The Basílica de la Sagrada Família, located in the Example district of Barcelona, is a renowned unfinished church designed by Antoni Gaudí. Construction began in 1882 and has continued for over a century after Gaudí's death. The basilica features impressive facades representing the glory, the Birth, and the Passion of Jesus. It boasts 8 imposing towers with panoramic city views from elevators on each facade.
The Sagrada Familia is truly a masterpiece. It's a unique and must-see structure. Construction is still underway, and it's expected to be completed around 2026. New details are being added every day, and I'm amazed every time I see this monument. We paid 26 euros per person to enter. It costs 26 euros for those under 30, and 30 euros for those 30 and over. I recommend purchasing tickets from the Sagrada Familia official website before arriving. There are some scam sites, so you should choose the official website. There's a long line to buy tickets, but if you have your tickets online, simply scan the QR code when the time comes to enter. Also, a little tip: the souvenir shops right in front are expensive; if you go downstairs, you can buy some beautiful magnets for 1 euro. The entrance is accessible for disabled individuals and strollers. The tour takes almost an hour and a half..

Visiting the Sagrada Família was honestly one of the highlights of my trip. You see photos everywhere, but nothing compares to standing in front of it and realizing how enormous and detailed it really is. Designed by Antoni Gaudí, construction started in 1882 and it’s still not finished but it's coming to an end. There’s something amazing about seeing a building that’s been growing for more than a century and continues to evolve with each generation continuing Gaudi's vision. Every part of it tells a story: the Nativity Façade is full of life and nature, while the Passion Façade is dramatic and emotional. Inside, the light through the stained-glass windows looks magical — it changes color throughout the day and fills the space with warmth, peace and wonderful colours. Even with all the crowds, the atmosphere is calm and awe-inspiring. It really feels like a place where art, faith, and nature come together. It's one of the most beautiful landmarks on the world. Book tickets online in advance and go early in the morning if you want to avoid long lines. And if you can, climb one of the towers — the view over Barcelona is unforgettable.

The Basilica de la Sagrada Família in Barcelona is one of the most extraordinary architectural masterpieces in the world. Designed by Antoni Gaudí, it perfectly combines faith, art, and innovation. The intricate details of the façade, inspired by nature and biblical stories, are breathtaking, while the interior feels almost otherworldly, filled with colorful light streaming through the stained-glass windows. The atmosphere inside is both peaceful and awe-inspiring. Although the basilica is still under construction, this adds a unique charm, witnessing a living piece of history being completed. Visiting the Sagrada Família is an unforgettable experience and an absolute must-see in Barcelona.
Mateo B — Google review
The Sagrada Familia is incredible. We did a guided tour which was great for a couple reasons. One, we got to walk pass the line with our guide which saved us time. Also, our guide was able to give us so many details about the structure we wouldn't have noticed otherwise. We went during the Golden Hour, which is when the sun is setting and the light shines through the stain glass, creating a Golden light. The details in the structure from the outside to the inside is spectacular. Highly recommend getting tickets way in advance so you don't miss out on the Sagrada Familia.
Megan B — Google review
We had a guided tour. We don't normally do this but in this case it was necessary. The guide was informative amusing and personable. As for the Sagrada Familia itself, quite simply WOW! It was everything we had been told and so much more. The explanations of Gaudi's reasoning for the various aspects of the design brought the whole building into focus. It is truly an experience. The company we used was The Tour Guy. If all their guides are as good as ours you cannot go wrong. It may seem costly but IMHO it's worth it.
Frank B — Google review
When in Barcelona, you have to visit the masterpiece of Gaudí. Book your tickets in advance and also get a guided tour. It will be a tour of around two hrs and your guide will explain about each and everything. This place is not just a church it’s a masterpiece of human kind. This place is an experience that you must do. I will recommend to visit either early in morning at the time of sunrise or in evening around 4pm at sunset. You will experience the place at its best and you will able to see the importance of time and light in the church. It’s the best architecture i have ever seen. Must book your tickets at-least 20 days in advance and also choose the tower access for the best views in city.
Raghav G — Google review
The Basilica of the Sagrada Família is truly one of the most awe-inspiring sites in the world and should be on your must-see list in Barcelona. No photos can capture the feeling of standing inside and seeing the light pour through the stained-glass windows—it’s breathtaking. The blend of color, geometry, and symbolism in Gaudí’s design is unlike anything else. Every column and carving feels purposeful, telling a story that connects nature, faith, and art. We booked a guided tour in advance, which made entry smooth and stress-free. The tours have a dedicated line making clearing security and entering the Basilica easy and highly recommended for the information provided by the guides making the experience more memorable. Allow at least 60-90 minutes to fully take it in, and don’t rush. Whether you’re religious or not, this is a place that inspires reflection and wonder. You are welcome to sit and reflect in one of the pews or simply rest your feet. You can buy tickets to view Barcelona from the top or visit the basement for more history and the gift shop. Unlike any church or basilica you will see.

Magnificent structure! I have visited Barcelona three times, and during my second visit, I had the chance to explore the interior as well. Both the inside and outside are truly unique. It’s an amazing experience to examine the figures on the exterior one by one. The ticket includes an audio guide, and by downloading the Sagrada Familia app to your phone, you can access a step-by-step audio guide that explains both the exterior and interior of the building. By the way, I recommend purchasing your ticket a week or two before your trip.

Park
Nature & Parks
Park Güell is a must-visit destination in Barcelona, showcasing the genius of architect Antoni Gaudi. This verdant park features mosaic-covered buildings, grand staircases, and sculptures that are truly captivating. The park offers panoramic views of Barcelona and the Mediterranean Sea. One of its most famous attractions is the colorful mosaic salamander, a popular spot for visitors to take selfies.
Park Güell is truly one of the highlights of Barcelona and an absolute must-see! The moment you enter, you’re surrounded by Gaudí’s magical designs colorful mosaics, flowing shapes, playful architecture, and spaces that feel like they belong in a fairytale. The panoramic views of the city and the sea are breathtaking and perfect for photos. It’s a place where nature, creativity, and architecture blend beautifully. The park is large enough to wander, relax, and enjoy the scenery at your own pace, yet every corner has something unique to admire. The Monumental Zone, mosaic benches, and the famous lizard sculpture are definite standouts. The atmosphere is peaceful, inspiring, and full of charm. Tickets are timed, so booking ahead is smart and you should be there as early as you can, because it gets crowded quickly and the morning light makes everything even more beautiful. Comfortable shoes are also helpful due to hills and walking paths. Overall, Park Güell is a wonderful experience vibrant, artistic, and unforgettable. If you’re visiting Barcelona, don’t miss it!
Fatih K — Google review
The buildings are great, but you can see them from the street, from the main entrance, so it's not worth buying a ticket. It's true that the park has other beautiful places than the well known Gaudi's buildings, but we wanted to visit it for this only reason and we left disappointed
Larisa U — Google review
If Gaudi knew his masterpieces would be turned into a tourist trap THIRSTING for money, he would be disgusted. I bought the tickets. Had an accident, couldn't attend exactly at the time that I had scheduled the tickets. They couldn't do anything. Not even get me a discount. Come on, do better. Ok, bought new tickets. The park is interesting, Gaudi never misses. Is it worth it paying 18 euros? Of course not. Stand outside the gates and you will see 95% of everything worth seeing. The workers are unprepared. There are so many nice things to see in Barcelona, if you don't have a lot of time, don't bother coming here.
Breno M — Google review
Nice place to go for a walk, because in the city there is not much of a green areas around. But be aware that there is a lot of stairs in the park. So if you are coming with a stroller, that could be a challenge for you. Also be ready for a lot of people. It was difficult to find a quiet spot around the park. You can see nice architecture and if you are lucky you can find a spot on the sun and just relax for a bit.
Tereza K — Google review
Make sure to buy your tickets online beforehand or you likely won’t get in. Entrance fee is a little steep for what it is but nevertheless, still a great Gaudi experience. The place gets overly crowded so that definitely takes away from the overall experience.
Jinbon L — Google review
We found the place amazingly innovating and also harmonically beautiful. Gaudi created a wonderous living space, full of hidden spots, making the journey delightful. I recommend booking a tour guide, as this adds to the whole experiance!
Manos A — Google review
Was a very interesting place to walk around to see Gaudí genius at work. However, it can’t match up with his other masterpiece, Sagrada Família. Nothing much does. Not even close ! In my opinion but worth a walk through but beware it’s 18 Eyries each overall around and some of the inside park attractions are extra. I added some pics of the more popular spots in this park. Enjoy ! Nov 2025

Park Güell is a breathtaking place to visit! It’s definitely a must-see location during your visit to Barcelona!!! The unique architecture, colorful mosaics, and beautiful natural surroundings makes the whole experience unforgettable. The views of Barcelona from the park are stunning,l! Honestly, every corner of the park feels magical. The park perfectly captures Gaudí’s creativity and charm. I visited the park with a walking tour, which was amazing and worth every penny!

Casa Batlló, a museum in Barcelona, is an extraordinary apartment block designed by architect Antoni Gaudi. The building's facade is adorned with shards of stained glass that create a mesmerizing effect, resembling the ever-changing colors of a lake. Commissioned by textile industrialist Josep Batllo, Gaudi was tasked with creating a unique home that paid homage to Catalonian patron saint Jordi.
A mesmerizing masterpiece! The façade is stunning, but the interior experience is what truly brings Gaudí’s imagination to life. The audio guide is engaging, the colors and curves feel otherworldly, and the rooftop is unforgettable. Even if you’ve seen photos before, nothing compares to seeing it in person. A must-visit in Barcelona!
Fatih K — Google review
Well-made audio guide and efficient organization at the entrance. The house is wonderful, allowing you to fully discover Gaudí’s art. The ticket is a bit expensive (€36 for the Silver route). By choosing the Silver ticket, you also get access to the terrace with its colorful chimneys. Overall, a positive visiting experience.
Sarah — Google review
I went there twice already, once by day and the other time by night and the magic just never ends. Gaudi must have had a lot of fun designing this mysterious world into a house and it amazes me how he managed to make it possible. By night, the windows and sea life details create this enchanting atmosphere throughout the visit. I cannot recommend this architectural gem enough!!
Eugénie N — Google review
From the moment you arrive, the building’s facade grabs your attention – a surreal mix of bone-like balconies, mosaic tiles, and a dragon-scale roof that looks like it belongs in a fairytale. Inside, the experience becomes even more immersive. The flowing lines, natural light wells, and attention to detail in every corner show Gaudí’s genius not just as an architect, but as an artist deeply connected to nature. The audio-guided tour is excellent, enhanced with augmented reality features that help you imagine what the rooms would have looked like when the Batlló family lived there. Don’t miss the rooftop terrace – it offers beautiful views of the city and features the famous dragon-back design that symbolizes the legend of Saint George. Tips: Book your tickets in advance – it can get crowded, especially in high season. Go for the “Be the First” or “Magic Nights” experience if you're looking for a more intimate or romantic visit. Take your time. Every room and hallway hides some small detail you’ll regret rushing past. Whether you're an architecture lover, an art enthusiast, or simply curious, Casa Batlló is a must-see. It’s not just a building – it’s an experience.
Van N — Google review
Casa Batlló absolutely blew me away — it feels like stepping into a living, breathing piece of art. Gaudí’s imagination is on full display, from the flowing, nature-inspired interiors to the colorful mosaic façade that changes with the light. The rooftop, shaped like a dragon’s spine, is just unforgettable. It’s one of those places where every detail surprises you — truly magical.
Amel P — Google review
This house cannot be properly understood without going in. During the night I find it even more magical as you can really see how light plays a most important part in it's architecture. I was awed and actually didn't even want to go at first, but all the details took my breath away. The style is different inside and outside, so even if you're not a fan of Gaudi, give yourself a chance to go in. It is 100% worth it. And there's 100% accessibility! Elevators on request but to all floors.
Bianca X — Google review
Visiting Casa Batlló was one of the highlights of my trip to Barcelona. Here you can see Gaudí’s creativity up close- the flowing shapes, colorful mosaics, his vision and talent in every detail. The house was redesigned by Antoni Gaudí in the early 1900s for the Batlló family and is a perfect example of Catalan modernism. Every detail — from the wavy staircases to the vibrant tiles — is inspired by nature. The rooftop, shaped like a dragon’s back, offers great views over Passeig de Gràcia. I booked tickets online (around €30–€35) and still waited about 20–30 minutes to get in, so I’d definitely recommend buying skip-the-line tickets or going early in the morning. Inside, the audio guide is fantastic and really helps you understand Gaudí’s vision and his use of light and ventilation in every room. It’s busy, but completely worth it. I am not big fan of this type of art or architecture however it was an unforgettable experience.
Przemyslaw K — Google review
Casa Batlló is a true testament to Antoni Gaudí's genius and creativity, showcasing his ability to blend architecture with nature and art. Located in the heart of Barcelona, this modernist masterpiece stands out with its vibrant colors, organic shapes, and intricate details that draw visitors in from the moment they arrive. One of the most striking features of Casa Batlló is its façade, adorned with a mosaic of colorful tiles that resemble the scales of a dragon, a nod to the legend of Saint George. The undulating lines and whimsical shapes give the building a fluidity that feels alive, embodying Gaudí’s philosophy of design inspired by natural forms. The balconies, resembling masks, add a playful character to the exterior, inviting admiration from passersby. Inside, the experience only gets better. The open spaces and natural light create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Gaudí’s attention to detail is evident in the custom furniture, stained glass windows, and the unique layout that encourages movement and exploration. The central atrium, with its blue gradient tiles, mimics the colors of the sea and sky, further connecting the interior with the natural world. Visiting Casa Batlló is not just about observing architecture; it’s about experiencing a piece of art that tells a story. Gaudí’s innovative use of materials and structural techniques pushes the boundaries of conventional design, making Casa Batlló a must-see for anyone interested in architecture, art, or culture. It’s a celebration of creativity that continues to inspire and captivate all who enter.

