Wedding venue
Located in downtown Providence, Grace Episcopal Church is a historic landmark with a corner location. Designed by renowned architect Richard Upjohn, it is the first asymmetrical Gothic Revival church in the United States. The church offers weekly mass and welcomes visitors for worship and tours. Additionally, it features a modern event space connected to the historic building, making it an ideal location for various events.
Wonderful service, very nice people. Wish the mics were a little louder. It was the choir's last day before summer break and the music was amazing. Service was a little long.

Friendly, inclusive, welcoming church community, with a magnificent interior. The antique organ is currently undergoing repairs but the original pipes are beautiful, as well as memorial stained glass windows. It is a fusion of gothic styles, designed by BOTH Richard Upjohn and Ralph Adams Cram!! Definitely worth a visit for this history, and a beautiful place to pray.
Anwen P — Google review
The worship was so nice Rev. Jonathan gives the 2nd best homily I’ve ever heard after my dad who is a Pastor of course. The people are so warm, my first service, and every service, I am greeted at the door with smiles so bright it always gives Genesis 1:3 The Episcopal Church celebrates an open table communion arrangement, an opportunity for non members to participate in Lord’s meal, and it is celebrated as often as we meet. The service caters for people of all ages. If you love music and choir singing, the church has an amazing choir, with wonderful songs, the singing is always so good(I can hardly keep up😂) If you’re visiting or you’re looking for a Church family this is a place to be. At the end of the service there is a blessing and the Rector Rev. Jonathan, always invites everyone to grab coffee and a snack or two, as he takes his time to engage with the laity with the assistance of Rev. Hylton who serves as the Assistant Rector.

A beautiful church with remarkable history. If you’re like me and you just passed by it for years without going inside—STOP! GO IN! They’re so kind and welcoming. It’s just so peaceful and truly stunning.

Loved the blessing of the animals! And the choir, of course, as usual.
Sarah R — Google review
I would leave no stars if it were an option, this review is a reflection on the Grace Church based on its abandonment of its burial ground on Broad Street. The grounds have been neglected, abandoned, and vandalized for decades now. They claim to "focus on the living" and say they offer services helping the poor and their are no funds to maintain the cemetery, that being said the church and its "pavilion" seem to have no issues spending money on material items and restorations. Money was taken be these deceased individuals and their families, the desecration of their graves is on you, your staff, and clergy who have made the decision to not keep up your end of the bargain, it is shameful.
Zac B — Google review
My goddaughter and her husband were married there. Old Episcopalian church, in the middle of downtown Providence. Absolutely beautiful, olde style pew boxes, many artifacts adorning the premises. A truly wonderful occasion.
George O — Google review
What a lovely church. I was warmly greeted and given a program at the 10:00 am mass. The choir and organ sounded beautiful. The bells sounded wonderful. The presider gave a great sermon. I am a gay man who felt very much at home here. Thank you!

Churches & Cathedrals
The Cathedral of Saints Peter & Paul in Providence offers a serene escape from the city's hustle and bustle. With its Gothic architecture and stunning stained glass windows, the cathedral is a sight to behold for both music enthusiasts and architecture aficionados. While the surrounding square may have lost some of its former vibrancy, the cathedral itself remains a breathtaking example of architectural beauty.
Gorgeous church! A must-see when visiting Providence. We attended a noon mass. The priests message was very meaningful and well received.
Laura — Google review
Absolutely stunning architectural design! Went for 1 pm Sunday mass. Loved the smell of incense the beautiful stained glass the pews. The peaceful quiet and presence of Gods spirit were strongly felt. I am not Catholic but really enjoyed visiting and partaking in the service.

This is one of the most beautiful churches I’ve been to in Rhode Island. Everything was beautiful and grandiose. The details were very on point. Would definitely go to mass here every Sunday.
Thetravelercarl — Google review
This Cathedral is absolutely gorgeous! We could feel God's love as soon as we walked inside! The music was absolutely beautiful, between the organist and the vocalist it was amazing! We are looking forward to attending another service soon!!

