Visiting Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru was a really nice experience. The building looks grand with its special South Indian-style design, beautiful stone walls, and big dome. It stands right in the middle of the city and looks very impressive even from outside. The gardens around it are clean and well-kept, and at night, the building lights up beautifully—especially on Sundays and public holidays. It’s a great place to take photos or enjoy a quiet walk. People are usually not allowed to go inside, but the outside view and its history make it worth visiting. If you’re in Bengaluru, do visit this place and spend at least 30 to 60 minutes to enjoy the view and surroundings.

Firstly, sincere thanks to U. T. Khader for giving the general public a valuable opportunity to visit the Vidhana Soudha. It’s a commendable initiative to promote civic awareness and transparency. However, we were quite disappointed with a key aspect of the experience. We had specifically booked a Kannada-language slot, expecting the guide to conduct the tour in Kannada. Unfortunately, the lady guide assigned to us initially did not know Kannada and instead requested us to "adjust." If we were willing to adjust, we would have simply booked the English slot in the first place. This left us wondering—are we really in Karnataka, or somewhere else? It’s disheartening that a Kannada-speaking group cannot expect a Kannada guide in the heart of Karnataka’s government building. Later on, another guide was able to manage both the English and Kannada groups, for which we’re thankful. But the initial experience left us disappointed and concerned about the respect given to the state language in such an important institution. We hope future arrangements ensure that language-specific bookings are honored properly, especially when it comes to Kannada in Karnataka.

What’s Great 1. Architectural Beauty The palace is a fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture. It’s built largely of teak wood on a stone base, with ornate carvings, arches, balconies, and floral motifs. The “zenana” quarters (women’s rooms), durbar hall, and the projecting balconies are particularly striking.  2. Historical Significance Commissioned by Hyder Ali and completed by Tipu Sultan in 1791, the palace served as his summer residence and administrative centre. After his death, the British used it as a secretariat. It offers good insight into the late-18th century Mysore kingdom and its struggles.  3. Museum / Artifact Displays A part of the ground floor has been converted into a museum with artifacts: portraits, weapons, costumes, some replicas (e.g. Tipu’s Tiger) etc. It helps bring to life the era and the person of Tipu Sultan.  4. Central Location & Accessibility The palace is located in Old Bangalore (Chamrajpet), near KR Market and Fort area. It’s reachable by public transport, autos, and not very far from main transit points. Good for tourists wanting to combine it with other nearby heritage spots.  5. Low Entry Fee For Indian citizens, the price is very modest. It makes it an affordable heritage outing.  What Could Be Better / Things to Keep in Mind 1. Scale / Surroundings Some visitors find it a bit underwhelming compared to larger palaces (e.g. Mysore Palace). The palace grounds are not very large, and some parts of the old fort are in ruin or not preserved. Urban congestion around the palace also affects how “majestic” it feels.  2. Maintenance & Cleanliness Mixed feedback on how well some parts are kept (cleanliness, upkeep of display areas). If you care about fine detail and preservation, you might notice things that need attention.  3. Crowds & Timing Being in a busy part of Bangalore, the traffic and the surroundings can detract from the experience. Early mornings or weekdays are likely best to avoid crowds and heat.  4. Expect Modest Museum The museum is interesting, but it’s not huge. If you’re expecting expansive exhibits or very polished display technology you might reach your limit fairly quickly.  5. Photography / Permissions There are some rules around photography inside certain parts; and expect small extra charges for cameras in some cases.  Final Verdict If you like history, architecture, or want to see a heritage site that is accessible and not too touristy, Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace is very much worth a visit. It offers a good slice of Bangalore’s past without requiring a full-day commitment or hefty ticket. Just go with modest expectations and especially visit early to enjoy it best.

Unfortunately, we as visitors often lack civic sense, and such places deserve stricter supervision and better maintenance. Considering the palace isn’t very large, deploying a few attentive guards and staff could make a big difference. It would also be great if the management explored creative ways to raise funds for its upkeep — like selling official merchandise (fridge magnets, postcards, Tipu Sultan–themed souvenirs), setting up a small art gallery or cultural exhibit in the garden area, and hosting heritage walks or light shows to attract more tourists. This place has so much potential to become a well-restored, self-sustaining historical gem — it just needs a bit of vision and care.

I recently visited Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace in Bangalore and really liked it. The palace is beautiful with amazing wooden architecture and detailed carvings. It’s clean, peaceful, and full of history. A nice place to visit and learn about Bangalore’s royal past. Definitely worth seeing!

I visited Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium recently and the overall experience was pretty awesome 🌌. The planetarium show itself was good, but the narration about the stars wasn’t very clear. Even though it was in English, it was a bit hard to understand and could have been explained better. The park around the planetarium was neat and well-kept ✅. However, the outdoor science exhibits definitely need some attention. They’ve been the same for years now, and maintaining or upgrading them would make the visit much more engaging for kids and students. Still, it’s a nice place to explore if you’re curious about space and science.

The planetarium is located just opposite the Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain Park. The nearest metro station is Cubbon Park of purple line. The entry fee is ₹100 per adult and ₹60 per child. Tickets can be purchased at the venue or booked in advance through the BookMyShow app. Advance booking is recommended, especially on weekends. We watched a Universe-related show in the theatre, which was quite interesting and immersive. The English pronunciation could have been a bit clearer, and the video could be made more engaging, but overall the show was enjoyable. The planetarium also features several space-related exhibits, including models of satellites, rockets, and planets, along with informative displays presented in an engaging manner. Beside the main building, there is a Science Park where kids can enjoy some fun activities. Facilities such as a sitting areas, washrooms, and drinking water are available within the premises. The staff appeared polite, though there was a slight delay before entering the show hall. The place is clean, well-maintained, and overall, it was a pleasant experience visiting here.

