Gulf Islands National Seashore is a must-visit destination in Pensacola Beach, offering over 50 miles of protected coastline along the Gulf and bay. Visitors can explore untouched beaches, witness trees shaped by coastal winds, and discover the historic Fort Pickens at the island's western tip. The area also features Fort Barrancas, an important site from the American Civil War era.
When you watch to the watertower at Pensacola beach and go right for about 20(?) minutes by car you will reach the national seashore! Nice dunes! Nature! Very white beaches! If you pay entry ( America the beautiful is accepted) you can park car on hard ground and have Restroom, Shadow seats… Jogging was to hard for me because the sand directly at the water was to deep… but a junger man was 🏃‍♂️😀 Never park your car side of street in the sand!!! We saw lot of cars needed a towing truck to come out of the sand!!!

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen in our country. The white, white sugar sand, the dunes with the native plants protecting the native wildlife, is simply breathtaking. The water is pristinely clear, with turquoise/ azure gradations. I appreciated the fact that the beach was not overcrowded. I would have loved to spend much more time there. It is a natural spot, so there are no restrooms immediately available, so that is something to consider.
Sheila O — Google review
Gorgeous!! Not nearly as crowded as the local city beaches and very well maintained. It’s part of the National Park system so it has nice facilities. There is a fee but it is worth it for the cleanliness, restrooms and showers.
Roamer222 — Google review
You will find sparkling blue waters and beautiful beaches along 150-mile stretch of pristine seashore. Whether you’re shelling, swimming, birdwatching, or simply enjoying the breathtaking scenery, Gulf Islands National Seashore is a nature lover’s paradise. ☀️🐚🌊

I guess more patrols need to be added out here from the sheriffs office, third time in three weeks. People had their pets on the beach and refused to get off the beach when approached. That combination with the trash that is accumulating on the beach from people thateither are very forgetful or just don’t give a darn.
Lqsi12 — Google review
Wow! This location is beach lovers heaven. The cleanliness of the water and beaches absolutely beautiful. We were here on a Saturday in July the weather to the north was stormy but on the island it was cloudy. It made a perfect time to visit without the intense heat. It has many spots to just pull into for a more private setting or more public areas to park in a parking lot with amenities a fee is charged in some spots. Beautiful place to visit. If you wanna be away from it all this is the place. No houses condos and large crowds.
P.J. S — Google review
Gulf Islands National Seashore is a great place to visit! I have now been to both the Mississippi and Florida locations in which both are beautiful in their own way. The Davis Bayou Area of GINS boasts flourishing swamp ecosystems while the Florida area provided visitors with history on top of gorgeous beaches and marine ecosystems! The NPS runs each facility in the best way possible and cannot wait for my next visit!
Jayden — Google review
We stopped here mid-April on a Thursday afternoon and it was beautiful and sleepy. The water was beautiful but a bit chilly. If we’d had more time we would’ve went swimming. But the water was choppy-yellow flag. We visited 2 weeks ago and it was windy and the water cool. But it’s still one of the most beautiful and quite beaches along the Florida coast imo. And we drioe the whole way down to key west! Must less touristy that Destin.

Opal Beach is a hidden treasure along the Gulf Islands National Seashore, offering visitors an idyllic escape with its breathtaking sugar-white sands and crystal-clear azure waters. Nestled between Pensacola and Navarre beaches, this serene spot invites you to unwind in nature's embrace. Whether you're looking to take a refreshing swim, enjoy a picnic under the sun, or simply bask in the tranquil surroundings while listening to seagulls overhead, Opal Beach has it all.
A Hidden Gem on the Gulf Coast Opal Beach is an absolute treasure. Nestled within the Gulf Islands National Seashore, this beach offers a serene escape from the more crowded spots nearby. The sugar-white sands and crystal-clear waters create a picturesque setting that's perfect for relaxation. One of the standout features is the ample space—it's easy to find a quiet spot to set up and enjoy the natural beauty without feeling crowded. The facilities are well-maintained, including clean restrooms, outdoor showers, and covered picnic areas, making it convenient for families and groups. Accessing Opal Beach requires a small entrance fee, but it's well worth it for the pristine environment and amenities provided. Parking is straightforward, and the drive along Highway 399 offers stunning coastal views. If you're seeking a peaceful beach experience with natural beauty and excellent facilities, Opal Beach is the place to go. Highly recommended! Instagram: eatwithjarco

My “go to” spot! Clean, safe, white sand, turquoise water and rarely crowded. It’s off the beaten path as it’s part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. Make sure you have what you need before heading here; no shops or restaurants.

Awesome location to come and enjoy the Emerald Water. Calm and quiet place to enjoy the beach. 100% worth the $25 for a 7 day pass. We came twice to spend the day with the white sand and great atmosphere.

Must be timing....went mid July. Ugly slimy seaweed beach. So much seaweed. And it costs $25 to get in. Sand was very soft. One bathroom had overflowing toilet. Drove over to Ft. Walton beach for dinner and sunset and beach was much better there. I won't come back or recommend.

Quietwater Beach in Pensacola Beach is a serene and tranquil destination known for its gentle waves and soft, powdery sand. It's a popular spot for low-key water activities like paddleboarding, kayaking, and swimming due to its calm waters. Nestled near Pensacola's boardwalk, the beach offers a peaceful atmosphere with occasional events like live concerts or art walks. Visitors can enjoy the scenic boardwalk and nearby amenities such as dining options and the Pensacola Bay Ferry.
Had a visit during the week and also on the weekend. It's very family friendly. Lots of shops restaurants and photo opportunities. A wonderful pier to walk down and also swimming areas. Water is not deep at all for the most part. Night life is beautiful and easy to park. Daytime the parking is difficult but there is so much life. Make new friends, meet new people. I'm not sure what happened to my pictures from the daytime but will post when I find them. It's a stop you should make if in the area

This place is awesome great place to bring the kids I have been coming here for years maybe 57 years a long time I definitely recommend this place

This is a terrible, horrible, very bad no good place. You definitely shouldn’t ever go here, just leave it empty for me and the wife. It’s all sandy and serene with gently lapping water. I mean gross right? Sometimes you even are subjected to seeing dolphins which serves no real porpoise at all. Worse than that you can even have mimosas with your feet in the water while enjoying the sun. Trust me and stay away, if you do show up though clean up after yourself, pack in pack out.

The perfect family friendly place to be! Beautiful calm beach making it the best place to float. Tiki bar up the beach, restaurants, ice cream, boardwalk shops and so much more. We locked up our ebikes on their bike racks and enjoyed the whole day.

Wonderful beach with peaceful waters and sits next to a jetski and mini sail boat rental business that pairs very well, the sands are also really great and the shallow water stretches far. I took pictures with my drone so you can get a better view of what the place looks like. Water always feels great!

If you're on the lookout for an unforgettable family adventure, the National Naval Aviation Museum is a destination that should be at the top of your list. This impressive museum stands as one of the largest in its field, showcasing over 150 meticulously restored military aircraft that tell the story of naval aviation's rich history spanning more than a century.
The National Naval Aviation Museum is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and well-organized—from parking and entry to exhibits and signage. The layout makes it easy to navigate, even with kids in tow, and there’s something fascinating around every corner. The facilities are spotless and clearly very well cared for. The aircraft displays are pristine, the restrooms were clean, and every area felt thoughtfully maintained. You can tell the staff and volunteers take real pride in keeping this place top-notch. It’s an educational, inspiring, and enjoyable experience for all ages. Whether you’re a history buff or just looking for a fun and meaningful outing, this museum is a must-visit. Five stars, hands down!
Jason N — Google review
Amazing museum! We went on a Friday morning with our 2 ½-year-old and he had the best time exploring the exhibits, climbing into planes, and flipping all the cockpit switches. His favorites were the simulator at the start and sitting in the aircraft. Admission is free, which makes it even better! There was a graduation going on during our visit but it didn’t affect our experience at all. Perfect spot for families — highly recommend!
Marclyn K — Google review
We were all very happy 😊 and impressed with our visit. To see these historic flying machines up close like this is awesome. We opted to take the guided tour and I highly recommend that. Our guide was excellent, but I'm confident all of them are since it's likely they are all experienced pilots and vets. Did I mention this aviation museum is FREE? We spent 3 hours in there, but you could easily spend the day.
Salvatore I — Google review
It’s wonderful! Huge!! There is a lot to see and learn. Admission is free! The tours are free! I’m guessing but I’m pretty sure they are veterans and they live to talk about their experiences in the military. They do suggest a $10 donation. We used google maps and ended up at the wrong gate. The museum is on base (so be sure all adults have real id) but the guard gave us the actual address and turned around. There is a cafe inside and a snack area which are purchased. There are flight simulators which are also for purchase. One is pretty tame but the others are pretty intense. It’s a bit pricy but worth it especially considering the money goes to running the museum. We visited both days of our weekend stay in Pensacola. If you have a pilot in your circle they would be enthralled. I highly recommend you visit!
Anne G — Google review
The National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola is nothing short of spectacular — an absolute must-visit for anyone even remotely interested in aviation, history, or just looking for an unforgettable family outing. The sheer number of aircraft on display is mind-blowing. From early biplanes to jet fighters and iconic aircraft spanning every major conflict — WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and beyond — the collection is incredibly comprehensive and beautifully presented. It's a powerful visual journey through the evolution of naval aviation and military history. What really impressed us was how family-friendly the entire experience was. There are interactive areas where kids can climb into cockpit cutouts, play, and get hands-on in a way that sparks real excitement and curiosity. It’s the kind of place where you’ll see wide-eyed kids pretending to be pilots while parents and grandparents marvel at the historical significance of the aircraft around them. The museum itself is massive — easily an all-day affair if you want to take in everything it has to offer, and honestly, it’s well worth the time. The layout is great, the exhibits are immersive, and there's something for every age and interest level. Whether you're a history buff, a family looking for an engaging day trip, or someone who simply loves incredible machines and the stories behind them, the National Naval Aviation Museum delivers on all fronts. We'll definitely be back!
Pete — Google review
Absolutely amazing experience. We went on a Wednesday and watched the Blue Angels practice/autograph session, and then explored the museum afterwards. If you enjoy and respect aviation as well as the military history of our country, highly recommend. We did not have the time to do it but we could have spent all day here.
Featherbear19 — Google review
Nice collection of vintage aircrafts. Several War Planes. Nice collection on engines. They also offer guided tour. Entry is free. There's a movie show which you can purchase and also a simulator ride which you can purchase. Do not miss it if you are near Pensacola. It's home of Blue Angels.
Sunil S — Google review
Absolutely amazing experience! There is a lot of exhibits and demonstrations to see at the museum. You really need a full day or whole weekend to see it all and read all the information. There’s so many planes, jets and copters. Kids can get in many of them and press buttons and steer. The different areas like Vietnam and World War Two show the way people lived during those periods so it was really neat to see. Highly recommend any time if you are in the area or great for kids rainy day activities. It’s free as of July 2025. Be prepared to do a lot of walking as the museum is huge.

