Place is cozy and food is absolutely amazing! Totally recommended. Note that when we visited on 12 oct 2025, there was construction work for light rail extensions, which made parking a little bit difficult. I am not sure when it is scheduled to be completed.

Visited The Cupping Room in late August and tried the French Toast and Chorizo Benedict to share between two people—both dishes were absolutely amazing. If you're a fan of cinnamon and soft, chewy bread, the French Toast is a must-try. It’s rich and indulgent, so it might be a bit much for one person, but perfect for sharing. The Chorizo Benedict was the standout—every element on the plate worked perfectly together. Such a flavorful and well-balanced dish. Would definitely come back for this one!

First time here and really liked it! Coffee and matcha were awesome, and the duck noodle salad was interesting. The orange made it refreshing and kind of cut through the richness of the duck and noodles. Food was great and the place is cozy.

The Mog Champ sends his regards. One of the most popular cafes in Canberra and it was nice to come here for brunch as a visitor. We ordered a salmon veggie bowl, chicken burger and brekkie roll. I tried their staff favourite biscoff latte which I haven't seen on many cafes and it was nice! Service was good and friendly, interior looks nice and clean. Checked out Cupping Room Canberra after a friend’s recommendation — the cafe was packed when we arrived, so expectations were high We tried the duck leg cold egg noodle salad, which was decent Also got a side of scrambled eggs and bacon… and sadly, that’s where it all went downhill They served it all lumped together, with bacon oil flooding into the eggs — it ended up more like oily foam than scrambled eggs Worse was the service — cutlery and plates were basically thrown at us, no care or warmth at all We let them know the eggs were too oily to eat and even asked for napkins to blot some of it out They didn’t care, didn’t help, and offered nothing Really disappointing experience Unfortunately, we won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend

⭐ 1/5 – I Wish I Could Give Zero Stars This was one of the worst café experiences I’ve had in Canberra. I went here based on strong recommendations, but it was an absolute letdown from the start. The layout is confusing, with two entrances and no clear direction—no staff at either door to greet or help, just chaos. We sat outside and were told to order through an app. While that’s not uncommon, the app was frustrating and not user-friendly, especially when trying to order simple sides. My long black came out with some strange foam on top and tasted burnt and bitter. Things got worse when my bacon and eggs arrived—it looked more like a bowl of soup than breakfast. The dish was extremely oily, unappetising, and the eggs tasted like they were pre-packed or powdered—not fresh at all. On top of everything, the prices were far too high for the poor quality of food and service. I would love to give this café zero stars, but unfortunately, one is the lowest I can give on this app. I won’t be returning.

Very warm and friendly environment. Having the kitchen in the middle of the store is unique and adds to the feeling of being at home. I liked the baked eggs but the volume was slightly less than what I usually had in other cafes.

Great coffee and very homely space. The coffee is a little on the lighter side so knowing this I adjusted my order and the second coffee was just right. I love the decor and with a kitchen in the middle it feels like your right at home.

This small and compact cafe is quite unique with a see through and open island kitchen. The cafe serves a wide variety of food and drink which are of good standard. I would recommend the bacon and egg roll for a breakfast to brunch meal. The staff are also kind however the food takes longer to make.

Amazing place! We had the chickpea shakshuka and the salmon avocado roll, followed by the iced matcha, iced chocolate, carrot cake and cheesecake! All the food was superb!!!! Lovely pallete and sophisticated textures - I liked how the desserts weren't overly sweet as in other Australian cafés

We stumbled across this fantastic little place looking for somewhere for a healthy bite to eat for lunch… oh what a find! We both chose the Smoked Trout and Barley salad… and it was ahmayzing!!! The staff are relaxedly friendly and create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere to enjoy the thoughtfully prepared food on offer. Well worth a visit.

Food was absolutely amazing. I had a salad and the bacon/egg roll, both were delicious. The atmosphere is really lovely. Service was quite slow even though the place was quiet, with a few staff wandering around not doing much while I was waiting to order etc.

My favourite breakfast spot. Love the food, service and atmosphere. It’s a cute little restaurant, with the kitchen in the middle, where you can see the chefs. This creates a really cool atmosphere and you can see how clean everything is. Highly recommend!

This place has been completely ruined by the management. Ordered the same dish one year later and it was so poorly made, absolutely doused in sauce. Look at the pics for comparison of quality with the old and new management. I will never be eating here again. I used to really like this place and it is such a shame that it has been ruined.

The food tasted nice but the servings were extremely small for the price. A 10% surcharge on weekends and public holidays didn't help the price:food ratio. For French toast I would've expected at least a whole croissant but based on the slices, I don't even think I got that. The servers also seemed a little confused sometimes and would often go to the wrong table.

Pulled up expecting usual Teddy Picker's as signage outside still has the same brandmark. Walked in and it's clear it's changed owners. The vibe is non-existent, the matcha was stale, and the food just wasn't good. I'm so sorry, but I'd recommend changing up your business direction. If you're keeping the name of a well-known and beloved business, then you need to up-keep the same level of service, food quality, etc. Just re-brand and carve your own space.

I've been here several times but this time wasn't pleasant. Especially when I saw insects in the bakery display. I wasn't impressed with the quality of food and the friends I say with said their food wasn't up to standard. I'm not sure I will return. Sorry TP

The food was good but it could be great! I got their Brekky Roll and it was very different to the norm; loved the flavours and the brisket inside was fantastic. Small gripe, it was messy to eat and I ended up using a knife and fork despite the roll screaming to be picked up. The hot chocolate looked awesome and wasn't bad but honestly felt like it needed a bit more chocolate after getting through the top. It was reasonably busy, and provided a good atmosphere. Will check it out again as I want to try more. On a final note, parking was horrendous. Too many good places suffer for lack of parking.

I had high hopes for Monster Bar in Canberra, but unfortunately, their cheese board fell well below expectations, especially considering the premium $39 price. For that price, I expected a thoughtfully curated selection with a balance of quality cheeses, fresh accompaniments, and attention to presentation. Instead, what was served looked like something hastily thrown together at home. The board featured a few basic cheeses, some tired grapes and raisins, a handful of mixed nuts, dry crackers, and a small piece of quince paste. One of the cheeses even looked like it had been sitting out too long. It was underwhelming and felt like an afterthought, not a premium experience. When we politely raised this with the waiter, their only suggestion was to return the board. No attempt was made to offer a replacement, a better alternative. For a venue that charges premium prices and markets itself as high-end, this lack of customer service was very disappointing. What makes this even more frustrating is that venues like Ambrosia provide cheese boards that are not only generous and beautifully presented but also far more reasonably priced. Ambrosia’s platters show real care, with artisan cheeses, fresh produce, and well-matched sides that make you feel the price is justified. Monster Bar needs to seriously improve both the quality of their offering and their approach to customer service. At the moment, it feels like style over substance, and not worth the money. OUTRAGEOUS

RIP Monster. The old Monster was our go-to for special occasions, and whilst over the last year we’d noticed a distinct drop in the level of customer service we’ve always tried to give the place the benefit of the doubt as the food and menu remained excellent. We were aware of the change in approach to an omnivore menu before we booked, and knew we’d miss the tasty veggie, vegan (and almost entirely) GF offer. Tonight we had booked an early table before a film. We were met hesitantly, shown to a dining table in the bar area where we were seated and told to order at the bar. We assumed perhaps a new approach to early evening dining or that there was an event in the main dining area. Sadly no, this is the new status quo and both our first round of drinks and food were served to the wrong table. Whilst the food was tasty, it was overpriced, and if we’d have booked for an (even more) special occasion we’d have been left with a bad taste in the mouth. A disappointing experience.

This is a nice venue within Ovolo Nishi on the ground floor. The layout of the restaurant is nice, as it is open and there is space between tables. You have to order food and drinks at the bar, so it doesn't have a typical restaurant feel to it. We were coming to watch a movie at Palace cinemas but came here first for a beer. It is nice that they have a fireplace, as the venue has a warm and cosy feel. It would be most convenient if you were staying in the hotel to come down for a meal.

A Thursday night birthday celebration that was 5/10. Staff not familiar with table reservation system and actual table location. Bar staff needed assistance with drinks, senior staff took over and was excellent. Bar staff were also waiters so had a lot of work. I took empty glasses to bar at one stage as table was becoming crowded. Entree was interesting with a load of olives, no cheese. Perhaps chef was off for night. Winter flu is raging in Canberra. Staff tried to give more mains to people who already had them. Lovely location and atmosphere and food quality was almost what I had been told to expect from others recommendations. Gonna return in summertime.and try again.

The owner must have been changed. I came here twice before and it was fine. Now it's completely unacceptable. It's extremely overpriced, the portions are tiny, and worst of all, every single dish tasted terrible. They just dumped tons of salt in everything. If you want to upset someone, recommend them to come here. After reading more negative comments, I started wondering how much of the food was actually made in the kitchen. The fried calamari cost $26 and tasted like a premade pack with salt from the supermarket. Four pieces of unremarkable little tortellini cost $30. The lamb loin that taste like merely sour cream was ridiculously tough and undercooked, and that was $46. The worst birthday dinner of my life. I'm sad that my husband chose this place to make me happy - he thought it was nice but was deceived by the new business owner.

Delicious, interesting vegetable dishes. Great flavours and well prepared. Our party of 2 shared the corn ribs, pomello pumpkin salad and the crispy tofu to start. Then shared the cauliflower shwarma main dish. The cauliflower was very tasty, ribs and tofu were very good, the pressed pumpkin in the salad was a little strange texturally, but the pomello and creamy feta was a nice combo. Great wine list, attentive service. We'll be back 👍🏼

you usually cant go wrong with any coffee spots in Straya. Coffee here was good and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating which was also plentiful. They have plated meals but also quick munchies. We got their flat white and their coffee+croissant combo. Unfortunately, croissant wasnt fresh. Dry and not flaky at all. For some reason, im not so surprised being that this is also a grab-an-go place option. we still ate in anyway. We did enjoy their outdoor seating and that they are dog-friendly. Good thing weather was lovely during our visit.