Nice looking chapel in the very popular and prime shivaji nagar of Bengaluru city. The place is 20 minutes walkable from popular church street and MG road. However there’s also a temple next to the basilica so the pace is generally crowded. The basilica closes around 9 pm so it is recommended to visit early to enter inside. I reached late so I could only see it from outside.

Good place to visit! The church has a peaceful atmosphere. Just note that it’s usually closed on Sundays due to regular prayers. There are also a few shopping stalls nearby where you can buy small items and souvenirs.

The church is well maintained and very clean, even when it’s crowded during Mass. The area outside could be cleaner, but overall it’s a wonderful place to attend Mass and spend some quiet time. I spent around 2 hours here and really liked the experience.

The energy inside the temple is powerful, and the darshan of Lord Shiva was blissful. The temple staff and devotees were very polite and helpful, making the visit even more special. A must-visit place for anyone seeking peace and divine connection.

One of the oldest temples of Bangalore. The Pooja was very healing to me. It is a natural cave temple , monolithic stone. You can see traces of GANGA, CHOLAS& VIJAYANAGARA dynasties work all around the temple.

A well maintained National museum located in prime area of the city. Visited on a weekend entry fee was 20 rs only. The place is peaceful with lush greenary. There is a variety of paintings and artwork. The paintings reflect various situations and themes that are on based, society, culture, history etc. Overall I liked the experience and would recommend art lovers to visit

If you are a lover of modern art, this is a must visit place for you! It has multiple galleries with unique and interesting paintings and sculptures. You will need s around 1-2 hours to cover this place. It has parking space too. The entry tickets can be bought at the spot. A nice place to visit with your partner or friends.

Really nice gallery, the art was wonderful and the space and area itself were quite peaceful. However, I didn’t quite understand the rules around not being allowed to take videos of the place/pictures of yourself next to the art. Respected it regardless, of course, but the constant presence of staff in each room, closely watching and following visitors, made the experience a bit uncomfortable. I get that they’re there to ensure the rules are followed, but the way it was handled felt a little intrusive.

First visit, and I was honestly surprised. 20rs ticket, and what you get is priceless. Beautiful old building, peaceful garden, and rooms filled with art I’ve never seen before. Felt calm and curious the whole time. It’s not crowded or loud just quiet, thoughtful, and very different from usual places in Bangalore. A perfect place to slow down and see something new.

Entry fee is just Rs. 20 for Indians. Every room has security personnel that are doing their job diligently, at times it feels like they are stalking you 😅 but they are super friendly and helpful. However, if you have any doubts, there's no one for clarification. I was told that guided tours are conducted on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 4 pm (please call the museum to confirm). Art is subjective, so cannot comment on it. I just want to point out that visit this museum with an open mind, not just by the name of the museum. There were paintings and sculptures (wooden, metal, stone, etc.). While it's kept well in terms of cleanliness and organization, there's lingering foul smell in the hall on the first floor. There's a gift shop, with the items reasonably priced. Behind that you could find the canteen (by the looks of it and the menu, I only purchased a water bottle). And beside the canteen, drinking water and bathrooms (not-so-clean) are available. Art library can be accessed from the adjacent staircase. I spent around 90 minutes, time well spent.

It's a great place, there are two museums next to each other, the science and historic museum. This is the historic one. The entry fee is ₹20 for adults and ₹10 for kids as on Feb 2021 and there is ample parking space. It was a nice time to see so many ancient things, the sulptures and paintings etc. It's a must visit place if you enjoy historical museums.

Impressive quaint red heritage building on Kasturba Road more than 150 years old. If you love art, history and heritage this is a must visit. With the Rs 20 entry ticket one can also visit the art collection having amongst others some find Ten more paintings and wooden sculptures at Venkatappa Art gallery which is in the same premises and one leads to another. Archaeological findings comprising of pottery, sculptures, armaments, coins and scriptures dating back to Neolithic age can be found at the museum. Some amazing sculptures of prehistoric times well preserved makes it a must visit when coming to Bangalore for a visit. Good for children too to make them aware of our rich history and culture. Government Musem, Bengaluru, Karnataka is the Official Government Museum which is situated adjacent to Visvesvaraya industrial and technological museum in Bengaluru. This museum is established in 1865 and now this museum is one of the most oldest museums which are still operating in India and second most oldest museum in South India. In 1877, the New building was constructed and Opened. From that time, that same building is still operating as one of the most finest archaeological museums in India. It is now an archaeological museum and has a rare collection of archaeological and geological artifacts including old jewellery, sculpture, coins and inscriptions. The museum is also home to the Halmidi inscription,the earliest Kannada inscription (450 AD). As this museum is almost in the City centre and very near to Visvesvaraya museum and many other main attractions of the Cit, the annual visitors will cross 1 Lakh in Number from Various parts of the Country and even from other Countries also. So if you are planning a trip to Bengaluru, please visit this Government Museum also.

I had a great experience visiting this place. The topics covered are excellent and very helpful for school students. I noticed many students enjoying their time and engaging with the exhibits. All the units on display are well-maintained, fully functional, and provided a clear understanding of the concepts. The only drawback is the lack of dedicated parking, so I had to use paid parking services nearby. Overall, a very educational and enjoyable visit!

