Specialty Museums
The Rehoboth Beach Historical Society & Museum, established in 1975, is a family-friendly museum that showcases the history and culture of Rehoboth Beach. It features beach-related memorabilia, vintage bathing suits, Civil War era maps and train schedules, as well as rotating exhibits such as vintage postcards spanning over a century. Operated by the Rehoboth Beach Historical Society, the museum offers insights into the development of the community through lectures, tours, and annual events.
I've been coming to Rehoboth for some 30 years now and have always wanted to stop here but never did! I finally went today and was so delighted. This is a small but mighty museum, excellently curated with wonderful old artifacts and photos and information about the history of Rehoboth, a place I know myself and so many others love so much. It really does have a fascinating and rich history, and I left wanting to learn more! Thank you!

We came here on our vacation on one of the days it wasn’t quite nice enough for the beach, and I’m so glad we did! We’re from out of town, but had the absolute gift of meeting Paul Lovett and getting to hear him talk about his miniatures of 1910s Rehoboth Ave. Paul and this exhibit are such treasures. We could’ve listened to him recite the history of this street for even more hours than we did (I think we may have stayed for at least 2!).
Frankie L — Google review
Truly an expressive selection of local Delaware history. Second floor features a rotating exhibit. Space is completely accessible with elevators and plenty of parking.
Michael D — Google review
A very small museum, but all they ask for upon admission is a donation, so it is very fair. The first room was my favorite, especially the history of Funland. There is also a QR code to a video about eel trapping. I would like to have seen more of these QR codes. It would be an easy way to make the museum more interactive. A fair warning is that parking is very limited and not free. Additionally, if you back into a parking spot, the fine is $50, regardless of if you paid or not. So, don't do that... sigh.... that's the parking's fault, not the museum, so I won't get on my soapbox about that here. Just don't do it. A great museum, located in a great spot of Rehoboth. I highly recommend for anyone that wants to learn a brief history about Rehoboth.
Brandon B — Google review
Small but very engaging museum experience. We enjoyed both free exhibits, and we even got to listen to the historical diorama creator, Paul who was a wealth of knowledge. Folks seem heavily invested in preserving the diverse history of Rehobeth. Highly recommend.
Dre C — Google review
Nice place to go to. It's a great place to learn about Rehoboth Beach and it's right next to the visitor's center. It was also free to enter but donations are always welcome.

Really great little museum concerning the history of Rehoboth Beach. There are many photographs and artifacts, plus an excellent diorama.
Todd S — Google review
The Rehoboth Beach Museum is a free attraction that’s owned and managed by the local historical society. It was founded in the mid-‘70s and has two distinct parts that give visitors unique insights into the area’s history, culture, and development dating back more than two centuries. The museum is staffed by local volunteers, so in addition to being a great place to get a quick historical overview on the cheap, it’s also a wise first stop for visitors who are new to the area and aren’t sure about the things to see and do. Most visitors leave a donation on their way out.

Live music venue
Concert hall
Night club
Bottle & Cork is a vibrant bar in Dewey Beach, Delaware, known for its live music shows featuring national acts and cover bands. The venue has been hosting performances for almost 90 years and has welcomed renowned artists like Dave Matthews Band, Cyndi Lauper, and Eric Church. The intimate indoor/outdoor space provides a unique setting for music enthusiasts to enjoy a diverse lineup of musicians.
The Bottle & Cork is the heart and soul of live music in Dewey Beach. Whether you're into national touring acts or high-energy cover bands, this place has seen them all. If you're lucky, your favorite artist has probably graced this legendary stage at some point. The real magic happens during the summer with their world-famous Jam Session—a Dewey Beach tradition. Every Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, at least three cover bands rotate every hour from 5 PM to 1 AM, playing everything from today’s hottest hits to classic throwbacks. You can roll in straight off the beach, and when that air raid siren blares at 5 PM, you know it’s time to rock. With multiple bars wrapped around the venue, grabbing a drink is never a hassle, and the vibe is always electric. They were once known as being an all cash bar with old school cash registers, but they started accepting plastic a few years ago. So no need to hit the ATM on the way in anymore. The Bottle & Cork proves that rock and roll is alive and well in Dewey Beach.
Eric F — Google review
"The greatest Rock n Roll bar in the whole world" Went to see Greatful Dub with Roots of Creation playing reggae Greatful Dead and their original songs as well. Despite the 100° temps outside the vibe was chill and the staff friendly. Special thanks to Andrew behind the bar for the best drinks and security for always keeping us safe. Bottle & Cork is a legendary music venue in the heart of Dewey Beach, Delaware. Celebrate a friend's birthday like I did or dance the night away with someone new. You'll have good time

World class Concert Venue!! They’ve been around for 90 years. Our band played there last night, great accommodations, top-notch service, great sound engineerNick, awesome staff and crew. It was an honor to play there.
Luis R — Google review
When we were leaving the bar on 8/16/25 though a door that did NOT say you couldn’t exit though, a male bouncer at the outside entrance to the bar harassed my sister. He forcefully grabbed her arm and ripped her plastic wristband off her wrist with intense force. All four of us exited through the door without any worker telling us we couldn’t although there was a worker standing right next to the door. He did not do anything to the other 3 people that were with her. Do not go here if you want to be physically harassed by the bouncer.

