Beach
Outdoor Activities
Mogren beach is a popular destination in Montenegro, located just 150 meters from the Old Town of Budva. It has been awarded the Blue Flag qualification for its high-quality water, maintenance, and service. The beach consists of two parts connected by a small promontory and offers ample sunbeds, making it suitable for families with children and couples. Additionally, there are beach cafes available for refreshments and food.
Really nice beach if you are willing to pay 20€ per person for a sunbed. If you are here in September definitely go it wasn’t too crowded and the weather and water were perfect. The view was amazing too. But I can see why going in July or August would be hell
Lenja D — Google review
The beach seemed beautiful with crystal clear waters. Unfortunately on the day we visited, it was very crowded, hardly any places to walk or sit on the beach. Would recommend going earlier in the day if you want a sunbed, even so, it would get crowded eventually, so if you don't mind that, it's still a nice pebble beach.
Merine A — Google review
3 stars reflects the complete over crowding of the beach. Yes scenery is beautiful but you can't really enjoy and relax. Worth a working visit but if you want to swim and have space there are loads of other options.
Sarah C — Google review
We went in October and had a great time!! The beach is so nice. There also weren’t to many people around. There was enough space to lay down. All the bars, stores and the toilets were closes however. But that is normal for the off season. It’s a great place to take pictures and overall enjoy the nature of Budva!!
Emilia H — Google review
We visited Mogren Beach in the middle of summer, around noon, and it was extremely crowded. We walked from Old Budva City Center all the way to Mogren 2 Restaurant along a stunning, well-paved path right on the water — the walk itself is definitely worth the trip. Once you arrive, you’ll find that the beach is mostly fine rocks and pebbles, but there are wooden pathways to make getting around easier. Loungers, chairs, and umbrellas are available for rent (€20–30 per person, depending on the row you choose). There are also lockers for valuables, plenty of restaurants, and places to grab drinks. Because it was so busy, we ended up sitting by the rocks instead of renting loungers. A big tip: bring water shoes — the rocks can be painful to walk on. The water temperature was typical for the Adriatic in summer: refreshing and perfect for cooling off. Overall, Mogren Beach is a beautiful spot with plenty of amenities, but in peak summer it can be frustrating to find space. If you don’t mind the crowds, it’s worth the visit for the views, the clear water, and the lively atmosphere.
Melanie J — Google review
The beach itself is simply wonderful, very beautiful pebbles and crystal clear water. However, about 90% of the time it’s ridiculously overcrowded and impossible to enjoy your time here, unfortunately, choosing a less crowded beach in the area would be a better option.
Google G — Google review
A charming, small beach with clear water and a gentle, gradual entry into the sea—excellent for swimming with little worry of rocks. A word of caution: the facilities looked abandoned and run-down (though this may have been because it was the off-season). Perfect for a basic swim and sunbathing, but don't count on any amenities."
Synkko — Google review
Nice spot with a beautiful view but 95% of the beach is privet so you must to pay 30/40€ for an umbrella and 5.5€ for a beer. Really crazy prices.

Old Town Budva is a significant project that celebrates the cultural and historical heritage of the ancient city. Supported by various socially responsible companies, it aims to showcase Budva's rich past. The town has seen transitions from Venetian to Habsburg rule, flirtations with Russia and Napoleonic France, and a period as part of Yugoslavia. Despite enduring a devastating earthquake in 1979, which damaged much of the Old Town, it remains one of Montenegro's most sought-after attractions.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
The Podmaine Monastery, a 15th-century Serbian Orthodox monastery, is situated in a picturesque hillside location and boasts vibrant interior frescoes. Built by the Crnojevi noble family, it comprises two churches - a smaller one from the same period dedicated to the Presentation of the Mother of God and a larger one built in 1747 devoted to the Dormition of the Mother of God.
Great place to see some daily life of monks from Montenegro, there is free entrance and small but free parking in front of monastery. There is local shop with religious gifts and items as holy icons or books, bracelets, partying items that monks sell to visitors to have money for living. F For me it was something else- a small pause for relatively fast visit during Budva exploration, recommend for having fuller taste of Montenegro diversity.
Wielkopolanin — Google review
Beautiful monastery. Very nice, old church. Old-style, julian calendar is used in here. Even if you are not orthodox i recommend to visit, have a look at mass and enjoy amazing view from monastery.
Jasiek Ż — Google review
Lovely monastery, quiet, peaceful, and not overrun by tourists. Lush garden, well-maintained buildings, and great interior frescoes. Great photo spot at sunset.
Kris P — Google review
Nice small monastery, very calm. Free entrance.
Brita N — Google review
Calm simple orthodox monastery. Have new church, and the old church dated to 15th century. Very good feeling and very friendly monks.

I like this place so much. My favorite place in Budva. I can spend here full day. So calm. My soul enjoy the time here always. Thanks monks a lot, Gob bless you 🙏

Slovenska Plaza Beach, located within walking distance from the Old Town of Budva, is one of the largest and most popular beaches in the area. It offers a range of activities including vibrant nightlife, cocktail bars, traditional cuisine restaurants, and various water sports such as jet skiing and parasailing. The beach spans about 5,000 feet and is surrounded by green hills with thatched umbrellas dotting the sandy shore.
Slovenska Plaža is the best beach I’ve ever been to. In the morning, the ocean is clear and you can see every fish swimming under you. There’s shops where you can buy water, snacks, and ice cream! When it’s a hot summer day in Budva, you won’t regret coming to this beach.
Emma — Google review
There are no showers or changing rooms. There are no barriers in the water, it is dangerous to swim because the ships pass too close. I do not recommend this beach!
Nikita — Google review
This is a stone beach, but the stones and the sand are very painfull to walk on. The water is very clear, and there are small fish .
Andreea L — Google review
Amazing views, beautiful nature. But very very cold water. If you like to swim a lot, not suggested to choose this location. In case you want to relax with unbelievable views, it is best place to visit. Prices for 2 sun-beds and umbrella vary between 20-50 euro for full day.
Lana U — Google review
Very good nature, very tasty food and very bad room cleaning, they just wet the floor and don't clean. Nobody took out the waste from the litters It's not the cleanest place on the Adriatic coast. I like the place.. I don't like the service 🥳
Michael B — Google review
The worst beach I've ever seen. Probably the worst time of the year (august) to see it but, so crowded and so much trash on the floor... it looked like a festival just ended. Montenegro has amazing nature to offer/show, unfortunately this beach is not a good example of that.
José A — Google review
A dirty, neglected beach. I’ve been to different countries, but it’s the first time I’ve seen all the beaches packed with sunbeds at an unreasonable price! The sea is dirty, there’s filth everywhere, café prices are inflated, and the food is of poor quality.
Mariia S — Google review

Sveti Nikola Beach, located on the sunny side of Sveti Nikola Island in Montenegro, is a paradise for sun and sea lovers. Accessible by water taxis or free boats from Budva, this beach offers almost constant sunshine and some shade among the rocks. While the stony sand requires water shoes for entry into the clear waters, visitors can enjoy a less crowded environment compared to mainland beaches.
The beach on the sunny side of Sveti Nikola Island in Montenegro is a true paradise for sea and sun enthusiasts. Its unique feature is the almost constant sunshine, and there are opportunities to find shade among the rocks. What makes this place even more convenient is the accessibility via water taxis, making it easily reachable for visitors who don't have their own means of transportation. As you soak in the gentle sounds of the waves and the warm sun's rays, you'll immerse yourself in an atmosphere of peace and relaxation. However, it's worth noting that due to its exposure to the sun, it's best to avoid the hottest parts of the day, so it's advisable to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon. This beach offers an excellent opportunity to enjoy the sea and the stunning view without the need for extensive travel.
Евгений К — Google review
Nice beach, perfect for getting the sun late in the day, plenty of boats available to take you there and back from the main land, sunbeds are reasonably priced compared to the main land (€15 for 2), pretty rocky getting in and little uncomfortable on the feet!
Pete S — Google review
Good place to rest and swim. It has clear water but almost no sand. The sunbeds and umbrella are 25€. There's some garbage on the floor.
Filipe M — Google review
Good from pictures, but definitely not good to visit. There are a way better opportunities to swim in the blue lagoon for free than coming to this island which is absolutely not prepared for welcoming its guest: trash everywhere, the buildings are not maintained, and overall everything is in very bad condition. Important: you can not walk around at the edge of the island as it is closed! You will have only two beaches to see, but again: you will be dissappointed. It could be even better if someone would invest some money to rebuild the facilities there. At the moment it is only a weak activity for your holiday.
Daniel K — Google review
The water on the island is really clean. However, the beaches are rocky so swimming is difficult. The landscapes are great. Beach chairs are 15-20€.
Josefiina A — Google review
You can reach this beach by taxi boat (10 euro one way), or a free boat organized by the Hawaii beach that leave hourly from Budva. The sunbeds plus umbrela cost 15 euros/day. I highly recommend to wear shoes for water. The sand is made from rocks, and when you enter in the water you can fall. There is a restaurant where you can eat, and also another place that sell cocktails and coffees. The view is beautiful and is not so crowded like the beaches on the land.
Zamfir L — Google review
Great place! The beach is stony, but not crowded as all beaches in Budva. There is a bar nearly. "Komplet" 2 sunbeds and an umbrella costs 10 eur. To get there you can use a boat transfer (Magic Stars i.e.) for 5 eur return ticket. Boats departing every 30min.
Rolnik B — Google review
Nothing remarkable. The island is rocky, hard to swim, and special footwear is definitely needed. Bars and restaurants are worn out and overpriced!

