For a museum in a midsize city, I was pretty impressed by the quality of the collection. It’ll take a good 3 to 4 hours if you decide to see the entire museum. If you focus on a sub genre, you could probably do it in an hour and a half. Definitely worth a stop if you have any interest in art. Surprisingly good collection of impressionists that you have heard of as well as impressionist that you haven’t. That was my biggest positive surprise of the day, and I’m really glad that I went.

What makes Mia even more impressive is the quality and variety of the exhibits – everything from ancient artifacts and Asian art to modern masterpieces and local work. The galleries are well-organized, beautifully curated, and surprisingly expansive. You could easily spend several hours wandering through and still have more to see on your next visit. And yes, it’s completely free to visit, which is honestly incredible for a museum of this caliber. Donations are encouraged but not required, making art and culture truly accessible to everyone. The Minnesota Institute of Art is truly a cornerstone of Minnesota’s cultural and artistic scene — easily one of the top art museums in the U.S.! Their Asian art section is especially impressive, with thoughtfully curated collections that showcase incredible depth and beauty. We always look forward to their rotating special exhibits, and this year’s Cambodian Art of the Divine was absolutely outstanding. The colossal sculpture of the Hindu god Vishnu, a Cambodian national treasure, was breathtaking to see up close. Every visit feels like a celebration of art, culture, and community — it’s wonderful to run into familiar faces and share the joy of discovery with fellow art lovers. MIA is truly a gem of Minnesota!

The Minneapolis Institute of Art is an absolute treasure. The fact that admission is free makes it even more incredible given the scale and quality of the collection. The museum is clean, well-organized, and staff are welcoming and helpful. Special exhibits do sometimes have a fee, but they’re worth it—always thoughtfully curated and impressive. Parking is pretty easy, and it’s accessible by public transit too. You could easily spend several hours here, and still feel like there’s more to explore. This is my dream museum. It’s so vast, we came twice in one week and barely made it through a whole floor. Fantastic painting section. Lovely staff. And it’s free ?! Unbelievable. The parc in the back is also lovely…

Absolutely loved visiting to the Minneapolis Institute of Art! The museum is stunning, well-organized, and filled with an incredible range of exhibits, from classic paintings to modern installations. Every gallery feels thoughtfully curated, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We walked through the nearby sculpture garden, which was a perfect complement to the visit. There’s a lot of walking involved, so wear comfortable shoes, but it’s totally worth it for the art, the views, and the peaceful atmosphere. It’s one of those places where you can easily spend a few hours and still feel like there’s more to explore. Highly recommend for anyone who loves art, history, or just a great day out in Minneapolis!

I’ve been here a few times. This is one of my favorite museums I’ve ever been too. We spent three hours here and only managed to view the third floor viewing various period rooms, architecture and design, impressionist, neoclassic, modern contemporary, rococo style art. We could have spent the entire day here, had we not had other plans. We walked and grabbed food nearby and ate at the cute little park across the street. The area we grabbed food from was a little sketchy and there were no public restrooms, even at the McDonald’s. So if you’re traveling, use the museum bathrooms before heading out to grab food!

It was a Monday, so the museum itself was not open, so my review applies to the outdoor sculptures. I loved them. It’s nice to see art outside too! I liked the famous cherry, but was disappointed that one could not get closer although I understand why. Among my favourites was the driftwood horse, the interesting swing that you were allowed to try, the blue rooster, and of course, the native American language tribute… I loved how interactive it was. Firstly, you could walk it like a maze, but secondly, also because of being able to scan a link and find out what the words were. It was very inspiring and touching. I wish I understood the language to understand the testimonials. If there was one suggestion, I could make it would be to have outdoor facilities there available for the public year-round… We had to leave early because one in our party needed to take care of their needs and the bathrooms near the baseball field. Were closed for the season, and since the museum itself was closed, there was no other options close by.

I've been wanting to come to this museum for a while! I went here after a nice brunch in the area, and love every second of it. Beautiful art. Quiet place! If you have EBT you have free entry. There is a parking ramp with a charge of $8. A amazing place and I definitely recommend. Someone took the time to explain the museum to us, and where everything is. Offered our kiddo a pencil and paper to write and color on. Told us about the kid areas around the museum where you can have a quit stop with your kiddo to color. You absolutely cannot touch the art! There was a worker who almost grabbed our kiddo when he touched an art piece, which was the only con. Overall everything was good.

The outdoor sculpture garden is great and completely free. The exhibits at the Walker shift so it feels like a new experience each time. The restaurant Cardamom was excellent!

Walker Art Center: Come for the cherry spoon, stay for the existential dread. So, I went to the Walker Art Center—famous for its bold, weird, and deeply "what am I looking at?" kind of art. And let me just say: mission accomplished. I walked in expecting inspiration. I walked out needing a hug, a snack, and possibly a support group. Most of the exhibits leaned heavily into themes of abuse, sex, or historical atrocities. And while I fully respect the importance of truth-telling through art, I didn’t expect to feel like I was walking through a visual trauma minefield. I wanted to be moved, not emotionally steamrolled. There were a few pieces that did catch my eye—but by the time I saw them, I was too emotionally numb to appreciate them, much less take a photo. Honestly, it felt less like an art experience and more like a dare. "Bet you won’t make it to the end without losing faith in humanity." BUT there was one bright spot—an interactive section where visitors could draw something meaningful and explain why. I loved that! The coloring pencils were so dull you could use them as stress sticks, but I got resourceful and carved some life out of them with my nails (yes, I arted like a gremlin). Then I went home and recreated my doodle digitally, because my soul needed closure. And let’s not forget the real MVP: the outdoor sculptures. The iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry is still amazing. So amazing, in fact, that my boyfriend and I came back a second time before leaving. It’s whimsical, it’s weird, and best of all—it didn’t scream historical despair at me. Would I go back? Maybe… but only on a free night, and only after a pep talk.

If you are a fan of modern art, the Walker is a must visit, but even if you are not a fan, do yourself the favor and just walk through the outside exhibits. They are always thought provoking and the view of the Basilica and downtown Minneapolis is hard to beat.

Lovely experience to just walk through the galleries and see some nice art. Spacious, accesible, never felt crowded. Make sure to go on the free Thursday nights for extra bang for your buck!

Very nice if you are interested in the modern art. Possible to spend time outside as well. I am happy to be able visit there.

Yay! The bridge is finally open! I took my family for a walk there recently, and we had a great time enjoying the views of the city, the waterfall, and the natural surroundings. Parking was easy to find. There’s a lot available, as well as street parking on both sides of the bridge.

This beautiful historical landmark pedestrian bride is a part of the St Anthony Falls Heritage Trail. I recommend taking a stroll on the whole trail. Its only 1.8 miles and clearly marked.

This is a nice place to walk to and they have several signs along the way giving you a bit of the history as well as there is a audio you can upload and listen to.

We absolutely adored this museum (and I am really not a museum lover). We loved the quirky introduction Video that gave an overview of the city throughout the years and how the flour mill fit into the economic growth of the city. All of the “artifacts” were so nostalgic and brought back so many fun memories of days gone by! Our kids 17, 14 & 11 loved all of the interactive activities (not just cool for little kids). My daughter and I loved putting together the large wooden block puzzle. The highlight though is the tower tour…think Tower of Terror without the drop and the terror haha! It was set up in a similar fashion with nostalgic scenes of the flour mill how it would have looked in its prime and also people’s accounts/voices that actually worked there, sharing their memories! It was so intriguing! Do not hesitate going to this museum! It was such a fun and unique experience.

We had a way better time than we expected. The elevator guided part of the tour was neat, good information. Great views of the falls, river and stone arch bridge from the observation deck. Enjoyed seeing the history and learning a bit about the flour milling process. No complaints and the street parking was simple, paid $5 I think for 2 hours, which was plenty to do the museum.

Fun museum with lots to look at and an amazing viewing deck. The elevator tour was quirky and enjoyable, only running about 10 minutes long, leaving lots of time to explore the rest of the museum. Everyone working there was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I'll definitely be back!

This was a good museum. I especially liked the elevator tour. You travel up and down the building in an elevator to see the different floors and hear stories of what it was like to work in the mill through recordings of actual workers. The view from the top floor is excellent.

I've been twice, once with a friend when we took the more in-depth tour of the mill, and then as a chaperone for a class of first graders. From grinding and sifting wheat to exploring the force of water from the falls, their hands-on exhibits are very kid friendly and interesting for adults, too! And the walking tour was very well done. Learning about the history, the economic impact, and the tragedies through what is left of the original mill's machinery and facilities is meaningful. The view of the river from the 9th floor deck is the cherry on top.

Very good museum with some wonderful views of the Mississippi River. Be sure to take the elevator to the top for the views. The inside displays explain the history of the area and about the flour powerhouses of their time. Well worth several hours of time to visit.

Great experience for first visit for 2025 Christmas Carol. Actors/artists were very good. But the audio is not very clear if you don’t have the headset if the artists are speaking dialogues to the opposite side. But else the evening was wonderful.

We went to see the Cabaret and I was blown away! I loved all of it! Such an auspicious message. Well done play, gorgeous venue. My only complaint is the upper deck was closed, at the end of the "arm", ( the amazing cantilevered extension on the building overlooking the river)

The staff was helpful and professional and their August 2025 production of Cabaret was life changing! We’ve come back to see it a second time and it was just as magnificent.

