Located in the heart of Darwin city, Hilton Darwin offers modern and refined accommodation with stunning views of the Esplanade, harbor, and city. The hotel features contemporary rooms and suites suitable for both corporate and leisure travelers. Guests can enjoy amenities such as an outdoor pool, a restaurant showcasing modern Australian cuisine with bush spices, and Darwins only Executive Lounge. Following a multi-million dollar renovation, the hotel boasts a revamped lobby and reception area along with two updated food and beverage outlets.
Recently attended a 2 day conference workshop at the Darwin Hilton. great location, the food was delicious and abundance of it. Our food and beverage attendants were magnificent. They were extremely attentive, very polite and catered for all our needs - above and beyond. Day 2 attendant was Gaurav, sorry forgot the name of day 1 attendant. Both men were so helpful and happy. We felt so welcome. Well done to the staff :)

Great location in Darwin, close to everything. Lovely sea views from the upper floors. Rooms and corridors and lobby all recently refurbished. Clean and simple. Bathrooms basic but fine. Swimming pool and gym not updated recently. All in all great hotel in Darwin as a clean friendly base to explore the city.
James B — Google review
Hilton Darwin is a well-located hotel right in the heart of the city, close to shops, restaurants, and the waterfront. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with lovely views from the higher floors. Staff are friendly, professional, and always ready to help. Breakfast has a wide variety of options, and the restaurant serves quality meals. The pool and gym are well-maintained, making it easy to relax or stay active. While some areas of the hotel feel a little dated, the excellent service and central location make it a great choice for both business and leisure stays.
Shankar P — Google review
Great hotel in the centre of Darwin. I attended a conference and stayed 5 nights in total. Close to everything and excellent as a base. This is definitely the best Hilton in Darwin. (Be aware the 'other' one isnt so great...) The staff all went above and beyond. I loved the thoughtful text received shortly after I checked in from Oswaldo asking if I was happy with everything. He was incredibly helpful with a range of things, including returning everything I forgot in my room following my 4AM checkout!. The breakfasts are excellent, with the usual choices of fruit, eggs cooked to order and decent proper coffee. I paid for the harbour view room, which wasn't that much more. It was worth the extra dollars to wake up to that view each morning. Great choice at an affordable price point. Thank you Hilton anbd your staff.
Anthony S — Google review
Just a superb hotel with amazing views of the harbour. Beautiful room, very comfortable beds. A teeny problem was the doors closing in other rooms late at night woke me up. Surely a hotel like this should have doors that close slowly and quietly. The guest across from us always came in late like 1am, banged their door and woke me up and then had the privacy sign on the door handle all day. Guessing they're staff - manager. Please close your door quietly!

This was my second hotel in Darwin and I enjoyed it more than the Mercure. The hotel is old but it’s been refreshed and looks ok. Room was very spacious and had a nice view. The lifts are slow. Location is good, very central. Overall, pretty happy staying here.
Vincent B — Google review
I had a long stay with Darwin Hilton on Mitchell street, service overall was good. Eating at the restaurant can be a little expensive, if your staying for an extensive stay. Food is excellent, enjoyed breakfast when i could, great variety and will cook what you want. Rooms are well presented and I was happy with my stay.
Frances C — Google review
As a Hilton Diamond member, I was really underwhelmed with this stay. No upgrade, just a standard room next to the lift with a lousy view. Nothing about the service stood out as going above and beyond. Check-in set the tone — total chaos, like walking into a Dance Moms convention with Honey Boo Boo and JonBenét Ramsey lookalikes running wild. Not exactly the calm welcome you’d expect from a Hilton. The pool is in serious need of a revamp (see photos) — tired, small, and not at all what you’d expect from a Hilton charging premium rates. By contrast, I’d just spent three nights at the DoubleTree for half the price and had a far better experience. The worst part was departure day. With a late-night flight, I asked if I could use the lounge to refresh or send emails after a day trip to Litchfield. At every other Hilton I’ve stayed at, this has been a simple yes. Here, it was a hard no. I ended up going back to the DoubleTree, where they were far more accommodating (and frankly kinder). The one highlight was Gabriel in the lounge — genuinely excellent service, and he makes a fantastic whiskey sour. A small bright spot in an otherwise disappointing stay. Breakfast itself was good, but honestly, not enough to outweigh the rest. Overall: not worth it. Skip Hilton and book the DoubleTree — friendlier staff, better value, and a much more enjoyable stay.

Vibe Hotel Darwin Waterfront is a modern and laid-back property centrally located in Darwin, offering streamlined rooms with sea views. The hotel features an outdoor pool, fitness center, and a modern cafe/bar. It overlooks the waterfront and is within walking distance to the Deckchair Cinema. The colorful interiors are eclectic, and guests can enjoy unique decor in each room. Additionally, the hotel boasts a wave pool, fitness center, and spa for guests' convenience.
The location was amazing and the room was really nice. I didn't have a balcony room but it was light, spacious, clean, quiet and cool. Loved the indoor/outdoor pool and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I read some negative reviews but I would absolutely stay here again.
Carole D — Google review
The vibe Darwin is located right on the waterfront next to the wave pool and the bouncy castle on the water, making it a perfect place to swim safely in Darwin. Our room was extremely clean, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The real feature of this hotel is the top notch breakfast, which had an enormous selection of food including a robot pancake machine. With food in Australia being so pricey the included breakfast was a huge bonus. If I were to brave the fearsome humidity of Darwin I would absolutely choose this hotel again. I will say that the charge for laundry seemed a bit excessive , each wash and dry load cost 4 bucks and we had to do the dryer twice so a single load of laundry was 12 dollars plus three for detergent.
Ruthless M — Google review
Hotel that requires a lot of attention. Bath towels have holes, no pricelist for the mini bar, kettle in room would not turn off after boiling (safety issues) & mould in the room. Staff in the breakfast area were lovely & breakfast was the best thing about my stay. Please attend to things listed above at your earliest convenience. Bed was comfortable. Happy about that too. So, bed & breakfast stand out.

I booked a package holiday with a reputable company that concluded with the 3 nights in Darwin. The holiday up to this point was filled with 1st class service and experiences. Then we got to the vibe hotel. On the positive side, the location is great and the breakfast nice. That’s about it though. On check in, I asked about a late check out (our flights leave late at night) and the immediate response was it’s $30 per hour and they would not recommend it. I asked if there was a room or shower we can use to freshen up and get changed before we leave, I was told we could pay for another night. We are welcome to use the outdoor shower by the hotel pool, which is not really practical, and we can use the disabled toilets to get changed. Some other really simple things to fix, offer to take guests luggage to their rooms (our room is approx. 250m from reception). I cannot remember the last time I stayed at a hotel and there was no complimentary water and/or a bottle and a note asking guests to refill from the tap. The staff are friendly and pleasant when you ask about this, however, they seem to have accepted that the standard is what is and they cannot help. Has this ruined our holiday? Absolutely not. It’s the little things that make the difference though, and my perception is that they have given up at the vibe hotel so I will avoid the chain in future.
Julian C — Google review
We stayed at vibe the past two nights . Location is awesome . The room was basic , not a balcony room . We rearranged the furniture to at least enjoy the view . There was no where to be able to hang out swimmers etc . The room had not be been attended . When we enquired they said they only will do the room , towels and make the bed if you stay 4 nights 😳. We chased the trolley down to be able to at least have clean dry towels . The drying hooks on the bathroom door were not even able to hold a towel . Subsequently our bins were not changed . Don’t expect any room cleaning at all ! Staff seemed to be quite ambivalent to normal requests . No hanging signs for you door ( do not disturb) . Shower was in the bath tub . Parking is an extra 20 bucks a day if you can fit in the car park height wise . Wouldn’t normally complain about these things but when you pay a premium you expect a premium service . At least having the room serviced .

Well this is a great Hotel. Certainly got the "VIBE" Excellent for everybody. Singles, couples and families. Plenty eateries in and around the precinct of the hotel and a 12 minute walk to Wharf 6 with more eateries. Another 15 minute walk and your into the shopping area for Coles and the likes. Top spot. 👍
Phil L — Google review
The Vibe Hotel in Darwin offers nice rooms, but the true highlight is its fantastic location. While the building and rooms show their age, the views from my room were awesome. However, the bathroom could use some attention, as it’s starting to show signs of wear and could benefit from a thorough cleaning and refresh. What really sets this Vibe apart is its superb location. With a variety of dining and drinking options along the covered esplanade just below, it’s easy to unwind and enjoy the atmosphere. Plus, water sports are conveniently accessible, with a wave pool and water park right at the back door. The hotel is also just a short 10-minute walk from the CBD, making it a great base for exploring the area.
Stephen P — Google review
We recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately our experience was far below expectations. Overall I would rate this hotel as appalling. The cleanliness of the room was certainly not up to standard, the bathroom was unpleasant and we certainly didn't sit on the couch. The carpeted corridors (filthy), the dirty walls, the damp smell in the corridors and rooms - nothing even vaguely met cleanliness expectations. In addition to which, Reception staff were surly and quietly mocked our verbal feedback. The only thing in this hotels favour is it's location.

The hotel follows strict sanitation and safety procedures to ensure guests' peace of mind during their stay. Had a great stay for 4 nights. Central location with friendly staff and great services. Restaurant available at the groujd floor. There are gym, laundry and pool facilities within the hotel. You can witness some amazing views from the rooms.
Subin D — Google review
Booked for three nights. Room was big enough and the view was good. However, I gave it 2 stars due to the terrible service provided by the Indian lady with super strong accent at the reception - I booked a room with a large bed, and when she checked me in, I confirmed with her that I booked for a LARGE BED, but when I got into the room, it was a room with two single beds. Btw there was no housekeeping during my entire stay.
Lily — Google review
Great water view can watch the boats go by. Room is nice bed is very comfortable. Nice little kitchen area with a large fridge, microwave, small oven/griller. Washing machine and dryer too. Coffee nespresso machine with 6 coffees to start and other normal coffee and tea sachets. Shower is reasonable size.
K L — Google review
It's not a new hotel but it's been maintained well. The apartment which we stayed for 4 nights is clean, beds are comfortable, kitchen is fully equipped. I'm so grateful for their impressive customer service - we had to check-out in the morning before we headed to the last day of the conference, then we had to get changed to attend the gala dinner. The staff were so helpful and hospitable to let us use the shower at the pool area in the afternoon & loaned us towels so we can get ready for the gala. As a comparison, our friend who stayed at The Hilton was told that she could get changed in the toilet. The impeccable service did not come from a specific staff; it came from ALL of the staff - it's like they have been trained to extend caring gestures which is a privilege these days, so thank you so much to all the staff at Oaks Elan Darwin!! PS: if you have any question prior to your stay, don't email, just call them.

Stayed for two nights in October. I cannot believe this is a 4 star hotel! There was an absolutely awful musty smell in my room..the hall ways have stone floors and noisy. The best place is the restaurant in this hotel. I wouldn't stay here again.
Ann S — Google review
We had a two bedroom Harbour View apartment. Check-in took a while - I would say a good 10 minutes from arrival to being greeted/served at reception. They gave us all a bottle of complimentary water. The pool was really cold and unbearable. Of course, it's dry season, so I should've expected that, but the steps leading into the pool were very slippery. I couldn't work out if it was the finish of the stairs or if it was mould build up. Despite there being a rail, I couldn't help but think how an older person may go getting in and out of the pool. When we walked into the apartment, there was a very strong mouldy smell. I'm not sure if the apartment above has a water leak, but each time we walked out and came back in the apartment, had the same strong mouldy smell. The beds were extremely comfortable to sleep in with nice pillows, in saying this I did notice that when lifting the quilt and flat sheet up that there was quite a lot of hair all over the mattress, indicating the sheets were not clean. One bedroom fan was working as it should, and the other bedroom fan was on its way out. It was running very slow with minimal airflow. The shower gets luke warm and doesn't get hot . I feel like Oaks Darwin has really gone downhill to when I first stayed there not long after it was built. The outside windows were also pretty filthy. It's not what I was expecting for the price we paid. The lift also had a number of issues where our room cards struggled to register to be able to select our floor. I don't think I'll be likely to stay here again, unfortunately.
Lesty 8 — Google review
We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and arrived to be given a single hotel room for 6 nights. They offered to open up an adjoining door to make it 2 hotel rooms but not what we booked. Took a very long time for them to give us the room we booked and paid for with a lot of arguing it was the same as a 2 bedroom apartment- it was not! Our correct unit was a lot bigger had a laundry etc. it felt pretty scammy to basically lie to me and say this is what we booked. We also ordered a breakfast pack which wasn’t in the room and that became an issue because they had no small cereal packs and gave us a box of Just Right which we advised was not what was ordered and not what we would eat and could they replace it with another option to be told no - twice until the third time I went and saw the restaurant manager who gave me a different cereal. So simple yet so difficult seemingly for them to do! They also never credited the stay against my membership despite saying they did! Also the pool has no sunlight on it and the water is freezing even on 30 degree days! Would not stay again!

Mindil Beach Casino Resort is a luxurious accommodation option in Darwin, offering over 150 rooms for both leisure and business travelers. The resort features a bustling casino, multiple restaurants, bars, and pools, as well as a day spa. Situated on 30 acres of tropical gardens by the Arafura Sea, it provides stunning sunset views over Mindil Beach. Guests can enjoy gambling at the casino until the early hours and then relax on the private white-sand beach in the morning.
My partner & I had a wonderful time at the Casino resort. It was the staff who truly made our experience relaxing and care free. The staff were extremely friendly and happy to do all the little things that make our stay carefree. It was such a treat to order room service & enjoy the view. Our ocean view room had a beautiful view of the sunset too. It was also quiet in the rooms & felt like our own little oasis!

The hotel itself and room was really well placed, incredible view of Mindil Beach😍. They did not properly clean the bath tub after the last guests, so that was not great to discover. A quick sweep/vaccuum of the room while they serviced the room would not have gone amiss either. Brought it up and they were very gracious. Everything else was amazing. Made a point to swim in either of their epic swimming pools when i could. Would stay here again.

Stayed for 5 nights. The room is never made up before 330pm - "there aren't enough staff" was the excuse The key to my room didn't work - after dinner. waited and waited. went back to reception and finally one of the managers came to "change the battery" in the door and told me it wasn't his problem he was just one of the "workers" it s great location but a 2 star hotel at best would recommend staying up in the CBD along the esplanade

I booked a lagoon pool access room through a Booking agent but they selected the wrong room so I went straight to the hotel reception to advise them it was wrong room, called the booking agent and they paid the extra as a room was vacant in a balcony lagoon view room for my stay unfortunately pool access all booked out - also side note book through mindil beach direct website to ensure you get the correct room, the hotel reception gave me 2 free drinks vouchers to apologise for the error. The reception, pool, cleaning and room service staff were all amazing and my room was beautiful couldn’t fault it definitely if you go, spend the extra for a lagoon room. Food and drinks were reasonable priced and the pools both infinity and lagoon pool beautiful - relaxing, definitely also book at the lagoon day spa treatment was amazing.

Despite its promise, we found most things about this hotel disappointing. As an older building, the rooms are echoey, and with tiles rather than carpets, it is very difficult not to hear your neighbours. Whilst some noise is to be expected, hearing your neighbours snore suggests the soundproofing is inadequate. It probably did not help that we were put in an interconnected room, with a single door separating us from our neighbours. I will never understand why hotels don’t separate guests by one room when they have the opportunity to do so! As the hotel is part of the casino complex which is open until 4am, noise is a constant and is not conducive to a good night’s sleep! On the positive front, the facilities at this hotel are excellent. The lagoon resort pool is open to hotel guests and this was the highlight of our stay. It has the only swim up bar in Darwin (apparently) and a beach area which is great for some down time. Unfortunately, the other hotel pool is open to the public at weekends and takes on a Bali beach club vibe with a resident DJ. Other things of note are that the food we had in the sports bar of the casino was not up to Darwin’s usual culinary standards, and the plumbing could do with some attention (the least we should expect is a functioning flush for the toilet!!!!). Overall, this hotel promised so much but was ultimately disappointing, especially having stayed at the Vibe/Adina at the Waterfront earlier in the week for a much better price and experience.

