravy is GF.

Went here as had a voucher, I booked the table a week before going for 6.40pm. When we arrived there was a queue out the door. By the time we got in, we were told they were running late, we got a table about 8 minutes after our time. Service was fine, and the food was hot.

Lovely last minute meal here tonight. On a drive past and thought we would see what it is like here. Kirsty H who served us this evening was very friendly and smily. Always lovely to have friendly service. Will definitely come here again.

Pros: The food is genuine, reasonable value for money, very friendly staff who make you feel at home. Cons: The whole place needs a deep clean, it is often really dirty when we visit. The food is often dry. Not much flavour or effort put into the cooking. Very skimpy amounts of meat.

1930 Booking Running Early: Tried to ring ; No answer Arrived 1915 and told to wait. Stood in corner. Numerous parties came and were seated; plenty of unoccupied tables. 1947 Took to table . Queued for 37 minutes at the carvery before service. Ate at 2027 Staff stressed and told us so. Our personal server was lovely. Carvery area looked like a bomb had gone off ; some empty dishes and lots of escaped food. Not Great Really

Staff were excellent and friendly. They got us a high chair straight away and the accessible toilet for baby changing was very clean and tidy. The downfall was the lack of choice of vegetables. It just seems to have reduced over the years 😢.

I almost never leave 1* review but this place is abysmal. I don’t even know what the fries were supposed to be but everything from the presentation to the taste was absolutely awful. The burger was dry and was the cheapest frozen patty I think you could buy, with cheddar cheese in (weird cheese for a burger) and just to top it off the coke/pepsi was flat. But atleast we got a mega sized portion of coleslaw and half a chips worth of BBQ sauce. The prices here are astronomical for some of the worst food you could get

Was here for breakfast as I was staying at the Premier Inn opposite. Food was very good and well cooked. Service was acceptable but I didn't feel rushed. This was part of the meal deal with Premier Inn.

The interior was nice. Slow service, waited at host desk for about 10minutes with no one in sight. Had to pay at bar. The breakfast was disappointing, plain, just tasted of microwave. Small juice glasses constantly have to go up to refill. Waitress took the drinks station few minutes early too which was inconvenient.

Second visit here - another very positive experience. Staff were cheerful and helpful when we arrived and so it continued. Our waitress, Sue, was friendly and efficient; our food came promptly with good timings between courses. Both the steak and lasagna were delicious. Definitely recommended!

Coming from South Wales to meet up with friends from the midlands, this was about half way for both of us. We booked a meal deal with the Premier inn. We had a drink on arrival and booked our table for 7pm in the restaurant area for our evening meal. The serving staff were great, the place is clean and the food was good standard pub grub. However, we were a bit disappointed at the end of the night when we decided to have one for the road. Went up to the bar and a stern lady told me the bar was closed and it closes at 10pm, this was 10.02. When I told her that the website states it is open until 11pm she told me there's nothing she could do as it has been shutting at 10pm for 2 years. I asked why the time (on this site) had not been altered and Mrs Stern told me she could do nothing about that. Really??? What's the matter with getting your regional manager to get whoever updates the site to alter it? My main gripe was not the closing time, but the fact that nobody had come to warn us the bar was closing soon, or rung a bell of some sort. You've eaten, we've had your money, now there's the door. If we'd known we would have had another drink and been out of there by 10.30 no problem, not exactly into the early hours is it? It wont stop us meeting up there again as everything else was fine.

Attended early evening (17:30 booked table) and restaurant not busy. Shown table and after bringing drinks order, left to peruse menu. Ordered RibEye steak (medium rare)with Diane sauce, served with usual accompaniments and was very nice. Waiting Staff were very professional and attentive all time. - Recommended.

We called in for very late lunch. Everywhere was really clean and the staff were friendly. I have to commend our server Graham as delivering exceptionally good service! So rare these days. Food was lovely. Very happy

I’ve been here a few times recently and the food is great, service is excellent and atmosphere always perfect for a pub. A group of us went for Mother’s Day and they were really busy, there were 8 of us and a baby, however we had been sat around a very small table and didn’t think it would be suitable. We enquired about moving and despite all the tables being fully booked the manager made it her responsibility to find us somewhere better. We all ordered our food individually as well (I know nightmare) but the kitchen worked to the best of their ability to bring it all out at the same time, and they did very well! I had a Barbacoa Steak which was something different for me and it was really, really nice and I will be back to try it again. As a side I had the Panko Prawns which were always superb, as you can see I got them again the next time I went. Toilets are a little bit dated, but they do the job.

I was looking for a good pub in Gloucester and went to this pub based on Google reviews. Decent food and reasonably priced, fine place for a pit stop. Toilets need a makeover, were dirty and not very pleasant.

