Spiaggia di Maria Pia is a famous beach known for its clean, white sand and clear waters that stretch over a kilometer long. The area offers exciting activities such as exploring Neptune's Grotto, visiting vineyards and wine cellars, and enjoying the narrow cobblestone streets and golden shorelines.
Very nice beach without seaweed. Clean, pleasant, there are trees you can hide in their shade. The most beautiful beach in Alghero
Grzegorz J — Google review
Excellent beach, clean water, can be very crowded between 10 and 4 this time of uear but still lovely! If you walk until the very end, less people and more space.
Patricia M — Google review
Beautiful beach. It is wide and long enough for plenty of people to use. There are also trees in the beginning which provide sufficient shade.
Luky J — Google review
I'm not sure where Maria Pia ends and Fertilia beach starts, but the closer you get to Fertilia, the beach becomes calmer and the parking - free (the part with the palm trees by the road, not with the pines). Unfortunately the free beach areas are not clean from algae, as everywhere in Sardinia.
Annice W — Google review
One of our favourite beaches in the region! The sand is really fine, the beach itself and the water are clean. There are few beach bars and plenty of space for your own umbrella. ☀️🌊⛱️ You can use the public transport to come to the beach from Alghero. 🚌
Google review
Beautiful beach with free areas. The water is crystal clear and gradually deepens, and the shore is covered with soft sand. Even on the weekend, it wasn’t too crowded.
Dóra J — Google review
Very nice, long and sandy beach with pine trees 👍🏻
Radek E — Google review
This was a beautiful beach with clear, greenish blue water. The water gets deeper very gradually and the waves are gentle. There are some rocks for decent snorkeling on one side of the beach. There was a fenced parking lot across the street where we paid 10 Euros for all day. There was a row of parking spaces in front of the beach, but I’m not sure if they were free. Many parked along the road. There is a beach bar with nice drinks. There is a toilet behind it. Also, there are a small number of sunbeds you can rent.

Located in the Alghero City Centre, Torre del Portal – Torre di Porta Terra is a property offering allergy-free accommodations. It's conveniently situated near popular attractions such as Cathedral of St Mary the Immaculate and Spiaggia di Las Tronas. The tower, also known as Porta Real, stands as the only surviving tower not in the sea after others were dismantled.
I can't recommend this tour enough. Our local guide brought us through the town and explained the history of the town, some anecdotes of growing up in Alghero and the language. We availed of the 60 minute walking tour offered in English for approximately €12. They have a chart on the entrance gate that displays the times of the tours in various languages for the upcoming week. No reservation necessary but they seem to be a small team so it may be based on demand or subject to cancellation on short notice.

The tower contains the tourist information office. It is one of seven surviving towers that were once part of the medieval walls of Alghero.

(Translated by Google) Raffaele and his passion. The streets of Alghero are wonderful, full of craft shops and restaurants. But when you walk with someone who can tell you the secrets of the city as Raffaele managed to do, you fall even more in love with this little Sardinian gem that is Alghero. We transported ourselves back in time, to Giudicale Sardinia. A visit of almost two hours around the historic center of Alghero. Highly recommended, the best activity we did in Alghero.

(Translated by Google) The tower hides inside a group of local guides, with whom it is possible to take a guided tour of the city for 12 euros. Without online reservation or booking, very convenient! The visit lasted about 3 hours in which we discussed a lot about the history of Alghero but did not visit the city very much. It was in fact very interesting to listen to the guide but perhaps we would have preferred to see more « hidden gems » of the city. Nothing to take away from the professionalism and infinite knowledge of our guide!

Lots of historical and architectural information, and little anecdotes. The city will definitely remain in my heart and mind. Highly recommended, and the price was fair! (Translated by Google) Once the gateway to the fortified city of Alghero during Aragonese rule, it is now home to a tourist information point run by the municipal administration, which organizes daily city tours (the schedule is displayed on a sign outside the tower). While the tower itself is an important symbol and crucial to understanding Alghero's history, this review focuses specifically on the tour, for which we were fortunate to have Raffaele as our guide. He took us on a stroll through the city streets, skirting the walls and bastions, and provided detailed historical and modern accounts, not without food for thought, all with great openness, intellectual honesty, and friendliness. A relaxed and extremely interesting tour, I recommend it to anyone visiting Alghero, to understand the connections between the history of an impregnable fortress-port, yet for centuries isolated from the rest of Sardinia, and open only to the sea, and the present day.

Beautiful place for kids and even grown ups. Climbing entertainment. Huge area to play and BBQ. Even during lunchtime it doesn’t get hot.

(Translated by Google) Discovered by chance because it was not well signposted, while we visited the "Le Bombarde" beach, near Alghero. It is an adventure park that proved to be perfect for our daughters, aged 5 and 8, who tried their hand at two different routes. Gianni, our instructor, prepared, precise and "sergeant" to the right degree, prevented anyone from getting hurt and thus left room only for fun. More challenging routes for adults, a bar and Beach Bus stop right in front complete a nice positive picture. It is certainly an interesting alternative to days at the beach, it allows you to spend half a day with an alternative activity, in the cool of the pine forest, at 8 meters above sea level. If you pass by here, give it a try! It's worth it!

Spiaggia di San Giovanni is a fascinating beach located at the city center, offering a splendid shoreline bordered by a beautiful promenade of pine trees and a cycle path that leads to the charming old town. The fine white sand and contrasting blue sea water make this beach exceptionally picturesque. Unlike many others, it provides amenities such as umbrellas, beach chairs, beds, and loungers for rent.

Beautiful beach in Alghero. We went to this beach few times because was so close to our apartment. Great place and service here with sun-beds and parasol, lots of options here for food and drinks also ice cream and pubs, pharmacy and supermarkets. Highly recommend this place for families
Thiago A — Google review
Peaceful beach on the North side of Alghero in the way to Fertilia with an amazing sky and spectacular views of Alghero's gulf. If the smell of seaweed of Il Lido beach bothers you, this one may be more suited for your taste as the smell is much softer. Pitifully, the bar on one side of the beach put the music at max volume and the sea wasn't hearable. Very fine grain sand. The bus stop is just in front.
Alex S — Google review
This beach has only beautiful sunsets. Despite this, it is noisy from many bars' music, water is cold and stinks of seeweed, which is of course everywhere, close to the water is overcrowded, this is not smoking free zone, so you end up inhaling cigarete fumes, no public toilet and showers (only tap to wash your feet). Summary: was there once and never came back.
Grzegorz K — Google review
Visited the beach on a warm day in mid-October, no crowds, clear water and nice views. The reviews for the beach ate mixed, I guess it depends on the conditions when you visit and if it is high or low season. For a day like today this beach is great.

