Art museum
Museums
Musée de Grenoble is a long-established museum featuring a diverse collection of European art, including works by 13th-century masters. In addition to the museum, the area around Grenoble offers various other attractions such as the regional Musee Dauphinois with traditional furnishings and a section on skiing history, and the church-museum of Saint Laurent housing remains of a 6th/7th-century funerary crypt.
Well established museum in the city of Grenoble with lots of artwork and sculptures of various artists. The tour could take up to a couple of hours, and the entrance is free, but you'll need to get a ticket issued. The museum is very clean, well maintained and the staff were super friendly.
Ash — Google review
Very good art museum/gallery with almost every significant French artist represented. Mildly disappointed that one of the Monet’s was removed for restoration work as he is my favourite French artist, but other great works by Matisse, Chagall etc. as well as a large section dedicated to a contemporary art exhibit. Overall a great way to spend a rainy day in Grenoble.
Kent K — Google review
Grenoble is renown as the Capital of the Alps, so most of the people travel to the city for the surrounding mountains. Almost nobody comes to Grenoble for its museum, not even to visit it between two hikes. And that's a pity because Musee du Grenoble really deserves to be explored. Not only for the stunning views over the Alpine slopes and Isere river but also for the permanent exhibition, which include works of Matisse, Derain, Gauguin and Modigliani among others. . The entrance was free of charge during our visit (July 2025).
Ionut S — Google review
The permanent collection was free and there were great paintings. On a weekday late afternoon, there were only a few people which was an ideal environment for relaxing. They provide cozy black individual sofas which I appreciated greatly.
AA A — Google review
Although it cannot be compared to the Louvre or the Musee d'Orsay, the sheer depth of the collection in a local art museum is undeniable. It is definitely worth a visit. There is one thing I noticed this time. I realized that masterpieces have a unique composition that keeps you entertained. The paintings housed here are second to none in terms of technique. However, I felt that the compositions lacked ingenuity. I apologize for sounding like an amateur, but this is still a museum that everyone should visit at least once. You can take your time to appreciate the art.
Sano I — Google review
Modern art has it's audience, I'm not one of them

Beautiful museum!! It's a pity that I didn't participate in the Miró exhibition. The museum has a rich collection and is free to visit. I came here for two consecutive days and gained a lot.

Very nice art museum absolutely worth a visit. Good range collection from old to modern. The pieces are manly French, Italian and from the Low Lands. The entrance was free, but still you receive a ticket!

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Fort de La Bastille à Grenoble is a 19th-century military fort located on Mount Rachais, overlooking the city of Grenoble. Accessible by a scenic cable car ride, the fortress offers panoramic views of the city and the River Isere. Originally fortified in the 1590s, it features defensive walls and bastions designed to protect the city from mountain invasions.
We had perfect weather for our visit to the Bastille. Took the cable carts up and down, which was a fun experience with great views on the way. Once at the top, we walked around and explored — the scenery was absolutely beautiful. We had lunch at the restaurant up there, which made the trip even more enjoyable. A lovely outing overall and definitely worth it if you're in Grenoble!
Andreas L — Google review
It’s more of a view point than anything else. But it’s a highly recommended place with an Awesome city and mountain view. Also there is an adventure activity centre for kids, where kids can enjoy as well. There are couple of other museums which we didn’t visit.
Umang J — Google review
Definitely worth visiting if in Grenoble. Not expensive at all. If you book a table at the cafe before hand, the ride up is slightly cheaper. Cafe has good food nd drink and the views are spectacular. The museum are good too. Not lots to see but interesting. Free/cheap. We spent half a day there. One star off as not a well maintained tourist spot.
Sean W — Google review
The "funicular " gondola ride is fun, but cramped if you're 6'+. Great views of the city from the bastille. Awesome place for hikers & runners. There are a lot of runners doing hill training here. Two great restaurants at the top.
Sid D — Google review
Great views. Don't bother ordering anything from the restaurant. It's dirty, the staff don't give a hoot. The coffee is cold.
John S — Google review
In this case, the journey is more interesting than the destination First: how do you get there? If you’re not in good physical shape or have health issues (cardio-respiratory or mobility problems), it’s best to take the cable car. The downside is that you’ll miss the most beautiful part of the experience, the climb itself. If you’re able, I strongly recommend going on foot. From Grenoble, there are four main access routes: 1st through the Jardin des Dauphins and Guy Pape parks The 2nd one starting from the Saint-Laurent gate The 3rd one from the old Rabot fort The 4th via the road behind the fortress (for those arriving by car) In addition to these four routes, there are several mountain trails, for example, the path to the Mandrin Cave, but these require more time and proper hiking equipment. Walking up is worth it, because the fort isn’t only on the top of the mountain, it stretches along the mountainside. If you take the gondola lift, you’ll see very little of the fortifications. Depending on the route, you’ll pass by other points of interest: the terraces of the Jardin des Dauphins, the Rabot Fort and old officers’ barracks, the Giants’ Staircase, and the Saint-Laurent gate. My advice: go up one way and come down another. At the base of the mountain, you’ll also find some interesting (and free) museums: the Dauphinois Museum, the Archaeological Museum, the Grenoble Museum... The top of the fort (the main attraction) is a bit underwhelming. Apart from the mountain views, there isn’t much to see. A few negatives: The fort itself cannot be visited. Most buildings are occupied by private businesses (a climbing club, for example), with restricted public access. Food and drinks are rather expensive. The unisex toilets are not the best choice (and not very clean either). Some of the bastions and covered stairways on the mountainside are dirty (though that’s partly due to careless visitors). avoid the old geography institute, it's just a rundown building with graffiti, falling into disrepair. And lastly: Grenoble itself isn’t the most spectacular city. The mountain backdrop is beautiful, but the city view is less so. In conclusion: I’m giving it 4 stars, but mostly for the journey rather than the fort itself. Those who go only by cable car would probably rate it three stars (or even less).
Catalin H — Google review
Great place to visit. You can visit it via small route by foot or you can take cable car. But I suggest small route

Brilliant experience with James and the team at Acrobastille. My daughter did the kids version, my wife the zip(with some parcour to get around) and my son and I the adult full version. Took about 2hrs for us but magnificent in entirety. Views were spectacular.