After a quick Google search we ended up here not even where we were going but it being packed told us it was the place to be. And all those people knew what they were doing. Food delicious coffee amazing atmosphere relaxed just the perfect place to stop and recharge before we headed back to Sydney.

The food and drinks are great! It's not salty and you can feel the freshness of the good ingredients. However, you can't order at the table and the servers aren't very friendly. Expect friendly service as much as the taste.

Lots of food and drink options. Portion sizes are massive - good bang for your buck. Their hot chocolate is delicious. Bit squishy indoors, but the outdoor seating is great in nice weather.

i really like their matcha here and their food is really good, but when i went, they gave me the wrong drink order and also forgot my meal. i had to reach out to ask where my croissant order was and was told the order had not made it to the kitchen. i had waited 40 mins. the workers were very polite and i am sure it is not usually like this, i will give this place another try next time.

Food here is good but staff were not attentive. It’s unclear whether you are meant to go as find a table or they will find a table to seat you. When you walk in they just don’t address you, it’s a bit awkward. But great menu.

Great steak, friendly service. Like all pubs it has indoor seating with tables of various sizes but it was pretty full instead and noisy with conversation. Elected to sit at the uncovered terrace facing the road but got too cold so moved to the "tent" style sitting with heating.

Great food, plenty of outdoor seats and dog friendly. Would definitely recommend the hummus dish, the roasted chickpeas add such a great texture!

Great dog-friendly spot with cosy outdoor seating! We had a guest from out of town and needed a dog friendly place to have dinner during a cold winter night. Lucky to have found The Pedlar! The outdoor seating area is well-covered and equipped with heaters, making it warm and comfortable. I would recommend the coconut chicken salad and prawn and chorizo linguine. Loved the shoestring fries too which were were crispy and the molten lava cake was divine. Staff were welcoming and accommodating, and their Instagram page was prompt to reply. Food and service were excellent—definitely coming back!

What a fabulous night for fathers day ! Three generations coming together , we came from Peth Western Australia. After a little confusion...it all came together well. Food and service was great, thank you . All 10 of us ! Enjoyed ourselves.

Only went here for breakfast but the variety was pretty decent. They cook up a mean big breakfast which left me satisfied. The bacon was deliciously smoky and the eggs were suitably runny. They even surprisingly had a Japanese inspired menu, offering okonomoyaki pancakes and Yuzu salmon which while refreshing was on the expensive side. 18 dollars for pancakes while 19 buys a big breakfast seemed a little 'not worth' the coffee was on the acidic side, providing a very tart coffee, while that didn't suit my taste, others may possibly enjoy. Not sure if they rotate beans to provide a cycle of flavours but that was my experience during the two days I was there.

Great place for a quick meal. Relatively fast and I love their chai latte. The pedlar burger was good as well but I think the bun was a little too much. Overall, great place.

A nice selection of beers on tap. The hommus plate was also excellent. My only criticism is that the air conditioning seemed to either be turned off or nonexistent.

August 2024 I don't understand why this place have such a high google rating. My partner and I went here for breakfast on a Saturday. Luckily we got seated quickly despite having no bookings. Coffee order came quickly. The coffee was good. It took them forever to come back to get our food order. And the food took a long time to come out. The food description sounded nice, the food looked pretty, but the serving was so small and tasteless. We paid over $90 for breakfast for two. That included 10% weekend surcharge. What a total rip off. Trying to be uparket, but it didn't meet the mark.

Used to be one of my favourites but today's visit turns very disappointing. The first pic is the Quesadilla I had about one year ago, and now it is like the second pic - very thin fillings with just canned beans and corns and the dip sauces have nothing to do with salsa and sour cream as on the menu. The pineapple (p4) looks more like some sort of fungi I definitely won't eat that! Then the add on smoked trout also does not smell nice - you can tell by its colour... 75 dollars to ruin my own Saturday. Thanks for that. Will never be there again👎

Very nice, definitely one to try if you're in the area. Steak and eggs were lovely. Mushrooms on toast were great but a lot of kale to eat in one sitting! Coffee is pretty good too

Great cafe with amazing Avo Toast and coffee to its perfection. Service needs a little more courtsey because (1) Our TA coffee was served 20 minutes before TA food which made coffee cold. Apology is how far it went. (2) 2nd day we went with full family of 7 but despite full table available was asked to seat outside. We ended up doing TA coffee only. And kids ended up playing on walkway while waiting so didnt end too bad.

Had a really delicious coffee this morning and was tempted into purchasing of one of their amazing looking muffins - white chocolate and raspberry. However other than the very top layer (which had only two) there are no raspberries and extremely minimal chocolate in the rest of the muffin. Dry and disappointing for $6.50. As appetising as they look in the cabinet I won’t be coming back to try any other flavours.

I don’t write reviews often, in fact this is the first time I’ve written one. But I felt it was worth the feedback. Waffles were very disappointing. Dry as cardboard, an almost nonexistent scoop of compote and ice cream in proportion to the waffles size. Strawberries were a bit past their prime, one was brown. And looks like a box of cereal has been poured on top, which wasn’t noted on the menu. Sticky chai was way overly sweet, everything tasted like it has excess sugar.

All style, no substance - great atmosphere, trendy interior. Unfortunately the food on offer did not live up to the decor. We ordered Turkish eggs, a cheese and tomato croissant, mud cake and two coffees. The Turkish eggs were good. Coffee not bad. Croissant was served warm but cheese not fully melted. Mudcake was very dry, bordering on stale. Queried with staff, they agreed it was not up to scratch and removed from bill. $50 for the rest and can't say I would be willing to spend again. Staff were very nice though and the place had good vibes.

I came here after a recommendation from a local colleague. The vibe and atmosphere were great, with a very friendly service. The food was fantastic, excellent portions and good value for money. It was delivered promptly after ordering. There were plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to sit and relax. I would definitely recommend this place.

Assembly is a lively spot in the heart of Braddon. It feels like a popular choice for locals. 🍴 The burger and chips were excellent – really good quality. Prices are on the higher side, but the portions and taste make it worthwhile. 🪑 The pub itself is spacious, even when busy on a weeknight. It was great to see so much energy, though many tables were reserved, so it’s worth booking ahead if you want to guarantee a seat. 📍 The location couldn’t be better, right in the middle of Braddon with plenty of other restaurants and bars within walking distance. It makes for a great starting point if you’re out exploring the area. 👨‍👩‍👧 Family-friendly touches like a kids’ menu and highchairs make it a practical option for parents as well. Overall, I’d happily come back here again — both for the food and the atmosphere.

This was by far one of our best experiences in canbera. We visited this place early in the morning for breakfast. The staff are super friendly and very welcoming. They have a lot of options on food items at a reasonable price and great quality. The coffee absolutely tastes amazing and they can even make it extra hot which is a good option in a cold morning in the city. They have a wide range of cocktails in the morning as well. The atmosphere is great and we really enjoyed our time. I highly recommend it to everyone visiting Canberra.

Assembly is a top-quality pub right in the heart of Braddon. From the friendly security at the front to the vibey beer garden and welcoming atmosphere, everything hit the mark. The pub-style feed was on point—my fried chicken burger was great, but honestly, the standout was the chips. No idea what seasoning they use, but wow… absolutely spectacular!

Always delicious. Always friendly. The back garden seating area is fabulous. And the breakfast cocktails are the best thing in Canberra. What’s not to love?

The breakfast menu is so disgusting and bland it actually shocked me. Ordered the breakfast burrito and I’ve never eaten a burrito so boring and gross to the taste, not even pepper and salt could save it.

My wife and I had a dinner and breakfast here during a short stay in the area. On both occasions the food was great and service excellent. Special shout out the the chef who did our steaks. Perfect 👌. Gets busy even on a week night, so be prepared. Highly recommend.

A menu that caters for a light savoury breakfast really well. Smoked Corn Beef hash on two pieces of toast, mustard & pickles. Magnificent. Add great coffee, speedy friendly service, and a supporter of other local producers, all make this a really great cafe

Good cafe in Canberra. Brunch here seems like a fusion concept of western brunch with Asian flavors. In find the food very interesting. We got mushroom & egg toasties which was topped with Asian Chilli oil. We also got cheese toasties with Indian curry in the middle. Coffee is decent.

Can taste the coffee in the mocha, sign of a good cafe. Toasties being nice and hearty is the cherry on top. Excellent stuff to start a day.

Nice ambiance and friendly staff but mediocre food. We had the chicken jaffle, sausage and egg muffin and bacon and egg roll. The chicken jaffle was quite bland and the underside embedded with black burnt bits from previous jaffles (indicating the jaffle maker hadn't been cleaned in a while) that we had to dislodge ourselves with our knives, the muffin patty was dry and lacking flavour. I was looking for the best coffee in Canberra when this café popped up. Although the place next door had better reviews, I decided to give this one a try anyway. When I went to order at the counter, I was a bit shocked by the service — it wasn’t the friendliest. The coffee itself was just okay, but the café has a great setup and is a lovely spot to chill in the morning as the sunshine streams in. If you don’t mind a bit of rough service, it’s still a nice place to visit.

Located in a quiet place - very unassuming. Inside is minimal yet aesthetic. An underrated gem in Canberra. The service from the staff was good (all friendly) and I enjoyed my coffee. The muffin was from Sonoma (from memory) and I liked it. My partner enjoyed their tea. Also got some of the house blend coffee to take away and have at home (which was a great way to start work for a good 2-3 weeks). A unique quirk in their cup - it had their branding (the eye).

Came here on a Sunday morning and whilst busy we got an outdoor table. Weather was great and we loved their drinks. The coffee is made so well and the mugs are gorgeous The bacon and egg roll was tasty and I was obsessed with their chicken Thai basil jaffle! Well done to the chef as the balance of flavours was just right!!! I have to come back for sure.

This is a great little cafe in Canberra. The interiors are wonderful, and full of natural light. The cafe is quite small, but it was easy enough to get a table. The service wasn't overly friendly, they messed up one of our orders and didn't seem thrilled when we asked for it to be fixed. I would come back if I'm ever looking for a cafe in the area!