La Saletta is a charming restaurant located in a residential street near the sea, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. Originally established as a simple trattoria in 2009, it has since evolved into an elegant and well-furnished dining space with attentive service. The menu features traditional Sardinian dishes made with carefully selected ingredients and modern culinary techniques. Guests can choose from three tasting menus or opt for à la carte selections.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. Exceptional in all respects. Unexpected / unplanned find when visiting for a long weekend from Bologna. We were treated to a delicious culinary experience of inventive takes on Sardinian cuisine. Service was fantastic - the chef came out and described every dish in detail. Ambiance was perfect - elegant and well curated space without being stuffy. Price to quality ratio is impressive, with an excellent wine list- something good available in a wide range of budgets. I expected to pay a lot more for this type of meal. 1000% recommend to everyone that goes to Alghero.

🌟 A 5-Star Plus Experience at La Saletta, Alghero 🌟 Our evening at La Saletta was nothing short of remarkable. We chose the tasting menus Memoria and Radici, each offering a thoughtful journey through flavors, textures, and culinary innovation. While both menus demonstrated exceptional creativity, Memoria stood out with its depth and execution—an experience simply incomparable. From our perfectly placed table overlooking the kitchen, we enjoyed a theatrical view of the chefs at work, adding an extra layer of immersion to the evening. The dishes themselves were artful, showcasing elements of spherification and a tasteful fusion between modern techniques and traditional roots. Each plate brought surprise and delight, meticulously paired with an intriguing bottle of local red wine that complemented both the regular and vegetarian courses seamlessly. The hospitality was top-tier. Staff introduced every dish with genuine passion and professionalism—infused with a wonderful sense of humor that made us feel entirely at ease. A special mention must be made for the welcome extended to our dog Toffee, who was treated with care and warmth from the moment we arrived. As the evening came to a close, the chef’s warm wave goodbye was the cherry on top of an unforgettable dining experience. La Saletta isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a memory-maker. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+ Highly recommended.

Our table had mixed reviews - so the rating is an average between my boyfriend’s 4.5⭐️ and my 3.5⭐️ We had the “Memoria” menu with a wine pairing. I personally found the starters and desserts very good, but the mains were somewhat disappointing, the fish and chicken ravioli in particular. The wine pairing was interesting, however it included one too many biodynamic wines for my taste, two of which we found to be pretty sour. The interior is nicely decorated and the staff is nice and attentive, so I think it is still a good option for a fine dining experience in Alghero, but you can probably get better value for money elsewhere if you value taste above all else.

La Saletta is not just a restaurant, it is a unique food experience. Using the best of local ingredients the chefs craft amazingly innovative dishes which surprise and delight. The staff are warm and welcoming and explained the contents of each course without pomposity. The wine pairing is well worth the extra and complimented the food. We ate here on a visit last year and often thought of the excellent meal throughout the year and undoubtedly we shall recall this meal throughout the coming year.

La Saletta offers an exceptional six-course dining experience marked by elegance and creativity and takes you on a culinary adventure. The setting is sophisticated and inviting, perfect for a refined dining experience. Attentive and knowledgeable staff enhance the meal with expert explanations and recommendations. La Saletta is a top choice for those seeking an extraordinary meal, combining impeccable service with a brilliantly crafted menu. The dining experience at La Saletta is a luxurious one, with a price point reflecting its premium quality and exceptional service. It’s an investment in an unforgettable culinary journey.

One of the best meals I've ever had. (Including the best Rosé I've ever tasted.) Smart, compelling inventive dishes with a real sense of surprise and wonder. Celery Sorbet? A fresh Basil juice/sauce? Brilliant work. We were a tricky table, a coeliac who can't eat eggs and someone who doesn't eat fish, with one person ordering the default meal. They engaged enthusiastically to ensure everyone had a perfect experience. An absolute masterpiece, I've been lucky enough to eat in two Michelin star restaurants in the last month. This was better than either. Bravo!

My wife and I came here (in September 2022) as a recommendation from a hotel staff member at a resort we were staying at, and the experience we got at La Saletta was one of the highlights of our honeymoon. From the 1) lovely staff members, 2) the ambiance of the restaurant, 3) to the food, it was such a memorable evening. The staff members were professional, friendly, and very attentive. Especially the main hostess/waitress -- she played a big role in making the menu tasting experience lovely. The got us a complimentary dish and a welcome drink. The ambiance of the restaurant was exactly what we were looking for -- a fine dining experience that felt very approachable. We got a great seat, sitting right by the window to outside AND into the kitchen where we got to watch the Chef curate each dish like a surgeon. Watching a piece of art work in-the-making brought this experience to another level. Lastly, the food.. We opted for the tasting menu and not only was the display of the food amazing, but the taste was equally incredible. This was our last night in Alghero, and the previous couple of nights, we were disappointed with some of the other restaurants we went to in the town. They had great reviews online but the reality was different. La Saletta helped salvage our dining experience in Alghero. I highly recommend coming here for the tasting menu experience.

This place is magical. The chef is a pure genius. His creations are inventive yet approachable, and absolutely wondrous to eat. We tried the Rivoluzione (sp?) tasting menu with wine pairings, and it was a divine journey through so many wonderful flavors inspired by local foods and culture, and beautifully presented. My husband and I both agree this is the best meal we’ve ever had. Thank you so much to our waiter, the staff and chefs for an experience we’ll always remember. 🙏🏻

A great seafood restaurant with a stunning view is Bar Ristorante Mirador - la Fortezza del Sole. The interior decor and candlelit outdoor tables in the evening make it a perfect place to relax and enjoy the delicious food. They offer great fish, delicious spaghetti with lobster, and friendly service.

Paella was pretty good especially for the price and location. You expect to pay way more on the waterfront but at 25eur a person it was really good value. We went on a Sunday night and there was a DJ that added a great atmosphere. At 10pm it turns into a silent disco and many people were us dancing. Highly recommend

A beautiful picturesque restaurant in an incredible location! The food was excellent and the menu was exciting. I wanted to try everything. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is the service was slow and the staff weren't that attentive. We probably would have had another round of drinks with our meal but the staff were always elsewhere. Unfortunately we were there from a cruise and the meal took so long we didn't have time to explore Alghero properly. So, if you have time, this is a fantastic place to eat. If you have a time limit i'd eat elsewhere.

