Mall of America® is a colossal four-level shopping center featuring an extensive array of over 520 stores and around 50 dining options. The complex also includes attractions such as an aquarium, amusement park, and cinema. With so much to explore, visitors may find it challenging to cover everything in just one afternoon. To make the most of the experience, it's advisable for first-time guests to plan their visit in advance.
One word for first time visitors… Overwhelming! But the directory stations are very helpful to search for what you want. If you bring kids, the Lego Store and aquarium are must visits. The food court is vast and you have many choices with different types of food. Parking garage has 7 levels with clearly marked signage to find your way around. We spent 6 hours at the mall on a weekend and only covered 60% of what we wanted to do. I recommend searching stores and activities BEFORE visiting to save you time. Give yourself time to take it all in at certain spots. This is definitely a once in a lifetime experience.

I finally was able to check Mall of America off my bucket list. It definitely has a bunch of stores but I Loved the amusement park inside it also had a train and aquarium but we ran out of time to do. I dont like that even on weekends the mall closes at 9pm each day. Why not 10 or 11 with it being such a huge mall. Nevertheless I had a wonderful time I stayed at Radisson Blu which is connected to the mall and highly recommend cause it made the trip that much more easy and fun knowing we can just go to our room and back to the mall as we pleased. I think the best part was the mall off shuttles you to the Mystic Casino for free and we had a blast at the Casino.
Veronica D — Google review
I don't particularly like shopping centers, so this one was a surprise for me. I have only seen a smaller part of it but what I saw I absolutely loved. The inside Nickelodeon theme park is awesome, so is the Lego store. The Radisson Blu entrance looked really elegant, and there are so many things to see beside the shops. One of my favourite experiences in Minneapolis.
Hajnalka S — Google review
Visited The Mall of America today. A huge place, but easy to navigate once inside. Certainly lots of stores, some good restaurants, one of which I will review separately. Also lots of attractions. One of which Sea Life that I will review separately. In the middle there is a huge amusement park. Rode a roller coaster. My one complaint is that apparently the are 4 entrances and we could find one of them. The place is surrounded by parking garages. We walked from our hotel and we entered through a store. Even to get out we had to ask directions and the employee of the mall had to find out for us. This will not distract from the day. It was still a great experience
Roland S — Google review
The mall of America was truly a great experience. It’s a place the whole family can go and have a good time at doing something. I enjoyed walking through the mall into the stores and then going to look at the amusement park side very interesting. It’s been years since I’ve been here. A lot has changed. The location is great.
Nina M — Google review
Mall of America has everything except Cheesecake Factory. The mall is large and a bit confusing, I felt like I was going in circles. Due to the size, there are accessibility issues. Moving carpets like in airports would be helpful for those experiencing limited mobility. Extended hours would be cool. 9pm felt early for such a large mall, especially the food. I’m glad the public transit is easy!
Caroline — Google review
My first time visiting here, definitely a nice place to shop. My fiance and I spent about 6 hours here and I feel like we didn't see every store. They have good restaurants upstairs to go eat after doing all the shopping! I got to ride some of the rides there as well and it was very fun 😊 Would definitely come back if I ever get the chance!!
Anette M — Google review
When visiting this place, plan to spend the whole day here. It offers plenty of activities for families with kids, making it perfect for a fun day out. Whether you're on a date night, alone, or with friends, there's something for everyone. It's great to see malls thriving in the U.S. My advice is to wear comfortable shoes so you can fully enjoy your time.

The Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge—Bloomington Education and Visitor Center is a diverse sanctuary that spans over 14,000 acres, offering both rural and urban habitats for recreation while providing shelter to threatened wildlife. The refuge boasts more than 46 miles of trails, making it perfect for activities such as hiking and biking. Birdwatchers will particularly enjoy the floodplain forests, tall grass prairies, and wetlands that provide a home to various bird species.
Always a fun visit with helpful staff! I love hiling in the various trails and units, with the bass ponds trail as a favorite. The visitor center bird feeders are interesting to watch how many different birds interact. There's almost always at least one species of woodpecker on them at all times. Wild turkeys are also common.
Chaosrunepownage — Google review
We had a great experience here today. We got inside and got to see a lot of information about the animals and the habitats around. There was a nice area with bird feeders that had a lot of activity. They had backpacks that you could check out for the kids that had journals, binoculars, and lots of other information on the plant life and wildlife around. We took the trails but didn’t come across a lot of birds, but we sure did hear a lot! Overall, it was a great experience with the kids and they loved trying to look for all sorts of different things on the path.
John T — Google review
Wonderful place to take a walk and get away from the noise of the city without actually leaving the city! Short trails near the visitors center at the Headquarters building, longer trails down in the Minnesota River Valley. Warning on those hikes - there are usually lots of bugs when it is wet, and I have had to bypass snapping turtles on the longer trail that ends at the Cedar Avenue bridge. No fees required to visit. Not only is this a great place to actually enjoy the outdoors, but it also has exhibits and a store in the Headquarters building. This is also the only place I am aware of that you can buy an America the Beautiful pass in the Twin Cities area ($80 - cash, check, or credit card based on my most recent experience), which is an all access pass to those National Parks and Monuments that do require entry fees (note that all national sites in Minnesota are free entry). There aren't many places that you can buy these in person, and it is very nice to have here when planning adventures out of the state 🙂

A wonderful visitor center with large observation windows & bird feeders that draw a wide variety of nesting and migratory birds for endless entertainment. The staff are a very welcoming and are a wealth of knowledge. The building contains several different spaces that serve different purposes. It is clean and well kept. Highly recommend a visit! The trail system is wonderful, well maintained, and full of wildlife.

Hyland Lake Park Reserve, spanning 2,565 acres, is a nature lover's paradise with its extensive trail system offering picturesque views of Hyland, Bush, Normandale and Anderson Lakes. The park features a variety of activities including skiing in winter, an 18-hole disc golf course, and an illuminated Lake Trail for evening strolls. Visitors can also explore the Richardson Nature Center to encounter resident wildlife or enjoy the expansive playground known as Hyland Play Area.
Came out for a long walk and found great trails, clean paths and friendly visitors! Wish the entrance to the lake trail was more clearly marked when entering from the west. Be sure to look out for a paved picnic platform and look out into the clearing towards the lake to find it!
Jenna R — Google review
Excellent playground for a variety of ages. Has sprinkler tunnel for cooling off. Shaded picnic tables for reservations or first come first serve. Sand area was replaced with new playground equipment. Able to use Porta johns or go inside for restrooms. Has water fountains.
GRAMS — Google review
Great place to see some wildlife. We come here often. Lots of trails, several ponds, a playground area, a nature education center, and more. There is something for everyone to do here. Highly recommend that people check it out.
Brandon L — Google review
First time here with a friend. We rented a canoe for three of us to use (two adults, one child). Price was reasonable at $12/hr. Employees were great and helped us launch the canoe. Lake was beautiful and very clear. It was neat to see turtles, egrets, fish, and ducks. We did a short walk down one of the trails and it was nice! Didn't explore everything but the parts we did were great!
Krista H — Google review
This park is fantastic! There's plenty of parking, lots of open space, and a beautiful lake. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained. One of the great features is the rounded umbrellas, which provide protection from rain in case of sudden weather changes.
Rajat B — Google review
Wonderful park! Had a fantastic time with my three small kids at the "shoots and ladders" playground, then we stopped at the snack bar for a soft pretzel and finished out the morning by renting a paddle boat and going around the lake. Kids loved it!
Susie J — Google review
Great part to visit but it can get very busy. It’s a large park with many options of a picnic or hiking or many other activities.