My daughter was married Friday August 1. It was a very long road. First off, the communication was horrible. For a couple these days who wanted to be married in the church is not common. We are lifelong Catholics but they made it extremely difficult! Instead of being welcoming, this church made it difficult every step of the way. The rehearsal is a whole other story! Awful! We got off the trolley on the day of the wedding to an angry face. Not looking a us just saying “get in there”…… Now comes the ceremony, priest did not have on a mic. It’s a big church and the people could not hear the vows. We asked to have mics so people could hear. The church wonders why people are leaving the church. I’ll tell you why, STOP making it so difficult to get things done and communicate.
Maryellen F — Google review
The Cathedral is absolutely beautiful. Breathtaking architecture has been maintained and restored throughout the years, and the structure is truly an architectural marvel for anyone of any denomination to appreciate. The ornate design is paralleled only by the acoustics which lend to a truly magical experience when listening to voices and instrumentation in concert or during Catholic mass. The pipe organ is a marvel in and of itself! Numerous performance groups hold concerts at the Cathedral, and Roman Catholic Mass is celebrated weekly. Parking is limited and it is best to use the metered parking on the main road or to pay to park in a lot. Wear appropriate shoes for walking on cobblestones and uneven sidewalks, and scarves and gloves are a must in the winter months when the side streets leading to the Cathedral act like a frigid wind tunnel. There is ample seating for just about any event, due to the building's immense size. Bathrooms are clean and fully accessible. An elevator is available for those who require it.

This was out first visit, excellently beautiful church and mass was a good service but for some reason not many other people there.

Lucky to have made it in. The Church was locked, but we ran into a sister who was going into the office, she contacted maintenance, and they let us in to pray as they cleaned the church. Was not let down, a gorgeous interior.

The First Unitarian Church of Providence, with a history spanning over 200 years, is a beautiful and historic landmark. The church offers free guided tours once a month, allowing visitors to explore its fascinating stories and architecture. It's known for its warm and traditional Sunday services, attracting both locals and visitors alike. Additionally, the church has been associated with significant figures like Thomas Ahlburn and has hosted events such as the Wednesday night NA meeting.
A nice church. Their post church area in the back is interesting They had little snacks in the back at the end like chips and veggies. The set up is old (as it is a really old place) but they added in various pride flags and BLM to try to make it feel modern. The event I attended was members and invite only but there are options
Nicole G — Google review
My Dad took me to see his church and ring the bell. Well kept building for it's age and history.
Emily D — Google review
I feel inspired to be the best version of myself after every sermon I attend. The inclusivity, shared love, and inspiring people who are a part of this community provide me with hope, strength and purpose. I have visited many churches to find one that is a “perfect fit” and have landed here. Reverend Liz’s message of compassion and love for others and God is unparalleled.
Adrian S — Google review
I love Unitarian churches for they believe in all religions and spiritual ways. No pressure like other religions who shame and scare you into believing their way is the only way!! Namaste!
D B — Google review
Warm, open and welcoming congregation. Intelligent, open-hearted minister whose preaching is uplifting and challenging. Amazing choir and music. A huge array of programs to expand human connections and nurture the spirit. A haven for all types of families and people of all ages. Many opportunities to assist in charitable outreach to the larger Providence community. and so much more... I love this place.

I was visiting Providence for the weekend with a friend. We were taking pictures of this beautiful historic church when we were energetically invited inside for a tour by a church member. He told us all about the history of the building and even took us up into the clock tower! It had left such a great impression on us that we decided to come to the Sunday Service on the following day. The service was surprisingly crowded and had a very warm and traditional nature. The music was extremely professionally done, and the minister was very welcoming in his message. After the service, many people stopped to chat with us and introduce themselves. I had never been to a Unitarian Church before and liked some of the philosophies I heard about while visiting. I especially liked the reiterated focus on coming together as one, despite our differences. There also appeared to be a lot of different activities going on and things to get involved with at this church. I would definitely recommend checking it out. If anything, visit the building for it's fine example of preserved early nineteenth century architecture in Providence.

The United Church of Christ Beneficent Congregational Church is a welcoming and inclusive church that offers services that are meaningful and relevant to its congregants. The church has an amazing choir and daycare, as well as a understanding Sunday School program.
Warm and welcoming! I was church shopping years ago and this was my first and LAST stop! We are diverse in every way, but have the same mission: to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.
Beth H — Google review
The building was appealing to the eye, but the church is not appealing to the soul. An immense amount of heresy starting by “proclaiming” the name of Jesus Christ but mentioning and treating God as a woman. Same with having an “all inclusive” church is just another excuse to bash the name of Jesus Christ and what a Christian church really stands for. Truly disgraceful.
Santiago C — Google review
All inclusive service. Very welcoming all people. Meaningful and relevant sermons.

Very unique piece of the Providence skyline with the enormous emerald dome. One of the earliest buildings in Providence it is quite spectacular. Nice interior as well though far less ornate than Catholic and other huge churches.

