Specialty Museums
Nestled in the heart of Malaga, the Interactive Music Museum (MIMMA) is a delightful destination for music lovers and curious minds alike. Housed in the stunning 18th-century Palacio del Conde Navas, this museum boasts an impressive collection of nearly 1,000 musical instruments from various cultures and eras. What sets MIMMA apart is its hands-on approach; visitors are encouraged to engage with the exhibits through touch-screen displays and playable instruments, making it a perfect outing for families.
An excellent museum! Displays of instruments from different parts of the world and different time periods. The building housing the museum is beautiful as well. The spaces are outlying accessible to wheeled travelers. Both the front and rear parts of the building have elevators. I really loved the interpretive Displays and QR codes which allow you to hear how the instruments sound. Even better are the areas where kids of all ages can play them! FANTASTIC! Highly recommended! A fantastic place for a family outing! We visited the Interactive Music Museum in Málaga with our children and had a wonderful time. The kids were thrilled to be able to touch and play different instruments — such a great feature of the museum! The exhibitions are interesting, modern, and suitable for all ages. You can not only see instruments from around the world, but also learn about their history and hear how they sound. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended — it's both fun and educational!
Adam W — Google review
Interesting museum with instruments I didn't even know existed, life a human skull with horns and strings, sort of Ed Gane guitar 😂 there are QR codes with some instruments so I recommend headphones for the visit. There are few instruments you can play on in some of the museum. However, THE HIGHLIGHT of the visit was the Flamenco show, it was an experience that will stay with me for a long long time, the feelings it created inside was amazing. Artist really put their hearts into it, their expression was just astonishing to look at, you will never have this from a video, if you are in Malaga, it is a MUST SEE. We got a tickets with the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus, but if needed, I'd pay extra for this
Filip N — Google review
Beautiful museum, very cultural and inspiring. The flamenco show was nice, though we expected a bigger stage and more dancers as shown on the flyer. Small venue, but still an enjoyable experience.
FLAH M — Google review
A nice and interactive museum, especially enjoyable if you love music or visit with kids. You can try out several instruments, and the overall setup is modern and engaging. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, the museum is quite small and the exhibits are limited compared to other similar music museums — for example, the one in Vienna offers a much richer experience. Still, it’s a fun and educational stop for an hour or so while exploring Málaga, and the hands-on experience makes it worth visiting at least once.
Sunny R — Google review
Interesting look at the history of instruments with the added bonus of interactive rooms where you get to try them out ! Very enjoyable , fun for adults and kids. I’m feel I’m officially old… part of the exhibit had a Sony Walkman and an old iPod :o The wall section below was a nice unexpected surprise , the time capsule is a good idea. I went an hour before closing while waiting for dinner reservation and it was ideal because it wasn’t overly busy - better for the interactive rooms. I did try to buy advance tickets online but it wasn’t available although there was no queue anyway.
Lucy M — Google review
10/10 recommend the flamenco show in this museum. The dancer was incredible and so expressive. The singer was incredible and so expressive. The guitarro was incredible, and I loved watching him watch his compadres, to ensure everything was synced. Phenomenal.

One of the best experience in town. The best flamenco I have seen in years. The museum has a very good collection of instruments

Perched majestically on a hilltop, the Alcazaba is a stunning Moorish-style fortress that offers breathtaking views of the sea and lush gardens adorned with fountains. Constructed in the mid-8th century atop Roman ruins, this well-preserved citadel rivals even Granada's Alhambra in charm.
Short queue to enter on a hot Sunday. Was €7 each to go in. The ruins are immense, spread out over multiple layers and over a wide area. The views are incredible. There are so many features to see - gardens, walls, water features, galleries, etc. absolutely worth a visit. Seeing the uncovered Roman amphitheatre was a bonus too. Amazing place to visit.

The Alcazaba in Málaga is an absolute highlight of the city! This Moorish fortress is an impressive testament to history and offers breathtaking views of the city and the sea. The complex is well-preserved and offers a fascinating mix of walls, towers, and gardens. The architecture is unique and the atmosphere is very peaceful. You can easily imagine the history of the Moors and Spaniards. The views of the city and harbor are simply breathtaking. I recommend visiting early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the sun isn't too strong. The Alcazaba is a must-see for anyone visiting Málaga!
Duha G — Google review
The Alcazaba is a a beautiful place to explore, there is a lot of architectural history and beautiful gardens. It does require you to walk uphill at times, there are narrow stairs and some tight spaces but it can easily be navigated even at peak times. We went on a Sunday when admission was free, however we booked on the website to have an English speaking tour which was led by Salvador. He provided a lot of interesting context and historical information - he was also very knowledgeable about the structures and materials used in the fort. We viewed all parts of the Alcazaba and there was time to browse by ourselves later. The views are magnificent and we really enjoyed the experience.
Jannat K — Google review
Loved this piece of history. Walking around and feeling people lived here so many years ago. So much has been preserved and very grateful for this. Also an amazing view over the Bullring, the harbour and coastline. These semi ruins are precious and worth a visit. A must seen in Malaga.
Mavis B — Google review
Fantastic Alcazaba This is a great moorish castle that is easy to visit as it sits more or less in the Malaga town centre. The views are fantastic and so is the architecture of the building. We really enjoyed wandering around here, plus it is surrounded by gardens, so in summer when it get really hot it is a nice place to cool off a bit.
Paul V — Google review
€10 to enter this fortress also includes entrance to the castle further on after you exit (note both are free to enter after 14:00pm every Sunday The walk to the top is really interesting with lots of different areas to climb up steps and explore the pathways can be steep and uneven surfaces but well worth the effort to be presented with amazing views of Malaga ! There’s a small Bar/cafe inside set within an area in the shade and also toilets, recommend to don’t join the long queue for the toilets at the bar and keep moving as you’ll find toilets with little to no queue further on into the grounds As we visited off peak on a Sunday We queued for around 10 mins to enter but once we came out at 13:40ish the queue was already all the way back out and down to the street for the free entrance on a Sunday
Mzazi — Google review
Great fortress and palace to visit but go in the afternoon when the cruise ship tourist are gone as it is very crowded in the mornings. The entry cost is only €1.50 but free in the afternoon. You will need at least three hours to soak it all up as some of the Nasrid architecture and gardens are beautiful and more so if you can just ponder. The Alcazaba, whose name al-Qasba means urban fortress, is located on the slope of Mount Gibralfaro, in the small bay where the city of Malaga is located. Its strategic position has led to it having been inhabited by ancient civilizations such as the Phoenicians, who settled on the mountain around 600 BC. The Romans settled in its surroundings, on the southern slope, where remains of a Roman villa and also industrial facilities for salting fish were found, and on the western slope of Mount Gibralfaro, where they built a theater in the 1st century. During the Islamic period, the Alcazaba was initially built as a fortification and later became a palace-fortress, the seat of the city government.

Stunning site, with various levels and viewpoints. The free audio guide that you download to your phone was great, just remember to take your earbuds or headphones. Lots of stunning photos and there's also a bar halfway up. Entrance ticket was €7.00

Water park
Water & Amusement Parks
Aqualand Torremolinos is the largest water park on the Costa del Sol, covering over 70,000 square meters and offering more than 30 slides and attractions suitable for all ages. It's just a short distance from Torremolinos' center and features dedicated zones for children with gentle slides, as well as high-speed attractions like the Boomerang and Speed Racers for thrill-seekers. The park also includes a surf beach area with a wave machine.
If you are going and want to go on all the rides you need the fast pass you buy inside, 40 euros per person... we had 2 family tickets and then got the 4 kids fast passes... worth it for the older boys who went on all the rides many times over the 2 younger girls they went on less rides but worth it to get them to the front of queues. Bring food and plenty of water in cool boxes or bags. It's a good day out but fast passes are a must
JP T — Google review
Great place for the family. Rides are fun. Book online tickets to avoid waiting at gate. Things to improve: 1-parking should be free not 2 euros. 2- bring water and food with you. No water fountain at the park. One resturant with expensive food and drinks. 3-should pay for sunbeds. (5 euros each.) It should free.
Mohammad N — Google review
Aqualand was a lot of fun. Despite most of the restaurants being closed at the end of October, they kept one open. The price was a bit on the high side, but it was definitely a great outing. There’s something for both younger and older children to enjoy.
Mr. B — Google review
We can't understand all the bad reviews. We were also unsure at first, but then decided to go anyway! Fortunately! We had the regular ticket (€37) plus fast line (€12). That was perfect. Two sun loungers on site (€7), all prices per person. We brought our own food, perfect! We bought bathing shoes on site - we definitely recommend them! The overall combination was perfect. All the staff were friendly and the “Fast Pass” is definitely worth it. We can only recommend the aquapark. P. S. We cannot judge the food on site!
Mariko S — Google review
We were very surprised that this waterpark received such bad reviews. We visited peak season and had a great day. It’s a well presented water park with a friendly ambiance. The rides are great with our favourite being Speed Racer. The queues were fine and if you had a fast pass (which we didn’t !) it would be even better. Don’t hold back and get along for a fun day.
Niall S — Google review
Are you coming in October? Forget the negative reviews, outside of the main season there are no crowds, the lines were short, nobody bought fast track passes and all the slides were great! Awesome waterpark! We did not eat there but why would you? If there are small or no lines you do the whole park in 3 hours and go out to eat somewhere nice.
Maurits G — Google review
It's not the aqua park, it's queue park, family 2 adults + 2 children 122 euros + two sun beds. Only I got some kind of excitement, cause I was doing all the crazy slides without rings. Children and wife was frustrated , cause of enormous waiting time for ring slides. Paying extra just to pass to slides I kinda greedy business. The only reason of long queue is incompetent staff. We had a great time a day ago in aqua mijas!(There we don't needed sunbeds even, cause we were sliding all the time.) avoid place until they remove fast line and train staff properly. Don't get fooled by marketing pictures.
Roman — Google review
Such a fun day out! Definitely got our money’s worth of exhilaration and laughs. Visited end of October (half term) but there were literally hardly any queues and all runs super smoothly. My daughter and I did not opt for a sun lounger as we spent all time out and about. There are plenty of lockers to store personal belongings. We brought our own food in so cannot comment on hospitality offer. Some of the slides are not open all day and it is worth to check timings to not miss out on your favourite ones.