The playground was amazing with a huge variety of things to do on it. A kids giant game of hide and seek / tag would be epic. Unfortunately when I was here it felt like 43C with the humidity. My kids would love to come back.

Children's camp
The Works Museum is a delightful destination for families seeking to ignite their children's curiosity in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Tailored specifically for kids aged 5 to 12, this interactive museum offers a plethora of hands-on exhibits that encourage exploration and creativity. Visitors can engage with captivating displays like the KNEX Ball Machine or dive into building projects in the Workshop.
Just went there today and had a lot of fun. Good for many ages and the new house segment was very enjoyable. They have a Lego wall where you can make Lego pictures and leave them there. There is a large Lego picture wall where you can see the picture and then try to make it using a battleship style grid. They have a marble coaster that took 6 MONTHS to make. There is a secret event every 15-30 minutes at the marble coaster(you will know it when you see it). There is a knex racer builder at which you can build a car/8 wheel blob to race down the track. Member ship was 25 for 3 people and you get student discounts if in a certain school and grade. Have fun!
Brennan W — Google review
Good fun little place that kept my kids entertained for 3 hours. They didn’t want to leave. My only complaint is the use of button batteries to make the little robot bugs at our last visit as they are very dangerous if put in mouth which my kids would likely do. I of course couldn’t say no to my oldest but as soon as he forgot about it I had to take it. I don’t want the stress of worrying about where it was at home and a kid putting it in their mouth.
Lynn — Google review
Hands on one story museum for kids. Some attractions, like the kinex ramp and the make your own Pinball machine were broken. Seems pricy for 13 per person for what you get out of it. Somewhat ada friensly
Amber C — Google review
I took my two nephews here, and let me tell you — they had an amazing time! 🙌 Everything is super interactive, which kept them busy, curious, and learning the whole visit. It’s such a fun way for kids to burn off that endless energy while actually picking up new things. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from start to finish, which made the experience even better. I’d definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a fun, educational outing with the little ones. 🌟
Sleep Q — Google review
My grandson (6) had a blast here. We loved the self-directed hands-on activities. His favorites were wiring up the house and adding framing. Great fun. We spent a good part of a rainy Saturday here. The two of us enjoyed watching the huge K’Nex ball machine do its thing.
Jim Y — Google review
This is a fun unique place to test out some new activities for the kids. Definitely get there early for some quiet time before camps arrive.
Trinh N — Google review
This place is really cool and there is a ton of interactive fun science and engineering types of things to do. We did not attend any of the classes well we were there, but had a lot of fun. We spent about an hour and a half here and I don't know if we would have been able to spend more time there unless we went to a class or if you came with multiple children so they could run and play and build together. This place is not huge so don't expect a ton but there are a lot of individual stations you can visit and interact with. 4 stars Because it could use some more stuff to do and see
Tony C — Google review
We expected there to be more to do here, but we were still able to spend 3 hours here. The kids (6 and 9) spent the majority of their time building with large blocks and building race cars. We hoped to build robots or find coding activities. They had a good time, but we don't plant to come back.

Hyland Hills Ski Area, located just a few miles from Bloomington, offers a great skiing and snowboarding experience with runs of varying difficulty. With nine trails, including easy and intermediate options, it's perfect for both beginners and more experienced skiers. The ski area also features terrain parks for those looking for extra challenges. Additionally, the facility allows cross-country skiing in the morning and offers a convenient ski school for those wanting to learn.
I photographed this couples beautiful summer wedding. We utilized all of the building and outside scenery that we could and got so many photos. I love being at Hyland Hills - the staff is so helpful and courteous and there's lots of great photo spots!

I would highly recommend the Hyland Hills Ski Area as a wedding venue for anyone who is interested. The space is beautiful, and can accommodate events of many different sizes. It is also super affordable to rent, even for a larger group! We initially met with Suzanne, who was extremely helpful in helping us make our decision. She was transparent about the venue, and did not make us feel pressured to make a decision. Once we decided to book the venue for our wedding, we worked with Gabby as our day of coordinator. Gabby did an amazing job, and I would highly recommend paying extra for a DOC through the venue since they know the space so well. Gabby helped us with every question we had, and was a hero on the day of the wedding, making sure that everything ran smoothly. All other staff members were wonderful as well, and we got many compliments on the venue. Thank you Hyland Hills!
Brett H — Google review
The beauty of these hills covered in an assortment of trees and amazing colors deserve an award. Fall activities are greatly appreciated by my family while riding the ski lifts. A wide variety of foods, bonfires for roasting marshmallows, and walk a llama! What fun! The view from the top is breathtaking.
Lynda D — Google review
Great skiing hill located in the metro area. They make good snow and have a lot to offer in a small area. There are beginner areas and loads of fun jumping and trick areas. Would recommend to kids and adults. The experience was fun, and we will be back...possibly get a season pass for the kids next year.
Albin D — Google review
We had a blast over the Hyland Hills Ski Area. The staff and instructors were great. Special thanks to Kevin, who gave me a bunch of great tips and coached me. They have different hills at different levels, so everyone can enjoy it. It's fully staffed in all areas, in case something happens or someone needs help. My daughter and I had a great time!
Jiancarlo U — Google review
Came here for a wedding. What an absolutey beautiful venue. A terrific view through the floor to ceiling windows, looking at the lovely green ski hill. The wedding was very nice. The staff did a great job of ensuring that the day went off without issue. Would definitely recommend to others.
Scott W — Google review
We went here to see what in-town skiing was like. Nice chalet, reasonably priced food, large terrain park, along with rope tows and (3) 4-person lifts. Overall, we enjoyed it immensely. My only complaint is that the 3 person lift to the far left of the chalet was horribly disorganized. They had 6 different entrance points for the line and no-one knew who was next to board. At one point we had a group of 4 young girls who were less-than-assertive, and so we sat there for almost 20 minutes waiting while everyone else in the other lines went right on by. After that I figured out how to demand my spot. But it still is dependant on the people in front of you. They need to limit it to 2 main lines, with a singles line that can join on the side. And speed the lift up a little bit. It felt extremely slow. Especially when compared to other chairlifts that we have seen at the other ski hills we have visited this year. Definitely would go here again!
Blaine K — Google review
Hyland Hills was a gorgeous venue for us to have our wedding. We got so many compliments from people of the beautiful landscape and even the building inside. Suzanne was super easy to work with as we went through the planning process. She was very knowledgable and was able to answer all of our questions! Highly recommend doing a big group photo of all the people you love on your wedding day as well!