Historic Pensacola Village is an 8.5-acre historic downtown area featuring 28 preserved buildings and museums spanning from colonial times to WWII. The City of Pensacola has planned improvements to enhance the safety and accessibility of Zaragoza Street in the village, including raised pedestrian crossings, ADA-compliant sidewalks, and curb extensions.
I recently had the pleasure of taking a guided tour at Historic Pensacola Village, and it was an incredible experience! The tour was well-structured and led by a knowledgeable guide Carly who brought the area's history to life with engaging stories and insights. We explored several beautifully restored buildings. Each site was filled with intriguing facts and artifacts that deepened my understanding of life in Pensacola during different time periods. Carly made the experience both informative and entertaining. I particularly appreciated how she encouraged questions and shared personal anecdotes, which made the tour feel more interactive. The village itself is beautifully maintained, offering a lovely setting for a stroll between stops. Overall, I highly recommend the guided tour of Historic Pensacola Village to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the rich history of the area. It’s a fantastic way to spend a few hours and truly appreciate the stories that shaped this beautiful region.

We were pleasantly surprised by all the houses on the tour. Our tour guide was a kind young man who knew an incredible amount of details. It was fun following him through these historic homes. We were there a week ago while traveling from SC back to TX. We were happy to finally make it to the historic Pensacola Village. I think Christ Church had an interesting history. We barely scraped the surface of all the stories to be told here. Everyone working here dressed in clothes from a long ago time. Well done Pensacola. Our tour guide was a University Student and did such a phenomenal tour for all of us. He told us so many stories. His stories brought the old homes to life as we wandered through.

We had an amazing experience at Historic Pensacola Village! For just $12, we got a 2-hour guided tour plus access to the Historic Museum, Art Museum, and more — and the pass is good for 7 days. Our guide, Seven, was outstanding — knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about sharing Pensacola’s history. The tour was well-paced, the exhibits were fascinating, and everything far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Pensacola!

Our tour guide was Melissa and she was great! Very interactive and knowledgeable. We definitely got our monies worth. Very inexpensive for a 2 hour tour. Enjoyed it tremendously! We recommend this tour. There is so much to see and the ticket is good for 7 days!! Are you serious??? That's amazing. Day 1 - Do the tour Day 2 - Go to the beach and enjoy all the activities the beach has to offer - kayaking, jet skiing, parasailing, sailboarding, sunbathing, mini golf, etc. Day 3 - Do a dolphin watch or a fishing charter Day 4- tour the area restaurants and check out the rest of the buildings/museums and have a day of it Day 5 - finally, a day at the pool/beach just relaxing.

Carlee was an amazing tour guide! My husband and I drove to Pensacola from Mississippi just for the day with our boys (16 & 12), and wanted to see some of the history in this very old city. Carlee was kind and informative. This was well worth the $12 per adult and $6 for my youngest. Even the boys enjoyed themselves and learned some stuff in the process. I would definitely recommend taking this tour if you’re in the area.

This boardwalk is perfect to spend a day at the beach. There is a ton of free parking, plenty of shops, a pay to use pier, and a variety of places to eat nearby. Even when the beach is busy there is plenty of space and it is still very quiet. Still a variety of wildlife present. A great spot all around!

The best entertainment you can get for 2.50 (walking pass)! The kids live for the wildlife we see from the pier. Cheap easy entertainment for the entire family!

While this beach area can be busy they have a lot of nice areas with showers to wash off. Great spots to take photos. The giant beach ball. Lots of food options. Alvins Island gift shop. Cute shops. Great place to spend a day on the Gulf or Bay, clean up, and hang on the board walk with food and drink.
Scott M — Google review
We stopped by this area for an evening during our Florida trip. It is fine for what is is, a stretch of beach with a lot of bars, restaurants and shopping, but I tend to enjoy a more low key beach experience. It has a party town feel with a lot of bars, so not the most family friendly place in the world. The actual boardwalk was nice and very scenic.
Lydia T — Google review
Eclectic, fun, beachy restaurant. Has something for everyone. We ate inside and it was dark and quiet. The food portions and quality are fantastic! The drinks are yummy too. And be sure to check out the gift shop as it is surprisingly big and has many cool and interesting items. We didn’t stay for the live music but we did watch people playing volleyball. This is our new go to place, and if you’re staying on Pensacola Beach you can DoorDash food and drinks from Flounders too. All around great place!

Lighthouses
The Pensacola Lighthouse & Maritime Museum, established around 1859, is a must-visit attraction offering guided tours and panoramic views from its top. The museum showcases local history and maritime heritage. Situated in the Pensacola Bay Area, visitors can indulge in various outdoor activities such as kayaking, birdwatching, and exploring the Gulf Islands National Seashore.
We did the sunset and full moon tour of the lighthouse and it was fantastic! Though it said sold out online, we were able to call and see if there had been cancellations the day of the tour and get in! We had a small group. Cheryl led an interesting tour around the keepers quarters and museum for us while Wanda provided a wealth of information at the top of the lighthouse. The view was magnificent. We had a gorgeous sunset and though the full moon was blocked by clouds, Wanda told us some local stories while we waited for the moon to come above the clouds. This lighthouse is so well maintained and full of history. The view is amazing. The staff was so great and we’re so thankful we got this experience!
Haley C — Google review
This was a nice place to visit and see, especially for those who like history. The museum has a lot of information about how the lighthouse was maintained in the past. The admission price was a bit steep in my opinion (I think $9.50/person for those that aren’t seniors/military).
Michael P — Google review
I am a big lighthouse fan and this one did not disappoint. Very well maintained. Well worth the 219 step climb to look out over the oldest city in the United States. The staff at the gift shop and on the grounds were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the history of the lighthouse also.
Michael S — Google review
Have to go onto the Navy base to get to the lighthouse. Once you get there the old light keepers house and grounds are a museum with lots of info and even a reading room to learn about lighthouses. After 177 steps the view is beautiful including the beach and naval airstrip where the blue angels are.
Jaygee S — Google review
A must visit when in or around Pensacola. The view from the lighthouse is spectacular! It's even better if you happen to catch the Navy's Blue Angels practicing. The Blue Angels and Aviation Museum are directly across from the lighthouse.
Steve ( — Google review
Pretty cool lighthouse that let's you climb all the way to the top. It actually still works and is moving while you are up there. Their is a museum on-site of how the light keeper lived and worked on a day to day basis. Its just under $10 a person.

This was an awesome place to visit. The light house staff were knowledgeable and very friendly. Never enjoyed a gift shop near as much as the one attached to this tour.

Arrive early to avoid delays entering the navy territory. Enter Pensacola West, not on the other side. We climbed the 177 steps to the top and saw panoramic views of the Gulf Coast, Pensacola Bay, and the historic naval air station. It's a must-visit landmark for anyone exploring the Pensacola area. Everything g can be seen within 90 minutes.

Blue Wahoos Stadium, also known as Admiral Fetterman Field, is a 5,000-seat open-air stadium located at 351 W Cedar Street in Pensacola. It's the home of the Minor League Baseball team Pensacola Blue Wahoos, affiliated with the Miami Marlins. The stadium offers a laid-back atmosphere for family-friendly fun and hosts various events such as concerts and movie nights throughout the year.
First time to see the Blue Wahoos. Had a terrific experience and absolutely love this little stadium. It felt smaller than other double A stadiums I've been in before, which gave it some charm. Enjoyed being able to see the bay as it sits right on the water. The ticket prices were very fair as well as the concessions. We were able to find on the street parking a short walk away which we were happy about. Will definitely take in another game if I'm in the area.

Best minor league stadium I've been to. It's super clean and has a gorgeous view out in center field. There were multiple different styles of food you could eat around the concourse. We sat on the berm for a bit which still had a great view of the game along with the sunset. They also had great fireworks after the game. We got there pretty close to the start of the game on a Saturday evening and they were sold out except for standing room so I'd recommend getting there early or buying tickets online. An amazing time.

By far the BEST stadium I’ve been to!! The nicest staff members ever! You feel like family! One of the workers gave us a tour of the whole stadium-He was the best! The atmosphere, the team, food, gift shop..everything is great! Beautiful views! I will be returning next season!
Nicole B — Google review
Very nice stadium, not a bad seat in the place. Went to a ball game and had a great time. Seats are tall people friendly, I’d say. Only negative was that there weren’t really any options for desserts :(
Adin H — Google review
Beautiful ocean views. Great variety of food and snacks. Easy parking (you can pay with cash or card on site). We really enjoyed watching the last game of the season here!
Valentina H — Google review
Nice stadium with great views of the bay. Wish the lines for food moved quicker. Other than that, great!
THEEJT — Google review
First time here. Had a great time. The game started at 4pm and we were in the shade (section 100), which was very nice. By 5, most seats were shaded. Nice view of the water. Food was good, although there aren't a lot of choices. Good selection of beers available. Parking across the street for $10. Super easy to get in and out.

Season tickets holders after doing mini plan for two years. Phenomenal effort is put in by the organization and everyone, season ticket holder or not is treated very well. The wahoos do so much to support the community and do wonderful things for the kids in attendance. It is very family friendly. Tuesday you can bring your dog and you get a free hotdog, chip and drink with your ticket. Thursday is dollar draft beers for one hour, then it goes to two dollars and 3 as the game goes on. Friday is a giveaway day for first 1000 folks. Saturday is fireworks after the game. Sunday kids get to run the bases on the field after the game. Every game is a roach run for kids after the 6th inning. The organization is very interactive and I promise you’ll have an amazing time.

Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier offers a quintessential Gulf Coast experience with its stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico and a vibrant atmosphere. The pier provides paid access for anglers seeking sailfish and the chance to spot dolphins while enjoying panoramic vistas. Visitors can join local fishers or simply admire the sea life, including sea turtles and barracudas. The late fall and early winter months offer a peaceful and uncrowded beach experience, perfect for strolling along Pensacola Beach.
Fun spot to watch the locals fish or fish if you can and do. Also a great spot to walk out and watch the surfers. It was cold and raining the day I visited. Worth the effort and cost.

Absolutely Beautiful! Great food on the Pier, Fishing is great as well. Was catching King Fish, Catfish, Mango Snapper & Spanish. Very Family Oriented adults cost $8 for Fishing just for walking not sure.

