Miss Shirley's Cafe, located in the Inner Harbor of Baltimore, is a unique dining spot known for its creative American cuisine with a regional twist. The cafe caters to various dietary needs, including gluten-free options that don't compromise on flavor. Featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, it has become a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The family-friendly atmosphere and diverse menu make it a popular choice for breakfast and lunch.
Fantastic! We picked this place on a whim looking for one of the best brunch spots in Baltimore and we were very happy with the selection. Once we arrived, we saw how much acclaim Miss Shirley's has received, such as from Restaurant Hospitality Magazine and Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. I can see why! To start, I really enjoyed the pimento cheese biscuit and the Shirley's Crush cocktail was quite refreshing. For my main, I went with the Southern Slammer Sandwich, which already sounded good but I couldn't pass up a winner of the best breakfast sandwich in America according to Restaurant Hospitality Magazine. Absolutely delicious. I loved the simple ingredients yet their flavor together was unforgettable. A great sandwich and not overly heavy in my opinion. The stone ground grits were incredible as well. Ester provided great service during our brunch. It sounds like we got pretty lucky with a 30 minute wait as we heard it can get pretty busy. Definitely worth the wait!

Saturday Brunch here with my wife and our son and daughter in law. The food was high quality and wonderfully flavored. I had the Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes with A Scrambled Eggs w/ Cheese and the Cranberry Maple Turkey Sausage. The family had various omelets and everything was delicious. Truly a wonderful dining experience.

9/12/2025 at 11:00am Everything was perfect, from the start we had a friendly welcome, the host was amazing and very knowledgeable. Our server was very friendly and patient with our 3 kids. All the food we ordered felt fresh and homemade, it was delicious. Personally today I had one of the best breakfast I've had in 34 countries and 26 states from this beautiful country I have visited and of course I have many great experiences, so I add today dish to 1 of the 10 best breakfasts due to the unique and diverse flavor of this dish (Fried chicken biscuit & and gravy omelet ) the name don't mention all the other ingredients, I recommend this dish 100%

Come here as we were in Baltimore early and it was open for breakfast. Great it had a separate vegan menu and kids menu. Friendly and helpful service. Kids portion is very generous! The Vegan pancakes where a little dry but alright. No restaurant toilet. Prices are quite high.

Unique breakfast joint within walking distance when in the inner harbor. Has great menu options that are hard to narrow down. The Cinnamon Danish pancakes were our favorite. Everyone left with their bellies full.

First time.. came from a tiktok recommendation! Food was decent, I wouldn't go back for 2nd. Nice outside view to sit and eat. Its more on the pricey side here! Server was good! My friend did not like the egg whites, it was corrected but still wasn't to her liking. The manager did come by a follow-up which was nice.

First time at Miss Shirley’s and it did not disappoint! Our server Ryan was attentive and so sweet. I ordered their Crab Hash and Fries Green Tomato Eggs Benedict and I will forever dream about how delicious it was. Was also ordered the Pimento Cheese Biscuits which were heavenly with the strawberry jam. Would recommend this place to anyone traveling from out of town who really wants a good breakfast!

I haven’t been to Miss Shirley’s in a few years and the food is still good. The shrimp and grits are a must have along with the new fruit drinks they now offer. One slight inconvenience is having to leave the restaurant and go to a different floor in the building to use the restroom. That just a minor set back for a nice brunch spot near the harbor.

Cafe
Blue Moon Cafe is a popular spot known for its creative twists on classic breakfast dishes, all served in a vibrant and funky setting. The cafe's rock & roll attitude is reflected in both its decor and its menu, with standout items like the famous Captain Crunch French Toast. Featured on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, this 24-hour weekend spot draws crowds for good reason. In addition to their inventive dishes, they also offer traditional breakfast favorites.
Amazing breakfast! It was on my "plan to visit" list for a long time because there's always a bit of a wait but it's definitely worth the wait. Plus if the weather is nice, there's plenty of things to check out in Fell's Point in the mean time. I got the cap'n crunch French toast and their standard breakfast. The French toast is amazingly decadent. I thought the cereal might dry it out a bit but it didn't at all. A nice subtle crunch and all the toppings on it really added to the experience. Best restaurant whipped cream I've ever had. The standard breakfast your usual mix of eggs, breakfast meat (I got bacon), and hash browns. I like their hash browns, nice and crispy, good fresh eggs, and thick crispy bacon the way I like it. My husband got the Julio's tacos and I had a bite and they were delicious. Great chorizo, and the light crispiness of the tacos made them a step above any breakfast taco I've had.

Overall experience was great. We were seated right away. It’s a tight space with seating for about 10-15 couples/families. The entire wait staff was super polite and timely. The food was delicious. It also came out pretty fast. The pancakes were hot, the sausage was superb, and the eggs were prepared as they were asked to be., For the freshness and taste the price in my opinion is well worth it. I saw a few things on the menu I wanted to try. I’ll save that for the next visit.

I have been wanting to visit this place for years now and I finally got the opportunity and they did not disappoint! We arrived bright and early at 8:00 on Saturday morning and had about a 15 minute wait. Once we were seated, the service was very quick, efficient, and friendly. The menu had so many fun options I had a difficult time trying to decide what to order, but I finally settled on the Captain Crunch French Toast and it was delicious!! This place is definitely worth a visit if you are in the Baltimore area.

This is a quaint little place. We thought it was one of the best breakfast places we went to while in Baltimore. We waited about 25 minutes to get a seat. Not a lot of tables inside but they make it work. It is a little loud because of how small the place is so it was hard to have a conversation. The waitress was friendly but didn’t make a lot and of stops at our table to check on us. The Mexican omelette with a side of hash browns was fabulous. The cooked the hash browns so they were crispy on both sides. They were so good. The Mexican omelette had chorizo onions and peppers. It was so delicious. The unique variety of foods make it a one of a kind place. I understand why they have such high ratings. Seems clean considering how busy it is. They also have a few tables for outside seating.
Mark S — Google review
This place is nice and cozy. The environment is calm. The menu is a QR code so make sure to have your phone handy. The food was incredibly great! I will definitely return. Today is Friday morning about 8 am , there was no wait.

Tasty foods and warm service! Love it! But the atmosphere is a little gloomy and place is a little on the dimmer side. I think some lovely warm lights will do the trick. Visited them a few times and they deliver flavor and taste that you will really love! ❤️

Okay. So you need to know the lore. I have been trying to get in this is restaurant for 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐇𝐒. I finally got in today. Here’s my review: The food was ball drop amazing The atmosphere was amazing loved the little trinkets and the blue paraphernalia. Please get the French toast captain crunch if you know what’s good for you. It was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Otherwise why are you even going. 10/10, my final review is if you can’t get in the first time…fourth time is the charm.
Jaya R — Google review
This is worth the wait! We checked in and were expecting an hour wait so we explored Fell’s Point and returned 40 mins later to be called next. We had one order of the SIn Roll French Toast & the pumpkin pancakes. Quick service and delicious food. Be prepared to take home leftovers or split!

Spoons Coffee Roasters and Cafe is a cozy brick-walled spot that's perfect for a laid-back breakfast or lunch. This neighborhood gem has been serving up delicious meals for 19 years, offering an array of traditional and healthy options.
Went for brunch with a friend. The wait time (advertised 15 minutes) was less than all four places that we stopped to prior. & honestly the wait time was less (7 minutes) but we only needed a table for 2. Our table was located upstairs which wasn’t a problem at all. The atmosphere was great lots of art. Very peaceful and quiet. The server was very friendly & greeted us with a smile & water in hand. The drinks came first. Both ordered the latte, salted caramel for me. The food didn’t take long. I order The Beast it was wonderful and the homemade biscuits are a must try. The fried oysters and grits w/ bacon and mushrooms are chefs kiss. They ran out of French toast, so the stuffed pancakes was a great substitute. 10 out of 10 I definitely will recommend this place for family friends even to just enjoy it by yourself.

Great little place, tucked away. Grits were delicious! BLT sandwich yummy. Pancakes good, sweet. Might not need syrup.
Nanci B — Google review
Spoons is hands-down one of the best breakfast spots in Federal Hill — maybe in all of Baltimore. From the moment you walk through the door, the warm, cozy vibe hits you, and you know you’re in for something special. It’s got that perfect neighborhood café energy where you feel welcomed whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor. The coffee is absolutely top-notch — bold, smooth, and locally roasted. You can tell they take it seriously here. And the menu? A total dream for breakfast and brunch lovers. My hubby always orders the 2-2-2 and I get the Eggs Benedict. They are always on point. The Breakfast Burrito and Crab Benedict are also winners, packed with flavor and fresh ingredients. What really sets Spoons apart is the service. The staff is consistently friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely happy to be there. Even when it’s packed (which it often is), they keep things moving with ease and a smile. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Federal Hill, do yourself a favor and make time for breakfast at Spoons. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again — and bring your friends along next time.

Top 10 best meals of my life. PHENOMENAL breakfast. The stuffed French toast was so, so delicious. The Burrito was amazing.
Amber — Google review
My husband and I have been coming to spoons for 10+ years and it remains our favorite spot in Baltimore! The vibe at spoons is relaxed and comfortable. Their food is awesome, some favorites are their blueberry pancakes, biscuits and scrambles. Coffee is great and so is the service.
Lauren M — Google review
Came from Boston and was recommended we visit spoons. So bummed we waited foe the second leg of our trip, because had we known, we would have been several times!! Ha ! So so good. Very friendly staff, haven't had a lot of that here in Baltimore. EXCELLENT food (they even grilled my English muffin! Something Dave and Dads rudely responded to). And the iced lattes we got were INCREDIBLE. I wish we had a spoons at home !
Jillian M — Google review
My group and I had a great time here today. We came in for lunch and, it's true, you really should make reservations. At noon on a Sunday the wait was about 45 minutes to seat four people. When it was our turn to be seated, the wait staff was very friendly and made jokes with us from the start. I imagine and hope that all the staff here were as friendly. I hate that I didn't catch her name! The coffee we had was fabulous, both in presentation and in taste. We tried the egg nog coffee, the marshmallow coffee, and their regular black drip, all great. Yes, the marshmallow coffee actually comes with a toasted marshmallow! The food was fantastic too. The waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and the food came out quickly and hot. I love that they have great sweet and savory options for brunch. The only odd thing was that there is a little bit of a rush here to turn the tables to new customers. I totally understand it though. With a great restaurant like this in such high demand and with such little seating, you need to keep the hungry people flowing so everyone can have a chance to enjoy it.
Paul G — Google review
I guess you just have to get lucky that this place is open when they say they are when you come. I went here with a friend on a Sunday morning and my experience was great, no complaints. I had leftovers to bring home, my spouse thought the leftovers were so good that we decided to come back the following weekend, also on Sunday (literally one week later). We arrived after 8:45am and the doors were locked. There was no sign on the door explaining why, no updates on google, their website, or their social media. They didn’t answer the phone. We weren’t the only confused potential customers outside. So yeah, 2nd star because my first time there was good, but maybe update your hours or at least inform customers of a change so we don’t waste time, gas, and parking fees just to be greeted by a locked door.

Iron Rooster - Canton and Locust Point locations offer a wide range of delicious options available all day. The fried chicken biscuit sandwich is a must-try, and the house-made poptart with mixed berry filling is a delightful treat. Customers praise the friendly service and enjoyable atmosphere. The menu includes favorites like fried green tomatoes, biscuits and gravy, Cajun Shrimp Benny, candied bacon, and excellent coffee.
Great place for a lazy brunch. We had Rancher’s egg benedict with home fries, pancakes with fresh fruit, and freshly pressed orange juice. The food was great, the service was fast and polite. We will definitely be back!

The food was presented pretty. Everything was loaded with salt. Our whole party was tasting things. We called the manager. She told us that they’ve been serving the same things all day with no complaints, as if that invalidated what we had. I’m not sure if it was the waitress’ first day on the job but her service was terrible! She kept forgetting things. I waited forever for a refill of water! It was our first time here but I’ll never come back.
Dina K — Google review
I would have given this restaurant a 4 because it seems everyone enjoyed the food. Service wasn’t awful. My 75 yr old MIL and her sister really like it here. I am rating it low because the waitress wrote in big bold letters on our order that I had a dairy allergy (I get violently ill) and they cooked my food in something with Dairy. The waitress said “the Chef said it would be safe…”it was cooked in butter oil.” When I explained that butter oil was not dairy free she apologized several times and offered to get me a cup of fruit instead. I could not eat my $25 dollar meal and no one offered to cook something without dairy or remove it from the check. I know it is challenging for restaurants to understand allergies sometimes but they should make it right. The waitress may have forgotten to tell them who knows. So I watched everyone else eat. I did not like the layout of the restaurant it looked like a cafe. Other people may like a layout like that. The beer was good.
Rachael B — Google review
I have heard such good things about this restaurant for ages, and I finally got a chance to try it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. It was (maybe) the first day of the new menu, I dont know if that had anything to do with it or not. The food was overseasoned to the point it was hard to eat. My server may have been new too, she was WAY over attentive, constantly coming to my table until it was time to pay... she vanished.
Edward Z — Google review
During a brunch outing with a friend, our enjoyable conversation was disrupted by the arrival of our food. Everything looked so bland. Upon examining my plate, I was disturbed to find a hair and what appeared to be dirt. A closer look revealed another hair in my eggs, which caused me significant distress. The manager was quickly alerted and asked if I wanted my meal remade, which struck me as a redundant question. Furthermore, the crab dip I ordered was disappointing, consisting mainly of cream cheese with a meager sprinkling of crab meat on top, and was overpriced at $20. Considering the inconvenience I experienced, I anticipated that my breakfast meal would be free of charge or half off, but this was not the case. Notwithstanding, our waiter delivered exceptional service. We won’t be returning!!
Kaniyah J — Google review
Visited the place with my colleagues. We enjoyed the drinks and the service provided! Had a good time here coming from a stressful shift. ❤️ Will be back soon for sure!

The food was really good! We ordered pancakes and fried chicken. The place is beautiful. And the server was really nice and she was always checking on us. We had a good time. We ordered a strawberry avocado toast as well but we didn’t quite like that one, the taste of it was unusual. But everything else was excellent. Don’t hesitate coming to iron rooster.

American restaurant

Restaurant
The Food Market, located in Hampden with a second location in Columbia, offers a unique dining experience. The restaurant is known for its quirky and playful atmosphere, featuring art-filled walls and a bustling bar area. Chef-owner Chad Gauss presents creative American cuisine with one-of-a-kind riffs on familiar foods such as cheesesteak steamed buns and Corn off the Cob beignets. The smartly designed industrial-modern space focuses on serving sustainable cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients.
I have been here many times, but realized I never wrote a review so there’s no better time than now to share my thoughts. We recently visited the food market because of their customer appreciation event where they were offering 50% off the entire menu. This was something new as I don’t believe I remember them doing this type of event, but it was so thoughtful of the restaurant to do this. Regardless of the discount this restaurant is a must visit as they are consistently producing top-notch quality dishes. Not to mention, the service was amazing given how crowded the restaurant was this particular day. Our server Nadeen was amazing. She was attentive, prompt, and made sure we were well taken care of. This restaurant is suitable for families or just as perfect for those looking for a more intimate date night. However, because of its location, location they don’t have a designated parking area therefore it is a street parking situation. Now moving onto the food ! They have a pretty decent number of items on their menu and I think at this point I have tried just about everything and I can’t say that I dislike any items. I’ve tried so far. However, I will share some of my favorites. I love their giant mozzarella stick. Considering it size it somehow still stays altogether and super crunchy with just the right amount of cheese pull. We also got their street corn wedge salad, and that was amazing. It was super light and paired so nicely with the ranch and the shrimp. And of course, they’re famous cheesesteaks also delicious with very tender pieces of meat paired with their really soft chewy bread. And while I’m not one for mocktails I got their Gucci lemonade, and it was so refreshing, not overly sweet and paired perfectly with my meal!

Started coming here in 2018 for special occasions and I do think it’s gotten a bit worse over the years. Previously, the food would stand out as some of the best and most creative, and now I’m not sure if I would really remember the last meal. When paying a premium for food, I do hold it to higher standards after spending $200 on a meal. Steak was a bit over medium rare. Partner’s steak was under. Lobster Mac and cheese was just not good. Not enough cheese sauce and the noodles were a bit dry, tossed with a few chunks of seafood. Fries were a bit soggy. Drinks and app were delicious. Tables were so cheap, my husband leaned on it to get up and the whole thing toppled over.

I was looking for another restaurant but I really believe my Google maps womsn dont like me she sent me the wrong way and I was so hungry and standing right in front of this restaurant so I went here. so I had chicken cheesesteak egg roll which is wonderful. I but into it and the juice from the meat flew out. it wasn't greasy fried just right the meat season well. just one of the best I ever had. I also had the lobster roll which wasn't good too much mayo and no seasoned. my friend had the cream of soup which he enjoyed and the street tacos which he said was just ok. but i did enjoy the French fries that came with each dish very crispy and nice crunch to each.

5/21/2025 - The last time I ate here was in 2017, and I loved it. We would come several times a month. The service received from the hostess station throughout the entire restaurant was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and didn't forget a thing whenever an item was needed. She absolutely didn't mind handling my requests. The bathrooms were clean. The tables and booths were also clean. Unfortunately, some restaurants that have wooden tabletops are sticky. Unfortunately, the food wasn't so great and very pricey for the quantity and quality. Cream of Crab Soup was shockingly delicious. It was luke warm. I'm thankful that I ordered it because everything went down hill quickly after the soup. I added extra crab meat for $10, which made my bowl of soup $24. I think that they make their soup with very little crab meat to force patrons to pay $10 for the crab meat that it's missing. 1/2 N 1/2 aka Arnold Palmers are a whopping $6 per glass. If you don't know what these are......a glass with 1/2 iced tea and 1/2 lemonade. They were unsweetened and tasteless. Wow! Gucci Lemonade (blackberry lemonade) was almost as bad as the Arnold Palmers. Steak Frites (NY Strip) was small for the price. It was tastless and rubbery. $43 Steak Frites (Wagyu) was tough and tasteless. I think that I was lied to because I've NEVER had Wagyu taste like this or be this difficult chew. $45 The steak entrées were served on top of dessert menus. Why in the heck would management allow this to occur. Just place them on the table. This was weird on every level. Stop it! Fresh Cut Fries, of course, were good but needed to be salted. Chimichurri Potatoe Salad was tastless with humongous chunks of potatoes. We spent almost $200 for two Cream of Crab Soups and two orders of fresh cut fries because they were the only items that were actually worth eating. It was shocking to come to an expensive restaurant and not be offered fresh pepper and sea salt shakers. I think that this restaurant charges patrons enough money to be able to afford to offer us better salt and pepper options. I packed up 95% of my meal in hopes of fixing it at home. We were not pleased with this experience at all. Great restaurant if you have Diabeties or dietary restrictions because nothing is seasoned and/or if you want to waste money on overpriced mediocre meals. 7/4/25 - Someone from out of town begged to go to The Food Market, so here I am again. Nicks Double Burger was ok. Had a nice amount of sauce. The sauce made it so the burger didn't need mustard and ketchup. The beef had no flavor. Cut Fries aren't FRESH at all. They must be bagged fries. $5 ummmm, not worth it, especially for the portion given. Deep Fried French Toast was terribly greasy.....YUK! Who came up with this awful idea?

