With 2 beautiful sculpture gardens that have been created that are stunningly peaceful and a place to sit and just take in their beauty! Outside too is the famous Aluminaire House..well worth a view! The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and make for a pleasant and comfortable visit.

Beautifully curated collection, with some very unique pieces. The sculpture garden is small but very well designed with beautiful sculptures of different media (blown glass, aluminum, metal). It was a perfect way to enjoy a couple of hours before hotel check-in.

I ended up here since they have free admission on Thursdays 5-8pm. They had a live DJ and a bunch of wonderful exhibits to check out. Definitely worth checking out if you have some spare time.

I found out about the Palm springs art museum through TikTok and i seen on Thursdays they do free entrance i believe after 5pm so we took advantage of that and made the drive to take my daughter and son, it was such a cool experience my daughter loved it so much. after leaving the museum we noticed they had a night market on the main street so we checked that out as well and man were there many different food vendors it was hard to choose what you wanted to try, I think Thursdays in Palm Springs has to be the new thing we do at least once or twice a month 😊

I went here last October and absolutely loved my visit. The people working were fantastic and were happy to answer all of my questions and chat. It’s small and I thought it wouldn’t take long to get through, but I think I ended up spending 3 or so hours. It’s a great place for plant lovers and they have so many interesting plants. They also have great plants for sale. I bought five plants and four months later they are all thriving. The people running the garden are so knowledgeable and passionate. I can’t wait to go back and I highly recommend spending at least a few hours here!

A nice cacti garden to walk around in. The staff was very friendly, and offered guided or self guided tours. Was fun to walk around and see the various cacti, other vegetation, birds, tortoises, lizards, and a hummingbird nest. Was a fun relaxing area to meander through.

Wow! What a beautiful gem in the desert. Every year, for our wedding anniversary, we go to a different botanical garden from around this country. They have all been amazing, but this one is the best one yet. We met Clark Moorten, the owner and curator of the estate, and he was the kindest, sweetest, most knowledgeable man we have ever encountered. We never really imagined visiting a desert themed garden, full of so many varieties of cacti & succulents, as well as, birds and tortoises. Despite the high heat of summer (110 degrees F), it was still such an eye opening experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND, if you enjoy botanical gardens.

My group went to the botanical garden for our friend’s birthday and we had a spectacular time! Barry the tour guide was informative, kept us inquisitive, and he had a fun sense of humor. 10/10 would recommend visiting the garden and asking if Barry is available.

If you love succulents and cacti like I do, you have to visit Moorten Botanical Garden in Palm Springs. I stopped by this past January and it quickly became one of my favorite spots of the whole trip. It’s a small, family-owned garden tucked right in the middle of the desert—and it’s packed with hundreds of stunning cactus varieties, rare succulents, and desert plants from all over the world. Every turn felt like a tiny alien landscape. 🌵🪴 The best part? The Cactarium—a vintage-style greenhouse filled with the most Instagram-worthy spiky plants you’ve ever seen. It was hot, wild-looking, and completely magical. They also have a little nursery where you can buy plants to take home. I couldn’t resist—I bought a couple and had them shipped back to my house because TSA doesn’t love spiky souvenirs 😅 It’s peaceful, weirdly romantic, and a total vibe if you love desert beauty. You don’t need a whole day—just an hour and an appreciation for plants with personality. Don’t skip this gem next time you’re in Palm Springs.

$15 per adult. Short hike, but it does come with some challenges. Restroom facilities are available at the visitor center, and you can fill your water bottle there, as well. In order to hike into the canyon, you must also show that you have a certain amount of water, which can change depending on the weather, temperature, etc. The waterfall is flowing really well right now (late February 2025). Popular hike and the parking lot fills quickly. Enjoy!

If you are visiting and exploring the area this is a great place. Easy for all ages and still very enjoyable with views. The staff was super friendly and pleasant. Nice easy hike for us vacationers!

This is a really great hiking trail close to downtown Palm Springs. It’s a well developed and well maintained trail, but a little rocky and rough in places. It takes about 40 minutes to an hour to walk back to the falls. In the dry months (Winter months) there is very little water coming over the falls. Also, in the Summer months the heat can be stifling as the dark rock formations in the canyon absorb the heat. I would not recommend this hike on a really hot day, especially if you are not in great shape. Absolutely no dogs are allowed on the trail, and they require that you have at least 32 ounces of water with you. If you can join one of the free Ranger guided tours, I would recommend that. The tribal guides are a wealth of information. The views of the valley and the rugged scenery are beautiful, too! We were lucky and saw a few bighorn sheep on our hike, but I understand that they are a pretty rare sight. Definitely add this trail to your list.

If you like nature, waterfalls, and desert scapes, this is for you! The trail is not hard, but there are 90 or so steps to walk up on the way to the falls. The views along the way are spectacular 🙌 There is a $15 entry fee, which is well worth it.