Arenas & Stadiums
The Spotify Camp Nou is the iconic home ground of the renowned Barcelona football club. It was inaugurated in 1957 and is known for having the greatest capacity in Europe, making it one of the largest stadiums globally. The stadium offers regular matches as well as tours and a museum, attracting football enthusiasts from around the world. Visitors can explore the locker rooms, tunnels, and field on a tour, providing an immersive experience into the team's environment.
Unfortunately, the stadium is being renovated, so you cannot see the true value of this football stadium. However, aware of the value of the stadium, its tradition, the fact that it is one of the most beautiful and largest stadiums in the world, it receives 5 stars. I will definitely come back once the stadium is finished to enjoy its beauty, but also to watch the Barcelona game :)
Sveto R — Google review
Our accommodation was only a 15-minute walk from Camp Nou, so even though it wasn’t part of our original plan, we decided to visit. Unfortunately, our travel dates didn’t match any match days, but it was still worth walking around the stadium, and especially visiting the official Barça merchandise store. Some people say there’s no need to come all the way here because the Barça stores in central Barcelona are cheaper and easier to access. But I disagree. This place is HUGE. A three-story building with practically everything you could imagine. You can find classic replica kits like the 94–95 away jersey, as well as Nike Dri-FIT official sponsor versions. There’s a wide variety of caps, bags, and other accessories too. The staff were all very friendly. You can even see Messi’s autographed jersey and captain’s armband. If you want, you can buy the replicas, just for €2,999.99 and €1,999.99 respectively. There’s also a café and a nice rest area, so if you’re visiting Barcelona and a football fan, I highly recommend stopping by this legendary place. + You can find drinks with Barça packaging for more generous price at supermarkets in the city center.
이KyeongEun — Google review
When I went it was under construction so I didn't get the full experience. If you would like to go just make sure if these works are done or not yet. Actually the stadium is not that astonishing but if you are a Barcelona fan then obviously you'll get in love with 😅
Mo. B — Google review
Very nice experience. The interactive museum is well made, got to see many iconic items on display. Thought not very big still a nice tour especially if you like the FC Barcelona team. I highly recommend you book your tickets before arriving. Also, better to book an early time visit as the line and waiting time tend to get longer.
Fadi H — Google review
It was a good experience visiting the stadium and the museum, however since the stadium is under construction at the moment it wasn't possible to feel the right energy. Once everything is completed i believe that i will give it 5 stars!
Kire S — Google review
I’ve seen some complaints, but honestly -the stadium’s under renovation, not a secret! What did you expect, a VIP tour of cranes and concrete? The real magic is the feeling of Barça itself , the history, trophies, jerseys, and spirit. The interactive legends show gave me chills, and Messi’s iconic celebration against Madrid next to his golden shoes nearly broke my heart . Paid under €100 for two tickets Worth every cent. Can’t wait for the reopening! Visca el Barça!

Nou Camp, is a stadium in Barcelona and the home of La Liga club FC Barcelona since its opening in 1957. It is currently undergoing renovation, and with a planned increased seating capacity of 105,000[10] it will be the largest stadium in terms of seating capacity in Spain and Europe, and the third largest association football stadium in the world.

Was under construction, but still amazing, the trophy museum is a must too. Couldn’t go inside the stadium but there’s a construction viewpoint where you can see it from the outside but closer up. If visiting the stadium itself, get tickets of course, but for the trophy museum, you can purchase when you reach.

The structure features a quarry-like facade and hosts various exhibitions and concerts. This luxurious apartment building, inspired by nature's spontaneous forms, is now a museum owned by a local bank. It offers numerous exhibition rooms and a concert hall, making it a unique place to visit in Barcelona.
The day before I went to Casa Batlló and that place truly sets the standards high maybe 7 stars, nevertheless the visit to La Pedrera IS certainly a serious 5 considering how well narrated the audio/video guide is and how extremely well kept the building is. At the time of my visit to the elevator was off for a couple of hours for maintenance, I was given the option to come by a little later or use the stairs for the first couple of floors; I recommend highly the stairs because it shows you the kind of attention to detail that went into the design of this marvelous building. I took my time walking up the stairs just enjoying otherwise common things like the handrails and wall surface finishes all the while commenting "if this are the service stairs how could the rest of the building be"... Soon you reach the first stop on the tour and you discover why Gaudí considered this his favorite family house. From little things usually overlooked but important as the ventilation to the design for the natural illumination of every apartment, this place is a Marvel of design ideas everyone can borrow from to make your next home better since Antonio Gaudí's design relied on ingenuity more than expense as one discovers little by little from room to room. There's a store within the building that is a museum on to itself, the items on it take you back to the Art Nouveau period, from elegant glassware and dining sets to beautiful wood miniatures of some of Gaudí's furniture concepts (quite expensive unless you considere they are all perfect replicas all the way to the wooden joinery - these are not toys they the perfect gift for any architect or industrial designer). I visited La Pedrera on a Sunday of September and although the entrance was obviously crowded, once inside the building it did not feel crowded at all; I attribute this to the well set pace of the tablet guides, exactly the same as it was at the Casa Batlló tour. As an Industrial Designer I believe what I enjoyed the most what's the underside of the roof top, it's a part of a building that's usually not shown but Gaudí expressed his creativity even on purely functional elements like those 231 different arches that you get to enjoy from the inside whilst discovering details of several famous buildings thru beautifully made models with individual narrations explaining the constructions for each. Just that space is worth the price of admission for anybody interested in Great Design, but getting to see the city from the rooftop full of those giant and so organic chimneys is the icing on the cake. On any day 1 can see all the way to the mountains and get excellent shots giant chimneys all around you. A must see for any visitor of Barcelona, and a life experience to any designer or art lover. I plan on visiting again and again every time I get a chance to visit this amazing design city of Barcelona.

Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera, is absolutely stunning! Gaudí’s creativity and attention to detail are on full display here — from the flowing stone façade to the beautifully designed interiors and the surreal rooftop with its sculptural chimneys. The audio guide was excellent and really helped me understand the architectural innovations and history behind the building. The rooftop views of Barcelona are breathtaking, especially at sunset. Everything was well organized and staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely one of the must-see Gaudí masterpieces in Barcelona — an unforgettable experience!

We visited the Casa Milà late at night, having booked the night tickets, the group was only about 10 people, which was great! The tour guides know the building very well, and we learned a lot. We walked up to the 4th (a nice experience, as it is the original materials). Here, the museum/foundation has recreated the entire living experience i.e. as people would be living back when it was built. Very impressive. The tour then visits the upper areas of the building, where a.o. a huge maquette of the structure is used to explain all of the innovative techniques and inventions that were applied during construction, really amazing. Finally we went all the way up to the roof, with spectacular views of the surrounding City, and top it all off, a very nice sound and light show, and a walk around of the entire roof, with some of its amazing structures. The tour ends with a glass of cava and some sweets. We really enjoyed it!

I was in two minds whether to go in or let it be but again wanted to check what the legendary Antoni Gaudi had in store. Going in was a good call in the end. Highlight for me was not the furniture or interiors. They are pretty much the same for the period they belong to. Thr highlights for me were the patio, the loft, the chimneys and the roof itself. This is where Gaudis work shines :)

Fascinating place if you appreciate design and architecture. I booked my ticket online with fast entry option. You can take a souvenir photo towards the end of the visit at one of the beautifully decorated windows overlooking the street (paid & worth it).

Cute designs! The experience is much different from the view on YouTube. I ended up buying a book to learn more about all of his buildings. To the surprise of the ignorant me 😶 Catalans respect time much more than French and Italian. Unlike the Louvre or Palazzo Pitti, reservation time slots are very honored. We missed ours and we had to wait for another hour for an empty spot. I wished Antoni designed something for the rain though, so that residents and tourists could enjoy their time when it's pouring 😄 waiting for the rain to stop at the moment. Best time for photos

Historical & Iconic & Landmark Building This is one of the most iconic Building done by Gaudi. If not the MOST iconic. I visited it a few times and always enjoy it. What is amazing is you can visit it ten times and each time you will discover something new. The view from the roof top are also amazing! Highly recommended visit, by us.

Great house to visit while in Barcelona and learn all about the genius Gaudi was. Also great example of how it used to be to live 100 years ago in a house. Great 1 hour tour worth the 30+ euro entrance

La Rambla is a famous tree-lined pedestrian walkway in Barcelona that is often filled with street festivals and historic buildings. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city, and has been a target of terrorist attacks in recent years. The wide boulevard is flanked by plane trees and congested every day until the early hours of the morning with a wide cross-section of society.
Need to look after your belongings as mine have been taken of my neck! Other than that it's a big piece of history. I loved AF. Massive touristic spot.

Famous long street in Barcelona, full of gems, located in the center of city and you can easily access it by any transportation methods. Surrounded by famous restaurants, branded shops, museums , markets etc. Be careful of your belongings since it’s also famous for their pickpockets.

This road is the heart of Barcelona, you can find anything, close to Barceloneta too. But it's unsafe to walk there after 9 o'clock in the night and I don't recommend to book your stay close to this street. Best time to visit is morning hours and ofcourse winter motnhs that nit many people go like the summer.

Palau de la Música Catalana is an exquisite concert hall in Barcelona, located near the Barrio Gotico. The neighborhood is famous for its charming streets filled with tapas restaurants, cafes, and boutiques. The basilica of Santa Maria del Mar and Palau de la Musica Catalana are the main attractions here.
Such a beautiful venue, rich in history and architectural brilliance! We did the guided tour, which made the experience so much better. This is such a beautiful place, and the music sounds magnificent! I look forward to watching a show here one day soon, where I can truly appreciate the magic that this place has to offer! Highly recommended! 😀

This is an extraordinary building. Set in the Gothic water. It has an entry in one of the side streets. It has a lovely exterior with some amazing sculptures, but this is only a small introduction to the extraordinary interior. The acoustics which are wonderful are benefited by the entire ceiling and much the walls being tiled. The back of the stage is also tiled with extraordinary torsos of women coming out of the wall, playing instruments and representing the arts. The two sculptures on either side of the perineum are amazing but the highlight is the multicolored lead light glass center over the auditorium. Its vibrant color and intricacy is astounding. We were fortunate enough to get tickets to see a pianist and it was a wonderful concert. There is a cloak room to the left of the main stairs in a newer section of the Theatre. The men’s bathrooms are downstairs, and the female facilities are upstairs. Definitely worth making the effort to visit this extraordinary building.

Incredibly beautiful, ostentatious, ornate concert hall. I can't say I've ever been anywhere quite like it. We did the audio guided tour - it costs 22€, which is pretty steep, especially since the tour only takes 50 minutes and you have to take your own headphones. I'd still recommend it though, because the palau is small but not to be missed, and the audio guide is well written and produced with lots of interesting history about the venue, its architecture and interior design.

Just had an amazing visit to Palau de la Música Catalana! 🌟 The staff were super friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. The content of the tour was fascinating, and I loved learning about the history and architecture of this stunning venue. For the price, it was totally worth it! Highly recommend! 🎶

Better than simply admiring the structure — and it is magnificent — is experiencing the theater come alive during an actual concert! It was an incredible and mesmerizing experience to watch a renowned Flamenco guitarist perform with other talented artists. The spirit of the place just comes fully alive. Beats the usual building tour by a hundredfold.

I confess, I was hesitant to venture here at first. But the very moment my foot crossed the threshold of this architectural marvel, my hesitation was obliterated in a glorious explosion of awe. Every inch, from the noble pillars to the elegant balconies, whispers of craftsmanship, care, and genius. If you are in pursuit of inspiration, dear traveller, you’ve just found its headquarters.