The food was delicious!!! We got 3 or 4 appetizers and 5 entree's between 4 of us. The prices were good, the drinks were good but the food was too due for!!! If I'm ever in the area again I'll be back! I didn't get photos of the appetizers but we got the lamb chops, meatballs and pork belly. We got 2 blackened tuna entree's, a burger, the steak tartae and the duck lo mein. Everything was so good and I'm glad they had a mocktail/ Virgin cocktail options as well. I got the Gucci lemonade. The blackened tuna was too die for and was definitely my favorite, especially the salad that comes with it and the sweet potatoe Rangoon. We had a reservation for 7.30pm on a Thursday night. The place was packed, I do not know how long the wait would've been if we didn't have a reservation. In total our bill was around $235 before tip. This included 5 meals, 3 appetizers (they also give you fancy popcorn for the table), 1 mocktail, 1 beer, 1 cocktail and a soda. For 4 people it wasn't bad and we only had a little bit of leftovers because we were all starving and saving room for dessert.

My husband and I loved this place. It was our first visit and we were not disappointed. We ordered Beets by Chad, Fajitas and the Salmon BLT. The food was phenomenal and the service was too. We're visiting from North Carolina and The Food Market will definitely be on my list of places to visit when I'm here.

Happy hour is good. I had the garlic shrimp and cheesesteak bao buns. 3 stars because they changed the portion size of the crab balls for the spicy pasta and it used to come with melted mozzarella cheese on top. For $36, the crab is super minimal and not even jumbo lump. Maybe the Columbia location is better.

Rusty Scupper Restaurant & Bar is a local landmark in Baltimore, offering upscale regional seafood dishes in a waterfront setting for over 30 years. The restaurant provides near-360-degree views of both the Inner Harbor and Federal Hill, making it a popular spot for special occasions like engagements and weddings. It is known for its exquisite seafood fare and traditional Maryland delicacies, showcasing Baltimore's rich maritime tradition.
The food is absolutely amazing! The views are not far behind. The atmosphere, while a little dated, is consistent with its nautical theme and seafood fine dining. The service is always impeccable and stellar. You feel welcome and enjoy being in the environment. The specials are worth the extra $$. But the whole fried fish is a MUST if you have the appetite. It’s not on the menu so asking for it will indicate you’ve been there before and feel somewhat exclusive.

Went here for my graduation celebration and really enjoyed it. The location is beautiful with amazing views, the food was really good, and the service was great. We had a reservation and were seated right away with no wait, which made the night even better. Overall, I really liked this place and would definitely recommend it for a special occasion.

Wanted a Baltimore seafood experience and we were NOT disappointed. This place hit it out of the park on all levels. Starting with the warm bread, which I don’t often comment on but were hot and interestingly presented with a pour over accompaniment. I definitely wasn’t expecting much from a salad but I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious as the dressing wasn’t just poured on, it was mixed throughout and then plated. The soup hit the spot, very crabby and creamy. The crab cakes were off the charts yummy. They were MUCH better than the picture could ever tell the story. We skipped dessert cuz there was noooo room in da belly. LOL. As a special note, Amanda, our server, was awesome, both friendly and knowledgeable in her recommendations to us. She definitely rounded out our experience. The view of the harbour is amazing looking back over the city.

Sunday Brunch is worth the price! Food delicious and a lot to choose from. Drinks, music. Just awesome! If visiting, this is the place to go before heading out on Sunday. Automatically 18% gratuity taken out. Service wasn't bad at all. Everyone was welcoming and kind.

I walked away incredibly satisfied with my visit to Rusty Scupper. I'd be remiss not to start by offering praise to our waitress Keirsten. Her exuberance, knowledge of the dishes, honesty, and overall charm set the right tone immediately! My daughter and I trained up from DC for day trip. We struggled to decide on Rusty Scupper or another high profile competitor. We believe we made the right choice. The scallops were cooked to perfection, the jumbo lump crab cakes the best I've ever had, the tuna carpaccio amazing, and the collard greens, game changing! We walked away more than satisfied! It was a great memory coupled with my first trip to Charm City!

This is a good spot for family events or dinners. The view of the harbor is awesome! It’s a huge restaurant, so if it’s busy, service can be spotty. The food is consistently good and portions are generous, but it’s a bit pricey for some menu items. It’s also rich food. Overall, it’s worth a try to see if you like it! The butter cake dessert is to die for!

Wonderful location on the water front, lovely views and atmosphere. Great service but for the cost the food was sorely lacking. Had fried seafood plate and was barely eatable, fish fried so hard that it was not recognizable, shrimp was good, but could not recognize what else was on the plate. All show.

Maggie's Farm is a cozy and cheerful family-owned restaurant located in Lauraville. It prides itself on using locally sourced farm ingredients to create globally inspired comfort food. The restaurant offers a variety of brunch specials, including the popular fried chicken and rosemary waffle made with organic, locally sourced chicken. In addition to its delicious food, Maggie's Farm is also known for its creative bar program, offering signature cocktails like the smoked Sazerac and barrel-aged pecan Old Fashioned.
First time visiting and I absolutely loved this cozy eclectic brunch spot. It's a small space, but worth any type of wait. The flavors are bold and the portions are generous, so don't be discouraged by the price. The drinks also pack a punch! We enjoyed the brunch burger, chipotle chicken sandwich, fried chicken & waffles, and the MF Cinnamon bun - all made fresh in house! We also had a delicious Syrian dessert (I cannot remember the name, but it was similar to a baklava filled with some cool cheese filling, pistachio, and rose). I was stunned by the food. The fried chicken & waffles was the best I have ever eaten. The fatty peppery pork sausage gravy paired with the sweet smokiness of the hickory smoked syrup was magnificent. The staff was friendly and attentive. You can tell how much they enjoy working with one another and for the restaurant. It definitely is a friendly neighborhood spot. I cannot say enough great things about this place! I do recommend a reservation!

Excellent service, intimate atmosphere and delicious food . . . who could ask for anything more? A spontaneous decision to go to lunch turned into an entire afternoon of fun! Besides the staff who were very attentive, we also spent our day seated at the bar engaged in friendly conversations with many other patrons. Everyone was complimenting the generous portions, flavorful food, and specialty cocktails. Each plate that came out looked mouth-watering good and gave us food envy. We will definitely be visiting again to try all of the amazing options!

Best scratch Kitchen . We are so lucky to have this restaurant in our neighborhood. We got our reservations and got seated right away. Colorful decorated . The rib eye were delicious enough to share for 4 people. I love Grits and love Ordering them every time we go down South but Maggie’s Farm are spectacular. Delicious flavor , smooth and enough flavor to complement the Shrimp. The he temperature was perfect and I love the presentation. the Andouille was delicately cut nice size bite Shrimp was perfectly cooked and the spinach melted in your mouth. I’ve ordered a Paloma Spritz which paired the incredibly well with this dish. The Chef came by our table to ask how we liked our food and his wife our server did an amazing job missing our drinks. I can’t wait to go back !

This is a "must stop" for brunch. Fabulous flavors, generous portions, even the drinks were special. They are not afraid to season their foods. We had three different dishes and they were all cooked and presented delectably.

This hidden gem in the Arcadia Beverly Hills Historic District is a must see. Nondescript on Harford Rd itself, with its entrance on Montebello Terrace, it doesn't look like anything more than a small neighborhood dinner. Passing through the Patio, up the 3-step approach, one enters into a dark but cozy mid-space. Passing an impressive wine rack on the way to the dining area and bar is your 2nd indication this is a special place. The first is the prominently displayed Baltimore Sun's 2022 award for best cocktail. The server team effortlessly integrated their duties to make sure we were never ignored. Having had the lucky fortune to arrive a bit before the brunch crowd, the award winning mixologist, Dana Saeed provided us with tastes and samples to whet our imbibing palate before delivering a superlative Cosmopolitan and Classic Negroni. She also was able to serve up a cold shot of Chartreuse, before creating an imperfect but so incredibly tasting riff on a The Last Word cocktail. I'd never go back to the original recipe, except much like the Chartreuse liquor itself, Dana's contains secret house made additions that far overcame the lack of 1 of the original ingredients. For appetizers, we had the dumplings where the sauce made even the watercress delectable. Our party had a Montecristo, an eggs and grits with bacon, and a seared duck with veggie potato hash that puts all other home fries to shame. Proudly featuring Zekes coffee from just up the street, they served us an incredible chocolate topped cheesecake with a sweet foam, drizzled with dark chocolate. This little out of the way treasure is our new goto for celebrations, after work drinks and really good food. Because of the special drinks we ordered it was a bit pricey, but so very worth it. YMMV.

Okay, hear me out, this place is DELICIOUS. This was our first time here for brunch. We ordered: croque madam, thee steak and eggs, and the bread pudding. If you're in a hurry, here is the summary: it's a little pricey, but the food was FRESH and perfectly cooked and seasoned. More info: The staff was friendly and attentive. The place is small but this building is from the 1920s, so expect cozy seating. The vibe is cozy, intimate, but also casual. The restaurant is owned by a young couple and is very much family-owned. The staff clearly loves each other and their customers. I even witnessed the owner doing some basic sign language for some regulars who are hearing impaired. Since everything is fresh, they make to order and can customize. I recommend getting the homemade biscuit instead of the English muffin because it's made in house. The croque madam is excellent. It's a nice balance between a sweet brioche bread and salty ham. The bechamel gave a nice creamy taste in between the layers of thick ham. The steak and eggs was delicious. I recommend medium rare because the end pieces are more likely to medium with the center slices cooked perfectly. The chimichurri wasn't too intense and didn't have an overpowering raw garlic taste, it was delicious. If you get the homemade biscuit, get the jam and butter with it. The jam is something special. They were out of cinnamon rolls by the time we got there, but their rolls look amazing. Instead, we got the bread pudding which was made with their cinnamon rolls and had a peanut butter ice cream and glaze on top. I love peanut butter and it was like dying and going to heaven. This is a great spot and brunch was first come first serve. I heard that reservations are good for dinner though because it is a small establishment. They have regular updates to their menus and new specials all the time from the looks of it. I'm not sure if they have a handicap entrance. There were steps going up the door that I saw. They don't have a parking lot but there's parallel parking outside and plenty of spaces at the Safeway next door.

Gertrude's is a sophisticated restaurant located within the Baltimore Museum of Art, offering New American cuisine with a local twist. The restaurant, owned by chef John Shields, is known for its locally sourced farm-fresh food that pays homage to the region's culinary traditions. With a scenic backdrop of the museum's sculpture garden, Gertrude's provides an elegant setting to savor regional specialties like Chincoteague Single-Fry Oysters and house-made soda flavors.
Location, atmosphere, seating, service, and the menu! Gertrude's been hiding out at the Baltimore Museum of Art for some time now. I discovered Gertrude's while attending a candlelight concert honoring Lauren Hill at the BMA. The food and drinks were flavorful and delicious. They offer a variety of fine surf and turf items and some house specials on the drink menu. Their not too pricey pricey. The candlelit atmosphere gave it a cozy and classy feel. You can dine inside or outside under the stars while gazing at the beautiful garden fountain. Gertrude's dining experience made our date night truly one remember for years to come.

I really wanted to give Gertrude's a higher review. It is a nice clean sit-down restaurant, there is just nothing special or extra about it. Gertrude's is very conservative, from the coffee to food and the dining room. The food was nice, but it lacked any type of flavor or seasoning, which is good if you don't like a lot of seasoning or extra flavoring. It's definitely convenient being in the Baltimore Museum of Art.

My first dining experience at Gertrude’s after the Candlelight Concerts featuring the Best of Bridgerton on Strings. When you see the white linen tablecloth at a restaurant, you expect a fine dining experience. Gertrude’s didn't disappoint with the menu options, libations, service, and ambiance.

Gertrude’s atmosphere is truly a gem from its stunning outdoor seating and sculpture garden and proximity to the museum. I had lunch at the bar and only had oysters and a few cocktails.

Perfectly fine place to grab a bite whether you’re at the museum for a visit or wish to make a special event if it as a stand-alone restaurant. The martini I had was marvelous but the rest of the food was unmemorable. A crab cake that was good but surrounded by two tasteless sides: potato pieces that were far too large and some greens. The views of the sculpture garden when sitting outside are very lovely but you won’t walk away talking about the food: for better or worse.

Fine dining at a museum. What more could you ask for? The wait staff is very nice and the food is even better. They will customize any meal to your desire. The eggs Benedict and crab cakes are what you should go for if you’re hungry. Worth it!

I have lived in Maryland my whole life and I've never visited Gertrude's before. Gertrude's is a lovely restaurant on the 1st floor of the Baltimore Museum of Art. We only had appetizers and drinks while there. Everything was great, from the food to the drinks to the service. I especially enjoyed my calamari and my second drink which was some kind of sangria. They also provided this type of rosemary bread and cornbread free for the table. I am not much of a cornbread eater but I loved loved the bread. Oh the hush puppies were really good too and they served them with apple butter. Yummy!

Fantastic dinner location for any special occasion or nice evening. We ordered the mussels, trout, and vegetable gnocchi. All were cooked perfectly, and superbly prepared. The drink special - a rose spritz - was also great. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a more upscale dinner in Baltimore.

We celebrated our 9-year anniversary at Petit Louis Bistro, and overall the experience was wonderful. The atmosphere was lively and authentic, though seating was quite close together, which made it a little noisy at times. Parking was also slightly challenging, but once inside we were immediately impressed with the warm service. We had reservations and, even though we were running late, the staff kindly accommodated us without issue. Dinner started with the Soupe à L’Oignon Gratinée—rich, flavorful, and a perfect classic—and the Tomato Bisque, which was creamy and satisfying. For entrées, the Flanc de Veau Grillé with caper brown butter and fennel & arugula salad was cooked beautifully, while the Steak Frites with pommes frites and beurre maître d’hôtel was hearty and delicious. We ended the night with a flawless crème brûlée, crisp on top and luxuriously smooth underneath. Despite the minor inconveniences, Petit Louis made our anniversary dinner truly memorable, and we look forward to returning.

What a wonderful meal in an adorable French restaurant! We started with the escargot and eggplant appitizers. For meals we shared the duck confit and beef cheeks. Most recommended: Beef Cheeks, so comforting and delicious. Escargot was decadent. Must go! Be ready for a big bill and a full tummy!
Estee H — Google review
I enjoyed eating here, however I don't feel the cost is justified. I also didn't like the amount of fries given to us for our meals which felt like a filler for a place I am spending alot on. Overall, it's not bad at all, just not for their price point.
David ( — Google review
The mussels were full of sand and clearly not cleaned properly. If it was just one or two, I could overlook it, but almost every single one was gritty! It felt like the kitchen staff didn’t bother to clean them at all. The duck breast was completely unchewable and overcooked, despite ordering medium rare. Compared to the tender and juicy duck breast I’ve enjoyed at other places, this one fell far short. The duck leg had crispy skin, which was nice, but the meat itself was quite tough. The roasted chicken was dry except for a few pieces near the leg. As for the crème brûlée—it was, honestly, the worst I’ve ever had—overwhelmingly sweet and far from enjoyable. On the bright side, the service was good, and given the restaurant’s high rating (4.7), I’d like to think my experience was more of an unfortunate one-off rather than a consistent issue.

What an excellent and memorable meal... shame on me for living in Baltimore for so long and somehow never dining here until now! Everything we ordered was so perfectly prepared, presented and delicious, the service was stellar, and I loved the cozy French bistro atmosphere on a cold winter night. I'll be coming back just for the incredible French Onion Soup alone (but look forward to trying some of the other dishes too!)

Saturday Morning Cafe is a charming eatery that offers a laid-back atmosphere and a menu filled with classic brunch dishes and seafood options. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced and organic ingredients to create home-cooked meals perfect for any day of the week. With cozy seating, friendly staff, and a dog-friendly policy, it's an ideal spot for locals to enjoy a wholesome breakfast or lunch.
Food was delicious. Service was good and the manager, Will, was a joy to have helping his staff and the customers. I asked for bacon extra crispy and that’s what I got. Coffee is great with several selections for creamer. Eggs and French toast were very good. My mom, who is hard to please, loved her Saturday Morning breakfast, especially the potatoes. The grits were good. I liked that I could add my own salt and pepper to taste, and you can also add cheese to them. Great food, for a decent price. Great experiences too, I ate there two days in a row while visiting Baltimore.
Angela W — Google review
My experience at Saturday Morning Cafe was unfortunately disappointing. While the atmosphere seemed pleasant enough, the food left much to be desired. Following a recommendation, I ordered the chicken and biscuits, and both components were exceedingly dry, making for a rather unpleasant texture. The grits, a Southern breakfast staple, were bland and completely unseasoned – not even a hint of salt could be detected. It felt like a missed opportunity to add even a basic level of flavor. In hindsight, a simple basic breakfast might have been a safer bet. Alternatively, the Starbucks across the street is a convenient option for a quick bite. For anyone seeking a truly enjoyable breakfast or lunch experience in Baltimore, I would strongly suggest venturing over to Miss Shirley's Cafe, which consistently delivers on quality and flavor. Saturday Morning Cafe, sadly, did not meet my expectations.

We had a party of 13 and everyone was pleased with their meals. I didn't read much into the menu. However, it seem that every meal was prepared fresh. I had an eggs Benedict with crabmeat meal and my man had like a honey chicken biscuit meal. Delicious!! We are in town for a couple of days and decided to try this spot for our brunch. I ordered the chicken and waffles and I was NOT disappointed. The chicken was hot, crispy and packed with flavor, and the waffle was soft and spongy. Others in my party got the waffles meal and the quesadilla and we all enjoyed it. The place was busy so we had to wait for a table but it was worth it. I also got the iced coffee with cream and sugar and it was delicious.

We ordered the "Saturday Morning Special" the food was very good. Everything was cooked perfectly. The coffee however was dreadful. We came in at 9:15 well after the place opened and the coffee wasn't ready. When it came out it wasn't edible. This place is called a "Cafe" and they only serve one type of coffee... and it wasn't good. The cream, sugar for the coffee and syrup for the French toast came out in disposable containers. Everything was in disposable. The waitress was kind but was clueless to what might be gluten free. The table was sticky and the mean had to get peeled from it.

Unfortunately one of the worst experiences I've had in a long time. The host greeted us kindly and we were seated within 15 minutes. However, it went downhill from there. From the dirty floors to hair in our drinks and food. It was a disaster. The items we ordered never came out. We ordered the fish and grits. The fish was salty and the grits were bland. Absolutely no flavor. We also got the skillet with eggs over potatoes but subbed the steak for salmon. The salmon was an extremely small piece and almost as thin as paper. It was flavored fairly. The hot honey biscuits lacked the spice; the biscuits were undercooked too. Everything else came out on plastic plates. From the baby shrimp, (literally the size of a nickel) to the plastic cups. It was a terrible look. We asked for cheese & butter to help flavor the grits which took 20 minutes & 3 different employees to finally reach the table. Everything went back except one order that we attempted to take home and "fix up". Well, they ran out of to-go containers and attempted to package it in two plastic plates and a rubber band. Wow. Then to have countless employees coming over to place blame on the next person was kindergarten activities. There's so much more but I'd rather stop now. There was a couple behind us having a rough time as well who walked out in disappointment. I usually give a place a second chance but I don't know this time. Hopefully, they improve. Nice location and a good-looking menu. (Photos attached minus negative ones.)

Water for Chocolate Catering LLC is a cozy cafe in Baltimore that offers regional cuisine for brunch and dinner. Chef Sean Guy personally greets customers, creating an intimate and welcoming atmosphere. The open kitchen fills the space with delicious aromas, and the small floor plan allows for mingling among diners. While it may not offer bottomless drinks or scenic views, the restaurant is known for its exceptional food.
This place is absolutely a hidden gem! It was highly recommended and I am so glad we had our meal there. I love how it felt like we were inside the home and kitchen of the chef. Our curated meal was not only pleasing to look at, each dish was carefully crafted and tasted amazing. I got the Blue Plate Special which was the best jambalaya I've had outside of South Louisiana! It had a fire grilled lobster tail, scallops, shrimp and andouille sausage. Chef put his entire foot into that dish! This is the perfect spot for an intimate dinner and the smooth playlist doesn't interfere with table conversations. Do yourself a favor and book a table right away. Kudos to Chef, Diante our server!

