Tucked away in the vibrant NoDa district, Birdsong Brewing Co. is a charming brewery that has been delighting craft beer enthusiasts since its inception in 2010. Founded by the dynamic husband-and-wife duo Chris and Tara Goulet, along with their friend Conor Robison, this establishment was born from a desire to escape corporate life and create something special for their community.
We had a great time at this brewery, enjoying their fantastic selection of beers, free peanuts, and excellent atmosphere. We made the most of the beautiful weather by sitting outside at one of the many picnic tables. I really appreciate that this brewery caters more to adults, creating a relaxing environment without the distraction of unsupervised kids running around.
Andrew M — Google review
We always make sure to make a stop at Birdsong when we are in town. Mike and Nelson took excellent care of us on an otherwise quiet afternoon. Lots of seating available inside and out and fun but not too loud music. Peanuts a plenty and a food truck outside made for a very pleasant afternoon.
Lisa M — Google review
Awesome craft brewery with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Most pints are $5-6 which is such a relief compared to other breweries in the area. Weekly specials are even cheaper. You can use all that money you saved to tip your bartenders! 😁
Zander B — Google review
My wife and I love Birdsong. We have started going there at least once a week, as it is just off the trail it is a great reward after a long walk. The bartenders, especially Mel, Neilson and all the others are spectacular. The beers are always great. Just had Party Starter (Oktoberfest) and it is sooo damn good. Also you can’t beat the prices. For a craft brewery to keep their prices this reasonable is a rarity. It is always a welcoming space. They do allow dogs, which we aren’t dog people, but most of the dog owners that go there are respectful and don’t allow their dogs to misbehave which we are grateful for. All in all it is a must visit brewery. Get a Rewind Lager, enjoy the music which is always great and unwind. Keep up the great work!!!
Adam S — Google review
Lovely people and bartenders who make an effort to get the right beer for you. I appreciated the samples to find the right fit. I liked the vibe and the lack of TVs. There's boardgames you can check out and plenty of books. Good stuff.
Laura M — Google review
Cute little craft brewery in Charlotte. Parking is available in a small lot or on the street. Indoor and outdoor seating available. No food options other than a food truck but they do have bowls of peanuts on the picnic tables outside. They offer year round, seasonal and limited release beers so a nice selection. Tried their Rewind Lager (4% ABV). Very light and refreshing. Definitely a fun way to enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon!
John M — Google review
I’m not a brewery fan, give me a winery any day. However I was here for a special event, and I had their blueberry strawberry sour and it was so delish and refreshing. Place was spacious and very clean. They had a live dj going and a food truck, so I can definitely see it can be a fun place to meet up with some friends and just vibe out when weather is great.
Cynthia R — Google review
Visited Birdsong for the first time, great beer with a good selection and something for every palette. Was pleasantly surprised with the Jalapeño lager and chocolate raspberry stout. The location has plenty of indoor seating and outdoor seating, some with fire table and others with outdoor heaters. Also love it when breweries offer free tasting portions to help choose your beer, thanks Birdsong! Hope to come back soon!

NoDa Brewing Company - North End is a laid-back barroom that overlooks the local brewery, offering free tours and periodic live music. It was the first brewery to establish itself in NoDa, opening its doors in 2011 on N. Davidson St.
Great beer selection. Large parking lot. Kid friendly. Dog friendly. I had my first ever raw beer. A beer that was never boiled. They sell cans cans and make crowlers for beer that is not canned.

The Carolina Quencher is absolutely my favorite beer 🍻 Most importantly, we always enjoy spending time here because they go above and beyond to operate a state-of-the-art brewery with special events and food trucks. They are LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 friendly and support the community through meaningful events such as their 5K Run. We really love and highly recommend this adorable brewery.
Christian P — Google review
This is a beautiful establishment with a wide range of seating options. The venue is large and there is also an outside venue where dogs are welcomed. The drinks are amazing and the staff are super friendly. This is a great place to visit and relax with everyone, even your animal companions. Thank you NoDa Brewing Company for a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning and we highly recommend this place.
JOEY B — Google review
We loved going to NoDa Brewing when we lived in Charlotte-it was one of our favorite spots. The Tin Kitchen food truck was always there serving up consistently delicious food, and the outdoor patio made it the perfect place to hang out with our dogs. Great beer, great vibe, and always a good time! We miss it dearly and look forward to a visit on our next NC trip
Whitney L — Google review
I went here today for a paint your pup event. It was run very well and the woman that runs the program is very nice. The beer was good, and they have a new pizza corner that opens up tomorrow so they were handing out “tester” pizzas. We got the caprese pizza and it was VERY good. The man in charge was very friendly and I appreciated the free pizza! This place is great all around.
Mady P — Google review
Attended the vegan fest here this past Sunday and it was a whole vibe! They're still working in the area, so it made it a little difficult to find the entrance , but after that, we had a blast! The brewery is nice. The festival is kid friendly. The food trucks were tasty and the music kept us dancing. If you get a chance, definitely pull up. You won't be dissasppointed. They have some seating, but you can always bring your own.
Nikki — Google review
Have been stopping here since they opened but they are losing it. Very expensive flights, make sure you sample your beers limit 3 now before paying for a beer, once you buy, NO MORE FREE SAMPLES. Crazy customer treatment for this OG brewery I used to love. Not a place I will recommend any more. Their current philosophy is a loser for craft beer taprooms, where they originally were great! Please close, better available breweries
Jim F — Google review
Incredible local brewery! One of the oldest in Charlotte and it really shows cause they know what they're doing. Beautiful location & cozy taproom. Would recommend trying the Captain Peanut Butters Foggy Morning (pictured) it's a peanut butter porter aged for 1 year (!!) In whiskey barrels. It was fantastic.

Wooden Robot Brewery is a modern redbrick brewery located in Charlotte, with a rotating selection of draft and to-go beers. The brewery offers a cozy ambiance with comfortable seating and dim candlelit lighting, making it an ideal spot for couples. It's conveniently situated near other attractions like Jenis Ice Creams and a cat cafe on North Davidson Street. Wooden Robot Brewery prides itself on being an Urban Farmhouse, utilizing local ingredients such as fruits for their beer offerings.
Absolutely fantastic coffee spot! The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting, with a stylish loft-style interior that makes it a great place to relax or get some work done. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall experience. The coffee here is top-notch. I first ordered a cappuccino along with some crab cakes, and both were absolutely delicious. Later, I decided to try a cortado, and it was just as excellent. Highly recommend this place if you appreciate great coffee and a cozy ambiance!
Volodymyr B — Google review
Wooden Robot was a really fun and quirky brewery, with great IPAs and an awesome outdoor setup. I loved the artwork that adorned the walls of the establishment, which even included a great piece of art in the restroom! Like I said, my IPA was great, and was just one of the many that the brewery had on the menu. Overall, Wooden Robot was an awesome brewery, and I'd love to come back in the future to try some more of their brews!
John D — Google review
Great selection of beers. Extremely friendly staff. They were offering me samples every time I went up to the bar. Food is limited, but very fresh. My daughter loved the chips and queso. The chicken sandwich was fresh and not greasy. It does need some hot sauce or more flavor in the breading. My husband liked his cheeseburger, but for a smash burger it was missing the buttery crispy edges, French fries are a must. Get a full size order. They would do so well if they offered all kinds of dipping sauces. The fries are so good, but hearty enough to withstand some added pizzazz of mayo, ketchup, mustard, chili sauce, and cheese based dips. We’ll go back or even try the NODA location.
Clayton A — Google review
Had a 4 1/2 hour layover after spending a week with my bro in Miami on my way to Munich (Oktoberfest). 12 Dollar for the fries and the burger.. great Pilsener selection. Would come here again. Service is fast and friendly.
S. P — Google review
Wooden Robot Brewery is a gem in the heart of the city, offering an exceptional selection of craft beers that cater to both seasoned aficionados and newcomers alike. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with rustic wooden accents and a lively vibe that makes it an ideal spot for socializing or unwinding after a long day. One standout beer is their "Ghost in the Machine," a New England IPA that boasts a hazy appearance and a burst of tropical fruit aromas. Each sip delivers a delightful balance of juicy hops and a smooth mouthfeel, making it dangerously drinkable. The citrus and stone fruit flavors linger pleasantly, leaving you eager for another round. The brewery also offers a rotating lineup of seasonal brews, including stouts, sours, and lagers, ensuring that there’s always something new to try. The knowledgeable staff are more than happy to guide you through their offerings and recommend food pairings from their onsite food trucks, which complement the beer perfectly. In addition to the outstanding beer, Wooden Robot Brewery frequently hosts fun events, from trivia nights to live music, creating a sense of community that keeps patrons coming back. Whether you're stopping in for a quick pint or planning a leisurely afternoon with friends, Wooden Robot Brewery is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience top-notch craft beer in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Our first stop in Charlotte. Huge, clean Brewery with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. I had the Robitico, it was clean crisp and refreshing.
Mike K — Google review
Run, do not walk, and buy some Currywurst (they call it curry fries) while they still have it on the menu for Oktoberfest. I lived in eastern Germany (Leipzig) for 2 years, and Currywurst is everywhere. The brat is American level spicy, actual German brats are much milder. But the sauce is absolute perfection. Pairs well with the Botoberfest bier. Prost!
Matt N — Google review
This place is incredible for Celiacs like me! My fiancé and walked in here during our vacation not knowing that almost ALL of the beers are gluten reduced - what an amazing surprise that was for me! I was able to try so many styles of beer (most for the first time ever) and had absolutely no gut issues or reactions afterwards. For those who don't care about the gluten - my fiancé said there's no way he could tell the beers were gluten reduced, and he would definitely order them again if he saw them on the menu. 10/10, would recommend to anyone with gluten intolerance or Celiacs. I recommended the sours, especially True Survivor!

The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery & Biergarten is a popular destination in Charlotte, offering a unique blend of brewery pub and outdoor beer garden. It boasts the title of being the oldest and largest in the southeast, providing a lively setting for visitors to enjoy house brews, live music, and delicious food truck snacks. The spacious eight-acre Biergarten offers plenty of room for kids to play while adults can savor their favorite drinks.
I’ve been here twice now for two events the brewery has hosted! Both times were so fun!! The outdoor atmosphere is so nice with so many places to sit. Tried some food today and really enjoyed it! I got the Turkey BLT—so so good would definitely get again. I mac and cheese was okay but didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the meal as a whole at all. My boyfriend the smash burger—he thought it tasted good (a little mustard heavy though). He also ordered the Mecktoberfest Special Beer which was great! I can’t wait until there’s another event here to come back again!
Kaitlyn M — Google review
Visiting from out of town and was told by locals to come visit. They were not wrong! First of all, I didn’t expect such a large, beautiful bier garden so close to downtown. The whole vibe outside is chill and relaxing. We had their pretzel and smash burger and both were awesome. But the beer…WOO! Each beer was just as great as the last and the beertenders were very knowledgeable and helpful. The Hazy IPA recommendation was spot on. If you find yourself in Charlotte please make this a stop. I’ll definitely be back here when we come visit again.

I’ve been coming to OMB since 2016, and it’s still my forever go-to brewery in Charlotte! The ambience is unbeatable, with spacious outdoor seating, great music, and a relaxed vibe that’s perfect for hanging out with friends. It’s also surprisingly family-friendly — plenty of open space and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages. Whether it’s a sunny afternoon or a cool evening, OMB always delivers a great experience. If “Friends” had their Central Perk coffee shop, this is mine. After nearly a decade of visits, it’s safe to say OMB will always be my favorite spot in Charlotte.
Sandeep M — Google review
Mainly here for the atmosphere, DAVE’S post birthday party, trivia night and we won 1st place. First time here was for a kids birthday party. She turned all of ONE YEARS OLD, but a true testament of just what to expect or not. Great experience each time, FUN TIMES!!! Food was good also! Typical bar food, but I’m picky so don’t mind me on this. The layout of this place is AMAZING, & so was the sunset!
Johnie — Google review
Fantastic spot for German-style beer and comfort food! I loved the fresh Copper Altbier and bratwurst, enjoyed the huge shaded biergarten, and appreciated the family- and dog-friendly layout. Friendly staff, live music, clean and peaceful. Perfect for a casual day or festive night out.
Francisco M — Google review
Having previously visited the Ballantyne location, I approached this establishment with similar expectations. The layout, particularly the outdoor area, presents a commendable design. My order consisted of the doner kebab bowl, modified to exclude spicy chili sauce and tomato and cucumber salad due to personal dietary restrictions (tomato). The resulting dish was exceptionally well-prepared. The server, whose name I unfortunately did not retain, provided attentive and accommodating service. I had intended to document the garden and exterior through video recording, but the file was inadvertently deleted. Overall, the experience was highly positive. *Please note that the monthly features are not available on the weekends.*

We love OMB and from the moment we moved to Charlotte we knew it would be a place we'd frequent. It was a no-brainer having our wedding reception here in May 2025. I have all great things to say about this location and the staff. Our point of contact was Emily, and throughout the entire process she was nothing short of AMAZING. She was always accessible, had great suggestions and ideas and was accommodating to our needs. We had a private tasting to decide on our menu, and they made sure to make us feel special with personalized signs and private seating. And let me just say, the food was OUTSTANDING! My husband and I had a hard time deciding, and all our guests sang praise to the taste. And the dedicated team to our day was so sweet! It was an amazing day, thank you all for making our day be that much more special! We are very grateful ❤️ The Cruzes

The taproom features original brick walls and rustic wooden decor, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere for visitors.
I was in town to see a really good friend of mine, that I haven't seen in 25 years. We went during the festival of some sort. There was a band playing some fantastic music with some awesome psychedelic slideshows going on behind it. The best friend had a beer which was amazing (i tried it) but the people were even more amazing. Everyone was super nice. There is a variety of vendor sit up selling everything from t-shirts to crystals to art. To hot dogs.... If you're ever in Charlotte by highly recommend if you like a good beer.

Hey, Good (People of) Charlotte, you got a great thing here with Triple C, and if you've slept on it, rectify that. There's a not-subtle stoner vibe present, what with the Grateful Dead(ish) logo. Breweries and stoner vibes go well together. See: Ocelot Brewing near Dulles and Widowmaker Brewing up in Braintree, MA. Service is quick and friendly. Beers tried included one of the better Japanese rice lagers out there, Kei Truck, and their Golden Boy blonde ale. The on-site food truck, Izzy's, is absolutely on point.