Perched majestically atop Mount Gibralfaro, the Castillo de Gibralfaro is a stunning remnant of Malaga's Moorish heritage. Originally constructed in the 8th century and later rebuilt in the 14th century, this fortress served as both a military stronghold and a lighthouse. While much of its interior has been altered over time, visitors can stroll along its protective ramparts to enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city below.
Great place to visit, but be prepared for a LOT of uphill walking. If you go in summer, bring super comfortable sneakers, a hairband, and plenty of water. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking! They even provide fresh tap water at the hilltop for free, so don’t forget to bring a bottle or flask. The total cost is €17 to visit the main castle and the hilltop. You can drive up, but walking is more fun and a great workout. I did the walk in 34°C in August—and I survived!
Pinkel B — Google review
We were so lucky the day we visited — it happened to be a free entrance day for museums and attractions, so we saved €10 per person! 🎉 Surprisingly, it wasn’t crowded at all. The views from the lookout point and the castle are stunning — a full 360° view of Málaga that’s absolutely worth the effort. Inside the castle is beautiful and well preserved. 👉 A few tips if you’re going: The walk up is a good incline, about 10 minutes. Definitely skip high heels — I wore flat sandals and ended up taking them off to walk down! Wheelchair users: the castle grounds themselves are accessible, but the hike up is not. If you need access, make sure to take a taxi or the hop-on hop-off bus straight to the entrance. The view is worth it! If you don’t feel like climbing, the hop-on hop-off bus takes you to the top. You can also ride up and then walk down toward town for amazing views without paying entrance. In summer, try to avoid the hottest days — even with mild weather we were glad it was overcast. At the top, there are toilets and a small café. Along the climb, you’ll find guys selling bottled water for €1.50 — handy if you forget yours. A must-see if you’re in Málaga, whether for the history or just for those incredible views. 🌿🏰
Dayana A — Google review
Beautiful historic castle with one of the best panoramic views of Málaga — you can see the port, the bullring, and the entire city all the way to the sea. There’s a small free parking area at the top, but spaces are limited, especially on weekends. If it’s full, you can also park lower down and enjoy a scenic uphill walk through the pine forest about 15–20 minutes. Walking along the ancient fortress walls is a highlight the views from every corner are stunning, especially at sunset. Inside, you’ll also find a small museum with historical artifacts and models of the old city. Bring comfortable shoes, water, and your camera it’s absolutely worth the climb. The tickets cost 10€ combined with al Cazaba, and can be buy at the entrance machine
Yarmali O — Google review
The entire experience is well worth making time for. You can start the hike from near the tourist booth situated outside the Alcazaba and Roman Theatre. It is an uphill walk and definitely requires some time especially if you are walking in the heat, or don’t hike a lot. There are opportunities to rest along the way and take many pictures but it can be a tight squeeze and certain points. There isn’t a lot, if any side support for people to hold onto so it might be hard for someone finding heights difficult. You can climb majority of the way up for free (including a viewing platform) however to enter the very top you need to pay. If you need fresh cold water there is someone who sells it for €1.50 along the way. We didn’t have a ticket but it is possible to queue up (on the left) at the entrance and you can purchase tickets with cash or card. The views are something else and it is absolutely insane how gorgeous Malaga is!
Jannat K — Google review
Interesting Castle and grounds with great views over the city and coast. We walked from the city up the hill which was pleasant although could be a challenge in the heat of summer. Quite a popular attraction so it was crowded when we visited in the late morning - probably worth planning an earlier or later visit to avoid the crowds.
John S — Google review
This is a beautiful castle with beautiful fruit and olive trees. The panoramic views of malaga are breathtaking and price to visit is very reasonable. There is a small cafe but the food offered is limited but there is a real opportunity here to improve it to make it a better experience for visitors.
Mohammed S — Google review
Entrance fee was €7 - we didn't go in. The views were truly stunning from the footpath. Very steep footpath which I would not recommend in the wet weather. The local bus is easy from Alameda Principal. It stops outside the fort for one hour (Sundays) and brings you back. I imagine the bus is busy. We walked back. The footpath looked very busy later in the day. I recommend going early when it is quieter and cooler.
Longfordmuse — Google review
Well worth the strenuous hike up (can get there by road, I believe). Very well maintained walls of the old castle. You can walk pretty much the entire length and the views are spectacular. Not a ton inside the castle walls, but the views alone make this a must do. Free on a Sunday after 2 pm. It'll be nice and quiet if you go before that and pay.

Outdoor Activities
Playa de la Malagueta in Málaga is a popular city beach known for its long stretch of fine sand, seafood shacks, and nearby amenities. It's conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the city center and offers a perfect setting for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is frequented by locals, giving visitors an authentic experience away from touristy crowds.
Cool beach literally next to city centre with vendors offering all kind of stuff, food & drinks so you don't have to go anywhere. My lazy me loved it 😄
Richard — Google review
This beach is nice for views and restaurants only. Not for swimming (water is clear but quite cold even end August due to cold currents) and not for sunbathing in my opinion (I hated dusty dark sand that ruined my slides that were plastic! Just imagine what would happen to any better shoes). If you’re visiting Malaga anyway and have couple spare hours to chill then it’s a yes. If you’re thinking of spending a beach vacation there then it’s a hard no.
Name — Google review
There’s something both ordinary and sacred about La Malagueta. It’s not the kind of beach that tries too hard — it simply is. Locals stroll by with wet hair and coffee cups, children chase seagulls, and the Mediterranean hums her endless lullaby. 📚 Goodreads: Phoenix Perpetuale The sand is darker here, a soft brown-grey that warms quickly underfoot. The water glimmers in layered shades of turquoise and silver — not tropical, but honest. On quiet mornings, it feels like a threshold: the city breathing behind you, the horizon calling you forward. I sat watching the waves kiss the breakwater, feeling how the salt carries stories — of ships, painters, and sunburnt travelers who came here to remember who they are. Málaga’s skyline curves gently around the bay, giving a sense of belonging even to strangers. There are no grand secrets here, only the simplicity of presence. A towel, a book, the scent of grilled sardines drifting from chiringuitos. You realize that peace doesn’t need perfection — just warmth, sunlight, and a moment that asks for nothing more. ⭐ Rating: 4.8 / 5 🌊 Best for: Morning solitude, sunset reflection, barefoot clarity 📍 Phoenix Note: Come before 9 a.m. — the beach belongs to poets and quiet souls then.
Agnieska B — Google review
Good beach for a location. No extraordinary but very nice it is to sit down there and relax after busy day in town. Sand is quite rough but I don’t see that as an issue. Plenty bars and restaurants round there. Showers to wash your feet were not working when we visited (February 2025).
Ivana B — Google review
The beach is sandy and nice. But the sea was not clean to swim. Good for sun bathing at the beach.
Serap Ö — Google review
I had a wonderful time here The sand was clean, the water was crystal clear, and the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. I really appreciated the facilities available, like the showers and restrooms. The beach was well-maintained, and the surrounding scenery made it a perfect spot for a day out. The staff were friendly and helpful, making it even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this beach to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful place to spend the day
Adeel A — Google review
Playa de la Malagueta was honestly super cute. We were there during a very rainy and moody week, so the weather didn’t really spoil us, but the beach itself was still lovely. I’m just now posting the photos even though we were there back in April (oops, forgot to review earlier hehe but like, who really cares when we were there, right? 😄). The vibe was chill, the palm trees were doing their thing, and even with grey skies, it was totally worth the visit. Would love to go back when the sun’s actually out!
Lara — Google review
The beach itself is ok, clean and well-kept. Every few tens of meters there are garbage bins, 4 each for sorting organic waste and for recycling - a very nice thing. Sand is a bit different, more like dust, but it's not a problem if you didn't take your towel or white clothes. Another thing about the sand - the layer is a bit thin to normal and you may have difficulty installing the umbrella. So you may need extra support as under this layer is another hard layer of rock that cannot be penetrated. On hot days, your feet may burn and you may need footwear. The water is very clean, but I understand it depends on how big the waves are. The shore is a bit steep and deep, so that only 3-4 meters from the beach the depth can reach over 1 -1.7 meter. The clarity may be due to the pebbles that would replace the sand. Just because they are not too big, they do not create much discomfort. The next beach, however, is less crowded, but there are a lot of large stones that can cause you fractures or serious shocks/injuries. On the beach there are also a few restaurants/stalls where drinks and food are sold (a pint of beer is €4.00). The showers on the beach are not working, probably due to the drought. Gardens
Nestled just outside Malaga, the Jardín Botánico - Histórico La Concepción is a stunning 23-hectare botanical garden that dates back to 1855. This enchanting oasis showcases an impressive array of tropical and subtropical flora from five continents, boasting over 25,000 plant species. Visitors can marvel at unique specimens such as insectivorous plants, cacti, and more than 90 varieties of palm trees.
A lovely escape just a short ride from Málaga’s centre. The botanical garden offers a peaceful stroll through lush subtropical plantings, shaded walkways and quiet ponds perfect for recharging away from the city buzz. A few practical notes: it’s a bit of a walk from public transport so wear comfortable shoes, and while many parts are beautifully tended the signage and some areas could use a refresh. All that said, for the ticket price it’s well worth spending a couple of hours here.
Yarmali O — Google review
Really nice park. Can stroll around in a couple of hours lots of different plants shaded areas and sunny spots. The historic gardens are particularly beautiful. Ticket price was approximately 6 euros for an adult 3 euros for child. Parking is free and just outside the main gate, there were plenty of spaces when we went. (Approx 4pm weekday). Disregard any scaremongering posts about parking safety the area was clean will maintained and completely safe. There are a couple of toilets in the park on by the entrance/exit and one on the way around. I don't know if the ticket office accepts cards but they definitely prefer and requested cash when I visited.

Hired a bike in Malaga for €15 and decided to cycle out to the botanical gardens — sounded like a great idea at the time! The last few kilometres are all uphill, so by the time I reached the gate I was dreaming of an ice-cold refresco. Google Maps tried to sabotage me by sending me to the university botanical gardens first, which added an unexpected 20 km detour to the trip. On the bright side, I now know parts of Malaga I never planned to see! Visited in November when it was a perfect 20°C — can’t imagine doing that climb in August. The gardens are beautiful, full of history, sculptures, and even an Alice in Wonderland theme when I was there. Peaceful, quirky, and definitely worth the effort once you find the right entrance!

