Kaunos Ancient City is a fascinating archaeological site located in Dalyan, Turkey. The city features various structures and impressive tombs carved into the mountainside. Visitors staying at the nearby hotel can enjoy stunning views of the Calbis River, Antique Kaunos City, and Lycian King Tombs. The town of Dalyan offers a charming atmosphere with riverside restaurants serving delicious fish dishes and small bars for enjoying Turkish coffee.
Absolutely amazing ancient ruins. Quite a hike from one plateau to another but worth it. The boat across was 100TL for two people return. And the pancakes at the cafe on that side were amazing. Well worth a visit. If you go into the cemetery and walk straight on, then take a little turn right at the fence you can get a closer look at the rock tombs.

An amazing relic of the past. I'd like to give everyone a little information here. There is no need to get a boat trip to visit this place. Walk along the front in the direction of the sea. (Left). You will see a restaurant on the other side. There is a row boat service to take you to over. The cost is insignificant. You will see a single road on the other side. Simply walk along it for approximately 20 minutes and you will arrive at Caunos. You can not miss it. It's an easy walk for most people. You do have to get in and out of the boat, obviously but you will be helped. These are pictures of the crossing point.
James B — Google review
Well worth a visit to the extensive ruins. Took the car ferry as foot passengers from river by Hotel Portleva. Fare 20 lira each way (cash). Then 15 minutes easy walk on a road. Entry fee 140 lira each again cash only. Visited from 4pm on 1 October and only a very few people were there. The amphitheatre is being renovated but still accessible. The lower level by the river is river is accessible by an ancient paved path which is uneven in places -saw a few big lizards. It’s possible to cross the river by row boat from the town centre but this means a longer walk on the other side.
Nigel H — Google review
Kaunos is a must see if you’re in the area! So much amazing history to see and gorgeous views over the water! Remember to bring water as it’s HOT up there… they have opened a little cafe to grab a drink too.
Kylee K — Google review
Kaunos is an ancient city located in the province of Muğla, Turkey, near the modern town of Dalyan. Once a strategically important port city, it is now situated several kilometers inland due to the silting of its harbor over centuries. The city is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List and is known for its unique blend of Carian, Lycian, Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine influences. There is quite a lot of restoration work but it doesn't detract from what you see. There are bilingual signs outlining what each structure is and it's history. All in all, it's like the entertainment quarter for the ancient inhabitants of this area. Entry is 150 Turkish Lira payable at the top. The walk up is very dusty and hot. I recommend good walking shoes, a hat and water.
Jodie E — Google review
4th visit. This time I decided to walk to the highest point where the castellations are. It was a difficult ascent which took about 30 min's beyond the ampitheatre. Don't think I'd do that walk again but if you're up for a challenge go for it. The views are panoramic once at the top
Ian B — Google review
Nice historical place with splendidviews! The ticket costs 150 turkish lira per person (only cash).

Beach
İztuzu Beach, also known as Turtle Beach, has a rich history of conservation efforts thanks to the dedication of June Haimoff, who fought against resort development and established the Kaptan June Sea Turtle Conservation Project. The beach is a haven for loggerhead sea turtles and offers visitors the chance to see these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
The beach is great. But with few hours hike is the best. We parked cars on last bigger parking place bit over beach and walked around by marked path up/down to beach.
Michal S — Google review
Awesome place to visit. You can also see a real turtle hospital. Not a for-profit turtle farm but a place where they really save these animals.
John S — Google review
Lovely beach , water was nice and warm in August . Calm enough to swim. Soft golden sand . Good facilities including changing rooms and showers. Tour boats can bring you here and also stop off to show you the turtles in the sea just before you arrive.
Zaen J — Google review
This is such a beautiful beach. Lovely fine sand and crystal clear waters. There are plenty of amenities such as changing room huts, toilet facilities and a pleasant covered cafe that does a good selection of soft drinks and beer. The staff are helpful and friendly. There are sunbeds and parasols and they're pretty cheap.
Keith H — Google review
Fantastic beach absolutely 5 stars for everything. The beach is lovely sandy and clean. The sea is warm and remains shallow for a long time. They have a very nice bar/ restaurant with lots of choices for very low prices. The entrance is very fair at 100 TL. The sun-beds are cheap compared to other beaches at 200 TL per set. People are nice. They have clean toilets and dressing area and a life guard on watch as well as a first aid post. Pretty great, we will go again.
Tim M — Google review
Beautiful place and a must of you are in the region. It's a pity it's dirty with so many people.
José S — Google review
The beach is beautiful and wide, long enough and spacious. Very fine sand and shallow water. The entrance fee is cheap, 100 tl, but beware that there is a gate up the road from the beach, that closes at 7 pm, so you have to leave before or risk getting stuk there overnight. This is because the turtles come at night.
Moni — Google review
Quite a nice beach but not the best ive been to.busy up the top but if walk down a bit there's not so.many people