Aquapark Budva in Budva, Montenegro is a thrilling water park complex that offers a wide range of attractions for visitors of all ages. The park features extreme slides for adults, special children's attractions, pools, and a water playground. Additionally, it boasts bars, restaurants with panoramic views of the city and the Riviera, as well as a souvenir shop. With over 50 attractions spread across more than 41.
A small but nice park. Its has three adventurous ride for adults out of which one was closed. There are couple of rides for children and one more for infants. It also has a large swimming pool and adjacent showers. They also have locker facility to safeguard your valuables.
Dhiraj L — Google review
I think the water park is a good idea but the ticket to come in is in my eyes very overpriced. We were four so it was around 100Euros. Plus you cannot take drinks and food with you because you should go and buy some overpriced food. It's a cool water park with quite some amount of slides but I think there are to high prices. I mean, you pay adult price for a 8 year old child that's over 130cm. I don't think its worth more then once
Elin F — Google review
* Nice aqua park in terms of attractions. Not bad for my almost 4 year son as there are attractions for very young guests. * not really friendly staff and long time cooking at the only kids restaurant. As they announce you can’t take food with you - quite strange decision having such a service at the restaurant. (Taking ur own meals might be a better choice)
Azamat D — Google review
In just three years this place has been badly damaged by lack of maintenance: moldy walls, the pool smells very strongly of garbage (looks like they didn't take it out of the bar, which is also out of service). All in all it looks really sad :(
Алексей М — Google review
Couple sides with enjoying lifeguards and their whistles. Well overrated and out of date. Not much positives to add. Just ok for kids. Personnel speak very little English and will not be helpful at any time. Poor hygiene Ilin the premises and toilets. Food in the local bistro is a typical fast food but be prepared to wait 20-30minutes for portion of chips in the busy period.
Jarek R — Google review
Arrived early at 1000 as we expected sunbeds to be in high demand, but it was never a problem. Being high on a hill, the umbrellas get blown down quite a lot if windy, which is annoying. Slides are pretty good, although have strict height limits. Make sure your kids are tall enough for the bigger slides (one of ours wasn't, and he was not very happy about it...) Ambience of the place is a bit bland at the moment, lots of concrete and not many trees. Food was ok, cooked to order. Bit expensive overall we thought, which may explain why it was quieter than expected.
Richard L — Google review
A 2-star facility delivers 4-star experience. Aquapark Budva has all the visual appeal of a soviet-era nuclear power station, and a similar regard for health & safety (although the "no handguns" signs will doubtless be reassuring). Perhaps, given the mountainside location and the smattering of greenery (largely the result of neglect), a more apt comparison would be the disguised roof of a super-villain's lair. At any moment the pool might retract, revealing a huge missile destined to kick-start World War III... The best thing about Aquapark Budva is simply how unpopular it is. Anticipating stiff competition for sunbeds and shade, we ordered an early taxi to arrive in time for opening at 11am, but were delayed by traffic. We needn't have worried. By 1pm numbers had swelled to perhaps 50 or 60 spread across the 3 concrete tiers of attractions. Consequently the children had one of the best waterpark experiences anywhere, hardly queuing for anything. Their only complaint was of burning feet - probably due to a combination of roasting-hot concrete tiles and the depleted uranium core buried deep in that missile silo beneath. I would cautiously recommend a visit if its all about the slides for your kids. If you're of a nervous disposition or a stickler for things like "lifeguards" or "maintenance" you might find it a little stressful. Oh, one little tip - prices are advertised for Adults and Children but you will actually pay based on height with all but the very littlest paying full whack. Enjoy. And good luck.
Tim D — Google review
Very nice aquapark although I have seen better in Istria / Croatia. Prices are reasonable and very friendly staff. What I particularly liked was the fact that you are back up at the slides in no time compared to the other aquaparks I have visited. Views from the park are stunning. And yes, I took the fastest slide as well and was a bit broozed for a couple of days 😅

The Church of Sveti Ivan, also known as the Church of St. John, is a remarkable example of Byzantine architecture dating back to the 7th century. It is located within the ancient city walls of Budva and features a landmark bell tower that becomes illuminated at night, creating a captivating sight. The church houses striking glass mosaics and beautiful frescoes, offering visitors a serene atmosphere to embark on a spiritual journey.
Church of Saint John the Baptists is Budva's largest church built around the 12th century serving as a Catholic cathedral until 1828. Parts of it possibly date from as early as the 9th century, and the last earthquake revealed the foundations of an early Christian basilica beside it. A side chapel houses the Madonna of Budva – a 12th-century icon venerated by Catholic and Orthodox Budvans alike.
Kirk B — Google review
Can take pictures freely. The Orthodox Church next door if far more beautiful.
Yee — Google review
Originally built during the 7th Century it served as a Cathedral until 1828 when the Diocese of Budva was abolished. Some reconstruction took place after the earthquake of 1667. The high tower was erected in 1867 and is the dominant feature of the old town. Church houses a very modern looking altar, a mural glass mosaic created in the 1970s.
Miles M — Google review
Beautiful Medieval Church in the centre of Budva old town. Well worth a visit. Free entry.
Tim H — Google review
This is a centuries old basilica with a landmark bell tower illuminated at night. The alter has a striking glass mosaic that is different from frescos commonly seen in similar churches. The church is not ornate but displays a peaceful simplicity and beauty. It is a small church which is worth visiting. The entry is free of charge.

In Budva, the Holy Trinity Church stands as a hidden gem next to the grand cathedral. Despite its unassuming exterior, stepping inside reveals a world of vibrant frescoes adorning the walls and ceilings, a departure from the usual austere interiors of historic churches. This beautiful church in Old Town features striking white and stony rows, constructed after the fall of the Venetian Republic in 1797 with support from local Orthodox Christians who were also skilled engineers and stone cutters.
Nice little church in the center of the old town of Budva. It amazes me that there are shops with "holy" souvenirs in churches in Montenegro.

The Holy Trinity Church in Budva is a beautiful and historic landmark. Its charming architecture, serene atmosphere, and stunning frescoes make it a must-visit. Set in the heart of the Old Town, it’s a peaceful spot with a rich history.
İsidora — Google review
The Holy Trinity Church is a prominent and beautiful building in the Old Town of Budva. It is located near the main square and is a major attraction for visitors. The church stands out for its unique color and details. It has a small central dome and a larger dome above it. The interior of the church is modest but rich in atmosphere. What immediately catches the eye is the magnificent, carved, gilded wooden iconostasis (icon wall) that separates the nave from the altar area. The ceiling is decorated with frescoes, and additional icons hang on the walls.
Lavi S — Google review
Stunning little church in the old town of Budva. Free to go inside. Well worth a visit. Lots of churches in the area, but this is one of the best.
Tim H — Google review
Completed in 1804 this church looks quite plain from the outside, but step inside for a real visual treat. Decorated with magnificent Baroque iconostasis painted by Naum Zetiri. No photos allowed inside but I gave a donation and was given permission by the lady taking care of the church.
Miles M — Google review
The old town of Budva has the Orthodox and Catholic churches almost next to each other. This one is Orthodox. It is a lovely church with beautiful view on the open, wild sea.
Maja Đ — Google review
Absolute must see in Budva. The Icons and Frescos are breathing, very detailed with the biblical stories and portraits of various Saits. The altarpiece is also a magnificent work of art. Photography is prohibited inside
Edgar Z — Google review
The Church of the Holy Trinity is the "youngest" of all the existing temples of Budva. The history of the construction of the church begins at the end of the XVIII century - it was then that the first ideas about its construction appear. In 1797, permission was received by the city authorities from the Montenegrin Vladyka Peter the Great for the realization of this idea. The construction was built thanks to the efforts of Orthodox believers for 6 years - from 1798 to 1804. Only downside is the gift shop inside and the seeming need for money.

Budva Citadel, an ancient fortress overlooking the Adriatic Sea, offers stunning panoramic views and a glimpse into Budva's rich history. The city's allure extends to Sveti Stefan, a luxurious islet connected to the mainland by a charming causeway. As you explore Njegoseva street, you'll encounter significant landmarks like the Church of Saint Maria and the Church of Saint Ivan.
Definitely worth a visit! The view is stunning, and below there is a restaurant and a ship exhibition. There are also two libraries to explore. Well worth both the visit and the €4.50 entrance fee.
El B — Google review
For sure this place does give you a good view of the old town, better than the city walls which are not really high enough. The entry fee is €5.50 and it's advertised as including a library & museum. But to call it a museum is some stretch of the imagination; it's a very small room with a few wooden models of sailing ships.
Miles M — Google review
Overpriced €5.50 for 5 mins visit. Only the panorama view from the top is good. Ship museum is just a tiny room of random ship models. Library is just a room with books in glass showcase, it's not library: untouchable & unreadable. I think the €5.50 fee to enter this Citadel isn't justifiable, overpriced, and more of a tourist trap.
Kris P — Google review
Impressive building and stone walls. Location is obviously as expected considering the character of the building. Cobbled streets all around the Budva Old Town with some really narrow alleys where only 2 people can pass at the most. Good choice of souvenir shops around and many pizza 🍕 and coffee ☕️ places to stop by with generous sitting areas. An amphitheatre is located right next to the citadel.
Stefan S — Google review
The Budva Citadel is a really beautiful place with amazing views of the Old Town and the sea. It has a peaceful, romantic vibe that makes it perfect for a relaxing break. The restaurant inside is great – tasty food, good coffee, and chill music that adds to the nice atmosphere. One of the best parts is sitting in the shade under the wisteria, feeling the sea breeze and enjoying a cold drink. It’s a perfect spot to unwind and escape the heat for a while. Whether you're into history or just want to relax with a view, the Citadel is definitely worth a visit.
G. D — Google review
The €5.50 entrance fee feels quite high considering what’s inside. The views of Budva and St. Nikola Island are beautiful, but beyond that, there’s just a small "museum" room with a few ship models and a library with books behind glass and a couple of sofas. Everything can be done in 10 minutes. It’s a charming spot, but there isn’t much to see or discover.

Very interesting place if you are interested in knowing a little bit more about Budva and Montenegro’s history. The library is amazing (comfiest armchairs ever! Xd) and the views are BREATHTAKING. Don’t get scammed in the restaurant tho, it’s not worth it!!!

We stayed 5 nights at Budva and enjoyed the view of Budva Citadel. It’s a real interesting place to visit as you walk around the stones streets as in the old medieval times or movies ) The view is amazing by the way. The entrance fee is 16EUros though, quite expensive.

The Budva Riviera is a stunning destination that offers a mix of natural beauty and vibrant entertainment. The Sea Dance Festival at Buljarica beach is a major highlight, featuring performances by renowned artists like David Guetta, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Robin Schulz, and Offenbach.
Nice area, with the old town, but also lots of high rise new luxury apartments and hotels. A few nice beaches. Parking is difficult near the beach as dominated by private hotels.
Tim H — Google review
I wouldn't describe the beach as particularly beautiful, the sand is quite coarse and it gets very busy. However there are plenty of facilities along the Riviera, restaurants, showers, and a variety of private zones with sun loungers ranging in comfort and price from €15 to a staggering €40. But the most expensive ones are like comfy beds with thick back adjustable mattresses. There are several public (free) zones, easy to identify because people bring their own beach mats and parasols.

A beautiful place for holidays and relaxation. Good availability of services and clean sea.

Budva riviera is amazing. It’s a happening coastline. We enjoyed it more than Kotor . During nighttime it’s even more happening with cultural shows , lights and amazing food

Nice beach but surrounding area is a mess. Huge construction works with a lot of noise and dirt. Nice parks and houses but styles are mixed and cleanliness is not always there.

The beach alone is nothing spectacular but the vibe is so authentic; the food at the local restaurants - phenomenal; the prices are not too bad off the season! Definitely one of my favorite spots in Europe

Budva was nice and beautiful, especially the Old Town Budva, which was stunning! 😍 The place that we were amazed by is the Hawaii beach that you have to take a boat for, which is 3€. Hawaii beach was not that crowded and we loved staying there. However, a couple of things we did not like, that might interest you, are here: ▫️First, the parking hunting lasted for half an hour, everything is full and you'll be lucky if you find it quickly. ▫️Second, if you are among those people who do not like super crowded beaches, then Budva is definitely not a place for you. ▫️Mogren Beach is super crowded.

