I have been coming to the church for over 3 years now and I love it! I was at my darkest times when I started and the Pastor and the congregation has helped a lot for encouraging and supporting me through it all. Everyone here has full of positive energy and the service is simplified so that you can understand the Bible verses better. The love of everyone is incredible. So come on what are you waiting for, let’s pray and be joyful. God is moving within amongst us all. Have a blessed day.

Amazing atmosphere and vibrant church, the people are great. I felt a warm welcome when I first walked in. Pastor and Wife are such lovely people. Most importantly the word of God is preached and there's an opportunity for your faith to keep growing!!!

The first time I went to Potters House pentecostal church, as I was getting out of the car in the parking lot outside, I could feel the Holy Spirit already and I knew this was going to be the best church to attend. After attending for about 10 months and getting baptised, I can definitely say I am in the best church for me to grow as a born again Christian. Everyone is very friendly and encouraging. Pastor Daniel is very informative and my inspiration to become a good Christian. I ask everyone to at least come one Sunday just to see?
Luigino W — Google review

Got there and it was nice . it was a fresher's week thing so I got a leaflet while I was on to way to job hunt. At the service they had music (lol they know what they are doing ) and a message...I completely changed my heart.I went to a Christian Church before but the way the pastor delivered the message...now I've decided to take God seriously on a new level . I would recommend students, adults, kids..anyone to come because its truly worth it. Also don't worry about race, there is a blend of everyone there. Black Asian, white everyone so you will feel welcomed

Wife works here so was only dropping her off. She speaks highly of the people here and my daughter attends this church too. Lots of activities through the week for various parties like mum and bump, toddler groups, craft sessions etc. I'm not religious myself so can't comment on the services I'm afraid.

More than a decade ago pastor Andrew Gardner helped me on my Christian walk. I liked the church back then. I still enjoy reading of all the developments. It is of help for people with a need for increased financial literacy to have a course provided by the mature experts on biblical stewardship. Your congregation was charitable and I felt spiritually and socially at home.
Marcel M — Google review
The people are friendly and welcoming. The Bible teaching is clear and interesting often backed with visuals. The worship is led by talented musicians in bands with every sort of instrument and lovely vocalists. There is sign language for the deaf. Behind the scenes, prayer and counselling is available - pastoral care - care for those who are struggling with life's personal battles.

Booked in to give blood here, which was in the main hall / function room. Lovely friendly calm venue, much better than the others used for blood donation. Friday prayers were just starting in the temple room next door as we were leaving, lots of friendly smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. Already booked my next donation here. My son has previously been as a visit with Scouts to learn about religions and also had a very welcoming experience.

A gem for Preston. Except they need to up their game with Google listing and events updates on their website. A lot of information is outdated and would be nice to get live information from time to time. Went here for the festival of Diwali. The people were welcoming. Temple is big spacious and has all the main deities. The place also benefits from a large indoor room for communal activities and events.

The church boasts a diverse congregation of all ages, ensuring that everyone—from young children to seniors—feels included and valued. I attended Crossgate one Sunday after losing my beliefs as a teenager. 20 minutes in I had tears streaming down my face as I felt that it brought me back to God. I am now a regular visitor and feel that it has changed my life for the better as I was lost. The services with its songs and prayers really are relevant to your everyday life and make you want to spread the word and be proud of worshipping the lord. I now know even if I ever feel alone that he is there and he loves me x

I have been here twice . I just moved into Preston. As a first time visitor , I feel not welcomed . No first time visitor were called during or after service as most churches do . It won’t be such a bad idea to welcome first time visitor at every service , at least to keep a record of new people coming into the church, Get to know them, make them feel welcomed and loved. Great Praise and Worship songs , Amazing preacher, Aesthetically pleasing environment though.

Easy access from main road for drop off and pick up points for taxi etc. Parking close by if you choose to drive. Toilets are lovely and clean too with loo roll always on hand! Pool is cheap per game aswell! Recommend for a good few pints on any occasion 👌

The church hosts a listening team on Monday mornings, providing individuals with the opportunity to speak with trained listeners in private or engage in informal chats at the cafe. The volunteer staff ensures a warm and friendly atmosphere, making it an ideal spot to relax with a cup of coffee and indulge in delicious homemade cakes.
I am part of a listening team on a Monday morning. If you need a listening ear for a problem you are experiencing, need some advice on where to get help with a specific problem or just need to get something off your chest, call in or ring to make an appointment to either speak to a trained listener in private or chat informally to someone wearing a 1 to 1 badge in the cafe. The 1 to 1 team is at the cafe Monday and Thursday mornings from 10am to 12noon. Or if you just want something to eat and drink you will find a warm welcome at the Methodist Church on Lune Street. Went up the spiral 172 steps, was steep but worth it. Views are amazing. The staff were very friendly & welcoming. They send you up in groups of 3, so don’t worry about slowing others down, we’re all in the same boat catching a breath to reach the top. Worth booking in advance. The money raised from the tour goes towards the renovation.

