The National Automobile Museum in Reno, Nevada is a must-visit for car enthusiasts and history buffs. With over 220 antique and vintage cars on display, the museum offers themed exhibits that provide educational and historical insights. From classic American muscle cars to European sports and racing vehicles, the collection showcases decades of automotive innovation. The museum also serves as a unique event space for various occasions such as corporate training, weddings, receptions, and special events.
The National Car Museum is a phenomenal destination! Even as someone who isn’t a huge car enthusiast, I was captivated by the impressive collection. Each vehicle is displayed with detailed plaques outlining its unique history, manufacturing origins, historical uses, and original cost. The 1938 Phantom Corsair in Gallery 4, valued at over $2 million as of April 2025, is a showstopper! From movie cars to race cars, emergency vehicles, and fire trucks, there’s something for everyone. This non-profit museum, closely tied to the Harrah Casino and Resort, also features an amazing children’s play area, making it a great spot for those with kids or grandkids. I spent over two hours here, and the time flew by. Two thumbs up for anyone interested in automotive history—you won’t be disappointed!

Wow! We were excited about seeing this place, but had no idea how encompassing and incredible the collections and it were. So many things to see. So many incredible stories. Cannot recommend the docent tour that starts at 1:30 PM daily enough! Our tour guide was excellent. Very informative and brought things to life in a chronological history. It was a great experience. You’ll need lots of time to explore all of the galleries. Well worth it!!!

Beneath Reno’s sky so wide and clear, The National Automobile Museum draws near. A dazzling world of steel and chrome, Where every car feels like home. From vintage rides of days gone past, To sleek machines built to last, Each gleaming hood, each polished wheel, Whispers stories time can’t steal. Elvis’s ride, a shining star, And racecars built to speed afar, Classic curves and engines roar, Legends live forevermore. Kids laugh and play, exploring all, In this grand museum’s hallowed hall, Where history and passion meet, And every visit feels complete. So come and see this treasured place, A shining gem in Reno’s space, Where wheels turn dreams into art, And car lovers find their heart.

I absolutely love this museum! I got married here in 2017. I now have a membership and I bring my daycare kids once a month! The new child's play area is perfect for high energy kiddos!

The National Automobile Museum in Reno is an absolute must-see for anyone visiting the area. Located downtown along the Truckee River, this world-class museum celebrates the golden age of the automobile with one of the most impressive and beautifully displayed car collections in the country. The museum was born from the legendary collection of Bill Harrah, the gaming pioneer who spent decades amassing more than 1,400 classic cars. After his passing, the community came together to save a portion of his incredible collection, which now forms the heart of this museum. The result is a stunning tribute to automotive history, innovation, and artistry — all under one roof. The layout is fantastic, guiding visitors through themed galleries that feel like walking through time. You can stroll past early horseless carriages from the 1890s, gleaming luxury models from the Roaring Twenties, powerful muscle cars, and even one-of-a-kind celebrity vehicles. Some of the most famous pieces include the 1907 Thomas Flyer that won the New York to Paris Race in 1908, Elvis Presley’s 1973 Cadillac Eldorado, Frank Sinatra’s sleek 1961 Ghia, and the quirky “Jerrari” — a Jeep Wagoneer powered by a Ferrari V12 engine. Each car has its own story, and the exhibits bring those stories to life with detailed displays and historical settings. What really makes the National Automobile Museum stand out is the people. The staff and volunteers are friendly, passionate, and extremely knowledgeable. They clearly love what they do and are always happy to share fascinating facts or answer questions. Their enthusiasm makes the experience feel personal and engaging, whether you’re a lifelong car enthusiast or just someone who appreciates craftsmanship and history. The entire space is clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully designed — perfect for families, travelers, and locals alike. Every corner of the museum offers something interesting, from classic designs to rare engineering marvels. It’s easy to spend a few hours exploring and still feel like you’ve only scratched the surface. In short, the National Automobile Museum is one of Reno’s true treasures — a place filled with history, heart, and horsepower. A definite must-visit when you’re in town.

Wow! We just had the best tour ever! Mr. John Plow explained, in beautiful detail, about many of the amazing cars in the museum and the history surrounding them. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and look forward to bringing more visitors back with us again.

Awesome museum with a gorgeous collection. The best part is their collection of Ed Big Daddy Roth vehicles, including the Beatnik Bandit, one of the most important custom cars ever made.
Jeff L — Google review
Wow! What a great collection of cars! This is a very well organized museum with not only a great collection of cars but lots of extras added to give each area a special feel for the time era. It was fun to see not only some unusual cars but also vehicles used in movies as well. We spent about 2 hours here and highly recommend a visit!

Museums
Nestled just south of downtown Reno, the Nevada Museum of Art is a must-visit destination for art lovers and culture enthusiasts alike. This accredited museum boasts an impressive array of contemporary art, altered landscape photography, and traditional Western art. Although it may be small in size, it offers a rich selection of both permanent and traveling exhibits that captivate visitors with their diversity.
It’s not very large but absolutely jam packed with awesome exhibits! Definitely worth the time to take and explore. The Ichthyosaurus exhibit is phenomenal and I felt like a kid exploring it. They have a cute cafe (didn’t eat; can’t rate the food) but it was packed and a nice sitting area in the lobby. Gift shop was reasonably priced for a museum.
Jamie T — Google review
Nice museum. $15 entry fee. Free parking. Gift shop inside. No magnets or stickers :( Not busy at all. The art inside was interesting. I expected more, we were a little bit bored and hope they expand it.

I was fortunate enough to visit while the Dorothea Lange exhibit was there, and it was incredible. The Judith Lowry exhibit was just stunning. The museum has been recently renovated, and the gathering spaces were open and inviting. We visited two rooftop areas that are used for events with a great view of the city and valley. The ichthyosaur exhibit was very well presented with the video, fascinating stuff. My daughter was quite happy with the plush ichy she got from the well-stocked gift shop. I was a little disappointed that there were so few people there. With such a diverse selection of exhibits (Langston Hughes, Aboriginal art!), where were all the visitors? Anyway, I loved it and highly recommend a visit. Patronize the arts in every city you visit if you can!

Great museum with very interesting exhibits. Friendly staff. Free with NARM membership.

They had an excellent collection of Dorothea Lange photographs, a brilliant portrait of Ella Fitzgerald by Beauford Delaney, and an impressive collection of paintings by Judith Lowry. I think other reviewers here have been harsh. I quite enjoyed my afternoon at the Nevada Museum of Art.

