We had a delicious meal for 4. I enjoyed the catch of the day (Red Snapper, grilled to perfection), 2 had the Rib Eye steak, and 1 had the pork ribs. All were grilled perfectly. My cousin loves this place so we went for dinner. The service was good and it was fun listening to the music. I had the ribs, my wife had the pork chop, another of our party had the tuna, and one had the steak. The ribs were flavorful, but a bit tough. The pork chop was overcooked so it was a bit dry and chewy. The tuna was pretty good and the steak was by far the best. I thought the prices were over the top and would likely not go back, nor would I recommend it. Not terrible, but certainly not worth the price.

The food was really good. The price was higher then other places with the same flavor. We had the Mahi and chicken, both were really well cooked and juicy.

A little off the beaten path, but in a beautiful and friendly neighborhood of small villas, shops, and restaurants. The staff was welcoming. Everything on the menu looks delicious, and I can say that with certainty about the pork chop and fresh snapper dishes. Live music was playing throughout the evening. I highly recommend exploring Zihua's quaint corners; especially those of us (like myself) that are staying in one of the Playa la Ropa condos.

I had breakfast there, specially their chilaquiles with eggs and chicken. I washed it down with a strawberry and banana smoothie. The service was great as was their food. The atmosphere was very relaxing. I'll definitely be back

Fruits and vegetables available here but the prices were not that low like we expected. It is hot so be prepared to be extremely warm walking up and down the aisles and it is a bit claustrophobic if you are taller. It is very similar to many flea markets in Mexico. It was a good experience though and we picked up some nice fresh fruits.

Lots of very fresh veggies and fruit , meat and fish. I had chicken soup it was enough for 2 people it was the best flavored chicken soup I've ever had.

Went looking for local artisans and craft wares, but found mostly Chinese imports of cheap junk. On the bright side, the produce looked nice.

As a tourist only stating for a few days it was fun to visit. I really didn't need to shop. If I was staying for a few weeks I might visit for local produce every few days. You can get food here at the food counters.

Awesome market. Vast assortment of vendors, fresh food, meat, fish fruits veggies, bakery, dairy,.household supplies, clothing and niknaks.. many eateries to choose from.

The beach is beautiful. The sheer amount of plastic and garbage on the beach and water is not nice. I saw more plastic while snorkeling than fish. It would be an amazing beach if the restaurants didn't line up to water line and the garbage was cleaned up. Go all the way to the end of the beach if you want to get away from the crowds and music from the restaurants.

I really enjoy Playa Las Gatas, it's a calm beach, with clear blue water, protected by a reef/rocks. It is great for families, restaurants line the beach so you can have drinks, food and shade right at the waters edge, while kids play in the sand/water. Some good resting spots are Arnoldos, food and drinks are good but gets busy and is close to beach entrance so high foot traffic area. Personally we enjoy Franco's amazing hospitality at Otilia. Location is great, right at the end of the beach, lighter foot traffic, food is OK, drinks are good. Grab a bucket of beer on ice, some coconut shrimp or whole fried garlic snapper and sit back and enjoy the beach. Franco is really the highlight though, what a great guy and really takes care of his customers. Also don't miss the onsite masseuse, she is fantastic too

Great beach. Clean, spacious, great views and sunsets. Lots of hotels at varied prices. From Centro you can take the Combi here for 12-13 pesos, try to ride outside shift change rush, as they are all full of workers at that time. You can also walk. From the Kioto traffic circle follow the sign to La Ropa, on Palmar St., and up the hill it turns into Escenica La Ropa. After you reach the peak of the hill and start to decend, you'll see a sign for the hotel La Casa Que Canta -this steep concrete path will take you right down to the north end of La Ropa beach. Its easy in a decent pair of shoes. Alternatively, you can skip this path and stay on Escenica La Ropa until you reach the Dolphins, and turn right down to the beach. It is a sweaty walk in the heat of the day, but less onerous in the morning or evening.

We came for a dinner and very much enjoyed the pazole! I got the mixed meat and damn it hit good! We got a pitcher of Jamaica to wash it down. My family has been eating here for years. But it was the first time I had been in probably 15 years. The prices are very very fair!

This evening we got the pleasure of hearing Jose Luis Cobo play at his #zihuatanejo nightclub called La Canta de Los Sirenas. Many years ago, he wrote the song by the same name which became a huge hit in Mexico.  He puts on an absolutely fantastic one man show, just him, his acoustic guitar, his charming personality and his beautiful voice.  It was a packed house and everyone was movin to the groovin. I am told that he is very active in the annual #Sailfest fundraiser event.  In fact, the event kick-off party is at his place. Musicians, sailboats and sunset cruises, what an awesome combination! Proceeds from Sailfest support the non-profit, Por Los Nino's, and are used to support the local schools, a much needed cause. Also playing tonight was Musica y Fuego.  Three very talented dudes in their own right!  You can tell they enjoy playing together. Their energy was rich and their tunes were delicious.  At various times throughout the evening they invited various other musicians, from the audience to play an impromptu song. These folks are doing it right down here.  Such talent! I'm looking forward to participating in and hearing all the talent that will be in town for Sailfest!  Exciting! Moreover, everyone I observed (including my fellow visitors) treated the dolphins with kindness and respect. My son and I signed up for the full interaction, which I recommend if you can afford it. We made our reservations the day before with Jesús Rodríguez, who kindly obtained us a substantial discount. The experience itself is largely indescribable. Wonderful place from where the boats leave to go to the “Playa Los gatos” and “Playa la ropa”. My wife and I walked across the 2 beaches one way enjoying the amazing landscape and we had a snorkelling tour with a local guide. The food is delicious and not so expensive. Excellent place to enjoy the beach and swim in the ocean. There aren’t high waves, however you have to be aware of the sudden high waves. You can rent a space to hang out and eat your own food, they also sell food and drinks there in case you didn’t bring them with you.