In the heart of Grenoble's historic center lies the charming Jardin de Ville, a picturesque city park that has been open to the public since 1719. This leafy oasis along the Isere River features a playground, fountain, and bandstand, making it an ideal spot for outdoor concerts during the summer. The park is adorned with century-old trees and is home to various sculptures and monuments, including busts of Jean-Jacques Rousseau and Pierre Baiteux.
Cute for dates :3 ( my fav spot in city )

Parc Paul Mistral is a refreshing escape in the heart of Grenoble, offering ample green spaces and a welcoming atmosphere for families and friends. Originally built as an exhibition space in 1925, this park boasts a rich history and cultural significance, highlighted by the iconic Tour Perret. Spanning 27 hectares, it stands as the city's largest park, reminiscent of renowned urban parks like Jardin des Tuilleries and Hyde Park.
A nice park for walking and relaxing in the evening. The tower there was under construction when I visited. There is a good place for kids to play, and also there is a dog park within the park itself.

Nestled along the banks of the Isère River, the Musée Dauphinois is a captivating destination for those eager to delve into the rich cultural tapestry of the region. Housed in a beautifully restored 17th-century convent, this museum showcases an impressive array of ethnographic and historic artifacts that highlight local folk arts, crafts, and traditional furnishings. One unique aspect of its collection is dedicated to skiing history, reflecting Grenoble's deep connection with winter sports.
Great little museum, some great stuff to see and even has English on the descriptions which is helpful if your French isn't strong. It is free to enter, a little confusing how to get around, but overall worth the walk. Plan to spend maybe 2 hours to see it all, a bit more of you want to watch all the videos and such.
Paul D — Google review
Well worth a visit. The description does not really clearly describe it. It is very peaceful and relaxing, with seats in the lovely gardens where you could just take a book and stay. The exhibition on the history of the mountain communities around Grenoble is very good.
Claire S — Google review
An unusual experience... and not necessarily in a good way. This museum is so unusual that I honestly don’t even know what category to put it in: ethnographic museum, local museum, art museum, history museum… maybe all of the above, or none at all. Let’s start with the good points: 1. The location is superb (the museum is situated in one of Grenoble’s historic districts, at the foot of the mountain crowned by the famous Bastille fort) 2. The building, an old monastery from the 17th century, is beautiful (and, I have to say, very well-preserved) 3. The gardens are undoubtedly the highlight — if you bring something to read, you can easily spend a few quiet hours there, especially in summer, when the heat suffocates the citY 4. The collections are, for the most part, beautiful and interesting 5. The baroque church hall is spectacular (especially if you’re into religious art) 6. The interior design of the exhibition rooms is pleasant 7. Information is presented in many different ways — classic leaflets, audio-video materials, models, and even a 3D virtual tour of the baroque hall 8. Admission is free Now, the not-so-good points: 1. The museum feels like a “collection of collections,” some of which have absolutely nothing to do with life in the Alps — for example, an exhibition of African art, which, while lovely, seemed rather misplaced (it would have fit much better in an art museum) 2. As a result of this mix-and-match approach, the layout is somewhat chaotic, and if you’re not paying attention, you might easily miss a few rooms 3. And then there’s the biggest drawback: the temporary exhibitions. When I visited, they were hosting a “contemporary art” exhibition — as you can see in the photos, piles of used clothes scattered on the floor and others hanging from strings all over the monastery. I have no idea what the artist was trying to say, but if the message was “I didn’t feel like tidying up,” it came across loud and clear. In the end, I’ll still give it 4 stars — but mostly for the gardens, and not for the museum itself...
Catalin H — Google review
Nice museum, good collection of historical art and the entrance is free. The chapel was closed. The view of the city, halfway the ascend, is pretty. There's a good climb and stairs to go up there.
Ash — Google review
Interesting museum housed in a former monastery, located on a steep hill above Isere river. Walking to the museum from the riverfront is an entertaining experience itself due to the nice views over Grenoble. There was no entrance fee when we visited (July 2025). The museum garden is a gem, as well as the former monastery cloister with a massive wood installation on display, reminding a monster with huge tentacles popping out from the ground.
Ionut S — Google review
Loved this place! It is very peaceful and it gives you a great view of the city and the mountains as well! It also has interesting collections! Would recommend for sure!
Klaudia B — Google review
We visited on a Thursday afternoon; the museum was calm but not empty. The exhibition on the Bassari country was particularly enjoyable—well-curated and fascinating. We spent a couple of hours exploring the building and three other exhibitions. Highly recommended, especially with free admission.

