Spiaggia di Pescoluse, also known as the Maldives of Salento, is a stunning beach with tranquil turquoise waters and a thin pale shore. It's a terrific spot for swimming and sunbathing, offering clear water and fine sand with a gentle slope into the sea. Located about 40 minutes south of Gallipoli, it's easily accessible with ample free parking available. While the paid umbrella sections can be crowded, there are nearby bars and restaurants for refreshments.
This is one of the most beautiful beach I have ever been to. The water is so clear, the depth increases very gradually. I swam in April 2nd and the water was a comfortable temperature, not warm, but not unpleasant. The plastic garbage is unfortunate, but I guess better that it washes up than stays in the ocean. You will enjoy this beach a lot.

Va very nice beach ended. It is very difficult to find sandy beaches in Puglia. This one is one of them and I think it definitely worth it! They call it "Maldives" ... Of course it's a metaphor. Nothing is like Maldives in terms of beaches. But anyways, if you're a beach person and would like to spend some time on the beach, this one it nice!
Alexandru P — Google review
A wonderful beach, perfect for families with children! The water is crystal clear and shallow, ideal for safe swimming. The beach is clean and well maintained, with both sunbeds and enough free space if you prefer using your own towel or sheet. Peaceful atmosphere, soft sand, and easy access — everything you need for a relaxing day at the sea. Highly recommend it for a family holiday in Salento!
Ștefan M — Google review
Best to go in the morning. During the evening the light doesn’t show the beauty of the place but in the morning it was beautiful. There were a lot of people during the weekend.
Maria A — Google review
there are more beautiful beaches in Salento, but since there are no bad ones, this one deserves also a five star! :D
Martina M — Google review
Personally, I didn't enjoy this beach. There were some weeds floating in the water, too many pushy vendors, and a lot of crowding and noise.
Goran S — Google review
Nice beach with clear whater, good for children also. Nice sand , blue whater
Voda I — Google review
The sea itself is great, but the rest is terrible. Extremely crowded on a Friday in July, no changing rooms and 1 public toilet somewhere in the parking lots for the whole beach. There are plenty good beaches around salento, not worth driving that far to the most crowded one.

SIDEREUS, the 1st Astronomy Park in Salento, is a captivating and educational experience for both adults and children. Vito Lecci, an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, leads visitors through a large park filled with astronomical wonders. The tour includes engaging explanations of stars, moon craters, and constellations. Visitors are treated to an evocative journey with surprises at every turn. The observatory provides a lesson on astronomy followed by telescope observations of the Moon and small meteorites.
Fantastic and friendly experience. Vito is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly has a passion for astronomy which he projects onto visitors.

(Translated by Google) A unique and unforgettable experience, with Vito, who is the embodiment of a man of impressive culture, seasoned with incredible talent, passion, attention to detail, and dedication to a passion that has become his work and his life. The visit followed a step-by-step itinerary, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. The first step was theoretical, to provide specific learning tips on the stars, planets, and so on. Then we moved on to the practical side, at midnight to see the stars: specifically, not just constellations, not just a nebula, but also Saturn!! What can I say... finally, we reached the stage of meteors, shooting stars, and fireballs, first showing us through photos and videos what they were and the effects they produced, and then touching and seeing some ancient and unique fragments. That said, I highly recommend this experience, because every time you see a sky, you will return to this different and special night. And as Vito says, clear skies to everyone!! E come dice Vito, cieli sereni a tutti!!

Papeete Salento Beach is a stunning coastal gem nestled in the picturesque region of Salento, Italy. With its clear turquoise waters and soft white sands, it's a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The beach offers a lively atmosphere without being overly crowded, making it perfect for families with young children. Visitors praise the friendly staff, delicious yet reasonably priced food offerings, and the availability of sun lounges.
Absolutely beautiful location in Pescoluse. Beach was not overly busy and the water was shallow and crystal clear. Great for families with children. Service at the bar was really good. Food was the best we had on our holiday. Prices of everything including the chair and umbrella rentals were very reasonable compared to others in the area. Would highly recommend this private beach club. Looking forward to returning again.

Tony A — Google review
Terrible food and no one cared about the fact that the salad was filled with 99% salad and 1% fish. The hamburgers were terrible as they had carrots in the meat and the bread was made from pita and wasn’t even grilled with no sauce or cheese.