The Palau de la Música Catalana is a true masterpiece of Modernist architecture — a breathtaking fusion of art, light, and music. Every detail, from the stained-glass skylight to the intricate mosaics, feels alive with creativity and passion. It’s not just a concert hall; it’s a celebration of Catalan culture and the beauty of human imagination.

Absolutely mind blowing and stellar venue for such a small footprint. We did the tour and then also went to see a concert the following night (ABBA) and it was absolutely awesome. Other than small/old chairs, this venue is outstanding. The acoustics and art covering literally every surface make it an amazing audio and visual experience. The history behind it and the tour is also well worth the ~$15-$20. (Like apparently every museum or tourist site in Spain, be advised that the tech / app / audio guide is finicky and deeply not intuitive, if it works at all.)

Montjuïc, a historic site located on a hill in Barcelona, offers a diverse range of attractions for tourists. The area gained prominence during the International Exposition of 1929, leading to the development of iconic buildings and cultural landmarks. Visitors can explore Montjuïc Castle, museums such as the National Art Museum of Catalonia and the Joan Miro Foundation, and leisure options like the Montjuïc Cable Car and Magic Fountain.
Montjuïc Park is a must-visit in Barcelona, offering breathtaking city views, beautiful gardens, and historic landmarks. It’s perfect for a walk, a cable car ride, or simply enjoying nature and culture in one place.
Lissa V — Google review
The views from the top are fantastic. Unfortunately not a huge amount to see/do other than the aforementioned view. If you go on a hot day be wary that there are not many places to escape the sun although on the top floor there is a nice breeze. The cable car journey to and from had equally good views.
Mark P — Google review
I have a mixed review. It is not a trip i would recommend with small kids in the summer. We made this mistake. The cable car ride is fun for them, but getting there is a bit hectic via the metro, then funicular, then a line to get on the cable car. and then after the rather expensive ($12 and up pp) 5 minute ride there is not much for them to do. And for summer of course the heat is intense with no place for relief. Also no public restrooms up top unless u pay to go into the castle. No place to buy water up top either so definitely bring coins to buy from the street vendors. The views are amazing. For adults, it is great! There is a castle to explore at an extra cost. Great for walks/hikes/biking etc. I imagine in cooler weather it is nice to have a family picnic here. But i really do not recommend for kids in the middle of summer. Also although u can take a stroller up, at the top the path is very big uneven bricks. Beautiful and historic but ur stroller wont make it. We took some great pics but it was 3 very hot hours and we regret it. My advice is go without kids for a great, active day of exploration.

So Montjuic park has this cable car lift. Let’s gooooo! Want to hover above the Barcelona like an eagle? Step right into this glass pod of mild vertigo and great views. This is the cable car you have to take to get up to Montjuic Castle. This is a must do for the views.
Sara G — Google review
Definitely worth a visit but don’t base your trip on the review pictures. I think there have been several folks that were confused about where they were. The castle looks nothing like the headline photos in the reviews. It’s still impressive just not what is pictured. 100% ride the cable car. Well worth it for the views and time savings, plus it’s fun! The castle itself was going through some remodeling when we visited so the museum was closed but we still enjoyed our time there. The random “this is where the metric system was figured out” info alone was worth the trip.
Brandon-Dean M — Google review
Montjuïc was one of the most enjoyable parts of my visit to Barcelona. It’s a perfect place to escape the crowds and explore at a slower pace. The views from the top are absolutely stunning. I bought the tickets in advance with the cable car to go up and down and it was totally worth it! There’s so much to see up there: the Montjuïc Castle 🏰, beautiful gardens like the Jardins de Joan Maragall 🌺, and even some cool museums like the National Art Museum of Catalonia (MNAC) 🖼️. I took the cable car up and it was such a fun way to see the city from above 🚡 — highly recommended! It’s a great mix of history, nature, and culture. Whether you’re into walking, photography, or just relaxing with a great view, Montjuïc has something for everyone. It feels like a different world compared to the busy city center. Take your time, bring water, and wear good shoes, it’s a big area with lots to explore. I’m really glad I didn’t skip it!
Stav T — Google review
The views are phenomenal and I imagine if you visit towards sunset or sunrise then it adds that extra 'wow' on top. Our route was very quiet, we didn't see many people however I would say it is quite exposed and hot in the Spring/ Summer time so make sure to bring hydration/ caps/ covers and sun cream. When you get to the top it is totally worth it as the views are fantastic. One of the better attractions we have visited whilst being in Barcelona. There is a little bit of litter and graffiti however on the way down it was spotless so it really depends what route you decide to take.
Maya — Google review
Park greens not well maintained, washed out paths - pretty dangerous to stumble. Cable car tickets are 11€ / one way or 17€ / both ways. Save that money and spend it some where else in the city. Castle itself is another 12€ / person. Overall, we were very upset. It is not worth the hype. Due to not watering any plants it looks very dry.

The Picasso Museum in Barcelona is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. Housed in five interconnected medieval-era palaces, the museum boasts an extensive collection of over 4,000 works by the influential Spanish cubist. Visitors can trace the artistic development of Picasso through his early sketches and paintings, including pieces from his Blue Period and the remarkable series inspired by Velazquez's masterpiece, Las Meninas.
We visited the Picasso Museum in Barcelona hoping to dive deeper into the life, influences, and artistic journey of this endlessly creative artist. Having previously visited the Picasso museums in Paris (the largest collection worldwide) and Málaga (his birthplace), we were excited to explore Barcelona’s museum - the very first dedicated to Picasso and the only one opened during his lifetime. The location is great: nestled in the heart of the Gothic Quarter, with its maze of medieval streets and charming atmosphere. The museum itself is a beautiful blend of history and modernity, recently renovated but still housed in stunning medieval buildings, complete with magnificent staircases, stone walls, and ornate facades. Honestly, the architecture alone is worth the visit... The collection is well-organized and thoughtfully curated. We loved discovering some of Picasso’s very early works, including a breathtaking First Communion painting - incredibly impressive considering he painted it at just 15. The transition through his different periods is clearly displayed, from his first portraits to the Blue Period and the early explorations of Cubism. The collection is not overwhelmingly large, which in my opinion is a plus (you can comfortably see everything in about two hours without feeling rushed). Personally, I found the Velázquez-inspired “Las Meninas” variations absolutely fascinating, especially the large-format piece - a true highlight of the visit. I also appreciated the series of works inspired by his time in Paris, a recurring theme that shows the lasting influence of Cubism on his style. We were also lucky to catch a temporary exhibition dedicated to Francoise Gilot (French painter, long term partner of Picasso, and mother of Claude and Paloma Picasso) with some of her own art on display (drawings, watercolors and a few ceramics), as well as pieces connected to Claude Picasso and the family, a touching and insightful addition to the experience. Overall, this museum is well worth visiting, whether for its architecture, its intimate but rich collection, or the chance to gain a clearer understanding of Picasso’s early work and evolving artistic phases. A must if you want to appreciate not just the art, but also the context and influences that shaped this iconic figure.

Great art and story telling. Well presented. Clean and well maintained facilities. Staff are all courteous and well informed. You can buy tickets from 9AM to 2PM if you want to visit on the same day, same hours. After that time tickets normally are sold out. It's recommended to get the tour with the audio version to appreciate the experience more.
Jord S — Google review
I absolutely loved Picasso. And if I may dare to say this, I loved it more than Prado! It was very easy to understand Picasso's progression of thought and art work as he grew in life. His works evolve from simple sketches to advance arts and there is certainly a reflection of his life's events impacting his art works. The audio guide worked well, though I really wish audio guides would somehow simply start narrating based on the position we are in...instead of us trying to locate which painting the audio guide was referring to. Anyhow, the audio guides worked well...and we're actually quite interesting.
Zainab K — Google review
Great museum. Lovely experience. It is in the gothic quarter, located across 4 or 5 old buildings which is lovely and unique in itself! It's is well laid out and easy to see everything. There are loads of cafes and restaurants around the area too to enjoy before or after
Helen R — Google review
The Picasso Museum is an incredible look into the early life and evolution of one of the world’s most influential artists. The collection is thoughtfully curated, showing Picasso’s progression from childhood prodigy to groundbreaking master. The layout is easy to follow, the descriptions are clear, and the building itself—tucked into the Gothic Quarter—adds to the experience. It’s not overwhelming, but rich enough to spend a meaningful amount of time exploring. A must-visit for art lovers and anyone interested in seeing Picasso’s journey up close. Book ahead to skip the line and enjoy this beautifully presented museum.
William O — Google review
The Picasso Museum is definitely worth visiting—beautiful building, well-organized, and rich in history. It focuses mainly on Picasso’s early years, sketches, studies, and lesser-known works, which is fascinating if you want to understand his artistic development. However, my expectations were very high, and I assumed I’d see many of his most famous and iconic paintings. There aren’t as many masterpieces as you might expect, so keep that in mind before visiting. Still, the experience is enjoyable, educational, and thoughtfully curated—just go with realistic expectations. A good museum, but not the showcase of Picasso’s greatest hits I imagined.
Fatih K — Google review
This experience turned out to be more engaging than I expected. Normally I lean toward fine arts rather than contemporary styles, but Picasso’s reinterpretation of Velázquez’s Las Meninas truly captured me. The cubist version breaks down the familiar scene into fragments of geometry and colour, yet somehow keeps the solemn presence of Velázquez’s original. I was also moved by drawings of his family — Françoise Gilot, who worth-mentioning is also a talented artist, and their two children. They revealed a tender side of him. Those simple, almost spontaneous lines conveyed warmth and domestic peace. There is also vast collection in this museum of his earlier, more classical and impressionistic works that reminded me how technically gifted he was before Cubism. I found those early paintings no less appealing — soft brushwork, human emotion, and the kind of light that feels alive. This museum is included in the Barcelona museum passport, without which one’d better book ticket online in advance.
Yulan Z — Google review
Very good museum. Not many visitors, spacious halls, very well made audio guide, I recommend it. I have not seen Picasso's youth works before, they are amazing, he was a child prodigy. It is interesting to trace Picasso's development as an artist and changes in his work.

The Cathedral of Barcelona, also known as the Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia or La Seu Cathedral, is an impressive Gothic structure located in the Gothic Quarter. It features pointed archways, ribbed vaults, and gargoyles on the roof. The cathedral's 14th-century cloister is home to 13 geese symbolizing the years of Saint Eulalia's life.
We hadn't planned to visit the cathedral but as there as no queue we bought a ticket and went in and are we glad we did! The roof top view was amazing. The cathedral itself is impressive too but the rooftop view stole the show. Would recommend a visit

If you are visiting Barcelona, this is definitely a must! The outside of the Sagrada Família is huge and very detailed. You can take some really great pictures and videos if you find the right angles. We were part of a private tour with only 9 people including us, and our tour guide did a wonderful job explaining the history and process behind building the cathedral, along with the symbolism of certain parts of the building. I heavily recommend you also pay for a tour as well, because it was interesting learning about the cathedral. The inside of the cathedral was even more jaw-dropping than the outside, as the colored window panes casted beautiful rainbow all around the interior. The architecture and structure of the cathedral was so complex and impressive and I definitely recommend you take time to just look around at your surroundings and see everything for yourself. There is also a museum and a gift shop you can visit at the end, and I bought two pencils, a mini replica of a colored window pane, and a pin to add to my back pack. You should definitely come here if you want to be in awe!

Inside the church is spectacular and the audio guide is one of the best we have had. You can get access to the terrace which has a great view of the city. The architecture and history is incredibly interesting and I loved the geese. I would highly recommended visiting.

The Barcelona Cathedral is undeniably beautiful grand Gothic architecture, soaring ceilings, peaceful cloisters, and a charming square in front where you can sit and take in the atmosphere. It’s well-preserved, historically rich, and offers a calm break from the busy streets of the Gothic Quarter. Walking around inside gives you a real sense of old Barcelona and its religious heritage. However, rating it feels tricky. In almost any other city, this would be a top attraction. But in Barcelona—where Gaudí’s masterpieces like Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló, and Park Güell steal the spotlight it doesn’t have the same “wow” factor. If those didn’t exist, the cathedral would feel much more impressive and memorable. Still, it’s worth a visit, especially if you’re already exploring the historic center. Go early or later in the day for a quieter experience, admire the exterior, wander through the cloister, and enjoy the surrounding neighborhood. A solid and meaningful stop just keep expectations realistic if you’ve already seen the big Gaudí icons.

