Golf course
Miniature golf course
Nestled between Karon and Kata beach on the beach road, Dino Park Mini Golf & Restaurant offers an exciting evening filled with adventure. The 18-hole golf course is adorned with prehistoric-themed obstacles, life-size dinosaur models, and a thrilling exploding volcano that captivates visitors every 30 minutes. This family-friendly attraction also features a restaurant and bar designed with the famous cartoon Flintstone theme.
We travelled an hour or so to get to the park and we went there in the evening. We all had a fantastic time in the park. The scenery was great and we all had so much fun. All the holes were interesting and there was so much to see as we went round. We loved that the dinosaurs moved and we were so surprised when the volcano exploded. We had food and drinks in the restaurant afterwards. The restaurant also had great scenery and the staff were very attentive. Pretty much hotel prices which I expected. My daughter had the chicken and fries, a huge portion of chicken that looked delicious but was quite dry. The burger was great but the fries were overcooked and burnt. The staff were great and quickly moved us inside when it started to rain. Probably wouldn’t eat there again but would stop for drinks to enjoy the ambience after the golf.
Kirsty M — Google review
This was NOT what we expected. In a good way! This place is unreal. I grew up watching Jurassic Park and this really hit the mark. The animatronics are wild. While our little one was in awe of the dinosaurs and hitting the gold ball 200 times (we made sure he won) we adults were in awe of the logistics of how it all comes together. Worth going to, we went during the day but seems like it would be a vibe at night. You can’t take drinks in but there’s a themed bar you can go to at the end.
Andrew M — Google review
Dino Park Mini Golf is a great spot! The park is huge, and the moving, sound-making dinosaurs make the experience unforgettable. The mini golf course is a highlight, offering 18 unique and creative holes. It’s a perfect, secured activity for both couples and families with children. Highly recommend stopping here for a fun time.
Haitham A — Google review
The dinosaur-themed mini golf course provided a great experience. The varying difficulties presented on each hole added a good challenge. The dinosaur theme created an immersive and engaging experience; the creativity and effort put into the design were truly commendable. The overall experience was a perfect blend of fun and excitement for all ages. It was a memorable outing that I would happily revisit. The quality of the course and its execution made the experience better! Also, purchase tickets online as they are 490 THB compared to 790 THB at the entrance.
Chris H — Google review
This mini golf course was hands-down the best one we’ve ever been to! 🦖⛳ It was so much fun, and the attention to detail on the dinosaurs was incredible — they looked amazing and really brought the whole place to life. The restaurant was great too — we loved the atmosphere, the food was tasty, and it made for the perfect spot to relax after a few rounds. All around, we had a wonderful time here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for something fun and unique to do!
Brittany D — Google review
Nice place with good food, but it’s hard to find halal options here. For halal choices, it’s mainly vegetarian Pad Thai or grilled seafood. The atmosphere is lovely and worth a visit if you know what to order.”
Souad Y — Google review
Very nice place to visit with child. The mini golf around the park was a great idea. We enjoyed the restaurant as well. The prices are higher than the other places but the cocktails were good.
Valentina M — Google review
Place is very cool, golf itself quite nah. Too easy (definitely made for very kids), even though we are complete noobs we did each hole in 3-4 hits. Also it took us less than 30 mins to complete the full path.

Market
Kata Night Market is an outdoor marketplace located in the southwestern corner of Phuket, near Karon. It offers a laidback vibe with trendy bars, cozy cafes, and beachfront resorts. The market features food stands, fruits, vegetables, seafood, and a bar serving cocktails. Unlike some other night markets in Phuket, Kata Night Market has tall ceilings and more space between vendors and visitors to combat the warm climate.
Open daily from 11am, this market is a must visit if you're in Kata. The market was full of wonderful food and beverage stalls. Food was fresh and clean and I really liked that they had good Halal options. A small area designated for seating around the markets, as well as some clothing stores. You can easily bargain with them when buying clothes. Loved exploring through this area and trying a bunch of different food options!
Latte_scout — Google review
Yummy banana and Nutella roti that was crispy and generous in fillings (tho slightly on the higher side in terms of price) But overall - felt like a tourist trap having to haggle for prices of clothings. Would prefer Chillva where prices of items are clearly stated instead of having to haggle.
Ants P — Google review
We had some good foods at the Kata Night Market. Highly recommend the following vendors: Crispy Prawns, Coconut Ice Cream, Mr. Coconut Station. We had a bad experience with the Seafood Lovers. The price for the lobster was $2,000 Bahts for 1kg. We picked one, asked them to weight it. They said that they don’t weigh. They charge per lobster. The price for crabs was 4 for $500 bahts. They pick different sizes, mostly very small ones. Customers can’t pick. The cashier was the rude. Don’t waste your time at the Seafood Lovers.
Thắng L — Google review
By far the BEST night market in Phuket area! The food stalls are very clean with high standards, especially comparing to any other market in Phuket I got to visit. We tried quite a few options and everything was so delicious, while the prices were very low considering the quality of the food, so 10/10 value for money! I really recommend the gyoza stall where they not only fry them by order, but they actually fold them by hand right in front of you! Another hit was obviously the banana roti stand - warm and delicious, just melts in your mouth. Another one on the sweet side was the mango sticky rice stall, where you can choose the flavors of the rice out of 4 options - original white rice, blue butterfly pea flower rice, green pandan rice or red dragon fruit rice. Lastly, make sure to not skip the coconut ice cream stall! They carve the entire inside of coconut and add its flesh to vanilla ice cream, mix everything together and then return it to the coconut and use it as a bowl. You can then add your own toppings, unlimited! Literally there wasn't a single dish we tried and got disappointed, also when comparing to "real" Thai restaurants, which says a lot! If you're in Phuket area, make sure to visit this amazing market!!
Maya I — Google review
Kata Night Market (ตลาดนัดกะตะ) A lively and fun night market with great food options and a friendly vibe. You’ll find everything from grilled seafood, mango sticky rice, fresh fruit shakes, Thai snacks, and desserts—all at reasonable prices. The portions are good, and most stalls keep everything clean and fresh. There are also stalls selling clothes, souvenirs, bags, handmade crafts, and small accessories. It’s not too big, so you can explore the entire market in 30–45 minutes without feeling rushed. The vendors are warm and not pushy, which makes the experience more enjoyable. Perfect place to grab dinner, try local dishes, and pick up small gifts. A must-visit if you’re staying in Kata or nearby!
Deeksha N — Google review
We went there after a long day. We walked around the market. There are plenty of food stalls and kiosks. It started raining heavily when we were eating so we had to take cover under under the shades. The prices here are relatively cheap and you can find a big variety of stuff
Naim J — Google review
The food stall variety here is great. They are very clean with high standards, especially comparing to any other markets in Phuket. We tried quite a few options; steamed fish, gyoza, vegetables, noodles and mango sticky rice and everything was delicious. Prices were amazing, especially considering the quality of the food. 100% recommend.
Deeanngallagher — Google review
A must-visit for food lovers and culture seekers! The night market is bursting with energy, delicious aromas, and colorful stalls. From sizzling street food to unique local snacks, every bite was a treat. The variety of shops and vendors made it a perfect place to explore, bargain, and discover hidden gems

