While the food was great, the service was lacking. The coffee and food took a really long time to arrive, so make sure you are not in a rush. We had ordered waters that never arrived and wanted mimosas but were informed they only start serving alcohol at 12:00. Despite this, the staff was super friendly and overall I think La Libertad is still worth a visit!

The food portions are huge and delicious! Make sure to be really hungry when visiting. Drinks were delicious and refreshing. I ordered some orange juice, but it was to sweet, since it's normal for people here to add a bit of sugar to it. Reservations are only after 1pm so, if you're planning on going for breakfast, you better be early. Since it's always busy you do have to wait at least 30min to get a table. There are 2 areas, indoors with A/C and outdoors. Due to the extreme weather here, I recommend indoors.

Incredible service! Inside seating does seem a bit crowded and claustrophobic so I sat outside however it was a bit hot which is to be excepted. The service was great and informative on the menu! Highly recommend the nutella and queso de bola french toast. The horchata latte did not taste like horchata but still ok. I recommend trying another flavor!

Excellent quality food that was very tasty. There latees were also very good. Beautiful use of a colonial building. I am gluten free and there was plenty of options.

We didn’t have to wait to get a table and the interior is pretty nice. We weren’t impressed by the food though, we both ordered huevos motuleños, which lacked the plátanos, but wasn’t very flavorful either. But to be fair, the price was okay.

Had perfect breakfast at this restaurant! The staff deco and ambiance is very nice, colonial design of the place adds to the ambiance of this eatery. We ordered French toasts and Chilaquiles. You can choose to add Nutella or other options, I went with Nutella and it just worked perfect for me. With chilaquiles, you can order with chicken, eggs etc. I also ordered coffee Americano to have with French toast. All the items were good and upto the mark along with staff and service

A pleasant spot with good food, desserts, and drinks. It’s slightly pricier than others nearby, but the experience and service are worth it. Great for brunch, a date, or a quiet coffee. Shops and galleries with creative designs are also there.

Lovely place I love to have breakfast when I’m in Merida. I always thought their avocado toast is the best in town but I have to say that recently, I felt it went a bit downhill, probably for the low quality bread they use. The waitress are really nice. The place remains a good place to spend some time and to work from a computer. Expensive for what it delivers. The quality is average!

Well, Mérida is definitely hot and humid — but at Casa Tho, it was a nightmare. We went this morning for breakfast, and while the place itself is beautiful, the experience was very disappointing. We asked them to turn on the fans, but they said there was no electricity — quite odd for such a nice establishment. Service was terrible and breakfast was just okay. It took over an hour for our food to come out of the kitchen, and another 20 minutes just to get the check. Overall, I do not recommend this place. Beautiful setting, but the service and organization were unacceptable.

We've had two lunches here, and we've loved both. The first day we had the avocado an salmon toasts. The next day, I had the tuna tartare and my wife had the spicy ca rrot soup. Everything was excellent. It has a lovely quiet atmosphere, similar to old Singapore (the weather is so similar). The margarita was probably one of the best I've ever had.

You must stop by this place for a divine meal and artisanal shopping. We had some cute cocktails and bites including the arancini and the sandwich made with bacon , grilled pineapple, Gruyère. The stores include an art gallery a carla Fernandez store with amazing clothes and a number of other boutiques including a jewelry spot and some home furnishings

Gorgeous older building with precious courtyard turned into a collection of boutique shops and a restaurant. The shops feature high end designer clothes, products and art. Definitely an interesting stop as you’re exploring Paseo de Montejo.

Amazing food and a feminist bookstore in one. If they have the Chile Relleno on special, get it. It's huge, packed with ingredients, and will ruin the tex mex dish you think is good. Very attentive service. They get by with English. The front is a bar, the back is a patio under a thick foliage. We had five dishes and all were top tier.

Fantastic, fresh, and authentic Mexican food in a lovely atmosphere with plenty of wall art. Had the enchiladas with pollo asada, the guacamole, and the flan. All were really really flavorful. Also ordered two different types of lemonade (don’t skip the lemonade!) and some mezcal drinks. It’s a bit of a walk from the center of town but absolutely worth it. The staff here is lovely also!

Paired with a Carajillo, the meal struck a perfect balance between comfort and indulgence. The atmosphere elevated the experience further. A wall of curated books for sale gave the space a thoughtful, artistic vibe—like dining inside a creative retreat. The music was on point, setting a relaxed yet upbeat tone throughout the meal. Service was excellent and prompt, with our server attentive without being intrusive; exactly what you hope for in a casual fine dining setting. Highly recommended for those looking to enjoy authentic Mexica cuisine in a space that feels both personal and inspired.

Wonderful & delicious restaurant in Mérida! The aguas frescas were refreshing & we appreciated the unique flavors they offered. The seafood tasted very fresh, we ordered the Pacifico which was a tasty guacamole and side of marinated shrimp, the aguachile was phenomenal. I tried the vegan chile enogada, it was also tasty. It’s a uniquely Mexican dish, I was recommended to try these chiles specifically in Mèrida. The outdoor patio is beautifully shaded & they provide bug spray for your comfort. No AC & mosquitos but that’s not a complaint, it just is what it is, sometimes you’ve just got to embrace the natural atmosphere of a place! Highly recommend for their fresh seafood, tasty food & enjoyable patio.

Delicious food! Probably the best we had in Merida. Both moles were amazing. And the garden is very peaceful. Tons of options for vegans, vegetarians and carnivores It's just great all around.

If you have not eaten their Chile en Nogada then you are missing out. This is the most flavorful that I’ve had in Mexico. I’ve tasted many, many in Puebla, CDMX Merida and elsewhere in Mexico and in pricey restaurants and this is by far the best.

We went there twice during our week-long stay in Merida. We like it a lot. Quite, well taken care of, place. The service was great! We have 0 Spanish knowledge 🥲 yet we didn’t feel lost or left out. The food was great and the price is reasonable (the average of that area). Would recommend!

Best food I’ve had in Merida. Run. Don’t walk to try their cochinillo pibil. We had asked locals where they eat and this spot was recommended. I’d make a whole trip to Merida just for this. Also. Fresh squeezed oj and great service. But between the hot sauce, proper tortillas and succulent pig, life is worth living all over again. Updating my review because we kept coming back to eat here. It was THAT DELICIOUS. Oh and they have their own PARKING

Saturday early Lunch. 4 top. Order: Pitcher of Agua de Chaya and Lima. EXCELLENT Ponchos de Cochinta- dry meat, needed flavor Cochinta Pibil. Good but was expecting more after watching Taco Chronicles on Netflix. Sopa the Lima- not what I was expecting. Mid at best. Service. SLOW. My Cochinta plate came out like 30min after everyone got their's. Pretty much everyone was done when I got my food. What's actually hard to get the waiter's attention. Nowhere to be seen. Unfortunately, I cannot say I will be back. Dark interior. Outside beautiful.

Wow wow wow. The cochinita pibil was outstanding, I want to go back for more already. Wonderful. It's unfair for us to rate the atmosphere because as we were the only ones in there. It was 4pm in 41 degrees. We just wish they were open for dinner.

V nice place in downtown merida... the cochinita pibil was yummy (better the next day honestly!) The ambience is lovely outside (indoors is dark)... my favorite was the delicious chaya limon - this local lemonade drink special to the yucatan. Must try!