The City Walls of Budva are a captivating and unique feature that adds to the town's charm. These historic walls, dating back to the Middle Ages under Venetian rule, encircle the Old Town and serve as a remarkable defense system. Walking along this path offers stunning views of the sea and an immersive experience in history, making it a must-visit for all travelers.
Really enjoyed this experience. Quite a hike and a reasonable fitness level required. The views are amazing and finally reaching the top feels amazing. I would imagine that if it was raining, then the surfaces would be very slippery as the stones are worn smooth with age. Certainly a sturdy pair of walking shoes are required. There were two water/beverage sellers half way up and at the peak, selling cold drinks and very reasonably priced. The only improvement i can suggest is a little more signals or some arrows as a few people weren't sure of the correct direction. I did also find the ticketing guys to be quite surly, a smile would have been nice. Overall. Its a great experience and I definitely recommend it to everyone.
Annette B — Google review
Pretty nice walk. Pay attention, unlike Dubrovnik where the walk on the walls is circular, here you can walk to a dead end and then go back the way you came. The entry point is on the plateau in front of the Citadel, at the end near the sea.
Paul C — Google review
For sure this may not be as magnificent as the city walls walk in Dubrovnik, but at an entry fee of just €2 compared to €40 at Dubrovnik it's totally worth it. Note that the route covers three sides (three quarters) of the old town perimeter; reaching a dead end you return the same way. Some nice views out to sea and into the old town at several points, however you are not really elevated enough to get a birds eye view of the old town unlike Dubrovnik.
Miles M — Google review
One of the main sites of the Old Town of Budva are the 820 meter long city walls. The walls were built by the Venetians, who ruled the city from 1420 to 1797, to resist the Ottoman threat. Just northeast of the citadel is the entry point for the city walls, from this entrance approximately three quarters of the walls are accessible. A nice walk!
Koen — Google review
This is amazing- totally worth the wet walk around the walls. Free. Good views. Way better than visiting the citadel
Yee — Google review
A walk around this place costs only 2 euros and is worth the money. You can see the city from all sides and even from above!
Аліна А — Google review
Use map to find the entrance is at #14: near the Citadel (#15). There are no signs so: when you will get to the Citadel - face the sea (so the Citadel will be on your right), look to your left to find small gate (where you need to pay 2 EU pretty adult, kids are free).

Casper Bar is a charming jazz club and bar located in the Old Town, opposite the Archaeological Museum. During the day, visitors can enjoy delicious coffee on the terrace shaded by trees, while in the evening, small groups gather for craft beer and great music. The menu offers appetisers, cocktails, beers, wines, local spirit rakija, as well as coffee and fresh juices.
Love this place! Good, vibrant - there’s always people but that’s because it’s a great place. We’ve always managed to get a table here though. From cocktails I suggest you try brumble cream - good, a little bit sweet but sour also - very great mix. Botanical spritz is also nice - fresh and summery. I truly recommend this place when visiting Budva.
Kristin K — Google review
Came to Casper one evening for drinks and visited again the following morning for breakfast and coffee, and have only positive things to say. Starting with the bar, it is a lovely place to have a drink, chat, listen to music and meet new people. There is a lovely atmosphere about the place, one that really made me forget life outside of the walls of the old town. The drinks were delicious and the music accompanying it was equally entertaining. In the morning, we returned for a croissant and some coffee, and both were exceptional. Can safely say Casper provided me with one of the best coffee’s and croissants I’ve had in my life! It’s a must visit spot if you’re in Budva and want a drink in the day or the night!🤠

A very charming spot in the old town, where we came back several times during the week. They serve excellent coffee, great local wines, and tasty snacks, with really good music playing in the background. The waitress was attentive and cheerful, which made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy place to relax.

We stumbled upon this very charming coffee roastery in the old town just after visiting the Citadel. Instead of coffee, we ended up having drinks from the very comprehensive menu. The service was really nice too. We need a second round and/or a new visit 😄 The prices were really affordable, especially considering the location within the old town.

This is the best coffee in Montenegro! It’s 100% Arabica — not an over-roasted, bitter drink, but truly tasty, smooth, and well-balanced. If you know your coffee and want to enjoy a proper cup, this is the place for you.

Specialty Museums
The Museum of the City of Budva is a four-story museum showcasing collections from the 5th century BC to the present day, including artifacts from Byzantine, Roman, and later eras. The exhibits feature items such as Hellenistic artifacts, glass burial urns, and ancient stone plates with inscriptions. The museum also houses the symbol of the city - two connected fish representing Marko and Elena in love.
The Budva City Museum in the old quarter of Budva, Montenegro, showcases archaeological and ethnographic artifacts on four floors. An early 5th century BC Illyrian-Greek helmet in the museum has paragnathids on either side of the helmet to protect the face and neck of the wearer. A Roman mosaic at the museum depicts a sea creature.
David S — Google review
Visiting the museum in the Old Town of Budva offers a few interesting moments, but overall, the experience is rather modest. Inside, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Budva, which is probably the most attractive part of the visit. The library is rich, with a solid collection of books, but other than that, there aren’t many significant exhibits in the museum. There are a few items that are interesting, but not impressive enough to justify the visit. Outside the museum, you can see the remains of an old church, but again, not enough to make the experience special. The entrance fee was 5€.
Eldar M — Google review
Plenty of artifacts to see here spread across four floors. But I downgraded by one star because of the grumpy woman at reception who wouldn't accept any 10 or 20 cent coins when paying the €3 entry fee. Exhibits are arranged by chronological period eg. Hellenistic period 3rd to 2nd Century BC, Roman period 1st to 3rd Century AD etc. Items include ceramics, glassware, jewellery, weapons etc. The top floor showcases Ethnographic urban life during 16th to 19th Century.
Miles M — Google review
V very small three story building containing archeological findings from the city and surrounding area, as well as several pieces from the more recent past. Make sure you have a mobile data connection before you go in, there are three VR stations inside the museum. For only 3€ per ticket you can't go wrong here.

Nice small museum, to see everything you need max 20 minutes. For a 3€ entrance fee, it was worth it.

Citadela Restaurant is located within the walls of the Citadel-fortress of St. Mary in the Old Town of Budva, Montenegro. The fifteenth-century citadel offers stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and has served as a royal residence in the past. Visitors can enjoy splendid service, food, and wine at affordable prices while taking in the historical ambiance. For those seeking even better views, there are two entrances to the Old City wall nearby that are relatively unknown to tourists.
We initially thought this might be super touristy but we went at sunset and had the most wonderful meal. Our server Aleksa was absolutely fantastic, and sitting out watching the colors change over the water at sunset was magical. It was worth the price and the food and wine were excellent! We stayed a while and had a long, relaxing meal.
Sarah Z — Google review
A beautiful spot to watch the sunset. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, our meal started with frozen carpaccio, but after mentioning it to the waiter, we received a new one and it was delicious. Sadly, since it was after the high season, about half of the menu items were unavailable. For the main course, we had steak, which was excellent. The prices are a bit on the high side, but it’s really about the location here. Definitely worth visiting, even just for a drink.
Joanna ( — Google review
This was an amazing experience. Beautiful view made our night romantic and wonderful. The night was also brightened up by our waiter Danilo who was knowledgeable and kind. I hope everyone gets served by him. The portions were very nice as well and food was of very great quality. We will definitely be back.
Nezgol T — Google review
This is the most amazing place and restaurant in Budva. Been visiting every summer and it’s only getting better, the food the music and the stunning views are unmatched. Special thanks to Danilo for being an excellent host and for the great wine and dessert recommendations. You have to try he fish too 😇
Dobrin D — Google review
We ordered several meals however lamb shank served called. It was very cold even cutting was hard. So all experience changed into negative way. They served another plate instead of cold one. Until that arrives we were full. Also instead of removing it from the bill they served us extra desserts which makes us more full than ever. Good view though. Reservation is essential.
Ece O — Google review
While this place requires a booking, I honestly wouldn’t rush here at all. We came with high expectations, but the experience left us completely disappointed. The biggest letdown was the pasta dish, which on the menu claimed to feature vongole and lobster meat. As you can see from the photos, what we received was clearly surimi—commonly known as crab sticks—a processed fish paste product with zero lobster in sight. Not only did it taste artificial, but it had texture of a spungy cube. We politely inquired about the "lobster," hoping the chef would be honest and perhaps explain a substitution. Instead, he had the audacity to claim it was Cuban lobster. Well, it was cubed, alright—as in cubed crabstick. For the premium price they’re charging, this kind of deception is frankly unacceptable. We eat lobster often and we have different variety of lobsters. This was NOT lobster. The beef carpaccio was fresh, but completely under-seasoned and crying out for olive oil. They brought some over—stored in a clear glass bottle, sitting in the sun all day—and of course, it was rancid. To be fair, our server Alexa was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and did everything right. The Albariño was also lovely, and the complimentary amuse bouche of local sea bass pâté and olive tapenade was a nice touch. But none of this justifies the main act falling so flat. If you’re after a beautiful view, top-notch food, and outstanding atmosphere, do yourself a favour and go to Vista Vidikovac instead. This place? Sadly, it’s just a letdown. Atmosphere was bad- big loud table in the middle, we know you can't help it but they also had horrible singer who was killing the mood and every song. At the start they played some music- should have stuck with it. But then again it was an overall, a bad act.
Tat J — Google review
Words can’t describe the experience at this establishment. First of all, the view is extraordinary especially at sunset. Our server Miloš was so kind and attentive… he made a wonderful wine recommendation as well as food. The food was wonderful and fresh! Highly recommend the oyster app! Last night in Budva came to end with this perfect meal and atmosphere. Much love to everyone here especially Miloš.
Esra U — Google review
Quiet and calm atmosphere accompanied by appropriate live music and a view, Citadela did not disappoint. Famously known for their attractive location, the restaurant overlooks a 180 view of both the sea and bay at the very edge of Old Town in Budva. With limited seating and a very secluded entrance, we felt utmost comfort. Both the service and food matched the high standard set by the atmosphere alone perfectly. A huge part of our enjoyable experience was in debt to Luka, our waiter, who explained the menu extensively and recommended the Octopus salad, Burrata salad, and Sea Bass alongside a house wine that paired perfectly. Overall a wonderful experience that highlighted our trip.