Thank you to all the lovely staff for the best holiday ever We stayed in the resort lagoon king room and it was pure magic. Food at the Vue was great . Do yourself a favour and book this holiday. I don't understand the low reviews. Breakfast included was fabulous. Staff so friendly and welcoming. We will be back. !

Spacious and clean room to stay for the weekend. Heaps of complimentary as territorians. Extra complimentary to celebrate my partner's birthday. It's worth the price and the facility. Thank you mindil resort! ♥️

Date of event: 9/10/2025 My partner and I entered the building and headed to the reception to enquire where the pool entrance was. Before the lady on reception could respond to me, the security woman stood outside the casino door came over in a very rude manor to tell me I couldn’t be here “like this” and needed to get a tshirt on. (For reference I was wearing shorts, crocs, a bikini top and towel around my shoulder)she kept repeating over and over in a tone that I needed to get a top on. (All whilst I was getting my top on). The receptionist apologised for her behaviour, and directed us to the pool. As the receptionist was explaining the details of the pool, the security guard (Marina I think her name was) was still stood behind me rabbiting on to her colleague “she can’t come in like that”. I turned around to say “why are you still going on, I’ve put my tshirt on and there was no signage to state I couldn’t be at reception without a top on I was simply asking for directions”. She was in a huff and puff and continued to have a tone. I explained it’s a good job we wasn’t looking to book a night here as the first interaction was terrible!!!! Not what you expect for such a high end resort. That’s no way to treat guests. Props to the receptionist, she was fully capable of doing her job without the security guard coming over. On the other hand, the pool was great

A top place to stay in Darwin. Nice rooms, great views, very clean and well maintained. Roof top bar is a great spot for an evening. Overall though, what was outstanding was the staff. Without exception, they were all friendly, professional, incredibly helpful as I changed my stay dates etc. I spent a couple of weeks there this time around. It was faultless

Very happy with our stay and the service. Was surprised to receive complementary beverage on arrival (not just water!) AND we received a drink voucher each for the roof top bar. Plus parking is free. All this on top of a well priced room makes it feel very very good value for money. Roof top bar is awesome, best one in Darwin.

I was here for an extended stay in late 2024 and early 2025. The studio style room was great for me, I had the disabled room so had a decent sized bathroom which was great. It also came with a table, desk and couch with a tiny TV. Housekeeping was okay, but sometimes they would leave my fresh towels on the stove... 😞😜 The room itself was fine, clean and did the job. It had a great view of the harbour. The hotel lifts at times could take forever, which was annoying when you had to leave for work! The breakfast offered by the hotel is a shocker, the meals are not cooked to order. Instead they are just re-heated. The portions are small and overall it is disappointing. The coffee was great and they would wanna be for $7 a mug! The gym needs a mega facelift, most of my colleagues signed up for gym memberships elsewhere during their stay, it was that bad. The pool is great, not that I used it but it looked awesome from the balcony, especially at night. Car parking is free - on the weekends it can be a challenge to find a car park. Wyndham Diamond Member inclusions were limited. Some of my other colleagues received 1 bedroom apartments who were not members, so I would say that Wyndham Diamond members do not get their benefits at this hotel. Free snacks every night on the rooftop bar which was a great inclusion. Tap beer prices were a bit excessive in comparison to other venues in the area. Great views especially during sunset and when storms are rolling in. They never had the AFL/NRL live on the TV, we always had to request it. Brett and Peter (I think its Peter?) the night managers are great ambassadors for the Ramada brand and your hotel. 10-minute walk to city centre or use one of the scooters that are available at reception, there is a cost and is activated by the app on your phone. I would stay here again. If the breakfast improved it would be one of the leading hotels in Darwin and it should be operating under the Ramada banner.

Great place, clean room, nice view, and the pool’s awesome. Had breakfast at the cafe, food was good and service was great. Big shoutout to Nadia, she was super friendly and really made the morning better. Would stay here again for sure.
Jonis R — Google review
Had a savoury mince for breakfast, way too spicy and I couldn't eat it, when the staff noticed, immediately offered another breakfast and apologised, Nadia was very professional and quickly gave me another breakfast. Impressed by this exceptional service and how they look after their customers. Highly recommend this place for a Darwin stay.

We enjoyed staying here. Appartment had kitchen and washing machine and large balcony. Great rooftop bar with 360deg views. Great staff and hospitality. Definitely recommend!

Nestled in the heart of Darwin's Central Business District, Darwin City Hotel offers a casual and comfortable stay for families and travelers. The hotel features a range of relaxed rooms and apartments, some with kitchens and balconies offering city views. Guests can enjoy the outdoor pool and spa services, perfect for unwinding after exploring nearby attractions like Crocosaurus Cove and the Darwin Entertainment Centre. The smoke-free property provides modern amenities including free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and dedicated work desks for convenience.
Darwin City Hotel is a small compact hotel right in the middle of the CBD but far away enough from the main entertainment area of Darwin so you have a nice comfortable sleep. There is a narrow but refreshing lap pool to the rear of the hotel and all the modern offerings can be found in the hotel room. A late night Woolies is close by should you need to stock up and everything is within walking distance from the hotel.

The staff who worked here were helpful and friendly. The room was good but I wish it didn't have 3 beds as I just booked for one person. Very convenient location close to everything. However bring you ear plugs as the nightclubs near by make lots of noise Wednesday to Sunday nights!
Simone S — Google review
Service could be better. Very little room service for the 6 days stayed ..using the same towels as when I arrived. Would not give out change for using their dryer. Other than that pool is lovely and the hotel very clean. The location however is the best aspect.
Anthony W — Google review
Room itself was good and clean. What I had expected - value for money. But there was a lot of noise overnight inside the hotel. Room door was not well sealed and thus I heard people walking along corridor, noises which may have been sewer pipes or something else at 2am, 4am. Not good for light sleepers or bring good ear plugs. Window shutters to outside very good for noise and tropical sunlight. No outside traffic noise was noted all night. Good service at reception. We stayed 2 nights so room did not need servicing. Centrally located - it was why I chose this hotel. Easy to walk everywhere - to many food options, shops, Mindil Beach. There is even eating option downstairs called Makan Stop. Had Asian breakfast there.

Rooms were good, showers were useless.. very noisy from other guests staying in rooms next door. Shutters are a brilliant idea on the windows. Toilets could've been cleaner.. a good stone throw from the main street.

My wife and I arrived at the Darwin City Hotel at the end of a cruise from Broome to Darwin in July. The hotel is situated in the centre of Darwin within easy walking distance of shops, parks, beaches and restaurants. Hotel staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, affording us an early check-in at no extra cost and managed to book us in for an extra day. Our suite on level 2 was sparkling clean and comfortable with a large TV, plenty of drawer and wardrobe space, a fridge and an excellent shower in the bathroom. Double glazing and electric shutters meant that the room was quiet 24/7. A lap pool on the ground floor was great for cooling off!
Peter O — Google review
Convenient location in walking distance to shops, restaurants and supermarkets. Quiet rooms and comfortable. Additional cost for on site secure parking of $15 per day. Does not have any onsite options for breakfast or dinner but cafes close by.
Dave R — Google review
Room was disgusting. Cleaners’s swept all the junk from previous guests under my bed. Used underwear, condoms, trash, deodorant cans, glasses etc etc. Was so loud with people in rooms next door getting drunk till 5am & having prostitution sessions. Never again. They tried shutting me up with a free bottle of wine. 🤮

Our first family trip to Darwin and it was amazing. Our apartment was perfect. Clean, tidy, comfortable and super modern. Car hire is available with the room with a carpark underground so no need to worry about getting around. Access to the waterfront was ideal and it was only a short stroll or drive to the town centre. View from the room was amazing. We will be back!!!

Great 2 bed apartment with absolutely everything you need. We were so lucky to get a rate with a car. God send! Owners are very friendly and accommodated us with our small children. Extremely convenient location especially for families. Great restaurants nearby. Amazing water views from our balcony. So relaxing and kids loved watching the huge boats sail in. Can't wait to come back! Thank you!!

We stayed in Apartment 352 commencing 7 July and it was wonderful. If I could add an extra star across all areas I would. We were a family of six. The apartment is spacious so we were never in each other's way. It was fantastic to find some essentials for cooking and washing provided including olive oil in the kitchen and washing liquid in the laundry. The views of Darwin Harbour are amazing providing entertainment in itself. It is almost a non existent walk to so many restaurants and the waterfront beach and wave pool. We absolutely recommend this accommodation.
Charlie G — Google review
The view was truly breathtaking, offering a full panorama of the ocean and its surroundings. The apartment itself was delightful, immaculately clean, and well-organized, with a layout that we absolutely loved. We were pleased to find floaties, pool noodles, and beach towels available, which made our swims in the water below even more enjoyable. Additionally, the location was perfect, being in close proximity to restaurants and bars, making it a fantastic spot overall!

As a Darwin local this worked out great for a staycation, kids had a ball at the water front. units in prime location for food and drinks, nice place to head back to and relax after a day in the sun and water. Couldn't thank the Darwin waterfront Luxury Suites team enough.

We can’t recommend this place highly enough. It was perfect. Communication was excellent. The apartment was perfect. We were able to spend a lot of time in the outdoor area admiring the great view because of the ceiling fans. Location was excellent. The apartment was well supplied including good olive oil for cooking and BBQ which was really appreciated. The use of 5he car was an ADDED bonus. We will be back. Thank you. Joan

I stayed here just over a week with my brother for a business/leisure trip. The 2 bedroom apartment we had was well appointed and clean and very plush. The views of the harbour were lovely to wake up to. We were looked after well during our stay. The communication was great. We were given a courtesy car to us during our stay which was awesome as Darwin is pretty hot and difficult to commute via foot if you are easily overheated. We went to Litchfield national Park for one of our sightseeing days. The location is on the waterfront. Close to the convention centre, finger Wharf, restaurants, swimming pools, shops, and cafes. Walking distance into the town. Would stay again, thanks!

Mercure Darwin Airport Resort is a convenient and comfortable accommodation option located just 300 meters from Darwin Airport. The resort offers a variety of rooms, suites, and bungalows set in lush tropical surroundings. With amenities such as an outdoor pool and an airy restaurant, it provides a relaxing start or endpoint for travelers exploring the Northern Territory. The 24-hour airport shuttle service ensures quick access to the resort upon arrival.
We walked right to the hotel from the airport. Amazing, comfy bed. Perfect after you have just caught a flight. We were treated to a wonderful buffet breakfast by the pool in the morning. Will be back!

The recently renovated lobby / pool is AMAZING! The room was large, however in need of refreshing. The bed needs replacing soon, and the shower could have mould removed or be re-grouted to remove the stains. There were also baby cockroaches in the bathroom every time I went in there. No soundproofing in the room- I could hear my neighbours talking as if they were in my room, and then entering / exiting their room sounded like they were opening my door. The rooms are a fair distance to walk from the lobby, however they dropped me to my room on a golf cart upon checkin, unsure if they offer the same service for check out.
Peta — Google review
I love staying here because it's Short walk from the airport. I absolutely loved the new pool and buffet breakfast! Great place to start any Darwin adventure! Unfortunately my room was a bit smelly and I found half eaten burger and fries in the dresser drawer 😫
Vinyl G — Google review
Positives: - Room was clean - Pool and outdoor facilities are beautiful - Location is convenient, close to airport and easy to get a taxi - Free shuttle bus to airport Negatives: - Unsafe, there are random drunk people screaming. There were police onsite several times during my trip - Room was very basic for the price. The bathroom was substandard - Staff are not welcoming - Overpriced for the quality Overall I wouldn’t stay here again if I had another choice
Vincent B — Google review
Pool = Amazing - though quite cool in the dry season. New lobby area beautiful. Location so easy to get to from airport and then to travel around from. The negative would be the service. Despite classing themselves as a resort and having a huge pool area, there was no service for food or drink to the pool, you have to walk all the way to the main lobby bar and await the slow service, then go back and get your food when your buzzer goes off, it can be a 50-100m walk given the length of the pool, wastes heaps of time, so this was really disappointing. On top of that, we felt the morning breakfast in the Mercure was usually cold, cramped and busy and the general service from the workers was just quite grumpy and non hospitable. There was one really nice waitress who stood out massively. The rooms in the Mercure were quite old, but they did the job, and you do NOT notice any airport noise, the only thing we had was a few FA-18s fly around one day which was pretty cool, but the airport location isn't a concern at all.
Bradley C — Google review
Firstly we booked a travel cot, landed at 10pm and unfortunately as I expected the travel cot was not in the room set up as it should have been. This was frustrating given how late it was. Secondly we booked a late check out to 6pm the next day. We got locked out of our room around 1pm and couldn't contact anyone to let us in. We needed to shower and get ready for our flight and we had to wait outside for about 20mins until someone let us in. No apologies from staff. He just said you are supposed to re do your key card in the morning so this doesn't happen. That's all well and good but no one told us this. I'd expect a refund given the price you pay to have such inconvenient mistakes.
Melissa J — Google review
We stayed in the pool suite and it was just fantastic. Clean, spacious, and a private pool. Of course there is airport noise but it's not that loud. The main outdoor pool is spectacular and there is also another pool that is inside the mecure hotel. Also it is a very easy walk from the airport to the hotel if you don't need the complimentary shuttle. It was a maximum of 5 minutes and you can check in at the desk near the pool and cafe or at the mecure desk. Mecure/novotel and ibis can all be checked in at the same place. From the reviews I was concerned but our experience couldn't have been better.
Clare R — Google review
Such a beautiful resort! The villa was incredible; the pools are great and the proximity to the airport is awesome. Service is something that could be improved: a friendly smile goes a long way. Our room wasn't ready 3 hours after check-in. The positives were the pirvate pool, the food, and location.

Mantra Pandanas Darwin is a high-rise hotel that offers a mix of hotel services and apartment space. It provides various room options, including suites and apartments, along with amenities such as a restaurant, bar, outdoor pool, spa, and gym. The hotel's modern decor and sleek vibes make it an attractive choice for visitors. Conveniently located in the CBD near popular attractions like Smith Street Mall and the Mitchell Street Restaurant Precinct, it also boasts sweeping views of the city and harbor.
Right in the heart of the city, walking distance to e everything you need - supermarket, post office, great little cafes, the mall. It's clean, neat and tidy. The elevators work nicely and the rooms are cosy - we have stayed here a few times over the years and tried a few different rooms, so far they have all come with washing machines and driers and kitchenettes with fridge and microwave. There is secure parking on site (extra charge).
Bernice M — Google review
Average and very basic hotel. We had a deluxe suit on level 17. Views if all the roof tops. Comfortable, but definitely nothing fancy. Pool is poor. 2 Loungers for the entire hotel and the pool is very old and dated. Infinity area overlooking dirty rooftops. Fitness area advertised is non existent. Some of the reception staff are quite rude, however, most are helpful.
Louise C — Google review
Rooms well appointed and the staff are friend helpful. WiFi is mediocre. Having to retrieve a towel from 1st floor reception for the sixth floor pool is a pain. The state of the gym here is appalling. The treadmill makes unholy noises, specifically when used and the stationary bike is in such disrepair that if it was my car I would pull over get out and set it on fire. No mirrors, no water, and I would consider some of the equipment to be simply unsafe. There clearly not been a lick of maintenance here in years and is a simply depressing room to be in. Not great vibe for a room with a lot of high attachment points.

Had a great time staying at this hotel. My room was clean, and I stayed for two nights. The staff were all helpful especially Marisa, who assisted with my booking. She was very friendly and made everything easy. Definitely coming back again!