Beautiful space, Canberra’s well known roaster. Clay is my locale but nice to come to the OG establishment. A bit disappointed by the decaf long, ratios on the more diluted end, hollow and not much to write home about. I’ve had good decafs so I think it was just the busy rush!

I was visiting from Melbourne and staying next door. Visited ARC for lunch as well as breakfast one day - both meals were outstanding. Didn’t get a photo of lunch however I ordered the Lamb - this is out of this world. Fantastic portion size and well price. Breakfast - ordered the waffles and by far has to in the best waffles I’ve ever had category. Incredibly soft and crunchy and all the goodness around it was fantasticly balanced. Perfect for a sweet tooth. Coffee and service was excellent too.

Really good coffee. I have been here twice and this will probably be my last time. The coffee was great both visits and the atmosphere is really nice. But paying almost nine dollars for a large coffee on a public holiday and being served by someone who had a smug smirk on their face while they are getting penalty rates was kind of disappointing. Smashed avo toast was really nice, especially with the whipped feta. Cafe has nice interiors and good vibes with lots of natural light.

Visited yesterday evening for the International Women's Day Dinner, celebrating Women in Wine. The venue was incredibly accessible with a modern ambience. Mr Agrawal, as Director of Food and Beverage, ensured meticulous attention was paid to the delicious food and drinks provided. All staff were particularly attentive and very knowledgeable about everything we enjoyed! 😀 I have stayed at the QT Canberra across the years. Most recently, Mr Hollow has been ensuring the standard is very high for the quality of service, and he should be commended for his management. Thank you all for a great evening, and I will be sure to enjoy a weekend at QT Canberra soon.

Our meal was one of the best we have ever had, it was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was the perfect experience for my husbands birthday, we will definitely be back.

We had a really lovely Father’s Day lunch here. The food was excellent, great wine and fantastic service. The staff were very accommodating to our son & it was a wonderful experience! Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful dinner the other night, highlighted by the amazing service we received from our Waiter, George. His menu knowledge and recommendations were outstanding and he knew exactly how to make our night special. He also had a very impressive understanding of wine which we were delighted to discuss with him at length

Jay and George were so amazing! Steak was tender and absolutely delicious. My friend had the lamb pappardelle and was exquisite. Absolutely recommend. Incredible! Drinks were also delicious and creative.

Had dinner here around mid May 2022 which was a very disappointing and led me to give some scathing feedback - mostly to do with the service and how a legitimate complaint about the food was poorly handled. However, I must commend the management, particularly Desiree, for their sincere response. They were gracious in acknowledging the faults and took my feedback on board. They were very accommodating to my partner and I, whom they invited to return for dinner and try their revamped menu. I must say our experience compared to the first time was like night and day.. We went on a Tuesday night and even then it was buzzing. Good if you like that kind of atmosphere but probably not the best if you want a quiet, peaceful chat. Anyway our host Jun was superb, providing us with a personal selection of dishes and drink pairings. The food came out promptly and the quality was exquisite. The scallops and king prawns for entrée were vibrant and delicious and the lamb and rib eye for mains were so flavourful and just melts in your mouth. Also the bombe Alaska dessert was...the bomb! Definitely changed our original impression and we had an great night. Thanks for the great service Desiree and Jun :)

I loved it, I ate very delicious breakfast, dirty eggs🤤. 🍳The portions of the dishes are worth it. 🤵🏼The staff is friendly and attentive. ⌛️You don't have to wait so long time for your food. It gets on time. 🧱I liked having breakfast outside, the space is protected by glass with wood frames, which makes it look comfy and chic. ✅I recommend it, for its taste, its service and the style👌🏻.

What a little quaint cafe in Canberra that also resembled the 60s. The service and food were extremely quick. Coffee was good! I ordered the French toast and it was very tasty. Liked the use of fresh fruit. Would’ve preferred a slightly thicker brioche. Also I asked for hash brown as a side. Make sure your specify on a separate dish as they placed it onto my coulis. Steak Sando was delicious however, the fries were too salty and the steak was not salted enough.

This is always our breakfast go to when in Canberra. Staff are friendly and helpful. Menu always has something different. The all day menu suits the whole families needs. Kids are all of their meal which is unusual when dining out. Got there early which was good, as it got busy when we were leaving. Miss the waffles on the menu though.

I got a simple scrambled eggs with bacon and mushrooms, and it was delicious. I really liked this place: was a bit nervous about sitting outside in their little enclosed eating space, because it was a cold day, but it was so warm in there, we were almost too hot! 😄 My colleague enjoyed his shashuka, and the service here was excellent and the staff were friendly. Would happily go back.

I have came to Gus twice. The coffee was nice. How ever the food is hot and miss, the wait sits you down with out even giving you time to look at the menu ask what you want, I said I need to have a look at the menu. He did this on both days. The food it self was ok but nothing special, the breakfast burger would of been nice however ,they gave me a old brioche bun the avo was tasting way over ripe it was awful,way to much sauce. Ruined my meal!

Very disappointing. Food all looks great, but really I think they're relying on reputation rather than actually producing truly authentic french pastries. Our experience was: The cappuccino was actually a scalding hot latte, the Pain aux chocolat was more pain than chocolat, and the biggest sin of all was the Pain aux raisins had no crème pâtissière! Great if you just want to eat a lump of shiny pastry with a few raisins. Not impressed.

It's okay, nothing special borderline didn't like it. Cinnamon scroll was crunchy and dry but the cream cheese filling saved it a bit. Without the filling that was a dry, dense, flavourless Pastry. Croissant pudding did not like at all. It's a take on the bread and butter but done poorly. Dry, flavourless and since it's made into a pudding the croissant looses it's characteristic. Wish could taste like vanilla or anything through it but nothing. Could sub it for bread and taste the same. Cardamom bun was nice, the custard was smooth and had a good cardamom flavour and the Pastry itself wasn't dense but 'bouncy'. Interior is nice and has pie options, maybe should have grabbed that instead of the pastries. Staff was okay.

We recently made a 2-hour drive just to visit Bakery Sonoma in Canberra, and it was completely worth it! This place is hands-down one of our favourite spots for a truly memorable treat. The almond croissant is nothing short of perfection—flaky, buttery, and generously filled, it's easily the best we've had anywhere. The Moroccan vegetable roll was another standout: beautifully spiced, hearty, and freshly baked. And the coffee? Smooth, rich, and expertly brewed—every sip was a delight. You can feel the care and craft that goes into everything here, from the pastries to the service. We highly recommend Sonoma to anyone who appreciates quality baking and a great cafe experience. Whether you're local or making a special trip like we did, this place is a must-visit!

The pastries here are absolutely delicious, but what makes it even better is the customer service. The staff are always warm, friendly, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Even though we arrived 5 mins before they closed! — brought it back to Sydney and my family loved them a lot. Will definitely come back for more.

we got the croissant bread pudding it was alright. the ginger lemon tea was very nice to drink with it and during the cold weather.

I came here pretty often, i usually get the almond crossaint and i feel like wanna change something else so i ordered the pain au chocolate ( chocolate crossaint) This is absolutely madness. I just bought the chocolate crossaint this afternoon. I got home and I used a knife to cut it half, seriously? Is this worthy $8? There is barely chocolate in it. Im not sure is this how they serve usually or they just forget to put the chocolate in it. I am absolutely disappointed and cant believe they serve food like this.

Awesome bakery and cafe. They have a lot of different sweet and savoury things to try, and made some really good coffee too. You can order at the counter or via QR Code at your table. There’s seating both indoors and out and a big window into their bakery if you’re curious. Try the croissant bread and butter pudding.

We came past and visited just for a coffee. It was a nicely layed out Cafe and it will be nice to sit outside in the warmer months. There is sitting inside and some seats outside the Cafe, looking at Mt Ainslie. The coffees (a piccolo and a small cap) were delicious and next time we will have to come for some food as well. The coffee came out quickly and was delicious. Thank you to the team for the nice break and we look forward to visiting again 😀

This new location is much better! We sat in the sun outside, which was nice! They have vegetarian options. The dirty chai was good and so was the banana smoothie. Overall, a good experience.

Hyped restaurant? Newly opened? But was plain busy? Regardless as simple as Avo toast was made as if Avo was squeezed out of a pre made tube, sourdough was not even toasted and the picture was us trying to find a better piece of toast to take a bite Coffee is good don’t waste your money on food

I never imagined I’d have such a delicious pasta at a café!! I was so full that I couldn’t order anything else, but next time I’d love to try their risotto or avocado dishes. 🥑

I had a breakfast of poached eggs on sourdough with a side of spinach and avocado. It was simple but delicious and the green tea was beautiful. Friendly, helpful staff and a lovely sunny location.

Decent place for breakfast. I had a large flat white which i found to be fragrant although a tad bitter. I also ordered a Reuben Sandwich. I found it to be simple and filling, and a hint of paprika added a nice touch of flavour.

3 1/2 Stars. Harvest, it truly is just a coffee cafe. If you are looking for a cooked breakfast meal this is not the place for you. They only serve toasted sandwiches and some muffins and other little options. They had no salt or pepper, which I found extremely odd for a cafe. The coffee had a lovely taste although it was watery and weak. Atmosphere is lovely, it gets loud when there are alot of public servants flocking in. Staff were friendly but looked a little lost at times.

Simply a wonderful cafe. Great coffee and one of the best Ham, Cheese & Tomato toasties I've ever had. No skimping on the amount of ham in this toastie. This is a gem of a Cafe that my daughter recommended I visit whilst I waited for her. Relaxed atmosphere, the staff attentive and no delays in getting served then waiting for your order. Next time I'm in the CBD I'll certainly make this A place to visit again

A popular coffee shop ina good location. meal options include toasted sandwiches and delicious muffins. We had the matcha milk tea special that was surprisingly good for a cold winter's day.