Pensacola Beach is absolutely breathtaking and one of the most beautiful beaches in the U.S.! The sand is so soft and white it looks like sugar, and the emerald-green water is crystal clear and inviting. Whether you’re swimming, paddleboarding, or just relaxing with your toes in the sand, it feels like paradise. What makes it even better is the atmosphere. It’s lively yet laid-back, with friendly locals, family-friendly vibes, and plenty of great spots to eat fresh seafood right by the water. The boardwalk is full of energy, but you can also find quieter stretches of beach to simply unwind and soak up the sunshine. The sunsets here are truly magical, watching the sky light up in pinks and oranges over the Gulf is worth the trip alone. Between the natural beauty, the welcoming feel, and the endless things to do, Pensacola Beach is a place you’ll want to come back to again and again. If you’re looking for the perfect mix of relaxation and fun, this beach is second to none. 🌊☀️

We enjoy walking the peirs on vacation. This one was cheap and clean. There was free parking and restrooms close by. As always beautiful views especially at sunset and we saw a ton of sharks on our walk!
Nora W — Google review
This was a very inexpensive way to enjoy the air and the views of the beach. Buy a bracelet and you can peruse the pier until 10PM for whatever you desire. Fishing is abundant, the breeze is great, and the overall experience is pretty decent. There are plenty of trash receptacles that people actually use, meaning the walk is mostly clean. As well as many, many seating options the length of the walk but not at the end.
Michael R — Google review
One of the cleanest beaches I have ever been too. Nice long pier. Fun to see what the fisherman are catching. Wonderful smell of restaurants cooking seafood. Really fun place.
Joe S — Google review
Pier itself is nice! Restrooms need immediate ATTENTION. Really disgusting! If you can go to the RR in your hotel before you visit the pier please do so!
Alma R — Google review
The pier is just like any other… A little crowded no matter what time of day you go and some people have no respect (loud music, smoking, yelling, swearing, setting up directly next to you). Nonetheless, it’s a gorgeous beach, the water is amazing and the sunsets are gorgeous. Within walking distance of multiple shops and restaurants, however I don’t recommend swimming around the pier as it is infested with jellyfish, especially in August, when I went you couldn’t even swim without probably getting stung. Definitely a cool place to check out!

Pensacola MESS Hall is an interactive science and engineering museum where visitors can conduct real experiments. It's a great place to inspire young minds to think creatively and stay curious. The museum offers engaging learning activities that help develop critical thinking in children, making subjects like math, engineering, and science more interesting.
A great place for kids to have a hands-on learning experience. There are creative stations/exhibits to explore subjects like science and engineering. Clean and well structured!

The Mess Hall is a gift that keeps giving to Pensacola. It provides great opportunities for young and old to learn STEM concepts in a fun and communal environment, with routinely changing events and interactive experiences. Learn something new with each visit. The staff is engaging and informed, particularly Ariel, who has always been patient, kind and genuinely invested in ensuring kids have fun and learn new things about science and the world. Definitely check this place out with your family.

Teeny tiny little powerhouse of a science museum. We loved the mess menu that included activity kits for the kids to do. I don't think I've ever seen such a small yet mighty museum. Got in free with our ASTC travel membership but made sure to buy a bunch of stuff from their gift corner including some take home mess kits! Keep up the good work guys!
Sierah B — Google review
3 years ago we came and fell in love with Mess Hall. 2 years ago we came back and didn’t realize it was the week they close to get ready for summer. Last year we were out of the country. If you are a parent reading this - you know it means my kids (now 10 and 8) have asked for 3 years when we are going to make it back to Mess Hall. We made it back today and I can confidently say we will be back again! We spend hours here as a family and no one asks for an electronic or says, “I’m bored.” Highly recommend! There is something for everyone!
Erin S — Google review
I’m sorry to say that I was very disappointed in our visit to the mess hall. It cost $30 to get in for an adult and a four-year-old. 90% of the exhibits far exceeded the comprehension of a four-year-old. The condition of the exhibits was very disappointing. The large blue foam blocks that my grandson played with were filthy. I Applied hand sanitizer to his hands multiple times. The fishing poles for the little fishing game only had one that had a magnet that actually was strong enough to pick up the fish. The marble run exhibit had many pieces that were cracked and needed to be replaced. Ex- 2 L plastic bottle pieces. Plastic dishes containing objects to view under the microscope were badly scratched and interfered with clear viewing. The music bench did not work properly. The staff that was present did not engage or explain anything when I did ask a question she didn’t even bother to come out from behind the counter to explain or show us how to do anything. I feel I wasted $30. There should be different price levels for age of children if you are going to have so many exhibits that they don’t understand. Again, very disappointed in the experience I won’t return

This place was awesome! My 5 yo had a blast. My 2 yo enjoyed the river. We were here for two and a half hours and did science experiments the whole time!! Great activity for a windy beach day. Can't wait to stop by next year and see what new things we can get into when we can read ourselves. Thank you to the awesome staff who was there to answer any questions and to suggest new mess kits for us to try out. My oldest even asked for more supplies to make her own creation. Loved it! Great stop!!

Langdon Beach, located in the Fort Pickens area near the western end of Santa Rosa Island, is a popular destination within Gulf Islands National Seashore. This swimming beach offers seasonal lifeguards and amenities such as a picnic pavilion, bathhouse, and outdoor showers.
Made a last-minute plan to try the National Seashores on a warm February day, and to park at Langdon. It was very pristine, not a lot of people, and this is probably one of the prettiest beaches I've ever been to!! Langdon has bathrooms, picnic tables, and even an outdoor shower to get sand off.

Perfect spot to relax and enjoy quality time with loved ones. Hidden gem in Pensacola Beach! Otw to the beach we seen a air show they have every year about the same time.

A barrier island between the Gulf of Mexico and Pensacola Bay, Fort Pickens State Park and as part of it, Langdon Beach, is BREATHTAKING!! Serene, beautiful, peaceful! Scattered with Oak Trees, natural wonders, military remnants, tons of wildlife (deer, eagles in the season, shore birds, ospreys, turles, stingrays, etc). White sand beaches in either direction ont he gulf side and the bay side (not a great place for shell collecting). There are hiking trails on the beach, across the bay side, and in the Fort. $25 gives you 7 days of admission. A National Parks pass gives you free admission!

From high-end boutiques and jewelers to the Palafox Farmers Market, there's always something happening on this renowned street. It has been consistently recognized as one of the best streets in America, boasting an impressive selection of shops, restaurants, bars, breweries, coffee shops, and historic architecture.
By sheer dumb luck my first visit to Pensacola was on Saturday when there's a multi-block crafts/food market. Lots of buskers, too. I began walking into town from the pier just to find breakfast, but I wound up spending the entire morning and early afternoon on Palafox! Lots of bike racks, benches for sitting, and most important --- TREE COVER!

Love this area. So alive and busy. With the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The laughter and chatter all around you with beautiful weather and everyone going thier own ways and doing their own thing. Really is a beautiful thing. So jump in the scene and live a life serene. The trees, the park, everything in between. The art, colors, all so freeing. This is the place to be if you believe, if you agree get out there and go see. 👀 it's a great place to be.

The Blue Angels put on an amazing performance that is definitely worth seeing. You can bring your own chairs or rent them for a small fee, and there are concessions available at reasonable prices. The show represents freedom, patriotism, and the American spirit. Even in uncertain weather conditions, the Angels deliver an incredible experience. Whether it's a scheduled air show or a surprise flyover, witnessing the Blue Angels in action is always memorable and not to be missed.

A wonderful representation of fredom , patriotism, and to be an American.

What an amazing show for all ages. Plus it's FREE! Make sure to bring your own chairs, hats, sunscreen, ear plugs and water. They do offer chairs to rent $6 each. Get there early for a good seat. Wear good walking shoes to visit the museum and hangers because it's a massive complex.

Unique experience. It is fascinating and feels surreal to see the magnificent harmony that blue angels show in air formation. Highly recommended for aircraft aficionados and families looking to do things in the area. Admission is free but seating can be a hassle. Show up 45 minutes before the air show, which usually starts at 10 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Park on the left of the Air Museum

Amazing! Amazing! Thinking you want to check it out - THEN DO IT! It was a great performance. They rented chairs if you forget or don’t have your own - we paid $4 a chair and they picked them up afterwards. Or you can just stand, sit in the bleachers, or put a blanket down. There was concessions- chips, WATER, beverages, ChikFilA sandwiches (first come first serve). CONCESSIONS were reasonably priced. They had EAR PLUGS for $1. A few Blue Angel souvenirs, shirts and more that support the Blue Angel program. You can’t bring in food, NO back packs- but we were able to bring in a diaper bag for our little ones. BRING YOUR CAMERA- plenty of space for a great show. Wear comfortable shoes for a bit of a walk. Summer time use SUNSCREEN and a hat. Outside restroom area - portapotty style- hand washing area and a MISTER to cool off. There was a courtesy golf cart that helped with the little ones. Best day!

Joe Patti's Seafood is a renowned institution that supplies the best restaurants in town with fresh seafood. The market offers a wide variety of locally caught seafood, including snapper, grouper, catfish, lobster, and their famous Royal Red shrimp. Established in the 1930s, this family-owned business has been a favorite for over 80 years. Visitors can experience the charm of a small-town market while exploring the impressive selection of fresh seafood brought in daily from the Gulf of Mexico.
Anytime we are traveling near the ocean we find a good fish market. Stepped foot into Joe Pattis and was impressed with huge variety of fresh seafood, and all other grocery items. The tuna dip with their fresh bread was so good, Gelato, as well as the delicious cheesecake. Instead of spending a fortune on crab legs out for our daughters birthday we decided to get the crab legs here to take back to the BNB. They steamed and seasoned them for us to perfection! If you like seafood at a reasonable price I promise you will not be disappointed. A bit busy while we we're there, but so worth the wait. We will definitely return again on our next vacation. Thanks for a wonderful seafood/birthday dinner for our daughter, Joe Pattis! Until next time.

Great fresh seafood at a good price. My first experience buying fresh seafood at a market. Quick service--just take a number and wait to be called. Ate the most delicious seafood I've had in years that I bought there yesterday and cooked tonight Highly recommend the tuna steaks and sea scallops--delicious!!!

Who wouldn’t want to handpick their own fresh seafood right from the whispering shoreline? We savored lobster, wild shrimp, and a creamy Snapper Gouda soup. To go along with it, we picked up a pound of both shrimp salad and salmon salad. We couldn't forget pepper sauce, cocktail sauce and crackers. Everything was absolutely delicious! When we returned, we sat outside, enjoyed our feast, and paired it with a bottle of Chianti.

Great seafood! Amazing variety - just about anything that comes out of the water! Prices very reasonable and the service is great. We got Royal Reds, peeled and deveined - steamed spicy. Delicious and perfectly cooked! Got their store made remoulade, Boom Boom and cocktail sauces - all fantastic! We’ll be back again and again!