Celebrated by Dads 70th here this week with 12 family members and we had a great experience. Everyone enjoyed their food and it was all delivered at the same time, which is always a challenge with such a large group. Jay the manager came over to make sure we had everything we needed and even bought my dad a pint which was well received. All servers and staff with helpful, engaging and polite. I had a very good experience at the pike, I went there on my own and was met with smiles by a very kind member of staff, I believe his name was Ethan. He was very kind and helpful and we had a small conversation which made me feel welcomed. The food was nice and I enjoyed how everything looked

Went there with my boyfriend to have a nice lunch, food was enjoyable, place was clean and the bar man Ethan was lovely bloke who we both enjoyed having a bit of banter with. Overall a pleasant experience.

Feeling disappointed reading some reviews of how Great, the staff and food is Supposed to be at this establishment, Sadly I don’t agree, everything about this place was just off, If you’re looking to have a good night, then please don’t go to this place! Poor customer service, not one smile. Not one check back on the food. Arrogance staff That clearly didn’t even wanna be at work Not sure if they were arguing behind the scenes or Just as unhappy as the customers to be there, but none of them were nice in any sense whatsoever, the food was disgusting. The toilets were covered in urine. They seem to deliberately want to make their customers feel uncomfortable! They take payment first then you’re their prisoners. Another Wetherspoons I've previously been to many years ago, however did not review at the time. This is one of two branches in Gloucester. The Regal is a large branch of Wetherspoons situated in an old Cinema building, in King's Square, on the northern side of the City Centre. There is a reasonable sized garden area out the back of the pub. The bar area and coffee machines are on the left hand side of the pub, as you walk down the stairs at the front. On this occasion, I ordered a Vegetarian Breakfast, and a pint of Wolf Brewery 'Granny Wouldn't Like It' Ale - 4.8%. Total cost was £7.88. £4.99 for the breakfast, and £2.89 for the beer. The pint arrived within a minute of ordering, very quick! Food was a bit slower, arriving around 13 minutes after ordering. The food was well present and cooked upon arrival. Despite the recent price rises, still one of the cheapest places in Gloucester centre for food and drink.

We visited here a few times when we stayed in Glouster. For the prices the food and drinks were good, service was good and the atmosphere was good it's a very busy spot. If I'm back this way I will drop back in pint of Carlsberg 2.54 pounds about €3 good deals on food and a pint

This is typical Wetherspoons reasonably priced and worth the money, meals seem smaller but still just as good, this is set on Kingsquare in Gloucester, has plenty of seating inside and outside and smoking area, children friendly, this was the old cinema for gloucester, worth a visit.. We now come here a bit more. They do clear down alot quicker than Lord High Constable. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Did have issue with still frozen food then got taken back and came back still frozen. Kitchen Manager did ring and email to apologise and apparently has taken steps to ensure food safety. Sat here and watching waitress transfer sauces from one bottle to another which is against health and hygiene. To be honest it's disgusting. We also sat and watched while 8 meals sat under the warming lamps for 5 minutes and no excuses it's not that busy 16/04/2025. This is a really good wetherspoons but just little things like this not good. But do enjoy the deals and speaking to the friendly staff. Will still use. 18/04/2025. Nice to see a member of staff using initiative using trolley and lift to clear down. All tables wiped clean. And such a lovely friendly hardworking lady Carol. And she would be brilliant training the others apart from duty manager who also works well.

Easily the better of the two Spoons in Gloucester. We caught the specials. Two small freshly battered cod and chips and two Leffe Blondes came to £11.34. Fantastic value and really nice, too.

Had lunch here today. Ordered the chicken tikka masala and the new spice bowl. The spice bowl was delicious and would deffo recommend it to anyone. Was busy as expected for a Wetherspoons. Wasn’t too long to wait though.

Popped in today (5th February 2025). It was their first day back open so doing a soft launch with good coffee, soft drinks and packeted biscuit. Really nice, clean friendly and plans for paninis coming soon. All three chaps are qualified chefs from the college on site. Just cashless payment. Hours are currently 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday.

Stopped here on the way down south to Newquay. £8.50 for a very big breakfast was an amazing price. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. Banoffee pie was freshly made, so took some with us for later in the day, tasted fantastic. Would happily go back to support these guys in the future

We visited with our 16 year old granddaughter who’s interested in HMP’s and about to make career choices. She, and we, loved this cafe. The two men who served us were very polite and friendly, the service and food quality were excellent, a very memorable brunch stop off. We will definitely visit again

TripAdvisor took me to the nearest highest rated cafe within 5 miles on a roadtrip. Great coffee, outdoor seating with Douglas fir and oak trees, cheaper than the motorway Costa on my way home and guys went out of their way to provide excellent service. Menu looked very reasonably priced too and has rave reviews on TripAdvisor from cycling clubs.

A great experience as always. Special thanks to Alex for going above and beyond to confirm and check ingredients in foods and drinks for us, nothing was to much trouble for him. Lovely hot drinks, lovely fresh cakes and perfect porridge. The baby chino was an absolute hit & its great to be able to chose between milk and hot chocolate.