Outdoor Activities
Kata Noi Beach, a hidden gem on Phuket's southwest coast, offers an idyllic escape with its stunning white sands and crystal-clear aquamarine waters. Nestled in a serene bay just south of the bustling Karon Beach, this beach is perfect for families seeking relaxation away from the party scene of Patong. The 1.5 km stretch is lined with swaying palm trees that provide shade while vendors offer refreshing drinks and local snacks right at your fingertips.
Beautiful beach ⛱️ there where no swimming signs and it was choppy but it seems quite safe if you stay close. Not too crowded and very clean! Would 100% recommend
Laura R — Google review
It is a quiet enough beach, without a lot of entertainment venues. Most often people come to this beach, stay in a hotel and try not to go far away, enjoying a quiet vacation. The beach is small in size: its length is about 700 meters. In high season there are a lot of tourists here, but compared to the previous beaches: Kata and Karon, there is a place to stay! Kata Noi beach is quite a famous vacation spot among tourists. The flora here is made up of trees of mixed species, nevertheless, the beach is open enough to spread the sun's rays. Be sure to use high UV protection creams when sunbathing here. The sand here is soft, light gray in color. The entrance to the sea is medium deep. The water is clear, blue-green color! The wind in the high season is not strong. The bulk of vacationing tourists are concentrated at the hotels adjacent to the beach. The most gorgeous beach! So quiet, calm, peaceful. Perfect view, Turquoise water, located between the rocks. Amazing!
Alice O — Google review
Kata Noi Beach (หาดกะตะน้อย) One of the most peaceful and beautiful beaches in Phuket. The water is incredibly clear with a soft turquoise shade, and the sand is clean and smooth—perfect for relaxing or taking photos. It’s much quieter than Kata Beach, which makes it ideal if you want a calm and less crowded spot. There are a few local shops and cafés nearby, but the beach itself stays very natural. Waves can get a bit strong depending on the season, so it’s great for swimming when calm and fun for light surfing when waves pick up. Clean, scenic, and super relaxing. A must-visit if you’re in Phuket!
Deeksha N — Google review
Witnessing the sunset here is truly an unforgettable experience—arguably one of the best in the world. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky transforms into a breathtaking canvas of warm hues, creating a serene and almost magical atmosphere. The setting is peaceful and calming, offering the perfect moment for reflection or simply to unwind and take in the natural beauty. Whether you’re a photographer, a traveller seeking memorable views, or simply someone who appreciates nature’s wonders, this sunset is not to be missed.
Jaskarandeep R — Google review
Kata Noi Beach in Phuket is such a beautiful and relaxing place! The water is clear, the sand is soft, and it’s surrounded by lovely green hills. The waves are a bit bigger than at other beaches, which makes it even more fun to swim and play around. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the sun, take great photos, and just have a fun, relaxing day by the sea! 🌴☀️🌊
Arash A — Google review
The views from here were awesome and great place to relax, BUT like it's neighboring beaches, you're immediately greeted with so much rubbish. There's some parts that are less trashy than others. Even in the water, You'll be swimming with plastic bags. It's not just ropes or fishing lines, but general trash as well. I've seen toothbrushes and food packaging. There's no rinse off station and you'll have to pay to use the bathroom. Most of the beach is taken over by beach chairs that are for rent. Lifeguards are present in this location.
Jazz B — Google review
Nice beach , affordable seats price and you can find all kinds of drinks & snacks there , I didn’t check if there is any public restrooms available, but there is 1 issue I recommend don’t sit next to the Shore hotel because on the edge of the beach there is a smelly water coming from Inland.

The Big Buddha, officially known as "Phraphutthamingmongkhol-akenagakhiri Buddha," stands majestically at 45 meters tall atop Nakerd Mountain in Phuket. This stunning white marble statue is not only a significant religious site but also offers breathtaking panoramic views of the island, including Phuket Town and Chalong Bay. The journey to this iconic landmark is made easy with well-paved roads, despite some winding curves.
It is still closed when I am visiting it in July 2025. But the view near the Big Budha is really beautiful!!! And it is free. There is like a park for elephants. You can pay if you want to feed the elephants or ride the elephants. But it is better if you choose not to ride the elephants.
Ida S — Google review
**Visted last week, It was closed temporarily due to land slide** 🙏 A majestic 45 m white-marble statue offering stunning island views from Nakkerd Hill. 🌅 Peaceful, spiritual, and perfect for photos. It was raining and foggy, weather was Nice and it is partly uphill, so visit early or at sunset. 🛕 Dress modestly—shoulders and knees covered. Some areas may be restricted, but still worth a visit for the views and calm vibe.
Aman C — Google review
Even though The Big Buddha is currently closed, it’s still absolutely worth the visit — you can easily reach the parking area, which offers an astonishing panoramic view over the whole of Phuket, with a peaceful breeze and perfect photo spots. The road going up is also very pleasant, lined with small local businesses, cozy roadside cafés, and even a few elephant owners along the way, giving the whole trip a very authentic and charming local feel. You’ll also often find playful monkeys near the top, adding extra excitement to the experience 🐒🌿 A beautiful and memorable stop in Phuket!
Hakh82 — Google review
It is closed now a days for some work or renovation.. If you are going only to see the Budha then better don't visit.. Pls check before you go in future.. You can see view of city and beach from top.. Attaching few photos
Harsh R — Google review
The Big Buddha of Phuket is truly breathtaking. Sitting high on Nakkerd Hill and facing the ocean, the statue offers stunning panoramic views of the island and the Andaman Sea. The atmosphere is peaceful and spiritual — a perfect place for quiet reflection away from the busy beaches. The statue itself is impressive in size and beautifully crafted in white marble, shining brightly in the sunlight. A must-see landmark that captures both the beauty and serenity of Phuket.
Elena D — Google review
The temple is not accessible for the moment due to an earth slide. We drove up to site anyways where we got a look at the side of the Buddah. It has monkeys and chickens in the parking lot which were the better reason for taking pictures. On the way up to the temple is an elephant tourist attraction with baby elephants separated from their family, chained to the ground and fenced off. All elephants showed stereotypes. We didn't stop for that animal abuse of course, I'm just mentioning it as it outrages me to still see such places being visited and suppoted by ignorant tourists.
Pascale K — Google review
Rate for the scenery where you can get Phuket city view one side and ocean view the other. Pity that the way up to The Big Buddha is closed for renovation until further notice… which is unknown.
Lawan M — Google review
We couldn’t get all the way up to the Buddha because of a landslide, which was a bit of an anticlimax, but the view was nice and there were some funny monkeys messing with the visitors. Luckily, the girl with the slingshot was nearby

Previously Surf House, located near Kata Beach in Phuket, was a popular spot for surfers of all levels. Whether you were a beginner or an expert, the thrill of riding the waves and enjoying the afterparty with locals made it an unforgettable experience. The venue offered great food and drinks, with shower stations available for cleaning up after a day at the beach. Additionally, they provided surfing lessons and even hosted free ladies' surf sessions.
First time doing a surf, and all I could say is that it was such a fun experience for me. The price was quite high for locals, but it’s alright for this activity. Also, had a bottle of wine with my friend while we waited for our turns to do the surfing. There was also live music which I’m not a huge fan of. Overall, it was such a great time

Really disappointing you can't leave one Chang in the tap any more during happy hour. Been coming 6 weeks and was never a problem. Great decision 🤣

Amazing location just off the beach with great food, drinks and surfing lessons. We stayed here for a while and ordered one of the huge pizzas and a Chang tower. It had a great atmosphere and the staff were lovely.

Amazing lasagna! Beautiful decoration. Got a 1 for 1 beer promotion, however they serve it immediately, it doesn't stay cold even with the ice bucket so I'd recommend going with a friend 😆

Unprofessional and Unfair Experience – Very Disappointed Our group of 8 arrived at the surf house at 11:15, ready to go. We politely asked if we could start our session at 11:30, but the staff told us it was only possible to begin on the hour. So we waited until 12:00, assuming that was our only option. When we finally started at 12:00, it was just the 8 of us – which was fine – but between 12:15 and 12:25, the staff allowed *another* 8 people into the session. That meant we had to share the wave with double the amount of people for the majority of our paid hour, drastically cutting down on our time and experience. To make matters worse, only *after* we had waited 45 minutes were we told that it *is* possible to book 30-minute sessions. That information would have made a huge difference if we had known it earlier, but by then it was already too late. Overall, this felt poorly managed and unfair. The lack of clear communication and inconsistent policies negatively impacted our experience. If you're paying for a specific time slot, you expect it to be organized and respected. Sadly, this was not the case. I hope management seriously reviews how they handle scheduling and customer service – because no one wants to feel misled or shortchanged, especially in a group. --- Would you like a shorter version for posting as a public review (e.g. Google Reviews or TripAdvisor)?

Disappointing Experience at Surf House Kata – Not Tourist Friendly Anymore I rode my motorcycle to the Kata area of Phuket — a popular tourist spot I’ve visited many times over the years. I decided to stop at Surf House, a place I’ve been to multiple times and always enjoyed. I arrived, ordered a beer, and asked about the happy hour. The menu clearly stated a discount applies when ordering two beers, which I confirmed with the barman. He asked if I wanted both beers immediately — I said no, and ordered the second one about 10 minutes later from another staff member. I placed the second order in Thai — a language I’m confident enough in for something simple like ordering a drink. The staff member just gave me a blank look. I repeated my order, and he switched to English, asking if I wanted a beer. After handing it to me, I asked (again in Thai) if he had understood my order, and he suddenly started shouting, claiming he was just confirming my order in English. He was visibly angry and shouting loudly, which was completely unnecessary and uncomfortable. When I went to pay, the happy hour discount wasn’t applied. I was told by another staff member that my second drink “wasn’t a happy hour drink” — which makes no sense based on what was shown to me earlier and the timing of my order. Overall: extremely disappointing. What used to be a fun and relaxed spot now feels hostile and unfriendly to tourists. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning — and I can’t recommend it anymore.