Well recently I’ve lost some weight so I decided a two mile hike is something I should be able to handle. Pulled out my hiking boots, pulled out my water backpack and off we were. Wasn’t too bad,?had my heart a pumpin, but it was very doable. A nice refreshing swimming pool with some shade the help me cool down at the end of the waterfall. A bunch of people swimming, enjoying the cool refreshing water. The return trip to the parking lot was easy and mostly downhill. The parking was easy and big enough so we didn’t have to wait, they require everyone to take 32oz of water with them, and they do sell water if needed. They charge $15 each person, but it’s a fair investment. Restrooms in the office is helpful after a hike. Give it a shot, it’s worth it for an easy hike.

Quite nice and not too difficult. They have "free" parking but the trail costs $15 per person. Considering the trail is only about 1.5km's it's a bit expensive but we still really enjoyed our time here. You do get some nice views and the canyons geology was impressive.

One of our best kept secrets is Backstreet Art District.The first Wednesday of each month there is a art walk here so we locals and visitors have a chance to talk to the artists. Most of artists have their studios in the back and in the front are their galleries that provide an outstanding place to display their work. Some of the artists are internationally known, so definitely worth a stop.

This was a nice little find. Several private art studios with showrooms. The artist work in the back and display their art in the front. I met Annette and Lowell and Ray. The artist were very friendly and love talking to me. It's nice to know the person behind the art. There's a variety of styles here. I'm not a chatty person and yet I ended up spending about two and a half hours here looking in the shops and talking with the artist. A very pleasant time. I recommend it.

Artize at Backstreet Art District: Got a lovely piece of art from the Art-O-Mat. The curator (hopefully this is the right term) was very nice and knowledgeable. She made us feel right at home and gave a little art education.

This is a fantastic gathering of fun and eclectic art and I highly recommend stopped again it's mostly young artists making their way and not only can you get incredible values but the artist is almost always in his or her own shop there are about 16 beautiful individual galleries and I recommend it highly

There were a lot of vendors and a nice amount of food options. If you’re lucky enough to be there on a first. Thursday, don’t miss a walk there. Many free parking options which is rare for fests.

Well, that was nice, but sad. I guess I just expected more. It’s Palm Springs after all. Maybe I’m just jaded. It’s a pretty short walk. But it was nice to see that Larry Storage finally was recognized.

Here is the Walk of Fame Hollywood doesn't want you to know about. Many stars line the sidewalks, up and down the street centered at this intersection. Many people are honored. Not the big A-list people who pay to have their star placed in Hollywood, but real, heartfelt performers and behind the scenes personnel who make this industry happen. A must for anyone interested in the industry.

Always a good place to come visit while in Palm Springs. Lucille Ball statue nearby and Marilyn Munroe statue a few blocks to the west. The stars themselves are mostly unknown to even a baby boomer.

This was an interesting time during our trip to Palm Springs. The weather was beautiful. We were there early, and it was not crowded at all. I recommend you walk around here if you get the chance. Plenty of shops and eating/drinking establishments to spend some time in. Also a casino is nearby.

This museum was a truly enriching experience. Each exhibit was thoughtfully curated, offering both historical context and emotional depth. I appreciated the balance between interactive displays and traditional artifacts. It’s the kind of place that leaves you thinking long after you leave.

This is a nice stroll through downtown Palm Springs. I recommend taking this walk to enjoy the downtown area.

It's been so long since I have been back home. How refreshing to know that Villagefest is still going on. It's grown so much. What an amazing evening and awesome weather. If you come in for a visit make sure you visit Villagefest. I would highly recommend.

This place is a RIP off... they charged my kids the same price for 2 different tattoos.. one kid had 2 small turtles and the other had both hands done... they were both bad , quickly done didnt look anything like the pic they showed. wouldn't re-do or give the money back... live the street fair but I will never go back to the henna place and do not recommend anyone to go there unless they have the gentleman do the work.

We absolutely love visiting the Palm Springs area this time of year. The Thursday night Villagefest it's always a great way to spend the evening. great food, great shopping. Something for everyone

Awesome street fair in Palm Springs! Every Thursday locals gather to showcase their businesses. Food, art, music, and much more as you walk down the street. Vendors are offering free samples and the food is impressive. We purchased mini donuts which were heavenly. We also got clam chowder that was prefect for the chilly evening! Going back next week to try more foods!

Not the office, Villagefest itself. No longer glamorous, Palm Springs is no longer interesting, mostly just hucksters trying to pawn off clip art as originals for $500-$9000 and other junk sellers. A few bright lights among the (some awful) live musicians: the wonderful sounding Native man playing wood flutes, etc. Buy a CD. How do you find downtown Palm Springs? It's where the Walgreens and Motel 6's get closer together. But seriously, if you're not over 80 you probably don't want to be here (and probably if you're 80+ as well).

A must see, must experience in the area! Great way to spend your night. Best burgers in town are in a tent in town! Run! Don't walk. Fun night!

What a Vibe!! Someone suggested us this place for brunch in Palm Springs. The interior is lovely with beautiful details. We had pets with our group so we couldn't sit indoors, however the patio too was perfect to spend a nice time having lunch with live music at the pool and total vacation vibes. We had a trio mezze platter, Fried cauliflower in appetizers. We loved both. Pasta in the main course was okay. It was the only vegetarian option available in main course. I hope they add more vegetarian options. Service was quick.