Walked from the airport on my layover. Totally worth it. I wish I could've stayed longer. The Langston Hughes exhibit was my favorite.

Observatories & Planetariums
Fleischmann Planetarium, located on the University of Nevada campus, is a captivating destination for families and space enthusiasts. It offers an array of educational and entertaining experiences, including hands-on exhibits in the Exhibit Hall, mesmerizing shows on the 10-meter Dome Theater screen, and a Science Store for souvenirs. The planetarium boasts a rich history as the world's first to project full-dome movies in its unique dome-shaped theater.
Small but excellent educational activity. Admission is only a few dollars and parking is free on weekends. I have elementary aged kids and this place is perfect. We can stop in, watch a dome show, and spend 15 minutes learning something new. It is easy to access, so we come more often and enjoy it more. I used to visit a large planetarium in Chicago that was impressive but expensive and an all day commitment with challenging parking. This community planetarium is simple, affordable, and welcoming. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful.
Daun V — Google review
I visited on Friday 20, 2024 in December. Small but out of this world. Bring the kids in your life and your inner child too. There’s (very limited and free) reserved parking across the foot bridge on the third floor of the parking structure. Snag a permit from the staff and be sure to read the signs to prevent a parking ticket. Apply those savings in the little gift shop to support the museum.
Seventh R — Google review
Extremely disappointing experience. The planetarium was advertised as free, but when we arrived, we were unexpectedly charged at the entrance - no explanation, just a demand for payment. Most of the machines and interactive exhibits were broken or out of order. Honestly, there was nothing interesting to see. To make things worse, the place was filled with random items that had nothing to do with astronomy - like a sarcophagus, Iron Man masks, and other bizarre decorations. It felt more like a chaotic storage room than an educational space. Total waste of time and money. We came expecting a meaningful and inspiring experience about space and science, and instead got a messy, disorganized letdown. Would not recommend.
Maria — Google review
I really enjoyed the full dome presentation, such a cool and unique experience! The space is small and cozy, which makes it feel really personal. The guide was super knowledgeable and shared so much great info. I also loved checking out the displays and exhibits. Overall, it made for a really fun and relaxing evening!

The Star Wars precursor to the Roddenberry awards for the best short science sci-fi film festival. This year was absolutely amazing. We had a fantastic time. The winner was MT Nestor !! the Star Wars effects were great the Director and host was fantastic. Everyone was very nice and costumes were had.!! The super tall guy in black, Lord Vader, was intimidating as usual ! All the films we got to watch were wonderful really all-around an amazing night!!! thank you to the Fleishman Planetarium at UNR!!

I’ve loved the Planetarium since I was a kid! It’s such a fun and unique experience, perfect for kids to learn a little science while having a great time. The shows are always fascinating and really affordable too. The kids have a blast with the exhibits and the gift shop every time we go. Such a great place!

Awesome place to visit if you’re into space exploration! The show presentation room is super nice, and while the exhibit area is small, it’s really informative. Plus, free parking on the weekends is a nice bonus!

The Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts is a unique and impressive theater located in downtown Reno. It features a wide variety of performances from ballet and opera to Broadway plays. If you're looking for an entertaining night out, the Pioneer Center is definitely worth checking out!
This is always one of the best theaters to see shows that is deceptively larger than it looks from the outside. They have tons of volunteers that help you find your seat and the seats are very comfortable.
Edward H — Google review
Parking situation is absolutely horrible. Most of the staff was nice. They will not let you back inside the event from the restrooms if there is a song playing and the elderly ushers will Naruto run at you if your phone lights up inside or you try to take a photo while you are seated and tell you to turn it off.
Sarah — Google review
I always enjoy my time at the Pioneer Center and am so grateful to have access to a quality theater experience. The staff always go above and beyond to make our transitions as quick and easy as possible despite how huge the crowds can be! All of Reno is thirsty for new experiences, and the Pioneer always provides. Some of our best memories are getting dolled up and inspired for each performance, and we'll definitely be back for more. Thank you for everything you do!

I remember back in the day my class from sun valley elementary took a field trip here and it was great I still have those memories to this day! Boy how time Flys I forgot what musical we seen but you should of seen all of our little faces and eyes back then we where amazed by the women and men performed on stage that day it was cool. When it came time to leave and go back to school we didn't want to leave at all and this place was nice and let us bring in our packed lunches and let us enjoy. Because of all these positive experiences I will never forget this place at all kinda brings tears to my eyes because how well us children were treated that day thank you from the bottom of my heart! I'm now 36 years old that's how long ago it was.

We attended a showing of the okay Juliet. The cast, musicians and everyone involved in the production where top notch. Didn't spend much time in the theater otherwise but do look forward to another opportunity to do so

A lovely venue! Just lovely. They bring great shows and embody performance art in every form! You will thoroughly enjoy yourself and the performances. The ticketing process is made easy and you can avoid the online convenience fee by simply heading to the box office to purchase tickets! Elevators for those whom cannot do stairs and well maintained restrooms and auditorium.

Located in downtown Reno, "The Discovery" is a state-of-the-art science and technology museum that offers interactive exhibits and temporary displays. Opened in 2012, it has become a popular attraction for both locals and visitors. The museum focuses on technology, engineering, science, math, and art. It features hands-on exhibits such as an anatomy experience showcasing how bodies function, a Smithsonian laboratory exploring invention and marketing, and the "cloud climber," an interactive area teaching about clouds and rainfall.
I love this place. It was just my husband and myself this time, but I would love to bring my kids and Grandkids here. Lots to see and do. The entrance cost was only 15$ per person, great value. Be sure to hit up their gift shop, it's got a bunch of cool stuff for sale.

I love being a member of this museum. I can bring the grandkids back anytime. Sometimes we are here for only an hour, others several hours and we bring a lunch. The first picture is my grandson almost 4 years ago, he is now 5. Watching him grow up in this museum and rediscover things here is so wonderful. He loves the NASA room and he and his brother (4)love the robotic rooms. Was the first time for the 1 year old. The boys love ,love, love the bubbles days and storytelling. Thank you for offering the passes that allow me to bring my grandchildren in anytime. Can't wait to start signing them up for camp! I do wish you had a place for us to put our lunch boxed/small cooler bags so we didn't have to run out to the car with all the kids and back in again. Especially when it gets cold out.

