Perched atop Iron Mountain in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park offers a unique blend of thrilling amusement park attractions and stunning mountain vistas. Visitors can enjoy a variety of experiences, from guided cave tours to adrenaline-pumping rides like the Alpine Coaster and Giant Canyon Swing. Families can delight in kid-friendly attractions such as the Wild West Express roller coaster and Mine Wheel Ferris wheel.
Absolutely worth coming to check this place out. The rides were simple and fun. The cave tour was fun. The food was good enough. Don't expect nice restaurant quality food. But we enjoyed it. Draft beer was yummy. The views were absolutely beautiful and the gondola that takes you up there, was super super fun. The employees all were nice. We didn't find a rude person up there at all. The vibe was great. We stayed up there from open to close. Took our time experiencing everything and riding the rides several times. The gift shop has surprisingly fair prices. This place i would say is a must visit if you are in Glenwood Springs or near. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here and will definitely come back when we can. Thank you.

Lovely, smaller amusement park with plenty to do. Our group went during the week (Thursday) and had a blast. Line wait times were short and all the rides were exciting. The food was also pretty decent (burgers and chicken tenders - as to be expected with these locations). I highly recommend purchasing tickets in advance and paying a little extra ($10 when we went) for preferred parking. It's absolutely worth it as you can park right next to (if not very close) the gondolas that take you to the park.
Keev — Google review
Took my dad and my son here. My dad loves these rides. They’re unique because they’re hanging over the mountain, which adds a little extra thrill. It’s a great place not a lot of lines. We usually go in September October. Beautiful view from the mountain tops and the food is not that bad. The Cape tours are pretty cool too. The people that give the tour seem like they really enjoy it and are very knowledgeable about how caves work and all of the formations..
Izak R — Google review
The views are stunning. The prices are reasonable. The coaster is probably one of the funnest things I’ve ever done and the cave tours are absolutely amazing if you have kids or even just if you’re an adult, the gondola ride is really fun and just the views when you come out of the caves or up top I absolutely love it here and if you’re visiting, you should check it out and do all of the rides and all of the cave tours, the guides and the tour guides are absolutely amazing extremely knowledgeable extremely funny. I absolutely love every time I come to visit going to Glenwood Springs and go to the adventure park.
Ghost — Google review
Being a park and coaster enthusiast I’ve been to many parks. I had heard mostly good things about Glenwood Caverns and decided to take a day trip up there with a friend. I was thoroughly impressed with the park! The pricing felt reasonable for the attractions offered, service and staff were excellent, the atmosphere was quite nice, the food was decent, and the rides were of a good quality overall! I especially enjoyed the cave tours and 4 coasters! The tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made for a fun experience inside both caves! I do wish they had a few more rides with more variety, but what they have is great!
Josh C — Google review
After I got around the hiccup that was me figuring out the free parking, the GCAP was a excellent addition to my Glenwood experience. The views up there are hard to beat, and while we intitially were up there in nothing but rain and fog, when the clouds finally parted it was truly magical. It is to be noted that the adventure park is a bit limited to what younger children can do (think 10 and under) and some of the rides are a bit too high intensity for those of young age and wrangling any youngsters in caves can also be a hassle. I wasn't wrangling children myself but parents be aware. The caverns are absolutely stunning but the Fairy Cavern miiiight trigger the unknowning claustrophobic (don't find out the hard way folks) Overall - lovely experience - definitely recommend.
Paige K — Google review
Yes you can drive up on Transfer Trail, up to the lot where I took these picture. Transfer Trail is a free public road. There is a separate back service only private road with restricted access to Glenwood Cavern Adventure park that is not open to the public. It is gated with no trespassing, but all other roads are free and open to the public. It is a totally free drive, mostly gravel, but no need for a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Nice place to stop, enjoy the views, enjoy your picnic lunch. If you like, you can also visit Glenwood Adventure Park, ride the Gondola up and enjoy all the park has to offer. Gate passes run from $37 to $84 per person per day. I didn't see any family friendly pricing options on their website. Enjoy.
David B — Google review
We visited a weekday at the end of October and it was fantastic. Only one food vendor was open at this time but that’s the only downside. The rides are fantastic for adrenaline junkies and there were little to no lines. We love a good cave as well and the tours were great! Highly recommend the black light tour of fairy caves.

Iron Mountain Hot Springs, located in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, is a serene and rejuvenating destination for swimming in natural hot springs. The facility offers a family pool with stunning views of the nearby river and mountains. Visitors can also enjoy a diverse selection of food from on-site food trucks while soaking in the therapeutic mineral pools. Iron Mountain Hot Springs recently expanded to include 10 new riverfront pools that replicate the mineral compositions of famous hot springs worldwide.
This place surpassed my expectations. It’s like an outdoor spa/resort experience. Exploring the different hot springs (pools like a hot tub) was fun. Kid friendly side as well, with a pool that they can enjoy. The cafe served good food, like resort food/snacks and reasonable prices. The bathhouse was clean, lockers and towels were included in the fee. 3 hours was sufficient time to enjoy springs. There is an adult only side, I did not experience, choose the premiere access ticket for this.

Our visit to Iron Mountain Hot Springs was nothing short of magical. We went in the evening, arriving just after 6:30 PM, and it turned out to be the perfect time to soak and relax. As the sun began to set, the entire place took on a serene, golden glow—especially along the Colorado River, which runs right next to the pools. Watching the sunset reflect off the water while soaking in the warm mineral pools was a truly peaceful and unforgettable experience. The pools themselves were clean, well-maintained, and offered a variety of temperatures, so it was easy to find the perfect one to unwind in. The setting is natural and beautiful, surrounded by mountains and trees, making it feel like a true escape from the busy world. Even though it was a popular time, it never felt overcrowded, and the atmosphere remained calm and respectful. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything—from check-in to the changing facilities—was organized and spotless. If you're in Glenwood Springs, I highly recommend visiting Iron Mountain Hot Springs, especially in the evening. The combination of warm mineral waters, mountain views, and a riverside sunset is an experience you won’t forget. 16 Geothermal Soaking Pools Naturally shaped pools with temperatures ranging from 98°F to 108°F, each with its own size, shape, and view.

This place is amazing. We went two days in a row, midweek, and it was populated but not crowded. We shared pools with others and also sometimes had one to ourselves. Views of the mountains and along the Colorado River. Can also see and hear nearby highway but it didn’t bother us a bit. Can get very tasty cocktails and rent (or bring) robes. They play a mix of meditation music and big band music. We loved it.

We visited Iron Mountain Hot Springs on our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. It was clean, the food was great, and the staff were very nice. It was an absolutely perfect way to spend an afternoon. If we lived close we would for sure be getting a membership.

Weather was cool so going in and out of each type of hot spring was perfect. Beautiful views. Calming. Fire pit area. Great for warming or drying off. I felt amazing the next say after soaking. Wish I lived closer to go more frequently. They do have food you can purchase. They do not have pictures of what you order so that was only negative. I ordered something called Alpastor. OMG!! It was freaking delicious. If you can eat Pork highly recommend. My boyfriend had the beef aujus if had a picture probably would not of ordered. He said it was good but do not give you a big enough cup to dip the sandwich only to pour it on. Bread was too much. Prices high you have to expect it, tourists area. Was a very wonderful experience and memory.
AJ K — Google review
I’ve been to many hot springs but this one tops the cake. From arrival to departure the staff was amazing. The food was equally great. The bar service to the whirlpool tubs…top notch. Can’t wait to come back again!
Christina P — Google review
The iron mountain hot springs are a collection of different mineral tubs. There are also pools that are geothermal temperature controlled. My family and I loved it. The views of the mountains and Colorado River are second to none. Relaxing and just refreshing for the soul. They serve mixed drinks as well as snacks. Trust me YOU NEED THIS!
David — Google review
The problem with Google reviews is that it only goes up to 5 stars. I'd give this place more if I could. My wife and I visited this place with zero expectations and we were absolutely impressed with the property. The pools on the natural side (aka geothermal side) of the property feels like they were accidentally found like that and then they built a facility around it. It all blends in so smoothly and organically with the environment. The inspired pool sideof the property feels and looks very clean, organized and deliberate. It also has an exclusive resort feel to it. It's truly a relaxing place where you not only soak in all the minerals but also the views and environment.

Yampah Spa & Vapor Caves in Glenwood Springs is a historic and unique attraction with underground chambers that provide mineral-rich therapeutic steam. Believed to have been used by the Ute Indians for healing rituals, these natural vapor caves are now part of Yampah Spa, offering visitors access to hot springs and mineral baths. The spa utilizes the natural hot mineral waters rich in therapeutic minerals for a world-class day spa experience.
my third time at this unique spa, the vapor caves are so relaxing. they are hot, humid, dark, peaceful. everything you need for a physiological reset. there's a beautiful solarium with lounge chairs and heaters where you can relax and drink water to cool off a bit between cave sessions. if you're extra hot or need fresh air, you can go out on the small porch where you can sit on benches to take in a sweeping view of the mountains. one cave pass is good for 2 hours and includes a body towel and a hand towel. I suggest bringing flip flops to wear around the facility and especially in the caves. everyone wears swim suits in the caves and brings the hand towels to dip in cold water (there are faucets down in the caves and bins to fill with cold water) and lay on your head/neck to cool off a bit. you will be drenched in sweat and humidity five minutes in. the caves are quiet, with only whispering when absolutely necessary. the caves impose an attitude of respect and reverence and most people meditate or sit in silence, eyes closed, soaking in the natural benefits of the vapors. just remember to check the clock at the top of the steps before descending into the caves and give yourself a break to chill out every 20 minutes or so. just listen to your body. I deeply enjoyed this religious experience and spent my time in the caves thanking Jesus for His love and for unimaginable blessings in this new year:)

An Unforgettable Sanctuary of Wellness and Wonder I visited Yampah Spa in Glenwood Springs just two days ago, and I am still basking in the afterglow of what was truly a superb, soul-nourishing experience. The highlight? A solid two hours of “d’etichetta” in the natural vapor caves—a deeply immersive ritual that felt like being wrapped in the earth’s most intimate embrace. The mineral-rich steam melted away tension, cleared my mind, and opened up my senses. It was like nature herself was gently cleansing my entire being. What followed was nothing short of divine: a full-body mud wrap using luxurious, high-quality products that completed the detoxification journey. My skin was left feeling ultra-soft, like silk to the touch—glowing, renewed, and alive. Throughout the caves and spa rooms, I felt surrounded and empowered by the energy of massive 300-kilo crystals, placed intentionally to amplify grounding and healing. Their presence isn’t just aesthetic—it’s transformative. The entire facility has recently been beautifully renovated, adding an elegant, elevated feel while preserving the sacred connection to nature that makes Yampah so unique. This place isn’t just a spa—it’s a portal to inner peace, clarity, and pure pleasure. Come discover what it feels like to fall in love with your own sensazione. You’ll leave satisfied, rejuvenated, and craving more.

I will post a video for you to experience how it looks. It's amazing and naturally beautiful. The caves are filled with a sulfur smell. For those who book a massage ask them who their masseuse is they are very booked and to save a hassle for them and yourself request right away man or woman.

Ms. Luz was amazing!! My girlfriend and I had the mineral bath soak, the body wrap which included hands and feet scrubs and our bodies slathered in what felt like warm honey heaven and we experienced the vapor caves. I previously visited Yampha Spa & Vapor Caves three or four years ago. While there I videoed my girlfriend while relaxing in the solarium. I told her that I had no words to describe my experience. I then shared that soon as I could financially afford it, I make sure she had the experience. Well, I made it happen, she had the experience and said it was, "Amazing!" And that she loved Ms. Luz, too!! I go beyond highly recommending Yampha Spa & Vapor Caves as a place to experience in Glenwood Springs! And request Ms. Luz for a body wrap and mineral bath soak!

I had the most wonderfully relaxing experience at Yampah spa! Being my first visit I was unsure what to expect however myself and my guest were warmly welcomed by Alba! Such a healing and pampering experience overall. We enjoyed the vapor caves, 30 min bath soak and a rose body wrap….absolutely fabulous! Also my therapist Luz was the BEST! Incredibly professional, prompt and made me comfortable during the treatment! I can’t wait to visit her again! Thank you for this beautiful experience.

Yampah Vapor Caves: A Steamy Retreat with Room for Etiquette The Yampah Vapor Caves offer a truly captivating underground experience. Walking through these natural steam caves, enveloped by the warm, mineral-rich vapors, is incredibly serene. The ambient music and dripping water create a perfectly relaxing atmosphere. However, the tranquility is often disrupted by a few loud visitors who ignore the quiet area signs, behaving more like they're at a pool party. There's also an issue with towels left on benches, despite limited space. A simple reminder at the front desk upon check-in about maintaining quiet and tidiness could greatly improve the experience, as many likely don't read the signs. These small disruptions can unfortunately spoil the ambiance for others. Despite these minor issues, I highly recommend this place. My facial with Jolissa was outstanding; she was continuously engaged for the entire hour, providing exceptional service. To enhance the experience, I suggest the caves be more proactive in reminding guests about expected behavior and cleanliness to preserve the unique ambiance.

