Cerro Catedral is a popular recreational mountain in Argentina, known for its sizable winter ski center and summertime trails offering stunning lake views. The area around Refugio Frey has seen significant improvements since 2005, with over 90 routes being re-equipped for safer climbing experiences. As the largest ski center in Argentina and South America, Cerro Catedral boasts 53 tracks catering to skiers, snowboarders, and alpine skiers of all levels.
Cerro Catedral in Argentina is gorgeous! Views are breathtaking, with panoramic landscapes of the Andes. Whether you’re skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer, the scenery is unmatched. It’s the perfect spot to immerse yourself in nature and take in some of the most beautiful views Argentina has to offer. Highly recommend!
Daniel A — Google review
Amazing place, the best mountain in South America. But, veeeery busy for beginners!
Julio D — Google review
The mountain is truly beautiful, but the skiing is quite disappointing. While Bariloche is undoubtedly a beautiful place to visit, it’s important to manage your expectations regarding the skiing quality.
Javier F — Google review
literally one of my top three favorite places in bariloche. we went sledding and had SO much fun. can't wait to go back.
Marie H — Google review
Great place to visit. Stunning views and a great place to so snowboard&Ski, 100% recommended
Greg — Google review
If this is the best place you can ski in Latin America then i have bad news for you guys… 1. No snow 2. Tons of people 3. No wind but they closed top routes saying that there is a wind there and it’s not safe (the weather was really peaceful and pleasant… They have like 6-8 snow machines but they don’t put it in places where there’s no snow 4. The price is higher than in Armenia and in Russia but the slopes are worse Just for your information. The snow level as it is shown on photos is just unacceptable for any ski resort So if you are looking for place where you want to learn how to ski or improve your skills or just to enjoy skiing - I don’t think this is an option
Music C — Google review
Beautiful ! I had so much fun in the snow. Whoever wants to go there by taxi just make sure to talk to your taxi driver if they can pick you up after, because there is no cars available to get back after night.

Unlike other mountain refuges in Bariloche that are open seasonally, Refugio Frey welcomes visitors year-round and caters to backcountry skiers and mountaineers during the winter months.
Free water at the top. Last mile is approx 1000 feet gain. No toilet paper at top. Shaded in the middle section. Nice cool and refreshing dip at the top.

I hike a lot and I love nature exploration. This hike was one of my best solo hiking experiences. I started real late so almost my entire way back down I hiked in the dark with no flashlight or headlamps and no backpack… I know sounds stupid, especially for a tourist who who has never been here before. Anyhow reaching the top and having a fresh pizza cooked in the oven before my eyes and having a fresh hot coffee was so rewarding. I loved it. In the bottom where I started it was hot and I was sweating 2/3 up it started snowing, at the peak where the shelter and the cafe were, it was freezing cold. Having my pizza while looking out the window to that frozen lake and beautiful spiky mountains was just indescribably amazing, which I will never forget!
Freddie A — Google review
Lovely warm refuge with comfy beds and home cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner 😊 A three course dinner was around $25,000 peso per person and breakfast $13,000 - cash only.
Monica M — Google review
The Refugio was located by the lake. We did not stay over night but also the hike up there was not too hard to do a day trip, except you want to do some climbing which would require an overnight. Refugio offers some basic food and full of drinks. Good place for refreshment and shelter yourself from the wind while you up there. Toilets are basic but also clean. Overall I believe it is a place worth visit in Bariloche.
Kornjan T — Google review
Great hike from Cerro Catedral parking lot. The route is easy although requires a final push in the last 2km. That's where it becomes really steep. Until this final push you will be able to enjoy a beautiful forest with beautiful flowers and trees. Be sure to enjoy it.
Flávio R — Google review
Coming from Villa Catedral it is one of the most amazing hikes that I've done. The refugio itself it's very cozy, sells drinks (recommend the hot chocolate) and from 1pm sells food like pizza. Very unique athmosphere, I recommend to get here early because around the 1pm it started to get more crowdy. Maybe aim to arrive before 1pm just in time to order some hot food. I had a look at the dorm and wouldn't mind spending a night there, must be pretty cool.
Petr V — Google review
Lovely spot and great people. Camping is free if you have your own tent. They even rented me a sleeping bag!
Chris W — Google review
I came in the autumn and it was really nice. The path was completely covered with snow which made the trip quite challenging but much more fun and advantageous. Be ready for any weather, it looks different once you get higher in altitude. The food provided is ok, nothing special but given the location it absolutely suffices. Hot tea, coffee cakes, wine and beer are possible to purchase.

Centro Cívico Bariloche is the focal point of the town, featuring Alpine-inspired architecture and a museum that showcases the region's history. The buildings, constructed from timber and local stone, were designed in 1939 by Ernesto de Estrada in collaboration with renowned architect Alejandro Bustillo. At the main plaza, an equestrian statue of General Roca stands amidst graffiti art.
The civic center is full of culture and beauty. There are countless things to do. You can always find things to do to keep you entertained and food of all varieties. The Argentinians are respectful, helpful, and friendly.
Laura C — Google review
Centro Civico was built by architect Ernesto de Estrada.  Basically, like the main square, every town has one.  The place where large cultural and social events are often held.  Its architecture has European and North American influences, reflecting the surrounding mountains and woods. Walk around and take in the charming stone walls, wooden doors and Lake Nahuel Huapi in the background.  Museo de la Patagonia is located here and this is worth a visit.  I enjoyed walking around the square taking in the atmosphere and scenery.
Taylor D — Google review
Pet and family oriented. Clean and well maintained grass.
M M — Google review
The heart of Bariloche, the civic center is a public plaza. Constructed in 1940, the cobbled plaza is bounded by stone and log buildings housing the Municipality of Bariloche (the one with the clock tower), the city library, a museum and the city post office. At the center of the plaza is the equestrian statue of General Julio Argentino Roca, military leader and statesman. He served 2 terms as President of Argentina, for a total of 12 years, apparently the longest serving president. The plaza appears to be a center of community and civic activities throughout the year.
A ( — Google review
Cool civic center with lots to see. Lots of people offering exchange, but you get a fine rate at Western Union.

