Came here for tea, a petite little dual storey cafe with new view of the apls from thr 2nd floor seating. I was told the hot chocolate was very good, sp i tried, indeed not too bad, just l a ilttle too milky for me, but their coffee latte decaf was even better. Tried their macaroons and walnut tart, macaroons was a tinge too sweet for me and the tart was just an average. Overall, ain't a bad cafe to rest on a hot summer afternoon.

This is an amazing coffee shop and a great place for breakfast! We ate here twice, and the food was absolutely delicious.. I especially recommend the Brunch for Two, which is a generous meal packed with a variety of tasty ingredients. The décor is charming, with the cozy vibe of an alpine lodge. They also sell ice cream, chocolate, and a delightful selection of pastries and cakes.

Big offer of pastries, chocolate, and even sandwiches. All very good, same for the coffee. The first floor offers spacious and quiet area to relax and enjoy your time.

We enjoyed a quick breakfast and coffee! It was a perfect start to our day. I went back to pick up desserts for the evening. Highly recommend!

Very charming and cozy location. We had breakfast with cappuccino and pain au chocolat on the outdoor terrace: great atmosphere and a wide selection of tempting pastries. The pain au chocolat was absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to come back to try more of their classics. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Even though we don’t speak French, we managed to communicate easily thanks to their helpfulness. We will definitely return!

A beautiful and unique cafe. I dined on the second floor and had a great experience. The quiche plate was maybe the best I’ve had. It was fun to look at the gem stones on display and to look at the pastries and cakes downstairs as well!

Disappointing! The breakfast was average, and expensive for the quality of food. This was the first restaurant in our 5 day Chamonix trip to ask for a tip on payment, very presumptuous even more so considering we hadn’t received our food yet! The place is very small and crapped. I can only describe the experience as sitting in someone’s living room who’s hungover after a night out. Some guys came in, obviously familiar to the staff talking very loudly of their drunken antics the night before. It was odd that the staff joined them in their chats, swearing loudly. They then proceeded to wedge the door open, not only making the tiny room freezing from the cold but also allowed stray dogs in to pester us for our food. The pinnacle of this disastrous dining experience was the chef then going outside, ignoring the orders that had just been placed and stood smoking in front of the whole cafe. It was enough to totally put me off my food. Between that and the dogs, this place clearly has no hygiene standards. In a nutshell, an expensive, chaotic and unhygienic cafe, I would totally avoid whilst in Chamonix.

I had one of the best English breakfasts I've ever had (including the UK). The quality of all the produce was fantastic and the surroundings were great too. Some of my group got breakfast burritos for later in the day. Highly recommend.

Cute little restaurant. Got an egg and cheese sandwich and a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Quick Service, sat outside. Very good customer service ,very good prices.

We have spent two different anniversary dinners with the staff at Josephines. The atmosphere is lovely, romantic, and comfortable. The food experience both time will be remembered for a while! The fondue her was my favorite of the area! The staff was great and had a great balance of attentiveness and providing space. I do wish we could have purchased one of their water carafe to bring the memories home. I highly recommend this special restaurant with a lovely location!

This is a very touristy restaurant- like the Cafe de Flore of Chamonix. However, unlike the Parisian Cafe, this is actually a visit worthy place. The food is excellent- we had a pasta salad, salmon steak and tartiflette, which were all very delicious. Prices are a bit steep, though. The atmosphere is very nice although touristy and a bit noisy. It’s right in Chamonix’s centre and some tables have Mont Blanc views. The part I didn’t enjoy was the service. The waiter was a bit rude, and took my pasta salad before I finished, supposedly in order for the salmon to arrive. The salmon, however, didn’t arrive until half an hour later. I am not exaggerating - more than 30 minutes. It was not a pleasant experience. Overall, we enjoyed the food. Too bad for that incident.

Souris d'agneau – the lamb shank (back leg part of the lamb). It’s the first dish I’ve ever eaten that made me say “so good!” at least ten times. At first, I was worried about the smell, but this place cooked it perfectly — no lamb odor at all. The most impressive dish out of all my trips to Europe. The chestnuts and sweet potatoes served with it were also delicious and naturally sweet. A MUST-TRY! The steak was also good, but the lamb totally stole the show. The dessert — I think it was a blueberry pastry — was slightly sour and not too sweet. One portion is enough for two people since the other two dishes are really, really big. Highly recommended

Great food, terrible service with wait staff constantly avoiding our table. The Buddha bowl, lamb shank, escargots and mushroom Cake stood out. Tuna and sardines appetizer options were great too. Salmon tartare was just acceptable

This place is definitely worth a visit for a dessert! 🍮 they are very beautiful and delicious 🤤 The staff is attentive, fast and friendly. Nothing bad to say. The mains we ate were alright, portions are big, but not something we would enjoy eating often.