The best coffee shop in the centre of Gloucester. (IMHO) Been a regular customer for 3 or 4 years. Coffee is great, good choice of cakes and snacks and all of the staff are welcoming and friendly. Abbey, Lucy, Emma, Vi, Alex and the rest of the team thank you so much for your excellent service.

Every time I visit this particular coffee #1 the staff are more interested in talking about their social lives with each other than they are attemding to customers....you wait ages to be served because they are so busy chatting amongst themselves.....chewing gum and playing with their hair!!!!! Really unhygienic....employ older staff who can relate to customers....

I love Coffee #1. The decor is lovely, and the atmosphere is relaxed. They have a nice range of drinks, and a variety of food that you'd expect from a coffee shop. The staff are always friendly, and the toilet is near the front door - in my opinion, a very useful location. There's a ramp into the coffee shop, making it more accessible.

I had the worst customer experience ever at this coffee shop this morning. I visited with a group of 9 of my colleagues from the Cathedral for a meeting, all of us ordering coffee and cakes. I ordered a Welsh cake with my coffee. On the counter next to the Welsh cakes was a container with what I mistakenly thought were butter portions wrapped in gold foil. I took one of these to spread on my Welsh cake but on opening it realised it was chocolate. The chocolates were apparently for sale for 50p each. There was no label or price on the counter. I returned to the counter to tell a member of staff about the mistake. While speaking, I was interrupted by another member of staff who in a very hostile tone asked me if I’d taken a chocolate without paying. This lady had dark hair tied at the front with a very colourful headscarf. I explained my mistake and the member of staff insisted that I pay the 50p, telling me “you can’t just take things without paying”. She was extremely rude and confrontational and I felt humiliated in front of my colleagues and other customers. Being accused of stealing was very upsetting. This was a disproportionate response to an innocent and easily-made mistake. I was there to participate in a work meeting with colleagues with no intention of stealing a 50p chocolate. I hope this member of staff realises that she has cost the company a lot of future business by behaving in this way as we shall not be returning.

There were multiple tables full of rubbish. I was wrongly charged because they were not listening to my order. They made my drinks wrong and they ended up making me and my husband feel really unwell

Worst Costa ever been in. service slow coffee was awful. floor looks like could do with a good brush, tables not been cleaned. toilets need a good cleaning, toilet needs cleaning really dirty and floor dirty and no loo roll. I would never use here again felt not welcoming at all

I’ve never felt the need to write a review before, but my experience at this Costa was unacceptable. The coffee was average at best, but what really ruined my visit was the incredibly rude and dismissive manager. Instead of handling a simple query with professionalism, they were abrupt, unhelpful, and frankly, condescending. It’s one thing for a team member to have an off day, but when the manager sets the tone with such a bad attitude, it reflects poorly on the whole store. I left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. Definitely not the Costa experience I’m used to — won’t be returning to this location.

They were rude with me just for asking for a dash of cold milk on my black American… I know it’s last minute especially when it needs to place it on the till but it was a dash… no need to be spoken to me like I was a child, on other occasion I asked about a cake and again was not friendly at all, so I now believe I can confirm I won’t be back or even bring my family to see this kind of behaviour, may need to think as beefing nice to customers does not hurt at all.

I came in today to have a coffee inside, was told by this guy in the counter, they are only doing take aways. No drink in as they are closing at 4pm. And its only 1.30 pm. A bit early to turn me down, so annoying so walked out, not coming back there again.

I guess this is the typical Costa with all the things that you expect to receive and get. I have visited it may times and they always seem very busy - so busy that I have often turned away from it and gone somewhere else because the wait was just too much. Whilst things can be busy I do believe that possibly more efficient and faster service could improve things.

When I was in there earlier. I had a large Coca-Cola and my wife a hot chocolate. Something wasn't right with them the coke tasted like a very cheep cola and had a flowery taste . The chocolate was almost a tar undrinkable. Shame the rest of the meal was of a acceptable quality and hot .

McDonald's is one of those places that will continue to be successful no matter how bad the reviews and that's half the problem... The staff here don't particularly care how they speak to you, it's loud, overcrowded and drive through orders usually mean waiting in the car park for 15 minutes so as not to reflect badly on their timed systems or in other words: 'how long they keep you waiting' Someone has to answer for that somewhere along the line. (worth remembering next time you get pushed on) Maybe you don't go to McDonald's expecting the Hilton experience' but when 2 meals are costing you close to £18 you do expect food that's atleast hot, tastes half way decent and vaguely resembles what you paid for - I'm sure there's a trading standards law somewhere that says something about that... Unfortunately our burgers arrived looking like they'd been thrown in a bin, cold and dry with a slop of salad saturated in sauce similar to something I wouldn't care to mention on a public forum dripping out the side. We emailed the store manager and sent photos of our meals including our receipt concerned about the low quality of the food & service we received. No reply, no acknowledgement, not even a simple 'I'm sorry about your experience how can we make it right' I'm sure they have little care that they've lost another customer because that's basically how McDonald's has become. Big corporations make no apologies to upsetting a person's day anymore unless it makes a real problem for their percentages at the end of the month I know that much. This is a disappointing place to spend your money and I truly hope whomever is reading this goes elsewhere, spend your money on a business that cares a bit more about 'you' the customer. Dreadful!