Great theatre company in the heart of Bloomington! The customer service during the ticket purchasing and before the show is great! The quality of the product is top notch! Each show is led by excellent actresses & actors working within beautiful sets and often times feature a live band/orchestra. They do require masks to be worn by the audience while in the theatre and the DO enforce it, which is a plus! I can't recommend enough! Buy a ticket, sit back, and enjoy!
Daniel P — Google review
I absolutely adore this theater. I've seen at least half of their shows over the last couple years. For those who can't normally afford to go to the theater, you should check out their PWYC (pay what you can) nights. Also, if you're under 30 years old, I believe you can get tickets for $17. The talent here is incredible and they are worth paying full price, but don't let the cost stop you from seeing a show.

Love coming to the Richardson Nature Center and going up to the second floor to the fireplace room. They have big windows to watch the wildlife (mostly birds and squirrels) going crazy. Fun, peaceful, free activity. The paths are all well maintained and easy to walk.

Our preschool classrooms at Eden Prairie Montessori have been visiting Richardson Nature Center for over 10 years, and it continues to be one of the absolute highlights of our summer. Each visit is a wonderful experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we are warmly welcomed and thoughtfully divided into small groups, each led by a Richardson Nature Center staff member. These educators are not only highly knowledgeable and well-prepared, but also incredibly friendly and engaging. The activities offered are always age-appropriate, hands-on, and thoughtfully planned. Whether we’re learning about bee pollinators, catching bugs in the field, or discovering pond creatures, the children are consistently fascinated and inspired. The staff at Richardson go above and beyond to make each visit memorable, bringing learning tools and real-life experiences that spark curiosity and joy. We are so grateful for the partnership we’ve built over the years and can’t thank the team at Richardson Nature Center enough for their continued excellence, creativity, and dedication. We truly love coming here, and we look forward to many more visits to come! With gratitude, Eden Prairie Montessori

We love coming here. The birds are always active, the trails always well maintained, and the staff always friendly. The inside of this place is full of educational materials that children and adults both can enjoy. They host a number of activities throughout the year as well. They have rescued birds of prey that can be viewed, honey bees, outdoor fire pit area, natural plant gardens, and lots more. I also find it neat that they have so much solar on their building.

Such a cool adventure for the kids!!! You can either purchase an unlimited ride wristband (RECOMMENDED) or purchase points for your favorite rides. I’m glad that I purchased when I arrived, as my husband had no interest in riding anything. Nickelodeon Universe will not disappoint!

Clean, Fun, adventurous indoor theme park for all ages located inside of Mall of America. variety roller coasters, bumper cars, choo-choo trains, zip-line, paw patrol station, pineapple inflatable house, dora adventure bus, Ferris wheels , arcade, gift shops, treat vendors . There are so much fun for the families, groups, dates. They offered to host large group parties after hours. We enjoyed our annual passes.
Ellen H — Google review
To start off, the place looks clean and well themed, but understaffed. Perhaps because it's the off-season during a weekday. I mostly came to get a few roller coasters in, but Rock Bottom Plunge was closed, along with a few unique flat rides. It felt like the place was running on a skeleton crew. Perhaps it's better to try it on a weekend. I did like their automated wristband system.
Donald C — Google review
The kids and I had a great time. Although, the rides are far to expensive! Kids had a lot of fun though, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Make it more reasonable, and more fun for the Littles and I'm pretty sure it would be amazing.
Jerome J — Google review
Fun and unique experience. The prices are reasonable. 50 for unlimited per person or you can buy points. The Big rides are 6 points and small rides 3. We bought 50 points for 60(after tax) and the kids went on several rides having a ton of fun. Super convenient, since there is a mall with dozens of food and snack options in walking distance.

An absolute great time at Nickelodeon universe. You can buy tickets at the kiosk or inside the gift shop. The gift shop has lots of great souvenirs and licensed products. Lots of different rides to choose from- everything from kid friendly to more extreme rides. Definitely something that is sure to please all ages and thrill seekers alike. They have pretty cool claw machines to try out as well.

So much to do here! There’s a great variety of rides to go on, in a relatively small space- don’t let that fool you into thinking this place is small!! These are full sized rides! Most of the wait lines are not excessive- 20 minutes for the most part when we were there- and you can quickly get to your destination! There’s a thrill for everyone here, from tots, to adrenaline junkies!

Nature & Parks
Normandale Japanese Garden, situated within Normandale Community College, is a tranquil two-acre sanctuary that has been around for nearly half a century. Crafted by chief architect Takao Watanabe and the Bloomington Affiliated Garden Clubs, this garden showcases traditional Japanese elements like zigzag bridges, waterfalls, and a small-scale replica of a Benten-do shrine. The serene ambiance and year-round colorful blooms make it an ideal spot for contemplation or events such as weddings and photography sessions.
The Japanese Garden is truly a hidden gem! This enchanting little oasis took our breath away, and we had such an incredible time exploring its beauty. Every corner was a delight, making our visit unforgettable!

Very calm and peaceful place to walk around. The greenery is unique, and it feels like you are in Japan. We got there around 11AM, and there weren't that many people there. We spent about 45 minutes walking around and enjoying the peace and quiet, but as time went by, more and more people showed up and it got a little crowded. I do recommend visiting the place to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy some quiet and peaceful time by yourself. Maybe you can bring a book and read it laying under a tree. I will revisit.

I can’t believe I didn’t know there was a Japanese garden in the Twin Cities metro area until recently. After learning about this garden on TikTok, I knew I had to make the trip to Bloomington to check it out. I love that it’s a free activity with ample free parking and nestled in a quiet part of Bloomington. The short walk to the garden through the Normandale campus is lovely, and I enjoyed the sculptures I saw along the way. The garden is so serene, well-maintained, and unlike anything else in the area. I adored the waterfall, different tree varieties, koi fish, and bridges. Twin Cities air quality was awful today, so I didn’t spend a long time here, but under different circumstances, I could’ve stayed for a long time. It’s small but spacious garden, and there are plenty of spots to relax. Would 100% recommend a visit!

Beautiful place for a quick walk! Great accessibility for people with mobility issues. Lots of benches and places to rest. Shady areas. Very peaceful and quiet. In the shelter just inside the main entrance, there are brochures that highlight some of the main features of the garden. Loved it!

Finally made it to Normandale Japanese today! We've always seen this place on the news or social media feeds but agree that it was worth the drive. Smaller than I thought but still very peaceful and serene place to walk around. .50 to feed the Koi fish was a cool experience. Very quiet and no admission charge, only a free will donation at the gate. Many benches and places to rest during your walk around the pond. Cool buildings and well manicured trees and bushes. Great views from the bridges.
Tony H — Google review
Small garden path and bridges over a water feature pond. Bring two $.25 quarters so you can buy fish food to feed the giant coy. Also a waterfall. Japanese art features, benches, some shaded seating areas up sets of stairs, entrance has steeper hill to get down to garden area. If guests have mobility problems, they should bring assistive devices, canes, walkers, etc. Lots of parking in school parking lot, informative signage to tell you where to park, there's a porta potty at edge of parking lot. Short walk to garden behind school has prairie type wildflowers, statues/art pieces, and benches and sitting areas.

Very calming and tranquil. Nice walk around the grounds and a wonderful place to think

This is a beautiful garden. When I used to go to Normandale, I would often come here between classes. They used to have many large koi, but today I didn’t see any. I wonder what happened to them; I just hope they’re okay. The garden is small, but it’s enough to give you a few peaceful moments.