100% loved this venue! Will definitely make another trip to see a show here again.
Kate H — Google review
We’ve attended a number of shows at Bottle & Cork and really enjoy the size and vibe of this venue! The staff is always great, but I’d like to give a special shoutout and a huge THANK YOU to Jojo, James, JD, and DJ for their help at a show last week when a member of our group was struggling during an extremely hot evening. We appreciate you! Side note: I recommend bringing a small personal/neck fan in the summer months, especially if it’s a sold out show :)
Julie S — Google review
Bottle and Cork offers a quintessential American Dewey Beach experience. Both locals and tourists rave about this lively spot as the go-to place for weekend fun. The venue is buzzing with energy, reminiscent of a "battle of the bands" with its vibrant live music scene. Upon arrival, there's a $10 per person cover charge, which is conveniently offset by a complimentary beer or hard seltzer. This upfront fee is well worth it. The service is impressive, with waitresses in distinctive hello shoes circulating with buckets of canned drinks, making it easy to enjoy more beverages without needing to wait at the bar. Overall, Bottle and Cork embodies the classic beach town bar vibe, making it a must-visit if you're new to Dewey Beach. It’s an excellent choice for a fun night out with great music and a lively atmosphere.

A place that claims to be “the greatest rock n roll bar in the world” and closes at 12:45 instead of the scheduled 1:00am. PATHETIC. I’m front New York and disgusted. Are you rock and roll or do you close early? Pick a lane. Lameeeeeee. Good songs, close too early though so what’s the point. Do you want to party or not you losers???

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
Striper Bites is a casual bistro with a nautical ambiance that specializes in various seafood dishes and cocktails. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring Maine lobster rolls, grilled mahi-mahi club sandwiches, appetizers, salads, burgers, tacos, and crab cakes. It is part of the diSabatino family's trio of Lewes eateries along with Kindle and Half Full.
I had the firecracker tuna roll and tempura roll and enjoyed them immensely. I'd definitely order them again. The challenge was choosing an entree because the whole menu sounds delicious. The El Diablo cocktail is sweet and spicy.... basically a jalapeno margarita. The service was very attentive, and the food & cocktails came out in a reasonable timeline considering it was a Friday night. Can't wait to return
Damien G — Google review
A gorgeous beach-themed seafood restaurant, with fresh seafood and good vibes. The crabcake sandwich was delicious, the crabcake a good size and tasted fresh. The crab dip & crab bisque both amazing as well, decently portioned and not too overwhelming. Highly recommend the potato salad as a side for a not too heavy but satisfying accompaniment. I would skip the rockfish burrito & the shrimp sandwich. Service was a bit iffy, but our waitress also could have been having a bad day.

Stopped in for lunch, and we were immediately impressed. We ate outdoors in the comfortable, dog-friendly patio. The food was incredible and had very generous portions. I had the Bistro Burger. It was cooked perfectly, and included a tasty combination of the bacon jam and house spread. The Brussels Sprouts as my side were fresh and lightly seasoned with a bit of salt and pepper. Service was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back.

Delicious food. 🦐🐟 This kind of place would have somebody who's never liked seafood clean their entire plate 🍽️ The food is so good it leaves you with flashbacks. I usually don't subscribe to the idea of returning to the same spot often, but I will make an exception here!

6/12/25 First time here and we will be back. We had an extremely charismatic bartender that was knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. Great cocktails, great food, great service. Highly recommend the tuna app (see the picture).
Cam G — Google review
Decided to go there yesterday for their off-season specials Yesterday happened to be lobster. We were a party at 5. As the host told us it was a 10-minute wait as she cleaned off the table after she cleaned the table she still had us wait an additional 5 minutes before she seated us which we found odd. One seated it wold be another 10 minutes before anyone took our drink orders. The server it was very nice. Food included in our order where's the calamari, crab dip, Brussels. While tasty, the crab dip was soupy, so we were all disappointed. The lobster special did not come with a side it only came with a salad or soup so you have to order an additional side if you wanted one. The soup choice underwhelming, a tortellini and sausage soup. While cream of crab was on their menu they only offered a tortellini and sausage soup as your choice. One of the guests with us ordered steak frite, medium, the steak was well done bummer for her. Another word for turkey Burger was not tasty and I ordered the fish and chips which was a catfish and it was over fried. Overall experience was lackluster unfortunately we wanted to like this restaurant but it didn't make the cut. We've been in Lewes for over 5 years now, vacationing here for several years before living here and we've been taking our guests to several different restaurants in the area and unfortunately Striper Bites disappointed.

Very kind staff who know what they are doing and the food is amazing. In my opinion it’s the best food in Lewes

The food was amazing!! The lobster roll and tuna appetizer were incredible, and I need the recipe for that potato salad. Very unique with whole potatoes, but creamy, sweet, and spicy. The service was friendly and fast.

American restaurant
Restaurant
Heirloom is a charming restaurant and bar housed in a large white Victorian building, offering creative American dishes. The establishment's beautiful interior resembles a Victorian home with red shutters, providing an inviting atmosphere for diners. Guests can indulge in delicious cheese and charcuterie boards before savoring delectable entrees such as Amish chicken and rockfish. The fresh flavors of the dishes are complemented by impeccable service and a clean, beautiful ambiance.
This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. We sat at the bar, and the service was amazing. Andrea was super knowledgeable about the menu, and the chef Ben, surprised us with a crab salad that was incredible. We ordered a cheese and meat board, the rabbit perogies, the pasta and lamb. Everything exceeded our expectations, from the plating to the flavor profiles. I can’t wait to go back!
Sarah W — Google review
Went here with my family (includes two small kids). The staff were very kind, patient, and accommodating. They brought us a kids pasta (not listed on menu). So highest marks for that but honestly I'd recommend no small kids here for the best experience. The drinks were Amazing. Enjoyed the tuna tartare and the pastas. Really amazing spot downtown and it was updated beautifully. Must stop for Lewes.
Chris T — Google review
Heirloom was amazing and we had a wonderful experience. It was the best food we had on our trip - and we had some great food! Freshness and quality were outstanding. Sourdough bread and honey, chamomile butter divine. I had the New England Halibut, which was cooked to perfection. My husband had the Heirloom Veggie Bowl, amazing farm to table. We shared the Kennett Square mushroom mix highly recommend. Our server, Angel, was wonderful. Parking is on the side streets by the restaurant. We didn’t have any trouble finding parking off season. The town of Lewes, DE is adorable.