Visiting La Concepción Botanical Garden is like stepping into a peaceful green oasis just minutes away from the bustle of Málaga city. The gardens are beautifully maintained, with winding paths, waterfalls, and lush tropical plants that make you feel worlds away from the Mediterranean coast. The historic section of the garden is particularly stunning — filled with palms, bamboo, and century-old trees that create a cool canopy even on hot days. The viewpoints overlooking the city and the bay of Málaga are breathtaking, especially at sunset. There’s also an educational area with Mediterranean flora, and clear signage in both Spanish and English makes it easy to explore at your own pace. It’s a wonderful place for photography, a picnic, or simply a quiet walk surrounded by nature and history. 💡 Tips: Bring comfortable shoes — the terrain is hilly. There’s a small café near the entrance with drinks and snacks. If possible, visit in spring when everything is in bloom. Whether you’re a nature lover, photographer, or just looking for a tranquil break, Jardín Botánico La Concepción is one of Málaga’s hidden gems — a must-see! 🌸

Love this botanical garden, you can spend hours exploring all the trails. The views are so beautiful, I love all the palm trees and waterfalls, river and flowers. We even saw some chickens. Definitely recommend coming here.

Its is a true gem in Málaga. It's easy to see why you loved it. It really is a magical place, with over 150 years of history and that incredible collection of tropical plants. It’s such a peaceful and beautiful escape. It’s great you left a review—it definitely helps others discover it!

An amazing day out, walking through the tranquil paths of this absolutely beautiful botanical garden, with a 5Eur/person entrance. It's definitely worth the visit if appreciate exotic plants. It's a big place, well mapped, with several picnic areas where you can stop and eat (own food). There's also a place there where you can buy food, drinks, ice-cream... should you need anything. My fiancé and I walked for hours through it on a very hot day, and there's plenty of shade too thanks to all the palm trees and other exotic vegetation. We've visited the garden in August, on a Saturday, and it was pretty quiet, we've purchased the tickets at the entrance and there was no waiting line, and no bumping into other people at every step. We loved it there, and would definitely recommend it to all nature lovers! To the team at the Botanical Garden La Conception, thank you for the lovely experience!

Located in Benalmadena, Crocodile Park is a unique attraction that offers guided tours and a petting area where visitors can hold baby crocodiles. The park is home to over 200 crocodiles from various species, including the impressive Big Daddy. Guided tours provide insight into the life cycle and behavior of these reptiles, with opportunities to witness feeding sessions. It's an ideal destination for families and animal enthusiasts looking for an extraordinary experience on the Costa del Sol.
We went in what is called the “winter” season so all of the crocodiles were kept in the enclosure due to their metabolism. It was amazing to see so many there and we were lucky to arrive just before the croc talk which was brilliant. The guide was very good in explaining about feeding habits and different types of crocs. They walk around the park was quite quick but you had various animals including porcupines and quite a lot of tortoises. They do have a small reptile house which snakes are kept in but it was a small amount of snakes. The cafe wasn’t open but you could buy refreshments in the shop and various toys and even crocodile teeth necklaces. Your best bet is to go June-August where I would assume that the crocs would be outside for a better experience. I would go again but I would choose a different time. 👍
Paul S — Google review
We didn't have much time as we were late arriving but saw enough. An added bonus was that a guide was giving a talk about crocodiles in general and those in the park including their behaviours, how body temperature impacts mood and also temperature of eggs determines boy or girl, all very interesting stuff. Spoke to a couple at our hotel and they had not seen a guide so really missed out. Some parts were closed off for maintenance and the receptionist didn't have great customer service but overall thoroughly enjoyed

Crocodile park where you and your family can learn and see crocodiles. Scheduled guide tours are available by the park employees to explain more information and fun facts about crocodiles. You can book tickets online. Recommended for families.
Mohammad N — Google review
Visited with my family early afternoon, it wasn’t busy and we managed to get a parking space. Paid full price for 2 x adults and 2 x children, the man on reception was friendly enough. No map of the park was provided. . We timed it so we could see the talk by one of the staff which was very interesting and worth watching. One of the exhibits was closed but we visited 95% of the park. Overall it was interesting, with a good range of crocodiles, small animals and they have a reptile and snake enclosure. The park itself is fairly small. Food areas and toilets as to be expected. I am no crocodile expert but the water in most enclosures looks like it’s needs to be cleaned/changed. We were there for approx 1 hour including the talk. I wouldn’t say it was value for money but my kids enjoyed it even if briefly.
Jason G — Google review
Kids loved it, parents loved it. The guy/guide handling the crocs is awesome, loves his job, very enthusiastic story teller. We visited in July, it was hot. Ice cream / drinks bar having a siësta is not a good idea when most of your customers are children, maybe just put two shifts on it. Still would recommend.
Sergij ( — Google review
Lovely and quiet with plenty of shade. Really enjoyed the talk in the crocodile enclosure. A lovely way to spend an hour with family. Bring some euros as feeding the turtles is lovely and needs two €1 coins for a ball of food.
Joanna G — Google review
We went yesterday with our 2-year-old, and even though it's winter season, we thoroughly enjoyed the park. All the crocodiles and alligators were in the greenhouse, where we could see them in all their shapes and sizes. Our little boy loved it and was fascinated by how close we were. We stayed for over an hour, and because they don't move much, we kept going back to see if any had moved and they did! We were about to leave when I remembered there were other animals. Our little fella was more interested in jumping in puddles, but we, as the two adults, enjoyed the extra animals and ended up back at the greenhouse for a talk with the lovely keeper. I understand why people complain about the cost, but we had gone to Sea Life earlier in the day and paid €59 for less than 20 minutes. We were a little disappointed, so the Crocodile Park really made up for it.
Sarah G — Google review
Really nice park and if you actually show some intrest for the animals you can stay her for multiple houres. I see pople write in there revies that it was to quick to go trough the park. That's BS and your own fault for speeeing trough it. We used 3 houres in the park before we had looked at everything. Read the signs and information about the animal and actually look at them. It's not a race. Only thing I wish would be imprved is that the guide got a microphone and a speaker because some times it was hard to hear what he wad saying. All in all good experience and reccomended

Playa de la Misericordia is a two-kilometer-long sandy beach located southwest of Malaga's city center. It was once the main industrial neighborhood of Malaga, and remnants of its past can be seen in the 19th-century chimney tower that overlooks the seafront promenade. This beach is more popular with locals than tourists, especially among surfers who come to ride the waves caused by the arrival of the Malaga-Melilla ferry each night.
Very nice beach and probably it will be even more beautiful once the enlargment / consolidation will be over. Nice playground near by and a nice promenade next to it. The shore has both sand and pebbles.

There are toilets available. Several volleyball courts. There are several restaurants with grilled fish and even halal restaurants nearby. There is parking and disabled parking too. Sandy beach, refreshing water but not cold
Andrés B — Google review
Nice, wide clean beach. Good to have own umbrella, no need to pay for the service, the public parts are long and equally well-equipped and clean. Without umbrella you can use the parts with the palm trees providing the shadows (but with longer way to the water through the hot sand, of course)
Eva D — Google review
Really nice beach. A bit further from the City so mostly locals. The beach is nice and clean, has a small water park for kids and parking on the streets is easy. The water is not too deep, a bit stony/pebbly at the beginning but then sandy afterwards. A few halal eating options at the beach itself and a bit more close by car.
Farhan A — Google review
Nice wide beach. Not perfectly clean sand like in Valencia so walk carefully. BUT at least the sea bed is made of sand and not rocks. And the depth doesn't change for the first 50 meters - it's not deep up at all.
X X — Google review
Wow, what a nice beach ! Playa de la Misericordia is one of Málaga’s most beloved urban beaches, stretching for more than a kilometer along the city’s western coast. Known for its wide, golden sands and gentle waves, it’s a favorite spot for both locals and visitors looking to relax, swim, or enjoy a long seaside walk. The beach is lined with a lively promenade dotted with chiringuitos (beach bars) where you can savor fresh sardines grilled over open fires — a true Málaga tradition. Its atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, with plenty of space for families, joggers, and sunseekers. In the late afternoon, the famous ola del Melillero — a sudden wave caused by the arrival of the Melillero ferry — adds a fun and unexpected twist to the day. With its easy access from the city center, good facilities, and authentic local vibe, Playa de la Misericordia offers the perfect blend of Málaga’s coastal charm and everyday life.
Paul P — Google review
Playa de la Misericordia: where the sand is soft, the sea is cold enough to make you question your life choices, and the seagulls judge your snack selection like tiny, feathered film critics. The beach bars are perfect for pretending you’re sophisticated while sipping a tinto de verano and watching someone else attempt to play beach volleyball. Bonus points for the nearby cinema handprints — nothing says “classy day at the beach” like standing next to Antonio Banderas’ giant palm. Bring sunscreen, a towel, and a sense of humour. It’s basically Málaga’s unofficial comedy club with waves.

Parque del Oeste is a vast urban park located in the western area of the city. It boasts over 25 years of history and covers 74,000 square meters. The park features various areas for children to play and enjoy, including a large lake with a geyser and 45 colorful sculptures, some of which are mythological. Additionally, there are basketball and soccer courts for older children to engage in sports activities.
Massive, gorgeous urban park. Multiple water features, playgrounds, sports facilities, wildlife (birds, turtles), several walkways, fountains and more. Peaceful and beautiful.

🐢 Came for a stroll, stayed for the turtles. This park has everything — shady trees, chill vibes, and yes, actual turtles just casually living their best lives in the pond. It’s like a budget safari in the middle of Málaga. Perfect spot to walk, snack, or contemplate becoming a turtle yourself. 9/10 would turtle again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+

Big and chill park. Parque Oeste – worth the wait! We walked from the María Zambrano train station on a quiet Monday and stepped into what feels like the city’s green lung. The park is huge, shaded by old pines and palms, with benches every few metres and spotless public toilets (a rare win). Kids can sprint across open lawns, climb rope structures or hit the two fenced dog parks if you’ve got a pup in tow. We left the picnic basket at home this time—next visit it’s coming with us. When hunger hits, cafés and tapas bars line the streets on every side; you’re five minutes from a cold beer or a cortado.

Ruben Alcantara Malaga Skatepark is a must-visit for skating enthusiasts in Spain. This expansive 10,000 square meter park offers diverse surfaces suitable for inline skating, skateboarding, BMX biking, and scootering. It features a halfpipe, miniramp, street plaza, dirt tracks for BMX bikes, and incredible dirt trails with different lines and plenty of obstacles like hips and flowy features.
One of the best skateparks I've ever seen. Recommend even in winter, you can skate all year long till 11pm!

