The 15 best breakfast and brunch in Trento

A nice place for a one-night visit in late March. Simple rooms and basic but pleasant breakfast. Easy location from the train station and close to the center.

The ladies do not like to help you. Money is important. Not the guest. As guest, you're not respected and not seen. In the evening is said that the breakfast will be at 7:30. In the morging you have to wait until 8:30 before it's available. The B&B provides modern rooms with private bathrooms and simple storage space. Very small are the rooms. Some of the sheets of the bed have yellow stains and hairs on them. The property also features a coffee shop and the possibility for lunch and diner. And it lays close to the old part of the city.

When I showed up on a Sunday, the proprietors weren't around, and at first I was irritated, but I phoned and they were quick to respond. It turns out I'd booked the wrong date, but they showed up and got me a room anyway. So kudos for the top-notch, friendly service. Location is about four blocks from the train station on a leafy, quiet street, very pleasant. The room was really small but very clean. Lots of steps to get up there, but they do have a stair chair that goes to the second floor. Price was a little high for what I got. Small continental breakfast came with the room, and included a custom coffee prepared by the barista.

Sadly the portable AC wasn't working quite good due to the high temperatures, so the room got really hot.

We were there for lunch. The service was friendly, but there were a few mistakes and my wife was left hungry. But the waitresses were very friendly, tried to make up for it and didn't end up charging for the wrong dish. Mistakes happen.

Used to come here quite often, eating alone or with family. Quality of service was always variable depending on whose shift it was, ranging from friendly with a smile to downright rude. Quality of food was quite good. The last and final time I was here, I asked for a warm dish and a glass of water. I was alone. Instead of bringing the usual 0.5Liter water bottle, I was brought a 1L bottle which was opened in front of me before I could object. I found it odd, but didn't comment; why would a single person need a 1L bottle?. When I left, most of the water remained, and because I could use the water later the afternoon, I told them I'm taking the bottle. I was told that's impossible because they have a water service and need to return the bottle. Consider they recognized us, and that we were customers for years, even before the switch to the current location; I was amazed. I told them I'll return the bottle the next day, which I did. They regained the bottle and lost a customer. This all happened a long time ago, but I see many people complain about the service, and I hope someone from the restaurant reads this.

We just arrived in Trento and asked our host where we could get lunch and they suggested here. This charming restaurant which is part of an Inn has front and back patio seating. We were given a tapas menu which featured some very interesting items. Ended up ordering grilled shrimp wrapped in very thin noodles with spicy Thai red pepper sauce, lamb skewers, and carne tartare wrapped around cream cheese with balsamic reduction. It sure fit our cravings for something entirely different! And there’s an enoteca called “La Despensa” (owned by the Inn) that you can purchase wine from across the street just by asking them to open the shop for you. The wines are high quality, both local and other Italian regions with a terrific selection.

Perfect recharge place for both physical and electrical energy. One of the few restaurants in Trento with kitchen open in the afternoon if you happen to bike there late. Tasty traditional dishes, nice vegetarian options and always refreshing beverages !

Great place nearby Trento Airport and the Aeronautical Museum. It's got a lot to offer that can be noticed by the amount of visitors on busier days and weekends. Tasty coffee and refreshing drinks, fast and friendly service, and a decent playground for children makes the stay here comfortable.

I was told by a local that Italians don't really do breakfast so it was tough trying to find a good breakfast joint. That's why I'm happy I stumbled upon this café's breakfast spontaneously and it was a great decision! Loved their pancakes with bacon and eggs. Even the orange juice served with the breakfast menu is delicious. Will come again!

This place is very nice! The staff is also lovely and spoke in english with us. I had a beer and a focaccia. The beer was so good and I was surprised with the appetizers that came together, I wasn't expecting that at all! The focaccia was also good, but nothing especial. I'd definitely recommend this place. Great hospitality with an attentive offerings of not only baked goods, bread, and also wine. It is a perfect micro example (to many Italian cities) on how bistrots or eateries can be platforms to showcase the excellence of regional food ingredients. I have tried the romanas (tray baked pizzas), croissants, breads, and their single portion cakes (with buckwheat and hazelnuts)...and all testify to the owner's drive for excellence and quality! And they have a good selection of wine from regional producers...the recommended Manzoni Bianco was impressive, considering it is on the wines by the glass menu. Last and not least, a very cordial, knowlegeable, and efficient waiting team. It truly makes me want to return to Trento!

Super cute and restful lunch spot! There are amazing sandwich’s and lasagna. There is a park a few meters from the outdoor tables so if you want your kids to have a chance to play while you eat it’s fantastic! Staff were super kind and helpful.

Panificio Moderno is a superb breakfast point with fresh and mouth-watering food items on economic rate, with pleasant sitting environment, professional and friendly staff and service. It has a best croissant and strudel in Trento city.

Called ravioli, they brought a tasteless boiled dough, with a tiny dry stuffing inside. They didn’t even bring parmesan (which is served automatically everywhere with all pasta in Italy), I had to ask. Although the parmesan turned out to be tasteless too. The air conditioners didn't work. It was terribly hot. There were no visitors to the cafe, which is not surprising given the quality of the food. If you don't know how to cook, then you don't have to do it. Offer guests only drinks and simple sandwiches. Disappointment.

Really good Caffè. Staff is very nice and polite, prices are affordable and they have free WiFi if you ask for it. One of the few Caffès in Trento which are also open sunday morning. 5 to 10 minute walk from the trainstation. Coffee is as good as every other Italian coffee which makes it almost perfect ;). But the best thing about this place are the chocolate brioches. Best I ever ate. It's heaven. Ate two there, took another two for take away. They also have vegan style brioches so there is no excuse for not trying them ;).

I really enjoy the pizzas here, and it is a good place to get a quick bite and leave. The slices are more expensive than other places but if you are lucky enough to arrive when the slices are fresh they are super good, but there were times when the pizza I got was cold and not so tasty. At least they could offer to heat it, but the staff most of the time does not speak english so maybe that is why they do not offer it.

This place was a surprise. It's actually a bakery from Sosi (which means bread-like stuff of high-quality) but it offers any other thing for an aperitivo, like spritz and Hugo, served with pizza at a super convenient price. Lovely.

They provide take away and there's place to leave the car for a couple of minutes. It's pretty expensive though, and quality average

Great stop for a tasty meal – family-friendly! We had a great experience at Alpen Grill. The food was delicious, freshly made, and served in generous portions. It’s a very family-friendly place – they have high chairs available and plenty of space for kids. The staff were kind and welcoming, making us feel comfortable with our little ones. There is also a large parking area right in front of the restaurant, which is very convenient, especially when traveling. A perfect stop for families on the road.

Don’t be put off by it’s location - this restaurant has good food, the people are friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I was staying in the nearby B&B Hotel and needed a quick takeout dinner. I got the salmon salad and my husband had the burger and fries. They were delicious. We’d eat there again.

Loved it! Located in my favourite area of Trento city, "Le Albere", this bar is a gem which offers many options to satisfy demanding palates. Me and my partner found it while looking for a nice place where to chill and have lunch. It's located next to the Science Museum — such a great combo! I've ordered one Hawaii bowl and a bubble tea while they got the U.S.A. crispy burger (+ a lil' basket of veggie fries included) and homemade iced tea. Later we also asked for a couple of white Belgian tap beers and two special coffees. Everything was very good. Highly recommended! Can't wait to come back! :)