Haute French restaurant

Maison Fantin Latour - Stéphane Froidevaux is an elegant restaurant housed in a nineteenth-century townhouse, offering stylishly plated meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes. The menu features fine dining options such as fried duck foie gras, slow-steamed cod, and Hokkaido squash soup. With prices ranging from twenty to eighty-five euros, guests can enjoy their meals inside or at candle-lit tables in the well-groomed gardens.
My first time at the brasserie Fantin Latour for lunch, it was an exceptional experience with dishes that were tastefully presented. The taste of each new dish was exceptionally curated with local ingredients, picked by the chef himself in the Alps. There was a story about the chef mountain climbing every Monday to collect some herbs, it added to the charm of the place. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere even though we were in the first room near the entrance with lots of people coming in and out. I'll come back for more
Geraldine H — Google review
We had an amazing experience, the restaurant ambience is great, proffesional and kind staff, supper tasty food, like really supper tasty. Big portions with a lot of tastes. We had a short meeting from the chef at the end of our meal, got a small extra desert for my moms birthday, and nice chat with some of the worker. Really recomended, its a dont miss (:
Edan S — Google review
Indeed worthy of the Michelin star. Food 5/5 The creamy mushroom tart from the amuse-bouche was already off to a great start and put us in a good mood. The presentation and execration of every course was excellent. My favorite was the pigeon course, which was so juicy and gentle and flavorful. I also loved the scallop course, which was as visually stunning as it was delicious. (However, the decorative juniper berry bushes did poke and hurt me.) My only criticism would be that the portion of the ratatouille course was slightly too large, given how many courses there are. My mom and I were both too full towards the end and couldn’t finish the dessert. Speaking of dessert, I adore the restaurant’s commitment in sourcing good/unique ingredients. For the meadow flower used in the dessert, apparently, the chef would take a few ppl from the team to hike up a mountain to collect them twice a week during the summer. They’d get depart at 4am and get there at 6am. The chef would also bring some ham and cheese and have a picnic with the team afterwards. They’d dry several kilos of the flower each season, enough to last them through the winter. Apparently, they’d gather wild lavender sometimes too. I’m glad that I asked about the flowers and got this interesting story! Service 4.8/5 First of all, this place is very English-friendly! Our waitress also told us “I wrote this menu in English for you”, which made it sound like she prepared an English menu just for us right there and then. If that’s the case, then I’m very impressed and really appreciate it. Everyone there was very friendly—i especially loved one guy’s enthusiasm when he explained our course to us (he also told us the flower story). My only complaint would be that the wait between courses was a bit long sometimes. And, for some reason, many people came later than us but finished earlier. (Maybe they all ordered a shorter menu?) We arrived at 7pm and left at about 10:45pm. Atmosphere 4.5/5 The entrance with the stream/fountain was particularly atmospheric. The room was nice too—your standard dim, fine dining setup, nothing too special, but that was enough. We also love the little bird figurines on our table.
Allen — Google review
We ate at the terrace during mid day, the place is absolutely beautiful. Food was average, lunch menu was way better quality/price than a la carte. Service is slow. One of our main course was missing the truffle sauce and the waiter insisted that the sauce was on the plate and that's it. The final bill had approx +100€ mistake. Perhaps coffee offered or apologises like normally in this level places but here they would not do that. Strange experience over all.
Suvi K — Google review
I tried the Brasserie experience (not Michelin restaurant inside). The entry and the desert were spectacular while the main dish kind of disappointed me a bit since I had very high expectations. Although i enjoyed very much the terrace and the food.
Catalin P — Google review
I feel I should diminish the number of stars on previous reviews of other restaurants. Le Fantin Latour changed my opinions on excellence. I had lunch in the garden and I was blown away by the perfection and complexity of everything. The terrine de champignons was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I enjoyed the service and the ambiance as well. For the quality, the price was very reasonable.
Elizabeth G — Google review
The gift of my birthday. Thanks for the French restaurant experience. The service is nice. When the waiter explained the food to us, it seems that she is telling us stories. And the environment is comfortable. Especially we needn’t choose the food, it is all with surprise:)
Grace L — Google review
Thank you for the most breathtaking night! We had an absolutely lovely dinner thanks to the professional yet friendly team and needless to say, the food was superb! Let me start with the setting - the building and decorum is very beautiful, if I were to describe it, fairies and magical creatures would live here. The service was perfect, we did notice that there aren't many younger people there, from what we saw there were more people in their mid 20s and above or let's say established people as their clientele that night, so we appreciate that they treated us just as nice and respectful. It's hard to pick a favorite meal as they were all very delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned, but I guess the most impactful or memorable ones would be the Ratatouille printanière - the vegetables were very colorful, it brings a smile to ones face looking at the dish. Each one had a different profile and it was fun to mix and match, to eat on its own or to pair it with the wine. The textures were also magnificent! Afterwards, the Verre rafraichissant was served at a perfect moment, it still lingers on my palate thanks to the perfect combination of cardamom, cucumber and strawberries. Last but not least, the main meal, 'Côte de veau' was very buttery, tender and exquisite. You can tell that it was made with great care, it didn't had any gamey taste or odour and it literally melts in your mouth with a hazelnut aftertaste. It's not as heavy as usual potatoes, spinach and meat in butter would be. The two different breads, butter and desert were also very very good!! 100% recommended, it's well worth the money and time.

Halles Sainte-Claire is a covered food market in Grenoble, known for its local producers offering walnut-based products like oil, liqueur, and pastries. The market resembles a pint-sized version of Les Halles in Paris and features traditional fruit and vegetable stalls along with traders selling pastries, cheeses, and hot dishes. Despite its small size, the market reflects the habits of modern shoppers and is bustling with activity on weekends.

It’s a smallish under roof market but still worth a visit. My visit was only marred by a mix up over my order for 250gms of ham which somehow the service person took to mean 25 slices. This was after repeatedly telling her two five zero grams in English and sign language. How she interpreted this as 25 slices is beyond me! Arrrgh 😡😡😡 Be warned but don’t let that put you off.

Accessible from Place Saint-Laurent or Place Aristide Briand, this picturesque garden is a popular attraction for visitors. The park provides an ideal setting for leisurely walks, picnics, and outdoor activities.
Nice park that allows you to hike, run, crawl up to the Bastille fort. Some runners tell me that some can reach the top in 20 minutes but a healthy person with good knees can do it in less than an hour. Not counting the time you'll stop to take photos, enjoy the views, etc. You'll see that some parts are easy but some are steep.

Can climb to the top of the mountain Bastile from here. The higher you reach, the more beautiful scene of this city you can see.
Qiaoyin Z — Google review
Just a quick note: you may see quite a few one-star reviews online, but most of them aren’t about the park itself. They usually refer to a restaurant located inside the park, a place I haven’t visited, so I can’t really give an opinion. As for the park, it’s a different story altogether. Jardin des Dauphins is a beautiful park that offers the chance to enjoy a pleasant walk along the mountainside (you can even reach the Bastille Fort if you’re in good shape); it consists of a series of six terraces with retaining walls linked by steps, passageways and paths. The first two terraces are laid out in the style of French gardens, while the higher ones blend into the fortifications, making it hard to tell where the garden ends and the fort begins. Although the climb to the fort isn’t particularly steep or dangerous, it will still test your stamina — but it’s well worth the effort. Negative points: the abundant vegetation attracts swarms of tiger mosquitoes. In addition, the only public toilets are the unisex toilets at the top of the mountain, which are very crowded and not exactly clean. And one last note: I noticed some reviews online where visitors complained they didn’t see any dolphins in the park. To clear things up, the name “Dauphin” doesn’t come from the animal, but from a noble title. It was first used by the counts who ruled this region (Dauphins de Viennois) and, from 1349 onward, it was adopted by the French royal house for the crown prince. So, just to be clear in this aspect, you won’t meet dolphins here...

If you’re looking for a local trail to explore, Jardin des Dauphins is a wonderful choice. This peaceful garden sits at the base of a steep trail and offers a very serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The highlight of the lower section is a beautiful statue that’s definitely worth admiring. For families, the trail becomes even more appealing as you venture upward - you’ll discover several play areas designed for children, making this spot ideal for both nature lovers and parents looking to entertain their kids. The combination of natural beauty, art, and family-friendly amenities makes this a well-rounded destination for locals and visitors alike.