Awful food. 04/02/2024. Drive thru!!! Awful food. I have an intolerance to tomatoes. "No tomatoes and onions please" burger full of both. All food freezing cold . Waited in parking bay for a while as well. Not busy !! Shocking service and staff. Food rammed in packs . People on the move haven't got time to check orders when they should be correct. Was home before noticing how horrible it all was.

Not the greatest tbh. Ordered on the app to save time. Gave my code when I went through drive thru. Queued for a while. Saw that the car in front got given my order and then they handed it back and then when I got to the window I got asked what I had ordered and then advised I had seen my order given to the car in front. The guy didn’t even apologise for the error and just handed me the order. So my order had been in and out of someone’s car and then handed to me, not very professional if you ask me.

Wow. Often visit McDonalds mainly for a Coffee. Often they are much if a muchness. However I was seriously impressed and the staff at the restaurant on shift today. There were 2 ladies doing the tidying up and delivering orders. Both were super friendly and very hard working. Both a credit to the restaurant. As a result the restaurant is super clean.

Very traditional style English cafe, with menu and staff to match. Cheap as chips which is hard to do in this day and age! The old school milkshake maker was what did it for me.

Always come in here if I’m in town with my mother, good food, nice portions, most staff friendly, the odd one doesn’t seem to want to be there, some of the other customers are loud and disruptive, conversations so loud that I don’t want to hear when eating , far too many tables cramped into a small cafe and seats are fitted to the tables not good for people who can’t sit in, overall will be going back when we’re in town but only for food reasons also could staff give customers a minute to decide from the lovely menu.

Lovely branch of Poppins, reminds me of home! All team putting in shared responsibilities, very accommodating and guided me to a suitable table to charge my phone at! Food was great, exactly what I love about Poppins, consistency! Will return again when in town.

Really lovely place, excellent food and brilliant, caring service. We tried it on our way to a holiday and liked it so much we came again on the way home. Highly recommend it.

What a stunning find, will be definitely be going back. Superb food and absolutely lovely staff, who can’t do enough for you. A team gem. I had the double Glos cheese toastie with Dijon it was undoubtedly the best toastie ever. Came with a gorgeous salad and very generous portions. Fantastic value and a lovely chilled vibe on one of the nicest streets of Gloucester in my opinion.

The pistachio slice and coffee was excellent but I need to come back 15 more times to sample the other cakes and food to be sure they deserve 5 stars. Is that petty? Well it won't be a chore because the vibe is good and as others say, service and smiles are too.

The cafe owner was just outstanding. I arrived just after closing and was offered a takeaway afternoon tea for 2. Excellent value and a delicious home baked scone with clotted cream, butter and preserve. What really prompted my review was the friendliness, and courtesy of service by the owner in going the extra mile. We tried 2 cafes earlier and been given short shrift. Cannot over recommend. Am making a point to revisit this lovely place 👍🏻

Lovely gluten-free Club sandwich, worth giving this a try if you're gluten intolerant. Tried most items on the menu before intolerance came up and hard going somewhere else for breakfast or lunch. It's a great place to relax at the city center. Beautifully decorated seating arrangements and friendly staff will grab your attention to make your visit from one time to frequently. I visited with my wife on our anniversary day without any prior planning, and their services just made our day.

Visited here with my mum, sister and 2 young nephews. Staff were so friendly, food came out quickly and was delicious. Will definitely visit next time I'm in Gloucester.

Ordered a bacon and sausage sandwich, no sauce white bread. Staff look and sound miserable, sandwich came and it was in brown grained bread with only one sausage in it running from corner to corner. For the amount you pay you would expect the regular 2 sausages and maybe the right bread. Very little butter on the bread too which left the sandwich incredibly dry. Disappointed as it used to be quite good here

Really friendly staff and the food smelt amazing! Me and my friend popped in here for an iced coffee and milkshake. Both were delicious and reasonably priced! They do have plenty of seating inside the cafe as well so plenty of space to sit as well as having takeaway.

Waited 20 minutes in collect bay, having ordered via the app. Went inside to see where my food was, not done. Asked the manager where it was and he started shouting like a lunatic. Seriously concerned with state of mind. He walked away from restaurant for no reason. My order was incorrect but wasn’t too bothered because of the hysterical nature of the manager

Dear McDonald’s Customer Service, I am very upset to report an issue with my recent order at the McDonald’s located at 337 Bristol Rd, Gloucester GL2 5DN. I stopped by to buy food for my son, and after returning home and checking the bag, I discovered that two apple pies were missing. I was charged for them, but they were not included in my order. Additionally, there was no receipt in my bag, which makes it difficult to verify the purchase. Unfortunately, this is not the first time something like this has happened at this location, which makes it extremely frustrating and disappointing. I had just returned home after being stuck in traffic in Gloucester, and finding my order incomplete was very upsetting. I kindly ask that you investigate this matter and arrange a refund for the missing items. I hope steps will be taken to ensure this does not continue to happen at this location. Thank you for your attention and understanding.