Nature & Parks
Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, located in northern Reno, spans nearly 600 acres and offers a diverse landscape including wetland habitat, pasture grasses, and mowed lawns. The southern portion features various facilities such as volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, a dog park, hiking and biking paths. Additionally, it houses the Wilbur D. May Museum showcasing an extensive collection of artifacts from around the world.
This is my favorite place in Reno! The arboretum is awesome, the museum is great and there are amazing events throughout the year like the balloon races and the dragon lights. It's just a beautiful place to be all year long! They also have beautiful gardens that are available to rent for special events.
Holly K — Google review
The balloon races is an event I loved taking my daughter to. Family friendly, things are a bit pricey even though the event itself is free. But it seems like everything is pricey these days. Still a fun event! We also went to the Dragon Lights this year. I'd never been before, but it was amazing! My daughter, my parents and I had a wonderful time. Lots of people and parking was terrible, but there is a shuttle that goes from the front of the event all the way out to the last parking lot, so that was awesome 👌!
Melissa M — Google review
This is one of the largest parks in Reno, and it truly has something for everyone. The park is clean, well-maintained, and offers several parking lots and clean bathrooms throughout. You’ll find covered eating areas, picnic tables, a pond with turtles and ducks, horseshoe pits, and even a volleyball court. The fitness court and workout stations along the well-kept walkways make it great for staying active. With a botanical garden, three playgrounds, a large dog park, and year-round events, it’s a perfect spot to explore and enjoy!
Freda P — Google review
It was a beautiful visit even in the winter. The museum is amazing! I will have to come back to spend more time. There is so much to learn and see. Photos don't do this place, Justice! I didn't post photos of the museum because air didn't want to ruin the surprise. Definitely check it out, not your average park museum. There are also dragons!! The staff is passionate, friendly, and willing to help teach.

The best about this park is Wilbur D. May Museum. A cute small but very interesting museum. Lots of play & picnic area in the park. The place is world renowned for its annual famous Ballon Races in August. Love its central location around UNR as well.

The botanical garden features numerous plant species from around the world, including rare specimens, while the 13-acre arboretum displays diverse trees, rock gardens, waterfalls, and wetlands.
Lovely place, with a rich history and a huge collection of artifacts. A super friendly staff makes your visit a pleasure and very informative. Go with a lot of time and check the amazing arboreum around!

I took my family. We did a scavenger hunt through the exhibits. It was hyped up to me as a major kind of museum. It is small for a museum but large for a rich mans collection of things. It's interesting and the area around the outside of the museum is very nice for a walk. We enjoyed it.

Dragon Lights are amazing! Nice little walk to see displays & watch the children & adults smile in awe of it! The only bad part was the parking.

Incredible story of Wilbur D. May, showcasing some of his vast collection from his decades of world travel. A very talented adventurer, song writer, rancher, soldier and artist this collection from other cultures he visited is worth your time to visit. We spent about 90 minutes here but you may want to take longer. Consider visiting here as well as walk the beautiful surrounding grounds.

What an amazing arboretum! The grounds are huge and beautifully kept, with such a great mix of plants and trees. Whether you’re a total plant lover or just want a peaceful walk in nature, this is the place to go in Northern Nevada. The staff is super friendly and really enjoys working with school and educational groups ,definitely a great spot for a fun science field trip, too!

The Wilbur D. May Center includes both an arboretum and an interesting museum highlighting the life of Wilbur. The arboretum is free to visit, except at night in the fall when the lantern festival is going. To visit the festival is a bit pricey. The museum is reasonably priced ($5 for a senior). We found the gardens to be peaceful and even discover the remnants of what rides that were once an amusement park. The museum contains numerous artifacts from the travels of Wilbur and a large number of taxidermy animals such as tigers, giraffes and other large game animals. I was shocked to see so many…… I found the story of Wilbur and his life quite interesting.

A well run children's museum with interactive exhibits. We saw the dinosaur exhibit and we were informed that the candy land exhibit is no longer occuring. Please call ahead if your unsure, staff is polite and the museum has a stamp pass for kids or groups. ADA accessible
Adrian B — Google review
I was not expecting such a variety or quantity of unusual items. The taxidermy alone would have been worth it, but there are extra cultural items like masks and weaponry that were just fascinating. The Arboretum is gorgeous and huge. Pretty sure I only got through some of it, and I would go back just to explore outside more. Can't recommend enough, any plant or bird lover would have a great time enjoying all the wildlife.

Idlewild Park, located along the Truckee River, offers a variety of attractions for visitors. The park features lush green lawns, picturesque ponds, playgrounds, ball fields, a swimming pool and a skate park. Families can enjoy picnicking or take romantic strolls in the serene surroundings. The park also boasts a stunning rose garden with over 200 varieties of colorful and fragrant roses that provide beautiful backdrops for photos.
We are blown away at the beauty to be found in this lovely park. Having been traveling through lots of desert for the last few weeks, this was a huge breath of fresh air - literally and figuratively. And the trees we've never seen before! Their pines, cones, branches and scents were out of this world amazing. We love talking long walks in Nature, and this had it all, something for all the senses (esp hit the Sensory Garden and the Rose Gardens!!). So happy we were staying right across the river from here and could go here as often as we wanted/needed for our outdoor therapy 💗

I stopped here for an hour with my family and our dog as we stayed one night in town passing through on our family vacation and we were not disappointed. This park is so beautiful and clean. I lived here for a couple years as a child and I have fond memories of this park, and I was pleasantly surprised to see it still there and just as wonderful as I remember it. I give complements to the city of Reno and the park service for keeping up with it, good job.

The museum features permanent exhibits such as 'Living on the Land,' 'Neon Nights,' and 'Riches of the Earth,' showcasing human habitation in the Reno area over the past 10,000 years. Visitors can explore memorabilia and programs related to Nevada's history while also delving into a well-stocked book store and an impressive research library.

Sign on door and online says they are open to public Wednesday thru Saturday 11 to 4. But guess what? THEY ARE NOT OPEN ON THESE DAYS OR HOURS except on Wednesdays nowadays, apparently. Sorry about that, they might have posted on the door to whomever may have ventured to learn a little Nevada history on a recent Saturday. What's the point of having a museum that says it's open to the public but isn't? Must be some tasty tidbits inside, I find myself thinking, as I compose this text outside the locked doors. Guess I'll head back to Circus Circus and squander a few more dollars on slot machines.

