Large beach of several kilometers where it is good to walk. The color of the water changes according to the weather. Beware the sea is sometimes very rough with a lot of waves. Lots of massage tent all along and many bars and restaurants to enjoy the view.

We weren’t sure whether to bother with this beach initially, a slight concern that it might be crazy busy and full of rubbish etc… however I’m glad we did because it’s one of the most beautiful beaches on Samui. Sand colour on any beach can appear to change from white to yellow depending on the sun/conditions, but the few days we spent here it was white sand and calm blue waters. Theres loads to do with bars, restaurants and sunbeds to rent. Plus jet skis etc for those that are interested. It wasn’t too busy in June and there was no hassle from beach sellers. The planes coming in and out of Samui Airport made for an interesting back drop too.

Nice beach with clean water and clean sands. Some areas have shallow water so we did have to walk around it and find a good side. Many water sports activities available and some vendors. There are many cafés all around.

Chaweng Beach is truly beautiful – soft white sand, clear water and a long, wide shoreline that’s perfect for swimming, walking and relaxing. It’s one of the nicest beaches on Koh Samui, with a great balance of scenery, comfort and atmosphere. One thing to be aware of is that from around July there can sometimes be jellyfish in the water. I personally didn’t encounter any, but it’s something worth keeping in mind. Also, don’t listen to people who claim that July is “dry season” on Koh Samui – that’s simply not true. It does rain, and the weather can be cloudy and unpredictable. While Samui is usually drier than other parts of Thailand at that time of year, it’s definitely not a guaranteed dry season. Overall, though, Chaweng Beach is fantastic and absolutely worth visiting – just be realistic about the seasonal conditions.

Beautiful place. Personally we found that everything is much larger than it looks in the photos. The kids enjoyed exploring the area and watching the fish in the water that surrounds the temple. A calm relaxed and spiritual experience.

One of Samui's popular landmarks - also in close proximity to the Big Buddha - Wat Plai Laem is one of the island's most visited Buddhist temples. The expansive complex is situated and seems to be part of a lake - home to many fishes and turtles. There is a dispensing station where visitors purchase seeded food bowl to throw for the fishes and turtles (and birds). A place to sightsee, take photos, immerse in Buddhist prayers (check and confirm the hours with locals), and a place to give and feed the animals in peace and serene surroundings.

Great place from sacred and spiritual perspective. Great for kids you can feed fish, turtles. A must see if you love cultural experiences. We went off season so there wasn’t a lot of people making it an enjoyable experience

It was a beautiful experience visiting this temple. The Buddha statues were impressive and the atmosphere was very peaceful. Not everything was open, possibly because of the low season, but it was still wonderful to see and feel the spiritual energy of this amazing place.

This wat is barking mad! But worth a visit. Huge and colourful statues of gods. The main temple inside was surprisingly beautiful and detailed. Definitely worth going inside. Many cats and dogs to say hi to. No entry fee but places to donate.

This continues to be the best night market in Samui. There’s an incredible variety of food stalls offering everything from authentic Thai dishes to international favourites. We’re always drawn to the banana cakes, they’re absolutely delicious and this time we also loved the chicken wraps from the vendor next to the central seating area. Any of the Pad Thai stalls are a safe bet too. We skipped the sushi and cocktails due to past experiences, but plenty of other visitors seemed to be enjoying them. We took some time to sit in the centre and enjoy the beatboxer’s performance, he’s genuinely talented and well worth giving a small tip. After eating, we wandered around the market stalls. There’s something for everyone, and the sellers are generally open to friendly price negotiations, as long as you’re polite. We picked up a bag last night, and the bargaining was done respectfully, leaving both sides happy. If you’re in Samui, this market is a must-visit. Come hungry, enjoy the entertainment, and take your time exploring.

Excellent market on 3 nights a week. A great mix of everything from street food stalls to clothes and trinkets. Live music and cocktails and a great atmosphere make a great night out. Plenty of taxis outside if you are not staying in the area. Plus a large car park for those with car or moped.

Bophut beach is located on the north of the island. It is a 3km long nice crescent-shaped beach. Do not expect a crystal water with white sand on that part of the island. Water visibility is not more than 40cm, otherwise the view on Koh Phangan is nice. Beach is quiet compared to the busy Chaweng Beach. Left part (North-west) of the beach is not really good for swimming as the bottom is muddy and there are many tour boats. Some good hotels on that beach with direct access to the popular Fishermans Village (marketing name) which was called Bophut Village till late 2010 ... plenty of international and thai restaurants and shops.

Stunning location. I stayed in a beach front resort in the area. Like many places in SE Asia, plastic and debris washes into the shore. Rather than complain about it, pick it up and collect plastics from the water for the sake of the turtles and other sea creatures.

Beautiful long beach. The sand is a bit coarse-grained, but still not a problem for long barefoot walks. The beach is not overcrowded and there is no vehicle noise. Quiet, very pleasant & relaxing atmosphere and there are some nice restaurants to stop by.

My first ever temple/buddhist place I visited - and I loved it. Beautiful and unique architecture + sculptures. But a lot of tourists - I think if there are maybe a few less it would be more stunning. Cool place.

Very nice view and a few stores around. If you're a woman you have to wear clothes that go below the knees and covers your shoulders - we didnt know this the first time we went. Can also recommend visiting the stores run by the monks right next to it and receive a free wristband.

Really a beautiful place, and the surroundings make it even more special. The temple is in a peaceful spot that already impresses you as you arrive. When entering, you need to take off your shoes, so keep that in mind. Inside, you can also receive a blessing from a monk, which gives the visit a more personal and meaningful touch. In short: a calm, unique place that’s definitely worth visiting.

Shops around there, white dress shops are favorite. Enjoy to pray for my family. And happy to knock the big bells hanging on the ceiling. Exciting statue and we better take our shoes off for paying respects to lord Buddha. Nice views are available on top of the temple. There is a small monastery at base of temple and monk can bless you if you believe in superstition and religion. Peaceful at all.

It was very close to the place where I was staying. Every morning when I went to take a dip in the sea i could see the statue close by. I was intrigued to see it for myself. Very close to the Pier. When I reached here it was quite early in the morning around 9ish, few people around, and I was lucky to witness the place all alone. As the others came to it only after I was leaving. Amazing to see a monk chant the Mantras and feel the tranquility in the air. I enjoyed every second of it. Kinda felt blessed.

