The coffee here is extraordinary and the atmosphere in the backyard is also very nice, a lot of people but not in a loud way, more in a family-like way. I can also recommend the hot chocolate (also in the summer), it’s amazing. The chocolate cake was very good too.
It is a one man show. The only staff take orders, prepare food and drinks. Yet he treats everyone politely! Kudos to him.
The food and drink is pretty average.
Flat white lacks coffee flavour, milk steamed the show.
Hot chocolate was fine. Had the richest chocolate drink in Melbourne, coco black.
The bread had an interesting cardamom and cinnamon flavour. Wish it was heated up for more flavour.
Choco ball was difficult to cut through. Could be richer.
Pretty good and balanced coffee. The cardamom bun was soft and sweet but lacking nuance in flavor. But if a nice cup of coffee and cozy atmosphere is what you're after, this is the place to go.
One of the best place to have your carrot cake. And cozy place to read your books. Be ready of long queue, however quick service once you place your order.
Popular coffee place. Good strong coffee, and delicious vegan cardamom cinnamon roll. The shop has a warm, rustic interior. There was a long lineup when we went and it did take some time, but it was good overall.
Coffee and pastries are great here and not too expensive. The decor looks really rustic and interesting. Near St Peter’s church.

Micro coffee roastery with tasty sandwiches and pastries. If you order filter coffee, gladly you have several options to choose you bean from. And, The best comes for last; filter coffee has one free refill right. Yoghurt bowl is recommended.
Small open air terrace has a direct access from the street, which is ideal for bikes and stollers.
Service can be a bit slow but don’t be upset because that means your food freshly made.

A very cosy and nice local cafe in Malmo where we had a wonderful and delicious breakfast.
We’ve got Benedict eggs with ham and salmon, very tasty and nicely dressed and last but not least we’ve found San Sebastian cheesecake so far from it’s origins - Spain, but it has to be admitted that the cheesecake was also very delicious. So highly recommended place.

Me and a friend tried this popular place after many recommendations from friends - and it was mid. We had a pulled pork sandwich and a avocado sandwich - both were good, but you didn’t get full at all, left you wanting more. We ordered their coffee which was okay, and I tried they homemade lemonade, which in honesty just tasted like Fanta with cinnamon. The decor is super nice and cozy, but the service was nothing special, the staff weren’t that welcoming and kinda cold.
Atrium has become one of our favorite spots for brunch, which I love to enjoy with my husband and our furry family member. I usually order the Eggs Benedict, as it’s consistently delicious, although the Hollandaise sauce can sometimes be a bit much. It tends to overpower the rest of the dish, so a lighter approach would make it even better.
I appreciate that the outdoor seating is dog-friendly, but I wish dogs were also allowed indoors, especially on cold or rainy days. It would be nice to enjoy the cozy space year-round without leaving part of the family members behind.
Overall, it’s a lovely spot with delicious food and a calm atmosphere that keeps us coming back.
Very delicious food for especially breakfast or lunch. So you can say it is brunch 🥞 Good variations of food and egg. Really enjoyed for my short malmö trip.

The place was beautiful and the outside sitting was just the best! Coffee was great too. However, the eggs benedict were more like a sunny side up and a little over cooked. It was still good and therefore the 4 stars, just not exactly what we wanted.

This place is a must visit when in Malmö.
The food is delicious and super consistent (we came here for the first time in Feb 2022).
I’d highly recommend trying a sweet and a savory dish for the perfect mix. All their smoothies are great and the beetroot latte is always a winner 🤤

Great finding, definitely one of the best smoothie bowls that I have ever had - not to mention their homemade granola, which is absolutely delicious. I am so happy we got to try this place, the reviews were very promising, and it really did not disappoint. A very cozy vibe with friendly people, definitely a place where you can come and relax, even work. Unfortunately we were here just for one day, but I would have loved to try more of their offerings, everything looked delicious. 10/10, worth checking out!
This place was absolutely amazing, they have so many delicious options, and I'm definitely gonna visit again. We had one of the pancake options and it was overwhelmingly good 🤩 3 fluffy american pancakes absolutely drenched in biscoff and hasslenut sauce, and pink whipped cream on the side - I loved everything about it. And the portion was huge, luckily I was able to get a small container for my leftovers so I could enjoy the rest at home 🥹

Delicious vegan food. Large size portions. We took the Mexican Vegan Nachos bowl and the Scramble Tofu toast. Both very well executed and flavorful. Also a large choice of drinks both cold and warm. Worth the visit
Fully vegan cafe. Friendly staff, reasonable prices & tasty food & drinks with great presentation. I had the avocado hummus toast & scrambled tofu. To drink I had an iced late. If I ever visit Malmo again I will go back 🙂

Everything up to standard. Delicious, healthy, and hearty meals. Great atmosphere, wonderful service, 5 stars all the way. Cake here everyday of my trip to Malmo. Tried everything, loved it all, with one exception: their oats. Even without the agave syrup that it normally comes with as per request, it was so sweet I thought my glycogen stores would go through the roof. Oats aside, everything here is a hit. Love it and recommend it. 🇨🇭👍🍉

Nice little cafe and wine bar in a quiet location, albeit in the pedestrian zone. Indoors and outdoors seating. We went for a quick lunch. Poached eggs / avocado sandwich and a caprese salad. Freshly made. Nice.