We attended a pre-wedding dinner as part of a large group and shared a room with a larger group. The accommodations worked out well, eventually, but as we were seated and the other group were just arriving - it was a bit loud for the hearing challenged. The staff were excellent, the food was delicious and our evening was very enjoyable and, despite the the pre-dinner acoustics, entirely memorable.
Brian F — Google review
Just an outstanding culinary experience. We can't wait to visit again. They ticked all the boxes of a fabulous dinner for the three of us.

Wonderful food, great wine, and homey, elegant yet down-to- earth atmosphere w clean bathroom. Highlights: Amish chicken w white bbq sauce, incredible homemade bread with their own whipped butter. Great special occasion restaurant!

Just had the best meal in a decade. Guests enjoyed the squid pasta, Amish chicken, mushroom bowl and scallops. Every bite was amazing. Shout out to angel our server. And the rest of the staff that support the servers. The choreography of the experience is elegant and comforting. You owe it to yourself to go thete.

Absolutely amazing experience! It was a friend's birthday and the staff at Heirloom did not disappoint. I had some picky eaters with me, and every person loved every single dish we ordered, and I mean LOVED! I had the pork schnitzel and I ate every last bite. Every dish is so unique and delicious it leaves you talking about dinner long after you've left. Would recommend to anyone looking for the best meal of their life, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Indian restaurant
Nestled along Savannah Road in the charming town of Lewes, Raas is a delightful new addition to the local dining scene. This Indian fusion pan-Asian restaurant, which opened its doors in mid-August, occupies a historic Queen Anne Victorian house that has seen many families call it home over the years. Chef Gyanendra GG Gupta leads this culinary venture under the Masala Hospitality Group, aiming to celebrate food and culture while highlighting the medicinal benefits of Indian cuisine.
Came here with a large group and was absolutley delighted with the meal. To start, We were a group of 13 and they somehow managed to time everything... so kudos there. We had a variety of apps but the fried cauliflower was divine as was the chat. We would come back here alone for that. For the dinner our table shared a variety of dishes. We had some saag paneer, cinnamon curry chicken, chicken tiki masala, as well as the lentils dish. Everything was fantastic... but the saag paneer and curry chicken was an absolutley perfect blend of spices, texture, and taste overall. We would gladly drive an hour plus to come here and enjoy the meal. Five stars way for us and I don't give those much.

Raas, an elegant yet welcoming restaurant in **Lewes, Delaware**, delivered an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Despite their official opening time being **3 PM**, a quick call at **2:15 PM** was met with gracious hospitality, as they happily invited us in early—a gesture that set the tone for their outstanding service. #### **Warm Welcome & Kid-Friendly Service** Upon arrival, we were greeted by our **wonderful waiter**, who guided us to our table with genuine warmth. She immediately ensured that the **kids’ orders were taken first**, showing care and thoughtfulness in making them comfortable. A charming moment unfolded as the children **peeked curiously into the kitchen**, and to their delight, they were **offered free ice cream**, adding a touch of magic to their experience. #### **Food & Flavors That Shine** The menu at Raas boasts an array of carefully crafted dishes, and we were truly impressed by the **parathas and rotis**—each freshly made from **wheat**, wonderfully soft, and flavorful. We couldn’t resist ordering **extra**, a testament to their quality. Here’s what we indulged in: - **Honey Chili Water Chestnut** – A delightful balance of **sweet heat** and crunch, making for a perfect starter. - **Saag Paneer Kofta** – Rich and creamy, the koftas blended beautifully with the **earthy saag**, creating a comforting dish. - **Gobhi Musallam** – A standout, featuring **whole roasted cauliflower** bathed in aromatic spices. - **Chana Masala** – Hearty and flavorful, offering an authentic taste of perfectly cooked chickpeas in a bold, spiced gravy. - **Chickpea & Potato Makhani** (from the kids’ menu) – This dish was an **instant favorite**, mild yet rich, perfectly suited for young taste buds. #### **Final Thoughts** Raas left a lasting impression with its **warm hospitality, kid-friendly service, and outstanding food**. The combination of **fresh ingredients, skillful preparation, and gracious service** made for a memorable experience. Whether you’re looking for an inviting space for families, a refined yet casual dining spot, or a feast of authentic flavors, Raas delivers on all fronts. ⭐ **Highly recommended!** Would happily return for another round of their **incredible breads and comforting dishes**.

We stopped in for lunch and enjoyed a couple of small plates along with an entrée—everything was outstanding. The food, presentation, and service were the best I’ve experienced in Delaware. After three years of living here, I only wish I had discovered this place sooner. It’s now firmly on my list of favorite restaurants. The Blood Orange Martini was fantastic, and when I casually mentioned it was my birthday, our waitress surprised me with a delicious slice of chocolate cake. Highly recommend the Vegetable Samosa, Spiced Aloo Tuk, Butter Chicken, and Garlic Naan.
Monique P — Google review
It was my first time here and everything was really good food was awesome we had spinach and kale chat, chicken seekh kebabs , lamb biryani and cinnamon chicken curry with Gallic naan and they were perfect we will visit again thank you for good food.