Wow a pretty flat chat little cafe! There must have been 40 people in here at 9:00am! There was a small selection of foods to go with a heavy focus on coffee. My cap was actually pretty good and there was reasonable seating for everyone as well. Worth a coffee trial if you in this part of the city!!!

Lovely quiet, spacious and clean cafe in the Canberra Centre (top level). Tables are numbered and order at the counter. Coffee variable but mostly good! Good selection of cafe style food with daily chef specials. Healthy options are available such as some interesting salads with the choice of added protein such as salmon or chicken. Plenty of sweet treats. My ham, cheese and tomato toastie was tasty but the ham and tomato were cold so next time I’ll ask if they can warm everything first. Mainly I love the fact it is tucked away from the hustle and bustle. June 2022: Have been back several times and the cafe is getting busier but overall still good service and I do like the salads on offer.

Nice quiet little spot for a quick coffee and lunch. Located in one of my favourite corners in the Canberra Centre, Cherry Beans has a nice small menu, great specials and good coffee. Haloumi bruschetta was really good - very fresh ingredients. A peaceful break from the hustle of the main centre.

Quiet place inside the Canberra Centre near Muji for coffee and breakfast when it’s cold and windy outside. Order and pay at the counter. Grab a number and wait for drinks and food to be served at your table. Food and coffee were good. Friendly staff.

Good mocha as you can see as well as a small but delicious pancake/crepe. Franchise nicely located on the first floor of the Canberra centre surrounded by many other shops and businesses. Has got some solid choices for lunch as well and gets quite full aroubd lunch time.

The chairs near the far end are quite unclean (full of stains); I inspected three tables but couldn't find any chairs in good condition. Additionally, I requested an orange juice without ice, but there was a mistake, and it was served with ice. I informed them, and the corrected cup was returned, though it was only filled about two-third. I did not drink it as I consider ice machines and restaurants ice unhygienic in general. Their special was too oily - haloumi was below average.

Gorgeous view and venue. Staff were friendly. The eggs florentine were good, needed a little more seasoning for my liking. The bacon and egg roll was as expected but hash brown was not crispy and a bit too thick. Lovely place for breakfast or lunch given the waterfront views. We were there quite early so there weren’t many patrons. I can imagine it would fill up very quickly throughout the day.

Is there a better vista to enjoy breakfast in Canberra? Not sure there is. This has become a bit of a favourite of mine. I've been here probably half a dozen times and it routinely hits the spot. The food is very good. Service can be a little patchy, especially when busy (well, I guess that's a given) - and they did miss a drinks order most recently. That said, the floor manager more than compensated by offering a gratis takeaway. When it's warmer in Canberra (please get warmer), the balcony is a cracking spot that overlooks our beautiful lake in the capital. Be warned, the magpies have found it's a pretty good spot too. If you're a visitor, duck next door to the tourist information centre. Coffee is up there with the best. Overall, Walt Cafe does their namesake proud.

Exceptional value high tea only $45pp - absolutely delicious! Better high tea than many I’ve had that were more expensive, scone was perfect & sandwiches fresh. Beautiful views of lake, comfortable dining space & excellent customer service. Parking nearby plentiful & free on weekends ($4/hr weekdays). Highly recommend!

A hidden gem ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had such a lovely experience at the Walter café today with a good friend! The welcome was warm and genuine, and the overall offer is fantastic. We chose the High Tea — a smaller version than the one at the Marion — but what an incredible surprise! Every bite, from the sandwiches to the scones and mini cakes, was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. Everything was done with care and creativity. Definitely recommend! can’t wait to go back!

We met for lunch with friends, so we couldn’t order a wide variety of menu items. We kept it simple with a chai latte, hot chocolate, carrot cake, and a chicken sandwich. The sandwich turned out to be unexpectedly delicious. Although it was called a “Chicken Lettuce Sandwich,” it actually included spinach, zucchini, and roasted capsicum. It was so tasty! The carrot cake, while enjoyable in taste, unfortunately did not feel as fresh as it should have been. It carried an unusual aftertaste, somewhat reminiscent of refrigerant, which detracted from the overall experience. One of our friends arrived late and, feeling quite thirsty, opted for a refreshing drink. On the staff’s recommendation, she tried orange juice with an added shot of espresso. The combination was unique and refreshing, though it may be a polarizing choice for some. Our friend, however, thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall, despite a minor shortcoming with the dessert, the quality of the food and beverages, along with the thoughtful recommendations from the staff, left a positive impression. We look forward to returning in the future.

The atmosphere is friendly, and the cafe has a huge space where is great for both groups and solo visitors. Be warned: the lunch portions are huge! I couldn't finish my pasta and had to take it home. ​Excellent service tops it all off; the front staff greet you with big, genuine smiles. Highly recommended!

Stumbled in by accident, now it’s my brunch favourite. Discovered this gem when Braddon was oddly quiet one day, and I’ve been hooked since. The space is fresh and calming with greenery, white walls, and soft, curvy nooks set the perfect brunch mood. The menu hits all the right notes, with beautiful plating and bold flavours. Plant-based? The chef’s happy to customise dishes for vegan or vegetarian needs. Favourites on repeat: Green Chilli Eggs, Magic Mushrooms, and Avocado Affairs. A feast for the senses, and the camera.

This is a small little cafe in the heart of the city. Food looks amazing on the plate, but is rather "meh" with flavor (if you can find it) and the menu is quite expensive. There is little floor room and tables a stuffed in there at a premium. I understand wanting to make the most of your dining area and covers, but lose a table or two so the it doesn't feel like your patrons have to dance their way through like a drunkard walking through a minefield. Service could do with a tweak as well. Staff are blunt (verging on rude). Like I said... food looks pretty on the plate, but serious lacks flavor. If I want to look at pretty things I would go to the gallery or gardens, what I wanted was a delicious brunch, but unfortunately, I missed out on that. Picture is Green Chili Scrambled egg (i think that was what it was called). No heat, no flavor... and I left half of a $26 meal behind.

i’ve been here a few times, but it was my first time being served by sunam (apologies if i have spelt your name wrong!) he was super lovely and actually remembered me from the last time i dined in. the food is delicious as always. service was quick and efficient. it was nice and busy for the saturday brunch

Overall okay, maybe just not to my personal liking. No table service as staff were busy serving the takeaway coffee crowd. I had scrambled eggs but wasn’t a fan of the uncooked egg remaining on top. Otherwise it was pleasant enough. I do like the coffee here.

Cosy cafe atmosphere perfect for a study session! I really enjoyed catching up and studying with my friend here. The interior is spacious and well lit, and I appreciated the subtle background music. I got an iced latte ($5.70), which appeared to be the same price as any other large hot coffee... It had a bold coffee flavour, tasted pretty good, and regardless got me through the study session. I like the vibes and would like to try their food some day too.

Friendly staff, quick service, flavourful, healthy, locally sourced food. I ate a bowl of sides, looking for a grain-free option not on the menu. It came out quickly, nicely presented. Potato hash was more interesting than I'd expected, too - maybe that was spring onion in it. Good coffee, lovely latte art (not always available with my almond milk preference, so always appreciated). (I had already taken a sip before the photo; it was even nicer than you can see.)

Lovely cafe. The coffee is excellent as always. Very spoilt in Canberra for choice around coffee, but Two Before Ten do tend to stand out. We had the chicken burger and eggplant toastie. Both were pretty good. Wouldn't say their chips were the best, but good enough. The staff were really lovely. Even though it was busy, they were fairly relaxed, so you didn't feel like a bother. I hope the construction work across from them is finished soon, as it would be nice to have something better to look out on! But they make up for it with lots of lovely plants inside. Would go back.

Delicious (but somewhat expensive) coffee, served in very nice mugs with a smile from friendly staff. Latte art was good too! Food looked good too but we weren't there for that so can't comment. We'll definitely be back to try the food, but hopefully it's a little better priced than the coffee.

Near the 'original' Two Before Ten in the City, this light filled space provides a great place for a quick coffee before work, and tasty breakfast meeting spot after a ride or an innovative menu of local produce for lunch. There is outdoor seating facing into an courtyard (Hobart Place) away from traffic, and inside tables for one to many. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and the chef does a great job of using seasonal produce in producing innovative specials on the blackboard, as well as the standard menu.

On arrival, they said there were no booking and we had to wait over 30mins until sitted. Turned out they cancelled wrond booking. Staff was unable to explain ingredients and flavours of cocktails jug. Never had cocktails in tea cups. Scones and bread were hard as rock. Served drinks and plates in low quality dish wear. Ceiling covered with dust. Staff ignored feedback and won't take any action. Don't recommend at all.

Stayed at Novotel and had dinner as well as breakfast. My first steak was requested medium rare but was a little tough. Cooked more towards medium well. Came back for the truffle steak and ordered rare which was cooked more to my liking. Panna cotta was good nothing stand out. Breakfast buffet limited options but overall acceptable.

Booking experience was good and window table allocated as per request at booking. Quality of food and presentation are up to expectation. However. we were sitting down for a 3-courses meal but somehow was rushed at one stage. We were surprised with the requirement to vacate our table at 8pm, having booked for 6.30pm start, allowing only 1 and half hours for our dinner. It was fortunate that our stay was extended, with service staff realised 3 courses dinner was ordered (plus drinks). Overall a pleasant experience!

$52 for a tiny rubbery striploin that is poorly salted and doesn't come with any carbs like fries or mash. I didn't receive a steak knife with my steak so I was left to use a butter knife. When we ordered fries the waiter forgot to put it through to the kitchen so we ended up receiving the soggy fries well after our meal was finished. Furthermore, water was not provided to us until we started eating our meals. To sum it up, junior waiters and tiny meals.

Lovely wait staff, management looked like they hadn't bothered to dress properly. Service very slow: ten minutes before a drink order was taken, another 15 to order dinner. Then the drinks arrived after another ten minutes. After another hour we left without getting our meals. Others were also complaining. And they had the temerity to apply a compulsory 10% 'service charge'. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

The booking process was easy as it’s all done online. The food was delicious. The venue was clean. The night view was great. The only suggestion I have is to possibly leave a bigger gap between the tables. I really didn’t like sitting so close to other people and watching each other eat. Definitely recommend.