Very nice spot highly attractive for tourists and local visitors. Beautiful views on Grenoble and other surrounding mountains. The bar at the top is a must do. Staff is friendly. Other sports attractions are available on the location. Take les Bulles for down to up or both ways for some thrilling experience.

Efficient and easy service of 'pods' to the top of the hill although I'm aware there is a path. I found these a bit scary but the view was magnificent so I would recommend going upon a clear day. There was a restaurant and snack shop at the top as well as other activities. All levels are wheelchair accessible I believe thanks to the lift.

Café de la Table Ronde is a historic eatery located in Grenoble, France. Established in 1739, it is renowned as the second oldest café in the country. The café's classic ambiance features antique mirrors, period chandeliers, and terrace tables where guests can savor traditional dishes such as beef tartare and duck breast. The cozy interior adorned with authentic French ornaments transports visitors back to the 18th century.
We had a wonderful family meal at Café de la Table Ronde in Grenoble – there were six of us, including two young children, and the whole experience was a delight from start to finish. The service stood out as especially warm, attentive and helpful, without ever feeling overbearing. The staff were kind and patient with the children, and we really appreciated the thoughtful kids' menu, which included some great options beyond the usual basics. I had the St Jacques (scallops) served on ravioli with saffron sauce and roasted vegetables—a truly delicious dish. The ravioli, which I understand is a regional specialty, was absolutely top-notch. My daughter had the children’s version with a creamy cheese sauce, and it was just as tasty. For dessert, I chose the Blueberry Iced Vacherin, another local specialty. It was a beautiful combination of blueberry sorbet, meringue, Chantilly cream and almonds—light, sweet, and totally satisfying. Overall, this was a lovely dining experience with authentic regional flavours, warm hospitality, and excellent value. Would highly recommend!

I am not sure why the restaurant has so low ranking. I am giving the restaurant all the best possible stars and recommend it to everyone! The biggest issue with the price is that we paid 240 euros as the service cost is 60 euros - which is very expensive and not quite fair 😳.

Heavenly food! Friendly, professional service, beautiful surroundings of an authentic, historical beautiful building...why hasn't everyone given 5 stars?! We would love to return if we are back in the region.

Despite the restaurant's busyness, we managed to secure a table quite promptly, even without a reservation. The service was attentive and helpful, making the dining experience enjoyable. I can't speak highly enough about the food. The quality of each dish was truly exceptional. We followed recommendations and tried both the dish of the day, lamb, and their regular offering, callette. Both were truly outstanding. We also indulged in the charcuterie board, salmon tartare, and foie gras. While all were delicious, the foie gras and the terrines on the charcuterie board were particularly outstanding. For those seeking authentic cuisine from this region, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit.

Nestled in the heart of Grenoble, the Musée de l'Ancien Évêché is a captivating destination for history aficionados and art enthusiasts alike. Housed within a magnificent 13th-century former bishop's palace, this museum offers a compelling glimpse into the region's rich cultural legacy. Visitors can explore an extensive array of historical artifacts such as sculptures, paintings, and tapestries spanning from prehistoric times to the 20th century.
We were welcomed in with friendly faces speaking English. One of the only places open in Grenoble in March. The place is free and holds a HUGE amount of information. The displays are beautifully created. They cover archaeology , war times, common people living across thousands of years. There's an audio guide in different languages. Also has clean toilets. It was a great, surprising find.

Exceptional collection of Roman artefacts from early Christian times. These were located at the site of the museum during more recent constriction. Incredible display beneath the museum that has been beautifully presented. The temporary photographic display from talented and daring Tairraz family is not to missed. Recording early days of alpine climbing in the nearby Mt Blanc region was the highlight of the visit.

Excellent museum! (Texts are only in french though). Unlike most "local" archeological museums, where you get always the very same basic information and context, this museum provides a lot of extra, interesting information: lots of maps, old drawings, very detailed tags about all objects, etc. I loved it!

It’s a great museum in wonderful historical building. There is a Roman ruin in the basement that was discovered when they were building the tram lines. You can see the room where they did baptisms and all the artifacts that were found there. The lead pipe that used to bring water to the baptistery is still visible in the ruins. All the other exhibits, on the upper floors, are really well organized and interesting. There’s prehistoric artifacts, Roman weapons, paintings and other interesting exhibitions. All the signs and descriptions are in French, but you can use a translate app if you need to. Also it’s free!

Nice restaurant near the Grenoble train station. We were barely able to take a sit even without a reservation, but it's highly recommended to reserve a table. Simple and clear menu, with few but good alternatives. Gratine is very good, also the beef and salmon. Desserts are tasty, too. We particularly enjoyed the passion fruit cheesecake. It was a pity there were just the last 2 portions available. We found brownies to be too "challenging" for a single person, and ham as side for the gratine had a no so nice smell. We will surely come back again in the future.

Musée archéologique Saint-Laurent is a historical gem located in Grenoble, France. It houses a well-known 6th-century crypt within a historic church and offers audio guides for visitors to explore its ancient artifacts. The museum provides an opportunity to witness incredibly preserved ruins from a 4th-century necropolis, showcasing 1500 years of funerary and religious history.
Excellent museum. There was a lot of effort put into the audio guides which was appreciated. The staff were friendly but most of the information was relayed by the audio guide. This was the best museum I visited in Grenoble.

This stunning archaeological site is like no other museum I have visited. The beautiful church that sits on the mountain side has had the ground excavated and is now protected from the elements by new modern structures. Make sure you take the audio guide, it really brings the site to life.
Dan M — Google review
Not my cup of coffee... A collection of skeletons, old graves, and very deep wells. Unless you’re passionate about archaeology (and I mean REALLY passionate), there isn’t much to see here. In short, the positive points: 1. Location – in the old part of the city, close to the "Escalier des géants", one of the most beautiful and challenging roads leading to the Bastille fort. 2. The building itself – an old monastery, very well preserved. 3. Free admission. 4. Audio guide – available in almost all international languages. Unfortunately, the information it provides isn’t particularly engaging. 5. Light and sound effects in the crypt – actually, that’s the only truly interesting thing in the museum. 6. Interior layout – the museum is well organized, with signs, glass floors, and walkways that allow visitors to explore (almost) every nook and cranny. Cons: 1. Too morbid and too repetitive for my taste. 2. The annoying temporary exhibition that also ruined my visit to the Dauphinois Museum – piles of clothes scattered haphazardly among the tombs and along the monastery walls.

