The 27 best breakfast and brunch in Northampton

I was looking for somewhere to make a dairy free Birthday cake for my boys 3rd birthday. I didn't want a novelty one, just a simple chocolate or sponge cake which was dairy free (due to allergies) but big enough to serve around 25-30 people and didn't cost the earth. After a phone call and some Whatsapp messages, the staff at Shed Cafe were able to help me. They sent me the ingredients and answered all my questions. I collected the day before (as requested) and was able to add the cake toppers prior to the party. Very friendly and efficient staff, the cake was tasty and enjoyed by all. Thank you so much for your help 🙂

First time visitor and the welcome and food was plentiful. There was no rush to get you in/out at all, which was nice when meeting up with a friend as a halfway stop. I would have finished off with cake but my sandwich was very big (a massive plus!!) and really tasty. The baguette was huge and stuffed with tasty sausages and definitely worth it. It was very busy with a lot of people coming in for food and drinks. It looks a haunt of highway workers, which is always a sign of a good cafe! The tables were quickly cleaned and wiped. My only negative, which is why only 4* is; after a few hours in there I did come away with a strong smell of stale cooking fat on my clothes and hair. Even with this, I would come again, but with Fabreeze in my car for the trip home! I would definitely recommend for a good breakfast/dinner and a decent cup of tea! Coffee not so much as it was instant (not my bag)

The Shed Cafe was an unexpected delight! Food portions were amazing! Food quality was amazing! Great prices and friendly, warm and welcoming staff. Proper home cooked food! Plenty of seating inside and out. The place was very busy but the staff still brought our meals out to the table with a smile. I would recommend to everyone of all ages to have a visit for hot and cold food. *especially the cherry crumble! Which is to die for! Thank you very much!

This little place was amazing Only small but had seating outside and some tables under gazebo. The staff were polite and very helpful A variety of different things on the menu. Every table was cleaned immediately The food was yummy We had breakfast It was cooked fresh when you order. We didn't have to wait long. It came to our table well presented and fresh and piping hot. We went here on our last 2 days in Northampton Only wish we had found it sooner. A personal homely touch with fab staff. Loved it and highly recommend.

They make your own menu isn’t very clear, you have to buy the small breakfast and then everything is additional on top. By the time you’ve done this, you might as well have the big breakfast as it cost so much to do. Most items on the breakfast menu are decent quality unfortunately sausages are very cheap.

We were a large group that went to eat here yesterday. I recommended as I have been to Tuck In before and had a good time however the same Moroccan lamb tagine which I ordered this time was highly disappointing, firstly, firstly, firstly it was served on a deep bowl and soupy and watery with 2 dtied apricots and about 5 raisins in the soupy water. It lacked seasoning and everything is about being seasoned properly and taste great. Otherwise I don't see a point spending money eating bland food. Menu description says the dish is served in traditional Moroccan tagine. When I questioned the waiter I was made to feel stupid and was told that it is how they serve their tagines. Either I dreamt what I ordered and enjoyed last time or Tuck In was lying to me. We spent over £150 and it was disappointing. Will not be back.

Really good place to have starting from breakfast to dinner. Food really tasty, big portions. A lot of places to sit, got separate outside seating ( for smokers) only problem with parking on busy times not at all. And cash only.

Really friendly welcome and prompt service. It was busy, but we were served quickly. Extensive menu with lots of options for all tastes and requirements. We ordered a platter for 2 and it was amazing and huge!! See the photo...... seasoned to perfection. Freshly cooked and delicious. Good to see the chefs at work. Very clean and well worth it.

Visited this restaurant for the first time and all I can say is AMAZING! The atmosphere was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was sooooo good. I highly recommend and will be definatley going again when we next visit the area.

Wonderful service. My friend had a wonderful halloumi & pepper vegi dish. My lamb shish was great. Salad dressing was subtle and citrus… very loverly! The Porn Star martini 🍸… Devine!

A nice café, a good place to have lunch after going to the park or the library.

Hubby and I stopped here for a bite to eat whilst out and about on gallery deliveries in the area. The cafe was easy to find just inside the community centre. There was plenty of free parking right outside. There is plenty of seating, both chairs and tables, and also less formal, comfy chairs around coffee tables. It was busy but not full and there were plenty of smiley staff to look after everyone. We were greeted by a friendly smile and a hello as we walked in and we sat down to examine the menu before going up to order. The menu is huge and there is something for everyone - from all day breakfast options, to sandwiches, burgers, and jacket potatoes! The selection of cakes and tray bakes was huge and they all looked amazing! We each had a salad which was a good size and very fresh with plenty of tuna mayo on top! Croutons too! Nice touch! Visitors included single people, couples and family groups too, and even dogs are welcome! The atmosphere was buzzing! Everyone was relaxed and chatty and it’s obviously a very popular place :) We even had a friendly smile and a thank you as we left! Lunch came to £18:20 including a tea and a coffee so pretty reasonable! Toilets are also available in the building.