Solid. Got the chicken tika, lamb karma, chili naan, butter naan, samosas. Would get all again. The drunken mango lassi was also great and took the edge off the spice.
Josh W — Google review
Our recent visit to Raas in Lewes was extremely disappointing. From the start, mistakes kept happening: the Italian wine we ordered was actually from Sonoma, and the server’s explanation was confusing. My husband’s Branzino arrived wrong, and the replacement was unexpectedly large, with no warning. While waiting, staff offered naan bread, but we were later charged for it. The Branzino cost $132, and the wine was $12 more than expected. We noticed a note at the door stating “under new management,” which might explain the series of errors. Having enjoyed two previous visits with excellent experiences, this recent visit completely shattered our expectations. Errors after errors ruined what was meant to be a special evening. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. After our review: The manager personally called to apologize, and we could feel how sincere he was. It really impressed us — it’s clear he’s someone who takes his work to heart.
Pilar A — Google review
We had another fabulous meal at Raas. Chef Saddam outdid himself with the most delicious feast, making special food for me (due to allergies) and surprising us with additional delights that showcased his exceptional culinary talent. This is the best Indian restaurant in Delaware and we travel several times a year just to eat here. Kim took excellent care of us too. All round 10/10 star experience.
Helen M — Google review
I only thought I had eaten the best Indian food around. What a huge surprise to find it in Lewes, Delaware. Started with the chili and olive naan, lamb seeks kebab, and ended with the tandoori prawns and stir fry lamb. The flavors were incredible, sauces delicious, heat was perfect. Curtis, our server and bartender, was very attentive and knowledgeable of every single dish. Will definitely be going back there again.

Nice quaint shopping street in Rehoboth Beach Delaware. This mall features a small business street near the Boardwalk with a variety of stores, like Sunglass Company and Electric Fish. The landscaping and plants along the street make for a nice atmosphere. In the middle of the street, about half way down is an old style post clock which adds to the scenery. This is a nice relaxing outdoor shopping mall.

This is a cute little lane with some nice shops and restaurants. It reminds me of a street in a European city. A gem in the middle of Rehoboth

The Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center is a relaxed oceanfront hotel located on the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach. It offers classic rooms with free Wi-Fi, and guests can enjoy a beachfront pool and a cafe. The hotel provides easy access to Rehoboth Beach and Boardwalk, as well as nearby attractions like Lewes Beach and Cape May - Lewes Ferry.
Our family recently stayed here for about a week, and overall we had a wonderful experience! The hotel is especially well-suited for families with young kids, offering convenience, friendly service, and an unbeatable location. Pros: • The beachfront location is absolutely unbeatable. Direct access to the sand and boardwalk made it so easy to pop back to the room when our toddler needed the potty or a quick break. • Kiwi’s Cove, attached to the hotel, had good food at a fair price — very convenient when traveling with kids. • The hotel is close to shops and necessities on Rehoboth’s Main Street, which was great for our inevitable “emergency” family runs. • Staff were some of the friendliest we’ve met — welcoming, helpful, and very family-oriented. • Rooms were very clean (no bed bugs!) and well-kept. Just note they can run a little chilly, so pack a sweater or jacket. Cons: • The walls are quite thin, so we could hear neighbors and hallway noise more than we would have liked. Takeaway: For families who value location, cleanliness, and genuinely friendly service, this hotel is hard to beat. The convenience of the beach, boardwalk, and nearby dining made our stay an enjoyable and memorable one!

Just did a 9 night stay! First 8 nights in a room with a balcony and extended for one additional day and had to move to a non balcony suite . First room was good except the mattress on the pull out couch was very flimsy and should be much higher quality for the money you pay. The second room had an odor that smelled musky - went to front desk and got nothing , front desk staff acted like they could care less. Notified the GM and he and other’s personally went to room and said it didn’t smell and could not find any source of an odor. When you walked in you could smell it but since this was the only available room we had no choice. Late in evening we found mold on the pull out mattress. This is where we felt the source of the issue could have been. Sent the pictures the following morning but GM said when he had a chance he would look at it. Not sure if he ever did. I also noticed on my bill a 10% service charge - I asked about that and the response was that it’s what some hotel call a resort fee —- it covers the “ free parking and free pool”. If that’s the case they are not free!!! We have been staying at the sands for 15 years every summer and the prices rise every year but the rooms are not keeping up with the price increase in terms of cleanliness and updates! With new hotels being built the Sands better step up their game because $500 plus a night and a 10% service charge will drive people away! I would also say that the front desk people are not very cordial or welcoming . When I was trying to extend, one of the people ( Deyan) was more interested in his cell phone than helping me ! I witnessed him numerous other times on his phone watching videos or playing games as people were waiting to be helped.

Great location on the boardwalk. Rooms were severely outdated, service was mediocre, friendliness of staff was just okay. Very little work has been done to rooms with partial view of beach. Bar far, THE WORST bathroom I’ve ever experienced at a “hotel”. Broken toilet, stained walls dingy towels/linen…an absolute nightmare! Definitely what I image a motel experience to be. We requested housekeeping clean our room and specifically asked for fresh sheets and towels. When we returned to our room later that evening, the same make up stained sheets were on the bed that were there when we arrived. We had to ask multiple times for maintenance to come repair the lock on our door. They eventually came to repair it the second day we were there. If it weren’t a holiday weekend and a challenge to find other hotel accommodations, we would’ve checked out a day early and gone elsewhere. If your concern is convenience and proximity to the beach, this may be the place for you. If you require decent accommodations and convenience, continue to look elsewhere. Definitely won’t be returning to this place unless major renovations are done.

The front desk person was awesome, super friendly, remembered us, super nice, but we're not really sure what is going on with the making up of rooms--it seems towels were traded out, but otherwise no real service happened while we were there. The location is fantastic, the rooms were spacious and nicely appointed, and the beds were slightly firm but comfortable. Our rooms were on the South side, and we had a lovely view of the ocean. The pool was clean and the servers there were charming and lively. Overall a very nice time!