Nestled in the heart of Providence, the First Baptist Church in America stands as a testament to history and faith. Established in 1638, this monumental church was constructed in 1775 and is recognized as the oldest Baptist congregation in the United States. Its striking steeple and architectural design draw inspiration from British influences, making it a significant landmark within New England's historical landscape.
A beautiful old church, and knowing how it all happened and how the gospel came to the US is amazing. It's worth the visit. I got to sing one of the songs in the hymnbook, it was amazing to be there.

A beautiful historic building centered on College Hill in Providence, RI. Still standing on the founding principles that brought Roger Williams to this location in 1638. "We reserve the right to accept EVERYONE".
AnnMarie B — Google review
Historically, it certainly has a place of significance but from a spiritual standpoint, it is so far removed from what Roger Williams established it to serve as, is now disheartening.

The Episcopal church Saint Stephen's is a beautiful place with friendly people. It offers a great worship service and is a great place to visit. The choir is amazing, and the organist/choir director is a professional musician.
I'm named for this parish, as my dad loved being a parishioner here when he went to Brown back in the day. It's a beautiful building and their services are wonderful. The last time I was here the Bishop of Rhode Island was preaching, and it was a great experience.
Steve F — Google review
Beautiful building, able to walk in and enjoy the stained glass paintings and pretty architecture.
Chase L — Google review
I visited here for the noonday Mass on a Friday in Lent, and enjoyed my visit so much I came back for Stations of the Cross that evening! It was an absolutely wonderful visit; the Rector and parishioners made me feel quite at home while I was there.
John W — Google review
A stunning church building, but more importantly, the people are incredibly warm and welcoming. I visited once many years ago and didn't find it particularly friendly, however, I gave it another chance 3 years ago and the vibe had COMPLETELY changed. People welcomed me, the rector remembered my name the following week and I got nothing but smiles and welcomes. It's become my church home now., I'm happy to say. The worship service is Anglo-Catholic (or "high church") Episcopal - very beautiful. The music is amazing - a brilliant organist/choir director and a professional choir that will knock your socks off. I'm so glad I went back a second time - this place is a jewel.
Betsy D — Google review
A very nice place. They are all very friendly. I had the opportunity to see the choir rehearsing with organ music.

Squantum Association, a historic wedding venue in Rhode Island, has been hosting memorable events for over 135 years. The exceptional waterfront location is perfect for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and photo opportunities. With beautiful views and historic buildings, the venue offers attentive staff to assist with event planning. Guests rave about the phenomenal food and overall experience. The serene location and high-quality service make it an ideal choice for couples seeking a picturesque and memorable wedding celebration.
We took a trip to squantum today to check out the property for our future wedding. I have to say it’s probably one of the most beautifully located venues in the state. Right along the bay, you will find stunning picturesque views here. Which would be great for wedding photography. The tour was great as was our guide, Julie. She was very knowledgeable, and answered all our questions with ease. The facilities are rustic and beautiful. I don’t think you could be disappointed here. For what you get in the wedding packages the price overall, is well under any other venue we visited in RI. It’s a hidden gem. We look forward to working with Julie for our wedding in 2026.
Kyle P — Google review
My daughter got married at SA in July 2024. It was magnificent, and Tina, Justine and the chefs went over and beyond in their efforts to make the experience magical. Do not pass this opportunity to experience a wedding people will talk about for months. The food and hospitality are among the best I’ve experienced. The staff are fantastic.
Jane L — Google review
Squantum gave my husband and I the wedding of our dreams. The staff, especially Justine and Tina were remarkable to work with, every question was answered, Justine floated thru the entire night, doing small things that didn’t go unnoticed (giving us a plate of each of our apps set up at the sweetheart table for when we sat down, serving beer at the beginning of cocktail hour to assist with the crowd, fixing my wedding topper when I broke it myself, moving our cigar table from outside to inside as we got a quick downpour, boxing up leftovers to bring back). That is exactly what you want from the venue coordinator. The grounds speak for themselves- beautiful. Coming from a large family, we were voted to have the best wedding food ever. And to be honest, for the greatest day of our lives, the price was so totally reasonable, so many venues nickel and dime you on everything- Squantum was transparent right away, no surprise fees attached and we appreciated that during the planning process. Aka just sign the papers and get married here!
Michelle C — Google review
Tina, Justine, and the entire Squantum Association team helped set an incredibly strong foundation for our 2024 wedding. The entire planning process was transparent and straightforward, and you couldn’t ask for anything else while planning a wedding. I could breathe a sigh of relief knowing I had Tina and Justine’s expertise to rely on. Our guests raved about how beautiful the venue was, how great the food selections were, and how friendly the staff was. Squantum Association is a true hidden New England gem and a perfect choice for a couple looking to have a great experience at a great value.
Audrey J — Google review
Historical grounds, lovely looks of the Narragansett bay paired with a great menu. A gem of a spot.
Sennen C — Google review
Hands down the most amazing wedding venue I've ever been too. The dinner served was the best I've had at a wedding, for one. It was absolutely fantastic. Filet minon with mashed potatoes and asparagus, all made perfectly. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful also. The many different buildings are amazing. The view is beautiful.
Peter P — Google review
I've had the privilege of shooting two weddings at this venue so far and have found the portrait locations, the staff, the food, and the experience to be of the highest caliber. It was a pleasure to collaborate with the coordinator and, let's be honest, getting to take photos of a cannon being fired is pretty freaking cool. I highly recommend Squantum Association for your wedding venue, either for just the reception or for the ceremony as well as I've captured both.
Ian C — Google review