Lookouts
Cerro Otto, located within Nahuel Huapi National Park, is a mountain that offers breathtaking panoramic views of Lago Nahuel Huapi and the Andes from its 1,405-meter summit. Accessible by car, foot, or cable car, it provides hiking and biking trails in addition to seasonal cross-country ski trails. While the cable cars may undergo maintenance at times, visitors can still enjoy the stunning scenery and outdoor activities such as skiing during winter.
Another high Mountain View of lakes region of Bariloche. It’s accessible by cable car in a residential area of town. The view of the lakes and the Patagonian Alps is certainly magnificent. It is less busy than Cerro Campanario, just a couple of kilometers away.
Globetrotter — Google review
Beautiful views across the lago as you walk up to the summit. Only negative is the extortionate‘access charge’ to the cerro complex which is a fixed rate per person regardless. You can’t avoid it if you want to take the cable car back down.
Louise — Google review
For those trying to drive to Cerro Otto, the road is currently closed at the Piedras Blancas, and you will be denied access. There are some nice views near the parking lot, so still a worthwhile experience.
Brandon N — Google review
Worth a gondola ride, nice view over Bariloche and the lake
Joerg H — Google review
Beautiful place and walk with friends. Not too challenging and depending how close you can get to it in a vehicle you can do this as a day trek in just a few hours. The views are stunning and it’s one of the best examples of Lenga trees. It’s frustrating that part of the trek goes through “private land” of the Aralauquen estate - how on earth was part of a national park (and a large part at that) sold privately to become a playground for Bariloche’s rich and famous. Disgraceful really and surely there must have been some brown envelopes passed to ensure that this happened. In any case it’s a beautiful landscape and the views over Lago Gutierrez are sublime. Hopefully the whole trek returns to public hands soon.
Kevin M — Google review
Great, good price convenient transportation from Bariloche downtown, the restaurant really good and a lot of stuff to do in the top, recommend it

Fantastic mountaintop outdoorsman's dream. This venue has everything to keep a lover of the outdoors busy for many days and repeated trips to take advantage of all of the offerings. Accessible by car on a challenging gravel road to the top of the mountain. Hiking available. Parking is at a premium however! Many trails of various challenge levels. Highly recommended. Fantastic scenery.

Cerro Campanario, often hailed as one of the top 5 best views globally, offers breathtaking panoramic vistas that seem to extend endlessly in every direction. The short but challenging 30-40 minute hike leads to a viewing platform providing different orientations over all the lakes. At the summit, visitors can also enjoy souvenir shopping and take in the stunning scenery through a 180-degree window at the cafe.
Review of Cerro Campanario: Cerro Campanario is a must-visit spot in Bariloche, offering one of the most stunning panoramic views in the region. The hike to the top is short but steep, taking about 30-40 minutes depending on your pace. For those who prefer not to hike, there’s a convenient chairlift that takes you up in just a few minutes. Once at the summit, you’re rewarded with breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding lakes, forests, and mountains. It’s the perfect spot for photography or simply enjoying the natural beauty of Patagonia. There’s also a small café at the top where you can relax with a coffee or snack while taking in the views. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes if you plan to hike, as the trail can be slippery in some areas. It’s a relatively easy climb, suitable for families and people of all ages. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bariloche!
Andrey S — Google review
Hike to a stunning view at the top looking out to the mountains and lakes. You can also take the cable car up to the top. The hike up can get a little steep in places and also the soil can be somewhat loose. But even if you do not hike very much, take your time and you can complete it. Bring water with you. There is a restaurant at the top and a viewing platform.
Anthony R — Google review
A most magnificent view of the lakes and snow capped Patagonian Alps in Bariloche 😎😎😎😎😎. The colors are astounding! It’s a natural heavenly panorama that will stay to one’s memory for a very long time.
A ( — Google review
Cerro Campanario in Bariloche is absolutely stunning. The panoramic views from the top are unbelievable - sparkling lakes, majestic mountains, and the incredible Patagonian landscape stretching as far as you can see. It’s like standing inside a postcard. Getting there was surprisingly quick and easy by public transport, which made the whole trip even more enjoyable. The chairlift ride is fun, and once you reach the top, you’ll want to stay forever. A must-visit highlight in Bariloche
Hanna T — Google review
My cousin and I hiked up to Cerro Campanero. It took us about 40 mins up and 40 mins down. The climb was nice and often shaded, and the view from the top was incredible. We stopped at the cafe for a snack and enjoyed the view, then climbed back down.
Ryan S — Google review
Very difficult 30-min hike with a lot of dark dust ( don’t wear white shoes, slippers or sandals ) . The way down takes approx 15 min and pretty easy. you may want to take a walking cane or a piece of wood for older people. The view is breathtaking and one of the best I ever seen! There is a cafe on the top. The last way out was at 6:45pm ( January 19th)
Julia K — Google review

Argentinian restaurant
Alto El Fuego is a charming restaurant nestled in San Carlos de Bariloche, housed in a beautifully restored wooden building dating back to 1941. This inviting eatery sits on a hill near the Civic Center and boasts an open grill that greets you as soon as you step inside. The ambiance is minimalist yet warm, making it the perfect spot for both locals and visitors alike, including many international guests.
Probably the best ribeye steak I have had in my life, well I am only 55 :) This place is the best steakhouse in Bariloche, we visited a few "famous" ones and this is hands down our favorite. In fact we came twice . The ribeye was done Argentinian medium "on the point" and it was grilled to perfection. Juicy with full flavors. We also took the grilled vegetables which are a great side to the steak. The music and atmosphere is pleasant a lot of 80s music and other classics. Service was super friendly and they made us feel relaxed even with our lack of Spanish. The only recommendations I will note is that it's a shame they don't offer an affordable glass of red wine in the menu to make it absolutely perfect ;) Now a life journey begins to find something similar to their steaks, which I know will be impossible.
Zohar K — Google review
The waiters spoke great English, we had a very good wine. Got a table Easily. Food was very tasty, the meat tender and juicy. Vegetables fresh and the salad and the potatoes excellent. He had 1/2 portions so we could try three different meat styles. Portions are very big otherwise, good to share. And try the grilled cheese.
Teresa S — Google review
Wow! Wow, wow! You absolutely must come here for dinner when you are in Bariloche. Everything about this place is perfect! A charming outside, a cozy inside, excellent service, and amazing food! We had the Denver Steak, Provoleta (grilled cheese, heavenly!), grilled vegetables (including the best eggplant of my life!). Even the placemats are a work of art and the background music was great!
Sonja B — Google review
Amazing lamb and trout. Nice smoky and delicious, and extremely tender. Not too fatty which makes it delicious to eat. The vegetable and potato as a side are also scrumptious. The waiters and service is excellent. Only factor is that it is quite expensive…
P S — Google review
Couldn’t say anything bad about this place. We had lamb? The sirloin, the roasted veggies, empanadas, and the chorizo with chimichurri. All of it was amazing. They also had homemade bread that was great. Went with family and we couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. Our waitress was wonderful and was willing to speak English to us even though we speak Spanish. Very accommodating. Would recommend it to anyone who wants some good Argentine grilled meats!
Russ C — Google review
I ordered medium rare on my steak but I got welldone. Very disappointed but it was still very tasty.
김윤철 — Google review
Just everything about this place is fantastic. The setting, the food, the service. We had the Trout (Trucha) and the Fillet Mingon. Both were amazing. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly, spoke great english and was happy to endure our efforts to practice our poor spanish! Wine list was extensive too. Would definitely recommend, and likely will go back a second time before we leave (they are just not open on Sunday).

