Hammam Spa by Céla King West is a serene retreat in downtown Toronto, offering exclusive and diverse spa treatments. The rustic decor and warm ambiance create an urban sanctuary ideal for those seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Guests can indulge in traditional Turkish baths, relax in the Hammam steam room, and experience unique skin, hair, and body treatments such as detoxifying clay body wraps or the signature Cela Seed to Skin Ritual.
Honestly, the location is perfect! Right in the heart of downtown Toronto. Among all the vibrant atmosphere that King St offers to the city, this spa is located right in the perfect place to bring balance to the street. Why? Because this is spa! Omg, I could spend all day here without even noticing the atmosphere outside! From the moment I walked in, I could feel the calm and welcoming atmosphere. Nicholas at the front desk received me with a smile and great hospitality! Manager Cynthia, right after, greeted me with another smile and warm welcome! The whole staff crew at Hammam Spa were incredibly kind and attentive. They helped me understand the different packages and services without rushing me or making me feel overwhelmed, which I really appreciated. I booked a 90min. non RMT massage, and wow! The massage therapist (can’t remember his name) was amazing. I had a lot of muscle tension and knots, and I left feeling like a completely new person. I don’t usually leave reviews, but the experience was so great I had to share my first one! Hammam Spa, you got me! The space is beautiful, the service was thoughtful, and I’m already planning to go back next week with my best friend. It was truly one of the best spa experiences I’ve had in the city. And hey! I love spas! Got a favourite now! Thank you Hammam!

Very nice cozy and clean place. We visited this place for couples massage. My massage was excellent but my husband’s wasn’t that great so it depends on who you get. The tea was a bit disappointing for me as I was expecting Moroccan tea but it’s not. Overall it was a nice relaxing experience.

My friend and I booked the Céla Luxury Spa Ritual to relax and unwind—and it was amazing. From the calming atmosphere to the high-quality Céla products, everything felt luxurious and well thought out. The treatment was super relaxing and left us both feeling refreshed and pampered. We especially loved ending the experience in the Tea Lounge with warm tea and delicious treats. Such a thoughtful touch! Highly recommend if you're looking to destress and treat yourself.

Went with my husband to Hammam spa ant king location and it was so beautiful. I had Tanya and she was so lovely. She did my nails so beautiful I would definitely go back to see her again. The spa was so gorgeous and very relaxing. Staff was so nice and management checked in on us to see how our experience was. Definitely going back

Such a relaxing place! The vibe is calm, clean, and super cozy. The staff are always friendly, and I leave feeling refreshed every time. Definitely my go-to spot to unwind.

Had a wonderful experience at Hammam Spa! The front desk was incredibly accommodating. She gave us a full tour of the facilities and took the time to walk us through the different packages in detail. Her warm and professional approach made the visit extra special. Highly recommend!

I tried the new Lavender Body Wrap Treatment with Vicky! She was so thorough and used the perfect pressure. She made sure I was comfortable and that temperatures were good for me. My whole body also felt like a baby bottom after! So hydrating! Love this new treatment!

I recently came here for the first time and tried the Hammam Rhassoul Clay Wrap. This was my first time having a body treatment done so I was super excited. Since I haven’t had a treatment like this before, I don’t have anything else to compare it to. It was definitely a unique body relaxation type experience. There were a lot of steps in this treatment. It started off with a neck to toe exfoliation, then a full body wash as she poured buckets of water on me to wash off the scrub, then the clay was applied and massaged on me at the same time. I’m not sure how the massage is supposed to feel like but I feel that she could have done a better job as she could have applied more pressure. But since she wasn’t a RMT and this was just a therapeutic type massage I suppose this might just be how the treatment is. The full treatment is 60 minutes, I felt like it was rushed. I think that the exfoliant scrub, the body wash to rinse off the scrub, the clay application, the tin foil wrap and simultaneous scalp massage, then body rinse again was a lot. I did enjoy the concept and steps of this full body treatment but I just feel like I would have enjoyed it much more if there was more time to just enjoy every single step of this a bit longer. The eucalyptus steam room was a really nice feature in the spa. The lounge is small and cozy with a fireplace. There were raisins, walnuts and almonds you could have. After my treatment I got small piece of baklava and turkish delight. I inquired for another piece of baklava which was $5.00 a piece. The pricing here was expensive. However, I’d still recommend it for people to try a body treatment here.

Spa
Body Blitz Spa West is a downtown Toronto oasis offering a range of treatments and facilities to help visitors relax and unwind. This women's only spa features a warm Dead Sea salt pool, hot tub, cold plunge pool, infrared sauna, and eucalyptus steam room. Guests can enjoy the therapeutic water circuit and indulge in cocktails while relieving tension from their bodies. The spa provides robes, towels, sandals, and shower amenities for a clean and refreshing experience.
This is my favourite place to go to get a body scrub. Not inexpensive but worth it. There’s a private room, a heat lamp above the table, incredible staff and therapists. I live almost 3 hrs away and when I’m in need, I know only one place will scrub the way I want it. This is the place. Also the pools are lovely and warm. They can get a little loud when a lot of women are there but they have quiet places such as their sauna and steam room. Also, it’s women’s only spa, it’s pretty much the best place on earth.

I loved the waters. Scrub was really nice. The massage just felt like I paid someone to just trickle me. I as hoping for a massage since my neck has been super tense and back. I emailed them about it. They asked a question and dispersed. I guess they think $215 for tickles is reasonable to charge spa goers Update they did reach out to me and try to resolve

Honest Review: I really wanted to enjoy my first visit here, but unfortunately, it was a terrible experience from start to finish. I booked a facial and scalp renewal treatment and used the water circuit beforehand, hoping for a relaxing day. If you’re going on a weekend, be aware that it’s incredibly noisy and crowded. The constant chatter completely ruins the spa atmosphere. The layout of the water circuit also makes no sense. You have to keep walking back and forth to use different areas, the pools are small and cramped, and there were no water glasses available for hydration. Phones were also being used in the locker rooms, which felt like a serious invasion of privacy. During my facial and scalp renewal, the noise of someone loudly crinkling garbage bags (likely changing them) interrupted the entire service. The setup itself was uncomfortable. My head was hanging off the massage table with just a small towel under my neck for an hour, and the shower head was awkwardly positioned on the wall so the therapist had to reach over me. To make matters worse, I developed a severe skin infection afterward. I emailed the spa on October 28th to report it and have yet to receive any response at all. Overall, this was the least relaxing spa experience I’ve ever had—0/10, would absolutely not recommend.

Body Blitz Spa West will always be my favorite getaway nestled in the heart of the city. I have been going to BBW for over a decade and receiving the luxurious Body Scrub treatment from Vilma. She always takes such beautiful care of my body. I can't wait to come back!! I am super heart broken to hear of the spa closing 💔.
Shuran J — Google review
I couldn’t take any photos because mobile phones aren’t allowed in the spa, but I had a really relaxing time. You get 90 minutes to enjoy the spa pool before the massage, and switching between the hot and cold baths really helps your body recharge. The place isn’t very big, but there weren’t many guests, so it felt spacious and peaceful. The massage therapist was great too — they asked about any injuries beforehand, and the music made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Cat L — Google review
The pools and my body scrub were wonderful. My skin feels really hydrated and the water circuit was very relaxing. I gave them 4 stars because I was told their facilities were wheelchair accessible. You can get into the building with the ramped door. After you get in, the accessibility gets worse. The shower with a grab bar is not private it doesn’t have any walls surrounding it & there is no shower seat. The “accessible” toilet is in the back, away from the main washroom by the locker room. It’s a small room, my walker didn’t fit in the room. They told me about the stairs into the pools. I could manage the ones into the large pool. I almost got stuck in the small cold pool because the steps were so large. I hope the location they are remodeling will be more accessible.
Liz M — Google review
Not Worth the Price – Disappointing Scrub Experience I have visited Body Blitz Spa West and spent over $250 for a coffee body scrub and massage, expecting a high-end, relaxing treatment to match the spa’s reputation. While I genuinely enjoyed the therapeutic water circuit — especially the hot pool, cold plunge, and steam room — the body scrub experience was honestly one of the worst I’ve ever had. They brought me into a small treatment room with a rock-hard slab (not marble — actual rough stone), asked me to fully undress and lie face down. From the start, it felt uncomfortable and far from luxurious. The scrub itself was barely a scrub. The dry brushing and coffee scrub felt rushed and incomplete — entire areas of my body, like the backs of my legs, were completely ignored. I kept thinking, “Maybe she’ll go back and scrub again, or add another layer?” but she didn’t. It was a very light, surface-level scrub, not at all what you’d expect for that price point. To top it off, at the end of the session, I was literally hosed down with water like a car wash. No warm towel service, no rinsing station — just laying there being sprayed off on the rock bed. It felt rushed, impersonal, and degrading after paying such a high price. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the 90 minutes in the water circuit was genuinely relaxing. But for the scrub and treatment experience, I regret spending my money. I wouldn’t recommend this spa for body treatments — you’re better off enjoying just the pools and skipping the overpriced services.

My go to spa in the heart of Toronto.. Staff are very welcoming and very friendly. I had an amazing time doing aromatherapy massage with a free birthday lunch… I’ve been here multiple times for a massage but this is my first time to experience the Terrace Restaurant. I will definitely come back for this experience..
Kriselda L — Google review
I came in for a spa day with my sister on a Sunday and we both enjoyed the experience. The spa itself is slightly dated in aesthetic, but it was still very nice and enjoyable. The amenities and service staff were great, and the massages, pedicure, and lunch were enjoyable and relaxing as well. I did find that the way this spa handles the billing & tipping was a bit strange… We were given our lunch bill right after lunch, despite lunch being included in the package. I didn’t have to pay for lunch at that point but I did have the opportunity to leave a tip based on the lunch amount. The amount on that bill was higher than what I paid in the overall package (I noticed later), so naturally the tip was higher. I don’t mind that. What I did find strange was the fact the tipping amount recommendations (15%, 20%, etc) on the FINAL package bill were based on the total amount for the package INCLUDING lunch and my tip from lunch. Those things feel like a sneaky way to get higher tips from customers, which didn’t put a great taste in my mouth. What really bothered me was after I wrote my tip amount on the bill, I was informed that I could only leave a cash tip, so she gave me cash equivalent to my tip (in all $5 bills) and asked to split my tips up into individual envelopes for each service person who provided our treatments. In hindsight, I can understand why it is this wat, but it was hot and it was stressful to have to sort through a large pile of $5 bills to put them into tiny envelopes, and write names on each envelope right after all my relaxing treatments. There must be a more convenient way to do the tipping so I don’t feel like it’s as much of a punishment 😅 Anyway, thanks for a great experience regardless!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Went here for my partners birthday and got their package for a couples massage, facials, water therapies (steam room, hot tub, pool, whirlpool in the ladies change room, sauna in the men's change room) and a three course lunch on their beautiful terrace all for $430 each. FOOD WAS A 10/10. There was also complementary tea bars on each floor, along with hot+cold face towels and regular towels. We were also given a nice comfy robes and slippers to use for our stay. The changing rooms were gorgeous, came with complementary shampoo/conditioner, body wash, lotions, deodorants, hair gels, and hair tools. Overall such a cute and relaxing day, the place itself has an older but timeless aesthetic, every room was super clean. WOULD 100% RECOMMEND!

