Churches & Cathedrals
Misión San José del Cabo, a historic Catholic mission in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico, has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1730. Initially located along the San Jose River, it was later moved several times due to various challenges including an indigenous uprising and natural disasters. The mission played a significant role in the Battle of San Jose Del Cabo during the Mexican-American war in 1847.
During my visit to Cabo on Feb 2025, I wanted to visit San Jose Del Cabo for the day. Our hotel concierge suggested to call for an Uber to the Mision, the heart of this neighborhood. This was my second time to visit this church. This time we came and sat down for a prayer before seeing the rest of downtown. It's a quiet church, old with a lot of generations of history. It's beautiful and reminded me of me of the cathedrals from my childhood city in the only Spanish colony in Asia. For hundreds of years my childhood country was tied in for commercial trade between Cabo and the Philippines. So it's special.

If you like Mexico, you will like it here. A lot of art. Much less noisy than Cabo St Lucas. If you are looking for a spring break atmosphere, then go there. Else come here. Don't expect any bargains either place.

Went to 10 AM Sunday Mass. Full church. Spanish. Books in English.

It’s a church in the old town city center. Well kept, and photogenic. Maybe people inside sitting and taking it all in. Donation box at the entrance.
TheDSsucks — Google review
We visited this location as a result of the tour guide bringing us by this church location. Prior to going inside this specific church location, our tour guide gave us a mini history lesson on how the church was destroyed and rebuilt through the last hundred years of its existence. The tour guide also covered a few of the involved people related to the church history. The outside of the church appears to be renovated and painted. The inside of the church had members inside praying upon our entry, so the group was extremely quiet and respectful of the individuals sitting in the church praying as we walk through to take photographs and view the church. We did find that the church is still functional on several days during the week.

Gorgeous spiritual stop! Located in a perfect square with a divine breeze. The church is open during the day and great to visit for a little prayer. There are a few fans but no air conditioning but tht breeze is lovely -

We went the weekend of Día de Los Muertos. It was beautifully set up and decorated and there were many artisan ma and merchants there, many of whom had at least some themed items. It was nice, respectful, not commercial feeling. The only thing was I guess I didn't understand the public toilets. No TP and it wasn't clear if the man outside then was selling it, because I didn't see any and he didn't make eye contact or say anything.
Shahana G — Google review
A really nice cultural experience with something for everyone to see and enjoy. Amazing artists displaying their work on a Thursday night. Great restaurants for authentic and delicious food. A relaxing and enjoyable time!
Bradley K — Google review
Wonderful plaza to walk around in the afternoon or at night. There are street vendors and on Thursdays they put up an Art Walk that is really quite wonderful.

Art Walk San Jose Del Cabo is a highly anticipated event that takes place every Thursday evening from November to June. It has become a major tourist attraction, featuring art exhibits, local talents, and live music on the streets. The event is organized by the Gallery District Association and offers visitors the chance to explore the Art District's colorful backstreets, visit galleries, enjoy wine, and dine at nearby restaurants.
This was a great experience. San Jose de Cabo has many galleries with exquisite art and on this night (Thursday) they close the roads to cars so it is very nice to stroll and enjoy the art. A lot of local artists snd artisans also put their booths and sell their crafts. There are musicians, food stalls and the crowds make it a beautiful experience. We went in early May so it was not high season but the crowd was just right to make it exciting without being too crowded. Restaurants are also fantastic

We heard about this online and wanted to check it out. Lots of cute shops and streets to explore. Parking was a challenge, but we only had to walk about 2 blocks to get to the outer streets. Plenty of food and desert vendors. Could eat there easily. We did not, but were tempted.
Beth R — Google review
Wonderful works of art and an opportunity to see and experience local culture. Arrive 90 minutes before the art Walk opens and there is time to have dinner. Reservations recommended since it is busy. There are many paintings and also sculpture, handcrafts and some food. We picked up some wonderful coffee beans and some breakfast bread.

It is a must if you go to Cabo. There are tours that can take you there from Cabo but if you rent a car you have more freedom. It is very festive and many artists show their art that is very interesting. There are also nice galleries, stores and restaurants. We regretted we did not go earlier.

Beautiful event! Loved strolling the streets of el Centro, admiring all kinds of art (sooo many talented artists and artisans!), listening to live music everywhere, and people enjoying themselves. Loved it!
Rosalie S — Google review
It's a nice and chilled experience seeing works from local artists. It is entirely for tourists in my opinion, but still worth visiting.

Wonderful opportunity to see local artist and visit the main plaza in the evening. Highly recommend it - easy to get to and great way to spend an evening.

Lots of expensive art galleries with professionally made art. I saw pieces that ranged from 1300 USD for a print to large canvas paintings (10,000 USD).

Playa Acapulquito is a small, rocky cove known for its excellent surfing conditions. It's the perfect spot for both experienced surfers and beginners, with the option to rent boards or take lessons at Mike Doyles Surf School located right on the beach. While swimming may be challenging due to rocks, it's a great place to watch surfers in action.
Parking by the highway, there was construction when we went. Umbrellas are for the hotel guests only, but it's a nice beach. Swimming is tough with lots of rocks but it's perfect for surfing and watching surfers.

Great beach for my son to take a surfing lesson. The hotel restaurant was great in letting us get drinks and snacks to go to eat at the beach while we watched the surfers. Tough parking though. Not a lot of public spaces and when they are gone you could wait a long time before something opens up.

Great beach for surfing and snorkeling. parking near the highway and walk down the stair and thru a tunnel that takes you all the way to the beach. theres a hotel that has umbrellas for rent. also surf instructors or surf rental available. great for beginners