The Cathedral Our Lady of Nahuel Huapi, also known as Nuestra Senora de Nahuel Huapi, is a monumental neo-gothic building located in Bariloche next to the lake. Designed by architect Alejandro Bustillo and completed in 1947, this cathedral boasts impressive walls, a gigantic dome, and stunning stained-glass windows depicting biblical stories and historical figures from the area.
Absolutely stunning church. The stained glass alone is worth the visit
David R — Google review
I liked the architecture of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Nahuel Huapi. Inside, the portals seem to be made of reinforced concrete, although from the outside, the building appears to be made of stone. It was designed by architect Alejandro Bustillo and inaugurated in 1946. The stained glass windows have a style reminiscent of those created by the stone masons of the ancient Templars in the 11th century.
César A — Google review
Beautiful historic place. The arquitecture is amazing, the vitrauxs are incredible and the surroundings are breathtaking. Pity we couldn't buy anything at the little shop they have there as they only take cash.
Silvia M — Google review
Bariloche’s cathedral is an interesting modern structure built during WWII. Yet it is a classic gothic architecture. The high vaulted ceilings in both the nave and aisles, plus the stained glass windows high up the walls are all very gothic. Indeed, everything about the structural design is a throwback to the Middle Ages. Strangely beautiful indeed 😎😎😎. The interior is quite modern, the idols and images including a painting are unmistakably 20th century designs.
A ( — Google review
Incredible place to visit. Stunning architecture, including the beautiful glass paintings. A very calming vibe inside.

Rating it a 5 star because of it close location to the beautiful lake and its amazing mountains. The view is exceptional. Also, it has a large front and back yard to relax on a afternoon Finally, it is in the main center of the town. Entrance is free.

According to Google the church was open. I walked around it and tried all the doors but they were locked. I was however, able to take in the neo-gothic characteristics, with clear European architectural influence. Stunning. The Cathedral of San Carlos de Bariloche, “Our Lady of Nahuel Huapi,” is the main Catholic church in the city of San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina.

The best Ice Cream I have ever eaten in my life. Chocolate Con Guindas was amazing. This flavor is specific to the store in Bariloche. Not available in Buenos Aires. Rapanui should be a must visit for anyone visiting Argentina or Bariloche in particular. It is a cultural icon. Hope the brand comes Staseide, sometime soon. It's better than Amorino.

If you're a chocolate lover, the Museo del Chocolate Havanna is an absolute must-visit! Nestled next to Cerro Viejo, this charming museum offers guided tours that delve into the fascinating history of chocolate. You'll get a glimpse of how chocolate is crafted and even see impressive sculptures made entirely from this beloved treat. The experience includes tasting their delicious hot chocolate, which adds a delightful touch to your visit.
The overall experience was nice and the guide was very attentive, although the groups get a bit too big. You get the the money you spend for the ticket as credit for the store downstairs
Nicolas G — Google review
Inexpensive so maybe 4 stars. It's about a 20 minute tour and the groups are large. Info and displays are cool. But overall it could be better.
Robert Q — Google review
The tour was more regarding the history of chocolate then the making of the famous Havanna goodies. We were able to see a little of the factory but is was very limited and the processes weren’t really explained. The history of chocolate was interesting and the free sample of hot chocolate was delightful.
Maria F — Google review
The museum is small, but the hot chocolate is great. You get one as part of the tour. If it's a rainy day outside or you're "taking a day off" and resting for a day, this is a good attraction. Cheap, with a hot drink and some cultural experience. You also get a voucher worth 100% the entrance fee to spend at the shop on your way out. I'd totally go back just for the hot chocolate
Bruno K — Google review
Could it be better. They introduce very big groups, no room to move around or to watch the exposition. They do not give enough information, there are so many things to explain about chocolate! Short visit expensive price. Not worth it.
Alicia V — Google review
Interesting but not worth your time. There is a very small museum about chocolate which you cannot visit alone, you should wait for the guided tour start to enter. You can wait up to half an hour for a short 30 minutes tour about basic chocolate history. At the end there is a typical Havanna store which as any other store sells awesome products!
Juan S — Google review
An interesting place to visit. Shame there was very little in English as our Spanish is poor. The chocolate sculptures were good. The history of chocolate interesting. Staff were very good. Entrance fee of 90 pesos per person gave you 45 peso per person discount at the shop. Free sample of drinking chocolate on the tour.
Frank Y — Google review
Small, but very detailed store (who knew they supplied the cocoa for Cadburys first chocolate selection back in the UK).

Berlina is a popular spot for apres-ski activities, drawing in skiers and snowboarders with its casual atmosphere and homemade pizzas. The microbrewery offers an enticing selection of craft beers, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day on the slopes. While service may be a bit slow, visitors rave about the delicious pizza and solid beer options.
Best beer at the base of the mountain. The empanadas are also delicious, and the ambiance is fun. We went there daily
Alexie M — Google review
Great place to drink and to eat pizza and empanadas
Barbara A — Google review
The place to go for apres. Service is a little slow, but the pizza and beer are solid. Good apres deal for pizza and beer - four pints and an entire pizza for about US$16 when exchange rate was 60 pesos/1 USD. Lively scene and my favorite place to grab a bite after coming off the mountain.

The napo pizza here is AMAZING! You order inside and then you can sit outside with a beautiful view of the Cerro Catedral. Good service and good food.
Grace P — Google review
Tasty beer but beware - a vaso is smaller than a pint, so the happy hour deal (while good) doesn't quite match up to others nearby. Lively vibe and good tunes though.

Gutiérrez Lake, located in the Nahuel Huapi National Park in Argentina, offers a range of outdoor activities such as swimming, kayaking, fishing, hiking trails and mountain biking. The northern end of the lake features Villa Los Cohiues with a campground and a beautiful beach ideal for swimming due to its warm waters. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains from this area. The lake is easily accessible via Route 40, known for its scenic beauty.
Easy trek with a beautiful lake view. And went to playa Munoz.

This is a beautiful and peaceful lake with a campground and national park around most of it. The beach is rocky and very pleasant. The water is crystal clear and the lake is sheltered from the high winds in the area.
Maria F — Google review
We went for a hike around this gorgeous lake. The scenery was just amazing. It was a difficult hike of 15km, but we loved every minute of it. The hike finished at a resort mountain town of Cerro Catedral.
Ni — Google review
One of the most beautiful lakes you will see in Bariloche. You can go to the cerro catedral, and after that take the road "balcon Gutierrez", which goes down the lake. When you reach it, you can do the short walk to the "cascada de los duendes" falls, which is also very beautiful!

This is a beautiful spot. The lake is just perfect for kayaking or stand up paddling. Cerro Cathedral is close by for hiking. The surrounding forests are very beautiful.

