Delicious beers, nice service, nice space. I love the Czech Pilsner and the birra rosso and especially the new hazy mango NEIPA. The steak night special was good too, and great value at $24.

We had our daughter's first birthday party at Stomping Ground recently and had such a blast! We chose it because of the delightful beer garden area which has a cubby house for the kids. But the food and service were impeccable as well. We ordered pizzas, garlic bread, charcuterie boards, and salads for everyone which were all super tasty, particularly the garlic bread and sausage pizza! And the staff were super helpful came cake time, providing serving plates, knife, lighter, etc. Overall would definitely recommend for a small kids party (we had around 18 people in total including kids) or a get together!

I went for dinner with friends (and all our pups!) and had such a lovely time that I went back a few days later for lunch. The mushroom sandwich with Swiss cheese, rocket, truffle aioli, and shoestring fries was delicious! The staff were so lovely and accommodating, even though it was quite busy. It’s a fantastic dog-friendly spot, but if you have pets or are sensitive to noise, it’s best to be seated away from the kids’ cubby area.

Very impressed. This place is a full package. Decent beer with a great range, but the food is top notch for a taproom. I've visited many and this taproom is one of the best. Refreshing to see healthy-ish options that are soo much better than burgers and fries.

Ended our date night with a cheeky bevy and meal here, my goodness is it beautiful in there. If your into that rustic look head into this place and check it out! Good vibe, great service and the food was chefs kiss 🤌 thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back.

Very impressed with Stomping Ground Brewery. Great space, plants, light, food! All their beers are made in house, with the aroma of warm barley in the air. An impressive 26 selections on tap. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town again.

We've been here a mil times. They changed menus all the time but it always good 👏🏻👩‍🍳💋 trust their taste, just order anything looks good to you Especially kids n pets friendly. Dogs allowed inside n staffs love them! Lots of vegetarian, gluten-free opts. Chicken wings are soo good even when they change the recipe. Last time was buffalo, this time was ginger beer. Fries always crunchy, love the aioli too. The vibe is bit dark but cosy.

This place is cool. The service is excellent, and I need to make a call out to Renee for her great customer service. I tried a Splice of Heaven - Pine Lime IPA which was absolutely delicious. The Tropical Crush alcoholic seltzer was a mango tasting drink, and soo yummy. My other favorite drink was a Dream Cake Coconut Cake Imperial Dark Ale. This ale was absolutely moorish, just perfect. It was like drinking a dark chocolate cake, its was just perfect. We also shared some pizzas. A vegetarian and another meat pizza which was good but the vegetarian one was a winner! Overall it was a great experience and it won't be 4 years before I go back next time haha. My partner and I shared a few drinks. Previous review - January 2016 This place is good fun. A little microbrewery in the industrial area of Richmond/Abbotsford. Interesting beers like watermelon beer, which tastes surprisingly good. It's a cool little place, perfect for a craft beer and they have a pizza van next door.

Great crafted beer selection and interesting setup hipster bar with an awesome vibe and good music. Food options are limited to pizza which is a bit disappointing. The pizza is fabulous but a bit pricy. They have Tuesday pizza nights which you can get 10 bucks pizza.

Fun spot with a cool bit of decor and plenty of mismatched but comfortable lounges and chairs along the place. The beers are great and the seltzers are varied - lots of beverages for all of the crew to check out. Pool table is a nice addition

2024: Great for pres or just a night of frothies. Laid back and super casual, love the 90's throwback. The Margherita Simpson and Leonardo DiCapricciosa are punny as hell.

Fantastic service, food, atmosphere & space! Came here for the Second Chance Animal Rescue event today with two of my dogs. It was fantastic & great to see Moondog get behind such a great cause. Pizzas were great, especially the salami one (pictured). Only recommendation would be for some fresh citrus slices to go with the selzters 👌🏼

Had a chilled Saturday there. Good choice of beer. The free pop corn is a bit salty, but it's free - First World issues. Decent choice of beer, and decent pizzas provided externally by a pizza truck.

Dropped in for dinner and it turned out to be 'locals night' - $10 pizza and $10 beer, a crazy deal! The pizza was honestly one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time and the beer was also delicious. Great deal for a Wednesday night. I also tried the gin and tonic and it had a refreshing taste.

Such a great local spot for drinks and pizza! We love the beer selection and the pizza is delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy with live entertainment and the footy playing in the background. Staff are super friendly! This is definitely a favorite.

Locals night is awesome value and Grand Final day was fantastic. The atmosphere is always relaxed, special events well organised and the range of beer on tap ensures you can find a brew to your liking. Can highly recommend the smokey BBQ wings and the Roni pizza hits the spot everytime. A great place to go for a quiet night to watch sport. Families seem well accommodated for. All in all, a great venue!

Absolutely love this place! West Side Ale Works has an incredible selection of Belgian lambics and ales — it's rare to find such a well-curated range in one spot. Whether you're after something funky, fruity, or complex, they’ve got you covered. The staff are super friendly and clearly passionate about beer, always happy to recommend something new or hard-to-find. A must-visit for any beer lover!

We came here 2 years ago, and decided to pay them a visit. They have an extensive beer selection (20 to be exact), with specialty that includes American Pale Ales, West Coast IPAs, American Sours, and Stouts. The friendly staff can help out with recommendations. We also ordered Mexicali pizza (with salami, garlic & Jalapeño - $25) & So Cal pizza (pepperoni, mushroom, black olives & artichoke - $25). While we had to wait for 35min, it was served pipping hot with fresh ingredients. We enjoyed it with the beer. A good place for lots of beer options, and pizzas. Just prepare yourself to wait to get the food.

I'm a Chiefs fan and had an awesome time at the superbowl event on Monday (which says it all). The owner and staff were all friendly and generous and my mates and I will absolutely be back! (Hopefully not to see the chiefs lose a superbowl though). Edit - oh and the beer was superlative!

My favourite brewery. Every beer here is top notch. Especially the Cosmic Microwave and that Imperial Stout! Then the food was a nice surprise. Very, very good tacos. Came for the beers, stayed for the tacos... and more beers. Super friendly staff and a great venue too.

Bodriggy just launched a new brew, so went in for a quick visit. Bodriggy is a really roomy brewpub with comfortable seating areas. If your hungry a selection from their mex inspired menu is highly recommended all can be washed down with a great craft beers. 👍👍👍👍

There's a new beer 🍺 called Quench IPA made by Bodriggybrewing, which is really tasty. You could say its satisfaction served ice cold. Especially on a hot day with summer ☀️ coming up. I went to their venue in Abbotsford, and the food at Bodriggy is South American, and it's really impressive 😋 But for me, this Quench IPA beer is a cracker. It's definitely sessionable, and despite it being 6.2%, it's not a heavy beer. Cheers to that 🍻 #collab

Gosh‼️let's start with the fantastic beef taco's which were just brilliant on Taco Monday + a pint of Hazy Speccy Juice incredibly good icy cold craft beer it was the best I have had in a long time ❤️ Bodriggy is much bigger inside than it appears the decor and atmosphere is much better than most breweries. I was super impressed with Alex the young guy pouring my beer he was really friendly and easy to chat to. Deinitely its a 10/10 for the beer, the food and the great customer service. Will highly reccomend Bodriggy to my friends and family ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you to Bodriggy for being such a wonderful venue to hold a wedding reception. I was the Wedding Coordinator for Scott and Bruce’s wedding, and the staff were wonderful, kind and incredibly supportive. The venue was the perfect size for a sit-down dinner of 114 guests, with plenty of room for a dance floor and a games room upstairs. A special thanks to Morgan for her support and proactiveness during set up, and to Jimmy for his kindness and attentiveness throughout the evening! 5 STARS

Bodriggy Brewing Co. is such a fun spot in Abbotsford 🍺 Big warehouse vibes, great atmosphere, and a huge range of fresh craft beers on tap. The food (tacos + wings!) pairs perfectly, and the staff are super friendly. Perfect place to chill with friends.

We made a last minute booking for four on a busy Saturday night. From the moment we walked in, the staff were absolutely exceptional, and attentive, even as the pub filled out. We were even able to snag a booth to have dinner with an extra two friends, following on from our original booking. The food was exceptional and again the table service we experienced was second to none- no ask was too much. Every order willed with enthusiasm and good humour. Every person in the group was excited to plan our next return. Highly recommend!

Great brewery, their pale ale is the pick! The brewery is nice, not a large range of special beers to try, but a beer-a-misu is a fun enough desert to make it worth the trip.

Not far from the Melbourne CBD, about 20min by train. Quiet neighborhood, but great spot to chill & have a few drinks. Staff has a lot of little tidbit bits about the brewery & the beer. Very welcoming. I also enjoyed that they played a lot of Gypsy Kings.

Delicious fruity and Hoppy ales available here. Take home also. 4-6pm is happy hour with scooners for pot prices. Food options have been cut back to nachos and wings but sometimes they got a food truck out front for more options (e.g. pizza). Big open space inside so kids can run around and not go crazy doing nothing.