Cabaret was an incredible show! The caliber of the cast, singing, dancing, emotional expression, accents, costumes, set design, everything was fantastic. What a musical! So timely and sobering!

Saw "Primary Trust" with my wife. We both laughed so much but cried about as much. A play that truly celebrates humans at play in a play. A love letter to Black men and men in general who spend a lot of time in solitude. I am incredibly grateful to Guthrie Theater for featuring such heartful stories. I'm also a fan of the building, itself. I love this place, for real, and can't wait to see more shows. This was my second time there and I finally remembered to leave a review.

I had the honor of photographing this beautiful wedding at the Guthrie theater and it was such an awesome spot to host a wedding! The location has so many nearby spots for photos and also the staff is truly amazing, I couldn't recommend them more! I look forward to photographing there again!

We saw Cabaret this time. Like always we enjoyed the show. Before the show we went up to the 9th level to the yellow observation area. Always love going to the shows here

Great place to walk, relax, and think. Or, get out of your head if that’s what you need. The garden has a few benches and some great photo opportunities to take advantage of. Follow the path and you can see all the sculptures in 60-90 minutes at a slow walking pace spending a few minutes for each sculpture. Street parking meters are here and you can also get to park in the garage across the street if you drive in. If you journal, this is a great place to think on paper.

I had a great time visiting here with my mom and I totally recommend going and making sure you reserve enough time. It is a pleasant walk and a lot to do around it besides the garden. I won’t give any spoilers, but here are a few thoughts I found some artwork pretty amazing, Like the Horse, or Saint Laurence chapel made with recycled material…and some pieces I didn’t understand at all haha. All pieces are decently signed and have cool background information I will risk being publicly lame here, those stones with metal look like tooth with old amalgamated filling lol PS: there are way too many pics of the cherry, i won’t post another one

Beautiful and interesting walk and not crowded on a Thursday morning. I didn't know the Cherry was a fountain and the ducks were, as always, little cuties. Love the blue & yellow Bridge as I've driven under it many times thinking, I gotta get up there! Loved it.

Had some free time on our trip and wanted to find something free to do in the area. Once we figured out the parking situation (you do have to pay for parking, but it isn't bad), we set off to explore the gardens. Beautiful and fun for all ages!

We got engaged here on Friday Oct. 17th, 2025 at the bottom of the stairs that come from the blue and yellow bridge. We walked across as boyfriend/girlfriend and crossed back over as a newly engaged couple. We love this place. The sculptures are all fantastic and now we have extra precious memories here forever.

It is a very charming and beautiful area that reflects the artistic and friendly nature of this city I have grown to appreciate. It’s probably best enjoyed in the evenings, at least for me. Definitely a must-see when visiting the area.

A great way to spend a breezy summer afternoon. Lots of tucked away art work to intrigue as you walked the paths. Lots of opportunities for pictures, to sit, and gaze. Not a lot of noise or traffic. Very enjoyable.

This is a bit of a hidden gem of a museum that ois on the UMinn campus. It is FREE, for one thing! It has a really fun facade that makes it one of more unique buildings in the Cities and certainly on campus. There is a fun Cities concept exhibit that talks about you can think of different City concepts than the norm, and it has an interesting sky way map in the downtown Minneapolis. A variety of classic and modern-ish art displays. A great reason Togo to campus and then explore a very beautiful campus as well!

PROS: Worthy and relevant example of great contemporary architecture. Fine urban relations to be explored and discovered. CONS: limited visit hours. Extremely difficult to observe from the surrounding, largely due to the U. of Minnesota’s public access restrictions to its buildings across the bridge on the opposite side of the Mississippi River.

I'm honestly not much of an art museum fan. But I do enjoy unusual architecture and this building piqued my interest. Plus, it is free admission. There were a few exhibits/pieces that I found interesting. The location is also nice for some photos being by the river and a pedestrian bridge. I didn't stay too long so street parking was good enough for me.

If you are going directly to the museum and parking in the garage please not it is paid parking. It is in the middle of the university campus. The building itself is a work of art. It is a free museum which is nice and it may take an hour+ to walk through. I'm not well versed in art but there were several large pieces that had to do with feminism and African American history so it was nice to see it displayed.

My husband works the food truck All square and the family comes out to celebrate the Vikings and to give our 5 year old son who is dealing with mental challenges a chance to be surrounded with the Vikings fans and to see the fun and love everyone brings. His so In love with the Vikings even though we're from new Orleans. He has even made his on Go Vikings song. One day, he wishes to go to a game but first, we have to get it to the point he is clam so he can sit through and watch it. We all had such an amazing day on Sunday.

First time visiting Target Field and we had a blast. Start with parking, so easy. Parked in Ramp B and walked right into the park. Love the layout and the vibe and smell of brats cooking was everywhere! The staff was very helpful and friendly, just the way it should be. Great views from our seats. We'll definitely be coming back!

Recently went to a Twins game while I was in town. Loved the stadium which has a cozy, hometown feel. The videographers did a great job of capturing the game and keeping the fans entertained. Not a bad seat in the place. Food was great and options are plentiful.

Always a great experience! There’s a fantastic variety of food options and plenty of bars, making it the perfect place to meet up and catch up with friends. Parking is convenient with Ramps A, B, and C just a short walk away. Entry and exit are smooth thanks to the multiple gates, so lines never feel overwhelming. One of my favorite spots is the Truly On Deck bar. It has a spacious indoor area with plenty of seating available when you purchase food or drinks—great atmosphere and views!

What an amazing arena, with wonderful vibes. Although things can be pricey, so to cautious or full! Many food stands, and many drink options. Had an amazing time with our kids. They have a family section where they don’t not permit alcohol drinks in the area, so I truly loved that. Many beautiful views. Nice music and good game! GO TWINS!

Very nice stadium 1st base side was completely covered when gates opened. Field boxes were amazing. Food was good prices were average. Would definitely recommend. We even had a lounge for the box seats.

Excellent field to catch a game at! We have been to the stadium multiple times with a variety of seats and all have had great views. This weekend we had third base dugout seats for Friday with access to the third base lounge which was very clean, easy to access, and had great food with a variety of options and a full service bar. Saturday we sat in section 138 in right field with great views and multiple food vendors right by us. A great option at Target Filed is the ability to bring in your own food and a 32 ounce bottled nonalcoholic beverage. We chose the subunit cup which we got to refill the whole game and we certainly got our monies worth. We did purchase alcoholic beverages and they we the same cost we pay at any other concert or sporting event so we went prepared for the cost. They did have 612 day as we were there on a Saturday and it was a great value for drinks, snacks and a hot dog. They offer many cost points for all families so if you are looking for something fun to do in the summer I highly recommend a Twins game at Target Field. We did get the pleasure of watching Nelly in the post game Friday night and see Buxton hit 4 the cycle on Sat! We arrived early and got the Buck Truck Bobble head. Great weekend, great venue!

My son and I spent a beautiful day here! It's absolutely breath taking from the beautiful waterfall to the sounds of the rushing water. So peaceful, like free therapy and just what I needed. The park is enormous and boast a pavilion with a restaurant with wonderful food and drinks. It also had a huge grassy area for just relaxing in a chair or on a blanket. The only bad things I have to say is, I don't live closer so I can be here every day. It's absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I highly highly recommend.

Nice outlook at a nice fall! Parking is very close. Trails are great. I walked down to the Mississippi River and three different kind of squirrels. Great historical place where President Johnson visited and the first settler in Minneapolis.

Minnehaha Falls is always a great stop for anyone visiting the area. It is peaceful and scenic with the incredible power of the falls. This year (2025) has been great with a nice amount of rainfall all year, even late in the year it is still going strong.

My husband and I visited at the end of September. Parking and payment was done with ease. The park is beautiful and dog friendly! A beautiful walk amongst friendly people. It’s so nice to find so much beauty in the city

Minnehaha Falls is a lush, verdant park. There is an appropriate balance between man made structures and natural beauty. Many trails are very steep for less able walkers, but there are plenty of flat trails to suffice. I love all the stairs personally. The park is very clean and well maintained, with bathrooms and garbages typically nearby. There’s a myriad of different locations for picnics, whether it be right on the flat ground above the falls, at picnic tables closer to the sidewalks by the falls overlook, at the restaurant in the park, or down below and the water hole/river area that the path leads individuals to. There’s so much to do at the park, whether it be eating at the Sea Salt restaurant, going to Art In The Park, attending the annual Nami walk, dipping your toes in the river, hiking, running, doing stairs workouts, riding bike, riding the provided electric scooters, grabbing a drink at the restaurant or little bar on the other side of the restaurant, seeing live music, taking your kids to the playground installed, fishing in the Mississippi, the list goes on. Minnehaha Falls is a must visit location.

A twin cities destination point that has excellent natural ionic energy as the water tumbles down in the warm months and freezes beautifully in the winter months! Warning; it is off limits to go behind the Minnehaha falls!! Do not attempt it is very dangerous!

I had no idea that the museum would be of an actual home. The woodwork was simply amazing. We could freely walk the house to almost all areas. We had a blast and we loved the gift shop as well.