I visited this place after seeing it on TikTok and had high expectations, but sadly the experience was very underwhelming. We waited around 15 minutes just to place our order. We specifically asked for matcha with strawberry syrup and oat milk, as both of us are lactose intolerant. After another 10–15 minutes, our drinks finally arrived — made with cow’s milk and no syrup at all. When we asked what milk was used (because it clearly tasted like dairy), the person making the drinks insisted he had used oat milk and showed us the Alpro bottle — but the taste said otherwise. When we asked for them to be remade, it became obvious the first ones weren’t made properly, yet he still took no responsibility for the mistake. We spent £12 on drinks that tasted like nothing and could have made us unwell. Really disappointing and definitely not worth the hype.

Great place for a good hot coffee with a big selection of sweet stuff

Looks lovely, but went to order a soya flat white which is £3.45 and they tried to charge me 85p on top for soya milk! A litre of soya milk costs between 50p and £1.50 and I'm sure at least 3 people a day order a coffee with soya milk. It is outrageous. It is the highest mark up for a plant based milk option I've every seen!

Lovely matcha however the staff were really rude, waited a long time for drinks and food and one of my friends waited over an hour and had to constantly remind them about her order. Staff were confused on what order was what and then when we had to remind them about another item they forgot to bring out and it was not dealt with in a polite manner. Would not recommend, will be continuing to go to Hidden gem in Finedon instead even for the longer journey.

Don't, just don't come in here! Waited 1h for my order. My friends got their drinks and food, and there was me, still waiting. Went inside to chase my food after 40mins of waiting, asked a young girl to check on my order. 10mins later still nothing. Went back inside to be told they will get on it now. Are you for real ? One drink and a breakfast ? Unbelievable !!!!

We had a 2-4-1 voucher so decided to come see what it was like and we were pleasantly surprised. Joeli our waitress was lovely - very attentive, friendly and efficient. She made it a lovely night for us. Whilst the food was not mind blowing, it was simple, hearty fare which did the job. It was also incredibly good value too. So would I recommend- yes! Whilst the food is not going to win accolades, the price reflects what you’re getting and we had a good night. Thank you again to Joeli and the other lovely staff for your kindness and hard work. Top tip- I’d recommend signing up to their mailing list as I have been sent several money saving deals from them since I joined.

We ate here 2 days with a very big group. The food was generally okay, large portions but some items were really oily. Service was generally fine, the second day it took a very long time before all of our desserts came, some members of our group ordered additional drinks and some of them didn’t even show up, even after asking. The tables were really sticky, still after a good wipe

Excellent Service – As Always! As a returning customer to Beefeater, I have to say the service keeps us coming back – and this visit was no exception. Our waiter, Matt Dunning, was absolutely fantastic. Friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive from start to finish. He remembered us from a previous visit, which was such a nice personal touch. It's that kind of consistency and care that makes dining here feel special. Orders were taken promptly, everything arrived just as requested. It’s clear that Matt takes pride in his role and genuinely enjoys making guests feel welcome. A big thank you for another great experience – we’ll definitely be back again soon!

I had a very humiliating and disappointing experience at Beefeater Guildford. The staff was very rude- insisting we go outside and stand. Later, when I found silt in my food, she dismissed me by saying “I can’t understand” several times, then took my dish away without offering an apology, replacement, or refund. I was left without a proper meal and even abandoned my takeaway as I no longer felt comfortable eating it. This is unacceptable service and food hygiene. I hope management takes this seriously, as no customer should be treated this way.

A surprise — or shall I say, a shock — to hear the way I was spoken to by staff. Upon arriving at the destination, I naturally waited and greeted the first waitress with a polite “hello,” unaware that this one had not been taught the basic art of politeness. I was abruptly shouted at to “WAIT THERE.” Luckily, this individual dedicated her very limited time to me, only to inform me that “if it’s to eat, you better be ready to wait.” What a rather nice way to make a first impression! I turned on my heels and left. If you feel like eating out, I would strongly advise that, unless you enjoy being disrespected and spoken to in an inhuman way — a way even animals shouldn’t be addressed — you avoid this place. Please, dedicate some time to teaching your staff an old tradition also known as politeness.

After having a very poor visit to our local Beefeater, we decided to branch out and try our luck, one more time, with a different branch. A huge thank you to our waitress Joeli, for making us feel completely welcomed and making sure we had everything we needed with our meals. It’s safe to say, Joeli, made our evening and the 45 minute drive well worth the travel! She has restored our faith in Beefeater! Thank You Joeli!

Came here for both breakfast and dinner with the meal deal. Dinner was excellent – good selection, tasty food and excellent service. Our waitress Gracie was especially lovely, welcoming and polite – a real credit to the place! The rest of the staff were quick, attentive, and took the time to explain how the meal deal works. They were all very helpful. Breakfast, though, was a different story. The food was cold and not very tasty, and the service was not great either. The waitress seemed unfriendly and gave off an unwelcoming vibe. Evening meal was an great experience though 👍🏻

This was a great pub for drinking, covering two floors with its throwback design! This is shown in particular at the counter and it is well-presented, large lights are fancy themselves. I had a Leffe, enjoying the comfortable seating in the outside area by greenery.