I'm an artist. I participate every year in early December one of the most entertaining and educational Art Shows called "History for the Holidays". This year the date is Saturday December 13, 2014. I so look forward to this exciting event all year long! I market Nevada stone pendants which I cut, shape, polish and wrap! Each one is unique. These are wrapped in Gold Fill, Copper, and Sterling wire that really shows off these gorgeous stones. I exhibit in many shows including the Reno Gem and Mineral Society shows. In addition, I teach Watercolor in Reno and have taught WC in Ireland. At this December show there is acapela singers that sing Christmas Carols. There is a delicious array of sweets and hot chocolate etc. It is always crowded and lasts from 11 to 4 PM. People look for my pendants each year. All the artists are professionals. See you there. Greater Nevada Field, also known as Aces Ballpark, is a vibrant stadium located in downtown Reno, Nevada. It serves as the home ground for the Reno Aces, a minor league baseball team. The stadium offers more than just baseball games; it hosts various local events and provides tours for visitors to learn about the history of sports in Reno.
I’m not usually a baseball ⚾️ fan but I really enjoyed seeing the Reno Aces game. The 🌭 hotdogs here are amazing 🤩. It also has a nice area park for kids to play. I will definitely 💯 come back and try more food. 🍲 The staff here are really friendly and nice. 😊 it was such a great experience.

This was an easy to navigate ball field with lots of service options. The restrooms were kept clean and rarely had a line every time I went. We attended two of the Banana Ball games with 10,000 people in attendance. We were in the berm. Security did a good job of making sure people weren't standing at the fence, so the view was never blocked.

Gr8 park, I am a big fan of intimate games. Parking for the game sucks. Eric the president of the Aces and friends with the owner is ruining the park. So anti social, almost uncomfortable in his own skin. Poor choice, is my opinion.

A great little ballpark. Big enough to accommodate the attendees but intimate enough that it feels like a family outing. The digital displays are sharp and easy to read from anywhere in the stadium. The field lights are bright and disperse the light well throughout the stadium. Lastly, the staff works very efficiently, from the concession stands, ushers, and field workers. The whole team works well and provides visitors with a fantastic experience.

Bowling alley
The National Bowling Stadium in Reno, NV is a top-notch bowling megaplex that offers something for everyone. It features 78 tournament-quality lanes, including 10 family-friendly ones and a theater area with seating for 172 people. The stadium's iconic architectural design includes a grand stainless steel geodesic dome, earning it the nickname "The Taj Mahal of Tenpins."
Definitely worth a visit, even if you (like me) couldn't care less about bowling! My train was 4 hours late so I wandered in, laughing to myself: "What could a bowling stadium* possibly look like!". The minute I walked through the front doors, I wasn't laughing anymore! Even the lobby is impressive, with three-story stairwells and escalators assending to the left AND right. As you ascend, the walls are covered with pictures of all the bowling greats. When you get to the top, you're greeted with what I would describe as the nicest bowling alley I've ever seen, on steroids! Too many lanes to count, so I asked somebody. He responded: "78 up here and 10 more downstairs.". As you'll see if you watch the video**, they were preparing for the USA team trials, and the young contestants were drifting in. Adjacent to the lobby is a bowling museum that would make any sport proud. * My only disappointment was that the description of stadium seems a little grandiose. The seating is apparently tucked away upstairs, in the rear. So much so, that I missed it! **Recorded panoramic video of the lanes and the museum, but found out Google doesn't allow it for reviews.
Bill D — Google review
This expansive and impressive facility features numerous lanes across multiple floors. All staff encountered were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The convenient, attached, and complimentary parking garage is a significant advantage. However, the limited food and beverage options warrant a four-star rating instead of five. Competitive establishments provide a broader selection and designated dining areas. Furthermore, while ample seating exists across two floors, increased stadium seating on the lower level, closer to the lanes, would enhance the experience during events.
Enrique S — Google review
Fascinating bowling venue in downtown Reno. You cannot call this a bowling alley because it’s huge with 70 lanes. There are 5 floors with food, drinks, and a pro shop that rivals golf pro shops. A spectacular facility that hosts tournaments practically weekly. The staff are exceptional people as well as security, concessions, and tournament personnel. Keith in the pro shop is very knowledgeable and gives in depth advice about bowling balls, accessories, and bowling techniques. This stadium is a must for all that love the game of bowling!

This was such a fun field trip. I was bummed that the museum wasn't open as I was really looking forward to seeing the memorabilia. That just means I will have to go again. Great experience.

The National Bowling Stadium is an impressive facility that boasts state-of-the-art amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. The venue is clean and brand new, with sleek modern design and comfortable seating. The lanes are well-maintained and offer an excellent bowling experience for all skill levels. The photography staff is exceptional, always ready to capture memorable moments and provide high-quality photos. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, making the entire experience enjoyable. The facility also has an excellent selection of food and drinks, making it a great place to spend time with friends and family. Overall, the National Bowling Stadium is a must-visit for anyone who loves bowling and wants to have fun in a clean and modern environment. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a great time and a memorable experience. The tournament wraps up July 24th!

I've only been here twice (2024 & 25), and I have enjoyed myself both times. Bowled a 3 day tournament (fri, sat, sun) in the Reno Invitational (a 3 separate weekend event). Gina, your tournaments always ROCK! The waitress did not accept cash, credit cards only. Clean restrooms, plenty of stalls, and a couple of single family restrooms as well. NBS thank you for the lovely hospitality and see you again in 2026 if not before. P.S. a great place to have your company, family, and birthday parties at...👍🏾
Andre W — Google review
Beautiful and huge! Bowling alley has 78 lanes. Great for the USBC Tournaments. Gave only 4 stars because you don't want to bowl in the lanes at th end. We biwled our Doubles and Singles on 75/76 and it was SUPER HOT!! There aren't a/c vents at the end. I was so hot I asked if they had a fan for us....not one available. The guy even commented on how hot it was there. I about passed out. And I had a small fan. My last game out of 6 was an 88.....I just wanted to get out of there. Cooler outside.
Mandy B — Google review
I bowled here for the 2023 nationals and it was a great facility. Everything there was very nice and well kept. The lanes were great. The one complaint I have (and it is borderline taking a star off) was that they stopped selling alcohol at 9:30PM. Considering the last shifts of the day started at 9:30PM, that didn't seem too smart. I'm sure I'll be back for future events.