It's the first time I've been so I'm going to do a good analysis: The place is amazing for the price you have to pay for the entrance. You find bowl, verts, street, half pipes, sand terrain for bicycles similar to the descent. We also have a small punk track at the entrance. It also has a certain part of a climbing wall, I would recommend for the latter that those in the park place in the lowest holds so you could train crossings from one side to the other of the block with total safety without the need to carry rope equipment and belay. It would be quite used for sure, I tried today but I lacked prey. 2) The cleaning is brutal, super clean and bins in case you need to throw something away. Please keep it clean together. It also has bathrooms. 3)Helmet is mandatory. I see it quite well since this way we raise awareness among the little ones about safety. In this case I equipped myself completely. 4) Definitely perfect for progressing little by little in drops, ramps, etc... And to be in good company. Definitely one of my new favorite places. I will go again 100% and recommend it 200% !Let's keep rolling!

One of the best (if not the best) bowls in Europe. Also incredible dirt trails, 4 different lines, lots of hips, flowy and predictable, possible transfers. Worth visiting Malaga just for this place if you ride bmx or dirt mtb. Mindblowing low price for all of this. Also rezi for triksters and a lot of flat and street features for skaters. Helpful and welcoming crew in the counter.

Incredible place, cheap and with friendly staff. You can both use skates and bikes (mtb and bmx). It has different zones like jump zone for dirt bikes, an urban set and a bowl. The Benalmadena Cable Car is a fantastic way to experience the stunning vistas of the Costa del Sol. This scenic ride whisks you from the bustling coast up to Mount Calamorro in just 15 minutes, where you'll be greeted by panoramic views that stretch across Malaga province, Sierra Nevada, and even as far as Gibraltar and the African coastline on clear days. Open year-round with varying hours depending on the season, this attraction is perfect for families who enjoy heights.
Excellent views and well worth the money, especially as there was a bird of prey display on as we arrived. You had to pay extra to go to this, but again, it was well worth it , especially as they brought some of the birds to you, which you could hold. I think if it's windy, the birds do not fly.

Stunning 15 minute cable car ride to the top. Fantastic views all around with lots of pics opportunities. Cafe at the top and several further walking areas to go even higher. The staff were all helpful. It's a 'must do'.

Amazing views!! Located close to the metro and only around 15 minutes walk from Benalmadena beach it is easy to find and reach. I visited midweek and there was no big queue and the self service kiosk made it easy to purchase tickets. The cable car journey was smooth enough as you start to see the elevated views. At the top there are 2 viewpoints and both are worth the walks to get to them. Some sections may be steep and the stones that you walk on may be slippy in parts but it is worth the hike for the amazing 360 degree views of the Costa Del Sol coastline. It is worth the price and would highly recommend to visit.

Casa Aranda is a must-visit spot in Malaga, offering a delightful experience for those with a sweet tooth. Since 1932, this charming café has been the go-to place for indulging in churros con chocolate – long, deep-fried dough dipped into thick hot chocolate. Sit at one of the outdoor tables and savor the traditional treats while soaking up the local atmosphere.
Fresh, crispy and delicious! .. this spot serves the best churros in town. The chocolate is creamy, delicious and lip smacking good. Their cappuccino was equally good as well. Fast and friendly service for sure. Plenty of outdoor seating as well. Would highly recommend this spot if you're visiting Malaga.
Ali — Google review
Casa Aranda serves hands down the best churros con chocolate I’ve ever tried. The churros are perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and always served fresh and piping hot. The chocolate sauce is more like a rich, liquid hot chocolate – smooth, not too thick – and it pairs beautifully with the churros. The combination is simply addictive! The ambiance of the place is also a highlight. It has a cozy, authentic Málaga-Spanish charm with so much character. I especially loved just sitting there, soaking in the atmosphere and watching people pass by – it’s the kind of spot that invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Málaga. I’ll be coming back for sure!

€0,75 / hot Churro straight from the frying pan. Very nice, and the chocolate is thick so nice to dunk them in. Worth the walk from the harbor, you can skip breakfast before coming to this place. Service was fast.
Danny B — Google review
One of the best places for churros and chocolate in Malaga. The churros are not the thin variety, more like the thicker porras. They are constantly making fresh ones since it is so busy so your order will be hot and crispy. Great for dipping into a nice rich and deep cup of chocolate. They are open for the morning, closed for siesta, then open again until night. Tables fill up extremely quickly so there is always a queue. They do have a lot of overflow tables across the way (and one large area was closed when we went (Oct 2025) so it can be packed. Most people don’t stay long and ordering is fast and efficient (you’ll get your order within a few minutes).
Stewart W — Google review
Sorry, I came here because it’s famous, but compared to other places we’ve tried, the chocolate served with the churros was disappointing. The color was very light, more like a cocoa pudding than rich hot chocolate. The churros themselves were fine, but the chocolate sauce was weak and lacked flavor.
Ece T — Google review
The whole little street belongs to them, filled with tables and charming spots. Excellent churros and a truly authentic place to experience local flavor!
Немања Н — Google review
We visited this churros place with high expectations after seeing their very high rating on Google, but honestly it felt a bit overrated. The chocolate sauce is definitely made from cacao, yet the flavor wasn’t as enjoyable as we hoped. Prices are slightly above what you usually pay elsewhere, and overall the experience didn’t feel particularly special.

Centre Pompidou Málaga is a branch of the renowned Paris contemporary art museum, offering a unique experience in modern surroundings with a distinctive glass cube. It was the first temporary Centre Pompidou established outside of France, serving as a pilot project for the Parisian art center. The museum presents an array of reference works from the Center Pompidou collection and hosts diverse exhibitions and multidisciplinary experiences, along with workshops.
This was excellent, thanks to a combination of the building (utterly unlike the Paris Pompidou Centre, bar the design nod in the primary colours outside) and the *excellent* Kandinsky exhibition that was on while I was there. My only gripe was the lack of an exhibition catalogue to buy on the way out. The fact the place is nice and cool after coming off the heat of the marina is an added bonus.

The building is iconic so it's good to visit, but more for the fomo than the supposed exceptionality of the gallery. It's a nice view, but probably nothing that stays with you for too long. It's good that almost all of the information is also in English.

This has nothing to do with Muelle Uno Location: Held in the Málaga Arena, close to the city center and the harbor – a beautiful setting for a gastronomic festival. Concept: The festival was meant to promote top restaurants, including Michelin-starred ones. Unfortunately, this goal was not achieved. Food: - Tapas did not really invite ordering. Simple in flavor, lacking creativity and presentation. - Expectations were clearly much higher; chefs and their restaurants were poorly promoted. - It felt like “fighting” at the long bar just to get a tapa. Drinks: - The bar was a disaster. Twice we had to wait over 30 minutes to get a drink. Organization: - Far too few standing tables, leaving people wandering around with a drink in one hand and a tapa in the other. Eating like this was very inconvenient. - The DJ played on old-fashioned turntables, which felt amateurish with skipping records – reminded me of my youth when I did the same in my bedroom with friends. Conclusion: Overall, the event came across as amateurish and poorly organized. The chefs and their restaurants did not stand out at all. Beautiful location, but disappointing execution.

Nestled in the heart of Málaga, Parque de Málaga is a stunning urban oasis that first opened its doors in 1897. Spanning an impressive 33 hectares, this lush green space features beautifully landscaped botanical gardens, enchanting fountains, and captivating sculptures that invite exploration. The park stretches over 30,000 square meters between Alameda Principal and Paseo de España, connecting Plaza del General Torrijos to Plaza de la Marina.
Beautiful park that is home to many exotic plants as well as local birds. It’s well maintained and allowing a nice walk in the shade during the day time. Additionally it acts as a lung to the city.

Nice garden area with loads of parrots flying around. Very hard to see them, but you can definitely hear them! Plenty of shade to hide from the sun too!
Jake — Google review
The park was essentially an open greenhouse and a mini botanical garden filled with beautifully maintained plants and trees. There were lots of benches and there’s also a children’s playground.

Situated in the centre of Málaga between the main shopping street and the port area is Málaga Park. A lovely linear park filled with exotic palms and trees from as far away as Formosa ( now Taiwan ) . Even though the park is next to the very busy Paseo de Parque it is still amazing quiet and peaceful.

Had a great time here. Went on a Sunday, it was quieter than expected due to the rain. However it made for a fun/slippery ride. The karts are well maintained and the course is nice and bendy!

Took my son here for his first ever time go karting, being autistic this was a major step for him with so many new things to deal with. The team were absolutely amazing! Being understanding of his needs and sensory boundaries and helped him every step of the way in teaching him how to get in and out of the kart and what to do. We both enjoyed it so much and my son wanted to go out for a second session. If you've never been before the team will help you every step of the way and ensure you have a fantastic time. If you are autistic or have someone with additional needs that wants to go, you can book with confidence knowing the team will help and support you.

Absolutely terrible and unsafe experience! I had one of the worst experiences ever at this go-kart track. First of all, the kart I was given was leaking fuel - while I was driving, I could literally smell and feel gasoline splashing out from the tank, which is both dangerous and unacceptable. I immediately pulled over and reported it. They promised me a new kart and said they would restart the time so I could enjoy the session with my family, who were already on the track. But when I finally got into the replacement kart and drove out, they let my family off the track, so we ended up not racing together at all -completely ruining the whole reason we came. To top it all off, they refused to refund my session, even though the problem was entirely their fault. This place is unsafe, unprofessional, and completely disrespectful to customers. I would never recommend it to anyone. Avoid at all costs- especially if you're coming with family

The Cathedral Club, also known as Catedral de la Encarnacion de Malaga, is a striking landmark that dominates the city's skyline. Referred to as La Manquita (the one-armed lady) due to one unfinished tower, this centuries-old cathedral showcases a blend of architectural styles including Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque. Its construction spanned five centuries, making it a testament to the evolution of religious architecture.

Art Museums
The Museo Picasso Málaga is housed in the Buenavista Palace, a stunning 16th-century building that showcases over 200 works by the renowned artist Pablo Picasso. The collection, donated by Picasso's family, spans his diverse styles and techniques from classicism to cubism and surrealism. In addition to the permanent collection, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions, educational activities, and cultural events.
To skip waiting line, we purchased tickets online a day before. I suggest you to take mobile headphones with you. At the entrance you can scan a QR code with the audio guide. Besides Picasso life, two more artists are exhibited. At the -1 floor you can find architectural remains explaining what life was from the museum building itself. It was a nice place.
Iskra R — Google review
I visited the museum at 5pm and waited in a queue - I would advise purchasing tickets online however it is possible to purchase tickets after entering the museum. Backpacks cannot be taken in so it’s a good idea to travel with a smaller bag - there is a storage room operated by staff which was very simple and quick to use. There is also an audio guide so it is helpful to bring earphones. There are two Picasso collections with an additional medium/techniques room as well as two temporary exhibitions. There is also an archaeology floor which was incredibly interesting! I was there for approximately an hour and a half - I really enjoyed it and had a great time.