Great place, it’s not in a very well area but definitely one of the best pubs in spotswood. I tried the neipa which was ok but Jaffa beer was delicious. Nice happy hour from 4 to 6. It’s really worth make the trip to know the place or step by if you’re close by.

Great beer and fitout. An easy walk from the station so no need to drive. A good spot for functions as they have plenty of room. Be sure to try the Taco, one of my favourite beers on offer.

Nice microbrewery in quiet street in Kensington. Quite small with indoor and outdoor seating. Good Beer selection. Not busy when we visited on a Sunday afternoon.

The pay-off says “Brewed Next Door” and I am lucky that it is literally walking distance from my place. This Brewhouse is one of the very few independent craft breweries in inner-city Melbourne. We got a couple of beers for another Covid lockdown Zoom beers night! Monsieur Grey IPA is English IPA with an amazing smell of Earl Gray tea! Highly recommended. Looking forward to try their Blue Billy Amber Ale (unfortunately not available today) at their beer garden.

Just visited these guys for our first out of lockdown pint and we were not disappointed. The staff were so friendly, helpful and accommodating and clearly working their arses off with the new restrictions. Felt very safe and super relaxed in this new world. Beer was delicious and we grabbed some cans for tomorrow on our way out. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Absolutely love the Grey IPA, such a delicious unique beer. I picked up a growler and get it filled every time I pop in, really short walk from Macaulay Station, they are also happy for you to order food in while there. Great atmosphere

Good place for a business / casual catch up. Nice atmosphere with lot of food & drinks options. Ambient parking in the back of the facility which makes it much easier to access. Overall good experience and will visit again.

Came on a rainy Sunday afternoon and the place was absolutely heaving with birthday functions, and big groups, but the staff were all still amazingly friendly, and food and drinks orders came out in good time. Great place for families, the games room, playground and photo booth and all a bit with the kids. Good vibes inside, feels very welcoming. I love this place! It has a great vibe. It is perfect for a relaxed casual get together, I invited friends and family for my birthday. Everybody is impressed with the set up the moment they first walk in, and its welcoming for all ages. Staff are friendly and the food and the drinks are great!

The place is pretty damn good. We came for an early booking, starting at 4pm, the food was decent pub style food, cooked well. The service was great. The let down was the atmosphere. It gets really dark in here, and while that might be an atmosphere to some, it felt too dark. Parts of the venue seemed to be extremely dark, which may be because of the high lights.

Went with some friends for a Saturday lunch. The food took 45-50 mins to arrive. We had drinks which made the wait ok. It's a great place for families. There were a lot of kids running about but they were all good and seemed entertained. When the food came, we were a little famished and I forgot to take photos. Sorry. The food was good. Overall, I will definitely suggest this for families.

A chilled place to take shelter on a rainy afternoon with your friends. Take a sip of your drink, take a bite, and catch up on the gossip! Very hip decor 👌 with activities like trivia night or soccer table, etc. The staff were also quite nice and helpful. The only thing that bothered me were the prices. It seemed dear compared to other similar places. The food is nice and tasty but not worthy of such a price which i feel like is mainly due to the location.

It's got that DIY charm: cheap timber walls, minimal frills, and a space that feels like it was thrown together with love and leftover materials. The result? Something authentically inviting, not just convieniently close to home. Now, don’t get me wrong - the ever-rotating tap list is a wild ride and worth the visit. It’s a bit like going to GABS: you're guaranteed to try something you didn’t even know existed (and might not want to again). I’ve never had a bad beer here - just some that were, shall we say, challenging. If you're looking for a trusty go-to brew, this may not be your happy place. But if you like beer roulette, you’re in the right joint. It’s a locals-first venue, and you can feel it - families, neighbours, and the occasional out-of-towner who looks like they meant to go to Welcome to Thornbury and just kept walking. The staff are lovely but clear: if you bring kids, keep them close. After 8pm, it’s adults-only, which feels like a public service announcement. Inside, the noise levels are usually bearable, but if it gets too much, there’s a cracking outdoor area. (And Darebin Council - seriously, give T&M their extra space back already.) The food’s also a winner. Pub snacks that punch above their weight (those chicken wings!), weekly deals, a standout parma burger, and prices that feel fair - especially in a neighbourhood where a pint can cost more than a round-trip Myki fare. There might be shinier bars within walking distance, but Tallboy has earned its place as a locals’ favourite. It’s not trying to be the coolest bar in town - just the one you actually want to come back to. And that, honestly, is worth a lot.

Always such a fabulous time at Tallboy & Moose. The staff are incredible and are super helpful when it comes to choosing beer. I always find myself coming back here for the wonderful atmosphere. What a great relaxed & friendly venue - One of those places you can feel at home from the moment you arrive. The bar staff were great - quick, friendly service and happy to have a chat about craft beer in general. I had always thought highly of Tallboy & Moose from drinking their packaged beer, but I was very impressed by the variety and quality of their tap list. Highly recommend!

Such a cool and funky place. Came here for a 1st birthday. Never seen so many kids at a brewery. Staff were great and very helpful when choosing from their interesting drinks list. I got a platter to try 4 different beers. Some were a hit, some were a miss. But I enjoyed the adventure. Food was great. Would go back for sure. Need to try everything else they had.

First and foremost the beer and food is fantastic. However if you're a family in particular with young kids, this is not the place to go. As much as they do try cater for kids and families with a toy box and some colouring equiptment (but make sure you don't take the "adults only" colouring container), unless they are glued to the seats you are not welcome there. Don't worry, there's a sign when you walk in that explicitly says what their expectations are. Kids within arms reach, no running and absosultely no kids after 8pm. Great place.... Not kid friendly.

Great place to dine! Second time I’ve been to this place, specifically to dine. Food was so flavourful! The menu is South American with so many fantastic options. Vegan options are plentiful and non-vegan too. The flavour combinations are surprisingly delightful. A must visit 😊

Had a brewing tour and a good time here today with my old and new friends. Their beer are really fresh. Light and easy to drink. We had four rounds following the recommendation, while I love the bicycle the best. Also recommend their okinawa sour and rice xpa. Btw, their Brazil food was so delicious as well.

Stopped here for an early dinner mid week and really enjoyed it. The staff were really friendly and we got some of their specials. The steak and half Chicken with fries and popcorn cassava (amazing). Really good value deals and nice outdoor seating on a warm day. Will Be back.

Temple Brewing is a true gem! Came in today for the Brazilian bbq and it was delicious—especially the sausages. Tried a couple delicious beers on tap and ended the sesh with $2 mandarin sour, which was delightful. Definitely coming back. Highly recommended. Thanks again!

Spectacular Brazilian food that comes only second to the beer on offer. Temple Brewery is an excellent independent family-run brewery that stands out above the rest. If you are looking for a great vibe to sink some tasty craft beers (Weston St IPA is a recommend) while dining on authentic Brazilian food, look no further. They also host fun trivia and board games nights! Definitely a better vibe than those commercialised ‘craft’ breweries.

Such a chill vibe here. There's a view of the production area from the dining room, which gave the place spunk. For anyone who like sour ale, the Okinawa Sour was refreshing and easy to drink. The food was super tasty. Service was friendly. This place is going to be a delight to hang out at in warmer weather.

Temple brewing melbourne! Quite big brewery as i know. With 10 taps of beer selection. Food also available and close at 11 pm(last order of food on 10 pm, if i am not forgot). The ipa and xpa were nice!

Pub had a nice atmosphere and the outdoor rooftop was great. It wasn't huge, but ample seating. There was a great selection of beers etc. The food was disappointing though. The lamb shoulder was extremely fatty and wasn't a huge amount of meat. At $38 I was hoping for a bit better quality. The salad that came with it was really nice though. The fried chicken was slightly overcooked. Overall I'd come back and try something else as maybe it was an off day.

The atmosphere was great and the bartender was lovely. Unfortunately my Oyster Mushroom Fettuccine pasta was undercooked, and some of the fettuccine stuck together, making it a bit hard to chew. Not really what you want from a $30 meal.

Visited in Nov 2025 Stopped by The Local Taphouse one afternoon during my recent trip to MEL. The place is owned by the same folks who operate the Stomping Ground which I had visited before. The Local Taphouse is a nice establishment with a very good collection of tap beers and some nice food dishes to go along with the drinks. I had made a reservation, but would have gotten a table immediately even if I didn’t have one, given I visited late in the afternoon. I tried the tasting paddle (comprising 5 beers which I could choose) first before deciding to order a couple of them I liked separately. My friends and I ended up trying more than half of the beers they had on tap 🙂 All in all, enjoyed my time here and would definitely recommend a visit here if you’re in the St. Kilda area.

What a lovely little gem on a cold wet night. Sunday roast with all the trimming. Yumm.. The bar staff where busy but still very efficient and very little wait for a delicious meal. The fish and chips was very expensive for what it was (and very heavy handed with the Dill). But the roast with the Yorkshire pudding was yum. Rotating roasts as per the website.. will definitely be back ..