Nestled in the heart of Phuket, Chaithararam Temple, also known as Wat Chalong, is a stunning temple complex that dates back to the early 19th century. This sacred site is adorned with intricate Buddha paintings and shimmering golden statues, surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens that invite tranquility. The temple holds significant historical importance for the local community, particularly due to its association with Luangpho Chaem—a revered monk known for his mastery in meditation and traditional medicine.
Wat Chalong is one of the most famous temples in Phuket and a must-visit tourist attraction. The temple complex is beautifully designed, with intricate details and traditional Thai architecture that instantly captures your attention. From the moment you enter, you can feel the cultural and spiritual significance of the place. One of the best things about Wat Chalong is how photogenic it is. The vibrant colors, detailed carvings, and grand structures make it a perfect spot for photography and videography. Whether you are capturing wide-angle shots of the temple grounds or focusing on the finer details of the statues and decorations, every corner offers a great backdrop. It’s equally beautiful during the day when the sunlight highlights the temple’s golden features, and in the evening when the atmosphere feels more serene. The temple grounds are spacious, allowing you to explore different buildings and statues at your own pace. You’ll often see visitors taking pictures, families walking around, and travelers simply soaking in the spiritual ambiance. Despite being popular, it maintains a calm and respectful environment, which adds to the overall experience. Since it’s a well-known tourist spot, it can get busy, especially during peak hours. However, the sheer beauty of the architecture and the peaceful feeling make it worth the visit. Overall, Wat Chalong is not just a spiritual landmark but also a wonderful location for photography and videography. If you’re in Phuket, this is definitely one of the top attractions you shouldn’t miss.

Beautiful and Peaceful Temple in Phuket Wat Chalong is truly one of the most beautiful and spiritually calming places in Phuket. The temple grounds are very clean and well-maintained, with stunning architecture and intricate details that reflect true Thai craftsmanship. The atmosphere is peaceful, even though it can get busy with visitors—there’s still a strong sense of serenity and respect throughout the area. The main pagoda (Chedi) is impressive and offers a wonderful view from the upper floor. Inside, you can see relics of the Buddha and many fascinating murals that tell stories from his life. It’s a great place to learn more about Thai culture and Buddhism, whether you’re a believer or simply curious. Remember to dress modestly and remove your shoes before entering the temples—it’s a sign of respect. Overall, Wat Chalong is a must-visit if you’re in Phuket. It’s not just a tourist spot but also a meaningful cultural and spiritual experience.

A Peaceful and Spiritual Gem in Phuket Wat Chalong is one of the most beautiful and well-maintained temples in Phuket. The temple complex is grand yet peaceful, with stunning architecture, colorful decorations, and intricate details that reflect Thai culture and spirituality. The main pagoda is especially impressive — it houses a relic of the Buddha and offers a lovely view from the top. Even though it’s a popular tourist spot, the atmosphere remains calm and respectful. The grounds are clean, the gardens are well-kept, and there are monks around offering blessings. It’s a great place to learn about local traditions, take beautiful photos, and spend a quiet moment away from the busy beaches. Definitely a must-visit attraction when you’re in Phuket!

We visited Wat Chalong Temple on 1st October as part of a city sightseeing tour with our family (2 adults and 2 kids). The temple was one of the highlights of our trip. The entire premises were very clean and well maintained, with beautiful architecture and peaceful surroundings. Wat Chalong is one of the most respected temples in Phuket and holds great importance in Thai culture. It’s dedicated to two highly revered monks, Luang Pho Cham and Luang Pho Chuang, who played a key role in helping local people during the 19th-century rebellion. Their images are still worshipped here, and many locals visit to seek blessings for good health and peace. There are some shops inside the temple compound where you can buy souvenirs and local handicrafts at reasonable prices. Even our kids enjoyed exploring the temple grounds and the market area. Overall, Wat Chalong offers a blend of history, spirituality, and calm—definitely worth visiting when in Phuket. No charges for visiting this awesome place.
Pankaj A — Google review
This place has really great view and the surroundings is also calm and quiet. Inside it has paintings of stories of King Siddharth becoming Buddha but in thai. Idols are also beautiful but some are not understandable. The view from the window is so scenic. Good place to relax your mind ..

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wat Chalong is a truly remarkable temple and a must-visit in Phuket. The moment you step inside, you feel a sense of peace and positive energy. Its intricate architecture, golden Buddha statues, and colorful murals beautifully reflect Thai faith and culture. The temple grounds are spacious, clean, and inviting — perfect for quiet reflection, prayer, or making merit. Locals are kind and welcoming, making the experience even more meaningful. Whether you’re returning an amulet, lighting incense, or simply admiring the artistry, Wat Chalong radiates serenity and devotion. A deeply spiritual and memorable visit.

Of all of them, Wat Chalong is the largest and perhaps the most revered temple. Located eight kilometers outside Phuket Town, the temple sits, awaiting your arrival to discover its magnificence both spiritually and architecturally. The temple is renowned for its stunning architecture, which features intricate decorations and multiple pagodas. It is dedicated to two highly revered monks, Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang, who were instrumental in healing locals during a 19th-century rebellion. The temple's grand pagoda houses a sacred relic, a fragment of bone from the Buddha. Visitors are expected to dress modestly and remove their shoes before entering the temple buildings.
Dark M — Google review
Wat Chalong is one of the most beautiful and important temples in Phuket. There’s convenient parking available just before the temple area, making it easy to visit. Visitors should dress modestly — shoulders and knees should be covered — as it’s an active place of worship. The temple grounds are peaceful and beautifully decorated, offering a truly pleasant and spiritual experience. It is free to visit as well! :)

Nestled just south of Kata Noi Beach, this popular spot allows visitors to gaze upon three beautiful bays: Kata Noi, Kata, and Karon. The viewpoint is particularly enchanting at dusk when the sky transforms into vibrant hues of pink and red.

We visited Karon Viewpoint on 1st October as part of a city sightseeing tour with our family (2 adults and 2 kids). It was one of the most scenic stops on our trip. From the top, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of Phuket’s famous beaches — Patong, Karon, and Kata — lined up beautifully along the coastline. On the opposite side, you can also spot the majestic Big Buddha sitting atop Nakkerd Hill, which makes the view even more impressive. Historically known as *Three Beaches Hill* or *Kata Viewpoint*, this spot has long been a popular stop for both locals and tourists to admire Phuket’s natural beauty. It’s an important landmark because it perfectly captures the island’s charm — the mix of green hills, turquoise waters, and golden beaches in one frame. The place is well maintained, with viewing platforms and shaded areas to relax and take photos. Our kids loved the open space and the fresh breeze at the top. Overall, Karon Viewpoint is a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience the best of Phuket’s landscape and enjoy a bit of peace away from the busy beaches.

The Karon Viewpoint Thai name is Kho Sam Haad, which means ‘The Hill of the Three Beaches’, and once we reached the place, just as promised, we saw three beaches. So, if this is your first trip to Phuket, you probably will stop for a few minutes at this popular and beautiful panoramic landmark to admire the view from the top of the hill. The closest and smallest one is Kata Noi Beach. A bit further, we could see the beautiful Kata Beach with its island ‘Koh Poo’, which means Crab Island, and far, we could also spot the very long beach of Karon.

Beautiful view. Plenty of spots to take photos. However, it is a bit of a tourist trap, but it’s not obnoxious. You can find some spots to sit down and just take it in without being bombarded with people trying to sell you stuff.

Breath taking sunset.....so so marvellous and beautiful. Do visit this place 30 minutes before sunset to get a good spot on the viewpoint. Overall have a lot of space to sit around and take photos too.

Karon Viewpoint, also known as Three Bays Viewpoint, is a must-visit spot in Phuket, Thailand. It offers a breathtaking panoramic view of three stunning bays: Kata Noi, Kata Yai, and Karon. The scenery is absolutely mesmerizing, with the turquoise waters meeting the golden sands and lush greenery. The viewpoint is easily accessible, making it a popular destination for tourists. You can take some fantastic photos here, especially during sunrise or sunset when the light is at its best. The viewpoint itself is well-maintained, with clear signs and information about the area. However, the natural beauty of this place is something we must protect. To preserve the beauty of Karon Viewpoint, it's crucial to practice responsible tourism. Always dispose of your trash properly in designated bins. Avoid littering and consider bringing your own reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste. By taking these simple steps, we can all contribute to keeping this beautiful spot pristine for future generations. Welcome 🤗

Walk around 2.5 kilometres, and the road gradually inclines as you near Karon Viewpoint. Just a short distance uphill from Karon town, Karon Viewpoint is one of the must-visit spots on this side of the island. From this famous lookout, you’ll be treated to a sweeping vista of the cove with three beaches, Kata Noi, Kata, and Karon. The beautiful view makes an excellent backdrop for PHOTOS. We went there by car so didn't had to walk. Have a parking lot just in the entrance.