Visvesvaraya Industrial park is an awesome place to visit for kids and adults.. There was not much rush as we entered the park,however as time passed on kids from different schools poured in.. The joy you get while doing the experiments is priceless.. All have explanations written beneath it.. The 3D jungle show is also good.. There is a cafeteria and restroom.. You can also buy souvenirs from there.. Overall a must visit place 😍

The Science on a Sphere and engine sections were especially impressive.Some parts of the museum feel a bit old, but overall it's well-maintained and informative. This place is for kids and adults alike. It does not have elaborate collection on display but it does have many Helicopters and planes on display. This place has a story to tell and gives a good perspective into the Journey of Indian Air-force and Indian defense. It was a good time spent with my family and my 7yr old loved it.

Visited the HAL Heritage Centre and Aerospace Museumand had an amazing experience! Pros: A great place to learn about the history of HAL and India’s aviation and defense systems. Educational and engaging for kids, with informative displays. Features a few LCVs, fighter jets, helicopters and missiles on display. Cons: Limited parking space outside the museum. No clear signage or instructions for navigating the exhibits. Flight simulator was under maintenance during the visit. The collection is relatively small and could be expanded.

St Marks Cathedral located close to the church street and MG road is more than 200 years old church build in English Baroque architecture. Interiors of the church is dominated by large columns (columns can be seen on the exteriors as well). Wooden chairs with plastic weaves provides seating as well as the old world charms. Church is open for all religious faith, however security will check to see if you are going to the church or coming there to secure a free parking near church street. Church is decently maintained, however the iron staircase on one side looks ugly on a heritage structure.

St. Mark’s Cathedral is named after Saint Mark (believed to be the first gospel writer) and is located at the west end of Mahatma Gandhi Road, MacIver Town, Bangalore. Its architecture is inspired by the 17th century St Paul’s Cathedral. The church serves as the Cathedral (Ecclesia Matar) of the Church of South India, Karnataka Central Diocese. Found in 1808, the cathedral celebrated its 200 years bicentenary in 2007-8. This serene place attracts people from all faith. Holy Communion on all Sundays, starts at 07.00, 08.30 and 10.30. A must visit in Bengaluru!

We went on the weekend and it was a good experience. However it was closed but singing was going on. The clean and silent atmosphere was a peaceful experience. Location wise it's amazing and just near to corporation and public and private transport services are available. The metro is also in walking distance. People are good and overall a good experience.

The metro station is very clean, there's no doubt in it. But the washroom is just the opposite. Especially the women's bathroom is so dirty without cleaning it and I don't know from how long the pads and everything are in the dustbin filled with water, you feel like puking when you see the washroom area. I request the authorities and the responsible people to kindly clean it and the ladies to have some civic sense.

Underground metro station constructed perfectly. Have all facilities like elevator, drinking water, rest room etc. Purple line metro runs in this station. Outside the entrance and exit, auto rickshaws are available to specific spots. Decent train frequency is maintained.

This is the station if you want to visit Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium. In normal days, it’s so silent & ver little crowded. Washrooms are clean & overall station is well maintained. The mural art on the walls of station is so satisfying to watch. From the side i got out, there were Birds mural painting.

I have been here for three times, The architecture of the temple was Excellent, The City view from the Temple was spectacular. Very peaceful, calm, Spiritual and Awesome feeling .. Only thing is ,After completion of darshan we will go through the line where many chat items will be sold are commercial.

Very peaceful temple eventhogh it is crowded by the devotees. I felt like I've got something new energy when I returned back from there. The vigraha of Sreekrishna and Radha is really oustanding to see during night. Statues made with Gold and the lightings over there would give a pleasant view to your eyes. And you will have a beautiful view of Bangalore from the top of temple especially during sun set. Moreover very hygienic, Good management. A must visit place here in Bangalore.

Beautiful Temple.. an amazing structure on a small hill and main alters are Radha Krishna, Narashimhan and Tirupati makes it a complete visit. Awesome food as prasadam, gallery and museum, shops to pickup amazing merchandize and a blessed dancing aarti completes all. ISKCON Bangalore is a charitable society with the objective of propagating Krishna Consciousness all over the world, as explained by Srila Prabhupada whose teachings are based on Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam. The society was registered in the year 1978 under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960. The objects of the society are derived from the Seven Purposes of ISKCON as stated by Srila Prabhupada.

ISKCON Temple in Bengaluru is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The best part is the Harinaama Dwara — before entering the main temple, you take 108 steps, and before each step, you chant the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra. It feels very pure and peaceful while doing that. Before entering the main temple of Shri Krishna, just take a moment to enjoy the breeze, calmness, and the amazing city view — it feels really soothing. The temple is clean and well managed with cloakrooms, shoe counters, and parking. There’s also a metro station that connects directly to the temple premises, which makes it easy to reach. While exiting, make sure to try the sweets — they’re very tasty and worth it. Overall, a wonderful and divine experience.

It was a truly mesmerising day when I decided to visit the ISKCON temple over the weekend. As I approached the temple, I could feel the spiritual energy enveloping the atmosphere, despite the crowd of devotees that had gathered. The intricate architecture of the white temple stood out beautifully against the blue sky, and the sounds of chanting filled the air, creating a serene yet lively ambience. Inside, the aroma of fresh flowers and incense wafted through the halls, enhancing the sacred experience. People of all ages were engaged in prayer and meditation, their faces reflecting a deep sense of peace and devotion. I found solace in the rhythmic chants and the uplifting energy that pervaded the space. The sense of community among the visitors was palpable, and I felt connected to something much larger than myself. It was a day filled with tranquillity and a profound sense of purity, making me grateful for the opportunity to be there.

