Fun vibes. Different types of eateries to satisfy everyone's wants and even a few treats like ice cream and funnel cakes. We ate water view and chose the outdoor seating. It was a beautiful day and evening. Ate at Gladstones and had dessert at the funnel cake place. It was a nice stroll over there to help walk off our dinner. We got to people watch, see the sunset and enjoy our view. So much to do even outside the area, the street had fun vibes and its a must do again.

One of my favorite places to visit........I especially like to bring out of town visitors here........beautiful view, especially when you can catch the Sunset! Great views of the Harbor and Queen Mary as well as the beautiful lighthouse.......Restaurant row has alot of greats eats as well as variety! Be prepared to wait especially on weekends, as it can be quite crowded!
Deirdre D — Google review
Great place for a walk, a ride, and food. I did not get to check out the other places unfortunately as time was limited but I did get to eat some funnel cake and take a walk. The funnel cake was decent enough and the walk was great. It was slightly windy and everyone around me seemed to be having a nice time out.

Shoreline Village has it all — from great weekend vibes with live music to a solid selection of restaurants. Whether you’re in the mood for a romantic dinner or just want a relaxing walk by the water, this is the perfect spot to unwind. The view of the Queen Mary is a bonus, especially at sunset. It’s one of those places where you can chill, eat, drink, and just enjoy the atmosphere. Highly recommend for a laid-back weekend!

Tequila Jacks. Service and food both on par. Excellent. The whole atmosphere and vibe at Shoreline Village is fun, cool, and overall fantastic time. You cannot be disappointed here. You will have a great time.
Esperanza S — Google review
Very lively place with lots of of food options, shopping mall nearby. Also Long Beach Aquarium in walking distance. Family friendly place and a very nice weekend place.

Shoreline Village is a charming place to spend a few hours, especially around sunset. It has a laid-back, colorful vibe with a good mix of souvenir shops, coffee spots, and casual restaurants. The views of the marina are beautiful, and it’s a nice area to just stroll around and take in the scenery. You’ll find everything from local crafts to sweet treats while wandering through. Parking can be a bit pricey, but the overall experience and views make it worth a visit.

Garden
Nature & Parks
Nestled within the California State University campus in Long Beach, the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden is a serene and meticulously maintained 1.3-acre garden. Inspired by Tokyo's Imperial Gardens, it boasts meandering pathways, ponds teeming with colorful koi fish, wooden bridges, and vibrant floral arrangements. Visitors can relax on benches while taking in the tranquil atmosphere or wander through the garden's peaceful surroundings.
Wonderful, beautiful place to go. It's free, but you can make a donation. It's very tranquil and peaceful with the music and the birds chirping. You could walk around, and it would only take 30 minutes. But it is so pretty you have to sit and take in the views.
Janet H — Google review
I love visiting this Japanese garden. It's so tranquil and serene and I get to visit my alma mater. Be sure to make reservations. There is a parking lot just across of the garden. Parking will depend on the amount of time to choose.
Melody T — Google review
This Japanese garden was a beauty space full of nature, color, and tranquility. It was peaceful the entire time we were here. Quiet to moderate conversations amongst guest, no obnoxious screaming or loud running, and maintenance were well kept. We got the ability to feed the koi fish and so there are many locations including bridges and small delta to the pond where you can hand feed the koi if you preferred. I was so excited to come as it was for my bday and I truly love koi fish. Outside the garden there are Japanese lanterns, restrooms, information center, and a collection of bonsai trees. We also had the ability to take home our own origami. I loved the papers they had.
Missnija — Google review
A great, cute little garden. It's very popular, so reservations are required. You can even feed the fish if you want (but make sure you pick the feeding option when making reservations)
Britt G — Google review
Its a very small Garden but well kept and definitely worth the visit. Admission is free but you have to reserve a time on line. They do great at keeping crowds small. Lots of photo spots.
KayvyCrafts N — Google review
This is such a cute little Japanese Garden located inside the Long Beach College. Easy to get there. I recommend you park across the entrance which is lot 4. You do need to pay as they do have the parking security check. It's $6 per hour. You will need make reservations on their website and create an account which totally free as well to go in. They do verify if you have reservations. Its well maintained. It took us about 30 minutes to see all of it but the remaining of the time we were admiring the garden, cute Koi fish and you can also feed them. You will need reservations to feed the Koi. Very peaceful and their staff is very polite. Definitely coming back.
EdenA — Google review
When the Japanese Garden has special events for the public, it is free for adults, or $10. The parking across in lot 4 will be free. Go online to check it out. Kids day is super fun. The day when they have all the Japanese dolls out is wonderful. I love the koi, the manicured grounds, bridge, the trees and plant. The quiet, the beauty.
B. C — Google review
Beautiful and well maintained. An hour is enough time to walk through and enjoy the garden. Allow more time if you like to sit and appreciate the environment.