We recently had our wedding reception at The Local Taphouse. We booked the bocce room for ~30 people. The food and drinks were excellent, and a lot of people commented on the taramasalata. The staff were lovely and great to deal with. Special shout-out to James, their function manager, who went above and beyond - including organising kids meals and setting up the flowers and cupcakes we had delivered the day before. They took the stress out of our wedding day. Would wholeheartedly recommend hosting your function here.

Had an awesome experience at 2 Brothers Brewery! Jess at the front of house was absolutely amazing, super friendly, welcoming, and really went out of her way to make sure we were looked after. The food was unreal, everything we ordered was top tier. We had the meat board, fish and chips, halloumi tacos, padron poppers, and beef croquettes, and honestly, every dish hit the mark. Chef Shaw clearly knows what he’s doing, you can tell a lot of care goes into the food. Great vibe, great service, and seriously good food (and beer, of course!). Can’t wait to come back!

We had my husband’s birthday at 2 Brother’s Brewery and we were very impressed! The food was absolutely delicious - those chips and curry sauce - YUM! The service was great friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a spot with chilled vibes, delicious food and drinks and wonderful service!

We recently held a work function at 2 Brothers Brewery, and I can confidently say it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely exceptional—friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. They made everyone feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The venue itself had a fantastic atmosphere—relaxed yet vibrant—and the range of craft beers was a definite crowd-pleaser. First time visiting and was genuinely impressed. Service very attentive. Food and beer well priced. I had the steak and stout pie- really yum and came with a serve or mash, gravy and chips! They also have a mid week happy hour so will definitely be back.

The food here is the best!! The chips with curry sauce are fire!!! The fish tacos are super flavourful and the meat board is delicious!!

I like the location and ambience but the range of beers is not what I love. Eg. Too many Lagers. But the two ales we had were lovely. So a good visit for those with a broad beer taste.

Visited in Sep 2024 Molly Rose is a really fantastic brewery with a really good food menu. Tried a few beers and my favourite was the Jungle Bird Hazy Pale Ale. Among the food items I’d definitely recommend ordering the watermelon tartare, the lamb skewers and the boneless chicken - every single dish was good. A must visit place overall if you’re in Melbourne.

Haven't been since the expansion and was blown away by the quality of everything. We weren't surprised by the amazing drinks, but it's great to have an expansive and impressive selection for non-beer drinking friends. The food was a real hit - delicious and we declared the spring rolls the best we've had. The only challenge in the beautiful restaurant was the temperature, which was pretty cold. It's been a cold winter in Melbourne and so we were prepared and just kept coats on. Our experience was so good and the ambience, service, food and drinks just so great, I haven't let the temp impact the rating - just recommend coming rugged up even for indoors.

Molly Rose Brewing in Collingwood was a highlight of the evening. We shared a calamari plate and sampled six carefully curated beers, each served with an explanation. The staff’s attention to detail added to the experience. Once again, we encountered a new beer not on Untappd, so I added it, and my dad checked it in first.

The brewery that didn’t feel like a brewery and blew me away with the amazing selection; cool bar vibe; and friendly, knowledgeable staff. If you’re visiting make sure you try the Guided Tasting - it gives a great insight into to their beers with each one delivered fresh to you along with friendly/knowledgeable staff patter and info on the beer. If it’s available I definitely recommend the Local Market Beer!

Me and my girlfriend had a lovely expericne at Molly rose brewery! The customer service was so amazing, we felt very welcomed. On top of that the food was exceptional! Thank-you to our waiter for the night, Tam, they were so friendly and attentive!! :) our favourite beer was the lager #3, very tasty!

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before as I have visited many times over the years and seen it grow. When we first started going, hubby and I would quite often be in there with maybe one other couple. No outside tables then and no food offerings. But the great beer has been a constant! Even though we no longer get free popcorn, we keep coming. One of our favourite breweries in Melbourne! April 2025 - now more than ever, Molly Rose needs your support in order to continue trading. They may be on reduced hours with a smaller food and beer offering, but they are still the amazing brewery they have always been. I urge you all to give them a visit!

Great place for a catch up. The Philly cheese steak tacos were delicious! We were also impressed that the food for 8 people came out at a similar time... seems to be rare these days. Thanks for having us ;)

Lively spot for a quick bite before a show. Beer Deluxe is a bustling pub in Federation Square. You order at the counter, take a number, and food comes to your table — efficient and fast. It’s a bit noisy inside with TVs playing games, but the outdoor seating is much calmer and doesn’t smell like kitchen grease, which was a plus. We grabbed hummus and a drink before heading to a show at The Edge auditorium next door — great location for a casual pre-event stop.

We went to a comedy show and had dinner afterwards. The Snitzel was so big that we shared it. The cocktails were delicious and we stayed and listened to the DJ outside til late. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Was a great time!

Popped in here for a quick lunch. The poke bowl-style dish wasn’t my favourite - the avocado was a bit off and the onion capsicum mix had a bitter flavour. But it arrived quickly and it was pleasant eating outside.

Fantastic range of beers including gluten free. Ordering from your table makes for quick service although you will wait a bit longer when it’s super busy, but that’s anywhere. Food is good, nice burgers and staff are friendly.

One of my fondest memories of Melbourne was the amazing beer menu and atmosphere of my favourite restaurant. We were so excited to come back to the famous Beer Deluxe only to find some peanut has changed the winning formula to it being just another bar. I’m guessing new owners - You failed. Never coming back.

This place was very cool. The chips had AMAZING seasoning and the atmosphere was very nice. Only downside was there was so many TV'S. This is a good place to go to watch sport with your mates, but not a great place for a catch up and quiet talk. Still would highly recommend coming here to watch the sport.

This place has potential but was very average. The staff were very disinterested and not approachable. The brisket burger I ordered was was warm-ish, not hot. The atmosphere felt more like a chain of restaurant instead of a proper brewery with a good kitchen and good atmosphere.

Hosted an event here and was blown away by the exceptional service from the point of booking, through to our experience on the night! The food was delicious and it was so much fun testing all of the amazing different flavours of beers, such a fun atmosphere on a Saturday night, and just an overall good vibe! 11/10 would highly reccomend!

Went with family during the week for something different. Very quiet. Lovely hazy on tap, eventually. Food was average however and way over priced for portion and quality. Suspect it might be ok on warm summer night.... but no scenery outside to look at. Much better options closer to beach at same or cheaper price. Won't be back anytime soon.

I went to Black Shepherd excited to try their special burger of the day. The promotional photo (photo 1) looked amazing, but what I actually received (photo 2) was completely different: a cold, poorly presented burger that had nothing to do with what was advertised. I asked to speak to the manager, but was told they weren’t available. No one offered any kind of solution. The staff were rude and didn’t seem to care at all. When I brought up the misleading photo, they said it was “AI generated and had nothing to do with my order.” There was no disclaimer anywhere saying it was a reference image, which to me is false advertising. I’ll never come back to this place and absolutely do not recommend it. Bad food, bad service, and a really disappointing experience. Don’t go.

We booked the Bad Shepherd venue for 70 people to for a private function. The communications from management and staff in the lead up to the event was outstanding, extremely professional and easy to engage with. On the day of the function the staff were awesome and couldn’t have been more accommodating and friendly. The food was perfect and it was a great atmosphere, we have never been let down by Bad Shepherd. I would highly recommend Bad Shepherd to anyone.

I really enjoyed it here before going to the ice hockey. The food is surprisingly good with huge portions. The atmosphere is not bad and the service is good and happy. You always seem to get a smile, which makes a difference and welcoming. The beer is nice as well 😊

Urban Alley Brewery in Docklands is a fantastic spot! 🍻 The cocktails and mocktails were great , fresh, creative, and delicious. I had some vouchers from playing Saboteur with my family nearby and loved the 2-for-1 drinks deal. The staff were friendly, the bar has a great vibe, and it’s the perfect place to relax with friends or family. Highly recommend!

Great location and fast service. We went as a group of 10+ after 6.30 pm. There is a $20 menu . Loved their beef burger. Portion size of chicken schnitzel is good.

Pretty average food to be honest. The burgers were edible but not enjoyable. The nicest part of the burger was the pickle. The patty was thick, dry and flavourless. I recommend ordering something besides the burgers here. Would try elsewhere next time. Plenty of indoor seating on a rainy day was a positive.

Walked in without a booking and found seats available. Had a decent time catching up with friends. We ordered the chips and chicken wings the wings were definitely the highlight, really tasty and worth trying. The only downside was the birds flying into the building, including near the kitchen area, which was a bit off putting.