3Dalyan Saturday Market

Market
Dalyan Saturday Market, previously held on Saturdays, has now moved to Wednesdays. However, the Koycegiz market on Mondays offers a wider variety of goods and can be reached by a ferry from Dalyan. The market is just a ten-minute walk from Dalyan's center and offers fresh local produce, clothing, bags, shoes, spices, and artisanal foods. Tourists are advised to haggle for bargains and enjoy the beautiful market with shaded areas.
Very traditional open market selling all sorts. Fruit and veg as fresh as you can get it. It’s like it’s been just taken from the farm or tree. Also fresh milk and dairy products. Cheap as chips and fresh too.
Asif G — Google review
Fresh fruits and vegetables, at a very good price. Great gozleme! They say it's pancakes, but they seem more like a pie. Too bad it's open only on saturday's...
Radu D — Google review
Enjoyed this market. Only on Saturdays- 10 minute walk from the centre but we had to get a taxi back as the heat was oppressive. Some freshly cooked pancakes. Free donoughts and a nice chap giving away watermelon slices. We bargained - knocking off about 1/4 of the price. Don't fall for the "first customer" special deal. Nought a fake LV handbag starting 1200 down to 800 only to see it for 500 in a shop.
Liza T — Google review
The weekly Saturday market is a ten minute walk out of Dalyan's centre, up Ataturk Blvd. out of town, and then taking the right fork and turning left around the school. It's a large-ish market with lots of fresh local fruit, veg, honey, cheese, yoghurt, eggs, herbs etc., and during the tourist season, lots of clothes, bags, shoes, spices, Turkish delight, soaps etc. If you're self-catering in Dalyan, it's well worth buying all your supplies here, as they're a fraction of the price of the supermarkets, and very good quality. There's no fish or meat, but there are butchers and fishmongers in town. There's a couple of stalls where fresh pancakes are made and served, along with soft drinks. There's some shade but the walk there and back can be punishing in the heat. Good for people-watching and soaking up the local atmosphere.
Lesly H — Google review
Bought some genuine fake items, worth the haggle. Fruit and veg very good value. The baklava was a let down, tasted factory produced
Anne W — Google review
Some nice stuff here but you do need to haggle . I would honestly say the clothes and bags in the shops in Dalyan town Center are better value and quality . Shop owners to hassle you a little but if you say no thanks they will leave you alone . Fruit and veg stalls are very good lots of herbs and spices .
Simon B — Google review
Much better now it has a permanent roof over it. Much cooler, but still blooming hot! Be prepared for the mither. Every stall will try to get you to bully from them except the fruit and veg. They all start stupid high prices and WILL COME down, but you've got to be prepared to haggle AND walk away if the price isn't what you want. Also make sure they put the item they've showed you in the bag, they might attempt a switch when putting it in a bag and sealing it... market as per title is only on a Saturday. Tends to close down about 5pm turkish time. Check the quality as it can differ from 1 stall to the next, they are not all selling the same stuff even though on the surface it can look that way.
Jason C — Google review
As to be expected at any tourist market, you need to be ready to barter or walk away. The pushiest sellers were women selling jewellery, but their starting prices are a lot higher than the shops in the town, same for glazed pottery. Check quality too, especially stitching on bags and clothing. There is also a section selling fresh produce, spices, honey, etc - good if you're self catering.