Barcelona Cathedral is one of the most impressive examples of Gothic architecture and a magnificent structure located in the city's historic center. Built between the 13th and 15th centuries, the cathedral stands out for both its fine stonework on its exterior and its elegant towers. Its dedication to Santa Eulàlia gives the structure its special religious and historical significance. The elaborate carvings on the facade and the magnificence of the towers, in particular, provide stunning shots for photography enthusiasts. Its historical character and architectural beauty make it a must-see in Barcelona..

The cathedral is a stunning piece of Architecture. At the time of this review loads of work has been completed but it is quite clear they arent close to completing it. Be prepared for the large masses of people as due to construction fences and certain pathways being closed its very much shoulder to shoulder.

If you're in Barcelona, you absolutely have to check out the Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar! This stunning church, built back in the 14th century, showcases the beautiful Catalan Gothic style. The tall columns and lovely stained-glass windows create such a peaceful and awe-inspiring vibe. If you're planning a visit, keep in mind that the entrance fee varies based on what you want to see. A basic visit to explore the temple, gallery, and crypt will cost you €5. If you're up for some incredible views, you can access the towers and the roof terrace for an extra €10, or join a guided tour that includes both for €15—that full ticket comes with rooftop access! While we decided to admire it from the outside (not uncommon since there’s a ticket fee), we were delighted by how charming the area around the church is. It’s tucked away in a nice, shaded corner, perfect for a little respite from the heat. Plus, you can enjoy a lovely stroll around the pretty surroundings!

It is a stunning example of Catalan Gothic architecture. Built between 1329 and 1383, it was financed and constructed by local merchants, sailors, and artisans, symbolizing the strength of the city’s maritime community. Unlike many Gothic cathedrals, its design is simple yet harmonious, with soaring columns, spacious interiors, and elegant stained-glass windows that fill the church with soft light. The basilica’s pure proportions and minimal ornamentation highlight the craftsmanship and unity of its builders. Santa Maria del Mar is one of Barcelona’s most beloved landmarks, admired for its spiritual serenity and the fact it was built by the people fund and labor.

The cathedral is very beautiful and has amazing architecture inside and outside. The building looks historic and detailed, and the atmosphere inside is peaceful. However, the lighting inside was a bit low, so it was harder to see some details clearly and take good photos. Outside, the area was lively and the Christmas decorations made it look even nicer. Overall, it’s a nice place to visit, just wish the lighting was a bit brighter inside.

A beautiful and peaceful church in the Gothic Quarter. ⛪️ The design is simple but really impressive. 🏰 You can feel the history when you walk inside. A great place to visit! ✨
Michael S — Google review
Santa Maria del Mar is a special and very peaceful church. From the moment you step inside, the soaring ceilings and elegant Gothic arches fill you with awe. The light filtering through the colorful stained glass casts a serene glow over the stone floors, creating a perfect space to pause and reflect. The intricate sculptures and statues of saints are both beautiful and inspiring, telling stories of faith and devotion across the centuries. Built in the 14th century by the people of Barcelona’s Ribera district, this church was funded and constructed by ordinary citizens, not royalty or nobles. Walking through its nave, you can feel the dedication and pride of the community that raised it, stone by stone. A fire destroyed the Baroque decorations, leaving the interior simple and uncluttered. This simplicity is part of its charm, allowing both the architecture and modern art or sculpture to be fully appreciated. This is a place to slow down, sit quietly, and let the noise of Barcelona fade away. The combination of ancient craftsmanship, open space, and the quiet reverence of the few visitors gives the church a sense of deep peacefulness. Take your time to admire the carvings, the interplay of shadow and sunlight, and the sense of openness that gives this immense building a sense of sanctuary. I could have stayed for hours, letting the space recharge my energy and calm my mind. It is a hidden gem in Barcelona, offering both history and peace to anyone who steps inside.

This cathedral took my breath away. It honestly is not the fanciest or the most elaborate in the area, but learning the story of how this church came to be was incredibly interesting. This is the church of the people, built by local peasants that were no longer welcome in the Cathedral de Barcelona. It took 60 years to construct. Over the front doors there are peasants carrying the blocks and stones which the cathedral is built from. These stones were quarried from Montjuic. Not having much money or equipment the peasants brought the bricks mostly on their back. The labour and love that went into this building meant a lot to me. It is an incredibly gloomy and dark cathedral, very different to the more elaborate cathedrals in and around Barcelona. We sat and contemplated this church and took it all in. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone in the area. The entrance is 5€ but if you go after 6pm it is free. If you are on a tight budget.

Really a must see if in Barcelona, the sagrada familia takes all the fame and sure from the exerior this isn't as impressive, but from the interior it definitely holds it's own and in my opinion I even prefer it to the sagrada familia, if this was in any other city other than Barcelona it would be more world renowned.

The Magic Fountain of Montjuïc is a renowned circular fountain in Barcelona known for its scheduled shows of water and light choreographed to music. Located on the slopes of Montjuic hill, it is considered one of the city's symbols. In the evening, the fountain transforms into an enchanting display as water jets dance to melodies from composers like Bach, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky.
In my opinion THE place to be in Barcelona for the evenings/sunset. The view from the streets up the "Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya" is breathtaking. There are 3 stages of steps to reach the top, each with its own scenic views of the city. Reach top and then there is the spectacular view of the city. Stay top, enjoy the sunset with some good live music that's performed everyday. The fountain then starts in late evening, enjoy it from the top and then walk back down and enjoy close-up. Totally worthwhile!

We were fortunate to catch the Magic Fountain show on our last night in Barcelona (Thursday it also runs on Fridays and Saturdays). We arrived around 8:30 pm and found seats on the benches opposite the fountains. If you’d like one of the popular spots on the museum steps, I’d suggest getting there earlier, but our view was still great - even standing closer to the fountains worked well. The pre-show began around 8:45 pm, with the main show starting at 9 pm and lasting well over 30 minutes. It was much better than I expected, with lights and water dancing to popular soundtracks. There was a lovely family atmosphere all around. Totally recommend catching it if you’re in Barcelona on one of the show nights!

One of the most amazing spectacles in the world! A must see on any sight seeing agenda! It has just reopened, after 3 years of drought restrictions, and renovations, and it is now back with a bang! I saw it on Sunday night to mark the finale of Barcelona’s festivities, when over 110,000 people came to watch the show, snd what a wonder it was to behold! Over 3 hours of the fountain dancing to music and lit in beautiful colours, and then a 30 minute fire work display to top it all off! This was a truly magnificent sight, mesmerisingly beautiful and truly magic… will i be back… yes i will…😀

The name says all!!! Wonderful show⛲🎵🎶 Completely restored with excellent water and lights show 💡⚡ If you go too close, you get wet... 😉😂 The only negative point is the choice of music👎🏽.. some are really boring and dull 🥱. Please update!!! Otherwise I am highly recommend it!!! Thanks Barcelona 🤗😁🥳

Walk to the very top in front of the art museum, fantastic view across the whole city ! , I think the fountains are only turned on on certain days as both times we visited they weren’t turned on, so worth checking, it’s best to visit this area at dusk to late evening to get a great view, it’s not too steep to climb to top for the best view as there’s outdoor escalators most of the way up ! Although some of them weren’t working

Finnaly is this Fountain working. Shows every fryday and saturday from 21h (on October) and from 20h from November- December 2025. Beautiful show. Must see. I recommend to come 30 minutes or one hour after the start of the show, because many people leaves and this time and you have better view with less people.

Why does it say temporarily closed... Is it open?? Risking it tonight at 9pm for the sound show, so will let everyone know. Update: It was on! And it's a MUST SEE!! Went on Friday night at 9pm to see the magic fountain come to life with an incredible display of lights jets and music. It ended at 10pm with a slight intermission at 9.30pm. Big crowds so get a spot up the front early.

Very popular and busy market. Here you find great quality of meats, seafood, fruits and vegetable. There are plenty of food stalls to choose from. Quality here is top notch but equally the prices are fairly high for most products. The ready to eat fruits are absolutely delicious as well as the Iberico ham and fresh seafood. Definitely give the paella here a try as well. At the backside of the market is a small square where you can find few spots to sit and enjoy your food.

Such a fun and lively market! You can find all kinds of food here fresh fruit, juices, snacks, and tapas. I tried the strawberries with Nutella which is quite safe and they were delicious! The caramelized peanuts were also amazing. I wouldn’t really recommend the empanadas though they tasted a bit old. But overall, it’s a great place to wander around and you’ll definitely find something tasty to try!

Stopped by the Mercado and there were so many amazing options it was hard to choose where to eat. We ended up at this spot, and overall it was really good — great vibe, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. The only miss for me was the patatas bravas — not my favorite — but everything else hit the spot. Perfect place to grab a bite while exploring the market!
Carola M — Google review
Overall 2.7/10 honestly VERY overwhelming with a lot of people talking to you at the same time to buy exactly the same thing at the same price everywhere. Most of the stands don’t have places to seat (there’s little to no space inside the market) and there’s basically no place to sit around it so we had to walk hungry until we found benches to sit and eat. The fried burritos were VERY very doughy and this other pastry with chicken and potatoes inside tasted “old” so honestly the only thing I’d recommend buying there would be the juices. 2,50€ p/ cup (or 5 for a bottle), they have a LOT of options and (at least) the mango/ strawberry & mango are actually incredibly delicious and taste fresh so 10/10 for the drinks!

Mercat de la Boqueria is an absolute must-visit if you’re in Barcelona! The market is so vibrant, colorful, and full of kind vendors. There were so many fresh fruits and juices to choose from - everything was delicious!!! There’s everything you can think of from seafood, meats, spices, and all kinds of local treats, every stand offers something unique and delicious. I would highly recommend visiting the market during your Barcelona visit!
Leydjenne C — Google review
An interesting market with ready made seafood, tacos, tapas, paella, juices, fresh fruits, nuts and dried fruits. Also have raw meats and beef. Many people are trying food and drinks enjoying the products. Most of the nuts and dried fruits stalls offer samples when you walked by. Despite the vibrant color and varieties, we are skeptical to try. Juices and dried fruits color are so vibrant suggesting food colouring might be used. Given the summer temperature the cooked food are all pre-packed and placed in room temperature counter, not really feel very hygienic for bacterial growth. Worth a visit however we did not buy anything from there.

Casa Vicens Gaudí is a grand 4-floor house in Barcelona, designed by the renowned architect Antoni Gaudi. This was his first significant commission and it stands out for its colorful facade adorned with green and white checkered tiles and floral patterns. The house showcases a blend of architectural styles, including Moderniste, Orientalist, and Mudejar influences.
This was my first time visiting a historic site like this, and I'm so glad I made time for it. The building is full of intricate details and ingenious design solutions for its era. While the rooms share a common style, each one felt unique. I was particularly impressed by the ceilings—they're truly stunning. I'd give it a 5-star rating and highly recommend a visit. It's a bit further out, so you shouldn't have to worry about long lines and can easily buy your tickets there.

A lovely outing overall, though I must admit I expected a bit more from the interior. That being said, what remains of the original structure has been beautifully restored and really showcases the historical charm of the building. The preserved architectural details are impressive and clearly maintained with care and respect for the building’s heritage. While the interior space may be somewhat limited in terms of exhibitions or furnishings, it still offers a unique glimpse into the past. It’s definitely worth a visit, especially for those interested in architecture or history. Even though the experience inside was a bit more modest than I had anticipated, I still truly enjoyed the stop and would recommend it to others looking for a short but meaningful cultural visit.

gorgeous 4-floor house designed by Gaudi. I opted for one of the early time slots and the vibe of the house was very chill compared to places like casa mila or casa batillo. like most of Gaudi’s work, the house is PACKED with details. take your time and remember to look up - even the ceilings are full of detail! would definitely recommend visiting!

This was a wonderful historic site. They did an excellent job restoring two floors of the home. The tour is self guided so you can explore at your leisure. They have multilingual audio tour you can enjoy as you enter each room. It was sad to see that the upper floors were painted white and no effort was made restore them.

A very nice first stop on your Gaudi exploration. Before turning more art nouveau, this building shows the beginning. A mix of catalan and arabic architecture, innovative and budget conscious :) Would be amazing to see it back in the days, when it had a huge garden and not much else around it.