Triple C Brewing Company might be one of my favorite breweries in Charlotte, North Carolina. I know that’s a big statement but there’s so many amazing things about it. The staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the beers. They’re always willing to let you try stuff. I love the space. It’s not super bi and it’s dog friendly. The beers are amazing. They have some of my favorite sours and their ginger seltzer is one of the best things I’ve drank here in Charlotte so far. Of course the biggest part is their resident food truck Izzy’s. Everything I’ve eaten there has been incredible. I absolutely love their vinegar fries, the beer, cheese, the chicken thigh, nachos and the wings. Everything is always so fresh and delicious and they are super friendly. Can’t wait to go back!!
HJC — Google review
Attended a food and wine festival hosted in their barrel room across the street and in their parking lot. Beautiful brewery with plenty of seats and shade. Parking can be a challenge though because their lot is small and parking on surrounding streets can be nonexistent depending on time of day. But nothing an Uber ride can’t fix. While I was there was able to meet recording artist Anthony Hamilton…day was beautiful and the event turned out wonderful.

Pretty good brewery with an interesting twist, they focus on the “percent” local ingredients and actually measure that on their display boards with each beer they have. Quality is good, not amazing. Location is good with a outdoor area and projection TV and stage. Good place to swing by.

i come here weekly for the live model drawing sessions they put on! the bartenders are always very nice and attentive, the drinks are so good my favorite is their current seasonal drink with the persimmons. they have a very welcoming vibe here, i totally recommend visiting!

Nice brewery! Had a lager and a hazy IPA while here. Both beers were solid for their style. I just visited Salud Cerveceria Brewery before this and while Free Range may be a bit below their level it’s still an enjoyable brewery nonetheless. Staff were very friendly and personable and definitely elevated the experience. I’d visit again and get some higher ABV options next time.

Went to their annual New Year’s Day free soup event, and it was so cool. Literally free, of course can give a donation but they don’t require it. So many soups and breads and baked goods to chose from. Everyone was so friendly and just there to have a good time with yummy eats. I’ve never gone on a regular day, but the vibe I got there was awesome. I’d definitely want to go back and check them out.

Easy spot to grab a drink in Camp North End. Cute patio out back with city views! I really wish they had cocktails (they have liquor but no cocktails). I improvised by getting the frozen lemonade and having them add vodka. It was good!

Lenny Boy Brewing Co. is a prominent microbrewery and tap room situated in Charlotte's South End neighborhood. Established in 2011, it initially focused on producing non-alcoholic kombucha before expanding into certified organic kombucha production. The brewery offers an array of flavorful probiotic drinks such as ginger, beet, strawberry, lavenderade, and blueberry yerba mate.
Nice brewery! I really loved the atmosphere here. Cozy and comfortable. Beer was good, and so was the sandwich and pretzel!

Beautiful spot to grab a drink with plenty of parking even on busy event nights. The atmosphere is superb. The plants are beautiful and I love the copper tones and warm lighting. Steven and Becca are very helpful and friendly, with lots of knowledge on the beverages with great recommendations. As someone who isn’t jazzed about sours, and prefers pale ales, the sours they have available are enjoyable which speaks volumes about their craft. I enjoy the events they have as well, especially wrestling. Highly recommend this spot for drinks, gatherings or relaxing. I enjoyed working on a small project here. I was not rushed by the associates while working on my drawings while enjoying my beers, either. I think this location elevates the environment with its intentional displays of tasteful plants, and art, and you don’t get that with a lot of breweries these days. Some breweries are very rugged and bare bones, and more production focused than presentation focused. Lenny blends their production side / equipment into the building which is subtly visible from the tap room and it adds an industrial touch to the already beautifully balanced interior of the building. They support local art as well, which is admirable.

Nice selection of craft beers. Had a sour and hazy ipa, both great. Just a few things to eat but both sandwiches I tried were tasty. It was too hot outside to sit but the inside area had a nice family friendly vibe

Friendly staff, sweet indoor space with hanging plants and plenty of outdoor space as well. A top notch brewery experience! The beer experience was great as well, I had a belgian trippel, as well as a sour, and both were crisp, satisfying and enjoyable to consume. They are also somewhat dog friendly (dogs allowed outside, with a gate kind of like a dog park).

Great beers with friends here. Staff is phenomenal. Lenny boy is the next big brewery to come out of Charlotte. Darts and corn hole and boardgames. If you don't like beer they have a variety of non alcoholic kombucha. The food truck that serves here changes from time to time. Pretty big location. They used to allow dogs inside but unfortunately it's outside only now.

Fantastic. Lenny Boy may just be the best Kombucha in the world. The experience is wonderful because the staff is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The art work all over the walls is really intriguing. Oh and they have a plant show and a artist marketplace... the food is simple but really good.

I like their beer and their kombucha. Today they had a strawberry inspired selection and live music. They have a variety of beers and kombucha flavors for everyone. There’s plenty of inside and outside seating. There are 2 bars and 2 large rooms. They have a good food menu as well! Great place to go with friends or even on a day date.
Sable — Google review
NC's only organic beer and great kombucha! Can't beat the kombucha! I really like the way they experiment with beer. Recently i have gotten into sours and wild ales and this is one of the few breweries that has them. Should be moving into their new facility by labor day! Update on 4/23/21...Chevalier Stout, possibly the best bourbon barreled aged stout I've had!

Heist Brewery, located in the NoDa neighborhood, offers a vibrant brewpub experience with an industrial setting and a spacious patio. The venue boasts high ceilings, televisions, and a lively atmosphere, making it ideal for group gatherings. The menu features inventive pub fare such as burgers and flatbreads alongside their own craft beers brewed on-site. Additionally, Heist Brewery is known for its top-notch cocktail offerings and weekend brunch options.
Really can't wait til they reopen. We've been a handful of times mostly for brunch. Service is Quick even on Holiday weekends like Easter weekend. $22 for brunch buffet was awesome! $10 for carafe of mimosa even better!!! 95.__ sanitation score Servers always super nice even when the Place is busy. The buffet always has Lots of variety. The omelettes are made to order with a little sheet you fill out.I get a Scramble made to order they're a little bit on the small side but filling/satisfying. My favorite is the Waffle station always great toppings including fresh berries. Bummed they had kk donuts not Reigning Donuts like before but could've been a one off cuz they had had some tech problems that weekend I was craving donuts. Seafood boil had crawfish they weren't the best I've had but they definitely satisfied a craving. Bacon can be hit or miss since the mass bake it. Sausage links and patties ok. Fruit was good. Ham was good. Cream puffs were a delightful surprise. Eggs were good but a lil cold needed lids for the food to be honest. I'll definitely be back as soon as they're up and running again. Shrimp and.mussels good. OJ and apple juice options too. They also had a cute Easter bunny giving out hugs and candy and taking pics very cute touch one of the last times we went.

We held our rehearsal dinner and wedding welcome party at Heist Brewery (in the Canteen Space) and had a wonderful experience. The food was great, the room itself is super spacious and Courtney was a wonderful event manager. They worked with us to customize a menu and set up the room exactly how we wanted it. The Canteen Space has everything you need, including a large bar, stage, speakers and projector. We didn't really even have to bring much decor because it's a great space on its own!

Seen this place on a youtube video but by the time I made it in their menu had changed. Well enough I didn’t find to many items i was interested in. Had steak skewers that were severely underserved portion wise (for 16 dollars) but they tasted well. Also, a wrap and sweet potato fries. Food got a solid 5/10. The ac was broken so as they let more people in it did get hotter.. I wasn’t impressed or maybe it wasn’t the place for me. *** They a nice parking lot compared to other places in the area!

This review is solely for the brunch! Love the brewery otherwise! They've raised the prices of the brunch and gotten rid of the included drink. It's now $22 (plus tax and tip) for mediocre food. Not really worth it for the food but the location and the environment are fun. Plenty of parking and you'll pay more for food elsewhere. The omelette was ridiculously greasy. I just wish the food tasted better.
Vinamra S — Google review
Decade old Charlotte brewpub turned pillar of beer scene continues to provide reliably excellent craft beers (hazy IPA, pastry stout, fruited sours - sure - but also more traditional styles too) and delicious food. Expansive space with two bar rooms, one including table service, and a great outdoor patio. Friendly staff are happy to help you find what you’re looking for. Service is fast. Just a great place to get great beer, eat delicious food (we had the amazing cheese fries and Brussels appetizers and the chicken waffle tacos and pork tenderloin skewers - all delicious), people watch, and relax. Dog friendly.
Rick H — Google review
Great food, great drinks. Parking is limited and spots are pretty tight. Seating is open and mostly group-seating long tables. Food was prepared quickly and delivered to your table. Only downside is food is a little pricey for what you get ($14 for 3 sliders is pretty steep imo), and their menu isn't as robust as it was pre-pandemic. It is convenient that you can order food and drink at all the bar, so it can all go on one tab. The guy at our bar station taking orders was awesome and never had to re-ask us our name after the first order. We'll definitely be back, but probably just for drinks from now on.
Christina J — Google review
I don’t like to give less than 5 unless something happened that made me not want to come back. I’ve been here a few times and usually enjoy the food. The beer is where it’s at though, I very much enjoy their selection. We came during lunch on a Friday and it was an overall good experience. I got the Cesar chicken wrap, it was just okay. I would’ve liked to see it be saucier and maybe have Parmesan cheese in it. It was a bit dry so that’s my suggestion. We also got the quesadilla, as pictured. Overall, I’ll be back. The service was great and the atmosphere is good.

I have been to many restaurants and brew houses, this has by far been amongst the top best places to drink. We had such a great dining experience. Bryan was a terrific server who made excellent drink and menu recommendations. We had to let his manager Monica know how excellent of an experience we had. The drinks were delicious and the food was outstanding. We love in Greensboro, an hour and a half away, and I am willing to come back just to eat and drink here. My apologies for the vulgar video poking fun at Guy Fieri’s autograph plaque. I have no respect for that guy and think he is an insult to the food community. But, I highly recommend anyone to come here and enjoy the food, drinks, great service, and ambiance.

I hosted a party of 120 in their private room. I can’t say enough great things. Absolutely phenomenal on all accounts. The service was SPECTACULAR. The food was great. Coordinating the event was easy. It was such a fun, incredible night. All the guests told me they had a fantastic time.

Great location huge with tons of tables tvs, and entertainment. Huge counter top with great views of the brewery! Super clean and friendly staff great selections of beer and drinks. Staff was awesome. Food was underwhelming. Plenty of options, but price point to quality has a disconnect. Prices are for upper tier food and quality was more or less hole in the wa grease spoon.

Wow! I can’t believe I never came here! What an absolute treasure. This beer garden serves up craft brew from 4 different brewers and spirits from another. The choices are off the charts! Another wonderful experience so good that I didn’t even remember to take pictures of all the wonderful food we had during our time. Between the phenomenal hospitality and delicious food I got lost in such a great time here! Shoutout to Cooper ,our wonderful server, that facilitated such a beautiful experience for us! We were just stopping in for a quick lunch and left with so much more! I want to give another shoutout to the manager Brad for taking the time to stop by our table and check on us making sure we were doing good! A wonderful touch that really escalated a casual lunch date to one of our new favorite spots we can’t wait to visit again ! Please try their imperial cider when you come in 100/10❤️

Shavoyah with Offline - This is a nice intimate bar. The food and beer was good and service was wonderful as well. I had the Korean grill cheese. It came out fast and hot. So delicious. I got some baked wings to go. And although they were good, I don't think it was worth $15 for only 6 wings. I wish I asked before ordering them. Its an ok place to catch a game as long at you don't care to see multiple as they only have 2 tvs. Overall, liked this place and will return to try some of their other delights.

It’s a cozy place inside, a place to relax and catch up with friends. Did not try the food. My only critique is the beer options are mostly all hop forward and there was one dark beer, whereas I prefer something in between.

Looking forward to giving this place a higher review next time we come to Charlotte. Spent $15 on a Uber only to find out it was closed for a private event. Note to business owners, Always update your social media. Completely wasted the ride cost and plans. Your decisions around private events need to take into account people’s plans and this did not give us a good impression of your establishment.

After lunch at Whiskey Warehouse, we popped right across the street at Plaza Midwood to Legion Brewing Charlotte… Upon entering into Legion Brewing at Plaza Midwood Charlotte, we were attracted to the wooden furniture throughout its premise. The tables, the bar counter top and even the wooden beams at the brewing area – they all point to a homely and friendly atmosphere here. At Legion Brewing, they bring the community together. Whether, you’re dining, chilling or even working, Legion provides a clean positive vibe for everyone to enjoy its premise. There are some daily specials/program at Legion Brewing. But we couldn’t really make out what does “Vinyl on Tap” meant or whether there was any deals. Hence, we went right ahead for some recommendations instead. This time, they had the following on tap at Legion Brewing Charlotte: Easy Drinker Penguin Pilsner Lunar Daze House Sparrow Saison Hop Forward Juicy Jay Mango Juicy Jay Tiny Dancer Hopchiller Tart & Funky Supernova (Cherry Lemon) Sparkle Party Ikimasui Gluten Free Hard Seltzer Hard Cider Dark & Roasted Slainte Quit Your Wine-ing Ghost of Kiev Red Eyes Black Dragon Wine Stone Bay Archer Roose Diamarine Marc Cellars As you can see from the selection, Legion Brewing has its grounds covered. If you’re a craft beer lover, you have the pilsners, IPAs and Stouts. There are also seltzers and ciders for those who wants a choice of gluten free. There are also wine and prosecco selections. With the non-alcoholic selection of soft drinks and kombucha, that’s pretty much everyone covered. We asked for some IPA recommendations and this time, we had a sessions IPA (Tiny Dancer) as well as a juicy mango IPA (Mango Juicy Jay) which came up to a total of $14 (with $2 tips)… For the full review of Legion Brewing, visit 2bearbear today!

Suffolk Punch Brewing South End is a multifaceted establishment that combines a brewery, coffee bar, American eatery, and fermentation lab all in one location. The venue features an industrial-chic ambiance with steel and metal accents, exposed brick walls, large windows, and a garage-style door. The menu highlights locally-sourced ingredients for an artisanal dining experience that goes beyond typical breakfast fare to include dishes like biscuits and gravy and shrimp 'n' grits.
Have enjoyed many beers out on the patio on a nice day. Stopped by on a weekday this time on a 95 degree day so got a table inside. Nachos and flatbread were both excellent. Jawripper is so damn good if you like smoothie sours. Service inside was not great, I prefer the QR ordering system outside, but overall enjoyed our weekday visit.