Amazing! You’d never know this building was such a gem inside. Definitely worth a visit. The detailed carved woodwork is phenomenal throughout the entire home. The fireplaces & numerous ceramic stoves were breathtaking. Even the pantry was admirable. We also enjoyed learning about the MSP Swedish community in the 1800s -early 1900s, including the nursing school exhibit. The Institute also offers educational & research materials of Swedish culture. There is a sweet children’s play area and lovely gift shop. Available for small weddings and events. A cafe is onsite with beverages and sweets. Very surprising the original owners who had the mansion built, did not live in the house long, but their lives were dedicated to supporting the Swedish community in the region…& with their home, for years to come!

An absolutely beautiful place to visit! The Turnblad Mansion is stunning, every room reflects rich Swedish heritage and craftsmanship. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, and our tour guide, Cathy, was amazing — engaging, knowledgeable, and made the experience even more memorable.

Gorgeous estate, an absolute treasure. We waited to visit until they had the Christmas decor up, and that added even more through the accessories and the tomte tales that are fun for all ages. The gift shop is wonderful to walk through, with a large number of books as well as Swedish foods, linens, and outdoor and indoor items. On a short side note, as I have a full separate review, the Fika Cafe is a great stop!

Visited on 7.1.2025. BRAVO and KUDOS to Michela and Jennifer for proving me with a Spectacular experience while touring the interior rooms of the mansion. There are not enough words to describe how stunning this place is and no picture can capture the magnitude of the beauty of it. Highly Recommend to anyone traveling through Minneapolis!

My fiance and I had both come here to experience the rich culture that the museum had to offer. The mansion was incredible to explore. The staff is extremely friendly as well. We had an amazing time exploring and learning about the art, culture, and variety of rooms that there were. The music that is weaved into the history there was nice too. They had two beautiful pianos there to see, though you can't play them without advanced permission, so if you'd like to preform do contact them ahead of time. We did have an odd experience in the top floor where the uniforms are displayed next to a wooden sculpture. My fiance sings opera. when she sang some of the songs that were used for the women there, one song in particular. I noticed a white mist in the hallway that seemed to zip by twice. Unless they have a fire alarm or something installed up there, and someone was smoking a vape, or a candle was going. I'm also sure we were the only ones on the top floor at the time. I also noticed while she was reading the sheet music and singing along to a track, that the uniforms moved in the case. I'm not sure if they have a device that makes it do that, but it did move. Wasn't creepy, it was like someone had come to listen. All in all though an amazing experience, highly recommended.

Such a beautiful place and rich with history. The four stars is because some of the staff are over the top political and overbearing as you tour the house. Also, one tour guides kept making fun of Downton Abbey and all those who like the show, explaining that this house was nothing like Downton Abbey and he was tired of the comparisons. Amazing how one person can just take everything down a notch. The play area on the lower level is amazing for kids and you have to visit the Norse Saga room!!

We went to a Vikings and Eagles game. We had a good time. This was our first time to this new stadium. It is built and laid out really well. Lots of bathrooms and lots of places to get something to eat. We parked about 10 minutes walk away. Parking was about $35 since it was event parking.

First time at the new stadium and it’s a big upgrade from the previous. Easy entry. Not far to walk from the entrance to the seating area. They have specific parking lots for each entrance and when you buy a ticket they tell you what entrance is best for you specifically. That was amazing. Parking is still expensive and so are tickets but if I’m talking about the stadium alone 5/5. Sounded great also! Went for McCartney (2025).

I visited U.S. Bank Stadium on October 19 to watch the Vikings take on the Eagles, it was an unforgettable experience. The stadium is absolutely stunning, from the outside the architecture alone is a sight to see, modern and impressive with sleek lines and a bold presence. Inside, the natural daylight pouring through the roof makes the whole space feel open and vibrant, adding to the excitement of game day. One thing that stood out was how well-designed the stadium is for fans. There were plenty of bathrooms and tons of places to grab food and beer, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable without long waits or hassle. But the best part of all? Being a Vikings fan in that sea of purple. Nothing beats joining in on the SKOL chant and hearing the Gjallarhorn echo through the stadium, it truly gives you chills. It’s a moment that makes you feel like part of something huge. U.S. Bank Stadium exceeded my expectations in every way, and I can’t wait to be back. SKOL! 🏈💜

We went for a Vikings game (shocking I know). The vibe at the games is unmatched. It’s such a fun experience. Most concessions take card only, so be aware of that. I never felt too hot or too cold during the game. The views are great, no matter your seat. Parking is a mess, as you’d expect. I’d recommend parking a few blocks away to try to get away from traffic and not pay an arms and a leg. Just walk it. You’ll be fine. Be ready to walk, the stadium is huge and it with the crowds it can take a while to get around. If you have the chance to go to a game, it’s definitely worth it.

US Bank Stadium is one of the best venues ive had the opportunity to go to hands down! There is NO bad seat in that house! I've been to 2 Vikings home games, 1 game in the 100 section and my second game in the 300 section higher up than 100 but STILL a great fan experience!

As a Bears fan, I find it ironic that the Vikings stadium is on Chicago st.....besides that, the stadium is amazing and I can't wait to see what Kevin Warren will do in Chicago. The fans were very cool which might be because of the loss. But the fans in the pictures were pure football fans and showed nothing but class. They even offered a Coors.

A very beautiful stadium in the heart of downtown. Close to many attractions and places to eat. Looks totally different from day time to night time. Also see the Viking ship in front by the Legacy doors . Such a unique stadium. Definitely worth a trip to see it.

We ate at the Moroccan spot. We came just before closing but the cooks were so kind to us. They gave us a tasting platter of their sides and free mint teas for no extra charge! On top of that the food was so rich and very delicious. We just had the chicken couscous and it was perfectly filling. I would love to come back here to sample all the other spots here. Great environment.

Nice variety of food. There is a small Mediterranean grocery inside too. They have live music on Saturday too. Ample parking. 2$ per hr. Highly recommended the Moroccan food.

I love this place! Kinda busy to get to (driving down lake I mean) but the place is so neat We stopped for a little bit of open mic (just listening not performing) and got some food. There is literally something for everyone here. Don't forget about the ramp on the east side. Free parking for the first hour with validation! Go eat some food and absorb some culture! I normally enjoy this place. But the the trash outside today was ridiculous. Inside was decent, but I had 2 separate homeless people beg me for money as I was eating. This was not a big deal, but I am watching security watching this guy. They just let him walk around and beg inside?

We were there for a wedding. Our first time inside the church. It is very beautiful and the stained glass windows are gorgeous. It was hard to access, with no clear signage to properly direct you to the appropriate entrance. A number of entrances were locked down or exit only, I assume due to security issues. Parking can be an issue as well. Because we were unfamiliar, there may have been another alternative for parking that was off the primary site.

This is unquestionably one of the most beautiful churches I’ve been inside in any recent time. This is surpassed only by the Cathedral of Saint Paul. Seeing so many depictions of our Blessed Mother brought me to tears!

Came here on Oct.31 2025 for a luminescent with the story of Basilca of Saint Mary Church. Beautiful just beautiful lighting with a choir and orchestra. Telling the story of the church. Oh my how beautiful that was. They are fundraising to help restore and continue to restore this beautiful church. This event is a fundraiser and tickets price can be about $50. Its going for a good cause. But the luminescent event was wonderful and beautiful..I would go again..No regrets!!! The show will go until the New year..check it out. Xoxo in Minneapolis MN.

Our oldest son was married here and it was the most beautiful ceremony. The church is amazing and beautiful. A very reverent place for the sacrament of marriage. I know you can tour it, I will go back and tour it someday. It’s so amazing. They have a holy door.

Light show 100%. Narrative Audio aweful!! Choir—-12 people… good vocals but not choir worthy for cathedral size. All in all… not emotionally moving!! Won’t go again… except to mass.

Fort Snelling State Park is an interesting spot if you happen to be in the Twin Cities. Tucked away near the rivers, it offers a chance to step out of the city chaos and into nature for a walk or hike. You’ll find peaceful trails, wildlife, and a unique setting where history and nature meet. While there’s no camping within this park, other state parks and campgrounds are close by, making it a nice day stop if you’re exploring the area.

This was an amazing discovery. It certainly played a part in history. I suggest you check on times of tours so you don’t have to wait. Out of all the forts that we have e visited I never have seen the basement or the cooks quarters. It’s also attached to an amazing park with trails. Definitely can make a day of it.

July 2 2025 Beautiful day to learn about history. Barely anyone else there. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and compassionate. The golf cart ride from the visitor center to the historic building very much appreciated, definitely helped us save our energy to be able to walk around in the heat and the drivers were great conversationalist. We didn’t have to wait in any lines or for anything. Easy breezey visit.

Fort snelling was very interesting. I've seen a lot of forts and military places. This one's unique. Not only the way it was designed. But where it was how it was used. Really interesting.

Honestly it doesn’t look as pretty as the pictures I saw before. The bushes in the surrounding are high and doesn’t seem to be well taken care. I come on Wednesday when Google said open but it was actually closed. It’s really hard to see the beauty & the story when you can’t get inside

Interesting place, historic fort. There are countless miles of gorgeous hiking & biking trails.