Make sure to book a reservation in advance; otherwise, the wait might be long. Pet-friendly. It's a quintessential brunch spot. For our main dishes, we had the Marmalade breakfast, bacon eggs Benedict, and a side of pancakes. Everything was cooked to perfection. The eggs and bacon were prepared just as we requested, and the pancakes were soft and fluffy. The marmalade served with the toast was fantastic! Overall, it was a great experience.

We have been back three times during our holiday and are never disappointed. Great staff! Loved the chilaquiles, the fruit bowls, omelettes and for dinner the burger. Only suggestion was the wine wasn’t great but otherwise everything was fantastic. Also a great chai latte with breakfast.

Nice spot for a breakfast.. a few areas that need improvement. First with the good: latte was delicious, inside was quaint and comfortable with great AC in the hot weather. And they gave us complimentary water which we have never seen dining in Mexico in the last 8 months. For the negatives: the service was poor. All the servers were wearing masks (it’s not Covid anymore) and because of the mask you can barely hear the server. Also she was not very friendly or welcoming. Second, the iPads are annoying. It feels like you are ordering from a fast food restaurant. Let’s bring back old school and servers writing down orders and making conversation with the patrons. It felt so robotic ordering here. Nothing special at all. We are in historic downtown Merida. Let’s keep things authentic please. Third.. one of our dishes came at least 8 mins after the other so we had to wait for it and when I finally got my pancakes they were cold. But again the server didn’t come back to check on us so I couldn’t even give feedback. Overall service needs major improvement. Get rid of the masks, get the servers to be more friendly and genuine. The food was tasty but the service put a sour note on our morning. Overall still not satisfied.

This was an awesome experience. A true home-cooked meal with dialed in seasoning and a causal outdoor patio environment. The menu changes daily and is explained to you as you sit down (in English or in Spanish). We got the quesabirria and duo of moles. They had a delicious coconut hibiscus mezcal cocktail special. The food was outstanding and of the folks working there are so knowledgeable and friendly. Jessica was awesome and gave us a great experience. Some of the best food we have eaten in Merida.

Heard great things about this restaurant. But unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. Food was underwhelming. Actually our worst dinner during our 4 night stay in Merida. The potatoes with cheese were not good and I kept looking for the cheese, which I never found. The food quality/size per price ratio is not good. The Mezcal was good, but again overpriced for what you got. Sorry, you can do better.

I’m not a vegetarian, but even with that I did enjoy the food here. We tried everything on menu, which wasn’t a lot, then ordered seconds. Seating is outside and we were there just in time for a thunder storm. They set us up a table in the breezeway between the seating area and the street, which made for a nice experience.. a cooling mist from the rain falling all around!

Fantastic vegetarian options. The squash quesadillas and aubergine tacos were delicious, and lovely to sit outside in the courtyard in the shade. Also really enjoyed my Pina Coco Agua Fresca.

It was such a great experience to eat in Ramiro Cocina!! The daily menu was literally perfect, we were impressed by how delicious everything was! The interior is pretty nice too, and so was the service. We loved it!

We just happened to be walking by and thought there was a good vibe and the restaurant was small but decorated amazingly. Looked the place up and saw the food at least looked good so we decided to come back later and are so happy that we did. Very accommodating service with our baby, it started raining and they hopped into action and rushed us inside and made room in the tiny dining / bar area. Food is only written on the board and each dish was explained to us in English which is not necessary but very helpful for us. After the first couple dishes we started thinking this may be our new favorite place in Merida. The only place they fell short in MY opinion was the cocktails, a little too sweet and there was no set menus just options of liquor, juices, and fruits. The food and service made up for a lacking in cocktails so we left more than happy. We also really liked that they showed us a recipe book from their family and seemed to really care about each dish being prepared and served. 9/10 5 stars

We really enjoyed our lunch here. The tacos were delicious and we tried 4 different ones - the cochinita pibil, chicken with green chorizo, tinga de res, and pork in tomato sauce. We liked them all and the provided salsas. Israel, the waiter, was so kind and nice to speak with. He showed us a few plants in the garden.

We absolutely loved these tacos! We tried 6 and a torta and they were all delicious. My favourite was the Carne con Chorizo and the Carne Adobada

First timer here. I looked up "creme brulee" and this place popped up. Delicious, great atmosphere, and the server was very nice and helpful. I definitely recommend this place. Feels like a peaceful french gem in the middle of a busy city. Loved it.

The food was good, not spectacular, but good. We chose brunch options from the menu for our meal. Their display cases had some really beautiful looking pastries, although I didn't try them, I was full from brunch. But if I require fancy pastry again I will certainly go back to this place to try them out!! Most of the staff were very pleasant and friendly, but it needs to be said that the main waiter we had came with a high degree of attitude and it made me feel uncomfortable. We dined indoors to enjoy the air conditioning, but they also have a lovely terrace for less "intense" Merida days!

Cool place with really nice pastries. Amazing bread and cute vibe. Staff is really nice and the best thing is that they have a really fast service. My sister tried to use the wifi for work stuff but it was too slow so don’t come for work and just for brunch or coffee.

We actually love this place, food was delicious, the place is really nice looking, fast service i would like the waiter to check on tables to make sure everything is how supposed to be (my order was incomplete, it was still pretty good though) also just a personal opinion: it doesn't look good for them to be washing dishes in front of customers, restaurant is to nice to do that right there. This place is very cute, whether you sit indoors or outdoors, the service was okay but not the friendliest. I appreciate the various breakfast options they have and the concept of it. However, the execution is lacking a bit in terms of flavour and quality. Some sandwiches had almost no filling. The chilaquiles were disappointing, no flavour imo. One of us reported stale coffee, and as others mentioned, the charge you extra for milk in your Americano. The croissant was okay, not the best but very decent. One thing we loved was the fact that they serve water first thing! French toast was a bit dry. Overall, the price was a bit expensive for what you get in terms of food, but it looks cute (instagrammable). Would I go back? Probably not, but it’s not terrible either.

Cute cafe type place. Service was pleasant, food came quickly and tasted delicious, price was affordable. My husband was thrilled with the layered flavors of his birria sandwich which even came with caldo for dipping or sipping. My fruit plate was light and refreshing as was my tonique (mint tea type drink). Also worth mentioning is that they have a special and serve breakfast until 4:30 everyday. Cocktails and coffee available too. ***update 29/09 We have been back a few times and have been delighted each time by the quality of food, the attention of staff and the consistency.

Phenomenal experience! The food was authentic and delicious, with a unique blend of Mexican, American, and French influence. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. We also were fortunate enough to meet one of the owners/chefs (Regina) who was so helpful with some recommendations for us for the rest of our trip.

The food was of very high quality and prepared well. I had the quesdilla and my partner egg, salad, bacon and hasbrowns, that came with extra toast that was lovely and unexpected. As a Canadian who barely eats bacon, having a crispy bacon option was first time I've eaten it in a month. Server was so kind, friendly and attentive. We will be back.

Merci is an absolute delight! This charming eatery boasts the sweetest staff, and the owners are incredibly personable. EXCELLENT!! We have come back 3 days in a row because Merci is SO spot on with flavours and service! For brunch their bread basket is a MUST, you’ll be blown away by the QUALITY and freshness of their baked goods! The croissants are probably one of the best we’ve had. We tried their shrimp Mac and Cheese with truffle oil, it was SO flavourful and rich. Then another day we tried quiche and salmon poached eggs, both were again spot on. Their hash browns were SUPER crunchy, I’d personally like them to be softer on the inside. Overall very very impressed by this place! Coming back to this review because it’s been 4 years and we still think about this place!! 🥲 If only it wasn’t thousands of miles away

An interesting place with good dishes, I tried the horchata latte for the first time here, although I found it too sweet and not too caffeinated, I thought it was interesting. The portions are a bit small for the price but they had a nice spread. Cute place, ok service.