Beautiful spa! My mom had surgery this week at Toronto General, we stayed at the Chelsea and I was looking for something to do while she was in surgery. This spa is right beside the hotel. Everything was beautiful and everyone was lovely from check in to check out. The water amenities were shut down but they compensated me for the inconvenience. I was still able to use the beautiful hot tub in the change room. I had an 80 minute Swedish Massage from Andrea. She did great! I felt so wonderful afterwards!

We had a great experience at the Elmwood Spa! I would highly recommend coming here with friends. The facility is clean, staff are incredibly friendly and the 3-course lunch was delicious. We went for water therapies early in the morning, so we found it not to be very busy and enjoyed having more space to ourselves. It definitely picked up around 10:30am. I had a facial treatment with Monica who did a fantastic job. She talked me through the treatment and provided valuable insight into my skin care routine. The facility itself is nice as you have plenty of lockers, the shower has great products, plus the getting ready stations have a blow dryer, straightener and curling iron - which was great for getting ready for our next event afterwards. The restaurant was a wonderful experience. It was not super busy, so that could have worked in our favour. The menu had lots of options. Our server, Jeremy, was highly attentive - kept our water glasses full and checked-in often. They have a slideshow showing pictures of all the different meal options. The portions were a great (see picture of grilled salmon with pea & orzo salad). The water therapies were nice - my only recommendation would be to add a dry sauna to the space. Overall, the water therapies package with lunch was worth it and I would go back.

I went there on a surprise date with my boyfriend, and from beginning to end, the whole experience was amazing 😍 The water facilities had a bit of a vintage feel, but everything was extremely clean and well organized. The only downside was that the jacuzzi was closed, and my boyfriend had really been looking forward to it. Even when he booked over the phone, no one mentioned it was unavailable. Everyone — from the receptionists and staff who guided us around, to the therapist (Marcos) and the lovely server at the terrace restaurant — was so professional that it honestly made me feel like I wasn’t in Canada, lol. Thank you so much to everyone who made this day so special! Keep up the great work — I’ve already recommended this place to my friends.

I went over the weekend with a friend. We enjoyed our time there! Is a very healthy place, not cult-like other spas in Toronto. There are lots of things to to and the massage are really good! The food was great! There a lots of women and I felt safe in that place. The only thing was you can’t take much photos due privacy so I couldn’t get content for my vlog!

Nestled within the luxurious Shangri-la Hotel on University Avenue, Miraj Hammam Spa offers a unique blend of traditional Middle Eastern Hammam rituals with a touch of Parisian relaxation. The spa provides an array of indulgent treatments such as Turkish-style exfoliation, crushed cabernet scrub, and honey and wine body wraps. Couples can enjoy private steam chamber sessions for treatments like the Turkish Bath Ritual and Biologique Recherche facials.
visited this spa, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything about this place exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel comfortable right away. The cleanliness of the entire facility was impeccable, which added to the overall sense of relaxation. The massage was nothing short of amazing—perfect pressure, soothing atmosphere, and pure relaxation. After the massage, I spent time in the beautifully designed lounge, which was not only aesthetically pleasing but also incredibly peaceful—a perfect space to unwind. The pool facilities were also excellent, well-maintained, and a great addition to the overall experience. Every detail, from the ambiance to the service, made this visit truly special. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone looking for a top-tier relaxation experience.

I had an amazing experience here with my girls. Service was amazing. They were very attentive. We all had massages and it was so good. The little snacks were good as well. It was like a step into tranquility. The atmosphere inside the spa was just so different. Id like to add the spa was so clean, spacious and felt so calm.

I tried the Swedish massage therapy here. It was my first experience in massage therapy and I'm happy that I did it here. The atmosphere, the personnels and the masseuse were really professional and friendly. After the massage, the pool could be used for an unlimited period (11 pm) and the quality of the pool was good. I will definitely choose here again.

Exceptional Birthday Experience! I celebrated my special day at the spa and left feeling utterly relaxed and rejuvenated. The couples deep tissue massage was sublime - incredibly relaxing and relieving. The amenities, including pool and gym access, were a lovely bonus. What truly impressed me was the attention to detail: spotless facilities, tranquil atmosphere, and friendly staff. The luxurious change room, equipped with everything needed to refresh and revive, was the perfect finishing touch. I'm already planning my next visit! If you're seeking a serene escape, look no further. Definitely exceeded my expectations in every way. 5/5 stars! ❤️

Every visit to Miraj Hammam Spa is nothing short of perfection. The staff are incredibly welcoming, professional, and thorough, always making sure every detail of the experience is tailored to my needs. The massages and facials are consistently top tier—no matter who I see, the quality never wavers. What truly sets this spa apart is its flawless consistency. From the spotless facilities to the calming atmosphere, everything is run with precision and care. The experience is so exceptional that I make it a point to return twice a month, and each visit continues to exceed expectations. Miraj Hammam Spa truly raises the bar for wellness experiences. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

What a great experience! From check in to check out, the whole process was smooth and my partner and I felt totally pampered! The staff were all extremely professional and guide you throughout your stay. Previous reviews talked about the awkwardness of going past the gym to the pools, but honestly that is a non factor for me. The spa is located in a hotel, so the water therapy shares the facilities with the hotel. I understand that and it didn't take away from my experience. The pools were really clean and beautiful. The jacuzzi had an area where you can sit and lounge and also watch tv. There was also a steam room on the opposite end of the main pool. There were a lot areas to rest and lounge which I loved. The massage was actually the best I've had so far in the city compared to other spas I've been. The massage bed is heated so you are toasty the whole way through. All the masseuses at Miraj Hammam are RMTs so really convenient if you need to submit to benefits/insurance. Also another tidbit, the robe was so plush and comfortable. It's a strange thing to compare it to other spas, but they have the best robes! And the small detail of asking your size for your slippers is a nice touch. Some spas just hand you whatever and you're stuck with a big slipper. The whole spa was beautiful and the rest area after your massage had a snack section. They also provide you some baklava after your massage and some tea. Again, I felt super pampered the whole time and really enjoyed my stay at the spa. I would definitely come back. If you need to gift someone something, or take a loved one for a anniversary/birthday, this place is really excellent in providing that extra care, rest, and relaxation. I was extremely recharged after my experience. 10/10 experience at a spa! Thank you Miraj Hammam!

My partner and I were eager to come to the Spa after reading pleasant reviews and knowing the reputation of the Shangri La Hotel. We paid for a 60 minute massage and 18% gratuity with the expectation of using the other facilities (i.e. pool, sauna, spa). The check-in was a smooth experience at the reception. The attendant who showed me the locker had me join an unrelated trio and seemed in a rush to show us the area, so much of what was explained was inaudible to myself and the trio. The robes were very lush, and the slippers comfortable. Good toiletries and shower supplies. The massage was good, with lovely aromatic oils to choose from. I do think warming your hands before a massage can make the massage more enjoyable though. Other than the aromatic oils, I found the massage comparable to going to regular RMT. We had some light refreshments in the tea room (e.g. pretzels, date/fig cookies, tea) and after our massage were personally served baklava and tea. When we went across the floor to use the pool and other facilities we entered into a fully occupied pool area. Not a single seat or cabana remaining. The facilities are shared with the hotel guests, so on a weekend it was completely overrun. With nothing else to do, we ended up leaving. I highly recommend whomever is managing the spa to visit the Clarins Spa myBlend in the Ritz. In comparison, the Miraj Hamman pales. For the same price point you have access to updated facilities, a more peaceful spa experience, always have seating, and will have a more relaxing experience overall. I will say the Moroccan ambience is a nice touch, but I would not return and pay this price.

Just treated myself for my bday with the 60 min deep tissue massage. It was phenomenal. James was fantastic, my back feels like new. This was actually the best back massage I have ever had in my life. Honestly, worth every dollar. Also, such a lovely touch at the end, being able to relax in a lounge room and sip on delicious "tea" (sorry maybe it was different special drink). Thank you for this experience.❤️

Seoul Zimzibang is a Korean-style spa that features six mineral sauna rooms with different therapeutic benefits. The spa also has large, comfortable lounge areas to relax in with friends. This is a great place to unwind if you need some peace and quiet.
Nice place for body scrub and sauna! The food here is amazing as well. Don’t miss the sweet rice drink and the maki rolls. We went on Saturday and luckily it was not busy. I would recommend bringing your own shampoo and body wash, they do provide towels.

Don’t expect a luxury spa. It’s a local and no frills sauna place. Good to sweat and detox once in a while.

As many people have already said the place is very clean. I enjoyed my body scrub and wish I had also paid for the facial, next time! Thank you for a relaxing evening and for cleaning my skin.

Chill place on a week day. I like that it’s calm, quiet and clean. The food is so so (very average). The receptionist could be more friendly ( a bit won’t hurt) I felt very uncomfortable in the shower, there was a weird behaviour and I didn’t like that there were no employers (males) monitoring the men section.
Amer F — Google review
Alright, I love this place. It's so clean, and that in itself is a big sell. If you've had hard days and want to decompress, this is the perfect place. The Google photos are not a true representation. Is it older? Yes. Is it focused on health? Absolutely yes. Their small canteen has the best kimbap I've had in forever. Check it out, have a snoop. You might love it too.
Maghan T — Google review
This place is 'tired', it's rather expensive ($150+ for 60 min). Attendant was not Korean, just some dude in his underwear. Kinda creepy! Also, no slippers, towels are the size of a face cloth. I could go on, but all in all... Nahh!!
Mitchell Z — Google review
As a regular customer, I was speaking positively about this place within my circle, and we had a plan to go visit as a group. I just got off a phone call with them to ask a simple question: can someone wear modest clothing, long sleeves and pants made of suitable, breathable fabric for religious reasons, to access only the hot rooms. The response? A flat-out no. I explained calmly and clearly, but was met with repeated dismissals: “no, no, no,” with no willingness to understand or consider accommodation. What’s even more confusing is that I’ve seen customers there before wearing what looked like gowns or bathrobes, so clearly, not everyone is in the standard short and T-shirt. That makes this refusal feel inconsistent and arbitrary. This is extremely disappointing. Denying service solely because someone chooses to dress modestly for religious reasons isn’t just poor customer service, it raises serious concerns about religious discrimination, which is protected under Canadian human rights law. They’ve now lost not just my business, but likely that of everyone I know.

Great real korean sauna. Clean places, professional staff, real experience. I also wisited a korean sauna in Korea, so all of my experience was in Seoul Zimzilbang. The sauna include 3 areas: 2 separate for man and women separetly. This areas for bathing with hot and cold tube and a classic wet hot sauna. Do not bring your swimmsuit, it is just naked. There is also the own lockery and massage option. The 3th area is for everyone. You have to wear a clean uniform what you got in the entrace. Here you can have wide various foods and drinks as ramen, susi, shikje, teas, korean beverage etc. You can play billiard and boardgames. From there you can enter the dry saunas with different stonesband healing options and cold sauna. Plastic slippers also recomend, but if you forget, you can ask one in the enter.