A perfect, relaxing start to our anniversary weekend! We did the Tranquility Couples Package at the Vapor Caves in Glenwood Springs, which included a 25-minute back, neck, and shoulders massage, a 30-minute private mineral bath, and two hours of access to the vapor caves. Everything was thoughtfully put together and relaxing from start to finish. We arrived about an hour early (which I highly recommend!) to enjoy the vapor caves beforehand. The facility was clean, smelled great, and the front desk was welcoming. They walked us through the setup and provided a robe, towel, and a small hand towel. The layout is essentially one long hallway with everything you need—locker rooms, showers, solarium, and the caves themselves. Lockers have keypads for extra peace of mind, although I do wish there were designated changing areas in the locker room. The vapor caves were incredible—you feel the humidity instantly, and it’s recommended to stay down for only 10–15 minutes at a time. There’s a hose for cooling down, which came in handy. I do wish there was a clearer system for clean vs. used buckets, as people were soaking their feet and I accidentally used one to wipe my face—oops! Definitely bring a water bottle into the caves. We cooled off in the solarium between visits—it was peaceful with comfy chairs, soft music, and cucumber/lemon water. Then we were taken to our private mineral bath, which was heavenly—hot, calming, and came with an ice towel, water, and chocolates. Luz was friendly and professional throughout. The massage was a lovely way to end the package. Hilda took great care with pressure and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. My only critique is the booking system—you have to email and wait for a call to confirm, which could definitely be streamlined. But it’s a small hiccup in an otherwise wonderful experience. Highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for something relaxing and unique in Glenwood Springs.
Brooke W — Google review
Very unique spa experience; unlike anything I'd ever done before. Definitely recommend adding this to your trip itinerary for a weekend in Glenwood Springs. The atmosphere is very serene and inviting - the staff are friendly and helpful. I completed a group booking for 9 people; all with different spa treatments specified. The staff were accommodating with scheduling and payment options. Shoutout to Gwen; she was fantastic and essential in helping coordinate the appointments to allow for our group to share the experience together. Personally, I would recommend the Tranquility package for couples looking for the best the spa has to offer. You get a 30 minute massage that relaxes your muscles before heading into a private mineral soak with your partner. Closing out the package with access to the vapor caves, where you can detox and reset. Be warned the deeper into the cave you go, the hotter it gets. Take plenty of breaks and drink lots of water. There's a cool down room where you can escape the heat until you're ready to go back in.

Glenwood Hot Springs Pool is a historic hot springs pool located in a serene mountain setting. The site has a rich history dating back to 1886 when the Glenwood Hot Springs Company was formed and major developments began.
Been coming to this for many years. Always look forward to come and soak when I visit from New Jersey. There plenty of room for many to come and enjoy the springs. It’s always clean and well cared for. The staff is kind. Theres many things to do around the pool as well. Like shops, restaurants, all kids if attractions, historic places and so on. You won’t regret the pools and the different temperatures they provide. Has a good plunge of 52 degrees. Has showers, bathrooms and changing rooms. People are kind there also. Kids have a diving board, and small shallow pools. All around a great experience and not expensive. All day pass starts at $38 and you can stamp your hand an come in and out throughout the day. Had a cafe with food and drinks by the pool.

If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing, spa experience, this isn’t it. It’s more targeted towards tourism and a family friendly poolside atmosphere than a spa. It was expensive, but it did provide you with reentry all day, unlike Iron Mountain. I was expecting it to be more of a luxurious place, but it did not feel so. The grill and snack bar reminded me of a baseball game, and the grill closed at 4. No alcoholic drinks were allowed outside the grill area, so you couldn’t sip by the springs. The springs were great, I enjoyed the mineral baths and how they became adult only after 5, but it wasn’t the experience I was looking for. Also! It does not have a lazy river! I thought it did from the pictures, but it’s actually a tube slide.

Spent 9 hours there... gotta get your money's worth. 😁 Went there with 4 kids, 2 adults. Spent 8 hours during the day, the returned after dinner for 1 hour. The kids loved it all... lots of varieties of pools, plus the splash pad, plus the chutes area. We had lunch at the grill as the food cart required a physical credit card and we didn't have one. Nothing was cheap, but we had so much fun!! Pro tips: bring your own towel... it costs $5 to rent one. Don't bother coming back with kids after dark, all pools are closed to them except the big two and interest level dropped and it was more crowded. Come early to get chairs. There are locker rooms on the second floor... less used, so cleaner.

Absolutely lovely, especially in the evening hours. I wish I could have been able to spend more time there. With plenty of temperature variety there is pretty much a pool for everyone. The Springs have a well balanced scale of family fun but also allowing childless individuals a place to relax in the evening - catering to everyone's tastes. The staff were very helpful and professional. I would take on I-70 again just for a chance to be at the springs.

It was an amazing little getaway to relax in the natural hotsprings. I stayed at the Lodge which was fully renovated recently and the room was beautiful. Bathtub didn't drain well but very minor and didn't effect our stay. Staff at the lodge and hotspring pool were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing and included with the hotel stay. Hotsprings pool was also included with our hotel stay but can get in without hotel stay but pricey. I thought it was worth the stay in the lodge for full access. Next stay, I would like to try Hotel 1888 which is an 21+ hotel.

My favorite Hot Springs of any hot springs that I've ever been to. Amazing place, great pools, great amenities. The fact they have a cold plunge pool as well as a very hot spring is absolutely excellent! And the views are spectacular as well.
Eric W — Google review
Wasn't worth the $30+ dollars that I paid for a day pass. I was done after 90 minutes. The water slides and kids area was closed (it's only open on weekends from 12-5)-kids area. The hottest pool was over 100°F. It was nice, like being in a swimming pool sized hot tub with waterfall. Seating was provided under most waterfalls. In the great pool they had special seats for neck massagers and fountains for shoulder massagers. There's an area in the great pool where you can do laps, and after that section there was another section with a diving board that was around 12ft deep. Plenty of friendly lifeguards too. The snack bar was closed, but there was another spot on site for food. No swimsuit? The gift shop has a HUGE variety of bikinis, swimsuits and swim trunks. The lockers are FREE.

I love it! Very relaxing! I love everything about it, the big pool is amazing, and the hot one (hottest) feels so great, I wish my body didnt get so hot because i would stay in there forever. And the cold plunge is such a mental challenge. And feels so great! Especially if you were hot. A lovely family place, and everyone is so nice

Brewpub
Glenwood Canyon Brewpub, located in the historic Hotel Denver, is a brick brewpub and restaurant known for its hearty pub favorites and craft beer offerings available for takeout in growlers. The pub offers a welcoming atmosphere catering to both beer enthusiasts and health-conscious individuals with a menu featuring healthy appetizers, salads, entrees, grilled fish, chicken dishes, and vegetarian-friendly options.
The service was fast, and the people were friendly. One thing I want to touch on a little more is the cheese curds. They are hand breaded and spicy. They are likely the best cheese curds I have ever had in my entire life. I really liked the pretzel as well. Went on a Monday night a little after dinner rush around 8 for appetizers. Would recommend this place to anyone just based on the cheese curds.

I’ve been to the Glenwood Canyon Brewpub a few times and it never disappoints! They make their own root beer and have an incredible root beer float. The cheese curds with spicy dipping sauce are perfectly crispy. I love their black bean burger and the service is excellent.

Ashton was a very good server helping us through the beer menu. I ended with a pilsner, just what I needed then, light bright, easy to drink. We also had an IPA, really lovely hops appropriately bitter. I had fish and chips. Two large pieces of crunchy breaded real cod, glad I did not order the third piece. More fries than I could eat with a dab of coleslaw. It was a bit dry and lacked much distinctive flavor for my taste. Also order pulled pork sandwich. Large serving toasted bun. Pork was good, on the sweet side for those who like that. Fine pub lunch food and drink. It was quiet at 1230 but when we drove by in the evening at 645 the line to get in was out the door.

Beers are the best in town! I had the y and Chips & I really enjoyed them, batter wasn’t heavy. Great flavor. My fiancée had the canyon salad and it was a bust. The chicken was really dry and no flavor at all. Recommend the hanging lake lager or Coloradan. Come for the beer and skip the food if you can.

The soda situation was a bit odd. I tried both a Dr Pepper and a Coke, but something was definitely off—maybe watered down, maybe an issue with the carbonation. Either way, $3.50 felt steep for something that didn’t taste quite right, especially as the designated driver. At our table, the watermelon mule was the favorite drink, while the pilsner was the least enjoyed. The Hanging Lake Lager stood out since it was ordered a second time. The menu itself offers a nice variety. I went with the ravioli (with chicken), two companions ordered the wagyu burger, and the fourth chose wings. The wings were described as “very good, nicely done.” The burgers were “delicious”—huge portions, enough for leftovers. My ravioli was excellent as well, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The food was so good that I couldn’t resist ordering dessert after hearing the description of the peach cobbler. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the rest of the meal. The “crust” was more like soggy bread, the peaches were tasty, but the ice cream was bland and already melted despite the cobbler not being hot (contrary to what the waitress said). The whipped cream ended up overpowering the dish. One thing that left a bad taste was the bill. There’s an automatic 3% charge (a “tip” for the kitchen) that isn’t disclosed on the menu. For a place with already high prices, it feels like the owner is pushing labor costs onto customers rather than paying the staff fairly. On top of that, there was even a $0.50 charge for mayo, which came across as nickel-and-diming. Our waitress was friendly and handled little issues with a smile.

We had a wonderful dinner here last night with our four kids. Service was great. The food was all really good. Couldn't even get photos before everyone dug in!

Great food, cold beer, and a really nice atmosphere! The staff was friendly and fast — and the wings are an absolute must! Perfect spot to relax after exploring Glenwood Springs. Highly recommend! 🍻

What a TREAT! My husband and I were driving through to our home in Wichita, Kansas. The food was AMAZING! My husband a cheeseburger with sweet potato tots. I had the chipotle chicken pub tacos served with cilantro lime rice and black bean salad (this was one of my favorite meals of ALL time)!!! Our waiter, Max was great. Super friendly and accommodating! We chose to sit outside and had a great view of the train depot across the street. This is an ABSOLUTE must whether driving through or stopping for the night!

Glenwood Canyon, located in Colorado, is a picturesque and iconic destination along the Colorado River. The canyon features a highway, train route, and biking path that run alongside the river. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the canyon walls and pull off at various points for scenic overlooks or to access the river. There are also paved trails for walking or biking through the canyon, offering opportunities to experience its natural beauty up close.
We were just passing by but we were impressed how beautiful this canyon is. Very scenic route, just a shame we didn't have time for a hike.

What a beautiful drive throughout the Glenwood Springs Canyon. Wish we had time to explore but traveling home puts a damper on everything. Planning on coming , Glenwood Springs Canyon is now on my bucket list. Unbelievable gorgeous! A must visit area

We experienced Glenwood Canyon via the highway, the Colorado River runs through this canyon and next to the highway. There are several places to pull off for views or to drive down to the river and several tunnels. We really enjoyed driving through this canyon, the walls of the canyon are very beautiful and picturesque! On of Colorado's most beautiful drives.

What a stunning drive through this part of Glenwood Springs! You can actually pull off on highway 70 as you’re going East just outside of the city on ‘No Name road.’ There is a small parking lot where you can leave your car and walk for two miles on a paved trail that takes you through the canyon back to the city, really awesome place!

We biked the river trail 15 miles in then back and it was well worth it we seen a lot of wild life! And the scenery was amazing.

Great drive through the canyon yesterday and today. Stopped at the open rest stops and restrooms were open and clean and the parking lots were cleared of snow for the most part. Was able to walk along the trail at the Grizzly Creek rest area and snap a few photos. The trail was obviously covered with snow so use a little caution.

In Glenwood Springs, visitors can enjoy a variety of attractions and entertainment options. The Glenwood Vaudeville Revue is a must-see comedy-dinner show that offers original skits, songs, and jokes suitable for all ages. At the Riviera Supper Club & Piano Bar, guests can dine while being entertained with showtunes and familiar favorites. Additionally, the town boasts an array of dining choices ranging from breweries to fine dining establishments, ensuring there's something to satisfy every palate.
I’ve been traveling to Glenwood Springs for many years because of my job. Absolutely love the Vaudeville Review. It hits for so many reasons. I love that the great people and performers here have kept this style of entertainment going. They do a great job of providing laughs and entertainment for all to enjoy including kids. The songs are performed well and are very funny parodies. There was an amazing performance with a harp this evening that killed! My favorite skit might have involved a dog at a restaurant. The performers are also your wait staff and do a wonderful job serving food and drinks while also hustling for their acts. It’s a great theater set up, nice bar and from what I can see, all the food is from local vendors. Absolutely top notch people here! I highly recommend this spot, especially if you like musical type entertainment. They change the shows a few times a year, so you can see multiple shows a year. Come out and bring family and friends and support your local businesses.

We had such a fantastic time here for my wife's birthday date. The performance was fantastic from start to finish. We also really enjoyed the food quality and selection, as well as the ample non-alcoholic drink menu. Their parody version of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody was my personal highlight of the show, though the father daughter duet between Tommy and Danni was also phenomenal! Oh, and they have a performancing puppy! The show is high energy, dynamic, and good for all ages. Wonderful date night activity, or a place to bring friends and family visiting from out of town. Especially great if you're a tourist here yourself and want the best return of entertainment for your money!