Came here for a quick drink and bite to eat. Had latte and bacon and cheese croissant and slice of cake. Very tasty. There are a few tables inside and then quite a few tables outside with heaters. We wanted inside due to the cold weather. Nice ambience and nice food.

Boulebar is not just a place for playing petanque, it's also a cocktail bar with a small but well-crafted selection of drinks. You can enjoy cocktails like the Angelique Papon and the Pommango Spritz while trying your hand at up to eight outdoor lanes of varying difficulty levels. The staff can guide you in the finer points of the French game, and there are French-inspired food and drinks available.
This was such a fun place. I came here for a large work dinner which included a game of boule. The service is excellent, very attentive and patient staff. The cocktails were really good as well. My favourite had tequila and passion fruit in it as it was sweet and fruity. The boule game was quite fun, though I probably would only do two rounds at most and spend more time socializing by the bar.

Great food, nice (but maybe a bit slow) personell, we had to wait 15 minutes to start playing (out of our allocated 90 minutes), unfortunately extremely noisy (since our dining table was right next to the playfields).

Great place, nice weekend event and in general a very good experience. It was not nice to wait in a queue for food for 40 minutes to get one of the dishes, though. The staff should be more aware and help each other. If this issue was resolved I would give more stars, but it wasn’t, and I used 40 minutes waiting in a queue. That’s a blemish on an otherwise well planned event.

I went for a work event.
The food was delicious. We had a two course menu: the starter was a fruit salad with chilli and cheese that worked really well; the main was stuffed chicken with potato salad. The drinks were good too! They had my favourite non- alcoholic beer 🍺 . Special thanks to Gustav, who managed the many of us with calm and made sure the service runned smoothly. After dinner, we played Pétanque. The space is really big, and the guys who explained the game were friendly, funny, and passionate about the game. We had a lot of fun. Definitely recommended 👌
Great ambience! Learnt a new game Boule! Nice place for team activities and big groups...service was a bit slow but food was good! It works well with a package deal on food drinks and a fame of boule. They have both indoor and outdoor eating and playing options!

Great concept in a fab setting and ambiance. You can choose inside or outside if weather permits. We had the Sunday brunch, very nice combo of menu selection and buffe. The dessert options are really nice.
Staff is attentive and explains very well both the Petanque game as well as the brunch concept.
Book in advance is a must and a tip, play first, eat after..
The playing fields are great, very hard and challenging, you can easily bring all the kids with you or just an adult game with beer and wine at court side.
Make it a Sunday activity its worth the money, as in most businesses in Sweden nowadays its a non cash establishment.

Ruths, formerly known as Bastard, has transformed into a charming all-day deli and restaurant in Malmo. The establishment now offers extended opening hours and a delightful selection of house-made preserves, charcuterie, bread, and pastries. The menu features European a la carte dishes for both lunch and dinner, with options for small and larger plates. Ruths also serves as an incubator for talented chefs who have gone on to open their own successful restaurants in the area.
Had the summer tasting menu here last week and it was my favourite meal I had while in Sweden! Love how unpretentious and just deliciously executed the food was - and presentation was spot on as well! The pavlova was phenomenal! Thanks for a great meal 😊.

Michelin recognised Ruths offers the most intentional food from summer to autumn dishes, nothing will disappoint! The sausage was well cooked and the smashed potatoes were smooth and salted to perfection! The fish was light and flaky. To finish off, you must treat yourself with a raspberry tart danish!😋 The location is cozy and unique, transporting you in another era: they slice and serve the bread in front of you 🤩 The service polite and welcoming.