I've driven by this place repeatedly without ever knowing it was a restaurant! Turns out, I've been missing a hidden gem, literally for decades. I had an early dinner at 4 pm and everything that my companion and I got was very good. Chicken wings appetizer, fish tacos, steak and fries, mac and cheese side, all excellent. Spoke with three different staff members and they were all super friendly, too. It's a little on the pricey side, but these days everything is, right? However, be sure to ask about what discounts are available to you, because they have several very generous ones.

I can't brag enough how fantastic of a server Daniel was the day my friends and I visited in August. He's what one would call top tier server. He was friendly, welcoming, informative, and extra attentive. Serving just came natural to him, it seems. We weren't the only table he was serving. There were several others. We liked him. It was my first time at Kings Highway. I liked the restaurant. It was interesting and unique place. The macramé giant elephant hanging on the wall was a show stopper. Food was good. Will have to come back again to try out other bites 👍🏼

Solid food, service, and atmosphere. I love coming to King's Highway. It is always a great time with great food! The chocolate milkshake is crazy good.

We came for Monday Bingo with Bella da Ball - and if I were rating the bingo alone, it’d be a solid 5 stars. Bella is welcoming, high-energy, and keeps the crowd engaged from start to finish. Definitely bring some cash to tip her if you can (though she does accept PayPal and Venmo). Also, don’t worry about arriving right at 7, people joined in throughout the evening. We also tried the Craft Beer Mystery Bucket, which is great value. Just a heads-up: it’s not strictly beer - you might find a vodka soda or two mixed in. As for the food, it was underwhelming. We had the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Roast Chicken, and neither stood out. Bottom line: come for Bella and the entertainment. If you’re going mainly for the food and drinks, it’s probably not worth it.

Great atmosphere, drinks, food, service. What a pleasure. The squash steak is unlike any other vegetarian dish I have had before. Delicious. There was live music while we dined. After our meal, we walked around the beautiful courtyard. This would be a great destination for a milestone anniversary date. The rooms at the Ingleside Estate were classy and intimate - some even had fireplaces. Very romantic all around.

I grew up coming to Melvyn’s on annual family vacations in the 70s + 80s. Last night I decided it was time for a reunion and walk down memory lane. You immediately feel old time Hollywood vibes as you turn onto the gravel road. Recognizing Mel’s signature M on the entrance followed by being seated in a cozy booth, my inner child was tempted to order a Shirley Temple with extra cherries. Leading up to the 50th anniversary next month, this steakhouse offers different additions each week to reflect each of the past 5 decades. The Chicken Pot menu staple is a delicious savory dish cooked to golden perfection with a generous portion. The 1985-95 throwback Chicken Kiev did not disappoint; flavorful crispy thin crust with moist chicken bursting with flavor in each bite. Cherries Jubilee was prepared tableside to perfection. We received impeccable warm and friendly service by our server, Holly. Refreshing to be assigned a female server in a role typical of males for an old time steakhouse. Thank you Melvyn’s for another great evening. Happy 50th!

This restaurant is a wanna-be high-end restaurant, but it leaves much to be desired. Although we made reservations in advance, there was no record of it, so we were given seats and ordered in the bar area. There was no complementary bread or anything offered. I ordered the Chicken Kiev which was way overpriced for what I got. After spending over $200 for our group of four, we ended up snacking when we got back to our hotel room because we were still hungry. The flavor of the food was just ok. The menu offered no explanation of each entree, and the waitress couldn't answer my questions about a dish in which I was interested. I was very much underwhelmed. I won't be going back.

We have lived in Palm Springs for over 20 years and have be to Melvyn's a number of time. We went on October 21st to celebrate my 93rd birthday and it was not a pleasant experience. First, we were seated at the worst table in the restaurant, next to the door where the food is brought in. Our waiter was under pressure and asked us to wait a few minutes. When he took our order my husband mentioned it was my birthday. He brought back ONE glass of champagne which we shared. The lobster bisque was excellent. The steak Dianne was not good at all, and the meat we get from Stater Brothers was better than that served. And, for this with a cocktail and a glass of wine each the bill came to just under $300. Melvyn's let us down big time and it was not a pleasant dinner. It may be a while before we return.

We were very excited to have dinner for our friends 40th birthday party at Melvins! We were even more excited to find out that they were celebrating 50 years in business and a different decade each year, which perfectly coincide with our friends 40th birthday and that they were celebrating 1985 to 1995. Highly recommend the loaded baked potato, steak and Mac & cheese. My mocktail was not what I expected. Thank you, Orlando, for the excellent service!

My daughter and I went for dinner and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Caesar salad was soggy, our entree arrived cold (sole for me) and our waiter could have cared less. Ambiance was great and Alexis who helped with our table was amazing. Celebrating 50 Years should be a milestone not an understone. Go to Dennys or Taco Bell.