My friends food (pasta with shellfish) was undercooked and inedible. My lasagna was actually decent, but would not recommend coming here at all.

The food was genuinely lovely, unfortunately the customer service was extremely poor. My partner and I had our plates cleared within a minute of finishing our meals. About 5 minutes later we both finished our drinks. We were planning on having another round of drinks and dessert, but 15 minutes went by and none of the 3 front of house staff had made any effort to ask us if we wanted anything else. They let us sit with our empty glasses while they cleared empty tables and sat new customers. The restaurant was not particularly busy, and our table was right next to the door meaning the staff were constantly walking past us. We couldn’t help but feel like they genuinely didn’t care about our custom and seemed to make every effort to ignore our signals. After some time, we finally got the attention of the waitress, but at this point we had been waiting 15 minutes for some service and had lost patience, so we asked for the bill and went elsewhere for dessert and more drinks.
Anna C — Google review
Only giving 1 star because I can’t give 0. Ate here a few nights ago and even with a reservation we waited 15–20 minutes to be seated. Service was awful—the waiter clearly didn’t want to be there and barely checked on us. The food was worse: we had a mussels pasta and a calamari-and-olive pasta. The calamari dish was weirdly off—the pasta was piping hot but the calamari and sauce were cold. Both plates were overcooked and just bad. We left feeling sick. If you want good food in Alghero, skip Mirador.

What an amazing feast we had! Food was spectacular!! An explosion of flavours that worth to try. Presentation of dishes was beautiful, cozy small restaurant and Andrea’s service beyond all, super gentile, proper with good chat amd excellent advise on the menu! Super recommended

Accomplished cooking here using the freshest ingredients which we all know that that makes the difference between eating at a mediocre establishment or a quality establishment, thankfully this restaurant fits into the latter. My only qualm and I let it go on this occasion as I'm on holiday was my wine glass was a little smeary/not cleaned properly and the red wine by the glass which was superb I thought the amount offered was minuscule hence 4 stars for service.

If you can only try one restaurant in Alghero, choose this one. Everything was exceptional! The staff is beyond professional and kind, the ambiance is prefect (try to ask for a table on the terrace on the rooftop) and the food…. No words. I had the poached shrimps and the seafood pasta and oh boy they were soooooo good!

My husband and I had the tasting menu with wine pairings (this made it a more expensive evening but compared to other tasting menus with pairings it was very fairly priced.) The menu was incredibly tasty and well balanced. All food and wine was local and definitely recommend it for fish lovers. The service was professional and friendly and we were sat at the terrace with a lovely view. Would recommend if you'd really like to treat yourself!

We been in alghero for 2 days and I wanted to take my girl for some really nice restaurant for a best food. So we visited Al Tuguri. We didn’t know before it was michelin as it get only in 2021 I assume (june 2021 been there). We took sea and meat meal course as we wanted to taste from both something new explore new combinations and gourman experience. Meal was better if you are hungry (tenderloin steak) and fish more light (smaller portions) but fishy taste. We really enjoyed this place, really nice staff which even recognize that we are rebels and my girlfriend had 2 forks after starters and no knife 😂 so they add it up. Wine was delicious and so our experience. Thank you and if you hesitate go and grab this main course for 50 it is good price for best quality before they go higher ;)

Now this is a great place to discover new tastes stemming from traditional Sardinian cuisine. The manager in a passionate and detailed way explained every dish to us and the pieces of the menu were awesome. In the menu you can choose between three sets - sea, land (more traditional) and vegetarian. We selected the first two and they were delicious - especially little starters with astounding cherry gazpacho and sea salad verdure, then homemade-like raviolini, gilt-head bream and amazing pork cheek with reduced cagnulari. It was just great in a warm, very friendly, family-like setting. The desserts were gorgeous. PS. There was only interior seating option.

Loved it! Had the tasting menu (5 courses) with adjusted wines for 100€pp. Simple, elegant and very tasty. Superfriendly owner and staff. They placed us downstairs in a quieter area as we mentioned we were taking our 1y son, super thoughtful! Maybe one minor thingy is that the courses came a bit too fast after eachother.

Church of Saint Michael, also known as Chiesa di San Michele, is a significant Baroque-style building in Sardinia. Its colorful and uniquely designed dome stands out as a symbol of the island's Catalan influences. Located on Via Carlo Alberto, this 17th-century church is easily recognizable for its maiolica-tiled dome. Visitors can admire the historical center and the famous mosaic dome while strolling past the ancient city walls.
Beautiful Italian church, huge vaulted ceilings and the stages of the cross in bronze.

Worth popping in to see the fab wooden painted Michael putting the devil firmly in his place, and the wall mounted grave of Captain Ferret (no I'm not joking) with its Spanish inscription to prove they were indeed the bosses. Spanish not Catalan which is confusing because some of the street names are definitely Catalan.

Beautifully understated Catholic church in the southern part of Alghero's centro storico. The tile-covered dome is best seen from the southwest, near Proscutteria Sant Miquel (also very much worth a visit). The interior is much simpler than other churches in the region, with relief carvings in the archways above the aisles. A nice late medieval example of ecclesiastical architecture in Sardinia, and worth a moment to appreciate.

Amazing market with the freshest fish and produce. Also a great vendor with fresh cheese, breads and grocery items. Also look for the restaurant towards the back that grills or fries up what’s on offer that day for a fantastic lunch.

At the main market there are many fish counters offering a variety of fresh fish and seafood. We visited a few of them, but we received the best care and service from Marina Ioulu’s fish counter. It is the second counter on the left from the main entrance. Marina is very kind, greets customers warmly and is very helpful with selecting fresh fish and providing advice on how to prepare them. Our favourites were their fresh sardines and red mullet fillets. Highly recommended for all your daily fish and seafood needs.

The market is a fantastic place to find fresh and delicious fruits and vegetables, as well as freshly grilled seafood. Great museum. I'd suggest doing this at the beginning of your stay because you might learn about some archeological sites around Alghero that you can then visit. Great. Really enjoyed the carefully displayed and well explained exhibits going back to the areas pre-history. But noticed one glaring error. In a room with a mock up of a middle ages meal setting there was a bowl of fruit containing two green Granny Smith apples. The Granny Smith apple was developed by a lady known as 'Granny' Smith in Sydney Australia in 1868. Considerably later than the period depicted in the display. Needs to be addressed. Otherwise highly recommend! (Be aware of tourist unfriendly limited opening hours).