Just dirty. Flies all over the sauce pump, tables dirty. Ok Sunday early afternoon, but it's not even that busy, 4 orders on the board

Awful service. Awful food. I have placed an order with this McDonald’s through apps multiple times. Every time they forgot stuff so I called while my order was being prepared to ask them to take special care. They promised they would. Food arrived and stuff was missing and some of the order was wrong and all of it was cold. I called to let them know and they put the phone down on me mid sentence.

Staff stood around chatting while orders piled up with food waiting to be packed. A deliveroo driver eventually snapped at them after which they all seemed to realise they were meant to be working, within minutes everyone got their orders.

Second time in a row. Ordered no pickle plain cheese burger. How hard can it be!! They insist on putting sauce and pickles in it even when the sticker clearly says plain. Try to complain?? Try to get hold of them?? Not a chance. Absolut joke. Don't try if you have an allergy to somthing

It was good when I went here but the problem is that the milkshakes ran out but I think they are putting more in stock but still this is a good McDonald's recommended

I recently visited this coffee shop for the first time and had a positive experience overall. The coffee was well-prepared and tasted great, just what I expected. The staff were friendly and efficient, even though it was a busy time. The seating area was spacious and comfortable enough to relax in, though some chairs could be a bit cozier. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the place felt clean and well-maintained. My only minor downside was that the restroom was a little hard to find. For a first visit, I was impressed and would definitely consider coming back. A solid choice if you’re looking for a dependable spot to enjoy your coffee.

Just purchased a large skinny cappuccino a skinny chi latte and a cinnamon bun. Two out of three ain't bad is a song but when the coffee cost about £4 and tastes like they haven't cleaned the machine for a week its nothing to sing about. Absolutely undrinkable and if I hadn't driven 2 miles home I would have returned it. Will have to review my choice of coffee shop if they can't offer a consistent quality product. Plus the milk was over frothed and I got a half full drink once it had settled. Overpriced rubbish.

Absolutely love Starbucks. Far better than anywhere else. Only had coffee and a Danish/cake each X3. Service in any Starbucks is always slow but order was absolutely lovely.

We popped in for a quick coffee and cake. The coffee was good and nice and hot which isn't always the case at other coffee houses. We ate in but had to leave and still had coffee that the staff were happy to decant into takeaway cups for us, really helpful.

Not great to be honest. A lot of the drinks are never in stock. Either no ingredients or sold out. Takes forever to do an order as every time you say a drink, they haven’t got it

I came here today to meet my partner who was delivering pallets in his HGV1 to businesses in the estate. I wanted to buy him a coffee & cake before he got back on the road and spend 5 mins with him as he works long shifts and I don't get to see him often. I pulled up in the car park of the Diner and the woman who works there (blonde hair) came at me like a viper! She was extremely rude and asked me to move because its customer parking only. When I explained I am just going to ask my partner what he wants then I'm coming back to get coffee, she got extremely confrontational with me to the point that passer bys even commented on how vile she was to me - so admittedly I was defensive back to her and gave her the attitude she gave me. She told me I should have told her I was parking there before asking my partner what he wanted! Please, if you are stood by the window all day watching who is parking then you need to get something better to do - working on your attitude would be a good start.

No idea what the food is like…didn’t get to try it. I went to the business park to pick up an order and saw the diner, so I parked outside intending to get something to eat as I’d skipped breakfast. The place I needed to go was right opposite so I thought I’d quickly grab what I came for first, but the second I walked away from my car this awful woman came out shouting at me to move my car as it’s for customers only. She literally must stand at the window watching for people to pull up as I’d barely gone 3 yards, I can only assume it’s entertainment for her as there were plenty of other spaces next to me. She didn’t ask if I was intending to eat there before laying into me nor did she give me the chance to say that, but there was no way I was going to after that even though I was starving, so I just moved my car to across the road, picked up what I came for and left! Awful place, I’d avoid, especially going by other reviews!

This is just a cafe now. Had a breakfast. There was no one in front of me, but it still took 2 mins to place my order. Although the ladles were behind the counter, they just did not acknowledge I was there. The food was average at best. It's definitely not worth £9.60. No atmosphere and it was cold inside.

Love it here, great breakfast and always happy to see you. Always have a natter and worth visiting on a Sunday for a proper portion of a Sunday lunch. Love it.

Park diner is a great place to go to for breakfast and lunch with great home cooked food, l call in whenever I'm in the area and sometimes make a considerable detour for lunch. Recommend

This is excellent food and service. We only use as takeaway. As good and better than other indian restaurants food wise but again service is exceptional. Edit Have continued to use the Balti for big family meals. Exceptional food says everyone: we get a varied mix of dishes and flavours. Portions are large but everything goes. Service is better than most restaurants we go to. Recommend highly.