Below average giggly high tea. We waited 10 minutes to be served and waited 20 minutes to receive our first drink. The food was okay but the scones were harder than a hockey puck. The cocktails were also okay, I wouldn’t say it was worth $70 each. We also tried to order more food as we were hungry but they said the kitchen was closed for regular food which was definitely disappointing!

We had a really nice lunch - the service was great with friendly and helpful waiters. We got coffee, a milkshake, a chicken burger and a steak sandwich. All very good - our only criticism was that the milkshake was a bit underwhelming. Overall, a really nice experience!

My wife brought me here for breakfast on the weekend. I was in the mood for a big breaky type of meal so I was a little disappointed with the menu. But I enjoyed what I ordered and I will come back again. The ingredients in urban pantry’s menu are well thought out, nicely balanced unlike so many other cafes that add avocado to a plate already brimming with rich, fatty ingredients like bacon and eggs. It was nice walking away without feeling slightly queasy.

I asked for scrambled eggs on toast, some avocado and a coffee. At $30 it's very expensive and I don't think it's good value given the tiny piece of sourdough that I received. I asked for a second piece and they had the hide to charge an extra $3.30. I don't think I'll be trying this one again. They didn't even offer to bring water to the table. Poor. A great way to spoil a Sunday morning.

Lovely cafe and a good choice for breakfast. The “Hot Cake” is my preferred choice and it’s delicious. The fluffy pancakes tops with cream and fresh blueberries makes the perfect combination. The lamington was also very good, fluffy juicy topped with coconut and some cream too. The avocado on toast was also very very nice for some savory taste.

Good food that came out fast- not exactly cheap. The poached eggs came out fast as did the hot chocolate. It won’t blow your mind but I was there for a quick meal and it hit the mark.

Always a fantastic place for brunch or lunch. The food is delicious, the seating is comfortably spaced out and not crowded, and the staff are efficient and friendly. Highly recommended for a catch up with friends or family and a lovely meal. The crab omelette is an essential!

The food is consistently good here. Despite the website listing that the kitchen closes at 3pm be wary of being refused food after 230pm. The AI service that answers the phone call also states that the kitchen closes at 3pm. This needs to be changes. The young girl was also not very friendly and definitely made me feel like I was an inconvenience.

Travel to Canberra during school holidays. Highly recommend chicken burger, so delicious. All flavors in the burger are well balanced. Chips are crispy and good level of saltiness. Friendly staff. All dishes arrived fast. Definitely will come back if we’re around.

In Canberra for a work trip and wanted whole food (veg/GF) and a pot of real tea! ☕️ An excellent find! The Funghi combo was thoughtfully paired with eggplant and broccolini and the Earl Grey tea with florals hit the spot. Highly recommend. Great buzz too.

Decent but underwhelming coffee experience Dropped in for a quick drink and snack, the hot chocolate was fine, and the Biscoff cookie was nice. Unfortunately, my small oat flat white (which should have had a double shot) was quite weak, and the oat milk didn’t complement the coffee well. Service and vibe were fine, but overall it didn’t quite hit the mark for a café that’s known for its coffee.

Wouldn't recommend if you're visiting Canberra. But, if you are see what it says above the window on the left in the photo and be prepared to stand there while the staff have a chat.

The coffee house for unique eclectic deco, a fabulous menu and tasty drinks. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and service was fantastic. This coffeehouse has so much character! The open kitchen, fun art work, happy staff and fun vibe. We loved the story and appreciate the delicious and tasty menu!

Rustic bakery with fresh patisseries being topped up behind the counter. We liked that there were options for a quick bite as well as if you had more time for something substantial. The croissants are sadly unremarkable, the tarts are alright. Purchased a baguette take away, it’s super long! Danishes looked tantalising and I’d be happy to give them a go next time.

Very busy joint on a Saturday. Some GF options. Got the chocolate espresso cookies and a blueberry custard escargot (not GF). Both well made and tastes fresh but my bone to pick is none if the baked goods are labelled with their price so you are operating blindly. My bill came to $18 for two items, I would consider it steep.

Very lovely people. It seems like a great bakery but I think I made a mistake and ordered something else for breakfast. The mushroom and toastie tasted good but was too oily. I would definitely try them again and this time go for the bread and pastry.

Came to this little bakery on recommendation from a friend. I tried the Florentine breaki, a coffee and a tart. The breaki was great, the mushrooms tasty but the egg was cold and over poached. The coffee was average. The passionfruit and marshmallow tart had no taste of passionfruit. They all seem to have the same custard base with just different toppings on top. My friend enjoyed his almond croissant and coffee. I will come back to try the fresh bread.

Good little bakery in a small town. FOOD: They don't really offer gluten free options aside from toast and a biscuit, both of which were terrible. Similar to gf things when they first came out, a decade+ ago. Definitely the worst gluten free food I've had in many years. Otherwise they do have a broad selection of sweets in the front counter: many of which do look really nice. Some of our dishes were hit and miss in flavour. STAFF: Lovely and attentive, especially given how cramped the place is. You constantly hear them trying to get through the tables and chairs and people at the front. DECOR: Simple, clean, modern lines, lacking character overall, which isn't necessarily bad. Only suitable for individuals up to 4 people mostly though. Not really suitable for kids or those in wheelchairs during busy times. They have blankets which is a super nice touch. The back hallway has had chairs put in to try and accommodate more people. It's squishy and looks like a hallway. OVERALL: With street parking out the front, and warm inviting staff, it looks like they're trying, so overall still a solid: good. Definitely a lovely little place to take a friend to for a pastry or take away sweet. I suspect this (versus the meals) is where they shine and would be 5/5.

Their signature french toast is the best I've ever had and I've eaten quite a lot of them! Perfect combination of flavours and perfect proportions of crunchy and moist! Definitely a must!

Quite a busy bakery as it was a day prior to the Easter holidays. Picked up some hot cross buns which were yummy, lemon meringue tart was nice but bit on the sweeter side & the crust was a bit soggy to our liking Silo Sourdough was nice & coffee was strong. Service by the young gentleman was very friendly & down to earth. Could use some brighter lighting indoors as it was hard to check out what was on display.

Bustling area with a variety of Cafes, and we settled on Patissez. Coffee is great, we like oat milk and their oat milk flat whites are spot on. The meals are very hearty and none of us could completely finish them. Food is satisfying, albeit the vegetarian big breakfast was a bit bland. Unfortunately we didn’t try the amazing milkshakes and sweet treat’s, which looked epic. Will have to return to try them.

A bunch of the other reviews say that they serve the freakshakes in plastic cups. First of all, that's not true. The freakshakes were beautifully served in glass cups, with the "Super Chocolate Fudge" having Chocolate drizzle, chocolate chips around the top and amazing cream. Anyway, apart from the freakshakes this place is amazing. Yummy chips, unexpectedly amazing kids cheeseburger and kids toastie, pretty good service and it was completely empty! Don't go to McDonald's, head here instead with amazing and unique food!

Been here twice and the tacos are really good so the price is worth it. The prawn and the fish ones are the best – very saucy and the relish really ties it altogether. The lobster one was okay but not as good as the prawn and fish ones. Definitely a messy eat though. There was a young kid who served our table, he's got great service skills.

As bougie as it gets!! Delicious & gorgeous looking food! We had breakfast here in the middle of the week. A slow start setting up tables for 7am but warm and cosy with the clear blinds down and heater on! Good coffee & you must try the CAGO freshly squeezed juice!

The friand was nice, not wonderful. A little dry. Came on a plate with nothing else, no cream, ice cream or other accompaniments. Requested an extra hot mocha, was just past warm. Vibrant, busy space, lots of people about. Tight areas about tables, might make it difficult for wheelchairs and prams to navigate.

Popped in for coffee and cake, as I've walked passed so many times walking my dogs. What a hidden gem. Its dark, moody interior is surprisingly warm. There's heaps of outdoor seating and children are welcome. A piano sits at the back and they have live bands in the evening at the weekend. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The cheesecake was delicious and the meals people were eating, looked great. We'll definitely be going back for an evening meal.

Occasional live jazz but, at other times, jazz classics through a superlative sound system. The playlist is relaxing & conducive to conversation, thought, card games & (if the mood strikes) writing. Outdoor seating mainly covered. Inside warm in winter; cool in summer. No wifi but phone signal good. Dogs welcomed at outside seating. Recently renovated toilets..

My review in 2022: Was so good!!! You can tell the staff take pride in their work and want to be there. They were friendly and fast. The food was delicious. You can order by the QR code at the table or at the counter. I would definitely go back. Probably not have the English muffin thing again as that was a bit heavy but the other stuff looked great! Milkshake was really good. 2023: Would I come back here? . . . Yes. Such a nice vibe and the staff are so lovely. We came for breakfast. I don't feel that The Sunday Morning meal was worth $26 and the Short Stack pancakes weren't anything to celebrate. But overall, I enjoyed it and would come back.

So many memories here. Back in the uni days, we’d sneak in through the side just to catch a glimpse (and a guitar riff) from what was easily one of Canberra’s premier live music venues. Tilley’s was iconic then, and in many ways, it still is. Fast forward 30 years, and it’s Sunday morning. The coffee’s still good, the big breakfast still hearty. The vibes? Familiar, comforting, like running into an old friend who hasn’t changed too much. That said, the service felt a little… distracted. Not rude, just kind of on autopilot. Let’s just say it wasn’t quite the warm welcome I remembered. Then again, maybe we’re all just a bit more jaded now than we were in the ’90s. Still worth a visit! Especially if you’re chasing nostalgia with a side of bacon.

Great local cafe for me with good food and coffee. My favourite breakfast is the ‘Avo on toast’ with poached eggs. Wholesome and delicious! It will keep me going a whole day. They have an impressive cabinet of artistically designed sweet treats to choose from but what I really love are the scrumptious Portuguese tarts which I occasionally treat myself to. Usually always busy and feels a lot overcrowded at times. Inside and outside seating available.

