Villa Comunale di Sorrento is a charming park that resembles a town square and is a popular attraction due to its exotic plantings, seasonal flowers, and large shady trees. The park offers panoramic views of the Bay of Naples, with tourists flocking to capture the endless coastal scenery. Visitors can enjoy sights such as Marina San Francesco, Marina Piccola, Marina Grande, and Mount Vesuvius from the park's railings.
Amazing view of the sea and beaches! We really loved it. You can take a beautiful photo and then walk down to the sea and the beaches. On the way down, you get to enjoy the views of the charming houses in the hills and all the stunning scenery around you. I’ve also added a photo of the sunbed and umbrella prices — not cheap, but pretty much the same as everywhere along the Sorrento coast.

Villa Comunale in Sorrento is a truly fantastic spot that offers some of the best views in the city. It's a great place to just relax and unwind, especially in the evening. We spent some time there watching the sunset, and it was a genuinely calm and soothing experience. The panoramic views of the entire Sorrento coast from the park are simply breathtaking. The way the light hits the water and the cliffs is beautiful, and it makes for a perfect place to just sit on a bench and take it all in. It's a simple pleasure, but a great way to end a day of sightseeing and escape the crowds for a bit.

A beautiful park with breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. Peaceful and relaxing, with lovely gardens and benches to sit and enjoy the scenery. A perfect spot for a quiet break in Sorrento.

Beautiful spot with amazing views over the sea and Marina Piccola. well-kept area, perfect to take photos. You can also take the lift down to the beach. Definitely worth a visit while in Sorrento!

A fantastic public park offering commanding, panoramic views of the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. It's a peaceful spot for a relaxing break. Crucially, the park features a dedicated elevator down to Marina Piccola (the port) and the beachfront, making cliff access quick and easy

Visited the beach below the Villa Comunale the other day and it was wonderful! I paid 15 euros for a chair and changing room, which allowed me to sunbathe and swim in the protected area. I enjoyed food and beverage service and it made for a fantastic afternoon. I even had a visit from a sweet black kitty! I highly recommend it!

We stayed out of the city, in the hills, which was a €50 taxi ride one way, but our views were spectacular. End of October it wasn't busy and the weather was perfect.

Basilica Sant'Antonino is a centuries-old church located in Sorrento, Italy. Its Romanesque facade and grand nave with marble pillars and frescoes make it a sight to behold. The basilica's origins date back to the 11th century when it was built on the remains of a 9th-century oratory dedicated to Saint Antonino, the city's patron saint.
Stayed at an Airbnb right in the Square... excellent location to see it all within walking distance to restaurants, beach and ferry..

Quiet church with old paintings. St Antonio is a patron of sailors, fishermen and travelers. There are nice sea and sailoring themes inside. Don't forget to go downstairs near altar to pay visit to st Antonio himself. Must see if you consider traveller yourself. Free entry.

A beautiful church located quite in the city center of Sorrento. If you're visiting Sorrento during the summertime, there are A LOT of weddings that are held in this gorgeous basilica, so that's also a nice addition if you get a chance to take part in one.

The Cathedral of Saints Philip and James is one of the most important Catholic places of worship in Sorrento. It was built in the 11th century and has undergone several rebuildings over the centuries, most notably in the Baroque style in the 16th century. The cathedral is located just off Corso Italia, and features an impressive 16th century marble altar as well as Sorrento wood inlay choir.
It was beatiful i went there alone i admired the art despite not being religious i enjoy research about it this place has a beatiful history i recommend highly to visit if you have the chance i also advise everyone to donate whenever you can in places like this since it helps upkeep the art and it funds public schools, and even activities the churches plan most people dont realise this so i think its important to raise awareness

Sedil Dominova, also known as Bar 2000 Ristorante, is a historic structure located behind Sorrento's main square. Built in 1319 with a gothic style, it features a green-and-yellow-tiled cupola and sides adorned with arches, marble balustrades, and frescoes dating back to the 700s.
Despite being located in a highly touristic area, Sedil exceeded expectations in every way. The food quality was among the best we experienced in Sorrento—fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. Service was fast, courteous, and professional, adding to the overall positive experience. Pricing was also very reasonable, especially compared to neighboring restaurants in the same area. The location is lively and central, yet the dining experience felt calm and well-managed. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, respectful service, and excellent value in the heart of Sorrento.

Great service, we were looking for some quick and easy pizzas to takeaway after a long flight. Staff were very welcoming, offered us seats, and a drink, while we waited. Food was ready very quickly and pizza were very tasty that we ate back at our apartment.

We had 2 pasta dishes, one linguine con gamberetti and one pasta alla carbonara. The carbonara was good in taste but, both were a first in Italy, not being al dente. The shrimps in the gamberetti was without taste and had a bad feeling about them. Location-wise it was located in a nice square with a lot of people. The service was nothing remarkable, they were people there to serve but nothing beyond that. With everything else in Sorrento being dreamy this pulled us out of that dream.

Great resturant in the heart of Sorrento. Fantastic service and great food. Fairly price food and drinks in such a great location, take it easy with a drink and pizza as you watch Sorrento mozzy on by. Well worth a pitstop as you explore the bustling Streets of Sorrento.

Had a lovely experience here. Saturday night, the city is packed, but they were so helpful in finding us a table. The atmosphere was authentic thanks to the Italian musician they have. The service was quick and polite and the pizzas we had were so good. Bonus for being very reasonably priced. Points to jote- menu is split by meat, fish and vege. The specials were all pasta based. There are two restaurants in the small square and this one is opposite Bar 2000, which is also where the toilets are.