Churches & Cathedrals
Nestled in the heart of Federal Hill, the Church of the Holy Ghost stands as a cherished landmark for Rhode Island's Italian community. As you approach this stunning church, its tall bell tower and golden cross glimmer in the sunlight, reminiscent of Italy’s architectural beauty. This sacred space is not just a place of worship; it serves as a spiritual home for families who have deep roots tracing back to their ancestors from Italy.
One of the most beautiful churches I have stepped foot in. An amazing spiritual family and beautiful Italian Mass and choir at 10:30 every Sunday. The mother church for Italians in Rhode Island, my family’s parish since my great grandparents came from Italy. No other place like the Holy Ghost.
Zac B — Google review
⭐️⭐️ (2 out of 5 stars) As a Protestant, I’ve recently felt a calling to pray the rosary. I even purchased one and wanted to have it blessed, so while in Providence for business, I reached out to the Church of the Holy Ghost. I first called on a Friday, asking if a priest would be available the next day. Their answering service took my message and promised a call back. No one ever returned the call. On Saturday, while within walking distance of the church, I called again. Same result—my information was taken, but I received no follow-up. It is now Monday, and I have still not heard back from anyone. For someone outside the Catholic tradition reaching out in good faith, it was disheartening to be ignored entirely. If the Church prides itself on “serving the community,” responsiveness should be a basic part of that. Unfortunately, my experience left me unimpressed and disappointed.

Nestled in a picturesque and family-friendly neighborhood, St Pius V Catholic Church stands out as a beacon of community and faith. This vibrant parish offers an array of programs catering to all ages, including an engaging young adult initiative that fosters connection among its members. The friars are known for their heartfelt homilies that inspire reflection, while the sisters greet everyone with genuine warmth, creating an inviting atmosphere where newcomers quickly feel at home.
Great church. Confessions available at good times

Love this church. Very welcoming. When looking for a mass in English, my kids and I were lucky to find St. Pius.
DGM S — Google review
This parish has a lot going on. Daily confessions, daily Mass preceded by The Holy Rosary, Stations of The Cross after the Friday Mass during lent, and periodically they offer seminars and Bible Studies prior to, and sometimes after Daily Mass. There is also a fair share of Dominican priests from Providence College who celebrate daily Mass, offering an array of perspectives on the Faith. The only issue I see, and it's a deal breaker for me, is that the priests, deacons and lay ministers do not use hand sanitizer prior to distributing the The Holy Eucharist. Being a senior citizen with a compromised immune system, I can't risk catching a virus. Receiving The Holy Eucharist is the sum and summit of our Faith, uniting our entire being with Jesus, and with God The Father and The Holy Spirit, since our Triune God is inseparable. I've been in St.Pius parish my entire life. From baptism, school, first communion, confirmation, wedding and sadly my husband's funeral 4 months ago. Father James and Father Pat were both a tremendous source of comfort to me and my family throughout this most difficult time. I love my parish. 🙏🙏🙏

A warm and welcoming community, very active. Preaching always well done. The priests are very good at explaining the historical facts with ideas on how to apply to my personal faith life. I've always had good experiences with confessions, also.

Saint Pius always amazes me. They have a fantastic young adult program, beautiful masses and is located in one of the most gorgeous and family friendly neighborhoods in the area. The friars always give beautiful and inspiring homilies, the sisters greet everyone with their warm and welcoming personalities and the parishioners make it easy to feel like you belong. I am so thankful to have found Saint Pius!