One of the most engaging museums I have ever seen. The brilliant design allows visitors to walk among (up to) 2000 year old archaeological findings that are in situ, which is unique and quite remarkable. At one point in the tour, you will stand and freely walk in a 1500 year old crypt, with all original adornments (no replacement replicas), and walk along ancient pathways and stairs. The long history of this site, from Roman necropolis to Catholic Church to Benedictine monks and back to church again, all cleverly displayed. There are Indiana Jones vibes to some sections of the audio tour (very much in a good way). The staff are professional and courteous. This is a highly recommended stop while in Grenoble, do not miss it.

The Museum of the Resistance and Deportation of Isère in Grenoble offers a poignant exploration of the city's wartime experience during the Nazi occupation. Established by former resistance fighters and deportees, this museum houses a collection of around 5,000 objects including photographs and documents from that era. It provides a specific focus on Grenoble's active resistance movement and the stories of those deported due to their religion or political beliefs.
The Museum is free and fantastic but the air conditioning didn't work on this visit that made it an awful environment to see the terrific and thought provoking exhibits and artifacts. Very good visit. Well worth finding out what happened during WW2 in Toulouse - Resistance and Deportation - wise. The museum is on two levels and well presented. Most of the exhibits are naturally in French. Some also in English - relevant for me. There were also some exhibits about the SOE involvement in the French resistance and some horrific stories of fighters being deported to some of the Nazi concentration camps. Good stories and bad but worth a visit and the staff were friendly too. Finally, the museum is situated in a nice part of Toulouse close to some beautiful parks. Oh! And last of all - it's free! Thanks!!

Had a wonderful visit to this museum! The soldiers at the reception were incredibly kind and welcoming; they tried speaking English to help us and explained everything in detail. At the end of our tour, we got the unique opportunity to try on soldier equipment (which was expectedly heavy at 12 kg!). Of course, we also took selfies together. Then we participated in a fun quiz and were gifted a postcard as a souvenir. Since we were young visitors, admission was fortunately free. We left some lovely remarks on the visitor book as well. Huge thanks for the hospitality, it was truly a memorable experience! 😍🫡

A very pleasant surprise in this small but very interesting museum. As a mountaineer I greatly enjoyed the alpine climbing aspects of what these soldiers were able to accomplish in WW2. There is a similar museum in Courmayeur with a section dedicated to the Alpini, the Italian version of the same troops, which is also very interesting. My favourite display was the cannon mounted on the back of a mule - what a sight.
Kent K — Google review
A small, niche, and very well-organized museum, it presents the evolution and key events that shaped the history of the mountain troops in the Alps. The entrance fee is low (3 euros for a full ticket and 1.5 euros for a reduced one). The collections are interesting, there are plenty of informative panels inside, and if you’re truly passionate about military history, you can borrow an audio guide from the reception for even more detailed explanations than those on the display boards. If you’re interested in military history, this museum is definitely worth a visit - especially since, as you’ll see when you get there, the much-vaunted fort overlooking Grenoble doesn’t actually offer that many attractions. On the other hand, if you’re more of a pacifist, this might not be the right place for you.
Catalin H — Google review
The soliders running the museum were very down to earth. At only 1.50 EUR it is highly worth a visit when you are up at the Bastille. Money goes to a worthy cause and the exhibit is interesting. You get given an audio guide which helps guides you through the 10 different areas inside and this comes in French, English, Italian and German. I would recommend visiting here.

A really memorable experience. Thank you

Definitely worth a visit if you're in Grenoble!

Cathédrale Notre-Dame is a Catholic cathedral complex with Gothic interiors and 18th-century art. It survived religious wars and the French Revolution, preserving Renaissance-era art including a 14-meter high stone screen and rare wooden carvings depicting the life of Christ. The cathedral is located in downtown Grenoble, within the popular districts of Ile Verte and Notre-Dame.
The church is quite old and fascinating. Sunday prayers we going on when we went there. The church had a very pleasant odur of candles and very peaceful environment. Absolutely stunning venue for a football game. Seats are clearly labelled and the stadium has an open feel. Mostly covered seating which is great. Good link to public transportation. Go early if you want to purchase food as queues get long.

Great stadium with excellent facilities. 20k capacity perfect for a great atmosphere with a 17k crowd. Clears out really quickly. Don't get left behind after a late kick off game or you'll have nobody around to ask for directions.

This small heritage museum is a great tribute to the accomplished writer Henri Beyle, who spent his formative years here. Highlights include manuscripts, lithographs, and other artifacts from Stendhal's life. Audio guides are recommended to fully appreciate the collection.
A small cosy museum. Has an audioguide in French and English, as well as printed info in these and several more languages. A very nice place to learn about Stendhal as a living human being and as a writer. I had not read Stendhal and knew nothing about his personal life. Yet I found the museum interesting and inspiring. Both the entrance and the audioguide are free - you just have to tell the receptionist where you come from. The museum is located deep inside an old building, which is also an opportunity to learn a bit about local architecture - the building's inner yard is very similar to those in old Lyon.

(Translated by Google) A marvel of historic restoration/preservation nestled in the heart of downtown Grenoble. It's by far a must-see if you're passing through the city, especially since, like many other museums in the city, the visit is free. Of course, it's relatively quick to complete given that the site only covers one apartment. The documents on display are of great value and provide insight into the history and lifestyle of the man. The only drawback is the somewhat restrictive opening hours, but it's not a major drawback.

Nestled in the heart of Grenoble, Fromagerie Les Alpages is a cheese lover's paradise run by Bernard Mure-Ravaud, a renowned figure in the world of cheese. Since 1984, this shop has been a go-to destination for both connoisseurs and casual enthusiasts. With his son Renaud as his successor, Bernard supplies top restaurants with an impressive selection of cheeses. The shop itself is adorned with brass plaques showcasing its high-quality offerings.
The best cheese shop of Grenoble, if not of the whole France!!! Great products, huge choice, friendly service (mandatory: unless you know everything about French cheese, you need they advice to chose between what they have). Just, be prepared to cue: being the best place to buy cheese, and people knowing it, it causing long cues. Likely, service is fast and cue, even is long, does not take much time. Enjoy!

I asked for a selection of local cheeses from the region of Grenoble, available from the counter. A very gentle guy helped me to choose (I love cheese even if i’m not an expert at all). All was well vacuum packed ready for my trip to home. The selection was perfect, quality is top, and for many days I really enjoyed all those fine cheeses I brought with me. Very good quality and top service. Recommended!