Museo Picasso Málaga – A Cultural Gem in the Heart of the City The Museo Picasso Málaga, Address: Calle San Agustín, 8, 29015 Málaga, Spain, is a must-visit if you’re in the city. Housed in the beautiful 16th-century Palacio de Buenavista, it has a well-curated collection of Picasso’s paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and drawings that really show the evolution of his work. The museum is easy to navigate, the displays are clear, and the atmosphere is calm and enjoyable. The temporary exhibitions are always interesting, and the audio guide is excellent for getting deeper insights. Located right in the historic centre, it’s easy to combine with a stroll through Málaga’s old town. A perfect stop for art lovers or anyone curious about Picasso.

Queue to enter because had booked to enter at opening time. Best to book in advance because otherwise you are advised to book online in a queue and then join the queue for those with tickets. It is possible to pay on entry as a last resort. No leaflets in English available when I visited. Cloakroom available, plenty of seating so you can rest between viewing, plenty of toilets too. Museum signage for direction wasn’t the most clear. Audio guide is good although it’s through QR code on phone so would recommend taking phone and headphones. Good collection of Picasso’s work :) Very informative about the mediums and techniques explored over the years
Lucy M — Google review
Lovely museum of Picasso’s life work. Purchase tickets on line before hand and arrive at your allotted time. Be prepared to line up even with prepaid tickets because they allow only certain number of people in. 5 people come out, 5 people allowed in. There are several security check points, ticket check and no liquids or food allowed. I’d you have food items you must check them at a cost check area. Be prepared to spend 2-3 hours absorbing the life and life’s work of Picasso. There are benches and places to sit to rest if necessary.
Laura K — Google review
The Picasso Museum in Málaga was totally worth the visit. I really enjoyed learning about Picasso’s entire life, from his childhood and marriages to the inspirations behind his art. It was fascinating to see how his style evolved through different periods of his career. Buying tickets online is definitely the best option to avoid the long lines. The museum is quite popular, so even with tickets, you should expect a bit of a wait.

Museo Carmen Thyssen Málaga is a captivating art museum housed in a 16th-century Renaissance palace. It showcases an extensive collection of Spanish and international masterpieces from the personal collection of Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza. The museum focuses on 19th-century Spanish art, featuring works by renowned artists such as Francisco de Goya and Pablo Picasso. While Andalusian art takes center stage, the museum also boasts significant pieces from beyond Spain.
A truly exquisite experience, soaking up the history and storytelling of this wonderful Spanish art. Paintings of landscapes that will make you consider how simple a life we once led; breathtaking portraits of a simpler, tougher and more precious time. The details are a wonder to behold; light through a breaking wave, smoke from a cigar, despair on an old lady's face; and I guarantee you will want to spend time, slowing down and appreciating the work on display here. A special memory of Málaga and Spain. Thank you to the staff and curators.

Nice gallery with art from many different periods - it's certainly more educational than other galleries in Málaga. The building it's situated in is also beautiful and elegant. The entrance is free on Sunday evenings. Most information is also in English.

Magnificent pieces of classical Spanish art in the heart of the city. The museum is also hosting an exhibition called "American People". however considering beautiful classical art, exhibition had no meaning for me.

Tucked in the heart of Málaga’s historic center, the Carmen Thyssen Museum is a gem for anyone curious about Spanish art. Housed in the stunning 16th-century Palacio de Villalón, the museum showcases an impressive collection of 19th-century Andalusian and Spanish paintings. From vibrant seascapes by Sorolla to evocative scenes of local life, the artwork feels like a time machine into Spain’s past. I loved how the galleries are spread across four floors, making it easy to explore without feeling overwhelmed. The audio guide (available in English!) is a must for deeper insights—trust me, it brings the paintings to life. Pro tip: Visit on Sundays from 5–7 PM for free entry, but arrive early as the line moves fast. The cozy café is perfect for a quick coffee break, and the gift shop has beautiful art books. Less crowded than the Picasso Museum, this spot is a must for art lovers and history buffs. You’ll leave inspired!
Gennie M — Google review
One star off purely because the collection isn't really my cup of tea - I like modern art, and this was largely 18th and 19th century, relatively traditional representational landscapes and portraits. If you like that kind of thing, though, this would be superb. A large collection with a very Spanish feel to it.

Nestled in the heart of Malaga, the Mercado Central de Atarazanas is a vibrant covered market that beautifully marries history with culinary delight. Its stunning Moorish entrance, reminiscent of Granada's Alhambra, is a remnant of its 14th-century origins as a shipyard during Arabic rule. Over centuries, this space has transformed from a convent to a military fort and even a medical school.
Mercado de Atarazanas – Flavors and Finds in the Heart of Málaga A beautiful market hall, perfectly located in Málaga’s pedestrian zone. Fantastic market. We arrived just shy of 4pm when lunch service at the seafood bars was closing but was still able to get some amazing oysters, sea urchin and prawns. So so fresh and packed with locals so we knew we were in the right place. Would return in a heartbeat and arrive a little earlier. One of the highlights of the trip. Bartender will double check price of seafood with you prior to cooking and can prepare according to your tastes, e.g., raw, grilled, fried.

The best market I have ever visited. Incredibly fresh fruit and vegetables. Wonderful meat and fish. We bought a large chicken & salad stuffed bocadillo at El Capriche by one of the entances for €6 compared to £18 at the airport. The whole place was heaving at midday. Good time to visit is 10 am when the stands are properly set up. The prices are similar on each stand. Card payments are accepted.

The centre has a variety of stores, including well-known international brands like Zara, H&M, and Primark, as well as smaller boutiques. It’s a great place for both fashion enthusiasts and those seeking more practical goods. The dining options are diverse, ranging from fast food to sit-down restaurants, catering to all tastes. The centre also has a cinema, making it an ideal destination for an entire day out. The parking is spacious, and there are good public transport links, which adds to its accessibility. The modern design and open-air sections make it a pleasant place to wander, with plenty of seating areas to relax. The atmosphere is generally relaxed, although it can get crowded on weekends. Overall, Plaza Mayor offers a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience, with something for everyone.

This is a wonderful shopping center that I really enjoyed, especially for families with children. It’s not only about the variety of stores where you can shop, but also about how well the place is organized: it’s clean, pleasant, and has plenty of comfortable areas to relax with kids. The children’s playgrounds are very nicely designed, and right next to them there are benches with tables — so you can grab some food, sit down, and relax while your child is playing. That’s a really great idea. Overall, the place is so comfortable that you can come here even without a specific reason — just to spend time and enjoy yourself. The selection of shops is moderate, and most of the essentials are available. The only thing I would add is perhaps a few more children’s stores. In any case, I highly recommend it — a wonderful, family-friendly place!

Located just one stop away from Malaga airport by train (and the train station is there too), Plaza Mayor is a massive complex with all the top branded shops you could ask for. Better than that, they have great reductions offered in most of the stores. There’s no shortage of restaurants and coffee stops here as well. Great place to stop off with the kids and let them play in the play park they have. Plaza leads to the train station. Biggest down side for me is that there doesn’t seem to be any guidance for tourists visiting for a first time and don’t know the language. I won’t go into detail as this is subjective. All in all, it’s still worth a visit.

I've been here every time I've been to Malaga and I can say that year after year, the food scene has improved. Now you really have where and what to eat. As for shopping, it's always been good (offers only in March/July)
Arianna S — Google review
Plaza Mayor is a great spot for anyone looking for a comprehensive shopping experience in Málaga. It’s not quite as charming or historic as the old town, but it offers a good mix of shops, restaurants, and entertainment, all in one place. It’s perfect for those who want to take a break from the city center hustle and bustle, do some shopping, and enjoy a leisurely meal. If you're after a day out with a more modern and spacious feel, this is a solid option in Málaga.

The Museo Fundación Unicaja de Artes y Costumbres Populares, located in the Old Town of Malaga, is housed in a beautifully renovated 17th-century inn. The museum offers an intriguing glimpse into 19th-century life in Málaga through its display of furniture, agricultural tools, folk costumes, and artisan crafts. Visitors can explore the characteristic Andalusian building with Moorish architectural elements and pleasant gardens while learning about local culture and traditions.
I like this museum. But the saddlery items should be presented better. At least in Spanish. There is for example a donkey saddle. It is so unique, as only few people are doing those.
Eva K — Google review
Cozy museum of folk culture, a large number of exhibits, beautiful collections, interesting examples of the culture of living in the past. The building and the place have without a doubt great charm, the courtyard is very nice and overall it is very quiet. The staff was friendly. On Sunday we were there all alone, which was an exceptional experience.
Lenka K — Google review
What a gem ! Not even a 5 minute walk from the Market and only €4 to get in ( €2 for students / retirees, everyone free on Mondays !!) It’s inside a beautiful house with an inner court yard, stables, wooden beams and gorgeous stairs. Just the building alone is worth the visit. You’ll find an old kitchen, dining room, bedroom, study all in old style. But also all kinds of displays regarding how wine/oil/soap/ iron was made. Costumes/Toys/ farm equipment/ wagons/ saddles/ basket s and on and on it goes! So very very interesting. Every display and room has an explanatory sign in Spanish and English. Highly recommend. Can’t beat the price.

Very nice museum in an old house. Costumes, home furnishings, decor of bourgeois and common people of the 18th & 19th century on the upper floor. Small fishing boat, blacksmith, stable with carriages, wine making, and kitchen on the ground floor. In the city center. A short walk from many of the other museums, restaurants, and shopping. Ticket prices are very low cost.

Best visit on a Monday free schedule. Quite interesting sharing of the local culture in exhibition of ancient objects. Pretty pleasing, quite short - sort of a chill trip museum you’d enjoy as a kid.

Beautiful old artifacts. Monday is free from 10am-2pm. Two stories. I did not see an elevator/lift, probably because it's an old structure turned into a museum.

Thianis a really interesting place where you can see oall th old customs and the way people used to live. It is very inexpensive and nice done. You can see the old means of transport, the trades people used to work in, and the original clothes. The house is kept as it used to be in the 17th century. I really loved my visit there!