Fishmarket, groceries, wine, and other beverages, and souvenirs are for sale in this large enclosed market. This is the largest market I’ve been to and the selection is overwhelming and fresh that day prices are very competitive and the service is outstanding. Extremely clean , Large parking lot, handicap parking and access, and restrooms . Even if you don’t like fish, you should experience this historic landmark. They will also steam cook anything for you and they also have an on-site sushi bar and wine cellar with an amazing selection. Very organized very professional very friendly. We purchased Royal red shrimp And the biggest fillet of Chilean Seabass i’ve ever seen. they also have a market to purchase some assorted premade dip, sauces, and assortment of fresh vegetables. Nestled just a short drive from Pensacola Beach, the Gulf Breeze Zoo is an enchanting destination for animal lovers and families alike. Spanning 50 acres, this vibrant zoo boasts over 800 exotic animals, including majestic giraffes, playful rhinos, and fascinating hippos. Visitors can enjoy unique experiences like feeding the towering giraffes or participating in special animal encounters that allow for close interactions with some of these incredible creatures.
Had a blast checking this zoo out! It was easy to get to, quick to get in, and had maps. They had options to buy food to feed the goats, giraffes, and birds. You could buy “animal encounters” for a variety of different animals. The layout was nice, the animals seemed well cared for, and a fun train ride. The train is free with admission and you can ride as many times as you want. Our group ride twice trying to see the orangutan, but he was hiding. There are certain animals you can only see by rising the train which I thought was fun and made the ride exciting looking for them. We loved learning all the fun facts about the animals on the ride. There were LOTS of baby animals when we went; a hippo, lots of different monkeys, a lemur, and goats. There are multiple bathrooms and an indoor cafe that had snacks, ice cream, and drinks(including a few beer options). Definitely would go again!
Sydnie J — Google review
Such an amazing zoo. Highly recommend you come here and do the experiences. If you can’t see those then definitely buy the bundle of snacks for the animals when you walk in. But multiple sticks for the budgies, that was one of the best parts of the entire day. You get to see quite a bit of animals. They all look very happy and well taken care of. Got to listen to one of the zoo keepers talk about how the monkeys are while he cleaned their area. Always great to learn from the staff. Everyone was so friendly.

Had a blast! So much to see and I LOVED that I could live on some cows in the feeding zone/petting zone. Miracle Whip was the sweetest and Feta the cow is just greedy. The Boardwalk Safari was adorable, I really enjoyed it. Overall, we had a fulfilled day 🩵
Lauryn L — Google review
The zoo is a small zoo, they do have a train that does a "safari" tour which is our favorite part honestly. They have all kinds of turtles, tortoises, birds, monkeys, lemurs. The more interesting animals they have are anteaters, lions, kangaroos, Indian and white Rhinos, Pigmy & Nile Hippos, Gorillas, Giraffes and Black Bears. They also have maned wolves and 3 & 2 toed slothes. They overall are a good zoo, the only water fountain is in the gift shop but you can get water refills in the snack bar. They have little wagons available to rent and it's only about $10. They have a bundle for feeding zoo animals available, they have a nice playground for kids too. You need cash to be able to get drinks from vending machines placed throughout the zoo and they only take singles and half the machines don't work. The encounters have to be bought at least 24 hours previously to going to the zoo. Hope this all helps Also, you must wait in line at the counter in order to enter whether you have already purchased your tickets or not
Yenia F — Google review
This is a wonderful zoo. It was very clean and very family friendly. So many different places that you could feed the animals and interact with them. There were people walking around telling you about the different animals, their names, and how long they had been there. They also have a train that's included in the price of admission. Really cool!

We visited for our sons 4th birthday! This was our first trip and we underestimated the size. Our next trip will be earlier in the day so we are able to enjoy the food, snacks, and train ride. We loved feeding the giraffes, and the highland cows were the sweetest! We enjoyed the safari walk, too!
Kourtney A — Google review
Smaller zoo, but they make great use of the space. The effort to animal ratio is great, and there are well placed refreshments stands. Very kid friendly with rentable wagons and a playground. The animals were all accessible and viewable. Multiple feeding and interaction opportunities with varying species.

Really neat idea. Enjoy just observing artwork and messages or add your own as well! Gravel parking for maybe up to 20 cars. Just to be aware, not a smooth surface, but a natural pebble and rock walking surface.

I love Pensacola. The Graffiti Bridge area is soo beautiful and serene. With people boating or jet skiing or painting something quirky on the bridge, it's such a fun representation of our beautiful town.

The graffiti bridge was amazing beautiful colors and everything little walking paths and I advise if you come here bring a lock and lock it on the fence.

Laguna's Beach Bar + Grill is not just a place to eat, it's an all-day destination. With over 600 feet of coastline, visitors can enjoy thrilling activities like zip line rides and rope courses or catch their favorite sports team on the largest waterfront screen on Pensacola Beach. The menu offers a variety of options from crispy mozzarella cheese sticks to delectable desserts.
Nicole, James and Jason are AMAZING! The best service EVER. Helped with drink order and made sure we got to enjoy the fire pit. Personally delivered food and made us feel like we were home. Laguna’s is a must stop every time I visit Pensacola. I recommend it every opportunity I get because of them. I really can’t praise enough. Unfortunately, there isn’t a New Orleans location but they have perfected southern hospitality and the food tastes like it’s straight from the Deep South! Definitely the best place to try if you want the best experience!

You have to stop here if you are visiting going to Pensacola Beach with kids. Entire staff is very friendly from the window to buy tickets, to the bar tender, the girls on the ropes course and the guys running the go karts, especially Walt. Walt was great with adults and kids! We stopped by on 8/4. The girls on the ropes were very engaging and making jokes with us. The guys running the go karts were so chill and engaging with customers. The entire staff made this a 5 star experience. My 14yo loved everything they had to offer. I didn’t see 1 kid unhappy on the 3 story ropes course and the go karts. The food and drinks were better than a few places nearby (ie Senor Frogs). We purchased a 4 hours pass on 8/3, which I highly recommend to maximize the fun. A storm blew in about 5 minutes later. They gave us a rain check for the next night. No pushback or anything. Seriously, they provide exceptional customer service. The atmosphere and offerings are perfect for a family with little kids and teenagers.

By far the best food on the beach. We went here as a backup option and we didn’t regret it. The set up is fun that you have options for the kids to play, adults to enjoy a drink and plenty of TV options to watch sports. They also have a lot events that going on. As for the food, The portion size is great and the food was served hot and fresh. Mahi Mahi was perfectly cooked with great seasoning. The burger was seasoned well and cooked fantastic with great fries. The chips and salsa kicked off with a bang with fresh hot chips and a very good salsa. The manager was the one who served us while also making the food and he killed it. Just an overall incredible place and highly recommend it.

Brought my kids and friends here for the adventure area. We paid 50.00 per person to have access to the zip line, splash pad and go carts. Everyone enjoyed themselves. We didn't purchase any food or drinks while here. Parking is kinda horrible though. Very tight spaces and if 1 person parks where they are not supposed to, it'll block in dozens of people.

Best service ever! What a team and Dylan is the coach always pumping up the crew when the place is packed. Was in the industry for 20 year in my youth and this kind of leadership and enthusiasm is what makes a great place. Not to mention Dylan makes the best margaritas I’ve ever had!

We had a great waitress! She told us what was good to eat and suggested things we could do in the area. Food was good and beer was cold (but no draft) My husband had the Philly cheesesteak and I had Mahi the kids got pizza and pretzel bites and a ceasar wrap. Food was delicious and the bay was beautiful to look at during dinner!

My goodness! What a spectacular day my Babies had yesterday at Laguna's ❤️ Thanks so much for the AMAZING CREW that made the day so great! Barney is a great host and caretaker of guests! Casper and Jason were amazing helping my babies be brave on the zip! And I can't leave out the coolest bartender Dylan! There's another little sweetheart that I didn't get her name helping with the kids too. Like I said, all around AMAZING DAY!!!!!

Beautiful forrest on the coast. With pretty trails and a nice beach. A lot of wildlife.

We hiked 7 miles covering numerous trains within the park. The trail was nice, but a bit boring. Also, the sand on the trails - in many places - were quite loose making it somewhat difficult to walk.

The Breckenridge nature trail was a fun trail to hike through. We saw some wildlife. The observation point overlooking the bay was great. The visitor center was closed. Make sure to have bug spray on you to keep mosquitos and flies away.

Regarding the NW portion of the park. There is a picnic area and bathroom facilities. The bathrooms were closed during my visit. It could have been due to the freezing temps the night before or just a season thing. The part of the trail I walked was mostly soft sand. At the first west boundary there is a gate and it appears this is a regular entrance for people. I certainly plan to revisit at a later date to explore the other parts.

3/27/2025: Small art museum in the historic district of Pensacola. I’m not a big art gallery person, but this self guided tour was part of the full ticket we purchased, so we checked it out while we were there. It took us about 25 minutes to see all the exhibits. It’s worth the time to check it out.
Lauri B — Google review
Admittedly, the museum is small, and its current layout may feel limited. At the moment, only one floor is open, mainly showcasing local or regional contemporary creations, which may not appeal to all visitors. There is a small engraving by Goya and a piece by Gallé, though these are discreetly placed and easy to overlook. I remembered, from a visit about twenty years ago, a respectable collection of 19th-century American paintings that I found of real interest. It's unclear whether this has been moved or replaced temporarily, possibly to make room for the upcoming exhibition (apparently focused on aquatic themes, based on what's being prepared upstairs). Of course, this is only a matter of personal taste. I hope that the museum’s promise of being “more than a museum,” as stated on the poster outside, will be realized in future exhibitions. For now, I personally found the current offering rather underwhelming. The French-language signage is somewhat tucked away in a back corridor, currently closed to children’s activities. That said, the staff were very welcoming, admission was reduced (6 instead of 12 dollars), and the ticket is valid for a week and also gives access to other museums in the city—which is a definite plus. The temperature inside, thanks to the building's history as a former prison, is pleasantly cool.
François L — Google review
This art gallery currently has some interesting but very disturbing works on display (August 2025). I couldn’t quite understand the motivation behind the exhibition, which felt more suited to a dedicated contemporary art venue.. especially because the pieces have such a provoking character. The “Duality” exhibition on the second floor was intense. For example, one piece showed a twisted, uprooted tree hanging from above, and beneath it a torn-up patch of grass resembling a grave, where several maggots were arranged around two dead hands. This is not for children… my son, looking at it, couldn’t understand what he was seeing. Personally, I also found the “church tank” and some hanging udders difficult to take in within the context of a city museum. I don’t feel that the Museum of Art is the right environment for these works, and I wouldn’t take my kids back here. Ticket: We got a combined ticket for the Museum of History, the Art Gallery, and the Historic Village.. $12 for adults and $7 for kids. It’s a good deal if you want a first look into Pensacola’s culture and history all in one day. Museum Store: yes

Very small, very personal exhibition with a few nice pieces and a historic setting inside and old jail. The centerpiece down stairs was basically the highlight of the trip. The lady at the front desk was nice and sociable and there was an art class during my visit that was full underway.
Michael R — Google review
This is a very nice museum and staff. The location is great and it was my first stop and where I learned that I could pay $10 and visit other museums as long as I had my receipt. It last 7 days except for the ticket bought on Sunday. That ticket is only $5 because only 3 museums open and expired that day. The special exhibit is the Seance by American artist Shannon Taggart. It’s quite interesting and helps to see how others think etc. There are paintings on the 2nd floor. They are by different artist. There is a gift shop. I love art and if you are the same, highly recommend touring this museum!