This cheese shop is a true delight! Their outstanding selection of cheeses is impressive, but what really shined was the exceptional kindness of the employees. They greeted us with such warmth and were incredibly helpful in guiding us through their vast assortment, crafting a perfectly tailored selection of samples for us. A definite must-visit in Grenoble—highly recommended!

I visited to purchase some local cheeses to take back to Canada. M. Mure-Ravaud was very accommodating and used his expertise to pick out a suitable selection for me. He wrapped and vacuum sealed the cheeses for my trip home - I'm very happy to say they made the trip very well, and we're enjoying them as a reminder of my trip to Grenoble. This fromagerie is definitely worth the trip - an easy walk from the train station and my hotel through the charming Grenoble town centre.

Nestled in the heart of Grenoble, the Muséum de Grenoble is a treasure trove for both art and nature enthusiasts. This remarkable museum boasts an impressive collection of nearly 1.5 million specimens, ranging from fossils to minerals, plants, and animals. Art lovers will be captivated by its extensive array of over 800 artworks that span from the 13th to the 20th century.
The museum is free to enter but you still need to register yourself in the front desk. Basically its divided by three topic: the taxidermy, fossils and stones/crystal. When I went there, there were a lot of children and i guess its a good educational experience for them!
Fairuz A — Google review
This is a great place to take the kids! The exhibit is covers the ground floor plus two upper floors. The exhibit on the first floor (second floor for Americans) covers the fauna of the Alps with plenty of animals to see. The upper floor has geology from the region. On the ground floor opposite the ticket counter and next to the gift store is the display for prehistoric flora and fauna. English is available on some of the exhibits. In the Jardin behind the museum is a play area when the kids need to burn energy.

The museum is great value at 5 EUR and will take you around an hour to explore it's 2 main floors. The exhibition's were interesting but note there is no English everything is in French only. Staff were nice and toilets were also available. Worth a visit if you are in Grenoble.

Small but really nice museum with a secret but impressive tropical garden. It was fascinating seeing all the plant while outside it was cold, really enjoyed the visit
Ismaele G — Google review
A beautiful museum. The building itself is wonderful. The staging of the animal species is spectacular, a work of art, full of drama, managing to give each animal the leading role in the scene, you can even hear the birds singing while they show you which bird it corresponds to. A truly varied insectarium with species that are very well preserved and adapted so that everyone can appreciate them. The rock room is phenomenal, plus the plant garden and vivarium are completely wonderful. Absolutely recommended.

Its not a huge museum but they have a wide variety of things from taxidermied animals, minerals, a LOT of fossils I loved staring at the fossilized flowers and the dinosaur eggs, but my favorites were the crystalized bark, they have some really pretty pieces. the touchscreen guides work but,,, barely. i gave up on them halfway but my visit was enjoyable nonetheless.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this museum. Having nothing to do in Grenoble, I stopped by and really was impressed by the minerals, insects, and animals. Not impressed with this place, There is no table service, you have to go to the wall next to the counter to choose from the menu on the wall. I had the Blind Pig Cocktail itself is not great but passable or drinkable if you like. Now if you are a female and have to go to the toilet brace yourself to this very French concept, to go in and out of the female toilet, you have to pass the men urinol and just hope you won't see anything you don't want to. Métrovélo (Gare Grenoble) is a bike rental shop conveniently located near the city center and right next to the bus/train station in Grenoble. The staff is known for being super friendly and helpful, offering a nice selection of bikes including the nichola cargo bike, which provides a lot of fun for exploring the city.
It was easy to rent a bicycle a few months ago. Today I showed up without an appointment for regular maintenance. The staff was friendly, identified a small number of problems, and asked me to wait 30 minutes (which I spent at a nearby café ...). The bicycle works perfectly again.
David O — Google review
Really unhelpful. I was asked for my bank IBAN which I could show on my banking app. No - it had to be printed (using my handy back pocket printer I always carry!). So bike hire was refused. This week I hired a €25,000 car from Enterprise - no problem. But I'm unable to hire a €50 bike for 3 hours.

This bike shop is conveniently placed close to the city centre and directly next to the bus/train station in Grenoble. The staff were super friendly towards us and helped us. They have a really nice selection of bikes, we choose the nichola cargo bike which was a lot of fun. Had a really good time exploring Grenoble as the cycling infrastructure is excellent. Definitely worth the money we paid (€50 for one week) for the cargo bike. Normal bikes are a lot cheaper at €3 per day.
Alexa B — Google review
Really unhelpful. I just rent an electric bike from them an it gives me the range of just 15km in one charge i go to the Gare cutomer center and explain them my situation they just told me like they give the range of 15Km. The staff is not cooperative. I am an electrical engineer i know the stuff but they are just asking we cant do anything. Not realising the situation and just askign the battery give that range in this model. i dont know where in the world somebody would rent an electric bike and they give range of 15 to 20km. just a waste of money.

The ride offers stunning views from the mountain top, providing visitors with a beautiful experience.
Very beautiful view of the city from the mountain top. The cable car ride was quite a thrill. Really fun spot, easy to navigate with a great scenery for photographs and getaways. Fun thing is that dogs are allowed on the cable cars. Not sure of other pets though. You could take a view of the city from the top just by sliding coins into the stationed ‘binoculars’. Great experience.

I loved the cable car ride and the nice view that you get. Although the ride is for very short duration, riding it by using day tourist pass is affordable. The view from the hill top is very nice and one can see the entire Grenoble and the snow covered (partly/fully depending on weather) hills. There is a nice meandering jogging way down. If you have time definitely try it to get a different type of hiking experience in the city .

Book 2 weeks early if you want a table. Good food and wines, great service. We had the bad luck of choosing à table near à 6 person group which were VERY loud, so we had to leave early and couldn't try the desserts. (Which seemed very tasty) Tldr: - don't choose à table near à group table. - try the desserts - book in advance

Art Museums
Le Magasin, also known as the National Centre for Contemporary Art, is housed in a vast glass-roofed warehouse originally built by Gustave Eiffel's workshop for the 1900 Paris Worlds Fair. It was dismantled and rebuilt in Grenoble where it now serves as a center for contemporary art. The museum features two large-scale interior spaces dedicated to new exhibitions or solo shows every three months.
I feel like I love all the art galleries in France. Thank you to the government for making art more accessible to everyone by offering free admission.