Pancho Maiz is definitely one of my top three restaurants in Merida. They keep it authentic, the flavors make me happy, and the rustic ambiance provides a local feel. This place is a must & you can’t go wrong with any dish … go during breakfast & circle back for lunch!

My husband and I ate here at a whim. What a wonderful surprise! We absolutely loved everything about it. The staff was amazingly friendly and patient with our poor Spanish speaking. We tried four appetizers and every one of them left us wanting more, not because of the quantity, but because of the quality. We plan to visit them tomorrow for their breakfast! We highly suggest this place.

This place has been on my list for years, and I'm not sure why it took us so long to visit, but I'm glad we finally did! We walked from our house, arriving around 8:30 am, and the restaurant was about half full. We got a table right under a nice fan, which was perfect. The service was prompt—we were seated and given menus right away. We both ordered cold brew coffees, and for our meals, my wife chose the huevos rancheros while I went with a pork sandwich. Both dishes were excellent, but I have to say, my sandwich was out of this world! It bacon, ham, and an egg stuffed between sourdough bread with baked cheese on top. Probably a million calories, so I’m glad I was able to walk part of it off on the 40 minute walk home. The portions were generous (my wife couldn’t even finish hers), and nicely presented. The cold brew coffee was also excellent, and the service was professional and friendly, with English spoken if necessary. Considering the quality of the food, the prices were quite reasonable, totaling $490 before tip. Credit cards are accepted. Rating: 5/5 stars

This is the best brunch place in town! It's high end food and service for a good price. A wonderful value. Their chilaquiles were beautiful and their take on papadzules was genius. We have to come back for their large pastries, which all look divine. This is definitely our go to brunch place. Five+ stars!

If you can avoid this place do it, they advertise free parking not parking at all, you need to park on the street at your own risk. They advertise luxury boutique not true, we tried to go to the upper terrace the bar was in terrible conditions. Excellent staff good breakfast,good location.

Thank you for a lovely stay at Rosas y Xocolate. Our room was right next to the pool which felt like a real treat, as we could enjoy the peaceful atmosphere just off the bustle of the Main Street. Even though there were 3 of us in the room it felt like there was plenty of space, with a separate bedroom and lounge. The staff were friendly and attentive, and patient with me trying to practise my Spanish. We really enjoyed the complementary breakfast, including a hot drink, juice, pastry, and an option from the extensive menu. I would particularly recommend the smoked salmon bagel. The location was perfect, about a 20 minute walk to the main square but lots to see closer too. This was a perfect start to our trip across the peninsula and would recommend Rosas to anyone considering a trip to Merida.

This is a really charming hotel in a renovated mansion on a beautiful avenue. I stayed in the master suite - it was bright and airy, had massively high ceilings, was comfortable and spotless. (I did get an upgrade and for those of you with Bonvoy status, the staff did a great job of recognizing and valuing me throughout my weeklong stay. They were helpful, courteous and attentive) Crisiant, the Sales Manager, was particularly helpful. He contacted me promptly after my booking to assist with spa appointments and suggesting and arranging excursions. His assistance was valuable in planning my visit, as I had done little to no research before booking. The hotel's location is convenient for exploring the city. Paseo de Montejo is beautiful, offered a good base for walking to many city attractions and experiencing the local area. There are so many really good restaurants and shops in easy walking distance. It's a really great choice for a more than comfortable stay in Mérida.

I came for the food and dispute all of the less than 5 star reviews, I still went. I have to say the food was fantastic!! I got the Eggs Benedict and the chef did not disappoint!!! From the perfect hollandaise and poached egg to the mimosa...Fantastic!! The service was also top shelf. I was afraid to try the coffee because of all the bad reviewers who complained about the coffee, food and service but I'll definitely try it the next time I go back. If the coffee is the only thing that some people gave bad reviews, I'll skip it!

We always stop by here to get their pear salad. The other food was very good as well.

I've always had a rather ambivalent regard for the Pet Shop Boys. Whilst their tunes are undeniably catchy their lyrics often humorous and clever they are equally often let down by a rather laboured rhyme or a clichéd phrase. However, I've often found myself quoting the line from the song Left to My Own Devices that states "...learn to ignore what the photographer saw" and that's what you need to do at Rosas and Xocolate. Rarely has a website been so misleading. See photos. There certainly aren't any Roses and no Chocolate either 😕 😄 But let's start with the positives. The hotel staff are accommodating and polite (special mention for the breakfast server Sophie) with a comprehensive breakfast menu of decent quality and the location is very good. That's it. Now the reasons I wouldn't return. In general the hotel is unloved and poorly maintained. On arrival, the lobby had a large broken glass candle holder, the corridor had dirty glasses on the floor that remained untouched for over 24 hours and our room (the Master Suite) was tired and inadequately maintained. On arrival, the power shorted, the toilet leaked (this was fixed) the coffee maker didn't work (this too was fixed - but by turning off the refrigerator) and the bed linen faded and poor quality. The breakfast courtyard was dirty and unswept and the windows generally needed a good clean. The overall feel was one of decline and neglect which is unforgiveable in any establishment but given the prices being charged it almost amounts to theft. Read my other reviews; you'll see I'm not given to unnecessary criticism nor over reaction to a single incident of  bad service. There's another lyric from the Pet Shop Boys song Shopping that goes "...our gain is your loss, that's the price you pay". This might just sum up the Rosas and Xocolate experience. P.S. I'm honestly not a big Pet Shop Boys fan.

We found this spot on the second to the last day on our vacation in Merida. It was definitely a highlight. This was a low key mellow restaurant that started our day with the vibes for relaxation and a slower pace to enjoy the day. The service was fantastic and our server was patient and made wonderful recommendations. The coffee, latte and banana bread were incredible and I had to scrape the plate for the very last bit. I had the croque de barrio and my boyfriend had the huevos gemelos and they were fantastic! If you are in Merida near Paseo Montejo you must check this out!

I would give it 10 stars. The quality of food is outstanding. If you are looking for something tasty and healthy, try this place. The avocado toast is superb. The fruit bowl with yogurt and granola are one of the best I’ve ever had. Prices are very reasonable for portions and quality. Only 4 stars to atmosphere because it gets hot without a/c. But the cooffee and great food makes up for it. Our favorite breakfast spot in Merida.

Nice little cafe. Service was really good, didn’t speak much English but got their message across well enough. Food was yummy.

Had breakfast here with my family. The staff was friendly but not very attentive. My husband ordered the chilaquiles but it seemed more like a burrito/nacho bowl. I ordered an omelette— the omelette really needed salt but the vinaigrette on the greens was good and the potatoes had great flavor. We also ordered a yogurt bowl which was probably the best thing I tasted— delicious. My daughters had the french toast which was also really good although the bread is cut super thick so the middle felt a bit mushy as if it had custard but tasted great. Oh! and they make an excellent latte.