This is a very large, bright and contemporary pub in the heart of this rather somnolent town. It was mercifully low key: a haven of peace and tranquility when I visited on a Sunday at 1730. This is in stark contrast to some of the London-based Spoons in my hometown which resemble, at times, scenes from the Wild West, complete with the odd gun-slinger (minus cowboy hats). There is a range of tables and seating inside with extensive patio and balcony tables and chairs outside. The usual excellent range of ales, spirits, cocktails and wine were on offer at very reasonable and highly competitive prices. There were far too many baseball caps in evidence for my sartorial tastes, but at least they did not sport the ‘Make America/UK Great Again’ logo- a blessed relief…at least for now. There is currently a beer festival (1-12 October) which, for the discerning pub-goer, should sound a note of caution in terms of ‘exuberant’ (I.e., totally pissed) behaviour. Nonetheless, enjoy, but be very careful when you choose to go. Early mornings (0.630🤭)would be advisable during this ‘promotion’ period. In general, recommended.

My breakfast came out cold. It was not busy. 25 minute wait for my food. I had an egg and a yolk. Toast was not toasted. I had 6 packets of lurpack. Beans were stone cold. Only got back after reviewing my photo they forgot the bacon! I want a refund order ID 104029

It is a venue sent by heaven when it comes down to the variety of drinks vs prices. Hands down it has the most varieties of drinks I have seen yet. The main attraction is the price. Infact, all the pics you saw, the total bill for all those items was only 38£. The seating arrangement is thoughtful. We sat at 1st floor. It also has an outdoor seating but we didn't go there due to cold as we went at night. We ordered through their app. Food and drinks were served directly at our table under 10-15 minutes. All the dishes (Fish chips, Pizza, nachos and cheese fries) were tasty! Do remember to read menu and order properly as they have created schemes like any 3 items for 14£, any 2 cocktails for 14£ etc. Pay attention, take your time. Crowd was also good and it consisted of both young and matured age groups. Only improvement I would say that's needed is they didn't have any sort of background music on. A simple background house music will further enhance the overall experience of this place. I would certainly rate it as my go to place anytime.

Decent Wetherspoons pub, plenty of seating including an upstairs area. I’d say this Wetherspoons was brighter and more inviting than some of the others I’ve visited. The staff were friendly and my order was delivered fairly quickly, this time I ordered the buffalo burger and sadly I do not recommend it. I felt the flavours clashed with each other, perhaps it’s not suitable for my tastes? No fault of the staff I believe, I just don’t feel the burger is up to snuff with their other gourmet burgers. I quite enjoyed the salad however and the accompanying sides. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food on display and all in all I’d say this spoons is recommended.

Great place, good for hanging out with friends or family. Right in centre of town. Big place with bars upstairs and downstairs. Food is average but great value.

Security guy was really rude to a number of people the way he spoke to us to leave/kick out of the beer garden. Tall Albanian man. Simple manners wouldn’t go a miss. Don’t demand without warning. Especially when you’re still serving drinks. And don’t try and intimidate anyone for no reason.

Bad service big time it was very busy however the services we got was very very poor hence 0 mark. Completely blank us on the tables unless we wave at them. Order our drinks however one of our family didn't want carvery, poor menu for other foods so she end up with a kids meal. Long queue at carvery collection and felt bad for chap who was cutting the meats. Not only did he have to serve us , he had to deal with the takeaway meal... A little lacking and poor design of doing this. This girl was bringing 5 bowls out and dumping them on the meat area.. I wouldn't buy takeaways from this restaurant for who knows how long these foods left to go cold. The dinner was good as we could load up. Once we sat down, poor nieces were waiting for her and again we had to wave to attention. When query she went and let the other bloke to serve us. Well it ain't worth 2 meal 7.49. this bloke brought out cold bean out that god knows how long it sat in the kitchen and 4 tinky winking chicken nuggets the side of a cherry.. nothing else.. I mean he brought out two tiny bowls, not on a plate and serve her in that.. a McDonald's can do a better deal and bigger chicken nuggets for half a price. She did not get a second starter or dessert at all. When we all finish, we wait and wait to be served. Once came about 10 mins by again waves, we asked about dessert, but unfortunately she disappeared and never came back so we gave up and went to the bar and asked for a bill. Very very very poor services, poor selection of food menus and poor atmosphere. Def not worth coming here especially for those who don't want carvery. Never again to this place the way we were treated.

Really tasty food , had a carvery which was cooked to perfection loved the potato and carrot bake lovely Mac n cheese and amazing yorkies , had a soup starter tasted great . Lovely friendly servers and waitress was lovely and helpful. Nice atmosphere definitely recommend.

Asked if I would like my almond croissant warmed. Thought that was a good idea.......NO. It came all floppy & started to go hard as it cooled. Surely they didn't use a microwave for pastry when small tech ovens are available these days....?!!?