Nice place to worship Lord Krishna. Very well connected with metro and Bengaluru buses. In temple, darshan facilities, food & water facilities are good. Overall very good arrangements,cleanliness and nice experience. Only thing is no special feeling. It's like visiting any other temple. Maybe because temple is surrounded by big buildings; so not giving that divine vibes where we tries to connect with God with peace.

There’s a prasadam hall, a small food court serving delicious sattvic meals, and even a shop where you can buy books and souvenirs. Everything is neat and well maintained. The temple complex is huge and beautifully designed, making it a great place for both devotees and tourists. If you’re in Bengaluru, ISKCON is a must-visit whether you go for spiritual peace, prayer, or just to admire the stunning architecture. You’ll definitely leave feeling calm and refreshed. 🙏✨

The ISKCON Temple in Rajajinagar is a wonderful and mesmerizing place. It’s one of the biggest temples in Bangalore with beautiful architecture and peaceful surroundings. The spiritual atmosphere fills you with positivity and devotion. Inside the temple complex, there are many trust-run shops where you can buy beautiful idols, devotional items, and spiritual books like the Bhagavad Gita. It’s truly a divine place to visit with family and friends.

I visited on a Saturday evening around 6 PM. The place was quite crowded, yet the volunteers and devotees were managing everything very well. Footwear can be kept in a sack for a nominal charge of ₹5–₹10, or at the free slipper stand. Since I wasn’t carrying any cash and there was no digital payment option, the staff kindly helped me by keeping my slippers safely in a sack. One of the most unique aspects was at the first entry level into the sanctum, where every devotee is asked to chant “Hara Krishna Hara Rama” 108 times. With each step, the chant continues until one reaches the first temple dedicated to Lord Narasimha. Photography inside the sanctum is strictly prohibited, which helps preserve the sanctity of the space. The sequence of the sanctums is as follows: First: Lord Narasimha, Lord Anjaneya, and Garuda Second: Lord Venkatachalapati Final: Radha Krishna Inside, one truly feels the divine bliss and a sense of oneness with Lord Krishna. The atmosphere stands out for its cleanliness, absence of beggars, and the fact that no one pressures you to make donations. While special darshan options are available, even the free darshan is fulfilling and complete. On the way out, there are stalls with spiritual books such as Lord Krishna Leela and the Bhagavad Gita. A variety of good-quality food items are also available at very reasonable prices. Additionally, hot khichdi prasad is continuously served to devotees, adding to the overall divine experience.

The show begins at 7 PM on Saturday, and the light display is definitely worth seeing, kids will love it! Entry tickets are just ₹30, and it’s free for children. The park is quite spacious, so feel free to arrive a little early to soak in the scenery and capture some great photos.

I visited the Indira Gandhi Musical Fountain over the weekend, and it was a lovely experience. Pros: The combination of music and lighting was beautiful, creating a very attractive atmosphere. Cons: The sound quality could be improved — the speakers seem a bit old. It would also be nice to update the background music selection.

Very nice and calm place. Kids can run around,play and enjoy. The musical fountain is not that attractive. Very old songs selection. No effort to improve in any aspect. I saw kids and their parents leave the place just 10 minutes after the show started,including my kids who were not at all interested. It was not interesting for us, adults too.

Lots of greenery around. One can watch the musical fountain. There are 2 shows starting at 7 pm. The sound system is not up to the mark. There is no dedicated parking. One has to park 4 wheelers on the other side of the road

Surrounded by dense trees and greenery, the fresh air and soothing sounds of birds create a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Conveniently located in the heart of the city, it’s an ideal spot for people of all ages to unwind and spend quality time. The park is well-maintained, with clean restrooms, ample parking, dedicated spaces for yoga and meditation, and well-marked jogging trails both inside and around the park — all of which make it a standout destination.

Good place. Visit once. There are army helicopters modal. Very nice garden to sit chat flirt and dating. Family place. Children park is also there. Suitable place for morning walk. And temple is also there. Washroom is there.

The fountain show was very basic with average music and visuals. Not much excitement for adults, but kids might enjoy it. Overall, it’s a decent place for a short visit.

I recently visited Shri Someshwara Swamy Temple, Halasuru – one of the oldest and most divine temples in Bangalore. 🌸 Temple Architecture & Gopuram: The temple is very big, and the tall, beautifully carved Gopuram at the entrance instantly caught my eye. Right as you enter, you can see two lingams – Sri Bhimeswara and Sri Chandramouleshwara – which give a divine start to the darshan. 🙏 Main Deities: The presiding deity here is Shri Someshwara Swamy (a form of Lord Shiva). Along with him, we can also have darshan of Shri Kamatchi Amman. The temple also has separate shrines for Lord Suryanar, Sri Dakshinamurthy, Lord Subramanya Swamy with Valli and Deivanai, Lord Brahma, Lord Maha Vishnu, Bala Vinayaga, and Siddhi Vinayaga. 🔥 Unique Experience: I was stunned to see Lord Anjaneya (Hanuman) inside this Shiva temple – which is very rare. This makes it even more special, as you can receive the blessings of almost all the main deities under one roof. There is also a separate shrine for the Navagrahas. 🔔 Divine Atmosphere: The temple plays the continuous chanting of “Om Namah Shivaya”, which adds an extra divine vibration and peaceful energy throughout the premises. 🪔 Offerings & Pooja: Outside the temple, you can light diyas and offer flowers and malas to the main deity. I bought one Pooja bag (₹120) which included two bananas, a coconut, and flowers – very convenient for devotees. ✨ Overall Experience: The atmosphere inside is calm, divine, and spiritually uplifting. What a beautiful temple this is! So peaceful. I went on a Sunday morning around 8-8:30 am and there were barely much people around. I would recommend going after 9am so all the alankaras would be done on the deities and you don't miss out on any shrines.