The Caunos Tombs of the Kings offer stunning views from Dalyan and boat tours in the lagoon. To get a closer look, visitors can cross to the Candir side and take a short walk or use a tractor in summer. Despite arriving to find it closed, some travelers were allowed in by the gatekeeper, giving them exclusive access to explore the site. The tombs themselves are off-limits but can be admired from the boardwalk.
Here's a refined version of your sentence: It's impressive to see how, in ancient times, they honored their king by building these tombs. I enjoyed sitting next to them, reflecting on how people back then made the decision to construct such monuments and their purpose. It's a must-see place. Next time, I plan to spend more time exploring further.
Tansu E — Google review
Beautiful and fascinating area after a lovely walk from Dalyan, very peaceful. Full of history but also interesting wildlife and great views
Mark H — Google review
Great tombs to see and you can get amazing views from restaurants on the other side of the river and boat trips. Theres also some great local drink stands with refreshing drinks nearby which I highly recommend.
Olly L — Google review
Every time we visit Dalyan we always hop along the river to visit Caunos/Kaunos to see for ourselves what secrets have been revealed again. If you go prepare for a walk of half an hour (max). It's a nice walk and people along the road sell fresh orange juice/honey/olives and pome granate for a fair price. Enjoy!
Jan W — Google review
You can access the entrance either with ferry departing from Dalyan(if you dont have a car, you can walk 15minutes once you land on the other side) or riding via çandır road. No visitor, no park guy was there when we visited but actually this is a Museum Card zone. Incredibly beatiful, a must visit place
Hasan E — Google review
Beautiful place to visit and take pictures. Pictures taken from the canal as we went via an excursion we booked. Beautiful to see and how well it has preserved
Tiffany J — Google review
Without a doubt, when Caunos is in question, most people and historians think about the Tombs of the Kings. These tombs belong to the real kinds of Caunos nation, and they are carved into a mountain. In their belief, the dead should be buried and the higher the location of the tomb of the buried, the closer the person could be to the gods. This is why, all these tombs are carved on the top of the mountains, which is almost impossible to climb today. You can enjoy the beautiful and breathtaking scenery of these Tombs of the Kings, which were carved during the 4th century BC. Keep in mind that you can find plenty of beautiful holiday villas to stay in the area by visiting our homepage right now!

Only had takeaway from here delivered to a bar, football match, very good pide. Ate in here last year and food was excellent.

Food is good, portions could be larger, and the handmade ayran was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. Some renovations would be better for the interior.

This place is a little gem nice food at a cheap price most people walk past it we eat there 3 time and a takeaway
Paul M — Google review
I had a really bad experience in that restaurant a few years ago.. I ordered pide (average quality and taste) when used the bathroom, warned the owners that the floor was wet needed to be dried to avoid an accident; I received a horrible reaction from the owners. My younger son wasn't even 1 year old in the buggy. I felt terrible. They were type of man who wouldn't like to hear what to do from a woman [they took this request as an order].. I would just keep away from a place and never support a business who treats people horrible like that..
Neslisah P — Google review
Had some seriously tasty late-evening food here. PIDE for me and Pizza for my wife. A definite on your bucket list for cheap eats and, what is so important for me is that I explained my dietary concerns and the food was cooked Exactly as I asked. We stayed in Grandma's Garden (15 yards ahead on your right) and this is such a centralised eatery it will certainly not disappoint..