Water for Chocolate is far more than fine dining! On a visit to Baltimore with the Ben Barber Culinary/Restaurant Team, we were looking for a place that could accommodate a reservation for 30. One of my cousins came out the box with Water for Chocolate! This intimate dining establishment showcases the talent, love, and passion of Chef/Owner Sean Guy and staff. Our reservation was for 30 people at 5pm on a Saturday. However, when we arrived we were a group of 50! Chef Guy and crew didn't even blink! With himself at the helm of the kitchen, and staff of 3, he had us all fed with dishes such as Gluten-Free Charred Red Snapper with Cilantro-Lime Rice and Broccolini, Vegetarian Black-Eyed Red Curry, Duck Risotto, and Ribeye Steaks; all within an hour and a half! Baby, let me tell you! Chef did not miss! You could see the discipline and taste the care that was put into every dish! There wasn't a single dish that was not worthy of extensive praise! If you're every in the Baltimore area, or a local. Make it a point to open your heart to all that is Water for Chocolate. Check it Out!!!

Closer to a 4.5 in terms of overall quality, but because the owner was so diligent and considerate, on top of the tasty dishes being extremely delicious, I am giving it 5 stars and I would recommend anyone visiting Baltimore to give it a shot. The highlights were the WFC Bowl, the Crab Quesadilla, and the French Toast Dippers. The pork belly was cooked to perfection, and the lacinato kale was the most delicious kale I have had anywhere, mainly because it's so difficult to make kale tasty. Having an egg and black beans also made the dish more savory. The French toast dipper was tasty as well with the perfect sauce, making it sweet but not overly sugary. The crab quesadilla was full of crab meat inside, which was a definite plus. I personally wouldn't include rice on the side, but I could see how there could be some that would use the rice to make themselves fuller. The BBQ shrimp & grits had a good amount of jumbo shrimp, and the sauce didn't taste like anything I have ever had in shrimp & grits, and tasted pretty good. The jalapeño cornbread was very tasty! The salmon belly tacos had spoiled salmon so we didn't get to taste the actual taco. However, the owner was considerate enough to take it off of our bill, which we thought was very nice, because we only sought to let our server know to ensure the salmon didn't get to other customers. They were out of the jerk duck confit, which I would have loved to try, but what we had was already good enough to provide me with a pleasant dining experience! Very much recommended!

The plating was exquisite. The food was high quality. The restaurant was cozy perfect for a lunch or dinner date. This is not a place to bring larger parties to ; this is a place that is very intimate. My only concern was when I went the chef did not want to change the recipe at all but all wanted was no jalapeño which is understandable ! Overall this was a delightful meal although it was a little hard to eat because it was too spicy for my pallet .

We tried this place for the first time during Baltimore Restaurant week. We oderednoff the pre fix menu and ala carte. They did not disappoint. All meals were freshly cooked and the server Thomas was super polite and welcoming. We were able to get a table with no reservations in a cozy nook. My duck risotto (not pictured bc ai tore it up) was creamy perfection. All items were delicious and the sweet potato bread pudding was an excellent highlight.

Baaabbyyyyyyyy!!!! You might as well stop reading this and head right on over to their website and make that brunch reservation. The whole experience was perfection, from Thomas (our greeter/server) to the mint water, to the DELICIOUS food prepared by Chef Sean Guy. This was def a top notch experience and we'll definitely be back to try other menu items. NOTE: There are plenty of vegan options to choose from!

Prepare to be full. Great experience. Hubby & I had dinner with another couple and we all were completely satisfied. This is the definition of fine dining. I had sangria, spinach dip, crab & shrimp bisque, lobster jambalaya (blue plate special), & pumpkin crème brûlée. All 4 courses were well prepared and flavorful. The staff and Chef were all friendly and personable. Great date night experience. We will be back. Prepare to walk a few blocks for parking. Free parking, clean bathroom. Good background music.

Perfect first time back in person meal! Our sever Caleb was incredible and had great recommendations. Chef Guy is a master of his craft. Can't wait to visit again! Everything was delicious, but the jerk duck, meatloaf sliders and chicken dumplings were our favorites. The sweet potato bread pudding was also outstanding! Helped that we were the only party there for most of the meal. Great atmosphere!

Located in Baltimore, The Corner Pantry is a relaxed and contemporary British cafe owned by chef Neill Howell and his wife. It offers locally sourced, modern British cuisine for breakfast and lunch. The menu features items like the turkey sandwich, farm salads, weekly specials, and Saturday donuts. With its homage to English roots and award-winning breakfast options, this cafe provides a delightful dining experience for visitors exploring Baltimore's cultural attractions.
Love the creativity and quality. Apparently so does the rest of the world, because it was MOBBED! If you are handicapped, do not come in the door closest to the lake falls village tower!!!! There was barely room to move, and it was overwhelming. I was anxious. I realized there is a second door, and it’s the better door. Both doors are very heavy though, and the correct door is the farthest from the accessible parking. The food is so so tasty and, as I said, kudos for creativity! I tried the pear, goat cheese, toffee muffin, deviled eggs, and matcha with almond milk. Every single food and beverage tastes unlike anywhere I’ve ever had it before: better (although the rosemary, chocolate chip with lemon…maybe raspberry chocolate chip with lemon? Or strawberry? Didn’t like the rosemary but was glad to try something out of the ordinary).

Had lunch with another couple yesterday at The Corner Pantry on Falls Rd. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. It's a very nice venue. You order, pay, and tip at the cash register before you even know the level of service you will experience. We had good service. I had Welsh Rarebit. This is supposed to be toast with a savory cheese sauce on top. The Corner Pantry adds thin slices of grilled ham. Unfortunately, the layer of savory cheese sauce was so thin that I couldn't even taste it. I searched under the ham and saw that the layer of cheese sauce was actually present, but the taste of it was overpowered by the ham. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and kid friendly.

Very cute cafe that serves breakfast, lunch and pastries! The biscuits and crumpets are heavenly! Very fluffy and almost cloud like! Perfect for a sandwich! The chocolate chip cookies were delicious with a slight crisp outer layer and soft middle. Overall really nice spot to go hang out for a bit!

Had a late breakfast here. At 9:30 there was plenty of available seating both inside & outside. I had a Farm Plate and my son had an All Day Egg & Cheese (with smoked salmon). I also had an Apple & Rhubarb Streusel pastry. All of the food was delicious. Staff were patient, helpful and attentive. Restrooms were clean (there are two mixed gender toilets). Somewhat on the pricey side for breakfast ($67 for two with drinks/pasties), although what isn’t these days?

I love this place so much. If you order ahead they will have your carry out order ready for you to pick up from the side door. The inside is beautiful but often fairly crowded and the tables inside are pretty small and close together. There are larger tables outside of the sun and temperature are cooperating it’s where I prefer to sit. The food is not cheap but it is delicious and high quality. Service is good and friendly.

British cafe with a small menu of dine in and plenty of pastries/baked goods to choose from. We were in the area and saw this place on the map and decided to give it a try. You place an order at the counter and then find a seat. It was packed on a Friday morning. The inside is very small and narrow, with a lot of small tables. We ordered a sandwich, pancakes, and a sausage roll. The sausage roll had such good flavor but felt too buttery. The egg sandwich served on the crumpet was just ok, I loved the crumpet. I will just get the crumpet next time. The pancakes were my favorite. They were perfectly fluffy and had a sweet crunchy topping served with bananas. I love fruit so I wish they gave more fruit! Everything was delicious but on the heavier side. I’d come back to try the delicious looking baked goods! Parking there’s a lot and there’s extra tables outside if it’s warm!

I do love the Corner Pantry, and have been loyal customer for years, but the pricing has crossed a line into unreasonable. First, I do know how hard it is to run a profitable restaurant in 2025. Inflation is real. Staffing is hard. I’m so glad they stuck it out and am grateful they’re here. I always want to support great local businesses, and I was understanding for a time after their recent expansion about why they had to raise prices and seriously reduce portions. Sad - but okay. However - I think it’s gone too far crossed into some pretty unreasonable pricing - which feels excessive - like they know they have a captive audience with few other options - and they can milk it for all it’s worth. I was just charged $17 (after tip) for a SINGLE small PANCAKE (pictured), and $10 for an iced chai latte after tip. We’ve gone too far - and sadly just like I stopped going to Stonemill when a sandwich passed $20, gonna have to stop coming here regularly and make this a very rare occasion spot. Which is sad. I just think that’s predatory pricing. Maybe they can find enough billionaires for pay these prices - I guess everything is this world is for the super rich now - even our local bakeries. Let them eat $17 pancakes!

Stopped by here to have lunch at around 2pm, but since they close at 3pm, they had already run out of some great dishes (which narrowed our options considerably, because we’re vegetarian). We ended up getting two cold salads and some fries. The food was delicious! (The sweet potato salad was the best!) The place was crowded but during a slightly quieter time, one might be able to enjoy the ambience better. I’d suggest getting here early (looks like it’s primarily a breakfast spot), especially on weekends.

Chuck's Trading Post, located on the edge of Hampden, offers a vintage bodega-meets-diner ambiance and has been a popular spot for five years. The restaurant features long wooden tables, shelves with jars of tea, fresh produce for sale in crates, and refrigerated cases filled with grocery items. Known for their morning skillets and hearty breakfast sandwiches served on toasted sourdough, it's a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
Was in town today to visit my sons. They suggested Chucks for breakfast. We arrived around 9:30am Sunday morning. We were seated immediately and our waitress Ada got our drink order and we had coffee and water in a matter of minutes. We ordered two skillets and blueberry pancakes. They were served in a timely manner as were the drink refills. Coffee got to half a cup and then it was full again. Never had to ask. Full disclosure, the pancakes did come out gooey in the center. Ada took one look and corrected the problem swiftly. The replacements were excellent. My Seoul Skillet was very tasty and cooked to perfection. I eat out a lot and to be perfectly honest with very few exceptions I have been discouraged by the service I’ve received when eating out over the last year. But today I was pleasantly surprised and very impressed with the service we received. Keep up the great work!

Nice traditional place to enjoy a meal. Visited for breakfast as they open quite early. I took special salad, made fresh but toasts were either re-toasted or over toasted as they were burnt and felt not fresh to enjoy with salad. Overall, salad was nice with peas, juicy tomatoes - Charred Peas and Burrata Salad.

Chucks is my and my partner’s favorite restaurant in Baltimore!! For a while, we were regulars for their brunch (like 2+ times a week)… but recently we tried one of their pop-up dining nights where the theme was AAPI-fusion dishes — they were amaaazing. We tried a Steak Nigiri, Shrimp Spring Rolls, Gnocchi with Pork Belly, Thai Shrimp Omelette, and the desserts (soooo good) we’re Mango Sticky Rice and Matchamisu (matcha-flavored tiramisu)! Every now again you have to try something new and everything we tried blew our minds with how delicious it was. More recently, my partner and I ordered our usuals - him a Turkey BALT sandwich and me an “Even Better with Cheddar”. They’re truly the best breakfast sandwiches in the city and the price is really affordable for the quality you’re getting. We also tried their Pride Pancakes (strawberry pancakes with Marscapone) and they were so good, I will definitely be ordering them again. Last note: Chuck’s service is the best thing about them. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and cares about giving good service, which just makes the place that much more special. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for both locals who need a breakfast spot and visitors looking for the best breakfast they can get around!!

August 27 & 28 / 2025 - Chuck A Cheesesteak Sandwich & Korean Bulgogi Sandwich - both weren't good Turkey BALT - This sandwich is good with extras like more Chipotle Mayo, bacon, tomatoes, and arugula. BLT - This sandwich is very good as well with extra spread. Their sandwich makers seem to dislike cover the sl8ces of bread with any spreads. Plain Pancake - Delicious! No bready taste here. Pancakes aren't dry either. Unfortunately, they don't go the extra mile and make Blueberry Pancakes. I'd be hooked for their breakfast if they served them. Outstanding customer service as remembered back in 2023. I gave a rating of 3 because of the drink and the salad greens. Yes, the salad greens were that good. The Elderflower Spritzer $13 was refreshingly good. July 2023 - We both ordered the STEAK 'N EGGS, which was supposed to be a 6 oz bavette steak. It was topped with chimichurri, which was too oily. The awful tough cut of steak was served on top a beautiful bed of greens in a delicious vinaigrette with hash, which are simple diced potatoes with onions, which are better than most American caucasian breakfast potatoes. My husband said that the grits & cheese were outstanding. Cheers to this. The rye toast was appreciated being that rye toast isn't easy to get at most restaurants. The best part of the entire meal were the salad greens. If you don't know what a bavette steak is TRUST us you don't ever want to eat it. It's tasteless, rubbery, and tough as a tire. It costs $17 and the dish is only worth $10. We would had been more than happy to pay $25-$30 for a REAL QUALITY 6oz filet mignon. This crap was really a shame. We also ordered a glass of the red house wine for the day, which was like simply drinking watered down grape juice, smdh.

The service was wonderful! We went on Wednesday, which is burger night. It was fairly busy, but we were still able to have a party of 7 sit together. The burger was really good! Not "the best I ever had," but definitely "wow, this was good and it hit the spot!" It's also hard to beat the price: burger, fries, and one beer for $15! Definitely going to go back to try the brunch!!

Customers rave about the delicious food, such as the flavorful grits topped with tomato and bacon, as well as the pork sausage patty and fried green tomatoes.
Amazing food and service! I love this location. It’s so much easier to park than the other one and we didn’t have to wait. Granted, it was on a Tuesday midday, but still there was space for us. The manager and server were super nice. I can’t eat gluten and the manager came over to make sure he understood how severe my allergy was so he could tell the kitchen. It was very thoughtful and I appreciate it. They have a really well labeled menu in terms of allergens as well. Out of all of the gluten-free pancakes I’ve had in Baltimore, these are some of the best! My friend got the cheese and tomato sandwich and really enjoyed it.

Excellent southern food close to home! The fried chicken was crispy, moist and slightly sweet, over a bed of perfectly cooked grits full of flavor. The biscuits were slightly spicy with a cheesy flavor and a perfectly baked texture. The collard greens were tender and had no bitterness to them. The buttermilk pancakes were perfectly cooked and had a slightly sweet flavor which was complimented by toppings to make it your favorite dish anywhere. The portions are big enough to satisfy your appetite or to give you something yummy for enjoying at home later! We'll definitely be coming back!

We had a decent time here. My wife and I loved the Crab hash and fried green tomato eggs Benedict. The pineapple upside down griddle cakes had great flavor but there was hardly any cinnamon sauce and they forgot to give us syrup so we had to ask for it over 5 minutes after receiving. The Waitress should have checked back with us after the food arrived but sadly did not. Another suggestion would be for the bussers. Having been one in the past myself they need some coaching on not snatching plates from tables and inquiring nicely to see if they can remove them for the guests. If you are going to pay these prices there should be a little more finishing touches when it comes to the service in my opinion.

He didn’t talk too much but his presence was loud customer service excellent. Swift movement and fast friendly service with a smile . it was my first time and it won’t be my last. He explained the 20’s on the menu and told us about the waffle option my food was delicious and hot. Finished off with candy’s and a customized note on my receipt I was amazed ! 10 out of 10 i recommend. Great local brunch place with great mimosa I went there with my friends on Saturday around noon. It was packed but it took less than 15 min for the wait to get seated. I ordered the Baltimore Bowl which was really good. It was very filling. My friends had pancake with banana and chicken & waffle. They were both good. I would like to try mimosa next time. They seem to have a variety of drinks Parking is difficult unless you park somewhere residential area nearby.

For all the hoopla about this place from locals I found it to be just a hype. I had the blackened salmon with grits on top of fried green tomatoes. The salmon was overcooked and had a sprinkle of blackened seasoning but the rest of it was bland. You can see that from the picture. The fried green tomatoes, which I was the most excited about, were cooked and breaded very well however the flavor lacked, it’s like they forgot to add seasonings to the batter. I ordered to go because the wait was astronomical. However the organization of the take out order and pick up window was horrendous. The wait to order took 25min and we were 3rd in line. However my friend was satisfied with hers more than I was. She had pumpkin french toast and fried chicken. Lastly, I didn’t feel like the price was equitable to my order and service experience.

La Tavola Ristorante Italiano is a spacious and inviting restaurant located in Baltimore's Little Italy district. Chef Carlo Vignotto brings together traditional expertise and innovative techniques to create a menu featuring soups, seafood, chicken, pasta, veal dishes, and delectable desserts. The kitchen emits the enticing aromas of freshly baked Foccacia, garlic, oregano, and market-fresh seafood.
La Tavola, Little Italy, Baltimore So, let me tell you about a little piece of Heaven ❣️ When you need a little break, head to Little Italy, Baltimore and stop at La Tavola, you will not be disappointed. Their special bruschetta with homemade focaccia bread - marinated tomatoes, prosciutto, and pecorino Romano cheese with olives on the side, dinner was homemade pasta with clams and Sardinia caviar (the owner is from Sardinia, Italy), then finished with fresh strawberry panna cotta! The food was absolutely delicious. The bruschetta on homemade focaccia had a delightful mix of marinated tomatoes, salty prosciutto, pecorino Romano cheese, all sitting on soft and crispy bread. The homemade pasta with clams and Sardinia caviar tasted fresh and flavorful, with the clams bringing a hint of the sea and the caviar adding a touch of luxury and authenticity. Finally, the strawberry panna cotta was creamy and smooth, with the strawberries adding a bright, sweet finish to the meal. ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️ The ambiance was comfortable and inviting. No one was sitting "close" to you, the brick gave an elegant, rustic feel. The staff made you feel welcomed. They were kind and attentive, never rushing you. There was no "hustle and bustle" - you were meant to enjoy and savor your meal! Definitely a 5 out of 5! ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

We went to the restaurant trusting the google and tripadvisor reviews. Boy, were we wrong? The food was not even good. I left the restaurant and had Chinese food for dinner. I do not like Chinese food. That is how messed up this experience was. I got the veal dish with vegetables and the gravy was way too salty. The potatoes were burned and the zucchini were undercooked. My MIL ordered the gnocchi. The sauce was weak and bitter. Out of the six entrees we ordered, there was only one of us who enjoyed the meal. Everyone else was sorely disappointed. We ordered two of the house specials and they were just bland. To top it off, the server made a drink stating that the bartender was busy which was very different than what was previously ordered. When we mentioned our disappointment, his response was I added more vodka. So I guess thanks for giving us the drink that we did not order! Anyway, this is another $300 mistake, I won't be making. I am going to Olive Garden next time. Also, gratuity of 20% was already added. Wonder if that was because we were party of six or their norm.

Great corner diner which Guy Fiere had visited and suggested some of the menu items such as the crab cakes. Crab cake is pretty good here. Eggs and crab cakes with home fries were pretty good. The home fries were crunchy with light salting and flavoring It was delicious. Service was very good with the one server serving the whole restaurant there are about 10 booths in this place. Not a large restaurant actually pretty small diner. The menu was pretty large. Food came out very quickly. This place is worth a try if you are in Fells Point Baltimore.

8/10/25 - Outstanding customer service. We went on a Sunday and seating was plentiful. Just one waitress and two cooks. Women's Bathroom was clean, albeit not paper towels. Only booth seating which I loved. The booths were spacious and clean. I couldn't believe that this hole in the wall actually offer patrons sea salt & pepper grinders. Amazing! So appreciated. Over Easy Eggs, Turkey Sausage Links, Diced Potatoes, Rye Toast, Pulp Orange Juice - I was told that the meal was good. Blackened Chicken Caesar Wrap had a lot of grisle and white stones that crunched in my mouth like big pieces of sand. French Fries were awful. I was hoping for pancakes but I saw them served and they looked like round pieces of cardboard so I declined. Will I return nope.