No sign. No markings. After all the management doesn't have to care, as they are paid the same if there is a million visitors, or only the artist and the artist's family. Actually, many visitors would be too much trouble, so why bother? Closed for weeks, sparsely located art, the space is simply too large for what they usually exhibit here. Also, there is are only a few parking spaces, and those are taken by the employees, or the locals living in the buildings near the hall.

Grenoble is famous not only as the host city of Winter Olympic Games 1968 but also as the starting point of the French Revolution (together with nearby village of Vizille). Fontaine des Trois Ordres is dedicated to the 1788 event and worth a closer look. Although the Revolution ended up with lots of blood, stabbings and beheadings the monument will remind the visitors the ideals of this Revolution, for which many people around the world are still struggling nowadays: Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité.

(Translated by Google) Great!, the Fountain of the Three Orders, also called the Fountain of the Century, is a monument commemorating the pre-revolutionary events of the summer of 1788 in Grenoble, i.e. the Day of the Tiles (June 7, 1788) and the Meeting of the States General of the Dauphiné. It was inaugurated in 1897. It is a round bowl with a diameter of 12 meters with a central column 9 meters high, on which there are three Carrara marble figures, arranged fraternally around tables on which human rights are inscribed. The figures symbolize the three orders in Dauphiné society in the old regime: the Third Estate, the clergy and the nobility, the forerunners of the three orders of the oath of the court of Versailles. In the center of the pool, four bronze tritons call out a water song from their cornucopias, proclaiming the emerging values of the new Republic: Liberty, Equality, Fraternity and Justice, while four griffins spit water through their nostrils. These bronze parts were melted down in 1942 and replaced in 1957. If you're in the area, it's worth seeing. I recommend! (Original) Super!, Fontanna Trzech Zakonów, zwana także Fontanną Stulecia, to pomnik upamiętniający przedrewolucyjne wydarzenia lata 1788 w Grenoble, czyli Dzień Płytek (7 czerwca 1788) i Spotkanie Stanów Generalnych Dauphiné . Postacie symbolizują trzy zakony w społeczeństwie Dauphiné w starym reżimie: stan trzeci, duchowieństwo i szlachta, prekursory trzech porządków przysięgi dworu wersalskiego. Pośrodku basenu cztery trytony z brązu wołają ze swoich rogów obfitości pieśń wodną, głosząc rodzące się wartości nowej Republiki: Wolność, Równość, Braterstwo i Sprawiedliwość, a cztery gryfy plują wodą przez nozdrza. Te części z brązu zostały stopione w 1942 roku i zastąpione w 1957 roku. Jeżeli jesteście w okolicy, to warto zobaczyć. Polecam!

The staff is very nice, the lockers aren't for free. I really like the events that happen there sometimes, various themes to attract the most people as possible ( different music genres...) The drinks are affordable but often a big line to take an order. There is 1 toilet per gender so there is often a line to use it so I recommend to take care of your bladder before coming. I totally recommend the place , though :)

One of best concert venues in Grenoble! A lot of events are happening there now, from educational concerts for kids to deepest electro party. Good acoustic installation. Prices are usually higher than in other places though. A big bar is available upstairs, although you'd probably patient, there is always a wait for big concerts.
Serguei P — Google review
The food is OK, researched, tasty and inventive. However, I find the food to be too expensive for the size and quality of the ingredients. It feels as if the owner is more concerned with the presentation than the general feeling if his food (presentation is important, but so is size and taste). I am not entirely sure that I'd want to go back there soon.

Great venue yet two critiques, 1. The acoustics are not the best and is due to the fact that it's in an expo centre. 2. The layout is great except for if you are in a wheelchair... Wheelchair seats are 5 meters from the seats of their able bodied friends or family. This is frankly disgusting. One cannot enjoy a concert sitting alone among strangers.... Do something about this and your booking system for disabled patrons.
Dewald B — Google review
Horrible seat set up with people in front of you obstructing view of the stage, hardly any catering (food choice was crisps or stale baguette). After driving to Grenoble for nearly 3 hrs very disappointing. On the positive note staff and hostesses were friendly and approachable.
Lukasz.Nalewaj — Google review

Everything is perfect (I sat up front) except for the seating arrangements. The chairs are made of plastic with not much leg room. I’m 160 cm / 5’3 and I had barely enough space to stretch my legs! You literally rub shoulders with the people on either side.
Trini G — Google review
Beautiful ballet and live orchestra were completely ruined by the venue. It is true that the small, plastic, fold-down seats are very painful after any amount of time seated in them. The temperature in the auditorium was boiling hot with no air flow what so ever. Also, not many servers at the bar for the break in show. Toilet lines were very long as well. We ended up leaving during the pause because to stay any longer felt like torture. Complete shame.

Many travelers have shared positive experiences with Europcar, highlighting the comfort and advanced technology of their cars that enhance long journeys. The plush seating and smooth driving make for an enjoyable ride.
I recently borrowed a car from Europcar for a long trip, and I was thoroughly impressed. The car's advanced technology made the journey incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. From the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was in for a great ride. The seats were plush and supportive, the driving experience smooth and effortless. One standout feature was driver assist feature, which made the car do almost everything on the journey. It's clear that Europcar invests in top-of-the-line vehicles, and it definitely paid off for me. Overall, I can't recommend Europcar enough. Their attention to detail and commitment to providing a superior driving experience make them stand out from the competition. If you're planning a trip and need a reliable car rental service, look no further than Europcar.

We payed extra 133 euros for one way, which wasn't highlighted nowhere on the website. While booking online, we payed only the standard 80euros per day without the 133 euros, despite the fact, that you fill in the place where u take the car and where u return it, so it is already obvious its gonna be one way. Then u receive a confirmation, where at the bottom with the tiniest font possible it says, that u will have to pay extra. Obviously we didn't notice this small note. It feels like real scam. Why don't u ask for the money together with the 80euros, so the total price is clear right away without hidden fees.