Such a wonderful and divine place to visit! Built in the 11th century, the temple offers a serene atmosphere, and we had a great darshan along with a deeply spiritual experience throughout the visit. Tips: Be prepared for limited car parking, as the temple is located on a narrow road. Also, it’s best to avoid visiting on auspicious or festival days, as it can get very crowded.

My Google Review # 000451 Shivji is quietly residing here in this 800yrs old temple made by the Cholas as they say! He is referred to as Someshwara, meaning the one who adorns the Soma (Chandra)! Nandi Vigrah of this temple is also huge and appears to be gold plated. The entire complex of the temple spreads out in a very big parcel of land and it hosts a lot of other small temples. There are beautiful Hanumanji, Ganeshji and Devi Maa temples also here which do resonate with you if you in an agreeable state of energy reception. I personally just loved the Hanumanji temple and the first temple of Shiv ji at the left side of the entrance. Both these small temples had a different aura! One rule applicable here is that you are not allowed to light any diya inside the complex as they have maintained its hygiene well. You can light your diyas outside the temple where proper diya stands are made. Just like other ancient temples, this one also dates to more than 500yrs ago. The temple is open in morning and evening for darshan, except for 1300hrs to 1730hrs. So, plan your darshan visit accordingly. The temple is not even 300m from the nearest metro station of Halasuru. Once you come here, do visit the 2nd ancient temple across the road which is called Subramanya Swamy temple dedicated to Kartikeya, the son of Shiv ji. Date of experience # Aug 2025.

It's a good place to spend sometime exploring the history of bangalore's royals. I'm personally not a big fan though of such a place so it all depends on one's taste what they are expecting from it. The most unique thing i found was the display of wardrobe of the royal wadiyar family which gave a glimpse of what they used to wear. It's not a very big place. You can easily cover entire palace from inside in 30-40 mins and around 20-30 mins to explore the little garden area which is opposite the palace when you come out after visiting the palace. Photography inside palace is restricted in most areas barring few public corners. You can get some great views and pics with the palace from garden area. There is a per person ticket of ₹300/- (as in Sep 2025) which i felt was quite high but again it also depends what you have come to this place to explore. Ideally ticket must have been 50 or 100 rupees. Note. There is a metro station nearby that directly let's you enter inside a mall. If you're coming to this palace from that mall, avoid taking an auto or taxi from that area. Just walk a little ahead from the mall area and then hire an auto or best book using ola or rapido

This is one of the palaces of Mysore Maharaja. There is a steep entry fee of Rs 300 for Indians and Rs 500 for foreigners. Sadly photography is not allowed inside. An audio guide is available as a part of the package. However, you need to deposit one of your original identity documents as a guarantee for getting the same - I felt a bit uncomfortable and didn't go for it. A lot of rooms are under renovation and entry restricted. The original paintings of Raja Ravi Varma was one of the best places to be in. The office of the erstwhile beloved king of Mysore, His Highness Srikantadatta Wodeyar made me nostalgic. If the paintings can be put inside a glass frame , I feel their life can be extended. Overall the palace has been maintained well inside. The garden outside needs immediate attention. Lots of grass and weeds have taken over and need urgent attention

Though I've been in Bangalore for quite some time, I decided to visit the iconic Bangalore Palace only recently. Unfortunately, the visit turned out to be disappointing and not worth the money. It is too costly. In fact, the majestic Mysore Palace offers a far richer experience at a cheaper price. Please note that they accept only cash or card and NO UPI. Most areas of the Bangalore palace are closed to the public, leaving only a limited portion accessible. An audio guide is included with the ticket, but the process felt disorganised. After being told to wait 20 minutes as none were available, I saw another visitor receive one audio guide immediately, even though I was still waiting. To make matters worse, the guide itself wasn't very helpful. Many of the spots mentioned in it were hard to identify, there was no clear signage or explanation about the people connected to the palace though many photographs are in display. We were often left clueless about what we were actually looking at. Photography inside the palace is strictly prohibited, which further limits the experience. While the exteriors are beautiful and provide some good photo opportunities, I would suggest skipping the paid entry and simply enjoying the views from outside and walking around the palace and the garden which is free of cost.

Felt like I was walking inside an old royal house. The building looks grand from outside, good for photos. Inside, it’s quiet and old-style, with old furniture, paintings, and halls. Ticket was rs 270, bit costly for what you see, but okay for a one-time visit. Best part was just sitting outside and enjoying the view.

A must-visit place if you're keen on art and paintings. I visited this place back in February where there was a major arts exhibition during the month. Be it the main gallery or basement floor gallery, the craftsmanship is seen in all the paintings. They do have paintings for sale which might cost you a lot for the bigger canvas and vice versa. The other main attraction is the handicrafts and colorful textiles of various states of India sold in the exhibition stalls (flea market).

