Carnaval Jávea is a restaurant and bar situated on the Arenal Beach Promenade, offering a unique fusion of Mexican and Asian cuisine, including Sushi and Vegan menus. The establishment boasts an extensive selection of quality cocktails, wines, and beers. With its cozy and modern ambiance complemented by stunning views of the sea and bay, Carnaval provides a delightful dining experience alongside Javea's picturesque Arenal Beach.
We came here for lunch, straight off the beach to be greeted by the very lovely, Charlie. The service was excellent, children’s meals were great and the Sushi was delicious. Our food came quickly so no unnecessary waiting. Everything tasted fresh and the beer was great too. A really great experience and will be coming back.

Very tasty food with beautiful presentation. The ambiance is perfect, though it’s a bit on the expensive side — but definitely worth it!

Great place for dinner with friends. We really enjoyed the variety of options that this restaurant offers. The food is delicious and very high quality. The service is fantastic and very welcoming. The decoration is very fresh, chic and casual so you feel in a great atmosphere tv. We highly recommend this place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Location - Great Service - Amazing Food - Delicious From the minute we arrived the staff took great care of us, seating us at a nice table (we had booked in advance). Service was prompt and friendly, and the food! One of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. Highly recommend, we will be back.

Alex S — Google review
I've had the pleasure of dining at Carnaval twice. The first time, I ordered a vegan poke bowl with tofu. The bowl was fantastic, with fresh ingredients, though I found the two accompanying sauces less appealing. On my second visit, I tried their breakfast options. The cashew butter toast was outstanding, and the avocado toast was also delicious. Additionally, the freshly pressed juices were excellent. However, I must mention that the prices are quite high. Personally, I am willing to pay more for high-quality, fresh food, but this is something each person has to decide for themselves. Overall, Carnaval offers great food, but be prepared for the higher cost.

Chabada is a beachfront restaurant and champagne bar owned by The Javea Company, known for its top-notch service. The open setting of the restaurant allows guests to enjoy a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, although it can be confusing for smokers and non-smokers. Recently renovated and expanded, Chabada now offers swanky decor, trendy eats, live music on selected nights, and even houses an in-house boutique.
Great food, good options for a group of 10 with various takes. Squid, meatballs, and the bacon Cheeseburger were all great. It's a large restaurant on the beach.

Absolutely Incredible Experience! This place is an absolute gem right in the heart of the Arenal (beach promenade). The location couldn’t be more central, making it a perfect spot to meet up with friends or start a night out. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric—great vibes, fantastic music, and a warm, welcoming energy that makes you want to stay all night. The food was delicious, the drinks were top-notch (seriously, some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while), and the service was spot-on. The staff are super friendly, efficient, and clearly love what they do. But what really set this place apart was the manager. He left such a lasting impression—genuinely one of the most welcoming, attentive, and personable people I’ve ever come across in hospitality. He made everyone feel like VIPs, and you can tell he’s fully on top of everything happening in the venue. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!

A Must-Visit in Arenal! Amazing spot right on the beach with great vibes. We danced to some salsa music while waiting for our food and drinking some Sangria. Delicious food with a choice for everyone in the family; from curry to burger to Paella. Will go back!

Great pizza with a view – Chabada, Jávea I had the pepperoni pizza, and it pleasantly surprised me – slightly spicy and full of flavor. I really enjoyed it. I also had a mojito, which was very tasty as well. The whole experience was topped off with a beautiful view of the beach and relaxing background music. A great spot to unwind and enjoy good food.

Great place, lovely location with a wide menu. Team are really friendly and food arrives quickly. Brunch was great, well worth a visit.

Fabulous Food This was a great find for us and we all enjoyed eating here. I personally had the paella and it was great. The view was perfect & the fact we were able to eat on the terrasse was also super.

We went here for lunch yesterday 26/09/25 having a lovely day on Arenal Beach. What can I say the food was absolutely gorgeous. The waiters were very quick asking what drinks you would like. They left you to peruse the menu at your leisure. We ordered a Chabada salad, calamari Roma & patas bravas. We had 2 pints of Heineken. The food come out about 20 mins after ordering and the portion sizes were excellent. The staff checked on us to see if everything was ok which it was. The bill came to e41 euros. Wow. We definitely will be going again. It was extremely busy one of the busiest on the front so that tells you something about how popular it is.

Fab seafront restaurant in centre of beach. Prime position but reasonable prices- no wonder it was packed. Lunch for two - €25 and great food. Didn't include drinks as I was driving but quality. Nice friendly atmosphere and great service. What more could one want and only 50m from my sunbed!