Spa
The Stillwater Spa at Park Hyatt Toronto has recently undergone a renovation, featuring a luxurious ambiance with gold accents, watercolor waves, and light wood. One of its signature treatments is the 60-minute Ultimate Aromatherapy Experience, allowing guests to select a natural oil blend from Aromatherapy Associates for their full-body massage. The spa also offers access to amenities such as an aromatic steam room, sauna, and lounge area serving refreshments.
Incredible service from the moment I arrived. All of the staff are so kind and professional which really elevates the experience. Great amenities all around— I basically had the place to myself which was an extra bonus. Best hot stone massage I’ve ever had with delicious treats and juice afterwards. A lovely relaxing space that is beautifully decorated and taken care of. The only downside is that being in the basement you do hear the subway when it passes through. This threw me initially but would definitely not stop me from returning. Highly recommend!
Karli F — Google review
Newly renovated. The experience of massage and facial were great. They do not use steam on facials but do extractions. They have complimentary juices and snacks. Each change room has a sauna and steam room, but no pool access. The biggest downside is every few minutes you hear and feel the subway as this spa is in the basement.
Cody F — Google review
After a physically exhausting couple of weeks I decided to treat myself to a deep tissue massage and a facial. My massage was fine, not exceptional. I felt like my therapist spent a lot of time walking around, washing his hands etc. instead of focusing on my massage. My facial was also fine but the girl providing the service was practically whispering when she was describing the treatment. I was straining to hear her the whole time. I was very surprised that an 18% gratuity was automatically added to my bill. I think I should decide what the amount should be and i t should not automatically be added. For the staff doing treatments there is no incentive to even do a proper service when they know they will already get a very decent tip. I had a gift card with a large remaining balance (over $725), but after tip and tax I was $1.75 short. They asked for exact change. I felt nickeled and dimed and considering they added tip, it could have just been a wash. Really $1.75 on over $725 bill! It was not a nice end to what was supposed to be a day of pampering and relaxation. Then parking....after paying $35 for 2 hours (plus tip added), the attendant getting my car looked like he had never driven before. It was brutal to watch and certainly left me feeling anything but relaxed.
Tiffany I — Google review
Beautiful spa with excellent service and attention to detail. You can come early or stay after your treatment and enjoy the sauna and steam room the change room area. The lounge is a nice place to read in peace and enjoy complimentary snacks (fruit, macarons, black sesame financiers, matcha truffles), sloane teas, and cold pressed juices. I had a body wrap treatment from Daniela and my skin felt so soft after. She actually read my health questionnaire (a lot of places get you to fill it out and later it is clear they never read it which is my pet peeve). Everything from the plush robes, eucalyptus mist in every shower and impeccably clean space make for a relaxing self care day. I went on a weekday afternoon and it was nice and quiet. The change room has Dyson blow dryers, curling iron, straightener, face wash and cream, hair spray, spray deodorant, combs, q tips etc. So you don't need to bring much. Since the steam room and sauna are in the changerooms, no need to bring a swimsuit. This place is expensive but worth it.
Denise S — Google review
I have been going to Stillwater for years before Renos. My first visit back since the updates! No hot tub or pods but the space was lovely. The waiting area rest lounge was comfortable and there are delicious desserts. The menu rotates but lucky me the caramel black sesame tarts and scones were amazing! Sloan teas and some juices are available to order and free of charge. The wet and dry sauna in the change room were great. The space is smaller but the service is still top notch and a wonderful spa experience.

After being closed for several years for renovations, Stillwater has finally re-opened - just about 4 weeks ago. My experience was solid as it has been in the past. Stephanie, the Spa concierge, was friendly, attentive, and responsive; I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

First time back to this spa after their 3 to 4 year renovation. Personally enjoyed the layout and ambiance of their pre-renovation Spa, but this one too was enjoyable, sleek, modern and a good experience. Massage was excellent. Lounge away small and cozy. Great service.

I booked an aromatherapy experience and it was very relaxing. They also have a steam room and sauna. There's a common area where you can lounge and enjoy small bites and refreshments. They had everything from fresh juice, tea, and water. The place was clean and staff are friendly.

Othership Adelaide is a 3,000 square foot wellness sanctuary that offers transformative experiences through hot and cold circuits, breathwork, essential oils, and curated soundscapes. The space provides various guided and free flow sessions for an immersive wellness journey. Additionally, they have a mobile app for regulating emotions and the nervous system through guided breathwork sessions. Visitors can also join evening socials for a unique alternative to traditional nightlife.
I moved from England to Canada last fall and didn’t know many people in Toronto. Being a total wellness and mindfulness enthusiast, I was so happy when I found Othership — it honestly became my happy place. It’s not just about the sauna and cold plunge (though they’re amazing), it’s the way the whole place makes you feel. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and every session leaves me feeling calmer, lighter and feeling a better me. The community here is something special. People are friendly, open and genuinely inspiring. I’ve met some incredible souls who share the same passion for wellness and personal growth. For me, Othership has been more than a wellness space — it’s been a place to recharge, connect and feel at home in a new city. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for something truly uplifting. This place has that cool vibe 💫

I’ve always loved the free flow at Othership — being able to move at my own pace through the sauna and ice bath has been such a grounding and energizing experience every time. Recently though, I decided to try the guided classes, and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed them too. The facilitators bring such a unique energy and structure that makes the whole journey feel intentional, connected, and powerful in a different way. Free flow will always be my go-to when I want freedom and space, but now I love that I can choose a guided class when I’m craving direction, community, or a deeper reset. Both are such incredible offerings, and I’m grateful Othership has created a space that makes both possible

Deidre-Ann Montague was impeccable. Her guidance was absolutely riveting and utmost professional. I was very comfortable with her spiritual essence and step by step progression during the session. Quite a lovely being. She reminds me of the Lotus I felt my self being in that aura! My next session will have to be with her again. Thousand Thank yous! Btw I am sure her co-supporters at the Othership are wonderful as well. From the time I entered the Ship till I left, I experienced nothing but Goodness:)

Had a great experience with the Loving Kindness (Down) class. This mix of intense sensations provided by the sauna and ice bath, and the relaxing elements of scents and sounds mingled together to create a memorable experience. Would recommend to those willing to explore outside of their comfort zone.

I came from out of town to check out Othership and it was definitely worth the trip to this beautiful space!! Leora and Lammy were so welcoming and kind, which helped ease my fears about doing the cold plunge. I have anxiety and they made me feel very comfortable and supported. Everything was very clean and overall just an amazingly relaxing and refreshing atmosphere, but my favorite part of the experience was the towel waving in the sauna!!! The waves of warm air combined with the essential oil blend snow balls made it feel like my stress was just melting away, it was pure bliss. Looking forward to going back and checking out some of the classes.

I attended Stuart Campbell’s guided down : sound immersion class at the Adelaide location, and it was an invigorating experience. Spectacular class, specially for beginner to mid level people (which is where I am at) .. I would highly suggest that Staurat’s class be incorporated into your wellness regime since he really takes the time to educate you on the overall journey, the layout of the space and establishes expectations. He brings positive energy, meaningful intent and affirmative structure to the class. His demeanour is very calm, composed and attentive. Highly recommended.
Ahmad M — Google review
A Truly Restorative Experience at Othership Othership continues to impress with its thoughtful atmosphere and attention to every detail. From the moment you enter, you feel immersed in a space that encourages calm, reflection, and connection. The essential oil blends are especially memorable, and Lammy’s contributions to them add an unmistakable layer of warmth and authenticity to the experience. He brings a genuine presence that complements the environment beautifully, checking in with guests and helping everyone feel grounded and comfortable. Othership has created something truly special, and people like Lammy make the experience even more meaningful.
Corey M — Google review
It’s certainly a vibe, but not for me. My experience felt like superficial Wellness for the masses. Imagine a lukewarm sauna and soul cycle breathing as one , uniting to form the Othership. My class led us through group breathing, group movement and group affirmations, to the steady beat of club tunes. Towel dance and snowball throw are quite the sight. It’s all well intentioned, but when you’re touching sweaty elbows with a stranger, you are reminded that this specific flavour of wellness and community has a thriving business model. Wait time for the cold plunge is long and you lose all your heat in line. The change rooms are dark, crowded and offer little to no privacy. Given the time constraint, things feels rushed. Glad I tried it once to understand the hype. Won’t be trying it twice.

Nestled on the ninth floor of the luxurious Four Seasons Toronto, the Spa at Four Seasons Toronto is a tranquil oasis that spans over 30,000 square feet. Guests can immerse themselves in relaxation with an extensive menu of services ranging from soothing massages and rejuvenating facials to body treatments and nail care.
Had a lovely spa day at the Four Seasons. Spent some time by the heated pool before my service. Had a relaxing facial with a wonderful face massage from Kathy. Then relaxed with a chamomile tea in the lounging area. The amenities are beautiful. There are crystals in the treatment rooms as well as in the water decanter. The robs are soft and fluffy. They have truly thought of everything. Highly recommend.

I’m a spa lover and Four Seasons Yorkville came in highly recommended to me from a good friend of mines! There’s no doubt that of all the spa experiences I’ve had Four Seasons Yorkville Tops the list as an Elite spa experience. From start to finish the staff and overall experience is of a high calibre, I was so impressed with my experience that I’ve already booked my next spa appointment for June. My massage therapist Rowena was just fantastic and I look forward to another wonderful massage from her in June! The food was excellent along with the pool and sauna. See you again soon Four Seasons Spa & thank you for the excellent service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spent the day today at the spa, got a deluxe manicure and pedicure. Honestly I’m giving 5 stars alone for my manicurist/pedicurist, Yvonne. Not only was she an exceptional professional, but she was a wonderful conversationalist and had the most pleasant disposition. I really just loved her all around. I would and will 100% go back to her for her services and I would absolutely recommend her to everyone and anyone. I hope this review can get back to her directly! Thanks Yvonne! PS- ordered some snacks and a latte and both were great quality. The only drawback of this spa is that sitting on the terrace, while pleasant, is dimmed a bit by the nearby construction/street noise. Other than that I’ll definitely go back!

I had an amazing experience at the Four Seasons Spa in Toronto for Thanksgiving weekend. The spa itself is luxurious, peaceful, and the perfect spot to unwind. I had a massage with Greg, who was absolutely fantastic—he was professional, attentive, and made sure the whole experience was relaxing and tailored to my needs. The location is perfect, offering a serene escape right in the city. Highly recommend Four Seasons Spa and will definitely return! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

I spent half a day at the Four Seasons Spa in Toronto for my birthday and it was honestly one of the most relaxing and thoughtful experiences I’ve ever had, I had originally booked Joseph but since he wasn’t feeling well Greg ended up being my massage therapist and I couldn’t have been happier, Greg was absolutely amazing, so kind, friendly, and professional, he checked in about the scent I preferred and even adjusted the temperature of the massage bed so everything felt perfectly comfortable, after the massage he brought me tea with a sweet and surprised me with a little box of chocolates that said happy birthday which was such a thoughtful detail and honestly made me feel so celebrated, the massage itself was so relaxing and grounding that I found myself glad Joseph wasn’t available because Greg really made the whole day special, after that I enjoyed the steam room, the jacuzzi, the infrared sauna, the huge pool, and even spent time on the balcony just soaking it all in, I also loved that inside the massage room there was a crystal quartz which gave the space such a calming energy and since I’m a big fan of crystals that detail meant a lot to me, I even noticed crystals at the front desk too which felt so unique and personal, the girls at the front desk were warm and welcoming and every little touch throughout the spa made me feel both cared for and celebrated, it was the perfect birthday escape and I left feeling happy, relaxed, and already planning my next visit.

I had the most phenomenal prenatal salt stone ritual. It truly was so thought out, every single detail. It included a belly mask, and the hot salt stone. It also included face and head and arms and legs and just everything was serene and relaxing. The bed was warmed as well and your robe is given back to you heated also! The massage was primarily on one side then another. This was much mroe comfy for me than typical prenatal massages that have you on your stomach on that pillow with a hole in it. Still puts pressure/not comfortable. I had terrible lower back pain and today’s treatment offered a lot of relief. The masseuse was very knowledgeable and kind. Service was really good. Pool and lounging areas are very relaxing and there’s always someone around to help or answer questions.

