Beach
Damlataş Beach is one of the well-known beaches in Alanya, offering a serene atmosphere and featuring a beautiful cave. Situated in front of the Damlataş cave, this sandy beach provides crystal clear waters and stunning views of the green mountain with the Alanya castle. However, it's important to be cautious when entering the sea due to its rocky and slippery entrance.
This is one of the best beaches in the city. It has fine sand, not pebbles. Also, thanks to the mountain, there is very beautiful emerald water. There is a cable car next to the beach. They say that in high season there is an entrance fee, but in December we walked freely.
Nika N — Google review
Damlataş Beach, located in the heart of Alanya on Turkey's stunning Mediterranean coast, is a place where natural beauty and history converge. Known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and golden sands, the beach offers a serene retreat for sunbathers and swimmers alike. What makes Damlataş truly unique, however, is its proximity to the famous Damlataş Cave, discovered in 1948. The cave, renowned for its healing properties due to its high humidity and constant temperature, adds a mystical allure to the beach’s charm. Visitors can explore the cave's stunning stalactites and stalagmites before stepping out to relax on the tranquil shores. Framed by the majestic Taurus Mountains and overlooked by Alanya’s historic fortress, Damlataş Beach combines the best of nature, history, and local culture, making it an unforgettable destination for tourists seeking both relaxation and exploration.
Tourist P — Google review
No one protects the purity of the water. Yachts and ships dump waste. Dangerous waste floats in the sea, including sewage from human waste on yachts, posing a risk of intestinal infection—do not swallow the water.
Alisia S — Google review
The Beach is very close to my hotel, literally takes couple of minutes to arrive. Visiting in December but weather is just perfect throughout the day, 21/22 degrees which is summer to me. I will definitely be back during winter to avoid the crowds.
Random E — Google review
Very nice beach 🏖️ clean water
Ekaterina E — Google review
It looks cool due to its Turquoise water colour but beach water is having some plastic waste and not clean. It will be occupied mostly with Europeans. The beach surface consists of uneven rocks. Risky for non swimmers.
Mahir S — Google review
A beach with coarse sand, I really liked it. You can rent a couple of sunbeds for 120 liras. But you should be careful when bathing, there is a chance to cut your feet on sharp stones under water and I advise you to wear special slippers
Saya — Google review
Public beach with blue flag. Free of charge except for sunbeds and umbrellas which are for rent if you wish to use them (1,5 €/each). Of course you are allowed to use your own portable sunbed/chair and umbrella free of charge. Showers and dressing cabins are also free of charge and adequate in quantity. There are several beach volley courts and bars/cafes nearby that serve snacks and drinks. The sand is coarse which is easily washed away. Seawater is very salty and warm. Salt causes very high buoyancy. The shoreline lacks sand and has some flat and slippery rocks which makes it a little hard to enter into the sea. It quickly deepens (in a few meters), too. So I can't recommend for little kids. You need to be careful especially in wavy days.