This was a most excellent and pleasant surprise (initially we tried to go to Marmalade, but there was an hour plus wait). Food - Amazing. Best food I've had in Merida, bar none. It's prepared with love and presented with pride. The flavor combinations are spot on. Staff - friendly, inviting, and accommodating. Ambience - the spot is awesome. It's cute with a neighborhood vibe that's warm. Be forewarned, there is no AC and at the time we went the patron restrooms were non-operational. The vibes are on point, the people are lovely, and the food is immaculate.

Since we landed in Mérida we wanted to check this place out. It was 10 minutes from our Air BnB and went on our last day. The inside is some great art and the seating is awesome. I recommend trying to sit by one of the murals. The coffee is delicious and I recommend the chilaquiles con huevo, enchiladas suizas, or the huevos rancheros! Can’t wait to get back!

The place is a most go for cochinita pibil, locally know place and food. Tortillas are freshly made there on the spot. Salsas are also made to your liking 3 different choices. The service was somewhat slow, and the waiter was not attentive. we asked a couple of times for refills and some extra stuff, but it took longer than normal, I would say. The food was delicious for the price, I would recommend it.

All of the staff were kind and professional. They have menus in Spanish and English. My server, Arturo, spoke English. Which was helpful since I’m still working on my Spanish. He recommended the.Uaymitun seafood taco. I order two other tacos as well. The other tacos were good, but the.Uaymitun seafood taco was the best! Arturo was right. Delicious! The hand made tortillas and salsa was a treat. Also, get the Margarita Clasico. It was one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had.

Authentic Yucatán food experience! Highly recommend! Arturo is the manager/server I was lucky to have both times! He speaks English and helped to make great food suggestions! Until next time!

Really enjoyed the panuchos and the churros with dip. Staff was prompt and the free salsa made by hand really completed the meal.

We had the panuchos and the flavors were very exciting. We definitely would order them again. Our waiter Jose Artur was very courteous and attentive. It was a very nice dining experience, with handmade fresh tortillas and custom made sauce to our selection.

If you’re in the mood for a quick breakfast and coffee fix, this place is your go-to spot. They have refillable coffee, and the food is decent, nothing fancy. The service is usually pretty quick and friendly too. You’ll notice they have old loyal customers who know the staff and enjoy hanging out there.

A nice local diner with choices of coffee, juice and a bunch of brunch dishes. It’s also open during night. Atmosphere is quiet and waiters are very patient to help non-Spanish speakers with translator. Tried Huevos motuleños and Chicken in Salsa Sauce. Complimentary French bread and white toast smells really good. They are great match with salsa. The salsa is only a little spicy. Love both! The fresh melon juice is very refreshing.

This is very nice place for breakfast and or lunch. I had breakfast of scrambled eggs with bacon. It came with toast and fruit cup. Spouse had chicken fajitas. All was very good. Service is good. Place is clean. Mostly local when I visited and mostly Spanish spoken. Highly recommended.

The name is wrong on these pics. It's actually Cafetería Pop, which is right next door and owned by the same people. This is the first restaurant I remember eating at in Mérida back in 1992 when I was a little kid! These days my kids and I go about once a week, and it's their absolute favorite. My 7 year old lives for their sopa de lima. The servers are the absolute best I've ever encountered, and the food is fabulous. They have standard diner fare, Mexican specialties, and a cool 1970's decor.

This place has a very friendly staff, great food, and excellent prices. For being so close to downtown it’s very inexpensive.

I love ordering club sandwiches in Mexico. You never know what you're going to get! This one was chicken salad on one side, ham cheese lettuce and tomato on the other. Toast was crispy. Nice coleslaw and a few fries. Nothing fancy, but tastes good and inexpensive.

The location and atmosphere is great. The service is poor. The waiters have a little idea of their labor. I believe that they just know serve plates and beverages. They do not offer supplemental dishes, don’t explain the menu, no suggestions at all! They serve “tortillas” in a single plate without napkins or cover at all. They hang around with other staff until you call their attention. The food presentation is good and plenty, but, no flavor at all! The price is fair!

It clearly states, Cafeteria Impala was established in 1958 and there’s good reason why it’s still a very popular restaurant in Merida. Don’t let the kitschy retro design discourage you from enjoying the excellent service and great food. Our waiter, Raymundo was terrific. He offered great suggestions and recommendations and was very attentive. We ordered natural fruit drinks, mango and watermelon and they were able to prepare without sugar and use mineral water. Their basket of fries were also plentiful and delicious. Order their tiramisu - it’s the best. Great restaurant, great food, great service and great value. Highly recommended.

Had a great time at the restaurant Impala. Had their Burger with Angus beef and chicken tenders. Food was clean and freshly made. Would highly recommend getting the natural mango juice. Our waiter Alexander offered great service and attention. Would recommend!.

I ordered a very nice hamburger, with fries. It was great, but even better, to my great surprise, was my margarita. One of the best I’ve tasted here in Merida; a perfect blend of sweet and tart, and not at all water down, as many are. Start with one of those, and everything else will fall in place just fine. So kudos to the bartender.And my waiter, Gilberto. Was also excellent.

I came in for a late lunch/early dinner. They were out of some items such as turkey and a chicken plate, but that was due to a very busy few days. I ordered the Cheeseburger Montejo with fries. To drink I had their green juice and a coca-lite. They have a lot of variety on the menu but the burger caught my eyes. The food was great, the service excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing and enjoyable.

We ordered the platillo with champiñones and did not have any mushrooms (Just a small pita-like bread with way too much ham). The food looked like we ordered it at a gas-station, and was quite expensive as well. Would not recommend it at all, only positive side about this place is the air conditioning.

Cafeteria Impala is perfect. Great attention and awesome food, just ate some huevos rancheros and it was delicious. Also, Hernan was always checking that everything went well. 100% recommended.

Second visit it is really good and for sure a nice place to bring friends who visit YUCATÁN the dishes are the traditional ones. Great place If you are in Merida one of the places to visit they have a great variety of traditional dishes. Here are some pictures of different ones we asked for a different dish and all of them were good. The best one I would say is “huevos motuleños” really good.

Delicious little place with excellent breakfast from the region. I highly recommend the huevos motuleños the quesadillas de chaya and the fried plantain with fresh cheese. Freshly made chaya water is also a must.

We arrived first thing in the morning for breakfast. This was a charming place for my family of 6. They had a baby chair, the women's restroom had a baby changing table and my toddler could walk inside happily. The frozen smoothies were excellent and refreshing. We ordered the pineapple ( water smoothie) and mango yogurt and milk smoothies. The food was excellent and the pancakes even had a maple syrup option. The coffee choices were great as well.

The breakfast plates were so delicious we made it a point to visit twice for our 4 day vacation. We would’ve made it three days but they were closed on Sunday! The ambiance is relaxing and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive! I took a second Cappuccino Caramelo Frío to go! 10/10 recommend!!!

An outstanding restaurant…everything I’ve tried from breakfast, lunch and dinner items has been delicious. Plus, the service is fantastic. They really stand out in Merida because they have been consistent in food quality and service every time I have gone there. And trust me…finding consistent food quality and great service together is like finding a unicorn in the Yucatan. I highly recommend this spot.

The breakfast experience here was fantastic sitting under one of the red umbrellas! I ordered the omelette with mushroom and cheese. I avoided the refried beans though because they make it with lard. I got some potatoes instead. And these potatoes were seasoned perfectly with herbs! The waiter was very helpful to help navigate the menu to avoid pork ingredients and provide access to wifi. Highly recommend this spot.