It’s one of my fav spots to go unwind for a while now. Amazing stuff, super friendly and not too pushy. It’s on a pricey range, but for me it’s worth it.

Stepping into the Four Seasons Spa is like leaving the world behind. From the moment you arrive, the staff's warm and accommodating nature makes you feel completely at ease. They genuinely listen to your needs, ensuring that every detail of your visit, whether it's a simple pedicure or a full body treatment, is tailored to pure relaxation. The amenities themselves are a tranquil haven. As a man, I was impressed by the thoughtful touches—from the steam sauna and spacious showers to the well-stocked grooming essentials like shaving kits and dental hygiene products. The communal pool area, with its inviting jacuzzi and a terrace offering light meals and fresh juices, extends that feeling of serenity. But the true magic lies in the treatments. Each one is a rejuvenating escape, designed to melt away stress. Having experienced several spas across downtown Toronto, I can confidently say that the Four Seasons Spa offers a unique and much-needed respite from the chaos of daily life. It's more than just a spa visit; it's a moment of blissful escape.

Alter is a new wellness destination in the city that focuses on hot and cold exposure for a rejuvenating experience. The facility offers a spacious sauna, four-person ice baths, breathwork classes, and cozy lounge spaces to relax in. They are currently offering a special Valentine's Day package for couples. Visitors have praised the calming and welcoming energy of the space, as well as its cleanliness and modern design. The staff are friendly and helpful, guiding guests through their experience, especially with the cold plunge.
This spa is excellent! The sauna is spacious, the cold plunges have different temperature options, and the facilities are clean and ultra modern. They use dark “mood lighting” which makes the space more of a relaxing vibe than other places I have visited. Every half hour, the attendant throws scent-infused snowballs on the heated rocks (lots of woody and citrus scents) which elevates the relaxation. I bought the 10-day unlimited pass on a whim not knowing what to expect. If you live nearby, I highly recommend this option as they have plenty of self-led and guided classes available daily. It turned out to be excellent value for money. The staff are all super friendly, but the stand-outs were Abigayle, Jonathan, and Olly. Each of them were generous with walking me through breath work, checking in, and keeping the surfaces meticulously squeegeed.

I had my first class at Alter tonight -a guided meditation and what an epic experience! Big thanks to the guide. The class size was just right, not crowded at all. The showers were super clean and perfect for getting ready to step back outside. Such a great bonus! I’ll definitely be coming back.

My new favourite spot in the city! The vibes are immaculate ✨ Music, ambience, scent, and even lighting is such a vibe. The sauna is spacious with deep seats and lots of air flow. By far the hottest sauna I’ve been in in Toronto. I love the communal ice baths. It makes it a lot easier, for me at least, having other people doing the plunge with me. If you’re not up for a plunge, you can always take advantage of the cold water bucket. The space is clean, everyone is so friendly, and I’m just really excited to be part of this community!

I attended my first Guided Breath & Meditation class with Ariel yesterday, and it was a pleasant surprise—in the best way. Ariel’s depth of knowledge really stood out, and I’d highly recommend the experience. I also appreciated the more intimate class size, which offered a refreshing contrast to what you typically find at Alter’s competitors. I look forward to my next visit soon!

Absolutely love Alter’s hot and cold therapy. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the amenities are the best I’ve experienced at a place like this. The tea lounge is beautifully designed, and the Sistine body oil in the vanity after a sauna + cold plunge is the cherry on top for me and my girlfriend—amazing fragrance in the body oil and it leaves our skin so happy. Literally feels like a spa.

I spent a few hours at Go Place in Markham, and honestly, it was one of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had. The place is absolutely beautiful and super clean — everything feels modern, relaxing, and well-organized. There are so many different saunas and baths to try. Each one gives a completely different kind of relaxation, and you can easily spend hours just exploring them all. I also got a foot massage, and it was incredible. The therapist was amazing, and I left feeling so light and relaxed. A small tip — definitely pay the extra $5 for the white robe. It’s so much more comfortable than the regular uniform, especially when you’re walking around between the baths and saunas. Overall, Go Place is the perfect spot to recharge, unwind, and just escape from everyday stress. I’ll 100% be coming back soon!

My sister and I went and we really enjoyed ourselves. The service is really great. The steam room wasn't working when we went on the womens side but everything else was really wonderful. The sauna rooms are beautiful. The people working are helpful. Clean. You cannot wear your own shoes or slippers so we used gym shoes provided and we purchased slippers to walk around in. We didnt pay for any extra services but I do plan to go back and do that. We didn't eat so I can't comment on food. Gym area was good enough. Location was easy to get to and find off hwy 7.

I visited this spa for a bachelorette party a few months ago, and it was such an interesting and fun experience! The place is beautifully decorated — chic, elegant, and very well organised. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and everything feels spotless and thoughtfully arranged. I tried the deep tissue massage with the therapist Ana, and it was excellent — I highly recommend her! She was professional, attentive, and made the whole experience truly relaxing. The food was tasty and fairly priced, which was a nice bonus. The only downside for me is that all the pools are separated, so there’s no shared area for couples — it would be great if they added a mixed jacuzzi or pool. Another negative point is that guests are not allowed to give tips to the therapists, and if you use insurance, the price is double — which I think is a bit excessive. Apart from that, everything else was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this spa for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Always enjoy my time here! The location is super convenient—just a short trip from home. The food is always delicious, the drinks are fresh, and the fruits are amazing. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing spa-cation, especially during the colder months. The sauna rooms are such a vibe and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and rejuvenating. Shoutout to David—he’s always friendly, smiling, and on top of everything. Great service every time!

Go Place Spa is absolutely amazing! ✨ From the moment you step inside, the luxurious design and carefully curated artwork take your breath away. Every detail feels intentional, creating an atmosphere of pure relaxation and beauty. The customer service is top-notch, and the experience is worth every penny. The cost is $79 per adult (plus tax), and the best part — you can stay all day long, since the spa is open 24/7! I loved that they provide a robe and slippers for your comfort (perfect if you forget yours!). Women can choose between a robe or a cute shorts-and-top set 🩳. Go Place offers several unique saunas and stone rooms, each designed in a cozy hut 🛖 style — made with quartz, amethyst, Himalayan salt, jade, agate, and volcanic rock. There’s also a small gym, pool tables, and plenty of large reclining chairs throughout the spa where you can rest at any time. This place is perfect for meditation 🧘🏼‍♀️ You’ll also find red LED light therapy lamps, a quiet reading area filled with books 📚, and a restaurant serving healthy, delicious food — from sushi and sashimi to customizable salads 🥗 and nourishing dishes. While alcohol isn’t served, their signature non-alcoholic drinks are refreshing and beautifully crafted. This place is perfect for business meetings, family gatherings, celebrations, solo relaxation, or a peaceful getaway. The wet area features steam saunas, a cold plunge pool, cold showers, and a jacuzzi with jets — everything you need for deep rejuvenation. This are is separate for men and women, so everyone feels comfortable and safe. The spa also offers special treatments, like massage, facials and all sorts of wraps with masks, but you have to book it way ahead as they are pretty booked. As far as I noticed the special treatments are only available from Monday to Friday only. Whether you come to unwind or recharge, Go Place Spa is a truly exceptional experience that nourishes your body, mind, and spirit. 🌿

I thought I’d spend my birthday at the spa this year. I was expecting a relaxing, quiet environment but unfortunately Go Place was not the right choice of spa. No matter what room I tried to enjoy there were groups/couples who could not be quiet. So, if you are looking for a relaxing space this is not it. Thankfully I had booked myself a 1.5hr facial because it was the only relaxing part of my day. The woman who did my service was very nice. The staff was very helpful.

We had a lovely monday evening at Go place. It is a beutiful space. We had 90minute massages with the non RMTs it was great. Had some food etc. It wasn't too busy 7pm-10pm and then it was very nice and empty from 12am onwards . The staff are all wonderful. The only things i could say could be improved is - they have a lot of gimmicky dry saunas based on woowoo crystal healing and no aromatherapy steam room. . They should add an aromatherapy steam or make eucalyptus spray available to use in the showers. -although the woman's had 3 hot tubs. None of them would be what I consider actually hot (ranging from 38-39.7degrees. Pretty average warm as far as hot tubs go - it would be nice if the billiard and gym would be open 24hours -they should make the open concept massage area downstairs available for people to sit and relax once massage services are no longer available in the evening. They put signs for people not to sit -they do not answer the phones lol -they show movies in one of the old theatres which is rlly cool. (The space used to be a cineplex!!) Wpuld be nice if there would be a way to sync sound for the movies into your headphones or at least show the subtitles.

I’ve been to Go Place twice now. The first time, I really loved it, the amenities, the atmosphere, everything felt relaxing and enjoyable. I didn’t even mind that they don’t provide slippers. But my second visit honestly made me rethink coming back. It was extremely crowded, and I wish there were at least a reservation system instead of just walk-ins. It was my friend’s birthday, and I really hoped for a smoother experience. We also had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes for the restaurant, even though we were initially told 50 minutes. At one point, there was no one ahead of us on the waitlist, but we still waited another 40 minutes before being seated. Once we finally got in, I was cold from being in the saunas and asked for a blanket, but no one ever brought it to me. It was frustrating, especially because the tip is included even though the service didn’t meet expectations. Overall, Go Place is a beautiful place with great amenities, but this visit was disappointing, and I’m not sure I would return unless the service improves.

Hidden gem! Great place to relax and unwind from the pressures of the week. Went with a buddy. Check-in was easy and simple as we've been going there regularly. You get a wristband that unlocks a locker, bathrobe, and a few towels. Free herbal teas and coffee. There is a restaurant in house that serves traditional Russian dishes and alcohol. I always have 1 or 2 Czechvar beer! The sauna itself is clean and well maintained. Never had a bad experience here

This is a wonderful place to go to unwind and recuperate after a long week. The saunas are clean and the vibe is very welcoming. The staff are friendly and the service upon entry is quick and seamless. You get your own locker and can stay as long as you'd like. I love coming here to recalibrate the mind. 10/10 if you're looking for an affordable sauna experience.

5 stars is simply not enough. This place is magical. Top tier service - and for the price, you can’t get better quality. The facility is always working - and the staff are incredible to deal with. Get the 10 pack if you are going to come consistently - price to value is unmatchable. Once you become a regular - try out some of the food. Again … 5 stars is NOT enough. Incredible work to the whole team. I have brought many people here for their first Banya session - and I encourage everyone else to give it a try too.

Such an amazing experience! The environment is super clean and comfortable, and everything just feels really well taken care of. The service is top-notch, and the food was delicious. It also has a really down-to-earth vibe, which I loved. A huge thank you to Oksana for the incredible massage—her healing hands made all the difference! I left feeling totally refreshed and can’t wait to come back.

This spa is a fantastic destination for individuals seeking an authentic Russian cultural experience. It caters perfectly to families with children aged 10 and above. Adjacent to the saunas, there's a restaurant offering delectable Eastern European cuisine and a variety of beers on tap. You can also indulge in reasonably priced massages administered by highly skilled practitioners. On my initial visit, I felt a bit apprehensive, but the welcoming staff went above and beyond to guide me through everything. Remember to pack a bathing suit and slippers; they'll take care of the rest. After my visit, I enjoyed the most rejuvenating sleep I've had in ages.