Watch out for the bouncers!!! They are real criminals!! Don't ever go there as a tourist! My girlfriend wasn't allowed to go outside. They tried to harras her! They are actively trying to sepperate her from the rest of the group. Also anatier girl was drugged in fromt of our eyes and when it goes bad, they carried her out to an ambulance! We SAW the security guys gave her pils and 20 minutes later they carried her out. It's the biggest maffia club in Montenegro. Never ever go there! Hope the police will raid these criminal security guys, but probably are in their pocket to... All of this becouse they tried to scam us into a (very expensive) table we didn't want. But ordered for 100€ drinks
Kris B — Google review
If you want to get SCAMMED, visit Top Hill. If not, AVOID this horrible place. I really wish I had read these reviews before visiting—then I could have avoided this scam. So, I hope this review can help a few fellow foreign tourists. We arrived in a good mood—four of us in total. One person in our group has parents from the Balkans, so he could speak the language. The rest of us were from other countries. He had been to this club a few years ago, but that time he went with a group of Balkan friends. They had a good time and were not treated the way we were treated this time. First, you need to pay €5 to get in with a car. Second, there’s an entrance fee of €25. That should be enough, right? Nope. If you’re a tourist, they will “force” you to pay for a table— €200. We didn’t want to do that because we only wanted a few drinks. They then told us we could stay at the bar if we paid €20. Absurd. We refused. We got one drink each and went to a table far, far in the back—away from the crowd, literally with no one around us. Despite that, the staff managing the section chased us away and told us to go to another table. Where? They wouldn’t say. You need to pay to get that kind of help. Horrible service. This really ruined my mood. So I asked people nearby if they had paid for their tables, and I also told them how we were treated. They laughed and said, “You get treated like that because you’re foreigners.” They had only paid for their drinks—nothing extra for their table. Apparently, this is common behavior here. Great job, Top Hill—you really don’t know how to treat your foreign customers. I would recommend this place to absolutely no foreigners or tourists. Thanks for robbing me and my friends.
Dahat R — Google review
Honestly the worst nightclub experience I’ve ever had. The lights and music is cool and all, but the service is terrible and the bartenders/workers are sexist. They were rude, disrespectful, and unwelcoming if you don’t buy or reserve a table, which costs €250. If you want to just come to watch whoever is performing or just enjoy the music, the workers act like you don’t deserve to be there.
Milan J — Google review
If I could give zero stars I would. I as a women felt so unsafe. My bag was stolen, I guess by security. Because when I saw security with my bag I told them what happened. They said I could buy it back with “big tip” I thought it was a language barrier, but after reading the reviews… This man just stole my bag?! What do you want from me? Wear my lipgloss?
Sophia S — Google review
Don’t go if you are a tourist, they lead you to a table you and ask to buy 300 euro bottle, if not you have to go to the bar and you cannot have a table. There is no place to dance it’s only full of tables. We got thrown out at the end for not spending enough money. Avoid this place.
Rainers E — Google review
People lie, says 5.50 for beer, ask for beer, says 10 euros, complete scam for people not from Montenegro. Entry cost 25 eur, says at the table, where the most dancing happens, have to spend 300 eur or stay at the bar, which is at the back. Dont come unless you want to throw away money for unrespectful people.

It spans 150 meters in length and approximately 25 meters in width, offering easy accessibility by various means of transportation. Visitors can find public paid parking lots nearby for convenience. The beach features a tiny cove behind the Old Town's city wall, providing a unique swimming experience amidst swarms of tiny fish.

Whereas I don’t like to go to this beach in the summer to swim and sunbathe, it is such a stunning location to admire the architecture of the old town, Saint Nikola island, and the gorgeous water. The scenery is breathtaking, making it an ideal spot to sit back, enjoy a cup of coffee, and soak in the sun. It’s a great place to take in the beauty of Budva, even if the beach itself gets too crowded in peak season. Beautiful views and a perfect atmosphere for relaxation.

I’m sure this is a beautiful beach years ago, but now it is harder to appreciate the beauty with all the restaurants & hotels that have spoiled it with the beach being covered and overcrowded with paid chairs & umbrellas. It’s a pebble beach. The water is stunning though, very clear and the perfect temperature in July!

The beach is simply wow. If you like snorkeling, then this is the place to be!!! I saw thousands of fishes and even an Octopus. For that, i did not even need to go deep in the water. Its slippery at first, you need shoes. The water is pretty clean, the beach is small and gets filled up fast. The view is amazing! We sat in the nearby restaurant for drinks as it was quite sunny. We had quite a fun day:)

Nice beach with a view on the old town. Unfortunately ruined by some ugly hotels. I went for a swim early in the morning when it was completely empty, then one of the hotel staff came telling me to leave because it’s a private beach. Firstly there was no sign indicating it, secondly this is the mentality Montenegro became my least favorite country on the Balkans. I had the unique opportunity to explore the Ruins of the Roman-era Necropolis, an extraordinary glimpse into the ancient past of this beautiful Adriatic town. 🏛️ A Walk Through Time Walking among these ruins, I felt like I was stepping back into Roman times. The necropolis, an ancient burial site, reveals the layers of history beneath Budva’s modern charm. The well-preserved stone tombs and fragments of ancient structures speak volumes about the people who lived here centuries ago. 🔍 Archaeological Richness What fascinated me most was how much history is still visible in the stones — intricate carvings, remnants of burial chambers, and artifacts hinting at long-lost customs and rituals. It’s clear that this was a significant site for the Romans, and the necropolis stands as a solemn testament to their presence. 🌿 Serene and Reflective Setting Despite being ruins, the site holds a peaceful atmosphere. Surrounded by gentle greenery and with panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea nearby, it’s a place for quiet reflection, connecting with history in a deeply personal way. 📚 Insightful Visit Visiting the Roman necropolis not only enriched my understanding of Budva’s deep historical roots but also gave me a new appreciation for how the past shapes the present. For history enthusiasts or anyone curious about ancient civilizations, this site is a true treasure.

I am very unhappy with the very bad organisation of the event: 1-they put posts on the walls of the old town with no mention of the year of the event (joint pic for the event missed) 2-they put a message to contact Tatyana on telegram whereas nobody can contact her if the doesn’t have his/her contacts (!) (joint pic as proof of telegram unable to contact her) 3-an English speaking local had me explain the situation (asking to know if the event is happening on 2023) called Tatyana on the 27th of august 2023 and Tatyana said she was new and that she didn’t know about the concert. She asked us to call her again in order for us to get the right information. So then we called her and she told us that the event was postponed to the 29th of august 2023! We went on the 29th to attend the Yiddish music event and you know what? We attended a classical/opera show so not the one I asked about. Well I’m met with many disorganised people but this is a level I’ve never seen before in 40 countries I’ve visited even though all explanations have been obtained in the local language. It is a cute and cozy place with narrow cobblestone streets and plenty of character. There are lots of little authentic shops to explore, from handmade crafts to local souvenirs. You will also find plenty of great spots to eat or grab a drink, whether you are in the mood for seafood, pizza, or just a coffee with a view. A lovely place to wander and soak up the atmosphere!

Beautiful old medieval walled town on the sea. Really nice to walk around and lots to do. Quite touristic, but still very enjoyable. Lots of cafes, restaurants, shops, churches.

What a gem! Must visit when in Budva! Huge selection of food and drink. Very good hospitality. You won't get bored while waiting as there's so many interesting things to see surrounded by the tables. Portion are huge even for those with large appetite . Highly recommended 👌

Beautiful old town with charming narrow alleys, historic stone buildings, and a relaxed seaside atmosphere. Perfect for a slow walk, photography, and discovering small cafes and local shops. The views from the fortress walls are stunning, especially at sunset. Gets crowded during peak season, but still worth the visit.

Another beautiful ancient town on coastal area of montenegro. Lots of narrow streets. Can go into citadel area with good views of old town. A number of ornate churches and other buildings nearby. Its a good 15 minutes walk from main bus station to old town. Has a nice harbour adjacent to old town with a number of large boats. Well worth a visit to this place.

Experience the thrill of soaring through the skies with Budva Paragliding in Montenegro. This adventure offers breathtaking views of canyons, plains, lakes, and bays from up to 1200 meters above sea level. The well-instructed flight ensures a safe and exhilarating experience, with high-resolution photos and videos included in the package. The experienced pilots provide thorough instructions for takeoff and ensure a memorable journey.
Fantastic experience! The team was quick, efficient, and inspired confidence. My almost 10 year old boy loved every minute of his 20-minute flight. Highly recommend this activity if you are visiting Budva. The team picked us up at our hotel in Budva at noon & delivered us back to it after our flight just after 1pm.
T. S — Google review
Hands down the coolest thing I did in Montenegro! This was my first time paragliding and I was half-excited, half-nervous — but my pilot was a total pro and made me feel instantly safe and relaxed. The flight itself? Unreal. Floating over Budva with the Adriatic stretching out in every direction felt like being inside a postcard, only way more alive. If you’re debating whether to try this — stop. Just do it. Seeing Budva from the ground is nice, but seeing it from the sky? Next level. Highly recommend Paragliding Montenegro — friendly people, safe setup, and an experience you’ll never forget.

Unforgettable Paragliding Experience! Still can’t get over my paragliding adventure! So peaceful yet so thrilling — flying over the mountains with that view was unreal. Huge thanks to the team for making it safe and unforgettable! 🪂✨
Omkar Y — Google review
Really bad experience. The car ride to the take-off was super uncomfortable, the driver was driving fast with one hand while checking his phone. Felt really unsafe. At the take-off spot, the wind was too strong, and even the instructors said it wasn’t safe at first. But after waiting a bit, they just lost patience and went for it anyway — no running, nothing, just got yanked into the air by the wind. My friend literally flew above two clouds — it looked crazy dangerous. To top it off, they messed up the GoPro and didn’t record her flight at all, which was honestly the main reason we booked this. Unprofessional, unsafe, and just not worth the stress. So for my friend the experience was -10 stars, for me 3/5

What an excellent experience, would highly recommend. Done with my teenage daughter and nephew, we all loved it! Communication with the company was quick and efficient. The views are incredible when up in the air, if you are thinking about doing this then don’t hesitate!

Top : crew, equipment, views! The whole crew is amazing, nice introduction, very professional, they would not take the risk if it is not safe. Really good time and the views are stunning. Would do it again any time. Contact with the centre was easy, all agreed in advance via Whatsapp. Thank you !
Home H — Google review
I booked over WhatsApp and was picked up at the agreed time by car from outside my hotel. We were driven up to the mountain take-off point and given safety instructions. There was me, the wife and our daughter aged 12. My wife was very nervous and almost backed out but the instructors were really good and put her at ease. They were experienced, spoke good English and were reassuring. We had a decent length flight, firstly gliding above the mountain area before flying down to the beach. I was asked if i wanted to do some acrobatics which of course I did and it was fantastic. We had a safe landing on the beach and made payment after that. All in all, 10/10, worth every penny

Had a great paragliding experience! The person I flew tandem with was very experienced, which made the whole journey feel smooth and safe from start to finish. Everything was really well organized. It was very convenient that they offered hotel pick-up and drop-off, and communication over WhatsApp was quick and easy. Would highly recommend to anyone considering paragliding!