Karon Viewpoint is absolutely worth a stop — I highly recommend staying for a while to soak in the stunning panoramic scenery and capture some truly unique photos 😊 The trio of beaches lined up below, the vibrant colors of the sea, and the peaceful breeze make it one of the most memorable spots in Phuket, so don’t rush your visit and enjoy every moment

Located at the southern end of picturesque Kata Yai Beach, Ska Bar & Kata Seafood Restaurant offers a laid-back and unpretentious atmosphere that stands out from the upscale dining options in Phuket. The restaurant's wooden design and reggae vibe perfectly complement the beach setting. With its welcoming ambiance and an impressive century-old tree as its centerpiece, Ska Bar provides a refreshing alternative to the trendy rooftop bars and beach clubs in the area.
Superb 👌 Came here for dinner in March 25 with the hubby and teenagers (on holiday from NZ). Saw this place on a YouTube video and put it on our to do list and did not disappoint! We wandered along the beach to the restaurant at dusk which I highly recommend. Restaurant was very busy but we were directed to a table and staff were friendly. Food came out quickly and was delicious 😋 not to mention great value. Awesome location right on the beach ⛱️ Would like to come again during day time. We will definitely come back when we are in Phuket same time next year. Highly recommend 🇹🇭❤️

We went a few times. Was such a chilled back atmosphere. Great spot for watching the waves and chilling. You can smoke weed if that's something you want to do. They sell it as well. It's linked to the seafood restaurant so you can also sit in the bar part and ask to order snack food from restaurant. We had a pizza and it was nice enough. But it's more the chill vibe, good service and friendly atmosphere id recommend it for.

Ska Bar is conveniently located right by Kata Beach and has a super relaxed, beachy atmosphere. Reggae music played in the background, twinkle lights were strung up all around — it’s a really cute setup that feels effortlessly cool. We were seated straight away, didn’t have to wait long for food, and everything was surprisingly affordable — one of my dishes was just 80 baht! The food was tasty, and being a semi-outdoor space, it was perfect even though I came in a bit sandy from the beach. A great casual spot to unwind after the ocean.

It's a amazing place. Some of the food items are very large. Huge menu to choose from. Prices are nice. Smoothie 60 baht, chang 100/140 baht. This establishment puts on a faer show every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at 9pm. We recommend it, it's WOW.

🇹🇭 Ska Bar & Kata Seafood is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience that fulfills all your senses. Here, you'll truly experience the beauty of nature. The restaurant is located on Kata Beach, allowing you to dine while overlooking the endless blue sea. The gentle sea breeze creates a relaxing atmosphere. Besides the beautiful sea views, you can also see the majestic mountains and the magnificent Big Buddha not far away. Eating delicious food while enjoying such a beautiful view is a happiness you'll fall in love with. The food here is also second to none. The fresh seafood menu is prepared with bold flavors that will surely satisfy Thai taste buds. If you're looking for a restaurant that's both delicious and has a beautiful view, Ska Bar & Kata Seafood is an option you shouldn't miss.😘

The SKA bar food was pretty decent. I thought the Papaya salad was seasoned well with a good balance of sweet and sour. Tom yum soup lacked the sour so we added more limes. They accept credit card and don't charge a surcharge. Total meal was 1320 baht. They play reggae music in the background which was a chill vibe. We saw a spectacular Sunday night fire show, there is none other like it. Athletic performers putting on a wonderful show.

4 for dinner and we have had lunch there previously, it is over hyped. The best thing is the location, the food is ok and is the same quality as you would get in the food market. Service ok at best nothing to rave about however the atmosphere and location is good , disappointed that the fire show wasn’t on as that is what we had gone down for but when asked the staff - no not on tonight, a German couple we met was also waiting and left disappointed. All in All it’s ok but it definitely doesn’t live up to the hype

Thai restaurant
Kampong Kata Hill Thai & Seafood Restaurant is a beautifully decorated and well-designed restaurant with a cozy and quiet atmosphere. The food is delicious, and the staff provides good service. While some cocktails may be strong, the overall dining experience is highly recommended. The menu offers a variety of tasty dishes, including tom yum goong, crab spring rolls, and green curry. Additionally, the restaurant's clean and beautiful restrooms add to its appeal.
What an absolute gem. Meticulously maintained with loads of Thai and religious decor. Very clean establishment with a rich history. The staff take pride in their tasks while serving you, this results in excellent service. The food is spot on that what is shown on menu and cooked perfectly to Thai quizzine standard. Should you regard yourself a a bit on a connoisseur make time and spend it here. Wonderful ambiance, excellent service, delectable food, we will definitely return.
ICX I — Google review
The food tasted really good, particularly if you can handle spice! My friend enjoyed her shrimp with noodles and my wife the amazing tom kha gai (very creamy), good potato salad and fried rice. My chicken tom yum was pretty good and beef red curry a very good flavour that left my mouth on absolute fire (I can handle spice well, but it also may not bother some people). The atmosphere was amazing with the friendly staff, very detailed decor inside and leading up to both entrances of the building and the relaxing Chinese music was very peaceful making us want to sit and enjoy the restaurant for longer. There were just a few things affecting my rating. I ordered a Singh beer off the menu and they only had Chang. I asked for something milk based to help with the spice and they recommended an apple shake which I assumed must be made with milk, but it was just a bit of juice in a lot of ice and didn’t help at all. The server brought out the wrong soup to start, but they replaced it quickly without an issue. My rice was much too small for the curry so a lot of that hot curry sauce went uneaten. It was also quite an expensive place to eat and we were really only paying that for the atmosphere, so if you don’t care about atmosphere, it’s probably not your place. But the food was good, the atmosphere great and the staff friendly, so plenty of food there too!

Beautiful authentic interior, large restaurant. Food - some dishes more successful, some less so. Soup portions are S, M and L. S is a regular portion like everywhere else. The others are doubled.
Alex E — Google review
Great restaurant, very well decorated. Has a nice overall vibe. The food is delicious and the service is good as well. The reason for the one missing star is that our cocktails were undrinkable - there were way too much alcohol in them. You could sure get a cheap buzz from their drinks.
Marcus M — Google review
The pictures on the reviews here looks better than they actually tasted. Felt the reviews were overrated after trying the food. I’m the only Asian here, and after tasting I could understand why. It’s not really authentic Thai food. It’s catered to foreigners taste (especially lots of Russian here). Pad Thai was too sweet. Papaya salad was too salty. Nothing to wow on crab spring rolls. The service was excellent tho, but food wise, I wouldn’t come again.
Alicia — Google review
Went here because reviews seemed pretty good, but overall I feel like it's overrated. The service is mostly great, but at times slightly awkward (not sure if some staff was in training). The food is not as good as it looks in the photos, we've had much better authentic Thai food from little food stalls delivered by GRAB food. Thought to try the crab spring rolls, but they were underwhelming, the papaya salad was unusually too salty, the pad Thai was too sweet and almost no taste. Only the whole steamed fish was good quality fresh fish. And 100baht for a young coconut, that's crazy expensive. We can get two better Thai young coconuts for that price in Singapore! It's also at the top of a small hill, so the hike isn't the most practical if you have a baby stroller.

Nestled within the luxurious Kata Rocks Resort in Phuket, The Kata Rocks Clubhouse is a renowned dining venue that offers a blend of Mediterranean and Thai cuisine. With its all-white Greek-inspired ambiance and stunning oceanfront views, this poolside restaurant provides an exquisite culinary experience. The menu features seasonally inspired Mediterranean dishes with regional gourmet touches and a Spanish flair.
Beautiful location overlooking the sea. High end western prices but view and service worth every penny. Treat yourself to this amazing experience

Was expecting great food & service for the amount paid. But unfortunately it was a disappointment. Really need to look into your food quality Kata Rocks. Reduce your minimum spends or increase the quality of your food. Dry & tasteless pizza 0/10 Factory tasting super spicy crab cake 1/10 Lobster spaghetti...poor taste 2/10 Scallops see for yourself 0/10 The pool also overrun with loud annoying young men ratio 20 to 1 to ladies. Maybe you should consider couples only day use. Service slow, not on par for 5 star hotel with these room rates. View & pool/ facilities cleanliness saved the day for the 2 stars. Also no DJ all day (so far at 4pm) and day use guests playing annoying music on their personal speakers. Not recommended
Kyriako Z — Google review
I recently had dinner at the restaurant in Kata Rocks and, although the setting was undeniably beautiful, the overall experience didn’t quite meet my expectations. The view is spectacular, especially at sunset, but the atmosphere felt a little too formal and distant for a seaside venue. I was hoping for something that felt more relaxed and connected to the Phuket island spirit. The menu presentation was elegant, yet I found the food somewhat overdesigned — technically refined, but missing the warmth and flavor that make dining memorable. The dishes looked impressive, but the taste didn’t stand out compared to many other restaurants in Phuket, even those at a lower price point. The service was polite and efficient, but I felt the staff were more focused on maintaining a luxury image than creating a welcoming dining experience. It was all very professional, yet I missed a genuine sense of hospitality. For me, it felt a bit more like dining in a design hotel rather than enjoying a relaxed meal by the sea. Prices were on the higher end, which would have been fine if the experience had matched the expectation. Unfortunately, I left feeling that the meal was beautiful to look at, but emotionally flat — a bit like the setting itself: stunning, but lacking warmth. Overall, it’s a lovely place to visit once for the view, but not somewhere I’d return for the food alone. It’s perfect for those who value presentation and aesthetics above all else, but personally, I prefer restaurants with a bit more soul, flavor, and local charm.