(Translated by Google) When you consider the number of people and the price, it was very affordable. We stayed in September 2024 for 2500 TL per night. The rooms were good. The furnishings were a bit old, unfortunately, the cleaning could be better because the pillowcases, sheets and covers were not changed, they did not smell clean, they smelled bad. There is only one air conditioner in one room and it is a bit noisy. Ms. Emine helps with everything. If you do not have a car, places like Migros and the bazaar are 5 minutes away on foot, but a car is required for the beaches because there is no beach nearby. If you find yourself in Dalyan, make sure to stop by Çağrı Pide Pizza Sulu Yemek, a delightful eatery that has quickly become a local favorite. This charming restaurant specializes in traditional Turkish comfort food, particularly the beloved pide—often referred to as Turkish pizza. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, filled with locals who flock here for its authentic flavors and affordable prices.
This was the best meal we had in our 6 days in Dalyan. The food was so tasty, the red wine amazing and staff very friendly. Was so cheap and great value.
Michaela ( — Google review
The evening meal was good and the wine was a typical young Turkish full bodied red at a reasonable price. We chose the restaurant as the majority of customers were Turkish and we find this as a good indicator of the authenticity of the food. Compared with our best Pide restaurants it did not provide a flat bread but white processed bread and no dips.
Peter H — Google review
Absolutely terrible place, I would never recommend it. They literally choose their customers. The waiters are rude, unfriendly, and completely indifferent. We waited 40 minutes for our food and got a disrespectful response when we asked about it. It was honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had in my life. I will never go back. And to my dear English friends — the smiles they show you are fake and purely for money. Stay away.

Great pride and mixed grill always great service . Still the best place for pide
Mark W — Google review
The food is good however the service is not good at all. They first rushed us to order and then took over 45 minutes to serve any of our food. It was pretty ridiculous to rush us to order and then not give us any food for 45 minutes, everyone around us had already eaten and left but we were still sitting there waiting for our order. I would not come again based on the bad service, most the food is tasty but the chips were raw and it is also small portions.

Cautious ! be aware of agressif owners ! Worst Service ever ! they don't even deserve 1 star. I was treated like a dog. they are a shame to turkish hospitality ! I would never go there again and I would strongly advice not to go there for your safety. they are so many better places in Dalyan. And waitress are so much nicer anywhere else. I looked at their menu and I ordered a full roasted chicken. the picture showed a full chicken, rice and chips for 35 tl. other places in Dalyan serve 1entire chicken for 30 lira...but I didn't mind the 5 lira extra. I asked the woman if she can replace chips with salads and she said yes. when she served, she only brought half a chicken! I didn't know what to say - The brought me half chicken for more than the price of a full chicken. and believe me ... it was just a simple roasted chicken. nothing fancy... So anyway, I just wanted to eat ....but the other problem is there were no chips and no salads. When I asked politely for the salads. she became angry at me and she said I will give it you ... only to you! and to no one else ! she acted like she was doing a favor and she shouted very loud at me. I founded this very insulting. especially when she agreed to give me salad at the beginning: she was definitely trying to rip me off...but the fact of getting angry and screaming at me was too much.... I decided to leave the table. one man from the restaurant came to me aggressively and hit me on my chest. this man, seemed to be the owner of the restaurant...when I was waiting for my meal to be served I was talking with my girlfriend in english on the phone. I saw him many times wanting to get up and come to me ....I saw the woman who took my order (maybe his wife) running to him many times to keep him sat on his chair. but.. now he jumped at me, hit me aggressively ....he spoke turkish and said in english "this is my country!!!" Go !!! Goo.... in a very angry manner. he kept being angry and violent and wanted to continue...Probably to beat me again. He tried to call Somebody.. his friends? The police ? After that .. very quickly the street filled up of people surrounded me. One guy came from nowhere hit my phone and he was acting aggresively and asked me to stop recording! The behviour of the restaurant owner indicated that he doesnt like foreigners in his resturant or country. I have never been treated like that in my whole life! I think this is not a human behavior... especially in a restaurant where even if you dont treat well a client...at least don't beat him! is this really turkey ?? I will never go back there. And I will write a complaint on this restaurant. so This behavior will never be tolerated. this is unacceptable. they should be closed and not serve food again. beating a customer is savage! this is a disgrace. if you wanna take your chances being tricked with the food you ordered and maybe get beaten....then go there. personnaly, I would skip this place and try other very nice restaurant nearby. I have recorded a video that I will keep as evidence. unfortunately I cant post it here.. This is a sea food specialized restaurant. The price/performance ratio is very high. The foods are delicious and I don't pay much. Especially try Blue Crab... Get ready to pay cash, credit cards are not accepted

Very happy. Fresh seafood - plus the local blue crabs. Could do with some chilli - but that's the problem with all the restaurants in dalyan.