Nestled in the heart of Long Beach, the El Dorado Nature Center is a sprawling 105-acre park offering a serene escape into nature. This family-friendly destination boasts walking trails, lakes, and a stream, providing ample opportunities to immerse oneself in the great outdoors. Visitors can expect to encounter diverse wildlife, including turtles, rabbits, and over 100 species of birds amidst an array of plant and tree species.
Nature in the Middle of Long Beach My husband and I recently spent half day exploring El Dorado Nature Center Trail in Long Beach with friend’s family, and I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy it this much. It really felt like a secret little oasis tucked right into the city. The entrance is shared with Long Beach Animal Care Services. If you’re going to the animal shelter, just let the parking attendant know, and you can make a left right away into their small lot for free. However, if you are here for the Nature Center, just pay at the entrance and the fee was $6 on a weekday, $7 on Fridays, $8 on weekends, and $9 on holidays per car. No cash accepted. Two parking areas are in different locations and fenced off from each other. If you don’t want to pay for parking, you can try finding a spot nearby and just walk in. Once we started walking the trails, I immediately felt like I’d escaped the city. The Nature Center is over 100 acres, with beautiful trees, a gentle creek, and two lakes. I spotted squirrels, turtles, ducks, birds, and even a rabbit just chilling in the grass. It’s super quiet and peaceful, with lots of signs along the way sharing cool facts about the local wildlife and plants. There’s also a little gift shop located at the beginning of the trails. It actually has mini exhibits inside and we took some time looking around and got relaxed on bench before heading out to the trails. There are three trail options: * A ¼ mile paved path that’s stroller and wheelchair-friendly * A 1 mile dirt path A 2-mile dirt path that loops deeper into the woods We firstly walked the ¼ mile and it was easy. And then we walked deeper for 1 mile ones to feel more out in nature. The 1 mile trail gave off that rustic, foresty vibe while still being easy to walk on. The 2-mile trail was closed at the time we visited. Here are some heads-up: • No pets allowed on the trails • No food or picnicking inside the Nature Center. There is a El Dorado Park right across the street. It’s great for picnics, dogs, and an archery range is available. The entry fee is the same, or you can buy an Annual Parking Pass for $65 which covers both the Nature Center and the park. I’m seriously thinking about getting one. Also nearby: • El Dorado Park Golf Course • The El Dorado Frontier Theme Park, a small western-style amusement spot for families with kids If you’re looking for a quiet, nature-filled break without driving far, I highly recommend spending a couple hours here. I left feeling refreshed, and definitely will be back soon. El Dorado Nature Center Trail 📍 7550 E Spring St, Long Beach, CA 90815 ⏰ Open Tuesday–Sunday, 7am–5pm (Closed on Mondays)
Jenny L — Google review
We just revisited El Dorado Nature Center as a family, and once again it did not disappoint. We walked all three trails — short loop, quarter-mile, and the full two-mile loop — and the experience was peaceful, immersive, and beautifully maintained. This place may be tucked inside a bustling part of Long Beach, but once you’re in, it feels like you’ve entered a different world. Lush native habitat, shaded paths, wooden bridges, flowing streams, and quiet wildlife make it an ideal escape for both adults and kids. We spotted ducks, turtles, squirrels, and even a blue jay — all within a short walk. What stands out most: • The paved sensory trail is great for strollers and accessible walking. • The educational signs about plants, birds, insects, and local ecology make it a perfect learning walk for kids. • The park is exceptionally well preserved — quiet, clean, and clearly cared for by the city and community. • Even the small things like benches, railings, and signage are thoughtfully placed and well-integrated into the landscape. This is our second visit in a few years, and it’s even better than we remembered. While the center isn’t huge, it’s so well designed that you can easily spend an hour or two wandering without getting bored. It’s a great spot for reflection, gentle exercise, or just introducing kids to nature in a safe and curated way. Highly recommend for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking for a peaceful break close to the city. We’ll absolutely be back again.
Larry A — Google review
Great place to walk or hike to enjoy nature. I saw lizards, squirrels, turtles, dragonflies, and even bass! There is a 2-mile, 1-mile, and 1/4-mile (paved) trail. The nature center there has some souvenirs to purchase, as well some great information about the history of the area and it's native animals. There is a fee to get in and the fee varies depending on what day you go. There are plenty of benches on each trail and alot of it is shaded.
Robert M — Google review
A well maintained nature center with nice trails and a visitor center. Open Tuesday - Sunday (close Monday), until 5pm. Beautiful and tranquil lakes with benches to sit and enjoy the quiet moments with clear reflection and to watch ducks and turtles. 3 clearly marked trails at 1/4, 1, and 2 miles with progress markings along the way. The dirt trail is clean and pretty easy to walk, mostly shaded, with many squirrels along the way. Tips: $8 for parking on a Saturday, credit cards only!! Tips: if you go in the mid-afternoon, you need to plan your time, and be aware the parking closes at 5pm sharp. After that , the volunteers told us you have to call the police to unlock the gate and you may be fined for trespassing.
Tony F — Google review
Beautifully maintained, and great people here. The trails are so pretty, and there are benches along the way to rest or take in the beauty. What a treasure! I highly recommend buying the annual parking pass.
Laurie P — Google review
Great place to get exercise outdoors, in a more controlled environment. Had turtles and plenty other thing's to see including a mini museum!. Entrance fee is $7 per car.
Keesha F — Google review
This place I visited for the first time in 1997 my 3rd grade field trip. I enjoyed it so much. It never gets old. I just love it. The trail, the trees, turtles, ducks, squirrels, 🐝 🐝 etc Love going inside to the shop and too the little museum. I totally recommend.
Maria M — Google review
Not many animals to see but this place had a lot of shade and it was free entry. Parking was $8 and two restrooms available. One outside parking and one inside the center.

The Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) is a unique space dedicated to showcasing modern and contemporary Latin American and Latinx art. Housed in a former silent film studio, the museum features a stunning outdoor sculpture garden, vaulted ceilings, and distinctive wood floors. With a permanent collection of over 1,300 works from 20 Latin American countries, MOLAA provides a platform for artists who may not receive recognition elsewhere.
I love this museum. I see shows that are curated as well as large well heavily endowed institutions. Stop by and spend an hour or two taking in some the best representations of Latin American creative excellence.
Kenneth C — Google review
We visited the museum at opening (11am) on a Saturday. We had purchased the tickets online, and there was no details of what exhibits were open or closed. Upon arriving we were told that about half of the museum was closed as they were setting up for two new exhibits. Since this was our first time here we did not know what to expect. To walk the two exhibits that were on display took maybe 10 to 15 minutes as we really engaged with the artwork. We then went to go see the sculpture garden outside. Upon walking outside if you went to the left there is a covered seating area with a vending machine (I believe). To the right is a long narrow pathway between buildings that leads to the garden. The garden has very little shade so if it is hot like it was the day we visited you will be looking for that shade. The area was nice and the exhibits were interesting. We stopped by the gift shop before leaving and I purchased a piece of Mexican straw art by an artist named Miguel Hernandez. Overall we spent maybe 45 to 50 minutes here and had a great time. We would go back if they have new exhibits.
Isaiah C — Google review
Smaller than expected - for 15$. Not much art to see. For once because the building is much smaller inside than it appears from the outside. Also because, I guess, because some of the current exhibitions occupy a lot of space - where otherwise could hang many pictures. I was pointed to two "galleries" - one a set of rooms, the other a single room. That's it. The sculpture garden was okay, but littered with tables, maybe from a reception, which spoiled the overall impression. I would NOT recommend it if they don't get their act together - better. For free, yes, go have a look.
Keiner J — Google review
Nice museum $15 entry free parking. Kinda on the smaller side. The outside makes it look bigger than it is. The sculpture garden was closed when I went. The gift shop was pretty cool. The staff was pretty nice. Overall I say you should give it a chance if you're into art. Also its more of an art gallery than a museum.
F. J — Google review
I appreciate that they had a reduced $7 entry fee due to 4/5 galleries being closed at the moment. Friendly staff. If I lived here, I'd go read in the tranquil sculpture garden. Pretty jewelry, ceramics , and textiles in the gift shop as well.
Alison C — Google review
I was in the Long Beach for an event, and was looking to find things to do around here, this museum was my first choice. It’s small and has exhibitions of four artists at the moment. The exhibitions are very well thought out and set up, there are some really beautiful and unique pieces that I haven’t seen anywhere else. I really wish there was a tour guide or self guided tour so I could learn more about the pieces and the work behind them. On Saturday afternoon it wasn’t too crowded but the parking was a pain. The parking lot is small and hard to navigate with lots of dead ends. There was also some kind of event taking a place around the corner, sharing the same parking lot. It was like plants farmers markets! It was another highlight of the visit, I got a few plants, an art piece, and met some incredible people. There was insane line to get in there. The entrance to the museum was free because it was Saturday and also it coincided with one free day a month even though I was not a long beach resident.

Very intriguing and enjoyable exhibits today.