Good value for money but the most important.
EXTRAORDINARY flavours of the dishes. Greatly balanced very compact dishes. Open kitchen - so you see the madness behind the scene and the exhausting pace that doesn’t allow to compromise on the quality of the food.
Good cocktails. Classics very well executed - local gin martini was a good experience!
Next day morning happened it was open with different atmosphere - so popped in and had great pastry and coffee.
On my TO DO list to visit next time I am in Malmo.
Went there for breakfast. Great quality of food and good portions size for the price. Friendly service by the staff and the restaurant seems quite popular amongst the locals and the tourists.
The place looks great, pity the logic got lost on the way.
We showed up as a big group, and apparently that meant we had to order the set menu. Fine. But when we asked what’s actually on it, the answer was: “It’s a surprise.” A surprise! Because who doesn’t love gambling with religious dietary restrictions?
So there we were, playing culinary roulette until the plates arrived. To keep the mood intact, we switched to vegetarian menus. The food? Genuinely tasty, no complaints there.
Then came the bill. Surprise number two: vegetarian meals cost the same as meat ones. When we asked why, the response was pure poetry: “It is what it is.” Translation: don’t ask questions, just pay up. We ended up paying SEK 650 for some salad, beans and pavlova PER PERSON!
Looks like the only real set menu here is: Confusion for starters, Frustration for mains, and a Side of Silence when you ask for explanations. 🤷🏻♀️
Excellent food and service! Ordered the terrine, crab tarte, cod, and guinea fowl. Good portions, excellent cook and flavors.
Their bread is incredible, and the staff are amazing. I had my baguette sandwich in a local museum, where I learned that they make their sandwiches with bread from Ruths. I got some loaves (so delicious!) for home on my last day in Malmo as I didn’t have a chance to sit down and order any food there. Highly recommended. 💛💙

Very nice place! The lunch menu was small, but everything we had was absolutely delicious 😋 The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We brought our dog and sat outside — no problem at all. Really appreciated the relaxed and kind atmosphere. Will definitely come back!

Small, but nice café. Not a huge variety of baked goods and other food, but you’re likely to find something you like.
I just got a coffee and a croissant. The pastry was freshly made. The coffee maybe a bit on the weaker side. Both were rather good overall though.
There aren’t a lot of seats on ground level. They do have places downstairs, and on a sunny day you can sit just outside or across the street in a little park.
Adorable coffee shop with excellent service! Came here to grab lunch and had a delicious sandwich with lemongrass tea. The two people working were very kind and created a really lovely environment to spend lunch and read my book.

The food is rustic and wholesome. Limited menu but they are great at what they produce. For instance their turmeric latte blend is hand blended by Imran himself.

I ordered a grilled bread with egg and roasted tomatoes (according to the menu) for around 140 SEK. I was disappointed with how thin the bread was, that there was no tomatoes and the amount of food I was served for 140. The food is overpriced. Their coffee is fine.
Lovely place with great atmospehere both inside and outside. The staff was really friendly. The espresso was well done but I didnt like the beans they use, I thought it gave the espresso a little sour aftertaste (personal preference). Kanelbullen was the best I have ever had. Usually this place is really full but if you have opportunity you should really give it a chance. One of Malmös better caffè.

Rarely do I review on the spot but this cafe deserves it. Love the fruity bryggkaffe, plus the buttery croissant with its neatly layered crispy crust is to die for, and I said this having been to France many times. I appreciate the friendly service too
Wonderful café in every way! Their almond croissant is so good, I have never had better. The cappuccino was just right on the portion, taste, and of course with latte art. The bread with simple cheese was great as well. They bake the bread and pastries onsite in the back. The restaurant is minimalist style. I love the simple cement counter with high chairs. There were not so many chairs and the shop is got quite a number of customers coming for sitting in or take away. I'd turn a regular, if I would live in the area.
Great coffee taste, amazing bean quality!!! Usually I add some sweeteners to drink my coffee, but I did not have to use any on my capuccino, because its taste was soooo good! Also, the baked goods were very tasty! Only slight negative is the lack of character in the design/decoration, as it felt pretty empty and dull while sitting inside.
I'm not sure what kind of theme and ambiance they are trying to achieve. The music in the coffee shop make you feel like in a church.
The staff is rarely smiley and gives the impression that working there is not fun.

The staff were lovely and attentive, despite it being quite busy. The space though is not very cozy, and I wish I had liked the coffee a bit more! The kokostopp, however, was nice, and the rest of the pastries looked good too. I will try to give it another chance since everyone else seems to love it here.

We come for great coffee and a nice atmosphere - it’s a safe and open environment with anti-racism merchandise for sale! We felt at home here coming from Sydney, and it’s a great spot to pull up a seat by the window! Be prepared to drink coffee standing if you come in a peak period (Italian style)

We had a great experience at this sandwich spot in Möllan! We ordered one pork sandwich, one vegetarian sandwich, plus hummus and fries. Everything was really delicious and the portions were generous. The sandwiches were packed with fresh ingredients and full of flavor, and the hummus was creamy and well-seasoned.
We sat outside, which was cosy and relaxing. The staff were friendly and welcoming with smiling faces. They did forget one of the sandwiches at first, but when we reminded them, they quickly apologized and brought it out without any fuss.

We had a nice experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and the portions were large. We tried the fish and chips, salmon with potatoes, the halibut and the oysters which were fresh and very tasty.
However, as tourists, we found it a bit challenging to understand the menu, as it was written only in Swedish on a blackboard, with no English translation. The waiter recommended using Google Translate, but also assisted us with the translation of dishes whenever we had questions.
Overall, a great meal with fantastic flavors—definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area!