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a decent experience — but there were definitely a few things that stood out, both good and bad. When I first checked in, I was helped by someone named Scott, who said he was the night manager. I wasn’t too happy with how he handled things when I asked to switch rooms because the AC in mine was leaking. He told me there were no available rooms, and the conversation didn’t feel very respectful or helpful. Later on, I came back and spoke with two other guys at the front desk — Deyan and Gus — and they were great. Super professional, friendly, and immediately found me another room to move into. In the end, I didn’t switch because I didn’t like the new one either, but I really appreciated the effort they made to try and help. Their service definitely made a difference. The room I stayed in could’ve been better. The AC was leaking, and there weren’t enough towels. Also, the price felt a little high for what you get. Still, despite the issues, I would consider coming back next year. Housekeeping staff was very friendly, but didn't speak English, which was a bit of a tough moment for us. But again, overall, the stay was good.

So this is our 6th year coming to Rehoboth and we absolutely love the location of this hotel. We’ve stayed in all different rooms and are pretty much confident in knowing which rooms we like the most. This latest trip however was a bit disappointing. In short, if you’re traveling during peak season and enjoy the ocean front rooms (Ambassador Front King) at a rate of $359 a night, make sure you DO NOT GET THE LINE OF ROOMS 125, 225, 325 or 425! The bathroom is tiny tiny tiny and the other rooms definitely have larger bathrooms so the photos on the website are sometimes deceiving. Before unpacking for three nights stay I immediately requested a different room, knowing what the bathrooms normally look like and knowing that I would not be happy with this room. PS the rooms and the bathrooms need to be updated for sure. I was told by two different people at the front desk that the Hotel was completely booked and that I could not be moved either that night or any day following. I called the hotel directly and was told that there was availability for the weekend for the rooms that I had wanted. I then went to the front desk again and spoke with someone different and explained that I had just spoken to someone on the phone that said that there were rooms available. They were available for the following two nights that they would be there and I would have to check tomorrow to see when they were ready. After settling into our room, we decided to not pick up and move again and stay in our room. As much as we love the hotel location, the desk staff is usually frustrated with any requests and while I understand that we were traveling during the height of the season, (August) I find the same issues in October, or the winter months. The restaurant wait staff is always pleasant and we love the service and the food there. Stay at the Atlantic Sam’s for the perfect location and the walk capability of everything but just to make sure you’re getting your moneys worth

Just a two night stay that was rescheduled from 2 weeks prior due to a family emergency. They were very understanding and courteous about it. Room was nice with the expected amenities and location was awesome. Couldn't ask for better.

Rooms are really small. They have full beds instead of queen and the description says there is a futon but it's not an option for someone to sleep on. The bathrooms are also cramped. On the first day there was a terrible smell in the hallways. But the location is excellent. And they give a huge discount on beach chair rentals. Most of the staff we encountered were super nice and helpful, especially the management and the older staff. There were a couple of young guys at reception who seemed like they hated being there. But our overall experience was good. The coffee shop attached to the hotel is great!

The Boardwalk Plaza Hotel in Rehoboth Beach offers a Victorian-style retreat with modern amenities. The hotel provides high-end oceanfront accommodations, including fine dining, a pub, and a pool. Guests can enjoy the historic charm of the property while indulging in first-rate facilities. The hotel's location allows easy access to nearby attractions such as the Rehoboth Beach Public Library and One Spirit Massage Studio.
Off-season trip to Rehoboth which makes staying here affordable as a splurge. Chose an oceanfront room. While rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable, they are somewhat dated, particularly wallpaper. Service is impeccable, including the restaurant. The food at the restaurant, though we'll prepared, was also dated and the menu could use a refresh to place less emphasis on heavy entrees and newer/modern items. The lobby parrots were a delight and we spent a bunch of time making (or attempting to in the case of Moose) friends. We will be back, hoping to make this a new early Spring tradition.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel during our family vacation! The location was perfect—close to everything we needed, with easy access to restaurants, the beach, and local attractions. The hotel was very clean and well-kept, which made our stay feel comfortable and relaxing. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful—always welcoming with a smile and ready to assist with anything we needed. We truly felt taken care of. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway!

First time visiting. Here now. Just my daughter (8yo) and I. We love the oceanfront view. The chairs on the balcony aren’t the cleanest, but they’re on risers so when u sit down u can see over top of the balcony hand rail and see the beach. Our oceanfront view is awesome, make sure u get that! Otherwise the hotel would be blah for us. It has a vintage theme, I get it, but the furniture appears overly worn, and could use refreshing. Our room is clean, VERY small frig isn’t too cold- can barely sit a drink upright, beds are just ok for me but comfy for her, can’t figure out the safe instructions, it’s quiet at night which is nice, staff is extremely helpful, love the view of the beach when in the elevator…do NOT like the pool, it’s very small and a tiny portion of it (that fits 4 adults) is outside. It’s def catered to adults and not kids, in my opinion. My 8yo is disappointed as she was hoping for a larger, UNheated pool; it was oddly very warm which felt weird, esp the small area that was outside. Bottomline, the hotel is nice and clean which is a must for me. The view is great. It’s quiet. Staff is helpful. Not a fan of the small heated pool. Frig needs to be larger to at least accommodate a regular sized soft drink. Oh, I like that the AC isn’t near the bed and blowing in our faces at night, which it is in so many hotels. Also, there’s Complementary beach towel service and discount tix u can present to the guys on the beach for an umbrella and chairs. Heads up, they do take the chairs/umbrellas down at 5pm when lifeguards go off duty for the day. Next time, I’ll bring my own because the chairs were kind of raggedy. We had brkfst in the hotel on our last day and it was very good. Kudos to the chef! I couldn’t find the vending machines although they’re shown on the hotels website pics. Guess I could’ve asked but I didn’t. Less than a minute walk to the boardwalk which was great. Free parking on top deck or underground, although it’s quite tight down there. Don’t be in a hurry to go anywhere because the elevator is slow as running molasses. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay at Rehoboth but I’m not quite sure I would stay at this hotel, again.