If you are looking for a pool brunch with great view, here is the answer. Sashimi and Lobsters are fresh and many foods look great, unfortunately I could eat just a bit 😆 However, steak sauce is quite disappoint for me that the taste if ketchup that mixed for a sauce too strong 🥹 Staffs all have great Service mind. Come back for sure if I have time 😁

Amazing experience! We started our journey with a fun golf cart trip to the restaurant and when we get there the view was incredible! The whole restaurant is beautiful all cover in white, service was simply perfect and the food was great! One of the best customer service experience that I’ve ever had. I’ve been working in the hospitality industry for more than 5 years and I really appreciate this kind of service because I know how hard it is to be that attentive to a table, even the GM approached to our table to ask how everything was going. Simply perfect! 10/10
Jocka — Google review
The service was spectacular and the food very flavorful. The view during sunset is amazing and in the evening the light of the pool makes a great environment. The wine list is not the best but the food is very good. If you come with your car, they will park for you and take you to the restaurant with a small golf car. I definitely recommend the place.
Gabriela F — Google review
Kata Rocks is tailor made for perfect photos, even in the rain. The lighting, lines and aesthetics are done with a photographer’s eye. And it doesn’t hurt that the cuisine at least matches the atmosphere. Very tasty, sophisticated and beautifully presented. And the staff is first rate too. The hotel may be pricey and the luster may be a little dimmer than when it first opened, but the Clubhouse restaurant doesn’t disappoint. This is another level of cuisine that what you’ll find elsewhere. And did I mention that the staff is super friendly and accommodating? They’ll take you by buggy back to the main road too. Well worth the visit.

Phuket Surfing at Kata Beach is a popular activity, especially during the low season from June to November. The south end of the beach offers great waves for beginners to learn how to surf. Surfboards are readily available for rent along the beach, and surfing lessons are also offered. The instructors are highly praised for their friendliness, patience, and effectiveness in teaching beginners how to surf.
Highly RECOMMEND!!! Good customer experience since 1st call, easy booking, Professional but friendly and generous. They have strong passion in surfing! Focus more on customers' benefits than taking their money. It's my first surfing ever and Mr.Wang (Thai) can make me to be able to stand up on the board and control the balance until to the beach in 30 mins! He has exceptional skills in teaching!! He's calm, kind and he is very polite and has professional manner!Impressive! No touching body except when necessary (feet or ankle). He suggests me every falls for improvement. He has the great services mind and know how to encourage the newbie. I feel safe and super fun surfing with him. He has very long experience in surfing and can teach in English (fluent) and Chinese (basic). Also, the European manager is nice and thoughtful. I wanna book 1.5 hours but he suggests me to try 1 hour firstly then can pay for the rest if I wanna continue because mostly people get tired in 1 hour. Two Chefs Kata Beach is a lively and vibrant restaurant offering a diverse menu of international dishes, including pasta, pizza, steaks, and burgers. The colorful decor and live music create a fun and casual atmosphere for diners to enjoy. It's known for its amazing food, delicious cocktails, and live entertainment. While it may be slightly pricier than other options in Phuket, the quality of the meat and cocktails along with the lively ambiance make it worth the cost.
Four of us had dinner here and all four raved about how good the food was , every dish hit the mark and one of the four is a chef back in Oz and said the pulled pork tacos was the best he has had. The food was bang on , service was great, very attentive and they had a live music by a duo. Met the Swedish owner on the way ou a lovely, friendly guy

May 16th - Contracted severe food poisoning due to, what I believe was old, decayed pork meat ribs. The first set of ribs tasted weird, but was slothered with a strange overpowering bbq sauce. The second set had a different taste, but totally dried out as can be probably seen in picture. The chicken was totally overcooked and dry and was certainly not edible, maybe stale. The fries were tasty, but the best was their salad. Not worth the promo price! And my birthday lunch became a nightmarish memory. I can't recommend this venue. I question their food safety protocols and save handing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ (4/5) Two Chefs Kata Beach offers a lively dining experience just a short stroll from the beach. The atmosphere is casual and fun, often accompanied by live music that adds to the upbeat vibe – perfect for a relaxed evening out. The menu is impressively broad, combining Thai classics with international comfort food like burgers, steaks, and pasta. We tried both Thai and Western dishes, and while the Thai food was flavorful and authentic, some of the international dishes (like the pizza) could have been a bit fresher. Still, everything was well-presented and the portions were generous. The service was friendly and attentive, with staff speaking good English and always ready to help with recommendations. Prices are a little above local spots, but fair for the quality and location. Overall, a great place to enjoy good food and live entertainment in Kata Beach. Especially nice if you’re looking for a mix of Thai cuisine and Western favorites.

Food was lovely, very tasty. We had a beautiful whole fish and presentation and taste was great. Staff extremely friendly and efficient. Fantastic view and atmosphere

This is one of restaurants that you should visit. It is a very nice restaurant and cafe with so beautiful views of the Adaman sea. They have various choices of seafood and Thai local foods. The food price is reasonable and tourism price. I recommend you to stop at here for a short time. The staff are so friendly and kind. Their service is impressive and fast.

Phenomenal! Cannot recommend enough, for me the meal I just had there was perfect. Service was spot on, food was lovely and the setting is amazing! The Bob Marley theme stops at the music and decor unfortunately but there's a bar across the road and up a hill you can blaze afterwards. Perfect

Nice hilltop located at south of kata beach. Too bad, i came not only for hilltop sunset but reggae. No music at all. Not even thai. Where is my Bab Marley?! Ok, here is the following story, i saw the staffs uniform with Bob Marley head at the back. I couldn't resist and ask, why no reggae music? Do they sell the staff uniform?? The answer is yes! They immediately turned on the music & showed me all colours for Polo & T shirt for 350 baht. Well, i grabbed myself one! Best shopping experience ever!

Nestled in a lush setting, Phuket Bird Park is a spacious animal park showcasing a wide variety of colorful bird species. Visitors can enjoy regular bird shows and close-up encounters with the local avian population. Covering 12 acres of gardens and habitats, the park is home to over 100 different bird variations, offering an immersive experience in the world of birds.
It's a beautiful park, lots of greenery. Like in the jungle. Saves you from the sun. Very beautiful birds. The park is well maintained. Recommended visit. Adult ticket 500 baht
Nikita S — Google review
This is close to Wat Chalong Temple so you can do both in an afternoon. There were limited species of birds. Mostly hornbills, parrots, peacocks and chickens. There are a few farm animals that children can buy food to feed them for 50 baht. This is not appropriate for people with mobility issues because there’s a steep hill to get to the bird show. We skipped the bird show. The souvenir shop is similar to a charity shop in the states. They don’t carry items like mementos of the park but a mishmash of unrelated things. The bird show is part of the admission price. It would be appropriate for small children but the park could do with a serious upgrade.
Cynthia F — Google review
Absolutely not worth the money. We paid 1,500 baht and were done in 10 minutes. They charged full price for a child, and inside, the only animals were chickens, roosters, two crocodiles, an ostrich, and a few toucans—nothing remotely exotic. It was a pitiful experience. The show was loud and chaotic—blaring techno music like a nightclub, with a host shouting over it. It felt extremely stressful for the birds, who seemed to perform only for food. The cages were tiny, poorly maintained, and the smell was unbearable in places. What bothered us most was the constant upselling—pay for food, pay to feed crocodiles, pay for a photo. Even during the show, kids were asked to hold up 100 baht so a bird could "steal" it. Everything felt like a money grab. The only positives were the friendly staff and nice surroundings, but that doesn't justify the high price.

budget-friendly option for a few hours of fun, especially for families. It's not huge, but it's well-maintained and offers a close-up look at many beautiful species. Tip: Plan Your Visit Around the Bird Show! The absolute highlight is the Bird Show.😸😸😁😁

It's a beautiful place. There are many different birds, an entertaining show, and a petting zoo. You should definitely buy animal food there—it's so much fun to feed the animals. In the park, you can feed various goats, an ostrich, and different parrots—the animals come right up to you. Be sure to see the show. You can also take a photo with the big parrots for 100 baht, but we took tons of pictures while feeding the animals, which was even more fun for us. It's an unforgettable experience. Don't hesitate to spend 100 baht on food for the animals—they are wonderful.

Here’s a polished review for Phuket Bird Park (200+ words) written in a natural, human style: ⸻ Visiting Phuket Bird Park was one of the most memorable experiences during my time in Thailand. Nestled in a lush, tropical environment, the park offers a perfect blend of entertainment, education, and relaxation. From the moment you walk in, you are surrounded by the sounds of nature—colorful parrots calling out, exotic birds fluttering above, and the peaceful setting of well-maintained gardens and shaded walkways. The highlight for me was the bird show, where beautifully trained macaws, hornbills, and eagles showcased their intelligence and skills. The trainers clearly have a strong bond with the birds, and the performances were both fun and impressive, especially when the parrots solved puzzles or flew gracefully over the audience. It was an exciting experience not only for children but also for adults who appreciate the beauty and intelligence of these creatures. What I also appreciated was the opportunity to get close to the birds. You can take photos with parrots perched on your arm or shoulder, making it a truly interactive visit. The park staff were friendly, helpful, and made sure visitors were comfortable and safe around the animals. Overall, Phuket Bird Park is more than just an attraction—it is a celebration of nature and wildlife. It’s a wonderful place for families, couples, or solo travelers who want to experience something unique and unforgettable in Phuket. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to add a touch of adventure and color to their trip.