Fort Snelling was much more interesting than I expected. Although four of the building were original, the reconstructed buildings really enhanced the story about how people lived in the fort. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us insights into how a fort from this timeframe was designed and used. Make sure to take a tour. The museum as interesting displays and the building is beautiful. I was surprised the Fort was used to train MIS troops during WWII. I took the Blue Line and walked about a mile to the Fort. It wasn't as far as I thought and there were interesting things to see along the way but it might be long for someone that isn't used to walking.

Joshua Ray Walker was outstanding! The venue is small but I was glad to discover the sound wasn't out of control. I like that there are bleacher seats against the back wall if you didn't want to stand.

Grateful for such an amazing music venue for so many decades. Have to say really, really love how it has evolved under the ownership and direction of Dayna Frank.

Cool little venue! Attended a Matt Maeson concert and tickets were sold out well in advance. We skipped the opener and arrived about 45m after showtime. There was a small line out the door as they checked IDs. There were two people checking IDs. One guy came and checked ours and gave us our wristbands while the lady at the front checking was overly chatty and we continued to wait. She talked much she forgot she asked for their IDs again and she forgot she had already checked their IDs. That was my only complaint. The venue was tiny and PACKED. There was a coat check area when you walk in. The venue is tiny and was PACKED with people stuffed in all the way to the entrance. There was just a sliver of space at the bar for people to grab drinks. The bartenders were quick and provided friendly service. We made it to the middle of the floor and there were stairs to go to a second level. People were packed standing on the stairs as well. Great views and acoustics. Someone passed out during the show and security was quick to come in and get him out. Leaving was pretty quick and efficient as well, despite the amount of people leaving.

Overall, I had a great experience at this venue. It’s on the smaller side, which creates an intimate atmosphere and makes it easier to get a good view—especially with the stage being higher than average. That elevation really helped with visibility, even from further back in the crowd. It did get very warm inside, but I appreciated that staff handed out bottled water to the front of the crowd—definitely a thoughtful touch. The sound quality was excellent throughout the night, and they did a great job switching stage setups quickly between bands. During the breaks, they lowered a screen that played a loop of upcoming shows—nice for planning future visits, though the loop did get a little repetitive after a while. My only real complaint is the slanted edge at the front rail on the floor—it’s awkward to stand on and pretty uncomfortable after a while. If you’re heading for a spot on the rail, be prepared for some uneven footing.

Amazing venue! Wonderful and kind staff, especially Jeremiah!! The sound was fantastic for the Matt Maeson (with opening band Wells Ferrari) show 10/18/25. An experience I will cherish.

Went to see the iconic building and the stars along its exterior. Amazing the people who have played here. Close to a beautiful mural of Prince.

Visited First Avenue for the Tycho show with Brijean - we had a great experience at this venue. Plenty of parking options available within close proximity. The venue is standing room only with standing room available on the main floor and balcony (with a few options to lean against some railings, if needed, on a first come first serve basis). There's a bar on both the main floor and balcony for drinks (bottled water available too). Bathrooms available on the second floor (not sure if there are any on the first floor too); coat check available too. I love that this venue uses AXS for ticketing too. The venue itself had some cool merch & gift options which help support this awesome place. So cool to walk around the outside of the building to look at all the stars of the bands that have played there over the years plus a purple star inside in the balcony area to commemorate Prince's filming Purple Rain there too - so much amazing history here plus this venue runs like a well-oiled machine. Amazing show at an amazing venue. Highly recommend seeing a show here if you can!

Alot to choose from! They have awesome Tamales! My mother bought one also and she thought there was a piece of hair in one, but it was a piece of the TUSK!!! 😂 THAT was embarrassing! But they were very friendly and would recommend this place for all your needs, they have everything! The chicken Tamales I will go back for!!!!!! So delicious!!!

It’s like Mexico in a tiny mall ;) it’s really tiny but don’t let the size scare you because they have everything here as if you’ll go fly into Mexico 🇲🇽 There are tiny shops snd tiny restaurants that serve authentic Mexican dishes. There is no reason to not try some authentic Mexican food by the people who know how to make it. This is a great place to socialize and on Saturday and Sunday you’ll find the place buzzing with people who are shopping or eating at the front court. Give it a try and you’ll not be disappointed.

If you that nationality it's a great place, but they seem to look at me super hateful when I shop there. But they do have a beautiful selection of items that would be hard to find in local businesses

Lots of small shops, including half a dozen food venders, bakery, florist, convenience store, clothing, and more. Order food at a window then sit down in a dining area. Helps if you know some Spanish, but you can get by without it.

I really love Mercado Central. I’ve been visiting for years. It’s been cool to see how many places have gotten their start in the Mercado and eventually expanded their business to needing their own space elsewhere. I think it’s a great asset to the community and it is a really pretty building in an area where the city leadership doesn’t seem to be investing. I love the food court. Very pleasant lake to go for a bike ride walk jog or go boating on. Although within the past four years, the area has gotten a little bit sketchy, but still not too bad.

Wow, there is a bike lane, and a running /walking sidewalk, we went to the south beach , it's a tiny beach but pretty nice, kindda cold but it's worth it there is bouys so you know where to stop at.

A personal favorite in a city with several fabulous lakes and trail systems. Lake Harriet offers music and movies at the Bandshell, great food and service at Bread & Pickle, watercraft rental, two large swimming beaches, fishing docks, and a wonderful playground, rose garden, bird sanctuary, and streetcar line just off the lake. Magical in any season.

Felt mostly safe while during sunset walking from 3955 walkway to the rose garden. Beautiful view and very relaxing

I had heard about Lake Harriet from a friend and wanted to visit from a long time ! So I finally went there last week..it’s so beautiful around .3 miles of walking trail around the lake.bcoz the weather was a little humid we couldn’t walk much . While we were waiting for the band to start , we came across this trolley ride and I was so excited to be on it . Well that was fun . But when we reached back around 7:30 for concert , for some reason it was canceled.I would love to go there for concert and that walk around the lake!

One of my favorite places in Minneapolis! There used to be six natural islands near the falls and a natural waterfall... and Native Americans.

There are upper and lower falls. Pretty year round but best in fall and at sumrise and sunset. Informational and historical signs are good.

Great place to take a walk on the bridge and a good view. Highly recommended. You can spend two hours easily looking around.

This place truly has something for everyone. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area, and looking for a museum that touches on a number of the sciences. I really enjoyed the gardens and architecture of the site. Maddie at the front desk was super friendly!

We did an event at this museum. It was fantastic. The staff was amazing to work with. They were accommodating and willing to help to achieve a successful event. Maggie even ran an errand for me. Chris was spectacular to coordinate the arrangement and flow of attendees at my event. I would never hesitate to rebook and event here. Also the caterer was wonderful too. The food was amazing! The Bakken Museum is a treasured venue that sits on a hill overlooking Bde Maka Ska (formerly known as Lake Calhoun). The former West Winds mansion with a slate roof and Gothic architecture was purchased by engineer and inventor Earl Bakken who invented the pacemaker and was a co-founder of Medtronic. The museum appeals to all ages and has fun and educational interactive displays. A favorite display is the Frankenstein Room. There is also a collection of pacemakers from the earliest to the most recent technology. Millions of heart patients around the world have benefitted from pacemakers. My uncle was one of the first recipients; my dad, age 92, has a longer life expectancy because of receiving a pacemaker. The museum doubles as a venue for social events (weddings, anniversaries, company parties, etc). Amenities abound: beautiful gardens with medicinal plants; a koi pond; huge terrace; a leafy gazebo; interior spaces suited for dining and dancing; a view of the lake.

This place is awesome! What a fun little museum tucked away in residential SW Mpls in an old Tudor-style mansion. Our two young boys had a great time running around and learning about electricity and Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein. The next day our 5 year old asked if we could go again. Good thing we live nearby!

very scenic terrain! it’s just the perfect place for morning runs. You’ll see some rusty factory foundation-ruins (very industrial core) and maybe a wedding shoot or two. Just don’t fall in the river, the rocks are shifty and not the most stable. flour enthusiasts MUST visit this place. 4/5 despite the vibes carrying; I got chased by a goose here, twice.

Cute spot to visit if you’re traveling to MINNEAPOLIS! You can read some history about the bill and see the falls. 💦 If you enjoy running or biking there are plenty of people doing just that! 🚴 If you’re planning on a quick looksey, I recommend the lowest amount of time on the paid parking lot!

I had limited time to walk from US Bank Stadium to Target field but I really wanted to walk along the Mississippi River. Amazing views and kind of solemn viewing of the old industry.

Exception destination for locals & visitors alike, with the Stone Arch Bridge as a key attraction, along with the majestic falls on one side, and the legacy 35W bridge on the other.

It was really interesting to explore a tangible piece of history along the river. Definitely worth a visit.

Love the urban views, the old buildings, new buildings, the bridges, the river, the stone, trees, it’s one of my favorite places to walk.

A great series of parks and trails. There really is something for everyone, from volleyball and swimming at Wirth Lake to wildlife and native flora viewing at Eloise Butler. You can feel like you're in the wilderness despite being in the middle of Minneapolis, viewing rare habitat types like the quaking bog. Hiking, biking, or just strolling, there's something to do and plenty of helpful park staff to ask for more ideas.