Cascada de Los Duendes is a picturesque trail in the Gutierrez Lake Sector of Nahuel Huapi National Park. The route combines two short trails, leading to the beautiful double waterfall hidden in the forest. After enjoying the cascading waters, hikers can continue along a slightly sloping path to reach Mirador del Lago Gutierrez, offering stunning panoramic views of the area. This easily accessible walk is suitable for families and can be enjoyed year-round with minimal difficulty.
Most people drive to the trailhead bu it is a pleasant 2.1k walk from the #50 bus stop along a dusty but shaded road then a short hike to the falls.
William A — Google review
Easy walk to very nice waterfall. It wasn’t overly crowded. The trail was easy and mostly flat.
Maria F — Google review
Easy short walk to a nice waterfall. Totally worth the time. You can add a steep ~40-60 minutes hike to the lago Gutierrez mirador with gorgeous views.
Oded O — Google review
Nice easy walk by the lake and in the wood, and a lovely, not amazing, cascade. If you have 3-4 hours (including the time to get there) and want to spend them pleasantly - it might be a good idea. Get there by bus (forgot the number... Fifty something...)
Shirley K — Google review
“Idioma español más abajo” The Cascada de los Duendes is an easily accessible walk that can be enjoyed as a family, at any time of the year and is of very low difficulty. Where is the Los Duendes Waterfall located? To get from the city center, you have to take the number 50 bus that ends your tour in Villa Los Coihues, which is approximately 14 km from the city of Bariloche. You have to get off at Lake Gutierrez just after the bridge at the access to the Villa los Coihues neighborhood, from here you have to continue 1 km of walking along the street that borders the lake between forests and private homes and lodges. At the end of this road is the park guard house, and 100 meters later the path begins. You can also access this point by car or with bicycles and leave them parked there (we recommend not leaving valuable items in cars). The path through the forest has a total length of 400 meters with a minimum difficulty, in which one can observe centenary coihues, native flora of the place, the murmur of the stream, and if we stop, the sound of the birds that sing In the treetops In a moment the path is divided in two, the one that goes to the waterfall and the path that takes you to the viewpoint of the Gutierrez Lake at 1 km (it is also super recommended although with a greater demand since it has 100 meters of unevenness), to Muñoz Beach 7,5 km away and to the top of the Frey Refuge 10 km away, which are other highly recommended walks that require all day. This walk is ideal to do as a family, and enjoy the natural environment just minutes from Bariloche.

Good turistic place. If you don't like being around many (many) tourists I wouldn't recommend it. You definitely have tons of more solitary places to go to. But you definitely should go to the mirador if you're near by the Cascada de los Duendes!!

This shop has been renewed recently and now is a good place for breakfast or just a quick coffee. Cakes are abundant and tasty, and there are very convenient combos (e.g. cake + coffee) for what would be around 5usd. I stills wouldn't recommend their chocolates, there are better alternatives less than a block away, but if it comes to coffee or pastries, you can definitely visit this place. Service was relatively fast and the waiters were kind and patient.

Argentinian restaurant
Los Curantos de Víctor Goye is a unique dining experience in Bariloche, offering a traditional preparation of meats and vegetables cooked underground on hot stones and wrapped in nalca or maqui leaves. Located in Colonia Suiza, this establishment provides not only delicious food but also an immersive cultural experience. The curanto is prepared around 12:30 pm and then covered with leaves, skins, and earth before being uncovered for guests to enjoy.
If you come to Colonia Suiza, definitely plan to eat at this restaurant. They only operate Sunday and Wednesday at 1.45pm. The food uses the curanto technique which is amazing (Cost ~$42 USD per head). The owner of the restaurant shows how the food is cooked. There is a unique 5-steps menu of meat with a side. It's simple but the cooking technique elevates the taste. I ate far too much for 2 days ☺️. For quiet travelers do mind that the menu includes a show with very loud classic Latin music which may not be the taste of everyone. We couldn't speak because of the volume of music. In my view, I would have preferred a shorter musical show and a more up to date playlist.
Vanessa B — Google review
The man in the shirt that says Leo tried to scan my credit card with his personal cell phone. He pressed it up underneath, his phone beeped, and the screen flashed. We asked him what he was charging to the card and then he grabbed the wireless credit card terminal and denied he was doing anything. No eye contact. He was using the BA SUBE transit card app that lets you add money to your account using NFC. He's nowhere near BA. He really ruined what could have been a positive experience. (Despite the high price)
Stewart C — Google review
Curanto is not just food is a unique experience: the tradition, technique, music and of course the amazing flavor of everything: beef, chicken, lamb and vegetables! Come early on Sundays and Wednesday to reserve a seat inside. It's worth it 👌
Oscar A — Google review
Very yummy Cuanto!!! Highly recommended Live music and very friendly staff
Diego R — Google review
You come to Victor not only for the meat, but for the experience. They add the meat and vegetables to the curantos around 12.30 and cover it with leaves, skins and earth. Then you can walk around Colonia Suisa for and hour or so, try the beer at Cerveceria Berlina. After they undercover the curantos you get to enjoy as much meat as you can eat. Chorizo, lam and veal én masse. There is usually live folk music towards the end. This is a highly enjoyable experience.
Mischa S — Google review
Very nice and different experience! the cooking style confers the meat and vegetables a unique flavor. The menu consists of five different dishes, and after that you can repeat something if you want. Dessert are included, but drinks aren't. it is not cheap, but worth it. There is also a guitar show along with the food
Quique — Google review
I am in vacation with some friends. The all experience was great. Victor was great. We enjoyed the show. In general all staff was fantastic.
Herberth A — Google review
Great traditional place. All you can eat is the only option offered. It is both a lunch and a show. The only bad thing is that you should plan your visit ahead, since it is only open on wensday and sunday, and if you don't book it is usually full.

Excellent place to get an amazing overview of Lago Gutierrez and surrounding areas. This place is TOTALLY WILD with almost no infrastructure: no gangways, no leaders, no sidewalks... no coffee store at the top! WILD, as most of the parks here. Nevertheless, this is an amazing place to visit, just because of the opposite: you have here ask the nature contact you need for a whole month! This place is not totally suitable for bringing kids because you have almost 2 kms (more than a mile) of wild trails, being most of them sloping upwards... and downward when returning!

The Bariloche Paleontological Museum is a fascinating destination for those interested in the region's natural history. The museum showcases a variety of regional fossils, including dinosaur skeletons that are hundreds of millions of years old. Visitors can explore exhibits featuring ancient artifacts and even a dinosaur egg. Although the museum is small, it offers well-organized displays and friendly hosts who provide insightful explanations about the exhibits. While some visitors note that the museum could be better maintained, many appreciate its intriguing collection and informative presentations.