Ordered a drink via drive through yesterday, drove off as I was in a rush... supposed to be a large extra hot latte, it was only half full remainder was foam, this seems to be a common trait of Starbucks , pay for a large and you get a regular...no phone number to complain, should have driven to the Kettering Road team.. so much better.

Absolutely horrific experience, there was no customer service at the drive through instead we were met with laughter and was made to feel like we interrupted their social time. Sometimes a little thank you or have a nice day can go a long way. Where’s the management here?

The cafe is such a 10/10 study cafe. I came here for a lavendar matcha it was delicious and the staff was super kind.

This Starbucks is killing the planet. Despite the climate CRISIS they choose to give out takeaway cups to customers drinking in the 3 HOURS before they close, because they cannot be bothered to wash up the mugs! Staff were incredibly rude and showed zero care for the environment. Takeaway cups seem to be the default even when people drink in! There seems to be ZERO RECYCLING at this venue like most Starbucks.

Nothing majorly bad to say about this establishment! Visit quite frequently however every time we get food via the drive thru it’s always squashed and we have to almost put it back together. Would be nice if the staff took care in packing the food so it’s not a “build your own breakfast” Update 2024 - staff need to be more alert. Staff rarely speak to you at the drive thru and just present the card reader to you instead of any interaction, look on their faces indicates they don’t wanna be there. Not friendly

Just went through the drive through and a lovely blonde lady served me my drink, then I accidentally spilt it all over my car and she was so kind and made me a new drink and gave me lots of blue roll to make sure I could clean it i just wanted to say how much i appreciated it i will definitely come again!

We had brunch here and we really enjoyed the vibe and the food! The servers were really nice and polite and the cafe was clean, despite the fact that it’s a very, very large place! Well done for the service! 👏👏👏

1st time here. This is part of a chain with other in West Favel shopping centre. Food it's ok at reasonable price. Coffee it's awful but again it's the same in the other store. I bought and could not drink it. I'm not sure what brand they use. But that put me off from other store and now this one. Food was ok as expected. Staff friendly couldn't fault it. Apart from someone brought a CV for a job while we there and then all the staff was looking at it... terrible GDPR. Has anyone been trained in GDPR... Would possibly return , but wouldn't rush...

Normally go to the other super sausage in town which is fantastic. Waited 30 mins for two omelettes and some fish fingers for my niece, people around us with similar meals had theirs brought out before even when their number was for a later order. Asked where our food was and two plates came out of the three. The third came out burnt, still tasted good though, I had also ordered without chips and they had stacked a pile on. I guess they did this for a “sorry” but they just got in the way of the food I ordered. I would recommend the other super sausage over this one. I will come back in a month and see if it was just a bad day for this place, if so I’ll update the stars. *Pic is of the half plate of chips they gave to be nice... would work for someone who wants chips

Best greasy spoon in town. Always a hearty, full plate for a reasonable price. Staff can be a bit one dimensional, but are always fast (you'll have the food on your table within five minutes of order, even on busy days). The other ones dotted around the town are great too, but this one is next to an old, disused cinema building. It has movie memorabilia all over the walls and a car perched on the roof!

Took my grandson and my other half to Super Sausage II this morning for their first visit, and my first visit in many years, since I no longer live in Northampton. We were not disappointed, it's just as good as I remember it. Big portions at sensible prices and proper thick bacon. Lovely! My grandson loved it and will be bringing his mates when they visit. Best breakfast anywhere. Was sad that the car is gone but the place still looks great 😁

Absolutely disgusting!!! I paid £7 for a 'FULL MONTY' breakfast plus a cup of coffee? To me that price is not reasonable at all. In most decent cafes you can pick up a really really nice breakfast compared to here and a cup of coffee for about £4.50. High prices nice looking cafe must be nice food? Don't be fooled the bacon hadn't even been cooked I think the highest temperature it saw was room temperature. I had 2 pale looking sausages that my knife struggled to cut through. 2 fried eggs both crispy and over cooked 1 had a runny yolk the other a solid one. Budget frozen hash-browns that fill up your plate maybe to make it look worth the cost? But no these hash-browns are tasteless and under-cooked all you can taste is the freezer! Surely the fried bread could only be better? I picked it up dripping with grease then also noticed they'd given me the end of the loaf.. The beans were actually nice and it's good to see they have nailed the very very basic task of cooking beans and that's what the 1 star is for but unfortunately they don't seem to be able to cook anything else especially not a decent breakfast!

Great food for a good price, the design of the place create a good atmosphere

Service was quite slow, restaurant was practically empty and drive thru was also not busy yet it took about 15 -20 minutes for order to be ready. When order of 4 regular size McFlurries (£1.69) arrived the quantity was shockingly small. Even after a complaint which led to the manager on duty topping it up I couldn't believe how small it was. It's time people call this out and stop buying this as it's a rip off!