Excellent experience so far. Loads of different weights/racks/various cardio machines. Great gym that has multiple areas to utilize, making finding space to do your workout simple. All staff and other gym goers have been great so far. Very welcoming to absolutely everyone and their 4-legged friends. Delighted I’ve joined and looking forward to the warmer weather where I can take advantage of their huge outdoor space as well.

What an incredible experience! The sauna and ice bath class was absolutely awesome. Wayne, our coach, was amazing. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Def recommend it.

This gym OMG! If you’re looking for a place to thrive, they’ve got u! I’m a working mom, so my schedules vary from time to time, it was hard for me to find the time to go to a gym, since sometimes I have to care for my child and can’t leave her home. In other gyms I felt incapable of going with her without being judge or stared at, I love that if I have to work out she can go with me and wait at the waiting area or beside me. Schedules are awesome, they have something for everyone. I can workout whenever I please. The group classes are so cool. I was so intimidated at first, but the trainers are so welcoming, patient and uplifting, they make you want to do it, and do it right. I love Val’s and Chris’ class so much they’re great people! Can’t say enough 100% recommended!!!
Anel C — Google review
Solid gym. I use the “open gym” so can’t speak on the classes, but the gym side is great. There aren’t any machines, so you’ll have to know how to workout using free weights and squat racks, but you’ll always have a squat/bench rack to yourself and will never have to wait. The atmosphere and vibe is also really cool!
Kaveh S — Google review
Great gym facilities. Love the open gym concept where you book a time and can do some self directed workouts. They also have an app that you can use to follow along if you need inspiration. The sauna/ice bath is an amazing experience. And the cute dogs are so fun to have around. Can’t wait to go back!

Had such a great time at Element Outdoor Sauna! Denise is super welcoming and really knows her stuff when it comes to cold plunging, thermal contrast, and how it all ties into the vagus nerve and recovery. She explains everything in a way that makes it easy to understand and actually makes you excited about the science behind it. If you can, definitely book a 1-on-1 with her. It’s such a good mix of relaxing, educational, and motivating. Highly recommend!

My Boyfriend and I had an amazing experience. Denise is so passionate about the benefits of cold therapy and she is the only Certified Thermalist in Ontario. We truly felt her passion through all the knowledge she passed onto us and it made for a memorable first time experience. She helped guide us to go into the ice bath and breathe pass our boundaries. You would not get this at other contrast therapy spas. We got one on one attention which ensured we made the most out of our time there and get the most benefits from the cold plunge! The atmosphere has a Nordic theme to it . It is very peaceful. It is outside and you have complete privacy. It was an amazing first time experience because of Denise's care and attention to make sure we felt the most comfortable doing something that is naturally uncomfortable. Definitely will be back and recommend this place to anyone thinking about trying an ice bath or contrast therapy.

Best sauna experience I’ve had so far. The sauna was at 105 Celsius and the water in the cold plunge was cold enough to make ice (there were literal ice blocks). Old Mill Toronto Hotel is an upscale Tudor-style lodging that has been catering to travelers for over a century. The hotel offers refined rooms and suites, an elegant restaurant, and a full-service spa. Guests can indulge in afternoon tea with a delectable selection of finger sandwiches, house-made tea pastries, and various tea options. The hotel also features the only Spa Blend by Clarins outside of Paris, offering luxurious treatments such as the Signature Champagne Manicure at the nail bar.
I stayed at the Old Mill Hotel in Toronto with my brother and we had an excellent experience. The hotel is charming, with a historic architecture, very clean rooms, and impeccable service. The location is great, close to High Park and other interesting areas of the city. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!

Elegant hotel. Somewhat steeped in an era gone by… which is quaint and better than all the modern style hotels which are so sterile. Thoughtful classic furniture and elegant furnishings. Staff and service were absolutely fabulous. Especially the front desk. Rooms are quiet and beds are very comfortable. Everything spotlessly clean. I had one issue with our room and it was fixed in literally minutes. Underground Parking is across the street, so a bit inconvenient, but unlike most other hotels, they did not charge huge fees for parking. Parking was included in the room cost. A pleasant surprise. The grounds are wonderfully maintained and very pleasant for walking. Lots of nature surrounds the Old Mill grounds. And peaceful and quiet. You have no idea you are in the centre of the city….And it’s close to the subway if you want to avoid Toronto traffic gridlock. By subway, it took us about 15 minutes to get to the CN Tower, the Aquarium (a must see) and the Roger’s centre. This was the first time I ever took the Toronto subway, so this was an experience too….

This place lost its charm decades ago. This would have been a great visit. Unfortunately there were unclean surfaces like black hairs in the tub when we arrive. We got the KING suite but it was not clean at all. I had to wipe it from top to bottom with my disinfectant wipes I'm glad I brought. I would not return as the customer service was bad too. We had one meal at the restaurant but it was also lackluster. Seems racist. Do not come here as a person of colour or disabled as the property has one small broken elevator 🙃 which seems illegal, we had to drag out luggage upstairs several flights. We love historical buildings but this was crap

This hotel is a true hidden gem in Toronto. My stay there was overall positive. I was offered an early check-in which is something I truly appreciated especially that I had a very long flight to Toronto. The rooms are nice and clean and the service was professional. I had a free parking in the condo building across the street, which is also great. The hotel isn't in the downtown core though but it's in a very nice and peaceful area of the city. I highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

The Old Mill is such a beautiful place. The architecture alone is worth the visit. The woodwork, arches, and details throughout make you feel like you’re wandering through a castle. We came for their buffet brunch but took some time to explore the building beforehand. There are so many rooms and spaces for events, both big and small. I hadn’t been in years, but it’s nice to see that it’s still retained all of its original charm. It holds many precious memories for my family and I hope to create further memories here of our own.

The live performance by Kelly Lee Evans was amazing. The ambiance was great as well. The grounds/gardening was beautiful. The architecture was amazing to behold. My meal looked great- Artic Char; but it lacked seasoning. I guess the Kalamata/green olives should have been where the salt came from, but it wasn't enough. My fish was nice and hot but everything else was warm. Warning this plate has lots of lentils and a wedge of cabbage- I was very bloated following my meal and paid for it hours and into the next day. My dinner date enjoyed his steak and fries...but the peppercorn sauce wasn't "spicy" enough he felt. The burnbon/cherry cider didn't taste good. I should have ordered a glass of wine. The Black Sesame Tart was alright but the ice cream scoop was so little- there should be a world record for it lol. The french fries with sea salt and truffle oil taste amazing though!

About 10 days ago I ordered 2 "fresh" Mekerel fish to be cleaned and grilled for takeout. The butcher confirmed, after my insistent question, that the fish was day fresh. The minute I brought the packaged fish in my car, I realized the small of stale fish!! My car started stinking!! At home, when I opened the package, I saw two burned and charcoaled fish looking at me!! I am attaching the pictures!! I felt totally screwed and cheated. The first bite of the fish even after removing the charcoaled skin was the last one! Very disappointed!!! Not nice Ado is, not at all!!!

Worst Store Ever, specifically in desserts. Not the first time, I bought 2 years ago an expensive plate of baklava and kenafa as a gift and it smells and taste so bad and old when I opened it at the guests house, they threw some of it in the garbage. I took it with me to return and complain at the store and ask for a refund, the weighted it and give me the change. Yesterday May 22 2025, my son got 4 pieces of cake and paid 15 dollars. When I opened it found rotten as per the pictures below although, he asked them is it fresh baked, they confirmed yes. Adonis you are the worst store ever such a garbage place. Please don't buy from them

I love your store but won't rate higher due to the absence of a proper bicycle rack. I would shop more if there was one. And seeing how the one at No Frills is well used with the proximity of the Eglinton trail, customers and staff would benefit too. Please install a bicycle rack and I will revise this review at my next visit. Edit: adding two stars as I saw the bicycle rack at the back when leaving. Still, there should be a bicycle rack visible from the front entrance. You have a location where the cycling infrastructures is in place, and more than enough space to install one.

Been shopping here for years and the one word to describe this store is “inconsistent”. Sometimes it’s great and the items are good. Other times the produce you want is going bad on the shelves and the meat or fish smells terrible when cooking. Can’t rely on this store for good quality.

The infrared heating in the sauna provides effective treatment at lower temperatures than traditional steam saunas. The facility also features different workout rooms including Ride, HIIT, and Yoga with various instructors offering great workouts.
I have been attending Sweat & Tonic for the past year and it’s always an amazing experience, I typically purchase single credits and it’s 100% worth the money. You get a great atmosphere for not only fitness, but also for coffee chats or even studying with their Tonic Bar. There are tons of amenities, such as showers including body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion(all vegan as well), and Dyson hair dryers. My personal favourite classes are hot classes, and they come with complimentary cold essential oil towels to wipe off after. My first ever yoga class – and it was absolutely incredible! It was a hot yoga session, so the room was very warm, which added an extra level of intensity and focus. The instructor explained everything very clearly, making it easy to follow along even as a complete beginner. I really appreciated that there were options to modify the poses for those who are not yet able to do certain movements – that made me feel comfortable and supported. I left the class feeling completely amazed and inspired. Huge thanks to the instructor!

I’ve been a member for a little over a year and a half and it’s honestly one of the best decisions I’ve made for my well being 🥹 I feel stronger, lighter, and more energized 🫰🏻 The atmosphere is calm, clean, and inspiring. The instructors (and everyone) are all super kind and patient, always ready to help or answer any questions, especially if you’re trying new classes or just getting started. From the café, I highly recommend the avocado toast with an egg (ask for extra chili flakes and extra lime, it’s perfect 😍) and the Espresso Glow smoothie, which is great before a workout. Overall it’s such an aesthetic space where you truly enjoy taking care of both your body and mind✨

I absolutely love Sweat and Tonic! The space is beautiful, clean, and full of good energy the moment you walk in. The staff are super welcoming and always ready to help, whether you’re new to a class or a regular. I’ve tried hot mat Pilates, and the instructor brings amazing energy while also making sure form and safety are a priority. The facilities are top-notch — lockers, showers, and little extras that make the experience feel luxurious. Every visit leaves me feeling energized, challenged, and happy. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great workouts in a gorgeous space!

Sweat and Tonic is such a fun place to take classes! I especially love spin classes with Quinn at The Well. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the facility is gorgeous. I also love the cold plunge/sauna area you can use with a credit at the well, it’s so restorative! Picking up a smoothie on the way out is a must

When I first came to Sweat and Tonic (Yonge and Shuter), I was nervous and scared to walk into a gym again. It had been a long time and I was worried I’d be judged or given dirty looks. But as soon as I walked in the doors everyone was so kind and welcoming. In these last few months, I have taken so many classes with wonderful instructors including Dustin, Alica, Jacqui, Rachel S, Elaine and Heather. These wonderful humans have encouraged me and been such a huge support for me in my healing journey. I’m so grateful for each and every one of them. Especially Dustin. His tough but fun coaching style have pushed me to lift heavier and run faster than I thought I could. Also, the staff at the front desk like Jasmine, Mario and Bree (and Kylie!!!) are so sweet and kind. I always look forward to coming back to Sweat and Tonic because of the people, both staff and other members. I’m so thankful that I have found my community. Can’t wait to keep sweating with everyone!

Sweat and tonic is my go to for workout classes in Toronto! The inside is stunning and the aesthetics make you want to work out and push yourself to try your hardest. The change rooms have a Dyson as well as a diffuser which I appreciate as a wavy haired girl. They also provide you with yoga mats, which is great for those who are commuting like me. I would definitely recommend sweat and tonic for quality of classes, the aesthetics inside the studios, as well as the accessibility from Union Station and TTC subway stops!