2 options to get there. Boat or land (incl 600+ steps). When it's choppy, no boats run. Amazing sight. Tour in Italian and English and well worth it. No need to book ahead if going by land but you may need to wait. If going by sea, boat and entry paired together.

I enjoyed Neptune's Grotto, it's beautiful and ethereal. The boat ride there was lovely and weather was perfect. There are a lot of people in at any given time, so expect some queues and slowness. But it's a little confusing online how to book. If taking the boat, you buy a ticket from the vendor in person, not online. My ticket was €17. But the Grotto has a separate admission which is €14. This caught a few people out on the day. They do take card and cash 🙂

First time being in a cave, cool place to view. Guide tours in both Italian and English, also possible to ask questions in French. Typical tourist attraction but one definitely worth doing when in Alghero.
Yente W — Google review
Overcrowded + horrible organization 😔 The cave was beautiful, the boat ride was pleasant, and the crew was skilled and polite. For these aspects, I would give 10 out of 5 stars. However, the organization at the cave entrance was terrible. About half of our boat was overtaken by a group of around 40 German tourists. When we pointed this out, they laughed at us. When we reported it to the staff at the ticket office and the entrance, they acted as if it wasn’t their problem. The group was let in ahead of us simply because they pushed through. Considering the entrance fee wasn’t cheap, the service was very poor and irresponsible. As a result, I spent the entire cave visit worrying whether we would make it back in time for the boat, and I couldn’t enjoy the tour. I would only recommend this place to people with strong nerves.
Ivana P — Google review
The lady at the ticket office was very professional and knowledgeable. The guy at the boat entrance was rude and very unprofessional. Shouting and making hand gestures!! Boats are dated and very crowded, probably over the allowed capacity limit. Try other operators to visit the caves.

Good afternoon, there was one tour at 10, one at 3 pm that day. Nice tour sailors, really helpful. They maybe could give us more details about the region/environment. Really hot on the boat so don’t forget sunscreen and water!!

This is a trip you must do. The Grotte is a wonderful sight to see (price is completely seperate to the boat ride out and my experience is that you are told this) I have seen dolphins on 2 trips out to the Grotte and Steps. The crew on Debora are great. Very welcoming and hospitable. Coffee and refreshments are served on board ☕️

Absolutely dissapointing..arrived at the cave and captain said that weather is not good to park the boat. Did not even reach the entrance to see that. At that moment the waves was 0.6-0.8m. They already told while buying tickets that if weather is not good they will just swim around with the boat (like they knew that it will happen from the beginning).

Spiaggia di Mugoni is a popular beach in Sardinia, near Alghero, known for its excellent snorkeling opportunities and family-friendly shallow waters. The area boasts a variety of fish species that can be easily observed with a snorkel mask. The beach features trees providing ample shade and offers comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas for relaxation. Visitors can also enjoy the amenities of the Baia di Conte Resort, which is surrounded by tranquil forests and provides a 4-star experience.
Keep your ticket EVEN after paying at the end of your day - you need it to get out the gate. Pay by cash or card AT THE END by scanning the ticket. After parking, walk to the beach and turn left. Walk along the crowded beach for 300m or so until you reach the tall tree section. Very uncrowded with natural tree shade. We were here on a Sunday and it stayed uncrowded. Water crystal clear and super panoramic view.

The beach itself is beautiful. The water is clear. But it is definitely overcrowded - the shore is long, but tight and the people are getting too close to each other, because of lack of space. If you want to go there, make sure you are there early enough, so you can find a good place for your umbrella. We got there with a bus from Alghero (9321 I think for 2.50 euro for one direction).

Our absolute favorite in northwest Sardinia. Clear shallow water, lots of fish, pine forest just behind the beach. Nice soft sand, only a few meters of pebbles when entering the sea. Free parking in September (paid in high season, I believe). The organized area is packed, but the free zones are good enough. You could also put your towel under the trees.
Annice W — Google review
This is one of the best beaches in Alghero province. There is parking lot and bit a walking distance to beach, like 5 mins but then you will be surrounded by big trees 🌲 and nature while baking in the sun on the white sand beach. You can rent ⛱️🛏️ for 24 Euro: 2 beds and 1 umbrellas, which is a good price and also you can layout your own. There are plenty of bars for drinks and restaurants to eat really tasty food. I recommend to make a reservation and eat at La Niefe, it has nice natural shadow from the big trees while you have a sea view. Variety of wine and food is not that big but everything was delicious 😋

One of the longest beach in Alghero area, with pine forest where to get some shade. You have access to lots of bars and restaurants, a parking with decent fee.

Very good clear crystal and icy water. Free parking under the trees for motorcycle. Also many places under the trees to sit.
Antonis V — Google review
Great beach, much calmer and quieter than others in the area. If you want to get a sunbed and umbrella, you have to go early because they are few. The restaurant is very nice. Parking is convenient and close to the beach. The bay is incredibly beautiful and the water is crystal clear. I recommend it.

Wonderful long narrow beach fringed with pine trees and views across the bay. Really pretty ans feels wild still. We parked under a shady tree in the free car park on the left side as you enter off the road. Beach clubs and restaurants are scattered across the beach mostly to the right side. It's minutes from the airport so was our first stop when we arrived!