Been going here since I moved to Baltimore in early 90s. Many after bar shift meals here I dont remember other than having a belly full of good diner food. Just went again the other day for 1st time in maybe 20 years....still great food. Get the Dutch pancake you can't go wrong with that or any of the breakfast items. They used to have a great cheesesteak but even though we went for lunch still opted for breakfast. Check out this Baltimore staple, The Sip & Bite keep up the great work!!

Arrived in Baltimore city for a family wedding weekend looking for a nice place to grab lunch near our Airbnb. Sip & Bite worked just perfect for us. Fareedah provided us with attentive service and a smile! The chef/cook behind the counter wanted to make sure my sister liked her burger or he was willing to cook her a new one. I had a fish sandwich which hit the spot… it included grilled onions, which were yummy. The onion rings were very light and delicious bite to bite! The place is really small, but if you get a table, you’ll get good hot food at a reasonable price.

This was quite disappointing. We got the country fried steak with eggs and the Chesapeake Benedict with legendary crab cakes. The bad: The steak tasted off, like the meat was bad so I only had two bites. The home fries were a bit hard and seemed like they had been reheated from the previous day. The biscuit was just ok. The crab cakes were ok, not legendary. The good: The eggs were done perfectly and the sausage gravy was ok too. Overall experience was disappointing. Will not be coming back.

We arrived just after 4, they close at 5. The line cook audibly groaned when we walked in then glared at us the entire meal until he locked the door (with us inside) at 430 then proceeded to sweep up around us. Our waitress was very friendly but not especially attentive. We visited based off a Diners, Drive-ins & Dives episode for the crab cakes which were good but not worth the trip. In general, all food was fine but dry & simple. The meal was pricier than its worth also.

Overall, I enjoyed my brunch while visiting this establishment. The cornmeal pancakes with cream drizzle was just right!!(not too sweet). I also their lemonade and latte 😋 Will definitely recommend to friends and family

We enjoyed our vegan brunch dishes and desserts. The breakfast sandwich had great flavors which meshed extremely well together. We enjoyed the veganwaffle which was made to perfection. We've experienced several different vegan waffles, this one was one of my favorites. The roasted brussel sprouts were a bit too oily for me. The desserts were good.

This is a somewhat eclectic spot on the Hampden main street. They offer a wide variety of entrees (with a southwestern/hispanic twist), including burgers, burritos, and enchiladas. All were tasteful and decently sized portions, but were quite pricey. They have lots vegan options, and supposedly started the first Vegan Week in america. They have a lot of seating indoors and can accomodate larger groups. Definitely worth a visit!

I've thought about writing a review for Golden West Cafe several times but haven't, because, ultimately, I always return. We used to go more often for brunch, but my boyfriend and I stopped when we realized that hot coffee refills were few and far between - so now we only go few and far between for hair-of-the-dog brunch. When server quality varied wildly in the dining room we stuck to always sitting at the bar rather than take the risk. When we had two instances of grease-pillow tots because the frying oil was too cold, we started ordering side salads. The brussel sprouts are usually either too wet or just burnt. If we don't check the specialty burgers for each ingredient before the server leaves ( because we know at least one ingredient will be missing), then we know that we need to emotionally accept that we won't get the ingredient. We do this because the great experiences at Golden West Cafe outshine these flubs, and calling over a server for every little thing would be miserable for the server and us. The more experienced staff are GREAT. The food when cooked appropriately is delicious. The bar program has always impressed me. We can take our whole family with all their dietary restrictions, preferences, and allergies. So this is why I haven't complained. But tonight I visited the restaurant for the first time since its bar move and what I saw finally made an issue big enough for me to talk about. As pictured, the placement of the new bar in conjunction with the wall seating and air conditioning vent makes access to the only restrooms completely inaccessible to anyone other than the able-bodied. When I brought this to the attention of one the servers, he gave a heavy sigh of realization and told me that no one had thought of or brought up this issue at all during the whole process. And now what I thought were once little quirks of GWC feels like people not paying attention to the details - this one, particularly significant. I really root for this restaurant but I feel like it's constantly shooting itself in the foot with all these oversights.

This is thebcoolest diner you'll ever visit. The unique decor (Buffalo heads, antique ceiling, dolly Parton on the bathroom stalls, and old portraits) makes this place a delight to visit. You'll see something new each time you swing by. The owner is friendly and the food is good for the vegetarians and the carnivores among you. The vegan food needs work as what is on the menu is highly processed and salty...but at least they gave it a shot.

Golden West Cafe has a laid-back, eclectic atmosphere with bold wallpaper and quirky wall decor. While the space is visually fun, I was a little surprised to see taxidermy moose and deer heads on the walls—especially at a place that proudly offers so many vegan options. That’s more of a personal preference, but it caught me off guard. The staff was friendly, though not especially personable. Service was smooth and efficient, though. The food was the real standout. We ordered two dishes: the Vegan Hot Honay Chick’N & Waffle and the Aztec Burrito. The Vegan Hot Honay Chick’N & Waffle was fantastic—crispy, flavorful, and surprisingly spicy in a way that was still enjoyable (and I don’t usually like spicy food). The plant-based chicken was one of the best I’ve had: well-fried and juicy. But the real star was the sauce—it pulled everything together. I could honestly eat this every week. The Aztec Burrito had a nice twist with the plantains inside, giving it a subtle sweetness. We kept it as-is (no added meat or vegan chorizo), and while the flavor was solid, the black beans overpowered the plantains unless you were looking for them. Too many black beans. Both dishes were $15.99, which felt like a fair price—especially considering how filling they were. Vegan food often comes at a premium, so it was nice to see reasonable pricing. I also appreciated how clearly the menu marked vegan options and how flexible the dishes were. It’s definitely a great place to bring a group with diverse dietary preferences. I’ve attached photos of the menu for reference. I’d absolutely come back again and try more—this place makes plant-based eating exciting and satisfying.

Cozy Spot with Great Food and Vibes Loved my visit to Golden West Cafe! I had a hot chai latte that really hit the spot, and the High Mesa polenta with chorizo and an egg over easy was delicious. They were super accommodating with my gluten-free needs and brought out corn tortillas without me even asking. The vibe is laid back and comfy—perfect for a relaxing meal. I’ll definitely be back!

Blue Moon Too is a popular cafe located in Federal Hill, offering a funky setting and creative variations of breakfast favorites. The cafe is known for serving Baltimore's best breakfast with a side of scenic views. The retro-goth decor, featuring playful paintings of pop icons on a dazzling mural, adds to the unique ambiance.
We had breakfast at Blue Moon Too this past Monday, and it was our first visit of many to come. Even for a Monday morning, the place was decently busy, but we were greeted and seated right away. The service was warm, welcoming, and on point from start to finish. I’m not usually a big breakfast person, but eggs benedict is my go-to, and theirs was absolutely amazing. My boyfriend's french toast was rich and delicious on its own, but the real showstopper was the Captain Crunch French Toast. We ordered just one slice to try it, and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and perfectly balanced—not overly sweet, just insanely good. The space itself is bright, quirky, and full of personality, with tons of amazing local art—I even ended up buying a small painting before we left. All in all, this was hands down the best breakfast we’ve ever had, and we’re already planning to come back when we're in town again in August.

I can’t type without salivating over the memory of my meal there. Sweet Baby Jesus will have you blaspheming all day. A generous portion of crab cleaned impeccably. It was a first time in my life I’ve had a crab dish without finding a stray piece of shell.

List of food we ordered are mentioned below. Amazing place to have brunch in downtown, our first time and we loved each and every dish and good portion size, only bad part is they have nothing to entertain kids like crayon, drawing something that would keep kids busy but overall place and food is worth visiting. Also to mention food take good amount of time to get on table so be prepared if you have kids. What all we ordered: Drinks: Hot coffee (7/10) they only have one type of coffee Orange juice (5/10) Food: Sweet baby Jesus (9/10) Hell fire (8/10) Mexican omlette (7/10) Captain crunch french toast (10/10) Side Bacon (5/10) Universal omlette (7/10) Red velvet pancake (9/10) Place is worth the hype and service is good as well. Suggestion: please provide some fun stuff for kids that they play with like crayon and all.

Let’s talk about Sweet Baby Jesus…. Hashbrowns topped with crab, cheese, tomatoes, egg, and finished off with housemade hollandaise sauce. What could be better than that?? Nothing. This cafe is a must visit with their huge portions and interesting but delicious options. Huevos Rancheros was also good!

The food was good. The coffee was okay. But the hot chocolate made up for the mid coffee. That aside, love the esthetic and ambiance. Its a vibe and a mood. So will come back again to try more items. Had the "Sweet Baby Jesus" which wasn't a religious experience but nonetheless a really good eggs Benedict style dish.

Delicious! We went for the Sweet Baby Jesus and the crab was delectable! We also enjoyed the Frito French toast - very unique and tasty! Serving sizes were big we split both. We also got a Sin Roll which was sweet in all the right away. So good!

Definitely quite busy during the brunch time crunch but delicious food!! Servers were nice. Really enjoyed the crab dip French toast and sin rolls are super indulgent. Hash browns hit the spot. Absolutely hits for the decadent brunch spot.

I had the pleasure of dining here for breakfast on Friday with my co-workers, and we all had a really nice time. We sat outside, but the weather was perfect, which made the experience that much better. The severs did a good job managing the large party. I ordered a coffee and a pumpkin pancake (because my mind is already ready for fall). It was very delicious and the portion size was very generous! There were white chocolate chips hidden throughout the pancakes which were a nice surprise :) I want to come back with my husband some time soon and try some of their other breakfast items!

Pitango Bakery + Cafe is a beloved spot in Fells Point, offering a delightful array of handcrafted, organic gelato and locally roasted coffee. The menu features housemade pastries like cruffins and chocolate croissants, freshly baked breads, and coffee drinks made with Vigilante Coffee. Sit indoors or enjoy the historic cobblestone streets outside while savoring their delicious offerings.
Delicious coffee, yummy food, and a great view - what more could you ask for? Definitely recommend stopping in when you’re in Fells Point for breakfast, lunch, or just a pastry. Great food options for vegans and vegetarians. I highly recommend the avocado toast. You can sit by the water and watch all the cute dogs go by. A great spot especially on a nice day!

Improved Review: While the name suggests Italian recipes, the place actually specializes more in Italian-style sandwiches. That said, everything is very tasty and well-prepared. The atmosphere is calm, and the service is quick—perfect for a relaxed meal. If you’re feeling extra hungry, you can customize your order by adding ingredients like eggs or additional meats. Just note that, for now, only fried egg is available as an extra. The good thing is that any item on the menu can be upgraded to suit your taste.

Great location, great view, and great seating options. Usually a short line to get your order in, but the staff are quick fast and will bring your order to you out quickly. Variety of options for drinks from coffee to hot chocolate with all tasting great. Drinks are a bit pricey, but it’s well worth the premium over cheap machine made drip coffee. If you’re looking for a place to go on a nice weekend in Baltimore just to sit down and get some work in, this is a great choice.

Amazing, fresh baked goods and food! Love their almond croissant and lattes. All the focaccia / bread on the sandwiches is delicious. Friendly service and great atmosphere, right on the harbor!

Pitango is the best bakery in all of Fells Point. The food is incredibly fresh and well made. They also have stellar beverage options. My wife loved their latte and I thoroughly enjoyed the Sipping Chocolate. The sandwiches are on beautiful homemade bread and they use really high-quality ingredients for reasonable prices. For alcohol, they have a small selection of craft beer and cocktail cans as well as some bottles of wine for sale. However, in the evening they partner with their neighbor business, V-No Wine Shop, to sell some of their high-quality wines. They even will pair them with Pitango's charcuterie boards! The views are also fantastic. They have plenty of seating inside, but the small outside seating is what makes it. you are sitting right next to the harbor and get to enjoy the views of Fells Point. Whether you are coming in the morning, afternoon, or evening, this is a great option for food, drink or relaxation.

Ordered Latte with extra sweetness, Macha latte, Roasted beef. And they were all great. Coffee itself is very reasonably priced. Also, crossing was exactly how I wanted. Also, employees were so patient and kind cuz it took us some time to decide what we wanted. If you are in Baltimore, this is a must-visit place. Will be coming back.

Dooby's is a trendy coffeehouse and restaurant located in the heart of Mount Vernon arts district. It offers a small menu of global fare from breakfast to dinner in a minimalist setting. The place is known for its great coffee, fabulous food, and relaxed atmosphere, making it perfect for studying or enjoying a well-done meal. The food at Dooby's has unique Asian flavors with a twist on classic American and Baltimore staples.
What a great experience! Friendly service, delicious food, quality coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere make this a place I will definitely come back to. Flavors of everything were amazing, and the meal was filling. The music was also a nice addition to the vibe.

It was a beautiful day. I wanted to sit outside and have a coffee. I got a Latte. It was good. There is plenty of seating outside. A review doesn't get any simpler than this. As with other reviewers, that staff is not very well educated on the products and was not very helpful. I asked about the size of the burger patties, and the young man behind the counter proceeds to make a circle shape with his hands to show me. When I asked how many ounces they were, he did not know, nor did any of the other staff. What was amazing to me was that not one staff member took the initiative to walk over to the kitchen to inquire. Problem solving skills anyone?
M — Google review
Dooby’s is described as a Korean-inspired café, and while the menu does reflect that influence, the exterior and interior don’t give off a distinctly Korean vibe. That said, it’s a cozy, modern spot with a wide selection of coffee drinks, pastries, and food items—definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. I stopped in for a coffee break and tried one of their house-made syrup lattes. I went with the Miso Caramel latte ($4.50), subbed with oat milk for an extra $0.75. It didn’t have a strong miso flavor, but it was still smooth and enjoyable. I also grabbed a Lavender Goat Cheese Scone for $4, which was a highlight. You could see the lavender tea leaves baked in and the goat cheese crumble gave it a savory edge that balanced the floral notes beautifully—highly recommend trying it if you like unique pastries. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, with plenty of seating. It’s the kind of place where people come to chat, study, or work—easygoing and not too loud. They also have a water station with free water available, which is a nice touch. Check out the menu photos if you want to explore more food options and prices. I’d definitely come back to try their full menu next time. A great spot for coffee, conversation, or getting some work done.

I had high hopes for this spot based on the reviews but left pretty disappointed. The pork belly benedict wasn’t great; the poached eggs and scallion hollandaise were watery, the kimchi was nonexistent, the buns tasted old, and the pork belly could use more char and a sauce of some kind. The potatoes tasted old and like they had been refried multiple times. The coffee was sour and the decor/paint in the cafe could use a refresh. I wouldn’t go back again.
Liam B — Google review
This visit was unfortunately not a good experience. The overall level of the food and drinks was below average. The Japchae with pork belly was poorly done and quite disappointing. The Pork Belly didn't seem to follow any standard preparation well. It wasn't thin and nicely stir-fried, nor was it rendered and crispy with charred edges. It ended up being this oddly textured, lackluster middle ground that just didn't work. We also tried a sandwich, it basically felt like separate components – bread, meat, sauce – put together without any thought to how they should blend. The flavors didn't meld, making each bite feel disjointed. Beyond the subpar food, the service was strange. We paid an 18% tip, assuming standard table service for a sit-down meal. Even though we paid an 18% tip, we still had to take our own dirty plates to the dish bin when leaving. Cannot recommend.

Great cafe and lunch spot. Food is pretty good. Free water is warm.

This was my one and only stop in Baltimore and I was not disappointed. The cold brew was like any other cold brew and didn't exceed any expections but I didn't come for the coffee. For lunch, I got the brisket banh mi and the kimchi potato salad and WOW was it delicious. The brisket could have been a little warmer but the flavor made up for it. The potato salad was like no other and paried perfectly with the banh mi. I wish I had something like this back home!

The restaurant caters to families and even accommodates special requests, making it a great choice for dining out with loved ones. Had just the most incredible cheeseburger here, and my friend had the chicken & waffle - we were both wonderfully satisfied, as the place seemed to have the magical power of “hitting the spot” that both of us were craving. Couldn’t have imagined a better place to go for brunch. Don’t miss it! Even if you have to wait a while - it’s worth it! Will be dreaming of this spot for a while!

We were there for a 60th birthday 🎂 breakfast. We were seated quickly. Our waiter was fabulous. He was attentive, courteous, and had a happy attitude. A guy who took his job seriously with joy. I had a veggie omelet and buttermilk pancakes. I loved the omelet, eggs done just right with lots of vegetables and cheese. It was a big enough to take 1/3 home. The pancakes were delicious. The dishes others had were chocolate chip pancakes, blueberry pancakes, French toast, crepes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and English muffins. Everyone was happy with the quality, and the coffee was robust. This was my 1st visit. Ill be back.

Went to Original Pancake House with my family after church. A friend of mine said that the food was good and that I should check them out. The wait wasn't long, about 10 mins, and the host was pleasant. Our waitress was pleasant. My wife ordered the Southwestern Omelette with pancakes. The omelette was huge. My son ordered the chicken and waffles and hashbrowns. I ordered banana pancakes that came with 2 eggs, bacon, and choice of hashbrowns or home fries. I chose the hashbrowns and had onions added. The food was excellent. The pancakes were light and well sized. I would've preferred the bananas mixed into the pancake batter since the upcharge was 2.99, but they were good nonetheless. The pricing was good, and they included the gratuity in the bill. They allow service dogs in the restaurant. That may be a deal breaker for some. I asked to be seated away from the dogs. I parked on the street, but there is a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. We will be going back.

Generous, flavourful, fluffy, crunchy - they’ve ticked off all the right food adjectives and our breakfast was 10/10! There was a significant wait, around 20+ minutes, but the pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs and chicken&waffles were all worth it !

We have visited TOPH multiple times in multiple states. Our visit to this location is usually great. Today my pancakes, hash browns, and bacon all had a funny aftertaste. My eggs did not they were good. My husband’s pancakes had the same aftertaste. I notified the waitress and asked if the eggs were cooked on a separate grill. She stated they were made in a pan. I could tell that they were cooked separately from the other foods. I requested that my order be removed from the bill. The owner came over and apologized, which was greatly appreciated. However, he mentioned that they don't use chemicals on the grill. If you don't use chemicals, how do you clean the grill? I found that statement odd. It's okay if the grill was cleaned with a chemical or solution and it wasn't cleared off properly. I rather that then you don't use chemicals. Using plain water is not cleaning a grill and I would be silly to believe that a chemical wasn't used on the grill. My husband's food was good (shrimp omelet) and we will return in the future. I will chalk this up to an off day as no day will be perfect. The waitress was amazing and the other staff was as well. The waitress also apologized for the taste.
Miiz M — Google review
My waiter didn't seem to care much about the needs of his customers. When we got our bill there is 18% tip automatically added. This place is also kinda dirty..the kind of dirt that says, tomorrow the doors could be locked for good. In closing if you don't know what a half pound burger looks like, go to Pete's Grill on Greenmount and place your order.

Came in on a gloomy Tuesday for some pancakes . A friend of mine had mentioned this place , so I figured I give it a try . Came in around noon and the place was empty, yet very clean. The smell of hot pancakes was every where . . I ordered the 2x2x3 meal (pancakes , eggs and sausage ) and it was just okay . The pancakes had a weird after taste to it that I couldn’t quite out my finger on . My scrambled eggs could have been scrambled a tab bit harder and was sausage was great as is. Overall my food was just okay . My friend said his waffle was on point ! So basically the food was okay ( not bad nor great) . Our waitress was nice and attentive . I would come back just to try other items like their French toast

This bakery brings back such good memories! It reminds me of the heyday of the Sandtown/Upton neighborhood where small business owners proudly served their community. The baked goods are SO good! (And I have to add the Chocolate Cake to the Must Try list.) But, as important is the environment: warm, friendly, always immaculate. Chatting with other customers about what's good just adds to experience. Do yourself a favor: Treat yourself to a visit. You won't regret it.