The water was warm, there was plenty of places to sit and relax and there was tons of great food. It's a bit crowded, but everyone is so nice, so it doesnt really matter. Theres tons of things to do on the water, but I reccomend parasailing. Super easy and extremely fun! Not to mention very cheap. I think I spent just about $7 USD for 2 people. So worth it!!

Very short drive from Zihuatanejo. As we drove past the site, we were approached by a man on a motorcycle, dressed as a tour guide. He spoke great English and showed us the site. He asked 200 pesos per person for a 1 1/2 hour tour. Very interesting historical site. The are is easy to walk...keep in mind, there is some climbing up stairs. He moved fast, but always took time to answer questions. Irving is his name. Also watched a traditional dance with fire. Ate at the restaurant across the street....excellent food and very clean. Thursday is pizoli soup...mui bien!

One thing we enjoyed about the course was the beer cart guy met us wherever we wanted him to mert us throughout the day with cold beer and water. Another nice thing is that this course is so poorly maintained compared to the other one in town, that there was no one else golfing there with us. So it is great for amateurs who don't like holding people up or being rushed through a busy course. A tio for anyone wanting to come here. We never received a sand wedge in one of our bags, then when we returned them the workers insisted that we lost it and made us pay 300 pesos for it, even though we never even had it to begin with.

I was worried about going over each bridge that it might collapse under us. Also, the fairways were pretty non-existent. The rental clubs were 20 years old and terrible and the golf cart was run down. The cost to play is $1050 mx pesos. The most people should be charged is $400 mx pesos. The staff was friendly, but truly, this course is a hazard. Palma Real Golf Course is definitely the way to go if you play golf in Ixtapa. That course also needs a lot of maintenance but it’s playable.

The beach itself its beautiful and the restaurants are awesome and friendly with great food. The day we went at end by the end of July the waves were very harsh and huge, we actually spent our time there on the restaurant's pool since it was safer for smaller children. I was afraid of them swimming on those huge waves.

Enjoyed the clean quite beach. Waves where strong but at one end it wasn't bad at all. We packed a lunch and ate. There are bathrooms, 5 pesos per person. It doesn't have chairs. So bring a towel or something to sit on. It is also set up for handicap, so that's really cool. We enjoyed it and will be going back again.

Nice place to stay apart from the crow, part of the sea is calm almost always, long way walking to arrive with old people or babies. You can find shadow from trees if you arrive early.

A quiet getaway, sandy beach full of palm trees, located next to club med resort makes this an excellent day trip option to enjoy the ocean on this small bay , waves are slowed down by La Isla making it very friendly fior those who enjoy open water swimming. Expect no food vendors or water sports rentals, bring your beach towel and pick one of the bushes along the beach to enjoy this locals favorite spot. This is a pet friendly beach for those traveling with their four legged companion, and one last suggestion: when visiting don't forget to pick up your trash!

Newer museum showcasing nearby archaeological find. I suggest taking a tour of this with Luis de la Maza. He picks you up at your hotel in an air conditioned van. No driving needed on back country roads! He is an excellent English speaking Zihuatanejo native and explains the history and interprets all of the Spanish information display panels- as they are only in Spanish. After the museum and ruins, on his tour you have a chance to visit a nearby villager’s home with a typical kitchen, tile floor and garden. He then takes you on a boat trip on a lovely mangrove lined lagoon to see pelicans, frigates and other native birds. Finally a lovely lunch under a shady palm frond covered patio. I had the garlic shrimp! Excellent food, no worries about food prep, super clean and fresh!!

Very informative and clean! It's all in Spanish so bring a translator or Google lens if you can. The bathrooms are a little small so user beware. I had to fight off a crocodile to use the men's rooms but it was an easy fight GG no RE.

The boat ride to the island was about 15 minutes. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Banana boat ride and snorkeling also available. Highly recommended.

Visited La Isla De Ixtapa as part of a package and had an absolutely great time! The food was delicious (see fresh caught oyster pic)! The snorkeling was one of the best experiences of my life. The staff were attentive and welcoming. The beach activities were super fun. Highly recommended!

We ate in a delicious shop hidden between main Street and beach: breaded chicken breast, rice, salad and cheese and mushroom quesadilla with hand made tortillas, which were delicious.