The sole reason I ended up coming to Sweat and Tonic is for Kristin. Her class was well planned and well executed. Her voice and instruction was loud, clear and easy to follow. The class was challenging but achievable, and Kristin pushed the whole class the whole time. While hard it was a super fun class and time went by quickly. She monitored the whole class and was happy to provide friendly one on instruction where needed. Her playlist is fire and the passion, energy and kindness she brings to class is so very much appreciated. This was my first class at sweat and tonic and I will be back every week for Kristin’s classes. Very very happy and very very impressed!

Othership Yorkville, a wellness center with a location in Adelaide as well, offers individual sauna and cold plunging sessions or group classes. The experiences can vary from upbeat party atmospheres to quiet, meditative journeys. Visitors have praised the serene ambiance that melts away stress upon entering the space and have found the staff and community to be welcoming and kind. The dark and warm interior, music, herbal blends, and scents create a relaxing atmosphere for resetting and unwinding.
A+ experience at this amazing place. The space is beautiful, tranquil, and spacious. It truly feels like a getaway within the busy city center. Some of the sessions definitely get busy (the sauna can fit 60+ people!) and I appreciate that I can see class sizes when I’m booking to know which sessions have a ton of people registered. The real gem though are the staff + guides. They are knowledgeable, kind, and seem to genuinely care about my well being (not to mention super interesting people with their own creative endeavors outside of Othership!) Highly recommend doing the two week intro pass so you can try out all of the different sessions (they vary a lot in terms of energy output, time in the hot/cold spaces, and how independent you can be in accessing the space). Definitely something for everyone here.

I had a fantastic first class today called Guided all around-journey through the elements with Bronwyn Hope! It was so empowering and motivating! The first timers wristband is a nice touch! I loved every bit of my experience! Thank you to Jess who guided me through the ice bath and was a calm and inspiring voice! From first entering and getting checked in to the very end, I was thoroughly impressed at the kindness of everyone and how everyone both people taking the class and those of Othership were welcoming, good listeners and helpful!

Othership is always a great experience! I really enjoy the free flows because I don’t like feeling rushed about how long to stay in the sauna or in the cold plunge. The atmosphere is amazing, and every visit feels refreshing and restorative. Last time we tried the guided flow, and while it was overall a good experience, the only thing I didn’t love was that if you’re in group two and there are too many people, you have to stay in the sauna longer than you’d like—or even step outside to cool down. That part isn’t ideal, because going outside before the cold plunge makes it harder to relax into it. After a session, my friend asked the guide about the music playing in the sauna. She said it is a secret, but it turns out it was a soundtrack from a popular movie—one that another friend actually recognized and that’s viral on Instagram. It made us wonder why it has to be so difficult. Aside from that, everything else is wonderful. I really love this place and will definitely keep coming back!

I’ve been going to Othership for several months now, and it has truly become one of my favourite places. I’ve taken part in all of their sound immersion classes, relaxation sessions, and ice baths, and every experience has been incredible. The environment is welcoming and calming, and the team makes sure you feel comfortable and supported at all times. Each session feels thoughtfully designed, whether it’s the deep relaxation of sound or the energizing challenge of the ice baths. Othership is not just about wellness—it’s about community, balance, and feeling recharged. I always leave with a clear mind and renewed energy. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a unique and powerful experience. Damian Padilla

Participated in the Guided Down: Pure Presence session. The front desk team was very friendly and personable when we arrived. The space is impeccably clean, spacious and beautiful. Loira introduced herself and greeted us for being newcomers, as did other team members. The experience was unlike others I have tried and it was exceptionally relaxing. It was otherworldly for sure. Highly recommend it. Don't be afraid of the cold plunge!

This was my first ever class at Othership and I was blown away by Andrew’s class! I watched videos of other people telling their review on the class but after attending it is impossible to describe how incredible Andrew leads and conducts his session. I felt so comfortable and safe with his guidance and reassuring energy. I was so nervous to do the cold plunge and somehow made it through the entire 2 minutes. I highly recommend his class to EVERYONE and I cannot wait to come back!!!!

Having my daughter surprise me with a wellness experience at Othership Yorkville was truly unforgettable. The 75-minute self-guided journey through sauna, cold plunge, and the beautiful commons space was bonding, spiritual, and deeply relaxing. It soothed away stress while also challenging me in the best way. I wasn’t sure if I could handle two minutes in the cold plunge, but with encouragement and guidance from our leader, I pushed through and succeeded! That moment left me feeling accomplished, courageous, and riding a wave of endorphins. The environment is welcoming and inspiring, and the staff are kind, knowledgeable, and supportive. I would thoroughly recommend Othership to anyone looking for something different—whether for connection, relaxation, or personal growth. A truly one-of-a-kind experience!

Loved this hotel. Got a fantastic suite for 4 nights. Service was excellent. Room was perfect. Only thing I flagged was the food. Menu was either doing too much or not doing enough , either way I couldn't find anything to eat that made sense but that's fine others will like it. Great location.

Took the two bedroom suite for 7 nights. The suite was very clean and spacious but at the same time very basic for 2000$/night. The service wasn’t the greatest as they kept us waiting for several times when we would request something or they’d simply forget. They also visit your room way too many times and sometimes it feels like they’re just waiting for you to top them and if you were to you would run out of cash in no time because of the number of visits you get for absolute no reason.

Body Blitz Spa East is a women's only spa with two locations in Toronto, offering a blissful retreat centered around the health benefits of water. The spa specializes in hydrotherapy and features a variety of pools including warm Dead Sea salt pool, hot Epsom salt pool, and cold plunge pool. Guests can also enjoy amenities such as eucalyptus steam room and infrared sauna.
Made a reservation for 4 girls to spend a few hours at the spa for a girlfriend's 40th. It was so lovely and relaxing. I enjoyed that it was ladies only. Definitely created a different environment but was certainly relaxing and rejuvenating. We didn't do any services but enjoyed 2-3 rotations of the recommended pool rotation (which you certainly don't have to do). Staff were friendly and were consistently checking the pool area too make sure everything was clean and were testing the water/pools which is always reassuring. I would definitely recommend and return in the future. Thought the price was very reasonable! Towels, sandals, robes, and locks ARE provided. There are 2 fountains in the pool room. Would recommend their Hornby energy bars for afterwards and an iced drink for during. Would also recommend bringing a water bottle and electrolytes to remain hydrated and feel your absolute best post visit. Oh! And absolutely NO phones past reception which I also loved! Just disconnect and enjoy! Thanks Body Blitz!

I feel rejuvenated every time I visit Body Blitz women's spa. Friendly staff and service, love doing the full therapeutic hot/cool water circuit: warm pool, epsom salt hot pool, steam room, sauna and cold plunge. You can order fresh juices and this location isn't as busy as the West End. Their change room is well stocked, they give you a robe and slippers, and their RMT massage therapists are fantastic. Thanks for the great experience! Highly recommend. One of the best spots for relaxation in Toronto.
Farwa. K — Google review
Had a lovely experience at Body Blitz east starting in water therapies then on to a body bake and facial mud treatment and a 60 minute facial. Generally the treatments were excellent. Professional, relaxing and respectful. The mud treatment is a bit different then other spas in that the prewash and rinse are done on the bed instead of rinsing on your own in a shower. Staying on the bed allows you to stay in relaxation mode which is preferred. A couple of ideas for improvement. First, While there is a juice bar where you can buy juices and bottled water, other salons offer cold water stations. There is a basic school-style fountain in the water therapies area but the water was room temperature, not cold, and you can only really drink a mouthful per visit meaning you are up and down quite a bit. Second, I never thought I’d miss it but there was no spa music playing in the common areas or in the wet therapy room. It does really help with the relaxation to not have to focus on the actions of the therapists or other guests. A real miss in my opinion. Definitely will visit again.

We all need to call before each visit to see if all pools and rooms are open. AND BODY BLITZ NEEDS TO BE HONEST WHEN WE CALL!! This is ridiculous. Twice I've called before I went , only to find out something wasnt working or closed after I got there (and paid for parking). BE HONEST. So frustrating. I know they just want the money and dont want to stop you from coming that day, but it's dishonest. Everyone please call before. Body Blitz, do better. It's rude. And there's a training opportunity for the Asian staff at the front desk on August 30th, who laughed as she told me the Epson salt pool was closed, I don't care if it's a cultural thing, but you dont do that. She needs retraining. I spent money on parking and she laughed in my face. Body Blitz be honest when people call and ask and stop just trying to get our money. It's rude and wrong.

I swear everytime i get an RMT massage here it gets worse. Ive been to this location more than a handful of times. They never apply enough pressure where i want them to, and then when i asked them to focus on my upper back and shoulders she ends up massaging my legs and feet. The facilities can use some upgrades, there is some mold and cracks etc. sometimes no shampoo in the dispensers. Also staff are not really friendly, they walk around and dont even acknowledge you. They need to do a better job at enforcing no talking in the quiet zone, ladies will be having a full blown conversation so it makes it hard to relax. Steam room had no eucalyptus smell and wasnt even hot. Each time i go back i always get so disappointed. I do like the infrared sauna though. Also they slightly raised their price on RMT massage which is disappointing.

Bringing my 5 star review down to a 3 for a couple reasons. I will be back as I love it here, but some things need improvement. It would be great if the health questionaire was electronic. I came one day to use the waters in a great deal of pain and was asked to complete a form in detail that I have no health concerns. My one concern was my hand because of my carpel tunnel. The form was a bigger issue for me than the waters. Writing by hand is often painful. I commented about it and got such a dirty look, not from the girl checking me in but from her colleague with the red hair. The dressing area needs another bench. There is room for one. I have arthritis in both knees and standing while dressing is difficult and dangerous.

My sister and I were really looking forward to our afternoon at Body Blitz. However, we were very disappointed to learn, once we had paid, that the steam room wasn’t working. It’s our favourite amenity! Unfortunately, that was the second time this has happened. In the future, I will be sure to call Body Blitz before visiting to ensure all amenities are operational.

I visited Body Blitz Spa East last weekend with a friend. We relaxed in the pools, steam room, and sauna. Then we went for our non-RMT massages. I strongly discourage anyone from purchasing these massages because it was the worst massage I’ve ever had. On top of that, it was expensive so it was extremely disappointing due to the fact that it was a huge waste of money.

I’ve always had a great experience shopping at Pusateri’s. Their ingredients are consistently top quality and worth the price. I even placed a catering order for my birthday, and everything was amazing—fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. While it is a little on the pricier side, the quality makes it more than worth it. Just yesterday, I made spaghetti with clams using ingredients from Pusateri’s (I’ve even included a video!), and it turned out incredible. A few days ago, I picked up shishito peppers, and recently we bought fresh oysters and caviar—which were both incredibly delicious and top-tier in freshness. They also offer a range of catering services—from full-service setups to food stations or just pickup. I personally love buying their seafood—it’s always fresh, and I’ve never had a disappointing experience. If you’re looking for premium quality and great service, I definitely recommend giving Pusateri’s a try.

