Unbelievably beautiful cathedral! Have seen quite a few in my lifetime but this one was special. Beautifully restored and not too busy. Loved the inside even more than the outside.

If you are only in Chartres for a few hours spend them visiting the incredible and Architecturally astounding Cathedral. Being the first UNESCO awarded and supported further by the volume of original stain glass. If able to stay for the evening the light show on and around this Cathedral and the surrounding Chartres centre is highly recommended.

So if you don't have coins like me, you can still use your card to pay to lit a candle or novena. The hours of the priest are written on a card board inside. The confessional is brightly litten and has a priest waiting inside for anyone who wants to confess theirs sins. This is unseen for me before today in France. There is also a treasury room which you have to pay to access it. Overall a great place to visit. I advise to park your car at the parking lot of Cathedral. There almost non existant place to park there.

I do have a concern though. The little fish pond was so green and no noticeable pump to oxygenate the water. The fish were struggling . Not a great expense to sort it out.

I’ve never professed to be a huge art lover but I really enjoyed visiting this home! The history behind it is important so get the info leaflet from the entrance. Well worth the 10 euro entrance. This is a 30 min to an hour visit.

We were very moved by our visit here. It is rare to feel so connected to an artist and the feeling behind their work. He turned recycling in to an art form, well ahead of his time! To turn a humble little dwelling in to such a surprising work of art was inspiring. A must see.

If you would like to be amazed by mozaïek works, you definitely should visit this place. It's a nice walk from Chartres city Centre. At the maison itself you can't stop looking at all the different art works. In every little corner there is New mozaïek to discover.