Check the show times before coming as you could easily miss it and wait a while. There's extra opportunities to take pictures and feed the birds which are worth it.

KIRI burger & bowl, located in the vibrant Kata Beach area, is a popular spot offering a variety of delicious burgers and rice bowls. The cafe's trendy decor attracts both locals and tourists alike. Customers rave about the KIRI Signature Burger, featuring mouthwatering beef patties and a secret sauce. Visitors praise the warm hospitality of the staff and the inviting atmosphere. The menu includes vegetarian options prepared fresh upon request. While some find the interior okay, others appreciate its cozy ambiance.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Lovely food and great vibes! We had such a great experience here! The food was absolutely lovely — super fresh, full of flavour, and you can tell everything’s made with care. The place has a nice, cozy feel to it — perfect for a casual dinner or even a little date night. The staff were friendly and made sure everything was spot-on without being overbearing. SNOW is an amazing waitress, smiling and making sure everything is perfect. Definitely recommend this place if you’re after great food, good service, and a chill atmosphere. We will for sure be coming back!

Great atmosphere with good music. We got a table as soon as we got there. The food was awesome with good flavours and presentation on the plate. But there is always room for improvement to keep the restaurant's standards high and to keep attractIng customers. The restaurant is really nicely decorated and has a wide variety of food to choose from. Our waiter Mr Sut was fast and effective. Please keep it up, we will come back. Thanks you Vincent and Marielle.

The menu is large, but the food was delicious. I stuck with traditional thai food, pad see ew and pad Kra Pao. Both very enjoyable. My friend got one of their sandwiches and the bread and flavor were amazing as well. The portions are generous. Drinks were good (and strong). Everything was fair priced and our server Siam was a doll! He even gave us complimentary coconut cookies that were perfectly sweet and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and the restaurant is decorated beautifully. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is by Kata beach!

We went here many times for breakfast and lunch ! The food was sooo good, also the pizza’s. For the breakfast, Phisuth offered us special halal thaï food with rice and vegetables, macaroni and cheese, fruits and fresh water with ice because we were Muslims and we didn’t now if the buffet was halal or not. It was so generous that we couldn’t eat it all even tho we were 2. Thank you so much Phisuth, it was really nice to meet you and your food was really good ! We recommend you this restaurant at 100%. The food is good, the restaurant is clean and the personnel is kind (especially Phisut) 😁🇹🇭

Started off with the Chicken Snow Onion which was an appetizer but somehow was 3x as big as my main LOL I was shocked! Believe it or not there is fried chicken underneath what looks like two whole onions. The chicken was fried well though and honestly the onions and the sauce were pretty good with the chicken too. I left like half the onions on the plate tho bc that amount was crazyyyy. For the main I got the Thai BBQ Pork Burger on a Croissant Bun which was actually phenomenal. The meat was super tender and juicy, the BBQ flavor was tangy and sweet, the coleslaw was refreshing, and the crispy croissant bun really tied it together. The fries were too soft for my liking tho and couldve been better. To drink I had a Thai Tea Slushy which was FIREEEE. Need this every day for the rest of my life please.

Our server was Sai and she did a fantastic job tending to us and made us feel like home. The food was delicious. I recommend the 5 cheese pizza and the blueberry smoothie. We had an excellent time at Kiri and I'd definitely come back here during my next visit

Visited for dinner and was left underwhelmed. The menu is surprisingly extensive, covering multiple cuisines with an overwhelming number of items—which raised questions about whether dishes are made fresh or simply reheated frozen ready meals. The service was disappointingly slow. We waited a considerable time just to place our order, then waited even longer for our food to arrive. During our visit, we noticed several customers simply giving up and leaving due to the wait times. I ordered the tempeh burger, which unfortunately was quite bland and lacking in flavour. The fries tasted like standard frozen chips with little seasoning. The most frustrating aspect? A 5% service charge is automatically added to the bill despite their poor service quality. The one positive note, the food is safely prepared and edible, which does count for something in these parts. However, given the slow service, mediocre food quality, and the added service charge, I can't recommend KIRI.

Kata Beach Community Park is a serene and budget-friendly escape showcasing local Thai flora. It offers a clean and nice environment for jogging, with well-equipped facilities for staying active even on vacation. The park also hosts free Zumba dance classes daily, except Thursdays, providing a fun way to stay fit. Families with kids can enjoy the outdoor exercise playground and beautiful sunset views near the beach.
The surf Club is a great place to relax while taking a break from the ocean. They do have a surf machine to practice your surfing skills before hitting the water. Plenty of food options as well and bathrooms for changing etc

On the beach, there is a small but very spacious park, which will be interesting and useful for both adults and children, - here are wonderfully combined: sports simulators, playground with slides and swings, very convenient and comfortable gazebos with benches, - where you can relax from the heat and refresh yourself! On the territory of the park is a nice, soft lawn, a small number of tall palm trees, and it is located on one of the most popular beaches of Phuket - Kata. In the evening, after the heat subsides, a large number of Thais and foreigners go jogging and other active sports here. The clean, well-maintained park is a good place to come here in the evening after the heat has died down and spend time with your kids or friends doing some exercise! A peaceful green space right next to Kata Beach, Kata Beach Community Park is ideal for a short walk, relaxation, or enjoying sea views away from the main crowd. The park has a few benches, trees providing shade, and open areas where locals often gather in the evenings. It’s also a good spot for watching the sunset without standing directly on the sand. Clean and calm, it adds a nice local touch to the busy beachside area. Pros: Quiet and relaxing. Shady seating areas. Nice sunset view. Cons: Limited facilities. Small in size. Can get a bit crowded during evenings.

This is a beautiful beach but limited places to swim. Most of the beach is taken up by private hotels and exclusive restaurants. There is a playground, public shower, public restrooms, a sand bocce ball and life-sized chess board and beautifully kept grounds. We didn't stay and I didn't take photos.

The Big Buddha Art Cafe & Restaurant offers a stunning view of the beautiful Buddha and the surrounding area. Visitors can enjoy biking up and down the mountain, followed by a meal with an excellent view of the sunset. The prices are reasonable for Phuket, and guests are advised to dress appropriately to avoid extra charges at the entrance. Nestled along the picturesque Kata Beach, Club Med Phuket is a luxurious seafront resort that offers an all-inclusive experience with a range of activities for guests of all ages. This family-friendly destination features two restaurants, a bar, an outdoor pool, and a wellness center. The resort is renowned for its pioneering role in the all-inclusive industry and continues to be a popular choice for families seeking a stress-free vacation.
My family and I had the most wonderful stay at Club Med Phuket, and I can’t recommend it highly enough for families. We stayed in the newly launched Family Oasis rooms. The Family Oasis setup was exactly what we needed — spacious, comfortable, and designed with both parents and kids in mind (spacious with a large king, two awesome twin beds and privacy curtains), overlooking the terrific new splash park zone (while not being noisy at all!). It really made our holiday feel effortless and relaxing. The resort itself offers so much variety. From the pools to the beach, fitness classes to evening shows, there’s always something to do (the adults tried Muay Thai and Padel; the kids went for trapeze, archery and water play)— or a quiet corner if you’d rather just unwind with a drink or two ! There's always light bites being served at the bar area, and great mocktail options. The Mini Club, as always, was a highlight for us. The GO team were incredible — warm, attentive, and genuinely engaged with the children. Our kids loved every minute, which gave the adults the chance to enjoy some much-needed downtime/me-time. It’s rare to find a resort that balances activities, relaxation, and family-friendly amenities so well. Club Med Phuket delivered on all counts, and we left feeling recharged and already talking about when we can return to the next Club Med destination

In august we had a fantastic stay at Club Med in Phuket. We stayed in the newly opened family zone, which is a major upgrade. Even though construction work is going on in other parts of the resort, we never really noticed it. Other parts of the resort have been upgraded and you can really see that Club Med are investing in their new concept and it shows, facilities are top-notch. The new family zone is great for families on vacation, rooms are really designed with kids in mind and they will love the splash-park. The staff was absolutely amazing and did their utmost to make our stay great. I was able to talk to the chef de village on a couple of occasions and I found him very receptive of feedback on the resort as I had a few things that I felt could improve the place. (minor feedback items). The new dining area is great and also the staff was amazing. Our 5 year old son made friends with the head of F&B and he even showed up to wave us goodby at 07:00 on our departure day which was an amazing gesture and made our stay even better. On the point of the new dining area, the food was fantastic, different local cuisines and all of it was well prepared. I still think Club Med should upgrade their standard wine (they always go for the sweet Chardonay, I would love to see that they go for a good dry white wine, but that's personal preference). Our son did not have the best time at kids club, but that could have been because of a language barrier. I felt the groups maybe were a bit to big, but that is just a personal preference and maybe we are used to club med in the low season when there are less kids. On the other hand our 8 month old daughter had a great time at the petit club and we always picked her up with a smile and the staff kept us updated throughout the day. All in all, a fantastic vacation and would recommend to anyone going to Phuket.