The Dancing Girl Statue in Budva is a bronze sculpture located between the old town and Mogren Beach. It's a symbol of the city, inspired by a local legend about a girl who waited for her sailor lover to return but tragically died on the same rocks where her statue now stands. Some believe it depicts a drowned girl, while others see it as an ordinary statue. The elegant pose of the topless girl has become iconic, with many visitors attempting to imitate it for photos.
The walk to Mogren Beach is incredibly romantic, with a path winding between cliffs and the sea. The monument along the way perfectly complements the experience, making it even more memorable.

We learnt about legends connected to Ballerina monument through walking tour. It is a beautiful symbol of the city, however gets crazy crowded all the time.

Absolutely gorgeous a must visit if you are in Budva. It is so captivating and if you are lucky you can also capture the sun or the moon in the photos as well.

One of the few places you can visit in Budva. Super close to Old Town and the way towards it offers great views of the see with outer Basilica walls. If you’d like some extra pictures, can go. But don’t get too upset if you didn’t get to chance to see it.
Tugce T — Google review
Beautiful little sculpture with a gread backdrop scenery of Budva old town. You can actually walk across the rocks behind railings and go up to it.
Tim H — Google review
What a sight to behold! It’s gorgeous during a clear day and magical during the sunset. You cannot miss this if you’re in Budva. Just a couple of minutes of walk from the old town towards the ‘secret Mogren beach’. You have to be patient with crowds leaning over the railings or even getting on the rocks (which is indeed risky) for pictures. Take your time and appreciate the beauty. Please do not litter.
Anna D — Google review
Was a great bronze statue, relative easy to find too and not far from the main gate of the old town of Budva. One thing that was not mention is you can only take picture of the statue from the direct front, as that would mean you would be in the sea water. Also that it can be crowded on the woodenpath as people stop by to take their photo of this statue.
Ryuu A — Google review
Beautiful Budva ballerina. it’s a local symbol with a perfect photo view of the city walls. After that you can take a bath on the beach near by, just keep walking thru the path.

Nestled in Budva, the Dukley Hotel & Resort is a luxurious five-star retreat surrounded by lush gardens and offering stunning sea views. This sophisticated resort provides chic apartments, private beaches, and a fitness center for guests to enjoy. The meticulously designed sanctuary seamlessly blends contemporary comforts with historic charm. Guests can indulge in spa treatments, relax at the seasonal outdoor pool, or rent bicycles for leisurely exploration.
What an amazing destination and absolutely flawless service. You are greater at the gate with a warm smile and a golf cart ready to take you to reception. There the wonderful staff including Tanja and Laura attended to every whim we had. There was nothing they would not do. The beach was amazing and the staff there took care of all our needs. The villa had a breathtaking view of the Adriatic and the two bedroom villa we had was stocked with everything we would ever need This is an amazing destination and the people of Montenegro will warm your heart.
Igor G — Google review
Dukley Hotel & Resort Beautiful location, spacious and comfortable rooms — that’s where the positives end. Service is very poor. Upon arrival, you may be left at the lower gate, and no one will tell you or guide you to the reception — you’ll have to ask around yourself. Breakfast is another story: limited selection, terrible service, orders constantly forgotten, no one offers you a table, and they often bring the wrong items. Seating is limited, so you have to wait. Beaches must be booked in advance (which no one warns you about), otherwise you won’t get in. Beach service is extremely slow — up to 40 minutes for drinks or food. Restaurants are the same: slow service, frequent billing mistakes, and overcharging. If you order steak or fish priced per 100g, you might get 250g on your plate but be charged for 500g. Prices are at the level of the world’s best resorts, but the service quality is low. Value for money: 2/10.

I stayed at Dukley Hotel in Montenegro and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The location is stunning — right on the Adriatic coast, with private beaches and breathtaking sea views from the rooms. The suites are spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The service was exceptional: the staff were always attentive and genuinely welcoming. The hotel has several excellent restaurants with both local and international cuisine, and the breakfast was outstanding. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere combined with high-level luxury. This is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday, and I would love to come back again.
Ernesto G — Google review
We had a group staying at the hotel for four days, and both we and our guests absolutely enjoyed the stay. The hotel team were incredible hosts, meeting all of our numerous requests with great professionalism and kindness. Our guests had only words of praise for the entire experience. A special thanks to the wonderful staff, especially Milica and Aleksandra, for their outstanding support and hospitality. We can’t wait to organize our next project at this hotel! 🌟
Goran K — Google review
Overall, everything was top-notch. The beach was beautiful and convenient, perfect for relaxing, although it was a bit dirty in some areas. The service at the hotel was good; most staff members were friendly and attentive. I especially want to highlight concierge Lilia — her kindness and hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable. She was always ready to help with any questions and created a feeling of care. Regarding some aspects, the prices at the on-site restaurants were quite high, and the towels in the rooms had small stains. It would be convenient if insect screens were installed on the windows — without them, it was very uncomfortable, especially in the evening. Also, some staff members seemed a bit rude and unfriendly, which slightly dampened the overall impression. The staff at the infinity pool tried to be attentive, and I also want to thank Georgiy, the waiter, for his friendliness and courtesy. Overall, we had a great stay, and I would love to come back here again!

We had our wedding at the resort and we couldn’t be happier! ❤️ Everything went perfectly from start to finish – the arrangements were smooth, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was simply magical. Our guests were impressed by both the beautiful setting and the delicious food, and we were left with unforgettable memories of our special day. We especially appreciated how even the smallest details were taken care of, allowing us to just relax and enjoy every moment. This is truly the perfect place to host such an important celebration, knowing everything is in good hands. We wholeheartedly recommend this resort – and we can’t wait to come back for future occasions.

Dukley is a dream! Truly, there is nowhere better to stay or get married! From the very beginning, Milica and the entire Dukley team made us feel like they genuinely cared, and every single step of the planning process was handled with patience, kindness, and generosity. Nothing was ever too much, no challenge too big, and every request was treated with flexibility and respect. Even when we threw curveballs, they always handled them graciously and with a smile. You are in the very best hands with Milica and her team. On the wedding day itself, they gave us the greatest gift of all – the best day of our lives. Every detail was tailored to perfection, far beyond what we could have imagined. We went in with high expectations, yet Dukley still managed to exceed them in ways we did not believe were possible. Everything was flawless, and our guests felt the same – both Dukley Hotel and Harmonia treated everyone with warmth and kindness, leaving every single person blown away by the level of care and attention. A special shout-out must go to Jefto V, who was incredible throughout, and to EVERY single member of staff across the hotels. Their customer service is second to none – genuinely best in class. What touched us most was that the entire team seemed joyful about our marriage, and they made us feel truly special not only during the wedding weekend itself, but throughout the entire year of planning. This is a very special hotel and resort with exceptional staff who are simply unparalleled in their service delivery. We have travelled all over Montenegro and stayed in many beautiful places, but nowhere compares to Dukley. The service is on another level, and the entire experience feels incredibly special from start to finish. If you are considering a wedding here and are unsure, let me save you the time – just do it. Nothing will ever beat it! All that is left to say is wow – I cannot even explain in words properly, we are still speechless post our wedding. Every one of our family and friends is so beyond happy and excited. They loved every moment and were treated so well. It really was a dream. Thank you, thank you, thank you! We will never be able to fully express the gratitude we feel towards Milica, Aleksandra, and the Dukley family. You created something beyond our wildest dreams, and we will cherish it forever. Dukley feels like home, and we will definitely be back all the time ❤️

Really the best free beach in the city. Located in a good location near the old town. The beach is small; there is an abandoned restaurant next to it, and you can sleep in the shade. You only need to bring a blanket to be comfortable. Great view of the sea and the island. There is a changing cabin. Attention: there is no toilet here! Everyone have a great rest and a good tan.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A Hidden Gem in Budva, Montenegro During my May visit to Budva, I had the pleasure of discovering Pizana Beach, a beautiful and tranquil spot that felt like a true hidden gem along the Adriatic coast. 🌊 Peaceful and Picturesque Pizana Beach offers a perfect escape from the busier, more crowded beaches in the area. The clear turquoise waters gently lap against the smooth pebbles, creating a calming atmosphere ideal for relaxation and unwinding. The beach is surrounded by lush greenery and rocky outcrops, giving it a secluded and natural feel. 🌞 Perfect for a Quiet Day In May, the weather was wonderfully mild and sunny—perfect for lounging on the beach or taking a refreshing swim. The peaceful vibe made it easy to disconnect from the hustle and bustle and simply enjoy the soothing sounds of the sea. 🏖️ Facilities and Accessibility Though Pizana Beach is more low-key and less commercialized than other Budva beaches, it has some basic amenities nearby, including small cafes and sunbed rentals, which make the visit comfortable without overwhelming the natural charm. 📸 Ideal for Nature Lovers and Photographers I loved capturing the stunning contrast of the deep blue sea against the green backdrop and the rocky coastline. It’s a great spot for nature lovers and anyone wanting to enjoy the Adriatic’s beauty in a more intimate setting.

Stumbled upon this delightful little secluded beach area. Not as over crowded as the others beaches. Bit stony but the same clear water. Feels like a more local spot. Would recommend going if you prefer quiet areas.

The cleanest and clearest water I have seen in Budva. The gravel beach is covered with pebbles but is very pleasant when there isn't much of a crowd. It is quite small but the size adds a bit to its charm. There is a lifeguard and showers nearby and barely no noise.

It is a public beach you can enter without payment. Nice views like anywhere in Budva I would say. The water is clean. in general, it's very crowded. There are bigger stones on the beach here than in other places in Budva.

The menu features a variety of national dishes such as meat and fish specialties, rich soups, shopska salad, roasted peppers, Njeguski cheese, and kajmak.
My host in the Old Town informed me of this place. A 2km walk but worth it for great authentic Montenegran cuisine at reasonable prices. Much cheaper than the touristy area in and around the old town. Loved the cheese stuffed meat roll wrapped in bacon and roasted; very filling.

Excellent, fresh and affordable dishes (half of what the Touristic restaurants in the city centre and on the promenade ask for!) As usual a 15% tax is added to the food and 21% to the drinks. The atmosphere of true city life and locals is charmingly observed from the terrace. The service is friendly and we spent 70 euros on four people including drinks and starters.

WOW, we were recommended to come to this restaurant by a waiter in another establishment that we visited and what an absolute gem. We ordered the rolled kebabs, Cevapi, stuffed chicken white fillet, grilled mushrooms served on rice, beef soup & pork knuckle. Every dish was cooked to perfection. Definitely a place to visit if you want local cuisine. The waiters were very hospitable with knowledge of each dish. Don’t miss this one!!

Good restaurant. A huge advantage is large portions. I ordered grilled mushrooms, the portion came with rice. Very tasty! It is worth trying the traditional Montenegrin pancakes (palačinke) with different fillings (I ordered with wildberries and ice cream). Delicious! The waiters know English well. The only thing is that if it is very hot, the fans do not save from the heat.