This place is a really nice spot if you want to go for brunch + breakfast. I went on a Sunday and the outside patio was packed, so expect maybe to wait for a table if the weather is nice outside otherwise inside is usually pretty open. My friends and I got the Big Bun Cinnamon roll and it was really good. I think if I really had to nit pick I would have wanted it to be more warmed up/ hot and then I think it would have made it taste even better. It was just barely warm/ at room temperature, but still tasted good nonetheless. We also got their seasonal Cinnamon Toast Crunch cappuccino and their classic chicken biscuits. The chicken was season very well and the gravy was really tasty. The biscuit itself is different so I can see some people either not liking it as much or really love it. Overall, everything tasted good and the waiters and staff were really nice and the overall restaurant had a nice atmosphere. Their parking lot is really small btw so you will need to plan maybe ahead to find some parking near by. I’d come back here again a solid 7.5/10. 👍

Beer was fantastic and nice outdoor patio and vibe inside. The QR ordering system was down due to city wide power outage so we went inside to order and the bartenders who helped us were lovely. We both ordered the shishito salad (small) with grilled chicken, and this dish was our only gripe. It was put together by someone who has never had a salad, and surely hasn’t tried the one they made. The bowl was small but packed to the brim with the salad contents - this would have been manageable but the chicken was uncut (the photo shows it after I painfully sliced it up), and the dressing wasn’t tossed with the salad. It was also under dressed, and this is coming from someone who prefers less than normal dressing. The shishitos were cold and weren’t grilled long enough as-is. They should rework this dish. At minimum, slice your meats and toss the salad so a patron can easily eat the salad without it exploding on the table. That said, the ingredients were quality.

Great spot that we frequent a lot! While it’s a brewery, their rotating food and coffee (s/o Kelly’s coffee program - the Salted Butterscotch latte is amazing) are also very good. I see they have pizza right now so we’ll need to try that next time. Definitely a must visit if you’re in town, walking the rail trail, or just want a nice spot to hangout and chat.

ANNE with Offline - This was a wonderful experience. I had the burrarita flatbread and my friend had the chicken Sammie. Both were so flavorful, perfectly cooked and quick service. The chicken was crispy topped with softest lightly toasted bread😋. They have a variety of mocktails for those who still want a fun drink without the alcohol.

Connor with Offline - The Cubano De Suffolk is a must-try—the bacon is absolutely unreal! The coffee is always excellent (I especially enjoyed the Americano), and the service is consistently top-notch. A spot I’ll keep coming back to.

Food was good, vibes & the DJs were awesome. However, the service was nonexistent (not a big deal), but the parking lot situation SUCKS. We were unable to leave for AN HOUR after we were done, because another parked car was blocking our way out. We went inside to speak to the manager on duty, and he said that he couldn’t have it towed since they were parked legally (despite the lousy parking job) and that he would “ask around the tables to see” if they could find the owner of the car to have them move. We waited for an hour, and nothing... Manager never came to check, never saw any of the wait staff asking around, nothing. During that wait, several other cars also had hard times backing out of their parking spots & leaving too, requiring their passengers to hop outside to help guide/direct the drivers from hitting the other cars. Eventually after an hour and a 1,000-point turn, and the help of several strangers, we were able to slip out the crammed parking lot. The car that had us blocked in was still in its exact spot as we left. I enjoyed the food and the live DJ, and would’ve came back again, but we spent more time trying to leave the parking lot than we spent at our table ordering and eating our food.

Great brewery! Beer is very good. Had an Italian Pilsner, DIPA, and a lager while here and found everything to be tasty. The space itself has a nice mojo and there’s plenty of parking including an overflow lot. I was told this was the best brewery in Charlotte by a friend, and was not disappointed. I’ve only been to Resident Culture and Birdsong while passing through Charlotte, and while both are quality this gets the top spot.

The beer was great. The one bartender was very accommodating. The female bartender made a snide remark about wanting to taste beers before purchasing. I can honestly say this is the first craft brewery where I have had that experience. I still made sure my tip reflected my appreciation for their service. And at the same time, I think an awareness should be created that EVERY OTHER craft brewery I have ever visited, kindly accommodated tasting before purchasing. As such, I will think twice about a return visit.

Unfortunately not really the best experience. It seem nice walking in as being very lgbt friendly, however there experience with poor management. They will charge your account. On the menus they don’t give you a cost of drinks and they will magically charge you for tips and they want you to add more on the tip after they force the tipping. I recently heard that the management fire an employee giving amazing customer experience. There is some good employee who care about customer service and help your experience but the manager/owner whomever they don’t care much about it as long they making money without customer knowledge. They state they are lgbt friendly and help community but all suddenly they become politics they it become a stage show. Honestly I don’t come for political stuff but rather good customer service and fine drink. I want to be at peace and I don’t want be concerned that the company will encore cost without customer knowledge and manipulation of giving extra money. Poor experience. Please advice check your prices and make sure how many drinks you order and make sure the number add up.

Came here with some friends to play music bingo and had a fun night! Service is good too! The inside is small and there is a little area outside with seating too. The first thing I noticed when I entered was the smell. It stinks when you walk in, but your nose will adjust after a few minutes. They don’t serve food but they have a surprisingly large variety of snacks you can purchase. You’re free to bring in outside food too. If you start a tab they hold onto your card, so don’t forget to close out and get your card before you leave! Kid friendly and lots of games available to play. There is parking in front but if it’s full you can park in the retail area of the apartment complex parking deck located across the drive.

Def my favorite brewery in Charlotte! Always has a great selection of beers that can satisfy any beer palate. Since its opening in 2014, it has been dedicated to crafting high-quality Belgian-inspired ales alongside craft and imported beers. The brewery offers a diverse selection of beers, including Trappist-style Dubbels and Tripels as well as seasonal brews.
We had our wedding in the private event space and outside on 9/13/25 and we could not have chosen a better location!! We had 65 guests and still had a lot of room. Kim who we planned everything with was so great and responsive every time I had a random question. Keo, our private bartender was the best and so accommodating. As a bride who planned her own wedding, hearing Keo say “whatever you want” for multiple things I asked was so helpful and just took the stress away. He handled everything while I was getting ready and took care of the music and guests. AND our guests LOVED him. He was so fun and had a smile on his face the entire time. I had to get a picture with him after bc he was one of our favorite parts of our wedding 😂 We also catered through them and did the BBQ, dessert tray and charcuterie board - it was all phenomenal. Our pictures also turned out amazing because of the beautiful greenery outside. (Michael Parks, ParksPictures) Going into the brewery was also so fun for pictures and guests! We had the best time, no complaints. We are going to have another event there because it was so easy and low maintenance to plan and also so we can hang out with Keo again😂

Tuesday is Mug Day—bring your own mug (any size, so bring a big one to get more bang for your buck!) and they’ll fill it with any beer on tap for $6! There’s free street parking or a pay lot in front of the brewery. If you park in the pay lot, (before you pay on the app) go inside and see the bartender and they either provide a promo code or a parking pass you put on your dashboard to validate your parking.

This brewery is one of Charlotte’s best kept secrets. The biggest plus is the wide variety of beers and the quality of the brewing. Their medals for best brews are hanging all over the walls and by far they were the most enjoyable I have personally enjoyed in this region to date! I got a flight and had a very tasty blood orange IPA called the Big O, a “Boozy Berry” frozen concoction that was amazing, a coffee porter with a lower alcohol content that made it more to my liking and truly lived up to the genre, and a ginger beer so good I took two 4 packs home! I will be going back soon to try several other brews I just couldn’t work in this time. And to top it all off, the “Thermal Nuclear” chicken panini sandwich with jalapeño peppers and various sauces was absolutely delicious and a perfect pairing with my flight! In addition, the service was impeccable. The beer tenders were friendly, courteous and very responsive! I can’t wait to go back!

We had my son's wedding rehearsal dinner in the private room in October. The whole process was amazing. We booked in early January. Kim helped with booking the event and went over the packages for us. We had 58 people and the space was just perfect. You can dress it up or down. We decorated the tables the morning of. We wanted a place that was private and had a speaker system for toasts. The system was amazing. Everyone could hear. We played our own song list and did a slide show. The beer selections were amazing. Shout out to Keo and Kim. Keo helped the night of the dinner making sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend Sugsrcreek for your next event. It was a perfect night to start the wedding weekend.

We visited 6/30/25. We’re travelers and we like to visit breweries everywhere we go, and I’m deep into the Craft beer scene overall. The location is fantastic. Both in terms of brewery hopping access and ambiance. It’s a nice place and gives the craft brewery vibes nicely. Love the decor/design but totally confused how it matches the name (nautical steampunk?). The beer is above average. Had the Big O hazy, the dubbel, and the quad. All three very worth the purchase! Especially the two Belgians, as you don’t see that very often. The bartender/server was running solo but she was extremely engaged and attentive. Top notch. Food: this was disappointing. We chose to save our eating on the brewery hop for this location. Unfortunately we did arrive late (8:30), but figured that would work because the kitchen was going to be open until 9. The chef was very nonplussed that we wanted to order food. He made that VERY VERY CLEAR. While the food came out fast, it was as if he literally asked a contestant from Nickelodeon’s double dare to make it as fast as possible. At the very least, don’t order the nachos. It was a mess with little other than poorly coated generic cheap chips.

Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Employees are so friendly. The Hi Creek Fruit Punch Sour is so good and I really enjoyed the Caprese Panini. Will definitely be visiting again.

Stumbled upon this place while waiting for a flight, so glad! Great ambiance, excellent beer choices and we met the owner, Joe, who was such a quality human! Love love love their Belgian Dubbel and Quad- highly recommend! The quad availability is limited so savor while you can. The pumpkin beer is also a hit! The food was delicious and we look forward to coming back soon!

Salud Cerveceria is a laid-back, modern brewpub in NoDa that hosts delicious wood-fired pizzas and beers paired together perfectly. It is a great spot to go for coffee and beer lovers alike.
My favorite Detroit Style Pizza in Charlotte. It’s only available on Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s owned by a couple, husband is from Michigan, wife is from the Dominican Republic. Husband decorated the beer shop downstairs and the wife decorated the upstairs. Very cool place, definitely worth checking out! Love that frico crust on the Detroit Style! Also some very cool artwork throughout!

Salud Cerveceria is such a hidden gem in Charlotte! I stopped by for coffee and pizza, and both hit the spot. The coffee was smooth and flavorful, and the pizza was fresh with great toppings. The interior has a cool, artsy vibe—definitely not your average brewery look. What really stood out was the energy—great music, friendly crowd, and I love that they host a DJ party on Saturdays. It’s the kind of place where you can chill during the day and vibe out at night. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good food, good drinks, and a unique atmosphere.

This spot is a hidden gem! The upstairs location has a cozy, eclectic vibe and the staff is incredibly friendly. We were in a hurry before a show at Neighborhood Theatre and only had drinks, but the food menu looks amazing with salads, sandwiches, and pizza. They have a great selection of non-alcoholic drinks, plus a solid list of draft beers and liquor. Bathrooms were super clean! Can't wait to go back and try the food!

Visiting Charlotte for the day, checking out a few spots before the VOLA show at The Underground later. My research indicated that Salud tends to have good sours on tap. I was very pleased! That guava skittle sour was maybe the best sour ale I've ever had. Sadly they didn't have any cans for me to take home so I had to drink 2 while I was there. I also tried the blueberry sour which was just alright. I was there in time for the lunch special. A pizza and 4 generously sized wings (I got garlic parm) for 15 bucks isn't a bad deal. Hopefully next time I'll be able to try that Detroit style pizza. Friendly staff, cool decor, great vibes. I'll be back next time I'm in town!

The food is top notch and vegan items are clearly labeled. We had the vegan lingo & the vegan meatball sandwich. The vegan lingo is one of the best pizzas I've ever had - vegan or not. The vibe was super chill too. Highly recommend!

Nice hip place to enjoy morning coffee with some chill beats. Place features full bar and plenty of great cocktails. Staff was energetic and fun. Perfect spot to meet friends or let the day drift away. Food was tastey! Perfect way to start exploring NoDa.

I was in town, and although, not a real big fan of Charlotte (as of yet), I’m at least, giving it a chance. I, however, do really enjoy NoDa, which is a very vibrant area. I was hoping to try out a few brewery’s and nearby restaurants, but most were closed on a Monday. I saw this place listed on a website “charlottegotalot,” and decided to give it a try. Damien, one of the beautiful staff members, was quite welcoming, and helpful with answering a few of my questions. I was specifically looking to try out their IPA selection, and of the two offered, I tried them both. Meh… it was ok. I was a bit confused on sizes, but it wasn’t worth the hassle. The place had a nice, inviting, ineffable feel to it. We entered the building through the back, where the patio is, so I was unsure what to expect. But its beguiling atmosphere would definitely have me returning. I saw a few patrons, tucked off in their own respective corners, often listening to their headphones with a book, and others, quietly typing away on their laptops. So, I can tell it’s a great place to chill, unwind, and get some work done too! Or, simply, catch a friendly conversation with friends. They also had a game table, offered bites to eat (no finger foods, unless you count chicken), and a space to relax your worries away. Win/Win. Will recommend to others for sure!

Great brewery! Had a Mexican lager, Czech Pilsner (side pour), and a hazy IPA while here. Every beer was enjoyable with the Czech Pilsner being top notch. Friendly staff and nice mojo as well. One of the top breweries in Charlotte even with so much competition. Free parking may be a bit tough to find during busy hours.

Located in the South End neighborhood of Charlotte, Hi-Wire Brewing is a popular spot known for its great team and dog-friendly atmosphere. The brewery offers a variety of beers and hosts fun events like Books & Buddies. While parking may be limited, the taproom provides a chill and enjoyable vibe with ping pong tables, soccer/pool area, and arcade games. It's an ideal place to hang out with friends and enjoy some quality drinks.
Incredible experience with Hi-wire and Cirque du Biere. Purchased the VIP package for a birthday celebration and it exceed expectations. The event was spectacular and the perks were worth the extra spend. No food truck on site, but food was easy to grab to-go from neighboring businesses.

Solid spot for drinks and hanging out with friends! I came here fora round with some friends and we had a great time. Walked ver from the climbing gym and it was not crowded or busy on a Thursday around 8pm. We got some seasonal specialty drinks and sat at a high top. Saw some other parties ordering Benny’s pizza and it was definitely tempting. The server was friendly and the vibes her were very laid back and relaxe. I would recommend !

Hi-Wire was a fun, hip, and upbeat brewery! It was very modern, and fits the city of Charlotte very well! Even for the standards of a brewery, they have a huge selection of beers, and their staff is very knowledgeable of all their brews. The bartender gave me an excellent recommendation for a beer that I was looking for, and even provided me a sample of it before I purchased it. The ambiance was a lot of fun as well, and even though I went by myself, it seems like a great place to stop in and hang out with friends. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Hi-Wire!