We visited on Labor Day Saturday. Parking is along the street means you may have a bit of a walk. Buying entrance to one historical area, gives you entrance to a number of others in the area. Very good value for the money. Downstairs has some nice pieces. Upstairs is for the touring exhibit. A very nice museum for a smaller town.

My son absolutely loved it here. Upstairs has a kids version of Publix, Drs Office (with an ambulance and CT scan machine), and old school classroom!! He LOVED 'grocery shopping' on his own, being a doctor, and a teacher as well!!

My family visited the Pensacola Children’s Museum on April 8, 2025. My kids had an absolute blast and did I honestly. They have a small Publix grocery store which we all were enjoying ourselves before having to visit the small doctors office and laboratory on the second floor. On the first floor you will have a small fort, trading post, and little cottage. Definitely a great place for kids to explore and it’s relatively cheap entertainment for the kids and even better the museum tickets are good for 7 days for all museums.

So much fun! Took my 11 month old and my 1 1/2 year old niece. They loved it. I'm so glad they have a place like this for little ones to just be kids, be free to explore, and interact. Free if you're a student or have EBT/Snap, ticket gives you access for 7 days and to other museums. If you're looking for a place to take your crawling baby or walking toddler, this is it!
Carolina H — Google review
My 3 year old loves this place. It is smaller but the activities are age appropriate and fun to where she wanted to stay and go in and out of each of the rooms for hours. It's definitely worth the money. My only problem is that it would be nice for the parents to tidy up after their kids are finished with an activity so that the next child can enjoy it.
Lawryn M — Google review
Mostly a small play place for very young children than a "museum." Three main play areas that the kids seem to enjoy: Publix shopping store, medical clinic, and old time farming. Says it's for 0 to 8, but likely more toddler to age five. Where the displays seem to fall short is interaction with the child except the toy areas mentioned above.

Super nice beach, I've never been to Pensacola, so I didn't know you pay $1.00 Everytime you go over some of their bridge's, so be prepared. The beach it's self was super clean, tons of room for everyone. But with that being said, sand fleas are a huge problem. I was told after 2 days at the beach. You can prevent from getting them but using meet products.

Seville Quarter is a sprawling entertainment complex in downtown Pensacola, featuring 7 themed rooms that cater to a variety of tastes. Since its establishment in 1967, it has been a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. Each room, including Rosie O'Gradys, Phineas Phoggs, Lili Marlenes, Apple Annies, Fast Eddies, End o the Alley and Palace Cafe has its own unique atmosphere.
This place is insanely cool, we are definitely going back when we can. The building is gorgeous, like late 1800s - early 1900s, wood and iron, with real gas lamps. They have a bunch of different rooms with totally different themes - there's a cocktail bar with live music where we ate dinner (which was delicious- definitely recommend the shrimp tacos and the French dip sandwich), a sports bar with arcade cabinets and pool tables, a courtyard bar with cast iron tables and a live band, a karaoke bar, and a piano bar. There may be more, I don't remember offhand, but we could easily spend a whole night here.
Rachael H — Google review
As a Brit, I really love the character and history of Seville Quarter. The space is full of old world charm—exposed brick, wrought iron, and cozy nooks that reminded me a lot of home. Which is no surprise, as Pensacola’s colonial history includes British rule, and you can feel that influence in the architecture and vibe. It also gave me strong French Quarter energy—specifically, it reminded me of Pat O’Brien’s in New Orleans, with the open-air courtyard and multi-room layout, perfect for exploring. Very cool to see that kind of old European atmosphere in Florida. Food was just okay - nothing to write home about, and I’ve only visited during quieter times, which suited me just fine, but I’ve heard it gets packed on weekends and holidays. Definitely planning to come back when it’s livelier. A must-see if you enjoy historic bars with unique personality.

What a beautiful building! There are multiple themed areas with individual bars/ food service in each. Tours given upon request and they also offer a ghost tour. The live music in the courtyard was fantastic. Check out the store on your way and grab some great wines and/or whiskeys!

Cool history at Seville Quarter. Ask bar tender about history and "true" ghost stories. Food and service also great.
Mike W — Google review
Seville Quarter is hands down one of the best nightlife spots in Pensacola! The atmosphere is electric from the moment you walk in. The piano bar is an absolute standout — lively, interactive, and full of talent. The musicians keep the energy high with great crowd engagement and fun song choices that get everyone singing along. The dance floor is just as exciting, with a great mix of music and a vibrant crowd that makes it easy to have a great time whether you're out with friends or celebrating something special. Every corner of Seville Quarter offers a slightly different vibe, which makes it perfect for bouncing between experiences all in one night. The staff was friendly, the drinks were solid, and the whole place had that perfect mix of historic charm and party energy. It’s an unforgettable spot and an absolute must-visit if you're in Pensacola looking for a fun night out!

This is a great place to hangout and meet new people. End of the Alley was my wife and I’s personal favorite. It has a super comfy dive bar feel. The staff and guests were all very friendly and sparking up conversations was incredibly easy. The bartender Megan makes you feel completely at home and welcomed. Absolutely loved this place!
Matthew G — Google review
I love going here. Some of the bartenders are extremely nice and provide great service, but the tall, African American man that works in the live music room is extremely unpleasant every time I go there. He either completely ignores me until I leave or is rude. He's only actually helped me once and never again. Last weekend I ordered 2 shots for my friend and I and we were already drunk. He didn't ask for my card or anything and I opened a tab in another room and forgot to open one with him. He handed me the drinks and waited for us to turn and walk away and loudly announced that we needed to pay for that. The group next to us ooh'd and ahh'd. He embarrassed us on purpose the ONE time he made our drink out of dozens of times we've come here. Otherwise, the food is phenomenal. The wings in particular. But the bartenders don't care for your comfort. I told one we were being followed and showed her who and she shrugged and said he's a regular.

The smaller beach sections on the Sound side are a great accompaniment to the Gulf side beaches. Sometimes the water on the Gulf side isn’t the best for swimming for any number of reasons, that’s a great time to head to the sound. The fishing is just as fun but is different than the Gulf side, and you get some really nice sunsets. You can rent jet skies and boats and other rideables. The fort, the pier, gift shop did not disappoint. The views, the Gulf, the Beach were easily accessible and the water was perfect! The campground was clean, however the bathrooms were dated and not air conditioned. No sewer so bring an external waste tank. In summer months, it will be hot, not many sites with trees for larger RVs. Overall, a great location for beach and family time.

This is a must-see if you are in the pensacola area! The fort is in pretty good shape and takes a little time to explore everything. It's full of historical placards that give you a perspective back in time from the soldiers to the enslaved prisoners. Also, the beaches in the park are the best beaches in the area, no buildings, no high-rise hotels, no rental chairs taking up the entire beach. Don't get me wrong by noon it's lined with people, but not everywhere. I was able to get some good shots without people or things in them. If you are into history, 10 out of 10 recommend visiting. Unfortunately, if you have difficulty walking on uneven surfaces or steep steps, there will be places you'll have difficulty with. Outside the fort is sidewalk, and inside the fort is brick.

We are local to the Florida/Alabama Gulf Coast! Visiting the Fort and the park is always a treat. It’s a great place to watch the Blue Angels practice as well. If you like to camp I highly recommend their campgrounds, but check vehicle height restrictions prior to booking. A beautiful fort! Open every fourth Friday of the month. Wear sneakers to avoid sand spurs and ants. The people who work here are friendly and informative. Educational and well maintained!

Informative, and fun way to get a bit of walking in! The docent at the visitor center was welcoming and knowledgeable. He got us oriented and on our way quickly. Our kids are 6 and 2 and all steps/walking paths are good for them. The exterior had a lot of open space keep the 2 year old happy for running and exploring. We'll be back for sure.

We visited Fort Barrancas about 3 weeks ago because it is not only a beautiful historic place to visit but also a great place to take amazing pictures. We took my son there for senior pictures. These images are just the quick snaps I was able to get while the photographer was doing her thing. You will see my son had a little fun at the cannon posing as Captain Morgan lol. On a side note, my husband & I came here to take engagement photos back in 2004 & they turned out amazing as well. Another note I should mention is before going, is to check their hours of operation bc we showed up just before closing so we had to rush. Also, you can schedule a tour & get great historical info from the knowledgeable staff that works there as well. What a great city we live in to be able to be transported back in time for just a little while & slow down for a change even if it is just for an hour or two. I enjoyed the serenity of it all & didn't want to leave.

Small but very well done, the National Park Service has done a bang up job making an old fort into a beautiful area to wander, enjoy the sunshine, wander the long corridors inside the fortifications, and receive a good education about how European conflicts as well as the American Civil War were part of the history of this area. Because of the beautiful open areas and underground tunnels, there's a bit for everyone, including those who like to watch jets and Navy trainer aircraft fly by. If you like history, be sure to spend time to read the various boards in the small but we'll organized visitor center.

As you might know by now, I love going to visit historic forts. This is inside the Naval Air Station. This one is an amazing fort, from its location to the role it played in history. I would say this is a must fort to visit. I would recommend you watch the 12-minute video they have available before you had out to see this historic place. Everything you will see will have a meaning, and you will then begin to imagine how things happened. What a beauty of a place. You really need to take some time when you are there. This is a place where you can't rush it. If you like these types of historic places, you will enjoy everything from the walls to the hallways to the design. I Know I am uploading pictures that might cause you to wonder why those pictures. Well, when you go there, you will say, oh I see why. I would come back here just because I think this is a cool place to visit.

Beautifully maintained fort that you can roam for hours if you choose. The history of this area is unique and worth learning about. Highly recommend stopping here and talking with the employees. The 10 minute video was a great introduction and the fort did not disappoint. Thanks for a wonderful stop on my vacation!

Another fantastic historic American fort to bring the family to. It's safe and has a lot of neat places to explore. Make sure everyone who's an adult brings an ID. It's inside the Naval Base.