Monastery Rustovo, founded in 2003, is home to a church dating back to the 14th century. Visitors are greeted by nuns who offer guided tours and share the monastery's history. The territory houses two miraculous icons, one of which is believed to aid those struggling with infertility. Before entering, visitors ring a bell at the entrance and are accompanied by a sister throughout their visit.
We visited the monastery, a place where you will feel at peace since the arrival. The view from the top over the coast is stunning. We received a friendly welcome.from the nun and gave us a tour of the monastery, telling us the history of the churches, and the miraculous icones in it. Nice clay articles and homemade cosmetic products available to support the community at very reasonable price. We enjoyed a rest in the garden and the nuns offered us refreshments and nice sweets with cherries ("cookies"). We highly recommend to visit!

Wow really cool place, remember to dress modestly, over the knees trousers for men and at least short sleeve not tank top, views from outside where very nice and the group of nuns where very welcoming and made some good coffee (€1) they showed us around the monastery and left us in peace to pray for a minute if you wanted to. They bring good luck to people who struggle with having a baby 😉. Road was a bit narrow and windy but ok. Nice gift shop for the women too although did grab their chocolate, coffee mix which is tasty.

I drive all the way to the top of the hill, only to find out their Monastery is closed. The front plate on the door clearly says it is supposed to open 6am to 7pm everyday. The owner/barista is known for being kind and knowledgeable, providing a menu full of delicious hot or cold drinks.
Laid back coffee shop with chilled music and very good selection of hot and iced coffees as well as alcoholic drinks on offer. They come in small, and a decent medium and large sizes which is rare to find. We ordered 2 mochas that were pretty good with exceptional foam art patter work.

Super friendly small cafe with two tables outside and more inside. I had a medium size cappuccino to take away for €3, which tasted perfect. They also have non dairy options: almond, coconut and oat milk. Highly recommend a visit. You have to pay cash though.

A little cozy cafe in the old town of Budva. Barista was attentive with amazing latte arts. Coffee tasted bold & rich. Cats were happily enjoying their afternoon naps. Meows~

A beautiful little cafe in the Old Town of Budva. The atmosphere is great, the music a great selection, and the coffee is top-class. The coffee art on the cappuccinos is fantastic! Also, the cat-related decor is very cool (not to mention the relaxed local cats, who call by to say hello!). The coffee cups are real works of art. Highly recommended!

As a coffee lover I can truly recommend this place. After over a week in Montenegro this was the one and only place with tasty coffee. Usually coffee is drinkable or even bad so if you have a chance to visit this gorgeous place don't hesitate! Cats are also so adorable! 😻

Great guy, very professional. Even he is done with work, he let us finish our drinks without complaining. I would recommend any, come here, chat with the barista and enjoy the atmosphere

Fortress
Fort Mogren, also known as Jaz Troop, is a historical site built in 1860 by the Austro-Hungarian Empire to protect Budva's western borders. Despite its historical significance, the fort is set amidst stunning natural surroundings. Accessible via an asphalt road with free parking, the neglected fort suffered heavy damage during a 1979 earthquake. However, it offers breathtaking views of Budva and the nearby Jazz beach.
Great part of a coastal hike that can be reached from the beach in Old Town and return on a pedestrian walkway along the main road back down.

We went on a Sunday at sunset and it was a bit crowded. It’s easily accessible by car or by walk. Views were stunning! Definitely a must go place if you are in Budva PS: it is free :)
Mariam L — Google review
The Fortress is in ruins so not so much to see. But this spot does provide a good viewpoint directly down towards the old town and coastline . It's a nice bit of exercise to walk there, 2kms from the old town, take a bottle of water with you in this heat.
Miles M — Google review
Free, old ruined fortress up on top of the hill. Plenty of free parking and great views of Budva and surrounding area. Niceplaceto go for a quick visit.
Tim H — Google review
Nice free fort to visit slightly outside of budva . Can hike or drive. plenty of free parking with nice new pavement . It’s a good spot for rv’s to park/ camp as well (after the paved road ends and gravel begins , the road is good and only gravel for a minute ) . Nice view of the old town and sea , not so much to see as it doesn’t take long to walk around the walls (maybe 5minutes) worth a stop tho
Just G — Google review
Very good spot for the night, free.for day time too far from the center , 30 min walk in the heat! No public transport. A bit noisy with the young people coming and going but that stoped at 1am.
Parisa D — Google review
While you are there, beside the historical and beautiful castle you will also have a view of the Budva that will leave you speechless. On the other side of the view, you can see a beautiful beach Jazz, that I recommend visiting. There are no big crowds inside of the castle so any time is a good time to visit. Be careful when it comes to extreme heats though because the castle does not provide a huge area of shade

It's okay, the view is pretty good, but the fort itself is nothing to write home about

Hotel
Hotel Slovenska Plaza is a seasonal resort in Budva, offering relaxed rooms and suites. The hotel features saltwater pools, three restaurants serving national and international dishes, and a kids' club. During the summer, guests can enjoy open summer terraces and all-inclusive bars by the pools. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Omnia Night Club and a short drive from the Secluded Mogren Sandy Beach.
Hotel Slovenska Plaža is a solid choice for travellers who: • Want a good location in Budva near the beach and old town, • Are comfortable staying in a resort-style complex (rather than an upscale boutique hotel), • Are most interested in spend time at the beach / pool / exploring town rather than expecting ultra-luxury service. On the other hand, if you are looking for: • a top-tier 4/5 star hotel with pristine consistent service, ultra-modern rooms, very gourmet dining, and don’t want to deal with any service variability → then you may want to look at options with stronger reviews in those areas. Star-rating suggestion: Around 3.5 to 4 out of 5 – great location + resort concept, but with some trade-offs in service, clarity of room categories, and value.
Amrit D — Google review
We stayed at Slovenska Plaza 4 and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We even paid extra for a renovated room, but the service and overall quality were terrible. Every night, loud music from the restaurant played until 3 a.m., making it impossible to sleep or rest. I tried calling reception and sending messages, but there was no response – the noise continued until the early morning hours. Housekeeping was extremely poor. During our 7-day stay, the trash was never taken out, the floors were not cleaned, and even though we left the light on to request cleaning, nothing was done. Towels were rarely changed, and the new ones we received were dirty. On top of that, the cleaning staff started shouting and talking loudly in the corridors from 8 a.m., right outside the doors, which made it impossible to rest in the mornings. Breakfast was also disappointing – always the same, very poor quality, with scrambled eggs full of eggshells. The only positive aspect is the location, which is convenient and close to everything. Overall, we cannot recommend this hotel. The service, food, and noise levels were unacceptable, especially considering the price we paid.
Karolina B — Google review
Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was mostly disappointing: • Cleanliness: There was mold in the bathroom, the floor was dirty, the bed linen was not fresh, and the towels were often unclean. Despite asking at the reception three times, our room was never properly cleaned. • Food: For a hotel of this class, the quality and variety of the meals were disappointing – we definitely expected more. • Room: Everything worked technically, but the TV channels were poor and the Wi-Fi was very weak. • Reception location: The walk to the reception is very long, which is inconvenient, especially with luggage. For a price of €1,000 per person, the value for money is not justified. On the positive side, the staff were friendly, we were even driven to our room upon arrival, and the best part was definitely the beach – it’s truly stunning!
Human M — Google review
Wifi, cleaning services and room are bad things in the hotel. Playground is a good thing, food is ok. Wifi in my room at Kamelija C is poor: closing door then can't see/connect wifi sometimes, unable to make video call... Maybe in other blocks can be better but many people complaint the same. Then you can't use your TV at all. Many lights/ lamps in the room don't work. No shower gel, no soup are fulfilled. The containers are just decorated. Lavabo aren't cleaned.
Cuong L — Google review
absolutely the worst hotel in the country! the staff are rude, we received a room that was flooded and had a wild alley cat living in it with hair everywhere. they said they would take care of it but did nothing for two hours. after an arguement they gave us another room that was no better. no hot water. nothing works. the hotel is built like a maze but no one helps you around. absolute nightmare
אוהד מ — Google review
This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at — I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. There were cockroaches, bugs, and ants in the room. To be fair, after we complained, they moved us to a slightly better room, but even there the balcony wasn’t in good condition. The reception was very far away — we had to walk about 10 minutes, which is horrible when it’s 40 degrees outside. On the last day, they promised to come and pick up our luggage so we wouldn’t have to carry everything ourselves, but no one showed up. We ended up having to walk to the reception with all our suitcases and bags. Their attitude is extremely irresponsible. The food was okay — not great, but tolerable. The staff speaks very little English or Russian. The only good thing about the hotel is its location in the city center, and that’s it. There was no animation or entertainment like in Turkish hotels, everything was at a very low level. I will never stay at this hotel again.
Nargiz G — Google review
The hotel is far from matching a 4-star standard. There was mold buildup in the shower, the curtains were dirty (stains resembling food), cobwebs in the corners, and the mirrors were not properly cleaned. The towels were either stained or had holes in them. We additionally booked a baby crib for which we paid €49. It was in very poor condition — as soon as we moved it slightly, the bottom came apart and the mattress fell through. We were lucky that the baby wasn’t inside at the time. The refrigerator was so loud that we had to turn it off at night, and in the morning we had to clean up a puddle underneath it. We could also clearly hear noise from the corridor and other rooms. The cleaning staff forgot to bring towels one day, didn’t clean the room at all the next day (so we had to go to the reception desk and ask for cleaning), and on the third day they cleaned the room but didn’t take out the trash. For every malfunction or complaint, guests are instructed to call a short internal number — but there was no phone in the room (even though it was indicated that there should be one). The hotel grounds are large, the reception was quite far from our villa, and with a baby it wasn’t always convenient to walk there. Trying to call the mobile number listed online didn’t work either, as no one ever answered. Neighbors mentioned that their TV didn’t work and their air conditioning wasn’t functioning properly. We stayed in the Oleandra villa, so we cannot comment on the condition of other villas, but our experience was highly disappointing.
Inga K — Google review
I would not recommend at all, the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed. The room is not clean. I have been here for 2 weeks. The bed sheets are never changed. The trash is almost never collected. There is no wet/dry separation in the bathroom shower area, so the bathroom floor is always wet. The ceiling in the bathroom has water dripping down above the toilet bowl. I sit and worry about the dirtiness because the water from the bathroom upstairs keeps dripping down (if you are lucky, it will drip on your head). And the ceiling does not know when it will collapse. The tissue roll that the housekeeper left is so wet that it cannot be used because the water from the room upstairs drips down. I have to buy tissue from the supermarket for my own use. Shampoo/shower soap is never enough. I have to buy it myself as well.