Johan P in Malmö was lovely place to kick off the Christmas spirit! My husband and I visited the night before Christmas Eve and had their special Julbord på isat fat. The The seafood spread was delicious and included five types of herring, Janssons temptation, gravlax with egg and löjrom, two lobsters, Smögen shrimp, green mussels, oysters, langoustines, rouille and herb sauce, and more. We finished our meal with Ris à la Malta, which was a delightful festive treat.
We spent around 3,000 SEK, including drinks, and it was definitely worth it. The food was exceptional, and the atmosphere felt cozy. However, I’m giving a rating of 4 out of 5 stars because the table we were seated at was too close to the neighboring one, especially near the window, making it feel a bit cramped. Additionally, we had to seek out the staff's attention since they were busily attending to other areas of the restaurant and were not as attentive to our table.
Despite these minor issues, it’s still a wonderful dog-friendly place, and I highly recommend it for a seafood meal!
We visited Johan P last Sunday for their brunch (395 kr per person), and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming.
The meal started with fresh sourdough bread and an impressive seafood platter, beautifully presented with mussels, crayfish, and shrimp on the top layer. This was followed by a variety of flavorful dishes – Skagen stir-fry, crayfish stir-fry, mustard herring, fried herring, salmon in different preparations, eggs, and more. Every bite felt fresh and perfectly seasoned.
Next came their fish and chips which we difficult to eat more because already full.
We finished with a sweet selection of desserts, fresh fruit, and coffee, which was the perfect ending to the feast.
By the end, we were happily full and very satisfied. The quality of the food and the attentive staff made it a memorable experience.
In total, we spent 1 200 kr for two persons, and it was worth every krona. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy top-quality seafood in Malmö.
This was my first visit to sweden for work. At the suggestion of my coworkers, I walked the few km from the hotel to johan p. I was greeted by a friendly host. I ordered the rose fish and some sparkling water and sat outside to enjoy the cool air. Waiter came out promptly with the water and some bread and we talked a bit. Waiter returns with a shrimp salad and swedish caviar on toast dish. I did not order this but it was very kind and very good. Tangent, I was showing my coworker pics of the food when I got back and he stopped me on the shrimp salad and said that he loves that dish and it was a good choice. Ok, back to main post. Rose fish comes out. I've never had rose fish before but was intrigued by the name. Seared rose fish on carrot puree and I believe pork belly on top. It was very good. I was not aware, but if you didn't find something on the menu, they have a fish market inside and will cook you something from there. Loved this place. If work ever sends me to sweden again, or if I'm there for vacation, definitely going back
It was a recommendation from friendly locals on the train and definitely is a hidden gem, on a quiet side street in the centre of Malmö. You might need to wait for a table around dinner time (19:00/20:00) unless you had a reservation - we were lucky and a bit earlier than 19:00. Lovely service, not rushed, attentive. Food was delicious, unbelievably creamy tuna and tasty herring as a starter. Definitely a very strong recommendation to visit in Malmö.

Had a very good slice of cake (Tårtbit) with a very good tasting choco bottom and cream. Loved it. The chocolate ball was exquisite.

Such a beautiful place! Even though it was really crowded (Saturday afternoon) and there was quite a line at the counter, seats were available in the huge cafè. It still feels really cozy because it’s not one big room, but rather many small ones which creates a really nice atmosphere.
Unfortunately they ran out of shrimp sandwiches right before it was our turn, but we took the salad instead which was probably even better, as it was like a bowl with lots of fresh ingredients :)
It’s a very nice coffee shop with sort of a ‘royal’ vibe. Quite busy, I must say. They have different filter coffees on offer which you can pour for yourself and multiple times. Which is quite nice. The scones were fresh and delicious too. Overall, a very good experience.
5-STAR! It is a beautiful patisserie at the middle of Malmö. Sarah Bernhardt… Outside is crunchy, inside is full of taste with smooth texture. I can’t even describe the feeling that I get from these desserts. It is above my expectations. Definitely deserves 5 star, even more! Passion fruit one was also soft and tasty. I’m sure you can try all the desserts they have without hesitation!
Great place to grab a bite to eat or some cake! The line moves quick - make sure to grab a number!! Ask the staff to tell you about gluten free, they had lots of options including this delicious meringue cake!
The cakes and pastries were incredible, and were very well presented, eg strawberry tart.
However we were disappointed by the iced matcha, which we found to be gritty and full of lumps. Nevertheless, staff were lovely and the cakes again, to emphasise, were very tasty.
A beautiful café with extra seating in the back that isn't immediately visible from the outside. Their cakes are amazing! We tried the Princess Cake (Prinsesstårta) and a chocolate cake—both were freshly made and absolutely delicious. The coffee was excellent as well, and you can even purchase their roasted beans to enjoy at home. I can’t recommend this place enough!
The café looks nice, but it’s not very friendly for English-speaking visitors. They use a number system for ordering, but there are no signs or explanations in English. The system itself is simple, but no one tells you to take a number, and they only call the numbers in Swedish — so if you don’t speak the language, you won’t know when it’s your turn. Some of the staff also don’t understand English, which makes things more confusing. A bit more effort to communicate would really help.