Friendly front of house staff, very clean and well appointed room, lovely pool, good location. No complaints at all :)

We are gold members however, I requested an early check in which didn’t happen but we are entitled to. There were no instructions regarding the internet. I had to ring reception. No instruction on how to operate the TV, that was trial and error. Also as gold members we did not receive our welcoming drink. This lifts smell as do the halls. The carpet needs to be replaced. We use Accor frequently and I would have to say this is the worst Accor hotel we have been in and that includes overseas. Will not recommend this hotel or stay here again. Accordingly you need to address this hotel.

An all round great stay, great value for a lovely room, and with breakfast included! I was very pleasantly surprised to see gluten-free bread and cereal! Also, the coffee was delicious. Any staff member we encountered was kind, friendly and professional. Location is great for us as it was about a 10 min walk from Mitchell street. Which can be very busy and loud in dry season, we wanted to relax and be able to sleep, which we did. Didn’t use the pool / gym facilities but it looked nice and clean. Darwin was the last bit of our Australian holidays, but if we do ever come back to Darwin, we’d definitely stay at the Argus again. Thank you!

GOOD PLACE TO STAY First time in Darwin and I lucked out with this hotel. I stayed for seven nights and was very happy with everything, although I did move rooms as I found standing in the bath to shower too slippery. The price was amazing and included continental breakfast. The plunge pool was a nice luxury. The rooms were large and comfortable: walk-in shower, dry bar with good sized fridge, glasses and cups, work desk and balcony. It seems to be a long-stay kind of place, but the lack of kitchen sink and microwave/hotplate would limit that for me (however, you can use the communal microwave in the breakfast room). The king bed was very comfortable and the pillows and towels were fine. Wifi was included and undercover parking was available for a fee. Walking to the city centre took about 15 minutes, but there were restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Receptionists were helpful and welcoming.

If it is CBD then within walking distance.. great location. Quiet area. Clean spacious room. Self serve light breakfast, two Steps up from backpacker but similar concept. Friendly helpful staff. Noisy dehumidifier in room which they cannot turn off. Sounds like a Darwin problem not just this place. Would come again. Good value.

This is my go to hotel in Darwin. I have stayed here for work and leisure. The rooms are comfortable and clean. There is also a cheap continental breakfast available. This hotel offers very good value. The location is not right in the heart of Darwin CBD but within a pleasant walking distance. The rooms are fresh and recently renovated and the separate living room and bedroom both with balconies are spacious. Very friendly staff from check to check out and also the breakfast room lady who gave service with a smile all the while. Enjoyable continental breakfast with plenty of choices of bread, cereal, contiments etc. Would stay here again. Made a great holiday even better. A most pleasant 5 night stay.

Rydges Darwin Central is a contemporary hotel located in the heart of Darwin, offering streamlined rooms with minibars and free Wi-Fi. The exterior of the hotel is extraordinary and modern, making it a desirable base for exploring nearby attractions or enjoying the myriad bars and cafes. The elegantly furnished rooms and suites feature spacious bathrooms with luxury amenities. Guests can enjoy a restaurant, cafe, room service, outdoor plunge pool, mini food court with Indonesian cuisine, valet parking, and a delicious buffet breakfast.
Darwin Central seems to be a survivor of an ambitious vision from 20 years ago to bring modernity, luxury, style and sophistication to the Darwin CBD. The hotel is still very comfortable. The rooms well appointed, large and cared for. Crisp linen and modern decor. The hotel itself though no longer has its own restaurant and bar. Both shuttered up but visible as It is they hold a commanding position over the central atrium, reminding visitors of what once was. Many of the shops including what we're high end luxury goods and jewellery stores are also long closed, adding to that feeling of decline. All that in perspective, the hotel is well positioned in the heart of Darwin's restaurant and bar district, just a block away from the magnificent Esplanade overlooking the Arafura Sea.

I recently stayed here with my mum, There was so much false advertising for this hotel and we were very disappointed, There is no bar or restaurant attached when we booked we were under the impression that there would be a buffet breakfast available at the restaurant and bar attached to the hotel, they aren't open so instead we where given 3 options a day at a local cafe down stairs and around the corner, while it was nice after 9 days it got boring and we weren't allowed to use the vouchers for any other meals so we ended up loosing money and giving them to the staff at the Rydges to use. We had to pay an extra $29 per night for car parking, the card details were taken upon check in and since leaving we keep receiving phone calls about payment when it has already been paid for! It shouldn't cost any extra to park as it is. The pool is very small and doesn't look at all like the photos online. The shower didn't drain properly so had to stand in about an inch of water during a shower and no body wash was in the container. The beds were really uncomfortable and my back was killing me the whole time we stayed there. There isn't even a microwave available to use in the room. No cutlery to make anything we had to buy plastic knives and forks. When they clean your room they don't clean the room properly. We had to ask for extra toilet paper after they had already been. Overall very disappointed in our stay and the general consensus with other people I spoke to staying there felt similarly. I wouldn't recommend staying here the city was really dead apart from on the weekends.

Staff is polite and cooperative. Clean facilities. Building, rooms and lobby are old and not modern. I chose room with kitchenette. Onsite parking available at a cost. Location is excellent in Darwin CBD. Its categorised as 4 star hotel but old style building, room and furniture speaks otherwise. Overall stay was fine and had no major issues.
Mohammad K — Google review
What’s good: the location. that’s it. The service was non-existent. You have to self check in and check out via a little computer. I mean.. it’s supposed to be a 4 stars hotel ??? I booked by mistake 2 rooms and explained the situation several times to the guys at the reception and absolutely no effort was made to help me get a refund. I really felt like I was bothering them even though I was very calm and nice… that’s a shame. :( all they could say was: “it’s our policy” The room was very basic and the shower was terrible with very very low water flow. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Go to Cavenagh Hotel instead! It’s cheaper and the people are really nice there !!!
Naomi T — Google review
Had an unpleasant experience during my stay. While I was quietly sitting in the lobby, a staff member came over and told me to "sit properly" because of their "new furniture." I wasn't doing anything wrong or causing damage-just sitting comfortably. He said, "Mate, can you sit properly please?" The tone was unnecessarily condescending, and the use of "mate" felt patronizing since I'm not his buddy. On top of that, it was obvious he treated other guests differently. Honestly, the staff at the McDonald's next door are more courteous. As a paying guest, I expect basic respect and common courtesy. Being singled out over something so trivial made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome-definitely not the treatment I expect from a hotel. The rooms were clean, and most of the staff I interacted with were polite and friendly, but this one incident really ruined my stay.
Reissuv R — Google review
We accidentally made a double booking at this hotel and realized it only when checking in. We immediately explained the situation and asked to cancel one of the two rooms. The second room was never used, and not prepaid. A staff member told us the hotel was fully booked and refused the cancellation. However, this was clearly a lie — we checked online and found multiple room types still available for the same dates. We contacted them twice, politely asking for a goodwill cancellation, but they completely refused — hiding behind policy instead of showing any understanding or flexibility. In the end, they charged us for a room we didn’t use for even one minute. This was not just inflexible — it was deliberately dishonest. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. If you expect honesty and even basic customer service, I recommend you stay far away from this hotel. One of the worst experiences I’ve had in years of traveling.
Antoine J — Google review

Location was really good as it was centre of CBD. Hotel is tired and ordinary. Our kitchenette had 25 year old bench tops and just a microwave. Housekeeping was a bit haphazard filling tea/coffee and did not supply wash cloths. Room was good size. We signed up and did not get any discounts and staff were not helpful. Suggested we use the card readers to checkout. We received several emails to pay in advance and checked if they were scams.

With 114 clean and classic rooms, it provides excellent value accommodation right on the waterfront with its own private mini beach.
Our go to place ever we are staying in Darwin. The waterfront has so much to offer tourists with everything in walking distance even if you want to go up to Darwin city itself. Apartments are big & have all the things you need, including a washing machine, dryer, kitchenette, large fridge & balcony. Has in room dining options through curves, on site pool has access to a bar for food & drinks, 2 min walk to the wave lagoon ($) & enclosed beach area. Plenty of restaurants, 2 pubs & retail shops including stokes wharf. Checkin /check out easy. Highly recommended place to stay.

This had a nice vibe upon entry. The room was nice but smelled very mouldy probably due to the humidity. The service was average and they only recommend their own restaurant or Lime Cafe for food but hotel restaurant has short hours and Lime Cafe, well make sure you read the reviews before going there as you will pay for your mistake if you don’t. If you want some water, save yourself $20 and just head out the back door to the public park toilet block where there is a water filter to fill your water bottle up. The location is fantastic but most of the people who work here are just showing up to work with little hospitality.

Booked a night away for our anniversary ( we really wish we didn’t ) Great location at the heart of the waterfront but building is lacking on maintenance. Room was obviously rushed when they cleaned as was streaky and dusty surfaces Balcony glass was horrible, no way that’s been cleaned over in a very long time We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment Our aircon didn’t work in the bedroom properly only in the living room Called reception at 3:30am to tell them we’d had enough and the aircon is not working and they offered us a pedestal fan. Finally got some sleep only to be woken up at 7:30 by the fire alarms going off throught the building Checked out after the all clear and we explained our terrible guest experience to the new on duty manager, to say he was very rude and un helpful would be the understatement of the century. And he refused to provide contact details to be able to voice my complaint too anyone other then himself. My wife and I will not be staying here again, which is a shame because as Darwin locals we love coming into the city to spend our money in the local economy. We highly recommend you look elsewhere for accomodation

Bit disjointed re car park and hotel. Lots of walking within the hotel. Great coffee from a machine (for once in Australia), shame about the wait, needs at least 2 more machines, spent most of the breakfast time queuing for the coffee machine, at least it was worth it this time.

Arrived at the hotel at 1pm and was told check in is 3pm which was ok. Tried to check in at 3pm still room not ready. Disgusting service , you would think that if someone is sitting in the lobby waiting for the room they will at least prioritise.

Nestled in the serene Northern suburbs of Darwin, Club Tropical Resort Darwin offers a delightful escape just moments from the beautiful Lee Point Beach. This charming resort features low-rise accommodations that include stylish rooms and apartments, each equipped with inviting balconies or patios for enjoying the tropical ambiance. Guests can unwind by the outdoor pool or savor delicious meals at the on-site restaurant, which also boasts a bar and café for leisurely afternoons.
Highly recommend this place. Clean and tidy. Rooms have the amenities you need. Restaurant has basic but good food menu. Prices are reasonable and quality of food is yummo and a good size. Staff are very pleasant and efficient. Thanks Club Tropical, may see you next visit. Cheers James Smith.

Amazing place to stay- staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and the food is incredible! All you can eat breakfast was fantastic and dinner was incredible ❤️ Can’t wait to spend the last of my holiday here and Will 100% stay here again.

I have stayed in over half of all the accommodation options in Darwin, this is the worst so far! SAFETY: 1. Staying with a group, myself and others were given master keys (without asking). They opened every room in the place. BEWARE that total strangers have keys to your room. 2. The pool has no lighting. Trying to supervise kids past dark is very difficult and dangerous, since you can't see anyone. (See photo) 3. The place is overall very dark. It feels unfinished. I'd feel unsafe here if I was a solo traveller. VALUE: Extremely poor value. Go stay at Darwin resort for at least 1/2 the price for better service. They lie to you and say that continental breakfast is included, and then come to charge you after your whole group has eaten ($16 / person for cereal and a couple low quality options and instant coffee). They even charge for laundry, and even though there's a tap-to-pay sign, it only takes coins. Even though it is relatively new, the whole place is falling apart. Cracked paint, cheap veneer doors peeling apart, etc. I was here for almost a week, my bedsheets were never changed. The bathroom was never cleaned. Some days I didn't even get fresh towels. Also you need a car if you're staying out this far. Door Dash won't even deliver because it's out of town. CUSTOMER SERVICE: I could go on an on about the issues during my stay, and all of them were somehow twisted to be blamed on myself and our group. I asked repeatedly to speak with a manager for days, and never got to. They have a "no refund" policy, even if they give you rooms without working aircon or key cards. Pitiful for the price they're charging. The positives: The rooms are big and the pools are nice in the daytime. Again, as someone who travels to Darwin monthly, do yourself a favour, save some money, and stay literally anywhere else.

Lee's point is beautiful, and that makes this hotel a decent spot to land. The rooms were ok. It was a little noisy from parties outside one night, but otherwise it was nice. The front desk staff was inattentive and generally unfriendly. We asked for the room to be made up after three days, and the staff took the sandy towels off the floor and hung them up, and didn't change the linens. That was enough to set my wife off. For the money, and the location, it's still a pretty nice place to stay.

If you are looking for a location that is a gem then you can not go past Club Tropical Resort Darwin, staff are amazing, service and the breakfast OMG presentation the best. I haven't had dinner but will be going back. I was sold on the fried chips the best in town. Choose Club Tropical and you will not be disappointed.

Nice hotel near Darwin at the end of Lee Point. Lots of walking trails nearby and close to the beach. They also have a great pool to cool off and the restaurant serves great food and drinks.

We recently had the pleasure of having our wedding at Club Tropical Resort. Chloe and the team did an exceptional job organising our ceremony and reception venues. We were blown away by the stunning setup and beautiful arranged decorations. It was everything we ever hoped for and more. The staff’s willingness to go above and beyond made our day incredibly special. We were also provided with a complimentary room to get ready in and stay the night of the wedding. It was clean, comfortable and a perfect space to relax before the ceremony and unwind afterwards. The meals and atmosphere were great. The food was flavourful and the ambiance added the overall experience. Thank you Chloe and staff. Sabrina & Lachy

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Esplanade Darwin offers a laid-back atmosphere with comfortable rooms and suites. Located in the heart of Darwin CBD, it's just a short walk from the Harbour, Mitchell Street, State Square, Wave Lagoon, and Mindil Markets. The recently revamped property features rooms decorated in evocative tones reflecting the Northern Territory with stunning views of the harbor and Esplanade.
This hotel is beautifully located smack on the lovely esplanade. Unfortunately it is undergoing a major facade renovation (should be over soon!) But . . . when I complained about the noise the staff couldn't have been more helpful in relocating us to a quieter room. Our new room was spacious, the bed super comfy, toiletries lovely, and the buffet breakfast featured everything and anything you could want. (My one complaint is that there should be a clearer explanation at the front desk, and knowledge by all staff, of how and exactly where to catch the free local Darwin busses.) Despite that, all the staff are friendly, smiling and helpful. As we had a really late night flight we had to hang around for hours and the lovely Erika couldn't have been kinder in looking after us. Thanks to all who made our stay memorable.

I recently completed a 2-night business stay at this hotel, and overall, it was an OK choice, particularly due to its prime city location, which was incredibly convenient for my meetings. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. I also really enjoyed the food, which was of good quality. A major plus for my stay were the fantastic gym and swimming pool facilities; they were clearly well-maintained and a pleasure to use. While the room itself was simple and adequate, I found a couple of areas that could significantly improve the guest experience. Firstly, the shower pressure was quite disappointing, making for a less-than-ideal start to the day. Secondly, the in-room TV felt a bit dated, lacking the smart features and streaming apps (like Netflix) that are common expectations in modern hotels. Thirdly, the look of the hotel, from the outside, leaves much to be desired. Despite these minor drawbacks, the superb location makes this a solid option for business travellers needing to be in the heart of the city.

I had such a brilliant stay at the Hilton DoubleTree Darwin. As a Diamond member, I would have loved an upgrade or a room with a view, but I understand the hotel was under construction at the time. The first night was a little disruptive, but thankfully no work happened over the weekend. From the moment I checked in, the welcome cookie was a nice touch, and breakfast was incredible—especially the juice station and being able to enjoy it poolside. The pool itself is fantastic (the best in Darwin, in my opinion!) and the gym, while small, was well-equipped. My only issue was that the gym key card was faulty—I had to get it replaced three times in a single day. The room itself was comfortable and well-kept, and overall, I loved my stay. For comparison, I also spent a night at the Hilton up the road, which was nearly double the price. Honestly, the DoubleTree was far better—friendlier service, a pool about four times the size, and a nicer location. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it.