When it comes to art collection, this is the must visit place in Bangalore. Artworks from all over the world have made their home in the heart of the city. Besides artworks and paintings, one can get good stuff for home decor, textiles, hand embroidered kurtis, cushion covers and bed spreads, handmade articles, brass / wooden items, jewelry, antique pieces from various parts of the country. There are various exhibition stalls available for various articles. A minimum of half day can be spent in just going through the display. Renovation work is also going on parallelly. So don't know what surprise is awaiting for my next visit.

This is easily one of the best office buildings in Bangalore. There’s a beautiful artificial lake in front, with several fountains and a walking path it looks especially stunning in the evening. It’s also right next to Orion Mall, which is full of big brands. If you’ve got a big budget, it’s a shopping go-to.

Just visited this place on weekend. I don't know how people might be feeling working in that closed building but once you step out of that building it's beautiful to sit outside near that artificial lake and spend evening with a cup of tea or coffee. Such a peaceful place to be. Though on weekends due to orian mall it becomes crowded but WTC side it's still calm as very less people are there for office on weekends.

Inside, there are four caves showing the 12 Jyotirlingas with info about each , but the setup feels more like a theme park or ghost house than something spiritual. They start by giving you a bowl of 108 rudrakshas and ask you to drop them into 108 bowls while chanting Om Namah Shivaya.Then you tie a thread to a stick and head into the caves. After that, you’ll see the huge Shiva statue , that’s the main attraction and it does look amazing. They also give a coin, a candle, and a small bag of sesame seeds for a few rituals, but it feels very commercial. Even the milk used for abhishekam and the sesame bags seem to be reused. There’s a small place to sit and meditate in front of the big statue, which was the only peaceful part. Overall, nice for a single visit, just to see the statue , but definitely not a place for real worship.

The idol of Lord Hanuman is powerful and beautifully decorated, and other deities make it feel complete. The huge rock carvings of Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara are simply breathtaking and something you don’t see often. The temple is clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by greenery, which adds to the serenity. Saturdays are especially vibrant with so much positive energy and devotion all around. Beautiful, beautiful temple located atop a little hill. I loved the location. It's a little climb and they've got stairs and a slope as well. The shrines were lovely. Also got to see the carvings of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara as well. I went on a Sunday and the place wasn't crowded.

Really really beautiful church near church street ...... Love the different architecture of this place and truely adore the beautiful glass-art inside the church ..... I espically like the slanting roof of the place , gives a lot of Irish vibes ..... There's no proper timings displayed as such, just the timings of prayers and mass have been shown ....so make sure you visit this place during mass-timings .... The timings shown in Google maps is not that accurate and the security ppl may shoo you off if you go at odd timings .... if you request them , they will allow you to see the church....but am not sure how open they will be -_- So visit it during prayer timings! I went here on Saturday at around 3..... The front door was closed but I could go inside from the side-doors .nobody was present inside at the time except for few church caretakers who were cleaning and propping up the place for evening prayer... A security guard later came up to me to inform me that taking photos was prohibited all throughout the church grounds !!.... but anyways....there was no signage that says - no photography allowed ! , so I had already taken couple of photos :) Reaching this place is easy as it's very much beside the mainroad itself and metro is nearby ( need to walk a little but it's manageable) The place is very aesthetic with lots of focus on fine details .... The surroundings are filled with plants and is well maintained .... Overall, I loved the fine details like the rows of hanging potted plants everywhere (even inside the church! ...you can see them trailing down near the glass piece) , Bible books kept at every isle, classy glowing round lights, the clock tower, the coloured tinted glasses and obviously the very artfull glasswork which is soo majestic! Love it :)))))

More than a century old and of Scottish architecture , this Church , situated right in the middle of the central business district , oozes Old World charm and serenity . Its spic and span interior , the antique wooden furnishings and the beautiful stauned glass window , all inspire peace within. The large garden space is excellent lungspace for the congested city . The staff is kind and friendly .

I am extremely disappointed with the behavior of the security guards at the church. Their management is very poor, and the way they talk to people is completely unprofessional and disrespectful. I came on Saturday to pray, but instead of experiencing peace in a devotional place, I was treated rudely, as if it were not a house of God but a place of insult. How can security staff speak with such bad manners in front of the church? This is shameful! They are not even afraid of God, and yet they behave so arrogantly at His doorstep. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God can only be worshipped on certain days. Prayer is between a believer and God, not for guards to decide. As a Roman Catholic, I feel hurt and angry at such treatment. A church is supposed to welcome, not humiliate, people. I strongly request that the church management take this matter seriously and correct the behavior of the front gate security guards.

I went in the evening there was some online class in the meditation hall. I wish such classes were taken outside in some other halls. If this hall had pure silence and just mantras at schedules instead of these classes it would have been an even more serene experience to just sit there. They offer lots of meditation courses for free with stay and accommodation ❤️

Kids had a nice time , really good displays. ticket ranging from 50 to 150 for various displays. Has a non ac restaurant at terrace, and a Cafe in basement. food was over priced. the terrace restaurant gives a great view of ub city. the staircase between floors was the most flocked space for pics, because of the beautiful shades of colors. Has clean washrooms. Has a single large lift. Has no parking, so you need to park in the lane next to it, near the kingfisher tower, very limited spots. Tuesdays are free. We spent close to 3 hours there. Kaleidoscope display and digital display were great.