This is a review for the playground part of the park. We absolutely love this playground. We passed by a few playgrounds before choosing to go to this one, because I thought that the background looked amazing. And since I was resting before a hike, I want to let the kids play, while I had a good view. It's clear to see that locals love the park as well, because there were some people who were having a birthday party here. I can see why this would be a popular park since it is so large, has great parking and an ample amount of place to sit down. I will say that I am disappointed with the bathroom situation. There were metal toilets, and it wasn't as nice as I would assume it would be, being that it is in Palm Springs, California. The bathrooms don't even have a faucet inside. You have to open the doorknob and go outside to the communal faucet next to where people fill their bottles with the water. Kind of gross. Overall, I would come again, but I would make sure to have a large bottle of hand sanitizer (which thankfully, we did).

One of my favorite places to bring my large, aggressive breed dog to run off leash while drinking Modelo in glass bottles then smashing them on the grass for others to step on. If you are like me and love the smell of raw sewage in the air, you'll find this park the perfect place to burn the hairs out of your nose. Also check out the multiple homeless living in the bathrooms and showering outside in the water fountains.

Has alot of path for my youngest to practice riding his bike. What i don't like is when you want to sit down and have a little picnic and theres dog crap in the grass and on the sidewalk. Come on all you dog people. Clean up after your pet.

Great place for pickleball at night after the valley cools down!

This review is only for the kids playground. Excellent! The kids loved it. Lots of slides and swings and climbing stuff. In addition there is a seperate fenced playground for toddlers. The grass is green, and there are plenty of shade trees with benches to sit on too.

Huge park for dog-walking or human walking! Not really a picnic type of park. Very few tables near bbq grills. Super fun kids jungle-gym area tho.

Wish it is not taken over by soccer games. Cars park on the grass when playing soccer. Leave bones in the grass. Put their chairs on sidewalks can't use them

I've been to dozens of dog parks, and the small dog park at Palm Springs Civic Center is by far the worst I’ve ever visited. First, the grass is nearly dead, leaving large areas of mud. Second, the city allows patrons to leave furniture in the park, resulting in about 40 mismatched chairs scattered throughout. These chairs are unsightly, inappropriate, and potentially dangerous for both dogs and people, as they are low-quality and largely sourced from trash receptacles around the city. They also take up so much space that there's barely enough room for dogs to run and play. Third, many visitors fail to clean up after their dogs. They sit in the dilapidated chairs, often facing away from their pets, and conveniently "don’t see" when their dogs relieve themselves. If you point it out, you’ll likely be met with hostility. The regulars treat the park more like a personal social club than a space for exercising dogs, and they often act as though they have authority over it simply because they've been going there for years.

Just say I'm not a big dog park guy .... but this one had a social speak easy in the middle lol.... not my vibe but a spot worth trying......we walked the boyz round the courthouse & local area great overall experience

Amazing little/big dog park that's friendly to all dog owners. Everything you need is provided from waste bags to water hoses! Plenty of room for your pup to run and play or smell and train. Also has a smaller area for a more secure feel or smaller dogs or to train. Great double gates to enter and exit safely with your best friend. I'm not from palm springs and was just visiting but every time I know that I visit there owns a pup and I have to say this one park was nothing less than impressive upon first visit. Wish it was like that here in San Diego. Lol. I'll be back again maybe within my own two pups. Very nice!😁🤩🐶🐕🐕‍🦺🐈

This dog park has a people problem. The regulars here treat the dog park, particularly the small side, as a personal social club. They don’t clean up after their dogs, or watch their poor behavior. There is a couple dozen random lawn chairs in varying states of condition which make the park look like a mess. On top of that the grass is mostly dead so it’s nearly all dirt. Panorama Park is far nicer.

There's some kind of weird boomer social club that gatekeeps entry to this park. You'll see them on the weekends all sitting together and will ask you to leave if you try to enter. They've got rowdy dogs and don't pick up after them. Do yourself a favor and don't bother visiting unless you want to watch grown adults laughing and insulting you like school kids.

Whenever I visit Palm Springs, I take my two little dogs to this great off leash park. There are two separately fenced areas, one for big dogs and one for small ones. The small dog park has a large grassy area and a shaded area where pet parents congregate. Many know each other from the neighborhood. There are also a few benches and chairs scattered about. I've found both dogs and humans alike here to be friendly. After Cupcake got attacked in an AZ doggy daycare, I have both my girls wear puncture proof vests anytime they're off leash around other dogs. There are also free EV charging stations for my Tesla in the parking lot by city hall. Clean restrooms are located on the east side of city hall, facing the airport. The park was open on Christmas Day, which was wonderful. Check my photos for hours of operation, park rules and closure times. We love this park!