This is such a cozy spot! The inside is super comfy, with great WiFi and AC, perfect for getting some work done. I brought my laptop and felt right at home. The food was really good and made with all organic, natural ingredients, which I loved. Their coffee options are super unique, and they even have non-coffee drinks if that’s more your thing. The pastries were fresh and tasty, and the staff was super friendly. Definitely a new favorite spot!

This is one of the most westernised cafes you’ll find in Mérida. However the space is beautiful and the food is really good! Everyone working there is super helpful. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a nice breakfast with toasts and oats! Nice selection of pastries too

Every time we’re in Mérida, we find ourselves at Pan y Coffee at least twice a week. Their pastries are unbeatable. The croissants are perfectly flaky, and the Pastéis de Belém (a larger version of the Portuguese classic Pastéis de Nata) is an absolute must try, truly to die for! Breakfast is just as good, from flavorful chilaquiles to a delicious American-style breakfast with bacon and sausage. Great coffee, friendly staff, and a cool, relaxed atmosphere make this place a standout. It belongs at the top of your list in Mérida for coffee, pastries, and brunch.

Not only is this cafe beautiful and intimate, but the food and coffee are out-of-this-world good. I’ve already gone multiple times on my trip to Mérida, and nothing has disappointed or fallen short. The staff is also very friendly and willing to assist. A must-visit while here!

Pan & Koffee is the coolest atmosphere with incredible food and the friendliest staff! I came in for the morning and after to do some remote work and get some food and cold drinks. The fresh squeezed guava juice was lovely on such a hot day. The breakfast sandwich had great flavors and was the perfect fuel I needed for my afternoon. And as someone who just wants to have a cool experience at places I visit, this checked all the boxes! The interior design creates the most beautiful, earthy atmosphere, the music is so fun to listen to while you work, and the space is HUGE, allowing you to experience the space from different perspectives. I highly recommend Pan & Koffee!

Staying a week in Merida visiting a friend for work and vacation. With my first time in Merida, Pan and Koffee Cafe has been a daily morning stop for breakfast and lunch. The breakfast pastries are amazing and always a good start to the day. Coffee has been perfect. For lunch the food, all the items I ordered had a great freshness to them. Service has been fast and timely. Would recommend anyone traveling to Merida to stop by and visit for multiple meals! I can't wait to come back to visit.

Went to get some to go coffee and breakfast before going towards Uxmal. The service was brilliant and the little cafe had a great atmosphere - if we had had time, I would for sure had come back !! We got to coffees, a concha and a pan de muertos, which apparently only is made during the time of dia de los muertos.

Very nice spot for breakfast in Merida. Brilliant pastries, especially their French toast topped with fruit and cream. Maybe a bit pricey compared to other places in town, but definitely worth it.

Absolutely fabulous food!! Top notch bakery! And the service is second to none. Despite being crowded, they quickly turned tables to get guests seated. This is one of our favorite breakfast and lunch locations in Merida. No matter where we stay in the city, we will do the walk to eat here at least once while visiting. We ate breakfast every morning at Soco while staying in Merida. We absolutely love the quality of the food, the service, the ambiance. We ordered cappuccino, pastry, breakfast, and bottled water for a great price.

Great place to start your day with well curated dishes and coffee. Check out their pastries as well. Angel was a great accommodation to service be provided. Try their pork belly please. It’s a very delicious well seasoned pork belly. I love Al pastor and chorizo. The pork belly seemed like a hybrid taste bud cross taste wise. Highly recommend! Thanks Angel. He enhanced the experience! Love this town!

This is the best coffee shop. Not only do they make phenomenal coffee drinks, but their food and service are incredible. They have an extensive menu with a dozen ways you can have your coffee made (pour over, French press, etc.). The atmosphere and location add even more prestige to the place. It's definitely the best coffee shop I've been too.

Great coffee, reasonable prices. While mostly any coffee here is too light in taste (as everyone uses too much water), for me as a European there’s always something missing. The coffee they served was great in taste and enough for my needs. The staff there is nice and helpful as well.

Such a great place for breakfast! The dishes are original, but with a classic touch. Service is great and variety of coffee and soft drinks is very good. The chocolate pancakes are THE BEST we've ever had. We also ordered Marago mix, elefante sandwich, hummus and chilaquiles. Everything was great. It's a must to visit while in Merida if you want to have a great breakfast.

Delicious food made with fresh ingredients. Whether you’re a local or an American you will find something to either eat or drink. Tried several different types of coffee & they were excellent! Beats Starbucks any day of the week! Truly enjoyed the cappuccino & have tried almost everything on the menu & they were all delicious. Tried the green juice for the first time and loved it! You can pay with card or cash. Comfortable, relaxed environment with air conditioning & free- WiFi. Great food & great service. Some of the wait staff speak English so that was a plus as a foreigner.

This is definitely the best breakfast in Mérida. We ordered the Cucu French Toast, the Carajillo French Toast, the Cucu Omelette, and the Turkish Eggs, and every single dish left us wanting more. The drinks were great too- the Agua de Jamaica was delicious unlike any other. I will return to Cucu any time I am in Mérida.

Oh my goodness! I’ve been in Mérida for a week and walked past this place almost every day. I’m a chai fanatic and always on the search for the best. Well, I found someone online raving about this place. When I looked it up and saw the photos, I realized it was the place I kept walking by. Today, I stopped in. Let me tell you!! It’s incredible. The chai was phenomenal, too. And, my waitress was so kind. She wrote a list of her favorite spots. I’ll definitely be back. Tomorrow. lol

This place is great! Unfortunately we tried it our last day in Merida otherwise we would have eaten here everyday for breakfast. We ordered chilaquiles, French toast and waffles, it was all delicious! The service is also great. Highly recommend this spot for breakfast. It looks small from the outside but it’s very spacious

This is my second time staying at this hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are very customer focused, and provided amazing service. The new pool is really well designed and I very much appreciated there was an adults only pool that would provide a more peaceful environment. Highlight at the end was the staff was quick to check our room to see if we forgot anything when checking out, and I did manage to leave my charger. Those little things make a huge difference to your vacation.

Had the best time staying here. Hotel staff was wonderful and we really enjoyed the place. We only had 2 small issues 1. the advertise 3 pools, in reality only the big new pool can be used to swim as the other two are a bit unkept and lots of debris, dead bugs etc floating around but quite nice if you want to be by the pool but not in the pool. 2. the second thing is the fact that we didn’t know construction was going on. They’re building lots of apartments in the property (90+) right by the main pool, which kinda was a bummer, really takes away from the boutique hotel experience we wanted, nevertheless the real issue is the noise! Obviously construction work is loud so when only one pool is nice and clean to swim in, and the environment is loud, well, it wasn’t ideal. The room was lovely, the staff amazing and caring. Location for us was perfect as we wanted something between beach and city so it was ideal, but you’ll either need a car or Uber a lot. Definitely loved our stay. Sad to know it won’t be a boutique hotel anymore tho.

I really enjoyed my stay at Hacienda Xcanatun. It is lovely and lush with greenery. The room was comfortable and large with an outdoor patio. Breakfast and dinner were all very tasty and room service was the same quality. The gym on site is great with a sizable amount of equipment and in a beautiful setting. The pool is also lovely although it is currently surrounded by local outside of the hotel unfortunately. There are a ton of rooms and there is not much like it in the area if you need a larger number of spots together for a group like we did. The downside is the area surrounding it does not have anything and it is a good 20 min ride into Merida to get to other restaurants etc. If you are looking for a place for a group or a spot for some R&R, it's great.