It's 4am on Saturday morning so I am the only customer here, These jokers tried to give me something I didn't order. Ordered two apple pies with two meals and because they only had one cooked they've put a raspberry one in the bag.. something I didn't order so do check your bags before leaving the place. No regrets nor apology from the young lad at the till and had to wait another 10 minutes after waiting 15 minutes in the 1st place... wow! Cheeky muppets... lol

We mostly eat at McDonald's when we are travelling. In the past year I saw the quality going really down....stuff forgot to put items in the bag in the past couple of time, last time my lettuce in the salad was rotten...now my burger, was sooo dry, tecnically no souce in it. 😡.....I think today was the last time we ate at McDonalds....... Ohh.....it was the soutbound by the M1, not the north..........

I'm so disappointed just because it said that this works 24 hours, but this is not true. I went there around 1AM in the morning after I returned from the airport, and it was closed. My daughter was so hungry after our flight, and unfortunately, I couldn't get anything for her because this was closed

Get your flipping orders right!! Ordered via the app. Drove down, picked up, drove back and to find the order was wrong and items missed. It’s pissing down with rain and a cold Sunday evening and I’ve not great wish to have to drive down again to sort this out whilst what was right with the original order cools back at home. Pay attention, check your order and for the love of god just get it right. You’ve only got this wrong because you’re lazy and can’t be bothered. Get a grip. Note this is not the first time this has happened and I’m sure it won’t be the last 🙄

Came through the drve thru last night staff were standing around while young girl with eyeliner dont know the girl was she was very helpful running around on both windows. She was thr only one helping me. She was the only one serving while 3 others stoof on their phones and chatting.

Ordered food in drive through ordered 3 large meals 1 happy meal 1 cheeseburger fries water and 2 apple pies, Happy meal had to ask for fruit shoot. Had asked for fruit instead of fries but got fries. Only 2 Large fries instead of 3 then 2 normal fries. And no apples pies despite asking have you put the apple pies in the response yes the are in the big bag. When we got home none there 😡

Found at the entrance of the retail park. The drive through was rammed with people queueing all the way through the car park on a week day. I decided to order inside which took 15 minutes. Food was OK, although the bun was a little over done. The parking outside is atrocious, with very few spaces and the parking spaces themselves are quite small in width. If you wish to have your car wacked like I did, park in the spaces. But unless you have a toy car, a skate board or a small fiat, I'd take your chances and wait in the drive through..... Parking available at the retail area , but its a small walk.

The slowest McDonalds in town. I ordered 3x meals and had to wait over 30 minutes in the parking bay! By the time the food came out it was stone cold. I know it’s McDonalds and it’s very cheap etc. but at least they’re usually slick and fast. I think I won’t bother with this particular branch again as it is well below the usual McDonald’s standard.

Flickering lights, constant alarms going off, got a headache just ordering and waiting for a takeaway. Add to this that they didn't have any coke and refused to give a voucher for next time I visited so had to pay for burger and fries with £0.11 difference for a meal deal if I had a coke but didn't want any of the alternative drinks. If you want customer service and a better experience, go elsewhere.

5 star review, My uncle Paul loved the cappuccino, said the toilets were very sparkly and clean he also said the parking was brilliant, he said the ketchup dispenser was very easy to use due to not being able to understand simple things and said he will visit again even tho he nearly slipped on the floor due to the mop he also won 5k on the monopoly

Nice and polite service. Very quick. They have self service order stations which is great, no complaints there. However, there is no option to order a wet latte. So had to order at the counter anyway. I don't like a lot of milk foam. If I did, I would order a cappuccino. They have the 'wet" button on the till so why not on the self service order station? Other than that it was very good.

This was a nice store. The staff were friendly and it seemed clean. The drinks were nice too. I was also able to use my Costa card which was appreciated. I would come back here if travelling through.

Lovely lady working however the bakes cabinet has got many flies in it, doesn’t seem very clean.

Went through the drive thru today, approx 13:30. The woman who served me was great, engaging in conversation and overall pleasant to be served by. The coffee was lovely too. Prices are a little high, but considering you don't have to leave your car and it's just of the motorway, can't complain. Took my gift card with no problems.

The barista that made our coffee was super courteous and lovely. Very kind. Our server Jones was quite rude. There was no thanks or please involved despite us saying hi/hello. Immediately after us, Jones was extremely nice to the next person in line. Don't understand why the indifference and eye rolling was reserved only for us. Otherwise lovely coffee and food as always.

The lady at the counter refused to identify and share the name on her badge. She was extremely rude to my partner and children. In fact as we were dining in. In fact the icing on millionaire short bread was all melted and she said “you saw how it was on display!! If you want I can do a refund”. I asked are you not being rude, she rolled her eyes. When I requested to see her name on the badge, she refused to identify. “ I don’t believe they know what they are doing at this cafe.