Fantastic National Park location. You can explore most of this fort on your own and also get a great view of Fort Pickens across Pensacola Bay. The ranger tour is available on the weekends and is well worth it to learn the how the fort was constructed and its history. Highly recommend the Advanced Readout tour if you are more adventurous. This second site (not far from the visitor center) is only accessible with the ranger tour and takes you through the abandoned structure complete with dark passageways and potential encounters with bats, snakes and other local fauna. Not suitable for young children. The fort is located on the Naval Air Station, so you will need to pass through a checkpoint and show ID to get to the fort. There is limited RV parking at the visitor center, so you may want to call ahead and ensure that there is space to park if you are driving a larger rig. The Junior Ranger program for this site is part of the larger Gulf Islands National Seashore booklet, but there are a couple of activities based on exploring the fort or walking on the .5 mile woodland nature trail near the visitor center.

Located in Pensacola Beach, Florida, Paradise Bar & Grill is a top eatery known for its casual beach-shack vibe and lively atmosphere. Situated steps away from the sand and surf, this award-winning open-air bar and grill offers some of the best food on the island with waterfront views of Santa Rosa Sound. Visitors can enjoy quick bites, great drinks, and live music performances by talented bands playing on the Gulf Coast.
This is a place where Lieutenant Dan would drink at. Great divey vibey beach bar. Open air. Great service. Happy hour includes $3 domestic bottles. Crowd seemed to be a bunch of locals. They had another bar, but it wasn't running since it was a slower crowd for a Monday night. They had an awesome stage set up for the lives bands. The back area overlooks the bay. Just an all around great laid back, low key, fun place to grab a drink.

Stumbled across this place by pure accident for the 4OJ & couldn’t have been happier we did. Considering how busy it was, our server was attentive and friendly from the moment we sat ourselves. Food was great (hot dog & fried fish basket). Ending up with a front row seat to the fireworks show was just the cherry on top. Keep being great Paradise, we will be back!!

Paradise Bar & Grill: Beachy Vibes, Bummer on the Bites (2.5 Stars) Paradise Bar & Grill on Pensacola Beach came highly recommended for its affordable eats and drinks. Unfortunately, our experience fell a bit flat. Great Location & Ambiance: This place has a lot of potential! Right on the beach with tons of seating, it looked like it could be a fun spot when there's a crowd. Kitchen Closed, Fun Shut Down: The major downside? We arrived to discover the kitchen was closed, which was a huge disappointment after a paid ride there. Service & Drinks: The atmosphere was pretty dead during our visit, and the beer wasn't very cold. Overall: Paradise Bar & Grill gets a 2.5-star rating. The location and beach setting are great, but our experience was hampered by the closed kitchen, lack of atmosphere, and warm beer. If you consider going, call ahead to confirm kitchen hours to avoid a similar disappointment.

Great spot, with really good bar food. This hidden gem is a locals hang out with one of the best locations. Tucked away near the sound with a long pier and sandy beach with lots of tables and chairs it's a beach lovers paradise. We came in February and the main bar area had the flaps down to help keep out the wind but still charming. Service was good as well with bar service and back of house speed and accuracy. I cant remember our servers name but she was very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be going back. Updated February 2023 We stopped in for lunch and found Paradise just as accommodating as before. Service still good, maybe a little slower due to number of servers but still good and they told us we apologize we are running short staff today. But all in all they did a good job and food was delicious as usual. Today was mullet special day and while it looked delicous I opted for the rueben and it was quite good. The potato salad was heavy on the mayo but the sandwich was good. Our shrimp platter was more than we could handle but the shrimp was fried well and the fries were unbelievable. Crispy on the outside and like mashed potato on the inside. Updated August 2025 Still cool vibe and great service. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and found them busy but not packed. Lindsey behind the bar was friendly and helpful. I had the flounder Poboy and it was perfect. The fun was soft on the outside and lightly toasted and butter on the inside. The flounder was cooked perfectly and nestled inside the buns with tomatoes, onions and lettuce serve with some tartar sauce on the side and the coleslaw. Perfection. Specials: Thursday is mullet day and “get here early”. We will definitely be going back again! UrbanCowgill

This is the best spot in Pensacola beach! My family and I (from MN) have been coming for years and it's always our favorite. Best hushpuppies ever. Good for kids to run around outside, can even get in the water.

Service was very poor. While the girl who helped us was very sweet and over all happy in spite of the fact that she had seven (seven!) tables to take care, took an hour to get our food. The appetizers were not fresh and portions were very small and tasted like they came out of the freezer section of Walmart. The drinks we ordered were watered down like the ice had melted. We usually split an entree. We ordered the blue cheeseburger but there was no blue cheese on our burger. The only positive on this visit was the fries. They were crispy and fresh. This was our third visit and since the other two visits were similar, this will be our last. This place needs either new management or ownership, lots of good places to eat other than this. Hugely disappointed

Went there on a Saturday with the wifey and already knew we'd love this place..Atmosphere and ambiance was fantastic. Food was good and inexpensive for the quality it was...Drinks were phenomenal and not that pricey. Sunset was incredible and we'd definitely go back...I'd rank this place as highly recommended by myself and my wife. Great place to visit and leave your worries at home.

Did a quick stop to grab a bite. It was a great choice. The food was great the drink options were great. They had live music that was festive but not stupid loud. Overall it's a great spot to grab a bite and have a couple cold ones for the ride along the coast. Don't be put off by the portion sizes... They were too good to wait on a pic.

O'Zone Pizza Pub is a laid-back spot that serves up a variety of classic and specialty pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and an array of beers on tap. The restaurant is known for its Roman-style dough and inventive flavors that set their pies apart. For example, the Ponderosa Stomp features bacon, roasted chicken, green peppers, red onions in a cheddar cheese blend with house barbecue sauce and honey drizzle.
The pita bread that came with the hummus was addicting and the pizza was great!! We got the pub pizza and nutty idea! The nutty idea was highly recommended to me by a colleague and I don’t regret getting it at all! The cashews give such a nice crunch and it tastes really good with the toppings. I like more veggies on my pizzas, so I would probably add some more veg to the original pie!

This place is Phenomenal! Absolutely Loved 💯 the Meatlovers Pie! The peach tea was delicious. Our waiter was Amazing! We sat in a side room with 3 young kids. I highly recommend this Pizza place and definitely will eat here again. It was thin crust and cooked to Perfection

You ask Pensacola locals what the best pizza in town is, and O'Zone is sure to at least come up in the conversation. Close to being a city institution, this place is located inside an abandoned mental hospital, or something like that. Either way, the vibe is dark and cool, almost speak-easy like. And there's groovy artwork all over the walls and stuff. Very cool. Service was good. They let us move chairs around to accommodate our party size. Nice fella. The pizza itself was phenomenal. I hadn't had it in over a decade, so back then I was a literal child. Now that I've seen some stuff, I recognized the great pizza here. That, or they upgraded their recipe in the past 10 years or so. Either way. As for the pies, we ordered the Ponderosa Stomp and the Carnivore for the table. Both were very good. The sweet heat of the honey and the jalapeno just lovely, and the addition of the cream cheese, that traditionally pairs well with both those things, was just lovely. And the Carnivore was pretty good, too. It had a good array of meats, and not too meaty, just meaty enough. A nice pie. Overall, an excellent evening meal. Great pizza, great friends, and a new place for me to frequent when I come back home to visit.

Gluten free crust is very good. Not rock hard but airy & crispy. It was cooked perfectly and the gluten free cheese bread (same crust) was delightful with the garlic butter. Carry out was a 10min wait but it was fresh fresh! Will definitely order again.

The staff were pleasant and accommodating even though they were busy. The food was amazing. The spinach artichoke dip and flat bread is fantastic. My kids loved the ham and pineapple pizza and even ate the crust. The Greek salad was top notch. Everything was fresh and delicious we loved the vinaigrette. Then comes the ponderosa stomp. I've had a lot of different pizzas from alot of places. This might be my favorite. We got it with the cream cheese and jalapeños so so good. Highly recommended
Josh D — Google review
The pizza was edible. Not much flavor. The crust was very blah. The price for 1 large pizza, 1 Sprite and a side salad was $40. The service was okay. They serve can drinks so no refills. The best part of the restaurant is that it is an old hospital and has cool artifacts in the halls.

The Saenger Theatre is a huge and opulent theater located on Palafox Street in downtown Baton Rouge. It has been in operation since 1925 and is known as the Grand Dame of Palafox Street by locals. The theater accommodates more than 1600 people, and features Broadway shows, concerts, and classic films.
The Saenger Theatre in beautiful downtown Pensacola was the perfect setting for this amazing event... Seeing William Shatner in person was a real blast and the front row seats definitely made it even better and worth the extra cost... No matter the event, this theater is beautiful, historic, and a great place to be in. Get your tickets for whatever event you wish and experience this classic location.

Beautiful venue and acoustics for musical concerts and other performing arts. Just enjoyed the 100th year celebration of the theater. There's plenty of affordable paid parking and restaurants in the general area of the theater
Larry A — Google review
Saw the showing of Beetlejuice (the movie) here. Super cool venue with tons of seating and since it was general admission we were able to try lots of different angles. There were a few cons to the experience. Firstly the theater “Marshalls” did nothing to keep people from talking incessantly. I get that it is an older movie, but there should be some level of decorum kept. Secondly, they cut off booze sales with about 30 minutes left in the show. I understand there might be liability issues, but everywhere else downtown lets you drink till you leave, so it just feels underwhelming to get cut off with time restrictions. Overall a net positive, and would definitely return for future events.
Jrock — Google review
Beautiful theater! Seems like no "bad" seats for view, but they could have had more leg room...my knees hit the seat in front of me (I'm avg size). I guess it's a product of it's age. Very nice volunteer ushers! Overall great experience.

Beautiful theater, lots of history there. We watched the Rock orchestra by candle light, loved them! The theater chairs were very uncomfortable, and small, we were packed in there like sardines. I know the building is old, the air quality was lacking, it brought on an asthma attack. Had my inhaler in the car, so it was ok. Would I go again? Yes indeed. However, I will plan ahead, and be mindful of the seating, and take allergy meds prior to going, and have my inhaler with me! Lol

Absolutely beautiful place , the staff were great . This was my first time going .. it was really great timing for me I lost my furson Maltese of 14 years on Christmas Day and that was my first time leaving my home .. so happy I did. I got to see the great Drifters, Coasters, Platters , what a fantastic performance.. My era of music . The best part was when Thomas from the Drifters called me of all people up on the stage to dance with him , the song was , &"Save the last dance for me " perfect song, I used to dance with my little furson 🐶 Q day that was one of the songs we danced to so it was quiet magical. I danced with him up until he took his last breath . That was always our thing .. so this really meant a lot to me ♥️ I wish I could have gotten a picture of us ... I'm looking forward to going back .. The staff were really nice ..