Kleopatra Beach, located at the western foot of a promontory in Alanya, offers a long stretch of coarse sand and gentle surf. The beach widens as you head north, providing uninterrupted views of the castle and Taurus Mountains. Along the shore, there are beach clubs with sun loungers and a wide promenade lined with palm trees. Visitors can access the castle via a steep cobblestone road or take the Alanya Teleferik from Kleopatra Beach.
This is a beautiful huge beach. It really reminds me of Thailand 😍. The sand is golden and the water was a nice colour in the winter - it must be stunning in the summer. This beach is 100% worth a visit when you’re in or around Alanya.
Noemi — Google review
The beach itself is very beautiful and convenient. However, it’s very dirty. I don’t understand why neither the beach nor the water is cleaned. The water is very polluted by visitors, with microplastics, bandages, and various waste that shouldn’t be there visible everywhere. The authorities and visitors show a very careless attitude toward such a beautiful place. It’s really a shame.
Emin S — Google review
cleopatra beach is truly one of the must visit places for swimming and relaxing. the sand and the sea are very clean, making it a great spot to enjoy the water. although both tourists and locals sometimes leave trash behind, i really hope this will decrease in the future so the beach can stay as beautiful as it deserves to be. the view here is stunning, the sunset, the mountains with goats wandering around, and the surrounding tourist spots all create a breathtaking atmosphere. the endless horizon of the sea brings a real sense of peace and relaxation. this natural wonder is also home to crabs, jellyfish, and even large fish, which makes the experience even more unique. on top of that, the cable car view over the area is simply amazing and adds to the overall charm of visiting this beach.
Cemre — Google review
Nice long beach with some flat rocks in the water. But easy to get into the water. Sunbeds and umbrella cost 375 Lira. Absolutely ok. 👍🏾
Benno T — Google review
Kleopatra Beach is absolutely beautiful!!!! The sand is soft, the water is clear and refreshing, and the whole atmosphere is just so relaxing. It’s a lovely spot to spend the day, whether you’re sunbathing, swimming, or just enjoying the views. There are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for hire if you need them, and lots of little cafes and restaurants nearby for snacks and drinks, which makes it really convenient. The beach was clean and well looked after, which I really appreciated. It’s popular, so it can get busy at times, but it still has a calm and friendly vibe, everyone just seems happy to be there. I really enjoyed my time at Kleopatra Beach and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Perfect for a chilled-out day by the sea!
M U — Google review
Kleopatra beach is so beautiful. The heat is unreal! The sand is lovely but gets super hot in August! I love going in the sea which is very warm, clean and refreshing. However the waves can get very powerful and knock loads of people over which is actually great fun! But if you're fragile take care! The back drop of Alanya castle is so beautiful.
Colin S — Google review
Absolutely stunning! The water was warm despite a cold day. Beautiful surroundings
Jenita P — Google review
The beach itself is amazing, very long and plenty of space for everyone. The sea there is beautiful, lifeguards are everywhere so it seems to be like a safe place to swim. Negative is no free toilet these days Paying 50p for every entry is just stealing money for your basic needs.

Beach
Tosmur Beach in Alanya is a tidy and accommodating sandy coastline, known for its cleanliness and helpful staff. The beach offers clear waters for swimming, with cool streams from the nearby Dimcay river. While the beach may have pebbles and rocks, it provides stunning views both day and night. Visitors can enjoy various attractions and beach bars during the day, making it a beautiful place to relax by the sea.
Clean beach with amazing views, especially in the night. At the day a lot of attractions and super cool beach bars
Emel R — Google review
Beach looks not attractive but the water is very clear and nice to swim. Streams of cold water from the river feel nice in hot afternoon. Lots of russian and turkish families.
Elena — Google review
rocky beach and nice tides. water great.
Marek R — Google review
Pretty nice but needs more cleaning procedures.
Smiley R — Google review
100% pick this beach over Kleopatra - less busy, and cleaner. Water is cooler (deeper and close to Dimcay river). Just note that this is a beach with pebbles/rocks so bring appropriate water shoes.
Rob H — Google review
the water is not clean. Below is a rocky place. There are five-star hotels around here, but they are not very good. . Cleopatra Beach has better water. And Cleopatra Beach has free showers and changing rooms. This location has showers for hotel customers only and showers with very little water. If you take the number 1 bus in front of the sea, you will go to Cleopatra Beach. The bus does not cost 10tl one way. Please move to Cleopatra Beach. You can use the shower until quite late. However, Turkey has a high smoking rate, so cigarette butts are everywhere you go. Other than that, the beach would be relatively clean.