Fantastic fagots, peas, potato and veg, delivered to the door with a smile. What more can you want.

Visited on Sunday 9th February 2025. We had lattes and breakfast it was hot and tasted great. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Staff were smiling and polite.

Absolutely awful waited 25 mins for jacket potato with cheese and beans. Had to ask to race away in the end as had an appointment. They put it in boxes. Got to appointment 5 mix later potato rick hard Been midriwaved and looked like a slice of cheap cheese and spoon if beans 5.95 x 2. Worse food I have be given for years service so slow no wonder hardly any customers. Will not be going again.

Ordered the fish and chip meal at approx 11;45 on a Wed. Paid by card. After waiting 20 mins or so informed that it was unavailable so had cash refund. Appalling service, previous experience of f and c has been good. No scampi either! Pleasant young front of house staff but what is going on in the cooking area? An unbelieveably bad experience. Beware!

I was served by a lady called May and she was extremely welcoming and kind and even recommended the frappe to me since I was indecisive and I’m so glad it was heavenly and she got it to me incredibly quick as well. Thank you for the amazing experience

The young woman that served me was so cheerful & helpful. I had a Pesto & Tomato toastie & a cloudy lemonade. Both tasted really good but I think the drinks are way overpriced! I had half a glass of ice, if the ice wasn't there my drink would have been below the halfway line on my glass, which is such a shame, it's so good & refreshing! That's why I didn't give 5 stars! Because the service was so good I gave 4. I hope the staff get more than minimum wage!!! I use this cafe about twice a month. I travel for work & tend to use tesco cafes all over. This one is the best, light, clean, airy, good staff, just wish the air con was off today as it was cold 😊

Lovely servers and a lovely and clean cafe. I come here every week with a student and it’s always a good atmosphere and experience. The food and drink is great and the staff always know how to make you feel welcome.

Looks much bigger than it is.. aA lot of customers left before getting to the counter as there was no available sitting. All drinks served in takeaway cups as the dishwasher had broken down.

Reliable Coffee and Snacks from Costa, new Brownie Mocha was good! Service here was fairly slow for an afterwork time as only one barista taking orders and making drinks.

As business I’m always looking for accessible venues to host meetings or a stop off during long journeys. My team and I use this Costa frequently. My meetings take me all over the UK so I frequent Costa regularly due to the quality of beverage and the excellent point system. Visiting this particular Costa delivers a warm welcome in comparison to some. As company my team and I are very happy with the location, service and beverage.

I ordered a toastie they took it to warm it up. I’ve been sat down for 10 minutes as if they forgot about it. Had to ask staff for it instead of staff bringing it straight to me. When I received it , it was burnt. I only ate it because I’ve had nothing to eat all day. Not worth the money and not worth the time.

Ordered a vegetarian breakfast and was given a meat one. It was rubbery and stone cold and seemed like it had been plated up 3 days ago. I'm not fussy and easily pleased but just close your cafes down if this is all you can manage, it's an embarrassment.

If your not told they have no staff I'm told there is no food ! This has happened to me several times and I acctully stopped going in as nothing was done . However I went back in a few mths ago for a Sunday dinner at a round 1pm I was told again sorry we have no staff we are not serving Sunday dinners . I made a complaint and decided I would have fish meal . The manager Kevin came to see me and gave me a refund and apologies for the situation and offered me a free Sunday lunch another time . I took the offer and a few week later I called in for my complimentary roast the meal was dry and I have to say awful Kevin apologised again and explained some of the food does arrive pre packed and is not fresh on the day and again offered me another meal another time . We'll do e Kevin for your customer services !! Thank you .poor food morrisons shame on you sort it out .!!

Horrible quality of food, disgusting, rude and ugly staff member threatened me with security for eating a pie at the table because I had 'bought it to go'. The pie was as bad as her, dried up crusty and cold. I suspect most of the positive reviews for this place are fraudulent.

Poor quality breakfast, cold scrambled egg, rubbery mushrooms. Tables aren't cleared promptly and are left dirty. Dirty cutlery, things like milk left to run out.

Nice little cafe. I think it's resonble value for money. Staff at very friendly and very helpful. One thing is fix is the bloody supermarket loud speaker system. They keep getting feedback. It's get painful for people with sensitive hearing. (Week two hearing it now) Myself and others all wincing when the feedback cuts in! (Please get it fixed Morrison's!) Food is all hot, cutlery all clean... Great selection of drinks. I also think their setup for keeping people safe with covid is excellent to.