I really enjoyed this museum. Staff are nice, helpful. The exhibits were good. It is a nice, wide open space. Was not crowded at all. Nice laid back atmosphere. There is also an outdoor sculpture garden, where events are held. There a plenty of free parking. Great gift shop. But, it's really small. So yeah,it's a nice, short, sweet visit.

Museums
The Long Beach Museum of Art is located on a bluff-top site and features galleries showcasing works by Southern California artists. The museum's permanent collection includes over 3,200 American and European art pieces displayed in rotating exhibitions within the Elizabeth Milbank Anderson house, a stunning California bungalow from 1911. Additionally, the adjacent Pavilion hosts visiting and special exhibitions featuring contemporary artists.
The Long Beach Museum of Art is such a hidden gem for weddings. The ceremony overlooking the ocean is breathtaking, and the gardens and terraces create a natural flow for guests to enjoy the celebration. Inside, the gallery spaces bring an unexpected creative touch—I loved seeing a couple step away for portraits framed by vibrant artwork, which felt like a blend of fine art and personal storytelling. From a photography standpoint, the variety of backdrops is unmatched: ocean views, clean modern interiors, and intimate evening lighting strung across the courtyard. It allowed me to capture an entire wedding day with so much diversity in the visuals, all without ever leaving the property. If you’re looking for a venue that feels both elevated and personal, the LBMA really delivers. It’s easily one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding.
Clubhouse C — Google review
Gorgeous views and a wonderful restaurant on the property. We were a little underwhelmed by this museum. If we didn’t receive half off from eating at the Claire’s restaurant we would have been disappointed. It was cool to see so much of Keith Haring’s work up close.
Joss — Google review
I attended the "After Dark" event for The Art of Food exhibit and was very underwhelmed. The exhibit itself was quite boring. I didn’t realize it would take such a modern and minimalist approach, especially since the advertisements featured a colorful, lush painting on the cover art. Most of the pieces were modern works—like those by Warhol and Lichtenstein—which I don’t particularly care for. The "After Dark" party was disappointing. The staff outnumbered the guests, and for a $20 ticket, I expected at least a complimentary wine pour. At 9:50 I was asked to leave because I was the only person left... 10 minutes before closing time. Overall, I found the experience lacking and probably won’t attend special events here again.
Emily D — Google review
A really nice art museum. The Keith Haring exhibit was really cool with a handful of items and work I’ve never seen before. The staff were super nice to chat with and friendly. The museum has an upper patio that overlooks the ocean as well!

It's one of the best spots in Long Beach. The food and cocktails are all really good. Highly recommend.

Nice little museum with the view of the ocean. There are 3 floors in this museum, they have exhibits of artists from local area. Wonderful installation outside, look beautiful day and night time. I have the honor to volunteer for the installation. Thanks LBMA for having me. Parking is free and it’s outside of the museum. So make sure to check the google map before you come. There is a little restaurant for you to enjoy the ocean breeze and beautiful view as well.

There are places to eat brunch and beverages outside the Museum. We have go to the opening hours Friday and can sit without the Waiting. The employees are very kind and ocean view is so beautiful. Food was so delicious. We didn't see the museum because the child was so sleepy. I want to see the inside of the museum next time.

Rancho Los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens is a significant cultural and historical site in Long Beach, CA. The property includes a well-preserved adobe ranch house, expansive gardens designed by renowned landscape architects, and several agricultural buildings. Visitors can take guided tours to explore the ranch's rich history dating back to the Tongva people and its role in California's ranching legacy.
It's a shame this was my first time to this beautiful oasis given I was born and rescued in Long Beach and attended CalState Long Beach located next door. However it was fitting to visit this beautiful place with my now 12yr old. We arrive just in time for a tour. Our tour guide was wonderful. We got to see the inside of the Adobe. Unfortunately some of the grounds and animals were not accessible due to the recent damage caused by a burst water piper. As someone who was born and raised in the city, places like this are truly rare and much needed as they allow you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city while never leaving it. There is so much history here. As always remember the indigenous folks he were here long before. Before the Europeans arrived this was sacred land to the Tongva people, and still is sacred land to the Tongva people.

Came to visit for work retreat and it was a lovely way to spend the morning. The entrance was easy to find and security was friendly. The outside area is gorgeous and great for a walk. The house tour was so great, it was like a time capsule. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and gave us great insight. I do wish there were more resources or guides for more research since I did have some lingering questions regarding the history of the staff at the property since I do feel that their contributions were just as important as the family. It’s a wonderful tour and insight into California and Long Beach history.

What a wonderful place to visit! They have free admission and free guided tour of the property. The historic adobe ranch home was amazing but you are not allowed to take any pictures inside the home. On the property there is also a blacksmith shop, dairy barn, feed shed for the horses, original gas pumps, two massive Moreton Bay Fig trees, and much more! Don't forget to check out the intro. video at the visitor center. I easily spent several hours here. Take it all in, take your time, and enjoy this spectacular place of history, nature, and wonder!

Exploring a Hidden Historic Gem: Rancho Los Alamitos Took advantage of a quiet Friday afternoon to visit one of Long Beach’s lesser-known historic sites- Rancho Los Alamitos. Tucked inside the gated Bixby Hill community right next to Cal State Long Beach, this spot feels worlds away from the city. At the entrance, just let the security guard know you’re visiting the Rancho, and you’ll receive a temporary parking pass. Parking inside is limited, but the area is calm and peaceful, making it a pleasant escape. The visit begins at the Rancho Center, where friendly staff asked for an email sign-in and recommend watching a short introductory film. The film gives an overview of the land’s long and layered history, along with stories of the Bixby family who once lived here. The history of Rancho Los Alamitos stretches across centuries: ▶️ Indigenous Era: Thousands of years ago, this area was home to Tongva villages. ▶️ Spanish Era (1784): The Spanish government granted this vast piece of land to Manuel Nieto - one of the largest land grants in Southern California, covering today’s Long Beach, Whittier, and Norwalk areas. ▶️ Mexican Era (1834): Rancho Los Alamitos was originally part of Rancho Los Cerritos, which spanned over 300,000 acres. Over time, as land was divided and reduced, only about 7.5 acres remain today. ▶️ American Era (after 1846): Following California’s statehood, the land changed ownership several times before the Bixby family turned it into a large-scale cattle ranch. ▶️ 20th Century (1968): The Bixby family eventually donated the property to the City of Long Beach, transforming it into a public historic site and museum. Today, the grounds include historic buildings, gardens, barns, and a preserved ranch area — a window into the region’s early ranching days. After the film, visitors can explore an exhibit hall featuring a large floor map that shows the original Rancho land divisions, a fascinating visual of how the ranch system shaped Southern California’s development. Walking through the grounds feels both serene and educational: • Rose Garden: Compact but beautifully maintained, filled with vibrant blooms. • Cactus Garden: Lush with succulents and tall cacti, evoking a true Southwestern vibe. • Barn Area: Currently closed to the public, but still interesting to view from outside. We were lucky to meet a volunteer named Patti, who enthusiastically shared stories about the ranch and suggested joining a guided tour. Fortunately, staff member Nancy was available and kindly took us through the main ranch house, a space open only by reservation. Inside, the original adobe structure and the family’s living quarters are preserved (no photography allowed), offering an intimate look at early California ranch life. The contrast between the cozy indoor rooms and the open-air gardens outside is striking. Overall, Rancho Los Alamitos beautifully weaves together Native, Spanish, Mexican, and American histories — all within a small but well-preserved space. It’s a tranquil destination that offers both reflection and discovery, perfect for anyone interested in history, architecture, or gardening. Visiting Tips: • Open Wednesday–Sunday, 1 PM – 5 PM • Free admission — reservations recommended for the adobe house tour • No photography allowed inside the main house • Limited parking — arrive early or visit during quieter hours • There’s a small gift shop, and the site occasionally hosts special events including a charming Christmas display each winter 🎄 • You can easily pair this visit with CSULB’s Japanese Garden or a trip to Downtown Long Beach for a well-rounded half- or full-day itinerary. 📍 Rancho Los Alamitos Historic Ranch and Gardens 6400 E Bixby Hill Rd, Long Beach, CA 90815