Located along the picturesque Reno Riverwalk in Downtown Reno, stands a stunning and serene church that is a feast for both the eyes and the soul. Nestled by the immaculate Truckee River, this refined cathedral provides an ideal environment to explore one's inner spirituality. Serving as the principal place of worship for the Roman Catholic Diocese in Reno, this magnificent structure has withstood significant challenges, including near destruction by fire.
My experience is a bit different, I have been displaced ...alone. Bur am i? No, God is real and alive and when the bells rings my heart does sing. I adore this church, all church Cathedrals what have you.My former pastors wife's mother ceremony was here many years ago. Please, more time for confession. Kindly I ask the father to stay until everyone in line has had the chance to confess, as we come seeking reconciliation with Jesus. We have come with open hearts and great hope for this sacrament, and it is important for all of us to receive the grace of confession. Many of us arrived early and waited patiently, in the line, and we kindly ask for the opportunity to be confessed.

Older priest refused to absolve my sins with correct words. I asked him to twice and he walked away. He used "I forgive you" and "May God absolve you". Incorrect form invalidates the sacrament and is a sacrilege. And they wonder why people just give up and go to the SSPX. This is the second time in this diocese the priest has refused to use the correct form.

Amazing exhibit. I am not even that fascinated by rocks and found myself caught up in the informational displays. Make sure to to give yourself about 1 to 2 hours. It is found in the building behind the statue of John William MacKay. I say this because there's no indication of the exhibit from the outside it seems to be a library.

Really enjoyed this museum. Visitor parking was a little non-intuitive, but I followed the helpful instructions on the museum website and parked on the first floor of the University & 9th Street parking garage for the hourly parking. I wish the glass panes on the display cases were a bit less dusty to fully enjoy this beautiful collection. I took my time and learned a lot. Hours are a bit limited during the week. Perhaps best to visit on weekends. Great spot for geology nerds and possibly patient children who like shiny rocks. Ask your gamer kid to point to the rocks they may have mined in Minecraft or Runescape :)
Castane G — Google review
If you think you are the kind of person that might like a Mineral Mining & Engineering Museum, then you should go here. Everything a good museum should be with lots of physical artifacts rather than just placards. I especially liked the 3d model of the West End mine - something you need to see in person. Also a giant ingot of blister copper that you can touch and (try to) pick up. And a 10 foot tall giant topo map of Nevada (with place names frozen in time 100 years ago). You can't get this stuff from a book or Wikipedia article. It is also a beautiful space, and completely empty when I went.
Josh L — Google review
If you're into local Nevada geology and general history, and you have some spare time in your hands, this museum is definitely worth a visit. However, it's damned hard to find. You're best bet is to look for the statue at the end of the quad; the building you're looking for is directly behind the statue. The pictures included in this review show the building and the plaque on the outside of the building next to the front doors.

This post is rating the campus ambiance, not the actual educational opportunity. The campus is beautiful, high tech, and provides a lot of extra curricular activities. They are home to the Nevada Wolfpack football team, so students can catch the game with their friends on a Saturday night. There are also a lot of on campus shops for food, coffee, etc. such as, Starbucks, Panera Bread, Panda Express, Mexican food, sushi, cheeseburgers, and more. It’s a campus worth looking at and provides a strong sense of community.

The Virginia St Bridge has a rich history, with the first construction dating back to 1860. After facing safety and flood concerns, the previous iteration was demolished in 2016. The new bridge continues the tradition of providing a crossing over the Truckee River for Virginia Street. Built in 1905 by Cotton Brothers and Company, it is the oldest functioning bridge in Reno and one of Nevada's earliest reinforced concrete bridges.
I should have posted this in June, but forgot We travel to Reno and Tahoe frequently, but our favorite times are the winter and spring. This winter was spectacular for snow, and the snow melt filled the river in downtown Reno. It is a great park just to soak up sun, enjoy the sounds of the river and the sound of laughter, and basketball players on the playground. Bring a box lunch and enjoy. An ever evolving downtown. 5

The museum boasts indoor exhibits featuring a diverse array of artifacts and materials, as well as expansive outdoor displays including railroad-related items like a Chinese-built bridge and memorial, a steam engine, and Pullman car. Visitors can also snap photos next to the iconic 'Last Chance Joe' statue.
A nice little museum that is walking distance from the Nugget. Great distraction for an hour or two that has a great selection of historic Sparks items and memorabilia. Lots of items about the train lines across the region and how this developed Reno/Sparks into the towns they are today. Walking distance from the Nugget Casino and well worth your time to visit.

Honestly, we didn't actually go inside but on the day we visited (which was a Saturday) they had some cool old-school fire and police vehicles on display out front and the super cool volunteers even let ErisEsoterica play with the sirens and ring the bell on the fire truck!

RODEO!!! Growing up in the suburbs of Detroit, I had no idea what a rodeo was and what type of events are involved with the rodeo. After moving here in Jan 2022, all I heard about was the Reno Rodeo on the radio and TV. I had to see what this "rodeo" thing is all about. All I can say is WOW. This is my 4th year in a row attending this awesome and entertaining event. I am enamored with the spectacle of all the events but mostly in the athleticism and talent that these cowboys and girls need to have. Lets not forget how well these horses are trained to do their thing too. They are all literally amazing! From roping steers to barrel racing, riding bulls to wrestling steers, it is all amazing to watch, especially from a suburbanite! The entire Rodeo week has so much to offer the Reno area and we can be proud of such a fun and entertaining event. With something for everyone, there's the carnival rides for the kids, vendors to buy all your western gear and tack, beer tents, dancing and the list goes on. The Reno Rodeo Association does a bang up job wrangling all the members and volunteers to make this wonderful event roll each day like a smooth mechanism. I will be attending for year's to come.

The shop here is terrible and really lacks any sensible customer service. Ordered a womens jacket. They sent me a mens saying: "It's been crazy busy here." Then they said they could exchange it. My mom had to drive all the way up there to talk to the person. Then when my mom told the person that I didn't like the color (because they didn't have a photo of the actual product on the site) they tried to convince her to buy another jacket. Ended up returning it, said I'd get a refund, yet they kept the 15 dollars shipping which was absolutely unnecessary due to me being in Carson City and "priority shipping BS" only took a day. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE!!! THEY WILL TAKE IT AND JUST MAKE EXCUSES. REALLY REALLY WISH I WOULD GET MY 15 FREAKING DOLLARS BACK. SCAMMERS.

The Lake Mansion Arts and Cultural Center is a historical home in Reno, built in 1877 by W.J. Marsh and later sold to Myron Lake in 1879. It holds significance as it's linked to the city's early settlement history. The mansion hosts events like the Youth Art Month Family Festival, offering hands-on art creation stations, face painting, tours of the historic mansion, and an art exhibit featuring children's artwork from local schools.
The ghost tour was pretty cool ... the story behind this house is even better !!