First time staying here. Two adults and a 15mo toddler. We had a wonderful stay! The property is ~25 mins away from the Airport, Downtown Mérida, and Progresso beach - so plan to Uber, drive, or have transportation. We drove and it was easy and free parking. If you’re walking impaired make sure and state so when reserving - there are a lot of steps in certain areas. Service - 10/10 Could not be better. Everyone amazing to our family from the moment we arrived till we drove away. It was an absolute pleasure & they did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Even left surprise birthday cake for me ❤️ Hotel - 9.7/10 Amazing property. Felt like being in a jungle. We had a suite and it was quite large. Some construction at back of property but it was minimal. Had daily activities. Pool was great. Loved it! Restaurant- 6/10 😔 hurts me to say but we did not have best food experience at the restaurant. Staff was amazing and attentive, no issues at all with them. But food quality and taste was just not what I come to expect from Mexico. Wasn’t bad, just wasn’t necessarily great. We ate there three times and each had an element that was a bit below average (pork belly too much fat, octopus tostada not very good). The good is that the vegetables, bread, tortillas, butter and jams were some of the best we’ve ever had!! Plus they had a vegetarian menu for my wife which was very helpful Overall we’d absolutely return here and had an excellent stay. I think if they could just get the restaurant food a bit better, it’d make this place even better! Thank you to the staff for hosting us and taking such good care of us 🙏🏾🙏🏾

This was an amazing time! This was a friend getaway and birthday. The massage was so relaxing and the pool was to die for! Everyone was so accommodating and welcoming. Service was sensational! We can’t wait to tell everyone that we know to come here!

This resort should be removed from the luxury list. This is not a luxury resort. This is not even a resort. It is a mediocre hotel. The food was it fresh. The fruit was at least a day or two old when we got it. Customer service was horrific. We waited 60 minutes for eggs and French toast. We finally got up and left, and they still made us pay for it. We had one stand for a two person room when we asked the front desk about why we couldn’t get another stand on the other side. They said that that was how the room came . So we used our suitcase as our other nightstand see in photos . The light in the closet kept falling off. I actually asked him to fix it several times, that never happened. I was trying to fix it myself because we could not close the sliding closet door with the broken lights that kept falling . The coffee area the tray kept falling off. It was broken. There is NO smart TV, false advertisement! This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The outside property itself was nice. The chef for the restaurant should be fired, and the staff should be trained not to say yes when they don’t understand.

Truly beautiful Hacienda set amidst gorgeous and peaceful gardens. The rooms are very spacious and tasteful, the restaurant is fantastic and there is a palpable sense of historic grandeur and respect for the past. Highly recommended!

A special place in the heart of Mérida. Very good coffee if you're on a quest and a wide choice for everyone. We also found good bakery stuff. And a nice vibe. Owned by two brothers, they buy the coffee beans directly from Mexican farmers, even small batches. They roast and prepare it with great results. My wife and I came back the day after. Very recommended.

EVERYTHING HERE IS TOO GOOD. I highly recommend you to try out their classical cold brew and the chicken brocheta. Especially the brocheta… only 140+ pesos for this good combination of creamy yet crispy texture, and the sense of fulfillment after the whole plate. And the service, vibe, price is all very good. Where do I start... ordered a french press coffee that tasted like tea was not prepared properly...asked for milk for my coffee that's extra...the cinnamon roll was fantastic after that all the food was terrible...ordered the poached eggs served on a hard biscuit that you needed a knife to cut through it...my girlfriend ordered the egg sandwich with egg whites only came with mushrooms she doesn't like mushrooms...didn't even say sorry or can I redo it...plus were served on the cheapest white bread available...also asked for potatoes instead of salad added extra charge without saying it's extra plus the were covered in paprika and couldn't eat them...servers were not friendly...get your coffee elsewhere!

This lovely spot on Parque Santa Lucía was excellent! Their daily drink special is 2x1 Aperols Spritzes, so a great way to begin a meal. There is an outdoor patio, and also a stylish indoor dining room, which I preferred. I came here with a friend and ate pizzas, and we so enjoyed the food and experience we decided to return for a second night. Pizzas were brilliantly cooked in a wood oven and paired with a bottle of wine made a great meal. We shared a house salad - super fresh with a excellent vinegar-forward dressing. I usually like to try different restaurants when travelling, but in this case wanted to return. The second meal did not disappoint! We shared a Cesár salad and order pastas, all of which were delicious. The wine list offers a great varierty of wines from across the globe. If I lived in Mérida, I would dine here at least once a week!

The service was attentive and timely. Dinner excellent. Five stars for Sebastian, our waiter. Recomendations on point!

What a delight to find such a delightful restaurant in the heart of Merida! Not only was the food authentic and delicious, the staff was professional, and despite such a busy night (after the parade of cantrinas), the wait was barely noticeable. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, I only wish we found it sooner! Needless to say, it will be our go-to for authentic Italian food whenever we are in Merida!

During our stay at Merida we paid a visit to la Tratto Santa Lucia for a casual dinner. The vibes were good and the waiting was 10/10, thanks to Asael. Would recommend everyone when going to Merida!

While in Merida, we have visited this restaurant thrice. Good food, excellent service, attention to detail and yes a little pricey. Their brunch menu is a good deal. Choice of appetizer, a main dish, and a drink- beer or soft drink.

Solid food though all in all I was not impressed by “comida yucateca”. My wife and I tried Relleno negro and Pollo pibil, the latter being much better. But certainly the best was delicious soup Sopa de lima which we both adored. Huge portion. Excellent service. Nice atmosphere, not super clean and new restaurant but one feels well and relaxed there. Very decent prices.

Not the best but definitely not bad. We went twice in a week because we felt it tasted good and was well priced given the location and area. The sopa the lima is good but we definitely had better. Same with panuchos and salbutes. Cochinita pibil was pretty tasty but could be smokier. Flan was only ok. Too bad because it looked very good. Suggestion: save your stomach and go get yourself marquesitas or ice cream outside instead. Special mention to the nacho and guacomole. Great serving size and creamy guacamole. We really enjoyed it. Special shout out to the freshly pressed fruit drinks. They were pretty good too. Beers are actually fairly priced. The service was great. Took orders rapidly and came back often to check on us. Note about atmosphere: if sitting close to toilets bothers you then avoid the tables closest to toilets.

It's definitely the best breakfast in the 2 weeks we have been here. Frankly, some of the best food period. The salsa and pico are fantastic! My arrachera tacos were cooked perfectly. Even the burger my kids had was great. Would highly recommend.

We were staying in Merida (visiting from New Zealand) and wanted to find cheap and cheerful local food. This is the place to find it! Great food for good prices… this became our main place to eat. And the rojo ojo (chilli beer) was great. Try it!

This place used to be outstanding and I honestly feel they’re going downhill, the only thing that’s still really good is the castacán with cheese torta, this is a personal opinion of course but to me all of the other options are just not up to the standards they used to have. My girlfriend ordered papa con chorizo tacos and they were cold and looked like a paste, also the service was not that good, only one young lady was kind, the rest didn’t seem to be willing to be there. I hope they go back to what they used to be.

The best tacos in the city. If you want the tastiest taco, get the tacos Castakan for $22 pesos each! So yummy, you will not regret it and you will end up here every morning if you're not careful. The Yucatecos will tell you Sunday is for Cochinita Pibil but I personally favour the Tacos de Castakan con Queso and make sure you ask for limón.