The Museum of Illusions is an interactive and immersive museum that will leave your head spinning. You'll find exhibits with illusions that will make your eyes pop out, as well as 3D exhibits that will let you experience the world in a whole new way. The staff are excellent and it's a great experience that is plenty big enough to be interesting but small enough not to get bored.
Of you like illusions and using your imagination to take creative photos, you'll love this place. Some of the things are nothing special, as you can guess, while other items are super cool, incredible or just great fun.

Well worth the visit. An informative but fun way of exploring magic, great for kids and adults alike. Make sure to bring camera or phone to take fun pics with your partner, family or friends
Caroline H — Google review
We had fun here, it's not that expensive, a small place but fun if you don't mind jumping a little around. You do need another person with you, and a mobile phone to get the full fun.
Rielou H — Google review
Kids and adults alike had a great time. For a small fee you get to roam around and explore the different optical illusions in the first area. Then there are photo opportunities that use optical illusions that are really creative. The kids had a great time "falling off a building" and "trying not to fall down a lift shaft". The staff were excellent and we had no language barriers at all. I would highly recommend. We spent around an hour and half exploring but could be done quicker if you want to explore more places.

We had such a wonderful time visiting the Museo de la Imaginación with my wife and children! The museum is full of creativity, hands-on exhibits, and so many opportunities for the kids to have lots of fun too. Everything was well organized, clean, and thoughtfully designed to spark curiosity and imagination. The staff were friendly and helpful, making sure we all felt welcome. It was a truly a memorable family experience and ended with lots of amazing photos — we can’t wait to come back

€10 entry fee and you'll come out with some super photos of you and your companions doing some crazy upside down illusions!! When we visted, there were only two orher people there so there was absolutely no waiting to try all the different activities. It's difficult to explain but it's definitely worth it!

If you've ever passed by the Malaga airport without realizing there's an incredible museum right behind it, then you're missing out. The Museo Aeronáutico de Málaga is a hidden gem featuring four buildings and various outdoor exhibits that make up an interactive airplane museum. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of aviation, trying out pilot seats, exploring aircraft interiors, and getting a glimpse of what maintenance and baggage claim used to be like.
It really was like going back in time. How wonderful to be surrounded by so much memorabilia. The museum is extensive with displays from complete aircraft to model planes, airline uniforms, engines, helicopters, airport machinery and instruments, aviation history and the history of the land where the airport stands. I particularely like the information about famous women in avaition. Keep up the good work. The visit is free. We were very happy to make the requested voluntary contribution. Beautiful!

I have been there 3 times in the past 5 years with different ages groups and it just keeps getting better. I highly recommend it! Andres gave us a great experience inside the DC-3 with sound effects that the 12-13 year old boys that sat in the cockpit loved! Also the A380 Rolls Royce Trent 9000 engine is impressive! And the first Malaga Airport terminal still intact etc. very cool place , and you can touch just about anything !
Marc B — Google review
Very cool museum, especially considering it's free! You have to pay to try the flight simulators, but otherwise nothing cost money. There isn't a lot of shade outdoors so I recommend you bring water and a hat. We came by bus, and from the bus stop the route to the museum wasn't super obvious, but we found it just fine. The people at the museum were friendly and helpful.

Visited the museo again yesterday, we haven't been back for a few years but so glad we did we loved it. Many new things added including the Guide who was great. Thanks

What a fantastic place this is! My wife and I visited today and spent 3 hours happily immersed in aviation and it’s all free. No need for tickets. Set in and around the original airport terminal, it has wonderful displays of every aspect of the airport through the years. From the aircraft on display themselves, there’s rooms full of uniforms, luggage, tickets, airport equipment of all sorts, fire and follow me trucks, archaeological finds, models, dioramas, aircraft engines from little Lycomings to a monster Rolls Royce Trent, radar aerials and screens, Very lights, radios, teletypers - if it’s ever been used at an airport it’s almost certainly on display here. Set right by the business aircraft parking area, it has a great view of the southern end of runway 31. There’s both a proper built seating area, plus you can climb up an old set of air stairs in the fire truck area. We could never do this in the UK! The buildings themselves have been very well preserved and you can almost imagine the staff and passengers of old in the terminal building. The whole place is a credit to everyone who has had a hand in getting the museum to its current very high standard. The DC9 nose section built in to the building is a real eye opener! It’s a brilliant idea to see from both sides. If you have even a passing interest in aviation, this is a museum well worth a few hours of your time.
Tim F — Google review
Really great experience and museum, the guided tour was amazing and we got to see the inside of many of the planes in the museum and learn about their history. The tour does take about an hour, so you know and the staff are really amazing, it was in Spanish only when we visited and I translated for my partner. They do have maps in English and some of the signs in the planes were also in English. It's impressive how many exhibits they have and you can easily spend a couple of hours there. Highly recommend if you're in the area, they have long opening hours on Tuesdays!
Alexandra — Google review
Not easy to get too but for the price(free) its nice. Everybody working there is there for the love of aviation and not for salery if you are visiting during lunch hour you will not be able to get inside the aircrafts on display but still can go into 3 visiting centers with a lot of interesting aviation stuff. My wife was very anoyed on the way there but after the visit she was happy that we did go
Dániel F — Google review
We had a wonderful time here! I suggest to wait a tour, as the volunteer will show you some secret locations, allow you to enter some flightdeck, and tell stories. As an aviation enthusiast I highly recommend to visit Aeromuseo! Special thanks to our guide, Juan, who really made the extramile with us for translating everything to English. (Yes, a small downside is that most of the descriptions are in spanish.)

If you're on the lookout for an engaging family outing in Malaga, look no further than the Principia Science Center. This interactive museum is a treasure trove of scientific exploration, featuring hands-on exhibits and workshops that cater to curious minds of all ages.
Five stars for science education. It's a small, one-hall science center, with a good collection of the classic science center physics exhibits (all operational), and an enthusiastic staff that were eager to help and explain, notwithstanding the language barrier. Stopped by to check it out on my unofficial global science center tour. There are a bunch of school groups there having a great time. I also peeked in on a fairly comprehensive science lecture (in Spanish). They have monthly astronomy nights, with what seems to be an observatory in the roof.

Very nice place worth to visit while you are in the city. Fascinating both adults and kids Experipents show will give you ideas on what to make at home with little ones
Margaryta D — Google review
It looks like there is a presentation session each day early after opening. So it makes sense to check this out. But it is not a must have. The experiments you can experience your self. Everything is written in Spanish but easy to get even with no Spanish skills. The staff is above expectations friendly and even smart in physics. Bus 17 brings you non stop from downtown. Recommended place.
Stefan S — Google review
Small but interesting and inexpensive, the staff was very positive and helpful, you can see they really want the kids to develop an appetite for science. We will return! Don't miss the interactive topographic sand exhibit, it was a huge hit with the kids

Great big park for children! Very clean

Nice park and very pleasing to the eye. It is for older children. The largest castle is for children 6 years and older. And the children's area for 2 or 3 years. Pars middle age can be boring and need supervision to be in the big castle. Metal slides that make the legs stick together and do not slip well. Closed slides and adults have difficult access and visibility inside it. It has swings adapted to children with needs. Area for the little ones very acceptable. The animals made of materials are precious and make the park very happy. Enough green areas to take refuge. Various activity areas. Very easy parking. Mercadona nearby. 😜👍

Gibralfaro is a lush hill in Malaga, featuring walking paths leading up to a 14th-century castle with stunning rampart views and a museum. The Monte Gibralfaro Forest Park, located at the foot of the castle, offers an urban forest experience with dense Mediterranean vegetation covering nearly 300,000 square meters. The park boasts various trails for exploration amidst Aleppo pines, eucalyptus, cypresses, and other native flora.
This place offers great views of the city and you do have options for how you go to the top. The walking path is steep but fully paved, or you can take a taxi. We walked to the top, but didn’t pay to go in. It’s in the heart of centro.

We had an amazing time playing Murder on the Orient Express! From the moment we stepped into the room, we were fully immersed in the mystery. Many thanks and congratulations to Alex, the game master

One of the best escape rooms we’ve ever done! We played Murder on the Orient Express and had a blast. The room was beautifully designed, just like in the movie — the decoration and atmosphere were spot on. The puzzles were clever and challenging, maybe even a bit too much for just the two of us, even though we’re experienced players. Luckily, the Game Master was super attentive and gave us just the right amount of help along the way, which made the whole experience even better. We had so much fun and would definitely recommend it!

E bike tour of Granada. We had the most fabulous guide (a lovely Brazilian but I forgot his name). We saw a lot of the highlights of Granada but also little secret places that were the absolute highlight for me. Knowledgeable, fun and professional. I would totally do this again in another city.

We rented perfectly balanced ebikes in good condition, with gears, lock, computer and covered chain for a whole day. We made a reservation and bikes were ready for us on smooth pick up. The battery was full when we got the ebikes. We cycled 40 km on along the coast on eco / tour and battery was still on full when we returned the bikes.

The Málaga Roman Theatre is a contemporary museum located at an ancient Roman theater site. The theater, dating back to the 1st century and built during the reign of Emperor Augustus, is currently undergoing restoration and preservation by archaeologists. It is conveniently situated in Málaga's historic center, near major attractions such as the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro Castle.
Well it just stays there. Visiting the Roman theater ruins was an unforgettable experience. The site is well-preserved enough to spark the imagination, allowing you to picture how grand and lively it must have been in ancient times. Walking among the stone seating and arches feels like stepping back in history. It’s a must-see for anyone who enjoys culture, history, or simply beautiful places with a story to tell.

Located on the slope of The Alcazaba the Roman Theatre was covered until 1951. Discovered in the mid-20th century during construction of the Casa de la Cultura, its excavation revealed marble flooring, a rainwater drainage system, and intact supports for the wooden performance platform. Despite centuries of burial and use as a quarry during Muslim rule, the theater survived in exceptional condition. In 1994, the Casa de la Cultura was demolished to expand the archaeological zone, uncovering the extraordinary extent of the Roman theater’s preservation beneath the urban fabric of Málaga.
Liam C — Google review
Free of charge, the city's oldest historical site locates right in the heart of Malaga next to the Alcazaba. You will first enter a visitor centre, which tells you all about the history and structure of the theatre, very informative. You would then see the ruin after exiting the centre. Went in March, not crowded at all(maybe because it's raining), on a warm sunny day, you could sit on the top and enjoy the scene as much as you want.

It is free, so why not see it if you are there. Especially as it is at the bottom.of the Alcazaba..It was buried under slums for centuries, before it was discovered...Wonderful piece of history. Would be nice if there was some info about it, but there is always Google.. Just don't go to the awful Tapas place just down the road from it..