Both of my children attend art classes at school, and unfortunately, the experience has been disappointing. I could easily provide them with materials for drawing or modeling and discuss creative topics at home without any cost. I expected these lessons to offer real instruction. When I asked my children if their teacher ever showed them how to draw, they could only recall one instance from the previous course when they drew a sunflower. That particular drawing is lovely and proudly displayed on our fridge, but it seems like a rare exception. Perhaps I’m missing something about the teaching approach to art, but to truly learn to draw, children need more structured guidance from the teacher, not just freeform drawing without any direction.

We rented the Pavilion for a baby shower on April 23rd, 2022. The space was perfect! Melanie was super easy to work with from giving a tour, to picking up the key to check out. This was a great event center to host a gymnastics meet. The people there were nice, the event center itself was clean, great equipment, great judges and athletes, and great atmosphere and temperature of the gymnasium overall. The seating was also comfortable and the medals they gave out were cool. They also had great merchandise and a company that can give you some great photo shoots during the meet. The cost to enter in wasn’t that bad either, at $35. Overall, we liked spending time at the Senior Level 9 session here. Highly recommend this place to check out a cool event here!

Nice area the floor seats are very small and tight. I know they want to pack in as many people as possible but a little space between seats would be nice especially for the price you pay. And someone directing traffic to the parking garage would be nice
Larry R — Google review
We visited the Reno Events center yesterday for Disney on Ice. The positive is that most seats had a pretty good view of the performance. The temperature inside was not too hot or too cold. The main reason for my low review was the water policy. I was told that I couldn't even bring an empty water bottle to full up. At least airport security let's people bring in an empty one. Reno Aces allows a sealed purchased bottle of water. Reno Events Center policy forces people to have lots of plastic waste for an event and pay money for water. There was at least one drinking fountain near the restroom, but it's hard to leave your seats during a show to get enough water. I would have also appreciated to bring at least an energy bar per person. The concession line was very long and I didn't see anything vegetarian beyond fries. My kiddo and I were quite hungry by the end. I would have bought him a pretzel at intermissions, but we would have missed part of the show due to the long line. I think access to water should be available for all shows, but denying water and snacks to a show geared for young children seemed particularly wrong. I would like to bring my kiddo to Sesame Street live, but will skip that now that I know the Events' Centers policies.
Suzanne L — Google review
It was a very good concert we saw Tyler Hubbard and I liked it, because it's all on one floor and it's a small venue and you didn't miss anything at the show. Even if you stepped out to get a drink or used the restroom, you can still hear it and the people that worked. There were very, very friendly.

Awesome concert last night. The Hits Deep Tour is what's up! So fun and such high energy. Great stage and audience engagement. Maybe more personnel to help you find seats when it's dark tho. And parking for events is pretty limited. We spent 30 minutes (which was 30 minutes before concert start time) looking for a spot. Ended up at the Sands (the lot across the street fills quickly). Then had to wait another 20 minutes to get in.

First time at the Meadowood mall, which is surprising, considering I’ve been in Reno frequently. I’ve heard the mall used to look at lot more retro, nowadays it’s been renovated to take on a more modern mall theme… food court still held some of it’s old looks, which I enjoyed seeing. There was a variety of stores, and frankly the mall felt very open, so it was easy to navigate. I found there to be a lot of good deals on styles in stores like Aeropostale, American Eagle, and Express. I was quite surprised to see how busy the mall was, considering malls have seen a severe turnover due to online shopping, overall though, I had a great experience at the Meadowood mall.

⭐️⭐️⭐☆☆ Meadowood Mall is a dependable, mid-sized shopping destination that hits many of the basics. With around 125 retailers and restaurants under one roof, you’ll find standard mall fare—clothing stores, electronics, accessories, and a food court full of options. What works well: Convenient layout & parking: The open, single-story design makes navigation easy, and parking is ample and accessible. Good anchor variety: Major stores like JCPenney, Macy’s, and Dick’s Sporting Goods keep the mall relevant and draw in a steady crowd. Food & dining options: The food court offers several fast food choices, and there’s a full-service option (Cheesecake Factory) for when you want something

Nestled in the heart of downtown Reno, the Second Judicial District Court, also known as the Washoe County Courthouse, stands as a testament to early 20th-century architecture. Designed by Frederic DeLongchamps and completed in 1911, this Beaux-Arts masterpiece features grand columns and an impressive dome that evoke a sense of nostalgia reminiscent of iconic structures found in Manhattan.
I don’t have any experience with the staff here. Whenever I pass through downtown, this magnificent historic structure reminds me of the good old days of mighty America. I compare it with the monumental buildings of Manhattan downtown. This place of Reno is, my Reno Manhattan. However the reviews reveal, the system inside not as magnificent as the building. I request the staff, to be patient to the public, whoever comes in here will come with problems. All may not get orders in their favour for sure. At least if they get some solace with the procedure and behaviour, we’ll be some consoling. Near to all facilities, and good parking adjacent, this buildings stands unique.

In 1979 I went to court for my divorce proceeding. I was in court with my attorney. Fast forward to now 2025. I tried to locate a copy of my divorce decree on line but unsuccessful. No one can seem to find the record. Was told to try an e-mail. Ha, ha, ha. This must be some of the most inept group ever. I has better luck with getting a document from Oakland, Ca. This place is a joke.

First time listening to Probate Court. Available only by phone, only on Wednesday, assuming you have good hearing. The online case calendar has absolutely nothing to do with cases that may be heard. I was interested in a real estate case, which was listed as taking place today, but wasn’t on the docket and other cases were heard that weren’t in the Calendar. So there’s obviously some privy calendar containing all sorts of cases, but it is not public. Today’s 1pm judge spent over an hour talking about an 80 year old man, who wasn’t present, but is alive and is having revocable trust problems associated with a reverse mortgage I guess , which could cause his home to go into foreclosure in the next week. The immediate issue WASNT the foreclosure, it was about privacy. 80 year old man has enough money to hire a lawyer, but not enough to pay his property taxes. Judge was inordinately concerned about foreclosure, although representatives of the mortgage company, PHM, were not there, and lawyers seemed not too concerned. The Court reminds me of something out of Green Acres, where everyone but the cast knows it is a farce.