Recommended by local friend, introduced as a best pork belly sandwich ever - and it was delicious 😃 liver taco, which I did not see before, also amazing. Comfort food, biggest hangover ever will be cured here in my opinion. On the top nice Che lime drink - definitely 5 stars.

Went here for dinner for both days we stayed at the Hyatt. The first day - 7th - the service was so great, I'd have easily given it 4 stars for the service. But the second night on the 8th was a very forgettable experience. 7th - a lady was the host who went above and beyond to take care of us. She got what we requested and helped communicate our orders to the waiters to get everything right. The coriander soup was ok but then that's how I feel about creamy soups. My daughter liked it and that is all that mattered to me. The pizza was all liquidy and I thought I won't like it. But it was simply amazing. Almost one of the best margherita pizzas I've ever had. 8th - the waiter seats us. The host is chatting away in a group by the kitchen and didn't even come greet us. The waiter took the order after struggling to understand us. Inevitably he got one order wrong. I asked for vegetarian sandwich. He got a club sandwich with all the works. I don't blame the guy. He couldn't understand me. The host didn't do his job. Then came the fettuccine Alfredo we ordered. It was supposed to be cheese with basil sauce. There was not even a hint of basil. When we called and asked the host, he got us chopped basil. It was when we explained again that he finally offered pesto sauce. But we were tired already and asked for the order to go. Cooks seem to be talented. The open kitchen helps see how they're doing. But they need to do things faster and correctly.

It’s a nice spot to have lunch at. They’re friendly and prompt with serving food. Not a long time to wait and they bring salsa and chips while you’re waiting. We had fish while there, which was flavorful. Serving size was reasonable. You won’t be stuffed.

We had the best dinner here! We tried a variety of items and all were yummy! Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs but even our picky little boy LOVED the soupa de lima. The staff was very patient with our incredibly limited Spanish. Give it a try!

I am biased toward the restaurants in Mérida because in some way they remind me my mother's yucatan home cooking. This is my 3rd or 4th time here having the world famous Yucatán huevos motuleños with guacamole 🥑 and cafe a tribute meal to my Yucatán parents. Katun is next to hotels so it's a touristy place so expect to pay more. High quality food takes time and patience I was not disappointed with superior service and left a clean plate. They got WiFi enjoy authentic Yucatán cuisine at Katun 😊👍🏾🇲🇽🤗

10/10 - Try this place out. I will return every time I'm in Merida. Best meal I've had in Merida - and I've been in town for two weeks. The flavors were great, the service was great... I only wish I had visited sooner. Be certain to note the operating hours - opens early and closes early. I made a concerted effort to break away from work and enjoy a late lunch of the Wednesday special of Poc Chuc and a Sopa de Lima. The meat of the Poc Chuc was perfect to eat as it's own piece or as an addition to the tortillas that come with the special. The Lima soup was nice and even on a hot day I didn't feel overwhelmed with heat. Hands down the best I've experienced in Merida. Congrats to the wonderful owners and staff for creating a wonderful neighborhood destination for authentic Yucatan dishes. I hope this helps. Very relaxing place to enjoy some of the best food in Yucatán. Probably the best service in Merida also. Don Omar is very good. This is the restaurant of Don Jorge who invented the famous Huevos 🥚 Motulenos. Excellent coffee, omelette with Chaya and chocolate pancakes.

The falafel sandwich was delish. The falafel is well cooked and not dry. The pita bread is soft but not filling. Nice portions. You can sit inside with AC or outside. Nice place.

Had a lovely lunch outside at Siqueff in the garden; plenty of fans, shade and greenery. They also offer seating indoors with air conditioning. We shared the falafel and lamb shwarmas and really could have split one - generous portions with crispy fresh cut fries. Sumptuous flavors! We also had some delightful Paloma’s with fresh grapefruit and a heavy pour of tequila. Service was attentive and friendly.

Unfortunately my meal came more than 10 minutes after his did. I can't say I loved the shrimp tacos. They were just okay. There was a lot of melted cheese and too many purple onions. If I went back I might try some of their Lebanese dishes instead.

The restaurant is located in a peaceful part of Colonia Mexico, surrounded by trees. The building itself is modern and stylish, with a koi pond and fountain at the entrance that sets a relaxing tone. There is an indoor dining area and a pleasant outdoor patio. We weren’t sure about the mosquito situation, so we opted to sit inside. Menus were brought quickly, and our waitress returned right when we were ready to order. The coffee menu includes the usual espresso based options as well as several cold brews and frappes. The breakfast menu is also fairly typical with egg dishes, waffles, and chilaquiles. I ordered a large 16oz Americano espresso, which was probably the best coffee I’ve had in Mérida - very strong and full of flavor. My wife really enjoyed her cold brew as well. For breakfast, I had an omelet stuffed with serrano ham - excellent, though a sharper knife would’ve made it easier to cut. My wife enjoyed her chilaquiles. Service was attentive and friendly Overall, it was a great place for relaxing breakfast. The coffee was out of this world good, and prices were reasonable - our two dishes and two coffees came to $515 MXN before tip. It’s on our list of places to return.

Nice location in a mid-century modern style building. We didn't eat anything here so I can't rate the food. The selection of drinks was good, and we enjoyed the cold drinks we ordered. If we come back we will try sitting in the courtyard instead of inside, unfortunately we found the seating indoors to be very uncomfortable and we didn't want to stay. The service was very good here though.

I took the salad and it was a huge disappointment. Raw peppers, raw cucumber, raw red cabbage, raw kale and no dressing (despite the menu saying it has). This is not only flavourless but it’s also very hard to digest. The menu doesn’t say it’s all raw. Took a juice that was fine and left with a 250 mxn bill (almost $15 usd) feeling hungry. Very expensive for the quality. Maybe other dishes are better but a salad with raw veggies (no flavour), no dressing and not filling at all when it’s titled as a “bowl” is insulting. The staff was amazing. Very courteous and helped me find a great booth where I can charge. Also had a great dining area with A/C. If only the food was good I would come all the time.

I recently visited the Starbucks located in one of the most touristic areas of Mérida, Yucatán, and I was extremely disappointed. Despite its prime location, the place was shockingly dirty and clearly neglected. Tables were sticky, trash was left on the floors, and the restrooms were in terrible condition. For a café in such a prominent spot, you would expect better standards of cleanliness and maintenance. It’s unfortunate that such a well-known brand isn’t keeping up with basic hygiene in a city that welcomes so many visitors. Definitely not a good representation of Mérida’s charm.

I came at 8pm on a Tuesday and the patio was packed, inside was packed! It was my first time here and just wanted to grab a quick bite. It seemed a very social place (friends to come and hang out). The service wasn’t the fastest but they were also very busy. Nice and polite staff. Perfect wrap. No complaints.

Really cool location in a large colonial style house. First Starbucks I've been to with valet parking which made me laugh but it is a busy street. It stays open late which is nice. They have indoor seating upstairs or outdoor seating in a large patio.

Lovely Starbucks Villa overlooking the main street of P de Montejo. They offer both outside settings outside and inside and a drive behind the villa to park your car in a large parking lot. Me coming from Dubai I get to discover new flavors of what Sta Mexico has to offer and I have to say the Coco Avellana Machiato is so good! Definitely recommend that and for a morning or afternoon bite Definitely recommend the Baguette Espanola. Expect some que in the mornings, so if you're in a rush try to head abit earlier.