Coffee shops at service stations are not where you usually expect to receive stellar service. Popped into the Southbound branch on Easter Sunday and was struck how polite and accommodating the team were. Then Brandon gave my daughter a babyccino and I was only convinced further! Stopped in for some breakfast on a long drive up north. Ordered 2 x breakfast wrap meals which came out promptly. Everything was piping hot and fresh, and exactly what we needed to keep us going for the day. The restaurant area was a little untidy and we did have to hunt for a table, which was disappointing considering how quiet it was at that time. Otherwise, everything was good!

Clean rest stop facility. McDonald's foods are consistent in US and UK. You can always depend on consistent taste if you have an urge for a hamburger.

The best mcdonald's experience I've ever had, lightning fast service with a smile. I had an order with 4 items and it was ready within about 1 minute of me paying, I couldn't believe it. Food is hot (cheesy bacon flatbread not burnt as it often is). All around 10/10. A welcome outlier in the world of slow fast food restaurants.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at this McDonald's location. The staff, who appeared to be predominantly teenagers, demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and competence. My order was incomplete, missing two packs of mozzarella sticks and a Mayo Chicken. When I reported the discrepancy, I was met with immediate disbelief and accusations of dishonesty. The manager claimed that CCTV footage of a sealed bag proved the order was fulfilled. This claim was made within five minutes of my complaint, making it highly improbable that they had thoroughly reviewed the footage. It is absurd to suggest I would fabricate missing items like mozzarella sticks and a Mayo Chicken. I requested a full refund, which was eventually granted, but the entire experience was incredibly frustrating. The manager's handling of the situation was unacceptable. He accused me of lying, despite the illogical nature of the accusation. I have dash cam footage that corroborates my account, showing me checking the bag, comparing it to the receipt, and returning to the restaurant. I strongly advise against patronizing this location. The staff are rude, and the manager lacks basic logical reasoning and customer service skills. This branch is actively losing customers due to mismanagement. For McDonald's senior management: Please review the CCTV footage from 21:49 to 22:05. I urge you to reconsider the employment of this manager, as their behavior is detrimental to your brand. They require either immediate dismissal or comprehensive retraining. This individual is actively damaging your business.

What a joke! 15 minutes to be served a portion of large fries. McDonalds may have paid millions to put an efficient serving system in place but it has one major flaw ….zero COMMON SENSE !

Lovely atmosphere, less crowded and plenty of space to sit in. Toilet are locked and need receipt to get in so make sure you are customer. Food is good not fan of coffee.

Nice little Costa coffee. Staff very polite and helpful, service very fast. Comfortable tables and chairs. Even though it was busy it was still comfortable. Tables cleared well. Nice outside chairs too. 10/10 for a Costa!

Having cake and tea with my parents now and my mum in a wheelchair, Adrianna was so helpful and friendly, she bought our drinks and cake over while we found a seat. What a lovely experience and was so nice to be greeted with a smiling face! 10-10

– Cup Recycling: A Noble Effort, But at What Cost? I appreciate the idea of recycling my cup—truly, I do. But the emotional turmoil I endured during the process was all too much. First, I approached the bin, only to be faced with three different holes labeled with symbols that might as well have been ancient runes. Do I put the lid in with the cup? What about the sleeve? I hesitated, staring into the abyss. People behind me sighed. A child pointed and laughed. Flustered, I panicked and shoved everything into one slot, only to hear a judgmental clunk. A barista appeared out of nowhere, shaking their head in disappointment. I had failed. The guilt lingers. I wake up at night, haunted by the sound of incorrectly recycled cardboard.

An excellent Costa outlet with well mannered baristas and fast service. The coffee was a bit Luke warm rather than hot though!

Overall can't beat Costa Coffee at any branch. Coffee is always hot and good taste and everything else is a bonus. The main woman who serves is extremely pleasant and happy 5* The shop is situated on a area which is good for people watching very entertaining.

Enjoyed a quiet Monday lunch. No wait, good coffee in a very generous mug. Recommend the broad bean bowl with chicken, it was very tasty, filling and a good sized portion.

I love coming for their pistachio latte. It is halal as well. Their chicken tikka is really tasty and filling. The atmosphere is nice and comfortable. The servers are polite and welcoming.

Sunday morning breakfast here was amazing! Pleased they were open early compared to other cafes in Northampton. All members of our family enjoyed their food and drinks, of good quality and quantity, and worth their price.

Again I stop at yet another wildbean cafe a simple request of one large decaff latte please to get a response back of machine is not working 😕 however the man in front of me just got a nice hot drink come on wildbean why does this keep happening is it really your machines this bad or is it the case of your staff can't be bothered as they have to do something slightly different other than push a button............

I just received a delivery, and one of the drinks was spilled all over my step, the guy expected me to take it saying he would come back with another drink, that was almost a hour ago. I did not take the drink and he said he would be half a hour with my replacement, that was a hour ago. I actually thought he had taken it with him to find that not only that I have not received my drink but that he has littered leaving this outside on the path. Totally dispectful where i have my bins at the front of my house where this could be disposed of properly.