Took us a long time to find as its on the ground floor of Harbour Town but once we arrived, we ended up having Wood fired Pizza, Fish and Chips, and a Burger amongst the family. Lunch is definitely more expensive than Dinner, food is more like pub grub to me however the ambience looks too upmarket for the quality of food. $20 Parmas are a good price for a Tuesday night but I might play it safe and just pay the same amount for them closer to home. Friendly enough service however they prefer that you pay by QR code where I'm confident but not 100% sure that the place is cashless. We paid through QR code anyways however the food came very quick which was quite good. Never expected the food to be fresh anyways since this place is nowhere near the ocean or farms. Prices aren't too bad but could be better. It's also good that we can get a discount if we purchase a 2nd pizza which they're about 11 inches small with six averagely sized slices. The wood fired pizzas had thin bases but thick and hollow crusts with more cheese than topping. Margherita Pizza may be better value Edit: I saw the reply from these guys and I can try explain in context that firstly the QR code thing is encouraged and I don't imagine an elderly person trying to use the QR code. Since the pub is so big, if an elderly person was guided to the counter to pay in cash, it'd take a fair amount of effort. Same with someone who has a long term injury if they have to walk down to pay without the use of a QR code. My second point to explain why lunches are generally dearer than Dinner is because many of the specials are not on during lunch time, otherwise pricing is much the same on the main menu. There should be a lunch special on at least some more of the days of the week instead of them just being a dinner thing.

Popular, centrally located 2 storey pub/bistro. Staff are friendly and helpful. My friends frequently love to come here for dinners BC of the variety on menu and indigenous ingredients in some of the meals. We stopped in for early dinner today and ate on the 2nd level and although there were only a few other groups there, I found it cold, and noisy as the sound from others seems to echo. Of the 3 meals ordered, 2 were good but 1 lot of chips were served cold and the hot choc was only luke warm. The staff did promptly remake the chips when requested.

I love this place! It’s home to the James Squire Brewhouse! If this is your first time visiting, go for their paddle. The friendly staff behind the bar will help you with the selection and always get their recommendations right. Ever since I’ve come here, I’ve been hooked with James Squire cider. No regrets! They have great chips (and a generous portion!) if you fancy munching on something while enjoying your drink. In one of our visits, we decided to go for their main course options, and we ordered the Chicken Parma ($31) + Fish & Chips ($29). Both came hot, and freshly made. Great portion, and excellent tase. This place is never a disappointment. Love it!

Food was good, VERY large serving of chicken parmi. The gravy bowl did not match said serving size in addition to the chips. The dish, whilst good for value, lacked flavour. We were on the bar side of the establishment, and the area smelt like old alcohol. We sat outside. We could not fault the iconic James Squire assortment of alcohol, but the bar-boy made it uncomfortable to order. Equivalent to a bistro at a sports club

Nice pub setting. Moved to the area this month for work and enjoyed the salt and pepper calamari. Was very fresh and portion for the price was great. The main meals that other colleagues had were huge and looked tasty also. Will be back to try other meals.

Today, I tried the kangaroo meat with the dish: Native-spiced kangaroo loin, Brussels sprouts, celeriac puree, rosella jam, and red wine jus. The kangaroo meat was delicious, lean without any fat. The rosella jam was sweet and tangy, very tasty. The celeriac puree was also delicious, sweet, crisp, and fresh. The price is only 38 Australian dollars."

We ordered via the App. at the table and the food took ages to arrive. No cutlery and serviettes were provided so we had to go hunting for them. The steak was $46 which was so over priced it was embarrassing. I could have gone to a proper steak house for close to the same price and also have an entree and glass of wine included for the same price. Overall the food was very average and super expensive. As for atmosphere, it was crowded and unappealing. Not a fan and certainly way over priced for what they offer.

Excellent selection of rare craft beer and whiskies. Bartender was also helpful and professional. And as the name suggests, they’ve got a good recco of boilermakers. I would go back for a treat cos it is quite pricey.

This is an awesome place for a catch up with friends. I wish we had more people to sit in a booth. So warm, homey and comfy. The sirloin steak was done perfectly as per my wish. I told the bartender I wanted it medium rare but more on the rare side. He couldn't find a good option on the screen, but the steak came out exactly how I liked it!! Absolutely great job he did there⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Went here on a whim and it was a fantastic choice. We were able to get a table without a reservation, the interior is very on theme and it was easy to have a conversation. They have a large variety of beers and whiskey, amongst other things, it’s on the pricier side but that’s to be expected. Tristan was our host and they were fantastic, the top quality service will make me come back here.

This place never fails to disappoint. The drinks list is wide and extensive, but I recommend going for one of the boilermakers; the one I had was the Trademark Turquoise and it was a fantastic pairing. The staff are helpful with suggestions. The food can be a bit of a hit n’ miss. The general vibe and atmosphere is warm and chilled.

Bartender was very kind and knowledgeable on wide array of whiskeys / beers. I came here solo last night and this place made me feel quite welcomed! I witnessed one of the bartenders speaking in sign language to customers and letting them sample some of the craft beers.. it was a lovely sight to see. Definitely recommend this place!

A must do for anyone visiting or living in Melbourne who can appreciate whisky and paired beer. An excellent place for conversations and a relaxed vibe. Plan to spend a couple hundred as a experience, it’s on the upper side compared to a standard bar, but the whisky is amazing and the offering is extremely comprehensive.

Nice place to check out a spiral easy when visiting Melbourne. The bartender made us a local Aussie whiskey fight which was great. We had a boiler maker, the beer was ok. I think I liked LArk in both flight as well as boiler maker. We had gnocchi and laphroig salted fries. They were fine. All in all good for first night in Australia. We had great experience.

Had an awesome night at Dainton Brewery! The service was 5/5, and the popcorn chicken was a definite highlight with a great crisp and delicious sauce. The burger was good but reminded me of a classic BBQ burger, so I’d give the overall experience a 4/5. Big shout out to Jessi and the Jetts for the fantastic entertainment!

It was truly an amazing experience! Being our first time, we felt so warmly welcomed by Ellen from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was wonderful, and every staff member we met was so helpful and genuinely friendly. A special thank you to Ellen for taking such great care of us. While we were celebrating my husband’s birthday, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel special too. We left with our hearts full of gratitude and our bellies happily full as well. Great food. The pepper mayo is Devine. We are coming back 😇

Disappointed! Came here expecting the delicious bbq we had last time. This time we were met with frozen food, and $4 for less than 12 pieces of pepperoni on our frozen pizza. Don’t get me wrong the beers are still good. But the foods definitely gone down hill.

Booked a group of 9 on a Saturday for dinner for a special occasion. When we arrived all you could smell was the dumpster. Once inside the brewery some of our guests could still smell the dumpster and it was very off-putting. We started ordering at the bar. 1/3 of the way into our table ordering we were informed that the kitchen’s out of pizza bases. Apparently they had a large group come through for lunch and they had run out. That’s about half of their current/new menu gone. Those who ordered pizza in our group had their order messed up. The pizza was ordered without olives and with vegan cheese. The pizza came out with olives and what was certainly NOT vegan cheese. It was the first thing ordered by our group and the LAST thing to arrive ages later once everyone else had finished their meals. We opted for burgers instead of pizza and the burgers were woeful. Greasy, flavourless, low quality beef burgers that came with bland soggy chips for $18. A band was playing live that night and were ridiculously loud. Could not hear the person next to you. Just added to a pretty miserable experience overall. Really disappointed that the food and the atmosphere were not as good as the drinks.

First time at the venue. We attending on a spooky Sunday Halloween event. Place is great! Pizzas were tasty & little people meals good sized servings. Huge range of drinks & tap beers. Really relaxed vibe, would recommend to give it a try. Shout out to Maryanne & the staff who are helpful & lots of fun.

We came here again recently and were so pleasantly surprised by how much better the pizza was this time! The pepperoni pizza was absolutely delicious — crispy crust, loads of flavour, and perfectly balanced with the cheese and spice. You can really tell the quality has stepped up. Cannot wait for our next date night!

Love this place. The beer list is awesome (around 20 beers on tap), and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Although they don't have a full food menu, you can order amazing pizza from the shop over the road, and they will bring it to your table.

We came here to catch up with some friends and only had drinks so were unable to comment on the food. The place has seating inside and outside. Downstairs of the bar is a bottle shop stocking craft beer and wines from a quick glance. The place is decked out in wood with a casual vibe and the bartenders have extensive knowledge of the numerous beers they have on tap.

If you are looking for place with a chilled atmosphere and a light bite and of course some beverages! Try out Mr West! Mountain Culture! There is about 24 beer on tap! Wow! Pick one :) Spacious and welcoming! Plenty of seats in or out and on two levels.

Great local brew house with a huge variety of drinks on tap, and not just for beer drinkers. I enjoyed a local cider while my partner sampled another beer. Was also great value getting a glass pour, which allowed the opportunity to sample without committing to a large pot. Cider was delicious, and partner enjoyed Beer Mash house larger. Awesome fitout and cool vibes.

At Beermash, one does not simply drink beer — one embarks upon a curated journey through hops, malt, and the very soul of fermentation. My takeaway pint, though modest in vessel, was a liquid epiphany: nuanced, layered, and possessed of a finish so elegant it might have worn cufflinks. Fitzroy continues to spoil the refined palate.