Rosie's Dog Beach is a 4-acre off-leash beach in Belmont Shore, Long Beach, where dogs can run and play freely. This dog-friendly paradise is part of the pet-centric offerings in Long Beach, which includes pet-friendly hotels, restaurants, parks, and trails for on-leash walks. Established nearly two decades ago by Justin Rudd, founder of Haute Dogs, this non-fenced beach was officially named after Rosie the Bulldog in 2010.
Love coming to this beach! My dog loves the sand. People seem friendly and we haven’t come across any aggressive dogs. Lots of space for a dog to run and play. They also have a place you can clean your dog off after! The dog paw lifeguard station is super cute!!

Not a bad place, paid parking but it's super close to the bar and dog beach. The food wasn't bad, the plating was beautiful. Wish the french toast were fluffy they seemed a Lil too healthy 😅. The salmon burger looked good. We went for breakfast no one was really there which is fine for us. Our dog loved it smelled everywhere had her ice cream snack with a smile. The owner super friendly.

Go to beach to just go on a walk or sit and eat with some friends. The views here are always incredible. But as it is a dog beach be aware of dogs (obviously) approaching you while eating! Lol. Beautiful seashells as well!

1 if not the best dog beach for all types of owners. Extremely large beach that has so many volleyball courts and a place you and all your loved ones can enjoy. I definitely highly recommend this place to any dog lovers owners. Update: This location has dozens of volleyball court and the parking lot is sooooo huge you can literally park anywhere. If someone's saying that you have to circle to find parking then that's just a lie, the parking can fit nearly hundreds of cars. And when we go, we dont see any poop unless you may have come across a bad area to whom I can't defend. But all in all the beach is clean everytime we went. There maybe other areas I haven't been, but we usually stay near the convenience store/drink area. So again all in all really good and clean for the most part.

Rosie’s Dog Beach is a wonderful time. Lots of easy parking. People with dogs are especially friendly and there are lots and lots of wet and sandy dogs having a joyous time frolicking in the waves and chasing each other. When it’s hot in LA it is deliciously cooler by the sea. Highly recommend!
Clea B — Google review
Nice beach area for the dogs. I kept my dog on a leash because I like to keep him close and he doesn't like dogs who approach too aggressively. Some owners lose track of their dogs, by allowing them to roam all over the beach. That's fine, I just would like an assist if my dog isn't "feeling" your dog. It is close to a bike trail, so if your pup is more interested in chasing than playing in the water, you might have an issue. Lots of parking in a paid lot or on the street.
Dianna L — Google review
Love to take my 2 pups to Rosie's dog beach. It is the one place I feel comfortable letting my cattle dog loose to run free. The designated area is not very long but that's okay, just having water and sand is good enough. Length about 5 football fields give or take. Bruxie is near by if your looking for a good bite to eat and dog friendly. Also have a little snack shack on Rosie's beach offering snacks for pups and food for humans too, is a bit pricey though. Parking is easy. I recommend downloading parking app Passport, alot easier than using machine to pay. Video was a pug meet up on beach.
Scott G — Google review
Enjoyable, definitely a good place to take your dog for some R&R. The beach is kind of small, but it’s big enough to let your dog run around off leash. It’s clean which I really like and are dog bags available to pick up after your dog. It required to leave your dog on a leash and until you get to the dog zone. Restrooms nearby and parking is $.50 per 15 minutes ($2 per hour).

Nestled in the vibrant city of Long Beach, the Long Beach Antique Market is a monthly open-air flea market that takes place on the third Sunday of each month at the Veterans Stadium. This bustling event features over 800 vendors showcasing an eclectic mix of antiques, vintage clothing, collectibles, and unique decor items spread across 20 acres. It's a treasure trove for those who love to hunt for retro furniture or one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.
This market is huge, I spent four hours there and I don't think I have managed to enter all the stalls. The big selling point for me is the vintage clothing, the quality and the variety is really high, but there are plenty of stalls that sell antique furniture, jewelry and more. Plenty of parking on site, there's a $10 entrance fee to be paid in cash. There are three little ATM machines outside the main entrance, but it costs $5 to withdraw money from there. Inside some merchants take digital payments, but it's always preferred to have cash, they mostly preferred that form of payment. Dogs are not allowed in the market.
F T — Google review
Always love the flea! Very friendly vendors and good prices for home decor stuff, though many are just kind of selling junk so you have to have a good eye and know what you’re looking for. Not much haggling goes on, but as the day wraps up some are more motivated to sell. Be prepared for heat sun and bugs (some kind of Asian beetle was dive bombing everyone). Worth the drive from LA

We absolutely love coming here. They have it on the 3rd Sunday of every month. On occasions they have twice a month. They have a beer stand to keep you hydrated. Plenty of Food trucks are located outside. Though there are a lot fairly priced goods, all the booths vary. Bring plenty of water, there are 100's of vendors and there's lots to see.
Susy — Google review
Brought my mom here and we both had a pretty good time. The sun got a little hot so we left early but we had already bought some indoor plants (which she loves) and I got some cool jewelry I found cool!! We called it in early since the sun was pretty hot and we brought no water. Other than that we will be back next month :)
Chepe — Google review
Great outdoor swap meet with plenty of available walking area for a good workout. Lots of vendors and an impressive offering of antique items for sale. Can be hot in the summer months so be prepared with drinking water/beverages and a hat.
Robert H — Google review
What a great vintage flea market! I have to say the variety of sellers and items is amazing. Many of the sellers frequent the other flea markets in the So Cal area but this one is much easier to navigate. It's not too big, I did walk 5 miles but I went back a few times through the aisles. Some of the vendors are a little pricey but overall most are willing to negotiate if the price/item is right. Free parking and admission was cheap. You can park at the North or South end.
Shawn A — Google review
This is a huge antique market. I was not expecting it to be this big. So much stuff to look at, I observed a lot of people buying beautiful stuff, very unique items, so much fun. Admission is $10 per person. Parking is free and it's on a college campus parking lot, there are plenty of spaces. Take water and some snacks because there is no food there, and if you want to browse everything, you will get hungry. You can leave and come back just to make sure you get a stamp on the way out , so you can get in without paying another admission fee.