Had a great time at the Glenwood Vaudeville Revue. Hilarious show, tasty food, friendly cast member. A great night out for family, friends, dates, even on one's own!

I was very skeptical of the show at first. It was our anniversary and my wife wanted to go see this show. I said ok ( not to excited). This place made me a believer. That being said, this was an amazing time! The show was amazing and kept me entertained the entire time. The food was delicious. And the staff was super friendly and engaging. I would definitely go back next time we visit colorado. It was worth every penny. My sides hurt from laughter it was so funny. They are great at engaging with the audience. The theater it self was well set up and the decor was done very well. The whole place was very inviting and welcoming. Thank yall for a great time!!!

The Glenwood Vaudeville Revue is hands-down one of the most entertaining nights out you can have in the Rockies! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth, laughter, and a lively atmosphere that sets the stage for a truly unique experience. The show is a perfect mix of comedy, music, clever skits, and old-school vaudeville charm—with a modern twist that keeps the whole audience laughing and engaged. The cast is incredibly talented, not just in performing but also in connecting with the crowd. Every act feels fresh, funny, and full of heart. What makes the experience even more special is the dinner-theater setup. The food and drinks are excellent, and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels taken care of. It’s clear that this is more than just a show—it’s a full evening of entertainment where the performers’ passion really shines through. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Glenwood Springs, the Vaudeville Revue is a must-see. It’s family-friendly, hilarious, and unforgettable. Do yourself a favor and don’t miss it—you’ll leave with a smile on your face and probably a few new favorite jokes.

Very highly recommend. Appetizers and drinks are excellent, entrees hit and miss, but we don't go for the food. We go for the show and that is outstanding. The owner and cast are all incredibly nice. They are also your servers/bartenders. Piano player/singer also fantastic (and heck of a resume!). There's something for everyone, kids and adults - lots of humor, song, dance, and skits. We live out of town, but when I need a lift, this is well worth the drive if we can fit it in the schedule. They change the show up (4/year I think?) too so not always the same. True vaudeville.

We brought our 4 kids aged 6-12 Saturday night. We all enjoyed the show! Super funny and unique to anything we've done with our kids.
Jessica G — Google review
We received a confirmation email for the holiday show and it stated that doors open at 6:00. We arrived at 6:00 and walked into a half filled theater. So, the doors must have opened earlier. We were taken to our table and our server did not come to our table for 10 minutes. She was helping people all around us during that time. Once she came to our table, we ordered everything at once... Drinks, appetizer, entrees and dessert. We noticed that the people next to us were served very quickly... Within 5 minutes. We received our drinks and appetizer within just a couple of minutes. After that, every table around us was served, even those that were seated after us. The people who came in right next to us after we were seated, ordered, received everything they ordered, finished their meals and we still didn't have ours. It took 30 minutes for us to receive our entrees. Both of our entrees were cold when they were served to us and because it took so long, we ended up eating during the beginning of the show instead of being able to watch the show. That pretty much set the tone for the entertainment as well. The piano player was great! The tap dancing was great! Everything else was okay. We were really looking forward to it and were disappointed. Everyone working there was very nice which makes it an even bigger bummer.

Doc Holliday's Grave Trailhead is a moderate hiking trail in Glenwood Springs, leading to the gravesite of the infamous gunslinger Doc Holliday in Linwood Cemetery. It's a must-visit attraction, especially after exploring the Doc Holliday Museum. The trail offers an opportunity to delve deeper into the history of this iconic figure while enjoying some physical activity. Located near downtown Glenwood Springs, it's a family-friendly excursion with educational and historical value.
Glad we took the time for this short but beautiful hike. The total distance is roughly .08 miles but keep in mind if you are a lowlander like me and given the grade of about 20% you can choose your level of workout IE; not difficult but not easy. Once you get to the top you will find several cemeteries, and a large US flag earmarking a grave that is more of a suggestion than the actual Doc Holiday gravesite. Rumor has it Doc is planted in the Potters cemetery at the top of the hill, none the less numerous other grave sites including Kid Curry make the hike interesting. Well worth you time to visit and a good workout if you choose to double time up the hill, lots of flowers and a tree with bandanas ties to the branches, not sure why but other reviews will likely point out the reason for the tree. Highly Recommended

If you have any interest in history and the West This hike is a must. There are many graves there and this cemetery is still being used today. There are annual events held up there too educate and familiarize you with the history and the cemetery Check in out it's worth the time

OK you might find this in other reviews but here it goes... The sign at the start of the trail listed it at .5 of a mile. Itbseemed shorter than that to me but... it is a constant uphill on the way in but the trail is wide and smooth. We had plenty of shade when we went at 10am in September I can't imagine it's much less shaded in the summer, that being said even on a cooler day we were pretty warm by the time we got to the top and I can't imagine the middle of summer. Take water! The graveyard has signs talking about the cemetery and Doc Holliday as well as Kid Curry. It was well worth the hike to see this part of history. We didn't have any issues with parking but it is right in a residential area and I could imagine peak summer season being more difficult.

Not for the weak (literally) of heart, or the wheezing of lung. But the trail is beautiful, and there is a historical weight and tranquility to the trail. With marvelous breath taking views for the nature enthusiast, excellent nugget of history for wild west fans, and a small respect and admiration for the people who have brought Glenwood to what it was, the trail is a overall valuable additon to the Glenwood Springs Community.
Paige K — Google review
While the hike was moderately strenuous going up (fairly steep trail) it was surrounded by beautiful greenery and a gorgeous overlook of the city/mountains. While the memorial site is rather simple, it was beautifully done and any fan of Doc should make it a destined stop in Glenwood Springs.

We had just left Dodge City, so of course we were going to stop. The trail is not very far, but it is a little steep. The views from the top are beautiful. It's definitely worth a few minutes to go look around.

The food was great. The receptionist was so nice and helpful. The waitress is very good and looks like she really loves her job. Her smile brightens everyone. She's very friendly to her customers. That night there was a baby who is crying and shouting but other than that it was a nice experience.

Our dinner at the Riviera Supper Club and Scratch Kitchen was a delightful experience. I had the salmon with vegetables, and the flavors were beautifully developed—the seasoning was spot-on, and the cook on the fish was perfect. The portion was quite generous. I also tried their navy bean soup, which was rich and flavorful, though a bit heavy on the bacon. The wait staff were highly attentive, adding to the positive experience. I appreciated the option of filtered or sparkling water as a thoughtful touch. My husband had the prime rib sandwich, which he found tasty, though the prime rib itself was overcooked. While not everything on the menu is scratch-made, the items that are truly shine. The atmosphere, however, could use a refresh, as its character feels a bit underwhelming. A solid choice for quality dishes, with some room for improvement on decor and atmosphere.

Reservations highly recommended! Came here on our only night in Glenwood Springs, saw the reviews about reservations, but still wanted to give it a try. We were lucky and got bar seating immediately. The atmosphere and service was great. We were there on a Wednesday so we had half off wines, making it a great deal (the wines by the glass were very good quality and were poured generously). I had the beef wellington which I thought was good but not great, the meat wasn't as tasty as I would have liked. My wife had the Salmon and said it was phenomenal. Afterwards I had the house special apple pie, which was incredible too! Overall we were very satisfied with our evening. Highly recommended.

CUSTOMERS BE AWARE! I have been a frequent customer since 2015 and this is the first time I did not enjoy my visit. Our waiter, and manager? Was very nice and chatty, and introduced Wine Wednesday, where every bottle is half off. We ordered two bottles, and ordered apps and two 16oz prime ribs that each couple were going to split as it is a big portion. Dinner was fantastic until we got the bill. The couple visiting from Denmark then looked at the bill to find our 40 bottle of wine was changed to an 80$ bottle, when they asked if we'd like water they brought 4 individual bottles at 7$ each AND they charged each person a 2$ upcharge for sharing plates! As my guests were paying, they had the conversation with the server to rectify the wine error. But didn't remove the sir charges which we were not informed of when ordering. Europeans already find tipping odd, since they have different pay structure, but when you get hosed like this, do you really expect to give a tip on top of the scamming? CUSTOMERS BEWARE!

Multiple reviews outside of Google maps suggested that Riviera supper club was the best date night restaurant in Gleenwood springs so seeing as I had a date planned for the evening I decided to make a reservation for that evening. I suppose during peak season it is highly suggested to make a reservation. The process is easy online but l, making them day of made me a bit nervous since they do not open until later in the day to confirm my reservations. For my date Id ordered a floral arrangement and the restaurant was more than happy to accommodate by having the arrangement on the table prior to our arrival. Another reason I picked this restaurant was because reviews suggested they had a great wine selection and although it was not a huge selection the selections we made were good and paired well with our dishes. The mushrooms were a great starter and very flavorful. I went with a lighter dish opting for the salmon with the steamed veggies and salad. It all tasted great but wasnt spectacular. I feel it was envious of my dates order. Her dish definitely looked more appetizing (unpictured) the farmers market pasta with the filet mignon. I had a few bites and it was amazing! Service was great but definitely not fast paced. More laid back but still attentive. Maybe could have had another glass of wine with a bit quicker service, but I drink fast. I appreciate the Restaurant making a first date one to remember and accommodating my floral arrangement. My date loved them and it was the first thing she noticed walking to the table. A great place for a date night or any other occasion while out in Gleenwood.

I prefer to choose healthier options whenever possible, I order the Dummer stew with a variety of beans and vegetables-I taste it and it was very tasty, but m it was drowned in oil-Canola oil of all things!! So the health benefits of the beans and vegetables, was cancelled by the nasty oil! Please, please don’t add nasty oil to something that is perfect without it!!

This was my second visit to Sweet Coloradough, and the quality is consistently great! The donuts are delicious with a wide variety of flavors, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I do wish the display had labels to make the selection process a little easier, especially when it’s busy. I also tried the iced coconut latte this time and really enjoyed it. Very fun place! As soon as I walked in, I could tell this is the kind of place that makes your day. Part clothing store, part coffee shop, this is a great little business. These are literally the best donuts I’ve ever had in my life. The cronuts stand out above all the rest, though. They’re crispy yet soft and super flaky. Specialty Museums
The Frontier Historical Museum in Glenwood Springs is a small house museum that offers a captivating journey into the town's past. Housed in a charming Victorian-style home built in 1905, the museum features an array of artifacts, photographs, and exhibits that depict the early pioneer days and the development of the town. Visitors can explore period furnishings, household items, and learn about the Ute Indians' connection to the area.
Really enjoyed our visit to this local history museum! Many communities can put together a collection of donated historical items. But here, these items have been placed in a great Victorian home that had been a local doctors' residence and office. Excellent staff who were very knowledgeable. Only $4 entry for seniors.

This place has a $5 admission with a discount for seniors. Keep that in mind! It was cool that they turned an older home into a museum. It makes the historical settings of the dining room and kitchen more realistic and relatable. There is a pretty sizable collection of donated items for display. It's a fun spot for a change in activities if you're there for vacation.

Great little local history museum for the Glenwood Springs area. We got to see Baby Doe Tabors bedroom set, a saddle President Teddy Roosevelt once rode, and many other objects from the area. Back when the wild west was just another day in the life. The staff members we meet were extremely friendly, inviting and very knowledgeable. The museum is in a small house that's been around since the early 1900's. The tours are self guided so you don't have to feel rushed to read everything. A great way to spend some time learning about a time that you only see in the movies. Speaking of movies, there was a rather popular movie filmed in the area. The gift shop sells copies of it. Stop by an check it out. I would recommend this little museum to anyone passing through the area.

The cool and refreshing interior maintains a consistent temperature throughout the year, making it an enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages. The tour guides, such as Cal and Becca, are praised for their entertaining and informative tours, ensuring that everyone has a great time exploring the remarkable cave.
Beautiful set of caves, complete with a mountainside overlook of the entire Glen Springs valley. Our tour guide Ashley kept things fun and informative, leading us to a nice variety of rock formations. Both we and our kids thoroughly enjoyed it! If you're in the area, it's a must-see attraction. Review: A Must-Visit Experience at Fairy Caves If you’re visiting Glenwood Caverns, you absolutely cannot miss the Fairy Caves tour—it’s one of the most unique and memorable experiences I’ve ever had. The guided tour is fantastic. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, sharing fascinating stories about the discovery of the caves, how they’ve been preserved, and what life around them used to be like. They point out stunning formations and fun facts throughout—one that really stuck with me was learning that even the full-length guided tours (including beginner and advanced paths) only cover about 4% of the cave system! We also had the chance to experience the blacklight phenomenon inside the cave, and that was truly mind-blowing. It added a magical twist to an already incredible tour. The guides do an amazing job of making the tour feel exciting, educational, and fun from start to finish. The 40–60 minutes flew by. One of the highlights is a spot in the cave where you step out onto a balcony overlooking the cliff—a breathtaking view and a perfect photo op. I visited with my wife, my seven-year-old son, and a friend, and we all thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The Fairy Caves are a must-see for anyone in Glenwood Springs—you won’t regret it!

What a great restaurant! We were passing though town looking for a nice dinner, when a local recommended this place. Martin our bar tender provided great service and drinks, our food and desert was amazingly great. If you're in the area its a great choice!