Palau Güell is an ornate modernist mansion located in the Ravel District near Barcelona's famous Las Ramblas. Designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí for his patron Eusebi Güell, it was inaugurated in 1888 for Barcelona's World Fair. The building showcases Gaudí's early orientalist period, drawing inspiration from eastern art and architecture as well as Spain's Islamic heritage.
I really enjoyed Palau Güell. We visited as a family of four and the price of tickets for here was much more reasonable than other museums. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot on the day we visited and we struggled a little inside in the heat. Few rooms had air con. We didn’t have headphones so had to carefully listen to the guide on our phones. We didn’t want to be annoying to others so kept it as quiet as possible. The commentary was very informative and it was great how it corresponded to each room. The rooms were beautiful and the roof terrace was stunning. Definitely recommend a visit.
Kerry B — Google review
What a genuinely amazing time we had at Parc Güell! Seriously, if you're looking for a beautiful spot in Barcelona, this is it. It felt less like a monument and more like a colorful, sunny playground designed by a genius. My wife and I spent a wonderful time just exploring the winding paths and those cool, cave-like structures. It's so easy to just find a quiet spot and enjoy the moment together. But the views? Man, they are unbelievable. The main terrace, with that famous wavy mosaic bench, gives you a perfect panoramic shot of the entire city stretching right down to the Mediterranean Sea. You can clearly see the Sagrada Família poking up through the buildings, framed by Gaudí's crazy architecture. We even hiked up to the Three Crosses at the top for a true 360-degree spectacle. It's beautiful, fun, and just a great place for a couple to spend a morning or afternoon soaking up the best of Barcelona. Definitely grab your tickets and go!

A bit empty inside, but the design of the rooms and architecture is well preserved, everything is well maintained. The best part of the Palace is the rooftop. I recommend buying ticket ahead online.

Our visit to Palau Güell was an unforgettable experience that exceeded our expectations. Designed by Antoni Gaudí, the palace immediately impressed us with its harmonious blend of grandeur and intimacy. Walking into the main hall, we were captivated by its soaring verticality and the way natural light filters through, creating a sense of both majesty and warmth. Every corner of the palace seemed carefully crafted to evoke wonder, and we found ourselves slowing down just to absorb the details. Overall, our time at Palau Güell left us deeply satisfied, and it quickly became one of the highlights of our trip a place we would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona.

My recent visit to the National Museum of Catalonia in Barcelona was truly inspiring. A lovely and charming gallery it is! The open space is impressive. Perhaps due to my rather dull nature, I don’t resonate much with Miró’s art, but one must stay open-minded to allow for growth in aesthetic perspective 😉. Some of the works do bring joy just by looking at them.

Established in 1929 for the Barcelona International Exposition, this expansive site features 117 meticulously crafted buildings representing diverse architectural styles from regions across Spain. As you wander through the streets reminiscent of Andalusia with white houses and blue pots, you'll encounter artisan shops, art galleries, restaurants, and live music venues.
We really enjoyed our time here. My husband was a little dubious it would be tacky and naff but it was lovely to spend the afternoon wandering the streets of Spain while not venturing far from Barcelona city centre. The little shops were great...we picked up a beautiful piece of artwork and tried some amazing sweet treats. The food offering was OK...nothing special but good enough. Highly recommend visiting here when you need a break from the bustle of Barcelona but still want to do something authentically Spanish.

i wish i liked this place more. i liked the concept of it, but i found very little to explore during my visit. i decided to come later in the day, because i had lots of other things planned in the morning and this was opened later. i had my ticket already purchased online, it was date-specific, and at the gate i was told the monastery was closed for a private event, so we couldn't visit that and the area surrounding it, which i found odd. i didn't know prior to my purchase this aspect. the artisans have mostly left by then (i got there at around 16h) and it felt very empty. i expected to appreciate the architecture, which i did, even though it had a slight tacky feeling. there were lots of english signs with explanations. the art museum was really wonderful, i loved the collection presented.

Stopped here during our Hop on Hop Off. I saw the pictures of the umbrellas & just had to see it! You have to purchasea ticket to enter. I believe it was $15 just to enter & freely walk around. We went on a Friday & surprisingly wasn't crowded. No line for tickets & once you're in is a huge place to walk around. Lots of stores were artsy & craft things which was really cool. Got a handmade purse that I used for the rest of the trip. Lots of restaurants around too. The buildings & architecture are just amazing! The area is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside!

Poble Espanyol is a great place for families in Barcelona. Kids love wandering through the charming little streets, watching artisans work, and joining the fun craft activities. There’s plenty of space to play, and it’s easy to spend a relaxed afternoon exploring together. They also host lots of family-friendly events throughout the year—festivals, workshops, and seasonal celebrations—which always add something special to the visit. It’s a warm, enjoyable spot that feels welcoming for all ages.

I love the festivals in here💯 I’ve been here so many times and it doesn’t disappoint. Don’t miss visiting Poble Espanyol even if there is no event there. The alleys are exceptional and you can enjoy walking by beautiful stores and cafes! I’m looking forward to the next festival in here to go🤞🏻

Google maps will tell you this is open till midnight, and while it may be, they stop renting audio guides after 7 pm (no online audio guide option) and many of the shops, galleries, attractions and restaurants close. It was still fun and interesting walking around the village, and finding an open restaurant to sip wine and people watch, while waiting for the magic fountain (nearby) at 9 pm. The reason for the 3 star review was the ticket agents provided misinformation (saying only one of the several restaurants was open - we saw 3 food trucks, 2 restaurants, a bar?, and a coffee shop open) and the paper map had audio guide numbers but not much other info on the buildings.
Michael S — Google review
Recommended if you are a family, a local who cannot travel throughout Spain, or a tourist who does not have time to travel all over Spain. If you have traveled all over Spain, it is not particularly interesting. If you have time to waste, it's best to visit when it's free: La Mercè, 48h open house bcn, etc. But you'll have to wait for 1-2 hours! Signs explain the different buildings and provide information about the regions represented. They regularly have themes (e.g., Halloween), but I recommend visiting without these themes to fully admire the Spain represented.

Sant Pau Recinte Modernista is a stunning modernist hospital in Barcelona, featuring colorful Moorish-style pavilions and beautiful gardens. Designed by the modernist architect Domenech Muntaner, it was originally built to replace medieval facilities and featured innovative patient distribution by sex and illness type. The hospital's outer courtyard boasts majestic buildings in Catalan Art Nouveau style, offering plenty of photo opportunities.
One of the most beautiful places I visited in Barcelona. The architecture is breathtaking—colorful tiles, stained glass, and domes that feel more like an art museum than a hospital. Walking through the gardens and pavilions was peaceful and not overcrowded like other spots in the city. A bit off the main tourist path, but absolutely worth it.
Axel — Google review
A beautifully restored and colorful old hospital. The atmosphere is great, and it’s fascinating to see what hospitals used to look like back in the days. Many of the buildings, rooms, and offices have been restored and can be visited. Lemon and lime trees grow all over the place, very charming and peaceful place (these days). An unusual place, I enjoyed it ☺️

This is one of Barcelona's hidden gems that you absolutely must see. The hospital complex is an exceptionally well-preserved architectural and artistic masterpiece, featuring beautifully maitained interiors and a charmin exterior with gardens and orange trees, palms... It's definitely a visit you will never regret.
Gregor Z — Google review
A truely hidden gem in Barcelona though it is not even on the top ten list for must seeing. The architectures of this previous hospital is beyond amazing. I wish they have more building's open to the public. Currently they have about ten buildings for showing. You could spend hours to enjoy them. In addition, the front gate of this museum is a very good spot for taking picture of the Sagrada Familia.
Barshan — Google review
From the outside it already looks great, but once you get inside — you see it’s much more than just a nice courtyard. The buildings are beautifully restored, with colorful mosaics, stained glass, and vaulted ceilings that feel more like a palace than a hospital. We didn’t use the audio guide — just walked around by ourselves — and still found it totally worth it. There’s a recreated hospital room from the 1920s, underground passages between the pavilions, and a calm atmosphere away from the usual tourist chaos. If you’re into architecture or just want a break from the crowd — this is a great spot. Quiet, spacious, beautiful.
Andrey M — Google review
Visited only because it is 15 mins walk near Sagrada Familia. Not good not bad, but once after visiting Sagrada Familia, this looks very average and there are much less tourists. Prefer spending your time in a cafe rather than visiting it, unless you are really interested. Or just have a photo without entering it. Consist of 7-8 buildings but only half of them are opened, not much to see and the chair are pretty dirty, i rate this 6/10

El Llums de Sant Pau was a magical experience! The place itself is beautiful with an amazing architecture and lovely open spaces, now with the light show and music feels even better and more special. What a wonderful experience

This was a former hospital turned museum which gave a lot of insight of the type of work this hospital was doing in the 1920s and beyond. There is also some artworks in there for you to explore. The architecture of the buildings are magnificent and are an attraction within itself

Parc del Laberint d'Horta is a neoclassical park in Barcelona, featuring an 18th-century garden, a 19th-century romantic garden, and a famous hedge maze. Nestled within the historic Desvalls estate, this elegant green space offers visitors a glimpse into regal history and architecture. The meticulously landscaped gardens are adorned with sculptures of Greek gods and goddesses.
I love this place. It's a wonderful break from the busyness of Barcelona. I visited 2 years ago and my only disappointment this visit was that they are in process of rebuilding the labyrinth. Despite the proximity of its neighbors it's still very tranquil and relaxing. I highly recommend it if you need a break.
Michael K — Google review
This park offers a delightful escape filled with winding paths and lush greenery, making it a perfect outing for families, especially those with kids. The maze is a big hit, encouraging playful exploration and sparking the imagination of little ones as they weave through the tall hedges. It’s not just about the maze; the whole area is well-maintained, providing plenty of space for picnics and relaxation, while the beautiful gardens add to the charm of the experience. Parents will appreciate the safe environment, allowing children to roam freely as they burn off some energy. The serene atmosphere combined with the vibrant colors of the plants creates a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Overall, it’s a lovely place that fosters both fun and tranquility for visitors of all ages.

If you want to go to a less crowded park than the ciutadella park, this one is the right one. It's a small, labyrinth designed park that is a little bit far from the center of Barcelona but worth a visit.
Wanderfly T — Google review
Visited this park today & am still absolutely apalled at its condition & the attitude of the workers. Unfortunately as we got there, they told us the labyrnith was under renovation, but since we travelled over half an hour to get there we thought we could still enjoy the rest of the park, & paid the 2.23eu entry. What a mistake; the whole park was under construction, either closed off or impacted by the noise of drills & yelling workers - it shouldn't even be open, let alone charging people! I'm not even sure with the full labyrinth there that it'd be worth it, given how small the plot for it is. The park is generally poorly maintained; I'm not sure a garden designer has stepped foot in the place. It looks like they grabbed some green plants & slapped them on some soil, & haven't bothered to clean or maintain it since. There's graffitti, & animal poop, & algae all over the water, & the statues & buildings could all do with a power wash; the water features don't even seem to be working properly. It has to be the worst park/garden I've ever been to, & to charge for it is a crime. We walked around for half an hour before we went back to ask for a refund. The short bald man & old heavy lady there made no attempt to communicate with us, & just kept pointing at signs in Spanish. I showed him photos of how disgusting the park was, & it he defended it. When my partner even tried to use written translations on his phone, this guy actually got out of his little booth & tried to physically threaten my partner, despite being two heads shorter than him. Those running this park should be ashamed of themselves. To those considering visiting, save yourself the trouble & avoid it!

We stumbled upon this on our first day after we arrived in Barcelona. It is chargeable about €2.00pp apart from Wednesdays and Saturdays I believe. Absolutely stunning buildings and fountains dating back to 1800s. I do have to say we thought there was a maze and waterfall but the maze is being renovated and the waterfall has dried up as there has been a drought for a long time now but worse in recent months :( Apart from that a beautiful place to take a lovely stroll in nature 🌿🪷🦋

The park is good overall but the specific area is under construction. Also a good picnic spot with benches and tables . A little playground with slides for kids. If you are coming on car Parking is available. With the price of tickets worth it. Palau del marqués d'Alfarras is also along the park it's free but only open on Wednesday and Sunday. You need to take an online appointment before visiting. I hope it helpful.😊

Good place to stroll for individuals and families to take a breather and get away from the noise from central Barcelona. Next to Campus Mundet - Universitat de Barcelona. Some gardens and infrastructure inside are still under construction and are closed during the weekends. Public toilets are clean, well maintained and open during weekends. Entrance fee is about €2 per person and can be paid at the gate entrance. Staff are courteous and friendly.
Jord S — Google review
This park offers a peaceful escape from city hustle with its stunning neoclassical garden, maze, fountains, and charming sculptures. The labyrinth itself is the main highlight! 🌀 Walking through the maze was so much fun, and reaching the center felt like a mini-adventure. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking for a unique experience. Apart from the maze, the park is beautiful and have ponds—making it an ideal spot for a relaxing stroll or a quiet picnic. 🦆🌿 📌 Things to Note: ✅ Entry is free on Sundays & Wednesdays (otherwise, there’s a small fee) ✅ Less crowded compared to other tourist spots ✅ Great for photography 📸✨ ✅ Bring some snacks & water for a relaxed visit If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of adventure, this park is a must-visit in Barcelona! 🌿🏛️ Would definitely go back! 😊

We went with our family to see the ballet at the Liceu, and it was an unforgettable experience. The theatre itself is absolutely stunning — full of history, elegance, and perfect acoustics. The atmosphere made the evening feel truly special. The performance was magnificent, both technically and emotionally, and the orchestra added so much depth to every scene. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. It’s wonderful to have such a cultural gem in the heart of Barcelona. We left deeply moved and inspired — we’ll definitely be back for future performances!

The Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona is a must-visit for any tourist, regardless of the performance quality or your familiarity with the repertoire. While the productions might not always align with your preferences, the real highlight is the stunning interior of the theater itself. Barceloneta Beach, the oldest beach in Barcelona, is a popular spot for swimming and lounging. It offers various services such as rental chairs, umbrellas, and Wi-Fi. The beach is located near prominent landmarks like the W Hotel and Aquarium de Barcelona. Visitors can also find art installations including the sculpture Homenatge a la Barceloneta. With its cool ambience and eclectic mix of people, it's considered one of the top beaches in Catalonia.
Came here at dawn so we didn't touch the sea nor there was much crowd. The atmosphere was calm and the air fresh. A perfect place to watch sunrise from the middle of the ocean, they built some convenient decks to do so.

Very big crowd, no sunbeds, you have to watch out for pickpockets and thieves, not my style unfortunately. The beach has fine sand, which is great, and the water is also beautiful, regardless of the fact that it is a city beach and that the port is not far away.

The boardwalk was very nice with people running, biking, or just strolling around. They had public restrooms, and restaurants underneath the boardwalk. The water was calm with very few swimmers since it was October and a chill was in the air. They had exercise equipment on a cement pad on the beach which was interesting. The industrial and boat activity so close by was not appealing to us. However, it was a nice walk.

Perched atop a mountain at 500 meters, Tibidabo offers breathtaking panoramic views of Barcelona. Accessible by cable car or bus, the mountaintop is home to the Tibidabo Amusement Park with 25 attractions suitable for all ages. After enjoying the park's offerings, visitors can ascend to the highest point to marvel at the Sagrat Cor Church and its iconic bronze sculpture of the Sacred Heart of Jesus overlooking the city.
In my opinion, it is worth a visit if you have several days in the city, especially because of the magnificent church that rises above the city like some guardian of Barcelona. In addition, there is also an amusement park for children, not so special I would say. The only thing missing from this place is the cafe, which was closed at the time of our visit, and it looked like it had been closed for a long time. However, you have a couple of small mobile places for food and drinks.
Sveto R — Google review
Tibidabo is one of the most iconic spots in Barcelona, combining history, culture, and fun. It all started with the first hermitage in the 19th century, later followed by the two beautiful churches that crown the mountain — the lower crypt and the impressive Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor on top. As the highest point in Barcelona, the views are simply breathtaking. On a clear day, you can enjoy a full 360° panorama of the city, the coastline, and even Montserrat in the distance. Getting there is easy and well organized: you can take the S1 or S2 train from Plaça Catalunya, connect with the funicular (paid), and finish the trip with bus 111. The whole journey is smooth and gives you a unique way to see the city from different perspectives. Beyond the church and views, Tibidabo also offers a charming amusement park, which is a fantastic option for families and kids, adding a playful touch to the visit. In short: a must-see in Barcelona — stunning views, beautiful history, and plenty to do for all ages.

Stayed at Tibidabo from midday till sunset — rides, views, food, and the kind of calm that reaches your soul. The city is very clean, the hospitality was great

Barcelona is wonderful. I loved this public square, it has great fountains and statues. A wide open public space that is enjoyed by very many people. A safe place to visit and an interesting one. Historic and colourful, this square lays in the heart of shopping districts and is easily accessible by public transport, both buses and trains. I spend several days in this area and saw that pedestrians are well looked after, with traffic lights to cross roads changing automatically after a short duration, with no one having to press buttons to cross. That should be more widely adopted elsewhere, it is a great idea, with pedestrian traffic and road traffic moving most harmoniously Like everything in Barcelona, it was excellent. Culture and artistry surround you here 🥰

Plaça de Catalunya (Catalonia Square) is the main central square and the beating heart of Barcelona, Spain. It serves as a major meeting point and a vital hub that separates the historic Gothic Quarter (Ciutat Vella) from the modern Eixample district. ⸻ Key Information and Attractions • Strategic Location: The square connects several of Barcelona’s most important streets and main avenues, including La Rambla, Passeig de Gràcia, and Ronda de Sant Pere, among others. • Transport Hub: It is one of the city’s main transportation nodes, with a large metro and train station beneath it that links to the rest of Barcelona and surrounding areas. • Sculptures and Fountains: The square features numerous beautiful fountains and artistic sculptures created by renowned Catalan artists, giving it a distinctive cultural charm. • Pigeons: Plaça de Catalunya is famous for its large flocks of pigeons, making it a popular spot for tourists and families to take photos and feed the birds. • Shopping and Entertainment: The square is surrounded by major department stores, shops, restaurants, and cafés, making it a lively center of shopping and social activity throughout the day. ⸻ Historical Background Plaça de Catalunya did not exist in Barcelona’s original city plan; it was an open area located outside the old city walls until the late 19th century. After the walls were demolished, the area was redeveloped into the central square we know today, symbolizing modern Barcelona and its urban core. The square is generally safe, even at night, thanks to its good lighting and the constant presence of people due to its central, vibrant location.

A nice place to visit any time of the day. This place is usually very busy and is near La Rambla street. It is also a major interchange station on the metro line. Good place to take photos. But be aware of pick pocket and scamsters , especially the ones who paint their face white and give balloons to kids .

Plaça Catalunya is a nice place with its fountains, lively terraces, many stores, and all the metro lines nearby. You can easily walk there through the famous La Rambla (where there is also the famous market la Boqueria) You’ll notice hundreds of pigeons (not sure how clean they are 😅), but many people enjoy feeding them and taking fun pictures. Tip: be mindful of pickpockets, just like in any big European city(I’m from paris). Still, I felt safe there! Right next the main area is the Barcelona City Hall Theatre .I watched an amazing flamenco show at a very affordable price (booked on TripAdvisor), but they also host other shows and concerts beyond flamenco.✌🏾

Montjuïc Castle, a 17th-century fortress and former prison, is perched atop Montjuic mountain in Barcelona. It offers impressive city views from its strategic position about 173 meters above sea level. The castle's history dates back to the 11th century when it started as a single watchtower. Over time, it evolved into a fortress with defensive walls and special rooms.
Went in Oct.2025, on a weekday, short lines. Beautiful, well kept castle from 1142. You have very scenic views from this, the highest point. Start here walk the towers, see the castle, then walk down to other sites, vs walk up steep streets. It will take about 1.5 hrs yo see it all well.
Lionel P — Google review
Montjuïc Castle is definitely worth a visit, especially for the breathtaking 360° views over Barcelona and the sea. The site is very well maintained and easily accessible — you can reach it by bus 150 from Plaça Espanya, by cable car, or by car. That said, as a castle, I personally expected a bit more. While the open spaces, walls, and viewpoints are beautiful, I felt it lacked historical exhibits — things like weapons, artifacts, or photographs that could bring more life to its rich past. A little more storytelling would make the experience even more engaging. Still, the location is fantastic, the views are absolutely stunning, and it’s a great spot to wander, relax, and take in the city from above. Entry is free for Gaudí Més members, with discounts available for children and seniors over 65. In short: not the most content-heavy castle, but for the views alone, it’s a must-see in Barcelona.
André L — Google review
Uhnn... The place is amazing. The views are hard to match. The fort (it's a fort, isn't it? Why do they call it a castle?) is very beautiful... but definitely not worth it the 12€ to get inside. Again, the location is amazing though. You can easily get there with the bus, 151 if I am not mistaken. When I went there during La Mercé 2024 there was an amazing comedy performance going on. Those guys were INCREDIBLE. And the organization of the event was flawless.

Visited Montjuïc Castle — definitely worth it for the amazing views of Barcelona and the sea. I took a taxi up for €13 and came back down by cable car (€12.5 one way). If you just want the experience, taking the cable car either up or down is enough — the view is fantastic both ways. There’s also a small café/restaurant on top, so no worries about finding food or drinks. A great spot for sightseeing, photos, and relaxing above the city!

Amazing 17th century castle (more of a fort if im being honest), so cool to see a structure like this in all it's glory, a lot of times ive visited castles and forts they're either partly or fully in ruins due to them having come under fire, so to see one like this in pristine condition is really something special, and on the day that I went the weather was impeccable so the views and visibility were as good as they get. I will mention one thing though the exhibits inside were under construction/renovation and yet the general entry price remained at €12, in my opinion if the whole experience isn't available they shouldn't be charging full price and should have a slight discount on to make up for the inconvenience, on the plus side if you go after 15:00 on a Sunday it's free so if you're not bothered about the day you want to visit I'd recommend going then and saving yourself €12

It’s extremely hot. I don’t recommend visiting on August month. The Castle itself is alright. There’s an ongoing construction so it was kind of noisy. The view is amazing, which we can still see without going inside the Castle as the route is uphill. We opted for the general admission. We would’ve probably enjoyed it more and understood the history if we did the guided tour. From their site: Admission Fees 1. General Admission: €12 2. Reduced Admission: €8 (for eligible individuals) 3. General Admission with Guided Tour: €16 4. Reduced Admission with Guided Tour: €12 Free Entry Children under 8: Free admission

She’s super old, has dramatic history and has all the views. She’s a melodrama. I’m kidding. She’s a castle. Originally built for war, now it’s just where people come to take selfies. Great place to feel powerful and irrelevant at the same time. Bonus: there’s a cannon you’re not allowed to climb on but will absolutely consider climbing on. The views are a must.

The Arc de Triomf in Barcelona is a triumphal arch designed by Josep Vilaseca as the main entrance gate for the 1888 Barcelona World Fair. This classical archway, built in Neo-Mudejar style with Islamic reddish brickwork, stands at the end of Park Ciutadela and served as the main gateway during the Universal Exhibition. Located near clothing shops and Chinese-owned restaurants, it's a popular spot for visitors due to its convenient location near public transportation.
A must visit monument in Barcelona, Spain. The place is always crowded with tourists and natives who just use the place for running and evening hangout. The place has multiple performers like singers and musician around which makes the experience even better! Recommend the place for anyone visiting Barcelona!

Scenic & Spectacular Arc de Triomf If you are in Barcelona this is definitely a must visit place for you. It is one of the most iconic Monument in Barcelona. This square is always frequented by both locals and tourist. It can get quite crowded. Note what I like about it is that it still feels quite local somehow. You will not regret visiting it is very grand.

Absolutely a landmark you should visit and admire as part of your trip to another destination (like getting lost in the gothic quarter, or on your way to the Museu Picasso, or on a hike to La Barceloneta). There are lots of people who will let you pay them for food to feed their birds (which is fun, albeit fleeting for a euro). Beautiful structure!
David K — Google review
Stunning building, great historic significance as it was built for one of the world fairs hosted in barcelona. Always worth to visit and take a walk nearby. It’s close to parc de la Ciutadella or “el born” where you can go for a nice stroll.

Popular tourist spot for selfies. Plenty of space to get whatever angle you want. Really quite nondescript, but I found the bat gargoyles on it pretty cool. It's within walking distance of other things on my loop, so just added it in. Expect plenty of people during tourist season.

Arc de Triomf is such a beautiful and vibrant place to visit in Barcelona. The architecture is stunning, and the atmosphere around it is full of life, with people walking, cycling, and enjoying the wide avenue. During the day, it feels bright and lively, and at night it becomes magical with the lights giving it a special charm. A perfect spot for photos, relaxing, and soaking up the city’s spirit. Truly an unforgettable part of Barcelona

A prominent attraction situated in the city centre. It is a red-brick triumphal arch. Free entry. Also must visit the Ciutadella park nearby.

Vibrant place, easy to access no wait time, no ticket purchase was necessary, activities and stalls, near walking distance to Parc de la Ciutadella, surrounded by many restaurants-cafes-public transportation. I liked it more than Paris Arc de triomf because it offers more than just the view of the monument.

Nestled at number 41 on the iconic Passeig de Gracia, Casa Amatller is a stunning example of modernista architecture that beautifully blends Catalan and Flemish styles. Designed by the renowned architect Josep Puig Cadafalch between 1898 and 1900, this vibrant residence was commissioned by chocolate magnate Antoni Amatller.
I really enjoyed visiting this house! The tours are small and really informative (I didn’t lose attention). So many beautiful details in every corner, floor, ceiling, etc. It was so nice to get the chocolate at the end too! We ended up buying more chocolates as they’re beautiful as well.

A true gem. I love its eclectic style, very different from the others on Passeig de Gràcia. With its mix of Gothic vibes, colorful tiles, and quirky details, it feels super original and full of character.