A beautiful Parish celebrating Christ, the light of the world and the love of God in every way. A great community of believers. There is something at St. Pius V for every demographic. The Friars are very welcoming spiritual Fathers to the body Christ in a great neighborhood!

Nestled in the heart of Providence, St. Thomas Catholic Church is a charming parish that radiates warmth and community spirit. Recently, I had the pleasure of attending my niece's kindergarten graduation there, an event that was both nostalgic and uplifting. The atmosphere was filled with joy as families gathered to celebrate this milestone together. St. Thomas is not just a place for worship; it’s a hub of activity where friendly faces greet you at every turn.
Size in any House of Worship is never a reflection of the Spiritual Mystique within. Attending my niece's kindergarten Graduation at St. Thomas Catholic Church was a quaint, subtle, heartwarming experience. A breath of fresh air ❤️ Reciting the Pledge of Allegiance with the graduating class brought back fond memories of a time when I did so daily ~ not in a Catholic School✨ Father Soares embodies what I believe should ignite a return of youth to actively seek Faith in times of turmoil...Go Celtics!!

St Thomas Catholic Church is a gem of a parish. The people are friendly and welcoming. There's always something to do. There are knitting groups and family events often held throughout the year. There is a Food Pantry on Tuesdays to serve the area's less fortunate. The choir is always looking for new voices, if that is your thing. Check it out! Saturday 4pm Mass, Sunday 1030am.

Lovely church and it’s members. The priest is a gem. When we needed him to come and visit a loved one who could use love, he went above and beyond. So comforting and truly a man of God. Thank you

Extremely loud and incessant talking and laughing before Mass did not allow quiet time for prayer. Does the Gloria need to be gilded by CONGA DRUMS and doorbells? I have never attended such an irreverent Mass in my 67 years. Shameful!

Father John is a good guy who is down to earth. No airs or pretenses. Everyone I've ever encountered at St. Thomas are very friendly. The Knights of Columbus are also a very active council that interacts with the church community.

Central Congregational Church is a beloved local church with a warm and vibrant community. Members praise the welcoming environment, vibrant youth programs, and incredible music that enriches their lives. The soaring ceiling and beautiful windows create an inspiring space for worship. Visitors are encouraged to experience the kindness of the congregation and enjoy the sense of family within this loving place. It's considered a credit to the UCC, with friendly people who are always ready to help others.
A beautiful church with beautiful music and an even better community. It has, in many ways genuinely saved my life. I know it seems antiquated to people of my generation- I was born in 2000- but the traditions which Central have kept alive are some of the most profound and touching parts of the Christian faith, without letting itself grow sedentary in its perspectives or ways of thinking. Central is an open and affirming church that nevertheless embraces the strong heritage of Christianity, and I think that’s an amazing thing. There’s nowhere else I’d rather worship God than Central Congregational Church.

It's gorgeous inside I will give it that. But they sing really old outdated hymnal songs I couldn't get into the worship music and even the sermon held no conviction or punch. I would say leave this church to the older people.

Hope Events on Main is a versatile wedding and event venue situated in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. It's housed in a beautifully restored mill building that exudes an industrial rustic charm. The space offers various areas for different parts of the event, such as a shopping space for the ceremony with excellent acoustics, a popular bowling alley for cocktail hour, and a flawless reception space. The venue fosters a community atmosphere and has received praise for its attentive staff and meticulous event planning services.
My husband and I had our wedding in January of 2024 at this venue and it was absolutely perfect! The staff was very helpful and accommodating and made sure our entire night went smoothly. We did catering through the venue and it was delicious! I’d fully recommend this venue to anyone looking for a unique wedding experience.

This hidden gem is amazing! My wife had my 50th birthday party here and everything was perfect. The beautiful venue, staff, and food was great! We had about 90 guests and there was so much room. The staff was so accommodating and very polite. I highly recommended having any event here.

I held my wedding at Hope Events on Main in September 2024 and it went so well. The event coordinator was quick to respond to my very specific questions, and they were extremely helpful through each stage of wedding planning. From booking the venue, to being transparent about pricing & options, to our big day where every staff member was friendly and helpful! I would get married here over & over again, and our guests have not stopped talking about the venue. The pricing is extremely reasonable with a restaurant onsite, and the food was delicious! All of my outside vendors mentioned that Hope Events on Main was a great venue to work with, and that everything was taken care of. If you choose this venue, you will not regret it!