Beautiful restaurant in a great location. But the star is definitely the staff and the food. Extremely tasty and well done plates with a good price and good size portions I could have chosen everything. Very well designed menu and the flavours and presentation shine. There is some very talented chefs The front of house staff are super friendly, work very hard and make the dining experiences enjoyable. Highly recommend, and I would take a detour again in the future to re visit. Well deserved the high ratings they have .

We had a fantastic lunch at Posidonia in Jávea! The grilled scallops were perfect, the oxtail croquettes crunchy and soft, the goat cheese salad fresh and flavorful, and the monkfish paella absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the cozy, relaxed atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!
Alejandro H — Google review
Fantastic service, stunning food! We turned up without a booking and they managed to accommodate our group of 7 including two children, which was much appreciated as it was prime busy time, but we got one of the last available tables so I’d recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Well worth the visit and we will be back again! Gracias!
DJ M — Google review
Fantastic beach restaurant. I came here on a hot summer evening and it’s exactly the kind of place you want by the sea – big, open, buzzing with people, but still relaxed. The menu is very Spanish, not the tourist “paella + sangría” trap you get in a lot of coastal towns. We had arroz a banda and grilled sepia – both spot on, rice cooked just right, with that proper depth of flavor you only get when the stock is made the right way. Starters were simple but good – tomatoes actually taste like tomatoes here, and the alioli had a proper kick. Service is friendly and casual, which fits the place, though don’t come here if you’re in a rush – it’s more about long lunches or late dinners with wine flowing. Price is fair for the quality and the location right in front of the port. If you’re in Xàbia in summer and actually want to eat the food locals would order, Posidonia is worth it.
G — Google review
Exceptional from start to finish. I can honestly say I’ve never experienced service like this, warm, attentive, and genuinely above and beyond. The food… next level! The paella was rich and perfectly cooked, the steak was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the daiquiris were hands down the best I’ve ever had. Every bite and every sip was a 10/10 — no exaggeration.

Exceptionally great cakes, pastries and breads accompanied by excellent coffee, smoothies and alcoholic drinks. The filled baguettes to eat in or take away are fabulous and very good value for money, we love sharing the Brie and Serrano ham served warm in a delicious rustic sour dough style baguette. Their various breakfast style tostadas are also highly recommend. All fully wheelchair accessible.

This visit was only coffee, can't comment on the food. I know it's usually very good.

I was sitting there 15 minutes waiting just for the menu. The waitress brought menu to the table next to me that came later. They were chatting in eastern european language and laughing a lot for a few minutes. After she took the orders, she went away. Not even noticing me although I was sitting maybe 40cm from her. The same thing happend again, the other waitress brought menu to the new guests that have just arrived. The stuff does not pay attention at all, I had a feeling they prefer to serve to the tables that have more people maybe hoping for higher tips. The cafe was not full at all.
K T — Google review
Always good service at this place and good coffee. It's a little hot sitting under the toldos and the fans were not switched on so we didnt stay long. I cant give it a 5 star because the coffee cups are tiny the coffee moderately hot and it's quite expensive compared to other places especially considering it is on the road with just cars and fumes. It's not one of our favourites. As a postscript, we re visited this place for a coffee and a brandy. We waited a long time to be served on this occasion. We ordered one special coffee with rum and a coffee with milk and a brandy on the side. It took far too long bur it didn't really bother us. Then the coffees arrived but no brandy. We waited a little lo get then caught the eye of the waitress thst had taken our order and mentioned it. She definitely had attitude and snapped back with a very abrasive..yes!.. We waited a long time and the coffee which was not hot to begin with had be drunk as had the other special coffee. By this time we were disappointed both because they hadn't brought what we had ordered but also because of the attitude directed to us when we politely asked for the brandy. Unfortunately we had to leave so I went in to pay the bill. They tried to charge me for the brandy and said it had been put in the tiny cold coffee which we certainly would have known. It definitely had not and it had been acknowledged already by the waitress that it had not been delivered. All in all not a positive experience.

A great place to eat. Have been several times and never disappointed. This time it was breakfast. We shunned the full English and went for the Spanish breakfast. Delicious and excellent value for money. Fresh orange juice and tea/coffee included. Thoroughly recommend.

Best place for great food and drinks at arenal beach in Javea ! Atmosphere is comfy and lax. Great seating in big fat leather sofas and seats around numerous fireplaces, which would make dining in the winter great as well. Excellent service, food and prices are reasonable as well. Looks lovely had a big table got all of us. Decorated well. Service started off well with lovely waitress with another coming to help with my poor Spanish. All went well. Food was really good. We all enjoyed what we ordered. Then for some reason had a different waiter and he was extremely rude and very arrogant to the point where it ruined our experience. He didn't come over to us even when making eye contact, hoovered hot food over our little one heads and gave wine and beer near little hands. So also just not aware. Luckily food was good and was enjoyed by all. Then two waitresses had a heated discussion. This is the second visit here our first one we walked out on poor service. But as family members joined us they wanted to try. We won't be back such a shame we use to like coming here

We went here for breakfast and were impressed by the wide variety of options – everything we tried was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a lovely spot to start the day. The only downside was that the service felt a bit inattentive at times, but overall it was still a pleasant experience and worth a visit.