Very nice dog park. Well kept and well stocked. Friendly fur parents that seemed to be genuinely aware of their dogs' behavior and interactions. Just reopened after a month long re-seeding of the grassy areas. It was a good job on that! Spent about an hour and a half there, 10:30 to noon on Christmas Eve. Sat and drank my coffee under one of several covered spots throughout. Threw tennis balls to my ball hog pup. Even if you forget to bring balls, there are numerous ones left for you and your dog to use and enjoy. Other dogs are very willing to run and play with your pup. Shade trees also throughout the park. PS Airport right next door, but almost unnoticeable. If you are a fellow responsible dog parent, I recommend this spot very highly!!!

Probably one of the best times I’ve had gambling at a casino. The vibe is just amazing. The energy is awesome. The dealers, pit bosses call you by name as if you’re a regular. The service is great! Everyone had a good energy about them. They were so welcoming and the best thing is I actually won some money!! I came to Palm Springs for my birthday weekend and we decided to come back to the casino Sunday for brunch. We arrived at 1:30pm Brunch is over at 2 o’clock in the afternoon so we thought be night have to do something else. The manager of the restaurant was standing outside like they were about to close I told him it was my birthday and if it was too late for brunch, his reply was “it’s never too late for brunch!” and he allowed us to come in. We weren’t rushed, the waitstaff showed such professionalism and class, the provided us with top notch service. We were the only party in the restaurant so here we are a party of 8 sitting at a round table in the middle of the steakhouse and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. This brunch couldn’t have turned out more perfect. We literally had a private dining experience. The food was amazing and a great price for a steakhouse. The brunch menu was good with options for everyone . have multiple options for everyone. I also received a complimentary birthday dessert and song. This is a casino that I would definitely come back to I had so much fun!!

We gambled and had dinner at The Steakhouse for our 1 year wedding anniversary. We enjoyed gambling at the casino but I was disappointed they didn't have any Craps at this location. The Steakhouse restaurant was very good but not perfect. For starters we had French onion soup that was very good. We ordered a tomahawk steak medium rare which in my opinion came out pretty much rare. We were slightly disappointed by didn't say anything and ate it anyways. We ordered the side of large prawns which were great, creamed corn, truffle fries and Mac and cheese. All the sides were great except I was disappointed in the fries because they are kind of a seasoned fry with truffling on them. In my opinion the fries should like a thick steak fry that is unseasoned and then do the truffling or don't. I've been to many steakhouses and typically that's the type of fries that are served. Yes, it's a small thing but it's those little things that make things great. I did love the fact that the ice in the iced tea was actually made from the tea. That was something I had never seen before and thought it was really good. Service was impeccable. We will definitely be coming back to the casino and The Steakhouse.

Clean casino and usually pretty fun. Pit bosses and managers are always hovering and annoying. The steakhouse here is good, But completely different menus in the one In Rancho and not as good….. Try to feel like they feel like they can charge more money for a inferior product, Recipes and menus are differentz

Had a wonderful time at this establishment. Sat at a bar and just played the video poker games offered Had the sweetest, nicest server and enjoyed delicious watermelon margaritas.

On September 10th, 2025, we went to the Agua Caliente casino in Palm Springs. We like to play blackjack. We had about 6 different dealers thought the day, then returned again in the evening. Of all of the dealers we had at the table, Nick stood high above the rest. He was vibrant, energetic, entertaining, funny, and very personable. He related to everyone at the table, and got us all involved in what was one of the most enjoyable times I have had at a blackjack table. He was quick on the deal, and pay-offs, and fully aware of everything that was going on around him. On the other hand, most of the other dealers we had that day were completely uninvolved with the group and I found myself almost falling asleep,a few times. They seemed to be simply putting in their time at the table and seemed to prefer being anywhere else but there. Thank you to Nick for making your time at the table so much fun! To the people in charge of hiring your dealers, please make personality a factor in your decision making process.

I have been to all 3 AQUA CALIENTE CASINOS they are pretty inside but NEVER EVER WON ON THE SLOTS, MY 3 FRIENDS SAID THEY HARDLY EVEN GOT ANY ACTION ON THE SLOTS. Folks I know who live here say the machines are tight and they avoid AQUA COMPLETELY. I suggest you go to BEAUTIFUL FANTASY SPRINGS OR MORONGO JUST DOWN HWY#10 ABOUT 24 OR LESS MILES AWAY. AT LEAST YOU CAN PLAY ON 20 BUCKS FOR QUITE SOME TIME. IM NOT EXAGGERATING. TRUTH BE TOLD. Sorry not a fan of any of the 3 Aqua casinos. The AQUA hotel is great near Bob hope Dr. Bit boo on the casino.

Cool place to walk around and sometimes they have dancing. And when you're in Palm Springs with nothing else to do later at night.This is the place to go. 4 of a kind. Can't beat 25c video poker for a little entertainment

There was an aerobics class with upbeat music going on today!! Super fun, made me join in!!! Love taking my fur baby Harlow here!!! He loves meeting new friends!!

Very nice park that is well maintained. Fairly large and we liked walking our dog there. They do have a playground for kids and tennis courts.

It's a pretty good park. Lots of stuff around, with paved footpaths connecting the areas together. It's very clean, no trash around. There are several water fountains around too. On one end there is a garden with some workout equipment. Probably good for walking a dog or just walking around.