Castle
Sights & Landmarks
Alanya Castle, a historic fortress dating back to the Hellenistic Period, stands as an iconic symbol in Alanya. Originally built for defense and control of the harbor, it attracted Mediterranean pirates before being expanded and enhanced by the Roman Empire and later the Seljuk Empire. The castle is divided into three parts: Outer Castle, Middle Castle, and Inner Castle.
Alanya is a cozy town in southern Turkey that I’m visiting for the fifth time. There’s something special here that keeps bringing me back. The narrow streets of the old town, the majestic hilltop fortress, turquoise sea, and incredibly welcoming locals create an atmosphere you want to immerse yourself in. The Turkish cuisine deserves special praise! Alanya offers the freshest seafood, aromatic kebabs, delicate lahmacun and mezze - an array of irresistible appetizers :)
Anton K — Google review
The castle has a great view of the city so you may only go there to see this fantastic view. We liked walking up to the entrance and they have clean toilets and a shop selling fresh cold drinks. It was not too busy maybe because we went there during the week. The whole place could be a bit cleaner but still good.
ABGAR G — Google review
Get on the cable car to the top to see some spectacular views. The castle is big and you could easily spend a whole day there exploring. You will need some decent footwear as there are many steps. Walkways are full of little bazaar type shops and hidden gems to explore. Visited with a guide to show us the best bits buy can easily make your own way around. The sunset was awesome.
Andrew S — Google review
Clifftop castle covering a hugh area. Can get chairlift or walk to top of it. Lots of great views all around it. Set out on different levels decent footpaths. Also did boat trip from harbour around headland again great views of castle walls.
Steve D — Google review
Views are amazing and the bazaar is nice with fair prices. Not much of the castle left that can be seen, would like more demonstrations of what it looked like. We went on a Friday afternoon and the castle was open to all for free, it was nice to walk around and see the views. You could just take the cable car up for the views and save some money but everyone has their preferences
Wiki S — Google review
Very cool experience. Incredibly beautiful up there on the mountain and you can see as far as you want! Lots of differences in level, so strollers and wheelchairs are not suitable. There is a small market at the top and also kiosks and restaurants along the way. We walked up and took the cable car down. The cable car was a scary experience for those afraid of heights and it's expensive. 920 lira for two people one way!
Anni B — Google review
Excellent view and great historic location. If you’re English speaking, I definitely recommend doing your own research to accompany your visit; the signs are not well translated and it’s hard to get an idea of the inspiring history of the place. Definitely recommend visiting at sunset, getting transport up the hill and visiting the market stalls on the way up before your visit as they will close
Lewis B — Google review
This was an amazing find on our holiday to turkey and 100% worth a visit. We took the cable cart up to the top of the mountain where the castle is, you can also drive up and park in the car park if preferred. The castle ruins were well kept and had little shops and toilets throughout, you can pay to enter the castle or if you want you can just walk around the outer ruins and grounds for free. We seen some amazing views of the surroundings including the harbour and the famous I ❤️ Alanya sign. This could easily be a half to full day out depending if you enter the castle or not and is perfect for children we took our now 6 and 10 year-old boys with us who absolutely loved to see the ruins and read the stories behind them.

Nature & Parks
Caverns & Caves
Nestled in the heart of Alanya, Turkey, Damlatas Cave is a renowned natural wonder discovered in 1948. The cave's unique air composition, with high levels of carbon dioxide and 95% humidity, has made it a popular destination for asthma patients seeking relief. Visitors can combine a trip to the cave with nearby attractions such as Kleopatra Beach, the Cable Car, and Kalesi Fortress for a full day of exploration.
Damlataş Cave is a really fascinating place to visit and a nice little escape from the heat! As soon as you step inside, you feel the cool, fresh air and see the incredible stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over thousands of years, it’s truly amazing to look at. The cave is not very big, but it’s well worth seeing, especially if you’re interested in nature and geology. The atmosphere inside is calm and quiet, and it’s easy to walk around at your own pace and take it all in. It’s also really close to the beach, so it’s easy to fit into your day if you’re already in the area. The small entrance fee is worth it for such a unique experience. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Alanya — a little hidden gem that’s definitely worth a stop!
M U — Google review
Nice activity if you like caves, stalactites and stalagmites. Very reasonably priced at 300TL for two adults (children go free). Only 3 stars as it's a lot smaller than expected. You go in, down some stairs into a recess where there are lots of stalactites and stalagmites. The cave has ancient healing properties according to legend. A nice place to escape the heat of the day.
Rhodri J — Google review
Damlataş Cave is a small and simple place, but it is truly beautiful and worth a visit. The natural formations inside are fascinating, and even though the cave is not very large, it has a unique charm that makes the experience special. The ticket price is very reasonable, and I really appreciated that they offer a student discount for those studying in Türkiye, which makes it even more affordable. The staff at the entrance were polite, helpful, and welcoming, which made the visit more pleasant. It doesn’t take too long to explore the cave, but it’s a nice stop, especially if you are already visiting the nearby Cleopatra Beach. The atmosphere inside is cool and peaceful, making it a great way to escape the heat for a while. Overall, a simple but beautiful natural attraction with kind workers and fair prices. Definitely recommended if you’re in Alanya.
Winda U — Google review
Beautiful natural cave with great price (150 TLR per person) but you can only pay with card, they don’t take cash. We visited at 10 am and there were only about 5 people inside but after a few minutes a large group of over 50 rude tourists (guess the nationality) appeared and crammed up the whole place. The number of people allowed in the cave should be regulated because there was nowhere to move. There are signs saying how you shouldn’t be loud or how you shouldn’t touch the stalagmites but people don’t care, they were sitting on the stalagmites, climbing over the railings and not following paths, shouting and ruining the overall experience for us.
Deniska — Google review
Lovely cave. Very good price and you can spend as long as you want in there. Obviously I went in the peak season and it was very packed, but definitely worth a visit, to experience thousands of years of history.
Colin S — Google review
Students pay 50TL and adults pay 150TL as of June 2025. The cave is small with only taking 5 to 10 minutes to explore depending on how long you're willing to stay. You get good pictures.
Not E — Google review
Very nice stone formations and stalactites, but also very small. It is a 10 minutes visit. Also there is a lack of controlling people to stop them touching the rocks. Could buy the tickets directly in the entrance and around 7pm there was no waiting.
Andrey M — Google review
Set close to chairlift up to Antalaya castle. These small caves are worth a visit for a few lira. Go downstairs into cavern area with stalagmites and stalactites.