Definitely my favourite cafe around here! Their almond croissant is simply the best one I’ve tried in Canberra. They make fantastic coffee as well. My fave brekky here is the eggs Benedict with salmon. Such an amazing portion, taste and presentation. My boyfriend and I love to go here!

The food and coffee were both presented well, and tasted really good. I couldn't fault the coffee, but with what I paid, at least 2 pieces of toast would have been better? Other than that, the atmosphere was lovely, nice place to sit and relax on your own on a Saturday mid-morning. I will be back, so thank you, exactly what I needed after an intense chemo session yesterday to wash away the nausea 💕

Super busy on a weekday morning, but still received fast service. Definitely worth it :) Food servings were a great size and there was a lot of variety. Everything looked beautiful and was delicious! Outdoor seating was great as the heaters were working well. Will definitely come again!

Devilish Delight! The family went to Ricardo's Cafe today to celebrate and enjoyed there lovely cakes. We picked two of their cakes, two thick shakes and enjoyed our meal. Detailed cakes, very beautiful designs and very wonderful tastes from their creations. We enjoyed the hole experience and it was well worth the visit, even saw further dishes from their lunch menu i am going back for. Recommend to all you cake lovers, don't miss out on this one.

The juice of the day tasted surprisingly nice. For the slider we tried french toast (superb yummy), Benny (perfect taste), and bruchetta (nice and fresh 🍅). Nice coffee too. Overall, recommended place to go 👍

This place was a great find. Food is delicious. If you can't find something that suits your taste, you're not looking hard enough. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Service is efficient and friendly. The cafe is just a few minutes walk from Dickson Interchange, so that's very convenient. We would like to return for dinner soon.

A relaxed, easygoing spot. The lamb shoulder was tasty, though nothing blew me away. Loved the casual, laidback vibe and the friendly chatter of the staff. It's a good place to grab a simple, satisfying meal without any fuss.

Would I come back here? . . . Yes. The food was really enjoyable, the staff were attentive and it wasn't a loud place. The pizza had a great crust and fresh ingredients. The chicken dish was yum, though we wish it had a bit less liquid. But it was nice to dip the pizza crust in. That bread and butter pudding was sooooo good!!! It came with a luscious chocolate ice cream that just was an absolute delight to eat. Yeah I would want to come back and try the rest of the menu. The price was also reasonable and you got good servings.

First time to Trev's. Had a wonderful brunch. Love that you have the option to choose a selection of 3 smaller meals and a healthy juice for $25.00 .. or select your meal of choice for breakfast or brunch. I also had a great hot chocolate, was really nice. We dined with friends and we all enjoyed our meals. The staff were nice and polite. The time for drinks and meals to arrive was really quick .. and the food was terrific. Well done. Each of us chose the platter of 3 meal choices. Was so good.

I've yet to find a buffet where I've been super impressed by the taste and quality of food. I've been to many buffets where the food was completely inedible, despite being presented with a large amount of food. Some buffets don't even serve enough food, with strict time limits and food not refilled quickly enough. Obviously, you are expecting a more premier experience at The Promenade, and here the Hyatt delivers. The Hyatt hotel is beautiful, the service is impeccable. Staff are always helpful without being overly intrusive. The ambience is lovely, and I could relax a bit more as the night went on. The food is very good, but not excellent. I thought what was on offer was great, especially considering all the seafood on offer. The food restocking & turnover was good. There were enough plates, cutlery, sauces and everything looked clean. So in this regard, this is as good as you'll get for $105, it's worth it and a steal at this price. In the main area, there seems to be 4 discrete sections: Roasts and pasta, hot food and curries, seafood buffet and salads and antipasti. If you cross over to the next door, you'll find the dessert section. Don't expect to be wowed by the taste. The pork and beef roast were both juicy and tender. However, they were both underseasoned and undersalted. ( there's salt and pepper at each table.) Both meats had a slightly off taste. The apple sauce served with the pork was runny. I enjoyed the carrots and pumpkin side dishes, they were great accompaniments. The seafood was enjoyable. I think the things I buy at the supermarket actually have a fresher and better taste. However, this was the best tasting seafood of any buffet I've been to in Canberra. Again with the sauces, not particularly impressive. Eg. The mignonette was runny and too vinegary. The saving grace was the dessert section, you can end the meal on a high note. They even have a tiny ice cream bar. I gorged myself on tiramisu, pavlova and strawberries. In the tiramisu, savoiardi was replaced by softer sponge cake and the zabaglione is less eggy and more creamy. I think most buffet diners will prefer this version to a more authentic one. In fact, I think all the recipes are designed with this kind of strategy in mind. I can recommend the cheese wheel for an instagram worthy moment. Don't skip the hot food/curries section, it's actually pretty good! Take your time to savour the food, don't be in a rush, don't eat too much.

I recently dined at the Promenade Café in Canberra and, regrettably, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite the picturesque location and inviting ambiance, the overall value for money was disappointing, especially considering the $50 per person cost for the buffet. Firstly, the buffet spread was surprisingly small. For the price, I expected a wide variety of dishes, but the selection was quite limited. The range of appetizers, main courses, and desserts did not justify the high price tag. Many of the dishes were lackluster and lacked the distinct flavors one would expect from a restaurant of this reputation. The quality of the food was another letdown. Several items tasted as if they had been sitting out for too long. The hot dishes were lukewarm at best, and some of the salads were wilted and unappetizing. The desserts, usually a highlight at buffets, were equally disappointing. They seemed to be store-bought rather than freshly prepared, lacking the rich and indulgent flavors that make a meal memorable. Service was another area where the Promenade Café fell short. While the staff were polite, they were not particularly attentive. It took an unreasonably long time to get our drinks, and empty plates were not cleared from our table in a timely manner, which detracted from the overall dining experience. Given the high cost, I expected a much higher standard of both food and service. The Promenade Café has potential due to its lovely setting, but the current offering does not provide good value for money. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience. For $50 per person, there are far better dining options in Canberra that offer both a more extensive buffet and superior quality.

Overall the experience was nice but not amazing. The atmosphere is very nice and fancy, and the service was polite, however the food did not live up to expectations. The burger was fine, but for $30 I’d expect a little bit more as the burger itself was small, with a small bowl of salad or chips, not both, to go with. The coffee was not great, charging $7 for a small cup was what tasted like coffee from a grocery store, would expect a high quality restaurant like the Promenade to invest in good quality coffee and experienced baristas when they’re charging $7 for a small. The dessert was nice, and lots of fun to eat the wafer basket for the kids.

While the mains offered are fine in quality, the buffet suffers from a lack of variety. For the non-seafood dinner buffet there are really only two mains. In my case, I had beef bourguignon and Berkshire pork. This is in addition to other filler items like the salad, cold cuts, and a woeful pasta station where the overcooked pasta is just left to soak in the pan to get softer and softer with time. Being that there are only two mains, you get bored extremely quickly with the buffet, which is tragic for $60.

Wonderful atmosphere akin to Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel with the European fragrance in the hallways, whew! The breakfast buffet receptionist however was cold and impersonal (poker face, anyone?) as she took our payment. Smile, please! As for the food, it was sufficient yet overpriced.

Went for the breakfast buffet as a nice treat for ourselves. The food was excellent, and the service was so far beyond my expectations for a buffet that it was hard to believe. Special mention to the cafe manager Jamie whose attentiveness and professionalism elevated our breakfast into something truly special.

Sits by the waterfront of Lake Burley Griffin in Kingston Foreshore, Local Press offering a calm and relaxed atmosphere—perfect for a slow morning. The dishes we ordered all had an Asian-inspired twist. The salmon with pickled ginger came with edamame purée and nori—a creative combination with a strong Japanese influence, though the ginger was a bit overpowering. The crepe, made with turmeric, was filled with vegetables and topped with tangy tamarind and warming masala spices. The flavors of this vegetarian dish were vibrant and far from plain.

This place is in a nice location near the water. Breakfast is okay, maybe they try to make healthy food. The taco tastes good, and the prawn linguine is just alright. The drink is nice and refreshing. Service and staff are average.

Local Press Café is such a great find, amazing coffee and a really nice, relaxed vibe by the lake. Perfect place to unwind and enjoy a good meal with friends or family. We ordered the eggs benedict and the big breakfast and the waffle with strawberries, and both were absolutely lovely. Everything was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully plated. The coffee was smooth, rich, and easily one of the best in Canberra. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. Definitely a go-to spot for a cozy breakfast or brunch with a view. Highly recommend!

For those living in Melbourne, Canberra is always remembered for its differences. Especially with its weather.. Although Canberra has its own cool beauty at the end of September, we chose “Local Press Cafe” upon a special recommendation to sip our breakfast and coffees on a bright and sunny Saturday morning that we can call magnificent. They are different with their very authentic atmosphere, smiling staff, and presentations. When our coffees arrived, the delicious aroma that complemented all these beauties warmed us up with the sun. The warmth and presentation in the coffees are also worth applauding.. Really congratulations..

Food was ok and the view over the water is nice - the service let the place down. The food was ok- the eggs were not cooked very well. Biggest issue was dirty cups being provided and needing to ask twice for cutlery. It is disappointing when your meal arrives and you need to wait 5min before you can start eating.

Absolutely divine. It's so nice to have a whole foods cafe as there isnt many! The food looks and tastes amazing, and arrived super quickly! The vibes are cosy and the decoration is beautiful. To anyone looking for a wonderful meal packed with nutrients and love, this is the place! I had the breakfest bowl, loved it.

I tried the salmon and pickles with a matcha latte, and the flavours were fantastic! The salmon was really fresh and delicious, though I’d personally tone down the ginger just a bit to make it absolutely perfect. The matcha latte was a lovely complement—smooth and just the right amount of richness.