A really nice and well maintained grassy park in the center of Palm Springs. Great for walking, dog walking and dog play, and tennis. There are 8 tennis courts, but no pickle ball courts (sorry!). There is a nice playground, basketball court, plenty of free parking (on and off street), picnic tables, and public restrooms. We like to take afternoon walks around the park, and through the mid-modern historic neighborhood that surrounds the park. Great mountain views from the park, too!

My wife and I absolutely loved this little gem of a park in downtown Palm Springs. Beautifully laid out and full of varieties of plants and trees, it's a delightful place to go walking or just relax on the expanse of grass. Definitely will visit again.

This is a well maintained and fairly large park with lots of open spaces. We are used a large area on the west end of the park to set up for a wedding breakfast send off event. We had room for plenty of guests, set up tables with food and had ample room for everyone and everything. Utilized multiple of the park’s picnic tables. Kids were able to go to the nearby playground also in the park. We had many bystanders checking things out that were on their morning walks through and around the park. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the neighborhood.

Great park to watch the Palm Springs Power ball. 4th of July was great. Amazing Firework show and a live band in the park

This park is pretty awesome. It has two play sets and a slate park. It is right next to the boys and girls club. There is a basket ball court and some rock climbing walls. The reason I gave it four stars is because it has turtle sprinklers but they seem to be broken.

Such a lovely park with two play areas that are easy for everyone to enjoy! There are swings and lots of shaded spots, perfect for relaxing while the kids play. It’s a great place to spend time outdoors with the family.

A really fun and scenic drive with changing terrain, some switchbacks, and beautiful viewpoints to stop at. It’s a scenic way to go between the Coachella Valley and Temecula wine country!

An easy drive from one ecosystem to another. Good views over the Coachella Valley at one point, and various places to stop and take in scenery or go for hikes. Idyllwild is a neat place to get lunch.

The scenery is stunning, the road is twisty and turny in the best way, but look out for impatient drivers who aren’t there for the views! Plenty of pullouts though so you can get out of their way

My second time driving this loop. It was just as impressive as the first and well worth doing again. Lots of hikes and great views.

Please do not take this route unless you are experienced with extreme grades, blind turns, how to use turnouts and have a vehicle/experience handling potential snow and icy road conditions. Saving a few minutes is not worth yours or others safety. Inexperienced people have died and killed others not knowing how to drive this beautiful highway.

This is one of the best hikes I've done here in the desert. It's very scenic and especially beautiful to see the cross lit up at night. Difficulty is 4/10. Great hike for people of all ages!

This is my 2nd time doing this hike and it's a good hike when you're short on time. Total hike round trip is 3 miles and the path of the cross is challenging but not strenuous. You go up and then double back down.

One of the best hikes in the greater Palm Springs area. Dogs are welcome here. We extend the up and back hike into a loop. Coming back at the courts below and walking up the drainage shoulder.

This is a great hike and workout. It's so refreshing and peaceful on your journey up to the cross and down. Amazing scenery! Fellow hikers are very kind and they really respect the natural landscape and wildlife. Highly recommend. You can go solo, bring your kids, friends, family...

If u want a fast and semi heart pumping hike. This is your spot. Easy hike, a little steep but one of my favorite hikes. I've took my whole family hiking here and they loved it. If u time it right. It's a 30 min hike up and 20-30 min hike down. Only because I jog it down the mountain. And an awesome view of the valley 🤩 Would recommend 100%!

A must see! Very Educational and enlightening. It is sobering to stand realizing how many human groups are treated as less than. Visited on a very hot day but this memorial is located in a gorgeous area. Dog park, community park, swim center, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts. Definitely lots to do after visiting even with 105 degree heat.

I visited this view point and scenery truly stunning. However, the experience was dampened by the lack of civil sense among some visitors, as there was trash scattered everywhere. It’s disappointing to see such a beautiful spot not being respected. Hope better maintenance and awareness can keep this place as pristine as it should be.

What a gorgeous view. A great vista point where you can see the Salton Sea. I always stop here on my travels back from Temecula. A must stop. A location where you can truly admire our desert cities and absorb the beauty of the desert.

Great views overlooking the Coachella Valley! We stopped on our road trip from Idyllwild. The drive is spectacular and the views dropping into the valley are special.

I love this vista point but it’s become a garbage dump that reeks of urine. Can some of the surrounding cities or the county clean this up, please? Simple cleanup jobs would do, create employment and make the place nice once again. Update: Last time I went here, the trash had been removed and now the place looked nice and well cared for.

Some of the reviews call this an easy hike which is so misleading. My Apple Watch clocked my heart rate at 140+ often. It’s about Lots of switchbacks with great views to catch your breath. Bring water. The only reason it got a 4 star was minimal parking and shade . Great views of the valley and rich people’s houses. Cute house at top for photos I was really surprised how many people were out hiking with no water or hats. Even in milder temps we’re still in a desert.