The food in general is very tasty. I eat here regularly with my kids and friends- very good value. The absolute best is Chicken Tikka, macaroni cheese or jacket potato. I have tried fish and chips too and cannot complaint. BUT! Please please can you train your staff better? Almost each time I visit there is a mistake in my order! Either rice given instead of chips or only whilst already sitted I am being told that whatever I've ordered isn't available! I repeat my order few times to your staff and also double check what's been entered onto the till but always the same story. Seriously out of 50 times I've visited maybe 10 orders were spot on! There are also offers on big posters around the cafe and staff have no idea how to process those offers on their tills. One day I paid over £18 for 2 adult meals, 2 drinks and 1 childs meal and another day I pointed there is an offer for 2 adult meals, 2 kids and 4 drinks for £10! Noone has informed me about this offer before and because I missed it I've ended up paying nearly twice as much. Ever since I have been reminding the staff that I'd like this offer and they then retype it on the till. This takes long time as they never very confident how to put this or any other offers/ transactions through. On many occassions I have been brought something I never ordered. I have witnessed other customer experiencing exactly the same issues! - wrong food brought, missing part of the order etc. My friends and family have complaint about this many times too. Seriously, the food is so nice but please provide better training for those that clearly cannot cope! I have been meaning to write this review long time ago but never got around to do it until now. One more thing, please can the tables be washed / wiped properly ? There is nothing worse than siiting by a dirty table where everything sticks to you. This is an absolute minimum you should do to make your customers happy. I really hope you can improve as it is a shame to be failling on basics when you have food that people enjoy! Thank you⁷

Such a friendly place in the village. We were on our way through and chose to stop after checking out the menu on line. Nice coffee and delicious food, particularly the homemade chicken curry and the ham, egg and chips. Definitely worth stopping by.

What an incredible find - they pretty much do everything sub post office shop coffees food pastries even has a booze licence. WiFi available very clean toilets absolutely amazing

This was an excellent place to stop on our ride today. The owners are so welcoming and we were treated to amazing coffee and one of the best almond croissants I’ve ever had sourced from local baker. As a cyclist this was amazing. Place to fill bottles, could leave our bikes safely and enjoy coffee, toilets and the owners said they have spares and pump etc. There is a shop too! Top notch and would highly recommend. If I’m ever in the area again I will be planning this as a stop!! Thank you

Stopped here after our ride for a coffee and croissant after reading the really positive reviews. Not only is this the most expensive croissant I bought in a while (£3.25 for the plain one, £3.85 for the almond one) but it was dry and clearly over a day old. Coffee was average. Will not be returning.

Unfortunately I found the full English breakfast bland and over priced for what it is? 2 half’s of a slice of toast with a small amount of wet mushrooms placed on one which turned the toast and the hash brown it was placed on wet, one sausage, one slice of bacon, half a tomato, a small glass of baked beans and a single fried egg. On leaving not only was my plate left empty but so was my stomach.

Had my first visit to Ashleworth Hub cafe on a cycle ride today. The coffee, cake, friendliness and service were all top notch. I will be going again soon. If you like a sweet cake, the Cappuccino Crunch is awesome :)

I don't post many reviews, but this place deserves one. Visiting from Texas. Stayed overnight at the Kozicot behind the Hub (also highly recommend to anyone looking to stay overnight). We missed the turn in Gloucester for the markets on the way here, and I'm so glad we did! Super friendly, helpful hosts. Beautiful fresh eggs, a bundle of bacon, some olive oil, along with some other things we needed, were to be found right in this little shop. Enjoyed a cold adult beverage in the warm evening sun while my two young boys filled themselves with new flavors of crisps and ice creams. I only wish we could've stayed longer!

Tiny portions of fake English fayre; the food is overpriced, the english breakfast as they caught it is tiny.You get the slice of tomato, and it's overpriced. They also seemed to believe they only footpath to access ALL the fronts of ALL the shops. They have even removed the pavement and put bollards obstructing the footpath that has been there a great many years. People believe they can come to this country and mug us off by selling us our supposed national dishes at exorbitant prices?? Do you really think we're all stupid? You serve a tiny "english" breakfast with a tiny slice of tomato. I don't think people quite understand; if I as an englishman, went to china and opened up a noodle bar, but serve them an english Pot Noodle, would that be acceptable? Why are we so mugged off in this country?? With one tomato, you'll make 5 of their breakfasts, so save your money.. don't make robber's rich, and give cambridge city council and all cambridge residents their pavement back!

Out of the ordinary decor with a slightly industrial but warm ambiance. Table service, which was efficient and friendly. Coffee was very good, with good range of sizes and types. All the trappings of a really nice cafe, but the food experience was more like a typical greasy spoon. Bargain basement cutlery and pre-ground flour-like pepper. Ordered smoked salmon scrambled eggs, which was disappointingly literally eggs on one side of the plate and ice cold chewy smoked salmon on the other, with bog standard toasted sliced bread. Scrambled eggs were overdone for my liking, being rather dry and crumbly. Seems like it has a lot of potential to be a great cafe with a bit more attention paid to the food.