I love when old factories are repurposed and turned into very creative spaces. This building had lots of charm. The room was very nice for a wedding. The service and food was on point and staff very accommodating. I was the DJ for this wedding February 8 and I was very impressed.
Michael F — Google review
Great old venue revamped ! Food was good , Not enough people serving the wedding . Only one bartender and left dirty dishes on the sweetheart table the entire wedding! Several glitches like that. They need to tighten up a bit. But otherwise, it's a good time.
Tamra R — Google review
Hope events was such a stunning venue, we got countless compliments on the difference spaces and how much fun everything was. We rented 3 spaces for our March 2025 wedding, one being the breakdown bowling bar which was a MASSIVE hit! And was something everyone enjoyed so so much. Every photo in every rented space was stunning and was a dream. While the venue was absolutely gorgeous and I would recommend it to anyone who’s looking to get married in a more industrial looking setting I will be honest and say the day wasn’t without some hitches. First I would like to HIGHLY recommend and notify you that if you do use this venue you will need to hire or request the help of friends/ family to decorate the spaces how you desire. The day of coordination only sets up the tables, chairs and the basic linens that you rent from them. Any other signs, candles, florals etc will have to be set up by you. This wasn’t the end of the world for me but it should definitely be of consideration when you book. I would also like to recommend the possibility of hiring your own outside coordinator while the coordinators were so kind and did the best they can to ensure things went well, there was definitely a lack of communication with regards to how everything will/ should be run. It was with the help of 2 friends that our day was able to run as smooth as possible and my wishes were able to come to fruition. The largest thing that I would emphasize with this venue is the fact that up until the scheduled wedding it is a PUBLIC space. So there were many random people looking around and in all the different spaces. We were hugely disappointed when a family was touring the venue just moments before our ceremony and just mere seconds after my first look with my father. I did bring this up to the venue was I was extremely disappointed in the fact that this was something that occurred. They were remorseful and stated they will attempt to be more observant of these things so that other couples don’t have to have people invading their intimate moments. There were some hiccups as with every wedding but our day was so perfect regardless. I would highly recommend this venue! The food was fantastic as well! I can’t forget to mention that. The hors d’oeuvres were delicious and highly enjoyed as well as the cantina station/ pasta bar and salad! We loved the food and enjoyed it very much!
Karina D — Google review
I got married at Hope Events on Main in March 2024. While the venue itself is beautiful and offers great potential, the planning process and communication left much to be desired, making what should have been an exciting experience unnecessarily stressful. We booked the venue in December 2022. However, from the start, communication was inconsistent. Initially, we were told outside catering was allowed, but during the tour, we learned it wasn’t an option anymore. Despite this disappointment, we loved the space and moved forward. We paid the deposit and were told we’d get a contract later, and when we asked for a floor plan, we were repeatedly told we’d get it “closer to the date.” The tastings were a major issue. The first one was a disaster – the food was bland, greasy, and poorly cooked. Alec, who attended, apologized and directed us to Jackie, who assured us that our concerns would be addressed. The second tasting was better, with the chef meeting us, telling us he had mistakenly left out key ingredients but took our feedback. We gave him a few more notes but felt better. When we found out they’d hired a new chef shortly before our wedding, we pushed for a third tasting. Jackie initially resisted, saying it wasn’t standard, but eventually agreed. Unfortunately, the third tasting introduced new issues, with some dishes completely different from what we had previously tried. Alec apologized again but offered no solutions. When we expressed concerns to Jackie, she became defensive, and the conversation felt more about appeasing her than addressing the problems. As the wedding approached, communication remained difficult. After asking multiple times for a floor plan, I asked in a Facebook group if anyone had one, which prompted an immediate response via email from Jackie. Details like our contract were also unclear; Jackie said our paid invoice served as the contract. She also asked if we wanted a rehearsal but later sent an unexpected invoice when we said yes, claiming a fee was required if staff was involved (which we didn’t ask for, told her we didn’t need, yet they still showed up and half heartedly assisted, which made things even more confusing). On the wedding day, things continued to go awry. Guests got lost trying to find the ceremony location and saw me in my dress (despite being on a different floor).. Despite multiple reminders about my difficulty with stairs, Alec didn’t give me the heads-up we’d discussed, leading to an awkward timing gap and confusion among guests and my wife. While we took photos, we sent vendors to get food from cocktail hour but not much was left as staff was eating it. During the reception, the food was different again. My chicken piccata was rubbery with congealed sauce, and my plate was cleared without asking, while I was sitting at the table talking to a guest. We had a large dessert table with a small cake and assorted treats and planned to enjoy some later, but by the end of the night, most of it was gone. A family friend who coordinated later told us she saw venue staff packing desserts, assuming it was for us, but the box was actually taken to their car. Sadly, my wife and I didn’t even get to try some of the special desserts we’d chosen, which we had planned to share with the staff. Our vendors did an amazing job bringing my vision to life, and our friends and family had a wonderful time on the dance floor. However, the venue staff’s lack of organization, poor communication, and repeated mishandling of key aspects made the planning process and parts of the day unnecessarily stressful. Ultimately, the venue has potential, but I cannot in good conscience recommend it. The beautiful space isn’t worth the gamble unless significant improvements are made to how they operate. Despite the length of this review, it is only a brief summary of the issues we faced.