My fav place to grab a beer or two. They have new flavours always, I really loved their pickle beer. Lovely atmosphere always and the best part you can taste first. Worth your money. It’s the best. They don’t serve food but you can buy chips.

Hands down the best brisket burger I’ve ever had. Generous portion, outstanding texture and smoky flavour accompanied with crispy shoestring fries seasoned with smoked paprika. On top of that, one of the best sour beers I’ve ever had that paired perfectly with the burger, can’t remember the name, midnight something, complex flavours of balsamic vinegar and oak, almost like a mix between a Rioja reserva and beer. 🍻

Very limited beverage range and extremely noisy. The bar s nacks were quite good. Staff members were very friendly and told us the business is being rebuilt. It may be better in the future.

Made an online booking yesterday for a table for 2 at 6:30 PM and confirmation was provided by email. I turned up per the booking and the venue was closed. I called today for an explanation and was told they were short staffed and accordingly could not open. I understand these things happen but to not let me know and allow me to drive 25 minutes to find they were closed is very disappointing, they had my email and phone number and couldn’t be bothered letting me know.

Good food, good people, and of course good place to chill. Went east of everything for friend birthday party. Before 6pm, there's a tappy meals, meal with a brew. The crispy chicken is nice, crispy from the outside juicy from inside. Staff are friendly. Environment is good. Enjoy the weekend there.

What a perfect place if you're in the mood for unique beer, tasty cocktails, and a bite to eat. Went there towards the end of the evening and managed to snag myself some of the most amazing Nashville Hot Chicken Wings, careful though, when they say hot they mean it!! They were absolutely some of the best hot wings I've ever had, and that beautiful satisfying burn it gave was delightful. If you're game and have a chilli-tooth definitely give them a go!

My wife and I love breweries; she has a beer passport that has taken us to heaps of little breweries. This is easily one of the best little breweries we've been to. Their beer selection will blow you away. As IPA drinkers we were absolutely spoilt for choice with 8 on tap. So, we ordered two tasting paddles, 4 in each, to cover them all. Every single one of them was delicious, interesting, and thoroughly enjoyable. We normally have no issue selecting our favourite beer from a paddle or two but at Bridge Road Brewers in Brunswick we found this impossible because they were all so good. The staff are lovely and super helpful if you'd like help selecting beers. We enjoyed our beer with an absolutely delicious pizza. We suspect all their food is delicious but can't confirm. The venue is really lovely; it's enormous but separated into different areas that somehow make it still feel intimate and cosy. My wife loves how the classy white super clean toilets instantly made her feel sober, but, just between you and me, she was definitely still tipsy. Tanks in the background and clear view of the chefs in the kitchen are beautiful touches that really add to the ambience. Music was also great during our visit. Do yourself a favour and get down there.

Love this place! We booked in advance for our Sunday lunch and were quickly taken to our table. The staff member explained the ordering system (QR or order at the bar) and also asked if we liked our table, offering up others if we did not. Both discussions were a nice touch and were appreciated. We ordered easily via QR code and grabbed the Chilli Prawn Pizza, the Roast Duck Pizza plus the Baby Octopus Tacos to share. The food arrived quickly and was delicious, with the Duck pizza being the crowd favourite! This place has a great atmosphere and we were never rushed, which meant we ended out staying a lot longer than we had expected. The entire space has loads of different areas to dine at (outdoors, booths, stools at a bar area) so you can go with a group or solo as they have so many options. With friendly staff and delicious food combined with such a comfortable set up - we will definitely be back!

Great beer and got a plate of food, but for 3 small wings it was $18! Look, I get inflation and stuff isn't cheap but come on. $20 for 5, or even 4 of them, I would've been happy because they were delicious, but $18 for that tiny plate made it hard to enjoy. Chilli maple had 0 chilli too. Tasty but would only get beer here from now on

Checked the new bridge road brewery on its soft open night, so take my views on that. The new venue looks pretty good. FOOD: Tried some of the food, and the soft pretzel was great. It could use something to dip it in, though. The fries are excellent and a great bar snack. Tried a pizza it was good but a bit overcooked. That could just be the first night issues, though. DRINK: As someone who isn't a beer drinker, they have plenty of other options from wine and cocktails. I tried their version of an old fashioned it it was pretty good as well. Overall, it was a great bar that i am keen to try again once they sort some minor opening jitters.

Staff are friendly and the the guy behind the bar directed me to an excellent Porter. The Sunday 10% surcharge pushed my duck pizza to $35 which honestly wasn't fab.Base was good but smeared with tomato paste (yuck), (lovely tender duck) and then drizzled with a sweet undefined sauce on top. My friend's gnocchi special was good. Quiet night so little atmosphere & no music playing. Perhaps when still establishing yourself (open 18 months) asking how customers meals were, might provide feedback to improve the menu and experience.

Now my second happy place in the world. First time visit to Brunswick. All I can say is it's massively successful. Loved my time there. Highly recommend. Did I forget to mention the beer, silly boy. I drank the locally made beer, the 4 IPA's, locals identified by a yellow tag. All I can say is they are fab, as good as anything you get anywhere. I was very impressed with the Brewers skills but may have left a little too happy. We all enjoyed our lunches too, yummy.

Very lively atmosphere and delicious food, the vegetarian options were high quality and very filling. It is a roomy venue, good for both large and small groups. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and service was great. I would add that this is not the best choice of venue if you’re looking for a quiet place as it has high exposed ceilings which echo sound around the restaurant.

Staff were polite. Their beers are great and are brewed on-site. The food however is lacking alot. We had a variety of food which included Mac n cheese, spicy BBQ wings, brisket and Korean chicken burger. The Mac and cheese was flavourless, Kraft brand had more flavour. The wings were okay however if they are labelled spicy and the sauce is spicy then it needs to be spicy. The wings were juicy though which was good. The loaded fries weren't too bad however the brisket on both loaded fries and itself was tender but very dry. The Korean chicken burger was definitely the best. The chicken was super crispy and moist. The prices are okay and reflect the quality of the food. It's a great venue however the food was just not good enough. They also don't do take away coffees which I have never come across before. We will continue to buy the beers when in the area however we wouldn't eat here again.

We had a lovely time at Red Hill Brewery. We took our Japanese Spitz who met Harry, the resident dog who lives there. Harry's mum is also JS, but his dad is an Alaskan I believe. If you look carefully you can see him in one of the photos. He's just gorgeous. We enjoyed a refreshing drink and some delicious chips with smoked aioli dip. The services was great and the staff were really friendly.

Nice little boutique brewery, surprisingly delicious sweet potato chips! I did the tasting paddle, the rip pale ale & east coast pale ale were my standouts. Some excellent take away packs, I got the 9 pack mix cans for $45 (3 stouts, 3 pale ales & 3 IPA)

Small menu but this place plays to their strengths. The brisket burger was insane, and they did not hold back on the brisket. Sitting outside surrounded by beautiful trees and rustic furniture with the sun shining was the best part. Staff really friendly too!

If you’re after a refreshing beer and a great lunch Red Hill Brewery is the place to be on the peninsula. Have been here a few times now and the food and beer never disappoints. The American style bbq menu is well priced for the portions you receive and a good alternative to another place nearby that also sells American style bbq. The food is so tasty and quick service. The venue is not pretentious and has a great vibe and a big grass area is you have kids that want to run around while you enjoy you beer and food. Highly recommend this place!

Good food, lots of choices, chicken ribs, classic pub chips, or sweet potato chips amazing. Had the steak. Steak was very good, chicken ribs were amazing. Can’t get a little busy in the pig periods and the staff have trouble keeping up. Which means they tend to leave the clearing of the table until everybody leaves, not ideal but that’s okay. The new renovated dining area has heaps of seating heaps of natural light very welcoming.

Very underwhelming experience here today. Usual Monday specials not on apparently due to public holiday (though with 15% surcharge appropriately applied) no worries I guess that’s their prerogative. The food and service was the problem however. I ordered a margarita pizza. They had run out of basil apparently, which I was only told about when they dumped the now very average cheese pizza in front of me rudely and abruptly. No option to change dish, just given what they chose to give me for the $23 odd it ended up being. Not on. I’ve had better pizzas out of the freezer At Cole’s. The rudeness of the staff member was just incredible and was noted by all at our table. She was rude to our 3 year old later on too. The kids meal was average too, and overpriced. Overall the venue looks nice but the staff was rude and food underwhelming.