Attended the "Cirque du Biere: A spooky Aerial show" here and was impressed at hoe big it actually was inside. I didnt know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised to see lots of seating and plenty of space to walk around also. They have two bars. Main one as soon as you walk in and a smaller second one closer to the back of the building. They have outside patio seating as well and on a Friday evening they had two food trucks out in the front. This is located next to Benny Fravellos so of course slice of pizza is a MUST when visiting this location. Overall, everyone was super friendly and efficient. Th3 bartenders were friendly and gave great recommendations. Wouldn't mind coming back if in the area. I saw they have lot of cool games to play also. They do have a small parking lot in front of their establishment but if you come during peak days and time, good luck! There is side street parking nearby also but you do have to pay.

The Lake Loop Lager is a must-try, featuring flavors of passion fruit, Sauvignon Blanc, and citrus.
Dog Friendly outside areas. Found myself in Charlotte around lunch and used the Google machine to get here. It was a dreary day and spitting rain but I brought the pooch and we sat outside. When the wind whipped we felt a tad of rain due to design but we did it for the canine. My buddy got grilled cheese (comes with some tomato soup for dipping?) And I got the Cuban. Cuban was good. We split some Bee Sting Wings. They were good but could've used a little more spicy heat. Good nonetheless. The viewing platform up top reveals an amazing view of Charlotte skyline. The young lady running the bar and taking our orders was fantastic.

Love Devil’s Logic Brewing in Charlotte, North Carolina. Been here multiple times. They have an amazing beer selection! They also have wine, seltzer and they have this incredible alcoholic ginger beer. So delicious. The service and staff there are amazing. Super friendly and knowledgeable. The food is also very good. I’ve had the wings, Buffalo and Bee Sting. They were both very good. They’re blue cheese dressing was pretty good as well. Will definitely go back and try other stuff. There’s also a great roof top with a beautiful view of the city and they have a really nice private space as well. Can’t wait to go back!

I really wanted to like this place, but was underwhelmed at best. My wife and I tried their fruited sours, and they went very light on the fruit and heavy on the sour. These beers are bitter, and I'm not sure why, but they smelled offensive. It was difficult to drink because of the peculiar odor coming off both of the drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful. They have a food menu, but it is limited and had a handful of the items marked off because they weren't available. Unfortunately, this place just didn't do it for me.

Opening day at this new CLT brewery near CPCC. Indoor taproom with garage doors, outdoor tables (some covered), and a roof top with good view of city skyline. 6 beers on tap to start (citrusy IPA, Kolsch, Blonde ale, Pale ale, Oatmeal coffee stout, and Saison) with wine, kombucha, and Enderly cold coffee brew. Friendly staff, happy to be open. Visited again a couple times in July 2020. Large beer selection with a few hazies on tap, Distorted Signals is among the best NE IPA brewed in CLT. Big facility improvements since opening, including outdoor canopies, string lighting, beautiful large mural in taproom, rooftop event space (indoor and outdoor), outdoor projection TV shown on large wall, and more. Super friendly staff. Good food, esp. BBQ Short Rib sandwich. Excellent sanitation and social distancing practices in place. A worthy stop when touring CLT breweries.

What a find. Fair amount on tap, great space, great service. Would rate the food 4/5: we got a grilled cheese flight, BLT, and *mess* around and find out. They all come with a side of tots. Got a sour beer (5/5). Have some merch and a small selection of canned beer to take home. A few steps up to kitchen area and restrooms but both have a chair lift as an alternative. Will be back for vibe, drinks, and service for sure.

Monday Night Brewing Garden Co. was born from a Bible study group and has expanded to five breweries across four states, including the newest location in Charlotte. The South End location drew an enthusiastic crowd upon opening. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, offering a variety of beers, cocktails, and their own line of liquors called Sneaky Pete. Visitors can enjoy different seating areas both indoors and outdoors while savoring Neapolitan-style pizza with excellent crust.
This place is huge! They have a large inside area, huge outdoor area, and even a private room upstairs. There is corn hole, giant connect four, and pool. There is a large bar and a pizza oven. The people there are very nice and efficiently collect empty glasses from the tables. A good place whether you are there with just one person or a big group.

Really nice indoor and outdoor space, with some good wood fired pizzas and cheesebread, made in ovens imported from Italy. All the staff was super nice and we had a good time. Love all the outdoor games, board games, pinball. On the flip side, it is a bit expensive and parking is difficult, but the biggest negative is the 3% service fee added to your bill without any kind of forewarning or explanation. I'm not sure what this is for, I'm assuming for using a credit card. I'm fine if places either have it posted, or tell you that there is a fee to use a credit card as I understand the associated fees with using a credit card. But this fee was added without any indication or explanation. Left a bad taste in my mouth, over a couple bucks. I would like it if Monday Night Brewing was a little more transparent with their "3% Service Fee".

Upbeat Brewery with good tunes and lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Looks like they have delicious woodfired pizza. I had the Oktoberfest which was malty heaven. Lots of entertainment options, pool, pinball, darts, bags.

I'm not normally a big fan of food at breweries but I can tell you right now this is one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. This is coming from someone that lived in New York City for 4 years. Tuesday night is a $10 margarita pizza. Absolutely delicious!

Went there for the gluten freedom event, the pizza and wings were delicious, didnt get to try the burgers because they weren't ready yet. I am grateful they gave gluten intolerant, celiac people a chance to feel normal getting some good food with no worries and I do hope they do it again. That being said, wait times were long but I feel like it was to be expected as the lines were out the door and the food was freshly made. Mabey next time some different systems could be put in place to accommodate the large turnout. Regardless, cool bar, kids loved the pinball machines, and good pizza.

Such a great spot close to BOA Stadium, hidden on Palmer Street in the heart of South End. One of the best cocktail spots in Charlotte with *perfectly* crafted cocktails. No skimping on ingredients AND they’re reasonably priced - a unicorn for the CLT bar and cocktail scene. Had a fantastic experience at Alongside Brewing in Charlotte, North Carolina! The brewery has a super great space. Played great music and a great vibe. I loved the retro cassette tapes on the bar. The selection of drinks is unbelievable. Tons of great beers, wine, cocktails and spirits. I had both sours and they were amazing. Not too sour. One of my friends had a few IPAs and loved them. The highlight of our visit was the bartender John. He was super friendly and knowledgeable!! Super dog friendly as well. Can’t wait to go back!

I was charged a-lot of money for my drinks when I was told another amount. Even if we entertained the idea that I was wrong does $60 ish dollars for three drinks make sense? They did make sure to ring me up a normal amount after i was like this is crazy. Butttt like fam be forreal….. it never 60 dollars deep. With tip included. Stop being so forceful its weird.

Went a few times, most recently in 5/11 for an event. Previously the bartenders were nice and engaging but then seemed a bit stressed (possible due to the number of people present?). The female who was working avoided eye contact and seemed to be bothered that she was supposed to be making drinks. Quan (sorry if I’m spelling that correctly) made excellent traditional old fashioneds. The lady Bartenders was poor in comparison Otherwise the vibe has been great the other times I’ve been—hence the 4 stars. Hoping management can take a moment to make sure customers are content because this a pretty dope spot and I hope to visit soon

Went this past weekend with three friends. First, the AC wasnt on who knows why. Made it super hot in there. Second, the bartender needs to learn how to pour a pint. One of the pints looked like someone took a giant sip out of it. And finally, icing on the cake, a giant sign says that an automatic 18% gratuity is added to ALL bills. Never again.

Highly recommend grabbing a bite here before a concert! It’s an easy walk across the parking lot to the amphitheater. We got a spiked slushie, loaded tater tots, and the mac n cheese. Have always enjoyed this place but I was recently diagnosed with an onion allergy and the staff was so patient and helpful in checking to make sure my chicken wasn’t cooked with any and my salad dressing didn’t have any in it. I even heard the give the back of house a heads up that there was an onion allergy. Thank you so much for not making me feel like an inconvenience or a bother and for taking it seriously.

Visited several times before concerts, and review is for August 16th, 2023. Nice little place to grab a quick bite and draft beer before a concert at the Amphitheatre or Music Hall that are both located next door. Food is ordered at the counter, and swiftly delivered to your table. Food service was fast, but the chicken club sandwich was a little dry. Plenty of craft beer on tap, but they would not serve samples "because it's a night with a show at the Amphitheatre". As a craft beer enthusiast, I'd prefer to sample a few before spending $10 for a pint. There is plenty of seating inside, and they have a large outdoor patio, most of which is covered. The patio is surrounded by volleyball courts, so that adds a little bit of visual entertainment. All of the staff was very friendly, but the food and lack of beer samples set them back a star.

Really cool joint just off the beaten path right next to the amphitheater on the south side of uptown. Plenty of places to sit and chill including a huge outdoor patio. There are 5 sand volleyball courts, cornhole, and oversized Jenga. The indoor bar has plenty of seats, also. Lots of craft beers from which to choose, as well as a full array of liquor & spirits. The full menu has lots to choose from and during events they have a limited menu that still has plenty of variety. The service is extremely friendly and patient. All in all, very well deserving of the full 5-Star Rating!

Stopped by this restaurant for a weekday lunch and really enjoyed the experience. Parking was easy during the week, though I can imagine it might get a bit tight on the weekends with all the nearby retail traffic. The food was fantastic! Nice indoor/outdoor restaurant. Service was great and Amber was nice and knowledgeable. The drinks were good and Amber was able to make great recommendations! The food was good and I like the vegetarian options, however they need to improve on condiment/sauce selection. I am a sauce girl and not having the basics of traditional ketchup is a problem. Do not expect ketchup with your wedge potatoes. The ranch doesn't taste like ranch. The bbq sauce is vinegar base but not much flavor. Good food but if you depend on sauce (like me) you might want to bring your own!

Seaboard Brewing, Taproom, & Wine Bar is a great place to hang out in with a patio and courtyard serving up 24 taps of beers and 1,000+ wines. There's also snacks and small plates available. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing.
I really enjoyed my visit to this place! They offer a great variety of wines and have a lovely atmosphere both inside the restaurant and on the outdoor terrace. They also serve a wide range of beers, and I love the idea of creating your own cheese and charcuterie boards. Definitely a place worth visiting!

Ok place but some seats right next with cigar bar and if you have to sit there, all the smell goes right towards you. Appetizers over priced. If they busy be aware your drinks will take forever to deliver and guys who bring it will be rude about it. Pizza will take 40 minutes to make, so please add more food options. Few positive things about this place is good music, dog friendly and assortment of beverages.

Beers are always great. Good pizza in the back and nice Tapas. Inside and out side seating options. Recommended. Visiting again and again. Beers are AMAZING and the pizza is wonderful.

I enjoy this brewery everytime I visit Matthews. Great beer with awesome outdoor sitting. The chartreuse board features a wide selection of cheese, meats and preserves. There is also a wide selection of wines both chilled and ready to take home. Give this place a try if your in town.

I really enjoyed this small brewery in NC. They had plenty of in-house options to choose from (as well as some externals), and struck up great conversation with a couple beertenders. The $1 scoop snacks are admirable! Something to munch on without spending an unwanted amount on entrees or a food truck. Trend setting in Matthews!

Great drinks & atmosphere, but the bartenders talk badly about customers and think we can’t hear what they’re saying. The bartenders aren’t friendly and are unprofessional. Plenty of other good restaurants and bars around the area I’ll go to instead.

The Burial Beer Co. Charlotte Taproom offers a cool and stylish atmosphere with chic black and gold bathrooms. The location provides indoor, outdoor, and rooftop seating options, making it suitable for various preferences. Visitors can enjoy a good selection of craft beers, including high ABV options, along with food from the onsite food truck. The taproom is known for its comfortable ambiance and friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the beer offerings. Additionally, there is a bottle shop on site for takeaway options.
One of my absolute favorite places to visit in Charlotte. There is always a huge variety of beers on tap plus the wine, slushy, and cocktail options help give a little something for everyone. Their food has only gotten better and better with time. But one of my favorites is going through the awesome, diverse collection of vinyl records for sale. I've walked out more than a few times with some new additions. Burial Beer is some of the best in the area and the vibes at House of Relics are just what we need in Charlotte.

It looks like they have a variety of beers but only tried 1 their Mexican ale which is their most popular. Not bad but a little light for me. I think this would be a great spot to come and hang outside on their rooftop area in the late fall when the weather cools. It’s unique and has its own vibe. Not sure if I love it because only was able to try one but would come back to try another.

Great beer, even better food. This spot is a hidden gem serving up sneaky-good pub fare in plaza. From a smash burger done right to legit po' boys with proper bread, you won't be disappointed. The fries are always hot and crispy, and the beer is ice cold. A must-try if you're in the neighborhood.

Love Burial Beer Co. in Charlotte NC. We love going to local places in our neighborhood and they have the most geeky selection of beers with the best names and they food and alcohol. I love the space, indoors it’s super industrial and they have a beautiful back deck along with the deck upstairs. The staff is super friendly also! Very accommodating, swift and helpful! Can’t wait to go back!!!!

This place was recommended by a family member and did not disappoint! Artisan cocktails and a wide selection of beers. I tried a cocktail called “the Reaper’s Embrace” a bourbon, brown sugar & cinnamon concoction that was like a taste of fall- yummy! We also indulged In a barbecue burger with bacon, blueberries and blue cheese- delicious! A chicken wrap, an apple jalapeño grilled cheese sandwich and some okra tempura- it was all perfectly and inventively prepared comfort food that makes you want to keep coming back.

Lost Worlds Brewing Charlotte is a new addition to the Metropolitan area, offering an exploration-themed taproom that provides a refreshing experience for beer enthusiasts. Located at 1100 Metropolitan Ave, this brewery overlooks the picturesque Little Sugar Creek Greenway and offers an inviting indoor and outdoor space. The friendly and knowledgeable staff, including bartender Tommy, provide excellent service and recommendations for their wide selection of craft beers.
I’ve been to Lost Worlds Brewery twice so far for my Rotary Leadership Impact meetings, and every time I’m here, the vibe is on point. It’s a great place to chill, relax, and socialize—whether you’re with a group or just hanging out. Their beer selection is solid. I don’t remember the one I had during my first visit, but this time I tried the Matawil Mexican Lager because I wanted something that tasted close to Modelo—and it delivered! Finished it off with a slice of lime, and it hit just right. If beer isn’t your thing, no worries—they also serve margaritas, cocktails, and wine, so there’s something for everyone. The staff is friendly, the environment is laid-back, and they’re pet-friendly, which adds to the relaxing vibe. Parking isn’t too bad either. There’s a parking garage across the street—if it’s not too packed, avoid the hassle and just go ahead and park on the third or fourth floor. Super convenient! If you’re in the area looking for a local brewery that’s versatile, social, and easygoing, Lost Worlds is definitely worth checking out.