Who's ever brilliant idea it was to invent that stupid Eflex, is an A$$hole, why is it so hard to file documents? The court acts like everyone filling has law experience and should know what or how the documents need to be placed. It would be easier to file all the documents together and the lovely clerks who get paid to be clerks, should then disburse those to the correct judge. I HATE this filling system and feel like its just a way to set people up to fail. Yes there are appointments you can make to train on this, however that isn't altered to your specific case. still confusing with training. Waste of money and discourages people into trying to change their lives or children's lives by making it EXTREMELY difficult to do correctly.
Toni D — Google review
I’m not one to post any reviews, however I feel I have to post a review to express how poorly the girls treat the people that go in there. I understand there has to be a certain level of professionalism as well as them distancing themselves from people and their cases, but these people are the absolute worst! I went in being nothing but nice and polite, as I understand their jobs are difficult especially with some of the day to day people they encounter, and they were absolutely rude and acted like every little thing I asked was an inconvenience for them. Horrible horrible experience for an already intimidating process!

I got a reckless driving my senior year of highschool. I plead no contest. Fines, drivers Ed classes were administered by judge, all paid for and taken by me. I just got a letter in the mail saying the court intends to issue a warrant for my arrest because I did not comply with the rules of my sentencing. I am now a college student living in a different state.I can’t just walk into the courthouse. You would think a simple call should be able to resolve an issue like this but the courthouse has a different phone number then the one online. Once I finally found their phone number I could not get anyone to answer ( Monday at 12:30) After about an hours of trying. Big lesson learned. Stay out of trouble dealing with these inept people has been my worst nightmare.
Zachary H — Google review
Every time I call the employees are rude and never can answer a question. They will transfer you to the law library and Laurie can never tell you the correct steps to follow. She tells you, "she doesn't know". They never want to work with you, they just want to get off the phone as quickly as possible. They need people in there that want to genuinely help people, that aren't annoyed with answering questions and that know basic steps to file basic paperwork. They represent our community and it's a very bad representation.

As a child my siblings and I would ride horseback from Wilber D. May's ranchero up to the Basque Monument and revile in the beauty of nature that surrounded us. I recall catching bullfrogs under the shade of cottonwood and aspen trees, wading through the wetlands and angering my dad being so doggone muddy from Evan's Creek. I recall having to ride all the way home in the back of the truck with the our ol' dog Happy. The Basque Monument holds a special place in my heart and I like it's off the beaten path vibe that still feels intimate despite the new and improved jogging trails and mountain bikes that occasionally pass you under the hundreds of years old small wetland that remains. Enjoy the trail, respect the land, and please leave no trace of refuse as one can almost be transported back in time if you find the right points of reference. Respectfully submitted, -John K. Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Reno has a rich history dating back to 1870. The church was built over a 25-year period, with various architects contributing to its design. Frederic J. DeLongchamps created multiple architectural plans for the church, ultimately choosing the Gothic Revival style. The cathedral, constructed in 1930, features cast concrete, buttresses, steep spires, and pointed arched windows.
Nice Church. I took a picture. I am Catholic and visited. I was especially impressed by the faith, kindness, and generosity of this congregation. I hope this church can use my photo for their own artwork, fliers, and so on. The picture really took itself. It is a beautiful scene on the river with the church in the background. I hope this image will be useful for this church for many years to come. Play around with it in Photoshop or other phot editing software, and use it whenever you need to create flier for an event, an ad, a website, or whatever. This is now your photograph of your church and I grant all rights solely to this Episcopal Church to use this image in any way this church sees fit. May God bless you and give you peace, unity, and longevity. Peace be with you.

My late mother was a member of this cathedral. I hadn't been there in years, and it was really nice to be able to attend the service in person. It's a beautiful cathedral, and the congregation is warm and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

The Cathedral is small but quite impressive. The traffic near the Cathedral is rough and congested. It used to be next to the Herald which isn’t there now. It’s by the Marriott where you can get gator tail fried. You can take the Omni to the Cathedral and it’s safe and roomy.

Love this church.Very friendly You can feel God here.Love Reverend Rick the choir and organ.Would love to become a eucharistic minister here. Great place to fellowship and know God. I just feel left out since mom died. Never got a card or condolances. After she passed I felt like no one cared

Truckee River, which flows from the Sierras through Reno and into Pyramid Lake, offers a variety of outdoor excursions. The landscape features sagebrush desert and lush forests in the nearby mountains, with a high desert climate. Visitors can enjoy rafting with class 3 rapids and opportunities for a refreshing dip. It's recommended to check air quality forecasts before heading out due to potential smoke from fires.
The river is always a place where people can come and relax from their grind. It's one of the things that make Reno what it is. It's generally very relaxing to spend time next to, and there are all kinds of different spots connected to it to explore.
Morgan P — Google review
Along the Truckee River is incredibly stunning this time of year. The vivid colors of the leaves changing into their fall attire is nothing short of magnificent. The recent rains brought the sweet aroma of our native white sage and sweet grass to enjoy. So tranquil.
Pat H — Google review
Gorgeous. Lots of rafting options. Some class 3 rapids. Most excellent place for a dip. We were lucky to get out there without any smoke from the fires so I definitely recommend checking the air quality forecast before you head out. Though.. It would still be just as awesome a trip.

I don't know how I could rate a river anything but five star but this particular River really deserves it. I've lived along this River for most of my life now and a ground to really appreciate its amazing diversity and beauty all the way from Lake Tahoe out to Pyramid Lake, never being disappointed. It is an amazing River for fishing and recreation and just plain enjoyment.
HiEd T — Google review
It is tranquil. You can fish, raft or just hang out. It can be busy; you just need to know when and where to get to your spot; it is possible. The sound of water, the sound of wind and the sound of trees moving when you are with lives that are important to you, priceless.

The Truckee River runs through downtown Reno and adds charm to the rugged area. It's nice to stroll along and sit to enjoy it. You can even dip your feet in or go swimming in certain areas. There are restaurants, hotels and bars along the river walk too.

Reno City Hall, located in the heart of the city, is a hub of activity and assistance for locals and visitors alike. The building is easily accessible from nearby parking garages, offering stunning views from the top floors. Visitors praise the helpfulness of the staff, who guide them to their destinations within the hall. Inside, one can find upcoming events and council sessions on display, along with art and artifacts.
The officials do what they can. It's hard with covid. Also wish they would work with the people more. Pictures are areas of discussion, figured they were nice. Licensed contractor work.

Get everything in writing with these guys. We have recorded calls where they say one thing and then they change what they are saying to say the opposite. This has now happened for 3 distinctly separate issues encountered while opening a business within Reno. This is disgraceful. This place is seriously mismanaged.
Vox P — Google review
Had business to take care of, otherwise I wouldn't of gone. Amazingly, I didn't get lost and had no problem parking. It was a little confusing getting out of the parking garage to find city hall, but I just asked someone for help. Amazingly they were kind and did so. Usually, now a days, you put your life in your hands if you talk to someone.