Bar
Acre Restaurant & Cocktail Bar offers a unique dining experience with its creative farm-to-table cuisine and innovative cocktails, all set in a stylish garden environment. The restaurant is part of the picturesque Acre Baja property, known for its boutique treehouse accommodations, making it a must-visit destination in Los Cabos. Founded by Stuart McPherson and Cam Watt, Acre has become a leader in San Jose's locavore movement since its establishment in 2016.
We had a wonderful experience at this scenic and beautiful restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed yet vibrant, with a stunning ambiance that made the meal even more enjoyable. Our waiter, José, provided exceptional service, he was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The fish tacos were absolutely delicious! fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience, and we can’t wait to come back!
Hiep N — Google review
Getting there is messy but man is it worth the bumpy ride up the hill! We had dinner with friends at this beautiful restaurant and had an amazing experience. As you stroll past treehouses along the beautifully lit sidewalk, there was subtle incense lining the pathway to prepare your senses for the great food. We started with the Cheddar Biscuits and Crispy Rice Bites and I highly recommend both. Then we did the NY Prime and Short Ribs for dinner and were not disappointed. The vibe is very jungle meets luxury but do know there is no seating in AC, so if visiting during a warm month, it was quite hot. The fans did help but we would have stayed and had more cocktails if it had been cooler. Our servers, Andre and Valentin never let our drinks go dry and were extremely attentive. My only recommendation would be the music. The vibe would feel more upscale without the disco music. Maybe more of a soothing spa mix? But overall, highly recommend this lovely establishment.
Judy W — Google review
We had high hopes for Acre based on reviews and a family recommendation, and the setting truly lived up to the hype. The walk to the restaurant and the space itself were stunning. Our team of waiters introduced themselves warmly, and we genuinely thought we were in for a fantastic night. Unfortunately, the service quickly fell apart. Despite having plenty of staff, our waiters disappeared after taking our order. We never received the second round of cocktails we ordered and only saw our servers again when it was time to ask for the check. They did remove the missing drinks from the tab after requesting, and a last-minute anniversary gesture was thoughtful, but by then the experience was already soured. The food was good, the cocktails were just okay, but the service was the worst we experienced on our entire trip. Considering the price point and the nearby competition like Flora Farms, I’m not sure we’d return.
Matthew L — Google review
Acre is truly one of the most special places in Cabo. The moment you walk onto the property, you feel like you’ve entered a hidden jungle oasis, lush, gorgeous, and thoughtfully designed. The service is always exceptional, the staff is warm and attentive, and the food is on another level. Every dish is crafted with such creativity and freshness. Whether you’re here for dinner, staying at the treehouses, or attending an event, the entire experience is unforgettable. Acre captures the magic of Baja in the most elevated and beautiful way. One of my absolute favorite places in all of Cabo. Highly, highly recommend.
ScraggssFit — Google review
We just stay there with family for 5 days. Service was excellent, and we enjoyed the animals on property, especially the kitties. The family pool was empty, which was great. Also the gym was quite adequate. I would prefer to be on the ocean next time as being in the jungle was tough, as I got eaten alive by mosquitoes. We stayed in a villa which was nice, although our rooms upstairs and bathrooms stayed pretty hot, not sure the AC was adequate enough, My only bad experience was going to the main restaurant and asking if they had nachos, and she looked at me like I was crazy.. I was looking forward to a great Mexican meal. So I made some nachos in my villa.
Marlo R — Google review
We went to this restaurant for my friends birthday dinner and it was amazing the food, drinks the atmosphere is out of this world. The green is good drink was so delicious I ordered 3 of them during the dinner so good and we had the short rib and salmon dinner 😋🥰❤️we walked around the property after dinner and found a little zoo so cute ☺️ the whole walk around the place was amazing it’s like you are in the middle of a tropical rainforest so beautiful. If you are in Cabo you have to go experience this place for a meal or just to enjoy the place definitely worth it. Thank you so much I will be back ❤️ ps we did not stay at the property just booked a dinner
MUSONDA R — Google review
Went for lunch. Cocktails were good, but my girlfriend ordered a seasonal drink for $25 USD and the glass was filled with a giant stick of butter-like ice cube so it was gone in about three sips (see photo of half melted ice cube). We ordered three entrees and three starters. The bartender forgot two of our three entrees, and when we reminded her, she brought steak tacos instead of shrimp tacos. Also, there were flies everywhere. They gave the only other table that was there a couple of the fly-repellent fans, but we were not offered any and got attacked throughout our meal. Not my favorite experience with so many wonderful places to go in San Jose del Cabo. We are neighbors to Acre but not sure if we’ll be back.
Kristin T — Google review
My wife and I go to Cabo often but we had never heard of Acre. We live in San Miguel de Allende, and a friend of ours from home recommended it. It is a beautiful restaurant located in lush, tropical like gardens. It really was quite stunning walking up the path to this beautiful jungle oasis. The service was phenomenal from the moment we arrived. Our server provided several suggestions, checked on us frequently throughout the meal, and had a kind and friendly attitude. The menu was a little overwhelming. There were just too many amazing choices. We ordered the cheese biscuits (to die for) and the crispy rice bites (served with sashimi grade tuna and cavier) as appetizers. They were both incredible. We decided to share the grilled Caesar salad after we saw people eating it at a nearby table. It was huge and more than enough for two to share. The dressing was superb. For our main course we shared the branzino fish filet, which was accompanied by a potato puree, a small side salad, and served with a cold chili flake seasoning. It was a delicious dish and was also accompanied by fresh, homemade tortillas so we could enjoy our dinner as fish tacos. For dessert we were at at impasse. Even though we were already full, we each wanted a different dessert, so we had to suffer and order two desserts. I had the chocolate tres leches (fantastic) and my wife enjoyed the strawberries and cream. We probably should have shared one dessert, but we forced ourselves to eat the whole thing. This was an excellent dining experience. There were two things that prevented it from being perfect. They were both beyond the control of management and staff. The first was that when our fish arrived, we were literally overwhelmed with flies. The staff had put out a mini hibachi with rosemary and lemon which is supposed to keep critters away, but these flies merely laughed as they descended on our meal. The staff then brought out one of those small fans, but unfortunately I think the flies liked being cooled off. This was not the restaurant's fault, but it did take away from the enjoyment of an otherwise magnificent meal. The other issue was that it was quite warm. The restaurant had misting fans, but Cabo in September can be brutal. We will definitely be back to Acre (we will be back in November), but we will not come back to Cabo again in September.

Tamarindos is a charming eatery located on a former sugar cane farm, offering organic, garden-to-table cuisine. The restaurant is part of the Huerta Los Tamarindos organic farm, which also provides rustic boutique accommodations in farm-side bungalows and immersive cooking classes.
Not just a restaurant, an experience! My husband and I had an unforgettable visit to Tamarindos. Starting with an adventurous drive down a narrow dirt road and ending with us meandering around the farm after lunch, our entire visit was an absolute pleasure. The atmosphere and energy throughout the farm property is peaceful and welcoming. We experienced excellent food and bev fresh from the farm, impeccable service, and freshly roasted coffee. We bought coffee beans to take home for ourselves and as gifts. We will fondly remember our visit here long after we return home.
Erica N — Google review
I had the pleasure of dining at Tamarindos several times during my recent trip to Cabo, and I can wholeheartedly say it's a truly one-of-a-kind experience. More than just a restaurant, Tamarindos is a destination. Located about five minutes from downtown San José del Cabo and nestled on 13 acres of lush farmland, Tamarindos offers an organic farm-to-table restaurant, an on-site café brewing its own signature coffee (I highly recommend picking up a bag in the gift shop), an event space, and a soon-to-open resort. Beyond dining, guests can book farm tours, cooking classes, and outdoor events—perfect for weddings, gatherings, and special celebrations. Chef Enrique Silva has beautifully brought his vision to life, combining his passion for Mexican cuisine and agricultural innovation in a way that feels both refined and deeply rooted in the land. This place truly has it all, and it’s an absolute must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable and off the beaten path (literally) experience in Cabo.

Tamarindos is truly a hidden gem. From the moment you arrive, the setting feels magical! Nestled in a lush farm with mountain and ocean views, the atmosphere is peaceful, open-air, and full of charm. The farm-to-table concept is executed perfectly. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. What really stood out was meeting the owner, Enrique. His vision for what this place is becoming is absolutely beautiful… you can feel the passion in every corner of the property. I brought my mom here, who’s a chef, a total health nut, and deeply into natural medicine AND she was genuinely impressed (which is not easy to do). Watching her light up during the experience made it even more special. The cocktails were creative and well-balanced, and the service was top-notch… warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. We also loved walking around the garden before our meal … such a unique and grounding experience. We didn’t get to come during sunset, but I have heard that it’s unforgettable. Whether you're celebrating something special or just want an incredible meal in Cabo, Tamarindos is a must.

A few years ago I had a great dinner here as part of a large wedding party. The food and service was excellent. Totally farm to table and fresh!!! Today a friend and myslef did a cooking class with chef Erwin and omg it was amazing!!!! Erwin is a master chef and we prepared a meal together of sea bass, shrimp, fresh tortillas and mango mousse that was one of the best meals I ever had. The whole experience was 4 really interesting hours that included making fresh sauces, fresh green salsa, fresh tortillas and some kind of shrimp appetizer that was out of this world!! On top of this we enjoyed fresh drinks with farm ingredients and fresh coffee roasted right there. The setting was beautiful in a stone brick farmhouse overlooking the property/ farm that was set high up with a great beeezs so not too hot. All in All an amazing experience and I recommend to all for solos, groups, couples etc… With Chef Erwin’s charm, skill and delicious food you will learn a lot and have an experience and meal of your life!!! His team that helps too we’re all so ni w and attentive too….Chef Erwin, his team, the kitchens, the propert and of course the food will all make for an incredible Cabo / Life experience that will exceed any expectations you have. Go and enjoy ASAP!!!!