This was a wonderful find. It was free to visit, there was lots to look at and it was all very well preserved and very well maintained. The area’s lower down were clearly visible from the flat area at the front. For those who are willing to climb the steps there is a fantastic view of the whole city from the top.is would not be easily accessible to families with pushchairs or those who have a disability. There is some shade at certain points but much of this is in the sun.

Nestled within a stunning 1791 building that echoes the grandeur of Italian palaces, the Malaga Museum stands as a cultural gem in the heart of Andalusia. As the largest museum in Malaga, it offers an impressive collection of artworks spanning various eras, showcasing masterpieces from renowned global artists alongside local talents. Visitors can immerse themselves in an interactive experience that goes beyond mere observation, making each visit memorable and engaging.
Really enjoyed the timeline of Spanish art's rise and development. The archaeological piece, the telling of the area's change in hands and the impact on the people here was also very interesting. What is super fun is that I visited the botanical gardens and saw the influential family's initial "museum" of local archaeological finds and they are all on display here, in person. Very interesting.

I spent 3 hours exploring this museum. It was my last day in Málaga and the air conditioning so welcome on such a hot day. The building itself is a beautiful building with a lot of history. The entry fee is very low but free if you’re a citizen of the EU. Bring ID to prove this. They have lockers to store bags etc. Despite the age of the building, it is extremely accessible with elevators on both sides and bathrooms on each floor. Part of the display shows the story of the building itself and how the museum came to be housed in there. I was traveling solo and this meant I could explore at my own pace. I started off on the bottom floor and worked my way up. I took a break in the second floor and sat on the stunning outdoor balcony overlooking the interior patio for a while. I used the beautiful staircase instead of the elevators. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I stopped at every display reading the information, hence the 3 hour visit! Highly recommend this museum as a place for all ages to visit.

The museum has an archaeology section and an art section, both which take you through Malaga’s history and art scene across the centuries. The courtyard is stunning and is so beautiful you can definitely spend some time there relaxing and taking it all in. The entrance fee for UK citizens was €1.50 which was very affordable. Larger items such as backpacks do need to be stored in the storage lockers which need €1 (returnable) which uses a key system.

I wandered into the Museo de Málaga when I saw on Google Maps that it was one of the least busy places in recent days — probably thanks to the rain. Drawn by the grandeur of the Palacio de la Aduana and its calm presence near the port, I decided to explore. The entry was free — a quiet gift for being part of the European Union — and that somehow made the experience feel even more generous. Inside, the marble staircases and high courtyards felt like a cathedral of time. I took photos of both the exterior and the exhibitions — fragments of history frozen in light. Ancient sculptures, faded mosaics, and romantic 19th-century paintings coexisted under one elegant roof, telling stories of empires, rituals, and emotions that once pulsed through Málaga. I loved how the building itself became part of the exhibition — layers of sea air, trade, and government now turned into art and memory. It felt like walking through transformation, the very essence of rebirth: from customs palace to museum, from commerce to culture. Before entering, you hang your umbrella in a special holder with a lock and key, and then leave your bag in a locker — you’ll need a one-euro coin, so bring one with you. Free to enter for EU citizenship, other may be a small fee, yet rich in meaning — a space worth visiting not just for what you see, but for how it quietly rearranges something inside you. ✨ Phoenix Perpetuale — review from Málaga 📚 Goodreads: Phoenix Perpetuale

Is there a better way to time-travel than stepping into Málaga’s vibrant past? This museum is a gem art, history, and culture collide in the most captivating way. The Roman mosaics are stunning, but the real surprise? Málaga’s been a cultural hotspot for over 2,800 years, and you can feel every century in these halls. A must-visit if you’re in town!
Gennie M — Google review
For me this museum wasn’t that interesting - there are mostly painting from Spanish artists and if you don’t know that much about local art, you probably won’t enjoy it that much. The archeological part of the museum was more interesting for me. Also, it’s situated in a really beautiful building that is worth seeing!

Located in the heart of Malaga, OXO - Museo del Videojuego offers an extensive collection of gaming consoles and exhibitions dedicated to classic games. The museum provides interactive experiences for both kids and adults, making it a fun visit even for those not heavily into gaming. Visitors can enjoy playing on giant controllers and exploring different types of games dating back to the 70s.
Really enjoyed my visit. The introduction was very well done and set the mood perfectly. The museum itself is super clean, well-sorted, and the structure of the exhibit makes it easy and fun to follow the history of gaming with a look into its present and future. The only downside is that the 2 hours provided are nowhere near enough — there’s so much to see and experience that I could have stayed much longer. Highly recommend this place to everyone, whether you’re into video games or just curious. A must-visit in Málaga :)

For those who are sensitive to noise, I recommend using noise-canceling headphones to block out the sounds coming from every direction.

Definitely worth the money, much more than the cathedral near there 🤣 It's an interactive museum so you can play and have the description of each game. 4 floors of beautiful stuff. Well done!

We really enjoyed the videogame museum. It was more interactive than we expected - we had a go at quite a few games, our favourites were probably Pac-Man, donkey Kong, time crisis 2 and Star Wars battle pod. It was reasonably toddler friendly, as our one year old enjoyed walking around and seeing all the lights - plus we held them up to play a few of the giant games.
Louise — Google review
At first we thought the tickets were pricey, considering our expectations were pretty low, but OXO turned out to be the most amazing gaming museum there could be. You can play both old and new consoles, PCs and arcades, as well as read about the history of different inventions and gaming companies. If you’re a gamer, consider visiting for 3 hours or longer. We only had 2 hours before closing and it definitely wasn’t enough.
Sophie E — Google review
Amazing museum! You can play with almost all the consoles from different times in the past! A must when visiting Malaga!
Eike W — Google review
Visited OXO and felt like I’d been dropped into a time-machine. The museum takes you from Pong era blips right up to modern VR. The playable consoles on the first floor made me wish I’d brought more quarters (though you don’t need them🙃) and the staff were ready to help. yes, there was life before Fortnite. tip: allow at least 2-3 hours if you’ll actually play the games not just look. Also: first room it’s loud and packed with flashing screens. Very highly recommended for gamers and anyone who ever wondered what the fuss is about. Worth every euro. And better like many new games💙 kinda sad that I don't have arcades at home🫠

Unlike in for instance in a museum of fine arts, you never know what to expect in a museum of contemporary art. It can be anything and the appreciation or dislike greatly depends on one's own background and taste. I was not impressed when I visited this museum. It's much of the same as you see nowadays in most museums of contemporary art. The good thing was the entrance was free
Seimen B — Google review
A nice contemporary art center with two temporary exhibitions and one permanent collection show on view. The entrance is free, so it's worth a visit. You can download the exhibition catalogues with QR codes, but not all the information are available in English.
Dalma K — Google review
There were several paintings by different painters and some individual collections. These are the ones that I enjoyed the most. I guess they could have got more paintings in as the place is quite big, and it seemed the space was not utilized to the maximum. Having said that, it was quite an experience. Their restaurant next door was quite busy, but the book and gift shop was closed
Thomas B — Google review
If you’re looking for free things to do in Malaga, try visiting this museum of contemporary art. Just off the city centre not too far by walking. It’s unpretentious and there are some beautiful pieces to take a look at, it’s housed in large open rooms, so you can walk around and absorb the whole exhibit in probably less than 3 hours.
K J — Google review
Five stars because the museum is free (it’s hard to complain when it’s free). To be objective, I could’ve been lucky to get into the free exhibition. Nevertheless, the place looks modern inside with lots of contemporary art. I would recommend to visit the place
Vladislavas L — Google review
This is one of my favourite galleries! The art is modern and accessible for most you're sure to find something you'll like but for me this is only the start. What I really appreciated was the size of the gallery and the space to walk around and be free. The white walls also added to this openness. You'll find some large scale canvases here which makes sense given the sheer scale of the place. The other bonus to this is that you are very unlikely to have any issue walking around people as you navigate from one piece to the next. All in all a lovely space and I hope to come again one day.

Museo Casa Natal de Picasso, also known as the Picasso birthplace museum, is a significant site in Malaga. It houses a collection of Picasso's sketches and ceramics, offering insights into the artist's life within his family home. Since its establishment in 1998, this museum has not only showcased artifacts and art from Picasso's childhood but has also become the headquarters of the Picasso Foundation and an important research center.
Very good museum, I’ve enjoyed my visit there. Price it’s low and you get free audio guide. You get to known Picasso’s early stage of life and overall philosophy of his mind and paintings. The stuff was friendly and nice. Totally recommended if you enjoy art.

A museum summarizing Picasso's life, ideas and works. ✅ Entry fee is €3 for adults, free for under 18 years old. ✅ There is a paid parking lot right next to it, it is possible to visit by car. ⚠️ It was smaller than I expected, it takes a maximum of 30 minutes.
Serkan K — Google review
Stepping into Casa Natal Picasso feels like entering the pulse of Málaga itself — intimate, sun-soaked, and brimming with restless genius. This is not just a museum; it’s a cradle of imagination, a quiet house where the first sparks of one of humanity’s wildest artistic flames were born. The rooms are small, filled with light and echoes — family photos, early sketches, and domestic objects that whisper of a gifted child who once watched the world through Mediterranean windows. You sense how early life’s warmth and chaos fermented into the revolutionary force that would later fracture and rebuild modern art. Unlike the grand Picasso Museum nearby, Casa Natal feels personal, almost tender. You can imagine the mother humming, the father painting, the boy absorbing colors before he could write words. Each piece here breathes intimacy: his lithographs, ceramics, and personal notebooks don’t shout genius — they hint it, like embers before ignition. The experience ends not with spectacle but with silence — a beautiful kind of reverence. You step back into the Andalusian sunlight and realize how the house and the city are inseparable from Picasso’s spirit: playful, radical, and forever alive. 🔥 Phoenix thought: Genius does not explode into being; it germinates quietly in ordinary rooms. Every creative soul has a birthplace — not just in geography, but in the moment when curiosity meets courage. —Goodreads Phoenix Perpetuale 🕊️

Nice little stop if you’re into Picasso or just curious about his early life. It’s not a huge museum and doesn’t have many of his famous works, but it gives a cool glimpse into where he came from. Some personal items, early sketches, and photos. Worth a quick visit if you’re nearby, but maybe not a must-see if you’re short on time
Klaudia S — Google review
We didn’t have time to go to the larger museum so we visited here instead. It was nice having the audio included in the price of the entry (Only 3 euros) - its a pretty good deal. Tons of great info on the audio. I only wish there were at least 1 or 2 of his paintings for the style Picasso is known for. Its mostly sketches and smaller paintings of earlier work. If you are interested in the history of Picasso, its a great visit. If you are looking to see more paintings, I imagine the large museum is a better stop.
Jennifer Z — Google review
A very different kind of Picasso museum, where many of his earlier and less well-known works are on display. Spanning two floors, while some of the pieces may not be as well-known, this is what makes this museum, unique. On the ground floor when I visited, there was also an exhibition by another artist who had cubism and Picasso-inspired style, which was very fun to see. Overall, highly recommended for a short, air conditioned, insightful tour of Picasso‘s life through his works. I went at the end of October and had not bought tickets in advance and showed up toward the end of the day and only waited in line for 5 to 10 minutes. However, I can see this museum being very busy, as such would recommend advanced tickets. I spent ~90 minutes in the museum.