It was a decent place to ride an E-bike...i made the mistake of going during a busy time, lots of traffic in the park, had to go go go, i like to stop and enjoy the scenery and snap pics. But WOW a great place, lots of stuff to do!!

Such a beautiful green space in the Cities. So many trails for walking, biking, running... It's just such a wealth of goodness. The building is amazing though it's sad that the cafe is now closed.

Theodore wirth park has a surprising amount of unsaved, as well as paved trails. Country in the city.

Beautiful park for a morning walk. Lots of seating at different spots which are beautiful pit stops along your run. There’s a fairly nice track of about 4 miles around the entire park. I was able to catch the sunrise, and it was calming. The upper part of the park gives an Icelandic vibe, while the southern portion is a trail around a lake. There’s basketball courts, tennis courts, by the lake patios. Amazing bike trail as well. Must visit!

Great golf course and layout as long as it’s dry and not flooded.

A treasure of natural beauty within 5 minutes of downtown Minneapolis. Acres of glorious woods, wildflowers throughout the summer, and wonderful nature trails. And in the winter, the crown jewel of cross country skiing in the region. World class trails, groomed and maintained enough to host World Cup ski events. There are memberships and classes and rentals and...ah hell, just go. Theodore Wirth makes winter not just bearable but completely wonderful. You'll understand once you go.

It was my first time here after hearing about it various times. It really is a beautiful place and I had gone on the perfect day to see it all. Lots of trails to stroll along or flat grassy areas to lay out a blanket and relax or picnic.

Very nice riverside park. Lots of free space for running around or picnics. They have a few covered areas for events and a play structure for kids. This park is also along the main trail and so is a good place to rest while covering the full trail.

I love the trails. Walked till the Nicollet Island Park. I saw lots of bridges, railways and park. It’s near Mississippi River so awesome views

Lots of places to explore when you come out here lots of picnic areas and water access close by! Well lit and lots of parking around!

Boom Island Park is a lovely spot to walk, have a picnic, or just enjoy the scenery. It has wide trails, well-kept green areas, and a gorgeous view of the Minneapolis skyline. Perfect for relaxing, biking, or walking your dog. The atmosphere is peaceful, offering the perfect balance between nature and the city. Such a calm and refreshing place to visit!

We enjoyed our visit. The parks seems to be being restored so we didn’t get the best of what it will be, but we are sure the improvements will make an already beautiful landscape even more accessible and enjoyable.

It was super difficult to find our seats. When we got to our section, I asked the man working that section how to get to our seats. He directed me wrong. We climbed the steep stairs to find out it was the wrong section. Went back down and climbed the next set of steep stairs to find our seats. Tickets were expensive($86x2 for nosebleeds). Parking was expensive ($45). Merch was expensive($45 for a t-shirt). Drinks were INSANE ($18 for a bottle of water and a bottle of coke). But the experience was unforgettable!

This was a much better experience than previously. The sound and seats were great. Beverages and food slightly high priced. They were well staffed if you needed assistance finding anything. Very nice and helpful. Will definitely go back to this facility.

First time going to this arena for a concert. It was amazing, could see perfectly fine from the upper level. Really enjoyed the sky walk from parking to the venue and back. Linkin Park

We saw Sleep Token here and the show was ASTOUNDING but security confiscated someone’s Flamingo outfit for the show with no real explanation. The outfit wasn’t dangerous or disrespectful and the fans all loved it. I’m all for venues being diligent in security checks but a flamingo costume? Lol. Overall - I would probably not choose to visit the venue again unless necessary.

We went to see Pantera. After seeing them last time at the BankOne stadium I wasn't expecting very good acoustics. I was pleasantly surprised. All three bands sounded amazing we could see everything. Staff was helpful and friendly. We had a blast. Will return!

The Target Center was very clean, the staff working the Lynx game were great. Main thing to know especially if coming from out of town....there is no bathroom in the main lobby while waiting to get into your event. The closest rest room is a cross the street at Jimmy John's and you need a code from the staff there to get into it. (I did not need to buy anything at Jimmy Johns to get the code), but we had an amazing experience!

Always have fun here. Lots of places to choose from to pregame. Be warned that not all vendors inside accept payment at the window, you might have to sign up online for some to order food and drinks. It's a typical stadium for basketball and I recommend getting table seats or standing at the top of the stairs to place food and drinks. If you sit around the court in normal seating, it's tight.

This place was interesting and informative. We were looking for a museum to go to on a Monday, and many others in town were closed. A friend recommended this museum, and it was great. I loved the art, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They had a great scavenger hunt for the kids. I learned a lot. The gift shop has many delightful items. We spent about an hour looking at the collection.

Came here for the first time and I was surprised at the size of the space. There was a variety of art displayed and it was cool to be able to get close to the different pieces. The gift shop was huge and had a big variety of items available. The front desk staff were helpful in outlining how to navigate the museum and I've been told pieces rotate somewhat frequently. I'll definitely be back, and it's an easy 5 stars for me!

Stumbled upon this hidden gem scrolling across the map. Had a very pleasant and engaging visit with a former professor! The paintings in the main gallery were quite breathtaking and brought to life further through a lively conversation with tour guide, Margo.

Wonderful place to visit! View many different types of artwork, from nesting dolls to paintings and much more. The entire museum is very well done, and definitely worth your time! Plan to spend a couple hours here. The free parking across the street is nice, too.

I appreciated the college’s academic programs and the staff I interacted with were generally helpful and professional. However, I was disappointed with the financial aid process. Before committing, I received an estimated aid offer that made it seem like I was getting an incredible bargain. After I accepted, the official aid letter arrived showing I owed $843, which was unexpected and caused financial strain. This lack of clear communication about the final costs made me feel misled. I hope the college improves transparency in its financial aid communications to help future students make more informed decisions.

Overpriced for what it is. I regret attending this place. Counselors don't care about you and hate when you have any questions. Administrators are cold and rude, especially if you have questions about tuition. Professors were excellent depending on the class. Some professors horrible, didn't teach well at all and played favorites in class. Unfortunately, unable to develop strong relationships with professors because they're too busy to get to know any of their students. Too bad, would have been nice to have some kind of mentorship. Of course the campus is big and quite nice with all the grand facilities but no time to enjoy it when I'm juggling 2 jobs and studying all the time. I won't recommend this place to any of my neices or nephews and definitely won't allow my kids to go here either. Not worth it.

Students and parents need to be aware of their potential university's policy on AI use. Find out prior to deciding whether to attend, so not to have possibility of being erroneously accused. U of Michigan and some other universities allow AI as a tool of learning. Even professors' own writing/assignments indicate AI use. U of Maryland research finds on publicly available AI detectors are sufficiently reliable. Articles in NY times, WaPo and Business Week are worth reading.

I enjoyed the positive attitudes of everyone. The departments gave very helpful information to help in the success of each student.

Nice campus. Plenty of public transit options, but limited parking for personal vehicles. Bike racks abound. Several diverse and lower cost eating options in higher traffic areas.

Beautiful campus good mix of old and new buildings. Coffman is amazing. Student paintings on the Washington Ave Bridge make campus more beautiful ! Uplifting universal message !

Bauhaus is a great craft brewery in NE Minneapolis. The building is massive with tall ceilings. They have a solid list of beers on tap. I enjoyed the Czech Pilsner Zizkov the most and out of all the local breweries that claim to do a Czech Pilsner this one is the closest in terms of flavor and style. It is served in the correct glass and poured from a lukr faucet tap which I had never seen in the U.S. prior to coming here. Their play grade cream ale is good as well and the staff is friendly. It’s a great place to bring your dog as well.

Our favorite bar. They just straight up have great beer! We don’t have an outdoor space around our apartment, so we find ourselves here sometimes multiple nights a week just to get out of the house. The staff is wonderful and the vibe is impeccable. They also have great events! We never know when something is coming up, so we frequently find ourselves showing up to a fun event we never would have gotten to see otherwise.

There was a single bartender during a very busy time when we visited so the service was very transactional/impersonal. The beers were good and we enjoyed the drag show (we didn't know it was happening beforehand).

Great atmosphere! They have seating inside and out, plus games you can bring to your table, which makes it such a fun place to hang out. There’s usually a local food truck with amazing smoked entrées, and it’s a dog-friendly spot, which we love. Watching the trains go by adds to the unique vibe. On top of that, the staff are friendly; the beer is always excellent — creative, well-crafted, and with something for everyone’s taste. Definitely one of our favorite local breweries!

I made an online order from Bauhaus a few months ago and it was great worked out lovely! Made another in September and when it had been about a month with no delivery I reached out. They were kind, reimbursed me for one of the items, but then stated it had been delivered a few days prior. Only problem was I was home all day when they said it was delivered and received no package. I responded saying this, but got no response back. I reached out again separately through the online contact, no response. I have called multiple times multiple days and no one picks up. It has been almost a month since my last email regarding this issue. I love this place and it is super disappointing to be out money and completely ghosted on top of that.

First time I’ve been here for bike night (second Thursday of the month). The beer selection quite varied. I had a pleasant IPA. The food truck had some delicious ribs. Watching and looking at all the bikes was great. I’ll be back.