The restaurant serves a variety of dishes, including chicken and waffles with the option to substitute for French toast or pancakes at an additional cost. Customers have praised the delicious food and friendly service provided by knowledgeable staff. Easy Like Sunday was so delicious!! A friend of mine and I went for brunch a few weeks ago. I got the Tuscan bake and a couple of pancakes. We got the mimosa flight($45 option) and my friends got the French Toast with "a little taste of everything". We both enjoyed our food and that flight. The Tuscan Bake was definitely the star of the show though. So much flavor the instant it hit my taste buds. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other options.

I really love their Avocado Toast! One that you can crave for every now and then! 😍 The place can be so crowded and noisy as the tables are really close to one another. If you are claustrophobic, try not to visit during peak hours, you'll regret it. Also, it take 25-35mins to wait for table when it's peak hours. But this is my go to place when I want to eat something good! ❤️

I've eaten here twice (breakfast & lunch). Customer service was awful the first time, but it was great the second time. As for the location, it's roomy, has spacious booths, clean bathrooms, and is never too crowded. Short Rib Skillet was ok the first time. The eggs were absolutely perfect. The short rib was flavorful and seasoned well. Unfortunately, the menu claimed that the potatoes were seasoned, but they definitely weren't. The second time, the eggs were brown. The potatoes were still bland. Grilled Shrimp were blackened and seasoned perfectly. The Shrimp and Grits were flavorful, but the portion was small. Their Short Rib Grilled Cheese was very good. The fries were delicious. Rose Lemon Drop was very tasty. Cowboy Bacon was just ok. Cranberry Juice was $6....ouch I'm thinking that with some of their prices, sea salt and peppercorn grinders should be offered to diners.

Ordered the avocado fantasy and a Reuben with chips and drinks. The avocado fantasy didn’t have any avocado, the Reuben was tiny, and they forgot half the chips and drinks.

Located in a historic building on East Pratt Street, Hard Rock Cafe Baltimore offers a high-energy vibe and serves classic Maryland seafood alongside American favorites. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor dining options, making it a casual yet trendy spot to grab lunch after visiting nearby attractions like the National Aquarium. Inside, guests can admire rock 'n roll memorabilia such as James Brown's iconic three-piece velvet suit designed by Zeigler & Zeigler.
My family and I visited the Hard Rock Cafe in Baltimore and had an amazing time! The atmosphere was electric—fun, lively, and full of great music and energy. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was top-notch. Our server was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The location by the water adds a beautiful touch to the vibe. Perfect spot for families, great food, and good times. We’ll definitely be back!

My family stopped in for a late lunch after seeing the National Aquarium. The server was really friendly. We were sat at a table with only 3 chairs for 4 people but they brought over another chair for me. Service started a little slow but we were able to order everything we wanted including milk shakes and Newcastle Beer. The nachos were fantastic. I added steak which is not a cheap option but it was a great addition. My meal was the salmon which was overcooked for my tastes but most places overcook fish especially if it waits under a heat lamp. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we appreciated the friendly service. It definitely was a little noisy in the restaurant but it was busy and bustling with a family crowd enjoying their meals.

I have been to Hard Rock 3 times and this was the most comfortable and most memorable experience. Rich was an amazing server and his charisma made you feel like you were personal friends! Thank you for making our trip wveb more special! PS: With the exception of the doors, this is a wheelchair friendly establishment!

Well, we decided to Hard Rock. Big disappointment the kids menu. I wish I had taken a Pic but my twins were really hungry. The portion was a joke!!! We come to dinner every year as a large group of always 10 or more and every year the server we get is AMAZING, absolutely amazing. No reservations, just straight party seating with no problems. This year we had Eric for our server and he was fantastic. He let us know very clearly what any specials were, his own recommendations and gave us options for substitutions. He made sure to check up on us in a timely manner and was always very pleasant when approaching the table. For a total star rating I rated 14/15, missing just one star out of the atmosphere category but even with an empty dining room it was very welcoming for us.

Seafood restaurant
Mama's On the Half Shell is a popular tavern in Baltimore that has been serving up top-notch seafood since 2003. Whether you're looking for a casual Sunday football spot or a place to celebrate special occasions, this eatery has got you covered. The menu features an array of seafood options, including a delectable seafood omelet for brunch. Even furry friends are welcome on the outdoor patio, where they can enjoy belly rubs and water bowls.
So my kids and I were starved after a day of appointments, shopping and a barber appointment. We decided to stop by Mama’s On The Half Shell since it was on the way home. We were greeted by Gavin and seated immediately. Gavin waited on us and was very professional and friendly. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back, thank you!

This place with a lot of fun. The food was delicious and all the people were nice. Parking was easy and the food came out quick enough. The only problem we had was we asked for an appetizer two times and it was forgotten both times, they were busy though so it's not a big deal but something to note.

Mama's on the Half Shell is a cozy seafood restaurant. It is really nice to visit this restaurant in the fall and winter because of their fireplace. They also have great daily deals and seasonal drinks. We ordered salad, calamari, seafood and crab soup. The staff was very attentive until it got crowded. The prices were a little high for sandwiches but sufficient for entrees. Overall, I would go back to check out the deals and order another salad. I would recommend anyone that is looking for cozy spot with nice tunes to go here.

The food was amazing especially the Rockefeller oysters! I had one order and couldn’t resist so ordered another. The crab cakes were impeccable too! Every bite tasted so fresh! The Mac n cheese pairing was perfect! Of course the raw oysters were great!

Our final night in Baltimore was one we’ll never forget, thanks to the unforgettable experience we had at Mama’s on the Half Shell. This wasn’t just a meal—it was a celebration of flavor, warmth, and world-class hospitality. Let’s start with the food, because wow. Every single dish that came from that kitchen was divine. The crab egg rolls are an absolute must—crispy, generous, and bursting with Maryland’s best. The half-pound steamed shrimp? Perfectly seasoned and plump. The Brussels sprouts were charred and caramelized to perfection. Our crab-topped salad was fresh and flavorful, and the lamb chops—oh, the lamb chops—were infused with rosemary so deeply, it was as if they had been marinated for hours in a garden of flavor. And then came the Maryland rockfish, flaky and bold, honoring the region’s seafood legacy. Order any of the soups!!! The cocktails were on point. The Manhattan was rich, balanced, and expertly crafted—no shortcuts here. And just when we thought we couldn’t eat another bite, we made room for dessert—because at Mama’s, you make room. The bread pudding was soul-soothing, and the cheesecake was luscious and light, the perfect ending to a spectacular meal. Now for the service, which truly made the evening shine. Brian and Michael were nothing short of phenomenal. Their energy, recommendations, timing, and genuine care for our table struck the perfect balance—never intrusive, always attentive. And then there was Mauricio, the manager (we hope we’ve got his name right!), who quietly brought dishes to our table with such warmth and grace that we didn’t even realize at first he was part of leadership. When we began chatting—as we tend to do—he humbly shared that he was indeed the manager, and later returned to check in on us before leaving. He even sent over dessert to close out our evening. It was that kind of night—every detail handled with care and love. This was hands down the best meal we had in Baltimore and we had a lot of meals - and one of the best meals we’ve ever had, period. Every dollar we spent felt more than worth it. If you’re visiting Baltimore and want to experience something special, Mama’s on the Half Shell is it. No question.

Mamas on the Half Shell absolutely delivered! The Oyster Rockefeller and Maryland Crab Soup were outstanding, packed with flavor and freshness. The Fish & Chips were perfectly crispy, the Sriracha Brussels sprouts had just the right kick, and the Rockfish topped with Crab Imperial was simply amazing. On top of the great food, our server John was phenomenal! Hands down the best server I’ve had in ages. Friendly, attentive, and on point with everything. He made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!

I had an excellent bison burger there! Their beer selection has some good local drafts, too. Waitress was super friendly. It's definitely worth a lunch stop there! Hostess was friendly too!

Nice place with decent service. Obviously a bit loud, but not awful - especially for a bar in Fells Point. Friendly service, just a little slow, but a lot of Baltimore charm. Pictured is the crabcake sandwich. A bit too wet for my liking, but it was fresh and the sweet potato fries were good as well. If there were more seats outside, we would've sat outside - very nice views of Harbor East and the Sagamore.

I ended up coming here for brunch after some of the more popular places had a 25+ min wait. The positives were the wait staff were absolutely amazing. They were so considerate of my dog and made sure to give him lots of love. We got the crab dip, pulled pork waffle and tuna wrap. The crab dip was actually great, and might have been one of the best ones we’ve had during our trip. The pulled pork waffle was a little sweet.

Delicious! We stopped here unexpectedly (the restaurant we were headed too could not rally to open on time) and we were quite happy. The gumbo was fabulous. The only problem was that it was so good that I could not keep my spouse away from it. My wife loved her salad and the Creole Omelet (brunch time) was great. The weather was nice so sitting outside was a bonus and our server was on top of everything. Our former favorite place down the street lost out!

Rec Pier Chop House, located in the Sagamore Pendry hotel in Fells Point, Baltimore, offers a rustic-modern Italian chophouse experience. The restaurant serves an upscale menu throughout the day and is known for its delicious organic breakfast. Guests can enjoy a flavorful brunch with highlights such as sweet crespelles, carved pit beef, blue crab Benedicts, smoked salmon display, and a variety of cheese and charcuterie.
Was in Baltimore for all girls birthday weekend celebration and we stayed in the Sagamore Pendry. My daughter booked reservations for the chop House prior to going to concert at arena. When we arrived our table was awaiting our arrival. It was a perfect location in front of the beautiful picture windows across the front of the restaurant. Our server and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Our server took a few pictures for us and suggested different drinks appetizers and entrees as well as special for the evening. Everyone in the group have been there before except for me so it took me awhile to get through their very extensive menu. I found several items I wanted to try and so we did just that ordering a little bit of everything. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and appetizers. Our food took a little longer coming out however when it arrived it was very hot in temperature and extremely tasty. I had the pasta that had the crab meat with jalapenos and bread crumbs. The ambiance is very beautiful to include the fixtures furniture even down to the dishes. I enjoy detail and was pleased that this establishment also took pride in details as well. I will definitely be back when visiting Baltimore!

This Restaurant is connected to the Pendry Hotel. Just walking into the doors you know it's fancy. You start off walking down this long elegant hallway and you are greeted by the staff. We decided to go to the bar and order drinks. The bartenders are very knowledgeable of what they are making and very professional. The place is quite dark and sometimes hard to see. The pictures were coming out very dark but I understood what they are trying to accomplish with this type of lighting it's really a romantic and intimate feeling around the restaurant. There is a piano with live music when we went there was no one playing but you could see the piano. After we had our drinks we walked outside to the courtyard. Very interesting setup the courtyard is surrounded by hotel rooms so you can actually see into people's rooms they are all like that which seemed a little weird like they are watching you or you are watching them kind of feel. We did not have a hotel room but I think I would keep the blinds down the entire time I was staying there. Or suggest not getting a room that is connected to the courtyard. But overall the place seems nice and very clean.

We visited for brunch while staying at the hotel. Such a disappointment for what we were paying to stay at the 5 star hotel this is housed in. The food took a long time to come out considering it was fairly empty. For $24 I was served liquid folded eggs instead of the soft scrambled eggs I ordered. The “rustic potatoes” were huge chunks of unseasoned baked potato lightly fried. The sausage was way too sweet and overcooked and the sourdough toast was very hard. My partner got the burger which was just very salty, the meat was dry but the bun etc was sopping wet. We ordered OJ which turned out to be $8 and was just Tropicana.

From the minute details in the design of the restaurant to the final touches of the mouth watering cuisines this fine establishment delivers to their guest - everything was above excellence! I stopped in on Friday and had the King Salmon only to come back the following evening for the filet mignon and of course more oysters. I've been coming to Fells Point for almost 10 years and this restaurant by far stands out from all other fine and eclectic dining destinations. I will be back!

Rec Pier Chop House A wonderful culinary experience in the gorgeous Pendry Hotel. This was my first visit to the Rec Pier Chop House. Started with a delicious Caesar salad, next amazing Roasted BranzinoTuscan Beans, Salmoriglio, cooked perfectly, we enjoyed a few sides of broccolini, asparagus, polenta (a first for me, and absolutely not my last) and potatoes   For desert, we shared sorbet, a fabulous chocolate wedge cake, and a taramsu. This was an elite dining experience. From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. The ambiance, the food, and especially the service. We were seated right away and greeted by our waiter pretty much immediately. We ordered the Linguini Fini, Tomahawk, and creamed spinach. When I mean everything was amazing, the Linguini Fini might’ve stolen the show. Ben, our server, was extremely kind and attentive. Definitely ranking Rec Pier at the top of my list.

I decided to try a restaurant in Canton. The atmosphere was pleasant, and I liked the concept of the brick walls. I started with a Baileys on the rocks, and as you can see from the photos, I had a glass full of ice with only a shot of Baileys. Yes, I sat at the bar. Next, I tried the passion fruit lemonade. This restaurant offers a limited menu for brunch, so I would recommend coming for dinner; however, on the day I went, I was told they were closing early for a private event. After studying the menu for a while, I selected the Caesar salad. It doesn't have the usual Caesar taste. The dressing was green and had a tart taste to it. Also, they used baby spinach, and they added pickled onions. Next, I ordered a hamburger well done, but it wasn't, and my fries were overcooked. I enjoyed the frozen lemon meringue tart. Also, I tried the biscuits, and they were hard and cold.

Celebrated my daughter's birthday at Gunther & Co after reading the phenomenal reviews. Had oyster samplers, Brussels sprouts app, Yuzu vodka cocktail, scallops entree, and the table sampled the array of amazing desserts. Service was fantastic, and everything we tasted was sensational. The cocktail was light and lovely, the pickle brine oysters were my personal favorite, the Thai-inspired brussels - 🤌👌, the scallops melted in my mouth, and just whooooooaaaa on those DESSERTS... Well done, G&Co! It was an experience to remember!

Definitely 5 stars! The ambience is perfect. What was previous a brewery has become a very nice restaurant, with industrial and modern architecture. The food was spectacular. We had octopus as an appetizer and for mainly dish, duct and short rib with brown risoto. We went there for my husband’s birthday celebration. When making my reservation, I kindly asked if they could provide a desert with candles and “happy birthday” on it, and they did it as a surprise. Highly recommend!

All of us enjoyed our food - rolls, duck breast (pictured), roasted chicken, fried chicken, tagliatelle, eggplant, chicken sandwich, sherbet and sorbet, cheesecake, and key lime tart (pictured). The pork chop was out of this world!! Lick my plate clean level sauce work. A member of our party is gluten free so for a 5$ upcharge we could add crudité to the hummus plate (and the flatbread for the rest of us was magnificent). I was expecting a few carrots and celery but the plate of raw veggies was a beautiful variety. That was a lovely option for all of us! The server was very knowledgeable about the GF and cross contamination aspects of the menu so we appreciated that greatly. Also the Basque cheesecake was so yummy!! I don't live in this part of the country but this was "drive all night back to Baltimore" good.

Dinner at Gunther’s was amazing. We shared a few appetizers and each did not disappoint. The space was a revitalized industrial space (brewery) with beautiful brick and metal accents throughout. The area was well-lit and open. Bathrooms were clean. Our server was attentive and descriptive when talking through different dishes. We started with the baked oysters, grilled octopus, crispy pork belly, and Brussels sprouts. I had the duck breast for the entree and it was perfectly cooked, soft, and flavorful. For dessert we shared the pumpkin custard and some spice bread. Cocktails were balanced, just had the old fashioned like drink myself. Overall, definitely recommend a visit and will come back in the future!

Atwater's Belvedere Square Market is a popular chain cafe known for its light fare and locally sourced ingredients. The owner, Ned Atwater, takes pride in offering the best locally sourced fruits and veggies in their salads. Customers can enjoy options like Bibb and watermelon salad with goat cheese, Mediterranean salad with lemon-tahini dressing, or kale salad with granola. The cafe also serves amazing cups of soup made with fresh, often organic ingredients.
I really enjoy coming to Belvedere Square just to walk around and hopefully find something different to eat. Today, I tried Atwater's Chicken Salad. Be mindful of the expiration date and ingredients on the package. Great customer service too

This is my second visit at Atwater’s Belvedere Square for breakfast. I was picking up my glasses in the vicinity and decided to give one last chance for breakfast. So disappointing again! My bacon was so burnt and scorched that it fell apart when I tried to pick it up. When replaced, I was presented with dripping grease bacon and not the extra bacon that I paid for. I advised that I paid for extra bacon and received after. My potatoes were so old that they taste like they’ve been stored for days in the refrigerator. When I put my fork in the potatoes they cracked and fell apart. The taste was awful. Most of the onions on the potatoes were recooked and also scorched. So much grease. The eggs freshly cooked but poorly presented. They were also semi-burnt. The presentation overall was horrible. The taste was very dissatisfying and quite disturbing to my tastebuds. Again, this was my second visit for breakfast. It is most certainly my last. My first visit with my son was horrible. I had to have our food remade. The bacon then was also super burnt and potatoes were old and everything was dripping with grease. I will continue to bypass Atwater’s during my visits at Belvedere Square. To add, my dissatisfaction of the scorched bacon was not displeasing to, I think, the manager (Asian female) as she poured the new bacon as the grease dripped ahead of the bacon, on the rest of my food. So distasteful and just disgusting. Maybe the fix would be new management, food & safety classes, presentation classes, updated/refreshed customer service courses. It’s such a poor look on Belvedere Square overall.

Of all of the Atwaters in MD this one is my favorite. It has so much charm and it is quaint. It is great for solo or group breakfast or lunch. I really love that they change their beverages with the season. They also offer local jams/preserves, pastries, kombucha and kimchi. It is easy to drift away here with a latte and book for hours.

I have eaten breakfast here several times. However today 7/30 8:00 am the service wasn’t up to par. I asked for extra syrup and it was never brought. I asked for soft bacon 🥓 it was hard. I requested cheese on my egg, the cheese was just thrown on top barely melted. I called for more syrup, not wanting to leave my plate outside. When the syrup was brought to me it was ice cold. Wow….before this the service was top quality. So the 5 stars I would have given has been reduced to 4.
The R — Google review
I've been going to Atwater's for a couple of decades. Their soups and salads are wonderful, and for the period when dinners were offered, the vegetarian entrees in particular were terrific. Also excellent espresso and coffee. I do feel, though, that the bakery items and desserts are not what they once were. I remember their having delicious things like almond pear tarts once upon a time, and several excellent fruit pies. However, nowadays all the baked goods seem to me wayyy too sugary and lacking in actual flavor, from the muffins to the chocolate cake to the key lime pie. Also, unless one sits outdoors, weather permitting, the noise level in the renovated Belvedere Square food court is really really high--not conducive to conversation.

Nice place to eat in town. They serve breakfast, sandwiches, salads and coffee. The food is very good. The place seemed busy all the time. There are fridges where you can grab your own drinks, but you have to pay when you're finished eating. Apple Pay is accepted.
My son introduced me to David and Dad’s. We ordered carry-out breakfast. The cinnamon french toast was delicious, as well as the turkey sausage, scrambled eggs and cheese, and sweet tea. The cafe offered a relaxed atmosphere under an aesthetically pleasing ceiling with intricate molding and lighting along with huge windows used for outside viewing as well as a partition between the bar and cafe room. There were ample tables and seating available. Staff were pleasantly helpful. Customers waited patiently with a number given to each. No sad faces. Orders did not take long. The food selection was vast. Napkins and utensil were of high quality. I loved David and Dad’s! Plan to return in the near future. By the way, they also cater. I caught glimpse of a huge box lunch catering order being prepared in a separate room.