Nestled in the heart of Dalyan, Caretta Caretta Restaurant is a delightful family-run establishment that offers an unforgettable dining experience. Known for its proximity to Iztuzu Beach, a vital nesting ground for loggerhead sea turtles, this restaurant not only serves up delicious Turkish cuisine but also embodies the spirit of the region's natural beauty. The menu features a variety of flavorful dishes, including their renowned Claypot Chicken kebab, which is as visually impressive as it is tasty.
We ate here x3 as a family of 4 during our stay. This family run restaurant, has fast, friendly, excellent customer service and a competitively priced menu with lots of choice. They served the best food we experienced in Dalyan. They have live music on Friday nights with a great atmosphere. I highly recommend Caretta Caretta, you will not be disappointed. A+++

Great service and good the owner of the restaurant is very attentive to each customer and recognises you when you return the food is great all freshly cooked I would recommend the Fajita and the clay pots. If you don’t like mushrooms you can request them to not be in the dish 😂 3 visits within a week. We will be back next year or even before we go home

Excellent Turkish dish. Really tasty and lots of peppers but powerful but not too spicy. Chef waiter owner excellent. Very attentive and really nice. 1800 for 2 main dishes and 5 drinks. Great value 2nd time had the Claypot Chicken kebab. Really tasty and very theatrical in pouring onto sizzling dish. Big portion. 1870 TL plus 4 drinks. Host even remembered one of us does not like mishrooms

Such a great family experience. The owner was very welcoming and the food was cooked with passion. We shared lots of dishes and all were excellent, from the burgers to the fajitas and the koftas. The traditional Turkish desserts were lovingly recommended. Cocktails finished off a really great night.

What a gem. The family are so warm genuine and open. We loved everything, so much so, we went back for a second night. We were warmly welcomed and experienced the same lovely service and food. What a treat for our last night of our holidays. You will not be disappointed.

The riverside location provides a picturesque setting for activities such as swimming, sunbathing, and boat watching.
This place is amazing, and I would highly recommend it. The staff are friendly and kind. The place is spotlessly clean. Such a different sort of holiday we where here for 4 days 3 nights
Angela O — Google review
We had a very lovely two nights at Midas. The bedroom and bathroom is exceptionally clean - as is the rest of the space. Breakfast was delicious turkish, with coffee and Turkish tea on tap. The position of Midas is fantastic, overlooking the tombs and deck on the river front - it’s got a “million dollar” view 🤗. I highly recommend staying here.
Paul P — Google review
Great view to the tombs. Direct access to the river (you can swim too, the water is very clean and a little salty. The house keeping service is very discreet and nice. The bar is open 24/7 and the bartenders are always there for you with great tips and advice. They also make good conversation, even late in the night.

Pension Midas is located in a wonderful place. The garden is situated at the river, where you can have a lovely swim, do some sunbathing, watch the boats pass by, and it is surrounded by beautiful mountains including a view on the kingsgraves. The breakfast is so well taken care of and very nicely arranged. Everything is very clean, the owners and employees are so friendly and helpful, and the ambiance is fantastic with flours and trees. The room is very neat and clean, as well as the bathroom. You can tell a lot of hard work and love is in this place.
Ingvild N — Google review
It is a super cute place! Staff are super helpful, breakfast is quite good, they have even included coffee which many places charge extra for it. The rooms are very clean and their wifi works properly.
Emel T — Google review
A lovely, peaceful pension overlooking the River and the rock tombs, just 10 minutes walk from town. Tables in the garden overlook the river, as well as loungers on the Riverside decking. Clean, comfortable bedroom and bathroom and extremely helpful people running the place. Breakfast is good and while there isn't food at other times of day, there is a small bar. My transport from the airport was arranged for me at a very reasonable rate, and to go to the Turtle Beach, the river taxi is contacted to stop off at Midas on the way to pick you up. Would definitely stay here again.