What a great cafe/dessert place to have a mini break. On street parking is available (though it is limited), it is accessible by bus and there is a garden area to enjoy the outdoors whilst enjoy your food and drink. There is only one toilet nevertheless it is clean. The staff members are very nice and helpful. I had the fruit cocktail crepe with cream and I've cream with a coffee which was delicious. I would highly recommend this place!

Popped into this coffee shop today for a latte and my wife a tea, the best latte I've ever had and such a nice friendly place, reasonably priced very welcoming definitely worth a visit 🙂

Classy place

The coffee was OK but I have definitely had better. I go to this place every morning at 6 am to get my latte before work. I know the manager has left but the two young girls on in the morning (Abbie and Abbie) are so miserable and rude that I will not be returning to this Costa again. They never ever open on time and just chat to each other and keep you waiting. They really do need some training as their customer care skills are non existent.

So quick and easy to get a morning coffee using tge drive-thru, even in rush hour. I didn't have to wait long at all.

Blue Badge parking very close to the entrance. Accessibility button to open the door is still broken after reported several months ago. Very friendly staff, tho had to wait to be served. Nice coffee, clean tables. Pleasant accessible toilet, hand dryer wouldn't stay on, reported and was sorted immediately.

The location on Google maps is close but not quite right. Google maps puts Costa on a piece of wasteland next to Burger King, when in fact it's just along the canal next to the little oriental supermarket, right next to the canal. City centre side of the Greggs and Subway. So a good spot with half a dozen outside tables overlooking the canal and with a good sized car park for about twenty or so cars. The car park is well laid out, nice and level with easy access to the coffee shop and double opening doors, which is good for clients requiring easy and accessible access. The coffee shop is new, 2023 ish. When we popped in there were three members of staff; two looked somewhat confused cleaning a jug for the smoothie market whilst the other was serving at the drive-through. There was no customer welcome, no "we won't keep you..." or anything, they just carried on. It wasn't too busy and I didn't notice any tables with dead trays or cups or plates, which was good and certainly makes a change from most coffee shop 'chains' that we visit, so that was good. It appeared clean and our drinks were served promptly. We sat outside, where the tables were all clear and clean. Location is good. Atmosphere was good. Service was ok, though the staff were friendly enough. Level 9 Google reviewer; 1,000 plus reviews, 1.5 million views and over 12,000 photos with over 45 million views and still going strong 💪. Just been through the drive through here. After being stuck at home all week sick this was our first human interaction and the lady made our day. She was polite friendly and cheerful. Her colleague making the coffee behind her joned in the chat and was equally as friendly. Even my dog loved his visit here. We will be back. Quite possibly the quickest and friendliest service I've ever had at a costa

Slow & disorganised. Three people behind the counter, one seemingly not doing anything and it took me 5 minutes of standing there before being served (they did at least acknowledge me). I was asked if I was eating in (which I was) & they still proceeded to give me a plastic cup for my drink. 4 empty tables outside left with rubbish on, rubbish all on the floor outside, 3 tables empty tables inside also with the same. Costa really has gone downhill.

I ordered a ham and cheese panino which tasted nice, however it was lacklustre. It was a heated ciabatta roll, not even pressed, and on the inside there was the faint whisper of cheese and a singular slice of ham folded in half. I also ordered the seasoned fries, as no fries or sides come with the panin, which were very nice. I also purchased a can of coke, however, since the cafe is inside of Tesco I could've got a drink for cheaper by buying it from Tesco and then going in to the Cafe. I also dined in with someone and our food came out at very different times (they were almost done with their food) and I feel that more of an effort could have been made for it to be brought to our table at the same time.

What an amazing experience- impeccable customer service, gorgeous drinks (latte and hot chocolate) and fabulous food. We tried the breakfast and poached eggs on toast. I’ve previously tried the chorizo eggs which are amazing (see pic!) and would highly recommend. Excellent value for money. Wonderful staff, and will be back. Thank you !!!!!

Great staff - really friendly and helpful - and the service was efficient. Great choice of breakfast options and we were able to select exactly the items we wanted. Only exception is we couldn’t select just half an avocado as a stand alone item on the side. Food was spot on — breakfast meats were pretty lean and the sausages didn’t contain any gristle, which was great. On top of that, the cafe was clean. Can’t fault it - highly recommended.

Tesco’s caffe has very friendly staff. Always very kind and helpful. Food is great and drinks and cakes very tasty. Good for value too.

Customer service absolutely rubbish. If you have an allergy don't expect them to change an item on meal for you without an extra charge. I have been eating here for years a regime new cost hence 2 list customers. Shame on you Tesco for allowing this to happen as I can easily shop and eat elsewhere.

It's no sainsburys breakfast that's for sure. Really quite amazingly bad. They don't seem to use proper eggs for scramble and instead substitute for a weird mix packet.

Every single time I go to this cafe they are serving a limited menu. They advertise ' eggs Benedict' but have only been able to serve this once in the last seven times I've been. ABSOLUTE JOKE Go somewhere else !!!