Far and away the best restaurant in the area. They take care with preparation and presentation. Lots of subtle flavors. Great friendly service. Cute location right next to the river and train station. The deviled eggs were so good.

This place deserves at least four stars based on the food alone but is being downgraded for two factors. It was so loud that you had to raise your voice to be heard which of course makes it louder yet, to the point where it diminishes your enjoyment of the food. Secondly the sauces were great but too salty by half which also diminishes them. Cocktails were good, gin martini order and delivered dry, Negroni balanced and round. The wine list is spare, only one selection, both glass and bottle, per type but adequate. We had the pinot noir and the zinfandel both adequate. The menu is also spare but there is something for everyone. I had the pork chop. Tender, hint of the grill, very well sauced. Also ordered the Roast Chicken, also moist tender and very flavorful. Skin properly chared, charged, sauced deliciously with caveat. Coffee followed. All said we will go back endure the sound because the food warrants it.

Great food. Amazing service! Our server Chad was a delight! He had great advice on what to order. We had the small plate starter, pistachio gnocchi, and pierogis with bacon added. All great. Definitely will stop by next time we are in the area. I hope we get the pleasure of Chad's service again!

Great restaurant in downtown Glenwood. The restaurant has a great ambience and staff. We have a limited but very interesting menu. The food all tasted great. The staff were super friendly and attentive.

Came in & sat at the bar to find out we stumbled on one of the best restaurants in the area. The bartenders were nice & the food delicious. It was my friend’s birthday & they even brought a yummy dessert with a candle. We truly enjoyed it

Every time we come to Glenwood Spring we make it a point to have dinner atleast once at The Pullman. We have loved every single meal we have had here. In the summer days we love sitting on the patio with our dog sipping on those delicious Strawberry Fields drinks they had in the summer. Thank you Pullman for the good memories and food.

Location was great, but the inside atmosphere wasn’t anything spectacular. Service was friendly and quick. The chips and blue cheese as a starter was a great start; didn’t seem like much, but was very tasty. The 8oz hanger steak was good not great. Tasted mainly of salty char, so the potatoes, mashed potatoes purée, and chimichurri were really doing a lot of leg work to balance out the flavor. And the presentation didn’t look appetizing for either dish. Overall we had a nice time EDIT: to zero stars bc of the business response. We had a nice time and gave an honest review, but response very childish and weird

Cemetery
Sights & Landmarks
Linwood Cemetery in Glenwood Springs is not your average cemetery. It holds the final resting places of two notable figures, Doc Holiday and Kid Curry, known for their bravery. A short hike through the cemetery grounds offers a chance to learn about these celebrated pioneers and other historical figures buried there. The exact location of Doc Holliday's grave may be unknown, but visitors can still enjoy a family-friendly hike to explore this legendary site.
Linwood Cemetery is full of history! Even Doc Holiday is buried here! Well, they’re not exactly sure of his exact grave location, but they have a “supposed” grave location, see photos. The cemetery is a little hike up from the street and the parking is pretty limited on the street.

GHOST TOUR put on by the Historic Society during spooky season is top notch. They lead you up after dark (bring a flashlight) and you stop at a few grave sites where actors dressed in historic garb tell the story of their life before being buried there. It's a great time! Tickets on the historic society website, fun for all ages, cider and treats at the end!
Casey E — Google review
The trail is about .3 mile from the trailhead to Doc Holliday’s headstone. It’s steep, and it is not shaded the entire way. Fill up your water bottle at the trailhead or bring it yourself. It’s a neat pioneer cemetery. If you’re an out of state visitor like me, I recommend going to the Historical Museum in town first and getting some literature on the cemetery first. It tells about others buried there. Doc’s headstone is only to mark that he is buried in the cemetery, but not necessarily in that spot- the exact location is unknown and has been lost to time.

Doc Holliday's Grave Trail head - Certainly NOT a climb for those who need help or out of shape (kinda-sorta). This takes a bit to get there.. Advice - Don't wear flip flops, you won't make the climb with a stroller and MOST certainly take your time. Of course you can stop and rest AND catch your breath. This is an elevation of 6000+ feet (Welcome to Colorado) already. This climb is about 1/2 mile higher. We completed this trek during July and the weather was 72 degrees and sunny. The road to the top starts off nice and easy with an entrance that is maintained very well (Don't be fooled). As you start to ascend the road turns to gravel and sand. The trail is about 20 foot wide in most cases and there are some stairs and a few obstacles to overcome, nothing hard. There is a tree of shame about 1/2 way up. (For those who wanted to leave a ribbon, or something that marked "I was here") Once you reach the top, you're offered a few ways to get into the actual graveyard. In our experience, we continued to the last entrance and proved to be a good choice. Now the reading and exploring begins. We spent about an hour going through each site and staying on the well marked paths. MOST of the sites are marked off and fenced so be respectful of the barriers. Going down is certainly a LOT EASIER than going up but be careful not to twist your ankle on the rocks and loose sand. In either direction, the views of the surrounding Gypsum mountains and community was very nice.

Such an interesting cemetery. Short little hike but definitely worth it! So old and full of history! Must see in Glenwood! The hike takes about twenty minutes and there is a bunch a shaded area to stop on the way... I like that it’s tucked up in a neighborhood so you can check out old houses too!
Kara W — Google review
Very very short hike but it's right up the mountain and has AMAZING views of Glenwood Springs the entire way. We met a very friendly trail cat, clearly he belonged to someone local because he was well fed and clean. Not too sure what the tree of ribbons is about but it adds some color to the trail. The cemetery is extremely overgrown and old. Doc is buried somewhere there but no one is sure where.
Korrine R — Google review
A somewhat steep hike takes you up to the Linwood cemetery, with breathtaking vistas of Glennwood Springs and valley. The cemetery is small but old for the US and a great example of frontier burial grounds. The star of the show is Doc Holliday's grave marker - while they don't really know where he is burried and it's actually more likely that he would have been placed in the Potter's field as he died indigent. Great for dogs and kids - as long as they don't throw rocks!

Casey Brewing Taproom is a hidden gem in Glenwood Springs, where the passion for high-quality ingredients shines through in every brew. Owner and award-winning brewer Troy Casey collaborates with local artisans, like Bonfire Coffee, to create unique flavors such as the Vanilla Americano stout. This delightful winter beer features roasted coffee beans paired with Madagascar and Brazilian vanilla, rich oats, caramel, and roasted rye malts.
We walked into this pub with absolutely no expectations, but we were blown away by the "Fruit Stand Grape" beer! It's almost wine-like, with a strong, vibrant grape aroma and a wonderfully smooth finish. The "Bank in the Day" was good too, but the "Fruit Stand Grape" is definitely the standout. It's reasonably priced and so flavorful that I'm already craving another. This is also a great spot because they let you bring in food from other places. Since there's the delicious Rocky Mountain Pizza Co. and Slope Hatch Tacos nearby, I highly recommend grabbing takeout from there and then coming here specifically for the "Fruit Stand Grape" beer! The staff are incredibly friendly, and the location is fantastic. Sitting on the outdoor patio makes for a truly enjoyable travel experience!

Coming from the east coast (literally on the ocean just south of Boston) I was familiar with Casey’s sour offerings. While on a 11 day motorcycle trip through Colorado and Utah brought me to Glenwood Springs for the night I knew I’d have to hit Casey for a brew or two. Well I’ll be darned. I got a season the porch and next thing I knew I made friends and had a great time and a lot of great beers. Great spot and cool downtown. 🍻

Some of the best beer in the ole USA! Troy layers so many flavors in his brew. As a flatlander it is rare that I can drink these offerings. Maybe I need to move … ? Drink n enjoy!

Lindsay is the most friendly beer tender in all of my brewery experiences! She is very very knowledgeable and extremely helpful! She had no problem serving samples (not sure what the other reviews are about, if you would like to sample multiple beers, the beer flight is an incredible option to try a bunch of them out!) Great music, environment, and excellent service! I stop here every time I go through Glenwood multiple times during my trip! I even went back to leave her flowers before I left because of how great her service was. Also the best sour in the country!
Corina L — Google review
Tried to go here for a beer. I had one sample to see if I liked it and then went to try one more and the bar tender made a comment that we could order a flight instead of trying all of these samples. I had one. So instead I’ll take my money elsewhere. Very disappointed in the service and poor attitude from the bartender. I was really looking forward to trying this brewery, I’ve heard great things about their beer. But due to the attitude of the server we didn’t want to stay.
Austin H — Google review
Unfortunately had a similar experience to the other folks who have left negative reviews due to the bartender. We walked in at 7:15 pm and went to the bar to order beers. We were visiting from Denver and were curious to learn about the brewery and their beers. The bartender was unhelpful and offered short remarks. After she poured our beers she said she would be closing early and that last call is in 15 minutes. It left us feeling like our visit and patronage was an inconvenience to her evening. Overall the experience left much to be desired and i would not recommend this spot to others who are looking for an enjoyable and laid back Colorado brewery experience.

I recommend this place. Fantastic meal and service. After we were seated, The wait staff was there immediately. Everyone here is very kind and polite. Steaks are very delicious, sides are baked potato, mashed potatoes or french fries, and veggies. Excellent choice of wine and beer. They also serve seafood here as well and much more stuff on the menu. Very nice atmosphere. Very cool old fashioned bar. Very nice artwork definitely come back again. Most of all fantastic service.

Great spot for lunch! My husband and I had a lovely lunch here. We shared a salad and a chicken sandwich with fries. Food and service were excellent. Peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. In total our lunch bill was $45 (after tax & before tip). We did both get iced teas in addition to food. They have a front patio, back patio, rooftop, and indoor dining. Great space! We would happily dine here again for lunch or dinner.

I recently visited Juicy Lucy’s Steakhouse and was pleasantly surprised by both the quality of the food and the warmth of the service. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt inviting—cozy without being cramped, with a comfortable balance between casual and upscale. I ordered the New York steak, which turned out to be the highlight of the meal. It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, as requested, with a nice sear on the outside and a juicy, tender center. The seasoning was spot-on—not overpowering, but enough to bring out the natural flavors of the beef. You can tell they use a good quality cut.
Anish P — Google review
Had great experience in this restaurant, everything we had was very good. We had rib eye steak with baked potato, creamy onion soup, and a garden salad. Kids had fish and chips and burgers, they loved it. We were sitting outside and were enjoying beautiful view. Our server was polite and helpful. The only thing that bothered us, is very shaky tables outside. When we moved all the food was moving as well.
Anastasiya B — Google review
This is one of my dad’s favorite places to get a steak. We always order the porterhouse and share it. The manager is incredibly friendly and always makes time to chat with us. He informed us that they source their cows from Colorado, which I believe contributes to the superior taste of their steaks compared to most other steakhouses I’ve visited. Their onion rings are also fantastic.
Izak R — Google review
Oh my gosh, the food here is absolutely amazing! I had the lamb chops, and let me tell you, they were out of this world. I was expecting a more fine dining experience since it's a steakhouse, but it turned out to be pretty casual, which I didn’t mind. For the price—$85 for an appetizer, two sides, and a meal to take home—I'd say it was worth every penny, especially since I left feeling completely stuffed! I should mention I was a bit hungover, so the staff probably gave me some extra space, which I appreciated. I did let them know I wasn’t drinking, haha. One little thing that disappointed me was that I had mentioned it was a special occasion when I made the reservation, but there was no acknowledgment of that when I arrived. I also requested a quiet table, but ended up in a booth next to the service station, probably because I had to push my reservation back a bit. I totally understand that, though! This was the fanciest dinner of my year, so I was just hoping for a bit more ambiance. That said, the staff was super accommodating and even let me step out to grab my card from the hotel, which I really appreciated. I think I must have arrived at a quiet time when everyone was just ready to wind down for the night. Working in the restaurant industry myself, I totally get it. And wow, that steak! When I asked for it extremely rare, they nailed it! warm and well seared but still uncooked, just the way I love it. Not to mention the oysters were to die for- a risk in a landlocked place! Overall, it was a wonderful experience despite the little hiccups. I can’t wait to come back!
Cheeseman G — Google review
The food was over priced for a mediocre steak that had a weird after tast. The server was ok. There really wasn't many good options and when you got to order there wasn't much to customise.
Cole B — Google review
Where do I even begin to bring our experience to life at Juicy Lucy's!? From the moment we walked in it felt like home. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient! In fact, we would have loved for her to join us!! Every dish we had was delicious, hearty and satisfying. We started with the truffle fries which were rich in flavor and perfect crispness. Then we had the mussels which were soaking in amazing juices and served with a warm loaf of bread with butter on the side. The finishing touch was completing our meal with the calamari. Mmmmm! The Calamari was as good as having a dessert because of the sweet and tender flavors. We really wanted to try the burgers but we are saving them for our next visit! Thank you so much for a delightful afternoon as we celebrated friendship and international women's day! I highly recommend visiting the Glenwood Springs Hot Springs Pool and Spa to work up a great appetite and set your mood for a relaxing time around the dinner table. It was definitely a five-star day!