The Alanya Archaeological Museum is a compact yet fascinating museum that showcases a diverse range of ethnographic and archaeological artifacts. Visitors can explore art, jewelry, marble, bronze, terracotta, glass and mosaic artifacts from various historical periods including Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine eras. The museum also houses an intriguing collection of coins dating back to the 7th century BC.
Alanya Museum, a small archeological and maritime museum in the city center, features ancient artifacts like the bronze statue of Heracles. Its garden is home to peaceful peacocks and sleepy cats living in harmony
Mustafa B — Google review
A smaller museum, but I enjoyed myself a lot. There was an outdoor area with many stone pieces and the interior was just one floor but a fair amount of rooms. The only lacking element for me was the gift shop. It was more of a vending machine, which would be fine but it was out of service. Overall I would recommend visiting. The outside is shaded and the inside is air conditioned and the have a clean washroom. There was also a room inside for children to play.

The museum was founded in 1967. Naturally, it is filled with antiquities - many ceramics, marble and other items, mosaics dating back to the Hellenistic, Roman and Byzantine periods. Enjoy the many beautiful photographs. And even better, when going to Alanya, go and see it in person.

Tersane Beach, also known as Sogukkapi Beach, is a serene and peaceful option for those seeking a quieter Alanya holiday experience. It offers pristine waters ideal for sea turtle spotting and swimming alongside historical walls. However, visitors should bring their own amenities like umbrellas and sunbeds as there are no rental facilities available. The beach's small size often leads to crowding, but its calm waters make it popular among tourists.
Pretty small beach! Water was no so clean as I expected but still a very nice place to visit!
Anastasia K — Google review
Beautiful beach and water. Minus a star because there was litter in the water. But overall, gorgeous, depending on the day and weather 😊
Noemi — Google review
Not a fancy, full service beach compare to other great on beach spots. Bring your own towel, umbrella and drinks if needed. But great place to go as the water is calm when others are wavy!
Emily C — Google review
I did not go directly to the beach but saw it. Looks cool. Not sure about cleanliness. Was too far to notice.
Alina V — Google review
Easy to get to, water clean and clear, not much beach, mostly rocky, small fish occasionally nip at feet when standing in 4 foot water, easily accessed if arriving by cruise ship at the dock,
Ken B — Google review
I only liked the view. Its sadly not a place to swim as it isn’t that clean. The municipality should do a better job at keeping these historic places and public beaches of Alanya as clean as possible.
Blonkersk M — Google review
Explore a peaceful beach with a fascinating history, brimming with charm. This delightful spot is perfect for families seeking a peaceful getaway, free from rowdy tourists. The water is remarkably clear and shallow, making it ideal for children to enjoy. As you stroll up the path, you'll be surprised by stunning view of the beautiful urban sea.
De R — Google review
Very nice little sandy beach! If it's crowded I would go somewhere else, but yesterday it was totally OK! The water is crystal clear, no waves and the temperature of the sea was awesome. Only negative point for the yachts coming there to let the passengers swim: this causes some plastic and other rubbish to come ashore which is a shame.