Visitors can access the beach easily via public transportation or car, with ample paid parking available. Additionally, there are restaurants nearby where visitors can savor local cuisine while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
Busy but lovely clear water and soft sand. 7 euro for a sunbed, foods decent enough at the beach bar. Free parking if you walk fir a bit, paid parking close by. Park dodgy and you'll get a ticket. Water gets deep quicker than usual, so your not swimming for 5 mins then standing up and it's knee deep, go just for the clear water. Sand temperature is just below molten lava and did I mention its busy

Nuraghe Palmavera is an intriguing archaeological site in Sardinia, showcasing the stone ruins of a Bronze Age Nuragic settlement. The Nuragic civilization, indigenous to Sardinia, inhabited the island from around 2300 BC until the late Roman era. This well-preserved complex offers unique features and holds significant archaeological interest. Visitors can explore the site by car or bike, with convenient parking available. The area boasts a scenic bicycle path and quiet roads for cycling enthusiasts.
A rare opportunity to enter a fully intact nearly 4000 year nuraghe. Sit on the stone stool in the middle, close your eyes and just imagine how good life must have been like back then. The site is spectacular. These ancient people cleverly built on a hill with sea and mountain views and breezes. They ate grain, meat, fish, fruit and probably wine. They traded with other Mediterranean cultures. I love the history of Sardinia!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Must-See in Alghero! Nuraghe Palmavera is an incredible archaeological site and definitely a must-see if you're visiting Alghero. The site is easy to access, with clear signage from the main road, and there's ample parking just a short walk away, which made the visit really convenient. The entrance fee is very reasonable, especially considering the historical significance of the site. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share insights about the Nuragic civilisation, which really enhanced the experience. Overall, a fascinating place with great service and easy logistics—don’t miss it if you’re in the area!

Amazing site! The nuraghe Palmavera is a complex nuraghe made of a main tower, the most ancient (A), and a more recent building, the bastion, that was shaped with a secondary tower (B) in the most recent phase, a courtyard, a corridor with niches and a surrounding wall that encloses the most ancient tower. The last archeological researches done in the nuraghe have unearthed a third tower (C), collapsed or dismantled in ancient times, due to a probable structural failure. The upper floor of the nuraghe could have been reached by stone staircases in the main tower, on both sides of the courtyard and in the corridor, close to the East entrance of the nuraghe.

A fascinating glimpse into history! Visiting an archaeological site sounded interesting to us, but it actually exceeded our expectations. Nuraghe Palmavera is very well-preserved, and walking around the old village offers a glimpse into prehistoric life. There's plenty of information about the different discoveries over time, and how that has shaped the story of Nuraghe Palmavera.

The water was crystal clear, and the fish was swimming around us. We could see them even when we were not snorkeling. It's a sand beach, great choice for families and other people as well. Accessible by bus from Alghero. There was a restaurant and some street food. You can rent umbrellas or sunbeds for 6€.

Wow, just a stunning beach! Clearer than tap water, soft sand and not super crowded when I was there, first Friday of Sept. Lots of people but room to breathe and enjoy the water. I think chairs are cheaper if set up outside the roped-off area. $6 per chair and umbrella. Also plenty of room to take your own. Got there by city bus 9320 or 9321-- note that you can get tickets at newsstands but the guy selling them near the stop I went to gave everyone local bus tickets, which aren't valid for this trip. You can buy the ticket on the bus and apparently online- there was a qr code at the stop.

Nice, small beach, well organised. Lots of space off-season. Not the white sand, turquoise water you may be looking for, but a nice beach. No showers though, and toilets only inside the restaurant.

Torre del Porticciolo is a sheltered cove with a Renaissance-era anti-piracy tower, offering great opportunities for snorkeling and camping. The beach is beautiful and suitable for snorkeling, although some visitors have noted that the entrance to the water can be uncomfortable due to large stones. The area provides stunning views and opportunities for short hikes. While there are some concerns about access to the beach and restrictions on pets, it remains a picturesque spot with crystal-clear waters and medieval charm.
A great, clean beach! You park on top of the hill (free parking) and walk downhill for a few minutes. The waters are clear and worth snorkeling. 2 deers walked past us at the beach. There are no showers, but there are recycling garbage bins.

Very beautiful beach and medieval tower, crystal water but pay attention that you need special shoes. On the day when we visited were quite some algae and full of jellyfish. There is a bar/restaurant on the beach and you can rent canoe. The only downside is the thieves, we arrived somewhere around 12:30 at the beach and parked the car in the only parking around which happens to be also unguarded, so after we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset we arrived the car only to find the semi destroyed handle of the car, destroyed lock and body work around the handle but gladly they did not manage to get inside and we had also full coverage on the rented car. SO BE CAREFUL on this beach because I see just now that we are not the only ones that had this happened.

Cattedrale dell’ Immacolata Concezione, also known as the Cathedral of St. Mary the Immaculate, is a 16th-century Roman Catholic cathedral located in Alghero. The cathedral's architecture reflects the various powers that once ruled over the city, blending elements of gothic, Catalan, and Italian styles. From its bell tower, visitors can enjoy picturesque views of the surrounding area.
Dazzling gothic Cathedral at the heart of Alghero's old town. Incredible amount of chapels tributed to different Saints and invocations of the Virgin Mary including Our Lady of Montserrat due to the historical connection of Alghero with Catalonia (Spain). There is also an impressive neoclassical mausoleum from the Duke of Montferrato Maurizio Giuseppe di Savoia. Moreover, we find a stunning pipe organ from 1935 with 116 notes. Perfect visit for a moment of spirituality and reflection while visiting Alghero's old town.

Tenute Sella & Mosca is an idyllic winery offering an interesting journey into the world of wine, from its history to tasting. The expansive estate is beautifully maintained and offers various programs such as guided tours through the cellars and wine tastings. Visitors can learn about the history of Sella & Mosca, wine production in general, with a focus on Sardinian wines. The winery also features a shop where all their wines are available for purchase.
This estate offers a truly memorable experience in an exceptional location. The beautifully maintained grounds create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere that immediately puts guests at ease. The rooms and beds were very comfortable, and the building itself—rich in history—has been immaculately restored, striking a seamless balance between classic charm and modern comfort. Attention to detail is evident throughout the entire estate, clearly reflecting the pride and care that goes into running this property. One of the highlights was the view from the room’s balcony—watching the sunrise from there was truly breathtaking. While the breakfast fell slightly short of expectations, with the bread rolls and croissants not as fresh as one might hope, this minor issue is easily overshadowed by the many positives of the stay. At this price point, the estate offers outstanding value, and I would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a serene and well-appointed retreat.

If you love Sardegna, there’s a part of the recent history starting more than 126 years ago related to the production of wine. It’s a story of passion, competence and dedication told by informed and passionate people-not pretentious or intimidating. You don’t need to be an enthusiast of wine to appreciate what Sella & Mosca are doing following maintenance a tradition in winery. Book a visit. Two or three hours are enough to understand and taste the secret of a success.