Restaurant
Nestled by the Colorado River, Smoke Modern BBQ is a casual and contemporary kitchen that takes traditional meat smoking seriously. Executive chef Jamie Theriot upholds the old-fashioned method of slow hickory smoking to infuse meats with rich flavors. The menu features a variety of smoked dishes such as ribs, pulled pork, and chicken, all prepared with southern spices. Guests can also indulge in creative mac 'n' cheese dishes and sandwiches while sipping on cocktails at this highly praised establishment.
We were passing by and needed a good barbeque dish. This place hit the spot. It was delicious! We were very happy with our selections. We got the queso dip, margarita, smoked barbeque wings, and three meat plate combo (brisket, pulled pork, sausage). Our sides were mac n cheese and loaded potato. However, we ended up taking some food home. Everything was super good. The servers were great! Definitely will be stopping by again.

Food was awesome! First time got Texas dip sandwich which was fantastic! 2nd got three meat. Brisket and chicken were perfect. Ribs were a lil dry but the sauce made up for it! Max n chose and sweet potato fries were divine! Service was good 2nd night but first the girl totally forgot about us.
Cami C — Google review
Food was pretty freaking tasty. Our server recommended a unique appetizer that was not on the printed menus. It was pork belly with watermelon and peaches and cucumber. It was all smoked and marinated and served in a bowl and it was extremely delicious. The brisket was soft and tender. It could have used more flavor and seasonings, it seems very neutral and not enough flavor for sure but their bbq sauce for dipping was available. 💁 So I didn't complain. The bar tender made great drinks. We got an old fashioned for our first drink. It was made properly with the big ice square and properly muddled with the proper cherry type. The second drink we got was their menu featured Manhattan. It was absolutely delicious. Well made and gave us that kick we were needing. Our server could have been more outgoing and more friendly. But we didn't let that bother us. Overall, the experience was good and the vibe of the restaurant was nice and the food was pretty tasty. We'll come back when we come by Glenwood Springs again. Thank you.

Best BBQ that I have ever had! Excellent food and service! I had the pulled pork platter and my husband had the ribeye sandwich. Highly recommend both! Very efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable server.
Donna H — Google review
Sauces were ok but, Don’t waste your money! Food is subpar at best. I came in and the whole place was empty. Although my server was very friendly the 1/2 chicken was extremely dry, the sides were even worse. Do not order the cream spinach (not sure why it’s on the menu) clearly frozen spinach with some sort of cream( most likely heavy cream) Mac n cheese dry with no flavor I mean dry! Ordered the deviled eggs for an app. That was the best thing I had overall, but could make the same thing better at home I could feel the old thin layer you get from an old egg if you’ve ever over boiled eggs then tried to eat the 3 days later. Over rated and would not waste your money! This is coming from someone who never complains or leaves review but felt compelled to warn others. Service doesn’t make up for bad food….i will say that I came here a few years ago and was happy. Moral of the story, be careful eating somewhere that is empty, and will admit food has been better on previous occasions.

We are staying in Glenwood Springs for the night and visited Co Ranch House for dinner. Table for 2, we got right in, and we chose to sit outside. They were apologetic about our wait time for the server Matt to take our order, which we didn't really even realize, so I don't think it was that long at all 😊. We had the duck wings and cobb salad, which were both good. We had the steak (specia)l with crab meat topping, delicious. A side order of the mushroom and onion and for dessert, cheesecake, both delicious. Matt and the other staff were very attentive. Overall, the food was delicious, and the staff was amazing. A must go to place in Glenwood. From the greeter, Kenny, to our waiter, Matt, very friendly and customer focused staff. Had the smoked trout appetizer, and I don’t like trout. It was amazing! Hubby had the Elk burger and loved it! I had the salad with smoked chicken. Delicious!!! Highly recommend. Loved the patio and Matt even lit the fire pit for me as it was getting chilly. Will come back!

This was the second time we, my wife and a friend, ate there. We were in town visiting friends. First time was a year ago. I guess that pretty much says it! We had a good memory from the first visit so we went back. I had the filet which was cooked perfectly. My wife and friend both had the trout. All was delicious. The cocktails and bourbon selection are great and extensive. I would have given 5 stars for service but the server forgot I told her it was my wife’s birthday and was hoping for a candle on the bourbon pecan pie. Didn’t happen. Overall, the place has a cool atmosphere and a great menu.

Food and drink were classy and our waitress was perfectly attentive. The hoster was very straight forward and while he had a sling for his left arm, he was very nice and helpful. Still need to get that rifle pen from him, darn it. No Jäger here, but give the Old Elk a try for a shot. They serve drinks, including water, at a refreshingly cold temp. I'd suggest that it would be nice if they could serve the lobster ravioli in a red sauce. The Angel Half and Half was nice, but I love when my pasta is more zesty and acidic. Oh and Rooster Comb is the style of pasta, not an actual Rooster's comb.

We had a great time with WWR for our family vacation this year. All very organized and the entire staff was very friendly and informative. We were all equipped with the proper safety gear and given enough instruction by out guide (Boone) to get us down the river safely but with plenty of thrills and chills. At no time did we worry about our safety. There were younger kids going over the same rapids as us so this is a great family adventure for most any age group in fact, my 82 year old aunt wants to go down next time we get to Glenwood Springs.

Highly recommend checking them out! Everyone's very friendly, they give you a good run down on rules/instructions. It was my first time rafting! I felt safe/comfortable being on the raft! Especially since we did class 3! Our instructor Stacks was wonderful!! Plus! They have an adorable shop dog!

The office staff were so friendly and helpful. The whole experience was great. The only problem I had was when sitting on bleachers getting instructions, we couldn’t hear Mary very well. She should have had a mic on but really all was good. Our guide was Moss and he was great!!!

Merri was very engaging and fun. Made the first rafting experience an incredible one I wish to recreate one day. She had engaging conversations and cared enough to remember every single one of our names. Incredible tour guide alongside fun jokes, beautiful sights, fun waters, and quick entrance.

We had a wonderful morning with our guide Ellie on the “short and mild” trip! She was very sweet and kind to our daughter that was nervous to board the boat. We all had a wonderful time laughing through the rapids and enjoying the sights! It was a perfect trip for a beginner. Our 7 year old definitely wants to do a longer and higher class rapid trip next time. Thanks Ellie for a great time!

We had the best time! LULU was an amazing guide and got us super wet and most importantly, safely through. She told great stories and was perfect for my family! Running the river was unanimously the favorite activity on our vacation. We are already wanting to go back again!

Great details provided up front about what to bring, wear, and expect. Ample parking, great facilities available and a nice gift shop with everything you might need and forgot. We had Stretch (Cam) and Dutch as guides and they were amazing. Friendly, informative, and made the trip exciting and fun. Wonderful time!

Glenwood Springs Cedar Lodge is a straightforward motel that provides indoor and outdoor pools, along with a sauna and hot tub for relaxation. The lodge offers spacious rooms and is conveniently located near the gondola to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. It's also close to Sunlight Mountain, making it an affordable option for skiing enthusiasts of all levels.
We just stayed at Glenwood Springs Cedar Lodge this past weekend. We were so glad we decided to stay here. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the location was great. There was plenty of parking, and lots of nice amenities. Our son loved the pool and we enjoyed the hot tub. The ladies in the front office greeted us with a smile and were very friendly and helpful. This may be a budget location but you can tell they put a lot of time and effort into making it a great place to stay. We would stay here again.

We spent the weekend in town for a job so we booked this hotel. On the day we arrived we unfortunately were delayed and would not arrive until after the office closed. After a quick call we were given a perfect accommodation with no issues. We really enjoyed our visit. Overall the room was clean the workers were very friendly and the location was great! I will definitely be returning when we are back in town!

Booked 7 rooms for 2 nights for this past weekend. I had to make several changes in the weeks leading up to our stay and the staff was always helpful and accommodating. The rooms were all very clean and spacious. Plenty of towels, counterspace by the sink and room to move around in the room. Breakfast is continental but they had hardboiled eggs and yogurt for protein and a big variety of bread, bagels, muffins, fruit, etc. Great location for exploring Glenwood Springs and the valley. Price for the rooms was very reasonable. We've stayed here in years past and the service and accommodations have been very consistent. They offer discounts to some of the local attractions which was very helpful for our large group. Only suggestion would be that it's time to get new towels...they were all clean but definitely showing signs of many, many uses.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The continental breakfast was excellent with plenty of fresh options every morning. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making my stay relaxing and enjoyable. The price was very reasonable for the quality of service and amenities provided. The location is also perfect, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and nearby attractions. Overall, I am very happy with my experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

This is the second time I've stayed at Cedar Lodge. The reason I like this place is that the rooms are large enough to accommodate four people. They have refrigerators and microwaves in the room. The room and bathroom are always clean. I like that they have chairs outside your room if you want to sit out there in the evening and seating areas outside to enjoy your picnic lunch or an evening meal. I appreciate that they have a jacuzzi and an indoor and outdoor pool. My older sister has bad knees, and we requested a bottom floor during our booking, and they were able to accommodate her needs. The breakfast area is always super clean and well-stocked consistently, even though it's more of a continental breakfast. You can always find a protein because they provide boiled eggs and yogurt. I like that they have a microwave in the breakfast area to cook your oatmeal or warm up your leftover dinner or lunch from the day before. There were four of us in one room and we had plenty of space for our luggage and ourselves to move around. We didn't feel cramped and they had several outlets in the room so you could charge your electronics. I appreciated that our room was near the ice machine so we could fill up our water bottles before we ventured out in the morning to the hot springs. The prices here are very reasonable compared to other places in Glenwood Springs, and I will definitely be returning to Cedar Lodge in the future.

I’ve stayed at Glenwood Springs Cedar Lodge twice now, and both times have been great experiences. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool, hot tub, and steam room are all well-maintained and a nice bonus after a day of exploring. The beds are comfortable, the water pressure is excellent, and the whole place stays quiet and relaxing. For the price, it’s a solid value in the area, and I’ll definitely continue staying here when I’m back in Glenwood Springs.

Downtown Glenwood Springs has alot going on most of the time . Bars that have their own breweries on premises. Different types of restaurants to suit ur craving for whatever. Chinese , Japanese natural healthy food places, food truck w/perogies . Italian, Mexican , smoked food, Steak , seafood (Trout very popular) there r 2 ice cream parlors . And plenty of shopping though out the city .thrift stores and a book store .two major hot springs and Hot springs along the river. Under the bridge is the heart of the city .The city has music under the bridge all summer long tuesday thru Sunday. Movie nite they set up a screen and play older movies . Small rock boulders for kids to play on and table for adults to sit and eat while watching the train go by and listen to music, drink eat and be merry in downtown glenwood Springs . FYI no more farmers market on Tuesdays or any day... .the city took a vote .

Slope & Hatch is a laid-back counter-serve eatery located near the Roaring Fork River, popular among families and outdoor enthusiasts seeking post-adventure meals. The menu offers a variety of tacos featuring global flavors, from fried fish with pico de gallo to unexpected Asian twists. Additionally, the spot serves locally sourced hot dogs like the Glenwood Completo with avocado and ancho remoulade. Guests can pair their meals with Colorado beers and margaritas.
These tacos are quite large, about the size of your palm, and absolutely delicious! We ordered takeout and it was ready quickly. The asada was incredibly juicy and flavorful, and the generous portion size made for a very satisfying meal. Even though the restaurant was packed with people, the staff were incredibly efficient, churning out orders with skill, which was impressive. You can easily get here by just crossing a small bridge from the Glenwood Springs hot springs. Grabbing your tacos to go and enjoying them at a nearby pub's outdoor seating is also a great option. Highly recommend!

On our monthly date night we decided to give Slope and Hatch. The food is good, although the brisket was a little dry. The menu is very diverse. The dining space is super small and not really accommodating to large groups. This place is definitely a dine and run kind of place. There’s not enough space to really linger and hang out. This is more of a place you order takeout from. Maybe we will try that next time.

Great lunch spot off the interstate. Tasty tacos and hot dogs served with chips and fries. Grilled cantina fish was particularly good. Can be hard to find parking and seating as the place is crazy busy, but service is great and dishes are simple so tables open up quick

Came up for a short work trip and stopped in with coworkers who had an amazing experience previously and couldn’t stop dreaming about the food they had last time. Food came out fast and hot, the Jerk Chicken tacos were delicious, and the Paloma hit the right spot. I will definitely be back when I’m in town next.

YOUR SEARCH IS OVER! EAT HERE! We were driving through the Glenwood Springs area, and stopped for dinner. Found the typical pub restaurants and stumbled upon this gem. Great customer service, friendly staff and DELICIOUS FOOD. I had the grilled fish tacos, husband had the lamb curry tacos. We split the Cajun fries - and had way too much food, but dang was all of it delicious!! Will 1000% come back if we are ever in the area again. Honestly we were trying to convince people on the sidewalk to eat here, it was that great. Only con, inside dining is small. But who cares, ya know.
Ashley S — Google review
One of the Fly-Fishing guides recommended this eatery. At first glance, it is a storefront next to a parking lot, and has some outdoor seating. The food was surprisingly good, not overly seasoned but well prepared. the staff was friendly and helpful, and the plates were ample (two people could easily share them). The tacos were great, and the other meals (and hot sauce) were awesome. We were there for a quick lunch before heading home, and it was a great recommendation!

Slope & Hatch in Glenwood Springs is fantastic. The tacos are absolutely unreal—fresh, flavorful, and super creative. The service is fast and friendly, and it’s an easy spot to swing into for a great meal. Highly recommend.