Had a lovely work lunch at the Terminus Hotel in Fitzroy North. Really yummy food, great portion sizes, and great staff. Well done guys. Great place to eat. Wonderful atmosphere and not too loud. Thank you for a great time

What an amazing pub. Great vibe and the beer is icy cold, just what ya need after a 25km walk to raise money and awareness of Men’s Suicide. Thanks to the amazing staff who made us all very welcome after our walk

Driven past the Terminus over 50,000 times but finallyyyy ventured in before a footy match. Was lucky to find street parking in the dark streets behind the venue. Beautiful fit out with options for both indoor and outdoor seating. There are TVs showing sports in most corners. Between three adults we ordered 2 parmas and 1 fish and chips. The parma was generously portioned but the batter was toooo thick for my liking. Chips were well fried and seasoned. We also ordered their beer special; Everyday Pale Ale for $10 a pint. Can’t go wrong with that 🍻 What they can go wrong with is charging $1.50 for tomato sauce when ordering mains via the QR code, even though there’s a sauce station near the kitchen. It’s not about the minuscule amount, it’s the principle for charging extra online when it’s offered complimentary. All in all, venue had an inviting ambience/lighting and service/staff were great so I would 100% go back.

Had a wonderful lunch at Cinder, celebrating an 80th birthday. The set menu was delicious, staff were friendly helpful and attentive. Atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommend.

I really like this bar. It’s simple, comfortable, and does exactly what you want it to do. The menu focuses on burgers and snacks, nothing too fancy but solid, tasty, and not too pricey. We had the burgers and chips, and they were great. Margaritas were good too, and there’s a happy hour, which is always a bonus. There’s also a bottle shop at the front with a pretty decent selection. While we were there, a party was happening in the back. Good music, good energy, it looked like a great spot for a private function. Overall, it's just got a really nice vibe. I’d definitely come back.

One of the best $25.00 steak nights in Melbourne plus $5.00 glass of wine, excellent Pinot Noir for that rate ... near perfection. Just have to brush up on their customer service skills ... spend $150.00 in their bottle shop and still have to pay $15.00 corkage/bottle. Bar staff wants to know whether I've paid corkage???

My partner and I had a drink here. It was pretty cool actually, you just scan in, and then you download the drinks menu at your outdoor table and its all table service. The range of craft tap beers is pretty special, as was my American Pale Ale. My partner had another beer which was good, but not as good as mine hahaha. Previous review - March 2019 I called in here w a few friends. I like a good craft beer selection and this place had one of the biggest menus that I’ve seen. I tried a pineapple beer which was almost a juice, both in consistently and density. Mmnn not my favourite. The chocolate brown stout was better, creamy with a good flavour. The third beer I tried was more of a pale ale and this was the winner. This place also sells beers and other drinks that you can drink on site, in the beer garden which I’m definitely doing next time. And the beer garden is great, except on a hot day in full sun lol Another great craft beer addiction to Thornbury! Cheers.

Been here a few times & it’s always such a happy & relaxed vibe. Really friendly staff - shout out to Patrick & Lee who are so welcoming & chatty. Drinks are really cheap compared to other places nearby & the beer garden is dog friendly. Came in the middle of Winter & was lovely & toasty inside. ​I had a fantastic first visit to The Catfish on Friday night to see the amazing Jordan Ravi's Acoustic Therapy gig. ​The main bar downstairs has a real cool, laid-back, and cruisy vibe. I was impressed with the selection of alcohol-free beers on offer. It's great to see a venue catering to everyone. The bar staff were also very friendly. ​The band room upstairs is an intimate and cosy space to watch live music. The sound quality was really good, too, making it the perfect setting for Jordan Ravi’s performance. ​I will definitely be visiting The Catfish again soon, as I really want to try their food, especially their Philly Cheesesteaks. I highly recommend this spot for a great night out, whether you're there for a drink or a show!

Great craft beer place with a solid fridge of cans and bottles including some rarer Belgian stuff and a set of 8 rotating taps with a mix of local aus and overseas beers (lots of German when I was there with the Oktoberfest theme). Food is great with Philly cheese steak sandwiches and really good buffalo wings. Self service dive bar kinda joint so feels a bit sparse to me, but the quality of the food and drinks is top notch.

Great selection of beer and non beer beverages. Knowledgeable service from staff, they actually know about their products. Vibe is very much like a dive bar. Best seat is at the bar next to Muddy the catfish who lives in a TV fish tank. Sparrows is good but starting to get on the pricey side. Tap beer rotation is quite good, you’ll always find a new beer here. Internet/phone network connection is horrible, like a black hole. If you need to do something on your phone sit outside (back outside is smoking only, no food) or near the window.

Dedicated to independent craft, beers, these guys invariably have a fascinating selection on tap, often from local breweries. There is a mix of tall wood benches and padded seats in two main areas with lovely exposed brick walls. Multiple screens show seasonal AFL/rugby games. The bathrooms are not a highlight. The chicken wings are cheap and tasty. (Yes, that is a beer I'm holding: Moon Dog's "My Blue Heaven" Raspberry Vanilla Milkshake IPA).

Simply one of the best beer bars I've been to in Melbourne. The staff are super friendly, the atmosphere is really chilled out and easy to relax in, and best of all, the beers are fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to anyone as a must-go.

Great craft beer house. They have rotating taps with them apparently only buying a single keg of any beer type. On the downside, if you find something that you like, it'll be hard to find again. But they have had a great selection of red beers recently and there is always something interesting and unique. Burgers are great.

Amazing selection of craft beers that changes every week. Staff always know what kind of beer they're selling, too. Food is astounding, probably the best fried wings I've found in Melbourne!

A lot of places claim to have good beer and just have the same old pale ales. The alehouse always has interesting and challenging beers (with a couple of safer options for the masses). The staff could not be friendlier. Just a great place to be.

Gavin, Stef and the team at Craft and Co. went above and beyond in delivering my husband and I the wedding of our dreams. From early in the piece, Gavin was beyond accommodating in helping bring our wedding to life, helping us find creative solutions to make sure we had the wedding we wanted. For example, we wanted to have an all-vegan wedding, and the team provided multiple options for us to choose from. Two months on and my husband still talks about the food. Gavin's easy going attitude made us feel relaxed and confident as they big day neared (and the stress levels raised). The space itself is beautiful and the location is hard to beat. A special shout out to James, who was attentive to us all night, making sure we had everything we needed. All of our guests praised the professionalism of the staff on the night.

Oh my goodness where to start. We held our wedding reception at Craft & Co in August and we were absolutely blown away by the organisation, service, food, drinks and general vibes! MASSIVE thank you to Gavin and Steph for making it all so easy and amazing for us on our special day. Can’t believe i hadn’t come here earlier - really loved everything about Craft & Co! We were feeling a G&T to go with a beautiful Sunday in Fitzroy, so ducked in here and found a table with plenty of sunlight & atmosphere. We ordered the London dry with the Gin tasting paddle. The London dry was crisp & smooth, and had nice hints of mint & lemon. The paddle was fun to do, and each gin had its own flavour & feel. I liked the Collingwood dry the most, but overall the whole thing was good value! The low key highlight of our time though, was the beautiful focaccia bread that was so good that ordered 3 rounds of it 😅 we also ordered the smoked cashew & pumpkin dip that goes with the focaccia bread, and that was unreal - really good value too. Can’t wait to come back here & bring some mates!

I simply cannot fault the venue, nor the service at The Craft & Co for both our wedding ceremony and reception! Gavin (Events Manager) was always available to answer any queries that we had, and was so helpful in the lead up and on the day. The big day went perfectly, the venue was perfect, the food plentiful and delicious, alcohol service was efficient and the staff were all so helpful. Some friends and I came to taste of the home brewed craft beer, and we left very happy. The imperial stout was my favourite; with a slight coffee note and enough flavour to grow hairs on your chest! We tried some of the delicious home made cheese as well. The home made gin and vodka will have to wait until next time. There is also a function room for hire upstairs, with a separate bar. Excellent service and beers means I'll be back 😁👍🍻

We had our wedding held at the Craft and Co. In the lead up the team were professional, punctual and flexible in accommodating our budget and requirements as we were looking to have a relaxed wedding that removed a lot of 'traditions'. They were accommodating of our external vendors and everything ran EXTREMELY smoothly on the day. We've had so many comments from our guests on the quality and quantity of food, as well as the vast drink options available under the drinks package 'I want to try them all!!' and the professional service from all staff. Would 100% recommend to anyone organising a wedding if you want a one-stop shop to ease the pressure of planning your big day, the Craft and Co is THE place to go.

The beer was still good since our last visit in 2021. However, after checking the website to see if they served food (which they now have a small selection) we decided to phone ahead to make sure it was still okay to order from outside before making the online booking. We ordered our food and were approached and spoken to very rudely even after we said we phoned ahead to check. Safe to say this is unfortunately our last trip to 3ravens.

Have been coming here for at least 5 years and I never let a week go by without coming through. Great place, cheap beers and a cracking atmosphere. Connor the bartender will look after you and explain the ins and outs of the house brews. Bravo!