Boat tour agency
CAU CAU - Isla Victoria y Bosque de Arrayanes is a must-visit destination for anyone in Bariloche. A catamaran ride from Puerto Panuelo takes you to Victoria Island, where guided excursions lead you through stunning trails surrounded by diverse flora and fauna. The island is home to native animals like Pudu pudu as well as exotic species such as red deer and golden pheasants.
We had a full and very enjoyable day with Caucau on the catamaran tour of Isla Victoria and the Arrayanes Peninsula. It was well organised, and we took the option of transport from the centre of Bariloche to thr launch point about half an hour away. Sebastian was our very capable guide for the day, and provided both very good at English and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna we saw on our two “land” tours. Food is available on the boat, and the trip across the lake and back was absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend

My wife and I recently did the Isla Victoria and Bosque de Arrayanes tour with Cau Cau and absolutely loved it. We want to give particular thanks to Melina, one of the tour guides, who walked with us especially throughout the tour to give us all of the information in English, and was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about the nature she was showing to us! She truly went above and beyond to give us an amazing experience. The tour itself is great, with lots of interesting information about the history and ecology of Victoria Island and Bariloche in general, and a stunning boat trip around the lake that had breathtaking views. Really recommend taking this tour if you are in the area.

My husband and I had a great time on our trip to Isla Victoria. Our tour guide, Melina, spoke wonderful English, answered all our questions, walked thru the island with us explaining all the history and then recommended restaurants for our next stop on our trip, Puerto Varas. Thank you for a memorable day!

The boat trip was well organised from the pick up and transfer by the bus to the port. While driving to the boat oir guide Melina gave us all necessary information about the tour, timelines, the history of the Island. Thanks Melina for paying equal attention to English speaking group members as i was told that all excursion is in Spanish) No, we also got the same portion of knowledge) Melina shared the history of origen of the botanical garden and the current aporoach. We had aporox 1 hour of free time for enjoying the meal at the beach or walking in the forest. The second part of the excursion to the National park I considered as a boat trip only as you can't see much walking 800m circule on wooden road. Our return was about 1 hour when you see all the nature, mountains ans seagulls around. Amazing!

We had an incredible experience with the Cau Cau tour to Isla Victoria and the Bosque de Arrayanes in March. This was a family trip for us, visiting from Florida, and it exceeded all our expectations. Our guide, Raul, was exceptional and ensured everyone in our group had a fantastic time. His attention to the needs of all the guests was commendable, particularly making sure that an elderly person in our group was comfortable and well taken care of. The boat was spotless, the snacks on board were delightful, and the tour was very punctual. All the bilingual tour guides were ready to answer any question, no matter how silly, especially from the kids in our group. We truly appreciated the passion and love that tour guides like Raul have for their work. We have been happy to share this wonderful experience with our friends and family in the U.S. We highly recommend the Cau Cau, Raul, and the entire team for this amazing tour. Thank you for a memorable adventure!

I'm sure the spanish speakers had a great trip too. People looked like they enjoyed it.

Best experience I’ve had staying in a hostal. I was traveling solo and spent the new year here. The atmosphere is extremely friendly and welcoming. I’ve stayed in a lot of hostels and not made nearly as many friends as I did here. The Argentinians treated me as if I was one of the them. The staff is extremely helpful with navigating Bariloche and surrounding areas. I made friends here that I intend to keep in touch with forever. If you’re looking for a clean, social hostel with an amazing atmosphere and great location then look no further. The ladies cleaning work tirelessly to ensure that the kitchen, common rooms, and bathrooms are all well maintained. There are guitars to play and I had more than a few jam sessions with strangers on my trip. The hostel somehow attracts the coolest and most generous people, so much was shared by even strangers. If you like silence, it’s probably not the place for you but if you’re social, this is the best option you can possibly find.

We rented a car here. The car (a renault clio) was quite new and drove well. This was by far the cheapest offer in town. Although a bit slow, the staff was friendly and 2 out of 3 spoke english very well. Great price/quality ratio. Thanks!

Pablo at Seven Lakes was amazing, he helped us arrange a car for a few days at very competitive rates compared to the big companies, and also some outings in Bariloche that were amazing. They also offer custom packages for people looking for something more bespoke, in both seasons. We visited during summer and did lots of hiking, the car was indispensable for getting around easily. Would easily go back!

Piedras Blancas is a winter wonderland offering a variety of activities for all ages. From ziplines and snow tubing to skiing and hiking, there's something for everyone. For the more adventurous, sports climbing below Cerro Otto provides stunning views of Nahuel Huapi and the surrounding mountains. While the park offers fun at lower prices than nearby ski resorts, visitors should be prepared for potentially expensive food and beverage costs on-site.
Good fun all day... once you managed to buy the entrance tickets and get all the necessary gear, all these might over an hour in line waiting. Safety measures are well run. The day we spent there it snowed, therefore, had more fun on every activity.

It's a lot of fun and the Bondiola sandwich was the best. The sledding is fun. However, it is very expensive and the lines are nuts. For a 3 minute ride, you wait about 45-60 minutes.

Paula A — Google review
Great winter park, especially for kids, offering lower prices than the prices of the Cerro Catedral ski center and having lots of fun riding the speedy "trineos" and ziplines. If it snows there days before your visit, you will enjoy all the tracks with a lot of ice. The only regrets are the expensive prices of food and beverages at the restaurant.
Adalberto G — Google review

Great fun multiple tracks for sledging. 20,000 pesos for entrance and six lifts up including the small sledges(trineos). Helmets goggles and boots extra if needed. Long queues to get in but mainly caused by people asking lots of questions. Don’t know why as the board beside the entrance tells you all the ticket prices. It was just over £20 each all included. We drove up. The road is a steep dirt track. Plenty of parking at the top but a bit muddy.

Visitors can admire engraved Tehuelche tablet stones, Aonikenk painted horse-hides, and unique items like playing cards made from guanaco skin.
Excellent option to get to know about Perito Moreno and prehistoric life in this area. Facilities for the handicapped and the visually impaired. English guides. The entrance fare is really low. The place is in perfect condition and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend this museum.

I really enjoyed this.  I have been travelling in Patagonia a while and this was a nice small museum.  A good introduction to the region, from its volcanic origins and archaeological sites to the wildlife that you may encounter. Would be good to do at the start of a trip. Some of the personal effects of Francisco P. Moreno (Argentinian explorer) are on display here.  I really enjoyed the section on the indigenous people of southern Argentina.  Information is in English as well.  It is a small museum.  Entrance fee was cheap.  I would allow one hour. Located in Centro Cívico Bariloche.

Visitors have described it as a beautiful and easy tour, with stunning viewpoints that offer picturesque photo opportunities.
Excellent way to spend the day, we did the circuit on ebikes which made everything easier. Parking, hills and taking in the sights. So easy. Multiple policía at the parking areas, plenty of restaurants, cervecerias, playas and miradors. Highly recommend.

Do not leave your car out of sight! We got robbed while we stepped out of our rental car. The robbers don't break the glass, just disengage the alarm and open the trunk. They specifically target foreigners with rental cars and are very fast. They don't look suspicious, seem to work in pairs. If you will stop for the view or take a picture, better to park somewhere where you can see your car anytime. Even if there are people around, do not trust. No one does anything even if they see robbery. Apparently there are many cases like this but local people do not want to share not to impact tourism.