All Tacos all the time and that is a good thing. Choices galore, I had the crispy fish which was excellent, multiple flavors spices and consistency. Seating both inside and outside but very limited so if you wish to "dine in" you will likely have to wait. Don't miss the chance to try this place, pick up and take out would be my suggestion, the Tacos are worth any trouble you might have getting them. Highly recommended.

Doc Holliday's Saloon and Restaurant is a Western-themed tavern in downtown Glenwood Springs, offering a nostalgic experience with its antique bar and pistol sign hanging above the entrance. Visitors can also explore the Doc Holliday Collection & Memorial while immersing themselves in local history at the Glenwood Springs Historical Society and Frontier Museum.
As an avid traveler that explored many restaurants, I have to give props to the service and hospitality that was shown during my visit! The food prices here are very reasonable and the restaurant is generous with its portion. The burger was simple yet packed full of flavors it makes me want to come back for more! My server Audrey was a pleasant lady that provided a warm and efficient service from sitting me down to getting the bill! Do bring your wallet as the restaurant doesn’t accept Apple Pay yet but Audrey was very helpful in resolving the situation. Highly recommend anyone visiting Glenwood Springs to experience this bar, you will not regret it!

I’m very mixed about reviewing this place as visually it has everything that I like in a bar that makes it an easy five stars all day long. No music was playing but we got to listen to a baseball game blaring away with adverts and all. We sat at the bar and in my experience that’s usually the best place for attentive service although the place only had a few customers. We ordered beers and food that included nachos and sandwiches. I retrieved our own coasters for our dripping beer jugs , had to ask for side plates, napkins , cutlery etc. Maybe we had the B shift working on this particular Sunday afternoon. Some easy fixes in my opinion and this is an awesome bar but saying that I would always give any place another try.

Probably the best waitresses I have seen in 15 years. She had 30 people by her self when I showed up. Tending bar and taking orders. Never waited on anything, food was out fast AND IT WAS GOOD. Very fair prices. I will be back when I am in town. To the owner, Andrea is a rock star.

This place has my heart. I'm a huge fan of Doc Holiday and this place is like a small shrine to him. The feel is old west museum meets a kickass bar. Had a whiskey toast to Doc and ate the buffalo burger 🍔. The ladies and Charlene were great busting their butts serving this delicious old west cuisine. Bought a shirt to commemorate this glorious visit.

This bar meets the intent of a bar and grill. I believe the saturday we were there, they were understaffed either in the kitchen or waitstaff or both. We did get our drinks in quickly and waited a while to put in our food order. One couple next to us waited for over 20min and ended up leaving as no one gave them water or took drink orders. The Wyatt Earp burger was awesome and delicious. The fries were good and so was the ranch. Beers came in cold glasses and a local CU game was on the tele. This is a decent spot for some grub or if you want a drink at the bar. It meets the goal but I think better could be found. This place leans heavily on its namesake.

I enjoyed a wonderful evening filled with delicious food, strong cocktails, and amazing service. My fiancé and I hosted a pre-wedding celebration for our wedding party on Sunday night. The staff was very accommodating and helpful in ensuring our party of 9 was easily seated without an extended wait. Brava does not accept reservations; however, you have the option of contacting the manager for larger parties so they can prepare space ahead of time - that would be my suggestion for anyone looking for a table for 5+. The atmosphere is very intimate with low lighting and soft music. Perfect for a evening with friends or a date night. All of the food was wonderful! They have a nice variety for the menu without being overwhelmed with options. Everyone was very satisfied with their dinner options and my personal favorite were the well crafted cocktails. It's a bit pricey - consider this a decadent evening out, but well worth it!

My husband and I were celebrating our 19 year anniversary and came in here looking for something to mark the occasion. We weren’t greeted at all and we were there for several minutes. However, another couple came in after us and the gentleman working walked right up to them greeted them and offered assistance. He said he would be happy to answer any of their questions or contact the artist with any questions he couldn’t answer. Wow, that is quite the service. Maybe we could have been greeted with a hello when we walked in considering we were there before this couple. It turned me off so I told my husband I wanted to leave. Too bad since I spotted something I really liked.

We stumbled upon this place our first day wandering around downtown GWS. Alisha was the best bartender we encountered on our 3 week Colorado/New Mexico trip. So informative about the area, and the products at the Stoneyard (and a very fun person!). We actually stopped in each of the 3 days we were in town. Bought some Horchata Colada, Nutty Russian and Horchata flavored vodka to take home. The Horchata Colata is amazing! Should have bought some of the bacon moonshine, but didn't. We will be stopping in again as we travel through Colorado in October…..

SUCH A GREAT BAR!!! Sarah was so fun, she explained every drink to us and was so patient when we didn’t know what we wanted. I booked on a discount website so for under $200 it was well worth the price. We stayed one night. The room was a nice blend of modern and historic. The bed was nice, pillows were thick. No AC but the fan was strong and didn’t make any noise. Radiator heat for winters. The shower was okay, a little mold in the caulk but decent for a historic hotel. It felt updated and clean. Location can’t be beat, easy walk to downtown across a pedestrian bridge.

Spent one night here for my birthday with my wife with a Hot Springs package. We arrived by train from Denver and took the hotel shuttle to the hotel. Driver was fantastic and friendly. The hotel was gorgeous but in need of an upgrade. The front desk was welcoming and helpful. The room was nice but the windows would not close and bugs entered thru the window in the bed area as did the highway noise. Only 2 elevators that I could find and they were slow. Hallways in upper floors were extremely wide but had very little furniture so it felt very odd walking down them. Bar and restaurant were available but my only issue was the closing time… it was too early. Monday Night Football was on and they were calling last call in middle of 3rd quarter. In the morning, the lobby area was extremely cold and drafty. Coffee shop had some of the best coffee I’ve had in ages. Glad we stayed there for history’s sake but will stay somewhere else the next time we are in town.

Hotel steeped in history. Beautiful historic hotel. Large room and a great bed. Pillows could be upgraded they where a little lumpy. I love that they have real coffee cups in room. Makes the difference for me. Bathroom was fine. Facuts in sink where tricky because you had water both ways you turned them. If not just right it dripped. Didn't try the shower as this was just a 1 overnight.

I loved all the historic aspects of this hotel. Great central location, less than a mile from almost everything you'd need or want during your stay. I also really appreciated the hotel's family quiet hours from 10pm-8am. My room overlooked the entrance of the hotel and had an amazing view of the mountains. The staff were friendly and helpful, but I did have to wait in a long line when checking in. What I didn't love is they charge $15 per night for parking in their designated parking lots. I don't agree with charging guests for parking. Designated permit parking is great, but if you're already paying to stay there, don't charge me for parking on top of the other fees. There is some free parking around the hotel, but it was hard to find a spot as many other people were parking in the free areas. The bed and pillows in my room were very comfortable, which I appreciated, but overall, the room had some disappointing aspects. The Keurig machine didn't work properly - I tried it twice - and both times it spit out a lot of grounds into the coffee. One of the coffee mugs provided in the room was very dirty. The bathroom floor didn't look clean, some of the towels had stains, and the bath mat was very ragged. The water pressure in the shower was quite low and the water never got hot, even after 15 minutes. I followed the instructions given (wait 5-7 minutes for water to heat up due to hotel's old heating system). I was fine with waiting, but even after that timeframe it didn't get past lukewarm so I didn't want to waste anymore water and started my shower. Also tried the shower at a different time the next day just to see if it would be different (maybe less people using at that time) but had the same experience.

Wow, beautiful building and incredible history. Room was nice, they gave us the room with the balcony which was beautiful looking into the courtyard. I really enjoyed all the historical items on the hotel. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Would certainly recommend this hotel as the one place to stay in Glenwood springs.

Our stay was wonderful, and a big part of that was thanks to Jill at the front desk. From the moment we walked in, she was warm, friendly, and genuinely inviting. We had a small issue during our stay and she took care of it immediately with such professionalism and kindness. She goes above and beyond for guests, and you can tell she truly enjoys what she does. Jill is an absolute joy and a great example of excellent customer service!

I'm going to break down the Hotel Colorado into 2 bits here, one as the historical tourist destination and the other as a hotel experience. The Hotel itself is rich in history and is beautifully well maintained on both the outside and the main halls. The lobby and outdoor garden are just absolutely breathtaking. I could spend a good hour or two just reading the history all over the place. Honestly it is a must not miss experience for any history lover. Now as for staying at the hotel, let's begin with the fact staying at the Hotel Colorado is not cheap - its not my first pick but everyone said try it can't be beat so I figured ok, I'll do it for the experience.... And I sadly found it lacking. Honestly I should have slowed down more maybe read the fine print a bit, so I won't blame the hotel for my lack of reading more closely. But as a hotel the Hotel Colorado is...just not quite there: -Pay for your parking, alright that is fine, it is not uncommon practice. -No breakfast provided on a already moderately pricy menu. (2$ upcharge on extra flavor for coffee seemed....odd?) -The rooms vary in benefits and ammenties, some rooms have mini fridges (hearsay) , ours didn't, no AC's are installed at this time of year which can be off putting for any hot sleepers out there. -The rooms were neat and clean, and matched the time period but they seemed....empty. -Bathrooms were clean, generous ammenties provided there. -The Hotel Colorado boasts close access to food, shopping and the nearby springs (of which you either need to buy a hotel bundle to access or pay at the front door/website just fyi) Overall it was comfortable and quiet and clean, and the staff were incredible and so nice, but the stay just didn't feel like it fit the price ticket you know, it just needed something a bit more. So as a tourist spot - easily 4.5 lovely staff, lovely building, amazing As a stay 3.5 - unless you are there for the novelty or ghost hunting (of which I did not see any haha)

Jill at the front desk was a joy to speak with and had a wealth of information on the hotel. I enjoyed the comfort of my room and the new features like the flat screen TV and Keurig machine! The historic lobby was wonderful and the bar was delightful but hotel rooms are still extremely noisy with slamming doors, running children and crying babies but I used my ear plugs! My suggestion is that this hotel should make at least one floor ADULTS-ONLY and make it the fourth floor and the penthouse fifth floor also so as to avoid the hall-running children noises.

Glenwood Caverns Gondola Base is the starting point for an adventure in Glenwood Springs, offering access to both the caverns and the Adventure Park. The gondola ride provides a scenic journey with views of the area. At the Adventure Park, visitors can enjoy various rides, including a thrilling mountain coaster and a vertical drop roller coaster. Additionally, there are options to purchase tickets specifically for the gondola or for specific attractions within the park.
my family and I went on New Year's Eve and enjoyed a beautiful ride of the mountain in a gondola with sweeping views of the valley. at the top there's an old Western town style amusement park with shops and a restaurant that serves American fare and delicious hot cocoa and treats. we did the fairy caves tour and enjoyed it. Ashley was a great tour guide. only negative is the bathrooms were not the cleanest, but when we asked management to tidy up, they were right on it.

Interesting place. We caught it 1st part of May. They do a good job telling the story. Weather, I am sure it can be hit & miss. Take sun screen with you. Limited services at the top.
Jesse J — Google review
If there is a ton of wind... You are stuck there till the winds die down. Rides are ok. Cave tours are amazing and informative. They no longer have the old time photo shoot area and the souvenir shop is extremely over priced (but that is every tourist place you go) a hot dog is minimum $8 and a soda is $5 for a bottle like you get at the gas station. The rules say no outside food or drinks/coolers but so many people had them there it was a little irritating for those of us that follow the rules.
Trisha E — Google review
If you want to tour the caves or visit the adventure park, you basically have no choice than ride up in the gondola. Oh, and there is a $10 parking fee. Very expensive for the experience. Not an easy walk. Very steep grades. I wouldn't make a special trip to go, maybe if I was in the area for another reason. They have a small play area by the Alpine Coaster. This playground is unsafe. Not sufficient use zones around the play components and the shredded rubber safety surface material should be a minimum 6 inches deep and it measures 1 inch at best. Do nor let your kids play here.

We came from Wisconsin and its very long. All the way we came to colorado and we stayed near Vail and the gondolas over there are closed for now and we disappointed and today on our way to Aspen we saw the gondolas in air and we were really happy just to see those. Its really awesome and peaceful I can mark this done on my bucket list. Suggestion: Please advertise there are gondolas because lot of places those were temporarily closed. Hope this reach to many more people and they can also enjoy the absolute beauty of the town too

The caves were my favorite part. My daughter loved the roller coaster. I also liked the crystal tower ride. No wait
Rakel S — Google review
Haven't even got there yet and the trip has made everyone hot and frustrated. You can book tickets online but you still have to queue for about an hour. We just wanted the gondola as we have a 2 year old who can't go on the rides yet we still had to pay full price for all the rides. Systems NEED to change. Everyone in the queue was complaining. The website is very uninformative, you can't sign the waivers which you need to sign, so you need to wait for everyone to do it in the queue... Backwards. Please change.
Simone D — Google review
Great views! You get dumped off into Adventure Park, so be prepared for that. Buy tickets in advance for a tiny discount, but you'll still have to wait and sign all the disclaimers before getting on the Gondela.