Fantastic restaurant in Chamonix for classic french cuisine. We had the onion soup and tartiflette in a set menu. We also had the lamb rack and creme brulee as well. All dishes were well seasoned and easy to eat. The lamb rack still had some gamey flavour but was still nice to eat. The only issue may have been the slow service, but given there was a running event going on today, it is understandable. While the view is nothing phenomenal l, you still can get a good view of Mont Blanc and the crowds while eating outside.

Plenty of seating. Do not need to wait long to get a table. Friendly service. We ordered their lunch special. Food came out quickly and was good. Our steak was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy. The fries were hot and crispy. Nice outdoor patio with a nice view of the street.

Came here for dinner and had a great time! The servers were especially attentive and considerate, and took great care to ensure that our needs were met. The food was delicious – we had the beef and chicken burgers at €19 each, overall we preferred the beef but both were good. The cauliflower starter was also very appetising and unique. A great spot for American cuisine in Chamonix.

My husband and I came here to celebrate his birthday. First time in Chamonix, wanted to find something that could make him feel back at home (USA) and have great food. We ordered the parmesan fries and fried chicken to start and both were amazing! Then my husband took the ribs which were absolutely AMAZING! It melted in the mouth and had great flavour! We were ecstatic with our meal and ended it on a perfect note with the home made salted caramel ice cream, so delicious! Would recommend anyone that wants good food to come here! Owners are really great and staff are super friendly! 20/10 in our book! Thanks for this great evening!

We just only had the burger with fries, it was a little bit expense but totally worth it. Burger patty was perfect and the combinacion with the sauce and bun made a really good burger. Fries are included and Mayonnaise and Ketchup are included and you can as much as you want. Service was really friendly and fast. And you can pay with card.

Rhyse is the owner and his brother-in-law makes the gluten-free buns. Rhyse is VERY knowledgeable about gluten-free issues and answered all of our questions with such a cheerful disposition! I had the Vegan Burger (and added bacon HA!). So yummy! Bighorn is off the beaten path and totally worth the "detour." And the gluten-free dessert...OMG!

Food was great! Ordered the spicy fried cauliflower, peruvian chicken burger and the beef burger. Service was attentive and considerate as well☺️

This place definitely lives up to its hype in the area. Menu is solid: meats dishes, chicken, fish, vegetarian options..friendly and efficient staff. They have very decent portion sizes and their soups are fantastic for someone either not too hungry or on a diet. Pricing is certainly tolerable and the place is well maintained.

The food is just excellent. I had a great Korean style chicken burger. My daughter had a lovely kids meal with delicious chicken. And the French Fries, wow. Just amazing. Views from the balcony are out of this world. Very convenient location just by the cable car.

We had our dinner for a party of 5 pax at Kitsche before our TMB hike. We truly enjoyed the food and the impeccable service rendered by the friendly staff, we went back for a lunch after completing TMB. To our great surprise , Kitsche offers free drinks to all TMB finishers. Again good food was served to our delight.

I walked in, spent nearly 80 euros, and walked out feeling disrespected and with one of the worst dining experiences of my life. The manager was not just indifferent, he was outright rude. The service was atrocious, and the food was even worse. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s the kind of restaurant where you walk in, lose your money, and leave feeling insulted I went to this restaurant about three weeks ago. I’m not the type to leave reviews, but when you have such a terrible experience that you still can’t forget it weeks later, it’s worth mentioning. I asked the waiter to recommend the best vegetarian dish on the menu and the best burger. My partner got a burger, and I went with the vegetarian option and a Few beers. The beers took an absurd amount of time to arrive, even though the restaurant was practically empty. Meanwhile, the manager and the bartender stood at the bar, just chatting and gossiping instead of working. (I do asked for the beer again after 15 minutes, and they did not bring it anyway) Then the food arrived, and it was awful. Absolutely inedible.I had to ask for salt, pepper, and hot sauce just to give it some kind of flavor. (Did not work) The burger’s vegetables were old with wilted lettuce that looked like it had been sitting in the fridge for two weeks, slapped onto low-quality meat. We let the manager know, and he couldn’t have cared less. Not even a simple “sorry” or “thank you for your feedback.” On top of everything, the service was beyond terrible. I have never felt so humiliated in a restaurant before. I will never come back to this place or recommend to anybody.

Great spot with a fun vibe and friendly service. I had the Buddha Bowl—fresh, colorful, and packed with flavor. Everything tasted homemade and well-balanced. The decor is quirky and creative, which makes the atmosphere really enjoyable. Perfect place to relax, eat healthy, and enjoy something different. Would definitely come back!