Mogren 2 Beach is an extension of Mogren Beach, nestled in a small bay surrounded by cliffs. Despite being secluded, it can get quite busy in the summer. The beach offers various spots to relax and enjoy with loved ones, including shaded areas. The sea deepens quickly and may be a bit turbulent at times due to storms. Visitors recommend arriving early to avoid crowds and note that the water is clean.
This is a great morning sun beach. The water is crystal clear. Rocky cliffs surround the beach offering spectacular views and afternoon shade. Mogren beach is secluded vs other beaches on the Budva Riviera. Highly recommend.
Chris W — Google review
Amazing beach. Clear water. The prices for sun beds are high and not fix. Seems like they have special rate for foreign tourists.
Amnon H — Google review
Recommendation: if you do not need the sun, come in the late afternoon when the whole beach is under shade, there are far less people. And for swimming, do not go through the latter part as there are many stones so you can hurt yourself. The beach is very crowded otherwise and there is hardly any space. Lots of stupid jetski and motorboats driving past all the time from and to Mogren I / Budva. There are nicer beaches than this, though definitely nicer than Mogren I.

This beach suits me very well. You need to watch out for rocks under the water—I hit one myself while swimming. It’s clean, and the water is crystal clear. I had a really good rest here

Best place to discover Adriatic shores of Budva with a walking distance Crystal clear sea and crowded beaches. Pine trees on the hill also provides shadow & u can even climb up to the castle For those who want more comfort there is a resort with sunbed options as well for 20-30€ Just Enjoy 😊

Great beach, quite big. Sandy at lower tides. Some fun things to do like cliff jumping and also swim or walk around to the blue lagoon. Has one restaurant. Free car park at top but a 5 minute walk down a slippery and steep path. Lots of rubbish on the path and near beach, but beach itself is clean. Better maybe to park near Mogren 1 and walk through stone door to get here.

The Old Town Terrace Apartments are located in a historic area that was originally a fortress on an island near the coast, later connected to the mainland by a natural sandy bridge. This Greek-founded 'shopping center' offers a peaceful stay close to the Old Town and the sea, with spacious living areas and panoramic windows. The large terrace provides comfortable seating and stunning views of the Old Town and bay. Guests appreciate the helpful staff and overall pleasant experience at this well-located accommodation.

Aleksandra L — Google review
(Translated by Google) We rested in April 2018 in a four-bed room with two bedrooms and a living room (also known as a kitchen). Pros: - Good location - close to the Old Town, but not noisy. Walk to the Old Town and the sea for about 7 minutes. - Large living room with panoramic windows, large terrace/balcony with comfortable sofas and table. - View from the terrace - you can see the Old Town and the bay. - Value for money. - Friendliness of the staff Cons: - Poorly thought out room equipment. There are no hangers or hooks for clothes in the hallway - when you arrive, there is simply nowhere to hang your outerwear, the closest place for clothes is the closets in the bedrooms. - The shower was leaking in the bathroom, which periodically caused a puddle on the floor, and the door handle and towel holder kept falling off. - The room was not clean enough upon arrival. - The windows of both bedrooms overlook the common corridor on the floor, so only the terrace faces the street. Overall, in terms of price/quality ratio and location, we can give it a solid 4 out of 5" (Original) Отдыхали в апреле 2018 года в четырехместном номере с двумя спальнями, гостиной (она же кухня).

Good beach with nice views. Although there are small pebbles here, it will be more comfortable in aqua shoes. One part of the beach is free, where you can come with your own towel, the second part with sunbeds and umbrellas is not free. The water here is clean and transparent, especially in the morning (7-9 am)

Decent beach, very big, with coarse sand. Clean water, though not very clear. A few beach bars. Lots of sun loungers and also some public areas for towels. Avoid the right hand side where jet skis are as it constantly stinks of petrol.
Tim H — Google review
The beach itself is nice and the water clean but it gets crowded and parts of it are littered with trash that tourists leave there. It's also apparent that this beach is mostly meant for hotels and restaurants. It's far less pricey off season but this beach is still way too urbanized to be enjoyable.
Marco V — Google review
A beautiful small pebble beach with sandy spots just above the shoreline. Several beach bars and restaurants offer sunbeds and umbrellas, though they tend to fill up quickly after midday. The crystal-clear blue water is perfect for a refreshing swim on a hot day. We loved it so much, we came back every day during our five-day holiday. Just be aware that it can get quite crowded during peak season and on weekends.
Merine A — Google review
The beach is nice but too bad the tourists have bad manners and keep throwing they cigarettes on the sand/pebbles. Maybe with more trash bins the situation could improve but I fear it’s the lack of education that is responsible. The water is clear in the morning but in the afternoon tends to get bit dirty … again because the tourists leave the mess behind.

Dirty water, with plastic, feathers, leaves and other trash. Lucky I haven't found used condoms and pads free floating there. I do not know whether it is sewage discharge from the city or cruise ships. Surroundings are obviously beautiful, but place is overly crowded, beyond its limit.

Nestled between two rocky outcrops and backed by lush mountains, Kamenovo Beach offers a secluded spot for sunbathing and swimming. Despite its off-the-coastal-highway location, the beach provides all necessary facilities such as sun loungers, beach bars, restaurants, and water sports. The shingle shore overlooks the wooded Sveti Nikola island and is best enjoyed with water shoes.
Pretty nice beach in a wonderful picturesque location. You can get to it through a mysterious tunnel, and immediately after it you would catch a breathtaking view. One half of the beach is free, so you can come here with your own towel, the other half - with sunbeds and umbrellas 20-25 euros (the price includes wifi). Both parts of the beach offer a view on a Sveti Stefan. There is also a toilet. There is a cafe with drinks near the tunnel, but it is better to take water with you. The beach is rocky, so aqua shoes are mandatory!

Probably the best beach near Rafailovici and Becicit. There is a paid area with umbrellas and sunbeds, there is a free area. Beautiful nature, clean transparent water. If you swim with a mask you can see sea urchins, sea bass and other fish. There is a bar and a cafe with delicious food.

A Stunning Beach Just 20 Minutes from Budva Less than a 20-minute drive from Budva, you’ll find a breathtaking beach with crystal-clear waters. The sea is refreshingly cool and stays remarkably transparent until the afternoon. The beach itself is wide, bordered on both sides by public sections. We visited twice — on Saturday, August 16 at 10:00 a.m. and again on Sunday, August 17 at 9:45 a.m. Each time, we easily found plenty of shaded parking spots at the entrance (just €5 for the whole day, with card payment available). The beach sits directly below the parking area. On your way down, you’ll pass a small fruit stand run by a local child — watermelon is the top seller, usually gone before noon. Both the public and serviced areas offer plenty of sunbeds. Prices vary depending on the section: • Front row with built-in shade: €25 for two • Larger lounge-style cabanas in the middle: €50 • Back row sunbeds: €25 By 10:00 a.m. the beach was filling up, and by noon almost every spot was taken. Arriving early is highly recommended — not only to secure a sunbed, but also because the morning swimming is especially wonderful. Facilities are excellent: showers, changing cabins, and restrooms are available. The toilets on the Budva side are particularly well-maintained and spotless. Unlike many other beaches, there are more than enough showers for everyone. A beach bar and two restaurants serve tasty food from a wide-ranging menu. The sand is mixed with pebbles, so water shoes are helpful. Pedal boats and small boats can also be rented nearby. Music starts playing louder around 11:00 a.m., and we even caught live music in the afternoon. There is tunnel connecting here with the Budva coastal line, interesting walkway. The tunnel is right by the restaurant ocer the hill with a good view of the beach. Overall, the staff (either at the beach, by ice-cream kiosk or restaurant) is very friendly and helpful. Before coming here, we had tried Horizonti in Tivat, Jaz Beach (between Budva and Tivat), and the famous Sveti Stefan. Honestly, this beach tops them all — perfect for both families and young travelers. The scenery, the water, and the overall vibe are simply fantastic.
Cem B — Google review
The beach is beautiful and clean. Half of it is free but without chairs or umbrellas, so you need to bring your own or just sit on a towel directly on the ground without any sun protection. The other half offers 2 chairs and an umbrella for €25. The beach is not sandy but covered with fine pebbles that are not harmful to walk on, though water shoes are recommended.

It’s better to take a bus since parking costs 3 euros per hour and most of the time it’s packed. At the beach it self there is nothing so bring your own food and water. There is shop but 15 mins up hill. You can walk through the park and reach the outstanding view over Saint Stephan island. Please do take trash after you since this is one of the cleanest beaches. Let’s keep it this way. ☺️

Luchica Beach is a beautiful sandy beach located in a secluded cove. It is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the local restaurants and shops. The area is still almost untouched, making it a great place to relax and escape the city noise.
Wonderful lagoon, always pure water, amazing pine smell. Pretty Expensive (30€ for 2 beds and 2 umbrellas) but the beach is always clean and well organized. Very good service (personal thanks to Slavko). The staff is very friendly.
Natalia Z — Google review
Gorgeous beach. Lovely view and clean. It was just annoying that there are so many parasols and people. I wish some beaches were quieter.
BA R — Google review
The beach itself & setting is really beautiful, but as many others have said it's incredibly crowded (even at 10am there is essentially no space to put your things) and it is pretty dirty. They are also building another beach bar at the far end so the far end of the beach the water is gross and there is construction noise/dirt. Some expensive beach bars and umbrellas along the beach if you want this, with the free area squeezed into a corner which I guess will get smaller with the new beach bar when it's completed. Once you get past the first 3/4 meters of children and people in the sea the experience changes and the sea is very nice to swim in, but this is not a relaxing beach to stay on all day during high season.
Nicolas P — Google review
Lučica Beach is a hidden gem just south of Petrovac—clear turquoise water, soft pebbles and sand, and surrounded by pine-covered cliffs creating a calm, family-friendly vibe. Beach infrastructure is solid: sunbeds and umbrellas (often paid, around €15–30 for two), a bar/restaurant booth, public restrooms, showers, and a basic kids’ playground. Parking’s easy with free and paid options nearby. Calm, shallow waters make it safe for kids and swimmers; great for snacks, swimming, and lounging. It gets noticeably crowded mid-day in summer, but you can still find space if you go early.
Haytham A — Google review
Nice beach. Sunbed+ umbrella 30€ for full day. after 5pm its 20€.
Carolina K — Google review
Lučice beach is a great choice, and honestly better than the main beach in Petrovac. It has a more natural feel, and the water is super clean. It does get crowded, especially in the part where people lay out their towels – there, folks often don't leave much room to pass, which can be a bit annoying. But there’s also a section with sunbeds, and the Barboon café offers them under much better conditions than most beach bars (definitely recommended!). Once you get past the shallow area, the sea is actually quite calm and not crowded at all. If you bring an air mattress or something to float on, you can really enjoy the open space. Even near the buoys, the depth isn’t too much – you can still see the bottom. All in all, it’s a great place to spend the day, especially if you want a mix of beach fun and a bit of peace in the water.
Bojan V — Google review
Nice beach, but not as clean as Petrovac beach. More free space, but can be very crowdy during weekends and in high season. At the moment of arrival children's playground was not in a very good shape, the waterslide, too. Small promenade. Nice sunsets.
Adomas U — Google review
Went there early morning (Wed 21 Aug) around 8am, we were among the first people to get 4 umbrellas and 4 beds for €60 in the first row. Outside the beds area there were a lot of people already. The parking barrier was up and nobody to charge us the €5 for the parking, but you can pay when leaving. The beds area got fully occupied by 10:30. In 4-5 meters the water starts to get to over 2 meters deep and slowly it gets to 5-6M deep. Water was pretty clear with 5-8 meters visibility (underwater) and not too many fish. There were lots of families with kids as well, everybody seemed to enjoy it, small waves of max 20-30 cm high... Overall a good experience.