We have ordered (via delivery) 2 platters which are, each, recommended for 4-6 people. One was the seafood platter with lobster tails, seared tuna, shrimps and the relevant sauces. The other platter was had a variety of pastries, scones, sandwiches jam, berries etc (see photos). We also ordered a mimosa "kit" and flowers. The quality of everything was great and was shared by 4 adults and 2 children and we had plenty of food. It was a very good meal that was enjoyed by all. My 2019 review-The "new" store was a new built after the "old" store burnt down. There are 2 handicapped parking spaces next to the front door and many more at the back of the store. The store has 2 levels. The 2nd level has the washrooms, a laundry/dry cleaner (promoting free pickup and delivery for service totalling $50), a florist & gift shop and a dining area servicing those who want to eat their ready made food and coffees shop items (from the first floor). There is also an elevator to the 2nd floor. On the main floor, you will find the regular "departments" of supermarkets. However, the variety, quality and availability of specialty items is at a much higher level than the regular supermarket. Please see photos illustrating the above text

Oasis Aqualounge is a clean, fun, and relaxing club where you can meet new people and have a pleasant experience. The staff are helpful, caring, and create a sex-positive environment. The facility is elegantly decorated with easily accessible amenities. Visitors feel comfortable whether they are single or with a partner. The heated pool is open year-round, and there are showers for rinsing off at the end of the night.
Yesterday we went with my wife to oasis for the first time for the neon night. It was amazing. The only thing we didn’t like was that when we were in line through security the host screamed “Is someone else coming for the first time?” Which made us feel quite on the spot and not emphatic. But security control was good , overall staff was respectful and kind. While having the tour it was a shocking experience and a lot to take in for the first 10 min. But then the atmosphere is so nice that everyone feels welcome and in a safe space to the point where you feel you belong and good in your skin. No body shaming, no harassment looks and no uncomfortable comments. People from all over the spectrum in terms of age, race and body type are around with a crowd mostly in their 30-40’s . We went to look for female single partners but unfortunately they were few to almost none. There were mostly couples either playing with themselves or interested in other couples. We will come back for sure, hopefully to find more single females. On another note I think most people are not aware of the wrist bands code system when looking for players as we didn’t see anyone else wearing them. It would be great if the staff would inform about them upon entry. Pd. Pool is amazing and the vibe is so sexy throughout the club. Thank you for this safe haven!

Been coming here for a few years now and it has become a safe place for me in this city. As a trans individual, I always enjoy coming on more queer-centric nights, and appreciate that bar staff are always more than happy to write down my preferred name on my tab rather than my legal name! I’ve made lifelong friends here, and have even grown more comfortable in my body. I always enjoy just having an evening enjoying the pool, hot tub, sauna, and a couple drinks with new and old friends alike.

We will be back!! Soon!!
The P — Google review
On Wednesday, September 24th, 2025, I witnessed Oasis Aqualounge and its staff completely failed to uphold its own rules, protect its guests, or treat a legitimate safety concern with any integrity. When we arrived, we went to the locker room to change. A man (P1) repeatedly walked toward the entrance, staring at my friend for long periods, leaving, and returning to do it again. We ignored it at first, but it kept happening. When we went to the pool, another man (P2) sat on the bench and began doing the same - staring directly at V, not engaging, just watching. We moved to the hot tub to avoid it. P1 followed, standing outside and staring again. Both of us were uncomfortable, so we reported P1’s behavior to security. We then went to the third floor, thinking we’d have space to breathe - only for P2 to follow us up there alone, violating the posted rules against single men being on that floor. Even after we reported that, nothing changed. Within minutes, P2 walked into the dungeon, stood there staring for about 30 seconds, and walked away. At that point, we’d had enough. While getting ready to leave, P2 entered the locker room again and continued the same behavior. We both went downstairs, spoke to another staff member about how nothing had been done, and the security guard came over again. My friend told him they felt harassed and unsafe, and that the club wasn’t enforcing its own policies. Instead of doing anything about the harassers, security told my friend to “leave for the night.” We were already leaving. But as we were walking out, he pulled my friend aside, ripped off their wristband, and told them they were banned, claiming they’d made “ignorant comments” (For saying that the club primarily makes it's money from women, and they were failing to protect them) and were “uncomfortable with people existing in the club.” I’ve been a many time guest at Oasis, and I genuinely believed it was a space built on consent, safety, and body-positivity. But what I saw that night completely ruined that trust. The behavior of P1 and P2 was predatory, gross, and in clear violation of the club’s own posted rules. The way staff handled it - namely the unnamed security guard, dismissing reports and banning a guest for expressing discomfort was unacceptable and disgusting. I emailed Oasis management about this shortly after the incident, outlining everything that happened and asking for review or anything. They haven’t responded. Not even an acknowledgment. This post isn’t about vengeance. It’s about accountability. Oasis can’t call itself a “safe space” while ignoring harassment and punishing people who speak up about it. Guests deserve better. I personally won't be returning to Oasis anytime in the future, there are environments that care far more about our safety.

Had an awesome first time, will be back! For all my fellow white monster girlies, it was a very safe and comfortable experience. If you want to go somewhere, check it out! For my experience.. people did not chat much, and there are a lot of couples. As a single I basically didnt get approached... so you might also feel awkward solo? But you can hang out anywhere and respectfully watch pretty much anywhere, and the third floor bar has a good floor for some dancing (though cramped). Thanks to all the staff, everyone was very nice, and everything is very professionally done!

I’ve been coming to Steamworks for years with zero problems. The staff were always friendly, and I’ve genuinely loved the place that I even met my partner there. But on Sunday at 4 PM, Sep 21, 2025, my friends and I had the worst experience we’ve ever had, all thanks to one blond staff member working at that time. Before we even checked in, my friends were asking about the benefits of getting a membership. Instead of, I don’t know… doing his job and promoting it, this guy jumped straight into accusing us of not telling him about us already having a membership before he booked the lockers and the room for us (we don’t have a membership, that’s the point DUH!) Then, one of my friends who was visiting for the first time, misheard the room number. He went to double check and was met with pure attitude. Instead of just saying “it’s on the key,” the guy made him feel stupid for asking. I wish it stopped there. We accidentally left our room key inside the room and took the locker key instead (the room was dark, sorry we’re human). We asked for help, and this guy basically implied we were “acting smart” and trying to pull something, instead of doing the bare minimum and checking the keys, which would’ve proven we were telling the truth in two seconds. But hey, why do your job when you can just be rude? So yeah, we paid $120 for an experience soured by one smug, lazy, incompetent and completely unprofessional staff member who clearly has no grasp of basic customer service or common sense. Everyone else was lovely and welcoming. But this guy gave the entire place a bad name, and frankly, made our whole visit feel gross. Steamworks is still a great place and I’ll come back, but only if this guy isn’t working. If you walk in and see a blond guy with a smug attitude behind the desk, RUN! P.S. We weren’t drunk, high, or acting shady, so don’t even try that angle. I’ve also worked in customer service half of my life so I know a bad desk worker when I see one.

After many years as a loyal customer, I've decided not to return to this establishment. The inflexible and impractical 30-minute maximum break policy demonstrates a significant lack of regard for customer needs and will ultimately drive away long-term patrons.
RicKcx — Google review
I was there until around 2:15 AM and everything was great until I went to check out. When I approached the counter, the dark-skinned male staff member (I don’t know his name) was extremely rude and threw my $5 back at me in front of everyone. I kindly request that the manager review the security camera footage around 2:15 AM to see how disrespectfully he behaved toward customers. I usually come here twice a week and and the staff have always been polite during checkout, asking things like, “How was your night? Did you have fun?” But tonight was completely different. This staff member was very unprofessional, and his rude behavior made me feel very uncomfortable. I hope the management will hire more professional staff in the future, because tonight’s experience was very disappointing.
Fariba Z — Google review
I went there with my friend, and the guy at the reception told us to pay $44 so he could give us a key, a remote control, and towels. But when I was about to leave, he said I had to pay another $35 and that I couldn’t leave without paying it. This is ridiculous — you literally have to pay just to leave the place! It was honestly a terrible experience, and I strongly advise everyone not to go to this cheap place.
Firas Z — Google review
I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service I received. The two employees working after 4 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, were incredibly rude and unprofessional. Their attitude was unacceptable—they were dismissive, lacked basic empathy, and clearly had no regard for customer service. What’s even worse is that there seems to be clear favouritism in your hiring practices. If management continues to hire based on personal preferences rather than qualifications, this kind of behavior will only continue. It’s a serious issue that needs to be addressed immediately. One of the employees even charged me $17 at first, then randomly decided to change it to $20 without explanation. Is this how your business operates—charging customers however they feel like? Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I demand that this issue be escalated to the owner of the company, and I expect the security footage and audio from Thursday, July 10, 2025, to be reviewed. The way those two behaved was absolutely disgraceful, and something needs to be done. Start holding your staff accountable. Coach them properly, or replace them with people who understand what respectful service looks like. I had my student card with me and showed it to the blonde staff member, but he insisted I needed a proof of enrollment instead. For the past two years, I’ve had no issue getting my Steamworks card with just my student ID. Has there been a change in policy? If so, it would be helpful to communicate this more clearly. Unfortunately, the staff member’s attitude was dismissive and unfriendly. He even called a manager—whose name I wasn’t given—but they were equally rude. It’s disappointing to be treated this way, especially by the 4 PM shift team who seem to lack basic customer care. If this is the kind of service that continues, your current 3.5-star rating may quickly drop even further. I hope you take this feedback seriously and make improvements by hiring staff who genuinely value your customers.

26Central YMCA

3.6

Gym
Central YMCA is a versatile facility offering various amenities at affordable membership prices. While the gym may have limited space and equipment, upgrading to a plus membership provides access to additional perks such as a dry sauna, steam room, whirlpool, private gym and lounge area, towel service, toiletries, complimentary coffee and tea. The location also boasts a clean swimming pool with designated lanes for lap swims. Visitors have praised the friendly and helpful front desk staff at this Toronto-based establishment.
1️⃣ Overcrowded: Playing Turns into "Standing in Line" The YMCA badminton courts are like a battlefield for "court-grabbing wars." Singles? Forget about it! Besides the four players battling on the court, there are at least another four waiting eagerly on the sidelines. And that’s not even counting the "reserve team" sitting and waiting. If you’re not thick-skinned enough, getting cut in line after waiting for two rounds is just part of the routine. A group’s warm-up plus a 21-point doubles match takes at least 25 minutes. So, while you’ve booked 2 hours of court time, you might only end up playing 2-3 matches. This "punishment-style" badminton experience is something only those who’ve been through it will understand. 2️⃣ Slippery Floors: Safety Concerns The YMCA’s wooden floors are like an ice rink. Despite being used at an extremely high frequency every day, no one bothers to clean them properly. The oversized mop probably hasn’t been replaced in at least two years. While the staff does push around a big mop to clean the dust, the effect is minimal. The reason? Most people wear dirty sports shoes, or even shoes covered in snow-melting salt, straight onto the court. The lack of carpets in the hallway means your clean shoes pick up dust on the way from the locker room to the court. These slippery floors are fine for casual play, but if you’re serious about the game, you’ll quickly understand why there are disinfectant wipes by the court. Pro tip: Wiping your shoes only gives you about 10 good starts (with proper non-marking badminton shoes). If you can’t even start properly, well, this isn’t the badminton you’re looking for. 3️⃣ Chaotic Management: Random Discriminatory Incidents If you don’t leave quickly after playing, you might get ambushed by a "grumpy staff member." This staffer will demand that you pick up all the shuttlecocks used by the 70+ people who played, without providing a trash bag, because "there’s a trash can at the entrance." The farthest court is about 30 meters from the trash can. If you explain that you’ve already cleaned up your own shuttlecocks and trash, the staffer will emphasize that it’s your "group’s" responsibility. Since everyone else has left (and you look polite and humble), the staffer will give you the following "options": Leave your name and get banned with pride. Rat out your playing partners and get everyone banned. Name everyone who came to play (which you obviously don’t know, and they can’t ban that many people anyway). This unreasonable management style not only lacks basic service awareness but also carries a clear discriminatory tone. ✅ Summary: The issues with YMCA’s badminton courts can be summed up as overcrowding, safety hazards, and chaotic management. I’m not sure what those who recommend YMCA are thinking, but here’s my advice for those considering it: If you’re looking for social interaction, head left and check out PBC’s groups. If you want to improve your skills, head right to Can Etobicoke, where drop-in sessions cost around $30 a month. If you’re okay with the above three points and still want to go, I’ve got an advanced version of this "avoidance guide." If you’re interested, let me know, and if this post gets 200 votes, I’ll share it.