Midas Pension is a gem! It is located right on the river and has a lovely ambience. The rooms are neat and clean, the breakfast is delicious, but most of all it has a homey family feeling. The hotel is run by Sercan's family and they are always smiling and helpful. I left my laptop behind at the hotel and Sercan was so helpful - he explored options and shipped it to Istanbul. Highly recommend this hotel!

My husband and I enjoyed a 4 day trip to Dalyan in Midas Pension, super super cozy place. Rooms are cabin like, cozy and warm and has everything you need. It’s close to downtown, shops and the beach. It’s deck on the river is nicely decorated and cozy to sit for a swim, a tan, a cup of tea or simply just getting to know the family who run the place. It’s a family business and everyone was super helpful and handy to us in everything we asked for. Recommend 🙌🏻

Dalyan, located on Turkey's southwestern coast, is a stunning destination that boasts breathtaking natural beauty and a wealth of history. One of the most delightful ways to experience this captivating area is through boat trips, which unveil its hidden treasures—from ancient ruins to idyllic beaches. Among the various options available, "Captain Boris" boat trips stand out for their exceptional service and intimate atmosphere.
If you are travelling to Dalyan this summer and want to take a boat trip, please consider "Captain Boris" boat trips. Boris, Rebecca and the Captain are lovely, friendly people who put you first. The boat is beautiful and limits numbers to around 14. The food was delicious and ample to go around 😋 and even for seconds. We have had several boat trips in Turkey over the years, this was our first visit to Dalyan, and this trip certainly ranks up there with the best. Had an absolutely brilliant day. We plan on returning to Dalyan in September and we will definitely be booking another trip with "Captain Boris" boat trips. Thank you for making our day, and my wife's birthday a very memorable occasion 😊 Mick and Lesley xx

The tranquil sounds of nature and the stunning night sky create an unforgettable atmosphere to explore Dalyan. During daytime excursions, guests rave about their experiences aboard Princess of Ekincik.
THE BEST BOAT TRIP IN DALYAN From start to finish you're whole day will be epic. Ismail is fantastic, although his wife was not on this trip she is wonderful. We go off Ismail's recommendation on the day, and no doubt wherever you're taken to will be spectacular. The boat itself has plenty of seating and is the most comfortable boat I've ever been on, even the toilet on board beautiful. They have their bar and it's priced the same as town which is cheap, and has all imported spirits. The food, what can I say, I believe Ismails mother cooks the mezes and everything that goes with the bbq meat, and it is ABSOLUTELY delicious. 10/10 we always have the best days on Princess of Ekincik, whether it's a private trip of group, you must go!
Danielle D — Google review
This is our third private boat trip of this fantastic boat. This year (October 2024) we have done Barcardi Bay and Sunset Beach BBQ, firstly Barcardi Bay is stunningly beautiful however due to a number of other boats the Captain Ismil suggested moving on to another location (always trust his judgement) and wow, a fabulous little cove a little further round we had all to ourselves and to paddleboard there was amazing, we had a great time and was relaxing without a noisy party boat in site. I cant even begin to put into words the Sunset Beach BBQ other than do it. Truely beautiful. The food on this boat is fabulous and plentiful, as is the well stockes bar for your leisure. Ismil and Ivona are lovely and take extreme care of you, tending to your every need, in the boat and whilst booking your trips. You will regret not taking a boat trip on the Princess of Ekincik
Allison D — Google review
We had a fabulous day on Princess of Ekincik. Ismail and Ivona were amazing hosts and created a really chilled out atmosphere for the day. The boat was lovely, a joy to be on and not at all crowded, with a small group. We made a number of stops in beautiful locations where you could jump off the boat, relax in the sea, snorkel and even paddle board. It really does feel good for the soul being out at sea. Also, the food was delicious...prepared at home by Ismail's mum. Thanks for an amazing day.