Veterans Memorial Park in Pensacola is a serene and tranquil park that pays homage to America's military history. The park features numerous war and military monuments set around a peaceful pond where ducks and turtles can be spotted. It is a compelling place for visitors to reflect and learn about the sacrifices made by United States service members. Notably, the well-known Wall South, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., stands as one of the poignant monuments within the park.
I love this park. It's absolutely stunning and pays homage to all of the branches of the military. They even have a miniature version of the Vietnam Memorial Wall. It's beautiful and sad also to see soo many names and to know how many lives were lost. There are ponds and ducks, and everyone should stop by and really admire the beauty and the history.

Pensacola Dog Beach is a gem for dog lovers! Finding a clean, well-kept beach where dogs are not only allowed but genuinely welcomed is such a relief. The area is marked for pets, and there's plenty of space for dogs to run, swim, and play. The beach is beautiful—white sand, clear water, and amazing views. There are waste stations with bags provided, which is super helpful and encourages everyone to keep the area clean. Most dog owners we encountered were very responsible and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Just a heads-up: it can get hot, so be sure to bring water and maybe an umbrella for shade. Also, the leash rules are posted and worth reading so everyone stays safe and respectful. Overall, Pensacola Dog Beach is a fantastic spot for anyone traveling with a dog or just wanting to enjoy a more relaxed, pet-friendly stretch of the coast. Highly recommend it!

It was the first time that we took our dog to the beach. It was a wonderful experience. Our dog had a blast and so did we. The spacing is a little restricted with signs indicating where the dog beach begins and ends. It would have been awesome if there was a faucet or something to wash the sand off before getting him back in the car. Leash can be no longer than 8 feet.

During the weekdays this spot isn't too crowded but the weekend its a too small of space for dogs. Very over crowded and dogs too close to each other.

It’s a really cool place—a beach just for dogs. My two pups had a great time chasing birds and playing in the waves.
Jennifer N — Google review
The beach was clean. The sand was white and powdery and I found a few cool shells. It was busy but not over crowded. The dog access area was not a large area, considering how large the beach actually is but it was plenty of room for the amount of dogs that were there. All the pups were well behaved and seemed to enjoy themselves. We've been here twice and will continue to visit this beach.

Absolutely LOVED this beach! Super clean, everyone was friendly, not crowded at all, and all the puppers were well behaved and cared for! We really enjoyed watching everyone spending good quality time with their families and fur babies! There are posts up for this particular section of the beach to keep your dogs within range, but it was still plenty for us to hang out and walk around in. Can't complain when there are so few dog friendly beaches to choose from. We will definitely be back!

The manager, whose name I think is Mike was so very friendly!! And Christa the chef and she was the same. I must have stayed in store 15 minutes conversing. It’s located on Palafox street which seems to be the place to be in downtown Pensacola. And owned by a professional golfer named Bubba Watson. Such a cool brewery conveniently located right near all of the good stuff in downtown Pensacola, FL. Our bartender Stephanie was super helpful in helping us choose beers that we would like, and their merch selection was great! Definitely a brewery that I would love to visit again!

My husband and I stopped into Perfect Plain while brewery hopping in Pensacola, and it was my favorite one of the day. We got a couple of flights to try multiple beers, and they were all very good. Added bonus: they had televised pig races on TV. I don't know if the pig races are a standard occurrence, but it certainly made for an entertaining afternoon.

Most breweries in Pensacola close at 10 pm. The fact that they're open until midnight on Thursday and 1 am on Friday and Saturday is 5-stars for me! I only had their lime lager on my quick visit, which tasted good.

We used the Greenhouse in the back of Perfect Plain for our wedding rehearsal dinner and welcome party and we couldn't recommend it more! The space was perfect for what we needed. The bartenders were so cool, Jadyn helped everything run smoothly, and the drinks were delicious. We used the taco truck catering and it was so yummy - we had so many compliments on it! Everybody had an amazing time!

Great location and facility. Lots of good hand crafted brews. Outdoor area in the back is nice with plenty of seating and a full bar. There is also a food truck. We were just having a couple of beers but have heard the food truck has some good grub. We'll be going back! UrbanCowgill February 2023

Great place! Bartenders are awesome, great beer and beverages as well as food. We were able to sample the fair from Perfect Plain, Perennial and Garden & Green. Wonderful! A must stop on your Pensacola trip.

July 2025 - Are any beers made on premises any more? I saw so many Urban South kegs, it looks like the beers are coming in from New Orleans. And from where I sat, the power to the brew line was shut off. Doesn't look like any brewing is going on here. The beers are decent, but are you really a local brewery any more? October 2022 - Great beers served in a superb downtown location. Big fan of their Buzzer Beater!

The Fish House is a popular seafood restaurant in Pensacola, known for its delicious menu and lively atmosphere. With over two decades of experience, the restaurant offers a variety of brunch and dinner options, including the must-try Duck and Waffles for brunch and the special Swordfish au Poivre for dinner. The casual waterfront eatery overlooks the picturesque Pensacola Bay and also features a bar with live music nightly.
Stayed till close the week of my birthday. Every meal we ordered was delicious. Stuffed flounder and Pecan crusted catfish were our favorites. The service was great. Enjoyed the oysters and the drinks! Had no room for the complimentary birthday dessert. I chose the Key Lime Pie. I ate it a few days later, and it was still yummy. I look forward to my next visit here.

Dropped by with friends while on vacation and loved it. Great food , attentive server and fun atmosphere. The seafood basket was outstanding! The fried shrimp excellent. My wife and her mother were going to split an entree and the server had the kitchen do it and presented two plates with the food already split! A very thoughtful gesture. The fried green tomatoes had a delightful flavor with just the right amount of spiciness. Definitely will return when back in thr area.

We have been Vacationing in Pensacola Beach 🏖️ area. We visited the huge restaurants on the Island-Founders & 🦀 Crabs. They were good. We needed another restaurant for our last night. We searched online for ideas. The Fish House stood out in our research. We decided to go visit The Fish House!! It was later dinner & they were busy. There’s a large porch though with plenty of waiting space. They have tons of outdoor seating. Huge patio spaces with cover & open air spaces. The marina is there. You are overlooking the Bay when seating outside. We were seated inside in one of their huge dining rooms. But our table was on a step area so it felt more private. There are huge Aquariums in the dining room with lots of colorful fish. 🐟 fun to watch all those fish 🐠! Service was amazing! Our Server did a great job take care of us all evening. We ordered 2 entrees. Fried oysters 🦪 -a dozen along with cole slaw, Gouda grits, & about a dozen hush puppies too! By the way, some of the best Hush Puppies ever! My husband loved his dinner. He said the Oysters 🦪 were perfect. Grits were delicious! I ordered Catfish lightly breaded in pecan meal. The big fillet came over Gouda Grits & fresh thin Green Beans. It was delicious! I would definitely order this again! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Several other items were on the menu I would try too. We will be visiting The Fish House on our next trip to the area! Can’t wait! Yum!

I’ve been coming to the Fish House for many years and have always enjoyed dining there or even just getting some drinks and sitting out on the back patio. The service is always good and the menu is imaginative and chef inspired. Sushi Rolls, fresh seafood, and lots of other options. I’ve been a big fan of the ya ya shrimp. A delicious treat of smoked Gouda grits and fresh gulf shrimp, fantastic! The location is right on the water and downtown adjacent to the port. If you’re looking for fresh give em a try you won’t be dissatisfied. I’ll definitely be back. Urban Cowgill 2009 - 2025

We went to The Fish House mid-day for an early dinner. We had a party of six with my two elderly grandparents. They had ramps outside the restaurant, so it made it easier for them to get in. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was cozy and inviting. The food was great! We got an assortment of different foods including the famous Grits À Ya Ya. Everything was delicious! Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the Pensacola area!

The ambiance was good and so was the food. We at first were seated outside and it had an odor (my guess was that the water had collected under the patches of grass and it caused a slight odor), but when we asked to be moved to the inside, the staff was very hospitable and understanding. As to our meals, I had the vegetarian option, curried sweet potato, carrots and chick peas with bismati rice. It had a good flavor though it was lacking salt. The two friends I was with both thoroughly enjoyed their meals, a hamburger with fries and shrimp and grits. All in all a good experience.
Wanda C — Google review
Beautifully plated! You eat with your eyes first!! Unfortunately this dish was a big swing and a miss. What was supposed to be a glorious étouffée sauce ladled over the entree turned out to be an unflavored water like substance only. The fish was cooked properly but the overall dish was bland. The grits were bland….just meh! I know this place has the potential to do better but whoever plated this knew better .. the server and manager went to the back and checked the sauce and threw it out. Made new and brought me a sample of what should’ve been on the dish. It was excellent in appearance and taste which tells me the cooks knew in the back they shouldn’t have sent this plate out. management should’ve comped the entree entirely but chose not to .. flip a coin and decide for yourself.

Really lovely little spot to sit on the ocean. The patio is shaded in the afternoon and they have a ton of fans going, so even on a warm day it was a lovely experience. The shrimp and grits special -- Grits a Ya Ya -- was delicious, and I don't even typically like grits!

I love this park! It is a walk away and has two different dog parks, playgrounds, tennis courts, work out area and lots of trails. Add in boat ramps, senior center and a new community center and it is amazing. Only big downer is the water quality of the Bayou. The Dog Beach would be so much better if you didn’t have to worry about your dog getting sick from the water.

My dogs had so much fun here! It was a nice beach and clean. There's a house station where you can spray off and bowls for water. There are two gazebos with benches for people to sit. The is a very nice bathroom facility just outside the gate as well. Overall a fun time.

The park was really nice. There are picnic tables along the water. They have bathrooms for all and also a boat dock. Also a dock out over the water for fishing or just enjoying a stroll.
Belinda C — Google review
Great park in general. It is nice over looking the water. Good things to play for the children, to take your dog to run around dry or wet where they can play on the water. It's nice that they have things for the kids to run around with. But I think it would be nice to get overhaul and fix this park. People can reserve a spot for tables for pinics or parties. Plenty of parking spaces. Great place to launch your boat. It's a nice park and I think it could use a facelift from over the years of neglect. Hopefully when this place gets renovated, they will replace some of the play area.

This park was awesome! While visiting the area we came here several times with our pups. There was a dog friendly beach along with other fenced in dog areas. The Pensacola Dog Beach West is a smaller beach located close to the city center. It is perfect for dogs and their owners who want to take them for a walk on the sand.
Pensacola Dog Beach is a beautiful coastal escape where pups can splash, play, and soak up the sun — though leashes are required at all times.
Beautiful-Soul — Google review
It was great we found this beach, but very disappointing how small it is. It was our first vacation in the area and we discovered that there are no dog friendly beaches here… This one is, and that’s fantastic. However, it is only about 100 yards between designated markers, even though the empty beach goes east and west for miles. Then, out of sudden, a city pet control person showed up to check on all dogs and their owners. How difficult would be to make this dog beach 2-3 times longer so we all could spread out a little and enjoy it. The parking lot is small so we had to park along the road, which I don’t even know if it is legal. The parking lot at least had 2 porta potties, which seemed relatively clean. Again, very disappointing how the city (or the county) has to make it so difficult for dog owners.