I lived here in Reno since 1993 loved this town but with all the companies brought here for jobs that don't pay enough for rent's and all given tax breaks and nothing done about the homeless, building a new DMV that cant handle the population gridlock.crime, road rage, City Hall has done nothing for the betterment of Reno.

Open to public, first seen is the upcoming actions and council sessions. Inside is calm and has art, artifacts on display. Late Mayor Cashell's portrait is prominently displayed. Lots of armed security!!

I went down to Reno city hall in, in support of my fellow brother in Christ Michael Graham, who filed his declaration for Reno Mayor, My review is based on the current administration failure to address the majority of the cities population, hard working men, and women in the lower, and middle class the back bone of Reno Nevada...The corruption in the top 1 percent who run the city tend to only care for there friends and families in the 1 percent, Not only do they implement policies, and procedures that benefit tech companies, and the casino's, they also advocate for the destruction of historical buildings, and sites, and churches that have long been a part of Renos history....There essentially removing God from the city, and forcing the hard working men, and woman out, there turning Reno into San Francisco a city that promotes and breeds sin of every kind, The residents moving here from California moved here to get away from that, not to be surrounded, and forced by corrupt city officials who think they can force there will upon them, and turn Reno into a "SIN" utopia for the 1 percent.... Michael Graham is about putting a stop to the one percent, and about putting the low income, and middle class families in the front, A full reversal of the policies implemented in the last 15 yrs, and making Reno great again, where low income families can afford to live, work and play, vs the Sin, Utopia" of the 1 percent.... Mayor Hillary Schieve can take full credit for the 280 percent increase of homelessness due to her policies ...Senior citizens, and veterans, on a fixed income being evicted during a no eviction moratorium approved by Hilary Schieve, from the midtown toilet project where millions of dollars where flushed down the toilet for high end boutiques, and restaurants, and a ridiculous center divider which prevents traffic from being able to turn right or left, also a un needed roundabout that creates more traffic than what was there previously, Michael Graham a hard working blue collar Mayor who is for the majority, who will be hands on and not behind a desk or in front of a camera, and definitely not for the one percent, God bless Jesus Christ loves you and so do I....
Robert M — Google review
Went to an exhibit called,"Breaking the Mold". It was all about recovery from alcoholism and addiction. People who are either in recovery or that have family that are or have passed away wrote their stories which were then blown up and posted on the wall. A couple of people also spoke and there were snacks.

"The Space Whale" is a breathtaking 50-foot-tall sculpture located in City Plaza, Reno, Nevada. This stunning artwork consists of over 90,000 individual glass pieces meticulously assembled to form two life-sized whales. The sculpture is fully interactive, emitting whale songs and illuminating the night with its enchanting lights. Visitors can enjoy this mesmerizing sight along the Truckee River and even engage in activities like skateboarding or rollerblading at the nearby park.
Absolutely stunning artwork, I had seen it when we first arrived upon moving here. And not all that far from our new home. Decided that the rest of my family should see it, and due to several roads in the area being closed, we drove around it several times, missing it. Then after realizing that we had drove past it a few times without seeing it because it wasn't lit up yet, then after viewing it up close and walking down to the truckee river edge, it was definitely an experience that won't be forgotten. Bit curious about what the rules are about people getting into the river though or if it's even safe? Also wondering where people can possibly go and play in the river during summer? Heard something about tubing down the river, but still don't know what the RULES are about it and how to do anything like that. Hopefully, by next spring we'll know more about our new home environment here in Reno! Overall beautiful artwork in the area but the streets are scary obstacles and easy to get lost here! Google maps to the rescue just because you blinked and missed a turn.

The California Building is a nice place for events, but it can get a bit stuffy in the summer. The high windows and orientation of the hall make it difficult to see out, especially in the winter. However, the staff is always willing to help and they're very accommodating.
I hosted my wedding here and it definitely was way more than enough space for about it people. There were outlets everywhere which was very handy. The bathrooms are very industrial and there is no counter space for getting ready so definitely get ready elsewhere. The patio was very large and we got a lot of use out of it. The Rose Garden we did not rent but nothing was in bloom yet so not great for pictures in May. The kitchen was very large and had tons of space for extra drinks and food with under the counter shelves. The venue comes with a ton of tables and chairs which meant we did not need to rent any so that worked out very well. The dimensions for everything were included on the website. The only downside I had was the office was hard to get a hold of let alone get them to let us in to confirm outlets. I reserved the place back in October but wanted to get in about a month before the wedding to gather ideas for the decor and show my mother the venue as she would be there setting up the morning of the event. I called for about a week once a day trying to get through and on occasion when I would get someone they said they did not have time to show the venue. It seems with all the places they manage it is not a big deal for them to allow people to tour the building which was disappointing. If I had that much push back when I first found the place I definitely would not have been able to reserve it. Other than that the place worked out great. There are places to put curtains over the windows which I wish I would have known so just a heads up if you wish to have an event there and allow for mood lighting. I am glad I had my wedding there due to the shear amount of space and the price (cheapest I found in town by far).

Such a great place in Reno for events. I have the best memories coming here as a child with my parents for their friends and now sharing memories with my friends and my son. It's a staple of Reno, parking is ample and building accessible for all people.

I just hosted a wedding at the California Building. The facility and surrounding park are a great area for this type of event. There is lots of room for the guests and buffet. The City of Reno was really helpful and took great care of us. The Easter egg hunt was also going on the day of our event, but they had the whole parking area reserved for my guests and we didn't run into any conflicts with all that was going on at Idlewild that day. Thank you City of Reno for a great staff and being so accommodating.

The California Building is a nice place for a group. However, not for winter afternoons. The high windows and the orientation of the place make for lots of squinting and that wasn't so good. This was November 26th.

LOVE my church. We embrace the slogan "Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors. We are a "Reconciling Church" which means we're committed to the justice imperative of the Gospel. We express this by welcoming ALL people - including people who do not always agree with us. Hey, we're ALL God's precious children. We use inclusive language and respectfully recognizing the diverse approaches to scripture, tradition, reason, and experience of the congregations and communities with whom it relates. Recalling the Old Testament verse from Micah 6:8, we strive "to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God." If that sounds good to you, you'll probably enjoy hanging out with us. :)