My wife and I did a cooking class with Erwin, and luckily we ended up being the only booking at that time so it was a private class. We learned how to make tamales, salsa macha, shrimp flambé and churros. It was an amazing experience and Erwin was an amazing host and teacher. The experience was authentic, personal, and most of all enjoyable. Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a more authentic Mexican experience!

Don’t let the drive here scare you! Yea the roads is gravel and feels like you are driving to no where, But trust me it’s worth it. Once you get to the restaurant you will be amazed at how beautiful this place is. The layout and ambiance is breath taking. It’s farm to table concept and the restaurant is on a farm. You can walk around and check the gorgeous venue. Bar is set outside and you can sit here and enjoy a variety of cocktails. Staff are amazing and super helpful from the minute you walk in. Every single person has a smile and eagerness to assist. They cater for nut allergies which is always a win for us. Inside the restaurant is gorgeous the layout and decor gives you a magical vibe. Omg now let’s talk food! Lamb came with blue tortillas which was juicy and flavorful, catch of the day, fish was on a bed of hummus, never had this combo before and it did not disappoint. Appetizer we had blue fin sashimi with spicy tortilla this was bomb!!! It was on a bed of salad with ponzu sauce 🤤 nothing here disappointed. We were too full for dessert but the options a sounded delicious. We will be back for sure for great service and yummy food.

The protected area offers hiking trails for wildlife observation, as well as opportunities for horseback riding and kayaking to get a different perspective of the herons, egrets, pelicans, and cormorants that call the tranquil sanctuary home.
Wonderful viewing points. We saw a lot of unique varieties of birds and even came upon some horses.

It was very pretty, lots of super tall palm trees on the path to take pics under, but also lots of dead brush we had to walk over. It wasn't good for flip flops, people were cleaning it up but it was a big project, I don't know how long it'll take. Otherwise it was a lovely day and we saw a few different types of birds even though they were a little far away. Fun adventure

This is a nature reserve / wetlands situated on the Southern tip of Baja California. The estuary has fresh water, which mixes with the Sea of Cortez. It's one of the main birding sites in the region. The distance from Cabo San Lucas center to the estuary is 30-35 km (35-40 minutes car ride). In 3.5 hours that I spent there in the morning, I found 46 different species of birds, including a few endemic birds and Crested Caracara. The entrance to the estuary is free. Visitors need hiking boots, a lot of sunblock, and plenty of drinking water. There were no working restrooms available. Despite numerous signs about their rules and regulations, there is a lot of garbage all over the place, including empty plastic bottles, beer cans, etc.

Wonderful area to view shore birds. Pack in pack out. No restrooms. Worth the walk into and around the estuary.

Enjoy watching the wildlife here. Lots of birds in their.natural habitat. There is a path that leads to the beach. Horseback riding right next door. Watch your step!

Well trained horses and beautiful beach but the sign says $65 per ride and when I see my credit card statement it was more than $80 per ride.

Costa Azul Beach is a low-key sandy beach with rocky outcrops, popular among surfers and surfing spectators. It's easily accessible from the main road with ample parking space and a few nearby restaurants. The sand is fine and less grainy than at other beaches in the area. While it's not ideal for swimming due to steep slant and crashing waves, it offers a lovely spot to relax and watch the bay.
I had a great walk on the beach. The sun was shining, and the water was clear but a little ruff. The people were friendly. For me, the beach is my most favorite place.

So fun to watch all the surfers and even saw sting rays jumping out of the water. I walked from the centro here(enjoyable) and then walked all the way to palmillas along the beach(will have to walk through water at some points!

I would recommend this beach for experienced swimmers. I had to time the surf to get out beyond it and for returning to shore.

This is a lovely beach stretching for miles. Sand is course and it’s dangerous for swimming with a steep slant and crashing waves. Lovely to sit and watch the bay. A nice walk to town can be had.

Gotta come here, by plane, by caravan, or by trike. It's gorgeous in Cabo! The beaches are pristine. The water sparkles like diamonds. And the people are so kind, so fun. And the food! Oh, the food...the best ever.
Kathleen B — Google review
The beach is easy to access from the main road. A lot of parking space. The toilet is just a plastic cubical style. There are a few restaurants along the beach. When we were here, there were less people. We were actually at another beach closer to Cabo San Lucas earlier that day but it got busier and louder so we decided to move and at last found peace here for the rest of the afternoon. The sand is fine and less grainy than at playa Santa Maria. There are some areas of the sea near the beach that are rocky.

Just wow! We couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate my birthday. First of all, I’d never experienced such level of personalized attention and genuine great service. Everyone in the staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect. Creative cocktails, exquisite food and the highest level of service. The atmosphere is unparalleled with the open patio and live music, that sang me happy birthday, truly spectacular. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to which made this birthday celebration an unforgettable one. Can’t wait to return, thank you Don Sanchez staff!
Lina B — Google review
My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Don Sanchez, and overall, it was a memorable evening. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their friendliness and attentive service, ensuring that we were well taken care of throughout the night. The ambiance was enhanced by live music, which added a lively and enjoyable touch to our dining experience. We also appreciated the great selection of drinks, which complemented our meal nicely. As for the food, each dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, reflecting the chef’s attention to detail. The portion sizes were generous, and we ended up ordering more than we could finish—something we would have appreciated a gentle heads-up about from our server to help us avoid overordering. While we enjoyed our meal overall, some of the flavor combinations and the pronounced use of smoke in a few of the dishes didn’t quite match our personal taste preferences. This is likely a matter of individual palate, and others may find these flavors appealing. It’s worth noting that Don Sanchez is on the pricier side, especially compared to other restaurants in Mexico. For us, the overall value was just average, given the cost and our taste experience. However, if you enjoy creative cuisine, attentive service, and a lively atmosphere, it’s definitely worth considering for a special occasion.

Don Sanchez delivers a memorable dining experience in San Jose del Cabo. The service is warm and attentive, with a team clearly trained to care for every detail, and the chef sends out thoughtful compliments from the kitchen that add a personal touch. The presentation of each dish is beautiful, with colorful, well-composed plates that show respect for the ingredients. The oysters and fish tartare were fresh and bright, and the seafood mains arrived artfully plated, balancing local flavors with refined techniques. The dessert was a highlight, both visually and in taste, finishing the evening on a light, elegant note.

One of the mandatory, go to, required restaurants when visiting Cabo! Tableside caesar salad is one of the best ever. All of the entrees are excellent! The service is exceptional. This facility is deserving of their 5 star status! Arturo and Rene run a wonderful show!
Wild C — Google review
a rich and memorable contemporary mexican culinary experience. the food was packed with flavors and the presentation was like artworks. the surf and turf taco was very flavored. the mushroom taco - personally i did not like the texture and the accompanying alcohol (tasted like chinese medicine). the entrees were both good! the black shrimp was perfectly smoky and the rice was just one of the best rices i’ve had! the fish was flavorless and dry but the avocado risotto was very good although a bit too salted. the churro was very heavy with the caramel and chocolate sauces in a good way. lastly, the waiters boxed us into a 18% or 20% tip when they could have asked “how much would you like to tip”. it felt like a dishonest practice and gave us a moment of yuck. also the music choice by the live performer / restaurant was pretty bad. the experience could have been better with mexican songs instead of trashy / generic american pop.

An Unforgettable Dining Experience at Don Sanchez Last night, my wife, niece, and I enjoyed an extraordinary dinner at Don Sanchez in San José del Cabo. From the moment we arrived, everything about the evening was exceptional. We ordered the Sterling Silver beef brisket, wood-oven roasted chicken, and wood-oven roasted pork — each dish rich in flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. The appetizers were equally outstanding, and the cocktails were not only delicious but served in some of the most stunning glassware we’ve ever seen. The ambiance is absolutely captivating — you enter through what feels like a row of charming storefronts and step into a large, elegant courtyard with comfortable seating and a perfect blend of open-air and covered spaces. The music was another highlight; I found myself using Shazam several times just to capture the amazing playlist. But what truly made the evening memorable was the service. Our servers, Santiago and Joao, went above and beyond — professional, attentive, and genuinely warm. My wife and niece both commented that they made us feel like we were celebrating a special occasion, even though it was just an ordinary night out. Don Sanchez delivered not just a meal, but a full sensory experience — outstanding food, impeccable service, and a setting that feels magical. Highly recommended for anyone visiting San José del Cabo.