Small venue, next to the house belonging to the couple who run it. The best meal we've found so far (in 10 days) in Argentina. Relatively inexpensive if you're from the USA and benefiting from the strong dollar exchange rate. We tried the appetizer sampler for two, with five different items, all delicious. The stuffed chicken and the lamb kabob were great, nicely presented. Good whole-wheat bread. The chocolate and lemon deserts were also excellent. We're likely to return soon.

Ice Bariloche is a unique gem located in the heart of the city, renowned for being the largest ice bar in South America. This extraordinary venue features stunning ice sculptures and maintains a chilly atmosphere at -3 degrees Celsius. However, there's no need to worry about the cold; upon entry, guests are provided with thermal layers and gloves to ensure comfort. Inside Ice Bariloche, patrons can enjoy drinks served in glasses made entirely of ice, adding an extra touch of novelty to their experience.
An excellent experience for all the Family and Friends here in the Patagonia region. I recommend it to everyone!

Interesting place, but I didn’t like a lot, I stayed there for just 30 minutes. There’s no much things to do there. And I didn’t like the drinks.
Eduardo P — Google review
Before going we checked the entrance price (including 1 consumption) in Google reviews, which a couple of months ago was 800 pesos. Later we read it was now 1500 pesos, which we thought was an incredible increase in such a short period of time, even for Argentina. Unfortunately at the door we found it was increased even further, to 1800 pesos per person. We also read you had to reserve but this turned out not to be the case. There was a bar outside the ice area that really lacked atmosphere and was not a nice place to be. Inside the "freezer" it looked quite nice and it wasn't extremely cold, but there was barely anyone there (due to a combination of high entrance price and the cold, I suspect) so it wasn't that fun to spend much time there. The drink that was included in the price was good and you had quite a lot of choices. But in the end I think we spent 15-20 minutes there which felt like a waste of money.
Heidi S — Google review
We went on a Monday night so obviously there weren't many people there. The bar itself is very interesting and cool ;) We received a hooded jacket and gloves, but we were glad to have our own warm jackets. The only real bad part were the mixed drinks. We all chose random mixed drinks and 2 of the 3 were almost unbearable, I would say cough syrup tastes better. I would go back on a weekend but would only order a beer just to be safe. The three of us could not figure out why the drinks were even on the menu because of how bad they were.

This outdoor sports store is a beautiful place with amazing views, and it has a great selection of gear for both hiking and skiing. It's a little more expensive than other stores, but the quality of the products is definitely worth it. The staff are extremely helpful, and they will go out of their way to help you find what you're looking for.

Tamar S — Google review
So overpriced. They charge 10k (~10usd) per day for poles. Also other stuff gets very expensive very quickly if renting for more than one day / more than one thing. Also the attitude of the servant when i commented that stuff was expensive was instead of being helpful just cocky as they know that there’s nowhere to buy some of the things so they can just charge whatever.
Sonja L — Google review
I do not recommend this store for renting trekking equipment. My husband and I had a terrible experience. We rented two pairs of trekking poles from this store and the equipment they gave us was in poor condition. The poles presented problems at the beginning of the trail because no one could open them. They were completely stuck. After many attempts and use of force, we managed to open them. When we arrived at the shelter, we saw that the rosettes on my husband's poles had come off and were lost along the way (which was terrible because we would be facing snow on the next day). On the second day of the trail, while we were descending a secondary peak of the mountain, on snowy terrain and crevasses, one of my husband's poles simply broke in half, causing him to fall. He was not hurt, but the equipment broke in a situation that should not have happened. Confirming our suspicions and the mountain guide’s suspicion that the equipment was in poor condition. As if all this were not enough, when we returned it to the store and explained what had happened and how it all happened, we were accused of having damaged the equipment. According to the attendant, the rosettes came loose and the trekking pole got stuck and (later) broke, all due to misuse on our part. They charged us a high fine and did not acknowledge any fault for the problem. We were 100% dissatisfied with the equipment we rented and even more so with the hostile way we were treated at the store. Luckily no one got hurt as a result of the bad equipment they gave us to climb the mountain. I believe there must be other better places in the city for this type of rental.

Terrible experience! We came to the store on a Friday to reserve two electric mountainbikes for a trip on Saturday. In the store they told us that on Saterday there would be snow and therefore it was not possible to use the bikes?! We did not make a problem from this and asked to reserve them for Sunday (this was going to be a great day). They told us that reserving the bikes was not needed so we could just come on Sunday to pick them up. Sunday morning we came to the store straight after opening and the guy was quite rude to us. He told us that we had to reserve the bikes one day beforehand in order to charge the battery. We asked if he could check if they were full. After a couple of minutes he comes back with another lousy excuse that it will rain today so we could not use the bikes (did not now that mountainbikes were made of sugar and melt during rain???). We showed him the weatherforecast which stated only 30% chance of rain but he rudely refused to rent us the bikes and showed us the way out. P.S. it was a beautiful day with only sun (picture below). We didn't see a raindrop at all. P.P.S. if you are looking for a good bike in Bariloche with excellent service --> do NOT go here but go to Jurassic Rental instead 😉
Siemen D — Google review
Rental equipment in terrible condition and completely overpriced. Unfortunately there are not many alternatives in Bariloche. Check your equipment precisely before leaving the store, if you find no other option than renting here.
Kristina — Google review
God-awful experience. This is only the 3rd review I've ever written and the 1st negative one but I feel compelled to. We rented some equipment to fish and before we knew it the costs had risen to over 50,000 per person. They charged us for two nights because they don't rent for only one day. Bizarre! The fishing rod broke inside the first 10 minutes and when we returned it and explained what had happened (I even had video evidence showing it to not be our fault whatsoever), they were not interested. They charged us 15,000 for "repairs". If anything, they should have been thanking us for exposing their low quality equipment. It's a pity because Argentina had proven themselves to be a very compassionate nation up until this point. The workers should feel ashamed. Go with alternative rental companies guys!! :)
JP K — Google review
I highly recommend NOT to believe when they say that their rented sleeping bag is 0°C! I rented one and it was summer, not cold at all!, yet I couldn't sleep cuz I was freezing. When I reported this back to the clerk they basically said nothing, I asked for the manager or someone I could speak to about it and they made me write my name and phone number to "get in touch with me", haven't heard from them since.

Experiencia Patacon by Lucho Remiro is a must-visit for those who want to immerse themselves in culture and enjoy delicious food. The place offers great atmosphere, friendly people, and amazing gourmet experiences. The portions are generous, the homemade liquors are a delightful surprise, and the staff members like Lauty and Pablo provide excellent service. Visitors can expect delicious food with unexpected but pleasant surprises, all served with warmth and kindness.
Absolutely what the Americans needed after landing in Bariloche. Great view, beer and food. Thank you Flor for the great service!

Had a great time! Delicious but big portions so be prepared - and some unexpected but great surprises in the form of homemade liquors at the end. Pablo was a wonderful server and we’d definitely recommend :)

What an amazing experience! The food was great. Drinks were the best I’ve had visiting Argentina and Pablo, our waiter was always helpful. He had a group of 20+ and he never missed a beat. The decor here was also worth the trip! Highly recommend!