What an amazing place!! A repurposed bank that has become a trendy breakfast eatery that offers a ton of different items including traditional breakfast plates and also more modern options like smoothies. I tried the avocado toast and unfortunately neglected to get a picture because, and trust me in this, if you could see the plating, you'd drive there for an order right now! A delicious balsamic drizzle takes it over the top! Just when I thought I was satisfied, we tried the smoothies and I highly recommend the peanut butter banana for a filling and slightly sweet treat! 😋 The coffee comes with free refills which is a nice touch. My only critique is that the way the tables are arranged makes the eating area a bit tight and somewhat difficult to make your way through the tables, like when you want to fix your coffee. I recommend a different arrangement to help open it up some more. Have a great breakfast here!

Great decor and atmosphere. Clean. Great menu. Reasonable prices. David and Dad's is in an old building that used to be a bank. It has the wow effect for sure. It is hard to find a good deli anymore, so I'm glad I found this place. I would put it on par with McAllisters. Great offerings of deli sandwiches and staples like cole slaw and potato salad, as well as soups, salads, cheese steak, fries, and some hot entrees. My roast beef sandwich was piled high with everything that I wanted. The bread was good and soft too. But I wish that they would spread the meat out to the edges of the bread so that the sandwhich was flat. They had a nice complimentary water station set up, and they also had staff to take away your dishes. The restrooms were on the lower level and they looked clean, however, the floor was all sticky, so I decided not to even use it. Overall, it was a nice place and I will go back.

Fantastic Italian Panini and lemonade. Really great buttery bread cooked perfectly; banana peppers were a nice touch. Really fast delicious lunch spot for jurors at the courthouse across the street.

Was slammed at work, so ordered from here and asked for a delivery. Got a daily special - a delicious, buffalo chicken wrap (just the right amount of heat) and a bag of chips, for $10.95. You're not going to beat that price anywhere, for a proper hot sandwich and side. But, get this, I made a mistake when ordering, causing the delivery driver to have to make an entire separate trip, for $11!, back to where he had just left, and he could not have been nicer or more professional. Name is Eddie. Class act. This is a great outfit - food and people - and I have eaten here over 100 times, literally, so this is not just based on one good chicken sandwich. :-)

Entry door is not visible when driving on the street, as it faces NE into the intersection of St. Paul (one way N) and E Lexington St. Until walking, I did not actually find the place. HOWEVER, I am glad that I spent the extra time to actually make the visit. If I lived in Baltimore, I would probably eat here at least once a week. The food and service were top notch. The prices were very reasonable for any metropolis. Free refill on a $2.25 drip coffee. And the building is cool.... No games with pricing. You pay when you order. Please look for and contribute to the cash tip jar! Thank you to the owner, for keeping this establishment the way it is. I created a review last week with a different user ID, prior to eating, as a reminder. I am unable to access that review, to edit it. I am not trying to over comment on this location.

Pay them a visit and TIP GENEROUSLY!! I truly appreciate the hard work and stellar customer service from the staff here! For vegetarians, there are multiple options, and they are flexible with modifications. Their deli sandwiches, baked goods, and seasonal drinks are all delicious. Seriously, give one of their iced tea refresher specials or cafe drinks a try ... you will not regret it.

Blackwall Hitch Restaurant is a casual yet upscale restaurant located in the heart of Baltimore's trendy district. Offering mouthwatering food and beverages, great local music, and friendly service, this spot is perfect for any occasion.
Excellent food and service. We did brunch on a Saturday morning. We all had a drink. The Bloody Mary was a little spicy, which I liked. Chocolate Peanut Butter martini was like a dessert. Crab cakes and breakfast sandwiches hit the spot. Would go back. Glad I talked the group out of going to The Hard Rock.

We really enjoyed our meal at Blackwall Hitch. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was also outstanding; our server was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Parking was convenient but quite expensive, so be prepared for that if you’re driving. The biggest drawback was the location. Unfortunately, downtown Baltimore has become noticeably less inviting. The area around the restaurant was dirty, and we encountered several homeless individuals digging through trash and asking for money, which made us feel a bit uncomfortable. That said, once inside, Blackwall Hitch offered a great dining experience. If you’re planning a visit, just be aware of the surroundings and plan accordingly.

After looking forward to eating at this restaurant for a while, it turned out to disappoint at every turn. We sat at the bar where there bartender seemed like she was miserable being at her job and had her belongs sprawled out across the bar. While the rest of the staff stood in a corner openly playing on their cell phones. Our drinks had no coasters or napkins (I had to get my own) under them and served in dirty glassware. We ordered the shrimp and grits and what was said to be chorizo was quite clearly ground beef. Zero spice, zero attempt to mask the fact they’re using ground beef. My husband was served risotto that tasted awful. When we tried to pay our bill using a gift card, the manager refused to honor it. We had called the night before and spoke to a host to get the balance and after being told we needed to call a partnered restaurant to do so, he assured us we could use the card at their location. The manager flat out told us we should’ve asked to speak to a manager instead of a host for a very simple request. Instead of trying to fix any type of mistake his staff made, he shrugged his arms in a “oh well” fashion and walked off. If you are looking to have a mediocre dinner accompanied with awful customer service, this is the place for you.

Visited Baltimore for the weekend and decided to try Blackwall Hitch. The decor and overall atmosphere are absolutely lovely — elegant, stylish, and inviting without feeling stuffy. We ordered the mimosa bucket, which runs about $50 and is actually a great deal for the amount of champagne included. Definitely worth it if you’re brunching with friends. To start, we had half a dozen oysters, which were fresh and flavorful — I’d give them a solid 8/10. For my entrée, I had the crab cake eggs benedict, which was good overall. I just wish the eggs had been a bit more poached and runny, as they were slightly overcooked, but the flavor was still there — 7/10. My friend ordered the Baltimore breakfast skillet, which was hearty and filling — lots of food, and everything tasted fresh. The only thing that fell a little short were the grits; they were a bit grainy and underwhelming. However, the sausages were great and well-seasoned. Service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and quick. The staff made sure we had everything we needed, and I also have to mention that the bathrooms were spotless, which is always appreciated. Overall, a great experience with good food, great service, and a beautiful setting. I’d definitely go back next time I’m in Baltimore.

It was my first time at this location. My friend and I were looking for a place nearby to eat and asked someone in passing who happened to work there. That was lucky for us since we were very satisfied with our dining experience there. The fried green tomatoes came on a bed of grits, and they were yummy. My friend also had a crab cake sandwich, and I had crispy shrimp tacos and the sauce had a nice kick. So good! Even the french fries were delicious.

Service was fantastic! Our server was great and offerred recommendations since this was our first visit to the restaurant. The food was good! We ordered the Eggs Benedict with asparagus and Chicken and Waffles. It was a nice day so we ate outside on the patio. Definitely want to visit this spot again!!

Went with my family (2 adults and 2 kids) on 9/6. My wife loved her shrimp tacos, and the kids loved the cheese pizza. I might have just ordered the wrong thing but the fish sandwich was the blandest dish I've had in awhile (wife concurred). The waitress got us some tartar sauce and we tried to add that and it was still not helping unfortunately. Our waitress was great, when she was there but disappeared for 15+ mins at a time. For example, we got our food delivered, took a bite of the sandwich... And was next able to ask for tartar sauce at the same time I asked for the check because everyone had finished their food. Fries were great. If my wife wants to go, I'll go again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Visitors praise the efficient service and reasonable wait times despite its small size. The diner offers generous portions of classic diner fare and Greek dishes, with the friendly Greek brothers who own the place often seen mingling with patrons.
What a wonderful breakfast. Server was on point and the food was delicious. Ham and cheese omlette with plenty of cheese! The creamed chipped was perfect. Prices aren't too bad either. Definitely recommend this place.

No complaints at all. The inside was smalls but the service was quick and efficient The food was amazing , the service was beyond great , and the overall wait time sit and eat was little to none. I definitely would come back for the south side breakfast sampler … it was delicious !!!

Awesome spot in Baltimore! I got the Gimmick Burger, which has egg and bacon on it; it was delicious. Also, the Home Fries were the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot of home fries). My server Lisa had a warm and kind demeanor. Clean plate club for lunch today 👌

I was quite impressed with this diner. I love pancakes but have stopped ordering them when I go out because they taste like they're made from a mix instead of scratch. My husband encouraged me to try the pancakes here and I'm glad I did because they were delicious. I also ordered a side of bacon and it was done exactly how I like it so I was quite impressed dining here. The service was excellent. We sat at the counter and the waitresses chatted with us and ensured our coffee was topped up. I'd definitely return 👍

Quick, Delicious, and Friendly Southside Diner really impressed us! The food came out incredibly fast, and the service was attentive without ever feeling rushed. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful—especially the Athena omelette with feta and gyro meat, which hit the spot. My partner also enjoyed their omelette, and we both thought the coffee was decent too. Great value for the price, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

I really enjoyed this place. A pretty standard breakfast and lunch diner with really good service and great food. Prices were also reasonable. A great place to go to sit at the counter and grab breakfast or to go with a group of people.

The food was amazing. The service was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was just a little loud. Dishes being banged together and a kid sitting on the most squeaky stool kept going back and forth squeezing it. That's why only 4 stars for atmosphere. The rest was great.

If you find yourself in Baltimore, make sure to stop by Pete's Grille, a beloved local gem known for its hearty breakfast and lunch offerings. Nestled in a charming red brick building on Greenmount Avenue, this diner is the perfect spot to indulge in generous portions of classic comfort food served right at the counter. Breakfast lovers rejoice!
Top notch place in Charles Village area! This was recommended to me as a brunch spot a while ago, and I've subsequently brought many other friends here. I usually get one of their platters with an omelette, home fries, and toast. Their biscuits and gravy was top notch as well. The environment is 100% old diner style, where you sit up at the counter and the cooks will make and serve your plate right in front of you. Portions are large for the price, which I really respect given the place's fame (apparently Phelps ate here quite a bit). Seating is limited though, because there are only counter seats. I myself have never had to wait for seating, but I've seen others have to.

Tried to get a turkey & ham club, but they only make turkey clubs. I had to order a ham sandwich that I tried to turn into a club, which they made sure wouldn't be anything like a club. Everything I asked to be on the ham sandwich was missing. Just crazy! I made it clear that I knew I'd have to pay for the requested items. Fries weren't even okay. They looked good because they had a coating on them. I will not return.

My sandwich was good but the waitress slid my drink to me and it tipped over and spilled all over me. She seemed very annoyed and like it was my fault when she stated "well I tried to slide it to you" but who slides a full drink to someone? I was not offered anything to clean myself up with, she told me my straw was in my bag and to have a good day. Better customer would be appreciated.

This was my 1st time visiting and I truly enjoyed it. The food was very delicious and the server was attentive to our needs. I love the relaxed environment and the friendly conversations. This is a very small place and we did have to wait for seats to become available. It was very busy during this visit. There's only one cook but you also get to see him prepare the food depending on where you're sitting. I would go back again and recommend anyone to try it out, but again be prepared to wait because this is a very small place.

Nothing was particularly seasoned or flavorful, but the waitress exhibited excellent customer service—I would return for that reason. The food alone is 3 stars, but the quick and attentive service bumps the rating to 4. This place reminded me of Waffle House with the bar style seating, but there are no table tops here.

Duck Duck Goose is a stylish and modern French-inspired restaurant located in historic Fells Point, Baltimore. The restaurant, led by chef Ashish Alfred, offers a contemporary take on French cuisine in a classic brasserie setting. The menu features dishes like grilled broccolini over almond puree and lemon curd, as well as a seared burger topped with gruyere cheese and blueberry jam.
My sister, Surreal W. Smothers, and niece, Madison, brought for my belated birthday Brunch. I had French Onion Soup, Duck and Waffles, and Eggs. Everything was simply delicious. The service was excellent. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you!

I'm not sure where to start with Duck Duck Goose but it is hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to in the city. Duck Duck Goose specializes in French cuisine and has seasonal menu items. When I visit, I always go with whatever duck dish they're serving paired with some Foi Gras. This occasion in particular was spectacular. The duck was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. The sauce complemented the meat quite well and was savory but also tangy. The beans added a complementary contrast for the dish. Each bite was delectable. We also got the seasonal gnocchi which was also marvelous. I am always looking forward to coming here for special occasions (It is quite pricey) and am never let down. I highly recommend!

A cozy little festive spot with some seriously fancy and delicious food! The prices were a bit high, but the quality was top notch and the servers definitely can point you in the right direction based on your preferences. I really enjoyed the cocktail menu, and the burger and fried rice were both excellent. If you're in downtown Baltimore and want something a bit fancy, you should definitely check this place out.

Very delicious food. We chose to go here for our last day of a short stay in Baltimore and we were not disappointed. The seats were fairly comfortable, although we had a booth table. On a Thursday evening it was not busy. My fiancée and I ordered appetizers and shared an entree, which I would do again. The flavors were excellent, especially on the duck confit, the steak tartare, and the escargot. I'd recommend the chocolate mousse for dessert. We also tried the pavlova. The latter was fun for the novelty, but I didn't find the flavors to be too interesting (especially in comparison to everything else). Portions were a little small, but we didn't mind. The prices, I think, while high for the area, were below what we've seen in other cities for high quality French cuisine, so I have no doubt the restaurant has close margins here. Service was quite attentive. All in all, I recommend coming here. Maybe not the place if you're starving and just want to stuff your face ; instead, you'll enjoy dishes that make you feel like it's fine dining. Our subtotal was around $100 for two people with three appetizers, an entree, and two desserts. Not bad at all for a date night!
Solosian — Google review
This is (or was?) my favorite restaurant in all of Baltimore. The food here is consistently great. They removed the grilled foie gras from the menu, but had duck liver pate as an alternative which was still pretty good. My favorite is the duck fried rice, and you can never go wrong with the Escargot. I would rather have a baked Camembert instead of deep fried, but it was pretty good. Overall, I left with the feeling that they are making the menu more American and less French, and this breaks my heart. The truly awful part of my latest visit was the service. The waiter had NO idea what he was doing. He missed part of the order and forgot about our drinks. Most of the evening he was MIA, and never cleared the table before bringing the next dishes or the bill.
Andres G — Google review
I’ve had this place on my Baltimore bucket list since I was in grad school and could only dream of affording a place whose google page had $$$ on it. This was absolutely magical. The food was delicious and the wait staff was very kind and attentive. I would recommend treating it like small plates and only getting the appetizers because the cost of the entrees to the quality wasn’t great. The small plates are where this place shines. They were great with identifying foods with my allergens and brought out champagne for us after dinner to celebrate our special event! Will definitely be going back.
Bmore C — Google review
Food was disappointing. Duck confit was dry and overcooked, rice was too salty. Could not finish the food. The lamb had tons of fat. The French onion soup was good. Service was ok. After we returned the food, they did not charge for one of the 2 entrees. After reading the reviews, I thought it was going to be much better. In my opinion, way overpriced for the food served.
Eduardo C — Google review
Ouh là là! This place was sooo good! We came in a group of 14 and they sat us at the center of the restaurant in a lovely, elevated table. We order almost everything in the menu and nothing disappointed. The steak was delicious and I still dream about the croissant bread pudding. It was outstanding and a perfect way to end the evening!

Mexican restaurant
Restaurant
Tortilleria Sinaloa is a popular Mexican eatery in Fells Point, known for its homemade tortillas and authentic cuisine. The restaurant has been a staple in the area for over 15 years, with a dedicated team that continues to serve up fresh tacos, tamales, and seasonal soups. Some of the original crew from Sinaloa still work at the shop, bringing their traditional recipes to life.
The only reason this spot gets 4 stars for atmosphere because it is strictly take out. Not a place to eat your meal. The homemade corn tortillas are the best on the East Coast let alone in Baltimore. Service is friendly and efficient. Great chorizo and eggs. Authentic Sinaloa which is difficult on the East Coast. This review is from a native Californian where we have the best Sinaloan Mexican cuisine in the country. This place rivals any Californian restaurant as far as authenticity.
L C — Google review
This unassuming Mexican spot in the Upper Fells neighborhood is a hidden gem. Their prices are reasonable, people who work here are lovely, and the food is quite decent. Tacos/tamales are delicious (they have lengua!), and their eggs with sausage & beans are a solid hangover cure. Most importantly, this is my go-to spot for tortillas; they make tortillas fresh in the restaurant and sell them in kilos: perfect for taco days at home with friends! Worth noting, the place is quite small, but I never had an issue finding a spot. Also, it is mainly for grabbing a quick bite, so don’t expect a sit-down restaurant experience.

Exceptional tacos and guacamole! Had the Al pastor and carnitas — both were great. The habanero and tomatillo sauce that come with were excellent. Guac is pricy but you get a lot. Primarily a take out spot but they were super fast—didn’t wait more than 5 min for my order. One of the best I’ve had in the neighborhood—will definitely be back
Preston E — Google review
The best tacos and tamales I’ve had in a long time. I ordered three tacos (barbacoa. Asada. and chicken). The barbacoa taco was my favorite! It was juicy and tasty! The tamales are also delicious! This place makes authentic Mexican food, unlike so many other Mexican restaurants. The service was fast and courteous. The food is to-go only. There are no tables or chairs to sit on the premises. I walked a few blocks to eat on a harbor-front bench, though! I paid around $24, which may sound expensive; in reality. I got a lot of food, I highly recommend this place next time you’re in Fells Point!
Leticia R — Google review
This place is a must every time I’m in Baltimore. I don’t think the owner is Mexican but most everyone who works there is and they make thousands of fresh tortillas every day. I love stopping by early to eat eggs and chorizo when the tortillas are fresh & hot. The tacos are a must and I particularly love the barbacoa & al pastor but you can’t go wrong with any taco option. They make good tacos de lengua too.
Ray M — Google review
Just north of Fells Point is a small taqueria popular among locals. Walk in and order at one of two registers. Within 10 minutes, your order will be ready. There’s a long window table, but most people get their order to go. Here’s my experience: 1) Menu: It’s large and includes tacos and other platters. My wife and I ordered the chorizo tacos. They were full of flavor, but more dry than other chorizo tacos we’ve had. They came Mexican style with onions, cilantro and salsa on the side. We also ordered guacamole, which is where we went wrong. It was way too limey and more watery than solid. It’s among the worst we’ve had. Guacamole is a staple so it made us wonder about this place. 2) Service: It was friendly and quick. 3) Space: It’s a quintessential taqueria with no-frills. It’s perfect.

I loved this place!! Very delicious food. It is very Authentic tasting. Come here if you want GOOD mexican food!
Denise M — Google review
This establishment makes their own fresh tortillas daily! I was very impressed, upon entering, that a man had a tortilla-making machine running at the front counter. I ordered two tacos with extra chicken. The tacos were ready in two minutes. Needless to say, the tortillas were delicious. The chicken was dry, but flavorful. Curiously, the texture and flavor of the tacos were more reminiscent of a Chinese wonton than a taco. Despite this fact, the tacos were scrumptious. Two zesty sauces were also served with the tacos. I appreciated the tasty radish garnish. Don’t count on the tacos to fill your stomach. I would need ten tacos to fill me up. These tacos, however, are a tasty treat (and worth $10)!

Disappointed is an understatement to learn the trouble my fiancé and his family went through to get our wedding cake that was supposed to continue a generational tradition of family wedding cakes from this bakery. They were provided a plain pound cake when we had agreed and scheduled with the folks at this bakery months in advance for a specific design. Even at the tasting staff was abrasive and not welcoming. We will not be returning, do not recommend.