This FSSP church celebrates the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass ad orientun and in Latin. As such, it restores the beauty, solemnly, and truth of the Mass. Reverence, discipline - these are what lead to true joy and knowledge of the Catholic faith. The choir sings Gregorian poliphony and plainsong. Exquisite. Though you may not know Latin, learn it - at least a little. You will likely be well rewarded.

Absolutely beautiful church building, reverent traditional liturgy, and lovely singing by the Schola. It was very helpful to have confessions during Mass also. Beautiful church and Mass. Inspiring. My only problem is that when watching online there has been a very loud intermittent yelling from a child that disrupts constantly throughout the service. I can't imagine how disturbing it must be for anyone sitting near them. Clearly the child is not able to attend public places where listening is critical. I have been watching the mass for 6 months and the child is often present at any of the times. I feel dread as soon as I hear it. I wish the parent would be more considerate of others. Oh well!

I discovered St. Mary's through a friend over 2 years ago. No prior experience with the Extraordinary (Latin) Rite. I have been attending since. The pastor Fr. Berg, as well as all other priests (Fr. Kodett, Fr. Rock) go above and beyond in delivering sacraments, instruction, and excellent homilies. This parish also has a wonderful community, never felt like an outsider. Definitely worth checking out.

Last month I went to a Latin Mass at Saint Mary Church in Broadway, Providence for the first time, and I left the Church confused and lost. Today I watched for two hours a teaching video of a Latin Mass for priests and I loved it! My next visit to a Latin Mass will be much easier to fit in. I read a lot about the Latin Mass to educate myself. When the Church stopped saying the Latin Mass in 1962 I was about two years old .... that explains my confusion! I will be discerning now which Mass I should go on Sundays. I never like to receive Communion from lay people, unfortunately on vigil Mass and Sunday Mass it happens a lot. At the daily Mass usually you can get communion from the priest at local parishes. At the Latin Mass I felt so close to Heaven and God when I was watching the Mass this morning. ( The Latin Mass and the New Mass are so different...as in night and day.) I pray to God I will be able to join Saint Mary Church on Broadway as a parishioner ( I live in West Warwick) in Jesus name through the intercession of Mary! Blessed be God and Mary! Let it be done to me , my Lord and my God! Amen. BLESSED BE THE LATIN MASS! I pray it comes back again in Jesus name through the intercession of Mary! Amen. Blessed be God and Mary!

While its historic charm means there are no elevators, making it less accessible for those with mobility challenges, the beauty of this old church and its friendly congregation make it well worth a visit.

I haven't been here in over a year but it is a very beautiful church and I had to see it for myself because I go to St Mary's in Newport which is also a beautiful church and we had a priest fr. Visitors often remark on the kindness and gentleness of the Armenian people who frequent this church, creating a sense of camaraderie among families in the neighborhood.
It's a beautiful church. I went for a funeral service. They did a wonderful job, and also had a common room for after the service that held a lot of people. plenty of off street parking. It is a well maintained place.

Great place of worship. I live near here and I love watching the cute little Armenian old ladies walking to and fro. Definitely worth seeing! the thing I like most about this place is the Armenian people. They are very nice and gentle people and very kind. They are wonderful people to have in the neighborhood because they have nice families and they are very nice to each other and they treat the neighborhood very well. They also treat the neighbors very respectfully and they are just a great neighbor to have.