Raki near by had a very long line so we walked a few steps to find the place. They had great flavors and a bonus macaroon included in your purchase! My wife loved the Bounty(coconut and chocolate) flavor. Staff was friendly. We went 2 times in our 3 days stay. Would recommend!

We found this incredible Italian gelato shop on our first night in Sorrento. We came back all 3 nights of our stay. Maria was our beautiful host serving us the most delicious high quality gelato in over 20 flavors. She welcomed us each night with kindness and little extras and made our time in Sorrento extra special. They also serve a variety of other treats, drinks, food so plenty for everyone to enjoy. The shop is clean spacious with tables inside and outside. Location is so central to the heart of the Sorrento walking street. You will love this lovely shop.

We had the best gelato in Italy at Gelateria Il Duomo and the most delicious lemon cake prepared by Maria Rosa presented like a piece of art. Meraviglioso! We will be back, grazie.

Best Gelato in town! Me and my wife tried the “Ricotta cheese and Pear” gelato on our first night and we got addicted to it! We literally planned our next day in a way that we end it on a high with the same gelato. Unfortunately, the staff mentioned that the flavour was sold out. We got really bummed as we were actually waiting for the whole day to get our hands on the lovely gelato. After hearing our plight, fortunately, the lovely lady on the counter asked us to wait for 5 minutes. She came out with the fresh gelato of our beloved flavour and we relished every lick of it!!! Cheers to the staff, their kindness and love, and the amazing gelato they serve!!!

Avoid tourist trap, €12 for two beers they cost €4.50 for six in the supermarket down the road, in comparison a great little bar near the train station, 5 minutes walk €5. Don't mind a mark up bars have to make a living, only paid €14 in a 4* hotel rooftop bar which was expected but €12 in an ice cream parlour 🤣 WOW

Constructed in the late 15th century, Santuario della Madonna del Carmine is a single-nave church that stands on the grounds of a previous church. The building boasts an impressive early design and is dedicated to the Madonna del Carmine.
(Translated by Google) The interior of the sanctuary of the Madonna del Carmine is rich in pictorial decorations by artists active in the eighteenth century. For some paintings there is no author, for others the references concern the baroque style of artists working in the Neapolitan area. Of great artistic value is the sixteenth-century copy of the panel depicting the Madonna del Carmelo, the original of which is in the Carmine church in Naples. The vault of the church is embellished by a beautiful eighteenth-century painting by Onofrio Avellino, depicting the Madonna in glory with saints and angels.

(Translated by Google) The Santuario della Madonna del Carmine was built in the 16th century in the Baroque style, which is clearly reflected in the magnificent interior. From the outside, the church looks somewhat unusual: part of the yellow facade is partially covered by an adjacent building, which gives the external appearance something incomplete.

There are also side chapels with statues and paintings. (Original) De estilo barroco, fue reconstruido en el siglo XVIII sobre una iglesia anterior medieval. The small church known as Chiesa dell'Addolorata is visually appealing due to its exquisite statue of the Madonna Addolorara and a crucifix. This place has captivated visitors, who have left with stunning photo prints to adorn their homes. It comes highly recommended for anyone in the Sorrento area. Additionally, the main altar features a statue of the Mother of God that is particularly admired. Overall, this Christian church offers an inviting atmosphere and showcases remarkable religious artwork.
This church holds the the artwork of a local photographer and the inlaid wood work by a father and son who I think are third and fourth generation artists. I have purchased a couple of piece from both. The photography beautifully captures the culture of Italia through street photography. The inlaid wood work exemplifies the intricacy of the craft. I highly recommend visiting the church to see their art.

As you meander among the shops and restaurants in the narrow streets of Sorrento's Centro Storico be on the lookout for a very special church. Located on Via S. Cesareo, 47, Chiesa Dell' Addolorato was completed in 1739 under the direction of the noble families of Sorrento. Don't let the simple wooded doors that mark its entrance fool you. Instead be prepared to be awed by this Baroque period gem. Start by looking at the Baroque stonework above the doors. As you enter the church gaze at the far wall where a wooded Madonna looks down in sorrow at the death of Christ. The name of the church in English is the Church of Sorrows. Gaze at the pink walls and the white plasterwork, the original majolica tiles and the wooden sculpture of Christ on the cross. There are also some wonderful paintings by the 18th century artist Carlo Amalfi. The interior of the church is also the home of an art gallery. The black and white photos are the work of the world renowned Italian photographer Raffaele Celentano. He has spent more than 30 years capturing images of everyday contemporary life on the Amalfi Coast. The stunning inlaid wooden marquetry pieces represent an art form that goes back to the 14th century. Crafted by Calemma Niello these intricate pieces take hours to complete. The designs are unique and often depict scenes from the Amalfi coast, religious events and historical people.

St. Francis Church and Convent, originally a monastery dating back to the 7th century, consists of three main structures: the church, the convent, and the renowned cloister. It is a sought-after venue for weddings, especially during summer when ceremonies are frequently held in the picturesque cloister courtyard.

The Church of Our Lady of Lourdes has been attended regularly for three years, with quiet congregants at 9am and an uncertain turnout at 11am. The sermons delivered by Don Antonino and other parish priests from Meta, Massa, and Sorrento are renowned for their realism and relatability. These clergy members seem to possess a unique ability to connect with the living God without any cost or barriers. The question remains: How do they achieve this privileged access?