Today, 27th Oct, I went to My Cafe for the first time in ages. The only reason I decided to go there was because all other cafes were full. Based on my past experience, I was hoping for an excellent service, but I was hugely disappointed. When I asked this lady, who spoke broken English, she pointed me to a table and gave me a water bottle with plastic glass. I went to my table, and then she brought the menu and said I needed to order food at the counter. I ordered breakfast green, which included chopped kale, avocado, quinoa, asparagus, house-made lentil & chickpea patty with a lemon mustard dressing. I was excited about this healthy option. What I got was the last thing I expected. The lemon mustard dressing was very sweet and lentil & chickpea patty was deep fried, and the bottom was burnt. I scraped off fried and burnt bit and tried having the non oily bit. Overall, it tasted like cheap pub meal. Food was hugely disappointed, and the saving grace was their coffee. I now understand why not many people were eating there. The ones who did eat there were the unlucky ones who could not find a table at the other nicer cafes. Pity to see a Canberra institution going down the drain. Don't think I'll be back there any time soon.

Walked in for a casual lunch, staff were so polite and made the place a cozy environment. Ordered a chefs special of lamb shank gnochi and it exceeded expectations. Lamb was tender and melted off the shank while the red wine reduction was smooth and tame in flavour. The gnochi was light while generous in its portion size. For a cheap price point, the qautity and quality was unreal, couldn't recommend this place enough.

First time in this store. I asked for crepe with Nutella take away, and check in the photos what I received. Empty crepes with lemon and Nutella in a takeaway container. For $15. Very bad.

We three Brisbane folk came here for brunch. Service was wonderful, friendly and prompt. (We had a lively discussion about the election win with the young waiter.) We drank coffee, Coke and hot chocolate - all fine, just as you'd expect. I had a vego. omelette (very generous serve) with sourdough; the friend had avocado toast and hubby ate corn and zucchini fritters (with kasundi relish). All were fine, tasty and as you'd expect. So everything was flavoursome, generous and filling. Nothing out of the box, but filled the spot nicely. Cafe is in an interesting area. Lots of happy punters eating at the various cafes on a Sunday mornng.

Friendly and beautiful staff, I love how they smile all the time. The food is generally good, serving is quick, and the prices are reasonable. Especially good for groups because they have quite spacious seating areas, and splitting the bill is an option.

Came here for lunch and had the braised beef tacos, which looked good, but the meat was a bit flavourless. The chorizo and lemon meringue tart were delicious however. Also recommend the power punch smoothie, it has banana and peanut butter in it and tastes great.

Stopped by for a light snack before heading back to Sydney. The coffee was decent, and the sausage roll was tasty—though I couldn’t tell if it was freshly made or just a well-heated frozen one. The slight imperfections in the pastry suggest it might’ve been made in-house. The only downside was the orange juice, which felt a bit pricey at $10.

I ordered the Mexican Eggs in the gluten free option on 27th July 2025. One of the four pieces of toast was green and smelly. Accidents happen so I asked the waiter to check it out, figuring the issue was so obvious they would replace it. He went away with the dish to supposedly consult someone and came back saying it was "baked this morning" and was "supposed to be that way" so I got the same dish back. Given I had ordered Mexican Eggs and not "Green Toast and Ham" I didn't really see that dismissal of my concerns as acceptable. I cut into the piece in question; it was green, slimy, and smelly all the way though. I then took that to the manager and asked for a refund (granted). If the staff that prepared, checked, and sent back that food think it's ok to serve you have to ask yourself what else do they think is ok to serve to customers?

The Knox made in Watson is a beautiful location for a get together with friends and family. I often enjoy a great sized large coffee with a delishous bakery treat! Great coffee, great company. Will be back❤️❤️

While there are the classics of bacon and eggs done perfectly, the chef has come up with creative dishes that really are worth a try!

An absolute gem in the suburbs, Brett and his team have transformed this place into a family friendly, comfortable and delicious treat to attend. A Bite to Eat is a great local cafe offering friendly service and delicious meals. The venue can be a little noisy however the staff are always happy to accommodate seating for groups and placement within the restaurant to assist with low sensory guests. Parking is readily available and close to the venue. Pricing is reasonable, I frequently eat at the restaurant and would highly recommend.

A simple meal of smashed avocado, poached egg and feta on sourdough was beautifully prepared and presented, it tasted divine and was incredibly filling. Was there again a couple of weeks ago and had another wonderful lunch. I’d booked a table for two and on arrival found it was near the kitchen entrance. A request to move due to hearing issues was accommodated no problem. The staff are really friendly, food as always was great. I highly recommend people check it out for brunch/lunch but book ahead on weekends as it gets really busy.

Havent been for a while since my last-to-this visit had been so bad. Still, it's been a fave for years, so when I heard that new owners had taken over, I decided to try again. It's not too bad. Quality and taste of food was quite good, price was definitely on the upper side for what I got BUT my companion assured me that other dishes are quite substantial so better value for money. I'll take their word for it and try something else next time to compare. When it's busy, it's also quite noisy, so ask for an outside table if you want to talk to your companions!

Dropped into Doubleshot for lunch and tried the Southern Fried Chicken Burger—did not disappoint. Chicken was crunchy on the outside, tender inside, and the slaw + chipotle combo gave it a nice kick. Busy spot but service was friendly and efficient. Chill atmosphere, great for a casual bite. Will definitely be back to try more off the menu.

Popped in for a late lunch and the Acai bowl was divine. The lamb salad was also a clear winner with some lovely flavours and a very generous serve indeed.

Fantastic bustling cafe, busy almost every day of the week. Recently attended and sat inside, plenty of heating my only negative is the inside area is a little too cozy! With customers/staff often having to squeeze past you Food was delicious and service fast despite it being very busy. Cafe is dietary requirement friendly charging $4 for GF upgrade. My coffee wasn’t the prettiest coffee I’ve seen but also understandable considering they were pumping them out, taste was fantastic (all that matters) Staff are very friendly and helpful, the owner seems to take the time to get to know his customers. Today, I had a delightful late breakfast/early lunch at Double Shot in Deakin with a colleague. Let me tell you, it was a great experience overall. I ordered a smoothie and opted for the granola, and I must say, both dishes hit the spot! The granola serving was generous, and the taste was spot on. It had the perfect balance of crunchiness and sweetness. Paired with the smoothie, it made for a satisfying and refreshing meal. In terms of price, it was reasonable. I didn't feel like I was breaking the bank, considering the quality and portion sizes. It's always nice when you can enjoy a delicious meal without having to worry too much about the bill. The service at Double Shot was good. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our meal. It's always a plus when you feel well taken care of during your dining experience. Overall, I would definitely recommend Double Shot for a tasty brunch. The generous portions, delicious food, reasonable prices, and attentive service make it a great spot to enjoy a meal with colleagues or friends.

This was my 1st time and I had no idea what to order for breakfast and Omar said Breakfast Burritos well I am sold what a treat to the taste buds - 😋 Good old fashioned customer centric service. 17/8/25.Sadly today I ordered a coffee ☕️ and it got lost in the system I had to ask to staff members before something happened. It took 25mins for a cappuccino to arrive.

Classic Green Square Kingston. Bittersweet has been here for years but has changed management since the last time I dropped by. Grateful they were open on a Sunday morning at 7.30 after the launch of the balloons at the Balloon Spectacular. A treat of pancakes, which were good but a slight rubbery texture. A friend has the potato stack? Coffee was good to complement breakfast.

This has to be the stingiest veggie stack I've ever had. I pulled it apart to investigate as I couldn't believe this was meant to be a "stack" and it cost $23 lol! A 5 year old child wouldn't be filled with this dish so I do not recommend it. Another friend that has eaten here before found it too pricey for what you get. I can't speak for other dishes but management should review what they're offering if they want repeat customers. The pattie itself was tasty, the rest was bland/basic. Being outside was nice, the service was decent and prompt, hence the 3 stars.

I ordered an iced strawberry matcha latte and it was way far from how it supposed to be. They just put matcha and strawberry syrup in milk and stir with the straw in the cup and gave it to me. Really disappointed, i couldn’t have second sip. Iced matcha latte was in the menu and i just ask to add strawberry syrup if they have for the sweetness. Then you should have denied when I was ordering that you cant make it or serve. You guys served me hot first then changed that to cold. You just acting smart here instead of admitting and make sure to take care next.

Had an amazing breakfast with the family. Eggs were cooked perfectly and coffee was particularly tasty. Was puppy approved by Shelby as well. Will definitely be returning.

Bittersweet truly lives up to its name—in the best way! The food was delicious, and the cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home especially The MO:MO and Tea. A special shoutout to the incredibly friendly staff (forgot Name(dai)) who surprised us with a birthday muffin—totally unexpected and so thoughtful. It made our visit even more memorable. Amazing place !! Highly recommended!! Thank you!

Great spot for brunch. Coffee tasting offering were great. Could really taste the different flavour profiles between different coffees(wish we got more ona coffee in Adelaide). I had the aspen & autumn bowl for brunch but family all enjoyed what they ordered too. Breakie roll is definitely big and nice that it’s on Turkish bread. Turkish eggs and fritters and chilli scramble were other food items we order. All excellent. Service was efficient too. Only small minus about the venue is there is only one toilet. Will come back the next time we are close to Fyshwick.

We came to this cafe for breakfast. There's a nice mural at the car park so you can't miss the place. They have a good variety of hot food for breakfast and various coffee blends. Staff were friendly and explained the special coffee blend we ordered that was served in two cups. The coffee was very good and food was delicious with large servings. Eggs on toast and Ona roll were delcious. They also have a small shop and we bought filter coffee beans here.

Exceptional quality coffee. Each milk coffee that we ordered has its distinctive flavour and tastes very smooth. Ona in Sydney doesn’t taste the same and I’ll be missing it badly. Didn’t order any items from their food menu except for a few pastries - banana bread, cinnamon scroll and egg tart.

Raspberry candy latte tasting was a fun experience. I never knew that a slight modification in the brewing temperature affects the taste so much.

Great place to stop off in Cooma - never been before - would definitely return. Coffee excellent on a par with Sydney/Melbourne a little in the high price - but an expensive good coffee is better than a cheaper not so well made one!!!. Sit in or sit outside and watch the bustle of people passing by - must have BLT and a few chips - yum!