Lamai Beach was a good spot for a swim. The water was clear and calm when I went. It was easy to just float around and relax. It wasn't too crowded either, so I didn’t feel like I had to dodge people all the time. Overall, a nice and simple place to spend a few hours in the water.

My 5th time to Koh Samui, I used to always head to chaweng beach, but now much prefer the more chilled and less busy lamai beach. Easy to find bars and restaurants, good to swim and even better to chill and take it all in.

First time back in over 12 years and I was amazed at how they've allowed beach fronted restaurants and resorts to steal so much of this beach! It used to be an excellent beach. It isn't anymore. Yesterday there was no dry section of beach you could sit on. The sea came straight up to the brick and concrete walls constructed to steal beach space. Even on the edges of Lamai where they hadn't constructed walls, they stole sand to raise a platform to place tables and chairs on, then placed ugly sandbags on the beach to stop the sea hitting their raised sand platform! I was quite shocked at how the local authorities have allowed a prime asset to be so degraded.

I loved this beach area from day one because of its beautiful views and peaceful atmosphere. The only downside is the noise from water scooters when they’re running close to the shore—it can get a bit loud at times. Even so, it’s still a quiet and relaxing place to unwind. Plus, you can see the nearby islands from the beach, which makes the view even more special!

Beautiful Beach perfect for quiet sunrises and the sunset is amazing as well. Perfect beach for families, easy parking if your not staying with in walking distance. A must vist while on Koh Samui!

Pretty nice beach, located on Koh Samui. The beach is great to sit on for a long time. It's really open, so it doesn't really have that cozy feeling as on, for example, Silver Beach, but still a great beach! Parking was a bit less convenient when I was there; we had to park by the side of the road, but that was not a very big deal as it was quite near the beach, just a short walk away.

Nice family beach. Free parking in sandy carpark near the middle or enter via any of the resorts and cafes. Best swimming is full tide. Jet skis and efoils and sailing boats and stand up paddle boards (and lessons) all available. Check seasonal forecasts during wet season October to January wet season cause some onshore waves. Some very nice photo opportunity and good value food places. Thai massage huts on the beach too.

Choengmon Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Koh Samui for us. It is a pretty crescent-shaped bay with fine white sand and shallow sloping beach. Very suitable for children. It is quiet compared to Chaweng Beach but offers numerous restaurants, bars and massage facilities. The hotels maintain the beach sections.

Decent beach, lovely soft sand and clear sea water. Jet ski rental prices very reasonable but watch out for the Banana Boat rental. Bht1000 for 2 people to be dragged around the bay twice at a snails pace. Not very exhilarating and way pricier than it should be.

The sea was very calm, like a small lake. The sand on the beach was very nice. We had beach loungers and umbrella at a restaurant on the beach. They turned out to be free, but we had very nice lunch at the restaurant for about 600 baht in total. I had an amazing red curry with seafood.

My Mum and I had an amazing morning at the Sanctuary! Such an important place for elephants in Thailand, a very eye opening experience. I hope more sanctuaries like these can open and these magnificent animals can be treated in the way they deserve. We were picked up from our accommodation and provided with snacks, drinks and a lovely lunch before being dropped off again - all included in the price. We were even provided with insect repellent spray which was very helpful. The staff at the sanctuary are so kind and welcoming, and treat the elephants so well. We helped to prepare food and fed this to the elephants afterwards. The guides give you detail and history of each of the elephants including stories about their personalities! Towards the end of the tour, we were also able to watch the elephants take a short swim and have mud baths afterwards to cool down in the heat! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who visits Samui, there is another sanctuary on the island near Chaweng beach too.

Our visit here was magical. The sanctuary is home to 7 rescued elderly lady elephants and is a truly special place. The guides are friendly, knowledgeable and really want you to get to know the elephants' personalities and backstories. We got to prepare food for them, feed them, watch them splash about in the pool and learn all about their lives. At the end of it all, we also got to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch. We were thrilled to visit such an ethical and heart-warming place and hope they are able to rescue more elephants in the future.

Such a special experience!!! You start by making some food for the elephants, then they lead you on a short loop around the park, meeting the different elephants, learning about their personalities and histories. Finally you have a meal while the elephants eat nearby. I loved the emphasis on helping us get to know each elephant. And they didn't shy away from explaining the horrors that other tourism experiences inflict on animals. This place is doing great work.

They offer 1 hour feeding sessions 4x a day which is why we chose this - with kids it’s so much easier than a 3 hour tour. My 3.5 year old daughter and I made the elephants some biscuits using rice, bananas and other things and then fed them to the elephants. We were close up to 4 friendly elephants and my daughter loved it. Recommend!

Best experience ever! A truly unforgettable and meaningful day, surrounded by these gentle giants. The sanctuary is run with love and respect for the elephants, and you can feel it in every detail. We are so grateful for the opportunity to see them up close in such a natural and caring environment.

We loved this three hour tour. It included an introduction to safety and the history of the elephants. We then made elephant food and fed them. Before the guides took us up into the area where the elephants live to feed them more and see them swim. Great tour guides and the elephants seem genuinely cared for with one person dedicated to staying with each one. In total there are 7 elephants to see. We also loved the vegetarian buffet dinner before the driver (included in your ticket) took us back to our hotel.

This was truly an amazing experience. From the hotel pick up and drop off to the animals and the included lunch. You can tell the workers care about these animals and you get a chance to help make the food to feed the elephants. You get lots of time to watch and interact with the elephants and also learn about them too. They had plenty of cold water and snacks and also buffet lunch which was beautiful! Genuinely an amazing experience all round - would do it all over again! You feel like you’re a part of something as you can donate and contribute to helping these beautiful rescued animals!

Great place to have a change on Samui. Very well kept and maintained. There generally isn’t a lot of people so very relaxing. Kids loved all the rides and you felt comfortable as there is plenty of life guards around.

This place was closed several days during our vacation with a sign on the door stating that they were having some maintenance going on. We wait to go back again today (01/08/2025) and they change the sign saying they will open soon… not sure when that’s going to happen. Nobody answered the phone and nothing about this maintenance working is announced on the website or this business profile. That’s a pity!