It has become one of the most popular meeting places for both locals and visitors, boasting a cosmopolitan vibe. Located just 50 meters from Lilla Torg Square in central Malmo, MJ's offers free WiFi and rooms with modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs.
We stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a wonderful experience.
The rooms were clean, beautiful, and well-equipped with a fridge, hairdryer, and iron—everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were especially comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. There was no kettle in room but you could go to the bar and request hot water, coffee and tea.
Breakfast was a highlight; astonishing dining area , delicious food and varied options.
The hotel’s location is also very convenient. It’s just a 10-minute walk from central train station and less than 5min to the old town.
Definitely recommended staying in here and looking forward to coming back soon.

A lovely boutique hotel right in the middle of the old part of downtown. Very quirky decor but it really has its style. Incredibly friendly staff. Our room was among the smallest (the booking allows you to choose based on room size), facing the backstreet. It was cosy and comfortable, and I had a really good night’s sleep. The breakfast was really amazing, including the bread coming from next door’s specialty store Ruth’s. All in all, it is hard to ask for more!
Honestly, I cannot speak highly enough of MJ's and my experience there. For one, it is a lovely hotel with stylish comfortable rooms and a great breakfast in a good location, but what really set it apart was the care and attention to detail of the staff. I emailed in advance about it being my girlfriend's birthday during our stay, and they went the extra mile to make it special. I would 100% stay there again and I would 100% recommend to friends, family or anyone else considering staying there!

From the moment we stepped into MJ’s, we knew we were somewhere special—but it was Room 202 that truly stole our hearts. The atmosphere felt more local and authentic than anywhere else we stayed in Sweden. With the French doors that opened above the main entrance, we had the perfect perch to watch the city’s rhythm—cobblestone streets alive with energy, laughter drifting up from the streets below. It felt like stepping into the past and the present all at once. I couldn't help but imagine my ancestors walking those very same streets 200 years ago.
The room itself was enormous—airy, stylish, and welcoming. The bathroom was especially spacious, with clean lines and thoughtful touches. Even the flamingo that stared me down from its perch above the toilet made me laugh—it was quirky and memorable in the best way.
Breakfast? Absolutely phenomenal. We still talk about it. The variety, quality, and presentation were on par with some of the best dining experiences we had on the entire trip. And the staff? So attentive, so warm—genuinely kind people who made us feel like we belonged there.
Everything we needed was within walking distance—shops, restaurants, and beautiful little corners of the city. But truthfully, once we landed at MJ’s, we barely wanted to leave. Next time, Room 202 will be our base of operations for exploring more of Malmö and the Skåne countryside. Thank you, MJ’s, for making our trip unforgettable.
I came in this hotel for lunch. The food is very good. With the dagen lunch the main course was served with salad & focaccia and coffee & sweet bakery.
The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. The location is superb, but you absolutely have to earn your customers that this hotel transforms into a nightclub in the weekend evenings, with the risk of keeping you awake until past 1 in the night. We had requested a quiet room, but we got a room on the ground floor with the extremely loud music keeping us awake, when we wanted to sleep. If it was coming from another nightclub or something not in this hotels control it would be understandable, but it felt particularly bad being kept awake by your own host. We had a super friendly interaction with the staff afterwards, who refunded us a night for our inconvenience. Hoping to stay again and update our review in the future <3

3.5 stars :) Have been meaning to sit and try this cafe for so long! It was a pleasant experience. Small, cosy and quiet, with a few tables and large window panels. My cappuccino was good, and the cardamom roll also had a bit of Almond paste inside, making it even juicier and softer. It looks like they offer a large array of beverages and baked goods, and also offer at a discounted price frozen bread from the day before to reduce food waste!

I just want to say that Grannen never disappoints with the variety and quality of the food.

This place is really cute, a bit confusing if it’s your first time here (which was the case for us). You walk in thru the main dining area into another room where you order from the counter…I personally found the ordering options a bit confusing. We tried the scones and croissants and I had the breakfast pie which comes with a side of salad. The food was good, the berry scone especially was everyone’s favorite at our table. There are vegan options & lots of healthy options. The vibes are casual & laid back! Service was good. Indoor & outdoor dining available.
I came without knowing anything and they have a all you can eat brunch, it was veggie/vegan and completely delicious. The service is great and the stuff is always shining and smiling. They made a perfect sunday morning for me.
Went there, paid for brunch, sat down to work and when I went out to get brunch, they had already put it away without saying anything. I managed to get a few pieces of salad and some cold pancakes. They neither reimbursed me or gave me a free voucher, saying that "I should know how brunch works".