The farmer's market in Minneapolis is an absolute must-visit for anyone in the area. One of the standout features is its pet-friendly environment, allowing visitors to comfortably bring their furry companions. The market boasts an impressive array of tempting dishes, making it difficult to choose just 1 hahaha I opted for Rudy's Breakfast Bagels, which, despite a significant queue, was well worth the wait. The Lox Bagel on an Asiago bagel was delicious & surprisingly affordable at $14.03. They also offered a delightful selection of 3 sauces: red salsa, chipotle, & avocado. While tables were available, I enjoyed my meal by the stairs, taking in the market's vibrant atmosphere. The bagels come generously filled with fresh vegetables & rich cream cheese. The service was impressively fast, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and kind. A major advantage of this market is its direct connection to the Mill City Museum, which provides convenient access to restrooms and tap water facilities. Although I didn't have enough time to explore every stall due to the market's expansive size, it's clear there's much more to discover than just food and beverages. The variety of goods available is truly impressive.

Loved the location. All the vendors had interesting products. There were indoor bathrooms! Parking ramp was just across the street and only $3 for an hour on Sat. There were plenty of food options. The view of the city was fantastic.

This was a neat experience for my family! Reasonable prices for the meat! Had the pizza and it was delicious! Fun atmosphere with different types of music playing. People were very friendly. The produce and flowers were just BEAUTIFUL!

A great farmer's market, with a variety of foodstuffs and food to go. However, it seems to finnish early after midday. In London this market would be all day, but Minnepolis was empty in the city too, so perhaps that is why.

saturday morning isn’t complete without a stop at the mill city farmer’s market! we’ve enjoyed the variety of vendors, from veggies to prepared foods and other items. our go to is a stop for a bagel sandwich and a croissant! start with a solid breakfast and pick everything you need up for dinner!

Overall a very good library. Four floors full of books and lots of tech open to the public. The hours aren’t amazing, and there are a lot of homeless people, but I’ve been there a lot and never had a problem.

Cool place! It's beautiful just to see, and of course the selection is fantastic. I've never been to a library big enough to have "stacks" so we were enraptured by the moving shelves. 😅 The bathrooms were nice and clean when we visited here. It's really cool that they have so many computers for people to use. If you have kids, the children's area is awesome!

Best Library in Minnesota. Its like the oxboro libaray, multipled by two and stacked 4 times. Its huge. Great activities and safe place with security. They have a chess club and a cafe. The best part is the wifi and studying areas, nearly 200mbs download speed. Never have I seen wifi speed that fast in a public area. Its beautiful.

It's a critical resource for residents especially those that are the most vulnerable like the homeless and people struggling with mental health and substance abuse. The security staff there seems well trained and have the patience to deal with clients at a very challenging workplace. The librarians have all been friendly and the accompanying coffee shop is great.

do not ever in your life if you value time & efficiency park in their parking garage. people are so painfully slow… it takes the average individual 10-15 mins PER car to pay for a parking ticket??? is that normal??? no. i was in this garage for 2 hours. guys 2 hoursssss!!!!!!!!!!!! of my life in a parking garage raging. this is not okay. literally never coming to this library

We went to see The Rose in concert. Entering was easy and fast. Bathrooms were accessible. Parking was easy. It was so hot! The band had to keep reminding people to sit and take a breather! It was ridiculously hot! Because it was so hot and everyone was sweating it smelled awful! We actually ended up leaving before the show was over because we were drenched in sweat and sad to say but a few people near us smelled so awful. It was unbelievable and unbearable! A theater like this knowing the amount of people who will be present knowing it’s a indie rock concert should know there needs to be significant air flow and cold air at that!

What a beautiful theater! From entering the building to finding our seats, I was consistently impressed with the beautiful decor, friendly staff members, and amenities. They've truly done a wonderful job bringing a sense of wonder and excitement before seeing a production. Unfortunately, the seating isn't very comfortable. The last renovation seems to have added new seats but taken away some of the leg room and size of chairs. We felt cramped while enjoying Beauty and the Beast, and that's something I wish could be adjusted or considered moving forward. For the amount of money the audience pays to get into the theater, some consideration of our comfort would be appreciated. Otherwise, this is one of the absolute finest theaters we have in the Twin Cities. An easy 5-star for better, spacious seats.

Three of us visited the Orpheum for a Jimmy Carr show. We walked up to the entrance and noticed the line was more than a block long. Someone told us to check for another line running the opposite way, which we did. It saved us 20 minutes or so in line. We used the time savings to hit the small bar inside. The lady was mixing six different drinks in order to keep the line moving quickly. In the time it took us to pay she had three drinks made and we went upstairs to our seats. The view was excellent and the audio was very clear. The seats themselves were comfortable, but the legroom was very small... The Orpheum itself was beautiful! The staff was pleasant and we'll definitely visit again in the future. Excellent experience!

The orpheum is a beautiful old theater. Refreshments and snacks are reasonably priced but there's a limited selection. Staff is friendly. The bathroom lines are so long it takes the entire intermission time to use the bathroom. The performances here are awesome though!

It was so pretty. I saw beauty and the beast and it was an amazing live performance but I would be cautious going here because there’s a lot of lights and if you have light sensitivity like I do you might wanna be aware that it’s not light sensitivity friendly but otherwise I loved being here. The bathrooms were pretty long between intermissions so I would recommend going 10 minutes before it.

The show was great! But the light production made it hard to enjoy the show as it direct hit to the eyes each time that thing spun around. Better directions on the lights, heard the same complaints all night

Attended the Stardew Valley concert! Amazing show. Amazing venue (except line for women's bathroom is always too long!!)

**NOT a shopping mall! ** Nicollet Mall is a nice pedestrian-friendly area, but keep in mind it’s not an actual shopping mall! We walked quite a bit expecting stores but found more of a downtown street vibe. It was pretty quiet in the winter, though the visitor center was helpful in pointing that there is no shopping here! A nice perk is the free bus that runs along the street (make sire you get on the right bus number). You can ride it to the end and back, which makes exploring easier.

The Dayton's Project runs from Black Friday to December 30th. It's a great opportunity to support Minnesota makers!

Took the kid downtown before it got too cold and went and checked out the YMCA and had some incredible views of the buildings. He loves riding the train also.

Was a nice evening enjoying the Aquatennial’s CenterPoint Energy Torchlight Parade on Nicollet Mall beginning at 12th Street and running to 4th Street. Beautiful displays and bands march through the heart of Mpls, Downtown.

Nice design, worth walking to if you are in downtown! They close early too (most at 6).

We appreciated this small but powerful museum and gallery. Specific info on black history in Minnesota. The quilts were full of heartfelt messages and representations of the black experience. A collection of children’s books available for purchase also. As a visitor to the state of Minnesota we left with new information and understanding. Another bonus free parking !!!

I had the pleasure of visiting this national treasure. I learned about the great contributions of the AA Minnesota residents. Please take time to experience their quilt collection, the historical timeline of AA to the state of Minnesota and National civil rights movement. The important role that AA played in hosting the largest Juneteenth celebration, Prince artistic homage, and George Floyd display. It was an amazing visit and I hope others will take time to visit, support, and donate to keep it open and to expand and make this national treasure 10-20 times bigger.

Very nice exhibit. Took me about 30 min to take it all in. They also had a collection of books to explore if you want to hunker down. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful place❤️🖤💚. They are closed on Mondays but I took these thru the windows. They open Tuesday starting at 1pm. I can't wait to walk around and really see what's inside. I would love to Volunteer there couple hours out of the week. I think it's free, maybe they take donations I'm not really sure

Welcoming, knowledgeable staff, a ton of great information. We also were given a scavenger hunt to complete. I enjoyed seeing the quilts as well as the art.

I haven't been inside the museum, so I won't give less than 3 stars. However, I had a frustrating experience on Juneteenth. The website indicated it was open, but it wasn't, and there was no closed sign. The museum is located in a building with other businesses, making it difficult to find the entrance. After searching for 15 minutes with two toddlers at 2 PM, I called the listed number, only to find it out of service. A woman eventually approached a closed door to inform me they were closed.

Sat at the bar in this casual, popular hometown-feel establishment. The bartender was super nice and guided us through the Juicy Lucy stuffed burgers, which were thin burgers stuffed with gooey liquefied cheese. A half order of fries is all that is needed for two people. Certainly a different take on the burger to try at least once. Kitschy vintage bar decor Grace the walls including a bar group photo with former President Obama! Can be busy.

Matt's Bar's home of the original Jucy Lucy! Be prepared to stand in line for a table it's slam jammed packed or hit up the bar if open, but it's well worth it. This was my favorite out of the three places I tried a juicy lucy. I love the atmosphere in this place. It's a dive, with the feeling that it's filled with townsfolk who just got done doing whatever they do. I'm not a jucy lucy connoiseur, but Matts has an awesome one best flavors and seasoning out of the three that was the deciding factor for me.The fries are average Frozen out of a bag, they have huge bowl for a descent pricer tho... the service is fine, you're probably not going to get asked how your week has been, but you'll get some awesome grub! 100% recommend!