I was a generational, long-term member of the YMCA. After a traumatic experience of being filmed during a workout, I no longer felt seen or valued, despite doing my best to communicate how that member’s actions impacted not just me, but also other women and families who come to the gym to nurture their mind, body, and spirit. It’s been a year since I left, and the absence still weighs heavily. I haven’t found another gym that feels like home the way the YMCA once did. What hurt most was that, despite clearly sharing the facts and emotional toll of the incident, my experience felt dismissed. A quick refund for one month’s membership was processed, without any real acknowledgment of what happened or the broader implications. In the end, it felt like profits were prioritized over people and long-standing community members.
Lilith — Google review
I absolutely loved this sports center — until one particular incident. One evening, when I came to the pool, a girl warned me to be careful because someone was watching from the area in the women’s locker room reserved for people with disabilities. I didn’t pay much attention at first and went swimming. But when I came back, I noticed the same person still standing there, just watching. I immediately called the staff, who were friendly but, unfortunately, far too tolerant of this voyeur. I understand that under Canadian law people can’t be physically removed without process, but this man had been standing there for over an hour watching women change, and the staff handled it inappropriately — even giving him “five more minutes” instead of putting women’s SAFETY first. Will I come back? Yes, because I truly love this center and the variety of activities it offers. But I strongly want to see SAFETY prioritized above everything else. Pros: an incredible variety of sports, very friendly staff. Cons: SAFETY is seriously lacking.
Real R — Google review
This used to be a great YMCA however in more recent years has become less supportive of women's safety. Also phone use in the changerooms were a major issue. I would love to use this service because of location but more boundaries need to be placed in priority of women's safety and rights to peace of mind. Otherwise, facility is large, lots of space and staff doing the best they can within the limitations of new social standards.
Eve S — Google review
Oh god, the people at the central YMCA plus area are so cheesy and sassy. They mostly are all cranky and pissed off just by the vibes they give off. It's overall a nice area though by amenities. Just the members that have accumulated in the plus area, geez. Don't join here in the plus area if you don't want your vibes ruined yo. The people suck here. Just saying. Screw this place.
Jeff M — Google review
Multiple visits show swimmers using hard plastic paddles in intermediate lanes, risking injury. Lifeguards are dismissive and indignant, and Aquatics Director, Ms. Setayesh Hadavand never replies to complaints. High salaries, no oversight, real danger. Avoid.
Robert L — Google review
If you come here alone and want to play badminton, dont expect you can ever get on the court because there will always be groups of 4s telling you to get off and let them play. On the other hand, the gym equipments seem decent.
Jeff P — Google review
Location is ideal as it’s central of downtown Yonge, however it feels very outdated. The place looks like it hasn’t been renovated since the early 2000’s. Being in the centre of a queer neighborhood it also surprised me that there is not family inclusive change room! Does not feel very safe as a queer person there.

Nestled in the vibrant Church and Wellesley district, Elmspa is a delightful sanctuary that caters to both men and women seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. This charming boutique spa offers an array of treatments tailored to individual preferences, including soothing facials, invigorating massages, body therapies, as well as manicure and pedicure services. Unique offerings like LI'TYA healing rituals and traditional Thai Siam massages set Elmspa apart from typical spas.
Lovely experience at Elmspa. The staff were fantastic and super friendly! I’m six months pregnant and have been in need of some relaxation and I’m so so HAPPY that I was able to find exactly what I was looking for at the spa. My masseuse was gentle, patient and highly skilled and I left the spa beyond relaxed and grateful for the experience. Thank you so much. Definitely recommend : )

The Restore By Babar was such a relaxing and refreshing experience. The whole treatment was thought out with a very holistic approach that felt like it was designed for my rosacea and sensitivity proned skin. The products used were delicate and non-invasive and I felt very comfortable during the whole treatment. The spa itself is very clean and relaxing. The staff are incredibly accommodating and helpful and are experienced in their craft. I would highly recommend Elmspa spa.

I unintentionally arrived an hour and 15 min. early for my Jade Foot Massage. I sat in the waiting room, poured a green tea, sat and became very relaxed listening to ambient music. My attendant was Kamelia who has worked for the Elm family for many years. After my service, I enjoyed the spa for a bit longer before going back to the real world. Awesome experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I went to Elmspa in Toronto for the first time yesterday (after a long delayed flight) and had such a great experience! The ambiance is very relaxing and the service is excellent. I had my facial and massage with Pei-Pei, and she was amazing!! So kind and very skilled. I left feeling refreshed and pampered. Highly recommended!

We loved our experience at elm spa. Its location is very suitable if you are living anywhere in downtown. As we got to the location, the staff there were so welcoming and kind - they took our bags for me and placed it in a secure location while we had our massage. The place was very COVID friendly. They provided us with a robe and flip flops during my time at the spa. Before our appointment, they welcomed us to relax in the garden room where we were offered water and enjoyed the calming environment. We got the 80 min aromatherapy massage and it was so worth it. Andre the RMT was amazing and made us feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend this place to everyone and it made us feel relaxed leaving. It is worth every penny.

Cozy, quiet spot for basic spa services. Price point is decent and reflects minimal amenities (quiet bamboo seating area, steam room, one shower, tea and water). Not ideal for couples/friend groups who want to book services at the same time, as they often only have one aesthetician. The pedicure chair doesn’t accommodate petite people- I was moved to a much less comfortable chair. It’s a good alternative to typical nail salons and/or fancier spas if you’re looking for a quiet escape/minimal services.
Grace L — Google review
The facial—itself—was really nice. However, I found the after-facial checkout experience to be unpleasant. At the checkout, I was recommended $400 worth of products to use. I understand this cross-sell method is important for the business, but I was uncomfortable with the way it was executed. The person who helped me checkout was also in a rush to go back to her client, and so, that also added time pressure on me to make a decision if I wanted to spend $400 more than I had anticipated spending at the spa. I also felt that the aesthetician did not demonstrate understanding of ethnic differences in skin and skincare. For the equivalent products I was recommended at $400 (enzyme exfoliator, gel cleanser, tea tree spot treatment, gel cream), I could’ve bought better products suited for my skin at the Korean skincare store—which I did, and for significantly less $. I understand spa-grade skincare comes with a higher price tag, but I would’ve appreciated it if there was demonstration of understanding the client’s specific needs and profile. For example, maybe recommending the $400 skincare set to a mid-career woman in their 40s makes more sense than recommending that same $400 skincare set to an early-career 20s woman. The sales experience was not it. Minor point, but the online booking system was confusing in that it took in credit card info but didn’t process the payment. So, you do have to pay for the facial at the checkout.

This is my second experience booking an acupuncture session with William (Yee Jin) Sung, he's very kind and attentive. Made it in here with 10 minutes left in Happy Hour, which ends 1700. Didn't get staff attention until 1648, at which time she refused to honour specials. Food ordered, delivered by someone else and no attention given until well after plate empty, as well as drinks. Passed by table at least 7 times without a word or check in. Never coming back. Was always convenient when going to Mervish theatres or Roy Thomson Hall. Lost my business!

These sessions are particularly beneficial for anxious individuals as they provide grounding and tension release.
Kiko is a marvel to behold in both sound and space. If you're looking for a place to feel safe and rest, try a sound bath. If you're looking for high-quality instruments curated with intention and direction, look no further. There is no one doing what Kiko does, because there is no one like Kiko.

You will forget all of your worries for the hour and beyond. Beautiful outdoor space in the warmer months too. You can feel Kiko's exceptional healing energy the moment you walk in the door. There is no one like Kiko, it is a one of a kind space and experience. Truly special place. xo Fiona

A sound bath with Kiko is truly a magical experience. I’ve attended many different sound baths, but Kiko stands out as both a sound artist and a sound magician. She once mentioned that there’s no hierarchy of sounds—everything from tummy rumbles and street cars to bird song, crystal bowls, gongs, ocean drums, and voices are part of the symphony she creates. Kiko weaves artistry, beauty, sound, breath, and song, inviting me into a soundscape where I can experience both deep relaxation and profound insight. I come as often as possible because every session leaves me feeling delicious!

In this world of ever-increasing noise, anxiety, and distress, Kiko's sound baths are an absolute balm for the parched soul. Kiko has a gentle and magical soul, and creates a beautiful, intuitive, flowy experience. She is the perfect guide for these meditations.

When I enter Kiko's space I immediately feel calm and cared for. Her beautiful voice and diverse bowls and other "instruments" take me to a place of deep relaxation and often internal insights. I have brought friends & family to her sessions, and they are grateful for the healing that takes place. We have engaged with the Tarot cards after a session and that has served to add additional personal insight. I have also purchased a few of the wind chimes she carries. as gifts. I look forward to participating in a full moon experience with Kiko. If you have never attended a sound bath, I promise you there is no skill needed, only a willingness to surrender. Libby Wildman

I have visited this venue for many years, in its previous form and now as Splash. It is a warm and friendly place, quiet, with none of the pretentiousness you find in other, larger venues. The only drawback is its location. The entrance, for first timers, is hard to find; a hidden entrance, midway between a bicycle shop to the left and a vacant bar to the right. Look for the (outdated) blue and white sign above. The sauna is approached by a long and steep staircase to the second floor. Unfortunately, the site is not accessible for customers with mobility challenges. All of that said, this is a great place and should be high on your list! Remember, too, that entry is by cash only. (An ATM is 50 yards away.)

The cold plunge worked perfectly at 7C, the sauna was pumping heat and they even had a shower with shampoo and conditioner. Definitely coming back! Presh, the host, is first class and went above and beyond to welcome us into the space and guide us through how he recommends we make the most of experience.

I LOVE this place! I had been hoping for a place like this to open near me for some time. The owner is absolutely amazing and so accommodating and hospitable and you can tell he really cares. And the space is perfect IMO; the cold plunge and sauna are excellent and the details put in with the customized greeting sign, music, lighting and timer clocks are perfect. No more is needed. This is perfect for a quick plunge or a full plunge/sauna experience. If I could give it 10 stars I would:)

Hi, trying to get in touch but haven't been successful. Would love to try your service
Amrita S — Google review
I have been trying to get in contact via text message from the website and through socials to onboard or even join the waitlist. Zero response for over a week. It's too bad, I'd love to join as a member and bring guests. To the owner, please at least respond to messages or make post some updates somewhere.

I’m not even sure this place actually exists. Ive emailed, called, texted, on waitlist nothing zero communication ….weird.

Got to try an early experience here. Great space to get a quick hot and cold session in. Entrance was easy, process was simple. Will be coming back.