Cute little bar in old Limhamn neighbourhood.
I entered the bar thinking of having a coffee after lunch. When I approached the counter to order, a variety of pastries caught my eye. I couldn't resist trying the strawberry cake.
The coffee pot was nearby for self-service, choosing one of the vintage cups on the buffet. I choose the pink flowered one, to combine with the cake 😁.
The bartender explained to me that the coffee cup could be refilled as often as I wanted, within the payment made.
At lunchtime, the place was full, with most people eating lunch, soup, sandwiches and other food. Most of the chairs were near the window overlooking the street, the best choice if you go alone.
If you are around the area, take a visit there. You won’t be disappointed.

Cute café, pleasant vibe with calm music in background. They had lots of old mismatched coffee cups and you can choose which one you want, thought that was charming. They didnt have espresso and the coffee was so-so. The tosca was good, but nothing special. Decor is cool with a great mix between old vintage and modern aesthetics. Lots of places to sit both inside and outside. Some stuff to play with for children. The most cozy cafétoilet in Malmö? I would come again but mostly because of the vibe/decor.

This small café became my favourite coffee place in Malmö. They offer very good and quite interesting selection of coffee beans from different brands around the world. We liked their Ethiopian espresso and really enjoyed and savoured 2 types of V60 - one was from the German brand The Barn and the other was from a Polish brand that I cannot remember the name(so if you guys are reading this, please let me know what was the name), but the coffee had been fermented in wine barrels, thus the coffee had striking rumy taste. And it was a real pleasure to converse with the nice lady behind the bar.

It is conveniently situated just a few minutes' walk from the central station and within easy reach of shopping, restaurants, and attractions. The hotel also boasts a big fitness center for guests to enjoy.
I stayed here only a night and it was very fantastic. Location is great, very near to the city center and there are a lot of interesting things to see around the hotel.
The breakfast is great with lots of food variety and it was very delicious.
The room is very clean and well-designed- only downside is the shower is pretty small (but fine).
The hotel is pet-friendly and the staff are kind, friendly and efficient.
Overall very positive experience here and I will stay here again when we visit Malmö.

The location is very good, no doubt about that. What I appreciated the most, though, was the breakfast – honestly, it’s fantastic. There's everything you could want, both sweet and savory, and it's truly satisfying. The breakfast area is also really pleasant and well-kept.
What I didn’t like so much were the rooms, which I found a bit outdated and not perfectly clean. Another thing I didn’t appreciate was the lack of air conditioning – it’s quite hard to regulate the temperature, and for a hotel of this level, especially with climate change, that’s really hard to understand.
The morning buffet is exceptional! You will find all you wish for :) the rooms are comfy, view amazing. You do spend a lot of time waiting for and inside the elevator. Staff is helpful. Liked it, and it’s situated in the center.

Good quality rooms,well maintained. The building itself is pretty boring and rigid looking but the inside is nice and spacious, and served a very good buffé, with a very wide range to chose from. The service was great, for breakfast. The service up on the rooftop bar was almost nonexistent when we came. Waited and no-one served us. The elevators were taking forever to come and u also had to figure out that one elevator was only for rooftop bar, as well as u had to beep the card before pressing any button, didn't see any Indications for that. I suppose a large building g like that has some unavoidable logistics issues.
Our family of three spent three nights in a superior room of this four star hotel, well situated in relation to interesting places in Malmö. We experienced at least seven mishaps during our stay most probably due to inexperienced personnel. The room was booked for three but there were only towels for two, soap dispensers were empty and when ordering refills it took 45 min before someone showed up, our filled breakfast plates were repeatedly removed and our table given to other guests etc, etc. Trying to book a table in their top floor restaurant via the reception was impossible even two days in advance but when taking the elevator to the 25th floor there was place available. The superior rooms are dull and simple with basic equipment. You have to take your shower in the bath tub without anti slip pattern, not so good for older folks who also prefer a long to a short shoe horn. Breakfast is matching the start rating without any surprises. If you come by car you should park in the nearby city garage rather than in the parking under the hotel, about twice as expensive. Overall a mixed and not reassuring experience.

All on a background of soft jazz, that doesn’t dominate the atmosphere. The staff is kind and accommodating, they accept cash and broke a big bill for me. The food prices are reasonable for the area. I base all of this on my first impressions after a short visit. I wonder if they serve a good hot chocolate? Ps. I am a Dane living in Malmö.