Hiking area
Dominguez Gap Wetlands, located along the LA River, is an urban oasis offering a variety of outdoor activities. The wetlands feature a scenic hiking trail that stretches over two miles and provides opportunities for bird-watching and horseback riding. This $7.1 million restoration project has transformed the area into a recreational haven with amenities such as equestrian trails, bike paths, and walkways while also serving as a flood protection and water conservation site.
I remember going on a high school field trip with my biology class at Jordan High School in 2009 to clean nearby parts of the LA River when this project was just completed. In only A few hrs we picked up truckloads of trash. Nearly 15 years later I find myself much older and much more grateful to have access to a space like this in an urban city like Long Beach. I found myself enjoying bird watching and attempting to identify the different floras. I am thankful for my science teacher, as now as an adult I can see his passion for science and the environment and his attempts to pass it on to the youth. You can't help but walk here and feel relaxed and be reminded of our connectedness to earth and the need to be conscious of our imprint on the world. I've taken my daughter for walks here. I guess I'm getting old but this place is beautiful at any age 💗🌞🙏🏾🦢🦆 On my walk I spotted a Grreat Blue Harron and Canadian Geese as well as many other birds :)
Roberto S — Google review
This is a great reclaimed wetland off the LA River bike trail. It's a serene bird-watcher's paradise, with a very easy walking trail. The trail is wide enough for bicyclists on the west end, but the east side should be reserved for pedestrians. There are also horseback riders passing through on their way to a separate trail. There is some bike parking as well, and shaded picnic bench. However, there is no potable water around, so be sure to pack your own water bottle. In terms of nature, there are geese, mallards, coots, a variety of birds (I spotted a gold finch, a heron, Northern mockingbird, a pair of terns, and some kind of canary, and heard an owl), lizards and squirrels. I haven't seen any turtles yet but it seems like the right habitat. On the walk you will spot a ton of reeds, California buckwheat, wild lavender, and wild tobacco. Insect repellent and sunscreen are suggested on sunny days.
SJ C — Google review
This place is located right behind my house. It is an excellent walking trail and also an access point to get onto the bike trail that runs along the LA River. You can enjoy some very interesting wildlife here. I have seen some beautiful and unusual birds. The ducks are aleveryday resident of this pond. Maybe three times I have run into snakes but totally harmless and minding their own business. So if you bring your children they do get to see ducks and during spring a lot of ducklings. I take my dog here everyday.
Sadiq M — Google review
If you are looking for a hike this is not the spot it is literally some wetlands that are created between some housing and the LA River hello activity was half and half I did not feel entirely safe but I don't think that it is unsafe if you live in the area it's a nice afternoon hike not too many people soft ground most far you going to look at the new wetlands but is what it is enjoy or if you want a real hike go somewhere else. Also probably best to park at the park off of del amo Don't try and park in the neighborhood near the country club it's kind of hard to find the place there. Final now watch out for horses I don't know where the horses stay but I did see a couple horses while I was there so just letting you know Cheers mates.
Stu L — Google review
I love hiking and running here. I recently brought a friend, and she really enjoyed it too. Lots of beautiful wildlife to see and hear. For the most part, it's clean. If you follow the loop trail all the way around, however, I'd exercise situational awareness, as there are sometimes transient people in the area. I've never had a bad experience there, but it might be a good idea to bring a companion, just to play it safe.

Kind of an average beach. There are some nice amenities and it’s large, but it’s also pretty dirty with a lot of trash and debris laying around. It looks like the city has partially renovated it with some features looking very new and others practically falling apart. The offshore drilling islands with artificial decorations are amusing to see.

Hilltop Park, situated atop Signal Hill in Long Beach, offers a compact green space with breathtaking panoramic vistas. The park provides 360-degree views of the surrounding area, including the Port of Long Beach, THUMS Islands, Catalina Island (on clear days), the Los Angeles skyline, and snow-capped San Bernardino mountains.
Such a wonderful place to enjoy a peaceful morning walk. There is a circular trail at the hilltop and a panoramic pathway that walks you down the hilltop. It is also quite accessible. Plenty of large walkways, all paved and with ramps and park benches all around. Though I was by myself, I noticed how truly romantic this morning experience was. Whether you’re taking yourself on a solid date or your partner. So many couples, enjoying the quiet of the morning, looking out over the horizon. I was there to experience sunrise, but this is a perfect place for a date really anytime of day!

Perfect for a picnic on the lawn, a great place to get some fresh air and spend some time. 5 stars.

Such a beautiful view of the coast, Long beach, and the rest of LA county. There are bathrooms (although not the cleanest), gazebo covered tables with grills, shade from trees, and a landscaped area to enjoy the view from the cement benches or take a closer look through the 25 cent mounted telescopes. Even on a hot sunny day, the cool ocean breeze feels very nice and refreshing. Definitely a great spot to have a picnic or just take in the fresh air with a breathtaking view.

I had the day off and thought, “Why not do something wholesome?” First, I discovered a gyro so good it could end wars. Then I swung by the Long Beach Airport viewing area to watch planes take off like the budget version of Catch Me If You Can. On the way home, I spotted this hill and decided to check out the view—because nothing says “impulsive life choices” like chasing an elevated mound of dirt. After surviving a gauntlet of stoplights that felt like LA’s version of purgatory, I finally made it. Parking is scarce—mostly street parking—so you’ll need to channel your inner Formula 1 driver to snag a spot. The view? Pretty solid, assuming you enjoy squinting through the official LA haze filter. The park itself is clean, plenty of shade under the trees, and the atmosphere is relaxed… depending on your definition of “relaxed.” Because here’s the thing: Signal Hill is basically the unofficial make-out capital of Southern California. There were more teenagers locking lips than there are pigeons in New York. Forget sunsets—these kids came to tongue wrestle. So, pro tip: if your daughter says her boyfriend is taking her to Signal Hill to “hang out,” she’s not talking about admiring the skyline. Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re nearby. The view is free, the breeze is nice, and the people-watching is chef’s kiss. Just be prepared for the occasional background soundtrack of awkward giggles and lip-smacking.
Brett H — Google review
A well kept, clean park with incredible 360° views of the surrounding area; especially downtown LB, the ports and Queen Mary. Great spot for a lunch break with a view! Food truck was there when I went, but there's no guarantees there would always be one.

Nice park high above the rest of the area so you can get a good look at Long Beach, along with areas of the city like the port and even DTLA. There's a parking lot, but also street parking. Security swings by after 10 (and no parking after 10) to let people know to leave, so just keep that in mind if you're trying to head out at night.