Their cute little store on the ground floor is a must visit too. There's also a locker to keep personal belongings for free, alongside a nice cafe in the basement. This is a nice museum right opposite the Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technology Museum. I went there with my 7 year old. We went there on a Tuesday and luckily it was the day all displays are free. We had to deposit our bag in the lower ground floor. There were three digital experience rooms below, so we did those first. They were a lot of fun and my kid really enjoyed those. The staff was also very friendly there. As we went up, we saw that there was QR code provided to help navigate the museum. But it only took us to the site, which was a bit slow and it wasn't clear how to get to the app. As we went through various floors and displays, it would have been nice to have some audio to guide us along. The app/website didn't work for us. So we just managed by reading and walking through the museum. The museum was very clean, the displays were nice but it wasn't something kids would like. The digital experience my kid first saw were the highlight for him, he didn't enjoy the rest of the museum so much. It would have been nice if they had an interactive display or a quiz or something on each floor for kids to be engaged with or look forward to. The shop had interesting stuff, but the items were on the expensive side. At the top floor, there is an open restaurant. We had food there and it was quite good albeit slightly pricey. It has a nice view of the UB City area. Overall, I think the museum is very neat, accessible and has very nice displays. It is great for adults. However, it is not so much fun for kids except for the digital experience parts. It would have been great if there was an audio guide device provided by the museum. The app/website was slow and didn't help as a guide. Interactive elements were also missing which would have been fun for kids.

It’s a different experience altogether. It is not your normal art museum. Modern art is a little different & you’ll enjoy it if you feel it. It is made in all modern ways and very good. There are different kind of tickets & I took the 1,2 & 4th gallery out of which 4th gallery took my heart away. You must visit it when in Bangalore. They have washrooms, lockers and a small cafeteria. It’s a good arrangement

MAP (Museum of Art & Photography) is an absolute gem in the heart of Bengaluru! The sheer variety of art on display, from ancient artifacts to contemporary masterpieces. The museum offers a beautifully curated collection of contemporary art, photography, and historical pieces that really highlight the rich culture and creativity of India.There are 4 floors in the building and basement floor where locker for bags (its free) you can carry cameras with you.I enjoyed the interactive digital archive the most tho! It’s trippy! you can pick which exhibit you want to see. it has free entry on tuesdays and only after 2 PM..do carry your water bottle you can refill the same inside. It will take you 2-3 hrs to complete all the floors..They have washrooms + all the signage everywhere (from the lifts to the exhibits) had braille!..If you're an art enthusiast or just looking for a cultural outing, MAP is definitely worth a visit.

There is a tennis court and a football court, and a basketball court. Lifts are also very fast and 8 lifts on each floor plus 2 service kids are also there. There is a clubhouse where you can accommodate family functions like birthdays.

Beautifully designed society, with all facilities in place AND WORKING. The good part is whatever is provided is all functional and not just on the books. I’ve seen kids enjoying a swim at the pool, the swings at the park, basketball, football and lawn tennis court along with gym & other facilities at the community club. Shops are tucked in the society so little to no reason to go out for anything. Top notch security and well maintained buildings. All in all a beautiful little world in its own.

Beautiful campus. They conduct the IISc Open Day on First Saturday of March every year, and that's when public can explore the campus and experience trending science works. Kids enjoy this!

The natural beauty here is absolutely mesmerizing serene, lush, and a refreshing reminder of how nature and learning can coexist. The campus is generally well-maintained and offers a peaceful environment that inspires deep thinking. However, it was disheartening to see some ongoing construction at the cost of cutting down trees. While development is necessary, I sincerely hope it doesn’t come at the expense of the campus’s natural charm. Institutions like IIM Bangalore and IIT Madras have shown how greenery and infrastructure can flourish together and I wish the same for this beautiful place. A truly inspiring space, may its spirit be preserved for generations to come.

I visit this shiva temple occasionally. Remains crowded on mahashivratri, shravan month and on mondays. One can offer milk, water to the shivling or do abhishekam on their own. There is a holy banyan tree and 12 holy shiva lingas as well. I always feel spiritual consciousness after visiting here.

The title siva statue is slightly misleading, it is actually a Siva temple having a big statue of Lord Siva. This temple is with main deity as Lord Siva and Lord Ganapathi and Devi as subdeities. The town hall (Bangalore) is good place for attending regional folk or cultural drama shows, the chairs and seating is refurbished. There is e-toilet facilities outside premises as well as regular washrooms. It's a place to have casual weekend.

The auditorium is well maintained and possibly has a seating capacity around 500. Located in the prime location, the Townhall is well connected by thencity transport system.

Beware of agents here. Especially those who are residents and doing real estate work on commission. I visited to see apartments in 2022. One such resident/agent guy showed me 5 flats and said all are owned by him and his family. When I shortlisted one of them, he said he will do a con-call with the owner "his friend". Then it turns out the owner is no connection of his at all. So many lies can't list here. It appears these guys will say anything to get you into the apartment including lies about maintenance amount, facilities, cleaning, parking, being your buddy etc. Then they will look to send out good families to get new families just to keep making rental commissions. Same for sale commissions they lie to both sides so don't believe their market estimates and the prices quoted/promised. Do your own research from outside the apartment and if you can connect with genuine people living in the apartment (not agent-residents).

The association at sobha indraprastha is one of the weakest and inefficient in entire Bangalore. Complete chaos here .Security very very poor maintenance also very poor . People with criminal records staying in this apartment without any documents and verification highlights how security is compromised and degraded making a mockery of entire security putting the entire appartment at threat . Coming to maintenance the elite club house called as sky club @ 37 floor has been converted into "pigeon poop club" where you will find pigeon shit and stink in every nook and corner of the club house also shit floating in the swimming pool highly unhygienic and causing health issues .However timely they collect maintenance charges but are least bothered of security and maintenance .Likes this 100 + issues are there unattended . One of the major reasons for all this happening is due to the attitude and arrogance of few association members who have downgraded the 5 star property to 1 star . They do not listen to residents concerns and do not reply to messages and emails and are least bothered .