Unforgettable Experience at Club Med Phuket: A Heartfelt Thank You to All the Amazing GOs! Club Med’s unique concept truly shines through in Phuket, offering guests the rare opportunity to form meaningful connections with the staff, known as the GOs (Gentils Organisateurs). From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a wonderful team from all corners of the world— Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Korea, Taiwan, Europe and beyond. Their warmth and hospitality made our stay unforgettable. A Big Thank You to the GOs: * Ari (Yoga Instructor) – Ari’s yoga sessions were an absolute highlight of our day His classes, which ran daily at 8 AM, were accessible to all levels, from beginners to seasoned yogis. The 3 PM intermediate sessions, especially the Vinyasa and Ashtanga styles, were perfect for those looking for a deeper challenge. Not to mention, the Aqua Yoga in the zen pool and the Sound Healing sessions were incredibly popular—definitely a must-try! performances to the stage. A special mention to Boy Boy for the incredible costumes that added to the magic of the shows! * Jamal, Chloe, Kimmy, Adib, and Golf (Trapeze Team) – These talented individuals made the trapeze performances a thrilling part of the entertainment. Led by Jeremie, the team delivered incredible shows, which quickly became one of the highlights of our stay. Whether you’re a spectator or a participant, their energy and passion are contagious! * Bimo (Archery) – Bimo’s passion for archery was evident from the moment we met him. He’s an excellent instructor who made the experience both fun and safe for everyone, regardless of skill level. * Azizul (Restaurant ) – A big thank you to Azizul for his personalised service, especially in accommodating our family’s accessibility needs. His attention to detail ensured our dining experience was always smooth and enjoyable. * Owen (Restaurant)– We were thrilled to see Owen again, having met him during our stay at Club Med Bintan. His friendly personality and exceptional service. * Aoy (Housekeeping Manager) – Aoy and her team, especially Rosie, kept our room spotless throughout our stay. They were always prompt and accommodating whenever we had a request. * Rachel (Bar Staff) – It was lovely to catch up with Rachel again, having met her in Bali at Christmas. Her friendly nature and excellent service made her a joy to interact with every time we visited the bar. * Prince (Audio-Visual) – Behind the scenes, Prince worked his magic to ensure that the resort’s audiovisual systems were top-notch. His efforts helped create seamless experiences for both entertainment and events. * Kookai, Aun, Kira, Saipan, Sophie, Chloe, Ari & Edmund (Dining Companions & Friends) – Thanks to these wonderful individuals, our meals were even more enjoyable. It was a pleasure to share meals, stories, and laughter with such a friendly and engaging group Resort Highlights: * Facilities & Amenities: The resort has recently undergone a series of upgrades, and we noticed improvements in almost every public area—new toilets, a renovated dining room, and general enhancements to the spaces. Despite a bit of refurbishment in one area, it was minimal and didn’t affect the overall experience. * Hygiene: We were very impressed with the resort’s commitment to hygiene. All employees are tested every two weeks, and there are hand sanitizers everywhere. It’s reassuring to see such dedication to guest safety. Final Thoughts: We can’t recommend Club Med Phuket enough! The amazing GOs—many of whom are university graduates choosing hospitality as a career—are the heart and soul of the resort. Their genuine enthusiasm, dedication, and warmth made all the difference, and it’s clear that they take pride in creating memorable experiences for guests.

Her care and friendliness made his days extra fun and memorable. Azizul provided outstanding service throughout our stay. He was incredibly thoughtful and attentive — always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and going above and beyond to make things easy for us. His professionalism and kindness truly stood out. Both of them made our experience feel very personal and special. Thank you, Tata and Azizul, for making our holiday unforgettable!

And of course, a heartfelt thank you to Chef Roy for conducting such a fun and engaging cooking class! I had a very good and memorable first experience in Club Med. The staff was very professional and very accommodating. Special mention to Edmund, Jeffrey and Emilio who made the overall experience so much better. Edmund provided us with excellent service at the Chuda restaurant and was very detailed, he found and remembered alot of details I never expected. As for Jeffrey, after a conversation about cooking salmon, he actually prepared a trio of salmon dishes that made the whole trip extra memorable. And lastly, Emilio made our last night at Club Med Phuket extra memorable with his stories. Thanks again to all the staff for making this an extra special trip for my wife and I.

I stayed at the resort with my mother from October 14 to 17. We arrived in Phuket late in the evening, and Dori G.O. kindly welcomed us, explained the resort in detail, and guided us all the way to our room. The room was very clean and had twin beds, so we rested comfortably. One thing that could be improved was housekeeping. After spending the first night, I expected the room to be cleaned in the morning, but when we came back around 1 p.m. after activities, it hadn’t been done yet. I requested cleaning at 2 p.m., but the shower drain wasn’t working well, which caused a bit of inconvenience. The next day, I mentioned this to the reception, and Dori G.O. followed up attentively — everything was resolved smoothly after that. Aside from that, the cleanliness was excellent throughout our stay. The restaurant food was delicious and offered a wide variety of dishes — especially the fresh fruits, which we really enjoyed. Gita G.O. walked around the dining area and kindly checked in with guests, which left a very good impression. Her attentiveness and effort to make guests feel cared for were memorable. At the main bar, the staff were very friendly. My mother especially loved the non-alcoholic mojito (without syrup) and ordered it every day — she said she’d miss it once we got back home! The facilities and activities were excellent. We enjoyed so many things that time just flew by, and the evening shows were entertaining and fun to watch. Heenie G.O., always greeted us warmly whenever she saw us, and my mother really liked her kind approach. She once asked if she could join us for a meal, and thanks to that, my mother and I had a very pleasant and friendly dining time — it became one of our favorite memories from the trip. When we were leaving, everyone seemed busy, and I felt a bit sad thinking we might not get to say goodbye — but Jina G.O., was waiting for us to see us off. That thoughtful gesture truly touched me and made our departure feel warm and special. It was a short stay, but we created such wonderful memories. I’m really grateful for their kindness and hospitality. I’d like to thank Dori, Heenie, Jina, and Gita G.O.s for making our stay so enjoyable and for sharing their warmth with us.

A beautiful temple complex with many interesting buildings, located in a very green area of the island. The temple was built in 1832, after which many buildings were: rebuilt, repaired and completed. There are many buildings, a third of which can be visited, for example: a beautiful vihara, where mantra readings take place - there are a large number of Buddha statues, portraits of the royal family and many other interesting things - but you cannot visit the main bot, the doors to it will be closed, but you can take beautiful photos on its territory. For lovers of mysterious discoveries, there is a separate building on a mountain in the jungle, where beautiful statues are behind glass doors. Here you can take beautiful, mysterious photos that no one else will have. Full information with video and easy navigation - in the 👉 PHUKETON application

I come here regularly for a cold Guiness. A lively modern sports bar with a good view of the street traffic. Friendly staff and service. The food is expensive for what you get. I had possibly the world's smallest plate of spaghetti made with canned supermarket sauce. More of an appetizer than a meal. Great for drinks, not so great for food.

Great bar on your Kata trip. Games , big Tv's, friendly staff... give it a try and challange one of the employees for a game of pool😋 Owners are always there and makes sure things run smooth. We enjoyed it a lot for 10 days in a row...

Took forever to get the menus, that should've been the first red flag as then it took over an hour to get our food and a good 20 min to get orange juice. Do not recommend

If you're dreaming of a picturesque wedding, look no further than the stunning Katathani Phuket Beach Resort. Nestled along a sprawling 700-meter beachfront, this resort offers an idyllic setting for couples seeking a tropical destination wedding. The beach itself is somewhat secluded, providing a tranquil atmosphere away from the crowds—especially in its northern corner near the resort. Guests have raved about their experiences here, highlighting the breathtaking scenery that serves as a perfect backdrop for nuptials.
We had a dream wedding at the Katathani. Satinee and her great team have pictured right away what we wanted and, must say, that one special day has gone far beyond our best expectations. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who dreams about a beach sunset venue with dedicated staff who let you fully enjoy your special day. Well done Katathani & Well done Satinee Thank you

Absolutely gorgeous beautiful place the room staff couldn’t do enough for you, loved the variety of food and cocktail hour on sunset was the best, please tip the room staff they work so hard for such little money and are so humble and kind hearted❤️
Tracy A — Google review
Attended a wedding here with friends. Excellent scenic backdrop for a tropical destination wedding. The setup is good, however the enclosed roof is not vented so expect the evening to be a bit warm. Had the western style seafood meal and was somewhat dissapointed. Soup was served with an uncraked crab claw which was messy for the guests who decided to eat it. Broth was strongly seafood flavoured and served too cold. Canned vegetables were mixed with lobster ruining the main dish. All in all a great location, however be careful in selecting menu options.