Nestled in the heart of San Jose del Cabo's historic Distrito del Arte, La Lupita Taco & Mezcal stands out as a must-visit for taco enthusiasts. While most taco spots offer a wide price range with little variation in quality, La Lupita is an exception. The restaurant draws crowds eager to savor gourmet delicacies like the Taste of Lupita and unique tacos featuring duck, cured beef, suckling pig, or lamb cooked in maguey leaves.
What a unique and fun experience. No frills authentic tacos. Ox tail, tuna, tofu, and more are on this vast menu. It’s not your typical menu you’d see in America so know your family and the menu before going. The service was impeccable with a server literally watching close by to make sure we didn’t need a thing. Excellent with gluten free and understood how to navigate the menu with lots of choices. Get a reservation for 4/5 on a Thursday then go the art walk after just steps away. Great prices as well. It’s hot inside and out in the summer so just know that it’s not an air conditioned place but you get your food so quickly it’s not a problem.

During our recent trip to San Jose del Cabo, we had the pleasure of discovering some of the best tacos we've ever tasted. The restaurant truly stands out for its friendly and attentive staff, who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The menu features an impressive variety of tacos, with unique flavor combinations that are hard to find elsewhere. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and packed with fresh, vibrant ingredients. While the prices are a bit higher compared to typical taco spots in Mexico, the quality and experience made it absolutely worthwhile. In fact, we enjoyed our meal so much that we decided to return for another visit on our way to the airport before departing. Our visit coincided with the Day of the Dead celebration, adding a special touch to the atmosphere. The staff was dressed in festive costumes and the exterior of the restaurant was beautifully decorated for the occasion, making our dining experience even more memorable. Overall, this place is a must-visit for anyone looking for exceptional tacos and a welcoming environment in San Jose del Cabo.

“Fancy” tacos were how it was described by many others who told me about this place, and I agree. If craft tacos were a thing, this place would be the place that sells it. The service was on point and the live music gave it a perfect ambience. Make sure to make reservations if you don’t come early.

Great service and many of the tacos are on point. Unfortunately there are a few duds for us and it's rather expensive per tacos. I recommend miso fish taco and milanesa. Don't get fideo & castacan and mushroom chicarron. Hibiscus margarita is good.
Byte C — Google review
Don't get me wrong, the food is good, creative, and tasty. The drinks are inventive (but over priced for a tourist budget). Combined with being often too full requiring a reservation, uncomfortable seats at the bar, being too busy, and loud... We are glad we gave it a try but it was just not our spot. There are other taco spots if what you're after is to try the local taco flair.

I was so glad that I decided to take the time and visit this gorgeous natural estuary. Not only was the scenery amazing, but the number and diversity of birds was great. The walk from centro out to the estuary was about 30 minutes along a main road. You could also take an uber. Once you get there, you will need to walk for a bit along the beach to get to the main part of the estuary. This isn’t an “activity” where you buy tickets etc, it’s just a part of the natural beach landscape that you can walk to anytime for free. I would recommend bringing binoculars to see the birds up close!

Very clean. I parked at the end of the street near the bike trail. Some of the left side was flooded with too much water but the right trail was fine. Walk straight ahead after you park and you will see the trail and a boardwalk. A friendly man from the horse rides showed me were to start. Lots of beautiful waterfowl and Seahawks. I saw a road runner, two turkey vultures as well a few tiny lizards. Very quiet except for with ducks. I wished I had a bird identification book with me.

Big Beach. Not much to do tho... Not swimmable, open sea. There's a place called "11-11" right at the entrance. Used to be the Holiday inn Hotel now abandoned and reconditioned as a skate park. Other than that there's only sand and the ocean. There's a Turtle Camp for sea turtles conservation, they catalog them, count them and every now and then they let people join the release of them to the sea.

Playa Hotelera, also known as Tequila Cove or Playa Bledito, is a popular beach for tourists and spring breakers. It is conveniently located near large tourist resorts like Hilton Los Cabos and Marquis Los Cabos. Unlike most beaches, it's generally safe for swimming and offers water activity rentals such as jet skiing and boating. The area also has plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars nearby.
One of the best beaches in Los Cabos. A walk from end to end is perfect to get your exercise in while looking at the amazing views.

The Playa Hotelera is a very clean and wide beach with fine white sands, great place to walk and enjoy the views.

(Translated by Google) The beach is really quiet. As Colombians, we're very used to going to beaches and seeing a lot of beach vendors, which isn't the case here. Some vendors pass by, but it's not as uncomfortable as in Colombia, where they practically suffocate you offering their products or services. A beautiful beach, and above all, well-maintained. I would return. In the serene town of San Jose del Cabo, just a short drive from the bustling Cabo San Lucas, lies the Organic Market San Jose Del Cabo. This market offers a vibrant mix of global cuisine, artistry, and a colorful town center. While the nearby beaches are less crowded than those in Cabo San Lucas, they offer an equally stunning backdrop for relaxation.
Super yummy local food, and some gringo stuff too. All tasty! There are intro to carpentry classes, and lots of crafts, art, jams, honey, soaps, massage, and live music. Within an open air sports complex with gym, pool, tennis, pickleball, and classes. Worth the visit.

We love visiting this Saturday Market while in San Jose. Great food booths. Incredible beverage choices (juices, kambucha, sodas). Organic produce. Fantastic artisans. Spend the day because you can relax in the shade of a tent and listen to great music while you eat delicious food and sip tasty beverages!

The produce is exceptional. There are handmade goods by local artists and crafters, such as jewelry, baskets, soaps, rugs, artwork, and delicious food.

Friendly atmosphere; nice space on the lawns of La Huerta Sports Club. Many handicrafts and delightful choices of foods with space to dine. Live audience music on a hippie type stage brings in many listeners…

How does one apply to join this market? I live in San Jose and would love to support by sharing my services.
Brittany P — Google review
The market happens every Saturday from 9 AM in an open field about 1/2 km from the Catholic Church at the main plaza. People set up stalls to sell things they make or produces. You can find hand made jewelry, clothes, garden vegetables, art work and food. In the middle there was a childrens play area and the music tent Whole place was set up to spend time leisurely. Very enjoyable.

Adorable farmers market. 50/50 English speakers, expats, and local connections. Live music lineup, tons of good, local and traditional food choices. Arts and crafts to be had, massages, places to sit, areas with shade, meet local expats here! Now, where is the bathroom....

Plaza Artesanos, located in downtown San Jose del Cabo, is a vibrant marketplace offering a wide array of authentic Mexican crafts and souvenirs. Visitors can explore numerous vendors selling everything from jewelry and clothing to tote bags, rugs, and ceramics. The atmosphere is relaxed, with no pressure to buy, making it an ideal destination for tourists seeking high-quality keepsakes at reasonable prices.
Great place for traditional Mexican crafts, souvenirs, t-shirts, rash guards, almost everything. Cheaper than in the town of San Jose del Cabo Sales people are friendly. Great find!