If you're seeking an exhilarating adventure for the whole family, look no further than Vertical Endeavors in Bloomington. This impressive indoor rock climbing gym boasts over 12,000 square feet of climbable terrain, catering to climbers of all skill levels. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced climber, there are plenty of classes and activities designed to challenge and entertain everyone. Kids can even participate in specialized climbing camps to hone their skills!
I love climbing at this location! They have super fun and challenging auto belays, top rope and lead routes. You must take a certification test to be able to top rope belay and a more intensive one for lead belaying and climbing. I love the variety of routes for all three rope climbing types. They have routes that vary from 25' to 55'. This location also has some bouldering walls as well if you are into that sort of thing. There is a huge parking lot that wraps around the building so I never have issues finding a spot.
Bryan C — Google review
An amazing experience! There were many walls for both auto belay and other forms of climbing. The walls varied in difficulty, allowing people from all levels to have fun. In my opinion, this is the best location. You could easily spend an hour and a half there. The climbing instructors are helpful and care about your safety. It is very fun and accessible for children as well. The facility was spacious, clean, and safe. I highly recommend Vertical Endeavors for a fun weekend!

Been going to this place for years, the good vibes never change! The staff is always friendly and very helpful ✨ I have brought over many friends that still keep going with me, it’s an ever growing group of rock climbers. Very good atmosphere, great crowd and overall an amazing experience. I’ve noticed the place has always stayed clean and safety is priority at this place. It’s easy to make new friends here and in general connect with others. Having a stranger encourage you is a next level bond 😄 Worth it!

Best gym in the twin cities by far, but management is rude compared to other VE locations. I've climbed all 5 VEs and numerous other gyms across the country over the past 20 years. At Glendale VE the managers are cool and chat with you a few minutes after close and really about the experience. VEB the manager literally forces you off the wall a few minutes before close even if you're close to the send.. not cool. Never was like this before the union took over...
Ryan J — Google review
Giving a 1 star rating so maybe this problem will actually be addressed finally. This VE location in particular has a horrible problem with parents leaving their kids unattended, even the ones who are too small to hook themselves in/out on their own. Not only is this unsafe (I’ve seen kids fooling around and trying to flip upside down and whatnot while on the wall because their parents aren’t watching), but parents are leaving their kids tethered to walls for 15+ minutes while other people are waiting for the wall. Just like the rest of us, we need to be considerate of other climbers and take turns on the walls. If kids can’t work the auto belays alone parents definitely should not be walking away from them. This has been an ongoing issue for years and staff members are choosing not to get involved and more kids are going to get hurt.
Lindsey — Google review
I do rock climbing here with Courage Kenny's Sports and Recreation department, so I work more with their volunteers, and don't really know the staff who work at VE. However, the ones I've interacted with at the front desk have been very nice, friendly, and helpful, whether I'm checking in or have questions about equipment, belay certification, etc. I've heard that a couple people are good at doing belay certification for adaptive climbers (I use a wheelchair), though haven't yet gotten certified myself The biggest problem with VE is that, if you use a wheelchair, you cannot independently access any of the climbing walls, whether bouldering or top rope climbing) because they use chopped up rubber as the ground material in front of walls to provide a gentler landing, instead of gym mats like I've encountered at other climbing gyms. I have to have a volunteer pull me backwards through the rubber chips to check out a wall or get to a route, so I need someone strong enough to pull me backwards to even get to a wall to climb, which limits who I can work with among Courage Kenny's volunteers, or anyone else in general. Plus they generally have to go scouting ahead for routes that I can climb, to minimize having to pull me around a large gym checking out all the routes till we find in I want to try. There are mats that can be rolled out across the rubber chips, though they are often in use for other individuals so I have yet to try them. But I'm not sure if they belong to VE or Courage Kenny; if they don't belong to VE then that definitely limits the ability to independently access climbing walls, because VE can't just go and roll out the mats for access to the walls, regardless of if I'm there with a friend to climb or just showing up to do autobelay routes, if I go on a day other than with Courage Kenny. Other than that, there is generally plenty of accessible parking, especially at night when the office building that shares the parking lot is closed. There's a gender neutral single stall bathroom right by the entrance, with grab bars and an accessible roll-under sink. The trash cans (bathroom and elsewhere), however, are the "step on pedal to open lid," kind, so I have to try to get weight on it, use a paper towel to open it, or ask someone else to open it. They also use scented air freshener spray (the canned kind) in the bathroom, which can be strong and may cause issues if certain scents and fragrances trigger health issues. There are also multi-stall men's and women's bathrooms, but I haven't been in one to know if it's accessible. The yoga room has soft squishy mats in the floor that make it difficult to push a wheelchair across, but other than that and the rubber, the rest of the floor is tiled and easy to roll across. There is a ramp up to the biggest room with high routes, a "natural" rock wall, a variety of overhangs, etc. I don't have a problem doing up and down the ramp, though it seems steeper than recommended by the ADA. The smaller room with top rope climbing has mostly shorter routes (30 ft), but does have several 60 foot routes, including one that goes up into a sort of tower room way up high; there's usually an easy route and harder routes up it so everyone can try it. There are other 60 ft routes there as well that vary in difficulty, but aren't generally as difficult as the routes in the big room because most are straight up, maybe with one overhang, instead of multiple overhangs, the wall sloping out and/or in, etc. Also in this room, Courage Kenny sets up a special adaptive rock climbing piece of equipment that allows one to sit and use only their arms to ascend straight up, allowing people who have higher levels of paralysis to climb and get way up high in the gym, like everyone else. VE changes up the routes every few months, so there's time to practice a route that you want to conquer, but also gives things fresh and new enough so you don't get bored with routes. Aside from the rubber situation, I really like climbing at this location and am always happy to go back there.

I'm near deaf and require hearingaids. I've reminded staff numerous times yet they often accost me, accusing me of wearing earbuds, lying, or purposely not responding quickly enough to questions or arbitray demands. The Bloomington gym is poorly maintained. I've fallen from loose holds in the boldering section adjacent the buildings entrance.

Came for the Walleye Fishfry and wasn’t disappointed. Fresh fish freshly fried - delish! We also had the Walleye Fish Sandwich- also excellent. Good service. Fine ambience if you like wood paneled walls and old time feel.

Our waiter was great, 5 stars for him ✨! But the taller/younger host up front was quite snooty and kind of rude to the other host and us. He was polite, but like in a he had to be nice attitude. It rubbed us the wrong way. I liked the atmosphere. My husband had the beef stroganoff and he said it's fantastic. I got the Coconut Shrimp, it was good, but not the best I've had. The fries were extremely bland without their salt and vinegar seasoning, I don't recommend. This place had a lot of people recommending it, but I feel like it was underwhelming.

Best food we have had in a long time. Had the blue cheese crusted medallions with loaded mashed potatoes, perfectly cooked, well done, Baja burger, and smokehouse chicken, all amazing! Finished with the key lime pie, which finished the perfect meal.

Wonderful service highlighting MN cuisine and hospitality. Almond crusted Walleye wasn’t as expected- a little dry- so our water promptly replaced it with the fish fry. And their homemade tartar sauce is the perfect compliment. Cesar salad and the must have mashed potatoes. Wonderful highlight to our trip!