Me and my group were seated in the last pew in the middle of the room before the aisle and were never served or asked for our order the entire time. We were seated at about 7 pm and we watched waiters serve everyone around us except us. We kept waiting until 8:45 I got fed up and asked someone walking by why we were never served. He got someone and a lady came and offered us a walk up bar as they did not know where our waiter was?????. Excuse me, after waiting so long, It was totally disrespectful to not give us the same service as everyone else. My group and everyone to the right of us in the last row never got service and were forced to sit without food or water for 2+ hours. Unacceptable and unprofessional. Horrible.

Lunell was amazing! I like this location because its bigger, but I wish they had better service. The waitress never came to us to order drinks or food.
Deven R — Google review
Awful experience. I went with my friend and showed my California State ID, a valid government-issued ID, and was still denied entry. The woman at the door, Sophia, was rude from the start and had no idea what she was talking about. I explained and even pointed out where it clearly says government issued, and she still tried to argue. When she ran out of excuses, she switched to saying I needed the physical card — even though I watched her let other people in with just pictures. The inconsistency and the way she handled it was unprofessional and embarrassing. Sophia was rude, clueless, and completely unqualified to be dealing with customers. If management thinks this is acceptable, it tells you everything you need to know about this place. Do yourself a favor and avoid it.
Kevin L — Google review
The place is nice , parking is rough if you don’t know the area . There is no appetizers or food served except on Friday nights apparently. The website does not state that . They required a reservation even though the place was mostly empty . I would only return to this location if I was attending a show that I knew who the comedian was and looking forward to see .

Whale watching tour agency
SoCal Whale Watching offers an exciting opportunity to witness marine life up close along the Southern California coast. With knowledgeable and passionate Captain Steve at the helm, visitors can expect a personalized experience with opportunities to see grey whales, dolphins, sea lions, and seals. The smaller boat allows for intimate wildlife encounters that may not be possible with larger vessels. Be sure to bring your camera, binoculars, and dress appropriately for the cooler and windier conditions on the water.
This was a high-quality tour with competent staff and good communication throughout. The boat was comfortable, and the wildlife sightings were impressive. While nature is always unpredictable, the guides used their experience to give us the best possible chance to observe animals. We felt the tour was conducted with care and responsibility. Highly recommended!

We booked to experience Whale and Dolphin watching for our anniversary. What a great time we had. Captain Matt expertly guided the boat into position so that we could get some great photos of Dolphins. ( I messed up and had camera on selfie mode) We saw Seals and Sea lions up close also. Captain Matt was very knowledgeable on what to look for on the horizon. We really enjoyed our day out on the ocean and highly recommend doing it. We'll be back!

Simply outstanding. Great crew who gave excellent explanation throughout. You really reap the benefits of being in a smaller faster boat to be able to cover distances quickly and dwell for longer when you see something. We were super lucky and got to see sealions, a couple of big pods of dophins, lots of bird life and, the highlight, a couple of humpbacks, including a coupe of full breaches and lots of kelping. Not every trip will be as lucky but I can tell that every trip would be just as dedicated to finding these magnificant mammals, with the same infectious enthusiasm for them.
Tim C — Google review
An absolutely amazing experience! Even though the whales weren’t out, we found several super pods of dolphins, which was INCREDIBLE! Having a naturalist on the boat made the experience even better! We got to learn about all the wildlife we saw and appreciate it even more. Even when there were some minor swells on the water, the captain took care to lessen their impact and ensured we had ponchos or blankets, whatever we needed. Easy to communicate with. 11/10 can’t recommend this enough!
Emily F — Google review
We absolutely loved this whale and Dolphin watching trip in a RIB. It was the last day of our holiday and finished it perfectly. I know you can't guarantee to see wild life but God really blessed us, we saw a Fin whale 3 times, motored along amidst several hundreds of common dolphins stampeding, and we were surrounded by bottle nose dolphins too at one point. Captain Steve and the Naturalist (sorry I've forgotten her name) were brilliant, they really knew how to find the whales and dolphins and were clearly very passionate about them. Just being out on the sea would have been gorgeous, but our interaction with the wild life was so special.
Shirley M — Google review
This was the most amazing whale watching trip. . The crew were incredible. They went above and beyond to ensure we had fun and actually get to see a whale. Saw a Blue Whale and so many dolphins! The experience of a lifetime!
Evelyn D — Google review
I had the BEST time with SoCal Whale Watching. Captain Steve and Jassamy were fantastic. They’d give us fun facts about the animals we saw and were very knowledgeable. Everything felt super safe and the boat was such a great way to experience things. It was a 6-8 person boat that was not at all cramped. It was very important to me to not feel cramped on a boat with so many people and not be able to see anything, so this was really perfect. It was peaceful and I didn’t feel crowded, so I could be close to the edge and see things. We didn’t see whales that day, but we did find a pod of probably a hundred dolphins, seals and sea lions, and so many birds. Even with no whales, it was still so worth it!
Emily M — Google review
Ten out of 5 stars ! The whales were not there due to weather, still the two huge groups of beautiful dolphins gave us a show! We were able to see so much wildlife and in the sea lions and birds just a gorgeous day! Jessame and Captain were incredibly informative on so much, sea life, feedings, the area and history. Can't wait to come in Nov! Best $ spent all summer. (Skip the movie and dinner ) No comparison to the huge boats filled with people. It's a magical time! Love how the respect the wildlife! See you soon stay blessed 💕

The City of Long Beach is a vibrant and diverse metropolitan area located along the California coast. It boasts numerous attractions, including the Queen Mary, Aquarium of the Pacific, museums, theaters, and a highly-rated school district. Rainbow Harbor is a modern waterfront area with commercial pleasure docks, parks, plazas, and restaurants that connect to downtown. The harbor also features historic cruise ships like the Queen Mary and offers views of massive cargo ports in Long Beach and San Pedro.
A beautiful area with a boardwalk. You can enjoy a walk here and could even cycle. There are shops, restaurants and an aquarium. There two boat services one is harbour tour and the other one is whales watching tour. Harbour tour takes 45 mins. Whales watching takes more than 2 hours.
Hans S — Google review
One of the most wonderful place in Long Beach to enjoy sunlight and beautiful landscaping, have fun with attractions, as well as try different national/authentic cuisines/dishes at cozy cafes and restaurants. There is a very long walkable distance between parking lot/public transportation stops, Harbor Pier and restaurants that may be a bit inconvenient for seniors/disabled people and/or small kids.