Our waitress, Erika offered some of their recommended specialties which we appreciated. We went for breakfast and we were very happy with the presentation, quality and taste. We ordered a pitcher of Chaya with pineapple and it was refreshing. We saw a lot of non-locals arriving as well - speaks volumes of the restaurants word-of-mouth reputation. We’re visiting Merida from Los Angeles and were told we had to try LA 70 and we’re glad we did! Highly recommend for the value, service, hospitality and great food.

Don't be fooled by the looks of the entrance...the patio area is nice and comfortable. The service is excellent. They have a wide variety of food and drinks. I ordered lunch from here almost everyday during my visit to Merida - to dine in and to carry out. The prices are reasonable. Wi-Fi is reliable. The only minor recommendation would be for them to offer fresh coffee (they only have the pod coffee made in a machine). All and all, I highly recommend this place.

What a marvelous surprise! We stopped to eat only because it was across the street from the hardware store we were going to. I sm so happy we stopped! Drinks were cold, food was great...i will be returning. The chaya with pineapple is so refreshing! The sopa de verduras could have used a bit of salt, but it was really nice. The pollo pibil was succulent and perfect for lunch.

food took forever and the quality of food was very poor. we ended up taking food to go due to the fact that it took a long time. when we got it, i took one bite of my dish and threw the entire thing out. didn't taste fresh nor was it high quality. think they have a turnover issue. staff was friendly but couldn't make up for speed of food or quality. would not recommend d.

We went for breakfast and it was pretty good. The wide courtyard in the property sandwiched between a house and the restaurant storefront had been turned into terrace seatings with each table underneath a giant parasol. Murals were around as well, making it for a very nice atmosphere to start the day. This would make for a good place to spend the morning while waiting for an ADO bus, whose terminal is just one block away. This was exactly what we did. The food wasn’t as plentiful in volume, given the price, but the quality made up for it.

Decent food and coffee, but the service was lacking. A bit of a wait to take our orders and then again to bring the food/drinks (drinks were given to the wrong persons). Not sure what the "commission" charge was when we paid the bill, most places in Merida includes taxes. Overall we enjoyed the food, but one visit was enough, no need to return.

We came here for breakfast, the food was very tasty and decent portion size. We also had a tropical fresh juice which was delicious and very refreshing. The staff were also friendly and attentive.

I have come back twice for the coconut piña smoothie and a coffee for the hubby- sooo good. Waffle sandwich not so much. Unfortunately the staff is more interested in their phones each time I have been that I will get my smoothie or coffee to go next time. While your waiting check out the the cool art for sale - paintings, books, jewelry, sculptures- all original and well curated. Plus they have a great selection of sunglasses for sale too!

My husband and I came here for coffee in the morning, I decided on a pastry which was really delicious. My husband had as well, I paid and while he was looking at the menu decided he wanted to have one of their full breakfasts. We had not received our pastries or coffee when he asked if he could change his order. He would have had to pay considerably more, which we were fine with, they refused, that was very disappointing. Both pastries were very good, the coffee was okay. The staff were as a whole very lovely and friendly, but we didn't go back the rest of the week. Still confused as to why say no to more money.

Their food is very delicious with great presentation. I have tried their Avocado mushroom onion toast. Which was very extraordinary. I have tried their frappe and smoothie drink. It was very tasty. It's a great source of energy. The only thing, they can improve is the lack of vegan options. This place is very clean and creative. The staff was very helpful to help me access the restaurant WiFi to open the menu and to decide what option to go for. I would highly recommend this place👍🏽

Nice atmosphere and good food, I tried the Chilaquiles verdes (I was just missing some salsa to add some flavor and spice to it) and the matcha latte. Especially the coffee specialties and the pastries looked good.

Very good selection of delicious drinks and foods! We tried the Montaditos and liked them a lot: not too much cheese and the ham was fresh and tasty. The smoothie bowl was perfect aswell as the cake of the day (with pear). Recommended if you are in Mérida!

I visited this place at noon because I was in the mood for a coffee. I ordered a coffee and asked for a glass of water to go with my drink. In every café around the world, it’s common knowledge that coffee should be served with a glass of water, especially in a city as hot as hell as Mérida. The girl at the counter told me that if I wanted water, I had to buy a bottle. I told her it wasn’t about the money, but as a courtesy, they should serve it. I also tried to buy a bag of ground coffee and pay by card, but the machine wasn’t working. I ended up without having my coffee, without drinking water, and without taking any coffee home. I do not recommend this place at all. Not unless they understand that water is a human right and not a commodity.

We have gone to enough cafes and roasteries enough to sense the passion from their products and their staff. This place has terrific staff who loves their coffee. We ordered a frap at 50mxp as we needed something to cool off. Even when it is a frap we can taste the coffee and espresso used to make it and was not overwhelmed by the ice and milk. Wifi is strong, Eloisa took the time to talk to us and prepare the drink to our liking. We happen to be there on a Saturday when they are roasting so the place is filled with coffee aroma.

Very cool cafe. They roast their own coffee beans from Veracruz Mexico. Coffee is excellent. The logo of cafe is picture of late father. Highly recommend.

Been searching for a good coffee for quite some time. This has to be the most aromatic coffee I've had. I think you would genuinely struggle to find anything better than this in Merida let alone Mexico

Beautiful and delicious food and beverages! They were taking care to keep everything well sanitized as well. Be careful if you take an Uber, as it first registered an incorrect address about 10 minutes away. I have learned that entering the address manually is a good idea, rather than selecting by name.

I don't know about meat eaters but for vegans this place is a joke. The portion sizes are SO small. They charge a lot for a smoothie bowl and my 2yr old toddler was still hungry afterwards that's how small the portion size was. Also, the vegan pancakes tasted like they were way too generous with the amount of baking soda that they put it and the customer service isn't that great either. I've been here twice and will not be returning.

Lovely cafe, the staff are so nice and attentive. The food and drinks are great. If you go try the iced cacao latte with coconut milk SO GOOD. Lots of vegan options too

Absolutely incredible. The best breakfast we’ve had in the country thus far. The quality of the coffee and açaí bowls is even better than what we were used to in New York City and Tulum. Thank you so much to the sweet wonderful staff who catered to all of our specific requests. The highly nutritious superfoods (smoothie bowls, toast, juice, etc) set us up for a wonderful day at Chichen Itza. We will definitely be back here whenever we return to Mérida next.

Great, not so little breakfast and brunch spot. Located a block from the beginning of Paseo Montejo. Everything in the ambiance is color mint or rose- just as it's namesake.

If you’re a foodie, and simply want good, humble and flavorful food you’ll be very disappointed with this spot. Staff was very kind and attentive. But this place is clearly about having a cutesy Instagram-worthy-pink-everything-up-to your eyeballs experience than the actual food. Photo of my plate was sad + took about 30-45mins to make and about 6 bites to finish. Not worth it at all. Afterwards, we were left hungry + decided to go to SOCO Merida just a couple of blocks away. 100x better + worth it.

Menta y Rosa is a super cute restaurant with a great central location near Paseo de Montejo. The menu offers a balance of sweet and savory options. Omelettes, waffles, sandwiches, and many other items are available for your pleasure. Get here early! I visited two different time during my last visit and the door never stopped opening with new visitors while we were dining. Make a stop here and try it for yourself!