I strongly dislike places that prompt you to tip but don't bring your food out, clean it up, or check in on you. Just pay your workers fairly dude and don't rely on customers. They throw your stuff on the counter by the window and you don't know when your specific order is ready for pick up (no buzzers or name calling). The food was delicious though and I like the concept of the bodega/brewery/diner mixed elements. There's board games to play and a nice outdoor patio/outdoor seating (both upstairs and downstairs). The loft is neat. Definitely Charlotte-y character.

I've always heard of this place but never actually visited. We had parked right in front of this location, so as we decided to head home, we wanted to stop in and see what the place was all about. It's like a continence store as soon as you walk in, but the further you walk in, they have a bar with seating and then a section selling wines, beers, seltzers, and regular sodas to coffees and anything else you may find at a gas station. Outside of the store, they have an open patio with plenty of seating. A lot of people go and purchase their beverages and then come outside to sit drink and have a good time. It's a quirky cool place, and I'm all for it. Love the ambiance and concept of it. The employees and everyone were super friendly, and there were no issues at all. I will def be visiting again.

Flying Saucer Draught Emporium is a chain taproom located in Charlotte, offering an extensive selection of over 200 global beers, with more than 80 on tap. The beer selection includes offerings from both national and local breweries, as well as seasonal specialties. Situated near the Bank of America stadium, it provides a lively atmosphere on game days and features an outdoor patio. In addition to its diverse beer options, the emporium offers unique dining choices such as duck tacos.
While attending a conference at UNC Charlotte, we decided to try out Flying Saucer. It was very good. We didn't try anything except food so I am not able to leave a review for any alcohol. We came on a Sunday afternoon so the place was not crowded at all. Our server was great and we were seated quickly. We ordered the Paco Bowl and Lauren's Goat Cheese Salad with Salmon. Food came out quickly and tasted really good. Portion sizes were spot on. We would definitely recommend Flying Saucer Draught Emporium!

We haven't been here in a while, so while we were in the area, decided to pop in for a late lunch. Menu is a nice mix of bar food, with pizza, tacos, burgers, pretzels and more. Huge beer selection, hard to decide, ask your server what types of beer you like and they can help you narrow it down. You can always get a flight of beers on tap. I got a seasonal Marzen and fish tacos. I wish the fish had more blackened seasoning, but the mango salsa was good. Tons of fries! My partner got a burger that was huge with more fries. I think the portions are good for young college kids since this is near the university. Next time we will get something sharable. Our server was nice and attentive, we sat at the bar. There is a large bar, outside patio and 2nd dining room. I'm sure this place gets super busy on sports days, they also have triva and bingo nights. Plenty of free parking.

My husband and I decided to stop by here before a concert, dreaming of a delicious steak and a fancy cheese board. The moment the food arrived, it was such a letdown—it was colder than my ex's heart in winter! Seriously, our waitress was the shining star of the evening; she should get an award for putting up with our disappointment. If you're thinking about dining here, do yourself a favor and sprint to your local grocery store instead. I swear, even Fido would turn his nose up at this menu—dog food has got to be tastier!

Enjoyed our time here. Service was good, staff were friendly, food was good. My only critique was that we got the dips and got pimento cheese and it wasn’t mixed very well. Big hunks of cream cheese throughout. Had to mix it at the table a good bit. Very minor and it’s obviously made in house which is nice! Looks like they have lots of fun events on the regular too!

Visited this place on a Saturday evening, we ordered beer flight which was good but I felt it was a bit overpriced at $20 for 4 beers, for a nominal quantity.. and we ended up ordering a side of fries, since we had plans for dinner somewhere else… the fries were nasty, definitely refried and not fresh at all.. so although we enjoyed the beers but fries were nasty 🤮

The Thirsty Beaver Saloon is a dive bar with a honky tonk vibe, known for its defiance against urban development. It's nestled between towering apartment buildings that were constructed around it after the owners refused to sell. The exterior features a giant beaver character on an orange wall, setting the tone for the quirky interior adorned with Burt Reynolds pictures, gag posters, and hanging bras.
Hello, neighbor. Sometimes, when you’re walking through your neighborhood, you stumble upon a place that doesn’t look fancy… but oh, how it makes you feel. The Thirsty Beaver is one of those places. It’s a small bar with a big heart. The music is loud, the walls are full of stories, and the floor might be sticky—but that’s just the bar giving you a little hug from your shoes. Now, I don’t drink too often, but when I do, I like something friendly. I asked for a whiskey sour, and the bartender made it with such kindness and care, I almost cried into my coaster. The balance of sweet and sour reminded me of life itself. And oh my, the people here! Denim jackets, tattoos, laughter, and even a man who looked like he’d wrestled a jukebox once and lost. But everyone was kind. A young man offered me his barstool, and another told me I looked like someone who “gives good life advice.” That made me feel very special. The world can be loud and wild, neighbor—but in a place like this, surrounded by good folks and a great mixed drink, it’s nice to remember that we can all belong somewhere. I like you just the way you are, Thirsty Beaver.
Joseph T — Google review
The Thirsty Beaver is... officially one of my favorite bars that I've ever been to! The inside of the bar was so cool, it was like a 1940s combination of a diner and bar. They had so much cool memorabilia, from the pool tables, neon signs, chairs & tables, posters, jukebox, hand games, etc. The bartender and other patrons were so cool, welcoming, and easy to talk to as well. I had such a fun time talking to them for a few hours. Overall, as previously stated, Thirsty Beaver is one of my favorite bars that I've ever been to, and it almost makes me wish I lived in Charlotte so I could go more often. I can't recommend it highly enough!

If you haven’t been yet, what are you waiting for? You need to visit it, period.

A dive bar of dive bars, the Thirsty Beaver is the place to go for cheap beer and cheap drinks in Plaza Midwood. It's quite the hangout complete with jukebox full of classic old tunes. Full of character and charm where you can hangout and no one cares. Yes, this is the spot where Mick Jagger popped in when the Rolling Stones tour passed through Charlotte and he was either not recognized or people truly didn't care.

Stepping into Thirsty Beaver Saloon feels like entering a time capsule of Charlotte's past, with its rustic decor and vintage vibes. The history oozes from every corner, creating an ambiance that's both nostalgic and welcoming. Saddle up to the bar and order a cold one while you soak in the charm of this beloved establishment. Whether you're a local or just passing through, a visit to Thirsty Beaver Saloon is an experience you won't soon forget.

Just be a little weary. Left my credit card there the night before and instead of holding for me to come grab and leave a nice tip, someone tried to charge it 20 times with (grubhub, instacart, DoorDash). Def an employee that works there but luckily it was reported as stolen beforehand. Just know that if you leave your card on accident, you’ll be buying one of them groceries and a free meal.

We did not get food here. We worked a market in the basement. I liked working an event indoors with air conditioning. People had trouble finding their way downstairs. The beers were awesome. I liked the ESB. The speakeasy is very cool. Excellent place to have summer popup so both the vendors and customers can stay cool.

I'm glad I saw other reviewers that were confused by the hostess stand. I also awkwardly waited there for a bit before someone came in and told me I could sit anywhere lol. Tried the Second Hand Heartbreak sour which was pretty good. It did have the tropical notes as suggested by the Painkiller inspiration. I also tried the peach hard seltzer which was fine. The breakfast bowl with jalapeno bacon was actually very good. I like that they serve breakfast til 3. Not sure I'll be back myself but it's a fine place to go.

We’ve been coming to Killer coffee for years (love it, no complaints there) and occasionally getting food from the kitchen that’s run by Resident Culture. We’ve had our dog with us every single time, and only after about 100 times of us coming here, they tell us that we can’t have our dog inside. I am usually very understanding of no-pet policies, but when they make it look like they’re pet friendly, and then suddenly decide to enforce a no-pet policy, it honestly makes me feel guilty for bringing our dog inside for years. We thought we found a spot where we can be regulars, but instead we were left with very unpleasant feelings. On top of all of that they always take at least half hour to bring your food out.

Stopped in after brunch on 7/5. Hostesses were great and I loved that they were playing 90s hip-hop. Bartender was ok - not the most friendly one that I've ever had and didn't provide much conversation to my wife & I. Not the most welcoming brewery that I've ever been to, which was a bit disappointing. As for the beers, solid selection fo everything from sours to IPAs to porters and stouts. My wife had the Parasol Paradise, a nice sour, while I went for thr Devil Cant Help My Soul, a pastry stout.

Service was fast and the space is very comfortable and airy. I definitely recommend the latte brûlée with vanilla and sugar. I also got the Brazilian bowl with pulled pork. I felt like there could’ve been a bit more meat for the extra 3$ and it’s sorta scrambled in so you don’t really know how much you’ve getting but otherwise very nice experience.

Ordered the killer breakfast sandwich with avocado. The sandwich itself was excellent but the sweet potato chips were meh... not that crispy and some had an aftertaste like maybe old grease?... beer was very good. I had the future sight hazy ipa and I've had lightening drops in the past, had a taste of the sorte(altbeer) and it was quite good.. all 3 solid beers! They also serve wine and cocktails!

Came here for an event the other night. The event went past closing hours but I didn't know since I don't come often. When I went to close out I was told that everyone had already been closed out and they had decided the tip. The event was wrapping up and there were 20+ people still in the building. I get not taking orders after hours, or if someone leaves without closing, but automatically closing everyone out when there are so many people still inside feels pretty slimy. It's not like you have to keep a register open. If you're upset customers aren't leaving please indicate you're closed and ask them to wrap it up.

The Cellar at Duckworths, located in Charlotte, NC, provides an intimate setting with chef-driven dishes and a tap list featuring specialty and rare beers. This gastro bar also boasts expert mixologists who craft signature cocktails.
The food was absolutely delicious! The portion was so generous that I couldn’t finish it all in one sitting—I ate half and saved the rest for later. It was definitely worth the $20. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn’t accept Apple Pay, and I didn’t have my wallet or physical cards with me. However, we managed to solve the issue with Zelle, which was really convenient.

Came in on a Thursday night right at dinner. Had to wait maybe 15min for a table. They have a great selection of beer on tap and fully stocked bar. All the food came out quickly. The chicken wings were cooked prefect. The Ruben was very good too. Service was delightful, I would say worth a try.
TOMMY B — Google review
Went to Duckworth’s tonight after several locals told me it was a good place to eat. I sat at the bar (with more TV screens in one room then I think I’ve ever seen, but they were, oddly, not in the least distracting), and ordered a local Charlotte beer (Better Days Pale Ale- delicious, floral, aromatic and crisp). The staff were wonderful. They were all incredibly attentive, polite, never hovering, but always checked in. They served me quickly, efficiently, and professionally. I was impressed with their overall attitude, attention, and friendliness. For food I ordered an 8oz center cut sirloin, med-rare. The entrees come with two sides and garlic bread, so I chose tater tots, and a salad with ranch dressing. The side salad was fresh, cold and crisp. It included red onion slices, which I love. The dressing was very good - a classic, thick and flavorful ranch (not the watery, thin and light flavor kind that some places have). The tater tots were absolutely fantastic. Golden crispy outside, and soft, almost melt in your mouth inside. They didn’t taste like they were previously frozen, and tasted fresh and delicious. I could have eaten those all night. The steak, however, was disappointing. The cut of meat was good quality, and the char-grilled style was smoky and flavorful. It was perfectly seasoned. But it wasn’t cooked properly and was totally dry. Now, having grilled steaks and a substantial amount of meat in my life, I know that grilled meats are tricky. They are hard to get right and easy to mess up. A second too long and it’s dry as cardboard. It wasn’t that bad, but as I ordered medium rare, I felt I should have ordered rare instead. The one saving grace to the meat was that it was served with a finger-licking BBQ sauce that I thought was excellent. Not too smoky, not too sweet, not too savory. Truly fantastic BBQ sauce. Overall, I had a nice time by myself, and enjoyed the experience. Next time, I’ll order the Carolina BBQ Plate and will probably rave about it.

Service was absolutely terrible and food was not great either. Our server, Khadija, didn't greet us until 10 minutes after we sat and said she'd be right with us after dropping off a check. We watched her for another 10 minutes servicing other tables before she finally came back. We literally didn't even have water yet after 20 minutes. We ordered drinks and food all at once because of her. She got water and our drinks 10 minutes later, and our beers were not cold, like they'd been sitting at the expo for quite a bit. We got our food 30 minutes after ordering. Mind you, this was flatbreads, a Philly, and a personal pizza. Things that take 10 minutes max. The restaurant was in no way slammed either, with numerous empty tables. The flatbreads didn't taste great and looked worse. Needed a lot more cheese and the chicken was just lumped in the center. The centers were all flimsy and soft and the crust was hard. It was more like a big cracker rather than a thick flatbread. 6:04 we were sat, 6:26 we ordered, 6:55 was when we got our food, and she dropped the check at 7:10. We had empty water and beers the whole time, too, and were never offered refills. Felt like our server hated us as she was refilling and paying attention to her other tables. I will never go here again.

Okay experience overall. Wings were tasty. Service was meh but they were busy so I suppose thats to be expected? Restaurant is positioned in a convenient place and walkable to many different attractions.

Dined on a relatively slow Sunday night. Drinks and food were great. Highly recommend the Fans Only Cocktail and the BBQ ranch dip was fantastic with my tots. Try the wings! Great appetizer! I always get the cheese steak. It never disappoints. Our server Gabby was a delight.

Southern restaurant (US)
American restaurant
Haberdish is a trendy Southern kitchen and cocktail bar located in Charlotte's NoDa neighborhood, paying homage to the city's textile mill history. Established in 2016, this restaurant offers Carolina-inspired comfort food such as fried chicken with Alabama white sauce, North Carolina trout, and housemade barbecue pork shanks. The menu also features delectable sides like hushpuppies, sweet potato dumplings, and cornbread pudding.
For our wedding anniversary we visited Haberdish. When we were seated we were greeted with a kind Thank You card for our anniversary. The decor and atmosphere were very nice and simple, creative but simple. I would have preferred a softer genre of music but that is completely subjective. Our server was Hannah and she was very attentive to our needs and was kind and a very bubbly personality. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and the drink menu. The food. Most everything is locally sourced and made in house. The chicken strips were not overly breaded and were juicy and extremely tasteful. A variety of sauces compliment the chicken. The Mac n cheese was fantastic with the fried chicken skins added. I never would have guessed that buffalo sauce would go well with the Mac n cheese but it did. The tater tots were very good. To be honest, to me, there was nothing that set them apart from other tots. Maybe some additional seasoning. The rack of ribs were great. Honestly, fall off the bone tender with a dry rub on the bottom of the ribs with a great smokey sauce on top. Superb flavor. A complimentary dessert came out. The in house banana pudding was outstanding. Thick, rich, the bananas were perfect, not too soft and not too hard. I highly recommend the pudding. Banana pudding is a staple in the south, especially in bbq restaurants. Haberdish has one upped everyone with their version of banana pudding. I highly recommend Haberdish, they offer a unique and very distinguished southern menu. Finally, I personally appreciated the manager spending time with us to answer questions and to make sure we were happy. Keep up the good work.