A great find in Koh Samui! Although this aquapark is on the smaller side, that actually turns out to be its biggest advantage — there’s no waiting in line for the slides! You can enjoy ride after ride without wasting time, which makes the whole experience much more fun and relaxed. It’s also excellent value for money, especially compared to larger parks where you spend more time queueing than sliding. Perfect for families and anyone who just wants to have fun without the crowds.

Nice water park overall. Clean and tidy. The crew is helpful and kind. The jacuzzi doesn't work. I enjoyed mainly becuase there weren't many people. But it's basically an average water park. Only two slides are good for an adult. Can be perfect for childern and teenagers though.

We visited the water park in July and had an amazing experience! The park is super clean, well maintained, and perfect for families. The staff were kind, friendly, and really supportive with the kids whenever needed. We spent the whole day there with children aged 3 to 9 and they all had a fantastic time. There’s also a lovely sandy playground that added to the fun. Highly recommended for a full day of family adventure!

This old water park is really overpriced. Even so, I decided to pay because I just wanted to enjoy the day with my kids. They list separate prices for adults and children, which makes it seem fair — but in reality, the child ticket my kids got didn’t allow them to use the big slides at all. The sign even says the price is based on height, but that didn’t make any sense either. I honestly don’t understand why they post the sign that way. Also, there are very few attractions inside. So if you plan to come here, make sure you check everything carefully before paying.

This is a complex review as I think you have to account for whether value is achieved. Yes, it is expensive (1,250 for an adult ticket) but this means that there are no queues and every ride is easily accessible and available. Whilst the restaurant is nothing amazing, they make every effort to produce everyone’s food simultaneously and it is decent fare. The lazy river is pretty solid and the kids area is engaging for a range of ages. The price is really the only negative but it does create the accessibility to all rides. My suggestion would be to get there early and to stay until closing to achieve the best value. The park is well located within palm trees so it is easy to grab a sun lounger or five and enjoy the weather.

Tremendous track and coordination. Clean and hyegenic area. Helmets with multiple sizes and clean. Shoes are compulsory but they manage give out a rental. The tarmac is excellent and package price is worth the money. Sending love all the way from Malaysia 🇲🇾

Procedures were explained carefully. Unfortunately race at your own risk as there are no insurance offered. Nevertheless it was fun! Max speed was at 70km/hr

This is a super fun place to visit on Koh Samui. The track is very well maintained and the karts are fast. Racing here with your friends or family is a great way to add some excitement to your vacation.

I woke up today with the intention to go zip lining but after riding my scooter through the mountains I found myself in a an almost Tarzan landscape with rope bridges and huts that had a view suitable for the king. I didn’t contribute in anyway besides this video so I’m gonna upload it on their page. Turns out I can’t upload it but this is an amazing place 10/10

Lovely place! We got lost and found a secret waterfall pond! (And we had bath in it!! Hi hi 😃). Don't try to get there by bike, the road is steep. Don't forget anti-mosquito spray either. Nature absolutely amazing.

Awesome experience and environment, the hosts were very entertaining as well as safety conscious. It cost $2000bhat per person and we managed to get free transfers to and from our resort, normal cars and bikes will not make it up the hill.

We had a wonderful time with Canopy Adventures. A thrilling day zipping across 2000m of canopy at heights almost 80m above the ground at times. Our hosts were very experienced and great, fun company, and took all our photos for us as we navigated the full course. At the end of our experience we were greated with food, fruit and drinks, to help calm the nerves a little, lol. All up a great day and well worth trying.

Mr. Pao the owner is amazing and friendly. Superb experience with lifetime opportunity to do Zip line from one mountain to another. U also get amazing coffee and fries and beer. The slopes are steep. If u r traveling in evening and winding up, the owner will drop you to nearest plateau. A worthwhile experince in the midst of jungles and mountains.

The view was absolutely stunning. I came here in November, so the waves were quite high, but I still loved it here. If you have a car, there have car parking for 30baht Free entry!!

Nothing special just some rock shape, and local market stuff. Good view but nothing special to spend your time on, try to visit a few other places before coming here.

Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks are definitely one of those must-see spots when you're in Koh Samui. Known as the “Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks,” the formations are famous for their unique, naturally shaped appearance — you’ll understand the name as soon as you see them! 😄 The area is small but scenic, with the rocks set against a beautiful coastal backdrop, perfect for a quick photo stop. There’s a viewing platform and some nearby stalls selling souvenirs, drinks, and local coconut ice cream, which is perfect on a hot day. It doesn’t take long to visit, but it's worth stopping by if you're passing through Lamai. Aside from the funny shapes, the local legend behind the rocks adds cultural interest. Parking is available, and the spot is easy to access — just a short walk from the entrance.

We were nearly swept off the rocks by the wind! But it was worth it just to see the famous Grandmother/father rocks. Be sure to wander down to the little cove for a quick swim. And do try the caramel coconut ice cream......

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!!! I would 100% do it again with the same to men. Nu and Ben. They were amazing and so funny. I have never laughed so much in my life and their jokes made everything including the vibe soooo good. They were very respectful if you didn’t like something but still tried to give you the best experience. A man on my team didn’t speak English and I for sure know he also had a great experience. 10/10 experience!

What an awesome morning at Hawk ZipLine with Super Nu, Ben, Jo & Noon. It’s very well set up, I have been to Go Ape in the UK many times and this was run the same way using the same equipment. When you arrive there are lockers for your belongings & if you don’t have suitable shoes you can borrow some for 100 bhat. It’s a 5-10 minute walk up a jungle path to the first zip & it’s well worth the effort. Nu and the team make the whole experience enjoyable and I always felt safe. The whole team join in and make sure your experience is amazing & safe at the same time. I was a little cautious of the abseil, but you can choose fast or slow, I picked slow and it was well controlled, others picked fast (they were braver and younger than me)! I really enjoyed the whole experience & would recommend it to anyone, give it a go :-)

The course was amazing and full of adrenaline, with breathtaking views of the jungle. Every moment was pure fun, from start to finish. The Guides - First & BenZ - Simply the best!!!! They were kind, professional, full of energy and humor, and made sure we had a perfect and enjoyable experience. Safety Above All Equally important, we felt very safe throughout the entire activity. The equipment was like new, the briefing was comprehensive, and the guides adhered to all safety rules in a strict and reassuring manner. This allowed us to truly let go and enjoy the height and the speed. It was a perfect experience in every respect. Highly recommended! Worth every penny spent, and we will definitely return on our next trip.