Very awesome place to purchase souvenirs and keepsakes. We didn't stop by this place until our last day in and we wish we'd come in earlier. There were so many shops to visit and plenty of room to haggle and to find the best prices. They also had an outdoor seating area, a spa, and other smaller shops.
Steve M — Google review
This location offers a convenient spot for a brief visit with various retail establishments. You may find it offers a less aggressive sales approach compared to other similar venues. The merchandise available is generally what one might expect for this type of setting. It serves its purpose well as a place for a quick stop and some shopping. Overall, it provides standard goods in a straightforward environment.
John C — Google review
We stopped by this specific shopping area as a result of arriving here with our small tour group. this area had quite a few of shops that were open and very few customers that were moving throughout the area. It felt like we were prime shoppers and had the whole mall of stores for shopping to ourselves as we moved through each doorway...systematically buying souvenir trinkets for our family members back home. The shop owners were very friendly and most of them were able to speak English since most in the group had limited Spanish capability. most of the shop owners on this date, didn't bother to jack up the prices they gave a very fair price upon entry into the store.

we had Lis and Amsi and they were both very good. i liked them so much we went back two days in a row. i greatly appreciated their ability to give me a customized massage, and not use the same standard scripted massages that i often receive at most spas, but rather listen to my needs and really deliver the pressure and where i needed it. a great experience, i would return again and recommend to anyone in downtown San Jose Del Cabo walking by to get a massage. the rooms are only separated by curtains, but it’s air conditioned, clean and the girls were very good! 👍

This was our favorite place in all of Cabo! Cheapest place to buy souvenirs, by far! In the very back, there's also a great place for healthy smoothies - the owner was very friendly and spoke excellent English. Also a great place to get a massage, with several places offering $40 for one hour (we did $25 for 30 minutes).

We went shopping one day to the Marino Mercado flea market in Cabo San Lucas and another day here. I preferred shopping here. Lots of little stalls, people here were nice and not pushy. Cute souvenirs, including shirts, Mexican clothing, and trinkets. One stall had beautiful embroidered hats, we ended up purchasing two. We visited around 10am on a Friday, there were only a few other tourists here. Worth a visit for souvenirs.

Nestled in the vibrant Art District of San Jose del Cabo, the Patricia Mendoza Art Gallery is a must-visit for anyone passionate about contemporary Mexican art. This gallery showcases an impressive array of works from both emerging and established artists, including renowned figures like Eduardo Mejorada and Jorge Marin. The collection spans various mediums, from striking paintings to innovative mixed media installations, all reflecting Mexico's rich cultural tapestry while embracing modern artistic expressions.
I really enjoyed visiting the Patricia Mendoza Art Gallery! It's pretty small (3 small adjacent rooms) but full of good artwork. I visited twice during my brief trip and found things the second time that I didn't notice on the first. They even have wine and tapas at night! I will make sure to come here again next time I visit Los Cabos!

We were the Saturday after Thanksgiving right before they were about to close. What an amazing surprise. Patricia was there and we sat and chatted for a few hours and drank wine. Her art is excellent but she is an even better person. We met her daughter and several other people. She made us feel like we were family. Patricia if you read this - Thank you <3 We hope to see you on our next trip back to Cabo.

Viceroy Los Cabos is a modern beachfront resort with 5 pools, fine dining options, and a spa. It offers various accommodation levels including standard guest rooms, suites, and four or five-bedroom villas. The resort is recommended for bachelorette groups due to its reasonable price point and young vibe.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! The entire ambiance is very modern and peaceful. Everything from check-in to check-out was super smooth. Extremely friendly staff! The room was incredible, king size bed with a double shower, and a balcony with a full bed and outdoor tub. The entirety of the hotel grounds were super clean and well-kept. The pool setup was great! We never had an issue getting a chair in the morning which is a must on vacation. The service at the pool was always excellent. The breakfast was great to have included everyday in our package - extremely fresh food and good variety. Our personal hosts Israel and Alexis were the nicest and most helpful people! So easy to communicate with them through WhatsApp for anything you could possibly need. Gave us great restaurant recommendations and helped us set up spa treatments. Even had surprise bottles of champagne set up in the room after returning from dinner. All the small touches really make the whole stay feel luxurious. Loved every minute of our trip and would definitely go back to the Viceroy Los Cabos!

I had such a wonderful experience at the ceilomar restaurant at viceroy Los Cabo. Juan and Fernando were my servers, and they both did an outstanding job. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed while also giving me a great view to enjoy during my meal. Their excellent service really made my dining experience special. I truly appreciate their professionalism and hospitality. Now a review on the Viceroy resort itself outside of the cellar. It is a beautiful resort with stunning architecture and scenery, making it a visually breathtaking place to stay. However, there are several downsides that stood out during my visit. Communication among the staff can be inconsistent, as one person may tell you one thing while another says something completely different. The rooms, while stylish, are not very soundproof, and you can hear even the smallest noises, including housekeeping constantly coming in, disturbing you, or making noise in nearby rooms. Dining options are also limited, with only about four restaurants on the property. On top of that, the resort feels overpriced—simple items like a bag of M&M’s cost nearly $9, which makes you question the overall value.
Anisha E — Google review
We stayed at Viceroy Los Cabos for a full week for our wedding, and while I’ll be honest—communication leading up to our stay was a bit rocky and left me hesitant—all of those concerns disappeared the moment we arrived. Every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making our wedding week special. Our guests felt the same; the entire group was made to feel completely at home. We were also given a beautiful upgrade, which set the stage for an incredible stay. Our butlers, Jennifer and Roberto, were extraordinary. They handled everything—from securing pool cabanas for our group pool party, to beautifully decorating our room multiple nights, sending champagne, and anticipating every need before we even voiced it. Their care and attention made the entire week feel effortless. We also spent time in the spa and booked a 90-minute couples massage, which was truly magical—one of the best we’ve ever experienced. Afterward, Alberto guided us through the hydrotherapy circuit, and it was hands-down the most thorough, relaxing, and well-led hydrotherapy experience we’ve ever had (and we are spa people!). His knowledge, presence, and the intentional flow of the circuit elevated our morning into something unforgettable. Inez at breakfast was phenomenal as well. She took care of us every single morning and went above and beyond to help my elderly father—who can be difficult to communicate with due to hearing aids—feel comfortable and included. Her patience and kindness meant so much to our family. We visit Cabo yearly and even have a timeshare, but after this experience, we will absolutely be returning to Viceroy. The service was exceptional, the staff left a lasting impression, and our wedding week was genuinely magical because of them. Highly, highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Viceroy. The views were unmatched and the property is beautiful. Victor and Jacob were our butlers and they took great care of us. They were very friendly, attentive, and typically had anything we needed before we even asked. They were wonderful! We also had communication prior to our stay with Jessica in Reservations and Jennyfer in the spa and they answered any and all questions we had and responded very quickly. I was extremely impressed with the level of customer service. The team at Viceroy made our first stay with them memorable and enjoyable and we hope to be back soon.

My stay at Viceroy Los Cabos was absolutely exceptional! From the moment I arrived, the level of service and hospitality exceeded my expectations. Our concierge, Mario, was outstanding, very accommodating, professional, and truly passionate about his work. His positive attitude and infectious personality made every interaction a pleasure. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. I also want to give special recognition to Guadalupe, our housekeeper. She was incredibly thorough and attentive, making our room feel fresh, comfortable, and organized every single day. As a mom traveling with my 11-month-old, her help meant the world to me, she was kind, patient, and thoughtful in every detail. Lastly, Brenda, who helped with babysitting, was amazing with my little girl. She’s trustworthy, gentle, and you can tell she truly enjoys caring for children. I felt completely at ease leaving my baby in her care. Overall, the team here made my experience unforgettable. I highly recommend Viceroy Los Cabos, the service, staff, and atmosphere are all five-star in every sense!

Overall our experience was amazing. Alissa at check in was very informative and helpful. Laura was great to have as our support staff. She is amazingly friendly and sweet. We will request her anytime we go. Be aware of the restaurant times and when they’re closed or open because they all have different schedules. Breakfast is a bit overpriced for the basic things (I.e. oatmeal or eggs). But Awacate is something you don’t want to miss, the server José was perfect.
Christian S — Google review
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful property for 6 days and 5 nights. The attention to detail was outstanding. The culinary experience was incredible, and the service—from the front desk to the servers, housekeepers, and especially our amazing butlers Israel C. and Alexis S.—was exceptional. I had been wanting to visit this property for some time, and it did not disappoint. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was gorgeous, and we were delighted to receive an upgrade at check-in. We will certainly return for another vacation.