One of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in Charlotte, hands down. The fried green tomatoes were absolutely phenomenal, battered to perfection with just the right amount of crunch and texture, and made with super fresh ingredients. If you go, make sure to try them. I also had the pork belly taco, which was packed with flavor. The blend of herbs and microgreens gave it a fresh, elevated touch. And let’s talk about the THC-infused drinks, next level. Mine had a coconut base that was smooth and not overly sweet, just perfectly balanced. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and memorable dining experience.

The best chicken sandwhich I have had in my life. I tried the seasonal fall chicken sandwich and I have literally never liked coleslaw before until today. The sandwhich tastes like fall, earthy and warm which contrasted the slaw perfectly. The melted cheese was mild and delicious. The potato wedges were perfectly fried with a crunchy crust and soft potato inside that didnt lose the potato flavor. The sauce was amazing. That's not even to mention the chicken itself which was dark meat cooked to perfection, moist, tender, and the batter was perfectly crunchy. Our server Jules was very personable and explained everything to us in great detail as well as providing her preferences. She gave us hot warm towels to clean out hands because she knew that the sandwhiches could get a little messy. The service was quick too! I dont have the vocabulary to describe how good this experience was and how the food was. Worth it 1000%.

Excellent service and lovely atmosphere. We are visiting from Canada and enjoyed dining here. We tried the deviled eggs, fried chicken, and mac and cheese. The hot sauce is a star. Adding it to all those made everything even much better.

This is a one of a kind type of place with amazing service. The food was great and I would rate it 5 stars because our waiter was so good. We got the Chicken and waffles with a breakfast biscuit. Sides were equally delicious with the cheesy grits and sweet potato dumplings tasting like something out of a story book. Only concern I had was the drink called Drunk Elephant. It was absolutely horrible but our waiter took it off the bill so no problems there. I'll definitely come back again!!

We enjoyed sitting al aire fresco tonight. Such a gorgeous night to sit and people watch - the cars, the cycle tricks, moto tricks, hen party, classic low rider cars tricked out, segue riders, people strolling along enjoying conversation... lovely night. Good food, fried chicken was yummy. Fried green tomatoes were a little hard but the butter lettuce salad was wonderful. Loved the waffle tho son did not. Good experience overall. Our server & team were very good. Glad we got to sit out front since inside would have been way over stimulating for all of us. Very pleasant night. Thank you, we appreciate you.

Eddie's Place Restaurant is a popular casual eatery and bar in Charlotte, known for serving New Orleans specialties and all-day breakfast. The restaurant has a fun, family-friendly atmosphere and attracts a diverse crowd, from judges and CEOs to working men and women. It has been a staple for breakfast in the area for nearly 15 years, offering an all-day breakfast menu with delicious brunch specials.
For myself I ordered the build your own burger with a side of fries. It was good. My parents both ordered pasta and enjoyed it. My daughter demolished her kids burger and fries. My other children wanted the chicken tender with a side of fries. They enjoyed them! I found them to be an affordable option for a night out with the family. Great options and great food.

First time at Eddie’s and we are glad decided to give it a try. Ordered Prime rib lunch special and Red Beans and rice with grilled chicken and blackened shrimp. Both were delicious. The chicken and waffles looked great and so did hamburgers. We will be back to give them a try.

The restaurant has been open in Charlotte for as long as I can remember. Each time you drive by it is always full. Now I know why! I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and had a 10 minute wait which isn't bad. Once in the restaurant it was busy with waiter / waitresses taking orders and bringing food out to tables. I had a cup of gumbo which was excellent!!! The main dish was black beans and rice with shrimp. Absolutely 💯 delicious 😋! Everything was worth the wait. If you are in the area stop in and get some amazing tasting food!

Went here for Sunday lunch. Saw it had good reviews Waited 10 minutes. Sat. Server took our drink order and asked we were ready to order. We didn't even look at the menu. Once we ordered it was off the races for the kitchen. We ordered the she crab soup. It was good, would have been nice if it was hotter in temp. As soon as I had my spoon in the soup our salads came out. Then half way through having our salads our food came out. Personally for me, I don't like to be flooded with food like that. However, this may be a way they keep turning tables. Their version shrimp and grits was good with ample amount of shrimp. Rice and beans was way too spicy. The shrimp were so seasoned that the season crunched as you bit in. This dish was a fail. When you find yourself commenting on how good the bread is more then the meal itself should be an indicator of food quality. At least for me, I didn't see any love with any of the food. But beyond that, the fact the food was rushed made it less enjoyable dining experience. While this may be a perfect neighborhood bar, I probably would not go back.

I’m totally blown away by the level of quality and taste of the food here. The service was truly exceptional. We were greeted at the front door. The food was delicious there was no way we were going to not take the leftovers with us. Please don’t sleep on this place. If you do you will be very sorry.

Our waitress Anna was wonderful. Never had been to Charlotte before and was told by folks online to stop here. Did not disappoint. The biscuit was amazing and the Parm grits you can't miss. If you are vegetarian, you can ask to substitute meat for a side at no additional cost. We were nervous about a wait but on a Wednesday morning round 10am, it was no wait. Our total was about $22 for two breakfasts, before tip. 5/5

Had brunch here today and I’m so glad we discovered this hidden gem! The chicken and waffles were perfection — crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. Our waitress went above and beyond, making the experience even better with her friendly attitude and great service. Can’t wait to come back!

Everyone has gotta try this place. I thought it was more of a very generic southern breakfast place before actually getting here, was I mistaken! This place is more like a local, upscale, hole on the wall that serves drinks and smashing good food! Had the assignment Benedict, which was great! Sauce wasn't broken, ham was not to salty, homefries good and the homemade hash was killer. Wife has the South Chicken+Gravy biscuit. She smashed that thing! Coffee was flowing, atmosphere was cool and chill. 10000% know why this place stays busy as heck! Absolutely a MUST TRY on CLT.

JJ's Red Hots is a spacious counter-serve eatery that specializes in serving classic hot dogs and sausages with a variety of toppings. The restaurant has multiple locations including Uptown, Dilworth, and Ballantyne. Each location offers a unique atmosphere, with the Dilworth spot being the original joint and even featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.
This is a fantastic location for enjoying a good time with friends and family. (BONUS: They have drinks from local breweries). Whether you want a Hot Dog or a specialty Sausage, this place serves flavors worth the trip (I picked up my daughter from USC to come here today.) I don't need to say much about JJ's; the pictures speak for themselves. Yes, the Sausage has cheese on the INSIDE!. 🤤 The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. There is a slim chance the night do a FOOD TRUCK!

LOVE A GOOD DOG! Easily accessible from East Blvd. If you are in the mood for some delicious hotdogs, this is the place to go. They have everything from original hotdogs to coney island style, polish, or Italian sausage. I did notice they added sandwiches, tenders, and wings to their menu. This time, I decided to try their tenders with fries. While they were tasty, I would most likely not order them again. They were sooooo crispy and fried, thr skin portion would just fall off the chicken and if it didn't, it was hard to bite into, very greasy, and just not what I would imagine or want from a tender. I guess that's what I get for being adventurous and not getting a dog, haha! Other than that, service was efficient. Everyone was super friendly, and there was plenty of seating to choose from. They do have parking on site, a little narrow and small, so please be careful when pulling in. Other than that, it is a great location and will be back when craving hotdogs.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service is excellent! Ordered the Chihuahua’s dog and the Nashville sandwich. The food came out really quick (within 5 min). The food quality however could be a bit better for the price range. This would be a good place to grab a quick bite and maybe a pint with friends if you’re looking for a casual spot to hang out and eat hotdogs. Would recommend.

The service was superb. The food was tremendously amazing and bursting with flavor. Shout out to The Manager LaLa, and the crew treated us like family and allowed us to taste all the amazing sauces and sausages crafted by Estaban himself. This is a must try. Who doesn’t love a good ol fashion hot dog? What j love abt this place is they have the standard menu, but each wk a new dog of the wk is featured. I love going to find out what new creation has been made. I also tried their new hot honey smoked wings, the wings were jumbo and very meaty and delish. I love their onions rings, sliced thin and fried to perfection.
Cynthia R — Google review
They have some really good 🔥 char-grilled 🌭 hotdogs! I don't prefer the onion rings, they are flavorful but the batter holds too much grease and it falls off the onion ring itself. However, the rest of the meal was good. I don't eat hotdogs often just because they are highly processed but when I do I am going to go to JJ's when I'm in town. It's a nice treat for yourself. They have plenty of toppings too and you can custom order if you don't want what's offered on their menu, and the menu has plenty of options.
J P — Google review
I am so glad I found this place! There was a large group of (what I guess) friends enjoying the meal and no one rushed them to leave or hurry up. I enjoyed a frank and a bratwurst. The dog was great it had bacon and queso. The bratwurst was okay. I just wasn't used to the texture. The sweet tea was perfect. It wasn't too sweet. The employees were friendly and the vibe was great.

We were so excited to find this gem. I recommend the hot dog with the pimento cheese. It was out of this world. Our kids got the kid's chicken tenders, and even those were delicious. Do yourself a favor and get the onion ring. We were also excited to see Sundrop and Cherrwine on tap. We highly recommend giving this place a try!

The brick-walled space with outdoor tables provides a cozy and romantic ambiance that appeals to couples. Named after the Friends sitcom, this coffeehouse and roastery exudes personality with its exposed brick walls, eclectic artwork, and unconventional table setups.
Smelly cat I love you! 🫵 Ambiance was perfect. Sunday morning and 2000s hits playing. I had the sausage egg and cheese biscuit with the toasted coconut latte. They were both solid, very impressed with the latte flavor. The biscuit itself was a perfect buttermilk biscuit. The aura of the staff was so off the charts I just sat in blissful smiles. Thank you :) The parking lot was a little bit of a Tetris puzzle but it could also just be user error.

We were looking for a new coffee and breakfast place in CLT so we decided to give Smelly Cat Coffee House & Roastery a try. It was a great choice! We arrived and tried to place our order via the website but it was not cooperating. So we had to go to the register to place our order. The gentleman helping us was awesome and got us taken care of. We went with a Vanilla Brown Sugar Spice Latte, Breakfast Bowl and Sausage Egg & Cheese Burrito. Everything was great and we would definitely come again!
Brandon S — Google review
Smelly Cat Coffee in NoDa, Charlotte was a decent experience overall. The place bills itself as a café with your regular coffee menu, some food items and desserts. We visited on a Sunday morning and it wasn’t busy. For coffee, we got a dirty chai with toasted coconut syrup and an iced latte. The dirty chai was quite flavorful, and it was a great start to our day. The iced latte was bland, and they were kind enough to replace it for us with a chai. For food, we got an egg and cheese burrito, and a quiche. The burrito was quite one-dimensional: some scrambled eggs thrown in a burrito with some cheese without much flavor. The quiche tasted great—the vegan chorizo really came through in the taste. How to order: You walk up to a counter and place the order on a mini-screen. If you’ve any query about the food, you can ring the bell placed there and someone will attend to you. The seating is available both inside and outside. Parking nearby can be challenging but you should be able to find street parking with some effort. The staff tries their best and is kind and polite. The insides of the cafe seem quite hip keeping in spirit of NoDa with pictures of musicians on the walls. They’re open every day from 7am-2pm(true as of September 2025)

The only thing I’m mad about is that, as an avid latte drinker, I have lived near here for 5 years and haven’t walked into this coffee shop until this weekend. Our drinks took a bit of time, it was a busy Saturday morning, but well worth it. There’s plenty of outdoor seating so waiting was relaxing. We got an iced pumpkin spice and an iced brown sugar spice and both were so good and had a great balance of bitterness and sweetness. I love that they do house made syrups - and you can sample them which is so cool. We definitely found a new favorite spot!

Coffee Shop No. 481 Smelly Cat Coffeehouse Charolette, NC March 13, 2025 We were driving through Charolette, NC and Smelly Cat Coffee House popped up on my Google search. With a name like this I couldn’t resist stopping. The cafe has plenty of outdoor seating with a counter out on their patio to order your food if you don’t want to step inside the cafe. The inside of the cafe has more seating. One of the first things to catch my attention was the use of old paint chipped doors to create individual spaces for customers. The baristas were very friendly and helpful. I caught one of them napping in front of the mural on the side of the building. Don’t worry she knows I took a picture of her. My cortado was delicious. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!
Coffee C — Google review
It's a very popular place amongst locals. Coffee is great, both cold and hot (surprised by this, typically Carolina folks are not strong in hot espresso drinks). Few things to improve: cleaner instructions for how to order for inside and outside seating, and dedicated space for customers with dogs.

SO friendly and SO good!! This was my first time coming here and I didn’t quite know how the process worked with pick up and ordering but I came with my dog so I sat outside on their patio. Multiple employees came and brought a “pup cup” unprompted, lots of pets, and even brought a water refill for the dog! I felt very welcomed and so did the pup. One employee even brought my coffee out to me when it was ready, rather than having me go up to the window. So kind!

Went here on a Wednesday with my girl and found out that have $6 cheese boards and $6 charcuterie, I will for sure be back on Wednesday just for this lol. We got one of each and they were bomb! We also got the beer flight and got to choose 5 beers out of a ton on draft. The ONLY reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because we went back at 945 to order a couple of flatbreads and they said they’re kitchen closed an hour before closing time which is 11… so there were 15 minutes left which I know is enough time to cook a flatbread. Disappointed they closed earlier than they should’ve and we didn’t get to try them this time but will be back for sure and I recommend it!

Who doesn't love a great cider! We came out with group of friends as we wanted a great place to hang out and chat. There weren't a lot people there so we were able to grab a table. I must say they had plethora of flavors which made it a little difficult to decide. I opted for the flight because I wanted to try multiple flavors - my first time here. I must say the blueberry was fan favorite in the group. I am generally a semi-sweet person but they have option for those on every scale. Definitely worth checking out!

The atmosphere is bland. It is more of a thrift shop then a place to enjoy a cider and most of the flavors they were out of. I would say service and atmosphere leaves a lot to desired.

Finally got to stop by RCC after having had their blackberry bramble a few times at beer tasting events and finding it on a few shelves. Very glad I did. They had 16 or 17 options plus a few local brewery beers on tap, and ciders ranging from low 4% to 8%+ and from sweet to sour to spicy. Everything was really good but the razzberry bramble knocked my socks off today. The gentlemen at the bar who helped us out was very friendly and let us sample lots of different things which I really appreciated. Granted we were the only patrons there in a Friday at 5pm which seemed odd but we didn’t mind having the place to ourselves one bit. Can’t comment on the food or the vibe since we didn’t eat and nobody else was there but I will definitely be back and will continue to purchase their products when I’m lucky enough to find them.