I highly recommend the AGRI BEACH eden Salento lido for swimming with your puppy. The people are friendly, although their English may be limited. The atmosphere is not intrusive. Your dog will enjoy the grassy lounge areas, which are cooler than sand or tiles. It's a good idea to bring water shoes since the water can be rocky.
Absolutely recommend this lido to swim with your puppy. People are friendly (although speak hardly any English when we were there) but not in your face. Our dog loved the grass in the lounge areas, much cooler than sand or tiles. Recommending to bring shoes for going into the water, it's a little rocky. Try the loungers at Bellavista for extra privacy, right at the beach, bring your own food and drinks to make up for the $$ price tag ;)

We're on holiday with our Labrador dog, and it's his first time at the beach. For the first four days, we tried bringing him along, but he could only manage about 20–30 minutes before becoming very agitated. Then we discovered this amazing spot with a dedicated dog area—complete with a gazebo and a private enclosed space where dogs can run freely. We were finally able to stay for half a day without any issues! The service and the location are both fantastic. It truly felt like a dream come true to enjoy the beach with my dog by my side!
Maria P — Google review
I have no idea how I see positive comments about this place. We came with our dog and sat at the sunbed. The owner came with a lot of attitude to tell us this is a private place and we should pay or leave. I told him I saw this online that and wanted to bring my dog to play but he was still rude telling me this is a private property. They charge 35 euros for an umbrella and they don't even have a beach, u have to climb down rocks to get there. Terrible attitude. We sat next door in a very nice beach bar with lovely people instead!
SOTIRIA K — Google review

Spiaggia Marina Di Salve is a 6km stretch of sandy beach in Italy, running from Marina di Salve to Torre Pali. The nests are carefully defended and protected. Crystal clear sea typical of Salento. A spectacle! Nestled in the charming hamlet of Ruggiano, the Santuario di Santa Marina is a captivating destination that showcases unique architecture with its two naves and bipartite facade, mirroring the layout of its interior. This ancient sanctuary has long been a pilgrimage site for those seeking solace and healing. The enchanting frescoes within add to its allure, making it a feast for the eyes.
(Translated by Google) The Sanctuary, located in the Ruggero hamlet of the municipality of Salve in the province of Lecce, is dedicated to the cult of Santa Marina, a Christian martyr beheaded for her faith. The building, built in Lecce stone, was built between the 7th and 10th centuries AD. and in 1648 it underwent numerous restoration interventions. Inside we find numerous frescoes that have been well preserved over time.

(Translated by Google) The Sanctuary Church of Santa Marina is a small jewel of medieval origin, expanded in the 17th century in full Baroque style. The site is clean and well-maintained, but unfortunately, there are no clear indications regarding opening hours and visiting methods: a detail that would make the experience much simpler and more accessible for visitors.

(Translated by Google) I really like visiting the Sanctuary of Santa Marina in the small Ruggiano, a hamlet of Salve a stone's throw from the sea, especially at sunset, when the sun lights up its carparo facade red, the hard Lecce stone with which the buildings were built. Inside there are frescoes of fine workmanship. And if you are lucky, some local residents will tell you about the life of Santa Marina with faith and devotion. Around the Sanctuary there is an extraordinary area to visit: the beaches with desert-coloured sand and the very blue sea, with dunes covered in wild lilies, Torre Pali which has its base entirely in the water and then Posto Vecchio, the Pescoluse and still the village of Salve with a characteristic historic center and the church dedicated to San Nicola Magno, protector of the town. The simple gastronomy with intense flavors is amazing. But what will strike you most is the welcome of the Salvesi, who with great kindness and without ulterior motives, will welcome you as one of their own and will make you want to become inhabitants of the village in all respects.

(Translated by Google) Small sanctuary with rather singular architecture, with 2 naves, with a bipartite facade that reflects the articulation of the internal spaces. The story of the Saint after whom the Church is named, an ancient pilgrimage destination for the sick in search of grace, is very fascinating. The internal frescoes are lovely. Historical landmark
Nestled near the historic Palazzo Carida-Ramirez, Frantoio Ipogeo "Le Trappite" stands as a remarkable testament to the deep-rooted connection between the Apulians and their land. This underground oil mill, meticulously carved into rock, showcases ancient methods of producing olive oil—often referred to as Puglia's liquid gold.
(Translated by Google) Superb Trappit. In fact it is a cave in which the inhabitants made olive oil. The cave being temperate allowed better conservation of oils and the fact of manufacturing (what the inhabitants considered gold because it was rare and expensive) in a cave allowed them to protect their wealth from thieves and invaders. A must see. You can like or rate the comment if it helped or pleased you. Thank you and have a good visit (Original) Superbe Trappite. A voir absolument.