We had our own transport so I WhatsApp them I few days earlier. From the get go they were more than helpful. I'm glad I contacted them. 💸 On arriving we were offered drinks and snacks, all included in the price. After getting our harnesses on there is a 5-10 walk on an uphill path. This is the most fun activity you can experience in Koh Samui. Start with a short walk for 10mins then it's zip line all the way. I booked the two hour session, team Nu, Benny, Chai and Yoos was very professional and funny 😁 they make you laugh while you zipping through the mountain and trees. It is sooo fun😬😬😬😬😬. I recommend you also buy their photo packages because you can just enjoy the experience and dont have to worry about taking photos on the way. Once again thanks to the team it is very well designed and fun that I will remember as part of Koh Samui👍

Positive thoughts about this place: - The waterfalls are stunning. - There’s no entry fee to visit. - Parking costs only 20 THB if you're using a motorbike. - You can swim and relax in the waterfall area. - There are small stores that sell food, drinks, and souvenirs. Negative points: - As far as I know, the people managing the waterfalls are also involved in exploiting elephants for profit (though I didn’t see any elephants myself). Please avoid supporting that part of the business, as it is not an ethical sanctuary. - Sometimes the shop owners can be a bit pushy or impatient while you're browsing for food or souvenirs. In conclusion: If you go there just for the waterfalls, it can be a wonderful experience. But if you choose to support the elephant-riding business… well, I hope karma finds its way to you when you least expect it :)

Another piece of tranquillity tucked away from the main road. A short walk up the hill with a few stairs down the other side leads to the waterfall. It's a relatively easy walk and shouldn't deter anyone from making the trip. Not a huge flow of water on the day we were there, but that didn't really detract from the sites natural beauty. Swimming is available in the waterhole below the waterfall, if you are brave enough to climb down to the water.

It was a nice waterfall but so many tourists and you had to walk past people selling usual expensive touristy tat to get there. Also there was an awful unethical elephant sanctuary right next to the car park which added to the unpleasant vibe. There were too many people and it didn't feel like a nice place for swimming. I am probably spoilt with seeing other amazing waterfalls because others clearly have a different perspective. The water looked dirty but only because it had rained and that isn't what put me off. I wouldn't bother visiting.

Lovely waterfall that takes 5 minutes to get there, only sad thing is that before you get there, there is an unethical elephant riding and feeding. I would highly recommend not buying or encouraging the engagement with that. Apart from that, very nice, few stores and food.

Na Muang Waterfall 1 is an easy-to-reach and refreshing escape in Koh Samui. The walk from the parking area is short, and you can enjoy the sound of the water and the lush jungle around. The waterfall is not very tall, but the atmosphere feels authentic and peaceful, especially if you arrive early before the tour groups. There are small local stalls selling coconuts and snacks nearby, and you can also take nice photos in the pool area. Great place to relax for an hour or two.

Nice scenic area with plenty of food and drink options but not crazy commercialized. Natural environment in the jungle but easy for all the family to access and enjoy. The waterfall is very pretty and good to swim in, can dry up a little in dry season though. Not completely but there isn’t as much water.

You don’t have to hike to see the waterfalls. You won’t be able to use grab or any other car services. There are taxi drivers on the spot but I think it might be expensive. If you don’t plan on getting in to the water then it’s really like a sight seeing place. Not sure if the elephants are being taking care of nicely since they all have saddles on them and they are all in separate fenced area.

I went with my boyfriend and it was such a great experience. The staff were incredibly warm and really took great care of us. We were given snacks and water, and we also used the hotel transfer service, which was just 200 baht per person from Lamai — super convenient. The garden is absolutely stunning and beautifully maintained — it honestly leaves you in awe. Even though I’m not good at football, I still had a fantastic time!

Fun and unique activity on Koh Samui! The course is well-kept, surrounded by lush gardens, and great for all ages. Staff are very friendly. Not super challenging, but definitely entertaining. Not very cheap but worth it for a relaxed outing.

Samui Football Golf is such a fun and unusual activity, especially if you want a short break from the beaches. As for visiting Thailand for the first time, I really enjoyed it. The idea is simple but clever. You play golf, but instead of clubs you kick a football through 18 different holes, each with its own obstacles and layout. It is a good mix of light exercise and fun competition. The staff were friendly and welcoming. For the entry price, you get a cold drink of your choice and, at the end, a small local coconut dessert and a cute map of Samui with caricatures. It feels nicely organized and thought out. The course itself is clean and well kept, though be ready for the heat. There is very little shade and it gets quite humid, so bringing extra water or a hat is a must. What I liked most was that you can stop or skip parts whenever you want, with paths that lead back to the entrance. That makes it flexible for families or anyone just wanting a relaxed game. Overall, I’d give Samui Football Golf 4 out of 5. A bit hot, yes, but definitely worth it for a fun and memorable island experience.

We went here as a couple, stayed for around 1/1,5 hours. I recommend coming at 4/5 pm because then it is not that hot and sunny any more. The people working there were really nice and welcomed us warmly. In the price of the ticket there is a free drink and a snack when having a break included (and also cold towels). I recommend coming with closed shoes, not barefoot. The golf courses were great and it was really fun to play, even if you've never hit a ball before.

Everything from start to finish was unreal. Best footgolf we have ever done for such good value. We got transfers there and back from our hotel, no rush with time whenever suited and staff were so lovely. Balls, hats all included in the price. Course was super, all holes so well thought out. We got a cold drink, cold towel and coconut pudding on the 11th, was great. Also got a cold towel after the round. Then we got a free map of Samui as a souvenir. Couldn’t recommend any more. One of the highlights of our trip!! 12/10

It is a beautiful, well maintained course. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, I had to give it 3 stars as it was overcrowded. There were three separate groups waiting for another group to finish each hole. I think spacing us out would have been better. It took us 1 hour and 10 minutes to play 10 small holes. We left early due to time constraints (8 holes left)

Beautiful beach with amazing edges full of big rock formations and spectacular snorkeling opportunities. If you visit, DO rent the googles and see what is under the surface. The beach itself is quiet and there are usually not so many y people. On the video, you can see how clean it is, but behind me, there is a trash everywhere. Large piles of it. When you walk around, the garbage is also kinda visible in the sand. There are many plastic pieces,cigarettes and whatnot... There is a little parking where around 5-6 cars can fit. Scooters won't have any issues.