Alanya Municipality Public Beach is located on the east side of the city near the port, making it convenient for tourists looking to embark on yacht tours. The beach offers complimentary umbrella-shaded sun loungers, which are in high demand during the summer months. Visitors can enjoy a spacious sandy area with smooth entry into the water and pleasant swimming conditions due to the warm temperatures and calm waves. Despite being a popular spot, it's not overly crowded, providing a relaxing environment for families with children.
The best beach in town. No stones only sand and not deep water.
Marcin B — Google review
It's okay if you have small children, they can play with the sand or in the shallow waters. There are almost no waves. The sand isn't very clean though and the water could be more clear. In my opinion there are better beaches in Alanya for free.
Timur C — Google review
Good water temperature, free beach area, water clean with some silt, not crowded, unfortunately lots of cigarette butts in the sand,
Ken B — Google review
It's a wide sandy beach with a shallow entrance into the water and only a few smooth pebbles at the entrance to the sea, so it's good for children. We rented sunbeds at the Flamingo bar which had good food and toilets/showers. The sand on the beach is dirty though and the sea is even dirtier, so we preferred Cleopatra beach, which is much cleaner, even though our young children couldn't swim there.
Sola N — Google review
Umbrellas and chaiselongs for free. Just come not later 9 am. The sea is not deep here. Good for children!
Elena B — Google review
Only thing positive about this beach are the nice curves hiding under swimsuits - oh yeah, and the warm water. The garbage floating, loose dogs running and norwegian speaking turks is a little to much. My tip is to say you are russian, then they leave you alone.

Standing at the Red Tower in Alanya, gazing out over the deep blue sea, I felt as if I had stepped back in time to the Middle Ages. The gentle sound of waves crashing against the shore and the serene view under the clear sky created a sense of timeless tranquility. The tower’s red bricks and its ancient, steadfast presence pulled me into a different era, leaving me with a blend of emotions that were both nostalgic and reflective. As I looked at the medieval fortress, I couldn’t help but wonder about the people who once stood in the same spot, taking in the very same sea. What did this view mean to them? Did they dream of the unknown world beyond the horizon, or was it merely a backdrop to their daily lives? While the sea represented freedom and calmness to me, for them, it might have been a stage for survival, a gateway to trade, or a boundary against threats. The pleasant weather made my walk even more enjoyable. With the warm sunlight on my skin and a gentle sea breeze brushing past, I wandered along the path, savoring the blend of past and present. Amidst the modern buildings, the Red Tower stood as a portal to history, allowing me to momentarily step into the shoes of those who lived centuries before. For a brief moment, I felt less like a tourist and more like a character in a living story, where history whispered through the stones. Ultimately, what I felt at the Red Tower was a profound sense of connection. It was a link between past and present, between myself and countless souls who had also gazed at this sea. Perhaps they, too, had felt the same breeze, stood against the same horizon, and pondered their place in the world. My experience at the Red Tower was more than just a travel memory—it was a resonant moment that left a lasting imprint on my story, blending the ancient with the present in a way that felt both humbling and inspiring.

Great historical place. Couldn’t go in as it closed as I arrived, but a fascinating history and satisfying walk round the shipyards which are not far away and very cheap for entry.

the red tower (kızılkule) is definitely a must-visit spot. the sea below is very clean, the view is stunning, and the tower itself tells a rich historical story — it’s truly wonderful. i highly recommend exploring both the inside and outside of the castle, as every part has something unique to offer. for me, this place will always remain a part of my childhood, and i deeply love it. it gives me an incredible sense of peace and connection. the view of the ships and boats during sunset is absolutely breathtaking. at the upper parts of the castle, you can also find different restaurants and tourist spots where you can take a break, enjoy the scenery, and fully experience the magical atmosphere of this historic landmark.

great place worth visiting. In addition to the history of the tower and ship yard there was an exhibition as a part of the 9th ALANYA INTERNATIONAL CARTOON COMPETITION with the topic "Living in a world with artificial inteligence". The exhibition was a great contrast to the surrounding history. Highly recommend.

Come here at the evening, the view is better and more cosy. Very touristy place, you can see it once but that's that. I did not go inside, so cannot comment on that. Seems like you can go around the defense walls which starts at the castle. You can go walk on the water nearby, don't miss that as the little stones are smooth for the foot and feels well.