Its suggetion to management of shobha Indraprastha owners association, Kindly allow the medical team vehicles inside the recidence parking zone bcz it can save lives and give on time required service. Your security team is not caring words of mecical team (diagnostic technician, hole nursing services) kindly give the permission for this. If you didn't give the approvel for this lot of aged peoples will unable to taoe services of emergency medical team. I hope you will consider this on service note:

1) Be careful who you approach for tenancy.. Got conned by an agent who also happens to own few flats in this apartment named Mohit. He is an extortionist and a conman. ( He even tries to sell the flat by weaving stories saying he has put vibration crystals in the walls of the apartment during construction that will bring good vibes and energy into your life 😅) Other agents quote the price very very reasonably .. If you know a resident there good idea to approach through them for better price.. 2) Construction planning is bad , there is no privacy in any of the bedrooms, your neighbors have full visibility so always need to close the curtains for privacy. Bedrooms are really tiny . Kitchen is more like a kitchenett very small for family of 3 or 4. 3) No walking space at all in the garden. 4) Extreme water shortage , they ration water for 2 hrs in the morning and 2 hrs in the evening thats it, if there is an urgency have to rush to lulu mall to use the washroom! 5) However clubhouse is good. 6) There is constant loud noises from lulu mall and a pub in lulu mall especially during weekends. Also the location itself attracts lot of dust inside home even at the top floors.. 7) The most important and salient feature is waiting time for lifts !! It takes about 20mins waiting time between 8am to 8pm to get an elevator, god forbid you forget something in a hurry and need to go back to your apartment.

It is not pet-friendly place ; if you have a pet don’t buy or rent an apartment here! It is a very big problem they don’t like pets People are not respectful and thinking that thwy can say anything to you plus maintenance is horrible, no proper cleaning everywhere is pigeon dirt. Security guys are not well educated! So I don't suggest anyone this place

It's a real good place to get along

Good construction. Every resident and guest has access to all floors. Spacious common areas. But, not so huge area in the surroundings to walk around the building. You have a shopping centre within the apartment for basic needs. Location is perfect for reaching all major localities in Bangalore. View from the top floor is more spectacular than what you see on the pictures here

Such a beautiful place nestled amidst greenery. Right next to the busy and noisy Johnson's Market, the existence of such a rustic and quaint little church borders around surrealism. Built in 1869 by Pettigrew, the same guy who started Bishop Cotton's this place is a must visit for everyone who has an eye out for aesthetics and pretty architecture. Also keep an eye out for the little white eyes and the tailor birds chirping as they take bath in the water kept around the church.

One of the old and iconic churches in Namma Bengaluru. Very well maintained with so much greenery even with the smaller place due to metro acquisition. Don't miss listening to the Church organ when you are there, such a blissful experience.

As part of Unboxing Bengaluru Habba, a very interesting and insightful INTACH curated heritage walk through All Saints Church which they are involved in the restoration process. Detailed explanation of the nature of damage identified, the restoration process, the materials, the stories narrated in the stained glass windows were well explained by Lester from INTACH. The original architect was Robert Chisholm who designed it in a Gothic style unlike other buildings of his later works which was Indo Saracenic style. The church is built in the shape of the Latin Cross with the altar section of the building being a later extension resulting in a different exterior and marble flooring while the main section (nave) of the church having cuddapah slabs now Kota tiles. The roofing of the main section (nave) was steep tiled roofs with wooden rafters while the roofing of the relatively newer section is Madras terrace (brick laid roof)

This is an awesome luxury residential complex. There are 3 levels of security. First, the main gate. Second, the Apartment tower reception. Third, you, as they send a message to you through an app for confirmation, with driver and company details. But, there’s a lot of traffic near the Varthur Road next to the entrance.

Updating my rating to 1 star. The housekeeping provided by the new property management team SILA is below par and unacceptable, given that we pay a hefty maintenance fee. The waste has been dumped in various parts of society in multiple parcels (I keep seeing them not picked up and remaining there for multiple days) and is not cleaned properly. we have also seen the increase of mosquitos all over the society, flies etc. Was a great place to live a year ago be it if you were buying or renting an apartment. Not anymore. Poor maintenance of amenities leading to an unsafe environment for everyone.

No child is safe here. High wattage wires lying all around. No fencing around swimming pools. New prestige construction on both sides causing dust, noise, pollution. Stray dogs roaming around freely, creating a havoc among residents. Monkey menace. Still it’s called an A-builder selling overpriced flats.

Probably the best gated community in Bengaluru. Amazing community, three layers of security and endless club house facilities. Best part is the landscaping and open spaces. No society in Bengaluru has such low unit per area density.

It has fine building structure it is one of the oldest building in bangalore, it has many branches which deals with many civil court cases, one the branch is Metropolitan Magistrate Trafic Court 1, this Court has a serious problem of nearby noises especially the horn sounds of vehicles near it. The hearing time of this Court starts from 11:00AM onwards.

STAY AMIDST THE CLOUDS Its a landmark building like no other in South Bangalore. The tallest residential tower in South India with a helipad.

There is no dog walking area. As many house holds have pets it’s a pressing problem. The gym is not well equipped. The pool upkeep is very poor. There was no AC in the gym during entire summer. Security agency is doing a very poor job. Frequent fluctuations.