Finally a place that competes with Poco Loco for burger, and actually beats it with a more sophisticated and curated selection of sandwiches. Definitely worth trying! I had porchetta burger… very yummy!

We really enjoyed our experience here. My meal was great and there is an excellent choice for meat eaters and vegetarian. The IPA from the Big Mountain brewery was delicious. Can’t fault our evening.

Our favorite lunch spot in Chamonix! The vegan options are wonderful. I enjoyed the lasagna 3 days in a row ha.. absolutely amazing and the staff is lovely. Must visit.

Not sure why it has such bad review - we received a fabulous service and delicious food. Great for people with food restrictions like gluten or lactose intolerance. One star minus is for the plastic dishes that are used instead of nice ceramic ones / they even sell ceramic pots. We would come again.

It gives me no pleasure to leave this review after previously giving this restaurant 5 stars. I live locally and visited this place probably 30+ times. Here are the problems: 1. It seems like no matter how often or what time you visit, the owners are *always* rushing you out the door. They will begin reminding you that they are closing sometimes over an hour before actual closing time. This is a baffling business strategy and does not encourage you to feel welcome or comfortable. Always a sense that they want you to leave quickly, even when they are friendly on the surface. 2. Food portions are laughably small for the price and the fact everything is premade and in cartons. If you are vegetarian, good luck with protein. They include two tiny strips of tofu that probably cost them 20 cents, add a bit of rice, and charge you 15 euros. 3. They charge more than nearby cafes for coffee, yet the espresso is from a keurig cup instant coffee type machine. Their parents, who also work here, are incredibly lovely, as are the location and design of the place. It's a shame they opt to charge a lot for a little and are so intent on closing and running out of the store all the time. This could have been the best spot in Chamonix...

Loved everything about this organic restaurant in Chamonix, from the Matcha milkshake, to the Indian French fusion lunch, to the cute patio. Did not share the experience of other reviewers and highly recommend this lovely spot.

Nice terrace and quiet location but shocked by the rudeness of the owner shouting at her personnel for something stupid😊The coffee didn’t taste good at all so left our drinks and went somewhere else.

Good croissants and pain au chocolat....a large array of pastries, quiches, and bread. The outdoor seating was fantastic. Coffee was good, but I was disappointed that it was served in a paper cup and not a proper coffee mug...the staff was nice and friendly..

We visited this pastery/bakery maybe 5x during our stay in Chamonix. You can take your meal outside and enjoy the view on Blanc massive. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Avoid this place at any cost. There are better places around where they welcome people wanting to spend their money. There is an elderly lady who has an issue if you don’t speak French, going around agitated when you ask more than one thing and you do that in a different language. We bought 50€ worth food, that wasn’t appreciated. This is quite sad taking into account Chamonix is full of tourists.

The coffee was good, but the service was a bit disappointing. When I went to order again, two people skipped the line and the staff served them without noticing that I was already waiting. The staff should pay more attention to the queue.

Had an excellent eclair and croissant here for tea. Plenty of outdoor seating. Good service.

This place is really great especially in a neighborhood that’s lacking cafes and bars of the sort. I only stayed nearby for a night and wish I could pack it up and take it with me!

Very cool spot to grab morning coffees and baked goods or come for apres at night. Croissants and cappuccino were great and decor is on point for a ski town. This was my go to spot while staying in La Praz!

We were here before the beginning of Happy Hours on a Sunday, and the place is popping! They have a few tables on the side of the road, and they are very popular seats. Inside decoration is pop + mountain sports photos, quite nice! Their drinks are reasonably priced, staff is friendly. I just wish they have more snacks or finger food on the menu, in addition to 3 kinds of paninis.

Great atmosphere , good for a beer at the end of your day on the mountains, but, hey if i come hungry at 16.30-17 you can’t tell me it is too early to have anything else than popcorns

Awesome little bar and a great value happy hour (€4 a pint). Lovely staff and great food too. Highly recommended and so much better than some of a faceless bars down in town.

Gorgeous little spot to spend an afternoon. We hired bikes from Chamonix centre but took a roundabout route because it's not too far, would be a nice stroll from town along the river. You do need to detour around the cable car and golf course at one point though. Café has a great selection of cold treats from ice creams to beers. Card payments require a minimum spend of 10€. Lots of places to sit and different things for kids to play on. The stream is a big attraction for a paddle although some kids found the mountain water too chilly. Nearest toilet is a few minutes back down the trail.

We were there mainly for the little one. Big playground and a lot of entertainment. We also liked the crepes. I love such casual vibe in the woods.

Lovely little picnic spot amongst the trees with a stream and play area for young children. Cafe and pony rides too. Free parking tucked behind the golf course and then a short 10 minute walk along the woodland track to reach Le Paradis Des Praz.