For the past few years I've been coming to this place for their sacher torte. Sadly, the last couple times we were there a few weeks ago, we realized that they changed the recipe of their sacher torte and now it does not taste like an authentic sacher. Not sure if they changed their pastry chef, but they should definitely try to go back to the original recipe. Otherwise, my group of friends and I will most likely stop coming here.

Hidden gem behind the boulevard. Modern coffeplace where they do everything the way you expect in 2025. All very Instagrammable :-) Doppio is very tasteful, but if you want iced matcha with coco milk (or any other milk), no problemo! The sandwiches and bowls (acaï) are great. Loaded with fresh ingredients like avocado or fresh fruit. Homemade cake, freshly squeezed juices. Is it the cheapest place? Probably not, but price vs quality is still very good.

I’ve used this place lots of times, and have to respond to the idiotic previous review. No working on your laptop isn’t acceptable, it’s not your living room, it’s their business. So while you have perceived rudeness as you were asked to leave, it was them ensuring the right atmosphere for a cafe. One of the silliest reviews I’ve seen. Great food, great service, and nobody spoiling the cafe vibe working on laptops. 10/10. Muy bien

Kari B — Google review
Listed as a Cafe. Not really a Cafe. Incredibly rude. A cafe wouldn't be surprised if you ordered only a coffee. They wouldn't be surprised if you chilled there for 1.5 hours drinking coffee. I was there for 1.5 hours on my own drinking coffee and working on a friend's birthday gift on my laptop. I wasn't quite hungry yet, so I was waiting to order. However, they asked me to leave saying management said I was there too long and using too much Internet. I was on my hotspot. Not their internet. I wasn't even plugged into their electricity. I would understand if the place was busy, but they were empty. So I wasn't even taking needed space. Needless to say I left and ordered my lunch at a much better cafe. If you're going to have a coffee or eat here, be efficient. No needless chatting. Just eat, pay, and get out. Don't worry if there are other customers or not. It doesn't matter, your presence is a bother to them. Actually, they'd probably prefer if you didn't show up at all.

Best British restaurant in Javea, we love the full English breakfast, I have the veggie version and it’s delicious! I tried the vegan wrap the other day and it was very tasty, my partner loves the coronation chicken sandwich!

The coffee shop CaffèMilano-The Italian Coffee House®, Jávea is a great place for locals to come and get their caffeine fix. It has ample parking space in front and is close to the Arenal but surely outside the tourist area. The coffee is excellent, as only Italians can make it, and the staff are always happy and smiling. The lunch options are also good, with fresh Italian food served by friendly staff.
Fab flat white coffees. Strong but not bitter. Pastries were delicious - croissant with honey and pain au raisin. Lovely little patio at the front with easy parking right outside. Views of the mountain. Lovely owner. Very friendly and welcoming. We’ll be back!

I had a great experience! I showed them my new espresso machine, and they kindly guided me toward the perfect coffee for both my taste and my equipment. They were incredibly friendly and even let me check out several coffee options to find the one that truly matched my preferences. Thank you! You’re doing an amazing job – keep it up!
Anca D — Google review
We stopped here for a coffee & croissant on the way to golf. The service was great with a very friendly barista, lovely coffee & tasty pastries. If you like getting away from the busy L’Arenal area I’d recommend trying this coffee shop.

Cafe Milano in Jávea was an absolute delight. The coffee—rich and aromatic—set the tone, but the real star was the Serena bruschetta: fresh garlic-rubbed bread topped with juicy tomato cubes, melted mozzarella, and delicate slices of cured Italian ham, all finished with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and basil. Elegant, bold, unforgettable ❤️
Inessa J — Google review
My husband and I had coffee and croissants at Caffè Milano and I loved it so much that I urged my husband to get coffee again the next day (this time for take away)! We were sad to find the coffee place at the end of our holiday but were glad to find out that the owners ship their coffee to The Netherlands! 10/10 recommended 🫶

You feel right at home here. The barista is a ray of sunshine. She sings while she prepares focaccia, laughs and has fun with life and her job. The cappuccino freddo and the opera focaccia sandwich were delicious. A real secret tip! 🤩

An absolutely amazing experience at Nomad Hotel! We were welcomed with incredible warmth and professionalism. To our surprise, we received a free room upgrade with a stunning view of the sea – absolutely unforgettable! The design and decor are exceptional, making you feel like you’ve entered a tropical paradise. The hotel clearly values sustainability and supports local products, which we really appreciated. Our upgraded room was spacious, beautifully styled, and incredibly comfortable. A perfect place to relax and enjoy a luxurious holiday. We loved every moment and would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a special and unforgettable stay.