This is such a lovely beach with beautifully clear water. You can even spot little fish swimming in the shallows, which absolutely thrilled my kids. It’s a wonderful place for families to enjoy and feels very peaceful. The only thing to watch out for is some dog poo on the sand everywhere, so just be mindful when walking around. Other than that, it’s a truly delightful spot to spend the day

Loved this beach, quieter than lots of other we visited which was good - Everything you need here from towels, snorkels to burgers and kayaks. Beautiful white salty sand and extremely clean waters. Banana lasso was delicious drinking after a swim and a paddle. Drinks sensible pricyand Kayaks around 300bht per hour, or £6/£7 Uk sterling or €8 ish..

Nice small beach with more thick/pebbles sand. There are only few shadow spots but there are many more snorkeling spots comparing to crystal beache. We manage to watch few fishes but not many to be honest.

good, public beach. good water and wave and good for swimming but not beautiful inside the water, no view if u wanna dive or snorkeling. the water color is pretty, green to blue. the sand is soooo softtttt, niceeee. but noo public toilet to wash urself after swimming. but they say u can wash ur feet in parking lot area. there is some trees that u can use the shadow to chill or take a nap under. so far it's nice to visit. the parking fee is 30 baht.

Loved it. Busy, and not the best visibility on this particular day but there are definitely some interesting reef fish down in this corner with the rocks.

The hike up the waterfall takes about 40 minutes, but the view is definitely worth the effort. Some tourist tips: 🔅Better to arrive early in the morning to enjoy the view peacefully and take photos. We got there by 9 a.m. —there were only a couple of people at the top and a dog😁 By 10.30 a.m. it was already crowded, and the vibe wasn’t the same anymore 🔅Bring water with you (you can buy it at the start of the trail) and insect repellent (!!) —we got literally hundreds of mosquito bites along the way 🔅 Wear sneakers and casual clothing, as at some point the trail ends and you need to climb over rocks We came by scooter, free parking

Walk through the jungle is nice - if you time it right! Lots of jungle tours operate, so you might be caught in a big crowd. The waterfall itself is just a trickle of water, but must change from season to season (!?)… I saw people in flip flops that could’nt continue! I’d advise to Wear trainers as it’s steep and slippery! Enjoy!! If you can get the trail to yourself, it’s beautiful!

We enjoyed a few minutes by this waterfall. Not many other people were there and we weren’t charged for entrance or parking. I didn’t see any mosquitoes but we had a ton of bites appear the next day, come prepared just in case. Steep roads to get there but totally doable for experienced scooter drivers. Definitely not deep enough to swim. About a 5 minute walk from nearest parking.

About a 45-minute trek from the parking lot for cars. Very steep so definitely bring sneakers or other appropriate footwear. Do not do this hike if you are not in decent shape. Fairly treacherous at points. A cool waterfall to bathe in as your reward! Don’t forget bug spray.

When you reach elephant Kingdom turn right and ride a motorbike across the mountain for about 700 meters and you will arrive. And I recommend wearing sneakers and long pants with mosquito repellent spray if you don't want to have a fatal slip accident die and get bitten by mosquitoes. I want you all to be very careful about wearing shoes and walking. Thank you.

Just awesome. Drive up with your moto to the second parking. That a right at the information centre. Walk up to the bar and cross the water there. Keep the waterfall on your right during your climb. You will reach the viewpoint where you can shower and bath in a he waterfall.

⚠️ Warning: Life-threatening danger ⚠️ People have died here — and in my opinion, this happens because the trail is very poorly marked, so it’s not clear where the official path ends. The official and safe route ends at the restaurant and the natural “pool” area. Everything above that point is a wild, unofficial trail. If what I’m saying doesn’t stop you and you absolutely have to climb up there, then do it only in proper, closed shoes and make sure to go only on the left side of the waterfall from the restaurant. The signs are misleading, and many people take the right side, which is a life-threatening danger at every step. The path is very dangerous, and you are deep in the jungle, completely on your own. At the beginning of that “trail” there are some ropes, so it looks like a normal path — and since other people are climbing there, it feels safe. But NO — it’s not! Those ropes are old, and this area is not maintained or meant for tourists. There are no clear signs warning that you’re leaving the safe zone — if we had known that, we would never have gone up there. There are also no signs telling you to turn back once you start climbing. We didn’t cross to the left side of the waterfall because we didn’t know — we climbed up the right side, following cables (thinking that’s the correct route), but it leads nowhere. From that “viewpoint” on the left side of waterfall no one can pick you up — you have to climb back down on your own. Cars only reach the pool area. The part of the waterfall near the restaurant and pool is beautiful and safe, but do not go further up. A sudden rain can make the rocks extremely slippery, and it’s very easy to lose your way — you can end up standing on wet rocks with the waterfall running in front of you and no safe way to continue. About picture: We got this far before realizing it was too dangerous to continue. There were no signs to warn us. Please don’t go past restaurant higher— the rocks are slippery and the current is strong. Stay safe and enjoy the lower OFFICIAL part of the waterfall instead.

We had heard a lot about Coco Tams and we were very excited to visit and celebrate a birthday. We got there early to spend the whole evening there. The staff were attentive and even when it got busier there was still a good level of service and we were never rushed. The fire show was very good and entertaining, if you intend on just visiting for this alone then ensure you arrive no later than 6pm to get a table. The venue itself is very clean and visually very beautiful and right on the beach. The reason for the four stars is because the food was the biggest disappointment. It was very expensive for what it was especially in comparison to very nearby restaurants in the same tourist hotspot. It was only Italian choices which I was surprised at and I would have preferred Thai food options but understandably they are catering for tourists from all destinations. The food was good but it is hard to go wrong with pizza and pasta. There were a good selection of drinks, including cocktails, which were well made but again were more expensive than other nearby places. It is worth a visit as it has a great atmosphere.