Not crowded like next door. It was owned by a chocolate manufacturer (chocolate sold when you exit museum). It was just three of us on a guided tour - you listen to audio guide but someone leads you around. The stained glass windows were beautiful.

You’ll want to buy tickets in advance if you do the tour. If not, I think it’s perfectly fine to admire from the outside. There’s many articles and explanations about it on the internet. Would recommend stopping by to see the famous spot, as it’s also close to other things like shopping.

Ciutadella Park, the first public park in Barcelona, was established in the late 1800s and is situated in the Ciutat Vella neighborhood. Originally designed by Josep Fontsere, it underwent modifications to accommodate the World Exhibition facilities and later to house the Barcelona Zoo. The park spans around 17 hectares and features attractions such as the Zoology Museum, Geology Museum, and Parlament de Catalunya within its grounds.
We loved this place! Beautiful park with plenty of space to walk around and take a step back from the busy streets of Barcelona. The fountain is really impressive. Absolutely beautiful. Only thing I would recommend would be make sure you have some water on a hot day. It’s not very covered and could use a touch more shaded areas IMHO. Other than that it was great!
Nick S — Google review
Very beautiful park, but some things could be better. There are a lot of sellers offering you things to buy every ten seconds, which is a little unpleasant. The greenery is very beautiful, the trees are mature and the constructions are gorgeous. The lake would be beautiful as it is but it is always packed with tourists on boats. The fountains work and they are really pretty, it is not too crowded and you will not mind all the tourists. The only esthetically unpleasing sight of the park are all the metal fences around the trees. There is a sign you cannot step on the grass but everybody is having a picnic on the grass, so do not worry too much about that. They dont really mind. There is a small shop where you can buy (overpriced, but that is to be expected) snacks and drinks. There a few toilets and I assume they work, but they are dirty and unpleasant and they do not have toilet paper, so bring a tissue. Overall a nice place to check out if you are in Barcelona and want a breath of chiller air. There is always a free bench to relax on.
Ira N — Google review
The place is a good park to spend some quality time with friends and family. Mostly used as a picnic place by locals and picture perfect location by the tourists. However the place is not well maintained, the fountains were not functional and the water was dirty with trash and green in colour. It has a good walkable path around the entire park with the structure and fountain being at its center. One more attraction will be the pond situated within the park with boating facility and a lot of ducks.
Ajay M — Google review
Ciutadella Park is one of the most beautiful places in Barcelona. There’s always something going on here—musicians, picnics, boat rides, and people just enjoying the sunshine. It’s full of life and charm all year round. My partner actually proposed to me here, so it’ll always have a special place in our hearts. A truly magical spot that I’ll never forget. Highly recommend visiting!

Parc de la Ciutadella is absolutely beautiful! 🌿✨ I visited Barcelona in August .I did a photoshoot and it’s the perfect spot if you want amazing pictures. The park is very clean, spacious, and full of charm. It’s located right next to the trendy El Born neighborhood, only about a 12–15 minutes walk from Barcelona’s port. And just across one of the park’s exits, you’ll find the stunning brick Arc de Triomf, another great place for pictures. If you have some time during your trip, this park is definitely worth a visit!
Maimouna S — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Parc de la Ciutadella is a must-visit in Barcelona! 🌿 Easy to access, no tickets or waiting — just walk in and enjoy the beauty. The park’s stunning fountain, peaceful lake with rowboats, and views of the nearby Arc de Triomf make it a perfect spot for a picnic or stroll. You’ll see families, couples, and street performers all adding to the lively atmosphere. It’s well-maintained and free to enter — just keep an eye on your belongings. A truly relaxing green escape right in the heart of the city!

This park was close to where we stayed and we stumbled upon it by luck. It is a well manicured and beautiful park with sculptures, greenhouses, playgrounds, fountains and even a zoo - this place is huge. Nestled at the southern tip of La Rambla in Barcelona, the Columbus Monument, or Monument a Colom, is an impressive tribute to Christopher Columbus and his historic journey to the Americas. Erected in 1888 for the Universal Exposition, this ornate Corinthian column reaches a height of 60 meters (197 feet) and features a striking bronze statue of Columbus himself, gesturing towards the sea as if guiding future explorers.
Review of the Columbus Monument (Barcelona, Spain) Overview: Standing proudly at the lower end of La Rambla, where the famous boulevard meets the sea, the Columbus Monument (Monument a Colom) is one of Barcelona’s most recognizable landmarks. Erected for the 1888 Barcelona Universal Exposition, this 60-meter (197-foot) tall tribute to Christopher Columbus points toward the New World—though with some historical irony, as he actually sailed from southern Spain, not Barcelona. Highlights & Things to Do: ✅ Statue & Column – The bronze statue of Columbus stands atop a towering Corinthian column, surrounded by intricate reliefs depicting his voyages. ✅ Viewing Platform – A small elevator inside the column takes visitors up to a 360° observation deck with stunning views of the harbor, La Rambla, and Montjuïc. ✅ Historical Significance – The monument symbolizes Spain’s Age of Exploration, though modern perspectives on Columbus’ legacy add complexity. ✅ Port Vell Gateway – The monument marks the entrance to Barcelona’s waterfront, making it a natural stop before exploring Port Vell, Maremagnum, or Barceloneta Beach. Verdict: ⭐ 4.0/5 – The Columbus Monument is worth a quick visit for the views and historical significance, though it’s more of a brief stop than a major attraction. Tips: Visit early in the day to avoid crowds. Combine it with a stroll along Port Vell or a seafood lunch in Barceloneta. If short on time, admiring it from the outside is enough.
Khandakar M — Google review
As with all things in Barcelona, beautiful architecture and detail in the buildings and monument. This is by the sea front at the harbour. We didn't go up the monument as we were heading out on a boat trip around the coastline and harbour, which was only a few yards away. There are lots of beautiful buildings in the area too.

The Christopher Columbus Monument in Barcelona is a grand memorial located at the lower end of La Rambla, overlooking the old harbor. It was built in 1888 for the World Exhibition to honor Columbus, who is believed to have presented the results of his first voyage to the Americas to Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand in Barcelona. Visitors can ascend to the top of the column via an internal elevator to enjoy panoramic views of the city and the harbor. • Location: Situated at Portal de la Pau Square, where La Rambla meets Passeig de Colom. • Purpose: Constructed as part of Barcelona’s coastal improvement works for the 1888 World Exhibition. • Design: • The column stands 60 meters high. • It features Barcelona’s first hydraulic elevator, taking visitors to the upper viewing platform. • At the top stands a statue of Columbus pointing toward the Americas, with the word “Tierra” (“Land”) inscribed on its base.
Ahmed A — Google review
The Columbus Monument is a great landmark to visit while exploring Barcelona. It’s beautifully detailed, easy to find at the end of La Rambla, and surrounded by lots of things to see and do. The elevator ride to the top is quick, and the panoramic views of the harbor and the city are definitely worth it—perfect for photos and a short break from walking. It’s not a long attraction, more of a quick stop, but still a nice piece of history and architecture. If you’re nearby, it’s absolutely worth visiting.
Fatih K — Google review
Beautiful monument and plaza, from the base you can see the cablecars going from the marina to Montjuic and apparently after reading some reviews you can actually pay to go inside and visit the top which i never knew and would've done if I knew before going, I teally just thought it was a monument but apparently its a viewpoint too which is pretty cool.

The Barcelona History Museum MUHBA, located in the Gothic Quarter, offers a captivating journey through over two thousand years of history. It showcases Roman ruins in its cellars and features a wide array of ancient artifacts, objects, and artworks. The museum provides a deeper understanding of Barcelona's rich history and is a must-visit for those interested in delving into the city's past.
Really enjoyed the MUHBA museum – it gives you a great overview of Barcelona’s history, from the Roman Empire all the way to the present and future of the city. The underground Roman ruins were especially fascinating, and if you’re into history, it’s definitely worth a visit. It wasn’t crowded at all when I went, and the entry price (7.30€ for adults) felt very fair. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing is that it’s not a huge museum – even taking it slow and reading a lot, I was done in about 2.5 hours. Still, a great way to spend a few hours in the city.

It is a great place to learn about the Roman history in general and the history of Barcelona in particular. The museum is designed according to historical records. The visitors explore history through different layers of excavation, each belonging to a different period. It start from Roman era and goes through various periods in Barcelona’s history. In upper floors they have a nice collection of items from contemporary times.
Amin M — Google review
This is an absolutely brilliant museum. I only had an hour and could easily have spent 2 or more. The first part of the tour “flashback” is a fantastic potted history and is well curated and so interesting. You then head upstairs to the views outside over the plaza. Wonderful! Then you take the lift ( which is not well signed , clearer directions would help) to the ancient remains underground. So intriguing and the walkway is so well constructed with glass areas. It was a little confusing and I had issues finding the exit. Again clearer and more signs would help. Finally tou go to the church which is lovely with a wonderful altarpiece. Well worth the admission price.

Ok, honestly, this is the best museum I ve been in my life. I am not overreacting. I spent 3 days there. Literally. I went on three different sundays last year and I still haven't seen everything. I cried at the ruins. Everything is so well preserved and cared of. The elevated paths, the descriptions. I love the contrast between the sections of the museum. Classic Barcino, Medieval Barcelona, Modern Barcelona... Amazing! And to know I aquired so much knowledge... for free (the museum is free on sunday). One of the best things about this city is the amount of museums.

Delightful mercat for fresh seafood, ham, cheese and anything else you’d want for a picnic. I went specifically for sashimi and shrimp. That shrimp was delectable and so big it was like a mini lobster. Scallop, salmon, and tuna are also worth trying. Don’t bother with the oysters. It’s grainy and tastes like murky dock water. They provide toothpicks, but I recommend bringing your own chopsticks and wet wipes. Spent ~€42 for all that seafood. It was more than I needed for one person. No regrets (except for the oysters). There’s a lack of seating unless you go to one of the restaurants or bars to eat. Otherwise there are a couple of benches inside or outside, but not a lot. Also no washrooms unless you go to an establishment.

Perched atop the hills of Barcelona, Bunkers El Carmel is a hidden gem offering a 360-degree panoramic view of the city. Once a shelter during the Spanish Civil War, this site has become a popular spot for watching breathtaking sunsets and capturing stunning photographs. While it's best to avoid crowds by visiting on foot and during the day, the effort is rewarded with an unforgettable experience.

I can't believe I lived in Barcelona for years without coming to this place. It's a hilly hike if you come from the Carrer de Tenerife entrance, but nothing impossible. The view from up there is stunning, you can see the whole grand Barcelona metropolitan area and even one of the Balearics islands. It gets crowded but it adds to the experience. Police came at 7pm sharp and kicked everyone out. The bus 22 right around the corner ar Carrer de la Gran Vista gets you up and down. Very worth it. Bring some beers and enjoy the sunset.

Amazong view of Barcelona. You can see everything. I would recomend to go on top of the bunkers and stay there for a couple of minutes to admire the view and after i would go down the stairs and stay at the bridge under rhe bunkers. The view is the same but there is no people. When we visited the police came at 17:40 to close the bunker so i would recomend the other option that is 50 meters down the stairs. It is worth it

Amazing views! Highly recommended. A bit crowded so it’s better to go a bit earlier and find a good spot to sit and enjoy
Asa Q — Google review
Very nice view over the city of Barcelona. The walk to the top takes about 10–15 minutes and is quite steep. You can also take a bus instead. At the start of the route, there are small shops where you can buy drinks and snacks. Important to know: you can stay there until 7 p.m. and it can get very crowded in good weather.
Andy V — Google review
Great view. There is a bus that gets you most of the way there, but you need to walk for 5 minutes. Police showed up right after the sunset, not sure if it's because of noise complaints or to prevent injuries as there are a lot of random rocks scattered at the top and you need to "parkour" sometimes 😂.
Hrvoje H — Google review
Lovely spot to enjoy the sunset. You can bring your own snacks and drinks and relax while watching the sun go down over the beautiful city of Barcelona

Located on Mount Tibidabo, the Tibidabo Amusement Park is Spain's oldest amusement park and one of the first ever built in the world. With 25 rides, restaurants, picnic areas, and exceptional views of Barcelona, it offers a fun-filled experience for visitors of all ages. The park has been continuously updated with new attractions such as the Pendulum freefall ride and a hot-air-balloon-style ride for children.
MUST DO IN BARCELONA!! The views are breath-taking!! My kids absolutely loved every minute. The rides were so fun and different. Great for all ages, mine are 3-14 years old. Everyone was happy the whole day.