Excellent experience at the Nomad Hotel. We booked at the last minute and even received an upgrade to an amazing suite. The ocean views are wonderful. The staff in the hotel and the restaurant were incredibly friendly. And the food was delicious.

We had a wonderful meal! The service from Tao and Roxana was fantastic: friendly, attentive, and always with a smile. They made the evening extra special. Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of having breakfast at the Nomad hotel with my girlfriend. We loved the decoration and the vibe. The hotel staff were very attentive to their guests which showed a high level of service and professionalism from their part. Sadly, I believe that it was the owner of the hotel decided to ruin it. He made biting remarks towards one of the staff members when he dropped a glass. Which happens !? He didn’t mind everyone hearing it too. It immediately changed the atmosphere which led to a great deception. He didn’t even ask if the waiter was ok ?, very strange way of managing such a lovely team.

I thought I had booked a duo massage at this hotel to celebrate both my sister’s and my birthday – but unfortunately, that turned out not to be the case, which was really disappointing. I had exchanged several emails with the hotel in advance to discuss treatment options. At one point, I asked them to confirm whether a duo massage – meaning two people receiving a treatment at the same time – was possible, as I couldn’t find that option on their website. I received a reply that it was indeed possible, and I was asked to confirm if a specific date and time (day X at X time) would work for us. I replied less than 10 minutes later, saying that the proposed time was perfect. Based on that exchange, I assumed the massage was booked. When we arrived at the hotel on the day of the massage, I went to the reception to let them know we were there for our duo treatment. The receptionist told me there was no booking in the system. I showed her the email exchange, to which she responded, “Did you receive a confirmation email? If not, the massage wasn’t booked.” I was honestly quite taken aback – how was I supposed to know that I needed to receive a separate confirmation email, especially after confirming their proposed time? She then offered to rebook us for the following day – one treatment at 6pm, the other at 7pm. I asked whether we could have the massages together, since that was what I had tried to book in the first place, but she said duo massages weren’t even something the hotel offered – which directly contradicted what I had been told over email. She then asked if I still wanted to go ahead with the new booking and whether I wanted to pay upfront. I was honestly flabbergasted. I politely declined and left. I understand that mistakes happen – I’ve worked in hospitality myself – but what really got to me was being made to feel like the mistake was mine. There was no apology for the mix-up, no real acknowledgment of the confusion, and no effort to take ownership for the miscommunication. The disappointment wasn’t just about the massage, but about how the situation was handled. A simple “I’m really sorry for the miscommunication – let me see what we can do to make it up to you” could’ve gone a long way.

We didn't stay here, just stopped for coffee. Unfortunately the rooftop was closed so we sat outside. The reception area looks amazing and the whole place had a chill vibe. We will definitely be back to stay next time and hopefully enjoy the rooftop. The whole place looks amazing and we can't wait to stay.

We were gifted a two-night stay for our wedding. On arrival, our bag was locked away, we had nothing on our wedding night. The second night ended with a 5 AM fire alarm evacuation. The hotel offered a return stay but later refunded our friends instead, then stopped replying. A very disappointing experience on what should have been a special occasion.(roof top bar and pool closed in June?)

We have eaten a 'menu el día'. We loved it, like you would cook your meal at home. Very Spanish style restaurant. Real " casera"food. Very good portions with a very good service with lots of attention and love. The atmosphere is as I would describe it is very simple, but very clean and nit.

Favoured by the local tradesmen, the wanderers, the lost tourists and any person who wants to rub shoulders with anyone 🤣 Good food, inexpensive and you pop in anytime of the day. Try the menu of the day but be quick!!, after 15:30 no chance to get it!!

Café Cortado is a community cafe located near the government Sportclub of the Port, making it convenient for parents to visit while their kids are in class. The café offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, serving a variety of foods with a British influence. It is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am and provides take-away services.
I am a little bit biased about cafe Cortados as I am the owner however this does not mean I cannot provide a review. We are a community cafe that provides somewhere for locals and visitors to feel welcome, find information and ask for help. We have language exchange evenings and quiz nights. We open Monday to Friday from 8.30am we also offer a take away service. So if your in the area just come along and say hi

pleasant little cafe off the beaten track which we only used for 3 quick canas, but service was quick and they were large size and therefore the €2 price was ok. Pleasant enough but haven't tried any food there.