Mediterranean salmon salad was great. Dressing was delicious and salmon was moist and nicely seasoned. Could have had more generous toppings as there were only 3 slices of cucumbers, 3 tomatoes, and 3 olives on the large salad. Old fashioned burger was tasty and Cole slaw was fresh. “Famous” salt and vinegar fries were bland and disappointing. Would get a different side next time.

The Northwest Airlines History Center, situated within the Crowne Plaza AiRE MSP Airport Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, is a tribute to the legacy of Northwest Airlines. The museum boasts an extensive collection of over 4000 aviation artifacts spanning from 1926 to 1988. Visitors can delve into the airline's history, including its involvement in World War II and notable events such as air routes, aircraft accidents, and hijackings.
Absolutely wonderful tribute to a better time - Minnesota’s own airline. Loved seeing and learning even more about Northwest - volunteers are very knowledgeable, and lots of Northwest (and other defunct airline) memorabilia available for sale! Would definitely visit again!
Jake P — Google review
Friendly informative staff. Totally worth the visit if you have an interest in airline history. There are aircraft models, uniforms, seats, control panels and more. The video on display is worth the watch. Note: Difficult to find, basically it's in the 3rd floor of the Crown Plaza hotel. Best is to ask direction from someone at the front desk. Minimal signage (none outside and a couple small signs in the hotel).
Wayne O — Google review
This free museum is a hidden gem for airline enthusiasts, those interested in history and memorabilia, and children attracted to aviation. Although the museum is relatively small, there's a lot to see, so set aside an hour--or more--if you want to read all the displays, study the photos, and view the various scales of aircraft models on display. The small gift shop has some unique items in stock that would be of interest to Northwest Airlines and aviation fans in general.

I wanted to take my disabled mom to see the museum. Unfortunately it requires a trip up a flight of stairs which would make that impossible. There was a sign at the base of the stairs that stated to see the front desk. I proceeded to the front desk. They were uncompromising and insisted that my disabled mom take the stairs. I told them they are getting a bad review, and i may also contact the BBB. To the best of my knowledge, this seems to be in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Mark B — Google review
We enjoyed this little museum quite a lot. It has everything from uniforms to airplane seats to vintage toys and games. The most interesting piece to me was the wicker chairs that represent a bygone version of airplane seating! It's free and the volunteer staff are friendly and informative.
Rachel M — Google review
The museum is on the 3rd floor of the Crown plaza hotel. It is offered free to the public. They say you don’t need to be a hotel guest. There is a elevator which goes to the 3rd floor but you can't get there without a hotel key card. We we're told by the hotel receptionist we'd have to take the stairs, which does offer access to the museum without a hotel room key card. She even said, “It's only one flight of stairs”. One flight is no problem for an able person but my wife is disabled and has great difficulty with stairs. After several appeals and actually talking to a museum volunteer who came back to the front desk with us and talked to the receptionist lady on our behalf, Crown Plaza was unyielding and would not make any other accommodations for us, (like riding us up on the elevator, which seemed like a reasonable request). We drove about 6 hrs from Chicago,IL but there was absolutely no way I was going to alienate my wife. I am going to complain about the poor accommodations for those with disabilities Crown Plaza offers though.
Cthames123 — Google review
I’ve been staying for 5 days at the Crown Plaza Suites MSP Airport and it was not until the last day that I came across the NW Airlines museum on the 3rd floor. If you're on the lookout for a lively night out in Bloomington, make sure to swing by Rick Bronson's House of Comedy, nestled within the bustling Mall of America. This vibrant comedy club is your go-to destination for an evening filled with laughter and delicious bites. With a fantastic lineup featuring both renowned headliners and up-and-coming comedians, you can expect side-splitting performances that will keep you entertained throughout the night.
Amazing Night Out! K. Trevor Wilson and Fantastic Food! I had an absolutely fantastic first time visiting Rick Bronson's House of Comedy tonight to see K. Trevor Wilson’s Special Presentation. Wow, K. Trevor Wilson was absolutely hilarious, and the opening acts were just as great—they had the whole room laughing! I'll admit, I was a little nervous due to some of the negative reviews I had seen online. However, after visiting, I truly don't understand if those people just decided not to have a good time or if they simply wanted to complain, because my experience was the complete opposite! Everyone was super nice, and it was a great place. Beyond the comedy, the entire experience was top-notch. I wanted to note that while there is a two-item minimum order (between food and drinks) with your ticket purchase, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the drink and food prices are really cheap and highly reasonable. This minimum is absolutely not a bad deal at all. We ordered the BBQ wings and a Caesar salad, and they were both absolutely fantastic. The service was quick and friendly, too. I would recommend anybody to come here. I am really looking forward to coming back soon. If you're looking for a great night of top-tier comedy, excellent food, and surprisingly reasonable prices, you have to check this place out!
Shawn K — Google review
Run down place with very bad food. The comedy act was great, but the facility itself needs a lot of TLC. Urinals and faucets not working in men's room, women's room had a stall door unhinged and to top it all off, the stove top wasn't working so it was fried and baked food only. The chicken ranch flat bread tasted horrible and the chicken tenders were worse than from a gas station. The wait staff was slow in all regards. Flat bread pizza, chicken tenders, 1 sparkling water and 2 diet Pepsi = $55 out the door.
Peter S — Google review
The server (Arianna) was fantastic... They changed the headliner without telling us, the comedian was terrible. Grill was down, so only a few fried items on the menu, almost all beer was out of stock. Huge disappointment, definitely not recommended
Matt W — Google review
Ehhh. Bought tickets for a particular show... That was canceled, and some other guys showed up... the staff was not that friendly and the drinks weren't that great. Also, at the end of the show, we were hustled out the side door so fast, I could hardly get my bearings. I wanted to see about merch as I travel quite a bit and always go to the comedy clubs and always get some sort of souvenir and that just was not going to happen here. Did not feel welcome at all and the place could use a good cleaning. Go to another club for comedy.
Mitzi L — Google review
We went last night to the show and I'm just going to be honest, the experience was not very good. When we got there, I asked if we could be seated in the back near a bathroom, the host said sure and then sat us in the middle where the only 2 seats remaining were behind a bunch of people making it difficult to get in and out. There were plenty of other seats and they chose what was more convenient for them. Besides that, there was a 2 drink minimum which whatever, but they took our order and then forgot about us for close to a half hour. When they did bring our drinks, it was wrong and they had to be re-made. The drinks tasted pretty mid but again, whatever. Lastly, the comedians in general were a little funny. Like the main guy "K Trevor Wilson" was pretty funny. He had his moments but the 2 guys before him were terrible! There were literal moments of silence because the jokes were just not landing. Overall, not an awful experience, but certainly not one to write home about.
Angie B — Google review
Overall, it was a good experience... They were experiencing difficulties in their kitchen so they had a limited menu when we went. They were advertising THC beverages... But did not have any. It seems like a long wait time to receive beverages. Towards the end of the night... Our server stood between us and the main event of the night to sort our bill as we were actively engaged with the comedian. (Crowd work) So she probably could have waited a minute until that segment was done. The overall setup and performance as far as the entertainment aspect goes was very good. There wasn't a bad spot in the house. The sound system was on point. The comedy lineup was really good. Overall I give a 3 and 1/2 Stars. Overall I give a three and a half Stars.. but I can't pick a half so I think it's three.
Rocco M — Google review
Service was slowww. Didn’t get waters when we sat down. They took about 25 minutes to take our first order. Another 20 to bring it out. Servers were nice, but they need more organization to deliver a smooth experience. Good layout, comedians were funny.