Karon Beach is a stunning 4-kilometer stretch of golden sand and crystal-clear waters, making it an ideal destination for couples and families seeking a more tranquil experience compared to the bustling Patong Beach, just 15 minutes away. This picturesque beach offers calm swimming conditions on serene days, while adventurous souls can enjoy the thrill of larger waves when the winds pick up.
Wonderful beach!! Very clean, good vibe. A perfectly relaxing beach. Not bothered by vendors like other Phuket beaches, but they are there if you need something. There was food tents and a band when we were there which was very cool. Good prices and nice people. Had a very great time at Karon beach.
Brian S — Google review
Karon Beach is a popular destination on the west coast of Phuket, Thailand, known for its long stretch of soft, white sand and clear turquoise waters. It is the second-longest beach in the province and is popular with families and couples for its more relaxed atmosphere compared to nearby Patong Beach. The beach offers a mix of relaxation and activities like sunbathing, swimming, and various watersports.
Khaled M — Google review
Nice beach! Cool water. 1hr Massages on beach were 500baht (about $15.50) many vendors lining the shore & beach chairs available. The ocean floor is very uneven with drop offs and sand bars throughout so be careful.
Audrenae — Google review
I’ve just started exploring the local beaches, and Karon Beach is by far my favorite one in the area — especially after visiting Kata Beach, which was overcrowded and quite dirty. Karon feels completely different: the sand is firm and not slippery, which makes it perfect for running or walking along the shore. The beach is wide, flat, and peaceful in the morning, with way fewer people and noticeably less trash. There’s also a nice running path and a small park area nearby, which makes the whole experience even better. Overall, it’s a clean, calm, and enjoyable beach — highly recommended if you want to move a bit, relax, or just take in a nice morning run by the sea.
Taras — Google review
It’s a good beach, family friendly. A bit wavy, which is good if you are in the mood to fight with the nature. Renting 2 benches and an umbrella for the shadow for the whole day, costs us 200 B. Overall, we enjoyed it. The beach is very long. You can find some bars in the south, which are recommended to visit on a sunset. Also, if you stay at the south part during the night, you will have an opportunity to sea fire show
Daniel D — Google review
Karon is one of the most breathtaking beaches in Phuket, radiating serenity even in peak season. Its tranquil ambiance, unmarred by bars and numerous food stalls, renders it a haven for families with kids. Water sports on the beach further amplify its allure. And last but not least, the sunset from Karon Beach is just phenomenal.
Arpita S — Google review
I really enjoyed my time at Karon Beach. The place is clean and peaceful, perfect for spending hours by the sea. I even had the chance to ride the parasail, which was an amazing experience. The waves are beautiful and calming, and it’s a great spot to do yoga and meditation without any disturbance. Highly recommend for both relaxation and adventure
Mead A — Google review
Clean water and sands. Less crowded than any beach you may wish to visit in Phuket. Few food stalls and activities. The beach is huge and the waves are beautiful.

Nestled between the serene Ya Nui and Nai Harn beaches, Windmill Viewpoint is a hidden gem that offers breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea. This charming spot is perfect for those seeking a peaceful sunset experience away from the crowds typically found at Promthep Cape. The iconic white windmill serves as a picturesque backdrop, making it an ideal location for photography enthusiasts. While you can visit any time of day, arriving during dusk rewards you with one of Phuket's most stunning sunsets.
Moody Skies, Magical Views – Windmill Viewpoint in the Rain Visited Windmill Viewpoint on a slightly rainy day, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most peaceful and beautiful moments of my trip. Even with the overcast skies and gentle drizzle, the view was absolutely stunning. The clouds rolling over the lush green hills, the ocean shimmering in muted silver tones, and the soft breeze made the whole scene feel like a dream. There’s something so calming and cinematic about standing up there in the rain, watching nature do its thing. The spot itself is easy to reach and not too crowded (especially when the weather isn’t sunny – lucky me!). There’s a quiet energy to the place, and the windmill adds a charming touch to the landscape. If you’re in Phuket and thinking of skipping this viewpoint just because it’s not all sunshine and blue skies – don’t. The rain brings its own magic, and Windmill Viewpoint wears it beautifully.
Madhvi V — Google review
Windmill Viewpoint in Phuket is truly one of the best hidden gems on the island. Unlike the more crowded Karon Viewpoint, this place feels underrated and far less touristy, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The view here is absolutely stunning – you get a perfect angle of the turquoise sea, the beach, and the surrounding hills, all blending into a breathtaking backdrop. What makes Windmill Viewpoint special is how clear and expansive the scenery is. It’s an ideal spot if you’re looking to take amazing photos, as the natural light, the sea view, and the quiet atmosphere all combine to create picture-perfect moments. Whether you’re a photography enthusiast or just someone who loves capturing memories, this viewpoint will not disappoint. The area itself is peaceful and not too commercialized, so you can actually take your time to relax and soak in the view without rushing. It’s also a great place to sit for a while and simply enjoy the calmness and beauty of Phuket’s coastline. Overall, Windmill Viewpoint is an excellent spot that deserves more recognition. If you want a clear, beautiful view of the sea with a fantastic backdrop for photos, this is definitely the place to go.

Coffee shop
Starbucks is a well-known coffeehouse chain originating from Seattle, offering its signature roasts and light bites along with WiFi access. The spacious store provides ample indoor and outdoor seating as well as convenient parking. Visitors can collect city mugs from various locations in Thailand at this location. It's a great spot to enjoy familiar comforts while traveling, providing a quiet and clean workspace away from home.
The place is in a good location not far from the beach. Plenty of seating inside and the air conditioning felt so nice coming from the outside. Coffee is just like any other Starbucks but you don’t really come here looking for specialty coffee. Service was good and the staff tries their best to communicate with customers considering that the clientele comes from all over the world. A solid spot if you are just looking for US style coffee in a familiar setting.

I visited this Starbucks almost every day during my month living in the Karon area, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots. The coffee is excellent - always consistent and freshly made. There’s plenty of space both for work and for relaxing, and the cool air inside is a perfect escape from the hot weather outside. The staff are wonderful - very friendly, polite, and welcoming. Truly great people. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!

I went for the Wi-Fi, but you might want to stay for the comfort and familiarity of a good old fashioned US-bred coffee company while you’re in Phuket. It was certainly quiet, clean, and served up all the usuals. It was a welcome reprieve for my trip and a needed workspace away from home.

On The Rock Restaurant is a high-end dining option located within the Marina Phuket Resort, offering a picturesque setting by the sea. The restaurant prides itself on providing a pleasant environment, excellent service, and popular dishes that cater to both Eastern and Western palates. While it may not specialize in authentic Thai cuisine, it offers an enticing seafood menu with notable dishes such as clay pots filled with delectable seafood.
This place is a must-see in Thailand. Book for the balcony at around 6pm to catch a beautiful sunset. You’ll also notice there’s a fire show on the beach around 7-8. The food was simply spectacular, beautiful cocktails. Very easy to split the bill and pay if you’re with a group.

On the Rock Restaurant is nestled at the end of Karon Beach. It provides magnificent views of the beach and its surrounds. The atmosphere is very relaxing, and somewhat intimate after sunset. "On The Rock Restaurant" boasts delicious food and stunning views of Karon Beach. Set against a backdrop of picturesque mountains, beautiful beaches and crystal-clear waters, it creates the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.
Oracha S — Google review
The restaurant turned out to be such a disappointment. The place, the design, the atmosphere and the view were spectacular. The staff and service were excellent But the food was a let down. We ordered fried crab Rangoons which had an overly fishy crabby smell, I couldn’t go through it, but my husband enjoyed it. The pineapple fried rice, was tasteless & had barely any pineapple in it. The crab curry was not good either, it lacked good taste & was too messy for a restaurant of this sort. The pineapple freeze (drink) was okay, I wished it was less sweet but that’s a personal preference. Honestly not worth 1600 Baht that we paid. I wouldn’t pay more than 200 baht for the food quality.

Stunning views, great service and delicious food! We originally stopped in only for a drink as we weren't hungry and staff were super gracious about this removing our cutlery etc! The cocktails were awesome and ultimately seeing all the food come out we changed our minds again the staff were gracious and gave us placemats cutlery etc without complaint. We settled on a green curry and asked for it to be extra spicy and they delivered and delivered well! Great amount of coconut cream and not watered down like some places Shame we weren't hungry because I can't wait to go back and try more dishes! The views are simply beautiful too! We