A very comfortable stay. Well located and the staff are all lovely and very accommodating. The room was spacious, spotless and the bed/pillows were comfy. I had a stunning view across the Esplanade to the water, with amazing sunsets each evening. Bathroom was clean and very spacious too; just give the shower a few minutes for the hot water to come through. The exterior could do with a face-lift/upgrade. The swimming pool is on the ground floor (you need to walk through the restaurant to get to the pool). Free underground parking is very convenient.
Inala C — Google review
Location is fantastic. Rooms a little small for a family room. They obviously thought 2 towels were enough for a family of 4. No spare pillows in the room either. Service is particularly poor ( I’m still here) queues for tables for breakfast, shortage of food, which is often cold, no mugs for tea and coffee and when you can find a mug, large queues for the 2 machines. If you need a towel for the pool, get them early, the response when you ask in the afternoon is ‘towels? No towels’. Final night and will be glad to continue our Australia adventure elsewhere. Definitely not a 4 star hotel by my standards, lucky to be a 3.

Stayed 23/10/25 and I want to commend the service we received. We had a bit of a traumatic incident happen to us and the gentleman looking after the front desk was incredible. He went out of his way to help us and showed us so much empathy and care, absolutely above and beyond in the early hours of the morning. Beautiful rooms too! Thank you.

We are regular customers at Double tree Hilton all over the world. After reservation was made in Darwin Esplanade, I called. Nothing was mentioned about the construction and the consequent noise and view blocking. Guests are entitled to know what the real situation is to make their choice. When we arrived late from Sydney, we discovered our room on the first floor with scaffolding, and we filed a complaint and we were ready for another hotel. However, the morning after, Erica at the reception was extremely helpful. She gave us a suite on the fifth floor with unobstructed view. Her help changed everything and we had a wonderful stay. We want to thank you personally. The buffet is always the best at Double Tree and it was at the Darwin Esplanade. This stay will give us good memories.

Nestled just outside Darwin's bustling CBD, Elsey on Parap offers the perfect blend of relaxation and local charm. These spacious one- and two-bedroom serviced apartments are designed for extended stays, featuring fully equipped gourmet kitchens, dedicated dining areas, and large furnished balconies that invite you to unwind after a long journey. The vibrant neighborhood of Parap is home to the popular Saturday morning market where locals gather for fresh produce and unique finds.
Very spacious and comfortable apartment. well set up for self catering. Great pool. Lift. Easy parking. Very close to a great range of cafes’ food stores, galleries etc. Parap is a really good place to stay when visiting Darwin.

I normally stay in the Parap area, but in January I gave Elsey on Parap a go and the entire stay was fantastic. The rooms are very spacious, spotless and quiet. Whilst the accomodation is the reason I was there, it is a wonderful bonus that all the staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I enjoyed my stay and I went back the next time I was in Darwin, and Elsey on Parap will be my first choice when I am in Darwin.

We loved this accommodation in Parap, a lovely part of Darwin. Instructions on how to enter the appartement were very clear. The appartement was clean, bright and big. The location of Elsey on Parap is AMAZING! On Saturday morning the famous Parap Village Market is from 8 am till 2 pm and this is where all the locals go. Then on Sunday the famous Mindil Beach Sunset Market is close by the appartement as well, which is where half of Darwin goes at sunset. And finally, a local at Darwin airport suggested we have dinner at Darwin Trailer Boat Club as it has the best sunsets in Darwin. And that happened to be a 6 minute walk from Elsey on Parap. Would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Darwin.

Usually the work budget means no frills and even less personality but I have stumbled on a good one this time. With a beautiful one bedroom apartment, balcony and very quiet street Elsey on Parap is lovely. Only issue is that the parking is a tight squeeze for the work landcruiser but that's nothing unusual. Will very definitely have this place at the top of the list in the future.

Location was excellent and had everything you needed. Would suggest avoiding Room 7 as the air conditioner shuts off at the middle of the night - hope this gets fixed because otherwise room is very hot. The reason that this is given 1-star is due to how the manager, Michelle Graham, handled our feedback when we checked out. If we did not have any dealings with her, would have given this place a 5-star. Further details below if anyone wants to continue reading. We provided feedback to her in relation to our disappointing experience upon finding a dirty rag on our pillowcase when we checked in, and our air con stopped working in the middle of the night for our last two nights in a row. Unfortunately, she was defensive, unprofessional and responded with sarcastic comments. She gaslighted us by saying things like, ‘have you never had mistakes happen before?’ ‘What would you like me to to, it happened at the middle of the night’ ‘we already changed your pillowcases what more do you want’ ‘if you had told me, I would have gotten it fixed. I had no control with the air con breaking’. These comments likened to those of a petulant child, not an experienced manager in a customer facing role. I honestly think that Michelle just had a bad day that morning since she looks experienced, but still unacceptable given that it is her job to deal with both positive and negative feedback.

We had to booked for the premium site. Toilets and showers are immaculate, the only down size is we have to share it with others. What a massive caravan park. I love the bouncing pillow for kids. If I’m not mistaken there were more than one swimming pool inside the park. Shared kitchen is cleaned every day. Amazing! Thumbs up! More to this, the coolest thing is we got to see squadron practice in the morning or afternoon. You are able to see a few (I think) F35 jets flying around. (I instantly have Top Gun imagination in my head)

We must say that this was one of the best caravan parks we’ve stayed at. All the staff including reception and care takers were amazing. So helpful and polite. We all enjoyed our stay here including our 2 dogs, amazing dog area which they loved. The toilets and showers were always clean and nice hot water with good pressure. The pool areas were fantastic and the bistro area was so relaxing with live music to enjoy. We’d like to thank everyone here for a great experience. Warwick and myself give this park a 10 out of 10 🥰

We just recently held our wedding at free spirit resort. Excellent staff cannot promote Jewel enough for helping planning and supporting us from beggining of planning to staying late on the night. Great guest rates for our family alongside our wedding booking, Awesome air-conditioned marquee that held spaces for our kids area, bar and buffet. Our cabin for the 2 nights was spacious with kitchenette. We love coming to elements just for a good feed and was the perfect spot for our wedding. Love the new look for the pool area ❤️

We recently celebrated our daughter 1st birthday at Darwin FreeSpirit Resort, and it honestly couldn’t have been a more perfect venue. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, convenient, and just what we needed for a special day with family and friends. The air-conditioned function room was spacious, clean, and beautifully lit with natural light, which made it super comfortable for both kids and adults (especially in Darwin’s heat!). The location is ideal, easy for guests to get to, with plenty of parking and a relaxed, tropical vibe as soon as you enter the resort. We had external vendors come in to set up soft play and decorations, and the team at FreeSpirit was so flexible and accommodating—nothing was too hard, and they really helped take the stress out of the day. Every staff member we spoke to was friendly, professional, and genuinely supportive. You can tell they care about their guests having a great experience. The food was delicious and came out exactly on time—hot, fresh, and with generous portions. We had so many compliments from our guests! Whether you’re hosting a birthday, baby shower, or any type of event, I can’t recommend Darwin FreeSpirit Resort enough. The atmosphere is chilled but polished, and it’s a place where you can truly enjoy the moment while the team takes care of the rest. Thanks again to the FreeSpirit team for helping make our little girl’s first birthday one we’ll never forget 💕🌴

We had our wedding at FreeSpirit Resort few weeks ago and it was truly a flawless experience from start to finish. Jewel went above and beyond to cater to all our needs and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day. Wether it was the endless emails, million questions or last minute changes nothing was ever a issue. The venue set up was everything we could’ve ever imagined and knowing Jewel and the team were there meant we could fully relax. One thing that really stood out was their attention to dietary requirements — they ensured there were plenty of delicious gluten-free and dairy-free options available, which our guests really appreciated and loved. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, and we felt completely supported the entire time. The venue itself is beautiful, and the service was exceptional. We couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate such a special moment. Highly recommend FreeSpirit Resort for anyone planning a wedding or event!

We stayed in an Studio room. Clean and well presented. Aircon and fan on, when I entered the room. It was a welcome relief from the warm weather outside. Shower very refreshing after spending a couple of weeks in the bush. All the usual things in a Studio room. Laundries in park all well equipped with washers and dryers. Camp kitchens were also very clean and well maintained. Lounge Areas were comfortable too. It's a great park. Cheers and thanks to all the staff who made our stay very comfortable...

We were so impressed with this hotel on a recent holiday in July. Do not stay anywhere else! This place is perfect! We’ve stayed at bigger brands and dearer prices in Darwin but never again. This place is spotless. I thought it had been recently renovated it was so clean. Renovated 2 years ago. The gardens are beautiful and lush an oasis from the heat. Location amazing, staff amazing, best value buffet breakfast anywhere. Wish we’d stayed longer. We will only ever stay here now. Pickles the parrot in reception is a nice touch and kept my kids entertained. Thanks so much.

This resort is well placed right down on the Esplanade. The reception desk is open 24 hours 7 days a week. The staff were excellent and the rooms were kept clean. If you book your breakfast you say $5 and only pay $20. It's a buffet breakfast with a range of different food. It is right behind the Hotel Darwin and a sports bar. The sports bar opens quite late and can be a bit noisy.

Unfortunately the photos at booking.com are very misleading. The rooms are super small, such is the pool. There isn’t enough space for a lot of people by the pool. Breakfast is very simple and they seem to struggle to fill up what is empty. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend staying here unfortunately.

I stayed 4 nights at room 222 and there was a BEDBUG and I got so many bites all over my body as photo attached. I didn’t expect a bedbug at the hotel! I informed the reception and the staff kindly gave me an insect roller, but that didn’t solve the itchiness. The staff were nice, amenities were good and location is good. But I got a sore throat every morning as the room was so dusty maybe from the carpet or curtains. I also saw a cockroach in my bathroom.

Guests can enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast at the on-site Zest restaurant which offers a blend of Indigenous and European flavors. The hotel's central location provides easy access to the waterfront and various attractions in the vibrant local culture.
My stay was truly amazing, and the staff were undeniably the highlight. From the moment I checked in to my interactions with the cleaning and restaurant teams, every member of staff consistently exhibited excellent service. Their dedication truly made a difference. The only minor aspect that kept me from giving a perfect 10 was the showers, which weren't quite to my personal preference. However, this small detail didn't overshadow the overwhelmingly positive experience, largely thanks to the exceptional team.

Lovely hotel with super friendly staff. However, our suite was in need of updating and bringing into this century. There were NO power points in the twin bedroom and the living area was worn and basic. Other than that, there was a great air con system, a great swimming pool, a lovely atrium and bar area and restaurant. The hotel was close to a local supermarket and within walking distance of local bars and restaurants.

Very close in CBD , walking distance to places I needed to go. Room.was spacious and clean and serviced every day .. Staff was courteous and professional although a small misunderstanding when I checked out that was sorted immediately.. I loved the ground floor setting for the bar and restaurant. Very inviting and with plenty comfortable seatings!! Only hope the pool area could be abit more big and child friendly as well 🙂 , was planning another trip this time with my children.

Very well located hotel. Great views from our Junior Suite. The rooms are a bit old and could do with a makeover. Bathroom is basic. But everything was clean, staff were great, the bar was great .. sitting amongst what felt like a tropical rainforest! I would return.

I spent 3 nights in this hotel while I was attending a work conference in Darwin. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The air-conditioning was very welcome. There was a slight damp smell to the room that was improved by running the ceiling fan. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. There was some confusion over whether breakfast was included in our room rate - we thought it was but some of my travelling companions were charged for breakfast. The breakfast offerings were reasonable. I had dinner at the restaurant on my first night and was given the wrong dish and had to wait a long time (and follow up with the staff) before I got the vegetarian penne I had ordered. It was below average and quite expensive for a pasta dish. There are many other dining options around the hotel where I was able to source better food, so it didn't have a big impact on my stay.
Belinda B — Google review
While the hotel rooms are a little dated, the room rate is good value especially when you include their buffet breakfast. The view from our ocean facing room on the fourth floor was magnificent. We enjoyed the pool daily and also the bar in the stunning atrium was a great spot to wind down. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and our room was very clean.
Blake W — Google review
Rooms are kind of old. Also hardly any view from the junior suite with sea view. Despite the platinum status a higher floor or any other upgrade was not provided. Maybe they were full. Free breakfast and 50% off for food was offered. All in all a good place and a good location but don't expect much view from the room and the room furnishings are a bit old.
Aniruddha P — Google review
Regretfully, I cannot recommend the Novotel Darwin. Despite a check in time of 2pm, my room was not available until 4pm. A free drink voucher was provided to the bar. The customer service member greeting arrivals appeared overwhelmed, and many other travellers were advised their rooms weren’t ready. The apartment was dirty. It smelt damp and faintly of urine. The carpets were stained. It appeared eerily like blood. Areas of the bathroom and sliding door to the balcony were black and mouldy. The fridge needed a wipe out. The balcony overlooked the dumpsters in the carpark and the ceiling looked ready to give up and cave in. The kitchenette was tiny and poorly equipped. The sink plug didn’t fit adequately. Bin liners weren’t provided for the trash cans which I found odd and unhygienic. The provided laundry facilities are expensive ($6 per wash/dry, $2 for laundry powder). I found this surprising, as most accomodation will provide these free of charge to guests. There is no gym on site. There is access to a 24/7 facility a 10 minute walk down the road, which is well equipped. The room was poorly sound proofed. The room was so grim it forced me to fill in as much time as possible with activities so as to avoid spending time in it.

Mantra on the Esplanade Darwin is a contemporary hotel situated in a prime waterfront spot on the Esplanade, offering stunning views of Darwin Harbour. The hotel provides comfortable and convenient lodging options, including Hotel Rooms and self-contained One, Two and Three Bedroom Apartments, along with luxurious Penthouse Suites. Guests can enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, an outdoor pool, and an on-site restaurant. Additionally, the property is conveniently located near Mitchell Street's lively dining and entertainment area.
We were fortunate to have an apartment on the 8th level with direct lift access to basement carpark. Although the aircon temperature is non adjustable, with only high & low switch, we still enjoyed a very comfortable self contained apartment with washer/dryer & dishwasher etc appliances. In particular, a very comfortable bed. Also the welcome drink & bonus treats are awesome. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Terrible start had a very late/early check-in 1.30am no record of us arriving even though we had checked by phone the day before our flight eventually get to our 1brm apartment 2.30am, very musty smell but otherwise OK. The big problem is if you have a room at the rear of the hotel you are subject to unrelenting thumping disco/house music from 9.00am till 10.00pm from the Youth hostel which faces the back of the hotel, you cannot drown it out by turning the tv volume right up. Never ever take a city view room it is criminal to be paying for a peaceful holiday. I am not against loud music but not at the expense of everybody else. Hotel management do absolutely nothing even asking for a room change will never stay here again ruined what should have been a great holiday. I would like to point out after a change of staff on the reception (Alana) the following day we were afforded a room change to the opposite end of the hotel which helped save the day, thankyou.

Our first room, which was for a 5 night stay, was very noisy, we left for a one night stay at Kakadu and before we left we asked to be moved on our return which was for another 4 nights, because the noise was relentless, doof doof which meant we couldn’t really have our balcony door open.We were moved two doors along and despite our reservations we were reassured it would be quieter, it was not. We requested a front facing room to get away from the noise but were told it would be $85 per night extra. I think we should have been warned by the hotel or flight center, who we booked through, about the noise. The rooms weren’t really clean. We had to request someone to come and clean the dust and mould off the ceiling and air cond vents in out first room, when he moved the bed to reach the air cond vents it was clear it hadn’t been vacuumed under for a long time. Our second room was a bit cleaner but the exhaust fan and vents could still have done with a vaccuum and I found a previous guest’s hair clasp when I moved the case stand. Some of the staff were nice enough but one in particular was downright unresponsive to our concerns. It was handy having a kitchenette and laundry but I would not stay here again although it was convenient to shops. There have been food scraps in the hall all day, also I forgot to mention the art work in the halls is moldy and there is a cat with 2 half grown kittens living in the car park and nobody seems to be cleaning up cat poo. Also it is $19 a day for parking which we weren’t aware of.