Beautiful 6K out and back with small loop at the top. About an hour up, rolling terrain, not too steep, well worn easy to follow trail. About 2 hrs altogether and we stopped for short breaks to rest and refuel. Not too crowded when we walked it from noon to 2pm. Scenic views into the hills and the famous Bob Hope house, amongst other elegant mid-century residences. Down the same path back to the small free parking lot. Not a highly technical trail but a little endurance helps for the first hour, tho by no means difficult or excessive. Recommend!

Great first day hike! Loved passing by amazing architecture in the hills and hiking on up to 360° views. The peaks in the snow are stunning to see with sun shining on them. Will likely pass other hikers. Everyone is friendly and shared the paths well.

Nice, wide trail with some fairly steep inclines to get the heart pumping! There are lots of lookouts to get views of Coachella Valley on one side and views of Mt San Jacinto, and sister peaks, on the other side. The trail is completely devoid of shade, so hiking it in the middle of the day could be quite hot. There’s ample parking at the trail head off Palm Hills Drive.

Really enjoyable hike up to Bob Hope House, with sweeping views of the valley below. Recommend taking lots of sunscreen and water as there is no shade, if you're going in the summer it's definitely worth it going early to avoid the heat. If you're there in October, the Halloween decorations at the start of the trail are kinda random but quirky and fun.

Nice trail with some parking right off the main road. Good trail for kids - our 5 year old felt really accomplished and enjoyed exploring the rocky sides of the path. Great one to checkout especially if you are a bit time crunched since its easy to get to. There was also a fun easter egg patch near the beginning of the trail that was a fun surprise for the kids.

This used to be a wonderful place for kids to cool down and splash around in the heat. But now they've closed it you are not allowed to touch it only look. One more thing your local government is taken away from you. Thanks Cathedral City for wasting our money on this.

Despite what the picture show, this is NOT A SPLASH PARK anymore. It's fenced off with signs telling you to stay out. My kids were very disappointed.

This is been one of my favorite places to go over the last several years. It's located in downtown Cathedral City and is currently undergoing some construction so the water is turned off but when the water is Flowing it's really wonderful and the kids are playing in the water during the summer months and people will lay nearby on their blankets and you know just relax or have picnics. It's right across from City Hall and a theater with around maybe close to 20 screens and a lot of parking and tons of restaurants and other businesses there. The city has done a wonderful job in getting businesses to come into the area and there's still a lot of open land there and I believe it was originally allocated to be a hotel but now it's area that's used for all different types of festivals and other activities in the city. I like taking my dog there for a walk and enjoying the the Green Grass and just letting her sniff everything and she always enjoyed the kids because she'd get lots of attention so it's a it's a special place for the city of Cathedral City and also for nearby visitors and out of town Travelers as well

Wonderful pace to take your little ones! I first came here over 10 years ago on a hot summer day ! And now I have the privilege of bring my toddlers . The best part of everything is that it is free ! Even parking ! Thanks Cathedral city for this amazing 👏 like water park 👏

Free, kid loved it, thing to do in the heat. The water was good and cold, not chlorine-smelling, other kids and parents very cool, excellent amount of shade around. Shady grassy spot too. Like Tucson, stay in the shade and it's cool. Should be on Palm Springs' things to do with kids. Thanks Palm Springs!

The city web page says you can jump in and cool your feet here, but the whole thing is locked up tight by a portable fence.

You're not allowed to play in the water anymore. Just one more thing cathedral city has wasted money on.

My wife and I enjoy the Civic part for all the things that it offers. Even watching a concert at night. You can walk around the park as you’re going to play a game of Pickleball or tennis. Palm Desert has done a fantastic job with our park. The crown Jewel, the Civic Park.

One of our favorite places in Palm Desert! Beautiful park with lagoons, turtles, ducks, play area, sport courts/fields and we were able to view the artists in action during the Plein air festival! A great place to have a picnic and unwind!

Great place to relieve stress take a walk. The scenery is beautiful if you’re into feeding birds and ducks and turtles bring a loaf of bread. They’ll love you and surround you. They have some cool workout equipment that pull bars you can work out on your abs chest they have a playground for the kids. They also have a little skate park dog parkbaseball pickle ball volleyball. They got a swimming area where you can swim. They got the YMCA they have a rec center and you could take showers.

It has big, wide walkways and shaded areas where children can play. There are multiple sports areas, including basketball and tennis courts, and convenient water fountains for filling up bottles. I especially liked the picnic tables with water misters, which made it comfortable to relax even on a hot day. The only downside is that some of the EV chargers were unavailable, which was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, it’s a great park and very well maintained.

Cool place! Beautiful and looks well-groomed. We decided to do a picnic, find a great place in the grass, and suddenly the sprinklers turned on, we were wet completely! It’s was fun :) but would be great to put at least the sign with the timing or something to avoid this type of incident.

Always have appreciated this Park. On this particular day, went to the first Water Lantern Festival held there. Walked by the rose garden and gazebo...pretty as always. Then sat at the edge of water and waiting for the sun to set. At sunset, we set our lanterns into the water...containing our wishes and desires for the future.