Huntersville location: Deducted one star due to it being located along a busy roadway. A valiant effort was made though, to mitigate the noise with strategically placed fencing and landscaping materials. It seemed like the owners set out to create three separate spaces to provide three distinct experiences for their patrons. Allow me to explain. The yard is quite large with a a covered tap, corn hole arena, and a large tent provides lots of shaded seating. There was an unaffiliated food truck on the premises the day we visited but we did not partake—we came with our drinking caps on! This is the preferred space for expert day drinkers to congregate when the weather is fair. Everything out here was well conceived and perfectly executed. The interior has a large bar space over which the many beer selections are proudly displayed. Pub decor prevails in this dimly lit, cozy space with plenty of high top tables opposite the bar area. This spaces lends itself well for those seeking to catch a buzz when the weather is foul. The “game room” offers activities for those who enjoy multi-tasking while they imbibe—pool tables, darts, pinball and related games abound in this garage-like space. Overall the folks at Primal have created some great brews and provided a fantastic setting for you to enjoy them. It’s worth venturing away from the swarmed Uptown area of Charlotte to sample what Primal has to offer!

The beer is phenomenal. I loved so many of them. Lots of fun areas inside and outside to enjoy your time. Staff were fun and chatty and knowledgeable about their beer! Wish we lived closer bc we would be regulars! You can also buy mix and match 6 packs of their beer!

This place is super fun! We headed out to Primal Brewing for a Grateful Dead cover band show last weekend. The band had a last minute emergency come up, so the gig got cancelled without notice. Luckily we were both dressed in Grateful Drip, which started conversations all along the bar top! We had a great time hanging out with the owners and chopping it up with locals. Got a list of upcoming events to attend, but I'm sure we will be back before Halloween! Thanks you guys, for making us feel welcome! See y'all soon!!!

We had a great time here when we stopped in. The service at the bar was great. We stayed at the beer taps for the local NC beer so we could get flights and our time was well spent. The bartender had great recommendations for beers to try. The tap list is extensive. We'll be back to try more brews and food. Highly recommended if you're in the area and you enjoy a good beer.

I had a great time at this bar! The atmosphere is really inviting—cozy, stylish, and perfect whether you're out with friends or just looking to relax. The bartender and server were both friendly and attentive, making the experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. The food was surprisingly good—better than your typical bar fare—and there's a massive selection of beers to choose from, which was a definite highlight for me. If you're a beer lover, this place won't disappoint. The only downside to an otherwise great visit was Ryan the manager’s attitude. It came off as a bit dismissive and not in line with the great service provided by the rest of the staff. Still, I wouldn’t let that overshadow the overall experience. Even i understand the reason, it wasn't the right approach. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area! Let me know if you'd like to make it more formal, humorous, or tailored to a specific bar.

Our food was delicious; experience out of this world! The atmosphere was fun, clean and welcoming. There is also a parking garage across the street if you’re unable to find street parking. Donut shop
Restaurant
Reigning Doughnuts is a cozy doughnut spot located in Charlotte's NoDa neighborhood. This unassuming snack shack offers a variety of classic and unique doughnut flavors and toppings, served hot and fresh to order. The menu includes options like vanilla or chocolate icing, honey glaze, cinnamon, powdered sugar, and rotating specialty flavors. The shop operates from a small 11-by-8-foot space behind Growlers Pourhouse, where they also have a doughnut vending machine.
This amazing little place sells heavenly donuts! Made a special visit to this area with the primary intention of getting the donuts. It’s a hole-in-the-wall kinda place — literally ha! We got the cinnamon sugar donuts and it was amazing! Will have to revisit the next time for more donuts 🍩 😋
Arch S — Google review
Are these without yeast? Tasted like cake. Heavy heavy smell of “deep fried”. Chocolate donuts had a thin layer of chocolate, plain donuts were literally just a cake with the aftertaste of oil. Size of these donuts also doesn’t make any sense and definitely not like in pictures. $4,5 hot chocolate below mediocre, tasted like vending machine hot chocolate. Watery. Box fell apart by the time dasher delivered them so entire box was already open when he handed it to me. Certainly not the worst I’ve had but below average on all accounts.

We had to stop here for the smell alone. Donuts were made fresh and to order. Totally recommend for a quick bite if you’re craving donuts!

I’m so sad bc the donuts are so good but this was gross. And it doesn’t look like a regular hair strand and my hair is currently a light orange brown 🤢 maybe I’m just picky but just can’t imagine getting another donut from here, what if I didn’t see it!??

This cute walk up window hides a creative factory of flavor. The donuts are freshly made and toppings unique and flavorful. The lemon poppyseed melt in your mouth and leave you wanting more. The other flavors didn't disappoint. Worth a trip to NoDa!

Such good cake donuts. Made fresh. We got one of every flavor and there wasn't one that we didnt like. Great little find. Service was good ordered and was able to walk the block and pick back up.

Donuts are good but the service is horrible. You say good morning they don't say it back. They seem like they hate life there. They don't even say basic things like thank you for coming anything like that they just hand you the box and shut the window.

In addition to the beer selection, visitors can enjoy unique pizza by the slice options cooked in a huge double decker pizza oven. The friendly staff, including bartender Mike, provide excellent service and make patrons feel welcome.
I’ve walked by this little hot spot quite a few times and finally decided to check it out. Bar tender was very friendly and fast, and the location is in the heart of Terminal E. Bathrooms are close, and local beers are great. Decent bar selections, and you can have a beer to go which was fantastic. Highly recommend.

23 March 2025; 1145 PM near gate D10-12, sat at the bar (3 in party) waitress on staff was super rude when taking drink orders. Got the order wrong, When we got the check we noticed she charged for a double for one person that only ordered a single. We let it go, decided no tip. We were packing up to depart the bar and she walks over and waves the ticket and states, what you don’t tip? I said you have to earn a tip. She then decided to parade down the bar to complain to other patrons about not getting a tip. This type of employee will destroy your company.

I ordered the nachos.. how do you mess up nachos? I was fine when they said they didn't have sour cream, but they drenched the things on salsa de Verde and honesty? It ruined the whole thing. My husband ordered hot wings. The wings were BIG which was great because they were expensive. However. They didn't have any flavor. It was just hot sauce. I won't be back.

I've visited OMB outside of the airport and wanted to try OMB at the airport to try additional food. It took a long time for recognition from staff (which can be important at an airport.) For the food, the server gave me her recommendations after I asked - the Reuben was a total winner (the potato salad was meh)! I would stop here again if I had plenty of time.

My boyfriend and I went here to kill some time since American Airlines delayed our flight a few times, and we are so happy we did! Mike was our bartender and he was extremely nice and personable (and makes a mean margarita)! He gave honest suggestions and kept checking on us to make sure we were good the whole time we were there. Everyone was nice and the environment was super friendly! Definitely a go-to spot if you have time in the airport!

I know airport food is always over priced but this was over the top for sub SUBstandard food. They were out of chicken tenders and sweet potato fries before we even ordered. Waitress was more interested on talking to her co workers than helping us. The food was at least hot but bland and pointless. Totally disrespectful to the actual OMB. Hattie's Tap & Tavern is a laid-back spot in Plaza Hills, offering craft beer, cocktails, and a welcoming atmosphere. The tavern features pool tables, karaoke nights, and a covered patio with bar games. It has become a refuge for local musicians since the closure of other venues in NoDa. The bar hosts events like Country Music Mondays and Bingo Tuesdays while featuring live music on weekends.
Best Old Fashioned I've ever had. Their mixologist Tee was knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. Fantastic place to drink a few, play pool, darts, or join in on fun weekly events. Great back patio too.

The bartender Zach was super rude. This is a comfortable dive bar with good beer, drink specials, and retro video games available. There is a pool table and dart boards for use as well. Excellent live music was playing last time I was there. No food was available, so we brought our own burgers. The table behind us ordered a pizza from outside. The staff were helpful. There were also two dogs (of customers), on leashes. Great spot for a night out!
Brett D — Google review
Great place. They have Highland Gaelic. The back patio is really nice.
Ed M — Google review
I give this place 2 stars because the event at Hattie’s last night (11/15) “dance or die” is what saved this rating from being 1 star. Everything was great until the bartender gave us grief about not tipping immediately. We grabbed our drinks to make a quick toast and the bartender (white male with mustache wearing a tank top) gave us such grief about “not tipping immediately”. Truly an a-hole moment from him. It almost killed our mood but luckily the music was amazing and brought us back up immediately. We understand bartenders need tips, but don’t assume our actions and be an a-hole and become accusatory about it and make us feel like we’re putting your livelihood at risk.

The U.S. National Whitewater Center is an awesome, phenomenal place! I highly recommend it, especially for families. It is well worth the visit and the drive. Activities and Facilities This place offers so much more than just the water activities. You can find: • Zip lines • Whitewater kayaking and rafting • Mountain biking • A massive rock climbing wall that hangs out over a pool • Two or three bars on location serving draft beer • A conference center and plenty of open space. We were here for four days for the slalom kayaking and national kayaking cross competitions, and it was a blast. My son is having just as much fun on his second visit as he did the first time. Value and Recommendation The season pass is 100% affordable, making it a fantastic value if you're local to the Charlotte area. If you are in Charlotte, you absolutely have to check this place out. We will definitely be coming back again!

Super cool Place to just enter for a $12 parking fee and take a walk. Have a picnic, even bring your dogs in for a walk. They have an area down the street. That's off-leash, very cool place. You can spend the money to get on kayaks or rafts and ride on the white water rafting pool,/ Area rock, climbing over pools. Stand up paddle boarding in a completely different area off of the river creek. Super cool area Super cool place, whenever in the Charlotte area. I highly recommend this for you. The kids, the wife, the son, the cousin, the daughter, the aunt, everyone is welcome. Very nice and friendly atmosphere go now

First time experiencing white water rafting and such a blast! We held a quick conference there in the morning at their lodge meeting center and then stayed for lunch and white water rafting! What an awesome place! We came for a few hours and wished we'd planned on taking the whole day. We managed to pack in Rafting, climbing, hitting up the dog park and a really tasty late lunch. And there was so much more to do. BUT this is also a great place to come and just relax. You only have to pay to park if you just want to come and relax in the beautiful park-like setting. And then if you are feeling like having some adventure time, you can a'la cart activities or buy a day pass OR get a yearly pass which is a steal. And it should be said that we were really impressed with the staff. Everyone was not only very nice, but also professional. We wish we had not waited so long to come out and enjoy this wonderful place.

Great time here! Started out as a company rafting trip.... A couple of us stayed all day. Highly recommend doing the day pass just know that you have to pay extra for the tall zip lines on top of it. (They didn't disclose this) The big zips were worth it! Recommend the top line to ropes bridges to bottom zip over the rapids. The biggest issues that we had were miscommunication on the employees part. It seemed like everybody we talked to had only been working there two months or less.... There's no consistency between which year from one employee to the next regarding where to go or what to do. Prime example was calling 2 months ahead of time to schedule the company rafting trip and specifically asking about the rodeo option for multiple people. We were told at that time that you could show up day of and get in. They were not worried about reservations ahead of time as it probably wouldn't be too busy. Let me show up the day of and they tell us that they don't do it on weekends 🙄. Our guide made up for it as there was only four of us in the big boat and he read the people perfectly and made sure we did the most extreme he could to make it fun!

Stopped in on a Saturday after 12 PM for the first time. No hostess and no servers to be found. There was a group setting up for a party in the left side dining area. Salud Beer Shop is a popular beer garden in the Noda area of San Francisco. It features over 250 beers from all over the world, as well as foodoptions like Mexican Street tacos.
Salud Beer Shop, nestled in the NoDa neighborhood. This joint is a beer lover’s paradise, serving up brews by the can and tap, wine, and they even have non-alcoholic options for those taking it easy. With seating for 5 at the bar and about 25 in the dining area, it’s cozy, intimate, and perfect for catching up with friends or making new ones. When I strolled in, the TVs were buzzing with the excitement of the Euro soccer game, making it the ideal spot to kick back and enjoy a pint and a pizza. Parking? No worries there! Just a hop, skip, and a jump to a public parking garage that’ll set you back $5 an hour. Not too shabby for NoDa. The menu at Salud is short but sweet, featuring pizza, meatballs, salads, and a couple of sandwiches. But let’s be real—I came here for the pizza, based on rave reviews from the local foodies. They’ve got a killer weekday lunch special: a cheese, margarita, or pepperoni pizza and 4 wings for a cool $15. Can’t beat that deal! They offer 11 different 12-inch wood-fired pizzas, with vegan cheese available for those plant-based pals. I asked the bartender for his top pick, and he steered me towards the “El Gordo.” This pie comes loaded with house red sauce, mozzarella, a dollop of ricotta, thin slices of meatball, salami, basil leaves, EVOO, sea salt, and a drizzle of house-made hot honey. The “El Gordo” arrived fresh out of the oven, piping hot and looking like a million bucks. Each slice was a work of art, with a slice of salami, a thin slice of meatball, a dollop of ricotta, basil leaves, and a drizzle of hot honey. If I had one tiny critique, it would be that the meatball could’ve been a bit more generous. One small sliver per slice left me wanting more of that meaty goodness. The red sauce was on point—sweet, just the way I like it. The mozzarella was plentiful, maybe even a bit too plentiful, as it turned the crust a bit greasy and soggy. And while the hot honey was a nice touch, I wish there had been more of it to really amp up the flavor. The crust itself was on the softer side, so if you’re a fan of a crispier bite, I’d recommend asking them to cook it a bit longer. All in all, Salud Beer Shop is definitely a spot I’d return to, especially with a friend to share a pie and some wings. And if you’re a beer connoisseur, this place should be on your must-visit list.

Charlotte is NOT known for its pizza but when you find a great place that its known mainly for their beer, wine and coffee, the foodie in you becomes super curious. My curiosity doesnt always favor but in Salud it always does. Their pizza is anything but typical. I recently went and tried two other pies rather than my typical tenderoni (pepperoni) but glad I got out of my comfort zone. Their service is friendly and the location is prime. Down stairs is their bottle shop where you can order and enjoy just the same as the upstairs typically known for their coffee however also has beers on tap and wine. I personally prefer to sit out on their small side porch if weather permits but the upstairs is great with all the comfy seating! Cheers~

Honestly, I just came here to pass the time while we waited for another bar to open up down the street. When I arrived with my friends it was VERY quiet and we kind of felt awkward when we arrived just because of how quiet it was. There was no music at all. They have a big open floor plan with plenty of seat options to choose from. From regular dining, it is tabled to a more lounge couch, sofa style. Their decorations were chic and modern, and they also had merchandise if you wanted to buy something. The only thing off about the place was that they didn't have music playing at all and it wasn't until about an Hr later when we realized they turned the music on so the vibe instantly changed after. We didn't stay too long. Just ordered a glass of wine, and that's it. I definitely would come back, though again. It seems like a cool spot to chill at if you don't feel like walking far.