We had an amazing day out with Ismail on his beautiful boat doing the Ekincik bay trip. Boat was spacious and spotlessly clean. Food was delicious and plentiful (including extra treats with the arrival tea/coffee and afternoon fruit/cake). Drinks reasonably priced and friendly efficient service. We loved the paddle board and jumping from the roof too. Highly recommended.

(Translated by Google) We had a wonderful holiday with my wife. The interior of the house was decorated as tastefully as the exterior, but we always spent time by the pool and in the garden. Everything was perfect, the important thing for holiday homes like this is to spend time undisturbed and it really was. Of course, there is the issue of flies, but just as it is a rule of living in the city, nature also has its own rules. Since it is a reedy area and a lakeside area, when it gets dark there are flies for a short time. If precautions are taken, there is no problem. We locked ourselves inside at those hours. Mosquito nets are quite functional in this regard, but we had to be patient and stay inside for 1 hour. You have to stay there, there is no fly problem in windy weather anyway. One wants to enjoy it from sunrise to sunset and all night long. It is very nice to canoe in the mornings of the house. Transportation to the center by bicycle is very convenient and enjoyable. Really nice, clean beach, the dolmus end is cheaper than the boat end. And the turtle hospital is in walking distance.

Very nice, spacious and clean sandy beach. Water is crystal clear and it's shallow for like 20 meters. The only downside was the parasols; they're rather small and don't have great coverage. However the beach is pretty cheap -100 TL for a couple of beds and a parasol - so it's definitely worth it.

Great beach with cafe , toilets, changing etc. entrance is 200TL for the car and 350TL for 2 sunbeds .
Matthew B — Google review
This is our first trip to İztuzu Beach by car, and the journey is quite long. The breathtaking views on the drive to the beach make it worthwhile. The parking lot costs ₺200, and payment is required upon entry. They also provide changing rooms and restrooms. There is a restaurant and tanning area where you can pay ₺165 per person or ₺350 for two wooden sun loungers, or choose a free one on the sand. The beach was extremely crowded. The only thing you have to do when you go swimming in the sea, all you have to do is walk far enough until the water is deep enough. İztuzu Beach is absolutely stunning; unfortunately, we did not get to see any turtles, but we had an enjoyable time. I recommend it purely for the experience.
Inga — Google review
İztuzu Plajı is one of the most beautiful and unique beaches in Turkey. The sand is golden, the water is shallow and warm, and the scenery is amazing with mountains on one side and the river delta on the other. What makes it special is that it’s also a protected nesting area for Caretta Caretta turtles, so it feels like you’re visiting both a beach and a natural reserve. There are no big hotels or loud music, which keeps it peaceful. Best to bring your own snacks and water, and respect the turtle areas. Truly a natural paradise!
Ali T — Google review
One of my favourite in Turkey. Perfectly clean, wise, and beautiful. Dalyan in general is a magic place for a vacation. You can get there by the boat, or by the bus service. It takes around 30 minutes, both ways are enjoyable though, views etc. A lot of empty space, if you walk a little far from the sun lounges. Sandy clean beach, warm clean sea, perfect
Шампан С — Google review
I liked this beach a lot. The fee is not that much (2€ per car, no matter how many people are inside it), there are public toilets and showers (with cold, salty water) and the beach is clean. The water doesn't get deep enough for swimming for more than 50meters which makes it ideally for kids. You can also visit the Turtle Hospital (which is located close to the entrance). There is also shadow under some pine trees, but if you arrive after 10am most probably you will find it already occupied. At times it gets very windy. The restaurant inside has reasonable prices.

The site is free to access and if you bring your hiking boots you can spent a nice afternoon exploring the ruins. Excavations are still ongoing and some parts are harder to find than others. Any fan of ancient history will have fun wandering through olive groves full of pottery shards to find the Roman baths, the forum, theater, ancient port, and so on. And if you have space in your backpack maybe bring some food for the very friendly stray dogs.