Linen & bed was clean. Bathroom was full of mould. Internet wifi was a jog, no security , so 2000s, less than 2Mbs on a good day. Staff friendly, lifts quick, shower head the best so far in Darwin but forget trying it to cook in your room as no ventilation and fire alarm goes off regularly when people cook (see the pics). Oh balcony door doesn’t lock and only serviced once a week for a $500+ night single room apartment. Definitely the worst I’ve stayed in over the last 12 months. Surely there is some quality standards in Darwin, total cowboy quality for the money. Oh the AC didn’t work under 26C in the lounge room and the bedroom a minimum of 22C. Seriously, how hard is it to provide a quality service that I’m paying for?? Let’s hope that next time I’m forced to stay here that the quality is upto the premium day rate?

It is a 3 star hotel & I was not expecting 5 star service & amenities. Location is plus plus. Tour buses will pick you up from here. Walk thru back entrance to busy & vibrant night-life life precinct on Mitchell Street. My city room on the 7th floor was spared the street noise. 5 days here on 1st visit to Darwin which is a beaut heritage city with authentic Aussie culture. Pros: # Location # Reception staff helpful # Safe & secure with 2 security coded cards for building & room entry. Cons: #Old & dated air-con drone will keep you awake. Light sleepers beware! I got used to it, thankfully. Any longer - I'd sue for audio impairment! Cool enough but no thermostat remote control. # Soft pillows & bit saggy bed. Ok for me but pax two will test the firmness & comfort. # Clean but dated bathroom with darkened grouting here & there. All looks adequate on arrival. However with room service policy only on 7th day - it becomes annoying. Paying premium for hotel service but treated like an apartment stay. With Darwin's heat & humidity - the towels are used frequently & need changing. Sheets are not changed either which did not bother me much. #Shower is in bathtub & old style deep. Those with mobility issues need to be careful. Handrail is attached. # Trot down to reception to replenish tea or coffee bags. One cup & spoon provided in a pax 2 room. Figure how stained that gets by the 5th day - washing with hand wash & no scrub.. #You are expected to clear the bins by getting down to the basement!! Hello!! You come for a holiday hoping to get away from domestic duties. Pay the peak season hotel room rate only to be subjected to house work & irritations that detracts from relaxation. Accor chain need to address this. Stayed at Uluru in July 2023 in one of their premium resort hotels & found it in the same state of very low upkeep & maintenance. Fake reviews to prop up ratings. My group of friends picked this & I did too. Otherwise- there are plenty of choices on the esplanade or even a little further away. Darwin city is not set on massive city grid blocks like Melbourne is. Easy walk to ocean esplanade views even a little further away.

Perfectly situated in the City so we walked everywhere and didn't need a hire car. The staff were really friendly and beds were super comfortable.

Clean confortable stay with large sized rooms. Small kitchenette with kettle and coffee. Not sure wher there breakfast / dining was but there are plenty of cafe's in Mitchell st. Large balcony overlooking the beach made for a lovely sunset. Receptionists were very pleasant and accommodating.
John G — Google review
Seemingly under staffed, outdated, unclean, uncomfortable (bed felt like a park bench), no flyscreen on window (nothing to stop children or people falling out) shower ran out of hot water (assuming the entire hotel must have ran out), room service comes from another hotel for a delivery fee. Bottom line, basic, budget accommodation, check out your expectations before you check in... The location is excellent, 30 minutes walk gets you markets, beaches, mariners, major tourist attractions and 1000 eateries and water holes, if your looking for a quieter spot to eat, wandering further away from the CBD (300m-900m) is a good option with plenty on offer... We won't be back here to stay, but that's just us..

Quality Hotel Darwin Airport is a modern, relaxed lodging with an outdoor pool and airport shuttle. It's perfect for guests with limited time in Darwin, as there is a free shuttle to and from the airport. The hotel features stylish rooms with balconies overlooking the pool. Sports enthusiasts will also enjoy the park next door, as it houses a football stadium, rugby park and golf course.
Clean and comfy hotel room, close to town. Friendly staff on the front desk. The bathroom in particular was showing its age but it was still perfectly serviceable. Parking onsite was ample and easy.

This hotel has marked itself as a 4 star hotel but I was disappointed after my experience with their service and rooms. The main advantage of this hotel is the proximity to the airport and that there is a complementary shuttle to and from the airport . The gentleman that picked us up happily assisted another passenger put their bags in and take them out of the van but just watched as I struggled with mine and not even an offer of assistance . He was still friendly at check in and despite his best efforts on the computer system , he couldn’t provide me with a tax invoice for my late check out payment . He advised he would leave a note for a morning staff to sort it out . A different receptionist member in the morning misunderstood what invoice I was requesting and constantly signposting me in a passive aggressive manner to the third party website I booked through . Eventually he understood that I was after the late checkout invoice that I paid at the hotel and then sorted it out. The room had dried paint stains on the carpet when you walk in . I had to immediately call the reception staff member to come and make a not so that I don’t get charged for this. The rest of the room and bathroom look good and clean at first glance . However , the ceiling fan switch didn’t work and the fan was on all night . The shower was cold and didn’t warm at all . It wasn’t even a shower . It was just dribbling water . I don’t think I would stay here again or can recommend this place unfortunately .

Best $20 Monday steak nights in Darwin. All of the food is excellent and so is the service. So close to Darwin Airport you can walk there and explore nature on the way on the Gurambai cultural walking trail which has some fascinating history too. 😊

We chose this place due to its location close to the airport, as well as the free shuttle. The room was ok for a night. The pool had not been cleaned (lots of leaves and other debris) and when I asked about it, I was told it's only done once a month..! The concierge said we needed to be at the airport 3h prior to the flight(!) at 6 am... a local told us an hour is more than enough and we're glad we trusted them instead.
A — Google review
Hotel is getting abit dated. Reception staff very helpful and friendly and location ideal for airport. Free pickup and drop off. Rooms were abit dark and smelt musty although the bathroom was spotlessly clean. I was going to have a swim but the pool looked quite dirty. Not only was there debris (leaves and dirt) but also what appeared to be a film of oil on the surface, rather like suncream. Never saw pool being cleaned. Hotel also quite expensive for what you get. Airport tavern next door with good food at very reasonable prices.

DO NOT STAY HERE My mother and I had a terrible experience at this hotel. During our checkout, 2 family members came to help us bring our luggage down, they had their small dog with them, however were not staying at the hotel, just helping us for 5 mins. We were startled by a very aggressive staff member banging on our door, screaming at us telling us we all had to leave instantly because of the people and dog…. We tried to explain we were on the way out, but she was so aggressive and angry she didn’t let us get 1 single word in. She also tried to snatch the dog leash out of my hand. We felt very unsafe and disappointed in this behavior from a staff member. To top it off, when dropping the key off at reception, after walking in that lady shouts in front of the whole room “THERES THE DOG PEOPLE”. Easy to say, I will NOT be staying there again.
Charity M — Google review
Close to the airport but not value for money, small rooms and very dated, in need of a reno. However after a long, late flight, it was quiet, comfortable bed and hot shower
Pamela V — Google review
Convenient for late arrivals into Darwin. Witnessed extremely poor customer service from, one can only assume, the manager. Accosting 2 travellers and their family members who had come to collect them and their bags from the room. A small dog had been brought to the room, and rather than handling the situation in a professional or even-tempered manner, the woman aggressively confronted the guests. Continuing to raise her voice over the guests, accusing them of having to many people in the room, rant about no dogs on the premises (I hadn't seen any signs stating no dogs), at one point she even tried to snatch the dog from the owner! At no point did she take a breath to let the guests explain they were just helping weary travelers w their oversized luggage or apologize for bringing the dog up. The guests maintained composure and didn't rise to the bait. One can imagine an exchange between her and a less confident individual or child that she takes a dislike to. Purely based on witnessing this exchange, I would not recommend.

We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and the renovations have really lifted it. Good staff, great well priced food and that ever attractive dining and coffee area next to a very good pool. Will definitely return and recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel 4 nights before going a cruise. Our first impression was that it appeared to be dated and it is a bit sterile and ‘soulless’. However, the room was fine, quiet, the bed was good and so was the bathroom. There are no bathrobes provided in the room , however, when I asked at reception they brought 2 up to our room pretty quickly. Apart from a couple of tea bags and a coffee machine the bar fridge was empty. BUT, the overall service was nothing short of outstanding, from reception to the staff in the restaurant. Very friendly, genuine and attentive service!! Breakfast was good and dinner at the restaurant was fantastic! A great menu and a good selection of wines and other beverages! We were quite impressed. As far as the location is concerned; it’s good! A lovely 10 min walk into the CBD and all shops and many restaurants within walking distance. In fact, a great restaurant around the corner in the next street behind the hotel. The cruise terminal is about 5 min away (by taxi). We recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

It's a nice hotel with good location, nice view and nice staff. We arrived at 3 a.m. There was an issue with our reservation, but the receptionist (Sinchan) helped us, solve our problem. We really appreciated it. The room is clean, big and good view (city & beach view). Parking area and swimming pool are good.

Loved this hotel. I stayed 3 nights. Very comfy beds. Beautifully renovated bathroom. One of the elevators was making an odd noise which woke me up a lot the first night, but which my ears learned to ignore the nights after that. The breakfasts are amazing! And you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful warm weather next to the pool. Would highly recommend. It's about a 15-min walk to go into the CBD, which was fine for me, but if you have mobility issues, you may want to get the other Hilton on Mitchell Street which is much closer to everything.

Guests can enjoy a leisurely stroll to local shops, restaurants, and nightlife hotspots within ten minutes. The apartments are well-appointed and provide a cozy atmosphere that feels like home.
Absolutely loved this place! Super close to the city but far enough away that it’s not noisy at all, aircons in every room that worked unbelievably well, rooftop pool was perfect, underground secure car park, staff were so nice and having a washing machine was super handy! I was only meant to stay for 4 nights but after going to the next accommodation, it was terrible so I called to see if we could come back and they organised a room straight away so we ended up staying 7 nights! 10/10!

Travelodge Resort Darwin is a casual hotel centrally located in Darwin, offering bright rooms and townhouses. The resort features two outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center, and a restaurant. With its tropical setting including a waterfall at the center and a private pool surrounded by palm trees, guests can enjoy a relaxing stay without leaving the hotel. Conveniently situated in the city center, it's just a short drive from the airport and railway station.
Family of 3 --early October. we stayed 6 nights in an eco double queen room and it was great value for money. The choice of the 2 different pool areas was awesome, giving a fully shaded space as an option. There were plenty of other families with young children around too, so it was filled with lots of laughter and pool fun. The facilities are clean and good quality. Across the road is Woolies, which is so handy. Great location and security to get in and out. We saw green tree frogs and many wonderful lizards. We would stay here again.

Have stayed at this accommodation when it was Mirambeena, and Travelodge. It’s in a great location close walking distance to supermarket, bus stop and local attractions. Unfortunately the pool closes at 7pm compared to other places that allow you to swim until 10pm, and spas are not working anymore. We stayed in a townhouse which was wonderful. Lots of room to move. I’m sorry to say, but most of the reception staff were terrible. They did not listen to questions asked. On at least three occasions we asked a question, and received an answer that had nothing to do with what we had asked about. An example. I rang to have housekeeping make the bed. Five minutes later had a knock at the door with a receptionist holding coffee pods that she said we rang for. Also seemed to be slight confusion with arrangements made with original booking with Travelodge.

Was a great stay a few staff were hard to understand due to accents and we did get evacuated early in the morning due to some ones room alarm.Staff were not helpful about directing people where to go in an emergency so all the gusset looked rather lost with some just going back to there rooms. Pool was lovely and warm the other pool was cooler so was nice to have a choice. Lots of shade to keep cool and bar staff and service was fantastic. I believe her name was Emily and she was very friendly and professional.

The hotel has just refurbished the rooms and it shows. It is clean and very comfortable, the shower has amazing pressure. The only reason I am giving a 4 star is because my upstairs neighbour was very noisy and I was facing the street so some traffic noise as well. (I am a light sleeper) the staff at reception were always nice and helpful at all times. Overall a great stay. I am hoping that they will eventually also refurbished the BBQ area and maybe add in a microwave there which could be handy for some guest. The stairs and ramps also need some love but the rooms were very nice. Would stay here again

Great Park to stay, has everything you need and want and more. We originally booked for 8 nights and ended up staying 15 nights. Mark was a fabulous host and was willing help when needed. Coffee van in the park was a winner, friendly folk and great coffee and yummy cookies. Ensuite style amenities are a winner for me! Pools are fabulous, camp kitchen well set up. Our site had lovely green grass, was well shaded and close to everything in the park. Pet Friendly and had a Dog Sitter 2 streets away at a great price. It was an easy straight run into Darwin from here also. I would definitely recommend this park!! Steve & Rhonda

Loved the caravan park, the staff were helpful and friendly. We had a great site, the peacocks were very friendly, as was the little possum who visited us a couple of nights. We felt safe and secure there. They have a coffee van on site and offered Cambodian street food on the Saturday night. We used our own facilities so I can't comment on theirs. The only negative comment I would make is about the boom gates - they are very slow, the entry pin pad is very loose and wobbles about, and the exit boom gate took absolutely ages to lower when the car in front had gone through. So we spent more time than necessary at the boom gates. Other than that - we loved our stay there - it wasn't far from all the places we had planned to visit during our visit to Darwin.

I am writing to share the profoundly negative experience we had upon our arrival. We reached the reception desk at 5:03 PM precisely, only to be met with immediate hostility from the woman in charge. Before we could even explain our situation, she shouted at us that the reception was closed. We calmly tried to explain that we were in an emergency situation, hoping for a shred of understanding or assistance. Instead, we were met with a complete refusal to even consider a solution. There was no discussion, no flexibility, and certainly no compassion. Working in the tourism and hospitality industry requires a fundamental appreciation for human contact and a capacity for empathy. The individual we encountered possessed neither. Her behaviour was not just unprofessional; it was deeply unkind. One has to wonder about the kind of life that leads to such a cold and dismissive attitude towards people in need. I genuinely suggest she reconsiders her career path, as she is clearly unsuited for any role that requires customer service. This was a truly shocking and disheartening welcome.

Shower blocks were unclean, no water pressure, dodgy locks in cubicles (our 8y.o got stuck in a shower cubicle!) Washing machine facilities were by far the worst we’ve seen, 75% were out of order. When reported to staff, staff reciprocated with a counter complaint about their own head office & how that they had to wear all the complaints. Boom gate system is so antiquated, it caused delays & lock outs on every entry/exit. When assistance requested from staff, staff blamed user error. Generally staff were not helpful and did not demonstrate good customer service. Overall, this caravan park was grotty, grubby & lacked attention to detail. We would not recommend this accommodation.

Do yourself a favour! This is a wonderful hotel. Location is perfect, rooms are wonderful and cool with soft towels! The sportsbar downstairs serve amazing steak (😉 try the sirloin) and the staff in the bar are professional and friendly. The highlight of the stay however was the staff, and in particular Demi. She always goes over and above to look after my colleagues and myself. It doesn't matter what time of day, She is always friendly and happy. She checks us in promptly, and the other night stopped and assisted us while she was on her way home after work. Thank you C.Rice

My wife and I had a great stay at H on Mitchell. Although the 2 Irish ladies at the front desk were very, very busy (they hadn't been on the job long and the hotel was completely sold out and it was a public holiday), I patiently waited and was treated so kindly. My room wasn't quite ready at check in time but I received a phone call as soon as it was. Good solution-oriented service. One of the ladies at the desk was also very polite to a caller who asked no less than 5 times if they had any rooms. The studio room was as I expected size-wise but had all the amenities we needed. It was clean with no issues. We had towels / service offered each of the 2 full days we were there. The fire alarm went off at 2am one morning but was a false alarm - nothing the hotel can do about someone (probably) drunkenly making toast. The pool was fun and partly shaded, which was nice. And, we could walk just about anywhere in the CBD. Getting to and from the hotel by car was easy too. We would stay here again.