First time visitors. We liked it! C. J. Currais was awesome! We liked the other two acts, also. Food and drinks were expensive; no pop refills. AMF Southtown Lanes is a well-established chain of bowling alleys that offers casual dining options and the opportunity to participate in leagues and host events. Families can enjoy a memorable night of bowling at this venue, while serious players can join competitive leagues. The facility also hosts weekly specials and accommodates parties and events. In addition to bowling, AMF Southtown Lanes features arcade games for added entertainment.
From the moment we walked in, the vibe was electric—welcoming, fun, and perfectly tuned for a great night out. The lanes were clean, the equipment ran great, and the red light touches gave it just the right amount of charm. But what really bowled us over was the customer service. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about making our experience memorable. Whether it was helping us set up our game, recommending snacks, or cheering on our team, they went above!

We chose AMF Southtown Lanes to celebrate my kiddo's 18th birthday, and it was a solid choice. We had two lanes reserved, and most of the staff were just so wonderful and helpful. A huge shout-out to the manager—they were seriously amazing. We did have a few technical issues with the lanes, which meant some standing around, but it didn't really put a damper on the fun. Overall, the family had a blast, and it was a great way to celebrate.
Paula B — Google review
This place is ultimately one of the most confusing places I've visited. Check in: From the outside, it's hard to tell this is a bowling alley except for the dim letters that say "amf bowling." When walking in the front door, all we saw was a poorly lighted attempt of an arcade. The line to check in was a fair 10 minute wait but it makes sense since we arrived around 9 on a Saturday. We showed them our Groupon barcode (basically our ticket/reservation) and they imformed is that they couldn't accept the ticket after 6pm on Fridays, although the Groupon didn't say this and we couldve been notified ahead of time. We had called all night before arriving to no answer, so we wouldn't know even if we tried. Long story short, the manager eventually made an exception and accepted our ticket. The bar: This entire location has poor lighting, including the bar. The bar wasn't terrible, but the food, definitely was. I heard the drinks are good, but from my experience, the food is absolutely horrible. We got the chicken and mozzarella bites. The bites were okay, but the cheese felt almost rubbery. And then the chicken, it was no chicken and 99% breading and had almost a bitter taste to it. Waste of money. At least they delivered it to our lane. Bowling: The bowling software is very confusing and outdated. Overall the bowling portion was a 3 star. Tldr; I'm from Waterloo Iowa. Almost nothing I have experienced in Minnesota has been worse than locations in Waterloo (not a very good city of you can't tell) but somehow both of the bowling locations in Waterloo spark my interest more than this place. I would just find another bowling alley, this place just isn't worth your time and money.

An enormous bowling alley, 48 lanes! And the pro shop is top notch. Got both my bowling balls regripped, the thumb holes expanded, and detoxed and resurfaced for less than $100.

This place is trash, spend your money elsewhere. A group of friends and I went for their “unlimited bowling” offer on Wednesday nights, which is posted clearly on their website, yet the employees there seem to know nothing about it. When they cut off our last game in the middle of it, they claimed we paid for 2 hrs at the same price of unlimited bowling? Then they said we could pay an extra $30 for another game, so we left. We played 3 (and a half) games and did not have a server approach us at all during that time. We walked over to get drinks since we weren’t being served and found out this establishment does not offer water to their patrons…. at bowling alley and arcade….no water. Unless you want to pay for a $3 Dasani bottle. This is actually against the law in Minnesota so hopefully they get their act together. All in all, halfway decent lanes, terribly ran business, non existent service. Plenty of better bowling alleys in the Twin Cities.

Came here for a kids birthday party tonight and this place reminds me of when I was younger. Please never update it! lol, it's so nostalgic, so clean and the staff are so nice. Kids enjoyed it.
Raelynn S — Google review
This is a great old school bowling alley. It's not super over-the-top like a lot of other places are. I love how it's not pretentious...and...everyone feels welcome there. They have many leagues that play there throughout the week so...it's always best to call ahead to verify if non-league bowling is available when you want to go. They offer many discount days/times but...a regular game of bowling is $5.19 plus tax. Shoe rental was $5-something plus tax also. They have lots of lanes...and...it's not typically super busy especially in the daytime through late afternoon hours during the week. I've read that others have had issues with the scoring system. We've been there many times...never had any issues at all. Besides bowling...they have a little area with some arcade/skill games. There are also about four pool tables...and...dart boards. There is a snack bar with a decent amount of options...priced at about what you'd expect for a bowling alley. They do serve alcoholic beverages too. On one end...is a pro shop to get whatever bowling essentials you may require. The staff is always very nice...and...easy to locate when you need them. Each time we've gone...the place has been very clean/well-kept. This is a terrific location...and...we're thrilled that the Hyvee deal to buy out a large chunk of the strip mall where this bowling alley is [including the bowling alley]..fell through. the last thing this city needs is: another grocery store! :) This is a place we'll always return to...and...recommend.

College
Normandale Community College is home to the Normandale Japanese Garden, a tranquil 2-acre garden established in 1964 through a partnership with the Bloomington Affiliated Garden Clubs. The garden features a serene pond teeming with graceful koi and a picturesque lagoon adorned with meticulously crafted bridges and structures. It serves as a peaceful sanctuary for reflection and cultural appreciation.
In-depth, honest review of Normandale. I hated it at first. I took it all online once, and it was a fever dream. In person classes can be a bit more engaging. However, many professors have been there and have really solidified their skills to teach students valuable skills. I came into Normandale with a lower than average GPA from high school, and I left gaining more knowledge than I possibly ever could have from high school. You might hate Normandale if you only go for classes and do nothing else. I found a group of friends that I met at The Zone, and I have been with them ever since. Made the Normandale experience much better. Joined PTK, helped officers with their work, volunteered to help the program board with a talent show a tiny bit, and even did the spring fling. Graudation was at an orchestra hall, which was an incredible moment being at the very front of everyone, looking directly at the podium. Additionally, their student services are wonderful. Good staff security, they even moved my lost and found items to a safe spot so I could retrieve them. They have a cupboard that gives free food for students in need. Normandale is just the perfect CC that, honestly, rivals universities in quality. Professors: hit or miss (usually very good) Quality of Education: Good Activities and Events: Great Atmosphere: Perfect Student Assistance and Help: Perfect Advisors: Perfect Feels like a better version of High School: Pretty much. Wouldn't have been able to transfer to the UMN TC without Normandale. 5/5

If you need a question answered be sure to call or email ahead and check that they have full fledged staff members available. Oftentimes it is just students working, and while I respect that, it is very difficult to get any sort of help. The Student Services professional staff I have met will always try to get you an answer- even if they don't know it themselves- so save your own time and make sure to visit when they are working!