Do not go here the cake has know flavor know taste at all. It's dry not fresh taste like they have had it for a week. Cupcakes bad also your cake supposed to be the highlight of your party. All they do is icing and that sums up your cake if you are looking for dry tasteless Desert well this would be your spot I will never buy anything from here ever again first impression is lasting. Owned by musicians David and Shirle Koslowski, the cafe exudes a lively ambiance with its bright dining space adorned with album covers and red accents. Baby’s On Fire is a charming little coffee and bake shop with a unique personality. It’s also part record store, offering a small but curated selection of vinyl—a cool touch that sets it apart. The space is on the smaller side, but there’s a good amount of seating, and most people were quietly working on their laptops, giving it a calm, cozy vibe. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I asked who “Baby” was, and they shared that the shop is named after the song “Baby’s On Fire”—a fun bit of character that adds to the spot’s charm. I stopped in for a drink and ordered the Lavender Cardamom Latte. There was a small upcharge for oat milk, but nothing unreasonable. The drink was good—you could taste the lavender, and it was balanced, not overpowering. They offer iced or hot. The cost was $8 with oat milk charge and tax. Overall, this is a great place to relax, get some work done, or just enjoy a well-crafted coffee. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their drink menu! They also have vegan baked goods available.

I really wanted to like this place. The decor is nice, I love that they sell records, and their drinks are usually pretty solid. I was hoping it would become one of my regular spots. But I had an experience that I just can’t overlook. I ordered a large espresso drink, but when it came out, it tasted like warm milk with almost no coffee flavor. I politely mentioned this and asked if they could add an extra shot of espresso. The barista explained that they use the same amount of espresso regardless of the drink size and that I’d need to pay for an extra shot if I wanted it stronger. I was fine with paying more, but I suggested they might want to let customers know that ordering a larger size just means more milk, not more coffee. She brushed off the feedback, simply saying, “That’s just how we make it.” Hoping for a more receptive ear, I mentioned the same thing to another staff member, but she too was dismissive and even caught an attitude, telling me it was “only 50 cents” for the extra shot. However, when I went to pay, I was charged $1.47. When I pointed this out, she snapped back, saying, “No, you’re wrong,” and proceeded to glare at me for the rest of my visit. It’s not about the extra dollar—it’s the dismissive attitude and unwillingness to take feedback that really ruined the experience for me. I won’t be going back.

I’m obsessed with cafes. I make it my business on weekends to get experiment with a new spot to enjoy a cup of coffee while working on my laptop. This place did not disappoint. The neighborhood (Mt.Vernon), the music, the lighting, the furniture/decor, indoor & outdoor seating, the vibes. The list just goes on. The staff were very welcoming. And oh, they sell vinyl records! The cappuccino was the best I’ve had locally. The cold brew was ok. Can’t remember the name of the chicken salad I ordered. But it tasted better than I anticipated. Fresh ingredients is always a plus. Also tried the vegan brownie. I’m not into vegan foods. But I figured I’d try it anyhow. Wasn’t disappointed. Will be returning sooner than later.

Great coffee shop with a chill vibe. Coffee is excellent, service is fast and friendly, nice selection of seasonal concoctions. Food looked good but we did not order any food. The space is clean and inviting.

Best espresso in Mt. Vernon! They know what they're doing. Foam is perfect temp, not too hot. Americano also, perfect temp for tasting. Staff are kind and attentive. Gluten free baked goods. Greek yogurt is yummy 😋 my go to for coffee.

Nestled in the heart of Canton Square, Cafe Dear Leon has been a sensation since its inception. The cafe is renowned for its delectable housemade pastries, including the popular Basque cheesecake and Japanese-style tamago sandwich that caused a frenzy during the pandemic. With an inviting ambiance and friendly staff, this chic eatery offers an array of freshly baked treats such as scones, quiches, and croissants.
Happy 5th birthday to Cafe Dear Leon!! What a wonderful place to have in Baltimore. I don't go often, but every time I have gone it has been consistently amazing. This weekend they had a special croissant filled with raspberry and vanilla cream - it was so good. A perfect balance of flavors, great textures. Definitely an indulgent treat, as there was a lot of cream inside the croissant, I split it with a friend. The ham and cheese croissant was also excellent. My friends loved their blueberry lemon ricotta danish and crap dip bagel. The only slight let down was the filling to bread ratio in the coffee bun- the coffee cream inside was great and we wanted more! My iced latte was also great. I will note that we went on a Saturday morning and 9am and waited until 10:15am or so before getting to the front of the line and ordering. It was a pleasant day and I knew we'd be in for the wait, so I didn't mind. Only 6 customers can be inside of the shop at a time and there's one cash register. There is some seating outdoors and there was a water cooler available when we were there, which was nice.

Cafe Dear Leon is a small yet busy bakery and coffee shop in Canton Square in Baltimore, MD. I have been several times and suggest that if you decide to come down, prepare to wait a bit, just depends on their bake schedule and how much time you have. They frequently run out of items but that speaks to the quality of the food they put out. Never hand anything bad there honestly. Today was the crabby Tobago while it was tasty I do prefer the original. Also had the smores cookie which was phenomenal. Give this place a try if you're a food with a sweet n savory tooth and fan of the small bakeries out there!!

When I travel I always skip tolls. Not to save money but it takes me off the beaten path and through small towns a s big cities to find great food. In this case I came across Café Dear Leon. Everything was delicious but their Carb Dip Bagel is worth the wait and taking a detour. I bought 2. One for day of and one for breakfast 2 days later. I made an egg sandwich that I added my Fauquier Famous Bomb Sauce!

arrived at around 8:30 on a sunday morning and waited about 30 minutes. SO worth the wait! their sweet pastries are a dream for anyone who doesn’t have a major sweet tooth. i tried the guava & cheese danish, blueberries & lemon ricotta danish, and creme brulee tart from the sweet pastry options, and all were filled so generously without tasting too sweet. both danishes had tart flavors that balanced the sweetness so perfectly, and i’ll definitely be thinking about the guava & cheese danish for a long time!

I have been to a lot of bakeries and this might be my favorite out of all of them. We are truly lucky to have a bakery of this caliber in Baltimore. The Crab Dip bagel and Crème Brûlée tart are divine. Get there early and follow the bake schedule listed on their website. They sell out quick!

It took me a minute before I actually went..... And I'm pretty sure this was Cosmopolitan back in the day (if you know you know) but in any case it's this wonderful place now, so embrace it. Incredible sandos! Why have you not had one? Have 2. YES there will be a line. It's how it goes. Deal with it. It's worth the wait!

Cafe Dear Leon is such a beautiful small shop! Great customer service and has a seating area. We got the crab dip bagel and the crème brûlée tart. WOW these were amazing 10/10

I was really looking forward to trying Dear Leon’s pastries after seeing so many photos on social media. Fortunately, my wait wasn’t bad and the service once inside was quick. The product, however, left a lot to be desired. The baklava latte was sickening sweet and two different pastries had broken custards, which was so disappointing.

As you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting atmosphere adorned with soccer memorabilia and multiple screens showcasing Premier League matches. Renowned for its mouthwatering burgers and tacos, Slainte also boasts a delightful breakfast menu featuring a traditional full Irish breakfast—complete with scrambled eggs, black and white pudding, mushrooms, and toast.
Great atmosphere with awesome service. The two bartenders rock. They covered the entire bar and surrounding tables, always keeping drinks full. The food was good and delivered fresh and hot. The bar itself has a cool vibe with plenty of drinks to choose from and TVs to watch the game on.

Such a cozy Christmas vibe during the holiday season! We came for lunch Saturday afternoon and were seated right away as a party of 7. I ordered the crab cake sandwich and an orange crush. The drink was delicious and the fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing. My sandwich was good, but I felt it could have used a sauce or something along with the crab cake to enhance it a bit more. I tried the lamb stew and cod sandwich as well and loved both of those.

Love this place. The Irish breakfast is so good, crab dip, excellent service. Wow, this place is amazing, seriously. The Irish breakfast is next level delicious; you have to try it! Their crab dip is also incredible; I could eat it all day long. Plus, the service is always top-notch and super friendly. The music and decorations are so nice. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven't already! I love night music; it's so good.

This is the perfect location in Fells Point. An old building that comes to life at a very early hour of the morning, especially on the weekend. This is best place in town to watch Premier league football (soccer) and it's usually packed. It's decorated with a ton of club colors, but many consider it a Chelsea bar and that seems to be the game that gets priority. There is a dining area, but the main bar is the best place for atmosphere. The food is good, especially the Irish Breakfast with delicious Irish bacon. They call them "rashers" so if you want extra be sure to use that word rather than bacon, because you wont get what you want. The waffles are great and the smoked salmon is incredible. The bar staff are very attentive and the prices are reasonable. They also have a bar upstairs, but we usually see the rugby crowd go up there. There is an outside space, which is nice to enjoy a sunny day- a treat is when they have the shucker outside too. The oysters are very tasty.

The Silver Diner is a great stop for airport food. The waitstaff are professional and the portions are just right, so you won't leave hungry. The prices are moderate, making it an affordable option.
I arrived here at Silver Diner BWI at approximately 6:50 and was immediately greeted by my waitress. My food came hot off the grill, and I had not 1 complaint. I sat at the breakfast bar and watched the staff work together as a unit to get orders out, even the manager. I must give a shout out to one individual that I witnessed work extremely hard and stayed busy, but never complained, Ms. Janita! You are amazing, and it was nice to meet you!

The wait time was crazy but we had a long connection so decided to wait. The place was packed, servers were overwhelmed but amazing people. The food was good, yum, and huge portions! I LOVE the decor, theme items and the jukeboxes, wish I had quarters!

Quick lunch in the airport. Our waitress was excellent, and put a priority on a group member whose plane was leaving soon. The host was very friendly as well. I had a salad, and the lemon vinegarette was light and delicious! Friends had burgers and they were great as well.
Amanda L — Google review
Breakfast/Brunch review only: Silver Diner at BWI is a classic American diner with a great atmosphere. They’ve captured the airstream diner vibe perfectly—from the shiny steel exterior, to the counter seating, to the jukebox up front. It’s always clean, and the service is consistently prompt and friendly. The food isn’t the absolute best diner food you’ll ever have, but for an airport restaurant it’s surprisingly good. They feature locally farmed Amish eggs, make solid pancakes, and my wife absolutely loves their iced coffee. If you don’t have time for a sit-down meal, their grab-and-go counter is a much better option than standard airport fast food. Even better, you can call ahead to place an order. That means you can call when your plane lands or as you’re going through security, and your food will be hot, ready to pick up and run. While I can’t speak to lunch or dinner, if you’re looking for a breakfast spot at Baltimore/Washington International Airport, I highly recommend Silver Diner.
Charles F — Google review
This has been a BWI in & out week for us. Both times we found ourselves at the dinner & had great experiences. The 1st was a late dinner and this was lunch. The buffalo wings, Greek salad, & Cobb salad were great. Their homemade blue cheese salad dressing is outstanding. We added grilled salmon to the salad at loved it. At lunch, without asking they split our salad in two bowls since we mentioned we were sharing, that was so appreciated. At dinner I ordered a delicious Old Fashioned Cocktail. Highly recommend Silver Diner. We had a blast picking old favorites from the jukebox on the table & we extremely grateful for the power outlet at the table top level. Both of our servers were fabulous. (Thani & Daizhah) Great job!!!!

I love the diner theme. Such a cool place. Kinda falls short after that. Service wasn’t great. Felt like our waitress forgot about us for a bit. I’d have like my coffee refilled but had to get one to go because it took so long. Crabcake Omlette, when in Rome, or Maryland in this case. Hearty amount of 100% crab meat, no filler, but unfortunately bland. Eggs were browned and slightly overcooked. Very dry. Got fruit rather than home fries, fruit was a bit shriveled like it had been cut and sat in the fridge for a day. Bread was actually really good, didn’t ask if they had any, but some apple butter on there would have been absolutely perfect. Kids plate, scrambled eggs were cooked much better, needs butter though. Pancakes were fluffy and plenty of syrup. A lot of potential to be great if a few changes are made. Overall meh experience, but gotta give kudos to 100% crab meat.

This is a must stop for me anytime I’m in the area. I’ve been coming here for decades, and some of the staff have been the same. Overall we enjoyed the experience. There was a weird smell when you walked in to the diner, but once we were seated we could not smell it anymore. The restaurant was pretty busy so it took a little while for a waitress to take our order. We did get water as we waited. The menu is extensive. A lot of options. Everyone enjoyed their food. The pancakes are a decent size so if you're not too hungry, I suggest only getting them unless you want leftovers. For our family of 6 we were able to eat for around $165 with tip included.

August 2024 - I hate MOST of their food, except for their chicken rice soup, which they rarely have available. I've also been ok with their wheat toast. I don't understand why the chicken rice soup is hard to get. I was told Tuesdays, and then I was told on Thursdays. Just buy more of it and have it available PERIOD! DAMN! I've tried: The awful pot pie... Disgusting! Fish - Isn’t good at all because they won't season it well. Salads are ok, but the Ceasar dressing is gross. They didn't have peppercorn dressing. Short Ribs are not so good, edible, yes, but nasty. Mashed Potatoes...yuk Cream of Crab Soup... Disgusting String beans with tomatoes weird and not good either. Toast great, lol 4/28/25 - Back again because my husband loves this restaurant. I don't! I have finally figured out what is good here after a lot of trial and error. Crabcakes are good. Who would have thought I was shocked. They even had Horseradish. The cocktail sauce is packaged. Chicken Cheese Steak was ok. It had absolutely no gristle. Fries are also ok. Their Cream of Crab Soup is different from last August 24, and it's just as nasty.

Visited here with my sister. Will never be going back... Food: We each had an omelet platter. They were tasteless, and over cooked (flat and dry). The fried potatoes had no salt, no pepper, no onions, and no bell peppers. So, tasteless. Coffee and English muffin were the best things on the table. The meals were a no for me. Service: Our waitress at the table was fine. When she brought the check, we reminded her the coffee was to be free. She said the cashier would take it off when we paid the bill. Well, that was a lot of drama. She wanted to know which menu we ordered from and that the special was for 7am - 11am. We Stated we were here before 11am and she could check with the waitress. She went and grab two different menus and wanted us to pick which one we ordered from ??? Then wanted us to go around the side and look at the sign. I just said forget it, this was stupid and she was acting dumb. She went on about my statement about her actions. Then my sister said if you want us to pay, just fix the bill. Which at this time, was still a hard task..... And, this was supposed to be the manager, who refused to give her name 🤔🤔🤔 Doubl TT in Catonsville is a thumbs down 👎

Came in for brunch, got the special and the huevos ranchero with a coffee and what was supposed to be an iced chai latte. It was originally brought hot and then when the iced one came out I took a sip and realized it was just oat milk with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Thankfully the food itself & service is above par. Parking nearby is paid street parking (except on Sundays) Good place to try out

I come to this restaurant frequently, mainly for their Impossible Burger, and it never disappoints! It’s honestly the best one I’ve had—not greasy like other places—and they don’t just swap the patty, they replace everything with healthier ingredients, so you leave feeling great. The only downside is that it comes with nachos as a side, and I'd much rather have a salad, but that costs extra. Their pastas are also really good, and they have a fantastic selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The staff is super friendly too, which makes the whole experience even better. My only gripe is that they close at 8PM—wish they stayed open later!

Goldberg's New York Bagels and Coffee is a daytime bakery in Baltimore, offering NYC-style kosher bagels and classic Jewish fare. The bakery sources its dough from a New Jersey bagel maker with a recipe dating back to Polish immigrants from the early 1900s. Despite the busy atmosphere, customers praise the quick service and delicious offerings, including sesame bagels with cream cheese and Black Russian bagels with whitefish.

Went to check out their bagels. I’ve only picked up catering platters for work but never have tried myself. (I will say they helped me out tremendously with a last minute kosher platter.) it was very busy in there and it was a bit confusing on where to order. Found a table and our bagels came out very quickly! We tried a sesame flat, sesame bagel with cream cheese and a Black Russian bagel with whitefish. To say my boyfriend was a happy guy is an understatement. He thoroughly enjoyed the bagels and whitefish. We also picked up some rugelachs. The only negative for me was it was a bit messy, especially the bathroom. But in their defense, there was a steady stream of people coming through. We will go back again soon!

Stopped here for breakfast on a drive through Baltimore. Locals seem to really like this place, but for a visitor it was very confusing. There are 5 points of ordering across 3 counters. Each one was inconsistently staffed even during the half hour we were there. It was not clear which line to stand in or who to order from, and they did not have a menu posted. Some items were brought to the table, while others were left at the counter for us to pick up. The food itself was good. The shakshouka was well-cooked and the bagel was good quality. The coffee was terrible. I wouldn't go here again, unless it was just to get bagels and walk out.

I went for the first time, and these were some of the worst bagels I've ever had. I don't know if it was an off day or if they are always like this, but I definitely don't get the hype. Bagels were hard, flat, misshapen (more hole than dough), and did not look like any of the pictures

After hearing about this place often via word of mouth and in social media, I finally got the opportunity to stop by this place for breakfast. Needless to say - they didn’t disappoint. Super friendly staff, amazing food and cozy atmosphere. Make this your go to for an authentic NY bagel experience!

Went here as it was recommended as one of the best bagels in Baltimore. I was yet again disappointed at the quality. It was deeply underwhelming in size, taste, and fluffiness. I tried 2 different types and they were both egh. Even mediocre bagels in NY/NJ area are leaps and bounds better. Really can’t understand why finding a decent bagel is impossible here.
Siobhan D — Google review
I’ve had two recent visits here, and unfortunately, both times I ran into issues with food quality—specifically spoilage. While the bagels are consistently tasty and fresh, the salads, cream cheese, and spreads have been a letdown. They either tasted off or didn’t seem properly stored. It feels like there’s a lack of attention when it comes to managing the freshness of the ingredients, which really affects the overall experience. I’m hoping this is just a rough patch, but management seems to be off their game lately. I’d love to see things tighten up because this place has real potential when everything’s on point.

The Daily Grind is a charming coffeehouse and cafe located in Baltimore's Fells Point neighborhood, accessible by water taxi on the harbor. The casual spot offers freshly brewed, house-roasted coffee and a variety of light fare, including pastries, bagels, sandwiches, soups, and desserts. With indoor and outdoor seating boasting beautiful harbor views, the cafe also features local artwork on its walls.
This is my favorite in Fells Point, right on the Inner Harbor. Lots of food and coffee options, friendly staff, and great atmosphere, you have to try it! My usual is an Asiago bagel with egg, cheese, and sausage plus a raspberry mocha, yummmm! You can sit inside or outside.

The cutest coffee shop in the Inner Harbor. High quality coffee, pastries and a really big space you can post up and work from.

Great little coffee shop in Fells Point. The old space is combined with a plant shop and a great courtyard. The coffee is amazing. One of the best cappuccinos Ive ever had.
Marty E — Google review
The coffee is really good and pretty cheap compared to other places around. However, I also got an egg bagel and the egg was so bland and seemed pre-made. Also, the bathroom is a little bit dirty, but there are plenty of seating options and it is a good place to get some work done!

I recently went to this cafe and was very impressed with the overall experience. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very inviting. The service was also top-notch. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very nice. The decor was elegant and the music was relaxing and refreshing. Best restaurant in state of Maryland.

Beautiful place all around. Excellent atmosphere. Not too hipster where it takes away from the quality but hipster enough where it's beautifully setup with lots of light. The customer service was excellent! They have a lot of bagel type options which I feel like I never see. Prices for food and coffee are reasonable. This was a pleasant find. I'll bookmark to come later. I only took a star away for the bathroom. If they could renovate that, this place would be almost perfect. I wish they had more hours but it works. I like it.
Pamela — Google review
Outstanding coffee, sandwiches and bagels great service. The only reason for the atmosphere rating of one is there are 3 little girls who seem to be always playing and running in the shop. One of them nearly collided with me while adding cream to very hot coffee. It would have burned the child if I had not recovered the cup. As a grandparent I would not want to spill very hot coffee on her.