The rose window is absolutely beautiful and quite a pleasant walk from the city centre. The people welcoming at the door were happy to welcome me. The spire was open to book to see the top but I didn’t have time - maybe in the future. Tickets in advance on eventbrite to go up the spire.

Lovely building with lots of history. Fab staff guided us up the spire and ensured any questions we had were answered. Bit scary at first as the staircase is very steep but worth it for the views. They only open the spire a few times a year but well worth a visit anyway as the church itself is stunning. Needs repair inside but they're trying their best 🙂

Preston Minster, also known as St John’s, is a captivating parish church nestled in the heart of Preston, England. Renowned for its stunning Gothic architecture and intricate stained glass windows, this historic landmark offers visitors a glimpse into the region's rich cultural heritage. The towering spire adds to its charm, making it an essential stop for anyone exploring the area. Beyond its architectural beauty, Preston Minster serves as a vibrant community hub where regular services and various events foster connection among attendees.
Preston Minister formerly St John the Divine is quite close to Preston Station. It is a fine imposing building. If travelling a distance, it is worthwhile to contact the church office. My visit was facilitated by the very helpful staff. I was incidentally shown around by the vicar who was a very welcoming and warm man. The church has an active outreach programme to all sectors of the community. When I visited there was a job finders support session happening, helping people into work. The church has some very beautiful stain glass. And whilst the worship area is more, to my eye centred on the nave, the choir and sanctuary area is used by youth. The choir stalls look quite ample compared to some I have seen in monastic settings. The font has moved station and is beside “The Loyal Chapel” , The North Lancastrian Regiment. And there are many memorials to officers and men who served and those who died. I visited to see the Hans Feibusch painting at the “West” end of the church opposite the altar. The scene is a post resurrection appearance of Christ to his disciples. Through it is often said to be the sermon on the mount. It is post resurrection, because the working cartoon of the painting shows the wounds of Christ in his hands (these are not apparent in the final seen version). With permission one can go into the balcony below the painting and see the work up close. It is dated in the bottom left. In the balcony one can also see up close the details of two of the carved/moulded heads that appear at the top of the columns and the gold angels supports the roof. A visit to the church is highly rewarding. It is a busy city church but a place of quiet and prayer.

The priests overseeing the church and shrine are from Nigeria, bringing a unique cultural influence to the community. Visitors have described their experiences as spiritually rewarding and peaceful, with many expressing gratitude for the pastoral care provided by the priests.
It was the most beautiful church I have ever been too. I was drawn to this church 2 days ago to say thank to Jesus for making me better as I have had numbness in both of my legs for the past 2 weeks. I found it hard to walk but this morning which was Saturday 30th March 2024 my legs felt good and I felt back to my normal self. When I got to the church with my suitcase and food shopping I felt like I was home. Not really sure what was happening but I felt wonderful. I was looking around the church and the graveyard and felling like I don't ever want to leave this place again. There was a market going on in the big hall next door to the church. I went inside and asked the two lovely ladies that had a stall which had the most beautiful cushions and little nick nacks that they had hand made. I thought it was wonderful and decided to buy all my grandchildren a cushion each that would reflect their personality. Then I asked the two ladies if they would look after my suitcase and food of bags. They were lovely and said yes they would. I remember on of the lady's name is was Caz but couldn't remember the other one. I then went into the church and was walking around looking at all the beautiful things that was happening in this church. I felt like it was my church lol 😆 a very funny feeling. I then sat at the confession desk and said my confession out loud. I then went back to the hall bought the cushions and also bought these lovely personalised gift bags from two lovely women. One of them her name was Sam sorry but I can't remember the other lady's name. They was selling these bags foe charity they were putting lovely things in the bags but you didn't know what was on it. It was a surprise, well I thought what a lovely idea so I choose 7 bags for the ladies in my family. They were £1 each and I could not believe it. I then spoke to Sam saying I wanted to move in this area and was looking for a flat to rent. But I would get an airbnb for a few days to check out the area. It was shocked myself because only a few months ago I came to this church and loved it and the area and the people here were so friendly. I said to my friend Ed at the time how much I loved it but would never be able to afford to move here. Well can you believe it that its all happening so fast and I am now stilling in a beautiful 3 bed detached house in bed typing this up. The house is beautiful and done up just the way I like it. It is an airbnb I must admit but I am going to ask the owner if I can rent it. It is now 8am Monday morning. I am dew to leave this beautiful house at 11am. To be continued xxx

I visited St Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Fernyhalgh today and it was a most enjoyable experience. It is outside of Preston on the road to the Ladyewell Shrine in Fernyhalgh. The two are a short walk from each other. St Mary's is a small but nice Roman Catholic Church with a lovely garden and well maintained grounds which are neat and tidy. The Church has a lovely stained glass window as well to look at. The Priests for the Church and the Shrine are from Africa, from the country of Nigeria. I would recommend a visit to St Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Fernyhalgh in Lancashire.