Not sure if we just went on a off night but I was very disappointed in the food. I had this place marked as a go too. I am a steak lover!! After reading the reviews I was ready for an amazing steak dinner. I ordered the ribeye medium. It came medium well, which would have been fine. But the steak was not seasoned. I asked for some chimchurrie to eat it with some salt or flavor. We got it with the patacon fries which was fries with cheese and ham pieces. The cheese might have been melted at one time but by the time it got to the table it was just sitting in a clump in top of the fries. My partners tomahawk was cooked and seasoned well. Overall very over hyped. Food quality does not meet the price (20k +). Service and atmosphere beautiful. The inside is amazing.

Great food and service was great, Pablo was a great server. He remembered all our orders without needing to write them down and there were 12 of us, great menu suggestions from him and desert suggestions. Nice guy made the experience that much better, food was amazing, especially the deer offerings.

Great food. Great atmosphere. Great people! Complements to our server Lauty who made our night. He had delicious suggestions, great convo, and was very personable and friendly. Also an applause to the chef, Ricky, for his magical touch! Fully recommend this place for anyone who wants to have an unforgettable foodie adventure! Best gourmet experience in Bariloche so far! We will definitely come back!

Guests can indulge in breathtaking views of Nahuel Huapi Lake while enjoying delectable dining options or unwinding by the pool.
One of the best hotel I’ve been on. The location is perfect, with amazing views of playa Bonita in lake Huapi. The staff were so nice, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are luxurious with kinda old style, but it matches the environment and the views are unbeatable. The hotel has a really good restaurant, and the breakfast was amazing. From the hotel it’s really easy to go to circo chico to see the beautiful lakes of the area. Overall - highly recommended and I’ll definitely comeback

Stayed here for 3 nights in the master suite with Sauna. Overall a wonderful experience and probably one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in. The hotel is beautiful, with lovely gardens and old style mountain lodge character. located outside of town in a peaceful area where you can walk down along the beach and to some nearby venues. Also a good based for exploring and the staff were helpful with recommendations and guidance. Breakfast was pleasant, with beautiful views. staff were very helpful at all times and service was all round very good. as constructive criticism - the room itself, whilst huge and luxurious, needs some repairs and maintenance. we awoke to no power on 2 occasions and our shower/steam room needed a deep clean as it had some mold in it + limescale build-up int he shower heads.

I don't often take the time to write reviews but this place far exceeded our families expectations. Arriving during the tail end of the high season we were so very welcomed by the extremely service minded and kind front desk personnel. The location could not be more amazing with majestic views of the lake and mountains. The hotel is beautiful, rustic cabin like but with every comfort one would need, view, private spa, super spacious clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast is delicious nice and they have thought of every detail and so was dinner at their restaurant Stag, the best dining experience in Bariloche and we tried other restaurants aswell, this was top notch. We have 2 young kids aged 3 and 6 and the menu catered excellently to them aswell. The heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi was a huge relaxing touch and so was the private walk to access the lake. They are extremely service minded in this hotel and this comes from someone who has traveled a lot across the world and have high expectations on location/service/cleanliness/food. Look no further for your choice of hotel in Bariloche it does not get better than this we are completely relaxed and grateful and will certainly be back!

Nice hotel well located right on the edge of Lago Nahuel Huapi with amazing views. Quiet spot with good sized rooms. Breakfast is buffet style with a great selection and eggs cooked fresh to order. Staff are friendly too. I dropped a star as I wouldn’t call the hotel or the rooms luxury. They are nice enough but are in need of a bit of TLC and a refresh in places. Very comfortable bed though!

An absolutely wonderful hotel! Great location, the view is incredible, the rooms are cozy and spacious. Beds are comfy and our bathroom came with a sauna, steam room feature and jacuzzi. Alejandra at the front desk was super helpful for whatever we needed and we did a fun dinner at Little stag, their treehouse restaurant. The food was surprisingly high end. Highly recommend!

Canopy Bariloche offers a delightful excursion for lavender enthusiasts, featuring picturesque fields of the fragrant flowers and the opportunity to savor lavender-infused culinary delights while enjoying a scenic valley view. The adventure includes an exhilarating circuit of eight zip line sections set amidst the stunning Patagonian forest park, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.
We had an amazing canopy adventure near Colonia Suiza in Bariloche, and it was such a fun experience for the whole family! The guides were not only super nice but also sharp and focused when needed, which made us feel safe throughout the entire activity. They were also fantastic with Titi, our 5-year-old, making sure he felt included and had a great time, which we really appreciated. The zip lines themselves were exhilarating, and the beautiful forest views made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a fun and well-organized canopy adventure in the area, I highly recommend it!

(Translated by Google) The neighborhood is in theory one of the most exclusive in Bariloche, but the maintenance of the streets is terrible. The bungalows are nice, but you can hear absolutely everything from the floor next to you or above. The cleaning people are very rude, they answer you badly and don't even say hello. In theory, cleaning is every day with a change of linen, DSP they tell you every other day and DSP every three days. A disaster. We stayed 7 days of which there was no wifi for 3, terrible! It appears clean but the bathroom has dirt stains, there are spider webs in several areas. They clean very superficially! Is the place nice? Yeah! But all these things mean that we will not go again even by chance. (Translated by Google) Beautiful view and well equipped gray hair. Quiet place with country restaurants and activities. Likewise, it is essential to have a car to get around. With children it is preferable to stop in a place like this rather than a hotel. They have space to run and or go out to spread out as a family. In front of the country is Lake Gutierrez, you can also walk to a viewpoint, or get there by car. They have a heated pool; you must reserve the place for one hour per cabin. I uploaded a video of the interior of the cabins, they have TV, cable, coffee maker, kitchen items, refrigerator. The cabins, both for couples and those that are larger for families with children, are very comfortable. It would be good if they asked for a view of the mountains, not all of them have them. The prices are consistent. While cleaning is good, clean your coffee makers because it is overlooked. Otherwise highly recommended!! 👏 (Original) Hermosa vista y canas bien equipadas. Top notch guide service in San Carlos de Bariloche. Everything was incredible. Martin the owner was great. Excellent communication and very easy to work with. We did a full day float trip on Rio Limay and it did not disappoint. Our guide, Renzo, worked his butt off rowing in high water to put us on fish. I have been guiding in the United States for 10+ years and would recommend their services to anyone! Muchas gracias!

End of season fishing was below average but I had an amazing experience. Julian was fantastic - and I mean fantastic - as a teacher for TWO first time fly fishermen. He was infinitely patient with two complete beginners. After getting the hang of casting, my friend and I landed seven trout on the small side, which makes sense given the spooky nature of the trophy sized ones. It was lovely watching the kingfishers out fish us. Also, the lunch was amazing and very filling. Wear sunblock, a gaiter, and bring a hat. Definitely book at least 2 days in case one day is slow. I’d love to be back in the future, hopefully with more experience under my belt and better casting distance!