Great energy. I visited and felt right at home. It’s enough space to breathe and the energy was a blessing❤️

I was Very disappointed in the Horrific treatment I received while I fellowship at this church. I was physically assaulted by its supposed “Christian Church members” and their children. My family and I were actively attending services there on a regular basis and due to this tragic Altercations we haven’t attended this awful church since. I definitely would not recommend this church to anyone. It’s not very welcoming or friendly. In fact I have heard the members of the Congregation verbally insult the preacher’s wife on many different occasions. I was completely appalled to hear such harsh comments and remarks from their members while sitting in the congregation. It’s very sad they don’t value their pastor and his wife. Nor the visitors and members. Not the kind of place I would EVER want go again. Once my family and I stopped attending, the Pastor nor his members didn’t even bother to reach out and see what happened. Not very Considerate or Christian like.. Wow! What a church. their actions or lack thereof speaks volumes to the horrific treatment I received while I fellowshipped there. Worse church experience EVER!!

Not sure how the church is, as I haven't attended service yet, but I wanted to forewarn anyone interested in the 7pm bible study on Tuesday that is advertised on the sign outside the Door. That for some reason that is a MENS ONLY bible study. No idea why it says "adult bible study" yet is only for men. Just wanted to warn anyone else who was walking by and is a woman and thought "oh how nice I will check that out" pretty embarrassing for me to show up in a group of men 🙃 but luckily I live right around the corner so I didn't have far to drive back home. I then asked where the women's bible study was but apparently there wasnt one....there is an online one on mondays i think. But i feel women need fellowship in person just as much, if not more, than men. I also feel that sign needs to be updated to avoid any future confusion and embarrassment. It should say adult MEN bible study. Not adult bible study. You can even just laminate and tape the word MEN over the sign if you can't afford a new sign. Thanks to the pastor for handling the situation kindly though. Have a good day. EDIT:went for a service and was ignored the whole time except by one welcoming lady who came and gave me a hug and welcomed me but they talked alot about race in the sermon which I found weird how he was saying so much about race but that made me look around and then I saw everyone was African American or Portuguese (hence the Portuguese services they hold) that's fine with me but there was not a single other white person there. I noticed then on my way out the African American man who was telling everyone goodbye at the door completely skipped from the AA lady infront of me to the AA woman behind me saying have a great day sister.... WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING AT ME this was very hurtful to me because I don't care about color at all infact not a single friend of mine is white but it seems they REALLY care about the color of your skin which is why I'm 100% sure there are no white people here. Because they came and saw how they were treated. GOD views everyone the same! infact Jesus himself had tan skin. In this day and age why would we treat anyone different based on their skin tone? Sadly I'll never set foot here again.

My partner and I went to church here today and were warmly welcomed into a beautiful sanctuary. The congregation was very friendly, diverse, and conversational. The service had great music, good scripture pulls, and the pastor gave a wonderful sermon that didn't avoid calling out social issues as they are and was true to Jesus' teachings of community care, truth telling to power, and good mischief. Lovely church and nice experience.

This church is a safe haven...it is grounded in Christ's love and is without judgement. Pastor Sarah brings a heart of healing and reconciliation and Pastor Ken brings a heart of helping those in need and encouraging others. If you are seeking a true community based worship experience, this would be the place to be. The outreach is growing and if you have a heart to help others who are in need...your ideas and creativity to advance those ideas will be embraced. We all come to the alter covered in God's grace and mercy.

A reviewer wrote, 'whose preaching has theological and intellectual depth and is both prophetic and mystical.' Really? On the church homepage: 'Community Church of Providence is a place where you are free to bring your authentic self.' Really? Also, 'Diverse in ethnicity, backgrounds, family structure, worship styles and theology....' There cannot be diverse theology. Otherwise, it is a false theology. Truth is exclusive, not inclusive. Preaching that is 'mystical' is not of Jesus but of the devil. A church should open its doors to welcome all to be cleansed by the blood of Christ and to give up one's self, not celebrate it. Dear CCP leadership, repent and stop leading people astray. Read Revelation 2:1-29 and examine your wicked hearts. You are like the church of Smyrna, Pergamum. Thyatira, and Sardis. Repent!

I have been a member for 20+ years. They are progressive, while remaining true to their historical roots. They welcome everyone and are far less prescriptive than you might expect. They don't debate the small details that divide so many of us. This is difficult to find today's churches.

This place has much of my heart. Amazing spot; full of spirit. The soul of a Mediator & the sanctuaries where such people meet are powerful places.
Kiwi K — Google review
I've been to the mediator for one UU gathering, several of their open mic nights and I've rented their facility many times. They are pleasant and very helpful and the rental is a decent price.

Church
Beautiful church and perfect place for a worship.
Proches A — Google review
A very puritan style chapel located oddly above a museum display. There is a very New England church feel here with the stark white pews and walls and no decorations. All in all pretty non descript. At least the museum scared me on the way out as some ancient art sculptures were staring at me. Or were they really statues?