I was extremely happy about my experience at Normandale despite having to back out for family reasons. On the preparation side of college, you get so many resources and helpful staff if you show up in person. My academic advisor Njia Lawerence-Porter was great and my friend's relative Lori York are great people!

This is not a school that doesn't caters to students with disabilities!!!! I have dyslexia, and is deaf and hard of hearing. Becuase they refuse to pay the teacher 1 more hour of work I can't get the extra help I need to take classes to get things explained to me properly. Goodbye dreams of being in Healthcare or anything else becuase this school too cheap 😡😡

Would give less than 1 star if possible. Garbage school! Stay away! They do NOT care about students! The administration is rude, racist, demeaning. They behave as if they think they are Harvard! Never in my years in education or my families decades of attending University's have I ever come across such blantant idiocy. They do not care about anyone with mental health issues, disabilities, or any challenges at all. Professors do not even make videos for online learning. They submit work with deadlines with no actual instruction and repeat the exact information every semester!

SEA LIFE at Mall of America is a family-friendly aquarium featuring a variety of sea creatures and play areas. Located in Bloomington, Minnesota, it offers an incredible experience with over 4,500 animals in 1.3 million gallons of water. Visitors can find discounted admission coupons for SEA LIFE and other attractions at the mall information desk or kiosk. Additionally, they can explore hotel rates, getaway packages, and bundled attraction passes for a complete trip to the area.
Amazing experience! It's really great value and honestly one of the cleanest aquariums i have ever visited. The water is pristine, and all of the aquatic life is clearly visible. Really enjoyed the experience and would most assuredly come back again if I'm ever in Minnesota in the future.
Thommy H — Google review
We went there last weekend and it was pretty fun. The best part was walking through the tunnel and seeing all the water life above you around you. The kids loved it! I think the only downside was the ending where you could touch the things in the water.... all of the starfish were on one side so none of the kids could touch them. The worker gave everyone in option to touch a dried out starfish. Just not the same. So if it's ever possible can you add more things for the kids to touch? Otherwise it was fun 😀
Gina R — Google review
I absolutely love aquariums. Sea Life at Mall of America did not disappoint! Its not real big but thats ok. Its in a mall that has a billion other things to do so the size was just right. It was beautiful and well done. We were most fascinated by the tree frogs for some reason. The aquarium tunnel was so cool with sharks and other sea creatures swimming above you and around you. Another group of young adult visitors were ruining it for me because that part of the tour was peaceful and serene. That group was loud and intrusive. I wish the aquarium would have a no talking or low voices only in that section. Other aquariums do and they enforce it. Nevertheless, the overall experience was fantastic!!!

Always enjoy coming here, the adventure boom you can pick up at the beginning for a free gift at the end is fun and a great way to engage kids even more. The souvenir guide is actually very informative even for adults. Can't recommend enough

At The Mall of America we visited Sea Life. The $25.00 ticket is good all day. We went back for a second visit and saw animals that were not visible the first time. The staff are very knowledgeable and answer all questions. They go great work trying to save fish species and protecting the environment and give you a great understanding of how fragile life is for the various fish and animals they display
Roland S — Google review
First off, the first responder appreciation is an incredible idea and I thank you for that. I first interacted with a very pleasant lady who helped us get our tickets. She was delightful and pationate about Sea life, asking us to say "hi" to the sea horses for her, so we did 🤗. We had a very enjoyable venture through the aquarium and the kids had a blast. We got lots of pictures and have some great memories to look back on. Thank you all!
Viktra — Google review
Went here because I THOUGHT they would allow you to touch a stingray (touched them & fed them at the Denver CO Aquarium). FYI nope, not here! Do NOT pay to do the “behind the scenes” NOT worth it! Cute yet boring. You can see the sea life in their tunnel just as good as behind the scenes. The best thing there was the VR, worth that price! Also the photo NOT worth the $! As they want another $35 or so for a PICTURE!
Honest R — Google review
Loved seeing all the different types of sea creatures. Its just simply done and done nicely. Theres a little hole for the kids to crawl into and i love the underwater walkways. The little stamp book was an awesome touch for our 6 year old and her cousin, was a cute little token they received for filling out the book. We've gone twice, the first time was 2 years after covid and this last time was about 2 years ago and they had people out and about with little creatures we got to see in person so that was pretty awesome. The touch pool is cool too. Yes you can get through it all in like 20-30 minutes but we just went back and forth between the different areas and spent a good hour there. I'd recommend it more for the younger crowd but I was entertained as well.

Located inside the Mall of America, the Amazing Mirror Maze is a colorful and unique funhouse-style maze made up of glass corridors and mirrors. It's a popular attraction for families and adults alike, offering an entertaining experience as visitors navigate through confusing yet enjoyable mazes filled with surprises. The maze doesn't take long to complete, approximately 10 minutes, but the admission allows for unlimited re-entry. Visitors are provided with disposable gloves upon entry to prevent fingerprints on the mirrors.
Went with two of my boys. It was a fun experience. The gentleman who checked us in was personable, professional, and had a warm smile.

Okay for one person. Absolute waste of money for a group. It is only the same mirrors with no other obstacles or interesting things inside. The mirror maze at Union Station in St. Louis is cheaper and offers a lot more to do inside of it and is about the same size (little bigger).
Lucy M — Google review
Pretty neat activity with unlimited reentries while you're there. The mirrors are kept spotless and clean. Takes about 5 - 10 minutes for the full walk through. I myself knocked into a mirror or two while I was there. Great activity for kids and there's only one was in and out of the maze.

My 4-year-old and 11 year old ASD child both loved it eldest gave it a 9/10 since he got lost twice lol
Jenna A — Google review
This was a fun thing to do with visiting relatives and my kids. While it's relatively easy to figure out, it's still quite disorienting when you initially go into the maze. We had a Groupon that knocked the price down substantially. And my sister and I, being goofy kids at heart, had the most fun with the distortion mirrors at the end of the maze - other customers weren't as amused...
Margaret R — Google review
It was actually enjoyable. I imagine it would be a blast for little ones but we were 4 adults just out for fun. I will for sure do it again. I'll be bringing my friends kids so i can watch them get lost.
Emma N — Google review
We knew we were going to visit the Mall of America when in Minneapolis. I found a Groupon for this and figured it was worth trying for $4 a person. They make you wear gloves which is a little annoying, but they say it's to avoid fingerprints on the mirrors. It's pretty cool inside the maze with so many reflections everywhere. It might be a little challenging, but if you look at the floor you can easily see which way to go. It's a very very short maze. We got through it in maybe 5 minutes. I'm sure it's a better activity for kids. If you get the Groupon, it's a neat thing to check out. I probably wouldn't pay full price for it though.