A fantastic time was had at this location this place transports you to a different time filled with antiques and 1920s charm. The staff was all amazing. The food at the Victorian Tavern was delicious. The rooms were clean and very attractive looking. Special shout out to Steven the bartender who was amazing. I will definitely be back

The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were nice. However, the beds were extremely soft and not the greatest. We didn’t have an issue with a water leak from an above resident, but they quickly took care of it over all a nice day and the hot tub and pool set up for fun too

We had a pretty good time here. The location is right on the boardwalk, near the main strip. The hotel is very clean. Some areas that are a little tight. The building could use a little updating. The TVs in the rooms are subpar smart tvs. The Chromecast on them doesnt really work, but you are able to login to Netflix on them where you'll see it's a little glitchy on the playback. We visited the restaurant downstairs, which was decent, but in comparison to the other restaurants in the Area, it's not worth the prices. Lots of kids running around the hallways as well. It harshed the vibe of the deluxe couple's ocean view room. Cleaning staff was very abrupt and loud, yelling to eachother down the hall and banging into the walls with their equipment during cleaning. I've seen different variations of that being less bothersome in other hotels, but considering this is a smaller, older building, the sounds we're amplified. The room was also most certainly NOT what I paid for. It was on the side of the building, where yes, you could just barely see the ocean. The balcony was extremely small. 2 people could not sit out there comfortably and the view was blocked by a tree and the building. A refund may have been due, but we wanted to enjoy ourselves and didn't ask. I wanted to give a shout out to some absolutely awesome people that work here! Eli, is fabulous and extremely considerate! When my partner and I were feeling under the weather, she helped us get a couple simple items like toast and fruit from the breakfast menu even though it was 4pm. Jason, a wonderful welcome to the front desk on our arrival, just an awesome personality to be around. Adrian, one of the bartenders was so kind and made us some practically award winning drinks. A bit of a hiccup on the trip, there is one person that was far from pleasant at the front desk, Amy. Amy was rather and rude snarky over the phone. Anything we ever asked her was met with essentially a "thats not my job" type of attitude. She really needs a couple of crash courses in hospitality, even just being shadowed for a time. I can't imagine she makes anyone else there comfortable with how we were treated by her. In one of the conversations I had with her, I was checking out a day early because my fiance and I were under the weather. She didn't even care in the slightest, no "omg, im so sorry. We really hope you feel better." Instead, she said "youre not getting a refund, you know?" In such an assertive tone. Why yes, Amy. Well aware. We've stayed in many hotels before. Considering I didn't start with asking for a refund should have spoke to where I was going in the conversation. We just wanted to check out early and have a bell hop help us to the car with our stuff. Couldn't even get that. I had to haul everything down in a couple trips while fighting the urge to throw up from nausea. That really put a bad taste in my mouth after the whole experience. This would have been, at the very least, a 4 star rating without the presence of Amy during our stay. We will be trying a different location during our next visit due to this. A big thank you to everyone here and those i didn't name for making our trip a good one!

We have been coming here nearly 30 years, about 1 time per year. Rehobeth is a nice place to spend a few days. The hotel is well located and is in victorian style. The problem with that is that it provides an excuse to do little in the way of updating. Little things that nag like foam pillows that are like bricks, poorly located and inadequate device connectors in rooms, WIFI that over the years still lacks reliability and a mediocre in hotel restaurant. At least the coffee no longer tastes as if the pot is never cleaned but you are limited to plain coffee and will have to go elsewhere for chai latte or cappuccino. When all is said and done, the hotel gets the job done but not much else. It rates perhaps a solid 3 stars.

Tanger Rehoboth Beach - Bayside is a shopping haven for families looking to update their wardrobes and shop for various items. The outlet features a wide range of brand-name and designer stores, offering discounts of 30-70% on quality merchandise. With separate malls filled with clothing, accessories, footwear, housewares, toys, and books, there's something for everyone in the family.
A premium outlets mall with stores divided on both sides of the highway!! Prices were a little higher than at other premium outlets I have seen, shopped at and reviewed in past. Very friendly staff in Any store!! Gets busier on weekends or especially holiday weekends when there are good discounts offered. I saw a banner everywhere about up to 70% off through the mall on upcoming labor day weekend. I was there during the week prior to labor day. Still some outlets had good prices. A lot of benches and umbrellas to sit and rest if you have kids or elderly family members.

This location is certainly a nice place to visit for shopping. The availability of ample parking spaces is indeed a great convenience for visitors. It is also worth mentioning the wide selection of stores offered here. Having many outlets to choose from, customers can often find exactly what they are looking for. Overall, it sounds like a pleasant destination for a day of shopping.

The Avenue Inn & Spa is a cozy hotel in Rehoboth Beach, known for its warm rooms and suites, as well as its day spa and indoor pool. The hotel's convenient location just one block from the beach and boardwalk makes it a top choice for travelers. Guests can enjoy relaxing beach-style decor in their rooms, along with modern amenities like microwaves, mini fridges, phone charging stations, televisions, and free Wi-Fi.
We really enjoyed our second summer visit to Rehoboth and our first stay at The Avenue Inn & Spa. We plan to make this an annual tradition! The hotel itself is beautiful and there are so many fun amenities for the whole family. The breakfast is good in a pinch, the wine/cheese hour is a nice gesture and the highlight of each evening - the warm cookies and cold milk - bring so much joy! We also loved the game room with so many options, and the pool/hot tub is great when a beach day is rained out. The staff are super friendly and kind. The beach buggy driver, Lew, was so sweet with our 6 year old daughter and made her feel really special by having her sit up front with him and greeting her with a big smile every time her saw her. Peter at the front desk was also really lovely. Just some minor feedback - not sure if this is the case with all the rooms in the newer side of the hotel, but a full length mirror would be really useful to have. Also, we had a minor toilet leak and someone came up promptly to look at it and let us know that the toilet might need to be replaced after we leave, but it would also have been appreciated if we were asked at check out the next day if anything could be offered for that inconvenience, or even ask how our stay was. Overall, thank you for a wonderful stay, and we will for sure be back!!