Matt's is always a good experience. Probably in here once every couple months. Food is consistent and good. The Juicy is boiling lava hot inside and is hands down the best in the Metro. Fries are solid and you get a lot of the money. Usually share fries with my homies and we all get 1-2 Lucys. This spot isn't just a staple it's a consistent must have in your life.

This place is everything that you hear about and more! I have been wanting to go here for over a decade since I heard about it. The fact that they have "The Jucy Lucy" is only part of the charm. I had a expectation about the burgers but I was totally blown away and it far exceeded and expectations I had. The burger it juicy and delicious! The fries are a great addition to the main event but do listen when they tell you to wait a couple of minutes before digging in to the simple and delicious burger. They will pop and you might get some on you, you have been warned 😂 I will try to get back before I leave MN and get another Jucy Lucy! Thank you to the staff for everything. You're the best and loved hearing about the place and your stories

Very small place, but they know what they are doing. We stood in line for about 5 minutes. But then they took our order and we got our food pretty quickly for as busy as they were. July Lucy was awesome! Came with grilled tiny onions and pickles. Perfect amount of cheese in each bite.

We went out for a trip down memory lane with my Mom. She grew up in the neighborhood, not even a block away from Matt's Bar. It was so much fun! The food was great. The line was long, but totally worth it! I will bring my family next time. After lunch, we walked a block down 35th & found the house she grew up in. My dad grew up across the alley and knew each other for many years before getting married. It really was a cute love story. One of our good friends also came. She grew up right across the street from Matt's! What a small world! Great food, great company, & nice staff. One concept I thought was interesting, they don't have any ice, so no ice water or a glass of ice to pour your soda in.

This place was recommended by a manager from Orlando, FL. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood and has a cozy, local bar vibe. The restaurant itself was nice and comfortable. The bathroom is located downstairs, which felt a bit sketchy, but manageable. The service was okay. I tried the burger, which was good and definitely different, but not quite what I was expecting based on the recommendation. It’s a regular-sized burger—we ordered two with a basket fries. A heads-up: the burger comes out very hot, so be sure to poke a few holes with a fry or knife to let it cool down before taking a bite, or you might burn your mouth. Important tip: They don’t accept debit or credit cards—CASH only. There’s an ATM on-site if you need to withdraw money to pay for your meal.

I visited on 5/12/2024 on Mother’s Day! Pimento Jamaican restaurant had a long line. I enjoyed the chicken patty and jerk chicken. The view is incredible. You can rent boats, walk around, and enjoy the music. You can sit in a shaded area or by the sun. I chose the sun. Absolutely amazing. I will return!

It was one of the hottest days of existence and the staff was still extremely friendly, patient and helpful. Celebrating a birthday, we tried most of the drinks on the menu and a huge variety of food. Everything was absolutely delicious! The staff catered dietary restrictions and requests gracefully. We had a wonderful experience.

Tried the Pão (Brazilian) biscuits with eggs and salad, along with yuca fries and aoli sauce; all was delicious. Also our waitress - Sam- was wonderful: attentive and hospitable. Thank you for a great experience! Will definitely have to come back to try the rest of the delicious dishes on the menu.

Great restaurant! Prices are reasonable, service was fast and attentive, and the food was great. Even the chips and salsa were awesome. Our server was very helpful and didn't miss a beat waiting on our table. The outdoor patio space is nice on a sunny day.

Had such a fantastic night at Hola Arepa! This place is one of my favorites for good reason. The service is so friendly, and the Halloween vibes were on point, loved the decor and the themed cocktails (they really went all in). The sweet potatoes here are seriously underrated, easily one of my favorite sides anywhere. The steak arepa is perfection: tender, flavorful, and super satisfying and the hot honey chicken arepa is just as good. One of those spots that nails both food and atmosphere every time.

I was being indecisive about where to have dinner and ultimately picked Hola Arepa and they did not disappoint! We ordered the plantains, brussel sprouts, Yucatán chicken empanadas, and the hot honey chicken arepa. The food came out quickly and hot and all the flavors just melded so well together. We ordered the banoffee pie trifle for dessert, which is the only picture I got, because I inhaled everything as soon as it came out.

I had a mixed but mostly positive experience. The taco was the standout. Really good flavor and I loved the shell. Crisp, sturdy, and just the right texture. The arepa was decent, but I liked the taco more overall. That said, the sauce that came with the arepa was excellent. Super flavorful and definitely the best part of the dish. Plantains were regular. Not bad, not great. Just kind of there. It’s a little pricey for what you get, but the service was great. Friendly, fast, and professional. The atmosphere was loud, which made it hard to hold a conversation, and the phone signal inside was terrible. No WiFi either, which added to the inconvenience.

The Riverview Theater is one of those special places we are so lucky to have in the neighborhood. We love seeing movies there and reasonable prices to enjoy the movie and a treat for a good price. We also love the to-go popcorn option. Best movie theater popcorn is found here!

Best neighborhood theater there is! It's an older style but priced accordingly and they even show old films once in a while which is so fun to see in theaters. The best was seeing The Shining at a midnight showing!

PARKING - To my fellow non-parallel parkers: the only option for parking is on the street, but there aren't many businesses around so there isn't much competition for spots. It's mostly a residential area. We arrived 30 minutes before the show (Sun 3pm) and found a spot I could easily pull into less than a block from the theater. If the street the theater is on is full, go one block over.

The Riverview theater is like walking into the past. Such a wonderful theater with the red velvet curtains opening up to reveal the silver screen. A must do especially if you're a movie nerd like me 😁

One theater, kid friendly. Went and seen Lilo & STiTch. Great family day or night fun. Very affordable!!! You can also let your little ones experience how movies were back in the day, then they are now.

It's not the biggest, most boastful, cutting edge theater you will ever go to. But it's 100% a vibe and is affordable. It's a great theater to bring the family to, and there's just something about it that is charming. It's a theater. It plays movies. It has popcorn and drinks. And that's it.

The food was nice! The atmosphere is superb. Very cool diner feel. The waitress was so sweet and nice. I ordered the Fish and Chips. The fish was very good and not hard. It was “fall off the bone.” However, the fried fish was not crispy. Kind of felt like a baby’s arm. Not a beer batter. Just batter. The fries were crinkle cut and therefore not crispy. Some fragments and bits were though, which was nice. They were seasoned similarly to the taste of Lawry’s Seasoning. The dish included “capers,” which I’ve never tasted before. They’re fried little green bulbs from a plant. Salty and fried. But very much retained a green plant taste. Unique taste. My friend ordered the Huevos Rancheros and orange juice. The juice seemed fresh and had pulp, which I liked. The meat was well seasoned. It was a simple dish.

Great place with a super fun atmosphere. If you are looking for a classic diner, this is a great option! I got the Tex-Mex Burrito and it was tasty with a healthy portion size. I also had a pancake which was excellent (and big). Neither was mind-blowing but still very good. The big drawback is the price. All entrees are around 17 dollars which isn’t insane, but definitely on the expensive side for a diner. Overall; good spot with tasty food but expect to pay around 24 or so per person all in.

Good food with friendly and attentive staff. The menu is fun with good variety. I love the chill atmosphere. We had the chips and guacamole (excellent), Notorious P.I.G.(great), the Mediterranean salad (just okay- flavors were unbalanced), and chicken tenders basket(great). The prices are a bit high.

Fantastic brunch spot! The atmosphere of the classic diner is great and they have a nice patio for outdoor seating! Their breakfast menu is great - I highly recommend the Hash Stuffed Hash and the Huevo Rancheros - the vegan chorizo is top notch!

Awesome little resturant. The atmosphere in there was nice and calm, the lights are very pretty. The food was very good but, the prices on some things were a bit much. I got the HI-Lo burger which was $17 with fries, the burger was smaller than I thought it would've been for price and didn't come with anything special besides cheese and sauce. The grilled cheese although was AMAZING, good for price ($16) especially with the soup (both entrees can come with either soup or fries) the mac n cheese was vaguely worth it. $16 is a bit much for a bowl of pasta, but to each their own. Overall service was awesome, our waiter was very nice and checked up on us frequently but not annoyingly which was nice. Would recommend!

Swung through for a quick appetizer; friendliest service I’ve had in a long time. Charming diner with all the comforts you’d want from such an establishment, but also a delightful blend of deliciously modern choices. I’d love to try more on this menu. We had nachos and they were outstanding, well layered with care and nice, crispy, thick-ish chips. Guacamole was fresh and flavorful.

The performance so impressive. The ground crew, orchestra, the actors all so good! The seats are really uncomfortable. It would be cool if the would put up a Birds Eye view of your view from each seating section. For those of use that don’t often make it to these venues it would be helpful.

A truly magical experience! The Minneapolis Children’s Theatre Company is an absolute treasure. Every performance is filled with incredible talent, creativity, and heart. It’s a place where imagination comes alive—for kids and adults alike! The quality of the productions is outstanding, and the atmosphere makes it easy to create lasting core memories with family and friends. Truly one of the best ways to experience the arts in Minnesota.

Took my grandchildren to see The Enormous Crocodile. What an incredible experience. I think I enjoyed it as much as my grandkids. The scenery, acting and singing was all incredible. Can't wait to go to another play there.