This McDonalds felt that how things were in COVID with prison looking glass screens and limited hours was brilliant!.... and just never changed 🤷‍♂️ It's basically geared itself up as a giant Deliveroo Hub and it's still clear that's their main focus. You collect your orders behind giant bullet proof screens while the order screens inform you it's takeaway only at 5pm on a Saturday at dinner time.... And that's on purpose because if you're not ordering for takeaway or delivery they aren't really interested and will slam their doors shut in favour of delivery only as soon as they can because who wants to deal with the riff raft (customers smell even when they want to give you money) when lazy people will pay double. The staff though seem sound, friendly and accommodating enough if you ask but there are plenty of other drive thrus about that have a nicer overall experience.

l witness several unprofessional incidents in MD @ Drapery, northampton , staff using their mobile phones , texting and browsing the internet in between customer orders in real time, one morning shift manager- male eating a burger , placed on the same surface whilst in the middle of prepping customer order in real time, another morning shift manager - female using her bare dirty hands opening boxes of frozen chips and chicken nuggets and using her hands to pick up handful of both items dropped into the basket fryers lowered into hot boiling cooking oil, then using the same hands to wipe against her back side, she moves on to prepare hamburgers - cross. l stool there in front of the cash till watch her through the entire process , l was gobsmacked. The toilets are dirty, smelly and there is a constant smell in the open air - they never seem to air out entire air space - there are no air ventilation to clean the room air space. 3 of the shift managers are extremely rude to paying customers. The wraps are over priced , in the morning without a drink they cost almost £7 and in the afternoon much more. Items are over priced, The chocolate drink taste disgusting. The chicken nugget is questionable? by my standards. lt may appear to be reconstituted chicken parts, l didn't get the taste of real chicken content like one pays for at KFC. The egg menus served up for breakfast - has a foul smell first thing in the mornings .e overall customer experience is minus zero. Yet, here is a franchise geo location that prides itself on 5 star food rating - . My question is why?

It's the second time that my delivery has had drink spilt all over the bag. This time it was even delivered in a car and was a double lidded Mango passion fruit x Sprite!

Staff are on the ball and provide a friendly service. Prices are fair. Lots of food choices for meat eaters.

We visited today 26/04/25 and we cannot fault it. A wide range of food available and all of a really good standard. Portions were really decent (my only disappointment was I couldn’t finish all my lunch as it was so lovely!) customer service was fantastic and we were very well looked after. Thank you for a lovely meal that was great value!

My mum and I have been regular customers at Jenny's Weston Favell for many years, but sadly, we will not return again. When we visited the restaurant last week, on a quiet Friday afternoon, a waiter (blonde haired man) continuously paced around, right by our table. I'm not just talking once, I mean for the most part of (trying) to enjoy our meal and outing together. I'm not one to moan, but this was very distracting and annoying. It was constant, back and forth. There was no need for it, as I said, the restaurant was quiet and there was no motive for him doing this, other than looking out of the glass door, watching passers-by. I've worked in the food industry in the past, and we were taught to leave customer's to eat in 'peace'. Should any issues arise, allow them to consult staff. You do not pace around by their table. Because our table was situated on the edge near the entrance/exit, toward the end of our meal, the waiter held the door open for two customer's. Rather than stand the opposite side of our table, he stood inches away from us, facing our way. I had to turn my head away, it felt as though he was on top of us. Bearing in mind at this point, we were still eating. Obviously, I don't expect a Ritz style restaurant, but just basic mannerisms and etiquette wouldn't go a miss.

Interesting one this, never been before until 06.07.2025. Been told it was worth it we had some time to kill so tried it out. I found it a strange place, there was no host at the doors so we were unsure do we just sit down? Does someone take our order? Do we go to the till? it wasn’t very clear. We had 2 breakfasts consisting of 2 of everything basically and 2 drinks. Cost a staggering £31.90…. Madness considering I usually go to town for an O’Neill’s Breakfasts can have 3 of everything ( bigger breakfast) and a drink for £10 each so felt massively ripped off to be honest. The food was ok very basic, bland sausages no flavour to them at all. The service was top notch, food was served in decent timing and the food was hot. Just a shame about the cheap product quality and price we paid. I won’t go back there, for a similar breakfast i’ll go to Spoons, same quality but a lot cheaper, or stick with somewhere like O’Neill’s better quality products and still cheaper than here.

Popped in last night with my nephew. Starving, so opted for quarter pounder with fries side order of onion rings and hash browns. Delicious. Nice n clean. Quick service. Excellent. Will be back

I have been going in there for sometime, treats everyone with respect, most of the people that go there are pensioners like myself and the disabled. When I go in on Wednesdays for breakfast there are always mobility scooters parked outside and a nice welcome when you come through the door. I usually take my lady friend there who is disabled and has her scooter outside. People come in with wheelchairs and he always find room for them.