Great time floating the Limay in April! My wife and I did two guided days floating different sections of the river. The fishing was good and the guides were excellent. The gear was high quality and the guides were very prepared. Lunch was also amazing. Martin was very helpful and communicative through the whole booking process and was flexible with us when we requested a change based on weather. Five stars! We will be coming back for sure.

What an amazing fishing trip!! I spent three days with German, Lukas and Sebastian fishing some of the most pristine waters in the world. The scenery was incredible, the rivers were crystal clear and we managed to catch a great array of rainbow, brown and brook trout!! The guides are incredibly friendly and professional and I learned several new skills working with them. In addition to great fishing, the meals prepared by the guides along the way were by far the best I have ever had on a fishing trip - one lunch included phenomenal Argentinian steak grilled on a picturesque river bank with a great bottle of wine! Beyond the great days fishing, Martin is one of the easiest people to plan a fishing trip with. He was extraordinarily responsive, sometimes responding to my emails within minutes of me hitting send. He understood exactly what I wanted to achieve and put together an itinerary that included a great combination of different fly fishing experiences in a relatively short period of time.

My wife and I did 2 full days fishing with Martin and his crew. We had an AMAZING time and were able to enjoy the beauty of TWO great rivers, and caught some great fish. Trip details below: Day 1: Rio Manso We fished with guide Herman on a cataraft. Put in at Lago Steffen, and floated to the convergence with Rio Villegas. This river is gorgeous, with blue green water lined with Coihes, Lengas, and Cypress trees. This mountain river starts out slow with a few riffles, and then picks up speed in the last mile or so. We fished streamers; I'm not an expert but Herman gave me some great tips, and by the end of the day, my cast and strip had improved 10-times. Even with sub-par casting, I landed a monster brown within the first hour of fishing, and continued to catch smaller, but still great rainbows and browns throughout the day. Lunch was a grass-fed Argentine ribeye with a nice salad, and a wonderful bottle of Malbec. I've never eaten so good on the river. Day 2: Rio Limay, section 2 We fished this desert river with guide Lucas in a drift boat, and while we didn't think it could compete with Manso, we were mistaken. Thanks to the improved cast and strip I learned on Manso, we had hooked a nice rainbow within the first 30-minutes of our float on the Limay. While the fishing was a bit more challenging, the fish we caught were high quality, and we landed a monster 5-lb rainbow at the very end of the day...what a way to end a fishing trip! I must add that Lucas took the time to teach my wife a proper fly cast, and she made great strides and learned a ton thanks to his skill and patience. Lunch was Chicken and cream sauce with a cold cooked vegetable salad and....you guessed it, Malbec! Can't get enough personally. At the end of the day, I can't tell which river I liked better. They were both amazing, and beautiful in different way. If you have the opportunity, you should fish them both. Martin and his team are absolutely the best. I've fished with guides all over the world and these guys gave us the best experience yet.

Cruce Andino offers a charming journey that can be enjoyed at any time of the year, showcasing beautiful landscapes on both the Argentine and Chilean sides. The excursion is well-coordinated, with friendly and attentive guides throughout. Travelers stay one night in Pto Blest, where they can enjoy a small but well-attended hotel with stunning scenery.
Excellent experience. Our start in Bariloche was a bit confusing since several tours begin at the same time. Moderate physical effort is required to move between the buses and boats. There is some rough terrain to cover and a few step to navigate so it might be a challenge for people with mobility issues. Our guides were excellent and the views were amazing. The price is reasonable considering the logistics required to make the trip. Wish we could have stopped at the border to take photos.

The good: 1. The trip itself was beautiful, however it’s good to consider the whole experience really is dependent on the weather. 2. Had I not had a bad customer servicer experience, I think the value for the trip is good. 3. Being able to contact Cruce Andino via whatsapp at any moment is very convenient. 4. The tour guides for the most part showed passion about their job and I enjoyed hearing the history of the area along the trip. The bad: 1. Communication about transfers at Puerto Blest was poor, instructions given on the television don’t match what is on your printed or digital ticket. 2. The service at the Puerto Blest hotel restaurant was great, but the food was nothing impressive for the cost. 3. This is what really tarnished my experience. The night before my departure I came down with terrible food poisoning and was unable to take the trip. But no worries I thought, I paid extra for the flexible ticket in case something like this happened. I informed Cruce Andino about the situation and they said the only possible way of rescheduling is if I obtained a doctor's note, as to actually prove that I was sick. I spent what was supposed to be my recovery day walking from hospital to hospital in search of a doctor who could write me this note. The public free hospital was unable to do it. I resorted to a private hospital where I spent several hours and $300 USD to get an appointment and ultimately a doctors note. Cruce Andino displayed a complete disregard for my health and wellbeing, and ultimately why I am leaving a 3-star review.

(Translated by Google) Cruce Andino is a trip that requires planning, but offers spectacular views and a unique experience between Argentina and Chile. Organized by Turisur, the itinerary was well executed, with good service, but the long journey (from 8 am to 10 pm) can be tiring. It is essential to check the weather forecast, as sunny days enhance the landscapes of the mountain ranges, crystal clear waters and lush vegetation, especially in the summer. The journey includes several changes of transport (four buses and three boats), which requires careful planning when planning food and drinks. It is important to bring cash (local or Chilean/Argentine currency) for the boats and avoid the Blest restaurant, which is expensive and does not offer good food – an outdoor picnic is the best option. Be prepared to consume supplies before the Chilean border, where only processed products are allowed. With organization and good planning, it is a positive and enriching trip! É fundamental verificar a previsão do tempo, pois dias ensolarados realçam as paisagens das cordilheiras, águas cristalinas e vegetação exuberante, especialmente no verão.

Catedral Mountain School is a prominent winter resort located on the western side of a mountain in South America. It is known for its extensive facilities and top-notch services, making it a popular destination for tourists. Visitors have praised the school's excellent service and flexibility, particularly when dealing with unexpected weather conditions. The rental equipment is well-maintained, although some guests noted mixed experiences with the reception staff.

(Translated by Google) I don't recommend the school if you're traveling with a large group! We arrived early at the resort, just as the store was opening. However, the entire bureaucratic process of payment, equipment, and ticket purchase for Cerro Catedral meant we only arrived at the slopes for lessons at 2 p.m. In other words, we only skied for three hours. There were 12 of us, and there was only one person to pick up and put on the equipment. Also, at the time of payment, the attendant made a mistake by charging the amount for one of the families to my credit card without deducting the cash payment. They didn't offer to resolve the issue, stating that it wasn't their problem. If you're taking private lessons or for a maximum of four people, it might work; otherwise, they demonstrated a drastic lack of preparation for handling a large group, lacking resources, and lacking clear and accurate information. If you plan to take lessons at Cerro Catedral, look for a school closer to the slopes and better equipped, even if it's a little more expensive...