I was generally very pleased with the service and the quality of the car. I had however, pre-booked a child seat, and it took quite some time for the receptionist to find one that was suitable for the age of the child. The seat was serviceable, but was very old, with the foam lining breaking down and a very dirty seat cover. Given the cost of renting the seat, I would have expected a much newer seat.
David C — Google review
Very good experience overall, the only thing that is disappointing is we reserved sub-compact car fiat 500 but we ended up getting a mid-sized MG, staff is very helpful and friendly, office is conveniently located across from the train station. MG drives well, just no useful feature like car play, not convinced for navigation
Jon L — Google review
Europcar in general is a scam and this place only made our situation worse. Here's the story: We rented a car from Europcar at Orly airport in Paris. We intended to return the car a week later to Orly. Unfortunately, we got a screw in the tire in Grenoble the weekend before our Monday flight was due to leave. After several hours on the phone, we finally we received a response from the Europcar 24/7 roadside assistance number - they said to take the car to this Grenoble Europcar location the morning of our flight. They said that location would have another car to give us in exchange. As instructed, we went to this location Monday morning and they were extremely unhelpful. They said they did not have a similar car for us. We said that was fine, we would take any car. Then they said they did not have any automatic cars. We said that was fine, we can drive a manual car. Then they said they had no manual cars. We reminded them that we were told to come here to exchange the car and that we were told they would have a car for us. Then they said we could have a car at 2 PM. Since we were in Grenoble and our flight was from Orly at 7 PM, we would miss our flight. So what was it? First they have no comparable cars (it was an SUV), then they have no automatic cars, then they have no cars at all? And then they suddenly seem to have a car at 2PM?? Seriously? Honestly, I think these people were being actively unhelpful. I'm not sure what we did to make them angry (perhaps it was simply because we are American and speak only some French), but the constant shifting excuses and refusal to suggest any solutions to our problem makes me think they were deliberately refusing to exchange the car, not that they had no car to offer us. We had to make our flight, so we left the car with them and managed to get train tickets (for more than 200€) to Orly and thankfully made our flight on time. Now we are getting charged 600€ more than expected, for leaving the car in Grenoble. This charge was not mentioned by the people in Grenoble when we left the car with them. We wanted to drive to Orly. We certainly did not want to pay more than 200€ to carry our luggage on 5 different trains to get there. Now they are charging us almost double than the expected cost for their screw up! We have tried their customer service number, and we were told we had to call the French number, which is not toll free. The last time we called that number, when we had the issue with the car, we were on hold for hours and never talked to anyone. We were told to email their customer service email, and we did so, and no one ever responded. When we needed help with the tire, no one at Europcar would answer the phone. After hours of calling, we finally got a hold of someone who told us we would get a replacement car, but then the location they directed us to would not help us. And now that we have a billing issue, they won't respond to any inquiry! Do not rent from them!
Erin G — Google review
Service is unfriendly, the lady got angry and did not respond in English any longer, even after saying that I do not speak French. The payment machine did not work, and they did not even have a second one as alternative. Now they made us pay 50€ more for a different payment solution.

It is the highest peak overlooking the city of Grenoble. You can trek all the way from the base of the mountain from the banks of the river Isere or take a cable car upto Bastille and then hike the other half of the way. There is a war memorial at the top and the peak offers beautiful view of the city below.
Gourav S — Google review
Not too far from la Bastille, you can see Grenoble so much better from here

(Translated by Google) Mont Jalla (634 meters), together with the Bastille, forms the southern tip of the Chartreuse Massif. From here, you have a beautiful view of the city of Grenoble, although part of the view is blocked by the Bastille Fort, which is located slightly lower. Mont Jalla is ideal if you still have energy left after climbing the Bastille Fort or are looking for a cozy spot for a picnic. It's also not very touristy, and with a bit of luck, you can enjoy the peace and quiet. At the summit of Mont Jalla, you'll find a war memorial commemorating the 150,000 fallen soldiers who were part of the Troupes de Montagne (mountain troops). Mont Jalla is ideal to combine with the Bastille Fort. For experienced hikers, it might also be worthwhile to combine Mont Jalla with Mont Rachais (1049 meters).

Natural history museum
Museums
The Grenoble Natural History Museum is a municipal museum in the city of Grenoble, France, founded in 1851. It has a rich natural heritage and exhibits specimens from botany, zoology, geology and ethnology. The museum has over 1.5 million objects and specimens.
Rex T — Google review
The museum is great value at 5 EUR and will take you around an hour to explore it's 2 main floors. The exhibition's were interesting but note there is no English everything is in French only. Staff were nice and toilets were also available. Worth a visit if you are in Grenoble.
Vin C — Google review
Jared Z — Google review
Its not a huge museum but they have a wide variety of things from taxidermied animals, minerals, a LOT of fossils I loved staring at the fossilized flowers and the dinosaur eggs, but my favorites were the crystalized bark, they have some really pretty pieces. the touchscreen guides work but,,, barely. i gave up on them halfway but my visit was enjoyable nonetheless.
Anna M — Google review
I was really pleasantly surprised by this museum. Having nothing to do in Grenoble, I stopped by and really was impressed by the minerals, insects, and animals. Found it to be extremely interesting because it all tied into the Alps' natural history. Small but worth it- especially because it's free for those under 25!

A true beauty in the center of the city! If you are looking for a park for your kids or just a nice place to eat a sandwich with a beautiful view on the mountain this is the place. No cars around, some grass to sit, a playground for the kids and a peaceful atmosphere.

Oliver V — Google review
Very friendly, young and helpful staff. Speak good english and gave several suggestions on what to see around. Availability of English audio guides to self walking tour of the old city at moderate prices was also a plus. The location is quite central and easily reachable by public transport.

Ladies out here are friendly (by global standard, well above French standard) and take pleasure in helping and guiding tourists to achieve better experience in Grenoble, based on available time. Special thanks to the thin lady(don't recall her name, je suis désolé madame !) who solved the online payment issue and offered me the one day pass. You also have city merchandise, agricultural and artisan products for sale as souvenir ( of course as usual globally, it will be a bit expensive).

Historical landmark
Sculpture
Tour Perret, located in Grenoble, is a significant landmark that has been standing since May 4th, 1925. This tower is a symbol of the city's industrial development and is set to celebrate its centenary soon. The town hall has pledged to renovate the building due to the deterioration of its cement structure over time. Tour Perret was the world's first steel-reinforced concrete tower and offers stunning views from the top.
This tower has been in Grenoble since 4th May 1925. So it will be 100 years old very soon. I believe the town hall has promised to renovate the building as the cement it is built from has been cracking and falling apart over the years. It was the first steel reinforced concrete tower in the world apparently.
Mark L — Google review
Can't wait for the major renovations to be completed so we can again see the view from the top... for the first time since 1960!!