She started by explaining the history of this amazing vineyard, and took us to a tour of the old and new cellars. The tour finished with delicious wine tasting and traditional Sardinian treats (including pane carasau, pecorino and salsiccia sarda). Definitely highly recommend it!
Linda C — Google review
When we pulled into Sella e Mosca, it felt like we’d stumbled into something really special. The entrance is a narrow lane with trees and stone walls on both sides and vineyards stretching out forever. It seemed like the rows of vines would never end. The scale of it is hard to wrap your head around, more than 1,300 acres of grapes. At the center of the estate is a square surrounded by old stone buildings. There’s the old manor house with its pale walls and green shutters, now turned into a boutique B&B. Around it are old cellars, workers’ houses, even a tiny chapel with a bell tower. Cypress trees and flowers line the square, and the air carries the smell of wild herbs. For harvest season it was surprisingly quiet, almost peaceful. Daniela greeted us at the Enoteca and showed us around. She was very knowledgeable and told us how the place started back in 1899 when two men from Piedmont drained marshland to plant vines. Before making their own wines they actually supplied vines to the rest of the world after phylloxera. That history is everywhere you look. In the cellars you see the huge old concrete fermentation tanks, and on one building you can still spot faded black lettering left over from World War I. Then came the wines. We started with Torbato, their signature grape that’s almost only grown here. The sparkling version was bright and floral, with citrus and herbs. The rosé was light and fruity. The Metodo Classico Torbato had this extra depth to it, with bready notes and more layers. Then we tried Vermentino, Cannonau Riserva, and Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva. Each one felt like it captured a different side of Sardinia, from sea air and citrus to rich herbs and spice. The last glass, Anghelu Ruju, was a fortified passito where grapes are left to dry on straw mats similar to Vin Santo. They served food with the tasting too: pecorino, salami, olives, and pane carasau, the thin Sardinian flatbread that cracks and crunches when you bite it. Sitting outside under an umbrella, sipping wine and snacking on local cheese, with the vineyards all around, felt like one of those perfect travel moments you never forget. I wish we could’ve stayed another night. Sella e Mosca isn’t just a stop on a wine trip. It feels like stepping into Sardinia itself, with its history, flavors, and landscape all wrapped up in one place.

Really well preserved Mesolithic/ neolithic burial site. Very impressive chambers and really nice wide clear field. Lots of interesting information the different civilisations/ cultures that used and built these sites. In lots of different languages too! Definitely a must see if you like history and architecture
Derk R — Google review
I found it fascinating even if the explanation boards are a bit old style. One needs some imagination to see the painted and sculpted decorations, but that’s fair after 6000 years. The entrances to the various tombs are open and accessible but intriguingly small (with lots of lizards). One can peek in but it’s dark inside and honestly I didn’t think it a great idea to just crawl in… Still it is well explained how the architecture is made and how the site was used. As said, fascinating!

Nice place, impressive tumbs, you can walk around the site freely and even try to enter in some tumbs if you fit. I missed the audio guide, that was not offered to me (there was audio guide signs all o we the place) but I saw another family using one. Would be nice to have a sign saying what I can and a can’t do in the place, looks like there’s no rules.

The Coral Museum, located in a 19th-century mansion near the Piazza Sulis in Alghero, showcases sculptures and jewelry made from coral. It provides insight into the history and significance of harvesting red coral, featuring exhibits on ancient practices and old photos of equipment and boats used in the harvest. The museum also delves into the cultural identity associated with red coral in Alghero.
Very nice for a quick visit. Very affordable. It’s a combination of informative scientific space teaching you about the lifecycle of coral, then a historical and artistic space teaching you about the collection and crafting of goods made from coral. It should take about an hour if you take a look at everything.
Ryan R — Google review
I found this museum to be one of the most boring I’ve ever visited. Considering the rich cultural heritage of red coral in the Alghero region, I expected a much more engaging and creatively curated experience. Instead, the museum consisted mostly of text-heavy collages with very few actual exhibits or artifacts on display. It’s a small space and feels more like a reading room than a museum. Frankly, some of the red coral shops around Alghero were far more interactive and visually appealing than this museum. It’s a shame, because the subject matter has great potential. With more thought and creativity, this museum could be a vibrant showcase of local artistry and tradition. As it stands, I didn’t find it worth the money.
Lina — Google review
Ticket costs 7 Euros. Its a not too complicated, easy little museum to visit. U get to know many things about the history of the corals. Do not expect a very interactive or big exhibition its not that place. Its cute while on a morning walk or something.
Veronika S — Google review
A small and nice museum. Very informative, not really interactive. A bit of history, a bit of nature, a bit of art & jewelry. Perfect for rather a short visit - up to two hours max. There is also a fun area for children and a very pleasant garden. The price is very reasonable - 7 EUR/adult. The staff speak English and Italian, the descriptions are also available in both languages. The films / videos played there are in Italian with English subtitles.
Dorota L — Google review
Something to do, I suppose, but at €7 per person it didn’t feel like great value. The museum is quite small, two floors with maybe 3-4 rooms on each. There were a few interesting pieces, but overall we were done in about 20 minutes.

I bet you didn't know how wonderful corals can be, and how many people make a living out of trading and crafting this red gem. Easy visit.

The Coral Museum (Museo del Corallo) in Alghero was a truly delightful and surprising discovery! I was genuinely impressed that such a dedicated ( even though, small) museum exists here, celebrating this magnificent natural resource. The exhibition is very well put together, offering fascinating historical and scientific data about the life cycle of coral, its significance, and the traditional “fishing” methods used in the region. Beyond the educational aspects, the museum beautifully showcases stunning jewelry and unique art objects decorated with superb corals. The experience definitely left me wishing that these incredible, beautiful creatures could receive even more protection and conservation efforts. It’s an absolute must-visit for anyone interested in marine life, art, or local history in Alghero.

Sandy beach in a bay with clear water backed by rocks with walkway access.
This beach is beautiful even on windy days. The is a sandy beach with crystal clear water. There is a restaurant/bar ‘La Sperenza’. We went there at the end of September 2022 and the bar was still open. Plenty of parking spaces and close to the main road (Alghero/Bosa).

Nice beach, not very busy. The entrance to the sea was not easy as there were bigger pebbles and there were seaweeds, but once you get past the pebbles, there is white sand and the water is clean.

Cala Dragunara is a charming little beach that offers a perfect escape for families and nature lovers alike. Nestled among stunning rocky landscapes, this small cala features crystal-clear waters teeming with marine life, making it an ideal spot for snorkeling adventures. While the beach can get quite hot during the summer months, visitors are encouraged to bring some shade to enhance their experience. The lovely café bar provides a relaxing seating area where you can unwind after exploring the beautiful surroundings.