It is free to enter and there is free parking available nearby. They have a few cool ruins and its not a far drive from Troy so if youre in the area I highly recommend. Theres also an arch about a 2 min drive away

Smaller but impressive digs than Ephesus but cool to also visit the old harbour, now mostly gone, where the Apostle Paul sailed from and to. Nice little harbour shops

Acts 20:5-12 5 These men, going ahead, waited for us at Troas. 6 But we sailed away from Philippi after the Days of Unleavened Bread, and in five days joined them at Troas, where we stayed seven days. Paul’s Final Visit to Troas 7 On the first day of the week, we gathered with the local believers to share in the Lord’s Supper.[b] Paul was preaching to them, and since he was leaving the next day, he kept talking until midnight. 8 The upstairs room where we met was lighted with many flickering lamps. 9 As Paul spoke on and on, a young man named Eutychus, sitting on the windowsill, became very drowsy. Finally, he fell sound asleep and dropped three stories to his death below. 10 Paul went down, bent over him, and took him into his arms. “Don’t worry,” he said, “he’s alive!” 11 Then they all went back upstairs, shared in the Lord’s Supper,[c] and ate together. Paul continued talking to them until dawn, and then he left. 12 Meanwhile, the young man was taken home alive and well, and everyone was greatly relieved. 2 Corinthians 2:12,13 12 Now when I went to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ and found that the Lord had opened a door for me, 13 I still had no peace of mind, because I did not find my brother Titus there. So I said goodbye to them and went on to Macedonia. 2 Timothy 4:13 13 When you come, be sure to bring the coat I left with Carpus at Troas. Also bring my books, and especially my papers.

Excavations actively continue here. When you go to the main place unfortunately there are not too much to see. However, the ancient site is spreading on a wide area. When you keep driving you'll see different buildings. Also as excavations continue, most of the places are restricted to enter. You may still visit if you have time. However, don't expect too much. It is free to enter as of 2022.

We stopped in the area of the three arches and the immediate surroundings, which were affected by the fire. This allowed us to see more remains, but it was necessary to walk carefully through the bushes so as not to get dirty on the burnt branches.

Definitely underappreciated and undervisited Barely anyone here and perfect for a walk through the ruins. Bring a picnic. Free entry

Beautiful. Especially if you insist to see the whole site. And is free

Stunning views and carved into the cliff sides above the town and looking out over the ocean, the Fethiye Lycian Rock Tombs offer a fascinating glimpse into the city’s ancient past, dating back to 350 BC. The cluster of tombs is crowned with the grand Tomb of Amyntas, thought to be a Lycian ruler or nobleman.

(Translated by Google) It's a nice place named after their mascot, their sweet little dog Lee. A boutique establishment where you can spend peaceful moments in a beautiful garden, in an authentic environment, with tea from a copper teapot and moist cake or toast. On the second floor on the side, there is accommodation for guests in two rooms with double, single and double beds. Motorcycles and accessories can be rented, 24/7 repair and maintenance, etc. road support available. If you visit Dalyan, it is very close to the center. Prices are quite affordable compared to other businesses. Thanks to Mr. Çağatay for his services. Dalyan'a uğrarsanız merkeze çok yakın. Fiyatlar diğer işletmelere göre oldukça uygun. He gave me first aid with his own hands when I was stung by him 💓 he also accepts credit cards 😊 It's impossible to explain, come and meet our sister 💓 (Original) Canımız Nur ablamızın muhteşem işler başardığı motorcu dostu kafe 💓 Fiyatlar inanılmaz uygun, motorunuzu hafif bakımları için teknik bir bölümü var, emanet bırakabileceğiniz kilitli dolaplar var, ekipman ihtiyacınız olursa emanet ekipman desteği var, en güzeli de tatlı sohbet var, hatta ben yolda hain bir arı tarafından sokulunca kendi elleriyle ilkyardımımı yaptı 💓 kredi kartı da kabul ediyor 😊 Anlatmak olmuyor ki, mutlaka gelin tanışın ablamıza 💓

A warm and friendly place. We couldn't try the burger, but as someone who loves toast, it became my go-to place. (Original) Makarna ve Tostlar, içindeki malzemeler çok başarılı.