Room was a standard Ibis style room. Very clean and easily accessible to city centre. Staff were very kind checking me in at 3am and extending my check out a bit to help me sleep after long international flight. I greatly appreciated the 24hr front desk service as it's far and few in between now days. As a local, cost was a bit on the high end, however was still lower than others further away from city centre. If you are travelling for holidays to Darwin, consider this apartment style accommodation. It meets the day to day needs as well as easily near the heartbeat of our city.

On a 3 month interstate assignment and have been staying at H On Mitchell. My allocated One bedroom is equipped with cooking and full laundry facilities, though more cooking utensils could be added more. Dishwashing machine is appreciated. I would like to particularly commend the hotel staff, especially Demi, who works at reception. She has been helpful and prompt with her service, always assists with a smile and does her best given how busy the hotel is. Housekeeping could be better, given it’s a 4.5 star hotel. The only improvement is the mattress, which is quite uncomfortable (I could feel the spring pushing against my back). Overall, my stay has been pleasant so far. The location is great as you can walk to shops and restaurants very easily.

We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment . The apartment was very clean had our own cooking facilities and laundry. We had a balcony that gave us a beautiful view of the sunset from our balcony. Demi on reception was so helpful nothing was too much trouble Would recommend to anyone great location. Having the Lizard bar and grill very convenient. Jan Menzies

Booked on Hotels.com. This was a 12th floor serviced apartment in a Great location on the outer perimeter of the CBD. Well appointed, clean, quiet, Air Conditioned, with a down stairs Bar and Restaurant. Also the outdoor pool area was great.
Graeme H — Google review
These apartments have some real potential, but also some significant issues that need addressing. On the positive side, the location is absolutely central, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. My executive suite was well-appointed with great amenities, and the restaurant downstairs served decent food, which was a plus. However, the negatives were hard to ignore. There was noticeable mold on the ceiling in the lobby, which wasn't a great first impression, and unfortunately, I also found it in parts of my room and bathroom. The cleanliness of the room was also an issue, with some areas being quite dusty. Perhaps most concerning were the two air conditioning units in my suite; both were visibly dirty, appearing not to have been cleaned in a long time, and one of them was incredibly noisy, disrupting my sleep. With some attention to cleanliness and maintenance, this could be a 4 out of 5 or even a 5 out of 5.

Holiday park
Discovery Parks - Darwin is a convenient accommodation option located near the city and the airport. The park offers a variety of villas and camping sites, providing options for different preferences. Guests can enjoy onsite dining facilities for breakfast and dinner, as well as complimentary BBQ areas and a camp kitchen for self-catering. Despite its proximity to the airport, guests have reported peaceful nights with minimal disturbance from passing planes.
We stayed in a Superior cabin for five nights in early July. The cabin was of a decent size and clean. It had everything that one would need for a comfortable stay. Our stay was pleasant. The wi-fi was not strong enough for use in the cabin. The TV reception was bad for the first three days of our stay, but this was fixed for the final two days.
Douglas C — Google review
The park itself was a very picturesque place, 2 good pools, clean amenities block and strict on the 5kms speed limit. The only issues that we had was they had around 3 washing machines out of order for part of our stay. Close enough to Darwin centre to not be a problem. Sites are a pretty generous in size. Just make sure that you clean the bat droppings off the awning before putting it away. Besides that we had a pretty good week there.
Dave R — Google review
I loved our drive through site it was tidy and spacious and I didn't feel hemmed in. The ablutions are old but clean. The hot water taps are on the opposite side than usual so don't be fooled into thinking there's no hot water There are two pools both freezing but the one at the front doesn't attract the kids so peaceful for us oldies. It's close to everything in Darwin CBD but a little further from other attractions. It's expensive at $72 dollars and that's booking early with a discount. Noise from the airport is definitely heard but it didn't bother me or keep me awake there was some distant noise from the speedway over the weekend but again it wasn't a bother to us.
Pamela R — Google review
Location really suited us. Management was very understanding when we requested a site change as we were staying for three weeks. Thank you. Would have liked to see a little more attention given to the surrounding gardens etc as we were paying top dollar Only discovered ‘new’ area the day before we left. Much nicer! Serious money and effort has been put into the highway end of the park. Hopefully working through the park and this will also solve their plumbing issues! Two pools is a bonus. Would stay again acknowledging the planes and the fact that all parks in Darwin are expensive.
Lynne W — Google review
Nice but not quiet. Great location, close to everything. The pool is supposed to be closed at 7pm. Yet there a loud vermin children and parents still there afterwards and it isn't closed! Maybe the after hours number could be answered to report that we had no water.
Tony — Google review
We stayed early October and occupancy seemed less than 10pct yet we were put immediately next to others -why? Our spot was awkward to back into due to untrimmed shrubbery. As with all Discovery Parks they post a 5kmh speed limit, but on one occasion we followed the groundsman on his electric cart only to later have him chip me for speeding by following him!
Bob R — Google review
We stayed here for 2 weeks and had made 4 separate bookings as our road trip plan changed. On arrival, the staff were very nice and suggested we stay on the cheaper site for the entire stay to save us from moving around as we made 4 bookings. However, they didn’t mention the rate difference or offer any credit. When we asked, we were told the price had changed between the time we booked and when we arrived – which wasn’t true, as the same rates were still showing online. After 30 minutes of going back and forth, management finally agreed to issue a credit, but not for the full amount. In the end, the credit was never processed. Their T&Cs stated credits could only be used in Darwin Discovery Park, but we’ve stayed at Discovery Parks many times before and credits could always be used across locations. Also, they refused to give coins credit for the use of washing machine because “how do we know you will use the coin in our washing machine” We are making this review not because of the credit amount but for the handling of the situation, felt dodgy and left a very poor impression. Unfortunately, this was the worst customer service we’ve experienced at a Discovery Park.

Each room features a balcony and kitchenette along with complimentary continental buffet breakfast for all guests. Stayed here with a large group of friends. We booked 4 apartments and the management put us all on the same floor. The apartments are spacious and well designed making them very comfortable to share with another couple. Every apartment has balconies giving great views over Darwin. The location is fantastic with easy walking access to all of Darwin's center and water front. Highly recommend this place for a comfortable stay in Darwin. And the staff were brilliant too.

We had a lovely stay at Argus Apartments. The cleanliness was outstanding, the views were beautiful, and the staff were incredibly helpful throughout our visit. The location is also fantastic—just a short walk to shops and everything you need. The only drawback was that the designated disabled parking was not accessible to a lift, which meant we had to push the wheelchair up and down a level each time. Despite this, it was a very enjoyable and comfortable stay overall.

From the moment I arrived, Desire made me feel genuinely welcome. Her warmth, professionalism, and effortless charm set the tone for a truly pleasant stay. She handled every interaction with grace and attentiveness, making me feel not just like a guest, but genuinely cared for. It’s rare to find someone who brings such positive energy to their role and Desire is a true asset to the Argus team. Thank you for making my experience so memorable!

Argus Accommodation Darwin is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Top End! The apartments are big, spacious, and incredibly comfortable – ideal for families, groups, or anyone wanting a bit of extra room to relax and feel at home. Having your own apartment makes such a difference, and everything is well set up for both short and longer stays. The pool and gym facilities are simple but more than enough to keep you cool, active, and refreshed during your stay. It’s also in a fantastic central location, making it super easy to explore Darwin’s attractions, restaurants, and waterfront precinct without the need to travel far. What really sets Argus apart is the staff – they’re absolutely fantastic. Warm, professional, and always ready to go the extra mile, they make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Highly recommend Argus Accommodation Darwin for anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, and family-friendly place to stay. A great base for your Darwin adventure!
Dom D — Google review
The units were very large, much bigger than a typical 1 bedroom. They are not super modern but they are very clean. For a 1 bedroom, I had 3 bathrooms which was clearly more than enough. A huge balcony and access to a pool and gym. The location was good for me. You can walk across the street to a nice local hotel restaurant (Oaks Elan) with good drink and appetizer prices or around the corner (Ben’s Bakehouse) for very good coffee, danish and lunchtime meals. If you walk a bit further you can be at the lovely park on the water - bicentennial park or the opposite direction the waterfront precinct. Mitchell street is where the Cole’s grocery store is and plenty of restaurants & pubs which again is walkable. The location is quiet, the staff goes over and beyond to accommodate you as well.

Absolutely loved Argus Apartments. Great room in a perfect location. Close to town and only a few minutes from Darwin Waterfront. The staff were friendly and happy to help with anything you needed. The room had everything we needed including a washing machine and dryer. If we were to visit Darwin again we would definitely stay here.

Very friendly contact prior check-in, and discussing after hours check-in option. It worked out great. Basic room and bath room, but clean. At time of booking we mentioned we are on our honey-moon, this could have been acknowledged with a little note or card. Location is great, in walkting distance of CBD, botanical gardens.

Just stayed here for one night after a notorious late night Darwin flight landings. Was able to organise a late night check in fairly easily however the lock boxes were tricky (just old & a bit stuck). The room itself was pretty dingy, very old & run down. Wouldn’t enjoy staying there more than the required night. For $185 this was the cheapest around & did the job but wouldn’t recommend staying unless you had to. Otherwise staff were very polite & helpful.
Mickael S — Google review
We stayed 4 nights in the Studio, 1 Queen Bed unit. The room was a comfortable size for two, with ample walking space and spots to relax, whether at the kitchen table or on the lounge chair before the bed. There’s also a shared balcony that overlooks the car park. The apartment itself is a little dated, and you can see signs of age with some stains here and there. Still, we were surprised to find a fairly new washing machine and dryer tucked inside the bathroom - definitely a bonus, though there was no washing powder provided (likely something to purchase at reception). The shower area was on the smaller side, and water pressure was quite low, which was the main downside. The kitchen came well-equipped for basic cooking, and the fridge even had a jar of ice water ready, which was perfect for Darwin’s hot weather. On the downside, one of the cups had a stain, and there was noticeable dust on the microwave and stools. I just gave the stool a quick wipe before using it. The knives weren’t in the best shape either—one had rust on the edge and another was so dented it looked like it had been used to chop a crocodile! Amenities included soap, shampoo, and conditioner, but no tissue paper—we ended up using toilet paper instead. There was also no hair dryer in the room. Towels were provided, but they left lint on our clothes. On the second day, fresh towels were placed on the table, though not all used ones were cleared away. Housekeeping was inconsistent. They brought towels even when we didn’t request them, but bins weren’t always cleared—on one occasion, only two out of three were emptied. Wi-Fi was weak; with just two devices connected, it was already stuttering. The air-conditioning unit was another issue—it leaked whenever set at 25 degrees or lower, so we had to place a bin underneath to catch the dripping water. We highlighted this to Dolly at reception during checkout on 29 September at 8:30 am. Location-wise, it’s very convenient. Mindil Beach Sunset Market is just a 5-minute drive or a 20-minute walk away, and fast food options like McDonald’s, KFC, and Guzman are within a 3-minute drive. Overall, a decent stay with good space and location, but facilities and housekeeping could definitely be improved.

Rooms are a little tired and could use a deep clean. The apartments are currently occupied with a large group of young Irish guys who have been allowed to do as they please, taking over the pool area, chanting and singing, without consideration to other guests. No action has been taken.

Clean, renovated apartments with everything you could need for a getaway. Aircons in each room of the apartment was very appreciated. The pool was a welcome inclusion. A great budget hotel in the heart of Darwin. Such a beautiful garden entrence and all the way through the entire apartments. The facilities in side are of fairly good quality. Good service by the staff. We asked to have a high chair and a portable cot, they didn't have them i the room when we arrived but they were very apologetic and got them to us straight away which was fantastic. The only thing is the hot water runs out fast so don't have a long shower. But all on all a great place to stay

I wouldn’t ever return here. Left half an hour after check in and fortunately found somewhere with such short notice. The bathroom was not cleaned (toothpaste on the wall, glass was filthy), the pool was dirty and the aircon did not cool the very small room down at all. The day prior I was advised I would be priority check in and would receive a text message when the room was ready however never received the text. Arrived at 3pm and the key was still not in the ‘Dropbox’. There’s no reception area either. Found the whole thing very dodgy. Don’t waste your money.

Very Good Morning- found the best place to sleep in town. Excellent location and view & amenities were fabulous. Clean & modern & all you need. Huge balcony across city to lounge around & relax .
Robyn S — Google review
The apartment was presented neat and clean. Depend on booking selected, some aspect may differ. The living area is an open space combining lounge and kitchenette. Lounge area included a three seated sofa and a single sofa chair with leg rest, accompanied by abundance of cushions. Other furnishing includes 50 inch smart tv, coffee table, working desk, luggage rack, a small diffuser (byo fragrance) and a large dehumidifier. The kitchenette is accompanied with dining table and five dining seats. The kitchenette, if you can call it that, is fully equipped with every utensils and instruments needed for any occasion. Notable items are induction cooktop with rangehood, dishwasher, plenty of cups, mugs and glasses, and coffee plunger. Two split systems aircon, one for living area and one in the sleeping space. The bedroom has a large bed, possibly queen size (two singles put together), with extra bath and pool towels neatly stowed away inside the wardrobe, as well as iron and ironing board. Bathroom with a large bathtub is kitted with full amenities; hand soap, hand lotion, bodywash, shampoo, and hair conditioner. Washing machine and dryer is also in the bathroom with laundry liquid provided. In conclusion, the apartment is equipped with everything you need to live in it comfortably. Convenient location. Highly recommended. Treat yourselves to a wonderful view on the 17th floor.

During our two weeks in the Top End, due to the tours we had planned, we would be returning to darwin three times, so required three bookings, we chose to base ourselves at the Harbour Suites due its great location - its right opposite the best fishing tackle shop ;-), proximity to all of Darwins attractions, supermarkets etc and most importantly the value and service provided by Sheryl. from the time of booking, when she was very helpful with providing us with the best rooms, accommodating our request to leave luggage and just being responsive to any questions we had during our stay. All rooms where well presented, and had everything we need for each stage of our holiday (spoilt us bit for the other accommodation we had) The rooms we had for our first two visits overlooked the outer harbour and had spectacular sunsets, while the room on our last stay face the other way, and we got to see just as spectacular sun and moon rises. This would be the first place I book on my next trip to Darwin
David M — Google review
What an absolute scam this place is. Came to Darwin only to be told our rooms were “cancelled” last minute. Never received any cancellation message, we even got a confirmation on the day to explain how to check in. Why send a confirmation for check in hours before arriving if our rooms were “cancelled”? So after getting our key from the lock box we went up to our room only to find there was already someone staying in there. Imagine other guests having access to your room and all your stuff… that’s exactly how theft happens??! Regardless of whether we opened the wrong room as the owner says in their response, why can the key we were given open multiple rooms? My point still stands. Seriously don’t book here. Whoever is running this joint is clearly incompetent. They wouldn’t take any of our phone calls to discuss and the whole thing was super unprofessional. Left us stranded after arriving from Sydney at 8pm on a Saturday night. Had to find accommodation which was a nightmare. The motel down the road was better. Save yourself the hassle

Good location-near supermarket, bars, restaurants and tourist attractions Room-large and well maintained but nothing special. $300 a night for one person in a rom that is only cleaned every 7 days is not great value but Darwin is expensive Other-Pool was not available :(. Me and a friend stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks. We first had a room in the back of the building with no real windows, which is what we booked but we still asked if we could be put into a room with a window. They were really friendly and said they will see what they can do and sure enough next day we were upgraded. The cleaning staff was lovely and very friendly as well as the reception. They had live music almost every night but that wasn’t annoying. The Cavenagh also offers a kitchen with literally anything you would need. The pub was very popular with the locals and tourists. Pool area was clean and nice too. Overall a great stay. Central to everything in Darwin and good quality.