Tibidabo Amusement Park is such a fun and unique experience. It sits high above Barcelona, so even before you get on a ride, the views alone are worth the trip absolutely stunning panoramic views of the entire city and the Mediterranean Sea. The park itself has a mix of classic, vintage rides and newer attractions, which gives it a really charming, old-school feel. It’s not a massive thrill park like Disneyland, but it has a lot of character and is perfect for a fun day out. The iconic Ferris wheel and the plane ride are must-dos, especially for the photos! Getting there takes a little effort with the funicular, but it’s part of the adventure and totally worth it. Great spot for families, couples, or anyone who wants a memorable experience with gorgeous scenery. A magical place above Barcelona! 🎡✨

A church about 30 minutes from the city center, located on a hill with stunning views overlooking all of Barcelona. For just €5, you can climb to the top — definitely worth it! Highly recommend visiting at sunset for beautiful scenery. Don’t forget a jacket, as it can get quite windy and chilly up there.

Excellent panaromic view of Barcelona . Must go before setting of the sun so you will see both golden hours and night view of the city. If you have kiddo will love that place because this place is also a amusement park. Grab a coffee (only 2 euros at buffet) and enjoy the view. We used funiculare to get there and it is very comfy way to reach top. It is 13.5 euros.
Okan Y — Google review
Looks cool and you can spend some time there, especially if you have kids. If you want to have some fun up there then i do recommend to bring your courage with you :)). The view of Barcelona is spectacular. If you try the churros there, prepare to be disappointed, they are not the best, but if you do buy some, at least buy the hot chocolate, instead of the chocolate topping, trust me,it's way better
Babuscov S — Google review
Tibidabo is a beautiful amusement park on top of a mountain. At it’s peak there is a cathedral that you can visit, allowing you to go to the top of the building to have an amazing view over Barcelona. The admission fee is also very cheap. Don’t expect top of the line thrilling attractions on the top level (lower level attractions require an additional ticket if they are open). Top level attractions are solely focused on giving you a great view. With that being said, I highly recommend going here when you’re visiting Barcelona.
Tristan W — Google review
Very nice place on top of barcelona. We paid 60 euro 2 adults and 1 child. We played 5 games since most of them had many waiting times. It was overall a good experience. They have cafe and snacks at the top as well. It is a nice place to spend the day

Very nice olace to visit. Went by a car and 18 euros for parking. Long line for the rollercoster but a great 3d ride. People taking place for 8 more people in line even if posters saying it not allowed. No special food sold there so reccomend taking with you as it has a nice picnic area. The rides are all very nice but staff is slow and so longer waiting time.

Nestled in the heart of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter, the Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi is a stunning example of Catalan Gothic architecture that captivates visitors with its rich history and striking features. This magnificent church, located on Placa del Pi, boasts the largest rose window in Catalonia—a breathtaking sight that was meticulously restored after being damaged during the Spanish Civil War.
A small unimpressive basilica that seems nobody cares. It's simple and very neat. A good place for worshipping as it is quiet and tourist free. The amazing thing for me, as a visitor passing by, is subir the bell tower, to the tip top, and get 360° stunning views, for €8.
Connie W — Google review
I don’t care about religion at all, in fact I thinks it’s generally pretty terrible. BUT as far as getting a 360 degree view of the city, this is unreal and well with the 8euro. The 270 stairs are split up by floors to check out the bells but the view is the best. No screens, no barriers just a fantastic view of all of Barcelona. Highly recommend going up.
Peter K — Google review
We were able to get the tour in the winding stair case up to the top of tbr bell tower. It is an amazing place well worth the visit.
Phillip W — Google review
My family we had the most amazing experience the best experience of the trip to Barcelona, seeing the basilica from within and to the rooftop with we had a breathtaking view of the city through the almost 300 steps we had to use to reach the top, amazing.

Went to Luminiscence at Basilica de St Maria del Pi. 6pm show/digital music. It's an incredible light show with audio depicting the history of the church. Absolutely beautiful! Doesn't matter where you sit, you'll get a great view/show. The basilica is a gorgeous church, with intricate details. And then adding the detailed light show - Absolutely amazing. Don't miss when in Barcelona. These pics are beautiful on their own. Wait till the show starts!

I was a solo traveler when I wandered into this beautiful cathedral in 2022. It was November, and I happened to be the only person there, quietly taking in this smaller gem of a cathedral in busy Barcelona. I was feeling a little lonely and sad, thinking about my dog of 17 years who had recently passed. It was a cool day, and I sat in a quaint little courtyard on the side of the church when a sweet grey cat came over and kept me company. In that moment, I decided that when I returned home, I would adopt a cat. I came back to Barcelona last month, three years later, and guess who I saw again? I learned her name is Lucy, and she lives there. Lucy, I am so grateful to you. You are the sweetest. I now have two lovely cats at home because of the comfort you gave me that day. If anyone visiting or from the cathedral happens to see this, please give Lucy some extra love from me and my kitties.

Nestled in the tranquil Pedralbes neighborhood of Barcelona, the Monastery of Pedralbes is a stunning example of Catalan Gothic architecture that dates back to 1326. This serene convent, which opened its doors to the public in 1983, features an exquisite three-storey cloister and a chapel adorned with beautiful decorations by Bassa.
Beautiful and serene place, worth a visit despite being out of the way. Keep in mind google maps won't lead you to the entrance; to find it you'll have to continue your journey relying on your intuition and divine guidance.
Tanya B — Google review
It's a lovely location with a beautiful cloister. Unfortunately the main chapel with the stained glass windows is not open to the public. Not sure if it was temporary or not but it didn't include it on the provided map as a place to go. Included on the Barcelona Tourist Card.
Marcus N — Google review
It's an absolute gem of a place. Beautiful building with incredible history. So worth a day trip but.... sadly, it was kind of ruined. They had a school group there, and their behaviour was abominable. The teachers would not control them, the security guards seemed too busy on their mobiles to actually ask for these young people to show some respect for where they were. Yelling, calling out, screaming, and laughing. AND singing. Completely disrespectful to where they were and the other people who had gone to see what is actually a sacred place. So, choose your time and to the management... ensure guests give your monestary the respect it deserves. These disrespectful kids never would have gotten away with it in Italy, Rome, Greece... Australia! Magical place... needs to be treated with more respect from the locals and its custodians.
Mark A — Google review
The monastery was nice and peaceful, with a beautiful cloister and quiet surroundings. It’s a good spot if you enjoy history and calm spaces, but overall it didn’t feel particularly impressive or memorable. The architecture is elegant but not striking, and the museum exhibits were not engaging. You may pay a visit if you’re nearby, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. We didn’t pay for tickets because in the summer they offer free entry, which made the visit feel more worthwhile.
Isha S — Google review
Great experience! During my visit there werent a crowds, personel was polite, tickets for disabilities for free, stuning architecture and nature, accessible for disabilities, the only problem were slopy and rocky road to the monastery; there were lifts inside the building so as a person with disabilities i could see every floor of this building.

The Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, originally designed for the 1929 World Exhibition in Barcelona, is a significant architectural landmark that embodies the Modernisme movement. Constructed with glass, steel, and various marbles, this pavilion has been an influential inspiration for generations of architects. Although it was initially dismantled after the exhibition, it was later reconstructed in the 1980s due to its recognition as a key work of modern architecture.
Architectural + historical must see when in Barcelona. Don’t expect to much if you’re not into design or architecture. If you are into it’s definitely worth visiting. Tickets are very affordable + you can learn something about pre world war movements & how modern architecture started branching.
Taïma M — Google review
If you're an architect geek it is recommended just to see an icon in person. If you have the spare time and want to take in some modernist approaches to open-room communal space give it a go. If you're looking for a gift for an architecture-connaisseur the gift shop will sort you out. But if you don't care about either, you can always take in a moment of peace and contemplation, just walk around the place and take it in without having to go in.
Kaya H — Google review
A fantastic architectural structure that was way ahead of its time. The contrast with other buildings built nearby for the same International Exhibition in 1929 is especially striking. I am glad that this Ludwig Mies van der Rohe Pavilion was reconstructed in the 80s, and we can admire its light geometric forms. On the edge of the pool there is a sculpture, its curves contrasting with the clear lines of the building and repeatedly reflected in the water and glass. The famous Barcelona chairs are also here. The Pavilion has a nice souvenir shop where you can buy things in the aesthetics of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe's architecture. There are few people, the place is very quiet, creating a meditative mood.
Olga I — Google review
It’s a very interesting house. People that like the bauhaus school of design will appreciate it. I entered on an open Sunday (every 1st of the month) when it was free. I had a good 5-10 minutes of looking around. The house is kind of tiny, so don’t plan much time for it. Also, I am not sure I’d be happy with the experience if I had to pay for it. Once again, there isn’t all that much to see. Only its significance related to historic events like the world fair for which it was built makes it interesting to me.
Sebastian S — Google review
What an utter disappointment. We traveled from across the world to visit the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion and there was an exhibition in the space of someone’s aunt’s old furniture upside-down. Literally, sofas, sinks, tables, etc. attached to the ceiling, on the walls, and attached to the floor. I cannot believe this was allowed to happen. It totally distracted and covered up the Pavilion itself. It’s like nobody who runs the Pavilion had any notion of WHAT the Pavilion is or the meaning behind it and just let someone schlep their old furniture inside. The beauty is in the building itself but we couldn’t see it because someone moved all their trash into it. Mies is rolling in his grave right now I’m sure. Literally awful.
Kevin J — Google review
Visited on a relatively quiet Tuesday in September. Had an architecturegasm and left. I mean, there's a book shop that I'm sure is lovely, but I didn't visit. TBH I was a bit skeptical about visiting, cause who wants to live in a glass box?! ;-), it hurts to admit it but it's amazingly good. I walked around, shared some knowing looks with other middle aged men and took more photos than I'm comfortable admitting to, then returned to tell my long suffering wife all about it.

Nice rebuild of the German Pavillon of the world exhibition 1929. Some explanations sound over interpreted in my opinion. However a must see in Barcelona if you are interested in architecture.

Mercat de Sant Antoni is a vibrant market located in the Sant Antoni neighborhood of Barcelona. The market originally opened in 1882 and underwent an extensive refurbishment, reopening nine years later. It offers a wide range of fresh products including Spanish cured meats, cheeses, fruits, and vegetables beneath its original octagonal domed ceiling. This market is larger than Boqueria and is beloved by locals for its diverse offerings.
Fresh market with nice architecture and nostalgic atmosphere around the area. I love this ambient of the market and outside. Lovely neighborhood. They have several stalls selling local fruit and vegetable also the meat product. Olive and Jamon are also available here and it's more reasonable price than the famous market. There are several cafe and restaurant around the market and it taste so wonderful. Easy access from the subway. Enjoy !

A nice quite place to shopping away from the busy streets like la Rambla. Went there on a Monday but many shops were closed. Its not bust as La Boqueria and less shops than la Boqueria. The shop vendors are friendly and are happy to help. They have a good selection of fresh olives , meats, spices and other fresh produce. The place is very clean and peaceful. Nice place to shop if you want a quite and less busy place. It is just 4 minutes walk from the San Antoni metro station.

Fantastic local mercato similar to the big famous “La Boqueria” on La Rambla , but much less touristy and much more authentic with locals. The beautiful structural building has been fully restored a year or two ago and it’s immaculate. There are lots of food stalls with meats, fish, seafood, and fresh vegetables & fruits all perfectly laid out and perfect to photograph. There are some tapas restaurants where you can dine with the locals and experience superb food at reasonable prices. The neighbourhood surrounding the market is interesting too, and full of local tapas bars and cafes, and shops. Having been to both markets, I do prefer this experience over the bigger touristy one.

Very clean and inviting..reception staff very attentive. Excellent english and couple of them taught me some spanish. Rooms spacious..well furnished..very comfortable large bed..much bigger than King Size and quite lengthly..as Im 6ft..was much appreciated. Large bathroom with bath... overhead shower..screen ....toilet and bidet. Room cleaners thorough and very pleasant. Breakfast had wonderful selection of choices..basically anything you could think of and more..staff again wonderful...all staff acredit to the hotel. We were based on the 7th floor..rooftop pool on the 8th..although not a large pool..it was very clean..the decking around pool however needs some attention..raised screws in places..I cut my foot on one!! Great views from rooftop pool area towards beach area (although you cannot see the beach..its only a 15 minute stroll away). Pictures below views towards beach area. Conclusion..I highly rec comend this hotel....enjoy your stay...I cannot wait to return there.

The port provides a great area to relax away from the city and also gives you access to a lovely ice cream shop just on the corner. They are currently undergoing works to redevelop the area. There are also construction works along the promenade, although this doesn’t stop access to the stores. Once completed, hopefully they open the restaurants again with maybe some new additions are. All in all, very nice area to visit and spend a few hours walking along the beach and looking at the boats in the marina.