The bass sessions are amazing. But I feel that I can sympathise with the people about some of the staff. 2 weeks ago had one staff member interject into a conversation they were not part of to tell me off for not saying please when trying to communicate a beer order over 8 people around me in a line and with music going loud. Was the weirdest thing ever... Then the large beers... be warned... you are paying for a plastic cup, and for 425ml of beer - it's a schooner not a pint :(

A great place, very chilled and very retro decor. Pop in and try a beer on a dog walk! They had a pie and pot on special. The pies were very good! The service was fantastic! Very friendly and very knowledgeable! The beer was excellent and reasonable price! Highly recommend for a visit!

quality little brewery, can't understand why it was so quiet, it is less than 500m away from moon dog world and far superior. staff were so friendly and accommodating, the range and quality of the beers were amazing. pina colada, salted caramel milkshake ipa and the juicy are so recommended. artwork on way to toilet is funky, highly recommended.

Awesome beers! There's something for everyone on the menu, a very small cozy venue. Has food trucks on occasions and also has a small good menu of their own which consists of mostly toasties. Table tennis and pool tables are a good addition. But the serious highlight is the beers! Ya gotta go

Large, modern brewery in the Melbourne Park precinct. Handy if attending an event. Good beer, didn't eat here but food looked good. No cash taken but no credit card surcharge.

After a great round of golf at the St Andrews courses, we discovered this brewery just a 5-minute drive away. It’s a true brewery house offering incredibly fresh draft and craft beers. A perfect spot to unwind—ideal for sampling a few different brews while enjoying some tasty bites. The fried chicken wings were a solid choice, but the fried cheese sticks really stood out as the perfect pairing with the beer. A great place to relax—I thoroughly enjoyed the small bites and refreshing drinks!

Just dropped in for a quick red wine & ginger beer & a possible dinner. Red wine was brilliant but the alcoholic ginger beer was the worst I’ve ever had, and I’ve sampled them all over Australia. Brought it to the attention of Bar staff & was lectured that everyone in Australia has got it wrong & that the St Andrew’s brewery version is correct as it’s more like a beer with ginger flavour. Problem is it didn’t taste anything like beer nor did it taste anything like ginger. Apart from a slight ginger smell it tastes more like dishwater than a beverage. No exchange or refund offered on a $15 purchase just lip service & a complete nonsense of an excuse. Poor customer service particularly to a local. Tip to the owners, retrain your staff to be more sympathetic to customers & taste your brew.

Great place for pre-concert dining. Plates are really generous and the wood fired oven does a great job on the pizzas and flat bread. Delicious. Gambino pizza was a hit, really tasty; and flat bread with eggplant dip really good. Golden ale was also a really good ice cold beer, so I had two. Also had a beef burger, but the highlights are in the photos. Location off Garden Square between Rod Laver Arena and John Cain arena. Well sign-posted. You have to book. Recommended.

Enjoyed lunch here on the way to Sorrento. Staff are friendly and efficient, and the meals fresh and innovative. We shared a few small plates- loved the lamb ribs, lobster rolls and croquettes especially. Although fire was on, it was quite chilly indoors.

Lovely Monday lunch with friends at Cookie. The table has been booked well in advance. Service was good, lunch all foods very nice so it was atmosphere. Drink menue is large. Something to choose for everyone. We shall be back.

Cookie really is a Melbourne institution. It’s been around for as long as I can remember, and after years since my last visit, I decided to go back and refresh my memory. The interiors are eclectic and chaotic in the best way possible — walls plastered with posters and art, a bar with a brick base and marble top, and quirky objects (mainly books) scattered everywhere. It’s definitely a space with personality. The menu, though, can be a little overwhelming at first — both food and drinks are extensive. As a Bloody Mary fan, my choice was easy, but I’d recommend checking the menu online before you go so you’re not rushed. Luckily, we had a group of six and a helpful waitress to guide us, which made ordering much easier. Some standouts for us were the Thai herb cured Kingfish, Garlic chive dumplings, Massaman beef curry, and Chinese broccoli with crispy pork. Every dish we tried was full of flavour, but those were the real highlights. As the cuisine is Thai, expect a fair bit of spice across the menu. We were seated in a cozy corner at the back, which felt private and perfect for conversation without the usual city noise. The menu is designed for sharing, and we had plenty of food to fill us all. With two drinks each and a generous spread, we spent under $100 per person — fantastic value for the quality and variety. Cookie is vibrant, fun, and full of character — an absolute classic Melbourne dining experience.

I'd forgotten just how great the food is at Cookie. Every dish delicious in a somewhat noisy atmosphere but with attentive and friendly service. The environment is special and unique. And don't skip desert!

Came down here on a Friday night, the place was buzzing at 6pm. We ordered a variety of dumpling dishes, both vegetarian and meat versions. For the main dishes we ordered the flat noodles, red curry, beef ribs and turmeric Maryland. All the dishes were well flavoured and definitely carries the nostalgic flavour notes of their Asian (mostly Thai) origins. The fusion is clear and the flavour is well adapted to the new age Australian palette. Worthy of having a work function and a gathering. There’s so much variety to choose from you won’t be disappointed.

The food is delicious, no doubt…some really exotic dishes which their staff are happy to recommend. What I found even more exemplary, was their customer service…special shout to the wonderful girl, Khandi, who served us ever so patiently, and recommended dishes that perfectly matched our taste buds and palettes. We had a great experience overall. Will definitely go back there for more of their good food and customer service. ❤️

Food and ambience is nice, table reservations is online, really made the booking easy... Banana leaf barramundi with rice and chili oil melts in mouth, this combination in total is > $45 but worth it.. I feel light even after having heavy meal...

Quintessential Melbourne What an absolute treat, food was excellent with a wide selection to chose from, came out quicker than expected. We had a few small size dishes all fragrant, fresh and delicious. My gosh, the venue is gorgeous with its step down memory lane and if you ask they're happy to tell you the history... This is by far one of the best places I've had the pleasure to experience in my time living in Melbourne the service is with care and affection, blown away by the service .. thank you so much ❤️

Gluten free heaven! To be able to go to a brewery and have beer and pizza is an experience a coeliac never really gets to have….until now. Got the beer tasting paddle because there were simply too many to try and loved some of them so much we took takeaways home. Pizza was soo good. My non gf husband loved it all too. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly good beer given its gluten free. The Cali IPA was very good and the No Doubt Stout was a good stout. Saison had significant wheat beer undertones so for me 🤮. The Irish Red Ale was also nice. We had the chorizo pizza and I’m assuming it was a gluten free base which overall it tasted good but a proper pizza base is better. The arancini was delicious. So this place is a must if you can’t cope with gluten and want good beer and pizza.

Took my husband for his birthday and he couldn’t wipe the smile off his face. He was finally able to enjoy both beer and food without the fear of cross contamination! Pizza and beers were fantastic. Customer service was amazing too! We will definitely be back.

Where to begin?! It is no exaggeration when I say this place is a paradise! Travelled 3 hours to get here, and wow was it more than worth it! Utterly incredible! I will dream about this place! It is absolutely incredible what they’ve done, to create a safe environment where people can enjoy delicious beer again, and stouts! Stouts! Wow! Guinness need to watch and learn! The pizza was absolutely amazing- really fresh and cooked to perfection. The bartenders were all super friendly and pleasant creating such a relaxing atmosphere. The vibe of the place was incredible! I kinda wish I was stayed in Aus, just so I could return! Please expand worldwide - TWØBAYS would be a roaring success in the UK! Utterly incredible- I truly hope this business goes far, and as you can see this brewery has brought a lot of happiness, not just to myself but a mass amount of people! I cannot recommend enough!

The beers are amazing!! Doesn’t taste inferior being gluten free. They’re so delicious like any other beers. The beer paddles were great and we bought a few packs of our favourites. Gluten free pizzas were fine, nothing extra amazing but good to have with the beers. Some seats inside but best to book for big group to make sure you get seats. Very roomy space so can fit prams, wheelchair etc. Bar and seating area with industrial roller door that were fully open so it’s not toasty warm in winter but they have one big heater off the ceiling which makes it comfy as long as you’re dress warm!

I've always had a great experience at Jetty road brewery, which is why I am giving 5 starts. Always friendly staff and amazing food. Unfortunately over the weekend, we noticed the portion sizes of our regular meals we usually have to be much smaller than usual which was disappointing. We went for fathers day and we all ordered the Sunday roast, it was barely enough food to be full. Not even half a potato and one piece of pumpkin! The meat was very tender but just was very small. It was a shame

Went here with my partner and we both had an amazing experience. Our burgers were absolutely delicious and the wings perfect. Dessert was absolutely fantastic (sticky toffee pudding) and the general vibe was great, all the staff were friendly and the manager engaged in a conversation with us more than once which we were fond of! I’ve been coming most Wednesday’s for the trivia which is run by the nicest people, the people working at jetty road are also so nice and accommodating and make you feel at home, the menu is a bit pricey and i wish there were more cheap options like a smaller size of chips because they are delicious and they load the plate, also would like a larger amount of sauce with the chips, other than that all the food i’ve had has been amazing. Have and would recommend.

The team were so lovely and helpful in making our wedding recovery lunch a hit. Everyone had a great time, the energy was amazing and they even took care to ensure our precious fur baby had water and treats. Thank you so much Ali and team!!