A very happening place, the pork dish I wanted to order was sold out. So we ordered the pork ribs instead , which is very good and big portion, could not finish so we packed it, the next day we eat still very nice . The onion soup, pizza rolls, and dessert tiramisu was very nice. To top it off, we saw the spectacular fire show!

Coco Tam's is located in the heart of Koh Samui's Fisherman Village. It's a great place to come for a drink or dinner and in the meantime watch the fire show, while sitting on large cushions placed directly on the beach. Every evening there are two shows: the first at 19:15 and the second at 21:15. We were here in August and arrived just before 7pm. They brought us into a kind of waiting room upstairs, where we could order our first drink. After about 10 minutes, they took us down to the beach before the show started and we took our drinks with us. The show lasts about half an hour and it is a good experience to start an evening in a different way. Admiring the show has no cost, but consumption is requested.

Must see fire show. Beanbags on the beach with food,drinks and sheesha service. Bar attached for bar drinking and restaurant above. Everything you need to get ready for the fireshow. No charge for fireshow.. just relax drink eat and be ready. Local street vendors will offer products between shows but don't press you to buy if you don't want.

An oasis of cool air and cold drinks on any hot and humid day in Thailand awaits at Coco Tam's. Uninterrupted views out over the water, as the boats come and go and you enjoy your cocktail or anything else from their extensive drinks list. The menu has a good range too, with the wood fired pizza a personal favourite. The staff were all very friendly and happy to look after us as we went through preliminary drinks, lunch and one of the best coffees we had whilst in Thailand. A great place to stop as you travel through The Fisherman's Market.

We visited Coco Tams to watch the fire show and sat on the comfy bean bags right on the beach — such a great setup! We arrived early to join the queue, which was definitely worth it to get a good spot. The fire show itself was incredible — really entertaining and interactive, with the performers getting the crowd involved throughout. The only downside was that the service could be a little slow at times, and it was sometimes hard to get someone’s attention for another drink. The menu was also a bit on the expensive side compared to other nearby places. Overall though, it’s a beautiful spot with a fantastic atmosphere and an amazing fire show — well worth visiting while in Thailand. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hard to imagine a better place to watch the fireshow than Coco Tam's. Not only can you access the full menu while overlooking the beach, but at the bar next door they will actually serve you (a more limited menu) on the beach. And the food itself - while pricey for Thailand - is delicious. One of the only places we've found Western-style salads so far (the Caesar salad was really good) and the pasta is also tasty and well-made. Definitely the best Western food we've had in Thailand.

A magical place that’s perfect for the whole family! We visited Paradise Park Farm with our kids and absolutely loved it. The views are breathtaking – the park is located high in the mountains and offers an incredible panoramic view of the island. There’s a lovely variety of friendly animals like deer, parrots, meerkats, and even peacocks walking around freely – a great experience for children. One of the highlights is the swimming pool – clean water, stunning views, and a peaceful atmosphere. There’s also a small restaurant with simple but tasty food. The staff were kind and welcoming, and we felt very much at home. It’s best to come in the morning before it gets too hot. Totally worth it – a perfect mix of nature, animals, and unforgettable scenery. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Koh Samui!

When I ask my two young daughters, what their favorite thing to do on Samui Island was... they unanimously say the paradise bird farm! This was a recommendation from our taxi truck driver and we are so glad we went. The owners of this farm clearly have a deep love for animals and it shows because they are so well cared for. If you have ever wondered what it is like to be part of a flock of colorful pigeons... This is your place. We could have spent three times as much time here but we were touring other locations that day and had to get moving. I would say 2 to 3 hours at this place would be easy to do with kids who love animals. The petting/feeding zoo side is great and they also have a pool with an amazing view. Thank you very much for a lovely time and for the funny keychains which are now on my kids school bags ☺️

Paradise Park Farm is a lovely spot high in the mountains of Koh Samui, with incredible panoramic views of the island. The atmosphere is peaceful, and it’s a great place to relax with kids or friends. There’s a nice swimming pool overlooking the hills, friendly animals to feed, and shady areas to sit and enjoy the breeze. The drive up is a bit steep, but totally worth it once you arrive. A mix of nature, animals, and amazing scenery – perfect for a half-day trip.

A pleasant peaceful place with well-groomed animals, you can also buy food there and enjoy hand-feeding. There is a swimming pool with a beautiful view and sun loungers, so take swimsuits and towels. There is a café - we did not eat, but, as an option, you can. You can do it with children, but adults will also like it, if you remember a little how happy children are)

If you are an animal lover then you dont wsnt to miss this place. It on top of a mountain with a swimming pool (inclusive in the ticket price - adults for 400 Bhat and children for 250 Bhat). There are a variety of animals and birds like pegions, rabbits, deer pigmy goats, amazonias and other parrots. The place is laid back, peaceful and the view form the diner over looking the shore and islands in a horizon is simply amazing..! IG: husain.modeling

This place is absolutely heartbreaking. The animals here are suffering, and it’s impossible to ignore. The peacocks have their tails cut, the bunnies are kept in filthy cages and covered in cuts, and every enclosure looks miserable and neglected. The cages are far too small, dirty, and completely unsuitable for the animals’ needs.

Awesome place, can spend all day there, meet and feed the animals, eat in the restaurant, swim in the pool. Enjoy an amazing view! Very helpful staff. Animals are friendly and super cute! ‼️No drone videos, the place is near military base, so it’s highly prohibited to fly drones…

Insane place. Definitely worth it but be careful as you can seriously injure yourself if you don't make a clean entry into the water!!

Great fun, great view over Chaweng, nice sunsets from an infinity pool, 2 slides (access cost 650baht) (one that send you flying 5m high in the air before landing and a normal one), bean bags, good music, chang beer 89baht, cocktails 160baht, also serves food.

Unbelievably awesome...must try...reach there by 2 pm...and hang out till 7....worth every penny...fight your fear..

They have reasonable food and beverage prices as well as awesome parties love this place.

I came here with my friends on our trip throughout thailand and I have to say if your in koh samui you gotta check this place out! The place itself is awesome, the slide is super fun and the bungee is awesome! The staff are also very cool and they make sure you have a good time. it's cool place to party with some good music and drinks and do things to challenge your fears. if your in the area make this a part of your day!