We've seen 3 different shows over the past few years. The production is very impressive and professional. So much talent on the stage. The chairs are relatively comfortable, good leg spacing. Not a bad seat in the house when it comes to viewing. Common area can get quite stuffy. The bathrooms need some serious ventilation upgrading. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Our family has been going to plays at the Children's Theatre Co. for many years. Every play is really well done and our kids love every experience, as well as us as parents. They performances are as good as, if not better than, any other play you can see in the Twin Cities!

People that work here are awesome. Shows are good. But the signage to find the theater even from the $20 parking garage is horrible! No less than 5 ppl were wandering around trying to find the entrance. Please put signage in the garage and around the building!

Great job every one my wife and I brought 2 of are 11 grandchildren to watch the Grinch Stole Christmas show and I we must say it was Fanamenal the kids loved it one of the best productions I have been to in a long time we loved the interactions the cast members had with the audience was was very entertaining just Bravo 👏 we will be back for sure probably 10 more times lol 😆

The City Hall is a court room which is currently undergoing upgrading. The building interior is majestic with tinted glass panel and Neo classical lift. One can only visit the 1st storey. I enjoy the sculpture pack opposite the court.

I came in to ask a normal, routine question about my DBA. Nothing dramatic. Nothing advanced. The clerk, however, reacted like I had just accused him of owing me three grand and demanded a full confession about his behind-closed-doors failing marriage — all while I was literally just trying to get my writ of execution sorted. The man looked stressed like I was sweating him down in an interrogation room under a single dangling bulb. The moment I said “Secretary of State filing,” his facial expression went into the Windows XP shutdown screen. His soul clocked out early. His eyes said “no,” his badge said “please leave,” and his brain said “too many syllables.” Highlights include: • Gripping his pistol like my explanation of a DBA was a felony • Interrupting me so hard I think I time-traveled • Saying “we don’t do that here” before I even knew what “that” was • Using the tone of a man who’s been personally victimized by paperwork • Giving the energy of someone who tries to lose arguments with Google I left with fewer answers than when I arrived. I think I lost IQ points in the exchange. My levy certainly didn’t move forward, but his blood pressure absolutely did. If you enjoy absurdist theater, existential dread, or watching public employees malfunction when confronted with concepts above “form go in box,” you’ll love it here. Would not recommend.

I own Celisia Stanton Photography, and one of my clients held their wedding at Minneapolis City Hall. This is the perfect wedding venue for couples looking for an intimate way to make a lifetime commitment to one another. The venue has many large windows with tons of natural light, allowing us to capture indoor ceremony photos without struggling with awkward shadows or uneven lighting often present in churches or other indoor venues. Minneapolis City Hall is also within walking distance of the Stone Arch Bridge, where we were able to capture some stunning photos of the couple after their ceremony. Highly recommend!

Such an underrated gem for Minneapolis wedding ceremonies!! Our couple had their New Years Eve wedding ceremony in the City Hall rotunda, and followed it with a super sweet reception at Boludo a skip hop and a jump away! Note that they don’t do receptions at city hall, but there’s so many great options nearby — especially for restaurant receptions. Mini Wedding in MN...we eloped locally with our family and closest friends. We chose the Minneapolis City Hall Rotunda for a grand look vs. a courthouse wedding. We finished up at Boom Island Park for pictures on the River Xings bridge.

This place isn't talked about enough. If you are going downtown MPLS, you can get to this place by tunnel and or light rail. It's staple in the downtown area with character from its origin. If you have dealings here, please know the cellular reception will be impacted by the density of the structure. The room numbers can be confusing but it's a big circle. If you keep walking you'll find the room you need. Be mindful of where you are because they have a lot going on in this one building and you don't know who or what you'll find yourself in. This truly is a city structure so there isn't much tourism attraction to it but it's definitely the city for sure.

Amazing historical building with castle like exterior and utilitarian interior except for marvelous atrium.

I really enjoyed this museum. There’s an entry fee, so you might want to buy your ticket online ahead of time to save some time. The parking lot is small. When we arrived, there weren’t any spots available, so we had to park a bit down the street in front of a big field and walk to the museum. There are lots of exhibits, but I think the mammoth is the star of the show. It was interesting to see what beavers used to look like; they looked like giant rats to me, lol.

So glad I stopped in to explore the Bell Museum during my travels on Friday morning. My first visit at its new location on the edge of the University of Minnesota's St. Paul campus that opened in July of 2018 (I know, better late than never). The exhibits are quite exceptional. With its relocation from Minneapolis, the museum was expanded significantly to include a planetarium, education wing, and touch & see lab. The landscaping was also upgraded with sustainable native plants, a geology area, and a solar station. The best part was watching the staff and volunteers in action sharing their knowledge with excited kids who showed up with parents, grandparents and school teachers. Made me smile big time. “If you have knowledge, let others light their candles to it.” ~ Margaret Fuller

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at the Bell Museum and can't recommend it as a venue enough! The Bell is a beautiful location that has proved to be a picturesque location for capturing our event in photos, the staff are all kind courteous and professional, and our guests were obsessed with over how cool of a venue it was for a wedding. Laura and Korra were exceptionally helpful when it came to planning and hosting the event. Laura walked us through the process of planning step-by-step so that when the big day came it ran exactly to plan and we had zero issues whatsoever. Korra provided excellent day of support and was helpful in answering all of our questions as the event unfolded. If you are planning a wedding or event that involves children as guests, or adults who just want to have something fun to do between the festivities, we can't recommend the Bell Museum enough. You will have zero regrets, and your guests will rave over the fun and inviting venue.

very interesting science museum with awesome dioramas of minnesota nature. the planetarium movie "we are guardians" was fun and informative. love the cute gift shop items (not too expensive)!

Informative, educational, and a wide variety of exhibits. Accommodating, spacious, and gorgeous gardens. Wonderful gift shop. An excellent time for any science lover.

Great natural history museum! The exhibits were awesome to see. I especially enjoyed the fossils and collections in the Touch & See Lab and their wildlife dioramas upstairs. I really loved that many exhibits focused on Minnesota's natural history—it’s always great to learn more about our state. On top of their other exhibits, the Bell Museum features a planetarium where they play educational shows throughout the day. We saw the “Supervolcanoes” show during our visit and it was really neat to watch on the domed screen. The building itself is also very interesting architecturally and fun to be in. I enjoyed the museum as an adult but I'm sure this would also be a fun trip for families—in particular, I'm sure kids would get a kick out of the animals and digital microscopes in the Touch & See Lab. Overall, I definitely recommend paying a visit to the Bell Museum!

Bell Museum is a pretty chill spot! definitely underrated! If you’re into nature, space, or just cool stuff in general, you’ll vibe with this place. They’ve got neat exhibits about Minnesota wildlife, plus a sweet planetarium that’s honestly mind-blowing. Staff’s friendly and laid-back, happy to nerd out with you if you’re curious. Bonus points for being Insta-worthy—tons of photo ops here. It’s not massive, so it’s perfect for a casual visit without overwhelming you. Parking’s usually easy, too. Totally worth checking out, especially if you’re bored of typical museum vibes. I went there when there was an October star party, we looked through high-powered telescopes at astronomical objects (I saw comets and Venus!) Will update my review later when I back to visit the Museum again!

Attended a wedding shower here and the food (believe theirs) was great. Ciders are good, but I really enjoyed the pair of beers they have (esp stout). Our bartender, Amanda, was amazing. Friendly and cheerful throughout the afternoon.

Great place to get some very cool cider, they do have a food truck outside. The cider is very nice and dry and it is definitely well recommended!

Sociable has been one of my favorite places in Minneapolis since well before I could drink alcohol (don't worry, they have NA options). There's always been family friendly events, and plenty of seating to bring all your pals. A decade later, as an openly queer adult, I still feel incredibly welcome. More importantly, I feel safe, and know the people I bring here will be safe, too. The vibes are friendliness first, but no BS tolerated. Anyway-- The drinks!? Perfection, chefs kiss. Locally made and full of love!! They have rotating seasonal flavors, and I love to get some off sale to put aside. When I'm missing summers rhubarb-y zing or falls crispy goodness, I've got my fav Sociables all year ♥️ Bonus: They have AMAZING rocks all around. Strongly recommend grabbing a pint and taking a little stroll to see what you find! You can get another drink when you go back to wash an agate and see how cool it looks 😎 🚀

Really nice spot! It was a great place to chill for a couple hours on a Saturday afternoon and the THC beverages are so good! Loved the cranberry one. Not a ton of vegetarian options on the food front, so I didn’t try anything

We reserved Sociable for a private event. It was the most seamless experience I've had working with a large venue. We got hit by a surprise of pouring rain, which required a lot of reworking of the space. The staff was incredibly helpful in reorganizing furniture, moving the band indoors... they even helped us park our VW bus inside for the event, in case the rain didn't lighten up in time (but it did)! When the weather cleared, the staff squeegeed and towel-dried all the outdoor furniture for our guests. The drink selection was unmatched and So & So's catering was excellent. Special thanks to Olivia, April, Amanda, Steve, Gardner, and all the staff that made this event a success! I would love to host future events in this space.

Was out there today for their Anniversary event. Great cider, live music, food trucks and just the most fabulous atmosphere. Came from the East Coast for it. Great spot and I never miss stopping by when I'm in town.