Hotel Casa Natalia is a stylish boutique hotel with just 18 rooms, offering a Mexican hacienda-style ambiance. The European-owned property features grey-and-white tiled floors, whitewashed walls adorned with local art, and vibrant splashes of color throughout. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool and terrace seating at the on-site restaurant/bar, Mi Cocina. The hotel's location in San Jose del Cabo provides easy access to the beach and local galleries for the weekly Art Walk.
Such a lovely boutique hotel on the main plaza in San Jose del Cabo. Very quiet, with friendly and helpful staff. The room was really pretty and the bed super comfortable with luxury linens. The shower head could use replacing, but otherwise the bathrooms are spacious and towels plush. There are several hammocks on the property, and our little room patio had one as well. The hotel is in a great location for exploring the town, and the weekly art walk takes place right outside the front door. We personally were not impressed with the restaurant food, but there are tons of options within easy walking distance. Also, be aware that, while the pool area is lovely, it is small and there are only six lounge chairs beside the pool and two others on a nearby deck. People staked their spots every day, so we ended up not doing any pool time, which was disappointing. Just something to consider if you are wanting a vacation with lots of poolside lounging. Overall though, a lovely and relaxing stay.

Overpriced, Poorly Managed, and Zero Privacy – Disappointing Stay We were extremely let down by our stay at Casa Natalia. For nearly $300 a night, we expected a peaceful, boutique experience—but instead, we got cold food, zero privacy, and dismissive service. One of the biggest issues was that a maid unlocked our door and walked in while we were changing—before checkout time and without knocking. When we tried to speak to management about issues, we were told no manager was available until Monday—the day we were checking out. When we finally did speak to someone, her only response was that “cheap hotels are in another part of town.” No apology, no solutions, just condescension. As for the room: it was not what was advertised. The listing’s main photo shows a private jacuzzi on the balcony—there was no jacuzzi at all. We had a shared balcony with only a flimsy bamboo screen between us and our neighbors, offering no privacy whatsoever. Both we and a neighboring guest (who paid over $3,000 for the week) had issues with no hot water and terrible water pressure. The bathroom light didn’t work, and the TV was so outdated it couldn’t stream anything—buttons for Netflix and apps were non-functional. We could live with that, but combined with everything else, it just added to the disappointment. We also ordered food from the restaurant—$30 shrimp tacos and $40 steak tacos—and both dishes arrived cold. The shrimp even had shell pieces still on them, and the taste was bland and underwhelming for the price. All in all, Casa Natalia is nowhere near worth the price. Between the poor food, lack of privacy, nonexistent amenities, and terrible customer service, we left feeling completely taken advantage of. Would absolutely not return or recommend.

Had a great longish stay at Casa Natalia. Welcoming staff, perfect location and comfortable room, with a small private patio. Looks just like the pictures online. Had both breakfast and dinner and they were very good. Met several returning guests. Wifi was fine. Booked directly with the hotel and it was quick and easy. Would stay again.

I rented one of the rooms with the jacuzzi tub and it didn't work the entire time. They said they would be giving credit but it didn't come through. I gave them four stars because other than the jacuzzi the place is amazing with a great location and wonderful service. The rooms are somewhat basic but the hotel itself makes it a great experience.

First my verdict: never again! The good: the hotel is right at the central Plaza and loads of bars and restaurants are walking distance away. Staff is friendly. Also, it's adults only....and the common areas are nice. But....the "Artist" room was disgusting, so bad that I should have refused to stay (I regret I didn't). The walls are popcorn-style concrete, the furniture from the 80s, the ceiling fans belong in a museum, the curtain almost falling off, the armchairs dirty, the TV the size of my office monitor, the AC loud, everything smelly....the room definitely was nothing like the hotel describes on their website! Horrible place!!!! The pool was cold the first 2 days and after complaining several times, they turned the heater on. There is also live music at the restaurant creating noise, an open air space next door with dance and drums being noisy. Plus, any events at the Plaza create more noise. We did not find this hotel to be calm and relaxing at all. All this for $270....insanity to get a miserable room like this in Cabo at that price. Again, I won't stay here again!!!

We recently stayed at Casa Natalia as part of a wedding group and had a very nice experience. The staff, especially Fernando, were truly wonderful. I really wanted to leave a full five star review because of the experience they provided for us. The grounds were beautiful and perfectly appointed for our needs and expectations of a relaxing stay. The location is also very central, allowing easy walking access to more or less anywhere you could want to go. We also didn’t have any of the Wi-Fi issues that others mentioned in past reviews during our 7-day stay. My only concern was that the experience seemed to differ a bit for guests staying in various rooms. We had no bathroom door, while others did. We had little to no water pressure or hot water in the shower for the duration of our stay, to the point that we actually showered in a friend’s room for one day. Our friends had great water pressure and hot water. When we arrived, one of the fans in our rooms squeaked pretty badly and interfered with our sleep, but when we asked to have it looked at, it was fully repaired later that same day. Overall, we had a lovely time and would strongly consider returning.
Lily C — Google review
Staff are so friendly and the hotel location is ideal. We enjoyed the central plaza in the historic district with plenty of shops and restaurants and the Art Walk on Thursday night- all just steps away. The suites are comfortable and colourfully decorated. Great hotel for my family to start our vacation in Cabo! We hope to return again. Congratulations on 25 years in the hotel and restaurant business!
Janice W — Google review
Cute hotel and staff are nice but… Hotel is charging too much for not providing reliable internet. (I can see from other reviews this is an ongoing problem.) I’ll have to pay to use a coworking space in town. I thought when I booked this place it would be a good place to get some work done while traveling- I was wrong. If you’re not trying to work it’s a better option, nice boutique feel, great location and cozy space. The room needs some upgrades, and there’s a bad smell coming from the bathroom.

Our family loved every moment. We went on the 9am one hour and half ride. The lady from bonanza recommended early morning rides for a more comfortable experience. My kids loved the experience. Very kid friendly establishment

What a great company for horse back riding in Los Cabos. Not only did they have nice healthy horses, they were very accommodating. From how we were able to pay, to questions we had regarding the horses and what we could and could not do. They even had different options depending on how long you want to ride. I definitely recommend these guys for horseback riding not only are they are, true service was great. When I'm back I will try them again. Thanks 👍👍🙂

This ride was an incredible experience. My wife and I did a private tour for 2 hours. Lorenzo was fun to talk to and was willing to do whatever we wanted to do. They took pictures of us on our phone for no charge. They also matched our skill level and allowed us to run around the beach on our own for awhile. It was so much fun, I would absolutely recommend it!

Wow! I had a blast crossing this off my bucket list morning! These guys are amazing. I had an incredible ride on the beach. Not only was the owner an incredibly kind and warm guy, but the guys leading the ride were outstanding. Lorenzo was amazing! He was so fun and our group had a great time. I loved being able to take my years of riding experience and take it to the crashing ocean waves. And of course we laughed a lot! I couldn’t recommend this company more for a wonderful Cabo experience!

Horses are well kept and the owners/guides are very nice and personable. $50/hr $70/1.5hr if you book directly with Bonanza. A very quick drive from any hotel in San Jose beach. They take little ones too, the guide just holds their horse by the rope the entire ride. My 9yo rode by himself and had a blast. The horses are gentle and tame.