This temple stands out for its beautiful and unique architecture, especially its intricately designed ordination hall (Ubosot). Plenty of Parking – Convenient and spacious parking area. Sea Access – There’s a pathway leading down to the sea, but it’s also a memorial area for ashes, so I chose not to go down. Hot Weather – It can get quite warm, so bringing an umbrella or hat is a good idea. Overall, Wat Sila Ngu is a stunning temple worth a visit, especially if you appreciate unique temple designs and peaceful surroundings!

Must visit. Felt a calming energy here. The red carvings inside and out takes your breath away. As you walk in, you will find a sea shore, where you can just and get sunked in the mesmerising view. Be mindful of wearing suitable clothing and just in case yiu reach here impromptu like I did, there are robes in the temple to wear.

This temple is a must visit. The artwork/carvings are impressive and intricate. It is calm and peaceful so a great place to take a break and soak in the spiritual energy. You need to dress appropriately or cover up with cloaks provided outside the temple.

Beautiful spot to get a few good photos and enjoy the incredible view of Samui. You can walk a little further down (be careful it’s slippery). We made a day of just driving around and stopping at different places and this happened to be one of them. Definitely recommend if you’re cruising on this side of the island!

Great place. Beautiful view. Don’t go during hit sun. Get a drone if you want to capture some majestic waves splashing against those rocks. Some steps to get down and back up. Bring water with you.

There is a small van parking there. It is an icecream shop. Try coconut icecream. Nice viewpoint. Easy to get parking spot if riding a motorbike.

Not the best viewpoint here, but you can see Koh Samui from above-ish... You can get to the rocks on the shore level if you want. The best photos are from there...

The view was okay. Nothing spectacular, but not bad either. It’s a decent stop if you're already passing by, but probably not worth a detour. The area was clean and had some photo spots, though it felt a bit uninspired. Overall, just average.

The sunrise view from here is just amazing. We were lucky to have a good weather and watch the sunrise from the sea.

If you're new to riding, it'll be a tough ride, if you're experienced you'll be absolutely fine, me and my wife made it up on a honda click 125 with no problems. Well worth it for the fantastic views at the top! They do seem to be renovating it as it looks a lot better than some if the pictures on here currently. Being blessed by the Monk was a unique experience.

Nice temple & an amazing view over the island, when we were there you could see the rain and clouds coming in. The trip up the hill was fun, we had a 4x4 so it was a fun adventure getting up there, don’t think I would fancy it on a scooter 🛵 although people did!

I consider myself a follower of this sacred place. I’d like to share a few thoughts in response to what others have mentioned: 1. The journey there is not an easy one — the road is indeed rough — but taking the time to visit is truly worth it. The peace and beauty of the place make the effort worthwhile. 2. The temple needs care and maintenance, which naturally requires funds. In most cases, the government does not support temples, especially those in remote areas. Buddhism is, after all, a people’s religion, sustained by the faith and generosity of its followers. 3. So when a monk humbly asks for donations, please understand that it is often for much-needed upkeep and preservation of the temple.

Honestly not worth to drive the unpaved roads that lead to this place. It's quiet and not very well maintained. Has had it's best days. View is nice.

Take a lot of getting to. We had a 160cc scooter. Glad it wasn't a 125. Step roads and some inland sections not made any easier by rainy season. Great views once you reach the top. Monk was a little pushy asking for donations.

A great drive up in the 4x4. The road is sketchy at best but fun nevertheless. The views are worth it alone. After that standard temple with various statues and a few torist shops.

Excellent views from here. The site is still a work in progress with a number of Buddhist statues there and a museum. Do go into the museum even if not interested in the artifacts as the can climb upto the roof for more great views. I went by hired motorcycle, a road bike. You can do but have to be careful with the potholes and steep winding roads. Going down is actually more physically demanding as had to have both hands locked on the brakes all the way. I will echo the comments made by another reviewer, watch out for the Safari Four Wheel drive trucks that cruise this route, but stand your ground and stay on the surfaces road, they can go onto the dirt.

🛍️ Good Mall with a Bit of Everything A solid mall with something for everyone. You’ll find currency exchange booths everywhere, which is super convenient. There’s a mix of high-end and affordable shops, so whether you’re browsing or bargain-hunting, you’ll likely score some good finds. The mall also has a nice selection of restaurants and bars, and even a few market-style shops that add a local touch. Great spot to cool down, shop, and grab a bite—all in one place.

Such a great discovery. Loads of shops for pretty much anything you could want and they have a market open at Knight and Day right outside. We bought some great food Both to take home and eat right there and it was a really fun experience. We went on a day that it was raining and I definitely exceeded my expectations. There is parking underneath the shopping centre for Free in a huge car car park complex so if it’s raining, you don’t need to get wet.

It’s a huge indoor/outdoor mall with various “wings” of stops. There’s also a handful of stalls with local artists selling goods. Great location on Koh Samui to get your shopping done! There’s also a baby market right outside the shopping mall, as well as the Chaweng Night Market across the street.

Nice but relatively small mall. More upmarket and formal than other malls in this area, very near Chaweng beach. Some nice bigger restaurants and shops and a good safe vibe. There is a mini market inside too with various stalls and nice bathrooms.

A massive mall complex with plenty of shops and cafés — you can walk endlessly here. It also has a pleasant outdoor-market vibe, which makes the experience feel more lively and spacious. Overall, a great place to explore, shop, or simply relax.

Good way to break up all the beach side bars and cafes. Its architecture is quite unique. It gives out chill, relax, islandy vibe while having all the essential of a department store. Go on a rainy day so you save all your best days for the beaches

Such a cool concept for a shopping mall. It gives zen vibes, you can walk around surrounded by so much nature and find some many interesting shops. Their biggest grocery shop has plenty organic options, such a good find.

An okay temple to visit if you happen to be nearby but might not be something worth driving for as a single experience. It’s pretty plain but of course still beautiful like all temples in Thailand are. It’s located a bit in the middle of nothing so go here by scooter. If you walk and come from the south you will notice that not all people in Samui is living luxury lives. I would beware of the dogs at the temple.

I was the only tourist there during my visit, very quiet place. Some "off the beaten track" Temples I've visited have had very aggressive, territorial dogs, but no problem here. Several friendly dogs came up to me. As is often the case at Country Temples, some construction/refurbishment is taking place. The oldest part of the Temple is the Old Stupa, one of only three built by Khrua Putsorn and restored by the Department of Fine Arts in 2001. There are lots of small shrines arranged in rows around the site

Beautiful and secluded temple. Well worth to see. Be sure to walk around and look for resting Buddha statue.