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. My husband and I traveled to Rehoboth for the first time and stayed at the Avenue Inn... we were thoroughly impressed with our stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and nice. Loved that breakfast, wine and cheese, and cookie are all included and complimentary daily. Also can't beat that they provide beach towels and chairs. This is a one block walk from the beach and the location is prime. A couple things I will note is that our tub was not draining when we went to use it for the first time and my husband had to pull a glob of hair out of the drain to get it to drain properly (gross)... not sure why this wasn't caught by housekeeping staff.. other than that, the room was clean and prepared appropriately for us. Additionally, the hotel does warn of this but parking is not guaranteed. We pulled our car out of the garage one day around 7:30am and when we returned around 4:30pm we were lucky that there was only one spot left in the garage. The garage cannot fit all guest vehicles in there. So if you get a spot, leave your car and do not move it. Overall we want to give a big thank you to the Avenue Inn for making our stay in Rehoboth fantastic!

BE CAREFUL IN BOOKING THIS PROPERTY: I booked this property on a third party booking site for a long weekend away later in the year. I thought I got a deal- NOPE! I booked in Avenue II. It does state that it's on another property about a block away from the Inn. I was fine with that, so I booked. Once I booked, I received an email from Avenue Inn saying that the property is above a bar, so we could be subjected to loud music until 1am. I'm traveling with two small kids, so I promptly cancelled my reservation. Nowhere does it say this information on the original booking or on the website. Clearly, the websites for both the hotel and third party booking site say "FREE CANCELLATION" if it's before 7 days of check in (I have receipts!). I cancelled two solid months before our hotel stay and checked my account. I was refunded all but $25. So I called, and shared my disappointment in the lack of clarity and asked what the $25 charge was. With attitude, I was told it's a "credit card processing fee". Excuse me, but you didn't even PROCESS my card. Absolutely not- I demand a full refund- as stated on both their website and the booking site. She "spoke to the manager" and then was authorized to refund the amount. I haven't obviously gotten it back yet and will update if I don't receive the refund. I am not likely to book with this hotel in the future, and I'd suggest you're careful in your bookings, as well.

Be advised that breakfast is not self serve as with most other hotels I have stayed with. Also, you are only permitted one plate of hot food so no going back for another omelet or piece of sausage. Very unclassy and cheap considering the price you pay to stay at this Rehoboth Beach hotel. Also, be advised if you are only staying one night you will be charged the full amount for your stay up front and if you cancel, even a month prior to your stay, you will be charged a $25 cancellation fee. I was advised to cancel my Booking.com reservation to take advantage of a discount i qualified for through them. Turns out the rate is exactly the same as the rate charged by Booking.com, even a few cents more. And Booking.com does not charge a cancellation fee. Plus I was charged for my stay at both Booking.com (already cleared) and The Avenue Inn - so a $1,036 deduction in my bank account for a one night stay. I better get refunded for the cancelled booking through Booking.com. Ask for the Hotel's rate prior to confirming your booking if you book through The Avenue Inn directly. Remember they charge if you change your reservation. Learn as I did. So uncool. Note: They charge $15 for 4 cookies and 2 pints of milk delivered to your room. No great view from the balcony - anywhere in the building. Note: Avenue II has no elevator. We researched before booking and chose not to stay in that building.

I tend toward positive reviews. If I have an issue with a provider of a given service, I go directly to them and do my level best to work it out collaboratively and constructively. With the general caveat with my husband is the one who spoke to the front desk while I stayed in the room with the kids and he left frustrated and disappointed, it still feels fair to write a candid review of our experiences at The Avenue II while I’m roasting in my room at 1:30am and unable to sleep*** There are many good things to say about the Avenue In and Spa - the front desk staff are very nice and helpful. I had a massage at the spa and it was great. Cookies and milk nightly for the kids was a lovely touch. The pool was a great change of pace after crowded hot days at the beach. The annex is really alright for the most part - yes it’s right next to the purple parrot, and it will be noisy, but it wasn’t a huge issue for us at all. That was communicated clearly and repeatedly from the outset by the hotel, which we appreciated. It helps that the rooms are very well insulated for noise. What we did hear from the purple parrot did carry on into the wee hours of the night, but it was just bass. If you’re a light sleeper, I would suggest earplugs or white noise. For our family it was not an issue and we are in room 506, which is on the street facing side directly next to the restaurant. Parking was great and easy to manage. It’s walk up access to the second and third floors for the rooms - no elevator. Again, not an issue for us, but good to know. You’re a parking lot and a pretty skinny restaurant away from the main building. It’s not a real hike to speak of, but you are removed from the hotel itself. We still made full use of the pool and played scrabble in the main hotel lobby. Proximity to the beach is excellent. Nightlife is also great. It’s easy to pop out for a drink, snack, meal, or shopping and the people-watching from the balcony is very amusing if you can suffer through the oven-hot air being pumped out by the AC units. Which brings us to this - you need to know that the AC is not reliable. My husband was uncomfortable in the room most of the time but tolerated it. The kids and I were mostly okay, though a few nights were definitely pretty warm in the room - until our last night (happening now lol) when the AC could just not keep up with the outdoor temperature, which I think was 93F. I say this as someone who worked outdoors for years and generally tolerates heat well - It was unbearably hot in the room every time we stopped by during the day and it didn’t cool off meaningfully until around 3am. We did contact the front desk and they sent maintenance over in the evening who provided us with a fan, but it was clear from our conversation that they couldn’t do much more than that. And we were not the only folks suffering - our neighbors were at one point splayed out in their underwear. The other issue was water, which was totally workable for us but inconvenient. Around 5pm, when I assume everyone was trying to shower at the same time before dinner, it was seriously ice cold. Having grown up with a big family and a well, this wasn’t a huge hurdle for me, but I would try to time things accordingly. Mornings were always fine. And if we waited until later in the evening it seemed okay, too. Ultimately, the AC is the biggest issue. If these rooms had more reliable AC, I would recommended them without issue. As they are, I don’t think I would even with a big asterisk. Being exhausted from being at the beach, and having grumpy kids made grumpier by the inconveniences of life is all made harder when you’re cooking in your hotel room. For the price of the rooms, minimally, the AC ought to work. If we came back, we would definitely stay in the main hotel. Photo of the hotel fan, who was the hero of the trip. *** I wrote this last night and decided to wait to edit and post until the morning. The room is now cooler but I got ~2 hours of sleep and am so tired I’m not fit for additional debate with the front desk.