I had the Reserved Batch Brew and it was some of the best coffee I have ever tasted. It was smooth, rich, full of fruity flavours, and a mellow finish. The menu had a good range of food and it had a mix of indoor and outdoor options. The menu also had a mix of vegetarian and vegan options. This place is an oasis in the industrial feel of Fyshwick. I enjoyed it immensely.

After a very disappointing breakfast we had yesterday in Canberra from a different cafe, this place certainly made up for it in our time here in Canberra. The coffees were out of this world! I had the El Salvador experience, and I highly recommend it for anyone who loves their coffee in the morning. Accompanied with the Pesto Mushroom toastie, never thought I could be so impressed with something so simple , but the chefs really ace’d it. It was super tasty and is the perfect comfort food for a Sunday morning breakfast. But this place wouldn’t be anywhere near as good if it wasn’t for the really friendly staff. You feel welcome the moment you walk through the door. I highly recommend this little gem location.

While Space Kitchen's interesting cakes draw people to the cafe, the food is also excellent! We had a fantastic breakfast that came out quickly and was exactly as we had specified. I was particularly impressed by the cinnamon scroll french toast. Beautifully presented and very tasty. It was soft but slightly crisp and all components worked well together. My partner had the full service and it came out on a massive plate. Everything was well cooked and delicious.

Oh my gosh, what a cool experience! This place is buzzing with creativity, excellence and fun. We came for the Peach 🍑 Melba and stayed also for the fritters and bacon and eggs. The food was delicious, its presentation so thoughtful, beautiful. The service was top notch. We sat on the high eats looking at the chefs preparing the food. Like a well oiled machine these guys moved with fluid efficiency, all the while smiling and ensuring every dish was its artistic perfection. I couldn’t help but wonder who ever owned and/or managed this place had a vision where all the things you look for in an eatery come together. They should be so proud of the staff and of what they have created it was a team effort, delicious and we will definitely come back again. All senses satiated :) Thanks guys!

Revisited after years. Excellent service team, here for mums bday brunch. And the lovely lady who sang Happy Birthday to my mum as they couldn’t change the music in restaurant Thanks to you again. Quantity and Quality of food was exceptional. Some dishes like the green salad can be great for sharing. Poke bowl had amazing flavours.

Possibly the largest chicken burger I’ve ever been served. Nice flavour to it and the chips were good too. Coffee was also very good. Got a lemon blueberry cake for the road and that was also very good. Considering the serving size the cost isn’t too bad.

The food and atmosphere here are great. However, the service in the cafe is inconsistent. While the cafe interior is nice, the lobby area is not. We were also disappointed to find that the caramel cake we bought for a colleague's birthday was frozen in the middle.

Also great value for money - totally reasonably priced for such creative, abundant, premium offerings. I came here yesterday with my family and I had delicious calamari salad, service and timing they brought a coffee after meal was perfect. I really enjoyed my lunch there. So I decided to come here today with my family again. But they took my order wrong this time and salad they brought was a plane salad. Then they brought a salad I ordered which was a Greek salad. But actually it was the salad they brought me the first adding kalamata olive and few cheese, it wasn't even a feta cheese. The dressing for salad seems to be the same for any salad on a plate, it is a French dressing. I still like this cafe though, the Greek salad experience wasn't impressive.

WOW! Table service isn't Dead and not only that the Service was the best, the brunch enjoyable and I don't mind my Eggs Benedict without garnish that I have to pull off. Pricing is great over all a most enjoyable brunch. My Cap was ok but I like mine kick ass, Melbourne Def has Coffee down to a fine art although it's a nice change to have fresh over milk lab. Thanks for a great experience.

In cafe terms, Caphs meals are on par with other cafes. We had the Peking duck crepes, which unfortunately was overpowered by the Soya sauce. For mains we had Focaccia,Thai chicken salad and a Greek salad, which were all large portions and tasted good. The service itself was great, plus the Art Deco atmosphere was pleasant.

We found this by accident during our stay last week. It a so good we went back each night for dinner. Caphs has THE BEST fettuccini carbonara I have ever tasted. Great steaks and amazing Caesar salad. Brilliant service and a wonderful atmosphere. I wish we had a Caphs in Brisbane! Go there, you won't regret it.

Food isn’t that good anymore, i ordered Korean Fried chicken, it tastes like a fried chicken from South Asia, too sweet. I ordered an iced matcha latte but it tasted like Chai, i asked for a new one without Chai taste in there, however the new one came in still tasted like chai. My boyfriend ordered a full plate, the sausage was not fully cooked and we found a hair in the plate underneath the mushrooms. Really disappointed 😞. not coming back anymore even though the waitress is really nice tho.

Chatterbox is a great cafe. I go there on most Saturdays to have a morning tea with some gym buddies. We enjoy the atmosphere and the food. The staff are always friendly awesome too.

It is a very good cafe located in 40 Cameron Avenue. There is paid street parking nearby. Ordered a banana bread and a coffee. The coffee was good and the banana bread was well toasted too. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is good within the cafe. The ambience of the cafe is good.

Large cafe with a varied menu, serving a standard range of expected items. Food is excellent - not cheap but good quality and very tasty. Service is friendly and polite. Coffee is really good with several different beans offered.

Typica has great food and even better service. When my friend found her dish too salty, they replaced the entire plate without hesitation, even though the rest of us thought it was totally taste fine. That level of care is rare and appreciated. It’s a solid spot for a casual meal with a welcoming atmosphere.

Best smashed avo I’ve had. They put pomegranate, radish and other dried vegetables on top, and the result is a light yet flavourful breakfast. Service was also good and even though it was full, we were lucky to walk in and find a table. The only thing is that the coffee tastes like flowers and may not be to everyone’s liking.

I would love to give this place a better review, it looks the part but just doesn’t deliver. Both dishes we had for breakfast looked great but were full of flaws that unfortunately ruined the taste and experience. Also stay away from the earl grey tea, it tastes like dish soap!

I've been constantly searching for the best brunch in Canberra that is somewhat at comparable standard to Sydney or Melbourne. After nearly 2 years I finally found this one, definitely the best brunch+coffee that I've ever tried in Canberra!🥰🥰i came on a busy Sunday lunchtime but all the staff are so friendly albeit working under stress. The outdoor sitting area has generous heater which makes it very comfy on a winter day. Will definitely visit again!

If I could give the food more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! The Mushroom breakfast option was bloody delicious and surprisingly filling even though there's only a single piece of toast on the plate. The coffee was great and there was the option to choose your own coffee bean variety. Service was super friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back soon 🤗

Lovely little place with a very nice vibe and the obligatory hipster manager. Great, smiley and polite service from the youth. Online (web and table QR) menu is quite different from the printed menu, which is a bit odd. Ordered grilled chicken burger (via QR) and ended up with a massive deep fried version. Flimsy and broken brollies meant a bit of sunburn for our party. Still, recommended all the same. Edit: Quite a nasty response from the business (even though I gave 14 out of 15 stars), seems I touched a nerve. Progressive businesses welcome feedback, others just get defensive. C'est la vie.

One of the things my family and I were looking forward to upon moving to Farrer was trying Fox and Bow, one of the most renowned cafes in Canberra. From our old place, it could be a 30-minute drive, but now it’s a five-minute walk from our place. Our first time there, my daughter had a classic chicken and bacon burger and chips, which were quite nice. My wife had Spanish eggs, which she said were definitely among the best breakfast dishes she's had in any cafe in Canberra. But I have to tell you that the Japanese curry crab omelette will be worth a drive from any point in the ACT. Positively exploding with flavour, this omelette is inventive, textured, and absolutely unforgettable. A Must-try for anyone who loves crab. I understand now why Fox and Bow earned this stellar reputation. No doubt, this Farrer Café will be the site of many happy breakfast memories for me and my family in the years to come.

Located at 39 O’Hanlon Place, Nicholls, ACT, Australia 🇦🇺 A great little cafe. The staff were very welcoming and helpful to our group which included people in wheelchairs and other disabilities. I had scones, jam and cream. The scones were HUGE, maybe a little tooo big. I also had the prawn cutlets and chips. This was delicious 😋. My chocolate thick shake was so tasty. Every one in my group also enjoyed their meal. There’s good toilet 🚻 facilities, including disabled toilets. Plenty of parking 🅿️ also. The layout is great. Plenty of room between tables to manoeuvre wheelchairs. Would definitely recommend. Thumbs up!! 👍👍

We had a brunch at Cafe Injoy today. It was delicious! The food was fresh and flavorful, especially the chips and chicken. The service was also great – the owners were super friendly and welcoming. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the fish and chips, which seemed a bit off. But overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend Cafe Injoy to anyone looking for a good meal in Canberra. The deck with the koi fish is also a nice touch!"

Garlic prawns. I'm not a chef. But if you add an abundance of bland creamy sauce to anything with garlic, you're watering it down. There wasn't anything garlicky about the prawns. Equally, there wasn't any wine added to the tasteless creamy and very runny sauce. I'm not entirely sure what the plastic shard in the photo was, but disappointing to find it in the food. Luckily, it wasn't found by a child. The place is noisy making conversations awkward. You may want to display the WiFi password.

We were overjoyed to find out that Cafe Injoy was saved and now has new owners. The food was a great portion size and was full of flavour. Also the amazing chips have remained the same too! The staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming. We definitely will be back to make this our regular cafe.

Wow! Met family there for lunch in mid Nov '24 & the meals are amazing. HUGE, in fact. You could easily buy one meal for 2 to share. We had vegan bowl, chilli prawns bowl (they'll make it hot or mild) & barramundi. Huge pieces of fish - & half an avocado on top of the vegan & prawn bowls. Amazing value, the loveliest owners & staff, & a covered outdoor dining area next to the large fish pond. 2nd visit & can't wait to return.

Great service, great selection on the menu and special board. Was expecting to wait due to school holidays but no wait at all. Very happy and prices are reasonable 10/10