Came in to celebrate my children's birthday on Thursday for Steak Night. Great value, delicious medium rare steaks cooked to perfection! Service was excellent, we will definitely be back! Thanks

Photos don't do it justice but the burgers were great, the parma was bloody massive and worth every dollar. Great in-house brew selection too. Staff were also super friendly! We came across this by accident and are glad we did, would definitely come back!

Dining here was a very memorable experience. Both servers (Brandon and Casey) were fantastic, polite, engaging, and friendly. The food, oh the food, both my partner and I had the chicken parma’s (Hawaiian and Mexican), and the chicken was crumbed well with a mouth watering chicken fillet. The Mexican was delicious with its sour cream and guacamole, and side serving of jalapeños to add for your level of spice. We will definitely want to comeback again.

A hidden gem of Footscray and my favorite place to hang out every time I visit the suburb. This is the epitome of what a hospitality business should be. The setting is welcoming, nothing pretentious. The servers are great, attentive and always carrying a nice conversation. The "famous" chicken parma is famous for a reason. Tender and large in portion, standing on par with any gourmet Italian restaurant out there. The steak is actually quite good for its value. The burger, however, is dry (my fault, as I forgot to ask them to cook my burger medium rare) and very aggressively salted. I like salty food but for the burger, it drowns the natural umami favor of the patty. I haven't tried the cocktails yet but the pale ale and cider pair really well with the food. Highly recommended place for an after work chill out with your mates.

Jan 2019: Nothing to fault. Parma and pork ribs were awesome. Pale ale and cider were very nice. Service was top notch! May 2022: Still damn good! Consistency is key to running a great business that food lovers love. Excellent beers, cocktails and great service are a plus! Thanks so much to Mitch and team, love coming back here time and time again. June 2025: They've added new parma toppings.

I visited Singa Pura King of Hawkers and tried the carrot cake, Hokkien noodles, chicken rice, and the ABC special. The vibe of the place was nice, with a casual and authentic feel, but the service was unfortunately subpar — inattentive and a bit cold. The carrot cake was yummy and definitely a highlight. The chicken rice was alright, nothing exceptional but satisfying. The Hokkien noodles were enjoyable too. The ABC special, however, tasted a bit unusual and wasn’t quite what I expected. Overall, a solid experience with tasty food, but there’s room for improvement in both service and consistency. 4/5

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall: a quiet and cozy restaurant offering a variety of Singaporean food. 🫓 Roti with Curry Sauce (3.8/5) - the roti and sauce are both decent. Not the best roti, but still flaky and delicious 🍜 Mee Pok (3.5/5) - never had this dish before, and was really keen to try it. We felt that the sauce was too acidic for our tastes, the texture of the fish balls weren’t great, and the sambal could be more flavourful 🍜 Prawn Hokkien Mee (4/5) - the sauce/soup was light but rich at the same time, nice and comforting flavours. Do not order if you do not like the flavour of shrimp paste 🍚 Nasi Goreng (4.5/5) - got a great depth of flavour, easily our favourite dish of the night 🍞 Singa Pura Sauce with Kaya (4.2/5) - simple yet delicious dessert. Buttery and coconutty, definitely a dessert for sharing Came here on a Saturday night, the restaurant wasn’t overly busy. The place wasn’t loud, so you could enjoy the food and talking with your group. While Richmond has great Pho, if you’re looking for something a little different, this place is worth a visit.

Hands down my favourite visit everytime I am in Melbourne! We tried the Mee Pok this time and the Rendang Beef with rice, incredible experience! Both flavourful and hit the craving perfectly. Thank you! Classy and easily make you feel right at home- the soya bean with grass jelly and lemon tea ✨

Unfortunately they fell way below our expectations. Their signature mud crab with egg noodles was so overpriced ($139 regular mud crab + $8 egg noodles) which there wasn’t much meat in the crab, and didn’t taste fresh. $8 extra for the egg noodles also doesn’t sound right for the amount we got. The chilli crab is all about the flavourful sauce and the juicy crab meat. This was nothing close to what I had in Singapore. You can also get such good quality seafood with a much bigger portion at other restaurants for the same price… The nasi goreng, which it said choose 2 toppings on the menu, so we chose veggies and beef without realising that beef is actually extra $2 but there was barely any meat! The beef was so thin and dry and you really had to dig to find beef.. They did cook it well though and seasoning was nice but that’s about it. Drinks were good and service was fine but for the amount we paid and the quality we got was not matched. Very disappointing

Great authentic food that brings me back to Singapore. Whenever I crave for hokkien mee, this is where I go to. The sambal is fragrant and has a nice kick it to it. Uncle at the counter is nice and friendly too.

Chicken laska was delicious when I dined in, and the Hainanese chicken rice is my favourite dish to order in. A must visit :)

Overall quite good. Hainan chicken is so so. A little bit over cooked. and skin should be like jelly texture. Singaporean rice noodles is quite good. Chicken wings are quite average, needs a bit more spices.

Nice space to have a beer at the end of the day. Multiple beers on tap. The staff was nice and the price seemed fair.

Not the one to ever to leave negative reviews unless absolutely necessary but felt compelled too after this night. Popped past around 12:30ish on a Saturday night to have a quick drink with a few friends, noticed there was still a few people inside drinking, dancing & music still going. One of my friends went inside first to double check if they were still open & serving and the bartender at the time said yes, so we all came in and went straight to the bar. The other bartender behind the bar came up to me to ask what we wanted and almost immediately after him speaking noticed he was incredibly drunk off his head however, still managed to pour us our pints. Whilst waiting, I believe another staff member came up to us and asked what we were doing and then followed with that they were actually closed so I respectfully told him that we had in-fact asked before all coming in and then was also served by the other bartender by the bar - so to us, that seemed like you were still serving..? After doing so he walked away and then immediately before the bartender handed us our beers, took them out of his hands and walked off. This whole situation was incredibly confusing but also frustrating by the lack of respect to us since we felt we did everything right from the beginning given the communication we were told. Anyways, looks like a sick bar however wouldn’t recommend it after this rude interaction.

The food was nothing truly memorable, nor worth going back for. It was tasty, but too small a portion and too large a price for what it was worth. Won't go back again. I've had far better food of this kind at a fraction of the price. 1 empanada for $13. Never again.

Don’t recommend it the place for super large gatherings but I can see this place being a spectacular local area for smaller groups. The food is great, particularly the Snapper Ceviche which was the star of the show. Great daily deals too.

Oh man, True South in Black Rock, it’s number one, I love it so much! This place so beautiful, like old garage but now super fancy with big windows looking at Port Phillip Bay. We sit on balcony, watch sunset, so pretty like dream, make my heart happy! Food is so yummy, Argentinean style, taste just perfect. We try tuna ceviche, so fresh, flavor explode in mouth. Tapas for sharing, oh my, calamari and chorizo super delicious, I eat non-stop! They got kids’ menu too, my little one so happy, no fuss. Drinks also awesome, craft beer cold and nice, cocktails make me smile. Monday to Thursday got Happy Hour, good price, save money, love it! Staff so nice, like family, always smiling, help us pick best dishes, talk soft and clear. Service fast but chill, make us feel special. Place super clean, vibe relaxed but fun, perfect for family or friends. I hear they do weddings, parties too—Bay View Room look so cool for big day. True South is best spot in Black Rock, I come back quick, for real!

Thought we’d try this place again given I live 500m away - we were seated & then left twiddling our thumbs for 20MIN, no offer for a drink order & this is not the 1st time or the 2nd. Floor staff tend to serve the tables of their own age. The girl at the front didn’t even ask why we were leaving. We supported this place all through Covid & the service just never picked up. Only good for footy & a beer

We recently had the pleasure of hosting our baby shower upstairs at True South, and it was a wonderful experience. Caitlin and the team were really responsive, incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout the planning and the day. The space was beautiful, with stunning views of the beach that created the perfect atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious — we received so many compliments from our guests! Thank you to the team for making our special day so memorable.

I recently had my 50th Birthday party in the Bayview Room upstairs at True South. The experience from enquiry, through to packing up at the end of the night was seamless. Caitlin (event planner) was prompt with her responses to my questions and also met up with us for an hour to run through the schedule on the night and menu options. With about 65 guests, we chose the just the right amount of food and alcohol, thanks to Catlin's guidance. The food was (as usual) delicious, with options for vegetarians, vegans and meat lovers. The alcohol was also good quality. The room was already partially decorated with lovely lighting and enabled us to set up a live music duo and some AV for speeches. The staff were there to help us set up and also assisted in packing up the car at the end of the night (unexpected!). We had 4-5 dedicated staff members to ensure our even ran smoothly. They were fun and friendly and seemed to enjoy the night as much as we did. Thank you True South for helping make my 50th truly special :) Ally and Tommy

We had a combined birthday celebration a couple of days ago for my wife and I in the private room downstairs with forty guests. The staff were excellent and food and service also very good, Many guests commented how much they enjoyed the venue, atmosphere & food. A great success and I would highly recommend True South.