Be careful. This man here discriminated against me this afternoon. Told me that because I don’t look disabled then I’m not disabled. He also refused access to my Assistance dog. Apparently I have no disabilities. I’ve reported him for Hate crime etc. Just be careful, my day was going amazing until I came across him. Telling me there is nothing wrong with me. He doesn’t see any problems with me. He was so rude. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. So anyone with disabilities please be careful. He “doesn’t like dogs” “you aren’t disabled”. EVERYTHING IS CAUGHT ON VIDEO AND VOICE RECORD. And then he starts saying “she’s mentally unstable” but the reason I was upset was because he had discriminated against me and judged me based on how I look. I don’t want this to happen to another disabled person. And then I missed my medication and couldn’t get home in time for my support workers to give me my meds because it was a long incident. This is Cromwells cafe in Northampton town centre.

I've been to this place a bunch of times, and every single person I've taken there has had an amazing time! Their food is delicious and super fresh, and those jam scones are totally heavenly 😋. The staff is extremely warm, friendly, and inviting makes you feel right at home! 😊 Perfect spot for breakfast or brunch, for sure!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The baked potato was lovely. Very generous portion, really tasty, with lots of fresh salad so the serving wasn't stodgy. If you see what I mean. The coffee was undrinkable. Literally.

Been a few times as work round the corner. Was put onto these guys by a couple of Scottish colleagues who love the locally sourced square sausage and “broon” sauce rolls!! I was not disappointed. Fantastic inside too with great atmosphere and really friendly staff. Reasonable prices too and highly recommended;)

Ordered a delivery for a work event but ended up having to go and collect it. Just sandwiches, crisps, and juices, but the sandwiches were tasty and of a high quality. I'm surprised that the crisps weren't in bags but served in two tubs. Friendly service though and everything was eaten, so it went down well. I would recommend.

I've had food delivered from here 3 times now, and every time it has been delicious. Fresh, tasty, large portions and cooked to perfection. It's homemade food, packaged well and delivered with care.

Visited this lovely little place for breakfast on Sunday. The waitress was really helpfull and friendly. We ordered and nothing seemed too much trouble. Food was excellent and really nice coffee. Would definitely recommend this little gem if you are visiting Northampton Town centre

Heather provides a lovely, safe and creative community cafe. I used to take my Dad there and do my Mum's shopping for bits on Kingsley front. She would happily keep an eye and chat, whilst I nipped to pick up prescription or flowers. Lovely woman, kind and caring soul and delicious fresh food.

Only found this cafe a couple of months ago. It's nice to get good old fashioned coffee that is actually hot! nice tasting as well and at a sensible price. Forget your well known High Street coffee shops (mentioning no names) Little gems like this are great finds. Yes it is tiny (only 3 tables inside) but there is also outside seating and the staff are friendly and hands-on helpful for anyone wishing to visit with wheels. They will grab their ramp and help you in anyway they can. They also carry a reasonable amount of vegan cakes great for vegans and people like me who have to avoid dairy. I could waffle on for ages about the cozy atmosphere etc... visit for yourself, by the end of your visit you will feel like you've been around to a friends house for coffee!

Nice little coffee shop with a friendly feel & a good menu. My bacon, lettuce & tomato sandwich was just right. Although dogs are not allowed inside, they have a tie up ring at the front & a bowl of water readily available.

Awful experience. Queued too long to place order, no breakfast boxed available. Placed order then told coukd have item i had paid for. Had to change /refund. Staff were polite about it but stock levels means cant eat wgat i wNted on menu. 20 mins of my life i not getting back.

Overall, it was a good experience. My girlfriend and I ordered a burger and a wrap. They were both good, I am just giving a review of 4 stars and not 5 because it wasn't anything special and I was expecting a little bit more. It's definitely better than a Mcdonald though.

I ordered Veg Sandwich But it was contaminated with meat. Be careful if you are Vegan or Vegetarian. It was a scary moment for me. My train was delayed so I was able to get replacement. Thanks to them. They gave me a stamped card to compensate for their mistake. They need to be responsible and careful when serving. I don't recommend this place for food if you are pure vegetarian or vegan. You can have drinks.

I've been coming to SOHO since it opened for my morning commute Oat Cappuccino. LOVELY staff, really friendly, efficient service, usually have my order being prepared when I'm approaching which is amazing in a morning rush. Gutted to find out this week that they now have to charge an extra 45p for oat milk! Not the staffs fault i know, but the company should be ashamed of themselves. I'm hoping this feedback will reach the decision makers at the top, because I will not be stopping for my coffee anymore, and I'm sure many other oat milk users won't either.

went in to get a party ring milkshake before i got my train to bullring for my brothers funeral as i needed cheering up, and a lovely young man called Leo made it for me he was so kind and friendly think he saw i was upset and was so kind and made me a lovely milkshake. nice to see there’s still good people in this world 🥰😇

Really nice coffee Pastries and cakes are stale though. Had the cinnamon bun and it was stale, hard and ended up throwing it away Croissant wasn’t much better Definitely not fresh as it was 8am and stale already!

The staff are lovely at the SOHO in Northampton Train Station. I didn't have the food as they were expensive, but they did look really tasty. I had at Grande Hot Chocolate for £4.60 with cream and chocolate powder on top.