Great little wine shop, lots of variety and some hard liquor too. Popped in after lunch to grab a bottle of wine to go with pizza in our hotel room later tonight (been camping for a week, and needed a rest!) and asked for a $20 rec. The shop keeper selected a $17 bottle and recommended a pizza place (which we later got for dinner, wow amazing) too when we said we didn’t have plans on what pizza we were having later. Great experience all around!! (And as I’m drinking my wine now I can tell you it’s delish and goes fabulously with our recommended pizza as we gorge on tv and chilling!)

Overcharged. After sampling a few beers at Casey Brewing, I decided to pop into a local liquor store and grab some craft beer. They had a good selection and a very knowledgeable gentleman made some suggestions. They had 2 coolers of singles and probably 4-5 of packs. I made a 6 pack of singles. 5 that were 5.99 and 1 from their scratch and dent shelf that was supposed to be 1.99($32 of beer). When they rang up, it came to $49. I said something had to be wrong, so he changed a few things and charged me $41.19 which still seemed high. I received a notice on my phone of the charge and then he said it didn't go through... but it was only supposed to be $35 so he wanted to run my card again... i showed him and someone else who was working how the charge was showing on my card. They said they would correct it... it's a week later and still no correction. The store is nice, small... if it weren't for the billing issue I might have given them 4 or 5 stars.

I have had the wonderful pleasure of shopping here for years while I came up to visit Casey Brewing and grab my member beers. I’ve never had a bad experience, the selection is arguably the best in the state however today takes the cake for experiences. I rolled in with a double stroller with my 3 month old sleeping inside. The woman greeted me and wanted to help me with anything I needed. We were able to figure out all the beer I wanted to grab. Then a gentleman came out of the back to recommend a bourbon and help me load everything into the stroller and then help me get the stroller to the sidewalk. Such an awesome experience from start to finish. Just another reason why I won’t shop anywhere else besides Coopers when I’m in Glenwood.

This shop might be the best beer shop I have been to, especially for it size. Its concise collection of modern ipa’s, rare sours and ba stouts is phenomenal. I travel to destinations for hard to get beers which made this shop a real treat to have so many hard to get beers in one stop. Just check out the image for a sample of what they had on hand when I was there, truly amazing!

Had a fantastic experience with just my wife and me. The games are well designed and the game master is fair and funny. We did the Christmas room and really enjoyed it. Perfect date night idea.

It was unbearably hot inside-dripping sweat hot (and we went on a day that it had been raining most of the day mid June). We did The Doctor serial killer room which was not scary at all, cramped, horrible puzzle/code writing to get through the rooms, and has a total success rate of around 10%. Not fun. Staff was very nice. I recommend going to the one in Steamboat instead.

It was a hot day and the air conditioning did not work. The attendant suggested we keep the door open to the corridor and that made the experience much better. We enjoyed the challenges created by "The Elevator" escape and worked as a team and individuals to solve the clues. As always a first rate experience.

The White River National Forest Supervisor's Office offers a variety of accommodation options, from glamping and RV camping to luxurious RV resorts near Glenwood Springs. For those seeking more comfort, there are also options for staying in bed without needing an RV. The forest is home to numerous mountain lakes, with Piney Lake being a popular destination accessible by a scenic drive from Vail, CO.
There are many mountain lakes in the White River National Forest, but the day we were there, Piney Lake was our destination. Started the day by driving up to Piney Lake from Vail, Co. Fun drive, and not too treacherous the day we went - even when passing. Speaking of passing. Just pull over and slow down if you are scared and let the other, more experienced, or more crazy drivers proceed in front of you. That way you are not going to accidentally go off the edge or anger someone. If you want to go, don't use GPS. It will not guide you correctly. Google it and follow the signs. It's not too hard to get there. Once we arrived, there were many people up there hiking, fishing, canoeing, and generally enjoying the amazing valley. Even though the road up and back is a bit rough, I would go back, hike more and try to get more photos.

Waiter was friendly and even shared some local information about points of interest. Food arrived quickly and was definitely delicious and large portioned. They speak English and Spanish. Looking for a decent & affordable breakfast/brunch/lunch place in the cute town of Glenwood Springs? You found it. Located on the main strip, walking distance from the Amtrak station. Recommended! Support your local small businesses & restaurants.

Our breakfast at Daily Bread was both delicious and efficiently served. My husband’s meat lovers skillet, though flavorful, was a bit dry and could have been enhanced with more cheese or a sauce. My tofu scramble with gluten-free bread was excellent, and the large orange juice, priced at $4, had the fresh-squeezed taste I love. The fruit side could have included more fruit. The homemade blackberry jam was a delightful touch. With both indoor and outdoor seating—complete with umbrellas—the atmosphere is inviting. A great spot for gluten-free diners! Our waitress seemed frazzled but she was plenty nice just in a huge hurry!

My breakfast was delicious, I got the Scandinavian eggs Benedict and it was so yummy. only complaints are that the onions could’ve been chopped smaller, and It was a little hot in there which made it hard to enjoy my coffee. But over all I had a good experience. Sarah was such a good waitress, vary friendly and on top of things. Would definitely recommend stopping by for breakfast if your in town:)

Granola was ok. The seeds seemed burnt and it didn’t even have any fresh fruit on it. I’ve had better burgers too, it just felt not put together. Our server was slightly rude, didn’t want to wait for our drink orders, couldn’t modify the items on the ticket, forgot items and couldn’t inform us that some things are not available on the burger. Only after she didn’t have so many tables outside - we started getting a nicer server. Treat your work and the people who you serve with the way you’d like to be treated.

Affordable prices, delicious food, and attentive, polite staff. The fresh coffee was flowing, the food came out quickly and was so delicious! Such a good experience all around. Server was 100% rude. When we asked what the seasonal fruit she told us to look at the picture on the menu. Dropped off the wrong beverages and didn't come back. When we were done she brought the check and the machine and left. We didn't know we were supposed to check ourselves out so we waited for her to return. When she did she told us we were jamming the main computer and to process our payment. I told her I didn't know how to use the machine. She said "you don't know how to tap?". I have never been treated so rude. The food - avocado spread smeared partially on the toast. Blintzes were not reflective of the description. The other employees were very nice and helpful.

Nestled in a charming, vintage building reminiscent of the 1930s, Rocky Mountain Pizza Co. is a delightful spot for pizza enthusiasts and casual diners alike. This cozy eatery features an exposed-brick interior that adds to its inviting ambiance. While their creative pizzas take center stage—available by the slice or whole pie—the menu also boasts an array of delicious options including fresh salads, mozzarella sticks, calzones, and crispy shoestring fries.
I can confidently say this is the best pizza I've ever had in my life! It's true that there are a lot of people, long lines, and it takes about 20 minutes to get your pizza after ordering, but once you taste it, you'll understand why. I ordered the Caprese pizza with tomatoes. It had so many tomatoes, the crust was just the right thickness, and there was a generous, balanced amount of cheese – it was truly delicious. I think they use high-quality olive oil too, as it added a deep richness to the flavor. We took our pizza to go and ate it at an outdoor table near another pub's entrance. People saw us eating it and actually started flocking over, thinking that pub sold pizza, trying to order some! That's how good it looked! Seriously, after visiting the hot springs, you absolutely have to go get this pizza. It was so incredibly delicious that it's left a wonderful memory. The staff were also genuinely very friendly, and the service was excellent.

Ended up eating lunch here while we were visiting Glenwood Springs. We both ended up getting the combo which is a dink, slice of pizza and a side salad for like 15$ depending on if you get beer or soda. Food was very solid, was impressed by the freshness and taste of the salad and the pizza was very well made. Extra points for excellence service: the waitress gave my partner 2 slices of pizza as they had cut them small. Would recommend this restaurant for the quality food and excellent service.

The best pizza I've had in Colorado! The restaurant is casual, perfect for families, and service was timely considering how busy it was on a Friday night. The large pizza is enormous, which is a big bonus for our growing family of 5. We ordered the Smoke Jumper and we were not disappointed. The dough is made fresh daily creating a crunchy, airy crust that doesn't leave you feeling too heavy afterward.

Chomps Deli is a hidden gem in Glenwood Springs that every sandwich lover should visit. This local favorite has garnered accolades for its fresh and diverse sandwich offerings, catering to all tastes, including vegetarian options. Despite its unassuming appearance, the deli serves up some of the best sandwiches around. One traveler raved about their Italian sub, noting how quickly it was prepared and how friendly the owner was upon arrival.
Fast quick service with great sandwiches. They don't hold back on the meat which is rare for a sandwich shop. Veggies were good quality and applied in amounts that balance all aspects of the sandwich. Price point isn't bad considering this is in a ski town.

I had the roast beef sandwich. I liked it. The prices are reasonable. What I didn’t like; -The offer soup which is why I went there in the first place, and they said they don’t have any today. - Customer service. The radio was really loud and it was hard to hear the worker taking the order. I asked him to speak up and he smirked and shook his head. - I asked what the different sandwich sizes looked like and the man taking the order showed me with his fingers. I had to ask to see a sample. - The girl behind the bar was quiet and wouldn’t look up from her work to make eye contact or say a word to help with the order. - the restaurant needs some serious decluttering. .

Overall, a great deli near the hotels. The smallest sandwich, with tip costs about $12, but I really enjoyed it. Better than subway, or any of the other nonsense you get anywhere else, so I would say just skip subway and go to Chomps. It’s very fresh, the ladies back there were slaying the food out, and sure were friendly.

This place always hits the spot, their hot dog sandwich is my all time favorite sandwich, My wife loves the Turkey sandwich and the kids seemed to be a as much a fan of it as the staff was a fan of seeing the kids come in. Super friendly service, And great addition on options to make the sandwich "yours". Can't wait to come back, I Wish they were closer to my home in Denver but my wallet is glad they are not. Always a real treat on our wonderful vacations to Glenwood.

The owner is more worried about young kids (with their clothed parent) having a shirt on than the cleanliness or presentation of his establishment. I walked half a mile with my 4 young kids from the front of the hot springs pool, eager to try the place. As soon as we enter, without even greeting us, he immediately says the kids need a shirt and rudely kicks us out. This is while no one else was even in the restaurant too. It's no where near as classy place or top quality food for this customer service treatment.
Christopher A — Google review
I didn't want to leave a review but I went to the website and they don't have a contact email so I guess this is the way they get feedback. I haven't been to Chomps in years. At one point they were my favorite sandwich shop ever. After the new owner took over I went twice and then quit going because it was nowhere near as good as when Fish owned it. Lots of locals quit going for awhile, to be honest. It was just immediately much worse. For some reason, today I decided it would be a good idea to try it again. I got a Veggie Chomp to go. There was a time a Chomps veggie was the best veggie you've ever had. But now...well you can see the picture. I took two bites and pitched it. I didn't give them one star because they have more than four from a decent number of reviewers so maybe it's just the veggie sandwich that went downhill. I couldn't bring myself to give three because that sandwich was almost unfathomably pathetic. If I saw that picture as the owner I would be very embarrassed. The person at the counter did warn me they were out of sundried tomatoes, but as you can see in the pic it looks like they ran out of everything but avocado spread. They still use Louis Swiss bread so that's good. I've heard people say the owner tells customers he bakes it in-house. It's Louis Swiss. You can get those exact same rolls at the City Market in El Jebel. And yes, they are excellent. Anyway, I hope this compels the owner to step up his game. That place is a shell of what it was 15+ years ago.

If you find yourself in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, make sure to stop by Kaleidoscoops for a delightful ice cream experience! This charming ice cream chain boasts an impressive selection of hand-dipped cones, sundaes, and shakes that are perfect for cooling off on a warm day. With a commitment to using high-quality ingredients, Kaleidoscoops offers an array of flavors that cater to every palate.
What a great find! Would be so nice to have one of these shops at home! Huge scoops and plenty of choices. Their menu had a lot of great options, only wish we'd found this place sooner! Black walnut and a new all-time favorite: Muddy Boots. Some of the best ice cream and reasonably priced, too!

Great little shop with tons of flavors. Staff were super friendly and patient with our kids when they were making up their mind. Lots of gluten free options including a gluten free cone!

I just wanted to compliment your amazing staff I dealt with today. I had an important birthday and Maxine, Mel, Bristol and Adi helped me immensely. We are locals and our parents live here as well and we always have gone downtown for ice cream but we will be going here from now on. I also work at a local motel and will start sending guests to you. Thank you again!!! 💕🦋🐝🌻☀️💕

We have purchased several icecream cakes from Kaleidoscoops for our kids’ birthdays over the years, both specially made and from the freezer. They are delicious and adorable EVERY TIME, and always with the best customer service in the process. This week they blew our family away with what we thought was an over the top design request from our seven year old- rainbow unicorn. The end result was incredible, and they were even flexible and friendly in extending our pickup day. THANK YOU so much for the reliably awesome treat and service! 10/10 WOULD recommend Kaleidoscoops, whether for a cake or a milkshake.

When in or nearby Glenwood Springs, one simply Must Go To Kaleidoscoops! The ice cream is full of delicious imagination 😋. Not seen anything like it from the ordinary chains found throughout the country. No, this little ice cream shop is unique. Be prepared for a short wait, but the line moves quickly. The two girls working on the day we went were efficient and nice to customers. No bad attitudes here. A lovely little visit worthy of another and another.