Careful booking through 3rd party sites, additional $28/ night add-on charge suprise for children over 9. Place has definitely declined in service, Hotel Rehobeth a better value in my opinion. I have been staying here for years, however after booking through a third party site and driving several hours, I was suprised at check-in with a new policy of a $28/ night fee for children over 9. This despite clearly providing the 3rd party site (booking.com) all of the pertinent information of all guests (2 adults , 1 child) when making the initial booking and being confirmed a price which I paid for. Only after extensive discussion and a manager having to get involved did they agree to not charge it this time. However, they wanted to make sure I knew they were notating it for my account for the next visit. Although the front line service staff is very friendly, a few managers such as the breakfast buffet supervisor (I assume blue shirts indicate that) were incredibly rude. Very unpleasant to have the breakfast buffet supervisor set at the door looking at his phone at 7:29 and rudely raising his voice at any of the guests who asked if they were open (open was at 7:30 and the door was unlocked, and he rudely raised his voice to a polite woman who was just asking if it was ok to come in) However, a very kind young man working the buffet front line was making up for the supervisors attitude (as the supervisor blew his nose in the back while people were getting food)… btw in the last few years that same buffet went from nice silverware to paper trays and plastic utensils, and strict limits. They may not charge a seperate resort fee, but if you compare pricing these “complimentary amenities” would seem to be priced into the rate. Not worth the charge, for the money I’ll go to Hotel Rehobeth from now on.

This was our first time to the area and at this hotel. We were greeted warmly by the desk clerk and he explained some things about the hotel and the city and the local businesses that we might be interested in- he was warm and kind and patient but thorough answering any questions and/or concerns we had. While we did not partake of most of the amenities we did eat breakfast on Sunday and Monday mornings. Sunday’s was my favorite specifically for the blintz’s and the pears. Monday was more rushed (the Staff was busy trying to maintain the breakfast bar and help Guest while receiving and stocking supplies). Some Guests were very verbal in their displeasure.

Went for a family dinner and had a magical night of amazing food, stunning service and wonderful drinks. The team which includes a new chef, and a some amazing servers really care avout your night. It shows in everything they do. Mike nailed it.

The first thing that grabs you is the beautiful architecture inside. It has beautiful stain glass windows, intricate woodwork on the floors and custom fireplaces. We were greeted and served quickly. The food is very good especially the seafood chowder which I had with a half as sandwich of chicken salad. There are many spots to sit including a big open covered porch. It's been a while since I visited here and it was just as good as last time. It's a little pricey here but worth it.

Very nice spot. Enjoyed a delicious and romantic Sunday brunch on the porch, overlooking beautiful gardens and historic downtown Lewes.

Great bar and friendly, professional bartender. Atmospheric building in Old Lewes. Just watch the free pour if you are from the UK and used to a measure!! Fun evening.

We had the ribeye and strip steaks, which were perfect! The sauce was a delicious complement to the steak. The service was great, too.

We went to the Buttery to celebrate our Anniversary. We were seated right away, ordered wine, and relaxed for a lovely evening. The food was perfect. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and kind. Never rushed us, but was always available. Best service and food in a long while. Perfectly enjoyable. Highly recommend. We plan to celebrate here again next year.

Went for dinner on a Wednesday night. Friendly service. Food was excellent. My wife got scallops which had a perfect sear. I had crab cakes which were full of very nice lump meat. My mother had the salmon and cleaned her plate! My father had a hanger steak and was very pleased. The sides we're tasty and well done. Presentation was nice. I was slightly disappointed they were out of the bone marrow appetizer but the seafood chowder was delicious as a second choice.

Such a gem in the center of a very commercial beach town. This is a haven to readers of all ages: adults, teens and children. There are special room, interesting programs and lots to read. They offer friendly help to get books, media or newspapers and get going if you’d like. They are connected to all the libraries in Delaware so you can request anything and have it sent to you. There is a bank of computers for public use. Very peaceful place to read, think and get informed.

I am a lover and user of public libraries around the country. Rehoboth Beach may not have the depth of titles in house, but the staff is so friendly and helpful, they will search all of Delaware to find your book. You can’t ask more than that. They are also good at suggesting titles and authors.

The most dedicated, hardworking, kind, friendly librarians in the state of DE! They go the extra mile to find films, books, and information for their clients. Always with a smile! If you use their services - Show your LOVE, they work hard during the season!

It was a great library. However, that's if they would have longer open hours. The main time to study is Fridays and the weekends. They close way too early. Matter a fact, they don't even open on Sundays at all. I would go again, but they just don't seem to cater to college students. Its more for public school kids that get home at 3:00pm and retired people.

The Rehoboth library is right in the heart of town on Rehoboth Ave, which seems fitting because it really acts as a kind of civic center, In addition to the usual collections of books. DVDs, and audio, they have a wealth of programs to appeal to every age group. Should be among the first stops for newcomers to the area!