Raine T — Google review
I love visiting spas and baths, and when I saw the good reviews for this place, I wanted to try it out, even though the price was on an expensive side. Long story short - it was definitely not worth the money. The place looks nice, I especially liked the changing rooms. The atmosphere around the pools with dimmed lights and candles is cool, and it wasn't crowded, probably because I booked the last slot for the day. However, the water in the 'hotter' pool was not hot enough for me, it was just warm. I was planning on going to this spa on a particular day when I really needed to get warm, but the pool did not do it for me. So, I went into the steam room, and got the heat I needed. Nevertheless, this was still disappointing, as I could go to a steam room elsewhere, and I particularly went to this place for a hot bath. I have also read reviews here praising some tea that was offered at this place, and I was rather interested, as I like trying new teas. It turned out to be Rooibos, which is something I take on weekly basis, so it wasn't some special mixture to be impressed by, as one would deduct from the reviews. When I entered the baths, I was advised to go to a place where they hold fragrances of massage oils, so I can choose the one I liked the best for my massage. All of them smelled really nice, so it was a hard decision to make. About half time into my stay, I was called for a massage. I told the masseuse the fragrance of the oil of my choice, and the massage started. However, it wasn't really a massage. It was so soft, that it was literally just caressing. And I couldn't really smell the oil I have chosen. After 15 minutes, the 'massage' was done, and I was told to go take a shower using the shower gel, so that I would take off the oil before going back to the bath. Needless to say, there was no point in using that lovely fragrance oil as I hardly even noticed it. After taking a shower, I wanted to get warm again, so I went back to the steam room. But at this point in time, the steam room was not that hot, as they have turned off the steam, probably because it was close to closing time. So, I went back to the 'hotter' pool, and got disappointed again by its temperature. Worth mentioning is that the staff is pleasant, but nothing over-the-top which I also saw in other reviews. The shower gels and shampoos also have a nice smell to them. All said and done - this place is definitely not worth the price. I have been to several other similar places that cost less, and got much greater value than at this place.

Booked the Midra service with water journey, massage and hot foam. Very worthwhile, relaxing experience. Well-organised process. The interior is a labrynth but staff direct you to the various areas. The masseuse offers to concentate on legs or upper body. Choice of oils offered for the massage. The foam experience felt tingling. Left feeling wonderfully relaxed and refreshed.

Brilliant Hamman, staff are so polite. Lockers are very secure, the changing rooms have eveything, hair dryer, straightners, creams, deodrant and combs. The inside is stunning and the massages cant be missed! Steam room and Sauna can easily be missed so make sure you ask!
Will S — Google review
Nice experience, but for sure overpriced I visited the Hamam for the first time. The building is super beautiful inside, also made cozy with light just of lots of real candles and they serve really nice tea. The water of the three warm pools is nice warm, but one bath more hot or some sauna would be nice. The massage was, how others already stated, really soft, but I had a nice masseuse so I could still enjoy and relax. You are not allowed to wear shoes, so everywhere the ground is slippery, this rule I don't get... Overall I had a really nice experience. Not nice was, that just in my booking confirmation they told me I am only allowed to stay 1,5h in the bath, the time for the massage does not come on top! For the price of 93Euros (15min scrub, 15min massage, 1 hour bath)... really a bit scam. I don't regret I made this today but you should really think about your pricing.
Hoo P — Google review
Wonderful way to end a day of site seeing! Booked an 8pm with 15m scrub and 15m massage (if we had booked earlier, I would have gone with a 30m massage). Staff was extremely professional and the place was incredibly relaxing. I could have fallen asleep on the warm marble slab! Would definitely go again and look for their other hammams across the country.
Patti G — Google review
I went there recently (Nov 25) and had a really good experience. It is professional, and the baths inside are beautiful. The whole place is kept clean and in an ambience of relaxation. The only part that can be improved, is that inside the bath you are not allowed to use flip/flops (or shoes for the swimming pool) and have to be barefoot. In terms of hygiene I personally did not like that. And the bathrooms are in the changing rooms only, so you have to go back down every time to the changing area to use the wc. Other than that it is a lovely place, but its not a big Hammam.

Centro Comercial Larios Centro is a renowned shopping destination in Malaga, conveniently located near the city's transportation hubs. This expansive mall spans 99,000 square meters across two floors and houses 153 establishments, including a diverse array of fashion boutiques such as Zara, H&M, and Primark. Additionally, it features popular dining options like Burger King and McDonald's.
This is a big shopping centre just outside of Málaga. When I was there I enjoyed walking around the shops and I especially liked the massive Primark in the centre. There is also a supermarket in the basement and a Burger king by the main entrance. If you are looking for a shopping experience in the Costa del Sol then this is the centre for you. Please note that this centre is a 3 minute walk from Málaga main train station and is about a 15 to 20 minute walk away from the main Málaga city centre.

A great shopping centre. Plenty of well known shops, loads of parking at a reasonable price, nice location. In April there are beautiful blossom type trees outside the main entrance, gorgeous. It's spotless everywhere, nice and spacious so you don't get squashed during busy periods

A truly charming store! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a warm atmosphere, soft lighting, and a beautifully organized selection of products. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the experience even more enjoyable. I spent a lovely afternoon browsing and discovering unique finds. So glad I stumbled upon this delightful shop!
Karim H — Google review
Nice shop bit on the posh end. Yet it's not well post signed, we went on the opposite direction when we came out of the station. Whereas is they post signs well it's on the left hand side and you can see the place. But it's a learning experience
Yuen S — Google review
This mall has Primark, food court, lots of stores with great selection and friendly staff. Also, it was a welcome respite from the heat outside while getting all our shopping done. 5 stars
D S — Google review
I shipped until I dropped for my kids and enjoyed the vibe of the mall and clean, good air conditioning, along with a variety of stored and food.
Bryanna H — Google review
A great range of shops here and restaurants upstairs. For the Irish missing home there is Primark (Pennies). This is the largest one here in Málaga and it covers two floors! Dunnes Stores here as well and a fantastic range of shoe & handbag stores for everyone!
Rosie K — Google review
Parking is a nightmare if you don't know the system! It's free for a short time only and the time is insufficient for seeing everything at the centre or including refreshments. Before going to your car ensure you go to the control centre parking office (if you can find it) present your ticket and, if you are over the time limit, you need to show them a purchase receipt to get free parking. Control centre is not on top floor so if you park there you'll need to go to the next level down. Won't be returning as just too much hassle.

Museum
The Museum of the Malaga Port has exhibits on the region's marine life and live fish in aquarium tanks. It is a compact museum with seaviews, and despite its small size it is packed with educational experiences. Turtles rescued by local veterinarians are a highlight, as is sailing simulator, enormous seashells of all shapes, and an insightful movie that begins the visit. There is much variety here, and well organised in a relatively small space. A must see for kids!

A lot of variety and well organised in a relatively small space. A must see.
Aisha I — Google review
Small museum with marine fossils, bones, live fish, ship models. Kids have an option to feel and touch some items. Disappointed with the sizes of the aquariums. They seem too small and crammed for the creatures.
Harry C — Google review
Great location, unfortunately the museum display is terrible, little informative and very disappointing for children. We tried to make the best of it so my child would enjoy it but it was a waste of money plus staff were a bit rude and super uninterested of the few tourists wandering around (all with children). Pity for the city image
E L — Google review
Great place to spend an hour, very interesting exhibits. Children love it because there are hands on and interactive items. I would certainly recommend visiting if your walking in the Marina.
Mike O — Google review
Small but educational! Lots of hands on exhibits
TehT — Google review
Probably the best place in southern Spain to really learn something about the sea and its inhabitants. Don't expect this to be an aquarium, a place like Selwo Marina, Sealife, etc.. - it isn't. Aula del Mar is all about conservation, this is not a circus ... but you may get the chance to see a giant turtle in the recuperation tank, or any of the other many animals that is being cared for here, whilst waiting for the day they go back into the water. Combine your visit with a trip on a glass bottom boat and chill at one of the many bars at Muelle Uno afterwards, or go to one of the restaurants.. .

I loved a whale made of waste found in ocean. Cool museum, but shame many of informations is not translated to English. Had only one and half hour so I had just a quick look hopefully next time in Malaga I will have some more time :)

Outdoor Activities
Playas del Palo is a renowned beach located in the eastern part of Malaga, Spain, within the charming fisherman's quarter. The area is famous for its fresh seafood served in beach bars and restaurants. Accessible by public transport, it's a popular spot for international tourists due to the presence of Spanish schools nearby. This coastal gem offers small bays formed naturally by sand and rocks, providing a more tranquil atmosphere compared to other bustling beaches in Malaga.
It has four white sand beaches created by five breakwaters. It is quiet and the current is not strong, so it is a place frequented by locals, especially families. There are good restaurants lined up along the beach.
Seokjin H — Google review
Lovely beach and nice restaurants nearby. Fine sand and you can rent a beach chair for 7€/ day, pity water is still too cold for swimming.
Yana K — Google review
Great place, not so touristy and so crawded. There are some shops and very good food places around.
Tomasz W — Google review
Love it with no tourists ..... €7 for sun lounger.... very clean beach.
M D — Google review
Such a great experience, so worth it for the money, easy to do and absolutely lovely people!

Good beach. Sandy. Were able to sunbathe and swim on Oct 12. Even though I usually stay away from cold water, the sea was super nice (but not hot of course).
Dayana V — Google review
I was there on a week day around noon. It was pretty quiet there, the water was clear and even as a person who doesn't like cold water, I could go in quite far (end of October). At least the part of the beach I was at didn't have any trash.
Siene 1 — Google review
The best beach in Malaga we have been to. The sand was fine and clean, the water - shallow and calm. Very suitable for families and small children.