Ok, I visited this place twice. Sunday evening and Monday morning. Coffee both times was excellent. 👌🏽 however both shifts the stuff was arrogantly-relaxed, if I may call it so. Slightly not caring and when I asked for specifics of the coffee they had no clue of what I’m asking for. One can see that the owners care for a good coffee experience, but the stuff doesn’t. Also the tables and shelves and books and all the decorations were dusty and sticky both time. My pancakes were not cooked inside and the stuff offered me a croissant 🥐 instead. So overall, a place to take your coffee to go, since at least the main product is still very good.

Mormors in Malmö is one of those chains where you hardly get what you pay for. And this Mormors is no different. The prices are low but so is the quality. For some reason connected with Lidl next door. The staff is not unfriendly but just like everything else the service is kept to a absolute minimum. Östra kaffebaren is a great coffee shop next to Värnhemstorget. They serve great coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. Östra kaffebaren also sells freshly roasted coffee beans and have their own signature blend.
This coffee shop is well worth a visit for coffee and a pastry but also for the art pieces/photographs that are on display. During spring and summer there is also outside seating.

I’ve visited MJ in Malmö a few times, and I’m finally leaving a review because each visit just keeps getting better! One of the main reasons we keep coming back is the atmosphere. MJ truly has one of the best interiors in Malmö, with high ceilings, gorgeous plants, beautiful furniture, and just a wonderful vibe overall.
Then, of course, there’s the food. They’ve updated their menu since our last visit, now focusing on starters and mid-sized portions. We tried a variety of dishes, like beef tartar, fish, and some vegetarian options. Everything was delicious, well-cooked, and made with high-quality ingredients.
Lastly, the service is always top-notch. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always with a smile, which makes the experience even better.
I definitely recommend MJ for anyone looking for a great meal and a fantastic ambiance in Malmö!
Such a beautiful seating area and the staff is amazing. I requested a special cake slice for my husband’s birthday and the staff went over and above to make his day special. Really happy with this place. And the focaccia was to die for.
This is so far the highlight of Malmö food experience for me! The staff were the friendliest! The food, wine and dessert were awesome in quality, albeit medium size bites for which the staff also suggest you to take two per person or share! Highly recommend this place! We decided to check out this café after hearing great reviews from friends in the city.
They have an outdoor seating and an indoor space on the first level. After a bit of wait in the queue, ordered Dark Chocolate Cheesecake and Pecan Cheesecake to go as we had a train to catch. A slice of their cheesecake can be devoured by 2 as the portion is large. Loved the dark chocolate one as it wasn’t overly sweet. The Pecan cheesecake was good too but a tad sweet for my liking.

Famous for its cheesecakes and OMG well deserved reputation. I took the Daim cheesecake which is a game changer, while causing sugar rush of course. Its a huge slice, perfectly baked, generously topped with Daim and hazelnut cream. Free water is available downstairs, which you will definitely need throughout this sweet journey. It costs 80 SEK, which is nothing compared to the experience! Don't miss it when you are in Malmö, just as good as Cheesecake Factory;)
Update - April 2024: we arrived around 6 pm, and they did not have Daim cheesecake anymore so I decided to try the strawberry brownie cheesecake. OMG it was massive, 1 slice definitely feeds 2 adults. The crust is also made of brownie or some chocolate stuff, the cheesecake part is amazing still, and they topped it with huge chunks of brownies, strawberries and chocolate. It could be too much for some people but for me it was just phenomenal 😊

took my mom here for a fika. there is indoor and outdoor seating with pastries, coffee, etc. ambiance isn't the coziest but there's plenty of space.
we tried the wienerbröd frukt (40sek) which had raspberries and custard. this pastry was tasty and a nice change from cardamom heavy swedish pastries. this pastry was also flaky which i enjoyed.
Been here several times. I like Katarina, and this café is no exception. Cozy atmosphere. Great cake and good coffee/espresso. Staff is always friendly. Excellently placed near the big shopping street and Triangeln.
Super cozy café/ bakery with the usual baked goods you would get in a swedish bakery. The pastries looked all very delicious and the one I tasted definitely were. Great place for a fika or just for a coffee. They also have a couple of gluten-free options (most of them contain oats though). And also oatmilk to enjoy a vegan coffe!
During our trip to Malmo, we came to this café several times as they offer lovely freshly baked pastries which all look so amazing. Their coffee is top quality, too. All fairly priced.

This Malmö franchise of Espresso House was one the largest we visited whilst holidaying in Copenhagen and Malmö. The Cappuccino was great and the space available to relax and unwind was perfect. However, be warned there is only one toilet for the entire cafe, which was crazy for a shop of this size. It was fairly quiet when we visited and yet there were still queues to use the facilities....
Other than that it's a great coffee house in and great location.

Enjoyed an americano and a chokladbollar on a very rainy Saturday in this cozy Espresso house. The coffee was great, the chokladbollar was one of the best things I ate in Sweden and the atmosphere was very nice. There is a lot of seating inside and it is a great space to work, study, and spend time with others while enjoying delicious food and coffee. I would highly recommend!

