Public beach
Praia de Antunes is one of the most sought-after beaches in Maragogi, known for its variety of beach bars and vendors offering snacks, drinks, and rental services for chairs and umbrellas. It's a great spot to soak up the sun and relax while still having some commercial infrastructure available. With calm waters forming a large lagoon that provides a privileged view of the coral reefs during low tide, it's often considered the best beach in Maragogi.
Gorgeous place! This is one of the most beautiful beaches I visited in my entire life. I highly recommend it.
João G — Google review
It’s a tourist trap! You need to pay even to breath in the beach! But it’s very beautiful!
Leandro A — Google review
It is recommended to take a blabla from Recife! Returning will be difficult unless you choose rides with at least 2 confirmed passengers. I had my reservation canceled at least 6 times. I stayed a night in maragogi and spent an afternoon in porto galinhas. Both cities have cheap hostel rates. There are small vans that go to the further beaches, and they pass very often (5 to 7 reais). I suggest to stop to the first beach (grande or antonin) and working your way to the center.
Antoine A — Google review
Amazing as usual.... quiet place, beach is simple the best, warm, shallow and beautiful
Jean F — Google review
Clear blue beach. Amazing color sea, very warm water, and calm wave. If you visit Maragogi, here is one of best option to go. It is close to Barra Grande beach, you can go two place at the same time.

Amazing turquoise water! Really fun hammocks in the water
Maya G — Google review
Nice beach but the weather was not in our favor. Because of the rain the water was murky
Nick K — Google review
The water is warm. There are no waves. The water, close to the sand is dirty because of the boats. To get a chair there, normally you need to pay around 100 reais consumable. The sand is hot. You need to wear flipflops.

(Translated by Google) Excellent beach, less busy, inside the city, more local people go, a lot of tourists come on tours, but they soon leave and everything is wonderful, normal prices, actually it depends, if you have the bracelets for tours on the boats, they will want to sell you the most expensive things, but even so it is cheaper than Maragogi and the beach is even more beautiful.

(Translated by Google) Very calm and great for children even at high tide. This is where the Moses path is located. There is a lot of seaweed on the sand, a natural phenomenon. The water is generally warm and the waves are very calm. The neighborhood is still very simple and has very narrow streets and alleys, but it is completely safe. There is no nightlife or craft fair. É onde fica o caminho do Moisés.
Tatiane A — Google review
(Translated by Google) Maragogi lives up to its reputation: unforgettable natural pools, crystal-clear waters, and paradisiacal beaches. This beach boasts all of these, as well as the Moisés path, a long stretch of sand that enters the sea at low tide, where you can walk. However, when I went, this stretch of sand was quite crowded, which made it difficult to appreciate the beauty of the place. Photographers in the natural pools feed the fish to take photos. I believe this is interfering with the region's food chain, and I think there should be controls on this.
Matheus P — Google review
(Translated by Google) I love you, Barra Grande! My favorite beach in Maragogi, wonderful kiosks, fair prices, a very clean and warm beach, no waves, crystal clear water, many places to take pictures, plus it has the Moses Trail which is incredible, where I said goodbye to Maragogi. (Original) Te amo Barra Grande!

Antunes Beach is a picturesque and relaxed destination in Maragogi, Alagoas. It is renowned for its crystal-clear waters, natural pools, and coral reefs, making it a popular spot for snorkeling and diving. The beach offers a calm atmosphere, ideal for families and those seeking relaxation. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of beachside stalls offering food and drinks, as well as the option to rent umbrellas and chairs.
Excellent beach. Clear and calm waters. You can walk to the corals when the tide is low (5km aprox) There are small bars that rent a table with beach umbrella and chairs as long as you need only by consuming a 'petisco' (which is a kind of fast food). There are also 'beach vendors' that provides ice creams, 'cocadas' (kind of sweet cookie made from coconut and condensed milk, excellent), coconut water... etc. You'll also find kids selling their art, or at least expecting you to see how they create their art, they are awesome.

Praia Xareu, also known as Praia da Bruna, is a tranquil and almost deserted paradise beach in Maragogi. It offers clear blue waters, coconut palms, and a lagoon at low tide. The beach provides minimal infrastructure with only a few options from local vendors and the Paraiso Beach Bar. This makes it an ideal choice for travelers seeking relaxation without the crowds and not minding limited dining choices.

(Translated by Google) We didn't go to the beach on a good day. We arrived early to catch low tide and go on the tours. But the weather didn't help... It was cloudy and rainy, but we still went on the tours. To see the Peixinhos, they didn't allow us to take bait, only a private photographer could. So we were forced to hire someone. There were few fish compared to the other beach. The second tour was to see Moses' path, but the tide didn't help and there was no path at all. Just a few spots to take photos and everyone had to pay in addition to the tour. The third was a beach that I forgot the name of now that I said it had the clearest water in the region, but since the sun didn't help, it was the same as the others. So our tour of Maragogi was pretty reasonable. I wouldn't go back and I don't recommend anyone to go. I prefer Milagres a thousand times over. Então fomos obrigados a contratar. Prefiro Milagres mil vezes.