Ended up here unexpectedly but lived it. I was in the 6-bed female dorm. Very high standard. Big room, hotel amenities and also large fridges available. Bring ear plugs and eye mask as the fans run all night and it’s kinda light inside. The location of the hotel and the pool were highlights for me. It IS noisy though. There’s a big tour booking space too.

We haven't been for a while. The steaks are still very good and cooked as we ordered it. For a 105$ dollar steak (850g ribeye) at this price point you would expect a proper jus not a KFC style gray and salddressing house made.

I'm an Asian young girl traveling alone and staying at this hotel. The hotel itself is great, but I wouldn't recommend the restaurant. The food is good, but while you're sitting there quietly eating by yourself, some creepy, drunk older white men may suddenly come over and try to lecture you or tell you what to do. It's a case of double discrimination—both gender and race. They expect you to be like a sweet little cake, easy to manipulate, even when you're just sitting there minding your own business and not bothering anyone. It's really embarrassing because all the Indigenous people I've met here have been friendly.
Claire Y — Google review
I used to be regular here but nowadays they don’t allow you to stay outside after 11, basically depends on the mood of the security guy. Sometimes they allow with a minimal noise which is absolutely understandable but 1 security doesn’t. Please do update this in the website saying we are not allowed to drink outside. I just wanted some peace and couples beers after a long day shift. Definitely not gonna be my everyday again.

Loved our overnight stay. The security guard/driver who picked us up in the shuttle was super helpful. The airport shuttle service is very efficient. The rooms are big. The pool is fantastic. Great coffee. All the staff are happy and helpful. Recommend a stay when transiting between flights.

This hotel really surprised us! The reception, gardens, pools and spas are incredible! The cafe, the bar, the open air dining area - stunning! We only stayed one night after flying in late. It was perfect for weary travellers. The room we got wasn’t anything fancy but it was clean, tidy and everything we needed. Our kids LOVED the pool. There’s a kids splash park, a beautiful spa, and cabanas for the adults. We wish we stayed longer now! Especially now we know they have 2 bedroom apartments! The young girl at the cafe was also so friendly, and made beautiful coffee. Would highly recommend ending a busy holiday here for a few nights before you fly back home to reality, and a night or 2 here if you’re flying in late.

Had a quick one-night staycation here and really enjoyed it! The pool was amazing — definitely the best part, so relaxing and perfect for unwinding. The dinner and buffet breakfast were both great, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room wasn’t very clean, which is understandable for its age, but still okay for a short stay. It’s right next to the airport and offers free parking across the road (unshaded) or better parking for $20/night. Overall, a nice and relaxing experience that felt worth the price.

Walking distance from the airport even the provide free shuttle bus service. As Accor Platinum guest, I got a nice room upgrade. But the sofa has many many many tiny cockroaches, lucky I got a big two bedroom so I still manage to sleep in a clean room. Staff are very attentive, welcome gifts are great. Great value for the stay with AMAZING facilities!

The check in process for all three hotels located here is completed at the same desk. Despite the hardworking and pleasant people behind the desk, there was a constant line of at least 12 people deep—at midnight!! Management needs to evaluate its processes to have keys made in advance, etc so check in is streamlined and very tired patrons are not made to wait 15 minutes or more to check in. Also, the car parking is across the street which we did not learn until after we finally got to check in. This should be publicized more effectively as this further delayed our ability to get to our room. The room itself was clean, thankfully. That said, the curtains didn’t shut, there were no facial tissues, terrible pillows and only two smallish towels provided. We were thankful that we only booked this location for one night.

The pool is nice and relaxing , the food at the bar is good . I m giving 3 stars for the cleanliness. I think common space like table around the pool , bathroom and shower facilities do need more attention , i visit thin place at least once at week and I ve noticed sometimes this areas are not very clean . Maybe the cleaning staff need more training or need to focus more on this particular areas of the facilities. Ps I did report this issue to reception few times already

Went for dinner Friday night. The meal was terrible, crispy pork was soft and chewy, steak was overcooked and the menu said meat was with sweet potato mash... it was no more than 1 spoonful. For $38 it could not be called a meal. Our drink order was misplaced, we asked 3 times before we went to the bar to get ourselves. The staff member apologised and removed the drink charge.. thankyou for that. Everything was so much better before in the old restaurant on Mercure side. If you are staying there I would suggest an Uber to Hibiscus and eat at Bills .
Jane M — Google review
Unbelievable how slow the check in process is. Arrived at the airport. Shuttle took 30 minutes to pick us up. Then we get to reception and there is three people serving And taking about 10 minutes per person to check them in. It was a queue of about 15 people. We finally get to the counter and the lady says, you could’ve used the self-service check-in kiosk. Right next to reception. Poor communication and slow service at 1am In the morning. Get better Novotel.

Very comfortable place to stay. Nice size rooms, clean and friendly staff. Enjoyed my stay. Only drawback us they don't have a guest laundry. They do have a dry cleaning service, which of a week end doubles in price. But do you self a favour and give it ago. On our 5 night stay, we saved $500 compared to hotels on the Esplanade.

Very nice hotel, beautiful and comfortable rooms. Awesome location, walking distance to everything. However, poor selection of beers available and some of the male bar staff seem to have a attitude problem, the female bar staff and front of house staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The Chef and kitchen staff do a simply amazing job! Every meal was exquisite 👌. Great outdoor smoking area and beautiful pool and garden setting.

We booked 3 nights with breakfast yet was told by the dining room staff every morning that our breakfast wasn't included. Each time they then checked with reception who confirmed that we did have breakfast included. We shouldn't have bothered because the hot buffet breakfast was at best lukewarm on every occasion, the bacon was as tough as old boots, the sausage was far too spicy and the scrambled egg had way too much salt added. I don't think we will be coming back, certainly not for breakfast. I reckon they need a visit from Gordon Ramsay.

First time stay. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, though was disappointed in QC as my room still had an unmade bed from the previous occupant(s). Front reception staff handled the error quickly and professionally.

Carpet in room was heavily stained. No cold water in fridge or even a jug to put water into. No dark blinds to block out sunlight. Very comfy bed though.

Front office manager Scherymae and her staff were very welcoming and professional . They are very attentive to any of our requests. The room was very clean and housekeeping staff were very friendly. The location is very close to all shops. Made our holiday in Darwin a memorable one. Will definitely recommend Courtyard.

A very central & perfect place to stay, friendly & helpful staff. Highly recommended. I wouldn't hesitate to use Courtyard by Marriott again.
George B — Google review
We, a party of four, recently stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Darwin (formerly The Smith Hotel Darwin, rebranded in early 2025) for a period of five nights, despite our initial booking for six, due to a midnight departure flight. Upon check-in, an incident occurred in one of the rooms, where the air conditioning unit, positioned directly above the bed, malfunctioned and leaked a significant amount of water onto the bed during the night. As a result, we were required to relocate to another room at that late hour, which was a Saturday, and maintenance staff were unavailable. This incident significantly disrupted our rest and necessitated considerable time and effort to resolve. While the hotel management did provide a card of apology, no further action was taken. Our assessment of the hotel's physical infrastructure is that it is barely adequate, and while the staff were generally friendly, some areas could benefit from enhanced training to improve their professionalism. The hotel's location is satisfactory, and convenient access to transportation services such as Uber is available.

Fantastic hotel!! Very comfortable and clean, it’s a great spot if you’re wanting to explore the NT and not just Darwin, we did day trips to Litchfield and Adelaide River. Great restaurant for dinner and we had lovely drinks by the pool. We had planned to stay at a different hotel for our second weekend in Darwin after travelling to Kakadu, but we loved it so much we booked to go back here instead. Thank you!
Charlotte — Google review
I had a very frustrating experience with Rydges Hotel. Initially, they confirmed availability for the dates I needed and everything seemed to be in place. However, shortly afterward, they retracted the offer, saying there was no availability after all. This last-minute change caused significant inconvenience and disrupted my travel plans. It's extremely disappointing to deal with such poor communication and unreliability from what I expected to be a reputable hotel. If you're looking for dependable service and a stress-free booking process, I suggest looking elsewhere. I won’t be considering Rydges Hotel for future stays.

Best hotel I have stayed at in 15 years. The service from arrival to departure was par-excellence. Great hotel, with clean and functional amenities. Not staying anywhere else on my next visit. Highly recommended.

My husband made a phone booking with his credit card. My daughter arrived before we did and Rydges charged her credit card. My husband asked them to refund it to her account as she is an apprentice and under 18. They refunded her account and then charged him. They then charged my daughter again. We have been charged twice for one room. When we rang them, they told him it will take at least three days to return the money. They took it out immediately but can't refund it immediately. That is poor form. Be careful they do not charge you twice. Won't be staying here again

Frontier needs to invest in upgrading the rooms, cupboards were not stacked up with extra pillows and blankets. Shower was hard to switch over from bath to shower (very old). No room service , no upstairs restaurant, cabana rooms no longer available in the wet season. They don’t accept cash lol and misinformed when paid deposit by card, does not take half an hour to return back to your bank!? Try 3-5 days which is just rude. And rooms only comes with 2 pillows. It would be lovely to see totally renovated and restored
Niki D — Google review
For budget accommodation this place is pretty good! We stayed for 4 nights and we were comfortable. The service is amazing at reception, these guys are wonderful! The beds are clean and comfy - the shower and hot water is top shelf (& there's a bath tub!). There is a pool, a restaurant and pub (with drive thru bottle shop) off to the side. There are washing machines and driers ($4 each) and a gym. Also free WiFi that works throughout the building. Front doors lock after 9pm and pin code is required to gain access. The lifts are a little slow, but you get there in the end. There is free parking around the building - first in, best parked 😁 Unfortunately - the treadmill in the gym faults out and doesn't work. The WiFi connection to the TV drops out so trying to watch netflix was painful and didn't happen, but the free to air channels worked fine. No microwaves, but there was a kettle, milk, coffee and tea. Also, the rooms contain safes. You can hear other rooms doors open and close and the shower from the next room, but 🤷🏽‍♀️ *budget* is the name. Cannot fault and would definitely stay again if I needed a bed for a night, or 4!
Bernice M — Google review
Very disappointed spent 4 days There last week - the elevator needs to be serviced, it sounds like it's just gonna get stuck - the stairwell needed more lights and more signage - the carpet was just stained - had dirty towels and dirty linens - the bathroom door had stains near the handle - when fresh hand towels was returned they was dirty - on the website it had room service But there was no phone or menu so had to go down stairs - no microwave to reheat food so it ended up being a lot of take out - the sounding of the rooms wasn't great and others just kept going in and out all hours slamming the doors every time. Which then woke me up every time. - the locking on the doors it self needs to be upgraded to a safer model The positive side: - did order a burger from there which was great. Lovely service from the staff in the bar - the location was great for the airport / shops/ the city and the botanical garden
Tyler C — Google review
Everything in the rooms is old and the whole place needs a major renovation and upgrade. Only two flat pillows on the bed. Bathroom was really old. This place needs to be advertised as an absolute budget hotel, however, the price DOES NOT reflect "budget". Way too expensive for what you get. Swimming pool was not inviting at all, I would not go in there. Gym was locked and you have to ask for it to be unlocked. Service was lacking. Place is run by foreigners and their standard is obviously pretty low. Do yourself a favour, pay a few extra dollars and go elsewhere. This is no better than a backpackers lodge.
Megan A — Google review
Interstate friends were staying there, so I picked them up from there most days. They said that it was one of the buildings that survived Cyclone Tracey 50 years ago. The room they stayed in had the shower over the bath, but overall clean and comfortable. There is also a brilliant pool with modern surrounds and a BBQ for guests to use. In-house laundry and gym. I had dinner with them one night in the sports bar and the food was delicious.
Linda W — Google review
Bit rundown, but the price reflects that. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was fine with fridge and tea-making facility. Bathroom really needed some work and the shower was terrible. Nice pool. Has bar and restaurant. Great location walkable (15 mins) to town, supermarkets, botanic gardens and Mindel Beach.

Located on Mitchell Street, it provides a central location for travelers looking to explore the town and enjoy the nightlife. The hostel features an outdoor pool, a lively bar with music playing during the day, and a social atmosphere that makes it easy to meet other travelers.
The vibes are 10/10, I came solo and met lots of friends just chilling around the pool and during the free dinners/ fun night activities. It’s not a luxury hostel but it’s got a real family feel, the staff will get you sorted and make you feel welcomed. Also the location is super convenient, next to the bars and close walk to everything. Will stay again when I’m back in Darwin.
Victoria G — Google review
The real kicker is the staff here are incredibly rude. They had no patience with me when I was checking out. They should seriously look into getting new staff. The rooms are small. Beds are conformable enough with good AC and a curtain for your bunk. Also a sink in your room which is great. Everyone there is pretty sociable. The location right by all the bars is nice for the weekend but if you are not going out for the night the constant loud base and music sucks.
I - — Google review
It’s the perfect spot for backpackers looking for a laid-back, social atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and always happy to help with anything. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning is a lifesaver in the Darwin heat. The location couldn’t be better—right in the middle of the city, walking distance to shops, bars, and the waterfront. If you’re in Darwin and looking for a fun, affordable, and social place to stay, Youth Shack is a great choice!
Fauve M — Google review
My god the price of this hostel is unforgivable for the state it’s in. No plugs to charge your devices only 2 between 4 people and the response I got when I questioned this was “why don’t you get an extension at Cole’s” and I simply said “and I’m meant to pay for that like????” Crazy response honestly. It’s very loud here it is a party hostel which isn’t a bad thing but honestly you’re getting no sleep. And lastly the rooms are so small like you’re literally on top of each other. NEVER STAYING EVER AGAIN
Esel M — Google review
Cannot recommend to stay there, although the location is top. The rooms are on the simpler side, the floors are a little dirty. But the worst part is that there are multiple signs of people which should not be allowed back in the building (My understanding is that this is linked to the broken fridges) which made me feel unsafe. The music is not loud in the rooms per se. But I have to add that the employees are so very nice and helpful.
Melina Y — Google review
Great place to stay! Staff were super helpful and have a lot of local tips. The location is perfect, close to all the main attractions. It’s a great spot to meet people and make new friends. Highly recommend for solo travelers!

decent hostel to stay, very loud bcause next to pub. but that's ok my room was far enough, its soundproof room. arrived in Darwin at 12.30AM,request late check in but replied me "subject to availability",which is weird. you should leave a box outside and put the key inside envelope or anything with my name, room number, floor level etc in it,then you could send me the box code through the booking app/website, it will be so much easier for late check in. fyi, many flights arrive at midnight, there should be a proper way. fix your management!!
Ardi V — Google review
This is unacceptable. For an accommodation that hosts over 400 people, having only three working gas stoves—and often without any gas at all—is simply not okay. It’s impossible to cook, and there’s constantly a queue or nothing available. A basic kitchen setup is the minimum you expect from a hostel. Very disappointing.

My family enjoyed our one week stay in Vitina. Was worried abt check in but the staff gave clear instructions and we could access our room despite arriving after midnight. Room for 3 is pretty spacious and clean. Toilet was a little too small and water pressure for shower on the weaker side. Nonetheless, the staff service was impeccable. Complimentary breakfast is simple but perfect for a great day start. Else, there are cafe options within walkable distance as well. For laundry, the washing machine can wash a decent load and dryer drys perfectly well. It operates by coins and u can change the coins at the reception. Just be aware laundry can only be done fr 9am to 7pm. Love the location as well. Its quiet at night and we could rest properly. Very satisfied and worth it's value!