With breathtaking views and an enticing menu that caters to various palates, this club creates an inviting atmosphere thanks to its attentive staff. While it boasts lively music and an energetic vibe reminiscent of a nightclub, it may not suit everyone looking for tranquility.
Nice place , foam party . Good atmosphere, music and dj. Shisha was about 1000lira, but I didn’t try it. Because other places from 250-600 lira(hookah) Prices for cocktail now is higher then in previous review.

Such unfriendly staff, as soon as my husband and i came in those young boys are standing whispering about us and laughing at us. What pissed me of is when they come to our table and look at us and when we are ordering they secretly laugh. I came to have a good time not to be bullied

My family and I stayed at the hotel a few doors down from GOYA for a week in October 2017. We ended up coming to GOYA every single day... even choosing it over our hotel's beach & pool. The staff is so friendly and helpful, and the bartender Adnan is amazing (makes the best drinks)! The food is also very delicious and the menu has something for everyone. Infinity pool with a swim-up bar... stunning. It was very hard to leave. Temperature was perfect, pool was clean. There were plenty of sun beds and places to sit/hangout. DJ was also amazing and played a great variety of music. I can't wait to come back to Turkey and will definitely be coming back to GOYA!!

Amazing beach club. We loved it! We had so much relax. No kids. Here just for adults it is important. The sea view so beautiful. Pool so beautiful. Bar nice. Good shisha. Alanya Marina is a central and historically significant spot in Alanya, housing iconic landmarks like The Red Tower and the Shipyard. It's a must-visit port with a walking area, entertainment venues, cafes, and restaurants. The marina is also known for its pirate boats that offer tours around the area. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the sea from the castle wall while admiring these unique vessels.
The pier was full of joy. Is this what quality feels like? The depiction of Odin and the octopus monster was perfect. Thanks to them, I had a wonderful time!
Hyunjun L — Google review
Alanya Marina is a serene and picturesque haven nestled along the turquoise coast of the Turkish Riviera. Tucked between rugged hills and the endless blue of the Mediterranean Sea, it offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, modern facilities, and relaxed charm. The marina is a peaceful escape from the bustle of central Alanya, yet just minutes away from the city's rich history and vibrant nightlife. With its gleaming yachts and sailboats gently swaying in the calm water, Alanya Marina feels like a postcard come to life. The surrounding landscape is stunning — pine-covered hills roll into crystal-clear waters, and sunsets here are nothing short of magical. It’s more than a harbor — it’s a lifestyle, a moment of stillness in an otherwise fast-paced world.

A beautiful harbour with lots of 'pirate ships', especially in the evening when all the lights are lit up. Probably not a place to visit on a regular basis, but a good attraction to visit once or twice. Parking right next to the harbour is expensive. Either park east of harbour on a public beach parking, or on nearby streets

The Shipyard Alanya holds great historical significance, as it was built in 1229 and played a crucial role in the Seljuk State's maritime power. The structure's five arches showcase the architectural prowess of that era. Situated above the shipyard is another attraction known as Alanya Tophane, which was constructed for defense purposes.
Alanya Shipyard Alanya Shipyard was built by Seljuk Sultan I. Alaeddin Keykubat in 1227-1228. Located near Kızılkule in Alanya, Turkey, the shipyard is the first Seljuk shipyard in the Mediterranean and was completed in one year. The sea-facing facade of the structure, consisting of five arched chambers, is 56.5 meters and its depth is 44 meters. Designed to take maximum advantage of daylight, the entrance gate has an inscription decorated with the sultan's coat of arms and rosettes. The shipyard includes a mosque, a guard room and a well that has become dull over time. With this shipyard, Alaeddin Keykubat earned the title of "sultan of the two seas" and the shipyard symbolized the maritime power of the Seljuks. Today, it serves as a maritime museum.

Rude and unbalanced staff. Families with children are allowed but not welcomed, as you can see on their faces the first time they see you. An employee yelled at my wife and threw things, scaring our 3-year-old son and bringing him to tears. The reason for this attitude was that they hadn't ordered anything from the pool bar.