Petrovac Beach is a popular tourist spot with a mix of sand and pebbles, offering stunning views and convenient access to town amenities. During peak season in July and August, the beach can get crowded due to traditional festivals, but early mornings offer a serene experience with the soothing sounds of nature. The area boasts a rich history dating back to the Roman Empire, evident from archaeological findings like Roman mosaics.
Petrovac is a very place in Montenegro 🇲🇪. Nice small beach town. Very friendly and some excellent places to eat. Beach is not the best I have been to in the Adriatic, but beautiful colours of the sea. Beach easy to get to. A good few coffee shops and restaurants close by.
Hug D — Google review
Greek vibe little village with a small beach, with a lot off public beach area’s (without payed sunbeds). Compared to other beaches, it’s really crowded here. Beach is mainly sand and offers no pebbles (except the corners). Has a nice viewpoint in the harbor. Worth visiting.
Melle V — Google review
The beach is a mixture of coarse grain sand and pebbles, very unsteady, your feet drowns when you step into the water. The depth increases very quickly and sharply, it is above your head already in several meters from the shore. Because of that, there is almost always a big wave hitting the shore, so it is tricky when you try to get out. It might be fun of course, but not great for children and relaxed swims. Water is overall clean, transparent, better than Budva.
Ismayil J — Google review
Lovely promenade and surroundings with good choice of restaurants and cafes. Lot's of ATM machines and shops as well. The beach itself is covered by small stones, almost sand like. Not much beach facilities available but I have to consider that we visited Petrovac in October. A few tour boats offering private tours and shared ones to Budva, St Stefan island and St Nicola.
Stefan S — Google review
Dirty, overcrowded, overpriced (25eur for 2 sunbeds), no public toilets, no parking, cold water (I don’t know why), and closed at night (you can’t go for a night beach walk as people from the nearby hotel will tell you to leave) also trash on the beach and in the water. I never seen in my life as bad place with so good rating.
Marcin K — Google review
It's busy but has a great vibe. Get there early. Sun loungers cost a lot... Like between 25-40 EUR. Public beaches can get crowded but are free. The promenade is nice. Food and drink is not expensive. There are two there beaches nearby if you're prepared to walk 20 + mins. Family friendly. Some trash lying around here and there.
Alain N — Google review
Nice beach and lot of space in late september. No toilet, no trash bins why?
Anne T — Google review
Petrovac Beach is undeniably beautiful, with clear waters and stunning views. However, the beach maintenance and trash collection could be significantly improved. A large portion of the beach is reserved for sunbed and umbrella rentals, starting at €25 and up, yet the facilities are lacking—showers and changing rooms are inadequate. There’s no music or any kind of service included in the rental price, and there are no public restrooms available on the beach. Visitors either have to return to their accommodation or rely on nearby cafés or restaurants to use a bathroom. With better upkeep and basic amenities, this beach could truly live up to its potential.

Crvena glavica beach is part of a complex that includes both sandy and rocky beaches, with a total length of 500 meters. The name "Crvena glavica" comes from the reddish shade reflected by the sand and rocks. It's recommended to make a reservation in advance, as it can get crowded. The beach offers beach sets for rent, which include amenities like water and ice coffee.
One of my favourite beaches in Montenegro with free parking. We arrived here by chance, We missed the entrance to Sveti Stefan beach. The road was very narrow, just for one car. Wife didn't like that but we had no problems at all to get there and leave the place. There was a host at the entrance offering sunbeds....very expensive IMO. We declined and just soak into the water. At 10 am in July there were just a a couple of people in the beach as in other parts of the coast. There is also access to the next beach where you can put your own umbrella. Clean beach and nice atmosphere. There is a restaurant and toilet facilities as well as showers with no charge. We'll come back next time for sure. Forgot to mention that they don't allow your own water bottles and food and drinks might be a bit overpriced as the chairs. We didn't use any of those though, we just had a couple of espresso which was the right price.

Does happiness lie under the knife of a cosmetic surgeon? Is happiness being surrounded by blaring weird pop music? Is happiness drinking over-priced drinks and food? Is happiness spending €55 for two beds (one broken) on concrete a long walk to the beach? Is happiness being surrounded by vain sulky people and rude staff? Is happiness dirty water with all sorts of plastic floating by? Is happiness not being allowed to drink your own water but being forced to buy theirs? If you’re answering yes to the above you’ll love this place! If not avoid like the plague, they’ve taken a little piece of paradise and turned it in to a paid-for jail. Do better Montenegro. Won’t be back. (This pic makes it look cool, it’s not.)

Przno Beach is a picturesque sandy beach located in an old fishing village on the Budva Riviera. It offers a swimming area and sunbeds for hire, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean vibes. The beach is divided into two sections, with the pebble beach open to all visitors and the sandy beach exclusive to guests of Aman Sveti Stefan Villa Milocer. The surrounding area boasts charming restaurants offering fresh fish dishes and a great atmosphere.
It's a beautiful beach but can get quite busy. Nice restaurants are available here. There are cold showers and changing spots near the beach.

The beach is great. You have all you need, you can choose to have sunbeds or you can find a place for towels. The water is crystal clear, good for some snorkeling. The view is great. We had some ice cold water in the day we arrived here, but I guess it is usually warmer.
Rares M — Google review
The small beach with very limited area for swimming. A lot of very nice restaurants along the coast. A starting point for nice promenade to Sveti Stefan (around 20 mins). Sunbeds are at €20 (in Sep. 2023).
Konstantin A — Google review
Very busy beach with a lot of families with children. Not that that was a problem but as a group of young people this was not what we expected. Sunbeds are 20€/day but not worth is. There is beach service with coffees and drinks but the people serving do not speak or understand english which is bothering in a touristic place. Prices are high but the location itself is very beautiful

Sveti Stefan Beach is a picturesque islet resort beach with stunning views and a 15th-century fortress. It's the perfect spot for an early-morning dip, leisurely walk, or a delicious plate of Black Risotto at Amadeus, a charming family-run beachfront restaurant overlooking the resort island.
incredibly beautiful beach, entrance to it is absolutely free, so you can come with your own umbrella. Here is only one restaurant on the territory where you can buy coffee, so it is better to take water or a snack with you

Clean water and beach. Nice views. However, the entry into the water is very uncomfortable due to large boulders that are painful to walk on. Considering the price of €50 for an umbrella and two sunbeds, they could have made the access to the sea more convenient.

One of the best beaches in the area, really clean, quite big. Starts with stones, but then becomes nice sand quite quickly in the water. Some bars and restaurants. Lots of paid sun loungers, but also free public areas. Best to park at top of hill and walk as not much parking.
Tim H — Google review
Beautiful beach with stunning views. Keep in mind there are no public toilets – you need to buy something from the cafes to use their restrooms. There are only a few cafes and limited options to eat near the beach, but it’s worth visiting for the scenery.
Alexandra V — Google review
Read for tips/directions 👉🏻 Sveti Stefan Beach is truly one of Montenegro's most beautiful spots. With its iconic island view, crystal-clear waters, and picturesque surroundings, it's perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and especially for watching breathtaking sunsets. Getting there is easy: From Budva center, it's just a 15-20 minute drive. If you prefer public transport, buses run frequently (every 15 minutes) and cost only 2.5 euros per person - just remember to bring cash as cards aren't accepted. The beach has two distinct sides. The left side features a stony shoreline, while the right side has a mix of sand and pebbles - this is where you'll get the best sunset views. I highly recommend renting an umbrella (15 euros) as shade can be limited during peak hours. For dining options, walk up the stairs near the beach to reach the road above. Just 5 minutes away you'll find several excellent restaurants serving fresh seafood and local Montenegrin dishes. Helpful tips: - Arrive early in peak season to secure a good spot - Water shoes are useful due to some rocky areas - Don't forget cash for buses and beach amenities With its natural beauty and relaxed atmosphere, Sveti Stefan Beach is absolutely worth visiting. The stunning views and magical sunsets make it one of my favorite places in Montenegro.
Stennet B — Google review
This beach truly came out from a fairytale book: stunning view, very calm sea and empty beach even on a Saturday. The prices for the sun bed and drinks were a little more expensive than usual, but nothing absurd (30 euros for 2 sun beds + umbrella). Easy access by bus from both Kotor and Budva
Marianna R — Google review
Sveti Stefan is absolutely breathtaking! The view of the island and the turquoise water is stunning, it looks like a postcard. The atmosphere is peaceful, elegant, and perfect for relaxing or taking amazing photos. A must-visit if you’re in Montenegro!
Aksel B — Google review
This beach is one of the best along the Montenegrin coast and around Sveti Stefan. It’s clean, free of garbage, and spacious enough for everyone—both in the free area and the paid section. If you choose the free part of the beach, I recommend staying closer to the Sveti Stefan island: the pebbles there are smaller, and the entrance to the sea is much more comfortable compared to the paid beach. I highly recommend renting a SUP board and paddling around the island—the experience is truly amazing. The atmosphere here is wonderful. The only downside is the lack of showers on the beach.

Buljarica Beach is a spacious and popular spot featuring a mix of sand and pebbles. It offers gorgeous scenery with green fields backing the beach, quickly transitioning into craggy mountains typical of Montenegro's coast. The beach is ideal for families and couples seeking relaxation, providing ample open space for sunbathing. Although there is no natural shade, convenient and affordable parking is available.
It was the least crowded beach. Parking area is along the beach, cost 3 euro/day. You can rent parasol or just set up your own, there is plenty space even on a Saturday. Water is shallow, rocky and full of life. The kids spent hours of snorkeling in the bay. And I could run my kite. Overall great beach with a lot of bins for the litter.

Thomas J — Google review
I enjoyed this beach, it is large enough not to feel very tight even when it gets crowded, it is very peaceful in the morning and the views are lovely. Swimming back to the shore gives you a really nice view of the mountains. It has parts with paid sunbeds and also free space where you can set up with your own umbrella, towel, chair. There are lots of big rocks though that you may need to move around to make enough space for your set-up. You can go at sea with a SUP (stand-up paddle board), the beach is long enough for this. Bring water shoes, the seabed is rocky too. Parking is 4 Euro per day and there are toilets for 0.5 Euro. There are also terraces on the spot, we tried two and both had nice food. You can eat well and have a beer for 15 Euro/person (or more, but this is a minimum). Also, the people we've met were very friendly.