This Harbor is absolutely spectacular, one of the most beautiful I've seen in the States or even Europe, although I love the Neopoltain bay the most. However, this area is extremely wonderful with an awesomely built boardwalk, with music, mostly friendly folks, and lots of spectacular shops and galleries. 💜💙💜 And at nighttime the entire place is lighted by with rainbow illumination. Highly recommend 🤙🤙🤙🐬🐋🐟🦀

3 mins walk to Bluff park, Jogging and walking dogs. Stretching along the bluff above the shoreline, Bluff Park offers one of the best panoramic ocean views in Long Beach. This linear park is perfect for jogging, walking your dog, or simply sitting on a bench to watch the sunset paint the horizon. With its historic lampposts, gentle sea breezes, and a peaceful, uncluttered vibe, Bluff Park is the ideal spot for quiet reflection—or for gazing at passing sailboats and dolphins in the distance. However I guess my soul does not connect here. It’s connected more with Venice, Malibu, and Laguna. Nice though.

Colorado Lagoon, located in Long Beach, California, is a hidden gem offering a unique coastal salt marsh and estuarine habitat. This inland saltwater lagoon features small sandy beaches, making it ideal for families with young children. The park provides various amenities such as parking, restrooms, showers, and lifeguards during the season. Visitors can enjoy swimming and picnicking while taking advantage of the BBQs, grassy areas, playgrounds, and pier for jumping.
This is a hidden GEM in Long Beach, and I believe the city is doing its best to preserve the wildlife here. There’s a path about a quarter of a mile long. Flowers blossom year round which makes it a beautiful place for a nice walk with pets, family, or by yourself. People swim in the summertime mostly, but beware of the water animals…there’s a lifeguard on duty during busy season (summertime mostly). Long live the Colorado Lagoon!!! 🌸🌞🌴

It's always been one of my top 2 places to go. One it's clean, two, the lifeguards are on their JOB. I feel safe and I know my family is safe too. Three, it's in a safe area. The crowd pretty much keeps to themselves and are polite overall when spoken to. Downside, parking is metered and the meters don't give the same amount of time for the same coin. Some meters give 10 mins for every quarter, while others give 15 minutes for every quarter. Bathrooms are okay overall. Always take precautions no matter how old you are, one never knows.

Don’t feed ducks bread !! Lovely park, great for walks and decent parking. Lots of ducks, pigeons, squirrels and even some turtles. Could really use a clean up though! These ducks poop abnormally, likely due to bread feeding, almost dog like poop everywhere around the water and in the grass. Also, watch out for those brown geese, they’re aggressive to other ducks during feeding, very rude.

Its a cozy area of the beach in a bit of a bay. The water is nice. Sandy bottom on the ocean floor here . Saw fish and seal 🦭 . It's got showers on the blue strip area leading to the beach and the washrooms are for everyone they are located were the fun rental area and the playground . It's a very sandy beach and it's like a fun hood beach vibe here . I would recommend watershoes or sandals don't go barefoot even in the water too , the Californian beaches are party beaches might be broken glass and garbage around ether then that it's pretty clean here and tons of families too , it's got kids playground. Parking around, close to and its infront of downtown long Beach hotels and residential area etc and nearby public transportation . The blue strip on the beach helps with wheelchair accessible needs to get to the water 💧 here . Lots of open sand and street vendoring and places to set up beach tent etc . There is lifeguard station here too .

Visited this weekend for the Cambodia Town Film Festival. Ordered a mimosa from the concession before heading in to the showing. $10 a drink is a good price and not outrageous pricing like your commercial movie box office. So there are some things that were annoying, such as the horrendous parking situation. Parking is hard to find. Come early or come with some with a handicap placard. Accessible parking is located in the back along with a public parking lot where you can pay to park. Being an older theater, the slope isn't steep enough for a short person to read subtitles if theres a tall person or someone with hair up to high heaven sitting in front of you. I was that short person sitting behind a tall person with poofy hair. Cup holders in the theater are attached to the back of the seats, so use the one in front of you or just place your drink on the floor.

I had a great time here! The ocean is definitely different on the west coast. Even the air was less salty than the east coast beaches. I spent some time on the pier and then walked up and down the beach. It was one of the most relaxing walks. There is so much to do here. While walking along the beach , there are all kinds of exits where you can go Into the streets and shop or eat etc. Very nice place to just walk around and explore. I was able to ride scooters from one end of the city to the other all the way to the beach.

only thing this place is good for is probably fishing and seeing the ships and islands. the water was full of trash but oddly pretty clear. i pulled an entire blanket out of the water. the bathrooms are just an upscale portapotty and theres no place to rinse your feet off like every other beach ive been to. i dont know how the top review is someone saying how safe the place is. i didnt feel safe at all. there are people who live under the pier, someone had called the cops because of an altercation, and a man screaming profanities in the parking lot. maybe it just depends on the day?

No over head casting but you see plenty of people still do it. There is plenty of parking but you will need to pay. Restrooms are not the cleanest. Smells from the restroom take over the middle of the pier. Overall still one of my favorite to fish.

Just spent three days at Rainbow Lagoon Park, for the Vans Warped Tour! 🤘😝 And being completely honest, the park is so nice! Even if I didn't really get to see much of it, without the Stages set-up, the location, both by the Water & in the City was absolutely awesome! I had such an amazing & fun time!! & I am looking forward to next year!
Jeffrey R — Google review
Imagine going to the country without going to the country. Or better yet imagine going to a nature reserve right in your backyard. This is the feeling the Lagoon gives and it makes me want to go back every time. It's so peaceful yet it's the city. Just give it a try and enjoy 😁

Didn't get to ride the swan since we didn't reserved online but had a nice walk around the lake and to our surprise was a beer and taco festival. Even though we didn't go in, just a nice music beat outside the fense was good enough haha.
Gomarketingsuccess D — Google review
Not smelly. Great location next to shops, restaurants, hotel, and the mall. Swan boats make for a great date. Peaceful but a little loud right next to the main road. Plenty of parking. Great views of the hotel, mural, Grand Prix.
Griffin A — Google review
Took my best friend here for a unique experience. Much more fun than I anticipated. Very organized employees from beginning to end. The swans were fairly easy to paddle and the view at night was quaint. Though I am a bit older I felt comfortable amongst the teenagers and/or younger adults on dates, a drive inn theater of modern times. Would recommend, thank you 😊!

Nice area to see, stroll and float about! Right next to the Hyatt Hotel, it’s easily accessible from Shoreline Village, across E. Shoreline Drive. Great place to take the kids and honey’s for a little swan boat ride! It’s also enjoyable to take in along the walk around the odd shaped pond. It can be a break from convention business to throw down a blanket on the grass, have a picnic and relax in the ocean air! The small park and pond are not part of the Hyatt Hotel, contrary to its guest list, as some regular visitors here are likely listed with the Social Services Department. Here in the presence of the hotel and the Convention Center, there’s security guards and surveillance, as well as patrols of peace officers, so everybody seems to get along! There’s a boat rental office located by the north end of the Shoreline Drive pedestrian bridge.