When visiting Alanya, there are numerous attractions to explore, including the Cable Car Alanya. This popular tourist spot offers a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea and the entire town from the top of Alanya Castle. The cable car ride is reasonably priced and provides a clean and comfortable experience. Additionally, visitors have the option to purchase VIP tickets for a more exclusive journey. At the top, there are restaurants where one can enjoy a meal while taking in the spectacular views.
The Alanya cable car is a must-do experience! For just €10 (both ways), you get breathtaking views that are worth every cent. As you ascend, the view of Cleopatra Beach is absolutely stunning, and from the top, you get a whole new perspective of Alanya's beauty. The ride is smooth and scenic, offering picture-perfect moments in every direction. Whether you're a nature lover, a photography enthusiast, or just looking for a relaxing activity, this is an experience you shouldn't miss!"

For two return tickets for foreigners are 1000TL but one way is 950TL. ( not sure about the price for the locals) So it's best to get a return ticket to make your money worth. It's quite hot to hike up, cable car is much more easier. Cable car is stable and you can get a lot of nice views from the top. If you are renting a car and decided to drive there, best advice to make sure you park at a designated parking area or go earlier before it gets rammed with cars and tour buses.
Poi T — Google review
Return ticket 280TL Can be a small wait to get a ticket and board. The ride up takes about 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Nice view as you travel up or down. Be aware that there are a lot of steps when you get off at the top and can be difficult but rest areas every 100 metres.

Nice views - worth the 500 lira round trip there and back (Aug 2025 - https://alanyateleferik.com.tr/fiyat-tarifesi/) Tickets available on site. Come early to avoid queues. Each car fits around 6 people and provides stunning views of the surrounding city and area. Also a convenient way of getting up and down to alanya castle which is also worth visiting.
S.M.G. S — Google review
We were waiting more than 30 minutes. It’s because there is big distance between each cable car and the process it’s very slow. We were there around 18:30 and the line was very big. The cabin itself is comfortable and time to go the top is around 5 min. You can by tickets for the cabin only for two people (private) but I think it’s not worth it. The ticket per person was 240 LIRAS as per 09.08.2023
K. C — Google review
Lovely views, our wait wasn't bad and kids loved it
EMD — Google review
We paid like 22 euro per person so it was very expensive for the ride bz it goes only half way and then half you have to walk. The view are very nice but not woth for the price. If you are doing first time the ride then you must go but for us was like 5th time so it was not worth it.But we asked to a taxi driver and he said 10 euro.

(Translated by Google) As someone born and raised in Alanya, I say: absolutely, absolutely DO NOT swim here, regardless of the time, especially in the evening or early morning, regardless of summer or winter! The sea is so shallow that you're walking, not swimming. Even if you stray too far from the shore (very close to where the ships pass), your feet will still touch the ground. The water is filthy and murky. It gets even dirtier when the summer season begins, and it gets incredibly crowded after 4:00 PM. The Covid-19 virus may have even originated here. Even in normal times, it's such a terrible place that you'll get sick. There are stray skunks on the beach, uncivilized creatures, and animals pooping everywhere. Let alone swimming, even just walking or sitting on the sand is a huge mistake. The municipality absolutely needs to clean and tidy up this place. There are much more beautiful beaches in Alanya. I couldn't find a photo of it during peak hours, if I had, I would have added it, but I assure you, it gets very crowded. (What I'm saying happens when the season starts in the summer. You can't swim in the sea in the winter anyway, and the beach is cleaner. But in the summer it's terrible.)

Beach
Portakal Plajı, also known as Oba Beach, is a tranquil and picturesque seaside escape in Alanya. Away from the crowds, it offers a more relaxed atmosphere and stunning sunsets that reflect its name, which translates to orange. Visitors praise the beach club Number 9 Parador for its non-pushy staff and affordable amenities. The beach provides a safe and clean environment for families to enjoy swimming and relaxation near the city center.
Beach club Number 9 “Parador” in Portakal Plaji was our favourite out of 4 places we tried in Alanya. Staff weren’t pushy, sunbed/umbrella hire was free and Efes large beer were only 17 lira (some other places were charging 25!). So we saved a lot of money compared to more popular spots in Kleopatra Beach. Also most of the beaches we went to in Alanya had massive, flat, slimy rocks where you enter the water which is really dangerous and difficult to find your footing. Best part of Number 9 - there’s a gap where there’s no large rocks so you can walk out to waist deep water without worrying about falling on your butt. Great sunset views as well.