This accommodation is great value for money. We stayed in a ground floor studio which was great as we had a small garden area. Staff are fantastic and so lovely. 10/10 for cleanliness very impressive. Continental breakfast is nice, not too many options but for $25 you can buy a big breakfast which is huge and more than enough for 2 people to share. Area is quiet with minimal road noise and comfortably central to most things. Pool is also an asset. Thank you for a lovely stay 🙏

Great, quiet location – about 20–25 min walk to the Greyhound station, 15 min to Woolworths and other shops. Clean and comfy rooms with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron, A/C and fan. Photos are accurate. Tasty complimentary breakfast, laundry facilities with free detergent. Staff were super friendly and helpful – even let me stay a bit longer on check-out day. As a female solo traveller, I felt very comfortable here. Great value for money – would happily stay again when in Darwin. Highly recommend!

The bed was big and comfy and we had an awesome balcony overlooking the Bay. The hotel is close to Mitchell St & Darwin Waterfront. The manager was happy to give us a late check-out when requested. If you want 5 star then you have to pay for 5 star!! We were happy with what we paid for & would definitely stay again.

Staff extremely rude and abrupt with no empathy towards guest services whatsoever. Pillows thin as the sheets, no dooner or blanket only a sheet. We had to wait 4+ hours for a blanket and pillows and when we finally did housekeeping didn't even knock just walked straight into our room unannounced. Room furniture old and/or broken

We expected bottom of the barrel as everything booked out but were very pleasantly surprised. Spotlessly clean room, good location close to middle of town. Room presentation dated but no damage, roomier than expected, comfortable and everything worked well, car park provided, bit snug but worked fine. The pool was a big surprise, inviting and cool. Reception area bit ordinary but service could not be faulted. Clearly staff work well and hard to make it all work out.

A bit "eeew!" for the price. The bed seems clean but the rest of the apartment seems questionable. The rooms are outdated but do have the basic necessities for an apartment. You won’t find a better, reasonably priced & centrally located premises right in the heart of town. I’ve stayed there several times and every room is clean, modern and exceptionally well appointed. Thanks again for making my stay awesome once again.

The hotel was at a good location and Leanne was friendly and helpful. The room was equipped really well, especially the kitchen area. On both days I stayed there housekeeping was in the room while I was away during the day. When I came back in the evening there were always cockroaches in the room, I guess the door was left open during the day. The second day I came back the door wasn’t closed correctly, so anybody could’ve just entered my room the whole day. There were also about 5 cockroaches I had to catch and a lot more dead under the bed. I was told I could leave my luggage at the Hotel after I’ve checked out until 3pm. When I checked out I was told that I can only leave it there until 1pm, because it’s quite today and they would leave earlier. I could left my luggage at the Sister Hotel (which was like 20 min walking distance). It was okey that there was an option but it was a bit annoying because I was first told I could leave it until 3pm.
Julia L — Google review
An ok place if you're only on a quick stay. The rooms are ok, comfortable enough, & the bed was good. The A/C rumbles all night, regardless of being on dry or cool, and the shower hadn't been cleaned - grime & hairs clearly visible. It's centrally located, and reasonably priced. I probably won't stay here again.

Older but Clean Hotel with a central Location in Close distance to waterfront and Bars. In contrast to other Reviews, we Had no mould or cockroaches. However, some of the rooms are facing the Backyard of bigger Hotels, which sometimes led to a quite heavy noise Level in late evening or early morning due to waste disposal. Still good Value!

Rooms were ok. Clean on arrival. We had the family room and it was just 2 bunk beds with one being a double on the bottom. There was also a fridge and sink. The letdown was the cleaning and service. We stayed 3 nights and at no point did we have our rubbish emptied nor were we given new towels without asking, let alone have the room cleaned. Our milk and coffee/tea was not replenished either. For a 3 star hotel you would expect this, especially for over $300 per night. Otherwise great location and pool nice.

As a solo female, I was anxious about my first trip to Darwin to visit a family member in hospital. High level of security, pool, serviced apartment to work in between hospital stays, on site car parking, nearby shops, cafes etc. was high on my list as well as facilities within the apartment for in house catering. I couldn't have picked a better place to stay. I even inspected the disabled apartment for my family member on discharge, and they were great too. The reception team were helpful with directions and guidance on anything I was looking for including eating out, activities and supermarket. Would definitely recommend.

We booked a 1 BR apartment for 5 nights over Easter and were thrilled with the accommodation, location and extremely helpful and caring staff. Parap is a location I hadn’t staying in before but it proved to be a lovely leafy area with many great shops, coffee shops etc within walking distance. The apartment itself was a great size with plenty of room to relax, a good size balcony, washer & dryer and a full kitchen. The 1BR features a King bed which was extremely comfortable. Our living area & balcony overlooked the pool and BBQ area and was very relaxing. We would return here in a heartbeat!

Stayed with them for a month, I don't have anything to complain about. Kind and helpful staff, and easy to approach. (special mention to Maddie in the Front Desk) The room is always tidy. (They clean my room every single day) good location.

The staff were amazing, the rooms were very clean, no issues at all. Great location, carparking off street was so effortless. Great hotel & will definitely recommend this accommodation to all my family & friends in Darwin & interstate

AC wasn't working when I first arrived, took two attempts to get someone to look at it, but when I got back from food shopping it was all fixed. Had a comfortable sleep. Location is quiet.

Absolutely fantastic team at Hudson Apartments, Parap. Thank you to each of the staff for their excellent service and care. The month I visited was relaxing and comfortable due to the rooms, and service each one of the staff provided. I recommend to anyone travelling on a short or longer-term stay, for comfort, security and excellent, high quality service. Thanks, team.

We have just had three wonderful weeks here with two other couples on powered sites Narelle went above and beyond settling us all in .Convenience of store and a great Tavern at you’re doorstep we would definitely be back Thankyou
Kerry P — Google review
We were very disappointed with the area around the caravan park as for untidiness..Site next to us was disgusting with rubbish ..had a stump which was huge in our bay and a very large rock so only half was usable with blind out.The toilet paper was empty three times with no spare. And just generally was not mown and unkempt..As for location it was brilliant..but on arrival we were told 65 but will do it for 55 ...find out it's advertised at 55..Dont lie please.
Vallereen I — Google review
Had a wonderful stay at Boomerang. The owners and staff (Ralph aka Narelle)were very friendly and obliging. The rates were the best we found in Darwin. The pool was great and the gardens and grassed areas made relaxing enjoyable. The park is also adjacent to shop and fuel station which we found convenient.
Heather H — Google review
Ralph is amazing, Jessie was so easy going. These people really listen and care. Im so happy.
JJ L — Google review
Cheapest campsite we could find near Darwin. Good for the price. The kitchen is very basic. The cooking utensils are provided, which is great, but there's only one small fridge for the whole campsite so found room to be an issue. Also no microwave and very dated cooking hob. Bathroom facilities also basic and dated. Overall, functional and good value for money.
Faye R — Google review
Too noisy from hwy. Otherwise nice clean park . No service/reception.
Lynda S — Google review
Narelle alias Ralph was most welcoming and helpful. When we had to extend our stay she went out of her way to leave us in our spot. Meant a lot of juggling for her. Pool and amenties very clean. Nice shady grassy sites . Enjoyed our stay
Deb W — Google review
I would have to congratulate the owner's the lady (Narelle) was absolutely awesome beinga local new all the right places. . I think the park for what you pay is reasonable. Could do with a microwave prehaps a tidy around the park of debris also a bigger fridge. Pool area very clean and tidy. Can't comment on the rooms as we camped would definitely stay again

Cullen Bay is a picturesque spot known for its excellent fishing opportunities, with species like Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Trevally, Queenfish and Golden Snapper commonly caught in the area. The large rock wall in front of Cullen Bay is ideal for fishing during the last run out tide. Additionally, the floating pontoon at Cullen Bay Marina Lock offers great fishing spots during different tides.
Love visiting Cullen Bay whilst in Darwin. Great cafes and water front views. Fish feeding at the Greek restaurant was a real treat. We just stopped in for coffee and a cake. Great ferry tours of Darwin Harbour available from Sealink ferries too

What a beautiful place. I love Cullen Bay. Restaurants overlooking the marina and the beach. A large park looking out over the water. Many people come here to watch the sunset, it's a popular place. We started our harbour cruise from here. We found it easy to get a park during the day.

The motel provides a serene atmosphere, cleanliness, and exceptional affordability, making it a great choice for budget-conscious travelers seeking quality and comfort.
I've been working in the NT for the past 6 months and Casa on Gregory has been my favorite place to stay. The staff are wonderful to chat with and very helpful. Rooms are well sized and beds and pillows are very comfortable. There is a great cafe across the street and nice restaurants within a short walk. My only complaint is that the wifi is only available in certain areas, however I'm told this will be fixed very soon. Thanks to Leanne and her daughter for their hospitality!

Great room. Very clean and tidy. Handy kitchenette upstairs and BBQ. Parap is perfectly located near everything and the Saturday morning markets are literally next door. Walking distance to the ski club, bowls club and the trailer boat and sailing clubs too.

I checked in late, no information folder therefore no wifi password didn't know about power switch so no bed lamps lucky I had torch. Hair dryer broken. Very noisy generator outside could not sleep tried TV, but didn't work. No ceiling fan handle, hard to turn and only one speed. Very small bathroom. Walls very dirty. Mould at bottom of front door smelt bad and stuffy. Never again.

I had to use Casa On Gregory for a 7 night stay for a recent golf tournament. Leanne at the front desk was very helpful and professional. Room met all my needs and the pool and spa are a great touch. Would stay here again if I am in Darwin.

The apartments are well-appointed, clean, and come with great amenities including free undercover parking. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making communication excellent. The area is wheelchair accessible, making it stress-free for families with special needs.
Pete & Yve..March 2025….We have just returned from our weeks stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. The apartment was on the top floor at the front overlooking the harbour, it had everything you could want for an enjoyable break, great view, comfortable bed and furnishings, also a gift pack of biscuits, dip, chocolates and wine; The gentleman who checked us in could not have been any more obliging, explained everything to us to make it so easy. Location wise, walk out the ground floor door and a variety of restaurants and shops are there. Also a great water park for the kids and adults alike. There is not one thing that you couldn’t like about these apartments. We will be back for sure.
Peter C — Google review
The accommodation was just as described and had everything required for a more than comfortable stay. Very close to all amenities including water park fun for the kids. Can't rate highly enough and the assistance from staff was excellent. We'll be heading back without a doubt.

This venue was lovely, the setting was outstanding and the views were amazing. The rooms were well appointed and clean, the only downside was that I did see cockroaches in the kitchen on two nights .. but aside from that, my stay was pleasant.
Carlos B — Google review
Just returned from beautiful Darwin. The apartment was fantastic. As we have a son in a wheelchair, this location and beautiful accommodation was perfect for us. Every where we walked was accessible for my son and a holiday with no stress. Thankyou waterfront short stays for making our 7 day holiday very special ❤️

Very comfortable with great views. Good location, close to several restaurants and a 10 to 15 minutes walk to downtown Darwin City.
John C — Google review
Brilliant location, we feel very safe. Lots of delicious restaurants with happy hours. Beautiful sunrise view and view of the waterfront and bay. Free Undercover parking to keep the car cool with easy access. We arrived late and key was easily accessible with instructions. Plenty to see and do around Darwin. Main st is easy walking distance. Room was air conditioned on arrival and nice snacks and drinks awaiting to be devoured! Beds are comfortable. Staff are lovely! Amenities and facilities great. Kitchen complete with all you need and a balcony Ziggy bbq. We went to Mr Barra and bought fresh prawns to cook up on the BBQ served with chilli pineapple salsa. Would definitely return and stay here and glad I didn’t choose to stay in the heart of main Darwin this is much nicer! We hired a car and drove to Litchfield National park(on my list as a must do) Berri springs (take a pool noodle) casuarina shopping centre to buy the noodle. Mindil markets and sunset(get there early so you don’t miss it… lots of food trucks and the wood fire pizza is so delicious!) Ella by Minoli restaurant, Hot Tamale, Oyster Bar, Pink Chopsticks and Chow were amongst our favourite places to eat. You can take a picnic down to the beach club and slurp on a Pina colada(beach club open Thursday to Sunday for drinks) or take your own drink. All up our first visit to Darwin will definitely not be the last!
Cherrie P — Google review
Booked the 3BR apt for a week. Apartment was reasonable good with a welcome pack of drinks and chocolate. Location was excellent with half view to inside beach and full view to the sea port of Darwin. We found the dish washer wasn't working and notified the office from the 1st day, however this was overlooked until the 4th day and never work during the full week we stayed. Midweek room service wasn't done as requested and when we call, the manager said he didn't remember the room number and said nothing he can do until the next day. We came back tired after a full day out and found the room hasn't been done and no fresh towers so it's very bad feeling. With the high price paid for this apartment, this error is unacceptable.
Ngan N — Google review
At first I was disappointed that the nearby hotel was fully booked, but in the end I feel we ended up with a better option. The apartment was well clean and very well appointed; we had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full laundry, lounge, balcony, kitchen and with internet connected tvs and wifi. The staff very friendly and helpful. The communication excellent, including accomodating our out of hours arrival and departure. The location couldn’t be better. As an accomodation option for a family vacation in Darwin, I can not highly enough recommend the Darwin Waterfront Short Stay Apartments.

Great budget style accomdation with a range of rooms to cover most needs. From dormitory shared rooms, single rooms with shared bathrooms upward to suit most budget travellers. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of rooms and shared areas, eg communal kitchen was really clean as was the bathroom i was accessing from the room i was in. Beautiful gardens around the well maintained pool area at the reception area of the site. On a main road and yet no noise was heard from traffic other residents. Manager was present, accessible and welcoming living on site himself with family. I WOULD recommend and stay again. Good spot to stay 🖒

Cheap and ideal for short stays or workers accomodation. Each room has their own microwave, stovetop and sink with cutlery, bowls, plates, pots and pans provided. Rooms have large space for storage and the staff are friendly and have great customer service skills! The bathrooms are shared with only one shower and toilet cubicle per female and males section which is pretty much the only downfall! Overall Its good for the price :)

Great location .. huge park and waterfront across the road and supermarket and restaurants cafes bars next street, about 3 mins walk away.. central to a lot of things. Nice large basic room.. very clean .. it's an apartment not a hotel. You can make tea coffee etc no housekeeping if you stay a week and you clean up when you leave. There are cups bowl plate cutlery for 2 if you buy takeaway and a small fridge to buy simple food to store. You can use the hotel pool next door. Good free WiFi, quiet and comfortable. Service stars not applicable as we didn't see staff or need them. In all a good place to stay!

Wow!! This place was amazing to stay at. We arrived early but staff upgraded us to a room that was ready. The room was very comfortable with everything we needed. Regular room servicing from extremely lovely housekeepers. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the sunset and listening to the hum of the city.

Location is the only real plus for this place. Rooms & general building is old, average, missing kitchen basics, not overly clean. Supposed to be serviced daily, not once in 5 nights was our room serviced, no clean towels, bed not pulled up etc. works going on around building outside, balcony view was of a crane & extremely noisy, not advised on booking of this. Unable to relax by pool due to constant noise. Overall disappointing accomodation this time round.

Good basic accomodation. Room was good size with large bathroom and plenty of shampoo etc. The room is not serviced which is fine for a short stay. Nice location on the Esplanade. No actual hotel Staff just security on the desk. No information in the room for local amenities or what to do with your rubbish for example. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights checked in Friday night the lady on reception was lovely she explained there was a problem with the card entering the room and assured it would be fixed within 2 hours which was perfect as we were heading out upon arriving home at 12.40am card not working we had to phone the security guard to let us in our room we were definitely not happy, this also happened on the second night arriving home again we had to call the security guard to let us in our room at 11.50pm. Friday night we had to ask reception to give us a bath mat as the shower is in the bath and stepping out onto a tiled floor is dangerous especially as we are older we had to ask 3 different times and on the 3rd time we finally got one. Apart from these problems the hotel is central and clean