Not only was this pizza delicious, but Jenna was awesome! After multiple, epically ridiculous mistakes from DoorDash (where both myself and the restaurant got screwed over), she went incredibly above and beyond to make sure we got our pizza. Came here with my roommate for the first time. Bartender was real nice and has a cool atmosphere. I came here for the second time after a run (I live right next door). Asked for a beer but was told that there’s no tap to pay, which was all I had. CFO was there and overheard me accept my loss. He told the bartender to pour it for me anyway, even though I couldn’t pay right then and there. I immediately came to review. That’s something you don’t see everyday. I’ll be sure to repay the favor. Cool place with kind people.

Came for the cousins main lobster food truck .. got two beers each . Barkeep SHANE .. helped us decide what we needed ! Great service and cold beer and atmosphere !
Monalisa N — Google review
Just a decent chill spot to grab a beer and some quiet time or conversation. Sometimes an epic food truck. Everyone seems cool. Amazing rotating draft beer selection and a cooler full of great beers to go. Wine too.
A. D — Google review
A great place to grab a beer. They have a large outdoor patio where locals hang out and sip on their beverages of choice. The owner is one of the original craft beer purveyors in Charlotte so expect to see only top notch beers on the draught menu. It's a bottle shop as well so you can grab beer to go.
Jeff M — Google review
Nothing like sitting outside on a beautiful day breathing soot from cars and buses. Nothing personal on the spot it’s just right on the road and there is very little seating inside. Basically an outside place on Park Road. The bottled beers are super expensive but they do have variety. Just not my jam.
Darcek D — Google review
Update - I was actively talking/asking a question and was talked over. The service ruined my beer. I was rushed to pick a beer and the bartender was talking to people behind me while I was ordering.
Dee — Google review
I like Brawley's for the many beers and ciders on tap, the laid back honor payment policy, and the many bottles and cans you can buy in the store. The indoor space is a little cramped, but if you are there when there aren't too many people I can see how sitting at the small bar would be nice. The outdoor space is pretty neat with the many tables and fire pit. My problem with Brawley's is their prices and the fact that all the bottled or canned beverages are only for to go purchases. I was rather surprised by this because there were several things they had that I really wanted to try, but I wanted to try them there rather than buy it and go home. Besides that the prices on draft beers I thought were a little lofty.

Place was awesome! Great selections of beer. Its always busy so don't let the slight crowd worry you.

Legion Brewing West Morehead is a delightful addition to the vibrant Plaza Midwood neighborhood, offering an inviting outdoor space that’s perfect for enjoying craft beers. This brewery stands out with its three locations across Charlotte, including West Morehead, where visitors can savor a variety of house-brewed beers and delicious Mediterranean-inspired dishes. The spacious outdoor area is pet-friendly, making it an ideal spot for dog lovers to relax while sipping on their favorite brews.
This was my first time coming here. The arancini was SO good. Crispy, flavorful, and one of the best I’ve had in a minute. The sauce was a well balanced marinara style that didn’t fight the flavor of soda arancini, like often happens in my experience, but simply enhanced it. The rotisserie chicken bowl was really tasty too! The ají verde sauce was a delicious way to bind all the flavors together. I do wish there was maybe a little garlic or something as well, but I also just really like garlic, so I could be biased. Very tasty overall and will definitely be coming back.

Erica with Offline - Great service and good food. Had the buffalo pizza, smoked brisket sandwich and mac and cheese. Pizza and brisket was great. 9/10 The mac and cheese is creamy like the blue box kind. Solid 6/10.

I really enjoyed Legion Brewing West Morehead in Charlotte, North Carolina. I’ve been to all of their locations and this one is just as good. Unbelievable, superior service. We had multiple people asking us if we needed anything! Love their indoor and outdoor space and of course, their beers and food are amazing! Will definitely go back again soon!
HJC — Google review
Fun atmosphere. Really good food and pretty good beer. Friendly staff and a pretty deep menu. Multiple salad, pizza, app, and sandwich options. There's a huge bar and tables inside overlooking the brew tanks. Outside, there is a large patio area that can be a bit warm in the summer; however, they do their best to keep it cool with fans and a patchwork of tarps. The Pilsner beer was quite good ans my friends enjoyed their IPA. I look forward to returning.
Brad K — Google review
Where do I start? So we had 5 adults and 2 children in our party. We had to put two tables together to fit our party in the outside patio. Wait, did I'm tell you the AC inside was not working? Then after we put the tables together got the kids settled. The manager came out and said, we can't put the tables together! No signage nothing. So we moved to smaller more cramped tables. Then the food came out. My brisket was dry. Really very dry. However my grandkids and the rest of my family seemed to enjoy their meals. The so called kids pizza was huge. The waiter was amazing the only real bright spot here. So to sum it up I would most likely say there are a lot better options in the western Charlotte area. The Karen manager spoiled it for everyone in my party. We had a $250+ check at the end. So keep all that in mind when considering if you want to come here.
Freddy C — Google review
This place is hot! Highly recommended. Good clean tasting beers. IPA beers are wonderful. Look at the haze. Had a Sicilian Pizza with pepper hot honey. Good.
EDD M — Google review
I love Legion and this location/menu is my favorite. Great beers (love their sours), vibe, outdoor area, and food! I will never quite get over that they stopped selling their amazing Bob’s pretzels. The beer bread they replaced it with was delicious but underwhelming for 4 tiny pieces for $8. Otherwise, always one of my fav places!
Laura B — Google review
Second time coming to this location. Food was incredible last time we were here, was very excited to try more of the menu. Unfortunately it was just too hot inside for us to stay and eat. We had a beer and the bartender was welcoming and attentive! Would like to come back when AC is working.

Bulldog Taproom/Social Club in Southend is a vibrant neighborhood gem that truly embodies the spirit of craft beer culture. With an impressive array of rotating brews on tap, this laid-back spot caters to all tastes, offering not just beer but also wine and cocktails. It's the perfect place to unwind after work or enjoy a lively Saturday night with friends. The welcoming atmosphere is enhanced by friendly staff, like bartender Thai, who make every visit special.
So we didn't know that this place had so many locations. But we happened to be in the area and decided to stop in. We were greeted by a really sweet bartender named Thai! This was a really cool spot. They had a DJ booth and everything for different events. We just went in to watch the game I founs out that people thought they were closed, but it's not or yet to be decided! So make your way over and have a drink and a good time!

One of the worst bars I’ve ever been to. The loudest music ever for 6 people and absolutely dead
Max M — Google review
8.20 for a Miller light aluminum can is absurd anywhere especially in a converted garage dive bar. No wonder it's usually empty.
Justin S — Google review
Great bar with massive selection of beers on tap. Alex at the bar was great.
Palazoloup — Google review
Went to the new bulldog 2.0 for the first time 2 weekends ago on 4/20. Had my dog with me (who is also a registered service dog) and wanted to stop in for one beer before heading back home. The blonde girl who was bartending that night refused service because of my dog. She explained to me how the owner is very strict and will not allow dogs in the building therefore she couldn't serve me at all or allow me to buy anything from there. I am extremely disappointed in the service. I used to love the old Bulldog on Winnifred but after this experience I will not be coming back. Do not recommend unless you enjoy being greeted by rude bartenders.
Zach D — Google review
The bar to the right moves a lot. Made of cheap wood. It’s gonna break soon. Bars ok, bartenders spend a lot of time on their phones. Drinks expensive. It’s a typical Southend bar away from the Southend glam. Turn it to a country bar then you’ll have a diamond. You can feel every tap on the bar.
Christian W — Google review
Super dog friendly! Good drinks and a good place to just hang out. Have never been at night but when I walk by the place looks like it gets pretty jammed. Classic hole in the wall no frills and you gotta love that because Charlotte needs more spots like this. The not-so Hidden gem of the South End

The Chamber by Wooden Robot, located in Charlotte's NoDa neighborhood, is the second location of the popular South End brewery. This 15-barrel urban farmhouse brewery houses Wooden Robot's wood-aging facility and offers visitors views of their oak foeders and barrels while enjoying seasonal sours or strong IPAs. The brewery also features a rooftop patio with stunning views and hosts a variety of local food trucks Wednesday through Sunday.
Great spot in a great location. Being right off the rail adds this cool city connected flare. Large space with a huge bar and chill upstairs. Sitting at the bar and taking in the outdoor view was good ambiance. Beers here are legit. Plentiful in selection and flavors were all on point.
Justin N — Google review
Big open brewery with a lot of seating inside as well as outside. They are pet friendly and also have lots of board games to play. Came on a Sunday afternoon and was not busy at all. They offer wine and beer only no hard liquor. The bartender was super nice and gave great recommendations. This is located in Noda, and I believe they do have some parking spaces beside the brewery, but not a lot, so street parking is the way to go. If you like beer, this is definitely a good place for you to try out. Other than that, it's just a regular brewery.
Jennifer E — Google review
Very convenient to the light rail. Excellent beer. I recommend the coffee blond Good Morning Vietnam and the Pilsner Pilmatic. They always have a food truck. Very close to 2 bars Idlewild and The Ugly. Talked to the bartender Taylor about how cool this location is. Great start for any NoDa pub crawl.
Mike N — Google review
Great Location, Cool Interior and Patio, Good Beers Great: location is perfect, as it is literally right across from light rail and in a great spot close to other restaurants, bars, eateries. Flight tray setup is one of the coolest I've seen with a circle sticker to give your selections. Some neat selections based mostly around golden ales. The Funk (7/10) and Always (7/10) were good with unique flavors. The Vietnam (8/10) was a constantly changing ale in a good way. Cool interior with couches and tables. Service: helpful, friendly, and prompt. Value: one flight came to $14 before tip, which is pretty standard, maybe a little more, but overall fine. Improve: N/A Summary: Good beers @ great location!!
Dawson D — Google review
We were in Noda for a night and wanted to grab a quick pre dinner drink. The Mrs wanted a place with some NA options so we gave them a try. A parking garage next door was convenient for parking as there is no street parking anywhere to be found. We came in and we’re welcomed by one of the coolest breweries you will see, cool artwork, couches, and a very rustic vibe. Plenty of beer choices and plenty of NA options(tho canned only). They also had merch for sale and a Trivia night going on (Thursday). Go here for any occasion.
Robin M — Google review
What a chill vibe. I had there porter. It wasn’t the best but it was okay. I really liked their vibe. Very open and the prices were affordable. My friends and I played some board games and enjoyed ourselves. Overall great place.
Armando S — Google review
One of my top 5 breweries in Charlotte. Its a nice beautiful location easy access to light rail.. next to everything. In noda district. The beertenders need to have a little more urgency.. but fantastic beer great ambience i like the rooftop!
Ryan M — Google review
You have to check this brewery out when visiting Charlotte! Attention and recommendations made at the bar were the best! Even though we got there a bit late to check the rooftop; the bar indoor did not disappoint! It has a very laidback vibe, with some comfy couches and high tops all over! Their outdoor is really cute too but it was a bit too cold for me to hang outside 😅 About the beers? ⁃ What he’s having IPA 6.5% ABV ⁃ Unicorn Chaser IPA 6% ABV ⁃ Juice-o-Tron IPA 6% ABV ⁃ Pops Pilsner 5.5% ABV ⁃ Good night Vietnam Porter 5% ABV

Midnight Mulligan Brewing is a spacious 10,000-square-foot brewery and restaurant featuring a large 3,000-square-foot patio with stunning skyline views and charming string lights. The taproom conveniently connects to Summit Seltzer next door, allowing patrons to bring their seltzer into Midnight Mulligan or vice versa. The chic environment with black undertones offers comfortable seating and an array of delicious brews on tap.
We are so BUSY at The Itterly Team with eXp Realty it is so nice to relax at Midnight Mulligan. Alexa is always so nice and quick with our order. She is also fun to talk to. The environment is chic with undertones of black. Comfortable seating and good brews on tap. Fun games to play especially our FAVORITE the ring game! Easy parking. Super GREAT FOOD. The grilled cheese is good and so are the crispy yummy french fries. Definitely the place to be. Plus they have their own NFL fan club and run club. Great service with nice people.

As a BUSY real estate agent with The Itterly Team at eXp Realty it is so nice to take a load off and grab some great food and brews. The environment is chill though they do have their own NFL fan club and run club the atmosphere is enjoyable. The games they have are a lot of fun especially my favorite the RING GAME. I judge the place on their awesome beers, perfect location and crispy yummy fries. Definitely the place to go if your looking for a local spot!

Wow, wow, WOW! Fantastic local brewery with the tastiest pub food in town!! The Tap House burger is the juiciest damn burger I’ve had in a LONG time. I suggest accompanying it with the house aioli sauce and the sweet potato fries (they are slightly sprinkled with a hint of sugar, making them the perfect sweet and savory combination!). If you have a tough time finding a crisp, crowd-pleasing beer, the West End Wheat is perfectly fragranced, light, and smooth; it reminds me of a good Riesling in beer form. Midnight Mulligan also has a dog-friendly patio, shuffleboards and darts, and a large adjacent parking lot. With the perfect patio and view of uptown, roomy interiors, and KILLER food and drinks, Midnight Mulligan is a MUST-VISIT in Charlotte. We’ll be back very soon!!
Raquel N — Google review
First time here, well it's only been opened a few days. Lovely space, super clean, awesome friendly service. They have outdoor seating that is dog friendly. I think dogs are not allowed inside due to food eventually being served there. Nice view of the Charlotte skyline and plenty of parking. Loved that they had some low percentage beers to choose from so you safely drink a couple. We will visit again when the kitchen opens.

Delicious hot pretzel. Not sure about the salads. Fun area to play games with family and friends! Would also recommend to take coworkers here, but make sure you follow proper work place training. Nice outdoor patio.

Big place with home like feel. Food is good and the beer is great. Better food selection then most breweries in Charlotte. The staff is friendly. A little on the pricey side for a brewery but never the less a great atmosphere.
Gustavo L — Google review
This place is an unexpected gem. I’m not a beer person so I was prepared to be underwhelmed. However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn they have a full bar and food. I ordered the blackened mahi sandwich, side caesar salad, with the Skyline Tequila based Drink. The food and the drinks were amazing! Highly recommend!

Great view of the city and spacious inside, built to fit plenty. Beer was good but food size was tiny for the price. We showed up with intention of eating dinner and left before due how small the portions were.