Wat Samret (which means "successful" in Thai). A quiet temple with more than 100 years of history, one of the oldest temples in Koh Samui.

A short walk from O.K.Village heading towards the Ferry Terminal/beach. Lovely local Buddhist temple, monument & shrines with shaded communal park & benches with no tourists except us in sight, a pebbles throw from Maenam Beach.... gorgeously Thai.

The temple is absolutely stunning and radiates peace and serenity. The intricate details of the architecture and the vibrant colors are mesmerizing. It’s a must-visit spot if you’re in Thailand—perfect for soaking in the culture and capturing breathtaking photos. Truly a magical experience!

Pleasant complex with impressive set of structures. The setting is serene yet very connected to the public spaces - i.e the Maenam beach and the nearby Na Phra Lan pier. Like all Buddhist temple grounds, appropriate dressing (and conduct) is always encouraged for good examples :)

My very beloved sacred place with calm garden around. If you bought something from street sellers just on the shore across the garden, you can come back and enjoy small snack in very beautiful place. And sound of tweeting birds with ocean waves, what a romance!!!

As compared to some of the other Wats in major “touristy” areas; this temple appears to cater to the locals area. The duty monk in a separate Sala (relative to the ornate and closed Ubosot) where merit making happens was very friendly. Felt great after receiving a blessing of lustral water.

Arrived too late to do the full hike. Would have been dark when we reached the top. Looks nice from what we did walk. Oh and mosquitos, bring bug repellent.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Samui Elephant Haven. The elephants here are truly well cared for. Since most of them have had difficult pasts and were rescued from captivity or tourism, they can’t be released back into the wild which makes this sanctuary the perfect home for them. We chose the feeding package, and the whole experience was incredibly beautiful and so much fun.

We recently visited the Samui Elephant Haven and we had an amazing day. I am a real advocate when it comes to visiting places that are registered as sanctuaries and are there for the animals and not to make money. It makes me angry that people continue to visit places that still allow elephant rides and see elephants in chains and continually poked with sharp crooks to make the elephants perform to entertain tourists. First time to Koh Samui I wanted to make sure we were visiting and paying money to the right people and after doing my research we found Samui Elephant Haven and we signed up for the volunteers day and we arrived not really knowing what we were signing up for! On arrival we watched a quick safety video of the do's and don'ts of being around the elephants and then we were introduced to our guide Dinn for the day. What a lovely young man, he looked after us, explained the sanctuary and told us about their amazing beautiful 12 rescued elephants they had on site. His passion for the sanctuary and the elephants was wonderful to see. During our day, we made rice balls, fruit platters and gave them to the elephants, we cleaned out the sleeping areas, shoveling pooh and old bedding ready for the elephants to retire that evening. It was a warm day so there was plenty of breaks and time to stop for a chat and visit with the elephants. We enjoyed an amazing vegan lunch & dinner, set out for just our small party of 2 and the food was amazing. In the afternoon we walked to another area of the park and we were introduced to Grandma Sudarat a 65 year old rescued elephant and here we enticed her with watermelon on her daily walk, sadly she suffers from arthritis & swelling of her legs & the amazing staff have to relieve her pain with movement. This I must say was one of my best experiences. I highly recommend the volunteer day, but if you are short of time, they do offer morning and afternoon visits and transfers are included. You will not be disappointed. Please if you are thinking of adding elephants to your travel itinerary anywhere in the world, please chose wisely and only visit places that DO NOT offer riding or bathing of elephants. Elephants are meant to be FREE not kept in chains and abused for photo opportunities for tourists.

We had a fantastic experience at Samui Elephant Haven. The whole day was well organised, with being picked up and dropped off at my hotel and never once feeling rushed. Our guide was very knowledgeable sharing both inspiring and heartbreaking stories of the elephants’ pasts. Only a few activities with the elephants are permitted (feeding, making them a meal, taking pictures up close) so the elephants are not disturbed in their everyday life. Most importantly interactions were completely natural the elephants approached only if they chose to. Samui Elephant Haven is not government funded and relies on visitors’ support. Therefore it is great to help support the incredible work the sanctuary is doing.

You can truly tell that the staff cares deeply about their elephants in this sanctuary. Our guide was very knowledgeable, not only about elephants but about each elephants' story and how they ended up in their care. They teach you about elephant behaviors and individualized activities they do to rehabilitate each elephant. They take you around their facilities to meet their herds and understand each individual elephants' personality. The sanctuary itself may not be tge largest but, again, they care deeply for the animals. Also, the pad thai was honeslr great for lunch!!

🐘 What an experience. From the moment you enter Samui Elephant Haven, you can feel the love the team has for these incredible creatures. A truly ethical sanctuary, these elephants have been rescued from logging and tourism, and given a life of freedom & care. You will find no ropes and chains here. Our guide was amazing, funny and knowledgeable. I wish I could remember his name as he was truly wonderful!! We opted for a half day experience, which included lunch. The food was delicious!! Such an amazing experience. Did the full day and was so so amazing. Our tour guide Dyn was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the elephants we really liked him! They clearly care alot about the care the animals receive and truly is an ethical sanctuary. If you’re going to come to an elephant sanctuary this is the place to go. Also the food was amazing and we left with full bellies which was a plus. :)

Wonderful experience! We had an unforgettable experience visiting Samui elephant haven. Our tour guide was very friendly and made the experience even more memorable with a great insight into the history of the elephants and also explaining each elephant’s personal story and how they had been rescued. I would highly recommend this trip.

We were staying there for about 1 week and in general we liked the entire stay. Our room was great even it could use some renovation. Also our pool should be cleaned more often in my opinion. The breakfast was ok but the variety of food could be a bit more in this price category. The location is a bit far from everything but if you looking for an relaxing vacation that is definitely the place to go. However, all those are just very minor things and are definitely not a deal breaker. The staff was great and very helpful with all our needs. The rooms always cleaned very nicely

There is no term private for ocean beach in Thailand (and there should always be a passage by the law), but there could be greedy unlawful locals like these