Amusement park ride
FlyOver America is an indoor video simulation ride located on Level 1 of the Mall of America in Bloomington. It offers a fully immersive adventure with special effects like wind, mist, and scent to simulate a flight over famous landmarks and scenic landscapes across the country. The experience is similar to Soarin at Disney parks. Additionally, visitors can also explore Sea Life Minnesota Aquarium with its 300-foot-long ocean tunnel showcasing sharks, turtles, and stingrays.
This was such an incredible experience! My friend flew in from Arkansas to Minnesota, and we spent the day at the Mall of America. FlyOver America was the one activity I knew we absolutely had to do—and it exceeded all our expectations! We had CBD gummies beforehand (highly recommend 😂), which made it feel even more like we were truly flying! The wait time was surprisingly short, especially considering it was the holiday season, and the mall was packed. If you have visitors from out of town, this is a must-do! It was the highlight of our day at MOA. Through January 2, 2025, FlyOver America transforms into a magical winter wonderland for the holiday season. Guests get to help Santa search for his missing elves during an exhilarating flight across America and onto the North Pole. This festive experience takes your holiday traditions to new heights! Holiday visitors will sit in a suspended chair, feet dangling, in front of a massive, four-story spherical screen. Special effects like wind, mist, and scents, combined with the chair's motion, make it feel like you’re soaring alongside Santa. It was truly magical! If you’re visiting Minnesota, FlyOver America should definitely be on your must-do list. The attraction is easy to find, simple to navigate, and worth every penny. Our ride lasted 20 minutes and was worth every second. Highly recommend for fabulous entertainment! Great gift date night idea! Pair it with going to eat at Cedar and Stone for a delicious meal and cocktails!! They also rent it out for business events team building and employee appreciation days! 5 stars!

Reasonable price, Friendly staffs, Fun, motion with comfortable seats. Our little one loves it very much. Overall we enjoyed this adventure and highly recommended their dual package. Especially Hawaii was amazing. Gotta to be when they first open so there’s no line.
Ellen H — Google review
I honestly didnt know what to expect, but this was incredible! We did the 4 attraction pass and used this as one of our options and it felt so real like we were flying. You're in seats and they move in front of a screen and it was pure magic. I was smiling the whole ride, my kids were questioning the mist, and we all wanted to ride again. 100/100. I am trying to talk my kids into going again for our second tier a attraction.
Clarissa L — Google review
My son and I went to the dual Flyover Norway and Flyover America shows. It was an amazing experience with water mist timed to spray over you during scenes of clouds, waterfalls and ocean as surf. Our seats would lean left, right, forward and backward to match the scenes on-screen. We highly recommend going to this!!
Keith K — Google review
I didn't expect this to be as fun as it ended up being. Everyone should give this a try, very fun and it actually feels like you're flying, not just watching a movie. Seats were very comfortable and spacious. The only thing I didn't like was getting sprayed in the face like some vegetables at a supermarket. Who knows where that water has been. Just some air blowing would have been fine.
Andrew S — Google review
The wait was too long. The actual attraction was really nice. I just wish the ride had been longer. I highly recommend this attraction. If you want to ride again, you get half off ticket price.
Sandra C — Google review
First of all, this is a ride system just like Soarin' in the Disney parks, so it feels like a Disney-level ride experience (almost.) And I am surprised at how emotional I got on this ride! It's really just beautiful scenery, but with the music, I was almost tearing up by the end. Speaking of moisture - you get sprayed full in the face a few times - they're a little heavy-handed with the misters, so you may get wet! I did this as an add-on to Nickelodeon Universe, which made it only ~$8. Otherwise, it's around $20 just for this. I'm not saying it's worth it, but I'm glad I bundled it.
Sara W — Google review
Not a great flyover. There was no preshow to speak of and the picture from the projector seemed out of focus. The America film felt short and was okay. It features I think 24 short clips from across the US from mostly recognizable environments. The Hawaii film was a good length but but pretty boring. At least it had some fun smells in it.

This is a GREAT place to take the family for a fun day out or even a date night. I went twice in a 3 week span and it wasn’t any less entertaining the second time. The staff is great, they explain the exhibits and how to get the best pictures. There’s always someone walking around so if you have questions you can ask right away. We will definitely go again and again and again…. You get it. Go check it out!

This place was entertaining and somewhat educational. It's self-guided with lots of interactive exhibits & photo ops, so bring a few fun-loving friends or family members to snap pics, compare experiences, and help you pose. It takes about 45 minutes, start to finish. We had fun, and I'm glad we checked it out, but it's a bit overpriced.
Jeni M — Google review
I came here with my partner and it was a blast! Really cool illusions and the staff were super helpful with demonstrating the illusions, especially the window illusion and the food bowl. I love the vortex tunnel especially, really disorienting in a good way. I recommend coming here with at least one other person, as most of them work with another person 🥰
Charlie G — Google review
You have a couple of neat attractions here, but overall there aren't many that are very interesting. Even if the attractions were better there are not very many and you are done with the whole place long before you've gotten your money's worth. It's definitely not worth the price they charge.
Zach R — Google review
Fun place to explore and take photos. Staff are friendly and even offer to take pics for you. It took us a leisurely 45 mins. We didn’t do any “deep inquiries” just tried each one for a few mins and took pics. Regular price is $27 USD but you can find discounts/coupons usually. Lower star rating due to the value-$27pp is too much for what you get in my opinion. I admit I’m very cheap though-so if money is not a concern it was enjoyable with a young teen and adult.

This was like a big playground for my partner and I… we had the absolute best time. We spent about 40 minutes just messing around taking silly pictures. The illusions were worth it in my opinion.

I visited the Museum of Illusions at the Mall of America and had a pretty fun time! It's definitely one of those places where your camera is your best friend—there are tons of cool photo ops and optical illusions that will make you laugh and scratch your head. Some of the illusions are things you've probably seen online, so if you're someone who spends a lot of time on TikTok or Instagram, it might not feel super new. Still, seeing them in person is a different experience and definitely more engaging. It wasn’t too busy when I went, which was actually great because I had the chance to take my time, enjoy the exhibits, and not feel rushed. That said, I do wish there was a bit more to do. The space isn’t very big, and it took less than an hour to go through everything. For the price, I expected a few more interactive elements or unique illusions. Overall, I’d recommend it if you're already at the Mall of America and want to do something a little different—especially with friends or family. It’s a good spot to laugh, take creative pictures, and see some reality-bending visuals. Just go in knowing it’s a short experience and maybe plan something else afterward to make the most of your day!

We arrived before the starting time and were warmly welcomed inside. The staff was dressed in period attire and were very knowledgeable about the family. Good variety for various ages, though the city's a bit behind on upkeep, I'd say. The wood chips are well below the recommended hight on the equipment and one of the bouncy rides has been broken for a few weeks. Great sledding hill. As of February 2nd, very fast and icy, which the kids (ages 8, 7, and 4) love but as a mom, I worry about injuries.
Allison C — Google review

Good place to run you dog in the summer. If you have a jumper, they can escape at the centerline mark.

Can't wait for the skills park to be completed!!

Nice park. Set up for broomball in winters but during summer months they fench it off and use as a dog park
Jeremy J — Google review
It isn't a dog park so stop calling it that it not even fenced in what a waste of time and gas
Stuart C — Google review
Great place to walk my dog. He loved the variety of terrain.
Derek P — Google review

25Soens Playlot

City park
Nice 2.5 acre space with mowed grass where children can play. It's mostly bordered by back yards so it's set back from the road. This is the sort of place I used to seek out when I was 12 years old to play ball sports with my friends. It was so much more fun than the big formal parks where we couldn't make up our own rules