(Translated by Google) A place with above-average beauty. The water is hot outside. Good infrastructure, with kiosks, parking, showers, etc. Perhaps there's a lack of portable toilets. The main problem is the number of vendors. At first, you can tolerate it, but after a while, it starts to get annoying. You have no peace, and they're extremely insistent. Besides that, the pool tour is also amazing. It's impossible to come to the area and not visit this beach. Agua externamente quente.

(Translated by Google) A superb beach for seeing the natural pools across the street. We went there by canoe for 40 reais an hour, which allowed us to avoid being stuck in the same spot as all the other boats. Allow two hours for the round trip to enjoy the area and see several small pools. We did it with a 4-year-old; she loved it and could walk everywhere in the pools. We had to wear shoes, though, because you'd have to walk on rocks. Be careful with the food on the beach, though; we got sick that same evening.

Maraga Beach Hostel is a laid-back accommodation located just across the street from the beach in Maragogi. The hostel offers a rooftop terrace with stunning views of the sea, as well as amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi, an arcade/game room, and tour/ticket assistance. Guests can also enjoy a bar/lounge for their favorite drinks. The property features individual lockers, luggage storage, and board games/puzzles for entertainment.
This is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The staff are very friendly and the facilities are great. The breakfast deserves a special mention because it is unbelievably good and the ladies who cook it are friendly. The location and the view from the top floor is amazing and the bathrooms are kept clean. The only minor things were 1. The wifi was sometimes patchy from our room and 2. someone staying in our room kept turning the air conditioner colder so our room was FREEZING! Maybe the hostel should remove the remote from the room and have a set temperature or provide blankets on the beds instead of just a sheet. But we had a great stay and I would 10/10 recommend ! Obrigada!

(Translated by Google) Japaratinga Beach is a true paradise on the northern coast of Alagoas. Its crystal-clear waters, coconut groves lining the shore, and the tranquility of the sea convey a unique sense of natural refuge. For those seeking a destination with a paradisiacal atmosphere, this is undoubtedly one of the most enchanting places in the region. Structure and Environment: Despite its impressive beauty, one notable feature is the presence of dirt in some areas of the shore. Unfortunately, this can compromise the experience, especially for those hoping for a completely preserved landscape. Even so, it's important to note that much of the beach remains pleasant and well-maintained, especially in the busiest areas. Is it worth a visit? Yes, it's very much worth it. Japaratinga Beach is one of those destinations that enchants with its lush nature and the authenticity of a small, welcoming town. Even though it requires greater attention to cleanliness in certain areas, the experience of visiting the place is worth it, whether you're relaxing, walking on the soft sand, diving in the natural pools, or simply gazing at the horizon. Japaratinga Beach is beautiful and idyllic, perfect for those seeking tranquility and connection with nature. Despite some dirty spots along the shore, the destination remains highly recommended and deserves to be included on the itinerary of anyone visiting Alagoas. Vale a Visita?

The most famous pool is the Welsh, which is the largest in the region and can be reached by boat or hired tours with guides from local agencies. These pools offer opportunities to snorkel or dive amidst clear waters, colorful fish, and coral formations.
Best of the best. I've really enjoyed
Ferhat I — Google review
Beautiful place where we can see clear water and several fishes. But it depends on weather and people crowded. It tales 20 to 30 minutes to reach here by boat. I recommend to take snorkel set.
Papipupenta — Google review
Super crowded (over 10 boats to a pool) with very low visibility. The place is an absolute money grab, the companies simply want to sell you snorkling, photos, drinks, everything you can imagine once you are in the water with them... besides that there service is just unfriendly. Do not recommend it as it is a waste of money that is causing more harm than good to the environment. It might have been good in the past but now is simply a circus of boats and prople selling you stuff in the water. '
Pedro B — Google review
Without a doubt a must visit situation. The natural pools are amazing. Take care that you ask for the correct times. You need to make sure you get a catamaran. The service and prices are the beach are okay, nothing to crazy and as expected.
O K — Google review
I have done 2 tours and both of them were so full of people. Maragogi is overrated 100%. City does not infrastructure needed / swming pool - the visibility is low in some points and definatly they is not fish diversity. I saw people diving with cilindro in less than 1 meter depth. Until now was the worse place that I have been. Too Many people they try to seel you everything even to take pictures. Sao Miguel dos milagres is smaller but the tours over there to swimming pool were nicer .

Ok, nothing special. Brown coral, perhaps three or four species of fish. Nice for an hour or so. Glad it wasn't far and was relatively cheap.

Praia Peroba is the first and most extensive beach in Maragogi, starting from the Persinunga River, which divides the states of Pernambuco and Alagoas. The further north you go from Peroba, the closer to the beach are the reefs, allowing for walking to less crowded natural pools during low tides. To the south, including Peroba and all of Maragogi, access to natural pools requires a boat.

(Translated by Google) A pleasant surprise, as it is a beach that is not very popular compared to other beaches in Maragogi, such as Antunes and Barra Grande. The waters are clear and there are sandbanks that form at low tide, allowing you to go quite far into the sea. The natural pools (Croas) are a very interesting attraction, and are worth a visit. There is a huge sandbar that stretches for minutes on foot out to sea (I didn't even go all the way to the end). There were no shops nearby in the area where we were, which wasn't a problem for us, but it's worth mentioning. There is a lot of seaweed right in the first stretch of water, which can be annoying for those who are bothered by it.