This is a great activity that I would recommend to anyone visiting this area. The tour operator, Arron, picked us up on time and we arrived safely at the tour activity. We paid a few dollars more for the transportation option since we were fairly close to the facility. The tour location was shaded to keep the horses cool and a barrel of clean water was there for the horses to drink upon our return. Arron had indicated that we would probably benefit from a shorter horse ride than two hours we had originally planned. We took the shorter ride and we didn't regret it at all. It was just long enough to enjoy the beach walk, to enjoy the horse riding, take a few photos, and then return to get off the horses in time to avoid the noon time heat. Enrique and Jesus were great as our guides. I rode on Chewbacca and my wife rode on Paulina. The tour guides demonstrated knowledge of the route and kept us and our horses safely on the designated route. Make sure you set aside an extra dollar to tip the tour guides. It's always great to have tour guides that really like their jobs because it make the tour activity much more fun and interesting when the tour guides are actively involved in the tour activity.

Swim with Dolphins
Dolphin Discovery Los Cabos, established in 1994, is renowned as the top dolphin company globally. It offers interactive encounters with dolphins and opportunities to swim with sea lions and manatees. Visitors can enjoy a fun adventure ride and capture memories through professional photography. The experience includes engaging trainers, entertaining sea lions, and various interactive activities with dolphins. While some find the photo prices high, others see it as part of the vacation experience in this tourist-centric location.
Went to Dolphin Discovery Los Cabos with a group of friends. I've been with dolphins before in Punta Cana and conditions were much better here. The dolphins seemed happy and weren't covered in scares like I seen before. Danni the trainer, was perfect 👌 clear and loud English and answered all my questions

Came here with my wife and kids, definitely not for young kids! My 5 year old and 8 year old didn't want to get in the dirty murky waters...dolphin are the only nice thing about this place. Cameras are not allowed and the reason why is because they will gouge you if you want to purchase the pictures they will set you back $45 USD for single person lol I wouldn't recommend it and will definitely not come back! I also purchased 2 small stuffed animals and a Tshirt for my kids and that set me back over $70 USD. Way better things to do for the amount you pay!

This was by far the BEST excursion we did while on vacation. Truly a once in a lifetime experience! We purchased the Royal Swim package which included over 6 unique, interactive activities with 2 dolphins (Tango and Cleopatra) our sealife expert guide, Gabriel was knowledgeable and wonderful to interact with, with our English speaking group of 6. That package came with all of the dolphin encounter photos taken by their professional photographer, a camel ride, sealion encounter, speed boat ride along the coast of San Jose Del Cabo and a buffett lunch. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ENCOUNTER FOR YOUR FAMILY!!!!

The whole experience was worth it. All 14 of us had so much fun. Only bad thing was the picture prices . For 2 people it's like 170.00 so you might have 6 pictures or if your lucky you get 20 , but it's the same price . We where 14 and they didn't do group packages .

Had a great time with the kids. Trainers were fun. The sea lions made everyone laugh. The photos are extremely expensive although remember this is a very tourism based area. This is how they make their money and is just part of the vacation experience. Was a great experience from beggining to end, the transport was great and we did buy the photos. I'm glad we did because now we have these memories to hold onto not just in our head.
Don W — Google review
Dolphins were fun to swim with and were very well trained. The 15 min speed boat ride and camel loop for about 1 min were also fun. Our driver was 20 min late to pick us up which made us do activities in an oddball order. They also claimed a kayak experience but we didn't get to ride kayaks because "they didn't have paddles". So a bit of a bait and switch. Buffet food was also not good at all. The real issue with this place is the photo racket they are running. Their prices are far beyond ridiculous and they will not even allow you to bring your own camera to take your own pictures. Because our driver was late to pick us up we did activities out of order. Then they wanted to charge us even more for pictures after we finished all the activities because they had already made a DVD of the first activities we did and didn't want to include photos of the rest of the activities. All in all they were trying to charge us $200 for around 100 pictures. This is far beyond reasonable so we ended up buying nothing at all.
Asiel B — Google review
Highly recommend it this once in a lifetime experience. We purchased the top notch ticket and it was well worth it. We were 1 of 3 groups and jealousy reared its ugly head because all we kept hearing was "we should have bought the tickets that they paid for.
Armando G — Google review
Dolphin Discovery is amazing ! The dolphins are happy. The trainers truly have a life long bond with these wonderous mammals. I have been several times. One of the best things to do is the free talk everyday at 3 PM. The trainers will explain the importance of protecting the environment and afterwards tou get to meet one of the dolphins. One of many great ways Dolphin Discovery gives back.

Nestled in a vibrant locale, the Ivan Guaderrama Art Gallery is a contemporary haven for art enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. This gallery stands out with its remarkable collection of religious-themed paintings, prints, sculptures, and home decor that invite deep reflection and emotional engagement. The innovative works of artist Ivan Guaderrama are not just visually stunning; they also incorporate cutting-edge technology to create an interactive experience.
We love Ivan's interactive art. It is very encouraging and uplifting. We purchased the interactive mirrors for friends to help cheer them up. We were very happy to meet Ivan and Imelba during Arts Walk at the San Jose studio. If you are in San Jose please go to the art district and meet Eric, who was so helpful in showing us the various pieces. We first purchased from their store at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach in the Marketplace, but finally got to their prime location when both artists were actually there!

I love art but this is so much more than that! After hearing about Ivan at our resort, I knew I wanted to meet him or at the very least see his beautiful art. I felt certain he had a ❤️ for people and was a very kind, compassionate and giving person. After visiting his art gallery in San Jose, I was right. I did not get to meet Ivan personally, but I knew he had a love for our Lord and Savior the minute I entered his gallery; his art will express that in every way. We were blessed to meet people that work with him .. he, too, was very kind and caring and helpful as my husband and I walked his gallery and viewed his work. It is a definite must do if you are in the area. We were blessed to have been able to pick up a few of his pieces as gifts for our family; I am certain they will fall in love with it as we did. Thank you Ivan for sharing your gift of art and love for others .. it made our visit to the area one of the BEST years yet!

Amazing!! The art is colorful, interactive and with positive messages. I’ve never seen an interactive art gallery like this and absolutely loved it! The guy that walked me through it was super friendly.

This art gallery was excellent. The lady was very informative and very nice. The majority of the artwork is interactive. So if you download the app it will make your visit even better! It's a Christian artist, but even if you're a non-believer or have another religion, you'll still enjoy it. I was going to post pictures, but I just realized I had so much fun, that I didn't take any!

Unique gallery - a must see!! In addition to the art making me smile, the interactive experience made it memorable. Would definitely recommend a visit. It will warm your heart

It’s an interactive art gallery. Very spiritual and colorful. Some of the paintings come to life using your phone or you can touch/play some of the pieces and one piece of art was a keyboard. It wasn’t busy when I went in the evening which allowed me to interact with all the art work.

It's a gorgeous gallery. I wish I could submit photos, but I didn't want to be rude to the artist. He let me and my wife in a couple hours early and we were able to enjoy the gallery by ourselves. His paintings really made me think. Wow. I've never had art make me look at it the way these pieces did. If only I had the money, I would have bought some of his replicas in a heartbeat. 🙂

No massed-produced folk art here! Each amazing piece is selected for its uniqueness and master craftsmanship. The jewelry is beautiful—impossible to leave without buying something. I could not be happier with my choice of an exquisite amethyst ring. Thank you, Armando Sanchez, for your kindness and patience—it was hard to choose.

So enjoyed my visit to this gallery. I was on the hunt for Huichol art and this shop was highly recommended. I found two beautiful pieces of Huichol art (a turtle and a cactus) as well as a set of beautiful Huichol earrings. Also bought a stunning pearl ring, and a number of Talavera ceramic pieces which make awesome souvenir’s. Armando shared the history of his family business with me. He was very knowledgeable about all his product’s in the gallery. Super friendly and very kind! Five stars from me *****

A not to be missed area with lots of really nice shops (not just your tourist kind of things). Some of the best restaurants and bars are in the area. Men can park at a lively bar and women can browse in the lovely little shops. We went to the Thursday art walk, so fun. It is also beautiful at night.