We got a Banana Split from Kalediscoops with Dump Truck, Key Lime Pie, and Blue Berry Waffle Cone. To say it was delicious was an understatement! And the owner ( shout out Evan!) was super cool and very welcoming. Definitely a must have when coming through Glenwood!

Experience the thrill of the Alpine Coaster along with other exciting rides like the Cliffhanger Roller Coaster, Giant Canyon Swing, Glenwood Canyon Flyer, and Soaring Eagle Zip Ride during the summer. The Alpine Coaster offers a unique experience as each car is securely attached to the track, allowing you to take every turn at full speed without fear of flying off. The park staff are friendly and accommodating, making it an overall enjoyable experience.
That was so fun!! The gondola was terrifying on the way up, it didn’t seem to close fully upon further thought. We didn’t think much of how the ride could’ve been better until the ride down when it was fully sealed, lil sketchy. The gondola down was comfortable and beautiful! The coaster was so cool and so much fun!! We did it several times and enjoyed some hot beverages after.
Sav_cc33 — Google review
My family loved this coaster. We did something similar while in Tennessee but they all enjoyed this ome much more.
Jessica G — Google review
This was a fun, unique experience. It is simple and not exactly thrilling compared to let's say their defiance roller coaster, but because of the unique seating position and your control over your speed, it creates a unique experience. You have to push handles, forward the entire ride to maintain top speed and you could choose to slow down if you wish. Of course I do not recommend it. You want to go full speed the entire time. But because you have control over it, it changes your perception of it.
Nathan P — Google review
A truly classic amusement park ride. The view is stunning as you're flying along the track on the side of the mountain and the attendants make sure to instruct you on how to ride safely and what to do at the bottom. They also have cubbies near the entrance where you can leave your things so you won't need to rent a locker if you have a bag/purse. The best way to ride is full speed ahead, don't worry it's safe and you won't fly off
Tabby W — Google review
Really fun, rode it 3 times. Would ride again. Word to the wise: don't apply the brakes, the ride will slow you if you go too fast
Jeffrey B — Google review
Great ride! The park in general is amazing and the Alpine Coaster was the highlight for me.
Pablo M — Google review
Really fun park but super intimidating. Staff is super friendly and just an overall good time. Be sure to wear sun block as you are closer to the sun. 1 recommendations is to have more shaded areas if possible. I know your on top of a mountain so I'm not knocking any stars on that. Mainly lost a star on the hush puppies.
Kristopher C — Google review
Update: We didn't have the chance to ride the side today due to maintenance, but we still enjoyed the views from the park and the Fairy Cave tour with Shea. He's a great guide! They do have a parking fee of $5 for the main lot now if you're not an annual pass holder. I believe it's still free parking if you park up the hill and across the street. This is a great ride. You can go slow or full speed down the hill. It has a few sharp turns and some whoop di dos, for lack of better words lol. Definitely a ride you have to take when going up to the park.

The Doc Holliday Museum, located in Glenwood Springs, is a satellite location of the Historical Society that showcases the life and legend of John Henry "Doc" Holliday. This museum offers an extensive exhibit featuring memorabilia related to Doc Holliday's life and his connection to the town. Visitors can also take a short hike to his grave marker in Linwood Cemetery.
Very interesting place with loads of memorabilia. Doc's gun from Kate, his watch from Wyatt Earp!
Kelly C — Google review
Such a cool piece of history. The staff was incredibly friendly as well.
Jaq M — Google review
I love history, and seeing items that belonged to a man of history was great. The "museum" is a room downstairs in a Western shop. Its a small display but expect to spent 20mins looking and reading. The staff in the shops are one of most friendliest in the town. They're always happy to help with a smile. Thanks for sharing the history of Doc Holiday with the public.
Yer Y — Google review
A lttle bit of effort needed to find this exhibit in the basement of a Western apparel store, but well worth it. Donation of $5 suggested for admission. A great story about Doc Holliday's connection with this town and his subsequent death in the hotel that previously stood on this spot. You'll enjoy this fairly extensive exhibit and who knows, you.may find a nice Western hat, shirt and boots to take home with you!
Chuck B — Google review
This is a very nice, informative and interesting museum. It is not large, but gives a great condensed summary of Doc Holliday"s life and his relation to Glenwood Springs. My husband and I enjoyed it very much.
Susan H — Google review
Interesting place! They have decent selection of boots, sweaters and hats! They also have jewelry section at the right corner in first floor and a museum of Doc Holliday downstairs!
Jimin K — Google review
We loved seeing all the memorabilia. I learned something new- a huckle is a coffin handle and he said “I’ll be your huckle bearer” not “huckleberry”. And the store is in the same spot as the hotel where he passed. The hotel burned years ago and they rebuilt the area with stores. Interesting!
Rene R — Google review
I was expecting a lot from this little town. They encourage and endorse “Doc” holiday trail and gravesite but the store that has the museum is not there. The museum is really just a bunch of toy guns and bottles collected throughout the years and placed in glass cabinets. The gift shop has a few items about Doc Holiday but not enough to pull the trigger and by something. This little town seems to be using “Doc” Holiday to promote and boost this town but they fall short. Great history behind the American legend they just need to work on it some more.

Sunlight Mountain Resort offers a variety of winter activities including snowmobile tours, cross-country skiing and access to 67 trails. During the summer months, visitors can enjoy hiking and biking. The staff at the resort are known for being very friendly and helpful, particularly those working in the rental area. Children's ski school is also available with instructors who take pride in teaching young ones how to ski. Visitors with little experience are able to learn more about skiing and enjoy it over multiple days.
This ski resort is a Hidden Gem. Not only does it have second steepest Peak in Colorado: THE HEATHEN, it also has a wide variety of intermediate and beginner level runs. The staff is super friendly and they have a lot of trainers for ski school. This is excellent for families with kids because the trainers take groups of three and four kids up the mountain and have them up and skiing in one day. It is amazing to see kids who have never seen before within an hour are heading down the slopes with the instructors. I highly recommend this Ski Resort it is a double A+ those who love to ski and have a variety of courses available to them. This location is great for groups who are at all different levels of skiing skills. They have everything from double black diamonds down to beginner green and blue intermediate runs.

Had the pleasure of working with Desiree for the group rates. The customer service was AMAZING. She was able to meet all of the needs of our group including switching ski days for some of us who became sick, sign some of us up last minute for ski schools, and refund lift tickets and rentals for some of us that got injured. Ski conditions were awesome! No lines for the lifts, rentals were very nice, trails had fluffy fresh powder. This place is a real hidden gem!
Madison R — Google review
I love this place. We come back almost every year. It’s far enough away from the really big resorts that it feels like you get. Local vibe, and usually the mountain is not too crowded. Great spot for beginners or advanced, as the lifts are super easy and the mountain has lots of great trails. Absolutely recommend taking a day or two here!

Great place to ski with a family. Very affordable and close to Glenwood. We had a group of 6 kids and 4 adults and everyone enjoyed the snow. Snack bar had very good food and was cheap!!! I highly recommend the Chicago hot dog. Delicious. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating.

Best run of the season for us, myself with beginner 5 and 13 year old. This place was perfect. Long nice slopes. There weren't many people in the slopes. Beautiful views.
Kristofer D — Google review
Sunlight is a beautiful gem! Has all the views and great CO snow but isn't crowded. The lifts are definitely a little ancient but our family had a blast at this resort. Everyone is so nice! Has runs for everyone! We stayed at the Gnarly Inn at the bottom which is an experience in itself. About 20 min from Glenwood Springs.
Keri W — Google review
I give this resort 4.5 stars! It would receive 5 stars if the kids in the rental shop were a little better trained. This resort shined in other areas though! First, it's very uncrowded and has some great long runs. The lifts were not the greatest but so many times I would look ahead and behind me on a run and...I was the only one there. The staff was super friendly, from the lift attendants to the lodge cafe workers to Bill in the locker office. The food was great and reasonably priced compared to other resorts. We did not have great snow unfortunately and there were some icy patches but did I mention that I had the mountain to myself many times? I improved so much. We put a 13 year old in ski lessons the first morning and not only were they super reasonable, she graduated to blues by the second day. We visited NYE weekend. The first day we arrived at 8.30 and parked right in front of the entrance. Second day we arrived at almost 10 and had a 1 or 2 minute walk. We used our Indy passes and it was super easy. Just show them at the lift ticket window in exchange for lift tickets. Only once was the beginner lift busy. Again, the lifts could themselves could be better (my boots and skis felt like 500 pound weights without foot rests) but if you want wide open spaces to ski, this is the place!

A lovely walk! There weren't any particularly long hard sections of trail. The edge is occasionally steep. I would recommend this trail for 8+ ages because of those occasional steep drop offs that go straight into the river. A couple of parts are very narrow and a bit overgrown. It is possible for the water to wash out the trail in a couple of parts. Luckily when I went in July I could walk the whole length without seeing water cross the trail path.
Jenny M — Google review
The trail is nice and goes along a river, but unfortunately was closed by some reason on may 9 2225. Few fallen logs logs stretch from one shore to other, good for scenic photos

Loved this trail, even though I didn't make it to the end (water level was high and I didn't want to go through water.) It gets narrow in places as you are going through vegetation. Watch under your feet as you go; I have seen a snake while on this trail.

Fantastic place for summer butterflies. See my photos. I was here once before, about 8 years ago. It's had a burn since then, but according to the patriarch of a local family I met on hike (and the scenery confirmed) it has recovered nicely. It is posted as closed at the wilderness boundary, so I stopped a bit short of that.
Steve S — Google review
Absolutely gorgeous trail. We initially went to the Jess Weaver trail, but there was no parking so we chose this one instead. There was plenty of parking right by the trail. The trail itself was beautiful and it wasn’t very crowded at all. We did go on a weekday, so I can’t say what it looks like on the weekend. It was a fairly easy trail, just a bit rocky in some places but our two dogs, one older and one just a year old, did just fine. Everyone on the trail was friendly and it was well maintained.

A fantastic get away at Bair Ranch! Did the ATV ride and our guide, Josh, was very informative, knew about the history of the property, and made sure we were comfortable at every point of the ride. The views were immaculate and their space for group events and weddings was beautiful and secluded. I would suggest this for anyone looking for an evening adventure or for a beautiful location for a reunion, wedding, or even bachelor/bachelorette party!

South Canyon Hot Springs is a secluded and undeveloped natural hot spring pool that offers stunning mountain views. The attraction can be reached via a short hike, crossing over one small bridge from the parking area. Visitors can relax in the cozy pool, which has areas of varying temperatures. The location is considered a hidden gem due to its serene atmosphere and beautiful scenery. It's an ideal spot for those looking to unwind and take in nature's beauty.
Our favorite little (not-so) hidden gem. The two little pools with natural hot springs are perfect to relax in. Just a few minute walk from the parking spot and you reach your destination. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, it is a perfect spot to unwind. The bigger pool is warmer, and if you go towards the far corner, it is very hot as that is where the springs are coming out of. We've been a few times, there's always someone there..the first time a dude was soaking there fully nude. So just a heads up😆 but overall, it is awesome!

One of the nice things about living in Colorado! Free hot springs! A short hike takes you to a rustic setting with gentle soothing hot springs water! Don't need tickets.

*DANGER WARNING* My friend had a very disturbing experience at these hot springs. Herself and 2 of her female friends narrowly escaped being taken by a group of organized men who were clearly there attempting to abduct women. When they got away, they drove several miles down the road and stopped to check their car, just to be safe. They found an apple AirTag tracking device under there car…..I personally had a great experience at these hot springs mid day on a completely unrelated occasion. I am a 6’3” male and I went with a group of friends, no issues. But this story was not the first I heard of. These hot springs have a reputation of creepy men frequenting them. If you don’t believe me, check all of the 1 star reviews…Now that I know, I will never go back. Women, stay safe! Tell your friends not to go, especially at night! I’ve intentionally left out significant details in the story so that Google does not remove my review. It’s really dark. Please, be safe.
Derek H — Google review
Cool place and is not very populated. Water is not very hot but still enjoyable.
Ivan M — Google review
My favorite part of our road trip from Denver to Vegas! Free natural hot springs, 2 minute walk from parking lot. Super therapeutic and relaxing. Careful getting in, it can be slippery. It does smell like sulfur (normal), and the water was somewhat cloudy from the mud being stirred up by all of us in the water. The end furthest from the entrance is warmest. I went with my husband and felt super comfortable with the crowd there, but I can see how that would depend on luck of the draw.

Sayre Park, located in the heart of the city, is a popular recreational park with various facilities. The land was donated by James Sayre in the 1940s with the condition that it remains a recreational park. Visitors can enjoy open grassy spaces for ball games and horseshoe pitching. Additionally, there are picnic areas with grills and clean restrooms available.
Cute park, friendly locals! This was our first stop in Glenwood Springs before we were able to go and check in at our hotel. Great Park right across the river from downtown Glenwood Springs. They have a little place scape for the kids some shading areas for barbecue and easy access to the river.
Michael D — Google review
It is a nice park. My only complaints are that people didn't follow the dogs on leash rule, and it was a bit crowded. I will note that I wouldn't let kids that are weak swimmers into the water, and everyone should wear a life vest, especially when the water is flowing fast like it was when I was there. Other than that, it is a nice park... There's nothing much else to say.