Despite the limited seating, the friendly staff and delicious pastries make it worth a visit. The seasonal pastry, semla, and chocolate ball are highly recommended. Their pastries with strawberries are a must-try as they complement the spices perfectly.

During my recent travels, I stumbled upon Waynes Coffee, a charming café nestled conveniently near my Airbnb in Malmo. This delightful spot offers a cozy atmosphere where you can savor an array of beverages like their delicious caramel latte and refreshing peach iced tea. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating, even crafting off-menu drinks with ease.
At Waynes coffee you can buy coffee, tea, cakes and a small selection of sandwiches. Yoy can enjoy sitting both inside or outside.
Prices are OK, service is fine and we enjoyed a good cup of coffee and our cakes here.

Wonderful coffee, wonderful location, wonderful vibe. Extremely friendly staff was kind throughout the whole process. It’s a cozy place with tasty and light vegan food. The smoothie bowl was a pretty large portion, nice amount of peanut butter, fruits were fresh. It’s just a little chaotic when it comes to the service but I guess it’s a result of a large number of orders.
The chocolate cake was dense, sweet and thick. I liked it 😃 the size was OK to feel satisfied. Coffee was OK. Yes, I’d go there to try something else.

Super convenient for folks using the central train station. Drinks, sandwiches, pastries, and breads all ready quickly to be eaten in or taken away. After arriving on a morning train we enjoyed lunch on the outdoor terrace and brought pastry with us for the rest of our day. As we were departing Malmö we used the St. Jakobs inside the train station to get a snack before going to the track. To be clear, this would be a good bakery even if it weren't so convenient to the train station, but it's an amazing option for travelers!

Cozy little old school bakery. You can absolutely fika here but I would guess most don't. Even though in summer it might be cozy to sit outside. Decor is a bit cluttered/chaotic but I found it charming and felt very at home even though it was small. Coffee was from machine, but I have had worse. Cake was delicious, really good, not overly sweet. Also bought a bread and marzipan pig head. Both were fine, would buy again if I was in neighborhood (but nothing special).

Klättercentret Malmo is a popular bouldering gym with a good selection of walls and multiple payment options for convenience. The staff is attentive, and there's cheap food in the cafeteria. The gym offers lots of space, different grades, and regular wall updates. It also features a cool cafe, loaner shoes, various levels of tracks, and a cozy sauna. However, it can get crowded in the evenings.
This place is awesome! I’ve been going there 2-3 times a week for a while and i love it. The atmosphere is delightful and it feels like home when I arrive. Staff is super friendly and caring. One guy recommended me to buy a shoe that was cheaper than the one I was looking at proving that staff cares a lot about the people rather than money. They have a variety of clothes there and a lot of equipment both for outdoors climbing, indoors climbing and at home training. The cafe is also nice, not expensive and very pleasant to eat, especially at the cafe lounge they have. Love the gym too, very nice and I love the variety. A lot of different attachments and boards for finger training etc. The walls are also amazing, they get changed frequently enough to notice a change aswell as having new routes to climb almost every time you go there but also keeping every newly changed route for a bit, long enough to project it. Big variety in route styles and difficulty with 3’s to 8a (highest difficulty I’ve seen so far, I’m sure there is harder at different times) Highly recommend to check it out atleast once. Great for kids too. Lastly I’d like to say that the community is extraordinarily great. I’ve gotten so much help through the months when struggling with routes that I couldnt climb. People just step forward and give you tips or help on new techniques that you’ve never heard of. I’m far more experienced now because of the people that have helped me spontaneously. Always keep in mind to help others and to be nice to everyone! 10/10🙏

Best bouldering in Malmö. Multiple options for payment for tour convenience, staff that cares, cheap food in the cafeteria for that extra energy on a long session or just the awesome café for the non-climbing friend or partner. Walls are updated at an excellent pace for projecting but still having new things each week. A good shop for apparel and shoes, although that part is a bit more expensive, you can test shoes (not on the walls but there's a small chip board and sometimes they have shoe testing days on the wall). They're also opening a place in Helsingborg which is perfect for me. Picture is just a sample of one feature - there are 3 climbing halls with all types of climbing.

Gateau is not as cozy as some café chains but the quality of cake, espresso and drinks are better than espressohouse in my opinion. This place is nicely located near several buss stops. Decor is pretty standard but with a nicer layout than the Gateau at Triangeln. Has a toilet. Unlike at Triangeln where you would perhaps want to stay near the train station there really isnt much reason to stay here instead of the many nice cafés nearby.
They open at 7 on weekdays which is hard to find in this city. Food and coffee is always great, based on +30 visits, and the staff are SMILING and very service minded, even in the busy hours. Always good. Improvement could be if they added some new bread/foods for early breakfast. But the regular menu is variated and you can sit outside in the summer which is a plus.