A nice dog beach. It wasn't a big area for dogs to have space. But those beach was quieter than the other end. It was clean beach, too Bad the waves were rough during our vacation!

We loved being able to bring our pup to the beach to run and swim. She's a 5lb chihuahua and she had a blast. We changed plans last minute so that we could bring our pup and we are very happy with our decision. Our izzy enjoyed her beach time and chewing on seashells. Lots of pups were out. Large dogs and small dogs, well behaved, and leashed. Will definitely be back!
Chloe G — Google review
Nice beach. There is a port-a-potty in the parking lot for the humans. Clean beach, I saw no dog waste anywhere. I came between 8-9 AM on a Monday morning with my dog, only a handful of people there, I saw four dogs total, three that were swimming with their owners. There is no fresh water access or showers, you will need to bring bottled water and a dog dish for you & your puppy.

If you're on the hunt for an exhilarating experience, look no further than Radical Rides! Nestled along the picturesque boardwalk of Pensacola Beach, this vibrant establishment has been a staple in the community for over 25 years. Here, you can dive into adventure by renting jet skis, kayaks, or waverunners and even try your hand at parasailing.
Such a fun family adventure! I took my 8 and 10 year old boys with me, my 8 year volunteered us first to go. We shared a boat with 2 other families a total of 10 people on board plus Captain Chandler and the muscle/photographer Jason. Captain Chandler and Jason were amazing! Not only were they professional but they were fun and playful with the kids on board. As we were heading back to the dock, my 10 year old’s hat flew off, Captain Chandler excitedly yelled they were going back for it! Charlene and Jason successfully rescued my son’s hat 😊. It was a fun side adventure. I highly recommend it!

My wife and I were blessed to enjoy a Parasail ride this week with Radical Rides. I was a little worried, as my wife struggles with her balance and walks with a cane, but the Captain and First Officer were gracious and got her on the boat safely and then making sure she was well cared for during our ride. It might be the high point of our trip and we’re both glad we did it.

First timers! We had a great time and felt totally safe in the hands of our captain and his first mate. I can’t remember names, but one was bearded and the other had a ponytail. They were both super professional, attentive, and obviously concerned with making sure we had a great first time. We went up and came down smoothly, no issues. I was super nervous, but glad I did it. Our group opted not to “dip,” but my husband’s crew got “dipped”, which means as you’re coming down, they’ll drop you in just to dip you up and then bring you on board. It was neat! You go about 400ft up, and I personally don’t like heights but it’s a gradual climb and if you can just lean back and breathe, the nerves do fade. We had a 9:00am reservation and got there 30 minutes early. Our group was out on the water by 9:10 and the whole trip was about 45 minutes- 1 hour. They have a whole system of while one group is up, another is getting prepped. You’re only up for about ten minutes per group. If you go with Radical Rides, you’ll be well taken care of!

Old Hickory Whiskey Bar never disappoints. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and perfectly suited for a relaxing evening. The dim lighting, candle glow, and shelves lined with bottles give it that classic, almost timeless feel. I ordered a pour of Lagavulin 16, and it was served with care. It was the kind of attention you expect from people who genuinely appreciate good whiskey/scotch. The staff knew their stuff and made great recommendations without being pushy. It’s not a place for food, but it’s a place for conversation, good company, and enjoying a drink the way it’s meant to be enjoyed. One of those bars that makes you slow down and savor the moment.

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of playing at Tiger's Point! The maintenance of the course is like none other. We were able to keep great pace, the greens were fast, the fairways were beautiful, and everyone working in the pro shop was so friendly . It was such a fun course to play. The view was elite. We will definitely be coming back to Tiger's Point!!

Had a nice experience at Tiger Point today. Dave at the Pro shop was very friendly and provided detailed information about the cart, GPS system and the courses. At the first tee box, I was met with another hospitable and helpful marshal who would be nice enough to share some tips with me when I shared that's my first visit to the course. Tee fox and fairway quality: would rate it 4 stars because it's winter time and was not in the best conditions. Green quality: green speed was 11 when I played and they are really fast. Would rate it 4 stars as well due to weather condition. The Point restaurant: had a good late luch there after 18 holes. There's a good variety of drinks and food, including hot dishes. Value for money: 5 star. With $68 I couldnt expect more :) Overall experience: 4 stars, the course has some challenging holes with great view, will come back if I have another chance :)

Must play course in the panhandle area! It will not disappoint you! The entire condition of this facility is top notch. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were just exceptional. Layout is cool with challenges of some water but very fun and not too tough even if you are a high handicapper. And what’s even better ? For a resort town area golf course the fee of around $70- it puts all the area resort courses from Gulf Shores to Pensacola in the rear seat. No joke. And that’s not knocking Kiva Dunes or Craft Farms or any course in this area. It’s just that Tiger is that great. And around the 4th hole on this links course is a little bar and grill rest area. It’s pretty sweet. The clubhouse pro shop is tiny but has a few souvenirs if you’re visiting. And the staff was just incredible. Super accommodating and friendly. Can’t say enough about Tiger Point other than you’ve got to play it if you are in the area.

Rodney C — Google review
Played this course before and loved it. However, Sunday 10/05 we tried dining in and not so much the same experience. My Husband and I walked in on a Sunday afternoon to watch football, enjoy a meal, and some drinks while watching football. First thing was that we sat on a table outside the main bar but was considered "bar dining", waited about 20 minutes until even approached with menus and drink order. The young black hair bartender finally approached us and stated " is there anything I can get you other than water?" Unfortunately my ID expired recently and I was waiting for my new one in the mail. All I had was and ID that expired a month ago and my medical marijuana card. I presented both as I was carded, she asked if I had a paper copy of my ID by any chance which I did not and she then stated she would ask her manager (as some places understand that an expired ID doesn't mean my date of birth expired or also accept my med card since it is a government issued ID). At that time I was carded of course she also carded my husband which had a valid ID. She came back to tell me her manager said it will not be accepted. I said okay as I knew that was a possibility. She comes back for a third time to bring my husband his beer he ordered and while she has the beer in her hand she asks my husband AGAIN to see is ID. He asked "For What?" and she replied "My manager wanted me to make sure it wasn't expired". He laughed and handed it to her cause it was ridiculous. I understand my situation but does she not normally check for expiration or was it prejudgment because mine was expired they assumed my husbands was too and just assumed us 26 year old's were trying to pull a fast one on them? Either way, to double back as if you might have not checked the full validity of an ID and also not knowing what kind of IDs are acceptable shows poor judgement and training. Even after the whole carding Ideal, she brought my husbands beer out and asked me if she could get me anything else to drink. Um water? Isn't that part of your introduction... "Can I get you anything other than water?". Also service just was very poor. I had to keep getting up for additional menus for our other guest arriving and also for our Togo boxes, refills, and ticket. The person who helped me with those was a man behind the bar not even the server we had. In summary the course is beautiful and fun but will go down the road to Pedro's or another restaurant if we want good food and beverage service.
Aaliyah W — Google review
This is a great course with a friendly staff. The 3 Star rating is reflective of the instruction staff. Sheduled a lesson and showed up 30 min early. The pro shop staff gave me a bucket balls (cudos) and said to warm up and he'll let the pro know I was there. 45 min into the scheduled lesson time, no show. I went back to the pro shop and asked if the pro had arrived. He said he thought he went to the range and offered to text him. He didn't get an immediate response (10 min), so I left. I didn't get a follow up from the pro and he had my number. The next day I decided to text him to understand the no show. He indicated he had a mix up and apologized. I drove 30+ miles each way. He didn't ask if I wanted to reschedule? Again great course and staff and I recommend playing.. Everyone has a bad day. Just want to share my experience.

Visitors can enjoy uncrowded beaches, clear waters, and a variety of recreational activities such as walking, hiking, boating, and kayaking.
Nice barrier island with the Gulf on one side and the Mississippi sound on the other side. Spent a relaxing half day on the island along with a 50 min boat ride to and from the island. There is also a fort you can visit with a guided tour by the Park Ranger. It was flooded when we were there so we couldn't do the tour.

Beautiful spot to go. I actually loved this beach and thought it was better than most I’ve gone to. Much more tranquil and the sand felt amazing on the feet

Absolutely beautiful, serene, relaxing, mesmerizing and tranquil. Sad was soft and water refreshing. Would love to get back during the warmer months!

So peaceful and beautiful I was there for a plant identification walk... Amazing is all I can say.

Gulf Islands National Seashore is one of the true hidden gems along the Gulf Coast. The white sand beaches are pristine, the water is clear and inviting, and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and unspoiled. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and just take in the natural beauty. There’s something for everyone — whether you want to swim, relax on the beach, kayak, hike, or explore historic Fort Pickens. The wildlife is also incredible — we spotted dolphins, birds, and even a few sea turtles. The area is clean, well-maintained, and not overcrowded, even during peak season. Parking and restroom facilities are accessible, and the entry fee is well worth it for the experience you get. If you’re looking for a quiet, stunning coastal escape away from the high-rise condos and party beaches, this is it. One of the best beach spots in Florida — hands down.

The ONLY issue with Gulf Islands National Seashore is the bathhouse facilities at Ft. Pickens campground (loop A). I understand it's a campground shower and toilet, but it could all stand a good cleaning and updating. I'd drop a half a star for that if I could. Also, be prepared to drop $25 for the National Park entry fee, payable by credit or debit card only. Aside from that, this area is just what the doctor ordered if you're looking for a true getaway. There are NO streetlights, restaurants, clubs, traffic, loud neighbors or obnoxious party people. There IS beautiful, clear ocean water, interesting wildlife, soft, white sand beaches, historical ruins, and United States Navy Blue Angels practice flights. My family camped here in August 2025, grabbed groceries at the Winn Dixie, Aldi, and Walmart about 30 minutes up the road in Navarre, and enjoyed a week of snorkeling, napping, eating seafood, and watching sea birds, crabs, and fighter jets all do their thing without having to leave the confines of Fort Pickens.

Nice beach not crowded. Coolest thing was the Blue Angels were practicing that day. Very very cool. We're doing fly overs. Was awsome.

This place was beautiful! Some areas were inaccessible due to flooding, but most of the trails were fine. The staff was able to point out key animal viewing spots on the park map as well some trails that weren’t marked on the map. I saw baby armadillos, a tortoise, a rabbit, an osprey nest, dolphins, an alligator and a bunch of different sea birds like pelicans and cranes.