Dear travellers, This is a message of prevention for all those travelling to Sardinia this summer. This is probably not the first, nor the last time you will read this. At the end of June my girlfriend and I were the victims of a break-in, a car window smashed and all our belongings snatched and gone in the space of a few minutes. The island is renowned for its beautiful beaches and is also the scene of organised and repeated thefts throughout the year. Don't leave anything visible in your car - beach car parks, shopping centres and other public places are not safe places. Be on the lookout for suspicious behaviour, and don't hesitate to tell people about it. The authorities can do nothing, and as tourists we are powerless in the face of such a situation. Solidarity, prevention and education are the only weapons we have against this incredibly vile behaviour and actions. Have a great summer and do everything you can to make sure these criminals don't get away with robbing you of your belongings. 📍Cala Dragunara, 39.06.25, 14h30

Overlooking Piazza Duomo, this monument provides picturesque walks along the sea and access to awesome views.

The tower was built in the 16th century, one of seven scattered around the Old Town which were part of the fortifications of Alghero. From here there is a wonderful view of the sea and of the coast beyond.

This strategically placed tower acts a demarcation point of the old walled city of Alghero. Beyond this point, effectively outside the walls of the old city, is a newer neighborhood that doesn't have the charm and quaintness of the old town, substituting it with open perspectives on the sea.

Pretty good value for money especially if you plan on going a few times in a week as its about 30-40euro for a 2 hour slot or about 80eur for a 5 day pass. My daughter was just under the 120cm height but they allowed me to sign a waiver and go on with her which was fine as I was planning on doing it anyway. Really enjoyed it and the beach was fairly quiet compared to others in the area with a good little resturant right next door.

Kids had so much fun! We took the 2 hour option and it was ample. You buy tickets across the street, the cashier spoke english. We had to wait 10 mins to get life jackets which was time wasted, but from then, it was great. The water was clear, warm, and everyone had a blast. We returned the life jackets, so I could get the deposit back. We then chilled at the beach for another hour. It was great.
Ayala S — Google review
I would give this place a 10 out of 5 if I could. The owners are incredible. We came for a half day and one hour into the aquapark I had an inquiry and we had to leave. We came back the next day and they allowed our kids to use their remaining time. The kindness to our family increased our love for Aleghero even stronger and made our kids so happy. The aqua park is awesome and worth the price for fun. A wonderful time for everyone in the family. Thank you again!
Charlene A — Google review
I was with a girl here today and I don't recommend anyone else to waste money here. €20 per person for 2 hours is definitely too much, the vest they give you is torn in several places so they patched it up with plastic staples that are used in the auto industry so it all scratched my back. And if you want a locker to leave your car key or personal documents, you will have to pay another €5 for that. This is pure rudeness and I do not recommend anyone to go.

St. John Tower, also known as Torre di San Giovanni, is one of the ancient towers in Alghero's landscape that once served as part of the city's defenses. It is now situated within the city and serves as a centerpiece for a bustling square filled with shops, restaurants, and cafes. The tower has historical significance dating back to an event in 1412 when it played a role in repelling an attack by the French.
We visited Torre di San Giovanni as part of the Alghero Experience ticket and were very pleasantly surprised by the fact that it was a non-conventional historical place to visit. Instead of a classic guided walk with texts and ancient objects, we were welcomed by two young and friendly hosts that gave us a challenge: to paint fishes on a white paper and then scan them into a cool software and show them on the walls. Yes, a childish experience but a very pleasant surprise.

Alghero's landscape is dotted with towers that were once part of the city's defenses. St John Tower is now surrounded by the city and acts more like a centerpiece for a city square that is rich with shops, restaurants and cafés. It is also used by the municipality as a backdrop for street art.

Sea and surrounding area really nice. Sand almost clean, nice trees. Pitty is that free area are small and there is no free shower only if payed for sunbed and or umbrella. There is a warm shower at beachbar for 2.5EUR. Few days later we came back (as tge kids like the place), they dont give sunbed/umbrella as they are "overbooked". They are not...just give them to italien. Immediately saw 2 pairs get place. They were not prebooked. How friendly they are...

This could be a much higher score but for the lifeguard/sunbed attendant who is the most miserable, ignorant, bad tempered and just thoroughly unpleasant person you could wish to meet! Such a shame in such a lovely location on a great beach!

Bar is good , BUT the parasol and Sun lounger guys haven't a clue... tried to move us after lunch for locals (at our chosen seat from 10am) and told us not to come back tomorrow, not a professional service. I'd use another provider if i was back... loads of other companies on the beach.
Q-Fitz — Google review
Bar part of the business is sound but we are beyond disappointed with the service we received from the parasol guy. When we paid we were not given the seat number so we took the front seat considering we had a small child with us. After 3 hours we were told we were in the wrong spot and we should move...when we refused we were told not to come back tomorrow... what else can you say about this behaviour...we are shocked
Aga F — Google review
Very crowded and way too much space is taken up by rent-a-chair services which were not well used. However, the businesses had lots to offer and were friendly enough and didn't charge for the toilets, which was great because my daughter was going to explode. Very difficult to navigate on the beach here due to crowds (well, it was Saturday) but the waters were lovely and warm, but a little ... well, I don't want to say dirty because you might think I mean trash and litter, which I don't, bit remember that seaweed I was telling you about from the beaches closer to the city center? Well, it seems to start about here. Not a lot, like, you don't have to leap to get out of the water unscathed, but enough to kind of make the waters a bit less inviting. Though they invited me plenty and I spent more time in them than I ought to at my age, but I have kids so that's my excuse.
Tom H — Google review
Lovely beach, shallow and easy swimming. Negatives; surly lifeguard who decides which beds and umbrella you’ll have. The beds are very close together, surprising in Covid times, and the annoyance of having to ask the same grumpy person for a very short cold shower and pay him 20 cents each time to rinse after having been in the sea. Friendlier lidos exist.