Charming cafe in beautiful fells point! Great for chitchat, reading or studying; there are many seats with outlets. Sells both food and drinks. The interior is unique, appears as though part of what used to be outside of the building was repurposed. There is plenty of street parking around, but there is also a nearby garage just a 5 min walk down from the place. The location is also right on the gorgeous harbor waterfront

Chick-fil-A is a popular fast-food chain known for its chicken sandwiches, nuggets, salads, and sides. It is often bustling with students at the University Center on Academic Row. The service at this establishment is outstanding, with employees going above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. The location is well-organized and exceptionally clean, with friendly staff members constantly attending to customers' needs. Additionally, it offers hot and delicious food in a neat and sanitized environment.
I had a fantastic experience at this Chick-fil-A near the Baltimore Aquarium. From the moment I walked in, the staff was exceptionally professional, friendly, and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure a smooth and pleasant dining experience. The restaurant was clean, well-organized, and efficiently run, even during busy hours. Of course, the food was fresh, hot, and up to Chick-fil-A’s high standards—perfectly crispy chicken, great waffle fries, and refreshing drinks. Whether you’re visiting the aquarium or just in the area, this location is a great spot to grab a quick, satisfying meal with top-tier customer service. Highly recommend! Also big shout out to Mr Charles! With a Charles in charge I know the cleaning going to be great.

I was actually kinda (pleasantly!) shocked my very 1st visit here because other locations, particularly the 1 near my apt in Glen Burnie MD, I haven't had this type of Exceptional & Attentive Service...not EVER. It's a Shame other places can't train here or come, Observe, and Take Notes because this is how Customers EVERYWHERE should be Treated. Beautiful humans & Experience here, and I do 1-2X month @ this particular Chick Fil A alone, with friend/s, fam, etc. Awesome location right across the street from the Inner Harbor. You can eat in or tables outside as well. Consistently Top Notch, Efficient, Genuinely Friendly Customer Service Weekdays AND Weekends. ALL Staff goes out of their way to make sure everything is good and you are taken care of as a guest. Food is always hot (or very warm), fresh, & tasty. They are always sweeping, cleaning & sanitizing. Warmly Greeted. They taking your order right in the line. I do feel like now it's a little less waffle fries given and the Regular + grilled chicken patties seem a bit smaller... more bun than in yrs past, but then again look @ Our Economy. So. Anyway. A few less hectic periods of time BUT generally Stays VERY Busy & Crowded Most Days. Not so loud you can't hear & talk. Family Friendly. Dates. Eat there alone you'll feel Comfortable too. Lunch. Dinner. Brunch. Recommend.💯✌️

I was really disappointed with my recent order from Chick-fil-A. The food was poorly prepared and the portion size was completely insufficient. My order was barely half full — it honestly looked like someone had already eaten from it. For the price, I expected a proper serving, but what I received was not nearly enough. What’s the point of using a full-sized plate or container if you’re not going to fill it? It just makes the order look even more incomplete. I usually enjoy Chick-fil-A for its quality and consistency, but this experience was very disappointing. I hope management reviews how orders are being prepared and ensures customers get the full portions they pay for.

Got spicy deluxe chicken with the substitution of coke with dr.pepper. Overall the taste was great. Not a big portion but it was decent. The meals came with potato waffle which was really nice. Don’t forget to add chick-fil-a sauce! Service was superb! They deliver the food to your seat and clean everything just after you finish the meal. Clean and nice vibes!

Compared to all other locations. They consistently make the salad skimpy. Rest assure your bowl won’t be filled. And you will only get 1 dressing rather than 2. Be prepared to wait and note there’s no parking

Costel A — Google review
The staff were nice. Unfortunately, that’s the best I could say about this place. First time at Chick fil a, last time at chick fill a. This place was over crowded, so the staff came to us in a long line. I ordered an iced coffee and a hot chicken sandwich. This was 13 dollars — a reasonable price — but not for the food I would soon receive. The sandwich was dry and sauceless. I spent the whole time wish for lettuce or a peace of a tomato, but instead I got two pickles on the bun. My mouth was like the Arabian dessert. I thought “surely this iced coffee will quench my thirst?” I was dead wrong. This was the worst coffee I have ever had. It tasted like someone put too much vanilla syrup and sugar in water. It made my entire body feel a physical reaction as I almost puked at the thought of this sorry excuse for a beverage. I wished I could have stopped drinking, but again, my mouth was so dry a cactus could have grown on its moisturless surface. This was not helped fries. I ate half a container and felt like I filled my daily sodium requirement. By the end, I’m writing this with the biggest regret of my life, and a tummy ache rivaling Vesuvius.

Nestled in a charming corner of Bolton Hill, On the Hill Cafe is a delightful neighborhood gem that perfectly balances comfort and quality. With its inviting outdoor seating, this cozy spot serves up an array of farm-to-table American dishes alongside expertly crafted coffee drinks. Whether you're a health-conscious vegan or someone who enjoys hearty meat options, the menu caters to all tastes without any pretentiousness. Food enthusiasts rave about their sandwiches, particularly the Mt.
I love On The Hill! The people working here (Aaron, Eeron, Erin, Devin, Aáron, and Kat, Aaron) are great and serve great food. I love their breakfast burrito - the portions are huge. They make a great lavender matcha as well. It's great to come early in the morning for the ambiance, music, and vibes. I love vibing! Yes! Thanks Aaron! I love Aaron so much! AARON!!!!

Avocado toast was underwhelming. I can appreciate the natural flavors of each ingredient but a little enhancement would be nice. There wasn’t a speck of seasoning. Too many onions. The tomatoes were cut in half but still big and just fell off the toast. If I’m in the area, I’ll try something else to give them another shot.

It's one of the only places to eat in the neighborhood, so take it as it comes. I would say the food is pretty good, and the employees are friendly. There is not a lot of seating, so I wouldn't expect to eat in the restaurant, but to take it to go.

Wow 🤩 great food! Excellent prices This cafe is awesome- even its location. It’s small inside but they have tables outside and we were able to work on our laptops. You can order from a kiosk and then get a text to pick up your order. Almost self serve because you serve your own coffee or tea but worth it. They have no plates as everything is served in to-go containers but you can eat there if you wish. It’s perfect for a breakfast or coffee date.

Great location for sandwiches and burritos. Really busy so be prepared to be ruder online or have a short wait. Not a lot of seating but there is outdoors. Staff courteous and attentive. Tested plant based burrito that was good but better served as a bowl. A salsa or sauce to accompany would be great. My son had the birria quesadilla and it was good but he said the consommé didn’t taste like a traditional birria and lacked flavor. I would definitely come back to try something else!

I got the delicious gluten free corn cakes with a fried egg and bacon. It was $20 but it was good, there was a nice outdoor seating area of 4 tables, it was a cute neighborhood, and I found parking. They also have gluten free bagels, buns, and their home fries look bomb, I'm going to try those next time.

Smells alone walking into the shop were enough to set it apart from other shops in the area. Great coffee shop with I’d say some of the best prices for coffee in the area. Indoor and outdoor seating were good, will definitely return

Nestled in downtown Baltimore, Werner's Diner and Pub has been a beloved staple since 1950, offering a nostalgic dining experience that transports you back in time. This charming eatery serves up hearty breakfast options, sandwiches, and Greek-American classics that have kept locals coming back for generations. Despite the decline of diners in the area, Werner's remains a cozy spot where patrons can enjoy delicious meals while soaking up the ambiance reminiscent of days gone by.
This diner is definitely old school, so if you’re looking for new and fresh this will not be the place for you. However, my first time visiting the diner was on 2/25/2025 after seeing an influencer post about the restaurant on Instagram. My family and I tried the crab egg rolls, the shrimp, chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits and bacon and eggs Benedict. Everything was delicious and came out fairly quickly. The restaurant is seat yourself, but there is plenty of space. Also gratuity is included on any check and our server Ari was truly a sweetheart.
Tyla L — Google review
Let’s dive straight into this review. Honestly, the experience was underwhelming—very much “phase one of a new restaurant” vibes. While I see potential for growth, the food was just okay—nothing special, nothing memorable. At best, I’d put this place in the “maybe” category for a return visit, though I understand restaurants can have off days. That said, if you’re curious, the unlimited mimosas and lemon drops are worth checking out—probably the only standout. Now, onto the specifics of my order: the shrimp and grits leaned more “stew sauce” than anything, with tasty shrimp but virtually no sausage. The steak and eggs were basic but decently seasoned, and the waffle with broiled “wing dings” - iykyk😒 (chicken and waffles) was fine—not great, just fine. Disclaimer: The cleanliness was definitely not up to par. Dirty beverage carafes (jugs) and dusty countertops were hard to overlook—concerning, to say the least. It was also noticeable that nothing seemed to be rinsed or washed before use… yikes. The clientele: mostly of a specific diaspora of people, uniquely upscale and no scale at the same time, no disrespect I love everyone.

Cute diner with outdoor seating option. Slower service outside so we decided to go in. Service was slow inside s well but may have been due to limited staff. They close at 4pm, we were there at 2pm. Limited drink options from bar because there was no bartender. They didn’t have champagne for mimosas. Ordered the crab cake hoagie and my lord it was amazing!!!! Fries were fried with just the perfect amount of salt. Would definitely come back to try other items on the menu.
Vontrice B — Google review
Not really worth the hype, the service was a zero out of 10. The crab egg roll and shrimp bites were good. The salmon was very fishy. The Mac and cheese tasted like a boiled box of Kraft. The mashed potatoes were dry. The drinks were ok.

Werners has truly outdone itself with a spectacular revival! Every dish on the new and enhanced menu, curated by the exceptional Chef Bobby Owens, tantalizes the taste buds with the most exquisite flavors in downtown Baltimore. The cocktails are a masterpiece, meticulously crafted by their skilled bartender, setting the stage for a culinary journey. From the breakfast offerings to the main courses, each bite is a revelation. The crispy honey Old Bay wings are a standout, offering a perfect balance of sweetness and spice, while the sweet honey shrimp leaves a lasting impression. The salmon stir fry is simply unforgettable, demonstrating the art of perfect seasoning and cooking. The visual feast continues with the gravy lamb chops, accompanied by potatoes and green beans, each component cooked to perfection and brimming with flavor. The shrimp and sausage, paired with silky smooth grits, create a comforting, heavenly dish. The smashburger is a triumph, undoubtedly one of the best burgers to grace the palate this year. To cap off an incredible meal, their desserts are not just treats but a grand finale to an exceptional dining experience.

The food was good. It came out fairly fast and exactly how they advertised on instagram. I felt the waffle was dry. The chicken was amazing. Eggs wasn’t scrambled how I would want them to be they were made into a omelette then chopped up to be scrambled eggs. Then the customer service. I came in waited to order, he brought a glass of Ice water then went to 3 other tables. When he came back around he took my order, didn’t ask did I want anything else to drink. So I stayed with the water.like I said food came out fairly fast and presentable. I received it with No silverware so I’m sitting there til he got close enough for me to usher him over. (5minutes is long sitting in front of a waffle you can’t eat lol).I get the utensils and dig in. At that moment I was eating for less than 10 minutes and was ready for the check. He came over and put gratuity on my One party check. Did he deserve it ABSOLUTELY NOT.

All I can say is PLEASE MAKE THEM WASH THEIR HANDS! First of all the servers don't wash their hands and dig in their ears, bite their nails and wipe their nose without washing their hands. They eating personal food and then returning to kitchen without washing hands. I'm sure that most places skip steps but to be in an area to watch made me almost throw up! I immediately stopped eating the food. I had a microwave steak and my friend a microwave burger for $21!!! The potatoes and bacon are precooked and sitting without a cover! Like cover it... i watched her wipe her nose and then fix the fries on a customers plate! Mind you the customer washed his hands before eating the food, so he definitely didn't want food someone just wiped their nose. Second server dug in her ear and grabbed a plate still chewing her lunch she kept going back to eat. As you see in the picture cook doesn't wear gloves and doesn't mind fixing your food on the plate. . NOW IM WRITING THIS IN THE RESTAURANT AND THIS CHICK SNEEZED AND COUGHED IN HER HAND (SERVER) then went straight to kitchen after lunch to start serving! I wish I didn't see it.. I never write reviews but baby! You risk snot, ear juice, hair and spit from nail biting! Just wash y'all hands! We all do this but at a restaurant is beyond me!

This restaurant appears to be a hidden gem in downtown Baltimore. It had a promising start with live music as its main attraction. I decided to order a garden salad with shrimp, making sure they were not breaded. When my food arrived, I was impressed by the beautiful presentation of the salad with a skewer of shrimp on top. However, I immediately noticed an unpleasant odor, reminiscent of chlorine and crab. The texture of the shrimp was incredibly tough, and it had white spots all over it. Reluctantly, I removed the shrimp and tried to enjoy the salad, but the smell of the shrimp lingered and ruined the entire meal. Although I dislike sending food back, I felt compelled to mention the issue to the waiter. Surprisingly, the waiter seemed absent until closing time when they finally appeared. I explained the situation and requested that the extra charge for the uneaten shrimp be removed. The waiter offered a mere $2 discount for the uneaten salad. This experience has led me to question the overall quality and cleanliness of this particular Baltimore restaurant. If you choose to dine here, I advise exercising caution when it comes to the food, focusing instead on the bar and the live music.

Zeke's Coffee is a delightful family-owned coffee roastery that has evolved since its inception in 2006. Starting from a modest warehouse, it now boasts locations in Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Washington, DC. This charming café offers freshly brewed coffee made to order alongside an array of delicious sandwiches and pastries. Known for its air-roasted beans with unique regional flavors, Zeke's features local blends like Shot Tower Espresso and Little Italy Blend.
Explore Zeke's Coffee Baltimore At Zeke’s Coffee, we use a Fluid Bed Coffee Roaster. In such a roaster, beans are continuously agitated by a stream of hot air creating something that looks like a fountain of beans. This is not only enthralling to watch, but is also a very efficient manner of roasting that allows for accurate roasting temperatures and a more consistent (and less bitter) product than other roasting methods. Additionally, the coffee itself remains very clean as chaff is pushed out of the roaster by the same air that keeps the beans moving, producing a cleaner taste. Upon reaching the desired temperature, beans are quenched then sucked out of the roasting chamber and into a cooling chamber where the heating process ceases and the beans are allowed to cool until they have reached a temperature at which they can be handled. After this roasting process, our beans are stored as individual varietals or mixed into one of our signature blends to be bagged and sent on to their destination.

Zeke's is a must for coffee connoisseurs. Their coffee can be found many places, but here is the real deal - Zeke's emporium and coffee lab. Rhe staff are great and the space very comfortable. Great coffees to order, and plenty of pastries and brunchy-type sandwiches. Cool gifts around to check out and plenty of coffee varieties, some found best here - ground or whole bean.

Hey friends! This review is about sustainability only. 🙂 By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. And over 95% of the plastic that we use does not actually get recycled. For an awesome, local coffee purveyor in a waterfront city, it made me feel sad to see the sheer amount of single use plastic cups getting used by diners coming to stay and enjoy the space. It does seem that you offer real, reusable mugs. That makes me really grateful. But it does not seem that anyone knows to ask for them. I wonder if there are some simple ways you can better promote the reusable option to your customers, so that they have more choice in not polluting our precious planet and our precious ecosystems here in Baltimore. Perhaps that means putting up a sign by the register, encouraging people to order their drink to stay. Or having your barista explicitly ask. Perhaps it means posting something on your social media, communicating that you have reusable mugs as options. You could also encourage people to bring their own mugs if they are walking over from within the neighborhood. But it seems absurd to create so much plastic waste in one sitting on one morning of just one weekend. Thank you for considering some simple ways to ensure we pollute this planet just a little bit less. People do want better options, and it seems that you have some simple fixes available to you now. And to any customers reading this, you can bring your own mug to use, or you can ask for one for here, if you do not want to create trash that will go straight to the landfill, ocean, or incinerator.

I've visited this place twice now. After the first time, I chose not to write a review, hoping it was just an off day. Unfortunately, after our second visit, I feel compelled to share our experience. Visit 1: We placed our order, received a number, and sat down. My husband's espresso came out fairly quickly, followed by our food. He got a pastry, and I ordered the breakfast sandwich on a gluten-free wrap. However, my drip coffee never arrived. After we finished eating, I went up to ask about it. I was especially disappointed because they advertise bottomless drip coffee, which I wasn’t able to take advantage of. When I finally got the coffee, it was missing the oat milk I had requested. The breakfast sandwich itself was also disappointing: dry and flavorless. Visit 2: We decided to give them another chance, but the experience was worse. After waiting 15 minutes with no drinks or food, I asked where we were in line. The woman at the counter told me, “I have 21 drinks ahead of you.” I mentioned we had arrived well before many of those people. They eventually realized our ticket had been tossed and had to reprint it. My husband got his espresso pretty quickly after that. My drink was forgotten again. When I finally got it, it still didn’t include oat milk. I ordered the Zeke's breakfast burrito, no cheese or egg, with added peppers and avocado, and it was barely cooked, cold, and honestly inedible. In the picture look for the "hash browns". They were way undercooked. My husband ordered the lox bagel, which showed up with no lox at all. He also got a croissant with a brownie in the middle and asked for it to be warmed. The outer chocolate was melted, but the inside was still cold. The chocolate also tasted more like cake frosting than actual chocolate. While we waited (again, without coffee), we watched the front counter. It was clearly disorganized, staff jumping from register to register, random people running food, and only two baristas trying to manage a long list of drink orders. It was chaotic. They assign numbers to guests but don’t actually use them to call orders, which just adds to the confusion. At one point, a customer received an iced drink when she expected it hot. When she asked about it, the employee rolled her eyes and seemed annoyed. Before leaving, I asked an older man with a beard, who seemed to float in and out of the employee mix, for a drip coffee refill. He told me, “You didn’t order a drip coffee.” I replied, “Yes, I did.” He responded, “Well, it wasn’t in a mug, but it only costs me 20 cents anyway,” he said irritated as he turned to refil my drink. I checked the menu and saw no mention that drip coffee only counts as “bottomless” if it’s in a mug. In fact, I looked around, not a single person had a mug. Final Thoughts: The food was subpar, the service was frustrating both times, and the organization at the front is a mess. The staff seemed overwhelmed and, frankly, annoyed at customer questions. I really wanted to like this place, but after two poor experiences, we won’t be returning.
Bethany B — Google review
Zeke’s has been a reliable coffee spot for years, and as someone who grew up in the neighborhood back when it was just a little roaster operation next to Safeway, it’s been really great to see them grow. The coffee is solid and the staff is always warm and friendly — no complaints there. That said, I have to be honest: the breakfast sandwiches need serious help. I’ve tried the classic egg, meat, and cheese on a bagel a few times over the years- I’ve even tried the vegan version, and unfortunately, the issues have stayed the same — underwhelming bread, not toasted, often oily, and overall not the satisfying breakfast experience you’d hope for. I’m not sure where they source their bagels, but they’re not great, and they’re not doing the sandwich any favors. It’s a bit of a bummer, because I want to be able to grab both a coffee and a breakfast sandwich here, but I usually end up skipping the food altogether. I’ve also heard similar feedback from others, so it seems to be a common issue. With better bread — or even just toasting and assembling it differently — this could be a totally different story. Maybe a bakery partnership or some tweaks in the prep process could turn it around. Still rooting for Zeke’s. Just... not ordering the sandwich.

As a lover of all things coffee and espresso, this place has great lattes, iced coffee and regular drip brews. The inside has plenty of seating for getting quick bites, studying or visiting with friends. The staff is always super friendly as well. Easily has become my favorite coffee spot in the area.