We just took an Uber down and wandered around town. The Gallery district is amazing! Worth the visit. The art the shopping is wonderful! If you go during the day bring a little water! There are many restaurants to quench your thirst but having water handy is nice. It reached 90 for us and many of the places do not have air conditioning - just fans. Still wonderful but good to know so you can bring water and dress lightly. Oh there is a Japanese Michellen star restaurant, and many more crafted restaurants to explore! The church in town square is magical. It is situated where a small breeze comes in so a beautiful spiritual rest stop. We also found a cool lil Cuban cigar house. All of the district is full of art specialists in silver, leather, soaps, perfumes , and great decorations that have a Mexican flair!
Diana K — Google review
Beautiful art everywhere, I loved it this aspect of it. However, it was taken aback by how expensive everything was. Not including the art itself but a lot of it seems like it’s adjusted to “gringo”Pricing. Went to a restaurant ended up paying $20 for 1 drink. Those are US prices. It’s a nice one-time.

Enrique Bascon's paintings and drawings are full of detail, realism, and color. He takes inspiration from collage and pop art to create pieces that are unique and interesting. His work is displayed in a gallery in San Jose del Cabo, which is a great place to view it. If you're ever in the area, definitely check out Enrique Bascón's work!
This is a gallery you want to stop by!!! Enrique's work is not only professional, artistic and admirable but a great conversation starter. They say that good art makes you feel something but Enrique's art not only makes you feel something but makes you talk about it. His expressions and interpretations allow the viewer to interpret the art in their own way. My husband and I had a great time looking at each piece and interpreting in our own ways and luckily had the opportunity to get Enrique's interpretation of it in the end. We could not leave Cabo without taking a piece of our own which I am absolutely excited to have our guest tell us what they see when they look at his art. I couldn't recommend this gallery more, even if you don't snag a piece, swing by and be ready for some good conversation!
Georgina G — Google review
Enrique Bascón is an exceptional world-class artist whose dedication to his craft is truly inspiring. We recently acquired a stunning piece created by Enrique (hello Alejandra Tapia) that was significant investment. Owning such a unique piece is a decision you’ll never regret. During transit, the artwork sustained minor damage, imperceptible to most but deeply concerning to Enrique’s discerning artistic eye. Demonstrating unparalleled integrity, Mr. Bascón personally traveled to Colorado at his own expense to meticulously restore the piece, despite not being responsible for the damage. This selfless act speaks volumes about his character and commitment to his art. If you’re near the gallery, please stop by to experience their remarkable work and share a warm hello from Colin and Dana.

The Sacristia Art & History is an excellent gallery showcasing both traditional and contemporary Mexican ceramics and art. Located on the western side of the main plaza, adjacent to the Catholic church, this gallery offers beautiful and high-quality ceramics that are lead-free. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, providing background information about the pieces on display. The prices are reasonable, and what makes this place particularly appealing is that there is no pressure to make a purchase; instead, they simply explain their collection.
This is a fine gallery for traditional and contemporary Mexican ceramics and art. You will find it on the west side of the main plaza and next to the Catholic church The ceramics here are beautiful and of very high quality. So we wanted to buy something small to bring back home. For added incentive, the ceramics are lead free. The staff were very helpful and gave us the back ground information and we ended up selecting a traditional ceramic bowl. The prices were reasonable and the best part was that nobody hassled us for buying anything and just explained their pieces on display. Highly recommend this place to anyone interested in good quality Mexican ceramics.

This place is a true gem in Los Cabos! The shop is filled with beautiful, handmade art and décor pieces that reflect the rich culture and craftsmanship of Mexico. They were incredibly warm and welcoming. They took time to explain the techniques behind each piece and made our experience feel personal and special. We ended up purchasing several Mexican bark paper artworks, all reasonably priced and carefully packed for our journey home. Highly recommend visiting if you’re looking for authentic, meaningful finds and a genuinely lovely experience!

I highly recommend La Sacristia to those looking for beautiful ceramics and a store that stands behind their products. We purchased a large painted ceramic dog from La Sacristia in 2017 and had them ship it to us in the U.S. The shipment, while quite well packaged in a crate, unfortunately arrived damaged. La Sacristia had a replacement dog painted and shipped to us to make good on the order. We appreciate their follow through on resolving our issue and we now have a similarly beautiful piece of art in our home to enjoy. We will look forward to visiting their store again during our next trip to San Jose del Cabo.

I HIGHLY RECOMEND TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. EVEN THE ATTENTION IS KIND ENOUGH, THE MAIN SALESWOMAN THAT IS IN CHARGE, CHEAT ON HER OWN CUSTOMERS. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A FINE ART PIECE (THAT WASN'T CHEAP AT ALL) AFTER BEING PACKED BY HER, SHE GAVE IT TO ME. WHEN I ARRIVED TO MY HOTEL (BECAUSE I WAS ON VACATIONS AT SAN JOSÉ) I NOTICE THAT A PART OF THE PIECE WAS BROKEN. OBVIOUSLY I WAS UNABLE TO CLAIM, BECAUSE THE NATURE OF THE PRODUCT. AFTER I ENDED MY VOYAGE, AT MY HOME I TRY TO REPAIR IT BY MYSELF AND THAT'S WHEN I REALIZED THAT THIS PIECE WAS BEING BROKEN BEFORE BECAUSE THERE WAS AN EVIDENCE OF SECOND REPAIR. SO IF YOU WANT TO RECEIVE EXCELLENT ATTENTION BUT BEING CHEATED AT THE END BUY AT THIS PLACE.

Playa Cabo Real is a beautiful and secluded beach with a stunning view. Access to the beach can be challenging as there is no parking, requiring visitors to leave their cars on the Transpeninsular highway. The beach is known for its wild and isolated passages, making it an adventurous destination. While the strong waves make swimming dangerous, it's still enjoyable to splash around and explore the tide pools.
Great beach. Warm water, big waves.

Playa Cabo Real: Secluded Beauty Along the Golden Corridor Located between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas along the famed Tourist Corridor, Playa Cabo Real offers a quiet, scenic beach experience framed by desert mountains and the azure waters of the Sea of Cortez. This stretch of coastline fronts the prestigious Cabo Real development — a master-planned community known for luxury resorts, golf, and residential opportunities. 🌊 Tranquil and Untouched Playa Cabo Real is less crowded than other popular beaches in Los Cabos, making it ideal for peaceful walks, sunbathing, or simply taking in the natural beauty. The beach is wide and pristine, with golden sands that slope gently into the sea. While the surf here can be strong at times, the views alone are worth the visit — especially at sunrise, when the coastline glows under the early light. 🏌️‍♂️ Nearby Attractions The beach sits just steps away from the Cabo Real Golf Club, a championship 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Visitors can also enjoy nearby luxury resorts such as the Hilton, Dreams, and Casa del Mar, all of which offer beachfront dining and spa services that complement a day by the ocean. 🚗 Accessibility Although Playa Cabo Real isn't marked with signage, it's accessible via discreet turnoffs near resort entrances or by walking through designated paths from nearby hotels and communities. The area is well-maintained and patrolled, thanks to the upscale nature of the surrounding development. 🏡 Real Estate Investment Opportunity The Cabo Real community is a prime destination for real estate investment in Los Cabos. Whether you're seeking a beachfront villa, a condo with golf views, or a vacation rental property, Cabo Real offers a secure, well-established environment with infrastructure and amenities that attract high-end buyers and international travelers alike. Thinking about investing in Cabo? Playa Cabo Real’s unique blend of seclusion, beauty, and proximity to world-class golf and resorts makes it an ideal location. Contact me today to explore the real estate opportunities waiting for you in Cabo Real. Let’s turn your Baja dream into a reality.