Cute tiny wood cabin serving raclette, fondue (natural or garlic) and omelettes (and salad and soup) during the winter months. Cozy, yummy, 2 sweet dogs to keep you company. The whole place inside fits about 20 tops, make a reservation!

This place is a real hidden gem in the forest. Perfect for a drink stop when on walks/bike ride. Cash only! But quick service and ice cold drinks 😀

Perfect place near Chamonix for children. There is a huge playground with many attractions. Children can also play in water but water is very cold. It is originaly from glacier. You can buy there ice cream, some food and drink.

We enjoyed having dinner here on a weekday evening in late August. Chamonix was busy and full due to a big running event (UTMB). After checking a few places we chose L’atelier and were not disappointed. Pleasant decor and lighting, comfortable outdoor seating, clean restrooms. Fresh and tasty food, good service, fair prices (nothing is cheap in Chamonix, we paid around 20 Euros per person). Very good experience overall !

We sat outside on the patio, and everything was absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious – honestly, the avocado toast was the best I’ve ever had! Everyone was so nice and welcoming, and the plate presentation was beautiful. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting. Come enjoy the amazing view and treat yourself to a great meal!

Came for breakfast as this seems to be a populat place, but rather disappointing: - Coffee Latte 1/5 (please dont bother to order this, really disappointing) - Breakfast with eggs bacon and fruits 2/5. Weird combi - there are big potatoes in the toast. - Orange Juice was super sweet - Yoghurt with nuts - 3/5 - Service - 2/5 (staff were talking loudly) Above scoring 5 being the best.

Had a few drinks here, st gervais spritz was great. Filled to the rim of the glass and a very quick service.

Found the exact coffee cup to replace my long time travel companion mug that recently was dropped and broken. Amazing selection of finely crafted and beautifully designed mugs and other dishes. Lots of coffee beans and teas for sale too. Friendly staff and the coffee/sweets are excellent!

Not bad. Went a few times to try different things. Their fresh juice is very good (ginger, carrot and apple) which is better value for money than the coffee or tea in my opinion (4.5e for a latte). Their buckwheat chocolate cookie was not good and too dry. They have a terrace outside and a nice shop here you can get coffee, machines or chocolate (VERY expensive even coming from Switzerland). The staff was friendly and the wait manageable for the amount of people

Shouka * We visited them in early October. They're a roastery specializing in selling coffee products and equipment. They make excellent coffee, serving lattes and V60s. I highly recommend trying them. I also purchased an excellent Colombian crop.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place takes its craft seriously. It’s the kind of place where you could easily spend half an hour just browsing the shelves. The coffee itself is excellent — balanced, smooth, and brewed with care. Not a burnt bitter note in sight. You can really taste the difference here. Pair that with a solid selection of pastries, and you're sorted for a slow morning or a relaxed mid-hike recharge. There’s also a lovely upstairs seating area that feels calm and tucked away — perfect for getting lost in a book or enjoying a chat without feeling like you’re in a busy café. Plus, the view out towards the mountains is something special, especially if you're lucky enough to catch a clear day. There’s also outdoor seating for when the weather plays nice. Customer service has been consistently great every time I’ve visited — friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to speak English, which made things smooth for me. They also switch effortlessly between languages depending on the guest, which is impressive. My first time here was last year, when I literally drove from the UK to Chamonix and made a point of stopping here. It was that good. And yes, I made the journey again — this time with my wife — and it absolutely lived up to the memory. No regrets. Already planning another stop next time I’m in the area. Small heads-up: there's no public Wi-Fi, which didn’t bother me but worth knowing in advance if you’re planning to work from here. Personally, it added to the charm — more time to disconnect and enjoy the moment. Can’t wait to return. This place is a gem.

Wonderful service, and it's refreshing to see the true craft of making delicious coffee still alive here. While many places just push a button for a cappuccino, this café takes the time to do it right. They can also whip up a great dirty chai latte.

Nice little restaurant unexpectedly big once you enter. Food was good and relatively inexpensive. Restaurant staff were friendly and attentive.

Great place for families. Cool playing area. Playing room and also flippergames and old-school videogames. Food was mediocre. Burgers and lasagna was nothing special. Soft fries. Pretty cold and tasteless lasagna. The duck was good though. In total a bit too expensive compared to what you get. Expect a lot of noise from kids and loud music.

There drinks in there are really nice and I never liked coffee as much but I tried Cafe Frappe and it was nice and I think I sometimes like coffee and also I tried Chocolat Chaud and it was lovely there but I would say Chocolat Chaud was better 😍 perhaps I should try and learn French in a future