If you wish to visit Neptune's Cave on foot, you must descend down the entrance, which consists of more than 600 steps. Along the way, there are widened areas where you can rest and observe the rocky formations that surround you. The cliffs and hollows near sea level offer breathtaking views. Surprisingly, the staircase itself provides an exciting adventure comparable to exploring the cave. It is a remarkable journey consisting of descending numerous steps beside stunning cliffs until reaching the caves below.
Luckily we researched and booked the spot and the ticket in advance because the system is somewhat chaotic if you come unprepared. Go early so you can park close to the entrance, otherwise youll have to park very far down the road. They advise you to come 40 min earlier but the steps take only around 10 min so there is a lot of waiting around in a crowd of people. If the groups were smaller, the whole experience would be more enjoyable, but otherwise the cave is absolutely amazing, the path is well mantained and not slippery at all and the sound system and the guided tour itself are also very clear. The walk down and up the stairs is not that bad. A must visit in Sardinia!
Spela K — Google review
Amazing journey down hundreds of steps, around the side of incredible cliffs, on the way towards the caves at the bottom. Definitely worth the trip to walk the long stairs and see the views (for free), even if you don't fancy paying €13 per person to get into the caves at the end, which we didn't. Maybe pick a cloudy day, as it's quite a workout!
Richard F — Google review
We really wanted to love this place, but it turned into a complete disaster. The only way in is through their designated parking lot where you have to pay €5 per person (including kids) for a roundtrip shuttle, plus you need to show up a full hour early. The free parking lot is the problem as there is no one attending it. There was broken glass and clear evidence of smashed car windows. We had our beach stuff, towels, and personal items in the trunk since we were planning to hit the beach afterward, and there was no way we were leaving our car there looking like a target. We asked if we could switch our tickets to a later time slot (they had plenty available!) so we could quickly run our stuff back to the hotel first. They refused and we would have to purchase another ticket for €18 per person. We ended up leaving without seeing anything, feeling completely ripped off and honestly pretty upset about the whole experience. If you've got a voucher, just buy your tickets when you get there. Don't make the same mistake we did by booking online - you'll have zero flexibility if things go sideways like they did for us.
Vickie S — Google review
Must visit in Sardegna. The best way is to come with a car and then go by foot 600steps to Neptune’s Grotta. The way is quite easy and has fantastic views. Take some water and jacket if you decide to enter Grotta ( entrance 13 euro)
Regina B — Google review
If you want to see Neptune's Cave on foot, it is necessary to descend to the entrance to the cave, which is over 600 stairs. In between are the widened parts where you can rest and look around at the surrounding rocky outcrops. Beautiful views of the cliffs and hollows just above sea level. In fact, the stairs are almost a nicer adventure than seeing the cave itself.

(Translated by Google) Place nestled between the cliffs just outside the city of Alghero. There is no actual beach, you have to make do among the rocks and find the most suitable place to relax, but in my opinion the place is worth it, because as it is not very busy even in high season, you can enjoy a unique peace, and if interested, take a short walk among the rocks to admire the remains of an ancient structure, most likely a Nuragic temple remodeled in Roman times dug into the rock, whose contours are still very clear, very similar to the one also present on the coast of San Giovanni of Sinis; these "carved rocks" are also quite extensive, so the exploratory walk will also be a bit long. Last but not least, from here you can enjoy excellent, picturesque and evocative sunsets! Important: Come only with closed shoes, possibly anti-slip, as there is no real path, but you have to proceed between the rocks, on a rather rough descent, with loose stones and slightly crumbling ones in some places, so if you come with flip-flops you risk falling and getting very hurt, given the sharp nature of the rocks.

(Translated by Google) If you're vacationing in Alghero and want to discover a place off the beaten path, Vaschetta di Ciu Peppi is definitely worth a visit. It's a small rocky cove hidden along the coast, a relatively secret spot, beloved by locals and those willing to put in a little effort to enjoy an authentic and wild glimpse of Sardinia. Getting there isn't exactly easy: the trail isn't clearly marked and requires a bit of an adventurous spirit. But its secluded location contributes to the place's charm. Once you arrive, you'll be rewarded with crystal-clear waters, calm waters, and a silence broken only by the sound of the waves. Perfect for those seeking relaxation away from the crowds. An important tip: rock shoes are absolutely essential. The area is rocky and slippery in some places, and without the right equipment, it can be dangerous. With a little preparation, however, the experience is wonderful. Ultimately, Ciu Peppi's Pond is a little gem for nature lovers who aren't deterred by its somewhat complicated access. A place that offers moments of tranquility and authentic beauty. Recommended! Consigliato!

Torre di Sant'Elmo is a historic tower located in Alghero, Italy. It is part of the beautiful Bastioni, built by the Aragonese in the 16th century to surround the center of Alghero. The tower features a statue of Stella Maris Madonna on top, serving as a symbol of protection for sea travelers.

If you take a leisurely boat ride from the Port of Alghero, you will most likely see Saint Elmo's Tower from the sea as you are leaving or entering the port. The statue of the Virgin Mary at this site works as a landmark that is visible from various angles. Apart from its strategic position, the tower is above the walls of Alghero. These old walls are now a great place to walk or exercise.

The museum tells the story of the 4000 Italians who flew from the nowadays Croatian coast, following the second world war ups and downs and the International treaty that settled the Italian-Jugoslavian border in 1956. Though presented with passion by the local volunteers, which are descendents of those families, it's worth remembering that when it comes to the reasons of the exodus the museum greatly builds on the memories of the locals and cannot be taken as a 100% accurate historic picture of what happened in those territories in those years. Rich in objects, pictures and short movies it's a moving experience that shows how often good will and stamina can overcome the hardship of life. A recommended cultural break to cast a light on an mostly unknown moment in history. A plus: every ticket includes a guided tour. Personal tours can be arranged on the phone, at no extra cost.

(Translated by Google) Yesterday I attended the comedy in Algherese by Pino Piras, an emblematic figure of Sardinian culture, who continues to enchant the public with his lively satire and his acute social observation. The performance of "País de Alegries" at the Teatro Civico is not only a cultural event, but also a journey through time that takes spectators back to the Alghero of the 70s, a city struggling with social problems such as unemployment and the housing crisis . This musical comedy, performed for the first time in 1977, marked a turning point in Alghero musical comedy, thanks to its extraordinary success and Piras' ability to tackle difficult topics with sarcasm and humour. His work is an example of how art can be a powerful tool for reflection and social criticism, while maintaining audience entertainment and engagement. The theater itself, with its unique wooden structure in Sardinia, offers an intimate and welcoming atmosphere that amplifies the experience of the show. The comedy was revived by the Cabirol Association with the Nova Companya del Reganal, demonstrating the lasting value of Piras' work and its impact on Alghero culture.