The parking lot is not visible from California State Route 74. It’s been said it’s better to park just before the main entrance to avoid car break-ins. Out and back is 16 miles bring plenty of water

Simple hike just above town. Beautiful views. A large portion is closed seasonally for big horn sheep protection so I had to stay on one particular trail that goes across the edge of town.

Great trail, big climb starting at Hwy 74, slightly technical single track, shade in early morning otherwise very exposed. Take plenty of water and a camera. Trail is rocky and a little slick and sandy. Go early for the best experience. Palm oases are amazing.

This is a great trail. Very well marked and easy to follow. We did 4 miles out and back. Would have loved to follow it all the way and see the oasis, but time wasn’t on our side. Great scenery of Palm Springs and we had a gorgeous day.

A very scenic trail that starts at the beginning of highway 74. It is very scenic the more you trek it. Not the easiest of the trails in the desert, however, one of the most beautiful ones, one that those that love hiking should take on! Make sure to take plenty of water with you as this is a long trail (~8 miles)

My favorite hike. Counted 16 big horns at one point hanging out snacking with us. Dead Indian canyon is just so fun once you get to the bouldering at the oasis. The wash was beautiful, but don't wear sandles as the sand and rocks will get stuck in your shoes. The big horns weren't scared of us either, we were about 5 feet from them. Be aware the trail closes Jan 1 to protect the big horns. Also, no dogs because they scare the big horns.

Just off the street headed towards Vista Point. It's a great place for a walk by yourself or with a friend. It stretches out pretty far. It's about an hour loop around the trail It can be hot at day so make sure to bring plenty of water. The walk up the trail should be fairly easy for most

Nice out and back trail that's dirt and rock. Street parking is easy right next to the start. 1.5 miles in, you have the option to go straight, left, or right. Right goes up with a stepper incline. Did around 4 miles in 1hr 45min with lots of picture taking and small breaks.

Awesome hike, great views, saw tarantula. Not crowded. Moderate challenge with ascent and descent but well marked trail. Wore running shoes. Wish I brought climbing poles.

I went to do a short hike to see if I could get some sunset photos. I didn't get to complete the whole trail due to my timing but did catch a great sunset. It is a great trail with beautiful scenery. I didn't pass anyone else on the trail. Plenty of street parking available.

This is one of our favorite hiking places in Palm Springs. It is moderately strenuous in some areas, but it's worth the Trek if you're up to a little physical exertion. Walking sticks are highly advisable for people over 50.

Nice trail. Great views! A lot of up and down hiking depending on your direction of travel. If you have hiking poles I recommend them. Quite a bit of loose gravel in places making some spots rather "slippery" and poles will help you through those areas. No shaded areas. Take plenty of water.

What a winter we have enjoyed in the Southern California desert! Rough parking lot but beautiful views.

Always a beautiful tucked away trail! It’s about a 6 mile loop. But I love it! The road leading up winds through a beautiful neighborhood! Just know if you are in a sedan it is paved to the base of the parking lot, then driving up there’s starting to get some decent side craters where front wheel drive cars will occasionally loose grip, just navigate between them and you are all good to go! The view at night is equally just as beautiful with a full sky of stars and the twinkling lights from the houses below it’s a great place for a scenic view as well!

Visited the MakerSpace area and the employees are amazing. They offer great classes ( I.e., 3D printing, soldering, laser cutting, and many more). They are super helpful and once you take the classes you can work on projects on your own.

Nice quiet library. It's got a large common room where you can plug in and charge a phone or laptop. In the courtyard is a large metal T-Rex.

This library is the only one in the CV to be open all 7 days of the week. Nestled back in the La Quinta Cove, this library has the best viewing of the surrounding park. Many windows and high open ceilings bring in the natural light. There is a nice childrens section and outdoor seating and ample spots to recharge your batteries!

Visited 8/3 at about 2pm to return and check out more books and the two women running the front had such bad attitudes. No smiles, not welcoming whatsoever. Honestly they seemed really miserable. Energy was not it. Hopefully next time it’s different.

My kids and I love going to La Quinta library every week! Friendly and helpful staff, especially Mr. Albert who does storytime. They have exciting events and activities for each month and we always look forward going back. Thank you lq library!

Sometimes I wonder what the least read book in the world is. It's probably not that bad, just an uninteresting subject or a poor cover design. Perhaps it's too many pages and no one has the time for that kind of commitment. If one's interests are in books and reading, the La Quinta Library is a good place to start. There is lots of natural light and many books. The staff couldn't answer my inquiry about the least read book, but that didn't affect my experience negatively or this review. 🛂

Nice little park in Cathedral City. It honor's veterans from Cathedral City who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Great place to walk your dog and the park is next to the city library.

Tejano event is kind of expensive for Cathedral City residents. It's not cover charge but don't buy a bottle a water for 3.95. It what it makes worse is that water has the label from Starter Bros. Don't take wrong Starter Bros I can buy a 36 bottles from the store for the money.

Nice little park to chill and relax a bit, some areas to hide from the sun and roll down the hills