El Dorado Park West is a sprawling green oasis that spans over 275 acres, offering a delightful escape for nature lovers and active individuals alike. Nestled conveniently at 2800 Studebaker Road, this city-operated park features an array of recreational facilities including tennis and volleyball courts, picnic areas perfect for family gatherings, and even a serene duck pond to unwind by. For sports enthusiasts, there are designated spaces for roller hockey, baseball, football, and more.
Fantastic park with two lakes, numerous rivers and lush foliage and tree canopy for 2 mile and 1 mile hikes. Enjoy the squirrels, ducks, turtles, pelicans and abundant life in this exciting land preserve. Annual passes are quite reasonable for seniors, on 35 dollars for a calendar year.
Omar M — Google review
One look at the Google Maps satellite view here, and it’s easy to see why this park is so popular with locals and visitors! Out of the huge urban sprawl of concrete and rooftops, here’s a big beautiful green spot on the map! El Dorado Park is like several parks together as one, all within easy access of the freeways! Park on the west side of the park, off Studebaker Rd for free and have access to all the amenities of the City of Long Beach side! For spur of the moment visit’s, it’s a cinch to stop by one of the many available take-out food stops nearby to gather up lunch for a picnic. Here, there’s park facilities, activities, events, open space and areas for just about all games to play! The park includes several baseball, softball and soccer fields, courts for basketball, volleyball, roller hockey, and tennis. There’s a skatepark park, also used for BMX fun! A cool, tree lined disk golf course is at the north end, a traditional golf driving range and an 18 hole course is at the south end. A portion of the traditional course continues to the northeast side. The large white pavilion or marquee tent at the south end parking lot may be rented for private functions, weddings and receptions. Overall maintenance of the park is good! Trash containers are placed around the park, so disposing of trash shouldn’t be a problem. Restrooms are available, tho may be a bit messy when the park is crowded. Busy weekends and holidays may involve early planning for the west side of the park, especially securing a parking spot and table. Street parking is also available, tho may be few and far between! Otherwise, the peace of mind toting supplies to family picnics and group gatherings may be made easier with the paid parking lots of the LA County operated Regional Park side. There’s both open and covered picnic tables, chairs and grassy spots and are usually within close reach of parked vehicles and more available picnic spots.

I went here to this place for my brother's son's wedding. they set up a beautiful tent that was about a hundred by 50 feet wide with beautiful decorations the park is mainly a large golf course with a country club they have really great restaurants with lots of food and catering and golf carts available for rent.

I'm here about 5 days a week. The weekends aren't AS fun due to all the people and their mess so I work around that and go M-F. My pup loves it and we walk both sides for a few mile walk/jog in nature.

This is A great clean skatepark. Plenty of covered viewing seating. My eight year love this skatepark, because the course isn't too Extreme. The play area is adjacent, along with the softball fields😎😎😎

Attended an after funeral morning until 2 pm reception in one of their white tents next to the golfing greens. The round tables had white table cloths on them & the room nicely decorated & private. You forgot you were inside a tent. The food buffet table was set up & there was another table with ice water, ice tea & hot coffee plus there was a bar & bartender. The tables had place settings on them with black linen napkins. The workers refilled the food buffet & saw if anything was needed. A podium was set up near the screen where the life of my friend was shown in photos. I'm sure the family also supplied the non stop old school R&B music my friend loved & perhaps the microphone. I could see this tent room used for various parties, showers & receptions.

Mother's Beach is a popular beach in Long Beach, CA with plenty of activities for kids and adults. It's a large beach with a bustling vibe and a promenade with monuments and sculptures. The water is calm, but the weather can be too cold in October to swim.
Great place to come with the little ones! No waves, clean, lots of families, lifeguard on duty and slowing people with their motor water skies to 5 miles per hour! My girls are supper happy we came here!! Weather is nice today that's a plus too!!

This was a great hidden gem! Quiet with a fun playground, we enjoyed sitting on the shore and watching people row on the water. Also have bathrooms with sinks which is always nice at a playground.

I remember this place used to be awesome, there was a plenty area to swim, but now the sand is black and stinky, there is just a little bit of space to swim. There is grass growing on the sand, specially on the edge of the water. Though, it is a really good place to have a carne asada or play in the sand. I saw homeless living or staying in the restrooms, and there is not a lot of ppl like before.
Montserrat M — Google review
It’s beautiful place but is highly contaminated water. I was researching and it keeps telling me that. Is always a lot of people at the water. I just don’t take a risk anymore because I got in and then my body started to itch a lot so I went to the doctor and he told me it was the oil of the boats. Everybody can take your own risk.

What a fun experience! A nice smooth cruise around the harbor. Relaxing. Our Capitan gave a narration of what we were seeing in the harbor. Weather was perfect. Indoor seating and outside up top (about 12 stairs to go up top) ocean breeze and a nice panoramic view. Very budget friendly. Enjoyed very Much

I recently visited Shoreline Aquatic Park in Long Beach and had a wonderful time. The park is perfect for a leisurely walk, offering scenic views of the Queen Mary, the Long Beach skyline, and the nearby Aquarium of the Pacific . The area was bustling with people enjoying the pleasant weather and vibrant atmosphere. A highlight of my visit was stumbling upon an ice cream truck, which provided a delightful treat to enjoy while taking in the surroundings. The park's open green spaces and proximity to attractions like the Lions Lighthouse make it an ideal spot for relaxation.

Always a great place to eat, shop, stroll by the “board walk” cause it is concrete shaped and colored like wood. Today we attended a great event the 50th Anniversary of Roscoe’s. Thanks for the management who provided Free Entertainment, music from two separate stages. One with a big stage and the other with a smaller stage. And of course “Free Chicken”! We hung out for fours. When we left at 6 pm and they’re still serving chicken. We hope to celebrate again with you next year!

Visited the Farmer's Market on Weds from 3-7pm. Lots of parking, but still hard to find a spot if showing up after 5pm. Not a ton of vendors tbh. Good quality fruit and tasty food available for purchase. Most people bring a blanket and some snacks, then chill on the lawn while they watch their kids run amuck. There's live music for the last hour next to the water too!

Love mother's beach. Since I found out about this lovely but very family friendly spot hidden to the eye of normal beach just beneath the bridge of the Marine Park you can find Mother's Beach. I now enjoy that I can share that excitement I still get with my 2 year old son.

This beach is NOT dog friendly. Everywhere I’ve read states the beach is dog friendly. I brought my dog here and a lifeguard approached me stating my dog needs to be a service dog to be here. Dogs are only allowed early in the morning and after 5 PM

I started going here when I was a kiddo. So many moons ago. Stopped going about 15 yrs ago because the hubby liked a different beach but came here for Mother's Day and have spent every sunny weekend there since. Not sure what the life guard says to people after running down the beach to talk to them but it's good to know they are watching. Not sure from where, but they are there. Hubby says it's pretty good sand for building sand stuff. I thought there was a place you could rent kayaks from but it appears to be gone... So my son bought one and he loves taking it there because his pregnant wife can go with him and not deal with the waves at major beach. So that's awesome. It gets just as crowded as any other public place where you can picnic and play in the water so no complaints. Have fun in the sun or relax on the grass area. Truly a great place to spend a wonderful sunny day.
